  I bring it up today because a couple of these baseball bets

  that I would always recommend betting to risk.

  Not betting to win, so you're always.

  Betting to risk? Like when you open up your when

  brought to the table. But when you're betting on your

  app, when you're betting on your phone and a legal jurisdiction,

  there's always those two boxes. It's usually the bet to risk and

  the bet to win, or whatever it you know to wager to win,

  whatever the case may. Be, but usually the.

  You want to risk. And then the right box is.

  What you want to win now a lot of people will just fill in what

  they want to win. And they'll just say, OK,

  whatever that cost, I'm going to pay for it.

  Other way and there's a. Reason for it you want.

  To start with the risk option, because when you define your

  bankroll, bankroll is the money you set aside specifically and

  only for betting on sports. Consider it your disposable.

  Income. It's your funny money.

  It's your extra money where if I were to RIP it up, you know,
• 4:18
  flush it down the toilet or light it on fire.

  Yes, you'd be mad, yes, you'd be annoyed, But your daily life

  wouldn't change at all. You'd just be.

  You know, annoyed you lost some money.

  But if I were to light it on fire, flush it down the toilet?

  And then you couldn't. Pay for rent or.

  So once you come up with your bankroll again, I recommend

  That's. Going to keep you afloat through

  the UPS. And the downs of sports betting,

  because we all know. Sometimes we can get hot,

  sometimes we can get cold and you want to be able to stay in

  the game. Long term, it's really weather

  that initial storm because. There's going to be those.

  Ups and downs, but 3% per play. Again, some pros are one

  percent, 2%. You'll be a little more bold

  So if it's $100 better starting, it's 3 bucks a game.

  If you are 20 bucks a game, you're always risking your 20
• 5:53
  bucks. And then you let that other box
• 5:55
  populate whatever the you know the the breakdown is or whatever
• 5:59
  that that bet to risk amount translates to in terms of a bet
• 6:03
  to win. And again, why do I bring this
• 6:05
  up? Because if you're betting
• 6:06
  favorites, it's going to save you quite a bit.

  For example, let's. Just say you have a -, 200.

  Favorite that you are betting to risk.
• 6:13
  That means you're just risking. Your normal you know. 10 bucks,
• 6:16
  whatever it is, and if the bet loses, you lose your 10 bucks.

  But if you were betting to win. That means you are risking 20 to
• 6:25
  win 10 and if that bet. Loses.
• 6:27
  You've lost 20 instead of 10. Basically, you've lost 2 units
• 6:30
  instead of 1. Unit.

  So the whole point is when you bet to risk.

  When you lose, you're. Losing weight less but then also
• 6:36
  you're winning more when you're betting to risk.

  So like let's say you bet a dog at +200 you're risking.

  One unit, you're getting 2. Units on the back, backside.

  So again. Always start with what your

  bankrollage is and again it's different for all betters 3% per

  play. That's your unit size betting to

  risk that means every game flat betting all the same.

  Now some people may argue and say Kelly Criterion if you're

  more advanced, if you have a pivot table.

  And you can weight the. Strength of your plays and you

  risk more on these, you're more confident.

  Hey, if you can pull. That off, that's great, but for

  the majority of us? Make it simple.

  Risking one unit and again. Because I see this a lot too

  like. You know someone will will.

  Bet a favorite at -125 and they'll risk. 1.25 units.
