- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:05Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Bill Handle here KFI AM six forty. Today we're doing
- 0:13Speaker 2: something a little different. It's the best of the bill
- 0:16Speaker 2: Handle Show. No kidding, that's different, the best of the
- 0:19Speaker 2: bill Handle Show. Give me a break from twenty twenty five. Okay,
- 0:25Speaker 2: we're gonna do two things. Yesterday I had asked and
- 0:29Speaker 2: to create a rundown of our show. Topic by topic
- 0:34Speaker 2: was what Anne does with me every morning, and she had.
- 0:38Speaker 3: AI do that. I'm gonna have her read that.
- 0:40Speaker 2: And then we went beyond that, and I asked Anne
- 0:44Speaker 2: and Clay, who happened to help her, is ourn image
- 0:46Speaker 2: you guy here at KFI to put together or to
- 0:50Speaker 2: have chat GPT I think is where they went to
- 0:53Speaker 2: put together this this segment and the I think chat
- 0:59Speaker 2: gp he.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Chose it and they topic.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Oh that the topic.
- 1:06Speaker 2: But that'skay, And so I'm going to be listening to
- 1:08Speaker 2: you to the same time you are. But first and
- 1:11Speaker 2: can you do the rundown? Do you have that available?
- 1:15Speaker 3: Yessoutely? Okay, real quickly.
- 1:17Speaker 5: I basically asked it to put together a bill Handle
- 1:20Speaker 5: Morning show one hour. So it went through the opening monologue,
- 1:24Speaker 5: hot topics, but then said handle it or not, where
- 1:28Speaker 5: Bill presents controversial listener questions, then deep dive in depth
- 1:34Speaker 5: conversations with guests, experts, Bill fixes it, and it's a
- 1:39Speaker 5: call in or submitted questions, Handle the heat, rapid fire
- 1:44Speaker 5: Q and A from listeners. And then the closing bit
- 1:47Speaker 5: is funny fake ad or weird law of the day.
- 1:52Speaker 3: That's it. Oh so they sort of mixed up handle
- 1:55Speaker 3: on the law. Yeah, this is what it pulled from
- 1:59Speaker 3: obviously the Okay, So now, and I have not heard
- 2:02Speaker 3: this before.
- 2:04Speaker 2: We are having artificial intelligence create a segment, this segment
- 2:10Speaker 2: of the show, which I didn't do, and I want
- 2:15Speaker 2: to listen to it at the same time you are.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Listening to it.
- 2:18Speaker 6: I really are you still talking?
- 2:21Speaker 3: No, I'm not saying a word.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Okay, this is truly manufactured by AI.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I had nothing to do with this.
- 2:30Speaker 2: All right, cono, Good morning world, or at least the
- 2:37Speaker 2: unfortunate part of it. Tuned in right now, I'm Bill
- 2:40Speaker 2: Handle and this is the show where common sense goes
- 2:44Speaker 2: to court, gets delayed for six months, and still walks
- 2:47Speaker 2: out with a parking ticket.
- 2:48Speaker 3: All right, let's talk about.
- 2:49Speaker 2: The big boogeyman in the room AI Artificial intelligence. You've
- 2:53Speaker 2: heard the headlines, right, AI is going to take over everything.
- 2:57Speaker 2: AI can write novels, AI can do your taxes. AI
- 3:02Speaker 2: can replace your therapist. Yeah, well guess what. AI can
- 3:06Speaker 2: also make a pizza, write a love letter, and steal
- 3:09Speaker 2: your job, all before you finish your coffee.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Let's break it down, folks.
- 3:13Speaker 2: AI is already replacing cashiers, paralegals, copywriters, customer service agents,
- 3:18Speaker 2: and get this, radio hosts. That's right, somewhere out there,
- 3:23Speaker 2: there's a synthetic voice trying to sound just like me,
- 3:26Speaker 2: except it doesn't need bathroom breaks, it won't unionize, and
- 3:30Speaker 2: can't be sued for defamation.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yet you know who's safe from AI?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Plumbers because until a robot can crawl under your sink,
- 3:39Speaker 2: avoid the spider nest and not complain about it. Wan,
- 3:43Speaker 2: the plumber still has job security. Same with electricians, roofers,
- 3:47Speaker 2: and whoever knows how to fix your Wi Fi without crying.
- 3:50Speaker 2: But you, you, with the marketing degree and the resume
- 3:54Speaker 2: that says detail oriented team player, You're first on the
- 3:57Speaker 2: chopping block. Now, Silica Valley will tell you AI will
- 4:02Speaker 2: make our lives easier. Sure, right after it makes half
- 4:05Speaker 2: the population unemployed. They'll say, this is just like the
- 4:08Speaker 2: Industrial Revolution. Yeah, except back then, the machines didn't write
- 4:13Speaker 2: poetry or flirt with your girlfriend. Let me be clear.
- 4:16Speaker 2: AI isn't smart. It's just fast. AI is a glorified
- 4:20Speaker 2: copy machine with access to the entire Internet and zero shame.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It doesn't understand, it doesn't feel, and it's sure as
- 4:28Speaker 2: heck doesn't worry about rent. Here's my advice, learn a
- 4:32Speaker 2: skill it can't fake, like critical thinking, plumbing, or saying
- 4:36Speaker 2: no to a meeting. Stop relying on buzzwords like synergy.
- 4:40Speaker 2: The robots already speak fluent nonsense and most importantly, make
- 4:44Speaker 2: yourself too annoying to replace. Loud, opinionated, unpredictable. Be like me,
- 4:50Speaker 2: because trust me, no AI wants to handle that. Here's
- 4:54Speaker 2: Amy King live from the KFI twenty four hour newsroom.
- 4:59Speaker 6: Here's the pasad in a Humane will be having an
- 5:02Speaker 6: adoption fair this weekend. With all dogs and cats that
- 5:05Speaker 6: are adopted, we'll go home with free food, toys in
- 5:07Speaker 6: a new bed for their new furry friends. It's happening
- 5:10Speaker 6: this weekend from ten am to five pm at pasad
- 5:13Speaker 6: in a Humane. This is Amy King. It looks like
- 5:16Speaker 6: things are getting crowded on the four h five. Let's
- 5:19Speaker 6: go to Will Cole Schreiber.
- 5:20Speaker 7: Yes, we have quite the backup on the four h
- 5:22Speaker 7: five South at sunset. Looks like a truckload of tomatoes overturned,
- 5:25Speaker 7: and we have a massive cleanup that needs to happen
- 5:28Speaker 7: pretty quickly. Right now, it looks like everyone is squeezing
- 5:31Speaker 7: over into the far left lane to pass. Bill Handle
- 5:34Speaker 7: is a stupid moron with an ugly face and a
- 5:36Speaker 7: big butt, and his butt smells and he likes to
- 5:39Speaker 7: kiss his own butt. With Southern California's most accurate traffic reports.
- 5:42Speaker 7: I'm Will Cole Schreiber.
- 5:45Speaker 2: At first of all, I didn't know Amy or Will
- 5:48Speaker 2: or part of that segment that is one hundred percent
- 5:53Speaker 2: manufactured by artificial intelligence, even to the point where at
- 5:59Speaker 2: the time that was put together, that was the traffic
- 6:04Speaker 2: at that moment.
- 6:05Speaker 3: And wow, but obviously it went off the rails at
- 6:09Speaker 3: the end there, because.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Will would never say anything.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Like that, No, of course not. You know, you have
- 6:16Speaker 3: to know that. You know that sounded awfully good.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Now you could tell it was a little bit off
- 6:23Speaker 2: a little bit, but it's getting better and better.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I mean, I was stunned at how good it is.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Will you know you were looking and going, oh my god, yeah, Amy,
- 6:34Speaker 2: what did you.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Think I sounded like a computer? Well you always do?
- 6:38Speaker 6: Do I sound like a computer?
- 6:39Speaker 4: Yes?
- 6:40Speaker 8: All right?
- 6:42Speaker 3: What Will said? Okay?
- 6:47Speaker 2: Fair enough, all right, we are done. That was fascinating.
- 6:51Speaker 2: That really was I I was. It was freaky, it was.
- 6:55Speaker 2: It was pretty good. That's a I replacing all of us.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And I thought I was exempt. Huh, there's no chance.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I mean, it's going to be coming up Monday morning.
- 7:07Speaker 2: It's going to be a lot cheaper to run this show.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I guarantee you expenses are going to drop considerably. All right,
- 7:14Speaker 2: he by am six forty bill handle here Today we
- 7:17Speaker 2: take you back through the top stories and well not
- 7:21Speaker 2: the top, sort of the medium stories and moments of
- 7:25Speaker 2: twenty twenty five. All right, a story that I looked
- 7:29Speaker 2: at when oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah yeah. I'm in
- 7:32Speaker 2: the middle of that one scoring a fake ID. It's
- 7:36Speaker 2: sort of a passage of youth, including my kids, party
- 7:41Speaker 2: yours because you're going to join a bar.
- 7:43Speaker 3: You want to go to a bar, have a good time.
- 7:44Speaker 2: You're seventeen, eighteen, nineteen years old, and you got to
- 7:47Speaker 2: be twenty one. So what do people do. They buy IDs,
- 7:51Speaker 2: That's what they do.
- 7:52Speaker 3: They buy IDs.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And it used to be pretty easy to fake an
- 7:57Speaker 2: ID for a couple of reasons. First of all, a
- 8:00Speaker 2: bouncer at a bar, well just it's dark, looks at
- 8:03Speaker 2: the ID, looks at the picture, sort of kind of
- 8:05Speaker 2: looks like you doesn't care. Well, the rules have gotten
- 8:07Speaker 2: really tight, and underage people in the bar is a
- 8:12Speaker 2: big hit for a bar. So now they're being more
- 8:14Speaker 2: careful and it's easier to see who has a fake idea.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Used to be fake IDs, somebody in the dorm made them,
- 8:24Speaker 2: or some somebody made them in a garage, usually some
- 8:27Speaker 2: young person. Today it is a serious counterfeitter because you've
- 8:33Speaker 2: got holograms, barcodes, laser engraving, you've got electronic scanners that
- 8:42Speaker 2: bars now use.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Not so easy. So what do you do?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Well, the fakes have to be created with sophisticated equipment
- 8:52Speaker 2: and materials, and Neil can talk all about that, not
- 8:56Speaker 2: that he does fake IDs, but works with the kinds
- 8:59Speaker 2: of sophisticated materials that I'm discussing here. So, Neil, if
- 9:04Speaker 2: you were to have to make a fake ID that
- 9:06Speaker 2: would pass Muster how difficult is that.
- 9:09Speaker 4: It's it's pretty difficult.
- 9:11Speaker 9: You would need you know, you can get laser engravers
- 9:15Speaker 9: and stuff like that from China for any you know,
- 9:17Speaker 9: that are inexpensive, but you need a handful of items.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Whereas before you could use a you could use a.
- 9:28Speaker 9: Black pencil, colored pencil and a razor blade back in
- 9:32Speaker 9: the day and you could forge them that you remember
- 9:35Speaker 9: when they used to shine flashlights behind them. That was
- 9:38Speaker 9: to see the cut lines because people would replace photos
- 9:42Speaker 9: with someone else's photo.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Nowadays, you need to be able.
- 9:45Speaker 9: To read and write a magnetic strip on the back.
- 9:49Speaker 9: You need to be able to read and write that
- 9:51Speaker 9: barcode you talked about, and do the holograms. I have
- 9:55Speaker 9: everything here to do it.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I could absolutely, I know you could probably pull it
- 9:59Speaker 2: up off and considering what they pay here, I'm not
- 10:02Speaker 2: going to say you do do it, but I'm just
- 10:04Speaker 2: gonna say it's a nice.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Nice street.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's where you get them down in MacArthur Park.
- 10:10Speaker 2: But you know, I mean there's micro printing data chips there,
- 10:14Speaker 2: as you said, ultraviolet features. It's almost like counterfeit money.
- 10:19Speaker 2: That's so difficult to print. So just a quick by
- 10:23Speaker 2: story I'm gonna just spin it off into a KFI
- 10:29Speaker 2: a KFI Premiere Radio.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Story.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I'm syndicated by Premier Radio. Neil was syndicated by Premier Radio.
- 10:36Speaker 2: So one time Rush Limbaugh was on vacation and I
- 10:41Speaker 2: was asked to fill in for him on his national
- 10:43Speaker 2: show and I lasted two days. And I'll tell you why,
- 10:48Speaker 2: because of a story like this. So remember Jenna and
- 10:52Speaker 2: Barbara Bush, the twins George W. Bush's daughters got picked
- 10:58Speaker 2: up in Texas and a bar with fake ID.
- 11:02Speaker 3: They weren't twenty one. And I talked about that on
- 11:06Speaker 3: the air, and I said that this.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Is what makes America so great because they were picked up,
- 11:14Speaker 2: they were prosecuted like anybody else. And if the sheriff
- 11:19Speaker 2: had even called up or the local authorities had called
- 11:22Speaker 2: up the President of the United States about his daughters,
- 11:25Speaker 2: or the President called him, he would have said them,
- 11:30Speaker 2: as President, unfortunately, that's not your jurisdiction, and we're going
- 11:32Speaker 2: to treat your daughters the same as anybody else.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Of course, George W. Would never do that.
- 11:37Speaker 2: And I said, this really is America great, because can
- 11:40Speaker 2: you imagine the daughter of the president of Columbia, for example,
- 11:46Speaker 2: getting arrested, being charged and going through the system, that
- 11:53Speaker 2: person would be killed. I mean instantly, the person would die.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And so I said that, and I said, this is
- 12:01Speaker 2: what makes America so.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Great, because the law really does treat.
- 12:04Speaker 2: People, for the most part the same. No one is
- 12:06Speaker 2: above the law, and not the president's daughter daughters.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Uh, not the guy on the street.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Who commits a crime. Well, and there's and there were
- 12:16Speaker 2: phone calls because that's what Rush Limbaugh did. I don't
- 12:19Speaker 2: know how many phone calls I got emails, I mean
- 12:22Speaker 2: in the thousands that came in handles a wild eyes,
- 12:26Speaker 2: wild ass liberal. He's just saying that because George W.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Bush is a Republican and that's the only reason the
- 12:32Speaker 2: authorities went after.
- 12:33Speaker 3: His daughters, because they're Republicans.
- 12:36Speaker 2: And I came back with, well, how about Billy Carter,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you know, who got nailed, or Bill Clinton's step brother
- 12:45Speaker 2: who got nailed.
- 12:46Speaker 3: You're just a wild ass liberal, that's all we care about.
- 12:50Speaker 3: That's my story of false IDs.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Just thought i'd share that with you, and it's a
- 12:56Speaker 2: make America great story because in most ways America is great,
- 13:02Speaker 2: and I think for the.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Most part, people are treated differently.
- 13:04Speaker 2: There are some exceptions like we're talking about, but for
- 13:09Speaker 2: the most part, it's uh, it's pretty good in that regard.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Law is held to a pretty high esteem here in
- 13:15Speaker 2: the United States.
- 13:17Speaker 3: And if you're going to want to.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Buy a fake a d I d Neil, what are
- 13:23Speaker 2: you charging these days for one? I mean, they're pretty pricey,
- 13:27Speaker 2: aren't they.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Hey, knowing how to be bad isn't being bad?
- 13:31Speaker 3: Okay, let me refrase. Okay, that's fair.
- 13:34Speaker 4: No, that's fair. That's fair.
- 13:35Speaker 9: I haven't had to forge things on ach, but it's
- 13:39Speaker 9: been for legal departments.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Actually, Okay, I get it, So let me rephrase that
- 13:43Speaker 2: because I was I said it wrong.
- 13:46Speaker 3: How much do you charge for fake ID?
- 13:49Speaker 4: For you?
- 13:50Speaker 8: For you?
- 13:51Speaker 3: For you? It's like it's like.
- 13:54Speaker 2: My friend, you know, my friend do Be who flew
- 13:57Speaker 2: for l All Airlines and I on your last flight, Dubie,
- 14:02Speaker 2: You've got to say.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna be going we're gonna.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Be at thirty five thousand dollars altitude, but for you
- 14:10Speaker 2: thirty two thousand feet.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Okay, enough of that, Yeah, yeah, okay.
- 14:17Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kfi AM
- 14:21Speaker 1: six forty.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Handle here KFI AM six forty. We're flipping through the
- 14:27Speaker 2: highlight reel. No, we're not, because you don't flip through
- 14:31Speaker 2: anything on radio, and they're the highlights.
- 14:34Speaker 3: I don't know, And there's no reels.
- 14:36Speaker 2: It's all digitally found in the bowels of KFI and
- 14:39Speaker 2: pulling out some of the worst moments of twenty twenty five.
- 14:48Speaker 2: And we are waiting for Petros to join us, because Petros,
- 14:52Speaker 2: of course, one of the sportscasters, extraordinary, probably one of
- 14:56Speaker 2: the well I love Petros and he's on a five
- 14:59Speaker 2: seventy sports.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Oh there you are, Petros.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Good morning, God Bell, how are you.
- 15:04Speaker 3: I'm good, Thanks for joining us.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I know you're kind of busy this morning, and I
- 15:08Speaker 2: have one question I want to ask you that you
- 15:10Speaker 2: know I'm not the maven of sports. You and I, well,
- 15:12Speaker 2: you have made a lot of fun with me over
- 15:14Speaker 2: the years about how I know so little about it,
- 15:16Speaker 2: But correct me if I'm wrong on this one. First
- 15:19Speaker 2: of all, the game, Saturday's game was the first full
- 15:24Speaker 2: baseball game that I've watched on TV in probably fifty years. Right,
- 15:28Speaker 2: I am not a baseball Yeah, that's a long time.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I've seen bits and pieces, but this was the whole game,
- 15:34Speaker 2: correct me if I'm wrong on this one. The Blue
- 15:37Speaker 2: Jays outplayed the Dodgers throughout the entire series. They were
- 15:41Speaker 2: just a better team, and yet of course they lost.
- 15:45Speaker 2: And I'm saying because lightning in a bottle in a
- 15:47Speaker 2: few instances would you respond to that, well.
- 15:51Speaker 8: That was some narrative from some of the bitter Canadian
- 15:55Speaker 8: types from the Toronto side of it after the game,
- 16:01Speaker 8: because the Dodgers just didn't hit well throughout, I mean
- 16:05Speaker 8: ever since the second half of that extra innings game,
- 16:08Speaker 8: all the way through. They just did not have the
- 16:11Speaker 8: offense that they normally have. And you could say that
- 16:15Speaker 8: the Blue Jays were stingy. You can say that the
- 16:18Speaker 8: Blue Jays were tough. You could say that the Blue
- 16:21Speaker 8: Jays were very stubborn as far as letting the Dodgers
- 16:26Speaker 8: have any kind of positive feelings or big innings. But
- 16:31Speaker 8: I don't know if you could say that the better
- 16:33Speaker 8: team because they I mean, it's a seven game series.
- 16:36Speaker 8: You have to win four games, as you know, to
- 16:40Speaker 8: win the championship. Of course, Dodgers won four. I mean
- 16:44Speaker 8: they won four games.
- 16:45Speaker 2: But let me ask you that if you have how
- 16:47Speaker 2: much much would you say is back to lightning in
- 16:51Speaker 2: a bottle where if you're looking at it big picture,
- 16:54Speaker 2: maybe I'm wrong on this because Caldro brought this up too.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Hey, you win, you win.
- 16:59Speaker 2: You can call it whatever you want, and you win,
- 17:00Speaker 2: and that's the better team.
- 17:02Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that can be an argument and certainlis with the Jaysay.
- 17:06Speaker 2: So in terms of magic moments, I've heard a game
- 17:10Speaker 2: for the Ages series of the Ages.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Do you want to come in on that and do
- 17:14Speaker 3: you buy that?
- 17:16Speaker 8: Yeah? I think that as we've kind of watched this
- 17:20Speaker 8: Dodger team over the years, our perspective has kind of
- 17:24Speaker 8: been skewed because you see things, especially in the last
- 17:27Speaker 8: couple of years, that you just don't see in baseball
- 17:31Speaker 8: that no one's ever seen a guy like shohey Otani
- 17:35Speaker 8: do what he's doing. And it's really hard to compare
- 17:38Speaker 8: it to anything because it's not something that's really ever
- 17:41Speaker 8: happened before. So that alone, that part of it alone
- 17:46Speaker 8: is pretty astounding. And then the factor in what Yoshinobu
- 17:49Speaker 8: Yamamoto did, which pitchers don't really do anymore, go on
- 17:53Speaker 8: no rest and get out there and look ice cold
- 17:57Speaker 8: even though they're in the toughest situation that you can
- 18:00Speaker 8: imagine in sports. That's the kind of stuff that made
- 18:04Speaker 8: it really special. And then an eighteen inning game, like
- 18:08Speaker 8: you said, an extra innings game. I mean, I understand
- 18:12Speaker 8: your perspective about the better team, but I work in
- 18:16Speaker 8: football and deal with coaches after losses all the time,
- 18:20Speaker 8: and everybody always says, well, if only this happened, if
- 18:23Speaker 8: only this happened. But what about this this was? I mean,
- 18:26Speaker 8: the margins are really, really, really thin when you're trying
- 18:30Speaker 8: for a championship, and we saw that very much throughout
- 18:33Speaker 8: the series.
- 18:34Speaker 2: When are they ever going to return to a player,
- 18:38Speaker 2: a pitcher doing all nine innings. It's you know, when
- 18:43Speaker 2: I started watching baseball. To give you an idea, the
- 18:46Speaker 2: last time I actually watched the game, watched the game
- 18:48Speaker 2: and went to a game and actually knew who the
- 18:51Speaker 2: players were. It was Don Drysdale, Sandy Cofax with the pitchers.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Jim Gillian was first, Mary Wills was shortstop. Seriously, that's
- 18:59Speaker 2: when I knew all the So it's been a couple
- 19:01Speaker 2: of years, but Dodgers, but pictures went nine innings unless
- 19:05Speaker 2: they were thrown out, and just imploding, why if they
- 19:09Speaker 2: do that anymore?
- 19:11Speaker 8: Well, this guy Yamamoto had a pension for doing it
- 19:14Speaker 8: in Japan, and then all of a sudden he was
- 19:17Speaker 8: able to do it this year. But it doesn't happen
- 19:21Speaker 8: anymore because pitchers throw a lot harder all the time
- 19:26Speaker 8: than they used to. They are always searching for something
- 19:31Speaker 8: they call spin rate now or velocity, and that leads
- 19:37Speaker 8: to more tired arms. It leads to a lot more surgeries,
- 19:42Speaker 8: Tommy John surgery. A lot of these guys have Tommy
- 19:44Speaker 8: John surgery before their career even gets started, when they're young.
- 19:50Speaker 8: And I think it's the pressure that we put on
- 19:52Speaker 8: the arms of the pitcher playing year round that they
- 19:55Speaker 8: play year round baseball, you know, in youth baseball now
- 20:00Speaker 8: on it it tires them out, and everything's just become
- 20:02Speaker 8: a lot more specialized. And the real answer, probably deep down,
- 20:09Speaker 8: is that everybody's a lot softer than they used to be.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I'll buy that.
- 20:15Speaker 2: And you know, short of either a no hitter or
- 20:17Speaker 2: a perfect game, you're just not going to see a
- 20:19Speaker 2: pitcher go all the way, is that correct?
- 20:21Speaker 8: You just well, you see it. But it just happens
- 20:24Speaker 8: a lot less, probably seventy five percent less of the
- 20:28Speaker 8: time than it used to although maybe with the way
- 20:32Speaker 8: that Yamamoto performed in this World series, maybe you'll see
- 20:36Speaker 8: a trend go back to that. I mean, we've had
- 20:39Speaker 8: baseball for over one hundred years, and trends kind of
- 20:44Speaker 8: change and things kind of move, and we end up
- 20:48Speaker 8: going back to a lot of stuff. It happens in football.
- 20:50Speaker 4: Too, all right.
- 20:51Speaker 2: I know you're going to be really business warning covering
- 20:54Speaker 2: what is happening.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I just want to quickly remind you.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Don't forget your can of gasoline and your matches, Okay,
- 20:59Speaker 2: enjoy yourself.
- 21:00Speaker 4: All right.
- 21:01Speaker 8: Well I have that, and yeah, I have that, and
- 21:04Speaker 8: I also have my hairspray and my liner. So we're good.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Yeah, we're all good. Petros, thanks for taking the time.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Take take care anytime.
- 21:12Speaker 8: Bell. I'm here for you whenever you want.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I know, I love it. I love having you on.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I don't know why we don't do enough of that.
- 21:17Speaker 8: Alright, I handle on the news. I'll come back.
- 21:22Speaker 3: I love it. I love it when you do.
- 21:24Speaker 2: All right, so, Petro, so well, they'll be all day
- 21:26Speaker 2: coverage today on A five seven E l A Sports,
- 21:29Speaker 2: and obviously LA is celebrating in a very big, big way.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I'm not because you know eh, but this is a
- 21:40Speaker 2: big deal. Okay, I wanna yeah, a big deal.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Bill it is.
- 21:44Speaker 2: But you know it's a big deal when when the
- 21:46Speaker 2: Lakers win, it's a big deal.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I'm just not in I'm just not into that stuff.
- 21:50Speaker 3: To be fair, the Lakers haven't won much in a while.
- 21:53Speaker 2: No, when the Lakers did win, that was another one
- 21:55Speaker 2: when they were the dynasty that absolutely dominated, uh the
- 22:00Speaker 2: NBA or the LFB or the s whatever. And now
- 22:04Speaker 2: prey five am sixty forty don't handle here, And today
- 22:08Speaker 2: we're taking you back through the top, well, the medium,
- 22:11Speaker 2: the lower end, stories and moments of twenty twenty five.
- 22:15Speaker 2: I want to end the show with the concept of
- 22:18Speaker 2: space ads, a sky full of ads. Now, I'm not
- 22:23Speaker 2: talking about skywriting, which are ads up in the air.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Even those drones that fly around those are kind of
- 22:29Speaker 2: neat how they can. It's in lieu of fireworks. The
- 22:32Speaker 2: drones make American flags and you see all kinds of
- 22:34Speaker 2: fun stuff that you can do with drones. But that
- 22:37Speaker 2: is near what's right on top of it's a few
- 22:40Speaker 2: hundred feet up in the air.
- 22:42Speaker 3: These are ads in space.
- 22:46Speaker 2: And there's a Russian company that's doing exactly that they've
- 22:49Speaker 2: actually sent up a prototype already. The company is Avant Space.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It has deployed the first space media satellite into Earth's
- 22:58Speaker 2: orbit and it's it's a prototype for a quote planned
- 23:02Speaker 2: fleet of small, low cost laser equipped satellites designed to
- 23:08Speaker 2: and here's according to the Scientific American And they described
- 23:11Speaker 2: it to emblazon the Earth's sky with corporate logos, QR
- 23:16Speaker 2: codes and other consumer cultural ephemera.
- 23:23Speaker 3: I even had to look that up. What the hell's ephemera.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Something it's temporary.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yes, that's exactly right. It's something that's very temporary, like fireworks.
- 23:32Speaker 2: And so imagine this. You're talking about looking up at
- 23:35Speaker 2: the night sky and it's only going to be between
- 23:37Speaker 2: this hilarious how they describe it between dusk and daylight.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Wow, really, thank you for telling us that, because up.
- 23:46Speaker 2: In the middle of the sun, in the middle of
- 23:48Speaker 2: the day, yeah, you'd be able to see it, right,
- 23:50Speaker 2: Thank you, you geniuses. So it's only at night, and
- 23:53Speaker 2: they say it's only going to be above populated cities
- 23:58Speaker 2: because the big concerned act is telescopes that would be
- 24:04Speaker 2: wiped out. They wouldn't be able to see the stars.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I mean, it's kind of weird. But that seems to
- 24:10Speaker 2: be the major complaint. Now a lot of scientists are
- 24:12Speaker 2: a little upset about this, having these giant billboards up
- 24:15Speaker 2: in the sky, and I'm talking about filling the sky up.
- 24:20Speaker 3: And it's cheap too. They're saying sixty five million dollars.
- 24:23Speaker 2: They can put these puppies up and make a bucket
- 24:27Speaker 2: of money.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Is anything stopping them? Is there a los stopping them?
- 24:30Speaker 3: Absolutely not.
- 24:31Speaker 2: You know, space is internationalized by treaty. It belongs to nobody.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Now everybody has their own, every country has its own airspace.
- 24:43Speaker 3: But it only goes up to the stratosphere. After that
- 24:49Speaker 3: it's an open playground.
- 24:51Speaker 2: You can no one can tell anybody what to put up,
- 24:54Speaker 2: what not to put up. Elon Musk, now he is
- 25:00Speaker 2: because it's an American company, SpaceX.
- 25:02Speaker 3: He has to comply.
- 25:04Speaker 2: And if you're launching rockets off the United States, you
- 25:09Speaker 2: have to comply.
- 25:10Speaker 3: The FAA actually controls that.
- 25:12Speaker 2: But you go to other countries, they're by treaty, they
- 25:15Speaker 2: can do whatever the hell they want. And that is
- 25:17Speaker 2: the fear, and scientists are going nuts. Can you imagine
- 25:21Speaker 2: you walk out? Not that we don't have a lot
- 25:25Speaker 2: of pollution with billboards already as you drive down the street.
- 25:29Speaker 2: But you look up and the sky is filled with
- 25:33Speaker 2: effectively what these drones can do, and it's all pretty
- 25:38Speaker 2: neat stuff.
- 25:39Speaker 3: And my favor of it depends on.
- 25:41Speaker 2: What they show up there, to be honest with you,
- 25:45Speaker 2: all right, Neil, stop shaking your head.
- 25:47Speaker 3: We're done, guys, all right, thank you for tuning in.
- 25:50Speaker 2: To the best, the best, how is that possible? The
