- 0:27theresa croft: Someone may really need this message.
- 0:30theresa croft: So this episode is called the Calling Table Session series.
- 0:35theresa croft: I'm so excited about it because it's like a seat for Christian women whose story deserves to be handled with care and whose voice is ready to b- be heard.
- 0:45theresa croft: So pull up a chair.
- 0:47theresa croft: Today at the table is a really good friend of mine, I must say, Yari Garcia.
- 0:51theresa croft: She's a certified neurocycle facilitator, a pastor, a mentor, a psychology major.
- 0:57theresa croft: She brings a powerful blend of faith, neuroscience, leadership and real, real experience to the table.
- 1:05theresa croft: yari, welcome to the new series.
- 1:08theresa croft: So happy- Good
- 1:08Yara Garcia: morning to have you.
- 1:10Yara Garcia: Thank, thank you for having me.
- 1:11Yara Garcia: I'm so- It's
- 1:11theresa croft: a
- 1:11Yara Garcia: pleasure
- 1:12theresa croft: glad to have you here.
- 1:13theresa croft: So Yari and I, we have very shared values when it comes to kingdom and living- Mm-hmm your life authentically.
- 1:21theresa croft: But Yari- Mm why don't you give them a little backdrop of your story?
- 1:26theresa croft: Because you come from the ministry field, even married to a pastor.
- 1:30theresa croft: Tell us about that.
- 1:33Yara Garcia: Well, how long do you want the story to be?
- 1:38theresa croft: Yeah, girl, girl.
- 1:39theresa croft: Listen, listen.
- 1:40Yara Garcia: I'll give you the short version.
- 1:43theresa croft: This is The short version's good.
- 1:44theresa croft: This is just like, I mean, come on, I still have my mug you gave me.
- 1:47theresa croft: Be careful and you'll end up in my podcast.
- 1:50Yara Garcia: Oh, you loved it, huh?
- 1:52Yara Garcia: I'm so glad.
- 1:53Yara Garcia: I'm so glad.
- 1:54Yara Garcia: Well, thanks for having me.
- 1:54Yara Garcia: It's really an honor to be here.
- 1:56Yara Garcia: As you mentioned, we do have a lot of things in common.
- 1:59Yara Garcia: We share a lot, uh, not just of our core values, but- our friendship, this journey.
- 2:06Yara Garcia: Uh, we both have adult children, we're both widows, and, uh, we both have been in ministry for a very, very long time.
- 2:15Yara Garcia: And in this new season of our lives, um, what I am doing, as, as you know, you've helped me so much through it, but y- you are also, we are bringing, um, everything that the Lord has given to us, our gifts, the wisdom, his word, from the Christian perspective, a kingdom perspective, a powerful stance of what the Christian, uh, walk should be in this new season, in this new world.
- 2:41Yara Garcia: And, um, so we're bringing it to, um, to everybody who needs it.
- 2:46Yara Garcia: In my area, um, I have merged it with neuroscience, which, um, you know, personally trained by Dr.
- 2:55Yara Garcia: Caroline Leaf, she's an, an amazing lady, an amazing scientist, an amazing, uh, mentor.
- 3:01Yara Garcia: We- I have learnt how to merge, okay, how to filter through the cross the science to make sure that the science comes through, um, in agreement to our biblical foundations.
- 3:15Yara Garcia: Um, so that's where I'm at right now.
- 3:17theresa croft: So to, to build that in, to have the neuroscience- Mm-hmm your story, uh, to where you got there, is a real story that I'm sure a lot of people could relate to.
- 3:27theresa croft: Yeah.
- 3:27theresa croft: So tell us a little bit- Yeah about, you know, you we- you were in ministry, you were married to a pastor.
- 3:33Yara Garcia: Yeah,
- 3:33theresa croft: yeah.
- 3:34theresa croft: And just the real struggles there.
- 3:36Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 3:36Yara Garcia: Well, um, going through ministry, ministry, um, it's probably one of the most beautiful work that anybody can do, right?
- 3:44Yara Garcia: Mm.
- 3:44Yara Garcia: Being called.
- 3:45Yara Garcia: That's good.
- 3:45Yara Garcia: 'Cause I personally didn't volunteer.
- 3:47Yara Garcia: Um, you know, it takes real guts to be in ministry- to volunteer and say,"That's what I want." Uh, but when you're called you know it, and you can't- Yeah run away from it.
- 3:55Yara Garcia: So I married a wonderful man, and, uh, he was, comes from a, a m- ministry family, and, uh, we were in ministry together.
- 4:04Yara Garcia: Um, then after seven years of our marriage, he got diagnosed with cancer.
- 4:11Yara Garcia: Mm.
- 4:11Yara Garcia: And after that, um- Uh, when he passed, then I continued.
- 4:17Yara Garcia: The Lord had called me to continue.
- 4:18Yara Garcia: So maybe 14, 16 years into the prophetic ministry, the apostolic, the prophetic ministry.
- 4:26Yara Garcia: Um, during that time, of course, through the grieving, through the work, through the many, uh, challenges within the institutions, right, w- within the organization, uh, I was clinically diagnosed with clinical depression- Hmm.
- 4:41theresa croft: Wow
- 4:41Yara Garcia: and ADHD, which, you know, the ADHD I knew since I was very little.
- 4:46Yara Garcia: We just didn't have words for it.
- 4:48Yara Garcia: And of course, as women, we don't, uh, show it like, like, like boys did.
- 4:54Yara Garcia: Um, so all of that, uh, has taught me a lot.
- 5:00theresa croft: Yeah.
- 5:00Yara Garcia: Has taught me a lot, uh, especially being in ministry, that, um, prayer is powerful.
- 5:06theresa croft: Hmm.
- 5:06Yara Garcia: But, um, when the Lord gives us the science, the wisdom that does come from it- Yeah it's even more powerful.
- 5:15Yara Garcia: When I started Going through the neurocycle, the Dr.
- 5:21Yara Garcia: Leaf stuff, that's when the most major shifts happened.
- 5:27Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 5:27Yara Garcia: Because it was the renewing of the mind, like Ro- Yeah Romans talks about, right?
- 5:31Yara Garcia: And it wasn't just repeating Romans, it was actually learning to do the hard work that- Yes that we are responsible to do, that oftentimes in our helpless state we want the Lord to do it for us.
- 5:44Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 5:44Yara Garcia: Um, but actually putting in the work, which you know it's hard work.
- 5:48Yara Garcia: Yourself, you're a neurocycler.
- 5:50Yara Garcia: Um, it actually does do the biological, the physical changes, right?
- 5:55Yara Garcia: And it's what the Lord has been telling us all over, all- Yeah all this time through scripture.
- 6:02Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 6:02Yara Garcia: So yeah, that's, the, I, I think that's, um, a little bit of, of my story.
- 6:06theresa croft: So did the neurocycle process help you with the depression or is that, was that just- Absolutely digging in with Oh, it did.
- 6:13theresa croft: Okay.
- 6:14Yara Garcia: Absolutely.
- 6:15theresa croft: Yeah.
- 6:15Yara Garcia: Absolutely.
- 6:16Yara Garcia: I still remember the first time that I did the first cycle- Yeah of the neurocycle.
- 6:21Yara Garcia: I was like, I think it was I started and I was thinking, like,"I'm just gonna do this for the sake of doing it." Like, I- Yeah I wasn't gonna go too deep and I, I was completely hesitant about, like, ooh, going too deep and- Sorry.
- 6:35Yara Garcia: I'm outside.
- 6:36Yara Garcia: I'm so sorry.
- 6:38theresa croft: I don't hear anything.
- 6:39theresa croft: You are?
- 6:39Yara Garcia: You don't?
- 6:40Yara Garcia: Okay.
- 6:40Yara Garcia: No.
- 6:41theresa croft: You're good.
- 6:41theresa croft: 'Cause the gardeners
- 6:42Yara Garcia: are- She's
- 6:42theresa croft: got a Oh, and she's got a golf course back there.
- 6:44theresa croft: Okay.
- 6:44theresa croft: Now, if you get hit by a, a golf ball- Yeah I will be concerned.
- 6:47Yara Garcia: We got a shattered glass yesterday.
- 6:50theresa croft: Okay.
- 6:51Yara Garcia: Um, but-
- 6:51theresa croft: Oh,
- 6:51Yara Garcia: did you?
- 6:52Yara Garcia: The gardeners.
- 6:52Yara Garcia: Okay.
- 6:52Yara Garcia: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:53Yara Garcia: It was bad.
- 6:53Yara Garcia: Okay.
- 6:54Yara Garcia: So, um-
- 6:54theresa croft: I gotta interrupt you'cause you're being- Yeah very modest.
- 6:58theresa croft: I know this is part of your story, though.
- 7:00theresa croft: But when your husband died, many of your congregation followed you and became a church into your home.
- 7:08theresa croft: So-
- 7:09Yara Garcia: Mm-hmm
- 7:10theresa croft: there, there were so many hungry people.
- 7:13theresa croft: Right.
- 7:13theresa croft: But you, I'm sure you got, you had probably, even your kids were young then, right?
- 7:17Yara Garcia: Very young.
- 7:18theresa croft: Yes.
- 7:18theresa croft: So you had to- Right like, you had to transition into,"Okay, I'm, I'm really great.
- 7:23theresa croft: I love you guys, but I gotta take care of my own stuff right here." Is that kinda what it was like?
- 7:27theresa croft: I don't mean to go back so far.
- 7:29Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 7:30Yara Garcia: No, no, no.
- 7:30Yara Garcia: Those are in different seasons.
- 7:32Yara Garcia: I, I, I went through two, as most people, if you're in ministry you know it.
- 7:35Yara Garcia: Or if you've been live, if you've lived through in, in, um, in ministry in church, you'll know a lot of this.
- 7:42Yara Garcia: So when he died there was, um, we were co- uh, working with other, other, uh, ministers.
- 7:51Yara Garcia: And, um, there was things that happened, and then there was a church split.
- 7:56Yara Garcia: Okay?
- 7:56theresa croft: Wow.
- 7:57theresa croft: I didn't
- 7:57Yara Garcia: know that.
- 7:57Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 7:58Yara Garcia: So church splits are hard.
- 8:00Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 8:00Yara Garcia: Are very, very difficult, especially when you just lost your husband two, three months before.
- 8:05Yara Garcia: Yeah,
- 8:05theresa croft: no doubt.
- 8:06Yara Garcia: Um, and then I had a six-year-old, and then I had a three-year-old.
- 8:09Yara Garcia: Oh, wow.
- 8:09Yara Garcia: What I can tell you is that- Yeah in that time, my six-year-old, she still believed and held onto her faith even though we didn't get the results we prayed for.
- 8:18Yara Garcia: Wow.
- 8:19Yara Garcia: We prayed for healing.
- 8:20Yara Garcia: We prayed for their daddy, right?
- 8:21Yara Garcia: Right.
- 8:22Yara Garcia: And even though we didn't get the results we wanted for him- Yeah to be healed, um, then it was...
- 8:29Yara Garcia: It, it is still so amazing for me to see how strong her faith is.
- 8:33theresa croft: That's beautiful.
- 8:34theresa croft: Wow.
- 8:34Yara Garcia: You know, how strong her faith is.
- 8:36Yara Garcia: She was six, right?
- 8:37Yara Garcia: Um, my three-year-old was just at a, a different stage, developmental- Yeah stage, yeah.
- 8:41Yara Garcia: But during these situations, these hard situations in ministry- Yeah uh, where you see the, the, uh, like a church split or, you know, things like that, that's kind of like you suffer a divorce.
- 8:54theresa croft: Yes.
- 8:54Yara Garcia: And I often said that I probably grieved that more than losing my husband.
- 8:59theresa croft: Oh, wow.
- 9:01theresa croft: Wow.
- 9:01Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 9:02Yara Garcia: Um, that was- That's- very, very hard.
- 9:04Yara Garcia: Mm-hmm.
- 9:04theresa croft: I, I, I didn't...
- 9:06theresa croft: I'm glad I went back because I think, uh-
- 9:09Yara Garcia: Mm-hmm
- 9:09theresa croft: there might be some in, in my audience here that they've been through that- Mm-hmm church split, and then they've been- Mm-hmm through church hurt.
- 9:18Yara Garcia: Mm-hmm.
- 9:19theresa croft: And, uh, do you have any advice for someone like that?
- 9:23Yara Garcia: Honestly, Tee, I'm gonna say probably 90% of your audience that has been in church for more than 15 years has gone through this- Yeah and has suffered it.
- 9:32theresa croft: Okay.
- 9:33Yara Garcia: Okay?
- 9:33Yara Garcia: Everybody's experienced it themselves.
- 9:36theresa croft: Okay.
- 9:36Yara Garcia: Um, either losing a leader that they loved- Mm-hmm or being the one who has to, you know, step aside and part ways.
- 9:43Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 9:44Yara Garcia: Either way, it's extremely, extremely difficult.
- 9:47theresa croft: Yeah.
- 9:48Yara Garcia: I do wanna...
- 9:49Yara Garcia: Uh, if you asked for advice- I, I, I always wanna say the, two things.
- 9:58theresa croft: Okay.
- 10:00Yara Garcia: Do the hard work in healing the grieving.
- 10:03Yara Garcia: Hmm.
- 10:04Yara Garcia: The, the going through the grieving, okay?
- 10:05Yara Garcia: Hmm.
- 10:06theresa croft: Okay.
- 10:06Yara Garcia: And the second one is never depart from God.
- 10:11theresa croft: Wow.
- 10:11Yara Garcia: Okay?
- 10:12Yara Garcia: Never depart from your So don't question the foundation.
- 10:16Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 10:17Yara Garcia: Don't question, you know, the Lord, okay?
- 10:20Yara Garcia: Okay.
- 10:20Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 10:20Yara Garcia: These are relationships- Yeah that go through struggles, right?
- 10:24theresa croft: Yeah.
- 10:25Yara Garcia: Um, and, and, and, and it's, relationships are like a dance.
- 10:29Yara Garcia: You know, you give and you take.
- 10:31Yara Garcia: And, and it, we were wired for love and connection, right?
- 10:34Yara Garcia: Yes.
- 10:34Yara Garcia: So when there's disconnection, doing that dance of reconnecting is- Yeah very difficult.
- 10:40theresa croft: Wow.
- 10:40Yara Garcia: But it's very difficult to do it when there's, um, uh, abuse, okay?
- 10:46Yara Garcia: Hmm.
- 10:46Yara Garcia: Church abuse.
- 10:47Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 10:48Yara Garcia: It's very, very difficult.
- 10:49Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 10:49Yara Garcia: And a lot of people stay, okay?
- 10:51Yara Garcia: Um- Mm-hmm and, and then it just, bad.
- 10:54Yara Garcia: But when there is a splitting, you have to leave.
- 10:56Yara Garcia: So do th- those two things, right?
- 10:57Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 10:58Yara Garcia: Do the hard stuff.
- 10:59Yara Garcia: Uh, uh, navigate consciously, intentionally through healing and, and grieving, doing the grieving.
- 11:07Yara Garcia: Um,'cause you can leave people that you love but that are not good for you.
- 11:11theresa croft: Yeah.
- 11:12theresa croft: Okay?
- 11:12theresa croft: I like that you're, you're sharing from a story- Mm-hmm perspective that you've walked through it.
- 11:17theresa croft: And I, I just think that when you hear someone who has a story of walking through it- Hmm you really can lean in.
- 11:26theresa croft: And that's why I'm so excited about this series is just to share stories of difficulty.
- 11:31Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 11:31Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 11:31theresa croft: Um, so- Yeah share a story with me about the transition as your ch- You're a great mom.
- 11:38theresa croft: You're c- you're like me.
- 11:40theresa croft: Our kids are grown.
- 11:41theresa croft: Yeah.
- 11:41theresa croft: But what was that like being a single mom through those transition times?
- 11:46theresa croft: Ah.
- 11:46theresa croft: Yeah.
- 11:46theresa croft: Do you have a story,
- 11:48Yara Garcia: Yara?
- 11:49Yara Garcia: I have many stories.
- 11:51Yara Garcia: Oh, my goodness, right?
- 11:53Yara Garcia: So as a single mom- Yeah um, I, I, I'm gonna say that very difficult.
- 12:01Yara Garcia: Very, very hard.
- 12:02Yara Garcia: Um- Hmm because you're grieving.
- 12:04Yara Garcia: You're hurting.
- 12:05Yara Garcia: You still gotta do the job the Lord called you.
- 12:08Yara Garcia: The Lord has, um, given you that responsibility, right?
- 12:12Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 12:13Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 12:13Yara Garcia: Um, but then you also have your children.
- 12:15theresa croft: Hmm.
- 12:16Yara Garcia: Um, it's, it's incredible to see that- I rem- I still remember, I was telling somebody yesterday.
- 12:24Yara Garcia: I still remember the days that I used to cry and say,"I just want five years to go by- Aw to make sure that my kids were gonna be okay." And then I was thinking like,"I just want 10 years to go by," just that I wanted the certainty to know that my kids were gonna be okay.
- 12:40theresa croft: Yes.
- 12:40Yara Garcia: Right?
- 12:41theresa croft: Yes.
- 12:41Yara Garcia: All the statistics.
- 12:42Yara Garcia: Mm.
- 12:42Yara Garcia: All the things you hear about that, um, that, you know, pastor's kids and kids in ministry, especially with no daddy- Yeah they turned out really, really bad, right?
- 12:54Yara Garcia: Um- That's so
- 12:54theresa croft: hard
- 12:55Yara Garcia: very, very difficult.
- 12:57Yara Garcia: Oh.
- 12:57Yara Garcia: So that was from my experience.
- 13:00Yara Garcia: Um- I'm blessed.
- 13:05Yara Garcia: I really...
- 13:05Yara Garcia: You and I talk about this all the time.
- 13:07Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 13:07Yara Garcia: I am really blessed.
- 13:08Yara Garcia: I have incredible children.
- 13:10Yara Garcia: You do.
- 13:10Yara Garcia: Right?
- 13:10Yara Garcia: They walked.
- 13:11Yara Garcia: You do.
- 13:12Yara Garcia: They walked through the hardships.
- 13:14Yara Garcia: They walk through the, um, the faith.
- 13:18Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 13:18Yara Garcia: And fate, right?
- 13:19Yara Garcia: Um, but I do have to say that Even through, I think the, the church split for my son, for the younger one-
- 13:27theresa croft: Mm.
- 13:27theresa croft: Yeah
- 13:28Yara Garcia: this was family.
- 13:29theresa croft: Wow.
- 13:29Yara Garcia: So they didn't have a dad, but they had family.
- 13:32theresa croft: Wow.
- 13:33Yara Garcia: Right?
- 13:33Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 13:33Yara Garcia: And, and, and losing that was, was, was difficult.
- 13:38Yara Garcia: Mm-hmm.
- 13:38Yara Garcia: But he's also very emotionally strong.
- 13:42Yara Garcia: He, he's a- Yeah both kids are emotionally strong.
- 13:46Yara Garcia: Um, I was a tough mom too.
- 13:49Yara Garcia: Like, I was tough.
- 13:50Yara Garcia: I'm sure you were.
- 13:50Yara Garcia: You know me already.
- 13:51Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 13:52Yara Garcia: You- You do know me, right?
- 13:53Yara Garcia: Oh, I'm sure you were amazing.
- 13:53Yara Garcia: My daughter will say, my daughter says,"Mom, a lot of these kids need Yada's boot camp,"'cause I was very hard.
- 14:00Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 14:00Yara Garcia: I would often have, like, my spiritual leaders say,"Yada, as hard as you are on your kids, can you do that with people at the church?""'Cause you're a lot more lenient," right?
- 14:08Yara Garcia: Oh, I love that.
- 14:09Yara Garcia: I was very, um...
- 14:11Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 14:11Yara Garcia: And they're both great kids.
- 14:13Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 14:13Yara Garcia: They're hardworking, they're smart.
- 14:14Yara Garcia: They're emotionally intelligent.
- 14:16theresa croft: That's
- 14:16Yara Garcia: so good.
- 14:17theresa croft: Okay?
- 14:17theresa croft: Yeah.
- 14:17Yara Garcia: Um, and they also still have a very strong Christian foundation.
- 14:22theresa croft: Yeah.
- 14:23Yara Garcia: Um, they're not perfect,'cause nobody is, right?
- 14:26Yara Garcia: That's really good.
- 14:26Yara Garcia: Um, but parenting, girl, it is the toughest thing- in the world.
- 14:31theresa croft: Oh,
- 14:31Yara Garcia: darling.
- 14:31Yara Garcia: Um- Oh you know.
- 14:33theresa croft: You just
- 14:33Yara Garcia: love and smile.
- 14:34Yara Garcia: My sister and I talk about this all the time.
- 14:35Yara Garcia: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:36Yara Garcia: Because I will not romanticize parenting.
- 14:38Yara Garcia: No.
- 14:38Yara Garcia: Like, ladies, you wanna have kids, it's wonderful.
- 14:41Yara Garcia: I love my kids, but make sure you pick a right father for your children.
- 14:46Yara Garcia: Mm, yeah.
- 14:47Yara Garcia: A right partner,'cause doing it alone, it's the hardest thing ever.
- 14:51Yara Garcia: You, we were- Yeah we were not supposed to do it alone.
- 14:53Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 14:53Yara Garcia: And we have so many moms out there, right, who are doing it alone.
- 14:57Yara Garcia: It's very, very hard.
- 15:00theresa croft: Yes.
- 15:00Yara Garcia: Uh, financially, physically.
- 15:02Yara Garcia: You know, physically, do you have to work?
- 15:04Yara Garcia: Do you have to take care of the house?
- 15:05Yara Garcia: Oh, and the holidays, and the vacations, and the ministry.
- 15:08Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 15:08Yara Garcia: And your job, and it's just a lot, right?
- 15:11theresa croft: A lot, yeah.
- 15:12Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 15:12Yara Garcia: That's right.
- 15:12Yara Garcia: So parenting is one of those things that I am, was very intentional.
- 15:19theresa croft: Yeah.
- 15:19Yara Garcia: Very, very intentional.
- 15:21Yara Garcia: Um- Yeah and I'm blessed we ha- I have great kids.
- 15:24Yara Garcia: They're wonderful.
- 15:26Yara Garcia: You do.
- 15:26Yara Garcia: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:27Yara Garcia: They, they, they really are.
- 15:27theresa croft: Oh, as we come, as we come to the close, I wanna take a right turn on you.
- 15:30theresa croft: Okay.
- 15:31theresa croft: And I want you to share-
- 15:34Yara Garcia: Girl, you and I could talk hours.
- 15:35theresa croft: I know.
- 15:36theresa croft: I could.
- 15:36theresa croft: I'm trying to, trying to keep these to 20 minutes.
- 15:39theresa croft: Yeah.
- 15:39theresa croft: So, yeah.
- 15:40theresa croft: Yeah, yeah,
- 15:41Yara Garcia: yeah.
- 15:41Yara Garcia: No, no, no, no, I'm,
- 15:43theresa croft: we're good.
- 15:44theresa croft: All right.
- 15:44theresa croft: So- Yeah you're a very successful mentor.
- 15:47theresa croft: You're working on your- Thanks.
- 15:49theresa croft: So, how about some business advice- Ooh um, that you would have for someone?
- 15:55theresa croft: Uh, maybe someone, they know they're called.
- 15:58theresa croft: You know, uh, I mean, God gives us that calling.
- 16:00theresa croft: Mm-hmm.
- 16:00theresa croft: You know?
- 16:01theresa croft: Mm-hmm.
- 16:01theresa croft: But how do you move from the calling to actually putting pieces together to have something to offer?
- 16:07theresa croft: And I'm not talking for free.
- 16:09theresa croft: I mean, we're talking kingdom business.
- 16:11theresa croft: What, any, uh, anything you would like to say, as you've been in business for quite some time, and you've helped countless number of people- with your neurocycle business.
- 16:22theresa croft: She's laughing'cause not for free.
- 16:22theresa croft: It's g-
- 16:25Yara Garcia: not gonna be for free anymore.
- 16:27Yara Garcia: Well.
- 16:27Yara Garcia: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:28theresa croft: Um-
- 16:28Yara Garcia: So- Yeah, talk to me that's a great question.
- 16:30Yara Garcia: Thank you.
- 16:31Yara Garcia: Thank you for, for mentioning that.
- 16:33Yara Garcia: And I do wanna encourage, uh, your listeners.
- 16:36Yara Garcia: I know you have a huge following, and, and i- i- it is very hard, okay, um, to learn.
- 16:46Yara Garcia: As a minister or as a Christian woman, we're just so programmed, and we're just disposed to giving and to serving.
- 16:54Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 16:54Yara Garcia: Sure.
- 16:54Yara Garcia: Right?
- 16:55Yara Garcia: Then when we transition from that to a business, the, the, the charging, right, the how much do you charge, um, because people that know you are expecting to get it for free, and that means your time, your energy, and your resources, right?
- 17:17Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 17:17Yara Garcia: So transitioning into independent business, um, from ministry, you know, and then thank God, you know, like, my kids are, are, uh, on their own.
- 17:27Yara Garcia: Not on their own right now, but you know, I'm an empty nester.
- 17:29Yara Garcia: Um, it's a, it's a, it's a great time.
- 17:33Yara Garcia: Um, know your value.
- 17:35theresa croft: Mm.
- 17:36Yara Garcia: Okay?
- 17:36Yara Garcia: Mm.
- 17:36Yara Garcia: K- knowing, knowing your value.
- 17:38Yara Garcia: That's good.
- 17:39Yara Garcia: Uh, do the hard work.
- 17:40Yara Garcia: Do the hard work.
- 17:41Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 17:41Yara Garcia: Do the hard work of learning how to set, uh, uh, healthy boundaries, okay- Yeah with yourself.
- 17:48Yara Garcia: Because just because you can give it doesn't mean you should.
- 17:51theresa croft: Oh.
- 17:52Yara Garcia: Okay?
- 17:52theresa croft: Wow.
- 17:52Yara Garcia: And one of the biggest things that I, that I got and that I've been sharing with, with people recently...
- 17:58Yara Garcia: Is this too loud?
- 18:00theresa croft: No, you're doing great.
- 18:01Yara Garcia: Okay, great.
- 18:02Yara Garcia: Um, one of the things that I've been sharing recently with people is that when we do transitions, when we go through changes in our life, whether you're going to college or you're, you're a young adult transitioning to- Yeah you know, older or like us with, uh, empty nesters and stuff like that, um, the uncertainty will kill us.
- 18:23Yara Garcia: The- Mm-hmm we want to know the right way to do things, and we want- Yeah somebody to tell us how- Mm-hmm to do it so that we will do it, and then that's it.
- 18:31Yara Garcia: And it just leaves our, our person outside, and we're not robots.
- 18:35Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 18:35Yara Garcia: And the Lord didn't design us to do that.
- 18:36Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 18:37Yara Garcia: So the, the, the, the scripture came to me, uh, recently.
- 18:41Yara Garcia: Not recently.
- 18:42Yara Garcia: Like for, for a while, and it's been, um- You know that, you know that in neurocycle we're, we're really big about partnering with God, right?
- 18:51Yara Garcia: Yes.
- 18:51Yara Garcia: And visualizing, okay?
- 18:53Yara Garcia: Yes.
- 18:53Yara Garcia: So when you start, don't go crazy like,"Oh my God, what are these visualizations?" No, no, it's just partner with God.
- 19:00Yara Garcia: Take the scripture, right?
- 19:01Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 19:01Yara Garcia: And the scripture says that his word is a lamp to your feet.
- 19:05theresa croft: Amen.
- 19:05Yara Garcia: Visualize that.
- 19:07Yara Garcia: A lamp goes before you, and that is his word.
- 19:10Yara Garcia: Put his word in front of you- Yeah and it's going to bring light to the path, okay?
- 19:15Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 19:16Yara Garcia: You might not know from here to a year, but you're gonna know your next step.
- 19:19Yara Garcia: Yes.
- 19:19Yara Garcia: And you're gonna know that you're safe, and you're gonna know where to go and what not to go.
- 19:23Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 19:24Yara Garcia: And if something is in your way, the Lord is gonna show you to remove it.
- 19:28Yara Garcia: That's so good.
- 19:29Yara Garcia: So visualize that.
- 19:30Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 19:30Yara Garcia: Visualize and partner with God- That's good through the, the, the Word.
- 19:33Yara Garcia: So the L- his word is a lamp to our feet, and I think that's probably, um, a good tip, a good, uh- Yeah advice for women- I get it to go into business.
- 19:42Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 19:43Yara Garcia: But knowing your value.
- 19:45Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 19:45Yara Garcia: You know that.
- 19:46Yara Garcia: You have so much- Okay?
- 19:49Yara Garcia: So much.
- 19:49Yara Garcia: And just because you taught me so much, right?
- 19:52Yara Garcia: Mm-hmm.
- 19:52Yara Garcia: And just because people know that you have so much to give, um, it does, it, it does have to come with a price.
- 20:00theresa croft: Yeah.
- 20:01Yara Garcia: Cause I'm gonna tell you one thing.
- 20:02Yara Garcia: The people that have given my work for free are the people that didn't bring results.
- 20:05theresa croft: Yeah.
- 20:06theresa croft: That's so true.
- 20:06theresa croft: They
- 20:07Yara Garcia: did not invest.
- 20:08theresa croft: They do.
- 20:08theresa croft: So- It's, you know, and investing is kingdom.
- 20:10theresa croft: I remember a few years ago-
- 20:12Yara Garcia: Yeah
- 20:12theresa croft: I was listening to someone, and they go,"Putting out Facebook ads, that's an investment." And never looked at- Mm-hmm Facebook ads again.
- 20:20theresa croft: I, I ha- I wasn't doing, using Facebook ads.
- 20:23theresa croft: But the investment, and, you know, I'm gonna give it back to Yara.
- 20:27theresa croft: This lady, she, Yara is great with your mind, but she is so smart, too, with your business.
- 20:33theresa croft: She has given me some great business advice.
- 20:36theresa croft: Like,"Tee, I think you better...
- 20:37theresa croft: You don't need that." And, uh- So, I mean, we both have a f- a friend that we, we love and they shoot straight, too.
- 20:45theresa croft: Uh-huh.
- 20:45theresa croft: So I don't know where I'd be.
- 20:47theresa croft: You know, you mentioned how marriage and being single is hard.
- 20:51theresa croft: This isn't my place to tell my stories, but- It's okay wow, I can vouch for- Very neuroscience and- Mm-hmm uh, for a facilitator that's got that background.
- 21:01theresa croft: So listen, if you're really looking for someone who will give you a straight talk, help you with your mind- but also help you with your business, you need to go to yaracares.com and connect with Yara, because she has something that very well may be...
- 21:16theresa croft: She can tell you testimonies of clients where that was the moment where they got clarity.
- 21:21theresa croft: Clarity on their business, clarity on their family, clarity on their vision, their calling.
- 21:26theresa croft: And I, I think, I think God gives us a calling, and then He's like,"Okay, let's see what you're gonna do with that calling.
- 21:33theresa croft: Are you gonna invest?
- 21:34theresa croft: Are you gonna be faithful?
- 21:35theresa croft: Are you gonna shoot straight?
- 21:37theresa croft: Are you gonna charge?
- 21:38theresa croft: And then go at it, girl." So we have a saying.
- 21:42theresa croft: I always end this with a saying that we, you know, we believe the word.
- 21:46theresa croft: But we've had a saying that I think someone needs to hear.
- 21:50theresa croft: About the camels.
- 21:51theresa croft: Speak hope to someone.
- 21:54Come
- 21:54theresa croft: on, girl.
- 21:55Yara Garcia: Oh, boy.
- 21:56Yara Garcia: You know, um, there's always stories behind everything, guys.
- 22:00Yara Garcia: But, um, a couple months ago I had a wonderful client, and powerhouse, right?
- 22:06Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 22:07Yara Garcia: And as w- and as we're going through the neurocycle, we're going through her journey- or I don't know what we were doing, we were going through cr- um, coaching, she mentioned a, um, a scripture, and I was like, Lord was speaking to me.
- 22:20Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 22:21Yara Garcia: So then I'm like, this is something I have to share with my girlfriends, so which is you and Alana, right?
- 22:25Yara Garcia: Right.
- 22:26Yara Garcia: And it's the scripture of the camels are coming.
- 22:29Yara Garcia: Prosperity.
- 22:30Yara Garcia: Visualize that.
- 22:31Yara Garcia: Come on.
- 22:31Yara Garcia: Keep your eye out.
- 22:33Yara Garcia: Keep your eye out.
- 22:34theresa croft: Yeah.
- 22:35Yara Garcia: Be, be waiting for it, because they're coming, and you will know when they're here.
- 22:40Yara Garcia: So yes, we want to be able to share this word with your listeners- Yes, thank you with your friends, with your followers, that prosperity, the camels are loaded.
- 22:49Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 22:50Yara Garcia: They're loaded, and they're bringing good news, and they're bringing provisions, and it's a new season.
- 22:55Yara Garcia: And-
- 22:56theresa croft: It's a new season
- 22:56Yara Garcia: keep your eye out.
- 22:57Yara Garcia: Yeah.
- 22:58Yara Garcia: Keep your eye out, and expect it.
- 22:59Yara Garcia: You know, I will
- 23:00theresa croft: say something.
- 23:01theresa croft: I believe that, but that doesn't mean you quit your job necessarily.
- 23:06theresa croft: You know, I always think of- No I always think of Hollywood, people in Hollywood that are actors.
- 23:10theresa croft: Yeah.
- 23:11theresa croft: Yeah.
- 23:11theresa croft: They so wanna get a part, but what do they do at night?
- 23:13theresa croft: They wait tables.
- 23:15theresa croft: So- Yeah, yeah sometimes you gotta wait tables.
- 23:18theresa croft: I'm not meaning that literally, but just...
- 23:20theresa croft: But then you know what happens when you do that?
- 23:22theresa croft: You lear- you learn to manage your time so well.
- 23:25theresa croft: But if you're at that point where you can let it go, do.
- 23:27theresa croft: I mean, we need your voice.
- 23:29theresa croft: We need your story, whoever's listening.
- 23:31theresa croft: So Yara- Yeah I so appreciate you.
- 23:33theresa croft: I'm glad you mentioned that.
- 23:34theresa croft: I mean, to be on- Thank you for

- 23:49theresa croft: What do you call it?
