Speaker 1: Hey guys, this is Donald Faison and Zach Braff. So
• 0:03
Speaker 1: this podcast we recorded it the same day after everyone
• 0:06
Speaker 1: found out George Floyd getting murdered. First of all, I
• 0:11
Speaker 1: do not necessarily know what to say to everyone out there. Truthfully,
• 0:17
Speaker 1: I wish everything and everyone could be happy right now,
• 0:20
Speaker 1: but that's definitely not what's going on in the world.
• 0:23
Speaker 1: For me. This is a time where I feel like
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: I don't know. I wish that I could sit here
• 0:30
Speaker 1: and say we're making progress, but we want to make
• 0:34
Speaker 1: you laugh here. I will say this, I am very,
• 0:37
Speaker 1: very supportive of the people out there fighting the good
• 0:39
Speaker 1: fight that are protesting right now, and I stand with you.
• 0:44
Speaker 2: We also wanted to let you know that the next
• 0:47
Speaker 2: few podcasts were recorded before all of this has reached
• 0:51
Speaker 2: such a fever pitch, and we didn't want you to
• 0:53
Speaker 2: think for a second that we were being callous about
• 0:56
Speaker 2: that and not dialed into what's happening. So we just
• 0:58
Speaker 2: wanted to let you you know the next few podcasts
• 1:01
Speaker 2: were recorded prior to things being as they are currently.
• 1:04
Speaker 1: That being said, I hope we can distract you from
• 1:06
Speaker 1: the madness that's going on right now for just an
• 1:10
Speaker 1: hour and a half just an hour and a half,
• 1:14
Speaker 1: sit back and enjoy this with us.
• 1:16
Speaker 2: Here we go. So Donald, you're five six minutes late. Well,
• 1:19
Speaker 2: well you know this is hot that we.
• 1:21
Speaker 1: Do, and do it five minutes late. My wife hot
• 1:26
Speaker 1: boxed medeo. She took a shower right before the podcast,
• 1:29
Speaker 1: and the shower is connected to the closet, like, not
• 1:34
Speaker 1: the shower itself, but the bathroom's connected to the closet.
• 1:37
Speaker 1: So it's like two hundred degrees in here right now.
• 1:41
Speaker 1: Amazon shirt. It feels like, well, I had this on
• 1:44
Speaker 1: for the view today, man, which.
• 1:45
Speaker 2: Looked great on the view. We were on the View today. Yeah,
• 1:48
Speaker 2: Donald's looked very handsome.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: And thank you very much. You changed your shirt.
• 1:52
  Speaker 2: I did. I put on a night I didn't. I
• 1:54
Speaker 2: wanted to look good for for for the ladies, and
• 1:56
Speaker 2: I put on a night you did.
• 1:57
Speaker 1: You look very nice anyway, My wife hot box. So
• 2:00
Speaker 1: it's like it's like an Amazon jungle up in here
• 2:02
Speaker 1: right now. Man, okay, and I want to show a
• 2:05
Speaker 1: tank top. I whantn't you switch to a tank top?
• 2:07
Speaker 1: We could watch it happen live. Listen. Man, she's mad
• 2:10
Speaker 1: about something right now. I don't know you're mad about
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: I did wrong. I don't know, man, I don't know.
• 2:14
Speaker 2: Sometimes you don't ever, you never know. Sometimes she's just mad.
• 2:17
Speaker 1: She's just mad out of know.
• 2:19
Speaker 2: I bet if you brainstorms, you could figure out what
• 2:22
Speaker 2: you may have done.
• 2:24
Speaker 1: In this moment right now. I can't figure it out.
• 2:27
Speaker 1: In other moments, I've been able to put it all
• 2:30
Speaker 1: together and be like, oh that was I bet it's
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: because of this.
• 2:33
Speaker 2: That's the worst. When you can't figure it out, You're like, what.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: I do, dude, I have no idea. I've been good
• 2:39
Speaker 1: to the kids. I fed them, you fed, I've done
• 2:43
Speaker 1: all of that stuff. I just don't know.
• 2:44
Speaker 2: Well, listen, I think we were really good on the view.
• 2:46
Speaker 2: It was hard because there was a big delay, yes,
• 2:50
Speaker 2: and and more so than normal zoom. It was like
• 2:54
Speaker 2: a few a second or two delays. So it's always
• 2:57
Speaker 2: tricky to be funny when when you're stepping all over
• 3:01
  Speaker 2: each other.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: Well, I will say this. My mother, who does not
• 3:06
Speaker 1: listen to our podcast, watched the view. She watch she
• 3:11
Speaker 1: said we are great together. She was like, I'm gonna
• 3:13
Speaker 1: tell you something. She was like, you and Zach interview
• 3:16
Speaker 1: so well together. It's ridiculous.
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: Oh that's nice.
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: Oh, man, listen.
• 3:21
Speaker 2: We want to cheer you up. If you're frustrated with
• 3:24
Speaker 2: the universe, and you're frustrated like Donald is, We're here
• 3:28
Speaker 2: to entertain you. We're here to take your mind off things.
• 3:31
Speaker 2: You might be on a hike, you might be walking
• 3:33
Speaker 2: your dog, you might be breastfeeding, you might be doing
• 3:35
Speaker 2: the dishes, you might be tugging one out. We are
• 3:38
Speaker 2: here to make you laugh. Donald.
• 3:40
Speaker 1: If you're tugging, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say one.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: Can I just say one thing before say one thing?
• 3:45
Speaker 1: If you're tugging one out while listening to us, Yes,
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: thank you.
• 3:54
Speaker 2: He would like you to finish as as Donald counts down,
• 3:57
  Speaker 2: do it.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: Five, six, seven, eight. I'm not show.
• 4:02
Speaker 3: We made about a bunch of Nisaea.
• 4:23
Speaker 2: I'm not sure if the good people at iHeart are
• 4:25
Speaker 2: going to approve that.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: But they don't give a shit about that.
• 4:27
Speaker 2: They're not even listening. They're not even listening.
• 4:30
Speaker 1: They don't care anymore.
• 4:31
Speaker 2: You know, my first sign with iHeart, they were like,
• 4:33
Speaker 2: you know, you know, you guys can just do whatever
• 4:35
Speaker 2: you want and we'll give you notes and thoughts and
• 4:37
Speaker 2: take them or leave them. We haven't heard anything from them.
• 4:39
Speaker 2: I think we're doing well enough that they just let
• 4:41
Speaker 2: us do our thing.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: I love the people over at iHeart I just put
• 4:44
Speaker 1: it out there. Let's just put it out there now
• 4:46
Speaker 1: wherever you're listening to your podcast right now. Yeah, I
• 4:50
Speaker 1: heeart has been so awesome to us.
• 4:54
Speaker 2: Yes, and Will. We got to give shout out to
• 4:56
Speaker 2: Will Pearson, who's the guy who we we we first
• 4:59
Speaker 2: met and and he's really come through with all his
• 5:02
Speaker 2: He pretty much said, you guys can do whatever you want.
• 5:04
Speaker 2: And uh, he's he's let us do our thing.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, you know, he didn't promise a lot of
• 5:09
Speaker 1: at the first meeting we had with him, but he
• 5:11
Speaker 1: was definitely like, this is a no brainer, guys, And.
• 5:15
Speaker 2: Well it is. I mean, look at this comic gold here.
• 5:17
Speaker 2: Plus we got we met, we met Dan and Joel.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, I know it's serendipitous if you really want to
• 5:23
Speaker 1: look at it. So I want to thank Joel, I
• 5:25
Speaker 1: want to thank Dan, I want to thank Will. I
• 5:27
Speaker 1: want to thank all of you out there listening right now.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: Thank you so much so far there.
• 5:31
Speaker 2: We're so grateful. We're so grateful for you. Neither one.
• 5:34
Speaker 2: Donald and I always talk about how we never thought
• 5:36
Speaker 2: this would be this much fun. We thought, uh, you know,
• 5:39
Speaker 2: we thought, okay, that'll be something to do, that'll be
• 5:41
Speaker 2: a little fun side projects. But we are having so
• 5:43
Speaker 2: much fun, and we we we know that you are.
• 5:46
Speaker 2: We see that you're that you're listening, and please tell
• 5:49
Speaker 2: your friends. We want to now we're now, we're invested.
• 5:51
Speaker 2: Now we're like, let's fucking go for it. We hope,
• 5:54
Speaker 2: we hope one day when the world opens up, that
• 5:56
Speaker 2: we can tour the show. We'd love to. We know
• 5:58
Speaker 2: that some podcasts come to cities all over the world
• 6:01
Speaker 2: and do it live. We'll do it live and Donald
• 6:04
Speaker 2: live live. Donald and I would love to do that.
• 6:06
Speaker 2: We'd love to come to your city and we'll show
• 6:08
Speaker 2: the episode first and then we'll come out and we'll
• 6:11
Speaker 2: do this exact show with Q and a's and audience participation.
• 6:15
Speaker 2: We'll bring Dan and Joel. Of course, maybe we'll have
• 6:18
Speaker 2: a tour bus Donald. We'll get to finally live that
• 6:19
Speaker 2: tour bus life we've always dreamed about.
• 6:21
Speaker 1: I would love to have a tour.
• 6:23
Speaker 2: With Joel and Dan on the bus.
• 6:25
Speaker 1: Well, they get to come inside from the bus, but no.
• 6:27
Speaker 2: I want them to. You know how your band always
• 6:29
Speaker 2: travels in the bus.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: We'd be a four person band.
• 6:32
  Speaker 2: Four person band.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: I come with a couple of groupies though I got
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: a couple.
• 6:36
Speaker 2: No, you're not rolling with your kids and your wife.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: I can't tour with my wife and kids after all
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: of this.
• 6:42
Speaker 2: No you can, but they're in a separate bus. If
• 6:44
Speaker 2: you're gonna stop, bring a family. Joel and Dan and
• 6:46
Speaker 2: I are going to be partying in the party bus like that,
• 6:48
Speaker 2: and you and your family can be in the family bus.
• 6:51
Speaker 1: I'm gonna be on the party bus.
• 6:52
Speaker 2: I want to shout out, I'm exciting. Just to remind
• 6:55
Speaker 2: me of Donald mentioned this. But we have coming up
• 6:58
Speaker 2: Krista Miller. We have Sarah Chalk coming back on the show.
• 7:02
Speaker 2: We have Scott Foley coming on the show. Yeah, we're
• 7:06
Speaker 2: hoping to get Neil Flynn. We're still working his dates
• 7:09
Speaker 2: out with him. We have a Shay Serrano who is
• 7:12
Speaker 2: an amazing writer who wrote his own self published book
• 7:16
Speaker 2: about Scrubs and he's an amazing bestseller. And he's the
• 7:21
Speaker 2: first he will be the first official Scrubs megafan to
• 7:26
Speaker 2: be on the show because.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: We have mega fans call in.
• 7:30
Speaker 2: So no, I'm saying as a guest. As a guest
• 7:32
Speaker 2: no doubt, and then we're gonna get Brendan Fraser on
• 7:37
Speaker 2: episode one twenty three, My Hero. And then we're gonna
• 7:40
Speaker 2: close out season one with Bill Lawrence and Christa Miller
• 7:43
Speaker 2: on at the same time. Hopefully they'll bicker and it
• 7:46
  Speaker 2: will be hilarious.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: I hope they argue.
• 7:49
Speaker 2: I'm not gonna argue. You know, they always go on
• 7:50
Speaker 2: Howard Sterting together and they bicker and tell dirty stories
• 7:53
Speaker 2: from their marriage, and it'll be great.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: Bill and christ have dirty stories.
• 7:57
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think there was a story where they
• 7:59
Speaker 2: had sex see in a bathroom at someone else's wedding.
• 8:03
Speaker 1: Oh my god. Bill and Christa freaks like that.
• 8:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, And I hope they're not just sharing that naughty
• 8:07
Speaker 2: stuff for Howard Stern. I hope they're gonna they better
• 8:09
Speaker 2: not come on here and be two PG. You know,
• 8:11
Speaker 2: people go on Howard and Myself Included, and you want
• 8:13
Speaker 2: to be like, oh, I'm gonna tell my most outrageous tales. Well,
• 8:16
Speaker 2: I hope they come on and talk about banging in
• 8:19
  Speaker 2: a bathroom at someone's wedding.
• 8:21
Speaker 1: I can't get over that. Oh my gosh.
• 8:23
  Speaker 2: Also, how for.
• 8:25
Speaker 1: Those who are tugging, you're welcome.
• 8:29
Speaker 2: You should be done tugging by now. Please, the show
• 8:31
Speaker 2: has started. You were supposed to be done by five
• 8:33
Speaker 2: to six s eight.
• 8:38
Speaker 1: Do you want to get into the show or do
• 8:39
Speaker 1: you want to talk to somebody?
• 8:40
Speaker 2: Just kind of I'm having so much fun talking to you,
• 8:42
Speaker 2: but we can, we can start the show. It's it's
• 8:43
Speaker 2: an odd show. I'm not gonna say it's one of
• 8:45
Speaker 2: my favorites. Okay, Okay, I know that's crazy talk, but
• 8:48
Speaker 2: it's not. It's not one of the best. Okay, There's
• 8:50
Speaker 2: a couple of cool things in it. The show begins
• 8:54
Speaker 2: with an epic wonner.
• 8:56
Speaker 1: This is the one that we talked about a couple
• 8:59
Speaker 1: of times on the podcast.
• 9:00
Speaker 2: Now, just to reiterate for those of you who are like,
• 9:02
Speaker 2: what the fuck's a wanner? I know some of you
• 9:05
Speaker 2: know the film jargon, but for those of you who don't,
• 9:07
Speaker 2: wonder is where the camera never cuts? That is to say,
• 9:09
Speaker 2: there are no edits. The whole thing is filmed and
• 9:12
Speaker 2: the camera is mounted to Charles Pappard, all balls and no.
• 9:16
Speaker 1: Shaft and no shaft.
• 9:18
Speaker 2: Charles Pappard, all balls and no shaft, and Charles Pepperd
• 9:24
Speaker 2: all balls and no shaft, slid into my dms by
• 9:26
Speaker 2: the way and said that he should come on the podcast.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: I'd love that. Oh that would be so awesome.
• 9:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we should have money as soon as
• 9:34
Speaker 2: we wanted to come on for well, we're kind of full,
• 9:36
Speaker 2: as I just told the audience, we got a full plate.
• 9:38
Speaker 2: But maybe for season two we Yeah.
• 9:39
Speaker 1: Absolutely, man, he should totally be on the show.
• 9:44
Speaker 2: It would have been smart for us to have him
• 9:46
Speaker 2: on this episode because there's this epic steady cam wanner
• 9:49
Speaker 2: that opens the whole show. But he did.
• 9:52
Speaker 1: First of all, Charles Peppert isn't a very big man,
• 9:57
Speaker 1: and he's one of in my opinion, he's a great
• 10:01
Speaker 1: steady cam operator. He's a great camera operator. But he's
• 10:04
Speaker 1: a great steady cam operator also. And I remember this
• 10:07
Speaker 1: being very taxing on his body one because I missed
• 10:10
Speaker 1: the jump shot so many times. Bill, here's an opportunity
• 10:15
Speaker 1: for you to clown me. How many times here we go?
• 10:18
Speaker 1: How many times did I miss that jump shot?
• 10:23
  Speaker 4: Look, I don't want to.
• 10:26
Speaker 5: Exaggerate it at all, but I would have to say
• 10:31
Speaker 5: that Donald missed that shot, that jump shot at the
• 10:33
Speaker 5: beginning of that long Warner take. I want to say
• 10:37
Speaker 5: he missed it at least seventy times in a row.
• 10:41
  Speaker 4: But to.
• 10:44
Speaker 5: Donald could play ball. He actually played in my basketball
• 10:46
Speaker 5: game a bunch. But I do want it now committed
• 10:48
Speaker 5: to public record. Donald's older brother Dotta is much much
• 10:52
Speaker 5: much better at basketball than Donald is, and Donald has
• 10:54
Speaker 5: to live with that. I mean, his older brother can ball.
• 10:57
Speaker 5: The guy's a rock star in the court.
• 10:58
Speaker 2: So Joelle is going to put it on our show
• 11:00
Speaker 2: notes and you can click the link to the video,
• 11:02
  Speaker 2: and I believe it's a it's a behind the scenes
• 11:04
Speaker 2: of doing this epic wonner, and you can see how
• 11:06
Speaker 2: many times Donald misses the jump shot.
• 11:09
Speaker 1: Anyway, so we do that. We finally hit it, and
• 11:12
Speaker 1: there are a couple of times where Charles h didn't
• 11:15
Speaker 1: do something right and we had to go back to
• 11:18
Speaker 1: the beginning again. But anyway, while watching this episode and
• 11:23
Speaker 1: watching this infamous wonner, Yes, as we get closer to
• 11:28
Speaker 1: the end, if you notice, our energy just keeps picking up,
• 11:32
Speaker 1: And yes, if we start getting more and more excited, Yeah,
• 11:35
Speaker 1: if you look at really the person to watch is Sarah,
• 11:39
Speaker 1: because Sarah is going nuts inside, like you can see
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: her like.
• 11:43
Speaker 2: This, Yeah, we're gonna do it.
• 11:45
Speaker 1: We're gonna do it.
• 11:46
Speaker 2: You know as you can see, you're right. As you
• 11:47
Speaker 2: can see when you watch the shot, there's so many
• 11:50
  Speaker 2: moving pieces. There's a lot of background. There's there's us,
• 11:52
Speaker 2: there's Donald hitting the jump shot. Then we get on there,
• 11:55
Speaker 2: we go to the hospital, We get on a working elevator.
• 11:57
Speaker 2: We actually got in the elevator.
• 11:59
Speaker 1: Do you recall the person that was working the elevator
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: for us?
• 12:01
Speaker 2: I wrote it down Norm.
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: Norm's right.
• 12:04
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 12:05
Speaker 2: Norm was a sort of an all around utility guy
• 12:08
Speaker 2: on the scrub set. He would work the air conditioning tubes,
• 12:11
Speaker 2: move them around, and he and he dressed up because
• 12:13
Speaker 2: we needed someone to be to actually operate the elevator.
• 12:16
Speaker 2: So we get in the elevator with Kelso. Then we
• 12:18
Speaker 2: come out, We strut down the hallway, we go into
• 12:21
Speaker 2: the ICU. The camera whippands to Johnny c still without
• 12:25
Speaker 2: having cut. It comes back to us and then we
• 12:28
Speaker 2: come around the corner and we were joined by Carla,
• 12:31
Speaker 2: and then it whips around again and we see all
• 12:33
Speaker 2: the new men students. So that took I think we
• 12:35
Speaker 2: rehearsed probably a full half day.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: Maybe, Yeah, it took a while to It took a
• 12:41
Speaker 1: while just to set the shot up. I remember that, yeah,
• 12:43
Speaker 1: and then to get I remember we were supposed to
• 12:46
Speaker 1: get the shot done before lunch, and we did. And
• 12:50
Speaker 1: then but like by the skin of our teeth, if
• 12:53
Speaker 1: I'm correct, I'm not exactly sure, but I know that
• 12:56
Speaker 1: there was so many other than me missing the jump shot.
• 12:59
Speaker 1: There were so many things that were involved that had
• 13:02
Speaker 1: to go right for it to work, and sometimes it
• 13:05
Speaker 1: didn't work. And uh, and what Donald's I agree with you.
• 13:08
Speaker 2: What you're saying is so by the time we made
• 13:10
Speaker 2: it to the second floor and we were kind of
• 13:13
Speaker 2: then the hard part was over. We like did Donald's
• 13:15
Speaker 2: jump shot, and we did the choreography at the elevator
• 13:18
Speaker 2: and then we were strutting all all three of us
• 13:20
Speaker 2: are like, oh shit, we're making it.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: We're gonna make it, and you can see it. Sarah,
• 13:26
Speaker 1: Sarah is the most excited you could tell. So when
• 13:28
Speaker 1: I go give me some hungry chicken and you guys
• 13:30
Speaker 1: are eating, watch her. She's like, she uses both hands.
• 13:34
Speaker 1: It was originally supposed to be one hand. She's using
• 13:37
Speaker 1: both hands and she's pounding my hand. And that's why
• 13:40
Speaker 1: I said to you, you're not hungry enough.
• 13:43
Speaker 2: Ah, you were getting cocky too. Made it to the
• 13:46
Speaker 2: end you started improving.
• 13:47
Speaker 1: You're like, yeah, that was improv Absolutely.
• 13:50
Speaker 2: That's cute. Well, I gotta tell you that was It
• 13:53
Speaker 2: was really cool. And I wanted to say that if
• 13:58
Speaker 2: you're looking for there's a lot of famous ononers can
• 14:00
Speaker 2: you can you can google it on online and find
• 14:03
Speaker 2: some of in some of your favorite movies. But one
• 14:04
Speaker 2: of my favorites is in Goodfellas. If you remember that
• 14:07
Speaker 2: iconic shot that goes down into the restaurant when when
• 14:10
Speaker 2: he's bringing her on it on the first date and
• 14:13
Speaker 2: through the kitchen and up into the restaurant and I
• 14:15
Speaker 2: and and they're just really fun. Filmmakers and actors love
• 14:19
Speaker 2: them because it's it's so challenging to pull it off well.
• 14:22
Speaker 2: And I think this was the biggest one we did
• 14:24
  Speaker 2: in Olive Scrubs.
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 14:27
  Speaker 6: Uh.
• 14:28
Speaker 1: One of my favorite movies is Swingers, and they talk
• 14:30
Speaker 1: about you know, slow motion shots and wonners. Uh, and
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: yeah that I think. I think Scorsese's Goodfellas wonner. It's
• 14:39
Speaker 1: probably one of the best wonders in the history. Yeah.
• 14:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's just uh, I think it introduced me
• 14:46
Speaker 2: as a young film student to how how cool they
• 14:50
Speaker 2: could be. And there's an epic one in Orson Wells's
• 14:53
Speaker 2: film Touch of Evil that opens the film as well. Uh,
• 14:56
Speaker 2: you know, there's there's dozens of them, but so this
• 14:58
  Speaker 2: was ho homage.
• 14:59
Speaker 1: The Nutty Professor has one, and not the one with
• 15:02
Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy, the one with Jerry Lewis. He's before he
• 15:06
Speaker 1: walks into the club as Buddy Love. You know, he's
• 15:09
Speaker 1: walking down the street and people are stopping and looking
• 15:11
Speaker 1: at him like, you know, and you're not expect you
• 15:14
Speaker 1: don't know what to expect when you see him. You're
• 15:15
Speaker 1: thinking that the Nutty Professor is you know, it's a
• 15:18
Speaker 1: Jequlin Hyde story and his mister Hyde is like this
• 15:22
Speaker 1: grotesque thing. And when he walks into the bar and
• 15:25
Speaker 1: finally you get to see what he looks like, the
• 15:29
Speaker 1: reaction from everybody it makes sense, but it's like, wait,
• 15:33
Speaker 1: hold up, y'all were acting like this was the scariest
• 15:36
Speaker 1: dude on the planet, and really it's just Buddy Love walking.
• 15:39
Speaker 1: Have you ever seen a nutty Professor? No, I've Oh
• 15:42
Speaker 1: my god, listen, let me tell you right now. Jerry
• 15:45
Speaker 1: Lewis in that movie. I know he said some questionable
• 15:48
Speaker 1: things on television and stuff like that, but you want
• 15:53
Speaker 1: to talk about switching it up when he plays the
• 15:57
Speaker 1: Nerd and then he plays Buddy Love.
• 16:00
Speaker 2: I gotta watch it.
• 16:01
Speaker 1: He says, some of the monologues in that movie are amazing, Like,
• 16:04
Speaker 1: he says, some of the most amazing, Like he is
• 16:08
Speaker 1: a true pimp in all sense of the word.
• 16:11
Speaker 2: In all respect, all respect, all.
• 16:13
  Speaker 1: Respect to.
• 16:16
  Speaker 4: Hetty Love.
• 16:17
Speaker 2: What's his name, Buddy Love?
• 16:18
  Speaker 1: Buddy Love?
• 16:19
Speaker 2: Do you have to mention by the Yeah, I'm gonna
• 16:21
Speaker 2: check it out, not to mention the fame. Now, there's
• 16:22
Speaker 2: been some famous Wonner movies, including Birdman and what was
• 16:27
Speaker 2: the one that just came out that everybody loved so much?
• 16:29
  Speaker 2: Nineteen seventeen.
• 16:31
Speaker 1: But that's CG two though, isn't it that? No?
• 16:33
Speaker 2: They they well they didn't do a Wonner movie. They
• 16:36
Speaker 2: hit a bunch of cuts, but it's but they're still
• 16:40
Speaker 2: doing like eight minute scenes with five hundred extras and
• 16:43
Speaker 2: incredible stuff, things exploding. If you are, if you were
• 16:46
Speaker 2: a film geek like I am, go go watch behind
• 16:50
Speaker 2: the scenes of nineteen seventeen and you'll see just some
• 16:53
Speaker 2: extraordinary filmmaking. Anyway, so we just.
• 16:56
Speaker 1: Wrote that down, dude, nineteen seventeen, need to watch.
• 16:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, go watch behind. You've never seen the film.
• 17:01
Speaker 1: I have yet to see the film.
• 17:02
Speaker 2: Oh, the film's beautiful, but more but I was told
• 17:04
Speaker 2: I needed to watch it.
• 17:05
Speaker 1: I was told I needed to see it in a
• 17:06
Speaker 1: theater because of the scope.
• 17:08
  Speaker 2: Yeah, but now you can't. But I I saw a
• 17:10
Speaker 2: screener because we got it for Award season, and I love.
• 17:13
Speaker 2: I thought it was so beautiful. I went to the theater.
• 17:15
Speaker 2: I said, I got to see this, and I went
• 17:16
Speaker 2: and saw it at the dome. You know here in
• 17:18
Speaker 2: Hollywood we have a big dome theater.
• 17:20
Speaker 4: And it was just.
• 17:21
Speaker 2: Gorgeous and and and amazing acting by everybody involved, and
• 17:27
Speaker 2: it's beautiful, great time too. I heard, yes, yes, sir.
• 17:31
Speaker 2: At one thirty two, we start strutting. I mean we
• 17:34
Speaker 2: are strutting. Yeah, that's like a George Jefferson strut.
• 17:38
Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, it's like the straight up well we're
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: moving on.
• 17:42
  Speaker 4: No.
• 17:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, we were very SIUs. Look I'm trying to tell
• 17:46
Speaker 1: you man, we were so excited with We were excited,
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: so excited.
• 17:50
Speaker 2: And then scrubs wiki. I was pointed out that at
• 17:53
Speaker 2: one fifty two, you can see my mic cable now
• 17:57
Speaker 2: now now, nowadays, we would just you know, visual effects
• 18:01
Speaker 2: are so much easier. You would just paint something like
• 18:03
Speaker 2: that out. They just go in like like you know,
• 18:06
Speaker 2: like Photoshop but moving video, and just paint a little
• 18:08
Speaker 2: mic cable out. But back in the day, we certainly
• 18:12
Speaker 2: weren't going to scrap finally making it through because he
• 18:14
Speaker 2: saw a little mic cable. But you see, I gently
• 18:17
Speaker 2: lift up my shirt a little bit and you can
• 18:19
Speaker 2: see where the hidden mic cable is on me. So
• 18:22
Speaker 2: there you go, the little Scrubs Wiki guy coming through.
• 18:25
Speaker 2: Is this the first appearance of the Hungry Chicken at
• 18:27
  Speaker 2: two fifteen?
• 18:28
Speaker 1: I think this is the only appearance of the Hungry Chicken?
• 18:31
  Speaker 2: No?
• 18:32
Speaker 1: No, yeah, when did we do it again?
• 18:34
Speaker 2: I feel like Hungry Chickens has been another episodes. Hey, Joelle,
• 18:39
Speaker 2: have we set it up with our Scrubs Wiki guy
• 18:41
Speaker 2: to answer questions and we ask him if he might
• 18:43
Speaker 2: be down for that.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: Yes, he's very down to do anything for the show.
• 18:47
Speaker 1: We're planning to have him on as our fan caller,
• 18:50
Speaker 1: not this week but next week and then yeah, we
• 18:52
Speaker 1: can ask him questions.
• 18:53
Speaker 2: Well, let's audition him. Now, let's audition what's his name?
• 18:56
Speaker 2: By the way, Joel, I just call him Scrubs Wiki.
• 18:58
  Speaker 2: What's his name?
• 18:59
Speaker 1: I would have to look. Okay, we're gonna so as
• 19:01
Speaker 1: of right now he scrubs Wiki.
• 19:03
Speaker 2: Okay, scrubs Wiki. Thank you for all your hard work.
• 19:06
Speaker 2: Is this the only time that the Hungry Chicken ever
• 19:09
Speaker 2: appears in nine seasons of Scrubs? And if not, when
• 19:13
Speaker 2: does it appear in other episodes?
• 19:16
  Speaker 1: Yo?
• 19:17
Speaker 2: Trevor from Scrubs Wiki here. According to our records, the
• 19:20
Speaker 2: episode My Student is the only appearance of Hungry Chicken.
• 19:23
Speaker 2: Donald at three fourteen, you say something like, what is
• 19:27
Speaker 2: this thing we're doing? Baby girl?
• 19:29
  Speaker 1: So doude?
• 19:30
Speaker 2: Okay, so I know we had a lot of songs,
• 19:32
Speaker 2: but but this has no I do but I don't
• 19:36
Speaker 2: by vaguely, but before you go into the song, what
• 19:39
Speaker 2: there's no context for it in the episode at all?
• 19:41
Speaker 1: No, there isn't. But this was you and I arguing
• 19:46
Speaker 1: about R and B music, right, and you were like, dude,
• 19:50
Speaker 1: all it is is dudes and girl dude saying baby girl,
• 19:56
Speaker 1: sugar dolling baby baby girl, my loving girl meaning girl. Right.
• 20:04
Speaker 1: And so when you said that, I remember laughing so
• 20:07
Speaker 1: hard because they're pretty much every song that's R and B.
• 20:12
Speaker 1: Keep it one hundred y'all. Baby.
• 20:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, they're gonna hear girl. You're gonna hear the word baby.
• 20:18
  Speaker 1: Definitely, you're definitely hearing baby. You're mostly if it's a
• 20:22
Speaker 1: male artist, you're most likely hearing girl.
• 20:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely. Well, Donald the time, you were listening to
• 20:28
Speaker 2: a lot of those kind of songs, and.
• 20:29
Speaker 1: I still do. I still do Trey songs. I still
• 20:33
Speaker 1: listen to all of that stuff. I love him to death.
• 20:35
  Speaker 4: Listen.
• 20:36
Speaker 2: We had some great guest casts. We had DJ Qualls
• 20:39
Speaker 2: remember him from uh well, the most famously road Trip.
• 20:42
Speaker 1: Yes, he was from road Trip.
• 20:44
Speaker 2: Yes, that was at the time. That was the most
• 20:46
Speaker 2: famous thing he had done.
• 20:48
Speaker 1: One of my best friends on the planet, Breck and
• 20:50
Speaker 1: Meier and that movie as well.
• 20:51
Speaker 2: I remember DJ Qualls told me a story when we
• 20:53
Speaker 2: were shooting this episode that he had made a bunch
• 20:56
Speaker 2: of money and he was working a lot and he
• 20:59
Speaker 2: walked and he doesn't do credit cards at all, wanted
• 21:02
Speaker 2: to just pay cash, didn't didn't mess with credit cards.
• 21:05
Speaker 2: And he walked into a BMW dealership to buy a
• 21:08
Speaker 2: fancy car. And he couldn't you know, a lanky, young
• 21:12
Speaker 2: kid like him, he couldn't get anyone's attention they just
• 21:14
Speaker 2: totally ignored him, and he was really it was like
• 21:17
Speaker 2: totally the pretty woman moment where he was like, you
• 21:20
Speaker 2: know what the commission Yeah, and he walked across the
• 21:24
Speaker 2: street to the Mercedes dealership where someone finally gave him
• 21:27
Speaker 2: attention and he bought a Mercedes with cash.
• 21:30
  Speaker 4: Wow.
• 21:32
Speaker 1: Wow, he had it like that. He got it like that.
• 21:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, he had the money like that, and he was
• 21:36
Speaker 2: like and he just remembered. He was telling me the
• 21:39
Speaker 2: story of his pretty woman moment where like the sale,
• 21:41
Speaker 2: no salesman was even talking to him, and he was like,
• 21:43
Speaker 2: fuck these people, and he walked across the street and
• 21:45
Speaker 2: bought him brought up from the competitive dealership with cash.
• 21:49
Speaker 2: Adriane Winner played Uh, Sarah's med student. He's the Northwestern
• 21:54
Speaker 2: grad so we know that he's a good actor, and
• 21:56
Speaker 2: I thought he did a great job.
• 21:57
Speaker 1: He did such a great job. I remember I looked
• 21:59
Speaker 1: at this. I didn't remember. You know, it's me so
• 22:03
Speaker 1: I didn't remember the episode, but I thought our guest
• 22:05
Speaker 1: stars were so good in this episode.
• 22:07
Speaker 2: In particular, I have to say Kelly Williams, who played
• 22:10
Speaker 2: Johnny Cees love interest and was part of your story.
• 22:13
Speaker 1: Absolutely, she was great. Uh what show was she on
• 22:18
Speaker 1: at the time, Joelle, do you know I.
• 22:21
Speaker 2: Was looking up she's been on all sorts of stuff
• 22:23
Speaker 2: since because I was kind of curious what she's been
• 22:25
Speaker 2: up to, and I was imdbing here. But she's been
• 22:27
  Speaker 2: working NonStop.
• 22:28
Speaker 1: Well, yeah she was, but she was on a show
• 22:30
Speaker 1: I think at the time, and it was.
• 22:32
Speaker 2: I don't know, you might be confusing her with a
• 22:35
Speaker 2: different guest star, but in any event, she was very
• 22:38
Speaker 2: good and she and Johnny were good together.
• 22:41
Speaker 1: Can we talk about Turk as a wingman? Yeah, Turk
• 22:44
Speaker 1: is the best wing man ever. Yeah.
• 22:49
Speaker 2: You really didn't want to do it until he was like,
• 22:51
Speaker 2: you idiot, I'm obsessed with your girlfriend. Helped set me
• 22:55
Speaker 2: up with someone else?
• 22:56
Speaker 1: Right, well, right, that was the thing he I think
• 22:59
Speaker 1: Turk enjoyed the fact that, uh, doctor Cox, that Perry
• 23:04
Speaker 1: Cox was in love with Carla and couldn't have Carla,
• 23:08
Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I think he loved the
• 23:10
Speaker 1: fact that I have something on you that you will
• 23:14
Speaker 1: never get. And then when he threatens him and says,
• 23:16
Speaker 1: you know, I'll be sitting here waiting, Turk knows I'm
• 23:19
Speaker 1: gonna fuck up eventually. And when I fuck up, this
• 23:21
  Speaker 1: dude's gonna pounce.
• 23:22
Speaker 2: So you don't want this guy in the wings, right,
• 23:24
Speaker 2: you know when you're dating you know when you're dating
• 23:26
Speaker 2: someone and uh, and this is more back in the day.
• 23:29
Speaker 1: It's not really like, oh, dude, I got I got
• 23:32
Speaker 1: a great story for that dude.
• 23:34
Speaker 2: No, but the dude had the friend who's in the wings,
• 23:36
Speaker 2: like always just sitting there, just waiting for you to
• 23:39
  Speaker 2: fuck up.
• 23:39
Speaker 1: My dude, my friend, my friend, my friend. I dated
• 23:43
Speaker 1: someone and when we broke up, I remember her calling
• 23:47
Speaker 1: me like, dude, you'd be surprised at all of these
• 23:50
Speaker 1: guys that you know were so tight with us as
• 23:56
Speaker 1: a group, like you'd hang out with them. She's like,
• 24:00
Speaker 1: you'd be surprised of who's hitting me up. I'd be like,
• 24:02
  Speaker 1: I don't want to know, man, it's it's you know,
• 24:04
Speaker 1: we're no longer to gather, do you but holy shit?
• 24:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, but you still got mad about it. That's so sketchy.
• 24:10
Speaker 2: The dudes in the wings like, oh, y'all, bro come.
• 24:13
Speaker 1: It's like a better off dead. I heard you broke
• 24:15
Speaker 1: up with Beth If I give her a call.
• 24:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a great movie too.
• 24:22
Speaker 1: That shit is great. When Barney he's watching The Flintstones,
• 24:25
Speaker 1: and Barney's like, hey, Lloyd, I hope you I heard
• 24:28
Speaker 1: you broke up with Beth. Can I ask her out?
• 24:32
Speaker 2: That movie's amazing Better Off Dead? Check it out?
• 24:35
Speaker 1: Better Off Dead, John Cusack?
• 24:37
Speaker 2: What about at five eleven when when when Kelly's character
• 24:41
Speaker 2: says to Todd that he is a lap pinky. I've
• 24:43
Speaker 2: never heard the term lap pinky before.
• 24:46
Speaker 1: What is a lap pinky?
• 24:47
  Speaker 2: A tiny penis?
• 24:49
  Speaker 1: Oh?
• 24:49
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 24:49
Speaker 1: When she calls from that right with all the cheese,
• 24:52
Speaker 1: she uses the word machiesmo. You said you hadn't heard
• 24:54
Speaker 1: that word before. She uses it in the show.
• 24:56
Speaker 2: I've heard my cheesemo.
• 24:58
Speaker 1: I said it in something and you were like like
• 25:00
Speaker 1: what Wow? Donald, with the much.
• 25:02
Speaker 2: Is Kelly was on the practice, you were right about that,
• 25:04
Speaker 2: thank you. Joe told you. Yeah, she's a very good actress,
• 25:08
Speaker 2: and I thought she did a great job. Lap pinky.
• 25:10
Speaker 2: I think we got to put that into our lexicon
• 25:12
Speaker 2: on it because that's a nice term for having a
• 25:14
  Speaker 2: small penis.
• 25:15
  Speaker 1: A lap pinky?
• 25:17
  Speaker 4: Yeah, I just don't.
• 25:19
  Speaker 1: I don't. I don't get it.
• 25:20
Speaker 2: But it's a pinky in your lap. Now you get it.
• 25:27
Speaker 1: I totally get it now.
• 25:28
Speaker 2: Oh it took you a second.
• 25:29
Speaker 1: It took me a second. I was off a little bit.
• 25:31
Speaker 1: Maybe it's the Scotch anyway, lap pinky.
• 25:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, don't come around here with that lap pinky. I
• 25:39
Speaker 2: don't we know, we know, we know you have a
• 25:42
Speaker 2: lap baby forearm on that note. We're gonna go to break.
• 25:47
Speaker 1: We'll be right back. All we do is talk about
• 25:56
Speaker 1: wieners on this show.
• 25:57
  Speaker 2: I know, I know. I'm getting a lot of notes
• 25:59
Speaker 2: from my girlfriend's mom about our willies. Oh man, she
• 26:04
Speaker 2: calls it the Eel cast the eel.
• 26:11
Speaker 1: All right, dude, you turned into the fucking hawk, yo.
• 26:14
Speaker 1: You turned into the Hulk.
• 26:16
Speaker 2: You know. I was so happy that Joel wrote in
• 26:17
Speaker 2: her notes, was that really you, Zach? When you turn
• 26:21
Speaker 2: to the Hulk, Joel, that is a giant stunt man
• 26:24
Speaker 2: with a lot, with much bigger muscles than I could
• 26:27
  Speaker 2: ever grow.
• 26:28
Speaker 1: I just love the fact that this is before like
• 26:29
Speaker 1: all of the like Marbter movies have come out and everything,
• 26:33
Speaker 1: like all the Marble stuff, and you turned into the
• 26:37
Speaker 1: Hulk like back in the old Yeah, like the cheesy,
• 26:42
  Speaker 1: incredible cheesy.
• 26:43
Speaker 2: That show is amazing. You didn't watch that show when
• 26:46
Speaker 2: you were a kid.
• 26:47
Speaker 1: Everybody watched the Hawk. But come on, buddy, like when
• 26:50
Speaker 1: you look at the Hawk now compared to the.
• 26:52
Speaker 2: But you're not putting it in the context, dude, when
• 26:55
Speaker 2: we were kids, it seem hunk.
• 26:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, all of those shows.
• 27:00
Speaker 2: Man, No, six million dollar Man, remember that.
• 27:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, but when you look at at least the motherfucker
• 27:06
Speaker 1: jumped over shit in the six million dollar Man and could.
• 27:08
Speaker 2: Remember that noise? Dan, can you put in that that
• 27:11
Speaker 2: noise of when the six would jump. I love that show.
• 27:17
Speaker 1: I did too, The six million dollar Man. We can
• 27:20
Speaker 1: rebuild them, we can fix them.
• 27:21
Speaker 2: We can, by the way, now nowadays it would be
• 27:23
Speaker 2: like the one billion dollar Man. We have the technology,
• 27:25
Speaker 2: we can't happen. Right, Oh man, you only cost six
• 27:29
Speaker 2: million dollars to fucking become become a robot man.
• 27:32
Speaker 1: To become a freaking cyborg.
• 27:34
Speaker 2: How come no one's remade that we should remake the
• 27:36
Speaker 2: six million dollars the six million dollar Man. But as
• 27:40
Speaker 2: as that would be hilarious, let's do it.
• 27:44
Speaker 1: The bionic Man and the bionic Woman. Oh my gosh.
• 27:47
Speaker 2: Now we both get special powers.
• 27:49
Speaker 1: No, no, no one of us get special powers. The
• 27:52
Speaker 1: other one is the freaking dude on the computer.
• 27:54
Speaker 2: Oh but I know which one of us is gonna
• 27:56
Speaker 2: want to be the dude in the computer. I guess
• 27:58
Speaker 2: I'm sure you will mind because you go home to
• 27:59
Speaker 2: your kids out, you'll work like an hour a day,
• 28:01
Speaker 2: like hour, got to do your care to be on
• 28:05
Speaker 2: the set at the computer, being like I'm enhancing the picture,
• 28:08
Speaker 2: I'm moving in. Yeah, he's got a bomb in his
• 28:10
Speaker 2: left pocket. And then you just go.
• 28:11
Speaker 1: Home one day, work day of work, and then I'm.
• 28:13
Speaker 2: Out there fucking sixteen hours a day doing fucking leaps
• 28:16
Speaker 2: over buildings. I love it.
• 28:18
Speaker 1: I think this is a great idea. I think this
• 28:20
Speaker 1: is a show we should make.
• 28:21
Speaker 2: All right, Well, if you're a producer out there in
• 28:23
Speaker 2: Hollywood and you want to make a six million dollars
• 28:26
Speaker 2: NCV show, It's Dollard night.
• 28:27
  Speaker 4: We're ready.
• 28:28
Speaker 1: No, not a TV show, a movie, the movie.
• 28:30
  Speaker 4: No.
• 28:30
Speaker 2: I think it should be streaming on Netflix.
• 28:32
  Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
• 28:33
Speaker 2: And it should just be like super silly, like like
• 28:36
Speaker 2: my the powers they gave me only work sometimes.
• 28:40
Speaker 1: Do you remember the greatest American hero?
• 28:42
Speaker 2: My powers are faulty?
• 28:43
  Speaker 4: Yeah?
• 28:43
Speaker 2: I heard they were remaking that.
• 28:44
Speaker 1: Of course I don't know what happened with it, but
• 28:46
  Speaker 1: I heard they.
• 28:46
Speaker 2: Were greatest theme song ever, believe it or not.
• 28:49
Speaker 1: Not walking on there. I never thought I could feel
• 28:52
Speaker 1: so free, flying away on a wind and a prayer.
• 28:58
  Speaker 2: Who could be.
• 29:02
Speaker 1: Believe it or not, it's just.
• 29:05
  Speaker 4: Dud.
• 29:09
Speaker 2: Now you're trying to say you don't. You're trying to
• 29:11
Speaker 2: say that show doesn't hold up anymore. That was magic.
• 29:13
Speaker 1: It really does not hold up anymore. If you watch
• 29:15
Speaker 1: that show, you'll be like, oh my gosh.
• 29:17
Speaker 2: What about eighteen. I mean, no one ever got shot.
• 29:21
Speaker 2: They're all firing ak forty sevens at each other and
• 29:24
Speaker 2: no one ever gets hurt.
• 29:25
Speaker 1: That's one thing we could say about our show. At
• 29:26
Speaker 1: least people died on our show.
• 29:30
Speaker 2: When they would do the and then they do the
• 29:40
Speaker 2: sequence where they built shit, and I would be like, oh,
• 29:42
Speaker 2: what are they building?
• 29:45
Speaker 1: Dun dun dun du.
• 29:49
  Speaker 2: Dun d d be a baraka be a barakas. It
• 29:57
Speaker 2: was barakas. Remember he couldn't fly, they'd have to doe.
• 30:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, Hannibal ain't getting on the plane.
• 30:04
Speaker 2: You know what's so funny about that? It's so fucked up.
• 30:06
Speaker 2: They would like they would drug his ass so that.
• 30:08
  Speaker 4: He would fly.
• 30:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, and he fell for it every time.
• 30:11
Speaker 2: Every time they'd be like, here sip this, mister t.
• 30:15
Speaker 1: What is in this strange concoxing?
• 30:17
Speaker 2: What did you put in my banana?
• 30:19
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 30:20
Speaker 1: I'm gonna eat a banana right now. I hate you, Hannibal.
• 30:25
Speaker 2: Damn you, Hannibal. You put that secret flying juice on
• 30:29
  Speaker 2: my banana.
• 30:36
Speaker 1: But you turned into the incredible Hulk.
• 30:38
Speaker 2: Oh man, I'm sad to you know, Marvel, you're all
• 30:41
Speaker 2: those Marvel movies you love. They fucked up our childhood classics.
• 30:44
Speaker 2: Like now everyone looks at the Hulk TV show and
• 30:46
Speaker 2: they said that sucks. I thought it was a masterpiece.
• 30:49
Speaker 1: Okay, you should go back and watch it. I know
• 30:51
Speaker 1: I probably should try Aloma Olama very So you turn
• 30:55
Speaker 1: into the Hawk and then Aloma you're like, you say
• 30:57
Speaker 1: to her, you say to her something like he was horrible.
• 31:00
Speaker 1: I I you know, I'm sorry, and she goes, you
• 31:02
Speaker 1: don't got to apologize to me, but you will have
• 31:06
Speaker 1: to apologize to Jesus.
• 31:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, hilarious. Whenever Aloma did her her church going woman
• 31:13
Speaker 2: preachy stuff, she was so funny.
• 31:15
Speaker 1: Always, always, She's one of those.
• 31:18
Speaker 2: People that just could sell the shit out of any
• 31:20
Speaker 2: line that was hilarious.
• 31:21
Speaker 1: You will watch to apologize to Jesus if you watch
• 31:24
Speaker 1: this episode, every one of her lines is a punchline,
• 31:27
Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
• 31:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's always they're always dried by, she's always
• 31:30
  Speaker 2: walking by.
• 31:31
Speaker 1: Every one of them. Yeah, she crushes it every time.
• 31:35
Speaker 1: And what about we need to get her on the show.
• 31:38
Speaker 2: Oh we should, Well, we'll bit full up with guests.
• 31:40
Speaker 2: But season two, Aloma, right here we go. Joelle put
• 31:43
Speaker 2: it in the notes, please you pull out your booty
• 31:47
Speaker 2: at twelve forty eight.
• 31:49
  Speaker 4: I do.
• 31:50
Speaker 1: And it's to show what what is it to show?
• 31:53
Speaker 1: It's to show you what they love, you know what
• 31:56
  Speaker 1: I mean.
• 31:56
Speaker 2: So what you're saying and with Turk and you are
• 31:59
Speaker 2: both saying, is when all else fails, you just do
• 32:03
Speaker 2: the slow sag down and the woman see your juicy
• 32:06
Speaker 2: shelf butt. Yeah, and they're sold. They're sold.
• 32:11
Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something right now. Yeah, women aren't
• 32:14
Speaker 1: the only ones that can have a nice booty.
• 32:17
Speaker 2: Okay, right, yeah, go ahead.
• 32:19
Speaker 1: That's for real, for real.
• 32:21
Speaker 2: So are you feeling yourself when it comes to you?
• 32:23
Speaker 2: Like when you're in the mirror and you check yourself out,
• 32:25
Speaker 2: You're like, look at my ass.
• 32:27
  Speaker 1: No, it's a different ass. Now, it's got a lot
• 32:28
Speaker 1: of it's got a lot of wrinkles and sell.
• 32:30
Speaker 2: You like, oh, now, maybe you should do some squats.
• 32:34
Speaker 1: Squat a lot. It doesn't look like it did when
• 32:36
Speaker 1: I was twenty six when we made this show list.
• 32:39
Speaker 2: We could do lunges. You could do lunges.
• 32:41
Speaker 1: I do all of that, Zach.
• 32:42
Speaker 2: Though, there's no reason why a forty six year old
• 32:44
Speaker 2: man can't have a tight ass.
• 32:46
Speaker 1: I'm gonna explain something to you right now.
• 32:48
Speaker 2: Don't blame it on your age. Joel's falling off her chair,
• 32:51
Speaker 2: that is. That is not an excuse for you. Man.
• 32:54
Speaker 2: You can do lunges.
• 32:55
Speaker 1: I'm gonna explain something to you right now. With age
• 32:58
Speaker 1: comes sag, and you can work out as much.
• 33:01
Speaker 2: As you look at Johnny C the other day on Zoom.
• 33:04
Speaker 1: You don't think Johnny C got a little bit of
• 33:06
  Speaker 1: sag in him?
• 33:06
Speaker 2: No, I bet you he's tight as fucking hell. Mutton,
• 33:10
Speaker 2: it looks like Mutton bounce a quarter off his abs. Yeah, Mutton.
• 33:15
Speaker 1: I think that was a firm like Mutton.
• 33:16
Speaker 4: That was that was That was me.
• 33:19
Speaker 2: I don't even know if Mutton's ferm It just sounded funny.
• 33:21
Speaker 1: I think Mutton is like supposed to be like very tender.
• 33:24
Speaker 2: What is mutton? It's lamb.
• 33:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's lamb. I think it's supposed to be very
• 33:28
Speaker 1: very tender when it's tender, but to go it's firm
• 33:32
  Speaker 1: like mutton.
• 33:33
Speaker 2: It just sounded funny. I think I stoled it from
• 33:37
Speaker 2: Princess Briding. Is when the mutton is lean, you remember.
• 33:40
Speaker 1: That Crystal Crystal something except for like a mutton lettuce
• 33:46
  Speaker 1: and tomato sandwich.
• 33:47
Speaker 2: When the mutton is lean.
• 33:50
Speaker 1: Do you remember meeting Billy Crystal?
• 33:53
  Speaker 6: Uh?
• 33:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, where and were on a plane and we were traveling.
• 33:58
Speaker 1: It was me, you can. I don't know where we
• 34:02
Speaker 1: were going, but we were on a plane and we
• 34:03
Speaker 1: sat with Billy Crystal the whole trip. And then we
• 34:06
Speaker 1: saw him at the hotel too.
• 34:08
Speaker 4: Did we bother him?
• 34:09
Speaker 2: I think it was. It was Hawaii, know, it had to.
• 34:11
Speaker 1: Be Hawaii, and we were all. He was just as
• 34:14
Speaker 1: much into us as we were into him. He was
• 34:16
Speaker 1: very much into you and you were very much into him.
• 34:19
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 34:19
Speaker 2: He was very complimentary of me, and that made me
• 34:22
Speaker 2: feel good because I love him and I grew up
• 34:24
Speaker 2: on him like we all did. And uh yeah, Mutton
• 34:28
  Speaker 2: from Princess.
• 34:29
Speaker 1: Brian Mutton from Princess Bride.
• 34:30
Speaker 2: When the mutton is have fun, how fun? Storm the castle?
• 34:34
  Speaker 1: The castle?
• 34:34
Speaker 2: You think it'll work?
• 34:35
Speaker 7: It would take a miracle, right, he said, too Blade,
• 34:42
Speaker 7: which we all know is true love liar.
• 34:47
  Speaker 1: Great movie.
• 34:47
Speaker 2: Speaking of crushes, Robin Wright in that movie was just
• 34:53
Speaker 2: about the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
• 34:55
Speaker 1: Yes, I love that movie. That's one of my favorite.
• 34:58
Speaker 1: I used to watch that movie all the time. I
• 35:00
Speaker 1: remember introducing it to my friends in the neighborhood who
• 35:04
Speaker 1: didn't see the movie and being like, you guys, haven't
• 35:06
Speaker 1: seen The Princess Bride. I remember having a movie night
• 35:09
Speaker 1: at my house just so my friends who had never
• 35:12
Speaker 1: been introduced to The Princess Bride could watch The Princess
• 35:15
Speaker 1: Bride and we watched it on VHS, obviously in my room,
• 35:20
Speaker 1: and I remember getting just such joy out of watching
• 35:24
Speaker 1: my friends laugh so hard at something that was like
• 35:28
Speaker 1: it was, It wasn't something that they would have gone
• 35:29
Speaker 1: to see normally, you know, right.
• 35:31
Speaker 2: Did you think you did that more often because you
• 35:33
Speaker 2: were dialed into all the theater world where you were
• 35:36
Speaker 2: there other times where you were introducing your friend group
• 35:38
Speaker 2: to movies they might not have seen.
• 35:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, that happened a lot. Actually, you know some of
• 35:43
Speaker 1: the movie. You know, I grew up with a bunch
• 35:45
Speaker 1: of people who loved movies, though too so some of
• 35:47
Speaker 1: the movies that I was introduced to, you know, at
• 35:51
Speaker 1: a young age, like a lot of the horror movies
• 35:54
Speaker 1: and stuff like. I had a lot of friends who
• 35:56
Speaker 1: loved horror movies growing up, and I have an appreciation
• 35:58
Speaker 1: for them. I don't watch them, but things like A
• 36:01
Speaker 1: Nightmare on elm Street I would have never seen if
• 36:03
Speaker 1: it wasn't for Jessica Mercado, you know what I mean. Like,
• 36:06
Speaker 1: and you know Jessica, you've met her a couple of times.
• 36:09
Speaker 1: If it wasn't for her, a lot of the horror
• 36:11
  Speaker 1: movies that I that I watch now when I don't
• 36:14
Speaker 1: watch them, but that I watched as a youth, I
• 36:17
Speaker 1: would have never seen them, and I would have never
• 36:18
Speaker 1: known about that genre like the way I know it now.
• 36:23
Speaker 2: And I was thinking just randomly, my father. Back when
• 36:27
Speaker 2: before I was introduced to the world of independent cinema,
• 36:30
Speaker 2: I didn't know that there were movies that didn't come
• 36:33
Speaker 2: to every theater. And a movie came out called The
• 36:36
Speaker 2: Gods Must Be Crazy, Remember the Masterpiece and this did
• 36:41
Speaker 2: not come to you know, South Orange, New Jersey, and
• 36:44
Speaker 2: my father said, we're gonna go into New York to
• 36:46
Speaker 2: see a movie. And I was like, why are we
• 36:48
Speaker 2: going to New York to see a movie? And he said, well,
• 36:50
Speaker 2: not all movies come to our town, and there's a
• 36:51
Speaker 2: movie that everyone's talking about we're gonna go see. So
• 36:53
Speaker 2: he took me a little independent cinema in Manhattan and
• 36:56
Speaker 2: we saw that movie, which I believe was a South
• 36:59
  Speaker 2: African movie.
• 37:00
Speaker 1: Where the coke bottle fall falls from the sky.
• 37:03
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 37:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, And it was one of the funniest, most brilliant
• 37:06
Speaker 2: movies I'd ever seen, and it was it'steroally good memory
• 37:11
Speaker 2: of my father introducing me to an early version of
• 37:15
  Speaker 2: independent cinema.
• 37:16
Speaker 1: Did you ever see a Brother from Another Planet? The
• 37:18
Speaker 1: Brother from Another Planet? Oh No, if you ever get
• 37:21
Speaker 1: a chance, go see that one.
• 37:22
  Speaker 2: That's what we're giving. We're giving our listeners quite a
• 37:25
Speaker 2: good list of movies this this this podcast.
• 37:28
Speaker 1: There's some good ones out there, guys. Listen. If you
• 37:30
Speaker 1: get a chance, go see a Brother from Another Planet.
• 37:32
Speaker 1: It stars Joe Morton, Okay, and he literally is a
• 37:36
Speaker 1: Brother from another planet, The Brother from another Planet.
• 37:39
  Speaker 4: And what.
• 37:40
Speaker 1: I remember one scene when I was a kid, so
• 37:42
Speaker 1: before Harlem was gentrified, which is very much now. You know,
• 37:46
Speaker 1: all the white people used to get off at ninety
• 37:48
Speaker 1: sixth Street if you were on the train, right, no
• 37:51
Speaker 1: matter what line you were on, if there was a
• 37:52
Speaker 1: ninety sixth Street stop, all the white people would get
• 37:55
Speaker 1: off because after that you were in Harlem.
• 37:57
  Speaker 4: Right.
• 37:57
Speaker 1: So there's this dude it off right, There's this dude
• 38:00
Speaker 1: on the train doing like tricks or something like that,
• 38:03
Speaker 1: doing magic, and the brother from another planet. He doesn't
• 38:06
Speaker 1: speak that much, you know, he doesn't speak English or
• 38:08
Speaker 1: anything like that. You know, when people ask him where
• 38:10
Speaker 1: he came from, he just points to the sky. And
• 38:13
Speaker 1: so the dude's trying to do all these tricks and
• 38:15
Speaker 1: the brother's just not feeling it. And then finally he goes.
• 38:19
Speaker 1: You know, you hear the conductor say next stop, ninety
• 38:21
Speaker 1: sixth street, and the white guy says to the brother,
• 38:24
Speaker 1: he goes, you want to see me make all the
• 38:26
Speaker 1: white people disappear, and everyone gets off at nineties. All
• 38:31
Speaker 1: the white people get off at ninety sixth Street. And
• 38:33
  Speaker 1: I remember as a kid, I used to I remember
• 38:36
Speaker 1: getting on the train and getting I was very young
• 38:39
Speaker 1: when the movie came out, and at ninety sixth Street.
• 38:42
Speaker 1: If you were going downtown, all the white people got
• 38:44
Speaker 1: on at ninety sixth Street. If you were going uptown,
• 38:47
Speaker 1: all the white people got off at ninety sixth Street.
• 38:50
Speaker 1: I remember this very much as a youth man. Wow,
• 38:53
Speaker 1: so crazy, Johnny joke.
• 38:56
Speaker 4: I gotta see that.
• 38:57
Speaker 2: You've just sold it to me. Donald, I'm watching it
• 38:59
Speaker 2: if you get it.
• 39:00
Speaker 1: Joe Morton brother from another planet.
• 39:02
Speaker 2: I was laughing at thirteen fifty and then in the
• 39:04
Speaker 2: fantasy where I'm teaching DJ Qualls to ride a bike,
• 39:07
Speaker 2: because I was laughing, going, I'm spoofing me at the
• 39:12
Speaker 2: age I am now right right, that character I'm playing
• 39:16
Speaker 2: is probably like a forty five year old dad, like
• 39:18
  Speaker 2: you got.
• 39:18
Speaker 1: This right, pushing his kid along. It's also it also
• 39:23
Speaker 1: goes back to now you're doctor Cox, and it goes
• 39:28
Speaker 1: to the grainy shot of you teaching the kid how
• 39:30
Speaker 1: to ride a bike, where he's teaching you how to
• 39:32
Speaker 1: throw a baseball. Yeah, then we do that one, you
• 39:34
Speaker 1: know what I mean early on, so it's full circle
• 39:38
  Speaker 1: we do.
• 39:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I'm trying to be Cox. I summon
• 39:41
Speaker 2: my inner doctor Cox in this episode so much so
• 39:43
Speaker 2: that we mirror the pilot where I where he fought.
• 39:46
Speaker 2: DJ's character finally has a moment of success and I go,
• 39:50
Speaker 2: I cheer him on, and then he leaves. And then
• 39:52
Speaker 2: and then Judy says, go ahead, and I put my
• 39:54
Speaker 2: arms up in celebration, just like the pilot.
• 39:57
Speaker 1: Right, and then You're like, can you fix that for
• 39:58
Speaker 1: me while I'm gone.
• 39:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's funny. I gave him a pep talk and
• 40:01
Speaker 2: then he still fucked it up.
• 40:05
Speaker 1: He never comes back. That's what's crazy. He never came
• 40:07
Speaker 1: back after this episode.
• 40:08
Speaker 2: We none of them do other than other than the
• 40:11
Speaker 2: love interest then Kelly the love interest. None of these
• 40:15
Speaker 2: characters came back. Yeah, I think DJ calls it them.
• 40:18
Speaker 2: At the time, you know, his career was on fire
• 40:20
Speaker 2: and he was just kind of coming by to do
• 40:23
Speaker 2: a quick guest star role.
• 40:24
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 40:26
Speaker 2: Then you convinced Johnny C to show his ass, right, and.
• 40:32
Speaker 1: John C has a nice ass. I'm not gonna lie,
• 40:34
Speaker 1: but it just didn't fit the character.
• 40:37
Speaker 2: So you like Johnny C's ass.
• 40:38
  Speaker 4: Though.
• 40:39
  Speaker 1: It's not that I like Johnny C's ass, It's just
• 40:41
Speaker 1: that you know, when you work out that much, right,
• 40:44
Speaker 1: I mean, you could bounce it. You could. John C
• 40:46
Speaker 1: used to say that shit, you could bounce a quarter
• 40:48
  Speaker 1: off his ass.
• 40:49
Speaker 2: You know that, you know that Johnny C is not
• 40:51
Speaker 2: the kind of guy who skips leg an ass day.
• 40:54
Speaker 1: Hell no, you know he doesn't. You know for a
• 40:56
Speaker 1: fact he does, right, he got this look.
• 40:58
  Speaker 4: Man.
• 40:59
Speaker 1: When I started getting serious about working out, I remember
• 41:02
Speaker 1: getting a text or call from Johnny C. I was
• 41:05
Speaker 1: doing the Santa Monica stairs and I guess he drove
• 41:08
Speaker 1: by because uh Santa Monica and uh Malibu are very
• 41:13
Speaker 1: close to each other. And I remember getting the call, Donald,
• 41:18
Speaker 1: have you taken your workout to the next level? Did
• 41:21
Speaker 1: I just drive by the Santa Monica stairs and see
• 41:24
Speaker 1: you going up the Santa Monica stairs. I'm very proud
• 41:27
Speaker 1: of you, Donald, I'm very very proud of you. You
• 41:30
Speaker 1: gotta work the legs. You gotta work the legs.
• 41:33
Speaker 2: But Johnny C told me that he listens to our
• 41:36
Speaker 2: podcast as he's working out Tuesday and Thursday morning. So Johnny,
• 41:39
Speaker 2: if you're listening to this, don't skip those squads, buddy,
• 41:42
Speaker 2: keep you No, he doesn't keep going as keep that
• 41:45
Speaker 2: ass firm, Johnny, do a couple more reps.
• 41:47
Speaker 1: You could bounce a quarter off of it.
• 41:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, can you still bounce a quarter of Johnny? Or
• 41:51
Speaker 2: is it now just a penny?
• 41:54
  Speaker 1: Solely?
• 41:54
Speaker 2: A penny will bounce.
• 41:59
Speaker 1: Alsoss. When I saw the pants drop, I thought clueless
• 42:02
  Speaker 1: right away.
• 42:04
Speaker 2: What is it with the pants load thing?
• 42:06
Speaker 1: Okay, so this is where it's a cultural thing. So
• 42:10
Speaker 1: in prison, they don't give you a belt, they don't
• 42:12
Speaker 1: give you shoelaces because they're afraid that people will hang
• 42:15
Speaker 1: themselves in their cells and stuff like that or use
• 42:18
Speaker 1: it as a weapon. Right, So you have a bunch
• 42:21
Speaker 1: of people in prison walking around with their pants sagging
• 42:25
Speaker 1: and their shoes not necessarily you know, flipping flip flopping
• 42:29
Speaker 1: off their feet. So when we did Clueless, this had
• 42:34
Speaker 1: been become a fashion statement in the inner city. So
• 42:37
Speaker 1: like a lot of youth in the inner city were
• 42:40
Speaker 1: wearing their pants sagging, just copying what they saw from
• 42:44
Speaker 1: the ogs, you know.
• 42:45
  Speaker 4: What I mean.
• 42:46
Speaker 1: And so this became this became a thing, and uh did.
• 42:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the FAD's gone away, right or no,
• 42:53
Speaker 2: do you still still see people doing it?
• 42:55
Speaker 1: Well, I'm an adult now, I still see it. I'm
• 42:57
Speaker 1: an adult now, I'm a grown man now. So I
• 43:00
Speaker 1: I prefer if you were to pick, I don't want
• 43:01
Speaker 1: to see your underwear. But when I was a youth,
• 43:05
Speaker 1: I was like, oh shit, this you know this is
• 43:07
Speaker 1: I did it all the time.
• 43:08
Speaker 2: So I know from an adult point of view though,
• 43:11
  Speaker 2: it's a pretty ridiculous style.
• 43:14
Speaker 1: Absolutely, But you have to be an adult to be like,
• 43:16
Speaker 1: I don't like that style, of course, But a kid,
• 43:18
Speaker 1: you're like, look at all the OG's did it?
• 43:20
Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
• 43:23
Speaker 2: Like you did it, of course, And I'm sure that
• 43:25
Speaker 2: I subscribe to some style that I would think is ridiculous.
• 43:28
Speaker 2: Now very low V.
• 43:30
Speaker 1: Nex dude, I've seen you with your pants sagging low too.
• 43:33
Speaker 2: So you can't not like your character did in this show.
• 43:37
  Speaker 4: Dude.
• 43:37
Speaker 1: Well, no, not like that, but I've seen it.
• 43:39
Speaker 2: But I had some embarrassingly low V necks, did you really? Yeah,
• 43:43
Speaker 2: I went through a low V neck phase.
• 43:46
Speaker 1: You like a V neck, dide you?
• 43:47
Speaker 2: Well, now you can't because there's certain things that I
• 43:50
Speaker 2: used to do. A cargo shorts, I guess are done.
• 43:52
Speaker 2: My girlfriend said, no way to you, fucking can I
• 43:54
Speaker 2: wear those cargo shorts?
• 43:56
  Speaker 4: You know?
• 43:56
Speaker 1: When I wear cargo shorts when I go to play golf.
• 43:58
  Speaker 1: That's it.
• 44:00
Speaker 2: I think most women, and Joelle, if you wouldn't mind
• 44:02
Speaker 2: speaking on behalf of all women in the world are pretty?
• 44:06
Speaker 2: Are pretty over cargo shorts?
• 44:08
Speaker 1: They're not. They're not attractive on anybody.
• 44:11
Speaker 2: So yo, daggy leg.
• 44:14
Speaker 1: This is when you knew cargo shorts was a wrap.
• 44:17
Speaker 1: When Adam Sandler stopped wearing cargo shorts, you knew. Okay,
• 44:20
Speaker 1: I guess cargo shorts is over.
• 44:22
Speaker 2: Well, it's funny, it was for years. It was like,
• 44:24
Speaker 2: I don't know if the Grip and Electric guys are
• 44:26
Speaker 2: still wearing them, but that was the go to uniform,
• 44:29
Speaker 2: was cargo shorts, right, even in freezing weather. Yeah. And
• 44:32
Speaker 2: I had a bunch of them, and I recently tried
• 44:34
Speaker 2: to pull out a bunch and h and showed Flow
• 44:39
Speaker 2: and she said, you have to take those off immediately.
• 44:42
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 44:42
  Speaker 2: I agree, So they're done. But I can't get I
• 44:45
Speaker 2: can't throw them away. I feel, do you have stuff
• 44:47
Speaker 2: in your closet you cannot wear anymore? But well, obviously
• 44:50
Speaker 2: we're looking at your closet, but you cannot wear anymore.
• 44:52
Speaker 2: You're like, I can't wear those anymore, but you just
• 44:53
Speaker 2: can't throw them away. You have nostalgia for them.
• 44:55
Speaker 1: They might come back too.
• 44:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'll be I'll be fucking locked and loaded
• 44:59
Speaker 2: when cargo shorts come back. All right, do we need
• 45:01
Speaker 2: to take a break, Joel or what We're gonna take
• 45:03
Speaker 2: a break, and when we come back, we're gonna have
• 45:04
Speaker 2: a fan caller. Enjoy these beautiful words.
• 45:16
Speaker 1: Dude, you can make that.
• 45:20
Speaker 2: We used to Donald and I used to make this
• 45:22
Speaker 2: noise whenever Sarah was like it was like late and
• 45:25
Speaker 2: we were all going stir crazy, we'd go and it
• 45:29
Speaker 2: would crack. It would crack her up, and no one
• 45:32
Speaker 2: could hear it, Like the director or the producer of Randall,
• 45:34
Speaker 2: no one could hear that we were doing it. And
• 45:36
Speaker 2: she'd be like, stop doing that, and she'd be cracking out.
• 45:38
Speaker 1: What are you talking about.
• 45:39
Speaker 2: We'd be like, Sarah, everyone's tired, they want to go home.
• 45:41
Speaker 2: Stop sucking up. And then she start her line and
• 45:44
Speaker 2: we go, oh, I missed that crazy girl.
• 45:51
  Speaker 4: She's coming.
• 45:52
Speaker 2: She's coming on when when Joelle Friday right, Friday's Christa,
• 45:57
Speaker 2: oh yeah, next week, we got up. We got uh
• 46:00
Speaker 2: Sarah Chalk the legendary Canadian. All right, BJ Mendelsh Okay.
• 46:05
Speaker 1: Before we get into BJ Mendelssohn, I'm just gonna say
• 46:07
Speaker 1: this out loud. A lot of people are getting pissed
• 46:10
Speaker 1: off at my Oprah ship. Why because some people are
• 46:14
Speaker 1: mad that I'm saying doing the Oprah stuff now.
• 46:16
Speaker 2: Funk that you're reading too many comments.
• 46:18
Speaker 1: Dude, I know I told you in the beginning of
• 46:20
Speaker 1: a shit you're doing two deep of dives.
• 46:23
Speaker 2: You're doing two deep dives. I engage with a little,
• 46:27
Speaker 2: I engage a little, especially with the nice people, and
• 46:30
Speaker 2: then you just dismount. You're like, you're like getting in
• 46:32
Speaker 2: your head. Oh, your Oprah voice is one of the
• 46:34
Speaker 2: reasons I come to work every day.
• 46:36
Speaker 1: Well, in that case, give it up for Bj Mendelssigny.
• 46:45
Speaker 4: I didn't know this was gonna be like a video thing,
• 46:47
Speaker 4: so I'm like wearing my trash your shirt.
• 46:49
Speaker 2: You look great. We're gonna apologize to our listeners that
• 46:55
Speaker 2: BJ doesn't have the ideal the ideal setup because he
• 46:59
  Speaker 2: has a microphone that's a little wacky. But we're gonna
• 47:01
Speaker 2: fix it in post. Are you a dan?
• 47:04
  Speaker 4: I am?
• 47:05
Speaker 1: That's what that is?
• 47:05
Speaker 2: What do you play? What do you play?
• 47:07
Speaker 4: Bad God? I'm embarrassed to say Fortnite and I can
• 47:14
Speaker 4: tell you it was my nieces and nephew. That that
• 47:16
Speaker 4: got me into it because I.
• 47:17
Speaker 1: Ask you a question. Do you default dance?
• 47:21
  Speaker 4: I do?
• 47:22
Speaker 2: Okay, do you use Donald's sunt dance?
• 47:25
Speaker 1: That's the default dance?
• 47:26
  Speaker 4: Okay? Sorry?
• 47:28
Speaker 2: Now, now why are you embarrassed? B I don't really
• 47:30
Speaker 2: know much about gaming these days. Is this Fortnite just
• 47:33
  Speaker 2: meant for children?
• 47:34
  Speaker 1: No?
• 47:36
Speaker 2: Then why is he embarrassed about it?
• 47:38
Speaker 1: Because I've made a big stink about how much I
• 47:40
Speaker 1: do not like Fortnite because they stole my dance. But
• 47:43
Speaker 1: I don't give a ship. To be honest with you,
• 47:45
Speaker 1: I'm very, very very I'm very very happy that they
• 47:49
  Speaker 1: stole my dance.
• 47:50
Speaker 2: I think you were I think you were misquoted when
• 47:52
Speaker 2: you caused a little controversy. You were sort of joke.
• 47:54
Speaker 2: You were sort of joking. And then there were people
• 47:57
Speaker 2: who were like, if they take off that dance because
• 47:59
Speaker 2: of you, fuck you dude.
• 48:01
Speaker 1: They was I I've never had more twelve year old
• 48:04
Speaker 1: boys mad at me in my life.
• 48:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, well you threatened to take away their dance.
• 48:09
  Speaker 1: I didn't threaten. All I did was said. All I
• 48:11
Speaker 1: did was say, you know, they jacked it, and then
• 48:14
Speaker 1: out of nowhere, like it was a bunch of kids
• 48:16
Speaker 1: like fuck you. You has been it's because nobody watches
• 48:19
Speaker 1: your shit anymore. You suck anyway. It's because you didn't
• 48:24
Speaker 1: get any money making scrubs. You didn't get any money making.
• 48:27
Speaker 2: They got They got all riled up because you made
• 48:30
Speaker 2: a joke about the Fortnite dance.
• 48:32
Speaker 1: And I'm fine with that, you know what I mean.
• 48:33
Speaker 1: And and I'm fine with it being the default dance.
• 48:36
Speaker 2: What are the other dances that DJ could use?
• 48:39
Speaker 1: Well, there's the backpack Kids one where it's like, oh yeah,
• 48:42
Speaker 1: backpack kid, and then you need to pay more money
• 48:44
  Speaker 1: for that.
• 48:45
  Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know if that's something you
• 48:47
Speaker 4: want locking on. I'm still new to it.
• 48:49
Speaker 1: I am still like, as long as you do the
• 48:52
Speaker 1: Turk dance, it's all good.
• 48:53
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 48:55
Speaker 2: Do you find yourself djal in Fortnite? Do you talk
• 48:59
  Speaker 2: to other people?
• 49:00
Speaker 4: No? I try not to. That was my big thing
• 49:03
Speaker 4: was I'm kind of just you know, I'm an author,
• 49:05
Speaker 4: so I don't socialize well with others. So playing like
• 49:09
Speaker 4: these online games where people are talking shit to you
• 49:12
Speaker 4: is like a new experience for me, especially when you're
• 49:14
Speaker 4: thirty seven and have never played these things in your life.
• 49:17
Speaker 2: So do you do you choose to not engage with
• 49:19
Speaker 2: angry twelve year olds? I try not to. Okay, it's
• 49:22
Speaker 2: probably good, it's probably good. I think I would get upset,
• 49:25
Speaker 2: and I think personally if I did, i'd if somebody
• 49:27
Speaker 2: was like, fuck your mother, and I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
• 49:29
Speaker 2: I'm just trying to fucking save the world here, everybody
• 49:31
  Speaker 2: comment right.
• 49:32
Speaker 1: Exactly the worst thing in the world to hear a
• 49:34
Speaker 1: kid yelling at you trash.
• 49:36
Speaker 2: PEV pe me, peev, pay.
• 49:38
Speaker 1: Me, payv pay me?
• 49:41
Speaker 2: What does that mean?
• 49:41
Speaker 1: PvP me like play me, like versus just on one. Okay,
• 49:47
Speaker 1: play your first player BJ.
• 49:49
Speaker 2: Do you play any other games besides Fortninite?
• 49:50
Speaker 4: Or is this year right now? It's File Fantasy seven?
• 49:54
Speaker 1: Oh you're a role player? Hold on, I did you
• 49:57
Speaker 1: play Dungeon and Dragons grown up?
• 50:00
Speaker 4: No? I was in Magic the Gathering Kids, same shiit,
• 50:02
Speaker 4: same shit. Yeah, it is it's true.
• 50:06
  Speaker 1: That's cards though.
• 50:07
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that difference.
• 50:09
Speaker 2: Got very addicted to the Star Wars role playing game.
• 50:13
Speaker 2: Donal What was that when you?
• 50:14
  Speaker 4: I remember that?
• 50:15
Speaker 1: Yeah? When I was it was the Star Wars game.
• 50:17
Speaker 1: I don't remember what it was called, but there were
• 50:19
Speaker 1: a bunch of different ones. I even DMD it.
• 50:22
Speaker 2: Oh my god, Jedi Fallen Order, Donald is no, no, no.
• 50:25
Speaker 1: Jedi Fallen Order is a video game. We used to
• 50:28
Speaker 1: play it like it was Dungeons and Dragon.
• 50:31
Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, that's not what I mean. Okay,
• 50:32
Speaker 2: but I'm talking about in our adulthood during the time
• 50:35
Speaker 2: of Scrubs, you were playing.
• 50:37
Speaker 1: A Star Wars Galaxies. Yeah, Star Wars Galaxies when that
• 50:42
Speaker 1: came out. I remember that game. I wish they didn't
• 50:45
Speaker 1: cancel it because look, it started off just as a
• 50:48
Speaker 1: role playing game that you would play on different planets,
• 50:51
Speaker 1: and then they introduced being able to fly in ships, right,
• 50:55
Speaker 1: And I remember at one point I got to talk
• 50:58
Speaker 1: to one of the head developers of the game, and
• 51:02
Speaker 1: I was like, you should make it so that you
• 51:04
Speaker 1: could jump in ships on the ground and fly in
• 51:07
Speaker 1: atmosphere and then from atmosphere take it to space. And
• 51:11
Speaker 1: then the game freaking failed eventually.
• 51:13
Speaker 2: But how can a Star Wars game fail? It just
• 51:16
Speaker 2: doesn't seem like it's possible it.
• 51:18
Speaker 1: You know, you change it enough times and then people
• 51:20
Speaker 1: lose interest. You know. What happens is is that it
• 51:24
Speaker 1: starts off and it's pure and then you start adding things.
• 51:28
Speaker 1: And once you start adding things, you know, people lose
• 51:31
Speaker 1: interest after a while, you know. Perfect example, George Lucas
• 51:38
Speaker 1: with the original series, with the original trilogy, it was
• 51:44
Speaker 1: you know, it was shot a certain way and he
• 51:47
Speaker 1: wasn't happy with it, so he started adding things, and
• 51:50
Speaker 1: the more he added, it seemed like the more fans
• 51:53
  Speaker 1: were like, I don't like that. I don't like that.
• 51:54
Speaker 1: You don't need to add now. For me, I like
• 51:58
Speaker 1: the adding. I liked that he added things because it
• 52:00
Speaker 1: made it cleaner, and it made it faster, and it
• 52:02
Speaker 1: made it you know, if you watch the original or
• 52:05
Speaker 1: New Hope, it's not as the special effects in it
• 52:10
Speaker 1: aren't as glorious as they are now when you watch
• 52:14
Speaker 1: it on Disney. Plus that being said, there are a
• 52:19
Speaker 1: lot of people that don't like that, do not like
• 52:22
Speaker 1: him going and retouching. I for one, do like the
• 52:25
Speaker 1: retouch I think I think there are certain movies that
• 52:29
Speaker 1: still like. People got mad when they retouched et you
• 52:32
Speaker 1: know what I mean. I, for one, wasn't that mad
• 52:36
  Speaker 1: at it.
• 52:37
Speaker 2: I'm gonna be honest, all right, Well, we should probably
• 52:39
Speaker 2: ask BJ some of his thoughts.
• 52:41
Speaker 4: This is a rarity. I usually everyone I encounter hates
• 52:45
Speaker 4: the touch ups to the original trilogy. I don't mind
• 52:47
Speaker 4: them at all. The only one that I freak out
• 52:49
Speaker 4: about is the one everyone freaks out about with Grito's
• 52:52
  Speaker 4: shooting first.
• 52:53
Speaker 2: Right, that's bullshit, come on, yeah right, like that's the
• 52:55
Speaker 2: old the rest of it.
• 52:56
Speaker 4: I really I remember getting in line at the theater
• 52:58
Speaker 4: when they really at least because for me, I wasn't
• 53:01
Speaker 4: old enough pretty original Star Wars.
• 53:03
Speaker 1: So when they you're pretty close to it though, right,
• 53:05
Speaker 1: you said your thirties, I just.
• 53:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, I just turned thirty seven, so nine years younger
• 53:09
Speaker 2: than us or so.
• 53:10
Speaker 4: Yeah. So my like, my first Star Wars is The
• 53:12
Speaker 4: Phantom Menace, which is I'm ashamed to say that loud.
• 53:16
Speaker 1: Dude, you shouldn't be because the Phantom Menace has new
• 53:19
Speaker 1: energy behind it thanks to Dave Filoni.
• 53:21
Speaker 4: But okay, true, true, and plus it had the great
• 53:24
Speaker 4: odd Racing End sixty four game, right, which was amazing.
• 53:29
Speaker 4: But I liked all the touch ups at the ad
• 53:31
Speaker 4: because to me, it was like, all right, it looks
• 53:33
Speaker 4: like everything else. Because when I remember watching on VHS,
• 53:36
Speaker 4: I kind of fell asleep, right because it didn't look
• 53:38
Speaker 4: you know, when I was little, it didn't look as
• 53:40
Speaker 4: crisp as some of the other things that I was
• 53:42
Speaker 4: used to seeing at that age.
• 53:43
Speaker 2: Right, where do you live, BJ, I'm.
• 53:46
Speaker 4: Up in Monroe, New York, which is if anyone knows
• 53:48
Speaker 4: where Woodberry Commons is, it's a large tourist trap.
• 53:51
Speaker 2: Okay, you're a writer, are you? Are you a novelist?
• 53:55
Speaker 4: Yeah? So I'm the author of a book called Social
• 53:57
  Speaker 4: Media's Bullshit. Ah, I wrote didn't playing twelve, so I
• 54:00
Speaker 4: was a little ahead of its time. I'm happy to
• 54:02
Speaker 4: give it away for free if anyone wants a free copy.
• 54:05
Speaker 4: All the up, dude is just hit me up on Twitter.
• 54:07
Speaker 4: It's like I said, it's an older book.
• 54:08
Speaker 2: Ironically, they're gonna have to hit you up on social media.
• 54:10
Speaker 4: Right. So that was the thing that was the thing
• 54:12
Speaker 4: that I got a lot when it came out, was
• 54:15
Speaker 4: it was like, oh, hey, well, you know you've got
• 54:16
Speaker 4: this big presence on Twitter, but you social media's bullshit?
• 54:19
Speaker 4: And when I said, people was it not the tools?
• 54:21
Speaker 4: That's how you use it, and that's the part that
• 54:24
Speaker 4: where you run into all this bullshit.
• 54:27
Speaker 1: Bid Jay, I feel like you'd be a guest that
• 54:28
Speaker 1: we could just talk to for hours about.
• 54:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as you guys don't go down the
• 54:32
Speaker 2: Star Wars read every fucking five minutes. Because I see
• 54:35
Speaker 2: I see Joelle like nodding again, like she's like as
• 54:38
Speaker 2: though she's yelling preach when you guys start to talk.
• 54:41
Speaker 2: So yeah, she's got her hand up in the air
• 54:43
Speaker 2: like you preach. I gotta tell you, I gotta tell
• 54:46
Speaker 2: you for they it's scrubgure. Yeah.
• 54:49
Speaker 4: Please, I have never felt so old and now yo,
• 54:53
Speaker 4: knowing that you guys older and I am, I can
• 54:55
Speaker 4: only mention how you get feel. I was pitching this
• 54:58
Speaker 4: TV show and I can't, you know, can't say too
• 55:00
  Speaker 4: much about it.
• 55:01
Speaker 2: But what I can't say is that it's about the
• 55:02
Speaker 2: six million dollars man, because we just pitched it live
• 55:04
Speaker 2: on this show. So don't steal that, all right, get.
• 55:06
Speaker 4: It totally should be. It totally should be. That it's
• 55:09
Speaker 4: due for a remake, although with inflation, I think you
• 55:11
Speaker 4: might have to adjust it slightly.
• 55:12
Speaker 2: Yeah, we said that. We said you wouldn't get very
• 55:15
Speaker 2: farward rebuilding him for six maybe his feet, yeah, you
• 55:18
Speaker 2: would get the feet maybe like the decaps. He would
• 55:21
Speaker 2: just fall over a lot.
• 55:22
Speaker 4: So but this kid, the kid, the kid that would
• 55:25
Speaker 4: start in the show is only like twenty and twenty one,
• 55:27
Speaker 4: and so as I was going through it with him
• 55:29
Speaker 4: and explaining, like the look and it feels like, you know,
• 55:31
Speaker 4: it's a lot like Scrub season one and Scrub season eight,
• 55:34
Speaker 4: where it's a little goofy, but it's also got like
• 55:37
Speaker 4: a little bit of darkness to it. And he was
• 55:40
Speaker 4: humoring me. He's like, oh, yeah, yeah, I remember Scrubs.
• 55:42
Speaker 4: And then like got off the phone and producer cls
• 55:45
Speaker 4: and went back and he's like, he has no idea
• 55:46
Speaker 4: what the fuck Scrubs it? Like, what's like what Scrubs
• 55:49
  Speaker 4: was on?
• 55:49
Speaker 1: He was maybe two, And for me, is this kid
• 55:54
  Speaker 1: a successful actor?
• 55:56
Speaker 4: He is a successful TikTok star? Oh wow, yeah right,
• 56:00
  Speaker 4: Like yeah, so.
• 56:03
Speaker 2: Way, Donald, if TikTok was out when when you were young,
• 56:05
Speaker 2: you would have been a TikTok stock because.
• 56:07
Speaker 1: You would have been TikTok.
• 56:08
Speaker 2: No, but I can't dance like you can do those moves, dude.
• 56:12
Speaker 1: No, but you would have figured out a way to
• 56:14
Speaker 1: freaking look, man, you did Garden State. You would have
• 56:17
Speaker 1: figured out a way to make a fucking movie on
• 56:19
Speaker 1: TikTok that everybody loved, even if it was like you know,
• 56:23
Speaker 1: only however long TikTok allows it, you would have figured
• 56:26
Speaker 1: out a way. You're a very bright boy, Thank you
• 56:28
  Speaker 1: very bright.
• 56:29
Speaker 2: You do you ever see that video of the girl
• 56:31
Speaker 2: on TikTok and was like vent viral. She's sobbing, but
• 56:34
Speaker 2: she's still doing her TikTok dance in some comedian I forgot.
• 56:39
Speaker 2: I don't know who it was, but they were like,
• 56:41
Speaker 2: maybe maybe wait until you're done with your breakdown, until
• 56:44
Speaker 2: you to do the dance. But she's trying to make
• 56:46
Speaker 2: a point that like I'm still gonna dance through this
• 56:49
Speaker 2: sad moment, and she's doing all the choreography, but she's bawling.
• 56:52
Speaker 1: I've never seen this.
• 56:53
Speaker 2: Have you got a BJ Have you seen that I have?
• 56:55
Speaker 4: I gotta tell you I tried like hell to avoid
• 56:58
Speaker 4: TikTok and snapchat, but it's the nephews. You know, they're
• 57:01
Speaker 4: that age group where that's all they're on.
• 57:02
Speaker 2: So I don't even look at that.
• 57:03
Speaker 1: My daughter, that's all she watches. My daughter, not my
• 57:07
Speaker 1: not my not my five year old, but my twenty
• 57:09
Speaker 1: one year old just walks through the house dead. You
• 57:11
Speaker 1: gotta check this out, and it's nothing but TikTok. Ship
• 57:15
Speaker 1: like it's so much. I would get my daughter up,
• 57:18
Speaker 1: my five year old up here right now. But my
• 57:20
Speaker 1: twenty one year old daughter has corrupted Kanya has corrupted
• 57:23
Speaker 1: Wilder so much that Wilder is now doing the Savage challenge.
• 57:28
Speaker 1: I'm a savage, classy bougie ratchet it.
• 57:34
Speaker 2: Can you get her up here? We got to hear it.
• 57:36
  Speaker 4: Hold up.
• 57:39
Speaker 2: That Wilder, this is this might be worth it. BJ
• 57:46
Speaker 2: You're about to get a special.
• 57:47
  Speaker 4: So it's good.
• 57:48
Speaker 2: She's warming up because she used to she used to know.
• 57:50
Speaker 2: She used to not perform on cue. But we're we're
• 57:54
Speaker 2: gonna turn her into a We're gonna turn her into
• 57:55
Speaker 2: a child actress. If it's the death of us.
• 57:57
Speaker 4: That's that's fantastic. I have to tell you so, just
• 58:01
Speaker 4: real quick. The Garden State soundtrack for my college radio
• 58:04
Speaker 4: station was all that they would play when it came out,
• 58:07
Speaker 4: so I just I would I feel obligated to share
• 58:10
Speaker 4: that with you. Oh, thank you, wait for tell to
• 58:12
  Speaker 4: come back.
• 58:13
  Speaker 2: Thank you. Yeah.
• 58:14
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 58:15
Speaker 2: It was Donald jokes that I want to Grammy for
• 58:18
Speaker 2: a mixtape, but he's right. It was just the music
• 58:20
Speaker 2: I was, me and my friends were listening to, and
• 58:22
Speaker 2: it felt really appropriate. For the for the era that
• 58:25
Speaker 2: the film was about, and then uh, with the help
• 58:28
Speaker 2: of my editor Myron Kirstein. He really gets all the
• 58:32
Speaker 2: credit for putting them in the right spots. He I made.
• 58:35
Speaker 2: I just made a giant playlist, and then I'd let
• 58:38
Speaker 2: him go attack some scenes and then he'd come back
• 58:40
Speaker 2: and he'd go, Dude, I've just put the Paul Simon
• 58:43
Speaker 2: song on this moment, and you got to see it.
• 58:45
Speaker 2: And I would watch it and get goosebumps uping down
• 58:47
Speaker 2: my arms, like, yeah, we're never gonna be able to
• 58:49
Speaker 2: get that song. But that's a keeper.
• 58:52
Speaker 4: Oh here she is.
• 58:54
  Speaker 2: There's Racoh, there's Roco.
• 58:59
  Speaker 1: Hold on.
• 59:00
Speaker 2: Come on, all right, all right, Wilder perform.
• 59:04
Speaker 1: Back up, back up, back up, back up. You don't
• 59:06
Speaker 1: need the music, you're just doing it without the music.
• 59:08
  Speaker 2: Ready, all right?
• 59:09
Speaker 1: Go five, six, seven eight.
• 59:12
Speaker 6: I'm savash, cassy, who's ratchet, sassy, nasty, hackinghan, I'm.
• 59:24
Speaker 2: Savash thunderous applause, dam.
• 59:30
Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
• 59:32
  Speaker 4: All right?
• 59:34
Speaker 1: Okay, so now I got Look, I'm gonna show you
• 59:36
Speaker 1: who's all in here. Now. I got the whole family
• 59:38
Speaker 1: in here, just to see hurt.
• 59:42
Speaker 2: Everybody's here. I'm okay rock okay, all right, all right,
• 59:49
Speaker 2: get him out, pull him out.
• 59:54
Speaker 1: Back to the bouncy you guys wet this whole room up. Huh.
• 59:58
Speaker 2: Back to the bouncy castle.
• 1:00:00
  Speaker 1: They're there there.
• 1:00:01
  Speaker 2: I don't I don't know this song, but it doesn't
• 1:00:03
Speaker 2: seem that it's necessarily appropriate for a five year old
• 1:00:06
Speaker 2: to sing one of the.
• 1:00:07
Speaker 1: Lyrics twenty one year old, who's who's watching TikTok like
• 1:00:12
Speaker 1: twenty four to seven and so because.
• 1:00:13
Speaker 2: Of that, But can you talk me through the lyrics
• 1:00:15
Speaker 2: of this this song?
• 1:00:17
Speaker 1: It's it's Meg the Stallion, right, and she now has
• 1:00:22
Speaker 1: a remix with her and Beyonce. Okay, baonce as how
• 1:00:27
  Speaker 1: would say?
• 1:00:28
Speaker 2: Rest in peace my father?
• 1:00:30
Speaker 1: And uh the chorus is I'm a savage. Uh uh?
• 1:00:40
Speaker 1: What is it? I'm a savage? See classy bougie ratchet? Uh?
• 1:00:47
Speaker 2: Now what does ratchet mean?
• 1:00:48
Speaker 1: Ratchet is like when you're like, that's ratchet, You're ratchet?
• 1:00:52
  Speaker 1: Isn't necessary?
• 1:00:53
Speaker 2: Joelle is typing out the lyrics for you. Donald say naddy.
• 1:00:56
Speaker 1: Nasty, moody, nasty, act think stupid?
• 1:01:01
  Speaker 2: What's happening?
• 1:01:03
  Speaker 1: What's happening?
• 1:01:04
Speaker 2: I don't know how I feel about my little goddaughter
• 1:01:06
  Speaker 2: saying sassy, maddy.
• 1:01:08
Speaker 1: Nasty, moody, moody, moody.
• 1:01:10
Speaker 2: Oh sorry, well it's Joelle's typo, not mine. I thought
• 1:01:13
Speaker 2: maddy was a new word.
• 1:01:14
Speaker 1: No moody, sassy, moody, ratchet, no acting stupid, what's happening.
• 1:01:22
Speaker 2: Savage, classy, bougie ratchet.
• 1:01:27
Speaker 1: DJ's like, what did I get into?
• 1:01:29
Speaker 2: This is like we forgot about question?
• 1:01:34
Speaker 4: This is exactly what I'm going through right now. Like,
• 1:01:36
Speaker 4: so we hit this song well life Olivia, she's five,
• 1:01:41
Speaker 4: is really into it, and you know, the lyrics are
• 1:01:43
Speaker 4: probably not terribly appropriate for a five year old, so
• 1:01:46
Speaker 4: we had to like immend it and say no, no,
• 1:01:48
Speaker 4: this song is called a Little Light. So I know
• 1:01:50
Speaker 4: this whole thing very well.
• 1:01:51
Speaker 1: Like, BJ, are there any questions you want to J?
• 1:01:54
Speaker 2: Do you have any questions?
• 1:01:55
  Speaker 1: Yeah?
• 1:01:56
Speaker 4: So I don't know where to start because just to
• 1:01:58
Speaker 4: give people contact, Yeah, it's it's I've got the fan
• 1:02:01
Speaker 4: going so hopefully you guys can't hear it too much.
• 1:02:03
Speaker 2: I can't feel the fan, PJ. Can you turn it
• 1:02:05
  Speaker 2: a little towards.
• 1:02:08
Speaker 4: So it's just just for context. So going through, Uh
• 1:02:12
Speaker 4: so I used to be married and going through we
• 1:02:13
Speaker 4: got married, just as the recession started, So we didn't
• 1:02:16
Speaker 4: have a lot of stuff, but we did have Scrubs dvidews,
• 1:02:19
Speaker 4: so that was pretty much we would watch Did you
• 1:02:22
Speaker 4: give him or her?
• 1:02:23
Speaker 2: When in the breakup? Did you give him or her?
• 1:02:24
  Speaker 2: Season nine?
• 1:02:26
Speaker 4: Uh? I actually like season nine Donald, you do okay?
• 1:02:31
Speaker 4: I can't sell you my attentionent Uh, I think it
• 1:02:36
Speaker 4: all okay. Great. So I know this has been said
• 1:02:39
Speaker 4: elsewhere by other people, like had it had a different title,
• 1:02:43
Speaker 4: it would have been been successful. But I think because
• 1:02:45
Speaker 4: it was still could Scrubs.
• 1:02:47
Speaker 2: Should have been called Dave Franco. Yeah, there was a
• 1:02:50
Speaker 2: little too much Dave Ranco Donald as Screech.
• 1:02:54
Speaker 1: Right, But I like it.
• 1:02:57
Speaker 4: It's very solid. You know, the show up really well.
• 1:03:00
Speaker 4: Season nine holds up. I feel pretty well. Did. There
• 1:03:03
Speaker 4: is probably a little too much Dave Franco for me.
• 1:03:04
Speaker 4: He was like to me, it's more like annoying character.
• 1:03:07
Speaker 4: He was not right right, But so to me, like
• 1:03:12
Speaker 4: the big question I feel like is how do you
• 1:03:14
Speaker 4: think the show has has held up? Because today the
• 1:03:16
Speaker 4: episode that we were going to talk about, there's a
• 1:03:18
Speaker 4: whole sequence with doctor Cox and the and the doctor,
• 1:03:22
Speaker 4: the young doctor, and I feel like today I don't
• 1:03:24
Speaker 4: know if you'd be able to do that story.
• 1:03:26
Speaker 1: Well, yeah, you know, there are a lot of things
• 1:03:28
Speaker 1: that don't necessarily uh hold up with what's going on
• 1:03:34
Speaker 1: today with the show. You know, Cox calling j D
• 1:03:37
Speaker 1: a girl's name all the time might be you know,
• 1:03:41
Speaker 1: offensive to some Yeah, you could catch offense to that.
• 1:03:44
  Speaker 3: Uh.
• 1:03:45
Speaker 1: Zach and I had a conversation about that. We were like,
• 1:03:47
Speaker 1: you know what, we know where the show has its
• 1:03:51
Speaker 1: moments where we're like, oh boy, but maybe you know,
• 1:03:57
Speaker 1: if we're if everybody's true fans of the show and
• 1:04:00
Speaker 1: was watching it back then and doesn't have a problem
• 1:04:03
  Speaker 1: didn't have a problem with it back then, I don't
• 1:04:05
Speaker 1: necessarily think it behooves us to continue to talk about what,
• 1:04:10
Speaker 1: you know, the past. You know, it was made at
• 1:04:14
  Speaker 1: a certain time, you know what I mean. I don't
• 1:04:16
Speaker 1: know how to I don't know.
• 1:04:17
Speaker 2: But but to your point, I don't know that. Uh again,
• 1:04:21
Speaker 2: who knows that someone might find offense to doctor Cox
• 1:04:24
  Speaker 2: flirting with a coworker, I don't know. I think it
• 1:04:27
Speaker 2: was done in a pretty uh clearly consensual way. She
• 1:04:31
Speaker 2: was flirting right back with him, and.
• 1:04:32
Speaker 1: Well, and Turkey says, Turke even says, you know this
• 1:04:36
Speaker 1: is highly inappropriate and you shouldn't be doing this. And
• 1:04:39
Speaker 1: you know better than this doctor Cox and it and
• 1:04:43
Speaker 1: and to the and to his intern. And if you're
• 1:04:45
Speaker 1: supposed to say anything to you're supposed to be uh
• 1:04:49
Speaker 1: worshiping me and you know the knowledge I have and
• 1:04:53
Speaker 1: not chape being love struck with this, you know, senior
• 1:04:57
Speaker 1: resident in the hospital.
• 1:04:58
Speaker 2: For what it's worth. He then doesn't have uh courage
• 1:05:01
Speaker 2: or or whatever. And he's still obsessed with Judy, I guess.
• 1:05:04
Speaker 2: And he walks off and that she that shows up
• 1:05:07
Speaker 2: at his door. Do you remember that?
• 1:05:10
  Speaker 4: No?
• 1:05:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, he I think he told I think PJ totally
• 1:05:13
  Speaker 1: gets it.
• 1:05:13
Speaker 2: But now I'm saying it to you. She she's the
• 1:05:16
Speaker 2: she becomes the aggressor. And then he gets up and
• 1:05:18
Speaker 2: says something no man would ever say to a woman.
• 1:05:21
Speaker 2: He says, uh, I'm using you to get past another person.
• 1:05:25
Speaker 2: That was fucking nuts that any human being would say
• 1:05:27
Speaker 2: that to someone. But then she's like, I don't care,
• 1:05:30
  Speaker 2: let's hook up.
• 1:05:32
Speaker 1: That's not why I'm here, right.
• 1:05:33
Speaker 4: Yeah. My whole deal is, you know, you have to
• 1:05:35
Speaker 4: look at things with the time that they were produced. Uh,
• 1:05:38
Speaker 4: And that doesn't excuse like like really agregious stuff. We
• 1:05:41
Speaker 4: had a title come out of Cereal Boxes recently called Knox,
• 1:05:45
Speaker 4: which deals with a lot of the HP Lovecraft U
• 1:05:47
Speaker 4: you know, like the dark and mysterious tentacles and enemies
• 1:05:50
Speaker 4: from other dimensions. And so the way I describe it
• 1:05:53
Speaker 4: to people is, you know, it's HP Lovecraft about any
• 1:05:55
Speaker 4: of the anti Semitism, like it's taking, it's taking like
• 1:05:59
Speaker 4: the best parts of it. And so yo, if you
• 1:06:01
Speaker 4: look at his stuff in that context, you can't excuse
• 1:06:04
Speaker 4: like the bladant bigotry.
• 1:06:06
  Speaker 2: That's, well, you're you're you said, you're an LGBTQ activist.
• 1:06:11
Speaker 2: So there's plenty of stuff that I imagine some would
• 1:06:14
Speaker 2: find offensive. In nine years of this show, the calling
• 1:06:16
Speaker 2: of JD this sort of it was considered derogatory to
• 1:06:20
Speaker 2: be called a girl's name. I mean, how does how
• 1:06:22
Speaker 2: does something like that?
• 1:06:23
Speaker 4: I thought that held up to me. I thought that
• 1:06:25
Speaker 4: held because it's within the character that it works. That
• 1:06:29
Speaker 4: makes sense that he it's just the characters Dead said
• 1:06:32
Speaker 4: on belittling JD in any way that he can and.
• 1:06:35
Speaker 2: In his mind, in Cox' mind, that was belittling.
• 1:06:39
Speaker 4: Exactly, and was it It didn't come off as like
• 1:06:42
Speaker 4: malicious in that he meant it as a anti gy sler,
• 1:06:47
Speaker 4: like he just meant it as this I'm just gonna
• 1:06:49
Speaker 4: chip you down. I'm just gonna keep chipping away too.
• 1:06:51
Speaker 4: So I think it really comes from the character. And
• 1:06:53
Speaker 4: as long as the character isn't like blatantly racist or something,
• 1:06:57
Speaker 4: which is the case at the Coxes, and it's fine.
• 1:07:00
  Speaker 4: I know that I know that there's there's certainly people
• 1:07:03
Speaker 4: that would be offended by it, and I understand that.
• 1:07:07
Speaker 4: But to me, as long as it fits with the
• 1:07:09
Speaker 4: nature of the character, you think it's okay. All right,
• 1:07:12
  Speaker 4: all right?
• 1:07:12
Speaker 2: Do you have another question for the legendary Donald Faison
• 1:07:15
Speaker 2: or Zach braf sassy bougie Ratchet. What's happening Mahdi?
• 1:07:21
Speaker 1: You sound like you sound like Rocco. So Rocco doesn't
• 1:07:24
Speaker 1: like the song at all because he doesn't like to
• 1:07:26
Speaker 1: dance or anything like that. Right, so he'll be like,
• 1:07:29
Speaker 1: I'm a savage ratchet acid dookie.
• 1:07:36
Speaker 2: Rockets at a stage where if you just want to
• 1:07:38
Speaker 2: savage to something, say poopy or coca.
• 1:07:41
Speaker 1: Right cock anything. Any He sometimes, look, man, you've you've
• 1:07:44
Speaker 1: heard my son. I've taught him some words that I'm
• 1:07:47
Speaker 1: I should never have taught him.
• 1:07:48
Speaker 2: Man, it's like a parrot. You never want to teach
• 1:07:50
  Speaker 2: a parrot curse.
• 1:07:52
Speaker 1: I taught him some words, and now I'm like, I
• 1:07:54
Speaker 1: should have never done it, And when he goes back
• 1:07:56
Speaker 1: to school, I'm so worried.
• 1:07:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, for now it's your problem. Yes, go ahead.
• 1:08:01
Speaker 4: Yeah. So you mentioned in the Doors that did they
• 1:08:04
Speaker 4: get season nine? I was actually gonna give them season
• 1:08:06
Speaker 4: seven for the writer's strike, And I was just always
• 1:08:11
Speaker 4: fascinated by the whole thing with you guys having to
• 1:08:16
Speaker 4: stop mid season and just trying to adjust that. I
• 1:08:18
Speaker 4: don't remember. Maybe you guys can provide the context of that.
• 1:08:20
Speaker 4: So the season shut down and then you had to
• 1:08:24
Speaker 4: go back and finish the episodes. Was that sort of
• 1:08:25
Speaker 4: the deal on that.
• 1:08:28
  Speaker 2: I don't really remember. I know that I know that
• 1:08:29
Speaker 2: Hollywood was shut down for the writer's strike and we
• 1:08:33
Speaker 2: didn't work. Then we went back. Why are you saying
• 1:08:37
Speaker 2: that you can notice a difference in the in the
• 1:08:39
Speaker 2: quality because of that crazy time.
• 1:08:41
Speaker 4: Yeah. I think that if those episodes were done in
• 1:08:43
Speaker 4: any other context, they would have been great. But there's
• 1:08:46
Speaker 4: something that feels off to them as you're watching them
• 1:08:50
Speaker 4: that could just be going in with the context of oh,
• 1:08:52
Speaker 4: this was done when the writers weren't there, or this
• 1:08:53
Speaker 4: was sort of just done under.
• 1:08:55
Speaker 2: Well, nothing would be done without the writers being there.
• 1:08:58
Speaker 1: You know, this is a this is a really good bill.
• 1:09:00
Speaker 2: Oh great, we can do our ask Bill.
• 1:09:03
Speaker 1: This is a really good bill. Question.
• 1:09:05
Speaker 2: So, BJ why don't you direct it directly to Bill Lawrence,
• 1:09:08
Speaker 2: the show's creator. You asked him. It's a good question.
• 1:09:12
Speaker 4: Yeah, So Bill, a season seven, if you had to
• 1:09:15
Speaker 4: do over, would you feel that it would come out differently?
• 1:09:17
Speaker 4: And then the way it did being produced the writer strike.
• 1:09:21
  Speaker 4: I think that's a good way.
• 1:09:22
Speaker 2: That that is good and then Bill will will Bill
• 1:09:25
  Speaker 2: answer it?
• 1:09:26
  Speaker 4: Now?
• 1:09:26
Speaker 2: Knowing Bill, knowing Bill, he'll answer the He'll start with
• 1:09:29
Speaker 2: a joke, that's all. It's all. See if he does this,
• 1:09:31
Speaker 2: A'll open with a joke. Then he'll give a very heartfelt,
• 1:09:33
Speaker 2: serious answer, and then he'll end by yelling five, six, seven, eight,
• 1:09:38
  Speaker 2: we'll see, we'll see. I hope I do.
• 1:09:40
Speaker 5: I think Season seven would have been different without the
• 1:09:42
Speaker 5: right Yeah, because you got to remember, not only did
• 1:09:45
Speaker 5: the strike muck everything up so much so NBC even
• 1:09:50
Speaker 5: rejiggered the order of the episodes. I think they aired
• 1:09:53
Speaker 5: that Princess Bride homage like it was this show's finale,
• 1:09:57
Speaker 5: just in case it was the show's finale, when it
• 1:09:59
Speaker 5: wasn't supposed to. I mean, we were heading the finale
• 1:10:02
Speaker 5: was always going to be that end of season eight
• 1:10:04
Speaker 5: episode that was already written in my head, and uh,
• 1:10:08
Speaker 5: we just never got to do it that year. It
• 1:10:09
Speaker 5: was such a drag. Also, you got to remember, man,
• 1:10:11
Speaker 5: during that whole lead up to the strike, it was
• 1:10:14
Speaker 5: such a weird writer's room because we were all hustling
• 1:10:17
Speaker 5: and worried about losing our jobs and worried about not
• 1:10:20
Speaker 5: working and all that stuff. So it was definitely screwed
• 1:10:23
Speaker 5: up on one of them on record that I didn't
• 1:10:26
Speaker 5: do the number Q for the song because it'll get
• 1:10:30
Speaker 5: stale if I do it too often. But I'm coming
• 1:10:32
Speaker 5: back with a vengeance.
• 1:10:34
  Speaker 4: See.
• 1:10:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember when the writer's strike happened, and I
• 1:10:37
Speaker 1: remember the one thing that I remembered the most about
• 1:10:40
Speaker 1: the writer's strike was thinking, holy cow, we're not going
• 1:10:44
Speaker 1: to work for a while, and does this mean this
• 1:10:49
Speaker 1: is the end of the show, because you know, at
• 1:10:51
Speaker 1: this point, you know, studios were studios weren't necessarily behind
• 1:10:57
Speaker 1: writers striking and everything like that, and I worried at
• 1:11:00
Speaker 1: that point, does this mean that Scrubs isn't coming back?
• 1:11:02
Speaker 1: Are you know? And I remember I remember marching with
• 1:11:05
Speaker 1: Bill all the way to Universal Studios.
• 1:11:08
Speaker 2: Now we all went and marched on the line with everybody.
• 1:11:11
Speaker 1: And thinking, is this something that the studio is going
• 1:11:14
Speaker 1: to look back at and be like, well, We're not
• 1:11:16
Speaker 1: going to bring back Scrubs because they were a part
• 1:11:19
Speaker 1: of the writer's strike. We're not going to bring back
• 1:11:20
Speaker 1: Brooklyn nine to nine because they were a part of
• 1:11:22
Speaker 1: the you know what I mean.
• 1:11:24
Speaker 2: Like now, by the way, you know, shows are dropping
• 1:11:27
Speaker 2: because of this because of COVID, and and Broadway shows
• 1:11:30
Speaker 2: are closed because of COVID because they because they know
• 1:11:32
  Speaker 2: they can't.
• 1:11:32
Speaker 1: Right, Frozen is done because of COVID.
• 1:11:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, and others and shows are getting canceled. Emergence a
• 1:11:40
Speaker 2: amazing show, Emergence starting.
• 1:11:41
Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if Emergents got canceled because of
• 1:11:43
Speaker 1: COVID or if Emergents got you know, ABC doesn't have
• 1:11:46
Speaker 1: to give a reason for why they canceled the show.
• 1:11:49
Speaker 2: Have you watched Emergence?
• 1:11:51
  Speaker 4: I have, I didn't.
• 1:11:53
Speaker 2: It didn't take for me a BJ You're done, No,
• 1:11:58
Speaker 2: I'm just joking, I'm just doing.
• 1:12:01
Speaker 4: It didn't take for me. I love the cast, great actors,
• 1:12:05
Speaker 4: great actors. Yeah, I find a lot of TV shows
• 1:12:08
Speaker 4: that come out of the broadcast that works that usually
• 1:12:11
Speaker 4: the cast is great, but for whatever reason, there's just
• 1:12:13
Speaker 4: something that doesn't click for.
• 1:12:14
Speaker 2: Me the way that well, I think what happens is
• 1:12:16
Speaker 2: that just sort of stereotypically there there's a lot of
• 1:12:21
Speaker 2: chefs in the kitchen on broadcast, and now more and
• 1:12:24
Speaker 2: more the showrunner and directors are given long leashes on
• 1:12:31
Speaker 2: streaming platforms and there's a voice to be had. They
• 1:12:35
Speaker 2: want a voice, was the voice behind the show. That's
• 1:12:37
Speaker 2: what they're interested in, especially all these sort of comedies
• 1:12:40
Speaker 2: we all love on on on things like you know,
• 1:12:43
Speaker 2: the perfect example is is Atlanta. For me, it's like
• 1:12:46
Speaker 2: so clearly someone's taste and voice.
• 1:12:49
Speaker 1: And that's hard to find on broadcast television, of.
• 1:12:52
Speaker 2: Course, because there's nine thousand people weighing in and it
• 1:12:55
Speaker 2: just becomes a fucking muddy stew Oh.
• 1:12:57
Speaker 4: I feel that way about Dave on fx X.
• 1:13:01
Speaker 2: You like it or you don't like it.
• 1:13:02
  Speaker 4: I love it.
• 1:13:02
Speaker 2: Oh good good, I get a whole ad for Dave
• 1:13:05
Speaker 2: on here it's so good, Davids. I can't get Donald,
• 1:13:08
Speaker 2: who would love it more than any of us, to
• 1:13:09
Speaker 2: watch it, because he's too busy fucking doing whatever he's doing.
• 1:13:12
Speaker 1: I'm raising kids, yo, No, I'm raising kids.
• 1:13:15
Speaker 2: Go to sleep? And what time seven thirty?
• 1:13:17
Speaker 1: And then I want to go to bed, buddy, seven early?
• 1:13:21
Speaker 2: What time you get to bed? What time is lights out?
• 1:13:23
  Speaker 1: Thirty?
• 1:13:24
  Speaker 4: No?
• 1:13:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, man, you turn out your lights at eight thirty, eight.
• 1:13:28
Speaker 1: Thirty nine o'clock. I'm most likely on my way upstairs
• 1:13:31
Speaker 1: to go to sleep. Wow, it's crazy, dude. Listen man.
• 1:13:35
Speaker 1: As much as as much as I'm as, I'll tell
• 1:13:38
Speaker 1: you right now. I love my children. I love everything
• 1:13:41
Speaker 1: about being a dad and and all of that stuff.
• 1:13:44
Speaker 1: But I said it before. I miss waking up at
• 1:13:47
Speaker 1: noon and not having anything to do other than hang
• 1:13:51
Speaker 1: out with my wife. You know what I mean. I
• 1:13:55
  Speaker 1: miss that shit.
• 1:13:57
Speaker 2: Every every week. Donald makes having children seem less and
• 1:14:01
  Speaker 2: less appealing.
• 1:14:02
Speaker 1: Now now I don't want to go back to that.
• 1:14:05
  Speaker 1: I don't want I don't want to. You know, the
• 1:14:07
Speaker 1: grass is always greener. I would prefer to wake my
• 1:14:11
Speaker 1: my son walking in my room at five thirty in
• 1:14:13
Speaker 1: the morning every day, saying can I have cinnamon toast crunch.
• 1:14:19
Speaker 1: I prefer that over.
• 1:14:21
Speaker 2: Freak being at Orlando Jones's pool till four.
• 1:14:24
Speaker 1: Morning, right exactly till four o'clock in the morning. But
• 1:14:27
Speaker 1: you know it's it's I do miss that moment in
• 1:14:32
Speaker 1: time where it was just I didn't have to worry
• 1:14:36
Speaker 1: about a lot of things, you know what I mean,
• 1:14:38
Speaker 1: And I worry about everything.
• 1:14:39
  Speaker 4: Now.
• 1:14:40
Speaker 2: Well, you're in a new chapter of your lifetime. This
• 1:14:42
Speaker 2: is this is forty six.
• 1:14:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and when I was a young dad,
• 1:14:48
Speaker 1: it seemed a lot easier. It seems way more difficult now. Man,
• 1:14:51
Speaker 1: I don't know bj you have kids.
• 1:14:53
Speaker 4: Right, No, I'm child free.
• 1:14:56
Speaker 2: He was talking about it.
• 1:14:57
Speaker 4: Yeah, I love kids. I love that is more than
• 1:15:00
Speaker 4: anything in the world. I think kids are just the best.
• 1:15:04
  Speaker 1: Uh.
• 1:15:05
Speaker 4: But for me, I decided, you know, I want to
• 1:15:07
Speaker 4: be inviting friendly and I know it's cookies, it sounds.
• 1:15:10
Speaker 4: So I took that, took that like produce your carbon
• 1:15:13
Speaker 4: footprint thing really seriously and just decided you had kids.
• 1:15:17
Speaker 4: I don't know what kind of world did would get into,
• 1:15:19
Speaker 4: so I signed out to do it. It's a little
• 1:15:21
  Speaker 4: too deep.
• 1:15:22
Speaker 2: As you like fun, go out with one a happy question.
• 1:15:25
Speaker 2: Because we're going along, we wrap it up. Yes, you've
• 1:15:29
Speaker 2: been a great guest. I gotta say Donald hasn't been
• 1:15:31
  Speaker 2: a great guest.
• 1:15:32
Speaker 1: BJ. I'm gonna be honest with you so far, favorite
• 1:15:35
  Speaker 1: call in ever.
• 1:15:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I'm gonna I'm gonna think for a second. Yeah,
• 1:15:39
Speaker 2: I think BJ is definitely top two or three.
• 1:15:42
  Speaker 4: Two.
• 1:15:42
Speaker 1: I'm gonna give the number one.
• 1:15:43
Speaker 2: You know what, No, before you give it to him,
• 1:15:45
Speaker 2: Before you give it to him, Let's see what the
• 1:15:47
  Speaker 2: final question is.
• 1:15:48
Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, no, I thank you guys, because I, like
• 1:15:50
Speaker 4: I said, I spent uh craps on the time with
• 1:15:54
Speaker 4: the X watching you. So it was cool just being
• 1:15:57
Speaker 4: able to experience a few minutes hanging out. Uh So,
• 1:16:00
Speaker 4: my last question for you is the world where even
• 1:16:03
Speaker 4: like the most chriscopic shown, remember Get the movie. You've
• 1:16:08
Speaker 4: probably gotten this a lot, but do you envision a
• 1:16:11
Speaker 4: scenario where there might be more scrubs? And I know
• 1:16:14
Speaker 4: that it's such a fam boy question I asked, but
• 1:16:15
Speaker 4: I had to ask it.
• 1:16:16
  Speaker 1: No, it's a great question.
• 1:16:18
  Speaker 2: I think there's a world.
• 1:16:19
Speaker 1: It was we did the view today and Whoopy Goldberg said.
• 1:16:24
Speaker 2: You know Oscar nominee. Woopy Goldberg got Oh, he got winner.
• 1:16:30
Speaker 1: He got winner. Whoopy gold Sorry, she has the four
• 1:16:34
  Speaker 1: of them together.
• 1:16:35
Speaker 2: I didn't know she was an e gun.
• 1:16:37
Speaker 1: Yeah she she she That's the reason she's got the Tony,
• 1:16:40
Speaker 1: the Emmy, the Grammy and the Oscar.
• 1:16:44
Speaker 2: What does she have an oscar for?
• 1:16:46
  Speaker 1: Ghost?
• 1:16:46
  Speaker 4: Color purple?
• 1:16:47
  Speaker 2: Ghost ghosts?
• 1:16:51
  Speaker 4: Oh?
• 1:16:51
Speaker 2: Wow, don't get us going on color purple.
• 1:16:53
  Speaker 4: We did.
• 1:16:54
Speaker 2: We did a whole episode. Listen, we love us some
• 1:16:57
  Speaker 2: don't get don't, don't, don't, don't get good Donald doing
• 1:17:00
Speaker 2: Oprah's monologue again because she was Gideon for me.
• 1:17:03
Speaker 1: Like I grew up with her on the Next Generation. Yes,
• 1:17:06
Speaker 1: she was great on that too.
• 1:17:08
Speaker 2: Did you ever see her one woman Broadway show that
• 1:17:10
  Speaker 2: you can know?
• 1:17:11
Speaker 1: That's what she won the Tony four?
• 1:17:13
Speaker 2: I think it was nineteen eighty five. It was Whoopy
• 1:17:16
Speaker 2: Goldberg's one woman Broadway show and she does all these characters,
• 1:17:21
Speaker 2: and I'm telling you find it. It is a fucking masterpiece.
• 1:17:24
Speaker 4: It's one of the she she is.
• 1:17:26
Speaker 1: She is by far like she is, she's better.
• 1:17:29
Speaker 2: I don't mean to diss the view, because the view
• 1:17:32
Speaker 2: is the view, and it's like the most popular daytime show.
• 1:17:34
Speaker 2: But I wish that Whoopy was still acting because she's
• 1:17:37
  Speaker 2: so incredibly talented.
• 1:17:39
Speaker 1: She's one of the She's one in my opinion, she's
• 1:17:41
Speaker 1: one of the best ever.
• 1:17:43
Speaker 2: Anyway, you made me want to go back and watch
• 1:17:45
Speaker 2: Star Trek the Next Generation now because I used to
• 1:17:48
  Speaker 2: watch that show.
• 1:17:50
Speaker 1: Gat watching Donald, I did great.
• 1:17:52
Speaker 2: Do you remember the episode where Picard is being tortured
• 1:17:54
  Speaker 2: and he's like.
• 1:17:54
Speaker 1: There four lights? Yeah by the borg is he being
• 1:18:00
Speaker 1: to the boy again?
• 1:18:01
  Speaker 4: Yeah?
• 1:18:02
Speaker 1: Anyway, she was like Whoopee was like, look, I'm a
• 1:18:07
Speaker 1: huge fan. I was a huge fan of the show.
• 1:18:09
Speaker 1: I think y'all should make a Scrubs movie.
• 1:18:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, So we talk about that, you know, because I
• 1:18:15
Speaker 2: point to psych who's now made two successful films, and
• 1:18:20
Speaker 2: it would be fun. I think it would be fun
• 1:18:21
Speaker 2: for us to all do something like that. We just
• 1:18:23
Speaker 2: have to get Disney to be into it and Bill
• 1:18:25
Speaker 2: Laurence to be into it, and I think it'll happen.
• 1:18:28
Speaker 2: They're the fans. The fans seem to really want it
• 1:18:30
  Speaker 2: to happen.
• 1:18:31
Speaker 1: The fans wanted a rewatch show and they got that.
• 1:18:34
Speaker 2: So yes, we're getting the people what they want. DJ
• 1:18:37
Speaker 2: You've been an outstanding guest. You're Donald's favorite guest of all.
• 1:18:41
Speaker 1: Time favorite, calling Calling guests calling.
• 1:18:44
Speaker 2: Favorite Collin BJ. We had to qualify it and better.
• 1:18:48
Speaker 4: I have no doubt.
• 1:18:49
Speaker 2: Uh No, I think you asked smart questions. You seem
• 1:18:51
Speaker 2: like a very intelligent man. You gave a thoughtful discourse.
• 1:18:55
Speaker 2: What else Donald and he knew about Star Wars? Yeah,
• 1:18:57
Speaker 2: you know about Star Wars. That's why Donald likes you.
• 1:18:59
Speaker 2: And you had Well waving her hands like she was
• 1:19:01
Speaker 2: Sam preach in the background. Thanks for coming on, man,
• 1:19:04
Speaker 2: have a great day, stay safe.
