- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven ten R. Well, hey, it's Friday. A lot
- 0:10Speaker 1: of stuff to get to. There's these fake news. It's
- 0:13Speaker 1: really cranked it up, faking fake fake stories. There's a
- 0:16Speaker 1: fake story out there about ice detained a five year
- 0:19Speaker 1: old child. We'll get to that. We'll get to the
- 0:22Speaker 1: Jack Smith hearings. We'll get to how do you say this,
- 0:27Speaker 1: I can never know his name, Mackmood Khalid has been
- 0:30Speaker 1: thrown out of the country.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Get to that.
- 0:31Speaker 1: We'll get to Davos, Ukraine. Putin there's news. We'll get
- 0:36Speaker 1: to Greenland and more. Now, as far as the storm,
- 0:40Speaker 1: this is the first real, big, huge test of Mam
- 0:44Speaker 1: Donnie as mayor. This has happened in the past where
- 0:48Speaker 1: a new mayor came in I think with Lindsay and
- 0:51Speaker 1: as soon as he got there a major snowstorm and
- 0:54Speaker 1: he was unable to get the streets cleared, especially in
- 0:56Speaker 1: the outer boroughs, and it really hurt him. So we'll
- 0:59Speaker 1: see Mom Donnie has already got he's doing these press
- 1:03Speaker 1: conferences where he puts on the snow jacket, you know,
- 1:05Speaker 1: the you know that field jacket, that windbreaker thing where
- 1:09Speaker 1: it says mayor on it. It's got a big logo
- 1:12Speaker 1: on the side. So now here's the good news. This
- 1:16Speaker 1: kind of stuff is usually handled by the director of
- 1:19Speaker 1: emergency Management. That's who's going to do this well. Luckily,
- 1:24Speaker 1: the director of emer emergency Management, who's been there for years,
- 1:28Speaker 1: he is leaving. He gave his resignation, but he's got
- 1:31Speaker 1: two weeks left so he'll be there for this storm,
- 1:34Speaker 1: so he'll be handling it. And the team under him
- 1:37Speaker 1: is deputy emergency management. People are all pretty good, so
- 1:42Speaker 1: that's a good sign. Mam Donnie knows it's a big test,
- 1:45Speaker 1: so he'll.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Rely on them. Let them do what they have to do.
- 1:48Speaker 1: The storm will start overnight Saturday, could be as early
- 1:53Speaker 1: as one am. Looks more now like four am. The
- 1:55Speaker 1: snow will start Saturday night four am into Sunday. It
- 2:00Speaker 1: will snow all day Sunday. It will not stop, continuous
- 2:05Speaker 1: snow all day Sunday Sunday night. It'll end Monday morning.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You might get a little return to snows a couple
- 2:13Speaker 1: of times in the afternoon. When it's all over, it
- 2:16Speaker 1: could be four to twelve inches. There's about six different
- 2:20Speaker 1: models you could use on this that show every range
- 2:23Speaker 1: from four to six four to twelve most likely, six
- 2:27Speaker 1: to eight inches most likely. And now as far as
- 2:32Speaker 1: school on Monday, I don't know. Here in New York City,
- 2:36Speaker 1: Director of Emergency Management says, no decision has been made
- 2:39Speaker 1: on school on Monday. They'll make that decision over the weekend,
- 2:42Speaker 1: and if they do have to cancel school on Monday,
- 2:47Speaker 1: it's not like the good old days where when you
- 2:49Speaker 1: had a snow day, you had a snow day, you
- 2:52Speaker 1: had a snow day, you got to stay at home
- 2:53Speaker 1: and watch game shows on TV and that sort of stuff,
- 2:57Speaker 1: and you got to see the price is right in
- 2:59Speaker 1: that that kind of stuff. But nowadays, when there's a
- 3:03Speaker 1: snow day, they go to remote learning. They're going to
- 3:06Speaker 1: expect students to do the remote learning like they did
- 3:08Speaker 1: during the pandemic. Director of Emergency Management says they are
- 3:13Speaker 1: preparing for that, which means they have to make sure
- 3:16Speaker 1: that the server space and the power they need, storage,
- 3:19Speaker 1: all that bandwidth, all that is up to speed. So
- 3:22Speaker 1: they're working on that. But figure nobody will go to
- 3:26Speaker 1: work Monday. It'll be just now here's the other thing,
- 3:29Speaker 1: the snow all day Sunday. Let's say there's six to
- 3:32Speaker 1: eight inches. It's going to be bitterly cold. The temperature
- 3:35Speaker 1: will be like ten degrees twenty degrees. It's not gonna melt,
- 3:38Speaker 1: and it looks like the temperature will stay way below
- 3:42Speaker 1: freezing for most of the week. So unlike other storms,
- 3:45Speaker 1: there's going to be a long period of days and
- 3:48Speaker 1: days and days where the snow doesn't go anywhere, just
- 3:51Speaker 1: rock hard. And because it'll be freezing, got a big
- 3:53Speaker 1: problem with ice, black ice, all that kind of stuff.
- 3:56Speaker 1: So most likely you'll not go out Sunday. Sunday will
- 3:59Speaker 1: be the storm. Monday will be a mess. You probably
- 4:02Speaker 1: won't be able to go to work or do anything
- 4:04Speaker 1: as far as all the suburbs. No word yet on
- 4:06Speaker 1: the school closings, but it's gonna be a mess. Now,
- 4:09Speaker 1: we had much bigger storms than the snowstorms in the past.
- 4:14Speaker 1: We haven't had a big one like this in four
- 4:16Speaker 1: years where we got you know, six to eight inches.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It could be me more, but we'll see and again,
- 4:21Speaker 1: sometimes you know, it weakens, it shifts. That's why the
- 4:25Speaker 1: wide range of predictions now. Flights, it doesn't look good.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It looks like a lot of flights may be canceled,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you know, you cost your money. You have to pay
- 4:36Speaker 1: a fine or a fee to switch flights. The airlines
- 4:39Speaker 1: must of them have waived all that you can switch
- 4:41Speaker 1: your flight dates. I wouldn't be flying anywhere on Sunday
- 4:44Speaker 1: and Monday will probably be a mess as well. So
- 4:49Speaker 1: we'll see if they if they get on top of this.
- 4:54Speaker 1: The subways, the awful MTA director Jano Lieber saying they're
- 4:59Speaker 1: trying to they're expecting it to run, but there could
- 5:02Speaker 1: be Remember the last big snowstorms, you had some lines
- 5:07Speaker 1: that had huge delay, So we'll see.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I went back.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Somebody sent me this from nineteen ninety one NBC News
- 5:14Speaker 1: Jessica Savage remember her NBC Nightly News. Whole story about
- 5:19Speaker 1: global warming is so intense that by the end of
- 5:22Speaker 1: the nineties it'll be so warm we'll never see snow again.
- 5:26Speaker 1: This is all these climate change people from way back then.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Remember al Gore's movie An Inconvenient Truth? When was that
- 5:32Speaker 1: twenty years ago? Twenty three years ago? Get the movie
- 5:36Speaker 1: al Gore's movie An Inconvenient Truth. That's the climate change
- 5:38Speaker 1: movie where he told you all the things that were
- 5:40Speaker 1: going to happen, about the glacier melting and the Beach
- 5:44Speaker 1: would disappear. Watch the movie now, it's hysterical. Every single
- 5:49Speaker 1: thing he predicted never happened. In fact, just the opposite happened.
- 5:55Speaker 1: The glacier got bigger. No Beach, Erosi, nothing. Just go
- 5:59Speaker 1: watch it now and just laugh and laugh and laugh.
- 6:02Speaker 1: The good news. On Sunday, you're gonna have football. You'll
- 6:04Speaker 1: be stuck in all day. You got two big games Sunday.
- 6:07Speaker 1: So that helps President Trump back from back from Switzerland,
- 6:15Speaker 1: back from Davos, which he normally hates that it's a
- 6:18Speaker 1: bunch of globalists talking about climate change. But that's all
- 6:21Speaker 1: changed now. The guy that ran Davos for years is gone,
- 6:24Speaker 1: left in scandal. Now it's run by Larry Fink of
- 6:28Speaker 1: a hedge fund, Blackrock. So it's more what it's supposed
- 6:31Speaker 1: to be, discussing the economy, foreign affairs, that kind of stuff.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Things between world leaders. Looks like, looks like a lot
- 6:39Speaker 1: of progress is made on the Ukraine. At Davos, Zelensky
- 6:44Speaker 1: and Trump talked. And here's how bad the fake news is.
- 6:47Speaker 1: They never tell you what the hell's going on. They
- 6:50Speaker 1: only picked stories that fit their narrative or that'll hurt Trump.
- 6:54Speaker 1: If there's anything good. They never tell you about it.
- 6:56Speaker 1: They keep it from you. Great stuff happened as far
- 6:59Speaker 1: as you Crane Putin negotiating at Davos, and last night
- 7:05Speaker 1: Steve Whitcoff met with Putin for hours and hours and hours.
- 7:09Speaker 1: The meeting didn't end till three in the morning. This
- 7:12Speaker 1: may be the first you're hearing about it, because fake
- 7:14Speaker 1: news will not report this. Because it looks good, it
- 7:18Speaker 1: looks like progress. You'll never hear about it. Looks like
- 7:21Speaker 1: the President will stay in DC this weekend. No mar
- 7:23Speaker 1: A Lago. He is going to Iowa next week. Now
- 7:27Speaker 1: he's going to be doing this. It'll be kind of
- 7:30Speaker 1: like going on tour every week. He'll be in a
- 7:32Speaker 1: different part of the country speaking, doing a rally. Part
- 7:36Speaker 1: of the reason is they're putting out all these fake
- 7:38Speaker 1: polls about his poll numbers is the economy. You saw
- 7:44Speaker 1: a bunch of them yesterday. I think the Wall Street
- 7:46Speaker 1: journals summed them all up. But they're all fake poles.
- 7:49Speaker 1: If you look at the metrics, totally rigged forgot to
- 7:52Speaker 1: sample Republicans. It's basically they just sampled democrats. They didn't
- 7:56Speaker 1: use likely voters. They used what they call als, which
- 8:00Speaker 1: means they can pick whoever they want.
- 8:02Speaker 2: They can go to a.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Harvard and do it in the faculty lounge if they
- 8:06Speaker 1: want so totally rig poles. Why do they do it?
- 8:10Speaker 1: Because it's a great way to bash Trump. You put
- 8:12Speaker 1: out all these fake poles, you get a big prestigious
- 8:15Speaker 1: newspaper to print them all, and then every network news cast,
- 8:19Speaker 1: everybody can say the President's poll numbers are disastrous. The
- 8:23Speaker 1: public has turned on. It's a great, great way to
- 8:25Speaker 1: start that lie going. And you've been seeing major lies
- 8:30Speaker 1: this week from the fake news. There's been a story
- 8:32Speaker 1: all over the place that these evil, awful Ice people
- 8:36Speaker 1: detained a five year old and they show you the
- 8:38Speaker 1: picture they're surrounding the five year old. And this story's
- 8:42Speaker 1: been all over the place. Could anything look more cruel?
- 8:45Speaker 1: These Ice agents show up to grab a five year old,
- 8:49Speaker 1: this little innocent kid with the Ice agents. What a
- 8:53Speaker 1: horrible thing. Now, this has been all over the place,
- 8:56Speaker 1: the fake news, the networks, the New York TOAs all
- 8:59Speaker 1: these people failed to report the actual story. They had
- 9:04Speaker 1: a warrant for an illegal alien, a real criminal. They
- 9:07Speaker 1: had a warrant to arrest him. They went to get him.
- 9:11Speaker 1: They see him there he's with a five year old kid.
- 9:13Speaker 1: That's I guess it's his kid. Apparently it is his kid.
- 9:17Speaker 1: His five year old is with him. The guy sees
- 9:20Speaker 1: the ICE agents, he turns and runs and abandons the
- 9:24Speaker 1: five year old, just leaves him there. He runs from Ice,
- 9:27Speaker 1: takes off, vanishes, leaving the five year old. Can you
- 9:31Speaker 1: imagine that. I mean, you don't want to get arrested
- 9:33Speaker 1: by ICE if you're an illegal alien criminal, but abandoning
- 9:36Speaker 1: your five year old, so he runs off. They go
- 9:39Speaker 1: chase the guy, but of course some of the ICE
- 9:41Speaker 1: agents remain to protect the kid, and one of them
- 9:44Speaker 1: is holding the kid. Make sure the kid's okay. That's
- 9:47Speaker 1: the real story. They failed to report that. The other
- 9:51Speaker 1: fake story they've been putting out is ICE agents arrested
- 9:55Speaker 1: an American citizen, an actual full citizen, an American and
- 10:00Speaker 1: was arrested by ICE. Well, they forget to tell you
- 10:03Speaker 1: the rest of the story. When Ice they had a
- 10:06Speaker 1: guy who turned out it was a citizen, but when
- 10:08Speaker 1: they stopped the question and he got into a fight
- 10:11Speaker 1: and he punched the ICE agent in the face, they
- 10:13Speaker 1: forget to report that part. Now, no matter what's going on,
- 10:16Speaker 1: if you punch a law enforcement officer in the face.
- 10:20Speaker 1: You're getting arrested. Traffic stop. But whatever it is, even
- 10:23Speaker 1: if you were totally innocent and you just got mad,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you got stopped, and you punched the officer in the face,
- 10:29Speaker 1: you're getting arrested. It's that simple. But of course fake
- 10:34Speaker 1: news just unbelievably busy trying to hurt Trump. Hard to
- 10:39Speaker 1: run a democracy when you don't have actual media going.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So Jack Smith testified yesterday. It looked pretty bad for
- 10:47Speaker 1: Jack Smith. Pretty bad. Was a lot of people were
- 10:51Speaker 1: curious why he was so nervous. He was nervous, he
- 10:54Speaker 1: was squirming. And one of the reasons is to do
- 10:59Speaker 1: the dirty stuff that he does. The dirty work requires
- 11:02Speaker 1: a lot of secrecy. And this guy has been doing
- 11:04Speaker 1: this for years. He's a hit man who goes after
- 11:07Speaker 1: political rivals, charges them like crazy. He gets the convicted
- 11:11Speaker 1: of a million things. He's done it nine other times
- 11:14Speaker 1: with Republicans, and all nine times the cases were tossed
- 11:18Speaker 1: out when it went to the higher courts.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And in the.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Case of the Virginia Governor MacDonald, the Supreme Court throughout
- 11:24Speaker 1: all the charges and wrote in the decision this was
- 11:27Speaker 1: all clearly politically motivated. That's this guy's history. So why
- 11:31Speaker 1: was he squirming and so nervous. He's not used to
- 11:34Speaker 1: operating in the spotlight. He's used to operating in the shadows.
- 11:38Speaker 1: To do what he does requires hiding in the shadows.
- 11:41Speaker 1: That's why he was so nervous. It was funny watching
- 11:44Speaker 1: his testimony. He just they had a million things to
- 11:46Speaker 1: get him on. In every case, he just claimed he
- 11:48Speaker 1: did not recall. He couldn't recall. I don't recall. I
- 11:52Speaker 1: don't remember even when they asked him. There was some
- 11:55Speaker 1: funny business went on to make him this special prosecutor
- 11:59Speaker 1: because he did a special counsel. There's about twelve hundred
- 12:02Speaker 1: guys in Washington perfectly qualified. Why did they go halfway
- 12:05Speaker 1: around the world to the Hague to bring this guy
- 12:09Speaker 1: in because he's a longtime hit man. But it was
- 12:12Speaker 1: there was some suspicion about how he got sworn in,
- 12:14Speaker 1: how he got so when they asked him about it,
- 12:17Speaker 1: he claimed not to remember. Even when they asked him
- 12:21Speaker 1: when he got sworn in or who swore him in,
- 12:22Speaker 1: he claimed he didn't remember, he couldn't recall. He then
- 12:26Speaker 1: targeted all kinds of Republicans, including the Speaker of the House.
- 12:30Speaker 1: He tapped his phone. He did surveillance on the Speaker
- 12:33Speaker 1: of the House. Nobody knows why, but to get the warrant,
- 12:37Speaker 1: he had to write up a thing to the judge
- 12:39Speaker 1: and they found this, and apparently in the declaration, Jack
- 12:44Speaker 1: Smith said he believed the Speaker of the House might
- 12:47Speaker 1: be a flight risk. Can you imagine that it was
- 12:52Speaker 1: Kevin McCarthy at the time, He's the Speaker of the House.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Smith told the judge he's possibly a flight risk. I mean,
- 12:59Speaker 1: this is one dirty, sleazy guy. When they went after
- 13:04Speaker 1: Trump for January sixth in the hearings yesterday, his whole
- 13:07Speaker 1: argument was that Trump kept saying the election was rigged.
- 13:11Speaker 2: It was rigged, it was rigged, it was rigged.
- 13:14Speaker 1: It was that kind of talk that led to the
- 13:17Speaker 1: protests at the Capitol and the trespassing and all that.
- 13:20Speaker 1: So a couple of senators asked him, well, Hillary Clinton
- 13:23Speaker 1: in twenty sixteen was screaming all over the place the
- 13:25Speaker 1: election was stolen, it was rigged, Russia stole it, Trump
- 13:28Speaker 1: stole it, it was rigged. How come that's not the
- 13:31Speaker 1: same thing. Smith refused to answer that question, couldn't answer it. Hey,
- 13:37Speaker 1: Trump is Donald Trump is forming the Board of Peace.
- 13:41Speaker 1: One of the first task is fixed the situation in Israel, Gaza.
- 13:46Speaker 2: All of that.
- 13:47Speaker 1: The Board of Peace a lot of top world leaders,
- 13:51Speaker 1: business people. Trump has been named the chairman.
- 13:54Speaker 3: This board has the chance to be one of the
- 13:56Speaker 3: most consequential bodies ever created. And it's my enormous honor
- 14:00Speaker 3: to serve as its chairman.
- 14:02Speaker 2: It was very honored when they asked me to do it.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Yeah, of course it's his board, it's his board members.
- 14:08Speaker 1: That's why they asked him. But he's the perfect guy
- 14:10Speaker 1: to do it. The plan for Gaza wants you get
- 14:13Speaker 1: everything settled, is to turn it's on the water, as
- 14:18Speaker 1: Trump would say, it's waterfront property. He's a real estate guy.
- 14:21Speaker 1: This is waterfront property. He wants to turn it into
- 14:24Speaker 1: a booming metropolis with skyscrapers and everything in the world.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Money everywhere, money flowing in booming economy. Thinks that'll be
- 14:33Speaker 1: the answer to this.
- 14:34Speaker 3: I'm a real estate person at hearsh and it's all
- 14:37Speaker 3: about location. And I said, look at this location on
- 14:41Speaker 3: the sea, look at this beautiful piece of property. What
- 14:44Speaker 3: it could be for so many people. It'll be so great.
- 14:47Speaker 3: People that are living so poorly are going to be
- 14:49Speaker 3: living so.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Well, Yeah, you Palestinians, you're gonna get a Starbucks, You're
- 14:54Speaker 1: gonna get a Chipotle. You're gonna be very happy if
- 14:57Speaker 1: you play your cards right, and in an out burger.
- 14:59Speaker 1: It's going to be quite a quite a place. If not,
- 15:01Speaker 1: maybe just a shakeshack. But now one reason for this
- 15:06Speaker 1: Board of peace. Normally this would be the United Nations.
- 15:09Speaker 1: But for about fifty years, the United Nations has been
- 15:11Speaker 1: the absolute most useless organization. Does absolutely nothing. It's basically
- 15:17Speaker 1: a VIP lounge for dictators and communists. And Trump was
- 15:21Speaker 1: asked about.
- 15:22Speaker 3: It, We'll do it in conjunction with the United Nations.
- 15:24Speaker 3: You know, I've always said the United Nations has got
- 15:28Speaker 3: tremendous potential, has.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Not used it.
- 15:31Speaker 3: But this tremendous potential in the United Nations.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah, well, a little competition will be good for them. Hey.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Also, we're no longer in the World Health Organization. It's
- 15:41Speaker 1: a shady, sleazy, corrupt organization. The World Health Organization United
- 15:46Speaker 1: States is officially pulled out. It was basically controlled and
- 15:50Speaker 1: run by communist China. The head of it was a Marxist.
- 15:54Speaker 1: It was a bad, bad organization. So let China have it.
- 15:59Speaker 1: We'll still cooperate when we need to, still work with
- 16:01Speaker 1: them when we need to, but otherwise we're not part
- 16:05Speaker 1: of it. Hey, we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred
- 16:08Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 16:11Speaker 1: hundred three two one zero seven ten
