- 0:00Speaker 1: For all you made bastards Loving the Big Show podcast,
- 0:05Speaker 1: Get Up even Closer.
- 0:06Speaker 2: On Instagram, YouTube and tickt off for targets four to
- 0:11Speaker 2: seven every weekday on radio.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, you excited Keys on his countdown.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Man, how fucking good.
- 0:22Speaker 4: I was just meaning he's gonna get on the past.
- 0:24Speaker 5: I'm excited about that. Yeah, nice to know. I was
- 0:27Speaker 5: just told you so I'm going. And then he said
- 0:28Speaker 5: it was ship.
- 0:29Speaker 4: No, I didn't say it was.
- 0:31Speaker 2: It's about blind yes, and then not ship, just the
- 0:34Speaker 2: food's bed and the nice Jase if.
- 0:36Speaker 5: He enjoyed playing doubles, and he said no, it was
- 0:38Speaker 5: all right.
- 0:39Speaker 2: No, Well he wouldn't have because he blew the last
- 0:41Speaker 2: last year, because he blew the last seven points. Because
- 0:44Speaker 2: you know, fever one out there were ten five up.
- 0:46Speaker 2: We're dominating, weren't we, Jason?
- 0:47Speaker 5: We were made first of eleven.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yeah, first eleven, and then Jase went for seven consecutive slems.
- 0:56Speaker 5: Just started setting them up for him and he couldn't
- 0:59Speaker 5: help it. Yeah, it's funny.
- 1:00Speaker 2: What's good though, It's such good fun I love We
- 1:02Speaker 2: should be playing that against Breakfast.
- 1:05Speaker 1: That should be what we're doing. We should have done.
- 1:06Speaker 5: That should be me and you though, just based on
- 1:08Speaker 5: the cap.
- 1:10Speaker 2: But around Robin's singles all of that, you know, it'd
- 1:13Speaker 2: be great, see the whole thing.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Are they taking the table away today? I'm imagining because
- 1:20Speaker 3: giving away nice?
- 1:21Speaker 5: Yeah, but as soon as he's got to be there
- 1:22Speaker 5: for a month. So as we got back from Jason
- 1:24Speaker 5: blowing a seven point lead, yeah, he told me a
- 1:28Speaker 5: story about him being in the finals at his school
- 1:30Speaker 5: and beating a guy after he blew a nine point
- 1:33Speaker 5: It was.
- 1:33Speaker 3: A seven point lead, actually, keeping yeah, but I was saying.
- 1:37Speaker 3: It was a young fellow called Toby, and he was
- 1:40Speaker 3: really good at sports.
- 1:41Speaker 4: He was just one of those guys. He's only a
- 1:43Speaker 4: little bastard too.
- 1:44Speaker 3: And I've talked about Toby before, but he was ultra competitive,
- 1:48Speaker 3: like would losers shit on the soccer field if we
- 1:52Speaker 3: started losing, right, kind of character, but really good at
- 1:56Speaker 3: the same time. And I thought I'd already lost. It
- 1:58Speaker 3: was twenty thirteen, and I was like, oh, okay, and
- 2:02Speaker 3: so I didn't really care, and he just started getting
- 2:05Speaker 3: really wound up, right, and so I.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Just kept you didn't care. Yeah, I imagine that I
- 2:08Speaker 2: just kept playing that goes. I didn't don't even care fellows. Actually,
- 2:13Speaker 2: I had a similar thing, which is really weird. I
- 2:15Speaker 2: was also playing against Toby as my best mate in
- 2:18Speaker 2: the tennis and the tennis finals at primary school.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yes, and you had a thing where if you're.
- 2:22Speaker 2: In the final you could get you could invite a
- 2:24Speaker 2: mate out to be the umpire. Right, So the girls
- 2:27Speaker 2: played their gay or two actually, and the girls played
- 2:30Speaker 2: their final and they asked me and Toby to come
- 2:32Speaker 2: out and be the umpires, but we sort of fucked
- 2:34Speaker 2: around and didn't take it as seriously as we should.
- 2:37Speaker 2: So then we invited them out yet to be the
- 2:40Speaker 2: umpires for us. When we ended up in the final
- 2:43Speaker 2: and I beat Toby in the first set handily, Yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 2: and then I was up six five two I think
- 2:50Speaker 2: in the second for the win. Kisy and and our
- 2:56Speaker 2: mate Gretchen. She started being a real pain in the
- 2:57Speaker 2: ass with the umperor, very much mirroring what we done
- 3:00Speaker 2: against her. Yes, about taking marginally further, but I was
- 3:04Speaker 2: enjoying it because I was winning. Toby, on the other hand,
- 3:07Speaker 2: had an absolute shift and went in and told the
- 3:11Speaker 2: teacher and asked to have the umpires replaced.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Wow.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Well this resulted in a complete swing and in the
- 3:17Speaker 2: momentum of the match. Actually it was one set, and
- 3:19Speaker 2: I was like five too. The whole thing was one set, yes,
- 3:22Speaker 2: and that resulted in a complete swing in the competition.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And he beat me seven five. Wow.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Yeah, fucking Toby.
- 3:30Speaker 2: He told the teachers it was a shameful moment for her.
- 3:32Speaker 2: He may have won the match, but he brought great
- 3:34Speaker 2: shame on his family. The Wocky Big Show week days
- 3:39Speaker 2: from four on Radio Hiarchy, remember they Big Show podcast.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Nowadays you don't get to tell on someone as much
- 3:48Speaker 5: I could, So, for example, could I go tell like
- 3:51Speaker 5: Todd for example, Yeah, tell on you guys for being
- 3:54Speaker 5: mean to me.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Absolutely, he wouldn't care.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Well, even if he did, he wouldn't know really not
- 3:58Speaker 5: to do.
- 3:59Speaker 1: No.
- 4:00Speaker 5: But like, you don't get to tell on people as
- 4:02Speaker 5: much as you used to.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Well, it's interesting because you do get a great a
- 4:06Speaker 2: lot of opportunities to talk to management, which you don't
- 4:08Speaker 2: get when you're a student. So well, I'm going to
- 4:10Speaker 2: talk to management about this.
- 4:12Speaker 3: And especially I've always found it curious, you know, particularly
- 4:15Speaker 3: in this culture keasy, you know when culture key, when
- 4:19Speaker 3: Old Mogie and I bully all the time, that there
- 4:21Speaker 3: hasn't been more pushback.
- 4:22Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 4:23Speaker 5: You know what it is is that I'm deeply secure
- 4:26Speaker 5: and who I am as a person is totally man
- 4:28Speaker 5: and your sexuality and my sexual one hundred percent. So
- 4:32Speaker 5: I can go on the radio and sound being and
- 4:34Speaker 5: dudes on the side. That's and that's great and it's all.
- 4:37Speaker 3: G I was watching this really weird thing today and
- 4:41Speaker 3: it was this guy who was gorgeous, Was it me? No,
- 4:45Speaker 3: he was, and he became a male model and he
- 4:48Speaker 3: became quite famous and then he and he wasn't gay,
- 4:51Speaker 3: but he.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Got into his murdering it is.
- 4:53Speaker 3: But wait, it was really interesting and anyway got involved
- 4:57Speaker 3: in gay pornography and stuff, and he wasn't into it,
- 5:00Speaker 3: but it was really lucrative for this isn't me And anyway,
- 5:05Speaker 3: long story, sure, his life kind of unraveled and fell apart,
- 5:08Speaker 3: like he had a wife who was pregnant stuff, and
- 5:10Speaker 3: he was still doing all this escape pornography. But anyway,
- 5:14Speaker 3: en is that killing this fella who wanted to have
- 5:16Speaker 3: sex with him and then taking all his money. And
- 5:19Speaker 3: so he gets arrested and sent a sentence to fifty
- 5:22Speaker 3: years without parole, and at the very end of the program,
- 5:26Speaker 3: they said, blah blah blah, and he's transitioned to a
- 5:30Speaker 3: woman and now he's in a woman's That was the
- 5:33Speaker 3: very last ten seconds.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Of the of the show, and it was like, oh wow, okay,
- 5:38Speaker 4: it's quite a story.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Nothing wrong with that, No, nothing's wrong with that.
- 5:40Speaker 5: That's good eating. I mean apart from the murder. That's
- 5:44Speaker 5: the part that was wrong with it.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Well, yeah, money and taking his money.
- 5:50Speaker 1: It's not ideal money man.
- 5:53Speaker 5: But yeah, if you wave to that guy, he gives
- 5:56Speaker 5: you free chicken, gives you free but also he's just
- 5:57Speaker 5: a nice fellow.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Was that the guy that owns the thing on the corner? Yeah?
- 6:00Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 5: What's your plan for the Magi's home alone this weekend?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Well, I've had a bit of a shocker today because
- 6:07Speaker 2: I've had a going away lunch for Jake. Oh yes, yes,
- 6:11Speaker 2: we are going away lunch from somebody that work for
- 6:13Speaker 2: us here and he's off. But me and Jake had
- 6:16Speaker 2: two beers at lunch. Right, yeah, that's just ruined my day.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Why because I just want to keep drinking? Oh right, gotcha, Yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 2: I understand.
- 6:25Speaker 5: But you're home alone this week home alone. You've been
- 6:27Speaker 5: triggered and all you've got to do is build that
- 6:29Speaker 5: trampoline which takes six drops.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Well, I've actually booked him in for that.
- 6:33Speaker 5: So why can't you just have Oh you're not on the.
- 6:36Speaker 1: What Why can't I keep drinking?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Well I could technically, but I've got to go around
- 6:40Speaker 2: to a mateespace and watch the waz tonight. I don't
- 6:44Speaker 2: want to ruin it by drinking. But I don't drink
- 6:48Speaker 2: during the show. I don't think I've even had I don't.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I've never had a beer during the show except the
- 6:52Speaker 2: live show. Yeah, your keys that you're always on it.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Fuck it now, by the way, you drink.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Just to keep your hands and shove your hands from shaking.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the delirium ts.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 5: I feel like in the compare like historically we are
- 7:08Speaker 5: quite a well behaved show for the station.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yes, I mean I've been in shows previously that way,
- 7:16Speaker 3: you know, a little more out there.
- 7:17Speaker 1: In that exactly. You know what I met Jerry early Doors.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Don't get me started on the A C. C. Well, yes,
- 7:26Speaker 4: you know so, yeah, in the context, yes.
- 7:29Speaker 5: Yeah, do you ever get do you ever get to
- 7:32Speaker 5: the point where you're like man keys steamed and he's
- 7:34Speaker 5: on here?
- 7:34Speaker 4: Yes? Yes, when a couple of times when you're when
- 7:37Speaker 4: you're steamed on, are.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Really genuinely worried, not worried, just just that you're embarrassed.
- 7:45Speaker 2: But like, there was only I think that there was
- 7:47Speaker 2: only one time, really a live show. Yeah, pretty pissed.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Wasn't that the one?
- 7:51Speaker 1: It was? Really? It was pretty early on down in Auckland?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Was it down in Auckland?
- 7:57Speaker 5: Remember it?
- 7:58Speaker 1: I don't remember it there.
- 8:00Speaker 2: But here you get a few on you and you
- 8:01Speaker 2: get happy, You like me happy Chapman, Yeah I am.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I get really happy and then I start smacking people
- 8:06Speaker 2: over yeah for looking at me?
- 8:10Speaker 5: Slowly the massage turn into head.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I wondered, I couldn't tell you the last time I
- 8:16Speaker 2: got into a fight. I mean, I've rolled a few dudes,
- 8:18Speaker 2: but that's not really one way.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Yeah, a fight, you know, the other person has to
- 8:23Speaker 3: have a chance.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Wow, I mean none of the fights have you know.
- 8:27Speaker 4: And if you dick them in your first punch, then
- 8:29Speaker 4: you know it's not really a fighter.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Out Should you organize a fight?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Breakfast? There we go. We've got the next thing we'll
- 8:40Speaker 1: do with them.
- 8:41Speaker 5: First fight, first fight. But like, just so that you
- 8:43Speaker 5: can say I was in a fight the other day. Yeah,
- 8:45Speaker 5: you know what I mean, because it's been as the
- 8:47Speaker 5: last time you got punched and the gats so hard
- 8:49Speaker 5: you were winded. When I was in like intermediate, Yeah, yeah,
- 8:54Speaker 5: it's good stuff.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I was always amazed after because I got in a
- 8:59Speaker 3: few fights when that score. But I was always amazed,
- 9:05Speaker 3: you know when I left school and stuff that I
- 9:09Speaker 3: never got.
- 9:09Speaker 1: My head smacked, and you probably did, you just can't remember.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Probably just yeah, woke up on the pavements, got heaps
- 9:16Speaker 3: in the mashi though, right, But that's different.
- 9:19Speaker 4: That wasn't like pecking a fight, that's a that's a CP.
- 9:22Speaker 5: But like, how did you go from like being a
- 9:24Speaker 5: tough little bastard to getting smacked over heaps of times
- 9:26Speaker 5: in the mashi? I don't like what I tell you
- 9:28Speaker 5: what it was.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yeah, my upbringing, Yeah, all time primary tough.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It toughened me up, actually, and I was we had
- 9:38Speaker 3: the struck because it was predominantly a Maldi bas.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I was just about to say, he's drawing on as
- 9:44Speaker 2: sort of as as as Maldi fucker Pappa. Every time
- 9:47Speaker 2: he sees it always feels like, I don't know, man,
- 9:50Speaker 2: it feels like you're this is a bit of cultural
- 9:52Speaker 2: appropriation that's going on here, especially for a guy that
- 9:55Speaker 2: doesn't know how to say.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Topal tapool's topal top Yeah, correct, and it means dark
- 10:03Speaker 5: bottom because the lake is bottomless. Well, what were you picturing?
- 10:11Speaker 1: Racial?
- 10:11Speaker 5: What were you picturing, Jade?
- 10:13Speaker 1: I don't want to I don't want to.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Tell you all I was picturing when you said dark
- 10:16Speaker 3: bottom if it in a brown ass were I haven't
- 10:20Speaker 3: done poos today and it's actually coming on board now.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm not doing it on the show.
- 10:26Speaker 4: I was just putting it out there just to be
- 10:28Speaker 4: a deck.
- 10:28Speaker 5: No, we need this content for the show.
- 10:30Speaker 4: You know why I put it in there because I
- 10:31Speaker 4: like the word.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Poos and I like putting it on the check.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Should we have some chat chat today for the counter.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Not poosman poos poos chat? Hey?
