- 0:30Speaker 1: Now, here's your host, Nasa Chobie.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk. We are broadcasting
- 0:37Speaker 4: live from the Seahawks Podcast Studio, presented by Sony, the
- 0:40Speaker 4: official partner of the Seattle Seahawks.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Bump In Man, I'm not gonna las to you man,
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'm still hurt.
- 0:45Speaker 3: It's officially done.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I'm still hurt.
- 0:48Speaker 4: I you know, I'm mister positive on every one of
- 0:51Speaker 4: these podcasts, and you listen to us for the last
- 0:52Speaker 4: five or six years. I'm mister positive. I want to
- 0:55Speaker 4: speak things into existence. Yep, and we were discs so close.
- 0:59Speaker 4: We were this six way Arizona, Arizona, Arizona, Arizona. I know,
- 1:03Speaker 4: I know, I know. You can't rely on other people,
- 1:06Speaker 4: But for to go down the way it went down.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Why can't you rely on other people? Sometimes you gotta
- 1:11Speaker 5: rely on other people.
- 1:12Speaker 4: This is life, that is true. That usually I like
- 1:14Speaker 4: to you know, like anyone else. That's probably what's wrong
- 1:16Speaker 4: with me. I want to do it all by myself. Anyway,
- 1:19Speaker 4: it was for Seahawk fans. It was death by a
- 1:20Speaker 4: thousand paper cuts. We know needed to happen in Seahawks
- 1:23Speaker 4: took care business beat the Bears. The easiest thing was
- 1:25Speaker 4: we needed the Rams to go down.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:27Speaker 4: And you watch that game and you were almost there,
- 1:30Speaker 4: so close, you were almost there. I let's let's just
- 1:34Speaker 4: talk real quick. Let's talk about that last play, because
- 1:35Speaker 4: that's what everyone's talking about. Set it up. The Cardinals
- 1:38Speaker 4: come on back. It's first in goal. Okay, first and goal.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I believe there's thirty seven seconds left in the game.
- 1:45Speaker 4: You're feeling pretty good at Seahawk fans. They score touchdown,
- 1:48Speaker 4: the game's over. What happened on that last play.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Well, they jacked up and through the dang football.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Okay, before the ball of snaps about forty two seconds left,
- 1:55Speaker 5: you're on the five yard line. Run the football and
- 1:58Speaker 5: like you mentioned, we're talking off and make the Rams
- 2:01Speaker 5: burn that dang time out. Make them use it right.
- 2:04Speaker 5: But no, you run the football supposed to set it up.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Instead of running the football. You get into shotgun formation.
- 2:10Speaker 5: You got a two by two look and the Rams
- 2:13Speaker 5: are bringing heat. Man, you got pressure up the b
- 2:15Speaker 5: from the Kyler Murray's left side, you got pressure from
- 2:18Speaker 5: the nickel from the right side, and you have one
- 2:22Speaker 5: on one. You're manned up, which isn't bad. You're going
- 2:24Speaker 5: to your best receiver, trade McBride, who's the tight end.
- 2:26Speaker 5: I think he's second when it comes to all tight ends.
- 2:28Speaker 5: When it comes to yards. Browers might have more than him,
- 2:31Speaker 5: but you're going to him. I don't mind the decision
- 2:33Speaker 5: if you're throwing the football, but first things first, run
- 2:36Speaker 5: the dang ball on first down.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Run the dang ball. You got two time out yourself.
- 2:40Speaker 5: So McBride gets an outside release, sticky coverage, and Kyler
- 2:43Speaker 5: Murray just zifts that thing in there.
- 2:45Speaker 3: McBride was not ready for that football. It snuck up
- 2:48Speaker 3: on him.
- 2:48Speaker 5: It's happened to me before ball sneak up on you,
- 2:51Speaker 5: hits him in the helmet, pops up, and then a
- 2:53Speaker 5: guy who wore the jersey for Seattle for a few weeks,
- 2:57Speaker 5: Hello Witherspoon.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Comes up with the interception, and that is all. She wrote.
- 3:01Speaker 5: That was tough to see poor decision making. I think
- 3:04Speaker 5: down there on the five yard line, run the dang ball.
- 3:06Speaker 5: You got two tight miles, the Rams got one. They're
- 3:08Speaker 5: gonna burn it. Set things up like, let's get this done.
- 3:11Speaker 4: I was at a bar enjoying a nice little date
- 3:14Speaker 4: night with my wife. Doesn't happen a lot during the season.
- 3:17Speaker 4: There you go and bump. I was crushed. Me an,
- 3:20Speaker 4: entire bar of people were absolutely crushed. I mean the
- 3:23Speaker 4: air just went out of the building. And then you
- 3:25Speaker 4: knew after that, you're like, okay, we'll be good. We
- 3:27Speaker 4: just seed all and then just need some help. It
- 3:30Speaker 4: didn't happen, But I will say this, you know, I
- 3:33Speaker 4: just said it before. I'm gonna spend some things positively.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Heading into Sunday, the Seahawks are looking for their first
- 3:37Speaker 4: ten win season since twenty twenty. You know, but they've
- 3:40Speaker 4: had that happened nine times in thirteen seasons, so hoping
- 3:43Speaker 4: that happens this year in coach McDonald's first year. They
- 3:45Speaker 4: could also tie the best road record in franchise history
- 3:48Speaker 4: at seven and one. They could also tie the longest
- 3:50Speaker 4: road winning streak at six games, and we've talked about
- 3:53Speaker 4: it all week on your shows, different shows. Coach McDonald
- 3:56Speaker 4: with a win on Sunday, will patch Chuck Knox and
- 3:58Speaker 4: Mike Conggrian for the most wins my first year Seahawks
- 4:01Speaker 4: head coach with ten, they could finish four and two
- 4:03Speaker 4: in the division. That's obviously Hall of fame company that
- 4:05Speaker 4: you're in there. It stings and it burns me to
- 4:08Speaker 4: my core, my soul. But the Seahawks are not going
- 4:10Speaker 4: to the playoffs. But there was a lot of positive
- 4:12Speaker 4: heading a Sunday. I know some of us aren't ready
- 4:14Speaker 4: to hear those positives yet, but it is. It's a
- 4:16Speaker 4: fact of life. As you said, Seahawks did not get
- 4:19Speaker 4: it done, but they are playing the team that they
- 4:20Speaker 4: would have to beat regardless in any situation.
- 4:23Speaker 1: The Los Angeles Rams. What's on tap? What's on tap?
- 4:30Speaker 1: The Rams ten and six?
- 4:31Speaker 4: Unfortunately, NFC West champions just again, even me just coming
- 4:36Speaker 4: out of my mouth.
- 4:37Speaker 3: That just champs. Oh man.
- 4:40Speaker 4: This team was one and four, bump start rough. There
- 4:43Speaker 4: was conversations. If I remember, I'm old enough to remember,
- 4:46Speaker 4: there's conversations about whether they should get rid of Cooper Cup,
- 4:49Speaker 4: Matthew Stafford all that cleaning chip is McVeigh gona come back.
- 4:53Speaker 4: The season's over at one and four, they rebound. They
- 4:56Speaker 4: finished the year nine and two, okay, and they obviously
- 5:00Speaker 4: have some big wins. To beat the Vikings, they somehow
- 5:03Speaker 4: beat the Bills, another one that just like man out
- 5:06Speaker 4: to shoot out to beat the nine. And then the
- 5:08Speaker 4: last three games haven't been pretty. Twelve six over the
- 5:11Speaker 4: forty nine Ers, nineteen nine over the Jets, thirteen to
- 5:13Speaker 4: nine over the Cardinals, bump, and we kind of talked
- 5:15Speaker 4: about it. We don't need to go through the whole thing.
- 5:17Speaker 4: But the Rams game, I'm just I'm just hurt.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Yeah, man, it was.
- 5:20Speaker 5: It was a tough game, low scoring game there in
- 5:23Speaker 5: Los Angeles, and just didn't get it done. It's not
- 5:27Speaker 5: enough to get her done. A positive for mcbridy finally
- 5:30Speaker 5: scores a day touchdown.
- 5:31Speaker 3: I'm a man.
- 5:32Speaker 5: All these yards and no touchdowns, So if there's a positive,
- 5:35Speaker 5: I can take for the Cardinals. Good for McBride, because
- 5:37Speaker 5: you know, I root for the player, not the the organization.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I like seeing success. Good for him. But no, you
- 5:43Speaker 3: had a chance to win it.
- 5:44Speaker 5: The Cardinals had a chance to win it, and you
- 5:45Speaker 5: ran the football on first and five.
- 5:50Speaker 3: It hurts it.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Should have they should have done that. I mean mcridy
- 5:53Speaker 4: alluded to twelve per sevens. I'm sorry, football the ball
- 5:56Speaker 4: first and five. Should have ran it. See my mind,
- 5:59Speaker 4: my mind can makes sensive it. It's like, why would
- 6:01Speaker 4: you not run the full ball? Doesn't compute, It doesn't compute.
- 6:04Speaker 4: I mean, man, you talked about Trey. He was twelve receptions,
- 6:07Speaker 4: one hundred and twenty three yards and touchdown. Unfortunately, the
- 6:09Speaker 4: one that we really needed and we didn't get it
- 6:11Speaker 4: is what it is devastating. New Seahawks aren't in the playoffs.
- 6:13Speaker 4: But like we said, there's a lot of you know,
- 6:15Speaker 4: things to look at. We'll quickly kind of look at
- 6:17Speaker 4: this head to head comparison bump. The Seahawks are right there.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Hopefully they're going to finish both at ten and seven.
- 6:22Speaker 4: You look at the offensive ranks, how the Seahawks are
- 6:24Speaker 4: trying to finish on a good note their fourteenth ranked
- 6:26Speaker 4: on the year, averaging three to thirty one per game,
- 6:28Speaker 4: thirtieth rush off fense, seven pass offense to thirty eight
- 6:32Speaker 4: per game, twenty one points per game.
- 6:33Speaker 1: That's nineteenth.
- 6:34Speaker 4: For the Rams are seventeenth overall three hundred and twenty
- 6:37Speaker 4: six yards a game rush offense or twenty third averaging
- 6:40Speaker 4: one hundred and five yards per game pass offense two
- 6:42Speaker 4: hundred and twenty one yards. That's fourteenth in the league.
- 6:44Speaker 4: And lastly, they are twentieth in points, averaging twenty one
- 6:47Speaker 4: point four points a game. Other than that Bills game,
- 6:50Speaker 4: they have been lighting the world on fire offense.
- 6:52Speaker 3: No, they've been. They've been steady. Man. They've dealt with.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Some injuries and they got healthy and I'm trying to
- 6:56Speaker 5: figure themselves out, but they've won ball game. So tipic
- 6:59Speaker 5: cap defends simply, the Hawks are thirteenth overall, eighteenth against
- 7:02Speaker 5: the run, seventh against the past, tenth when it comes
- 7:04Speaker 5: to points allowed. The Rams of twenty sixth overall, twenty
- 7:08Speaker 5: fourth against the run, twenty first against the pass, and
- 7:10Speaker 5: fifteenth when it comes to points allowed per game twenty
- 7:13Speaker 5: two point three to have thirteen interceptions, and they're plus
- 7:18Speaker 5: seven when it comes to the turnover differential.
- 7:20Speaker 3: This is gonna be a good game.
- 7:21Speaker 5: It's gonna be a tough one, even though I know
- 7:24Speaker 5: McVeigh is alluding that he's gonna sit a bunch of guys, right,
- 7:27Speaker 5: But I don't care. You come out and you play
- 7:29Speaker 5: football and smack these dudes with that question.
- 7:31Speaker 1: You're still in your division.
- 7:32Speaker 4: You've lost three games in a row to these guys,
- 7:34Speaker 4: and two years in a row losses to them probably
- 7:37Speaker 4: cost you the postseason. So I don't think there's the
- 7:40Speaker 4: guys downstairs don't need any extra motivation.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I can promise you that.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I can promise you that we're Badcasting from the Seahawks
- 7:46Speaker 4: Podcast Studio, presented by Sony, the official partner of the
- 7:49Speaker 4: Seattle Seahawks. And obviously there is a long, long history
- 7:53Speaker 4: between these two teams. No your history all time series
- 7:58Speaker 4: noted up at twenty seven. Rams have the edge in
- 8:00Speaker 4: the playoffs at two and oh. The Seahawks are two
- 8:03Speaker 4: and three in the last five matchups, but have lost
- 8:05Speaker 4: the last three games and have actually lost six of
- 8:07Speaker 4: the last eight.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Against these Rams.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Goodness, wow, a lot of tough conversations we're happening so
- 8:13Speaker 4: far to get this thing started. The last game against
- 8:18Speaker 4: these Rams was a heartbreaker, and again one we can
- 8:20Speaker 4: point to is one of the reasons unfortunately this team
- 8:22Speaker 4: is not in the playoffs. The Seahawks were leading thirteen
- 8:25Speaker 4: to three at halftime. I remember this was right after
- 8:26Speaker 4: the Bills game. I remember being in the booth with
- 8:29Speaker 4: you and Moyer. We're talking about we're feeling good. Okay,
- 8:31Speaker 4: oh this defense, Okay, who are these guys that showed up?
- 8:34Speaker 4: They're stopping the run. Ernest Jones is into like everything
- 8:37Speaker 4: is feeling kind of good. Rams come out. They go
- 8:39Speaker 4: eleven plays, seventy five yards, touchdown, drive open the second half.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Next possession, the Hawks go, drive down the field all
- 8:45Speaker 4: the way the Rams six yard line, first and goal,
- 8:47Speaker 4: and then it's a fourteen point swing pick six run
- 8:50Speaker 4: back one hundred and three yards. And that really was
- 8:52Speaker 4: the one that you look at for the Seahawks the
- 8:55Speaker 4: day that really flipped the script of that game. The
- 8:57Speaker 4: Seahawks go three and now then our guy Cody White
- 9:00Speaker 4: man big ups. Coddy White blocks a punt. Cody and
- 9:02Speaker 4: the Seahawks are right back in business.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Fortunately, another interception. I know there's a lot of people
- 9:07Speaker 4: out there that are There's a lot of Geno conversation
- 9:10Speaker 4: that can be had this offseason. But as we know,
- 9:12Speaker 4: a lot of those interceptions are not on that man.
- 9:14Speaker 4: This was one of them. Aj Barner gets held, Yeah,
- 9:17Speaker 4: doesn't get called. Unfortunately he's intercepted. But Gino leads to
- 9:20Speaker 4: Seahawks all the way back crazy drive at the end
- 9:22Speaker 4: of the game. Eight play seventy three d seventy three
- 9:24Speaker 4: yard drive anyone of the fourteen yard touchdown on JSN.
- 9:27Speaker 4: He had a big fourth and five completion on the
- 9:29Speaker 4: Rams sideline Keith that drive going. Seahawks tie the giving up,
- 9:33Speaker 4: they go to overtime and man, another one lost opportunity
- 9:37Speaker 4: to see us are two opportunities to get a first
- 9:39Speaker 4: down and third and one fourth and one they don't
- 9:40Speaker 4: get it. And then defensively, I think one that Reek
- 9:44Speaker 4: would hope that he would have got and made a
- 9:46Speaker 4: million plays this year, and he's had a really good
- 9:48Speaker 4: season despite what some people will say.
- 9:50Speaker 1: But unfortunately he just kind of stood there.
- 9:51Speaker 4: He didn't really attack the football, and that would have
- 9:54Speaker 4: set the Seahawks up.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It would have been a game winning field goal because
- 9:57Speaker 1: both had a possession. Didn't go your way.
- 9:58Speaker 4: The Seahawks dominated four twenty four to three sixty six
- 10:01Speaker 4: yards out rush Hill one O seven to sixty eight,
- 10:04Speaker 4: one time in possession, but couldn't overcome the three costly turnovers.
- 10:08Speaker 4: And I think moving forward, this rival was just heating
- 10:11Speaker 4: up right because everyone's been Everyone keeps wanting to say
- 10:14Speaker 4: McVeigh is gonna retire?
- 10:15Speaker 1: How long?
- 10:15Speaker 4: How many years we keep hearing that? Last three at least,
- 10:18Speaker 4: I don't know what's gonna happen. He's still there and
- 10:20Speaker 4: they still got talented guys, and they keep finding ways
- 10:22Speaker 4: to continue to win. The last two years. They were't
- 10:24Speaker 4: supposed to be good. They're figuring it out. As much
- 10:26Speaker 4: as it pains me to say so, I think this
- 10:27Speaker 4: rival is just getting started. But I promise you that
- 10:30Speaker 4: the coach McDonald led teams this is gonna this is
- 10:33Speaker 4: gonna shifts as this thing moves forward, and hopefully it
- 10:36Speaker 4: starts shifting on Sunday.
- 10:38Speaker 1: But we will still take a look around the NFC
- 10:40Speaker 1: West what's the.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Word and the Seahawks, So the NFC West champs.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Again, what's the word in the West? On Hawk talk?
- 10:53Speaker 5: Well, it's all decided in the NFC West. Unfortunately, the
- 10:56Speaker 5: Rams will uh will win this thing. They're ten and seven,
- 10:58Speaker 5: but the Hawks, obviously playing this weekend, could end with
- 11:01Speaker 5: the same record. But right now they are nine and seven,
- 11:04Speaker 5: the Cardinals seven and nine, and the forty nine Ers,
- 11:06Speaker 5: who were picked to win this division by most people
- 11:09Speaker 5: at the bottom of this thing, six and ten. It
- 11:12Speaker 5: was a slow, painful death for the Seahawks. After losing
- 11:15Speaker 5: to the Vikings, they lost control of their own faith.
- 11:18Speaker 5: The easiest scenario was the Hawks needed the Cardinals to win,
- 11:21Speaker 5: but as we know, that did not happen. But to
- 11:25Speaker 5: stay alive, the Hawks needed a lot of help and
- 11:27Speaker 5: got it from almost nobody. They said, we're gonna take
- 11:30Speaker 5: this day off. Hawks, you've decided it already. And to
- 11:33Speaker 5: make it worse, each team the Seahawks needed to win
- 11:35Speaker 5: loss in heartbreaking fashion.
- 11:37Speaker 3: It was like it was make justss the weekend. It
- 11:39Speaker 3: was a stressful weekend.
- 11:41Speaker 5: The Broncos lost to the Bengals and ot The Packers
- 11:44Speaker 5: fought all the way back from seventeen fourth quarter deficit,
- 11:47Speaker 5: only to lose by two, allowing a game ending first down.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Then the Falcons, with Michael PENNINGX at QB, converted on
- 11:53Speaker 5: two fourth and longs to tie the game, but missed
- 11:56Speaker 5: a game winning field goal and lost to the Commanders
- 11:58Speaker 5: in overtime. This was tough because it almost like you're
- 12:01Speaker 5: moving on to the next scenario, like, all right, that
- 12:04Speaker 5: didn't happen. We got this one, all right, well we
- 12:07Speaker 5: need something else to happen, and it just didn't happen.
- 12:10Speaker 5: And then at some point you just accepted it. It's
- 12:12Speaker 5: like you just you just sat down and drank whatever
- 12:15Speaker 5: you're drinking water, maybe an adult beverage, and said this
- 12:17Speaker 5: is it and that's what happens when you rely on
- 12:20Speaker 5: other people.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's again, like we said, it's frustrating, but
- 12:24Speaker 4: this this felt especially cruel because again I said this
- 12:28Speaker 4: to everyone.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Listen, if the Cardinals just got boat raced in the
- 12:32Speaker 1: first quarter, you're like, you.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Know what, man, this wasn't accepting it, and you accepted early.
- 12:37Speaker 4: It's a different vibe. But to get let down in
- 12:39Speaker 4: the way and then like of course, the way my
- 12:41Speaker 4: brain's wired again, I'm always thinking there's still a chance,
- 12:43Speaker 4: knowing that there's going to need to be like seven
- 12:44Speaker 4: other things that would have to happen this Sunday. But
- 12:47Speaker 4: every game I was at running errands, so doing stuff
- 12:49Speaker 4: I got home and then I would kind of like
- 12:51Speaker 4: open my phone. I'd be like, oh, hold on a minute,
- 12:54Speaker 4: the the Packers come back or the that's what I
- 12:57Speaker 4: look at it. Oh, just to get let down, yep.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Then I go away, probably put my daughter to bed,
- 13:01Speaker 4: like peak out the room. Oh Michael Pennock's fourth and ten,
- 13:04Speaker 4: Oh touchdown, okay, look out again, oh Missfield.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I mean just like every just a tease. It was
- 13:11Speaker 1: brutally uh.
- 13:12Speaker 4: And then the one game that really didn't have any
- 13:14Speaker 4: playoff implications was the Lions in the forty nine ers.
- 13:17Speaker 1: We won't spend a lot of time on it.
- 13:18Speaker 2: There.
- 13:19Speaker 1: It was back and forth game.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Five straight touchdowns to start the game, the Lions, they'd
- 13:23Speaker 4: create a bunch of turnovers.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Second half, they'd win. Forty thirty four. Golf had a
- 13:26Speaker 1: great day.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Passed over three hundred yards, three touchdowns, Jremior Gibbs over
- 13:30Speaker 4: one hundred and seventeen yards, eighteen carries in a touchdown,
- 13:33Speaker 4: and then Jamison Williams, Sam Laportamn Ross Saint Brown all
- 13:36Speaker 4: had touchdowns. Kirby Joseph two interceptions, Rock Purdy another good game,
- 13:40Speaker 4: another brockish game. Over three hundred yards passing three touchdowns,
- 13:44Speaker 4: but had a couple of big turnovers.
- 13:45Speaker 1: So yeah, definitely interesting.
- 13:47Speaker 4: The Niners first losing season for them since twenty twenty,
- 13:51Speaker 4: first time they missed the playoffs since that same year,
- 13:53Speaker 4: and the first time they didn't advance an NFCY title
- 13:55Speaker 4: game since twenty twenty.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Yeah, the Niners in the Rams were both of the
- 14:00Speaker 5: same teams right in the sense that when they are healthy,
- 14:04Speaker 5: they're a good ball team. But they both got hit
- 14:07Speaker 5: with the injury bug, and fortunately for the Rams, unfortunate
- 14:10Speaker 5: for the Seahawks. They found a way to get healthy
- 14:11Speaker 5: and do their thing. So as the forty nine ers
- 14:13Speaker 5: has dug themselves in such a big hole, there was
- 14:15Speaker 5: no getting out of there. And what's crazy about the
- 14:17Speaker 5: brock party situation is now, now, what are you gonna
- 14:20Speaker 5: do with brock Purty. If you would have played like
- 14:23Speaker 5: crap this game, it would have been easy for management
- 14:26Speaker 5: to really think about moving on.
- 14:27Speaker 3: But we're looking at the QB market out there.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Ain't gonna be too much out there, and I don't
- 14:31Speaker 5: know where they should have what at least a top
- 14:33Speaker 5: twelve pick. I would say in the the draft this year,
- 14:35Speaker 5: are you getting drafted?
- 14:36Speaker 4: Guy?
- 14:36Speaker 5: Are you going with Purty, that's gonna be interesting. And
- 14:38Speaker 5: then Ricky Pierre saw a good story of the guy
- 14:40Speaker 5: who was shot before the season started.
- 14:42Speaker 3: He's he's gonna be just fun.
- 14:43Speaker 5: When Brandon and Ayu gets back, Man, we gotta get
- 14:46Speaker 5: ready to go because the Niners ain't going nowhere. And
- 14:48Speaker 5: then Lynch says, Shanahan's get to go, So stop talking
- 14:51Speaker 5: about firing Shanahan.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So it'd be pretty already get fired after the three
- 14:54Speaker 1: straight Edge title.
- 14:55Speaker 5: I'm just saying, you know, the streets was talking they
- 14:59Speaker 5: these fans, Twitter and all that stuff will say crazy
- 15:02Speaker 5: things at times.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Yeah, you know the thing about them too, obviously they're
- 15:05Speaker 4: they're good football team and it's gonna be a dogfight.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Every team is gonna be in this, even the Cardinals
- 15:09Speaker 4: next year in the NFC West. So that's an interesting thing.
- 15:11Speaker 4: The one thing I did hear a lot about was
- 15:12Speaker 4: talking about Dan Campbell and they're like, hey, why'd you
- 15:14Speaker 4: play your starters? Yeah, And the good thing is I've
- 15:16Speaker 4: kind of heard different head coaches speak about this, and
- 15:19Speaker 4: finally you want to talk about like educating some people.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Campbell spoke about it. I heard Bill Belichick and Hardball was.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Talking about it.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Guys, it can only make x amount of people inactive exactly.
- 15:29Speaker 4: So just because you have stuff wrapped up, what are
- 15:30Speaker 4: you gonna do? Sit how many guys?
- 15:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:32Speaker 4: And then on top of that bump, what are you
- 15:34Speaker 4: gonna say other than quarterback?
- 15:36Speaker 2: Right?
- 15:36Speaker 1: I understand stating a quarterback obviously, but are you gonna.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Be like, hey, you six over here, We really value
- 15:42Speaker 4: you guys, and we are screwed if you if you
- 15:44Speaker 4: get hurt the rest of y'all guys, I know we
- 15:46Speaker 4: start twenty two.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Y'all gotta play. Sorry, you know what I mean. That's
- 15:49Speaker 1: how it is.
- 15:51Speaker 5: They they he ain't gotta say that you in that
- 15:53Speaker 5: locker room, you know, yeah, but Jared, sit down, Aman,
- 15:56Speaker 5: sit down.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I'm reported.
- 15:58Speaker 1: But it's not college. There's nothing.
- 15:59Speaker 5: You know, they're not deep, but they know in that
- 16:02Speaker 5: locker room, you know, I know it's untouchable. I mean,
- 16:05Speaker 5: I just it's the message. You gotta go. You gotta play, guys.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Twenty two people go to keep the field.
- 16:09Speaker 3: You do gotta play.
- 16:10Speaker 5: It's people think that they're just this team is like
- 16:13Speaker 5: ninety deep. No, it's fifty three active on that sideline.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Still guy right.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Out there in places becually we're twenty five guys field
- 16:22Speaker 4: this you's gonna be gunner.
- 16:23Speaker 3: You're gonna be R two. You're gonna be the returner.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You're gonna play receiver.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I know, yep, I know you're running back. But listen,
- 16:30Speaker 3: oh man.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Well that's the world. Let's get back to these Los
- 16:33Speaker 4: Angeles rams. Man up, Hey, who you got?
- 16:35Speaker 3: Who you got?
- 16:36Speaker 1: You know what time it is? Man up Man up? Brother,
- 16:39Speaker 1: Man up man up?
- 16:40Speaker 4: On Hawk Talk Broadcasting Life in the Seahawks Podcast CDIRE,
- 16:43Speaker 4: presented by Sony, the official partner of the Seattle Seahawks. Well,
- 16:47Speaker 4: normally we start with the quarterback, and we've been talking
- 16:49Speaker 4: about Matthew Stafford. You've had a lot of conversations about
- 16:51Speaker 4: him over the years. He continues out to the pressive resume.
- 16:54Speaker 4: He's tenth in NFL history when it comes to passing yards, touchdowns,
- 16:57Speaker 4: ninth and attemps, completions.
- 16:58Speaker 1: All that stuff.
- 16:59Speaker 4: He's about to go over sixty thousand yards. But apparently
- 17:02Speaker 4: it's not going to be on SID. We know this
- 17:04Speaker 4: guy though, No, he's pretty good. The other guy though, Yes,
- 17:07Speaker 4: Jimmy Garoppolo.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Me g back in the hood.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Jimmy g led the forty nine ers to Super Bowl
- 17:12Speaker 4: back in twenty nineteen that feels like ages ago, man,
- 17:15Speaker 4: and back to the NFC title game in twenty twenty one.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Outside of those years, though he could never stay healthy.
- 17:19Speaker 4: He's suddenly had one season where he played in double
- 17:22Speaker 4: digit games and those were both those years I mentioned,
- 17:24Speaker 4: or one other season I should say twenty twenty two
- 17:26Speaker 4: he played.
- 17:26Speaker 1: In eleven games. So he's been he's been hurt a
- 17:29Speaker 1: lot of the time.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Went down to Vegas after things didn't end well in
- 17:32Speaker 4: San Francisco, goes down to Vegas, started six of seven
- 17:35Speaker 4: games before being benched for Aid and O'Connell. So that
- 17:38Speaker 4: was kind of the crossroads for him in his career.
- 17:40Speaker 4: And those games he won won ten for one sixty
- 17:42Speaker 4: nine two undred five yards, seven touchdowns, and nine interceptions.
- 17:46Speaker 4: He's taken zero game reps for the Rams this season,
- 17:50Speaker 4: so Jimmy g we we kind of know what the
- 17:53Speaker 4: what the book is on him.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Ye, right, you make him throw to the outside outside.
- 17:57Speaker 3: That's a Moyer stat right there. Paul Moyer is the
- 18:00Speaker 3: first one to point that out. Yeah, make them throw outside.
- 18:02Speaker 5: The numbers we know and their offenses are similar when
- 18:06Speaker 5: you look at the Rams and r Niners not. I'm
- 18:08Speaker 5: sure they call things differently and every concept doesn't match up,
- 18:11Speaker 5: but they want to misdirection. You go across the middlefield
- 18:14Speaker 5: and get their playmakers the ball.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Go get it done. This is a guy, and you
- 18:17Speaker 4: need to force some turnovers. Again, you're out there, you're
- 18:19Speaker 4: playing for something, You're strapping up your professional football player,
- 18:21Speaker 4: and they're going to do just that. So hopefully see
- 18:23Speaker 4: Us can get after Jimmy g and create a couple
- 18:24Speaker 4: turnovers there.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Go get them to talk about our quarterback.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Now, you're not making the playoffs, obviously, but Gino can
- 18:31Speaker 5: still check some things off on his list. He can
- 18:33Speaker 5: become the first quarterback in franchise history to finish the
- 18:36Speaker 5: season where they complete the percentage of seventy percent or higher.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Ads of today, his completing percentage on the season is
- 18:42Speaker 5: seventy point two percent. He already holds the record at
- 18:45Speaker 5: sixty nine point eight which was set in twenty twenty two.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Russell Wilson previously held the record at sixty eight point
- 18:51Speaker 5: eight percent. Of Gino, where to do that? I am
- 18:55Speaker 5: interested to hear the critiques. There's always gonna be critiques,
- 18:59Speaker 5: right of course, But for him. To have that type
- 19:01Speaker 5: of season when he throws the football almost more than
- 19:03Speaker 5: anybody in the league and still have that high completion
- 19:06Speaker 5: percentage I think is impressive. We all know the struggles
- 19:08Speaker 5: that have been there with that offensive line. He also
- 19:11Speaker 5: needs one hundred and eighty six yards to set the
- 19:13Speaker 5: career high in passing yards this season with forty two
- 19:16Speaker 5: hundred and eighty three yards. That would also break the
- 19:18Speaker 5: franchise record for passing yards in a season, which he
- 19:21Speaker 5: set in twenty twenty two. He's also within striking dishes
- 19:24Speaker 5: of the single season franchise record in attempts twenty two
- 19:27Speaker 5: of them things needed, in completions thirteen needed. We already
- 19:32Speaker 5: know that he he needs three hundred yard game to
- 19:34Speaker 5: be in sole possession of the franchise record for single
- 19:37Speaker 5: season for three hundred yards with six passing up. Russell
- 19:39Speaker 5: Wilson's crazy when you look at Gina on paper and
- 19:43Speaker 5: see all that he can accomplish this year and feel like, well,
- 19:48Speaker 5: he's probably not respected the way that he should be
- 19:51Speaker 5: across the league and especially in his hometown.
- 19:54Speaker 3: He's still got some things he can.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Do, no question about it.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Obviously, it's the interceptions which you can't ignore, but you
- 19:59Speaker 4: can't ignore all the positives.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You can't have it both ways.
- 20:01Speaker 4: You can't be like this is the only thing, but
- 20:03Speaker 4: when people say here those other things, we can say
- 20:05Speaker 4: that's I mean, it's just it's inconsistent. So he will
- 20:08Speaker 4: have to deal with some guys though, the Rams, Jared
- 20:10Speaker 4: Verse and oh yeah, Brad and Fisk. It's been a
- 20:13Speaker 4: problem them young bulls. He yeah, Verse, I'm worried about Verse.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Long term. He's a long term problem. He's got the
- 20:21Speaker 4: eighth highest pressure percentage across the NFL after seventeen weeks.
- 20:24Speaker 4: So he's got eleven TFLs, four and a half sacks,
- 20:27Speaker 4: eighteen QB hits and you look, get fists. He's got
- 20:29Speaker 4: forty three tackles, eight sacks, tendfls. Those two together long
- 20:32Speaker 4: term problems causing a lot of issues. So you ain't
- 20:34Speaker 4: even mention Kobe Turner neither. I know, you know, like
- 20:38Speaker 4: them dudes is ready to do. I talked to JB.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Long, the play by play guy in the radio for
- 20:42Speaker 5: the Rams, and he said, this group collectively is better
- 20:45Speaker 5: than when Aaron Donald was on there. Honestly, Aaron Donald
- 20:48Speaker 5: is one of the greatest and the greatest defensive linement
- 20:50Speaker 5: of all time. But as a group, these guys are better.
- 20:53Speaker 5: They got better, and they lost the greatest of all time.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That's I don't like hearing that, JV Like, I don't
- 20:58Speaker 1: like here, ma man.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Unfortunately JB been right a lot of times, so I
- 21:01Speaker 4: also don't like that for real. Well, let's look at
- 21:04Speaker 4: the running backs. Another one we thought we'd see Kyen Williams.
- 21:06Speaker 4: We still might see him. Obviously, he's probably gonna suit up.
- 21:08Speaker 4: He's really become a force of the Rams. Back to
- 21:10Speaker 4: back one thousand yard seasons, career highs this year and attempts,
- 21:13Speaker 4: rushing yards, touchdowns, tied for second in the NFL with
- 21:16Speaker 4: fourteen rushing touchdowns third in the NFL and rushing yards
- 21:20Speaker 4: only behind Secone Barkady and Derrick Henry. Kyrin also was
- 21:23Speaker 4: second the NFL and rushing first downs with eighty five.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Last time out against the Seahawks, he didn't have a
- 21:28Speaker 4: great game. I mean he was okay, twenty two carries
- 21:30Speaker 4: sixty nine yards, one reception for twenty six yards, so
- 21:32Speaker 4: Seahawks definitely helped him in check. But you know, if
- 21:35Speaker 4: we don't see a lot of Kien, we're going to
- 21:37Speaker 4: see Blake Korm. Now Blake Korm stand out running back
- 21:40Speaker 4: at the University of Michigan. Two time All American, one
- 21:44Speaker 4: national title, twenty seven touchdowns a senior year, set a
- 21:47Speaker 4: Michigan record. Third round pick for the Rams in twenty
- 21:50Speaker 4: twenty four, hasn't had a lot of burn the season.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Fifty six carries one hundred ninety seven yards, and John
- 21:55Speaker 4: McVay talked about it, We're gonna see a lot of
- 21:56Speaker 4: Blake Korm. So another opportunity for the Seahawks to continue
- 21:59Speaker 4: to in this season on a strong note, shutting down
- 22:01Speaker 4: the run like they've done honestly since the game against
- 22:04Speaker 4: the Rams.
- 22:04Speaker 5: Yeah, they just gave up so much to start the
- 22:06Speaker 5: season that you look at that thirtieth against the run
- 22:09Speaker 5: and you scratch your head. But they have performances. I
- 22:11Speaker 5: think that buck one seventy five was that against New England.
- 22:14Speaker 5: I think they gave up. That's gonna hurt. But Korm's
- 22:17Speaker 5: a good running back. He's just playing behind the third
- 22:19Speaker 5: best running back in the game right now, so we'll
- 22:22Speaker 5: see what he does. HOPEU they shut him down. To
- 22:23Speaker 5: talk about their receivers, Cooper Cup and Pook and the CooA.
- 22:26Speaker 5: They got two of the best weapons in the game.
- 22:28Speaker 5: I just mentioned him. Cup in the coop went healthy.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Cooper Cups one of the best to do it. He's
- 22:33Speaker 5: from Davis High School over here in Eastern Washington, then
- 22:35Speaker 5: went to Eastern Washington High School, set a whole bunch
- 22:38Speaker 5: of records over there, and he's one of the best.
- 22:41Speaker 5: He had one of the best seasons we've ever seen
- 22:43Speaker 5: out of receiver. You win that triple Crown and what
- 22:46Speaker 5: one hundred and forty five receptions, nineteen hundred yards, sixteen touchdowns.
- 22:50Speaker 5: That is something special. Jamar is gonna win the Triple
- 22:52Speaker 5: Crown this year, I believe. But it's rare that we
- 22:54Speaker 5: see that. I think only three receivers have done it.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Think it was him, Jerry and Randy Moss were the
- 22:58Speaker 5: only three years before that. Jamar might joined that in
- 23:01Speaker 5: that group. This year he was a first team All Pro.
- 23:04Speaker 5: They had five MVP votes. I told myself when he
- 23:07Speaker 5: had that season, if a receiver doesn't get it with
- 23:09Speaker 5: this season, he ain't never gonna get it. So receivers,
- 23:13Speaker 5: good luck. Team man just played for the love of
- 23:14Speaker 5: the game in that battle. But since that season, he
- 23:18Speaker 5: struggled to be healthy man. He only played thirty three
- 23:20Speaker 5: at fifty regular season games, but typical Cooper Cup style,
- 23:25Speaker 5: he had a big game last time he played the Seahawks,
- 23:27Speaker 5: and he's had a solid season overall. Though the last
- 23:30Speaker 5: time he played the Hawks eleven reception one hundred and
- 23:32Speaker 5: four yards. On this year sixty seven receptions for seven
- 23:35Speaker 5: hundred and ten and six touchdowns. He's missed four games.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Not a bad year for guy who's battling some injuries.
- 23:42Speaker 5: And you watch the film, he can still move. He's
- 23:44Speaker 5: a great blocker, he has good hands, he fills the game.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Still one of the best in the game. But the
- 23:48Speaker 5: numbers are going to reflect that.
- 23:49Speaker 1: No, Cooper's dangerous every timing steps on the field.
- 23:52Speaker 4: And while we're talking about Eastern you want to give
- 23:54Speaker 4: a shout out to one of your boys who broke.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Some recer sho is something less goal. My guy just
- 23:58Speaker 5: left the Florida to train for the NFL. But as
- 24:01Speaker 5: the single season record for receptions like one hundred and
- 24:03Speaker 5: twenty or something like that beat Cooper Cup, I think
- 24:05Speaker 5: he's like second in touchdowns, He's pretty much second and
- 24:08Speaker 5: everything else behind Coler Cup.
- 24:09Speaker 3: So makes sense by Afton Chisholm. Good luck, Go do
- 24:12Speaker 3: a thing, bro.
- 24:13Speaker 4: We'll see you on Sunday, hopefully for sure another danger
- 24:16Speaker 4: shepperend for this group poking akoa, but burst onto the scene.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Obviously one of the best rookie seasons ever in NFL history,
- 24:22Speaker 4: set a ton of records this year. He missed five
- 24:25Speaker 4: games to start, but he's just ten yards away from
- 24:27Speaker 4: another one thousand yard season.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 24:29Speaker 5: Since Week eight he missed five games. Yeah, that saw
- 24:32Speaker 5: some justin Jefferson stuff. Last year ten games thousand yards
- 24:35Speaker 5: as well.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Despite missing those five games, he's just ten yards away.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Like I said, But since we ate, he's first and
- 24:40Speaker 4: yards after the catch five hundred and one, tied for
- 24:42Speaker 4: first and receiving first downs tecond reception seventy five, and
- 24:45Speaker 4: second in receiving yards at nine fifty five. Last game
- 24:49Speaker 4: against Seahawks, though he was trying to square up, you
- 24:53Speaker 4: know what I mean, bobbing, and weaven not as much
- 24:55Speaker 4: one reception eleven yards, ejected after trying to punch out Tyrell.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Dotson, and we appreciate you for that.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what happened there, but he didn't
- 25:04Speaker 1: play and it didn't hurt.
- 25:05Speaker 5: He says, something. Puka's too too calm of a guy.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Dotson got under that skin.
- 25:10Speaker 4: It was weird, but he did get thrown out, so
- 25:12Speaker 4: the Seahawks locked him up.
- 25:14Speaker 1: When he gets for eleven yards, he's a problem. We
- 25:17Speaker 1: know it.
- 25:17Speaker 4: The first game against he burst on the scene against
- 25:19Speaker 4: the Seahawks and he went off that game, So we
- 25:21Speaker 4: know Pooka can do. Obviously, he spent a little bit
- 25:23Speaker 4: of time at b or Du before We're going to
- 25:25Speaker 4: byu on the year. Seventy nine receptions, nine and ninety yards,
- 25:28Speaker 4: three touchdowns. Also, I got a couple of other impact
- 25:32Speaker 4: guys tow two our albums, DeMarcus Robinson.
- 25:33Speaker 3: That's what we don't.
- 25:34Speaker 5: See between DeMarcus and DeMarcus had the gray one hand
- 25:37Speaker 5: catch and in overtime.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Right, yes, he did.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Last twenty receptions four thirty three, seven touchdowns. He's actually
- 25:43Speaker 4: leading them in touchdowns. I was surprised to see twenty
- 25:46Speaker 4: eight receptions, seven touchdowns. We know what he likes to do.
- 25:49Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 25:50Speaker 4: So yeah, no, you're right, these are the guys that
- 25:52Speaker 4: the Seahawks really should be looking into. Hawks have the
- 25:54Speaker 4: seventh best passing defense in the game, so hopefully Riek
- 25:57Speaker 4: one Devin Witherspoon, Kobe Bryan, Julian Love and high not
- 26:00Speaker 4: get some interceptions.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Also shout out to Spoon going to the Pro Bowl.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go Spoon.
- 26:04Speaker 4: But it's so messed up that I can't just be
- 26:06Speaker 4: happy for Spoon because now I got to get upset.
- 26:09Speaker 1: How and I don't even I don't want to cuss
- 26:12Speaker 1: on this thing.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Don't do it.
- 26:12Speaker 1: But how can Leonard Williams not be in the Pro Bowl?
- 26:16Speaker 1: This is madness?
- 26:17Speaker 3: You know what.
- 26:18Speaker 5: I blame the fans outside of Seattle for not recognize it,
- 26:22Speaker 5: because I know, dang well, the coaches took.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Care Leonard, the players to caro Leonard.
- 26:27Speaker 5: You needed that third the fans outside of this region
- 26:30Speaker 5: of vo for him, and they didn't. He had one
- 26:32Speaker 5: of the greatest games in a defensive lineman could ever
- 26:34Speaker 5: have this year. Seven seven sacks. I'm looking at Jaysen Carter. No,
- 26:39Speaker 5: excuse me, nine sacks. I'm looking at Jalen Carter having
- 26:42Speaker 5: a great year. Four and a half sacks, okay, four
- 26:45Speaker 5: and a half sex.
- 26:46Speaker 4: The thing that I don't understand too is Leonard is
- 26:49Speaker 4: we know the impact he has on the game outside
- 26:51Speaker 4: of sacks and QB hits and all that stuff. But
- 26:54Speaker 4: for anyone who's just looking at it the flashy numbers,
- 26:57Speaker 4: he's the best at He got the flash so how
- 26:59Speaker 4: I mean, it just doesn't compute. Dexter Lloins absolutely earned it.
- 27:03Speaker 4: We saw that first and foremost. But yeah, he'll probably
- 27:06Speaker 4: get in as an alternate. He will, But that's the principle.
- 27:09Speaker 4: The thing the same messed up anyway. Shout out to Leo,
- 27:11Speaker 4: Shout out to Spoon, Pro Bowl, go do anything.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Big ups people making a case for JSM. We're gonna
- 27:16Speaker 5: talk about him right now. If he were in the AFC,
- 27:19Speaker 5: he'd be a Pro Bowler for show. You got Zay
- 27:21Speaker 5: Flowers over there with a thousand yards to four touchdowns.
- 27:24Speaker 5: He has more than him. It's just you're over here
- 27:26Speaker 5: with the best receivers in the game. Justin Jefferson raam
- 27:30Speaker 5: a monra like mcglourin had what twelve touchdowns. He's another
- 27:35Speaker 5: conference he's in. But let's talk about JSM.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Man.
- 27:37Speaker 5: He became the tenth player in franchise history to have
- 27:39Speaker 5: a thousand yards instead a single season career high and
- 27:42Speaker 5: catches with ninety six four more. He ties the record
- 27:45Speaker 5: for the year in one season with one hundred and
- 27:48Speaker 5: he gets one hundred and one, then he.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Passes up our guy, Tyler Lockett.
- 27:52Speaker 5: He also has eleven hundred yards, eleven hundred and twenty
- 27:55Speaker 5: one yards and six touchdowns. So he also needs one
- 27:59Speaker 5: hundred and four yards past Steve Largin for fifth place
- 28:01Speaker 5: on Seattle single season receiving yards list with twelve hundred
- 28:04Speaker 5: and twenty five, and he's one hundred and eighty three
- 28:06Speaker 5: to set the single season franchise mark as thirteen hundred
- 28:10Speaker 5: and four set by DK Metcalf. I mean he could
- 28:13Speaker 5: do it because we've seen one hundred and eighty out
- 28:15Speaker 5: of him this.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Year against that same team.
- 28:17Speaker 5: Since team right, well, it'll be tough and I think
- 28:19Speaker 5: he'll definitely pass up Tyler Lockett. Yeah, and probably I
- 28:23Speaker 5: could see him with a good game passing up at
- 28:25Speaker 5: large and as well.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:26Speaker 4: No, I think everything's in front of Jason. He's had
- 28:28Speaker 4: an amazing year and it's just kind of toper the
- 28:29Speaker 4: icework for him. We've seen that. It's really cool to
- 28:32Speaker 4: see all the different guys that took a huge step
- 28:34Speaker 4: JSN Derek Hale.
- 28:36Speaker 1: So, I mean there's definitely a lot of ups to
- 28:38Speaker 1: look for the Seahawks and then his receiver made. DK
- 28:41Speaker 1: also has a lot to play for.
- 28:42Speaker 4: He's just sixty one yards away for his fourth career
- 28:44Speaker 4: one thousand yard season. He needs seven receptions past d
- 28:47Speaker 4: jack for sixth places on Seattle's all time receptions list
- 28:50Speaker 4: with four to forty two one touchdown. Also passed Daryl
- 28:52Speaker 4: Jackson for fourth place on Seattle's all time receiving touchdowns
- 28:55Speaker 4: with forty eight.
- 28:56Speaker 1: He's got ten exposed to play essentially.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Every single game he's played in this year, nine hundred
- 29:00Speaker 4: and thirty nine yards, four touchdowns. I'm hoping DK gets
- 29:03Speaker 4: it because this is always cool. It'll be another year
- 29:05Speaker 4: where we have back to back one thousand yard receivers.
- 29:07Speaker 4: For all the heat this offense has gotten, and obviously
- 29:11Speaker 4: at times they didn't play the level that they're capable of.
- 29:13Speaker 4: But there's a lot of good stories, a lot of
- 29:15Speaker 4: different guys balling out, so a lot to play for.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Still bump and I'll kind of let you kick off
- 29:20Speaker 4: path of victory and kind of let us know why
- 29:22Speaker 4: the Seahawks, Yeah, the playoffs are on line, but why
- 29:24Speaker 4: they're not just gonna go down there lay down path
- 29:27Speaker 4: the victory.
- 29:29Speaker 2: After forty five waits for the staff Plata Vicky puts
- 29:32Speaker 2: it down.
- 29:33Speaker 3: That kick is away.
- 29:34Speaker 2: If that kick is gone, good, say off Quinn, it's gone.
- 29:38Speaker 1: It's a pass to victory on Hawk Talk.
- 29:42Speaker 3: All right, man, we know they're not going to the playoffs.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Okay, last opportunity to play in twenty twenty four. Doesn't
- 29:48Speaker 5: matter who's on the field for the rounds. Throw your
- 29:49Speaker 5: water boy out there, he can get it. Don't matter
- 29:52Speaker 5: Los Angeles. You line up the hoss, gotta get it done.
- 29:54Speaker 5: If they do, like you mentioned earlier, that'll be ten wins.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Man. That'll be the record for the most swins by.
- 30:00Speaker 5: First year head coaching franchise history, passing up the great
- 30:04Speaker 5: Chuck Knox and Mike Comgren as well as Pete Carroll.
- 30:07Speaker 3: So yeah, there's something.
- 30:09Speaker 5: To play for individually for Mike McDonald, but the team
- 30:12Speaker 5: is a part of that too. You want to be
- 30:13Speaker 5: a part of history and just for pride. Man, you
- 30:15Speaker 5: don't go on a football field and not give it
- 30:17Speaker 5: you all.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Especially at this level, and I mean this in a
- 30:20Speaker 4: serious way. You run the team in two thousand and eight,
- 30:22Speaker 4: that wasn't a great season, not very good. But did
- 30:24Speaker 4: people just say we only want a couple of games.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Just phone it in. Nah, this is your job.
- 30:28Speaker 3: There's professional lives out there right.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Like, I don't know, man, It just sometimes they hear
- 30:34Speaker 4: that stuff and I go, come on, guys, that's crazy.
- 30:35Speaker 4: They got stuff to play for. They're dropping it up.
- 30:37Speaker 4: What I want to see offensively, I want to see him
- 30:39Speaker 4: get rhythm. I want to see him score touchdown in
- 30:40Speaker 4: the first drive. I'm tired of people talking about this stat.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Let's go down there, score touchdown the first game. It's
- 30:46Speaker 4: this entire season, so it's over that.
- 30:48Speaker 3: At least sixteen Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I think it's since last year or so.
- 30:53Speaker 4: I mean again, I want them to see them right
- 30:55Speaker 4: down the field, go ahead and score, take care of
- 30:57Speaker 4: the football, protect you know, Smith run the football at
- 31:00Speaker 4: I think can still happen.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Again.
- 31:01Speaker 4: We don't care who's playing for the Rams. They got
- 31:02Speaker 4: a good players on defense and a lot of those
- 31:04Speaker 4: guys will still be out there. So I want to
- 31:05Speaker 4: see the offense kind of get going early.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yep.
- 31:08Speaker 5: That's let's find a way for Gino, DK, Jayson and
- 31:12Speaker 5: Tyler to set some records.
- 31:14Speaker 3: They hit those incentives.
- 31:15Speaker 5: That's another thing, man, the contracts, man, they're incentives all
- 31:18Speaker 5: in that thing. I guarantee you I Gino gets the
- 31:21Speaker 5: franchise record for yards in the season paper, I guarantee
- 31:24Speaker 5: if JASN gets the single reception record paper.
- 31:27Speaker 3: So they got some to play for too, financially. You
- 31:30Speaker 3: want to see that.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Yeah, no, And it's a cool thing because you heard
- 31:33Speaker 4: Mike McDonald talk about it. He's not gonna do anything
- 31:34Speaker 4: crazy to get these guys. He's incentives. He's gonna call
- 31:37Speaker 4: the game. They're gonna do the game the same way.
- 31:39Speaker 4: But it's always cool to see your head coach who
- 31:40Speaker 4: wants you guys to hit those incentives not going the
- 31:42Speaker 4: other way. It says, hey, you know, I'm a bench
- 31:44Speaker 4: bump because he's close to getting you know what I mean.
- 31:46Speaker 4: So just a cool thing from the organization and the
- 31:49Speaker 4: coach of staff. And then for me, bump, stop the run.
- 31:51Speaker 4: You've set the tone this whole second half of the season.
- 31:54Speaker 4: It started against the Rams, so finished on a good note.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Give us some good momentum. Sorry, Ray heading in the
- 31:59Speaker 4: next year with the guys are gonna be in this team.
- 32:01Speaker 4: So I'm really looking forward to seeing.
- 32:02Speaker 5: Now, you can't win the NC West this year, but
- 32:05Speaker 5: you can beat the Rams.
- 32:07Speaker 3: They've won three in a row.
- 32:09Speaker 5: All right, so stack the wins starts now finished with
- 32:12Speaker 5: ten slap the Rams have them limping into the playoffs,
- 32:16Speaker 5: and I guess we'll watch after this.
- 32:18Speaker 1: We'll watch it.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Maybe they'll be with us in Cancun next week. Anyway,
- 32:21Speaker 4: So it's all goods up there this NFL season. Feel
- 32:24Speaker 4: every play, every hit, every moment with the Sony one thousand,
- 32:27Speaker 4: Next and five noise canceling headphones, the official headphones of
- 32:30Speaker 4: the Seattle Seahawks. With premium noise cancelation, you're in the zone,
- 32:33Speaker 4: no Distraction's just pure football, whether you're in your living
- 32:36Speaker 4: room're on the go, You'll never miss a beat with
- 32:38Speaker 4: Sony headphones and bump. Yes, the season is coming to
- 32:42Speaker 4: an end, we will still be back with you guys
- 32:45Speaker 4: regardless next week. Kind of put a boat on this season.
- 32:47Speaker 4: We'll wait for Mike McDonald's end of year press conference,
- 32:50Speaker 4: react to some of that sound, and kind of just
- 32:51Speaker 4: look forward to what the Seahawks team is going to
- 32:54Speaker 4: look like in the offseason and where they're going. Obviously
- 32:57Speaker 4: not the result everyone wanted, but they're in a good place.
- 32:59Speaker 4: They're trading four, so hopefully the Seahawks go out on
- 33:01Speaker 4: a high. Note on Sunday. Remember you can hear us
- 33:04Speaker 4: anywhere on YouTube, on the seahawks dot com, Apple podcasts,
