- 0:13up and putting us on our feet. Lord, we thank you for your holy
- 0:16scriptures. Lord, continue to show up, show
- 0:20off, show out. God, rescue those to the utmost.
- 0:25Father, I pray that somebody will get saved today.
- 0:28I pray that somebody will finally let go of all of their
- 0:32hurts and their hang ups and their habits, Lord, and they'll
- 0:36surrender completely and fully and totally over until you heal
- 0:41us today. God, heal our broken bodies,
- 0:43heal our minds. Lord, heal our families and
- 0:46marriages. God bring the prodigals home.
- 0:49God, we lift up law enforcement in military and ask you, God, to
- 0:54supernaturally protect those. God, give them a divine force
- 0:59field all around them. Father, those agents that are
- 1:02doing your work, Lord, out in the harvest.
- 1:06Lord, I pray that they will be sensitive to what it is that
- 1:10they're hearing and seeing and what it is they are to do.
- 1:14God, we ask for righteous judges in the land, we ask that you'll
- 1:19continue to help us to exalt the Holy Scriptures above all
- 1:25narrative. God, help us to actually believe
- 1:28it, to actually walk in it. Father, we love you, teach us
- 1:33your past, teach us your ways. Holy Spirit, fill us today.
- 1:37In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 1:44And the Lord spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the
- 1:48first month of the second year after they had come out of the
- 1:51land of Egypt, saying so here. This is the anniversary of the
- 1:55first Passover that they went through in Egypt.
- 2:00Whenever the destroying Angel went by and destroyed all the
- 2:03first borns that did not have the blood covering the lentil of
- 2:08the doorpost. To let the children of Israel
- 2:12also keep the Passover at His appointed season 3 in the 14th
- 2:17day of this month at evening you shall keep it in his appointed
- 2:21season, according to all the rites of it, and according to
- 2:25all the ceremonies of it. Shall you keep it?
- 2:28Four. And Moses spoke unto the
- 2:31children of Israel, they that they should keep the Passover.
- 2:34And friends, we are to keep the Passover as well, so that we can
- 2:38be passed over in the day, friends.
- 2:40And our Passover is Jesus Christ.
- 2:44We put His blood upon our lives and we're covered in it from the
- 2:50top of our head to the bottom of our feet, friends.
- 2:52And we stand before a holy God, and we are passed over from the
- 2:56judgment of those who refuse him and blasphemy the Spirit.
- 3:01And whenever they have to stand before a holy God on the great
- 3:05white judgment, the great white throne, friends.
- 3:08And they try to give all kinds of their pedigree and all of
- 3:12their resume and everything they did, and they cast out demons in
- 3:17his name and they performed miracles in his name.
- 3:21And they did all these things. He's going to say, depart from
- 3:25me because they're not covered in the blood of Jesus.
- 3:28We need it, friends, in order to be passed over in that day.
- 3:34Five. And they kept the Passover on
- 3:36the 14th day of the first month, that evening in the wilderness
- 3:39of Sinai, according to all that the Lord commanded Moses.
- 3:43So did the children of Israel. So you can see this radical
- 3:47obedience up to this .6 And there were certain men who were
- 3:51defiled by the dead body of a man, and they could not keep the
- 3:55Passover on that day. And they came before Moses, and
- 3:58before Aaron on that day. 7 And those men said unto him, We are
- 4:04defiled by the dead body of a man, Wherefore are we kept back,
- 4:08that we may not offer an offering of the Lord as
- 4:11appointed season among the children of Israel?
- 4:148 And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and now we'll hear
- 4:18what the Lord will command concerning you. 9 And the Lord
- 4:22spoke unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of
- 4:26Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall
- 4:31be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey far
- 4:35off, yet he shall keep the Passover unto the Lord.
- 4:38So God here is going to make a couple provisions, and he's
- 4:42going to let them know how they can keep Passover if they're
- 4:47unclean. And he's going to give them this
- 4:49month timeline so that they can know that they have been passed
- 4:54over and they can celebrate it. 11 The 14th day of the second
- 5:07Monday evening shall you keep it and eat it with unleavened bread
- 5:10and bitter herbs. So we know that the Passover
- 5:13ultimately passes. It points us towards the cross
- 5:17of Christ of Calvary friends. We see that this unleavened
- 5:21bread was the Last Supper, and the bitter herbs was the bitter
- 5:25cup that Jesus drank from friends, this cup of wrath that
- 5:29was poured out on him. 12 And they shall leave none of it
- 5:33until the morning, nor break any bone of it, according to all the
- 5:37ordinances of the Passover. They shall keep it.
- 5:40So we know that is the body of Jesus.
- 5:43None of his bones were broken, friends.
- 5:45And that is what you need to know is that all the way back
- 5:48here God is prophesying of what will happen to Jesus on that
- 5:53cross. 13 But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey,
- 5:58and for bears to keep the Passover, even the same soul
- 6:02shall be cut off from among his people, because he brought not
- 6:05the offering of the Lord, and his appointed season, that man
- 6:09shall bear his sin. So God here is saying that if
- 6:13they were able to that they were required to. 14 But if and if a
- 6:19stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the Passover
- 6:24unto the Lord, according to the ordinance of the Passover, and
- 6:28according to the manner thereof, so shall he do, You shall have
- 6:33one ordinance, both for the stranger and for him that was
- 6:37born in the land. So here God is telling them that
- 6:41if the stranger wanted to partake in the Passover, he was
- 6:46allowed to do so just so as long as he did it within the exact
- 6:52requirements that God here was showing the Israelites.
- 6:57And it's no different today. In John chapter 14 verse 6,
- 7:01Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life, and no one
- 7:05comes unto the Father except through me.
- 7:08And he did not say I'm one of many ways.
- 7:11And so therefore there's only one way to the Father and his
- 7:14name is Jesus and that's the way we come in.
- 7:17It doesn't matter who you are. It doesn't matter how wealthy
- 7:20you are, your stature, it doesn't matter your skin color,
- 7:23your language, it doesn't matter what continent you grew up on.
- 7:27It doesn't matter Your childhood trauma, doesn't matter how good
- 7:31you've had it in life. It doesn't matter.
- 7:33Friends, we all must come the same way through Jesus Christ
- 7:38unto the Father. There's only one way. 15 And on
- 7:49the day that the Tabernacle was reared up, the cloud covered the
- 7:53Tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony.
- 7:56And that evening there was upon the Tabernacle, as it were, the
- 8:00appearance of fire until the morning.
- 8:02So here we could see this cloud by day and pillar of fire by
- 8:06night, And the cloud would give the coolness for the sun, and
- 8:10the fire would give warmth. And they both were pointing
- 8:14towards where the Israelites were to go.
- 8:16And this was the manifest presence of God in the camp,
- 8:20Friends 16 So it was always the cloud covered it by day, in the
- 8:26appearance of fire by night. And you can see here that they
- 8:30had all these miraculous signs. So it is a very sad thing to see
- 8:38that even after all the miracles that they were shown, they still
- 8:42had a rebellious, stiff necked heart. 17 And when the cloud was
- 8:48taken up from the Tabernacle, then after that the children of
- 8:51Israel journeyed, and in the place where the cloud abode,
- 8:55there the children of Israel pitched their tents. 18 At the
- 8:58commandment of the Lord the children of Israel journeyed,
- 9:02and at the commandment of the Lord they pitched.
- 9:04As long as the cloud abode upon the Tabernacle, they rested in
- 9:08their tents. So this was a compass.
- 9:10This was an indicator. It was to show them where they
- 9:13should go, or it was to show them that they were to sit tight
- 9:18and to stay put. 19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the
- 9:24Tabernacle, many days, then the children of Israel kept the
- 9:28charge of the Lord and journeyed not so that was what they were
- 9:32required to do. It didn't matter how long it
- 9:35stayed there. They had to stay as long as it
- 9:38stayed. But then they had to move when
- 9:41it moved. 19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the
- 9:48Tabernacle, many days the children of of Israel kept the
- 9:52charge of the Lord in journey not 20 And so it was when the
- 9:57cloud was a few days upon the Tabernacle.
- 10:00According to the commandment of the Lord, they abode in their
- 10:03tents, and according to the commandment of the Lord they
- 10:06journeyed. So God knows all of the external
- 10:11things that are happening that the Israelites would know
- 10:14nothing about. Whether it was weather patterns,
- 10:17whether it was hostile enemies in the vicinity, whether it was
- 10:23animals and invasions of pestilences or plagues, whether
- 10:27it was insect swarms, whether it was drought, whether it was some
- 10:32kind of blight. But God knew how to keep them
- 10:35alive, and He knew when they should sit, sit tight, and when
- 10:39they should be on the move. And if we'll be led by God,
- 10:43we're going to avoid so many pitfalls in life.
- 10:46It's those of us who want to go our own way and then ask God to
- 10:50cosign on our mess are the ones who get ourselves in a heap of
- 10:55trouble. 21 And so it was when the cloud abode from evening
- 11:03till morning, that the cloud was taken up.
- 11:05In the morning then they journeyed.
- 11:07Whether it was by day or night the cloud was taken up, they
- 11:11journeyed. 22 Or whether it were two days a month or a year that
- 11:15the cloud tarried upon the Tabernacle, remaining thereon
- 11:19the children of Israel abode in their tents and journeyed not,
- 11:22but when it was taken up they journeyed.
- 11:25So they had to be ready at a moment's notice to get on the
- 11:28move, and they had to be content to sit tight, no matter how long
- 11:33it was that the cloud and the fire tarried will end on. 23 At
- 11:38the commandment of the Lord they rested in their tents, and at
- 11:41the commandment of the Lord they journeyed.
- 11:44They kept the charge of the Lord at the commandment of the Lord
- 11:47by the hand of Moses. So here they got it right here
- 11:51they did what the Lord asked them to do.
- 11:54They were believing and walking in faith.
- 11:56But we're going to have to wait to see how it goes in a very
- 12:00short amount of chapters. I hope that you are blessed by
- 12:03this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 12:05I know I sure am. I'm praying for every single one
- 12:08of you. I love you.
- 12:10We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 12:12God bless you.
