- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hello, Big Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Katz. My
- 0:17Speaker 2: name is Michael Bennan on this Monday, May eighteenth. I
- 0:21Speaker 2: hope ever I had a great weekend. I am absolutely exhausted,
- 0:25Speaker 2: but here we go. Uh, Justin Caylen, I almost just
- 0:29Speaker 2: called it Kaylin. Kaylen Justin is with us today. I
- 0:32Speaker 2: like that more. That's a pretty cool first name right there,
- 0:35Speaker 2: by the way, Haylen.
- 0:37Speaker 3: So I used to have a bunch of people in
- 0:39Speaker 3: my life call me Kaylen.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Really.
- 0:42Speaker 3: And also when I was in high school, there was
- 0:45Speaker 3: a girl whose first name was Kaitlin spelled yeah, spelled
- 0:48Speaker 3: exactly like my last name. So people always said, well,
- 0:51Speaker 3: we all should get married.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Y'all should that would be great.
- 0:55Speaker 2: There was a lady that was on social media not
- 0:57Speaker 2: long ago that had a first name that was also
- 1:00Speaker 2: as she got married a lasting by the way. Uh,
- 1:04Speaker 2: this kind of reminds me of one of those scary movies.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You know, there's somebody in the background over there.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I've got.
- 1:12Speaker 3: It's his first day.
- 1:13Speaker 2: He's ah, okay, Well, you know what happens when you
- 1:17Speaker 2: have an intern come in, don't you.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Don't you know?
- 1:20Speaker 1: What happens. I don't know what happens. He goes to
- 1:22Speaker 1: the other side of the studio. Yes he does.
- 1:26Speaker 2: We should throw We're gonna throw him on not yet,
- 1:30Speaker 2: not yet, but we will. And so he had he
- 1:33Speaker 2: doesn't have to prepare for anything. This is Yeah. How
- 1:36Speaker 2: long is he going to be an intern with us?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Great question? You got a link? How long you're gonna
- 1:41Speaker 3: enturn in?
- 1:42Speaker 2: No, don't no, no, no, He'll have to answer to
- 1:45Speaker 2: my questions directly. All right, Yeah, so we don't want
- 1:48Speaker 2: to know. Yeah, what's his name?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Ian? Ian? Hush?
- 1:52Speaker 2: So there you go. Oh you can't hear me? Okay,
- 1:54Speaker 2: well stop moving around. Its creeping me out because I'm
- 1:57Speaker 2: looking at you on the screen. What was that movie
- 1:59Speaker 2: where you know, people would be on the screen of
- 2:01Speaker 2: something and people would warn them that there was somebody
- 2:05Speaker 2: in the house with them.
- 2:06Speaker 3: So you may not know this about me, but I
- 2:08Speaker 3: don't do scary movies.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Oh you don't, Okay, So Corey Price will know. Corey
- 2:11Speaker 2: I guarantee you. Yeah, I guarantee he's watched that movie.
- 2:15Speaker 2: But anyway, Uh, yeah, I I almost have I almost
- 2:22Speaker 2: have no voice. Hey, I don't know what I've done.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I mean I I didn't yet, well yelled a little,
- 2:27Speaker 2: but uh that was a couple of days ago.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I don't know what. No, I have not. I know cigars.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I love to smell of them because you know, Dale
- 2:36Speaker 2: Roman smokes one constantly. I love the smell of cigars.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I just don't like the taste of them. No, I
- 2:42Speaker 2: really don't. That's especially the next day. It's it's like
- 2:48Speaker 2: it's ten times I enjoy it when you're doing it,
- 2:50Speaker 2: but the next day it's like a thousand times worse.
- 2:54Speaker 2: But anyway, we have, we have. We had a great weekend.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I mean, first time I've been to the breetingess.
- 3:01Speaker 1: That was fun.
- 3:02Speaker 2: And but anyway, uh so we've got lots to discuss
- 3:06Speaker 2: this morning. But five O two three four fourteen fifty,
- 3:09Speaker 2: if you want to call in five oh two four
- 3:11Speaker 2: one four fourteen fifty, if you want to text me
- 3:14Speaker 2: on the Whiskey te text line. It looks like I'm
- 3:16Speaker 2: gonna need some help. So maybe a few people will
- 3:19Speaker 2: call today, because man, it sure would be nice to
- 3:21Speaker 2: hand the mic over. Yeah, that's that might be the
- 3:23Speaker 2: creepiest thing ever. You see what I'm seeing right now. No,
- 3:27Speaker 2: that is the creepiest thing. I've ever seen in my life.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I can just barely see like a portion of a face.
- 3:34Speaker 2: And long hair and a mustache. Okay, I just want
- 3:37Speaker 2: you to know. And it's behind you. It is the
- 3:40Speaker 2: weirdest looking thing. But anyway, this is gonna.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Be So if this was the last show.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Well it's been fun justin I've really I just want
- 3:49Speaker 2: to tell you how much I've really enjoyed working with you.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 2: So I'm still over in Baltimore because there is a
- 3:57Speaker 2: Phasing Tipton Midtlantic. It's not this messes me up too.
- 4:02Speaker 2: It's called mid Atlantic, so they don't allow the at
- 4:06Speaker 2: be in it. It's mid Atlantic, okay, not mid Atlantic.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Two year old horse sale going on, so I'm staying
- 4:13Speaker 2: for that, and you know, maybe I'll partake in one
- 4:17Speaker 2: or two horses.
- 4:18Speaker 3: You got the YouTube feed up right now.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It's not going on, but you can have the YouTube
- 4:25Speaker 2: feed up so it starts at eleven and you can
- 4:28Speaker 2: go to Phasing Tipton and watch the live sale and
- 4:32Speaker 2: I'll be there. So yeah, I'm looking at a uh
- 4:38Speaker 2: you potentially could see me if I go. If I
- 4:41Speaker 2: go at a certain time at a certain place, I
- 4:44Speaker 2: can go back there and start waving looking like an idiot.
- 4:46Speaker 1: They might not ask me back, but I'm okay with that.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I was looking for you at Preakness. I figured with
- 4:53Speaker 3: only four thousand people there, you might be easy to find.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, yeah, you didn't see me.
- 5:00Speaker 2: And uh, I just posted a picture I took of
- 5:02Speaker 2: the backside, uh for the show. So that was kind
- 5:05Speaker 2: of It's kind of neat yesterday. I mean, nobody's there
- 5:08Speaker 2: and I'm kind of the only one there. The training's
- 5:10Speaker 2: already over for the day, and it was, uh, it
- 5:12Speaker 2: was just me, and it's it's it's it.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Let me.
- 5:15Speaker 2: It's a it's a fine, It's okay. As far as
- 5:19Speaker 2: a race track, I mean, there are a few out
- 5:21Speaker 2: there that are just I can tell you Pimlico before
- 5:25Speaker 2: they tore it down was not an okay track. It
- 5:28Speaker 2: was a it was an absolute dump. I hate to
- 5:30Speaker 2: say it. Uh that's that's the nicest way I can
- 5:33Speaker 2: describe Pimlico. So it's I'm looking forward to see what
- 5:36Speaker 2: they're going to do that track. But you know, uh, yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 2: exactly so. But all right, so I want to ask
- 5:44Speaker 2: you a question, and I'm going to tell you a
- 5:47Speaker 2: little story and then you tell me if I did
- 5:50Speaker 2: the right thing or the wrong thing.
- 5:53Speaker 1: So as I'm going with this decision, absolutely I'm trusting you.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I trust you with my life. Justin come on, as
- 6:03Speaker 1: I am going to the airport. So I had to
- 6:04Speaker 1: get up three o'clock in the morning. My ride share driver,
- 6:10Speaker 1: I won't use the company. I think that's fair. Not
- 6:14Speaker 1: Way No, it was not Waymo.
- 6:17Speaker 2: And I didn't get caught in a cul de sack
- 6:19Speaker 2: down in Atlanta, Georgia. But it was a person driving
- 6:23Speaker 2: the car, an actual human being. And so they picked
- 6:27Speaker 2: me up at four o'clock. And as we're driving towards
- 6:33Speaker 2: the airport, he's going at least ten miles under the
- 6:40Speaker 2: speed limit. So I'm starting to panic because I wanted
- 6:48Speaker 2: to sleep as much as I could and get to
- 6:53Speaker 2: the airport in a timely manner.
- 6:55Speaker 1: On top of it all, it was kind of hot
- 6:58Speaker 1: in the car, so.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I proceed I proceeded to say, sir, the speed limit
- 7:06Speaker 2: is forty five. Do you mind if we at least
- 7:10Speaker 2: go the speed limit.
- 7:12Speaker 3: There was no reason for him going slower than he
- 7:14Speaker 3: was zero.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It was nobody, I would say. He was in his sixties.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Well that's the problem right there.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And but is it really? And then with that he drove.
- 7:29Speaker 2: When we finally make it to the water's An Expressway,
- 7:33Speaker 2: he drove in the left lane, barely going the speed limit.
- 7:38Speaker 2: And on top of all, I'm hot. I did ask
- 7:42Speaker 2: for a little more air, you know, because I'm hot.
- 7:47Speaker 1: He rolls down the window. So at this point I'm.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Like, I have pissed the guy off, especially since he
- 7:58Speaker 2: just rolls a window down. Uh did I do the
- 8:01Speaker 2: wrong thing? Is it not kosher to tell the guy?
- 8:05Speaker 2: Because he did? He goes, Oh, do you like me
- 8:07Speaker 2: to go faster? I said, well, I was very nice.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I said, you know, I wanted to sleep as long
- 8:13Speaker 2: as I could, so I kind of pushed the limit
- 8:15Speaker 2: on when my plane leaves and when I need to
- 8:17Speaker 2: be at the airport. And I said, I would greatly
- 8:20Speaker 2: appreciate if it at least with the speed limit.
- 8:22Speaker 3: But this is fine out of Louisville, right correct, which
- 8:25Speaker 3: is the fastest airport to get through of all times?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Sometimes it is, sometimes it's not.
- 8:30Speaker 2: If you're pre TSA, uh like I am, you can
- 8:34Speaker 2: get through the line fairly quickly. If you're not pre TSA,
- 8:37Speaker 2: you could be in the line for a while and
- 8:41Speaker 2: when we've lost you know, Spirit Airlines no longer in business,
- 8:44Speaker 2: and a few other things that have been happening with
- 8:47Speaker 2: scheduling amongst airlines. The line was fairly long, sometimes out
- 8:52Speaker 2: to the door outside, and so I, you know, I
- 8:56Speaker 2: started panicking. So I want to know from you what
- 9:00Speaker 2: are the does and don'ts when you're in a ride
- 9:03Speaker 2: share car. Did I do the right thing? Or is
- 9:05Speaker 2: that something that should not be tolerated and I should
- 9:09Speaker 2: just shut up and just take the ride?
- 9:11Speaker 1: And and is it okay to ask for air.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Let's break this down into two parts. I'm ready the
- 9:19Speaker 3: atmosphere and then the speed. So the speed thing, I
- 9:23Speaker 3: think the customer always would have say in terms of
- 9:27Speaker 3: the speed of your uber lyft or whatever you're in,
- 9:30Speaker 3: especially if you're going too fast then you don't feel safe.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I think it's okay to say something if you're going
- 9:36Speaker 3: too slow and he's not even going the speed limit. Again,
- 9:39Speaker 3: I also think that is that's okay to say something.
- 9:42Speaker 2: We were literally going thirty five miles an hour for
- 9:45Speaker 2: forty five zone.
- 9:46Speaker 1: That's ridiculous, That's what I thought. I mean.
- 9:48Speaker 2: And granted it's early, nobody's on the roads. But if
- 9:52Speaker 2: somebody came flying up behind us. I'm scared David ram
- 9:55Speaker 2: us from behind.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Now.
- 9:57Speaker 3: In terms of the atmosphere again, I think I'm gonna
- 10:00Speaker 3: have the same take. I think you're okay for the
- 10:03Speaker 3: customer to ask if they're too hot or too cold.
- 10:06Speaker 3: But at the same time, shouldn't the driver be cognizant
- 10:10Speaker 3: of all that, Like, shouldn't the driver be the one
- 10:13Speaker 3: asking you, is are you comfortable? Everything?
- 10:15Speaker 4: Okay? True?
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah? Because that would increase their tip. I would think, yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 1: Well that's the other question too.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Since we're driving so slow and the temperature was hot,
- 10:28Speaker 2: do you give them a nice tip? Do you give
- 10:30Speaker 2: them an okay tip? Or do you give him a
- 10:32Speaker 2: tip at all? No, tell me you didn't tip. I
- 10:35Speaker 2: gave him a nice tip, Okay, Yeah I did. I
- 10:39Speaker 2: mean he was very nice. He kept being apologetic, and
- 10:44Speaker 2: so no I tipped them.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I did. I think.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Am I working at four o'clock in the morning because
- 10:50Speaker 2: he had to leave wherever he lives lives probably around
- 10:54Speaker 2: three thirty quarter after three something like that. So the
- 10:57Speaker 2: dude's work in the middle of the night, you got
- 10:59Speaker 2: to give him something.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I think it's you should always tip them appropriately. No, Like,
- 11:03Speaker 3: I mean, I get it. If you have bad service.
- 11:06Speaker 3: If you want to tip a little bit less, that
- 11:07Speaker 3: that's I'm cool with that. Like, if he's swerving in
- 11:10Speaker 3: and out of traffic, then and you you got to
- 11:13Speaker 3: the point where you were kind of fearing for your life,
- 11:16Speaker 3: maybe you don't tip him quite as handsomely. But if
- 11:19Speaker 3: he got you to where you're going safely, that's that's
- 11:22Speaker 3: his job. Go to point.
- 11:23Speaker 1: If I'm fearing for my life, I'm not tipping at all.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Are you kidding? Is a point?
- 11:28Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, man, if you're scared to death, you
- 11:31Speaker 2: you tipped? Really, I would say, no matter what, you
- 11:34Speaker 2: always tip, is what you're telling me.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Yeah, because, I mean, ever, I've worked in too many
- 11:38Speaker 3: jobs were tips likely likely.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So there's never been a time you have never tipped before? No? Never? Wow?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Now, okay, I did have an incident, and my buddies
- 11:49Speaker 3: from high school can attest to this. But when I
- 11:52Speaker 3: was sixteen, right, and this is why I tip like
- 11:55Speaker 3: I do today. I'm a very very good tipper. But
- 11:58Speaker 3: when I was sixteen, was the girl I was dating
- 12:01Speaker 3: at the time, her and one of her good friends.
- 12:04Speaker 3: We went to Hooters and had this huge order. We
- 12:08Speaker 3: all ate like kings and queens, and my mom and
- 12:10Speaker 3: dad called me. I had their credit card. They called
- 12:13Speaker 3: me and they're like, hey, can you bring us home
- 12:15Speaker 3: some buffalo shrimp and some this and that. So our
- 12:18Speaker 3: order ended up being like one hundred and twenty five,
- 12:21Speaker 3: hundred and thirty bucks something like that. I was sixteen.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I didn't know tipping culture. I didn't have an understanding
- 12:27Speaker 3: of any of that. I gave our server I think
- 12:31Speaker 3: like a dollar sixty three. And the only reason that
- 12:36Speaker 3: it sticks out today because as I'm walking out the door,
- 12:41Speaker 3: two of my best buddies are walking in the door.
- 12:43Speaker 3: We say hello or whatever. They end up sitting at
- 12:46Speaker 3: the exact same table. We were oh no, and they
- 12:50Speaker 3: said they called me when they were left, and they
- 12:52Speaker 3: were like, she had the biggest attitude in the world,
- 12:55Speaker 3: and we could not figure out why. And then finally
- 12:58Speaker 3: we got it out of her that it was the
- 13:00Speaker 3: jerk that sat at the table before us that tipped
- 13:02Speaker 3: her a dollar sixty three on one hundred and twenty five.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Wow.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Ever since that day, I told myself, all right, we're tipping.
- 13:10Speaker 3: We understand now the tipping culture. We're going twenty percent
- 13:13Speaker 3: from here on it.
- 13:14Speaker 1: So you didn't go back and give her a little
- 13:15Speaker 1: more money after you heard this?
- 13:17Speaker 3: No, because I mean I was already home. No, I
- 13:21Speaker 3: didn't go back. I mean I feel bad still this day.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I feel bad.
- 13:25Speaker 2: We are Do you do you remember the name of
- 13:27Speaker 2: the restaurant? Is it still in business?
- 13:30Speaker 5: Uh?
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I just told you the name of the restaurant?
- 13:33Speaker 1: What was it?
- 13:35Speaker 4: I didn't.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't. If you said Hooters, I completely missed that.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Did you really say?
- 13:40Speaker 1: Who? Okay? Good for you?
- 13:42Speaker 2: That's yeah. Oh that's three times scared exactly in terms
- 13:48Speaker 2: of it.
- 13:48Speaker 3: They're instill in business. I think that's debatable. It feels
- 13:51Speaker 3: like they're all shutting down.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Well yeah, rehooting.
- 13:54Speaker 2: You know, they're going through that rehooterization, which I still
- 13:58Speaker 2: think is hilarious because original owner went back in bottom.
- 14:01Speaker 2: It's like, wow, good, good for you. But I just
- 14:04Speaker 2: I'm like you, I haven't been there. I cannot tell
- 14:07Speaker 2: you the last time I was at Hooter.
- 14:08Speaker 3: There's only one left in our area?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Is it the one off Breckinridge. I have no idea.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I think we've had this discussion before. I have no idea.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Yeah, because there used to be the one down South
- 14:20Speaker 2: Louisville off I sixty five. There used to be the
- 14:22Speaker 2: one right there on the river, which is long gone,
- 14:25Speaker 2: I think right no, across the street over in Jeffersonville.
- 14:29Speaker 3: That one and probably about a year now.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Has it really And then you had the one over
- 14:34Speaker 2: at Dutchman's off Breaking Ridge. I think that one is
- 14:38Speaker 2: still open. But yeah, you're right, don't worry about We
- 14:40Speaker 2: don't need to give them a plug. But uh, hopefully
- 14:45Speaker 2: they're getting their rehooterizations.
- 14:47Speaker 1: We don't know.
- 14:47Speaker 2: But uh, anyway, what a way to talk about you know,
- 14:52Speaker 2: your your need for testosterone, so thank goodness.
- 14:56Speaker 1: But.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I know you get to the dexline and you see
- 15:01Speaker 2: this start your transformation by God and go to uh
- 15:05Speaker 2: the rehooterization of hooters. So uh anyway, but it was
- 15:08Speaker 2: fun weekend, you know. Obviously it didn't turn out the
- 15:13Speaker 2: way I wanted to. We had two horses run, one
- 15:16Speaker 2: run Saturday night at Churchill and then of course uh
- 15:19Speaker 2: Corona Diorro that ran Saturday afternoon in the Preakness, and
- 15:23Speaker 2: and he basically did what I thought he would do
- 15:25Speaker 2: last uh third to last. I mean didn't no, he
- 15:30Speaker 2: did not know he wouldn't last. He was third, but
- 15:33Speaker 2: might as well maybe not first your last. I mean, yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 2: so I I'm glad I didn't bet. I'm glad. Uh,
- 15:40Speaker 2: I'm glad we went. I'm glad to go through the experience.
- 15:43Speaker 2: But that's it. Yeah, I don't need anything else like that.
- 15:46Speaker 1: That's all. That's a lot of money to come in
- 15:48Speaker 1: last place.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I mean it is cool though, that you got to
- 15:50Speaker 3: experience that.
- 15:52Speaker 1: It's cool.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Then maybe hopefully it's the start of a bunch more.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Well, we got to take into consideration if we're going
- 15:58Speaker 2: to Belmont or not now, and uh, we're not going
- 16:02Speaker 2: to Belmont.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Okay, isn't that one? Isn't that the longest of the three.
- 16:07Speaker 1: A mile and a half. Yes, yeah, it is the
- 16:11Speaker 1: mile and a quarter exactly.
- 16:12Speaker 3: And Preakness was what milon an eighth.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Mile in three sixteens. I don't know, I know you
- 16:22Speaker 2: think it would go well, I don't understand any of it.
- 16:26Speaker 2: So but uh listen, and the other crazy part, you
- 16:29Speaker 2: know that was Preakness one fifty one for them, so
- 16:32Speaker 2: they're a year younger than uh.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And then I think the Belmont's the oldest. If I'm correct,
- 16:37Speaker 1: I think.
- 16:38Speaker 3: It'll be behind as well.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I think it's older. I think it's the oldest of
- 16:43Speaker 1: the three.
- 16:44Speaker 2: But uh uh, it's just it's just you know, I
- 16:49Speaker 2: like Laurel I one and fifty eighth. Yeah, so there
- 16:54Speaker 2: you go. So it's six years older than all of them.
- 16:56Speaker 2: You would think it would be the most famous because
- 16:59Speaker 2: of the it being the oldest, but it's not. But uh,
- 17:02Speaker 2: all right, Uh, let's go ahead and take our first break.
- 17:05Speaker 2: When we come back, we got to talk about the
- 17:08Speaker 2: Was it a fight or was it just for money?
- 17:11Speaker 1: I mean, we're we'll talk about that.
- 17:14Speaker 2: We got players landing in Lexington, we got baseball news.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Uh.
- 17:19Speaker 1: And then it was.
- 17:20Speaker 2: A big weekend for some interesting plays that stood out
- 17:23Speaker 2: in the NBA.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I'm not in the NBA, in the MLB. Uh.
- 17:27Speaker 2: And then a former player wins it two times in
- 17:30Speaker 2: a row. We'll talk about that too.
- 17:32Speaker 6: Uh.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Five O two three four fourteen fifty. You want to
- 17:34Speaker 2: call in, man, I'm tired. Five O two four one
- 17:38Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty. I'm taking me a little bit to
- 17:40Speaker 2: think about anything. I'm not even going squirrel today. That's
- 17:43Speaker 2: how tired I am.
- 17:45Speaker 7: Uh.
- 17:45Speaker 2: If you want to text in on the Whiskey Thief
- 17:47Speaker 2: text line, or you can tweet me at just the
- 17:49Speaker 2: Cat ray.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Plus, we have a brand.
- 17:52Speaker 2: New intern, can't we get you know, I won't say
- 17:57Speaker 2: it anyway.
- 17:58Speaker 1: What's his name? Eh Ian?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Ian needs to go to the other side. Okay, when
- 18:03Speaker 2: we come back, we are going to meet Ian. That's
- 18:06Speaker 2: going to be here for determined amount of time. None
- 18:10Speaker 2: of us know. But well no, hopefully Ian. If Ian
- 18:14Speaker 2: doesn't know, I'm gonna just like this is so typical,
- 18:16Speaker 2: he may not. He may not know it exactly. There's
- 18:20Speaker 2: our little teas right there. Ian's going to join us.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Stay right there.
- 18:24Speaker 4: This is just a cat.
- 18:44Speaker 8: I still your voice when you sleep next to me,
- 18:51Speaker 8: still your touch in my dream? Forgive me.
- 19:04Speaker 3: With hot es.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Biblo two three four fourteen fifty.
- 19:15Speaker 2: If you want to call in Bible two four one
- 19:17Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty, you want to text in on the
- 19:18Speaker 2: whiskey th text line? Are you tweet me just the
- 19:20Speaker 2: Cat Radio. Uh, there's something about uh. You know, you
- 19:25Speaker 2: know when I'm there in studio, I don't hear half
- 19:28Speaker 2: the stuff you're doing because you know, we're in two
- 19:30Speaker 2: completely different rooms separated by cement block. But since we're
- 19:35Speaker 2: since I'm on a computer in Baltimore, Maryland, and I'm
- 19:38Speaker 2: watching you and I'm hearing everything you're doing. I mean,
- 19:41Speaker 2: it's it's just like you're doing every commercial and you're
- 19:45Speaker 2: making fun of me.
- 19:46Speaker 1: F O O D.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Then you start singing as I plumbing dot com. I mean,
- 19:50Speaker 2: it's like, what are you doing over there?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Are you?
- 19:52Speaker 4: Just?
- 19:53Speaker 6: So?
- 19:53Speaker 3: I love commercials, Michaelvin. I don't know what to tell you.
- 19:56Speaker 3: I just I love them. Okay, all right, I I'm
- 20:01Speaker 3: glad you do. Not me making fun of you. That's
- 20:03Speaker 3: just me singing along or saying along with the commercial.
- 20:05Speaker 1: All right. I like that, I tell you.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I know, and I'm like, Okay, you're making fun of
- 20:12Speaker 2: what I'm doing there, Well, you're making fun of me,
- 20:15Speaker 2: so but it's fine. Everybody makes fun of me. What's
- 20:17Speaker 2: the difference? My own family makes fun of me on
- 20:19Speaker 2: a daily basis. So uh, anyway, all right, we have
- 20:22Speaker 2: to do this now because we have a new intern,
- 20:26Speaker 2: and I think it's Listen. I'm really disappointed I'm not
- 20:30Speaker 2: there because I would rather do this face to face
- 20:33Speaker 2: rather than remotely. But we're gonna do it remotely, and
- 20:37Speaker 2: then will he be there when I.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Get back in a couple of weeks? Should they? Yeah?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Okay, good, well, I look forward to it. So good morning, Ian.
- 20:45Speaker 2: How are you doing. Tell us a little bit about
- 20:48Speaker 2: yourself please, So.
- 20:50Speaker 6: Michael, I'm in. I'm I am. I'm from Louisville, so
- 20:56Speaker 6: I've been here for a long time. I'm coming from
- 21:00Speaker 6: I'm a broadcasting student at Western Kentucky University and I've
- 21:03Speaker 6: been loving it so far doing this in turn round
- 21:05Speaker 6: of the bat.
- 21:08Speaker 2: But okay, good are you excited? I mean, can you
- 21:11Speaker 2: have a little I know it's eight o'clock in the morning,
- 21:14Speaker 2: it's eight thirty. Can you have a little bit of
- 21:17Speaker 2: excitement in your voice?
- 21:18Speaker 6: He in?
- 21:19Speaker 5: Of course, I can have a little bit of exciting.
- 21:23Speaker 1: That's what I like.
- 21:24Speaker 5: And don't worry. I won't make funny. Okay, I won't
- 21:26Speaker 5: make fun No.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I want you no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Listen, I'm kidding.
- 21:30Speaker 2: If you want to make fun of me, I want
- 21:33Speaker 2: you to make fun of me. If I say something ridiculous,
- 21:35Speaker 2: that's an old man take. That's the dumbest thing I
- 21:37Speaker 2: ever heard. I want you speaking up. This is a
- 21:41Speaker 2: show where everyone speaks their mind. Okay, does that make sense.
- 21:45Speaker 5: I've got you on the u L fans. I'll definitely speaking. Mom.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Oh that's okay, that's it. Thank you. Ian really enjoyed media.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, another card around here?
- 21:58Speaker 2: And what is going on one with this radio station?
- 22:01Speaker 2: Can we not find and seek out people that go
- 22:04Speaker 2: to UVERS Kentucky?
- 22:05Speaker 1: We got a listen.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I was okay with Western Kentucky and then he blurts out,
- 22:09Speaker 2: I'm a U of L fan.
- 22:10Speaker 1: It's like, why do we have to say that? Are
- 22:12Speaker 1: you not?
- 22:15Speaker 5: Ian?
- 22:16Speaker 1: I am talking? Don't you dare interrupt me? Ian?
- 22:22Speaker 2: I do have to ask a question, why would you
- 22:23Speaker 2: go to Western Kentucky and not be a fan of
- 22:26Speaker 2: your own school?
- 22:29Speaker 6: Well, I've been a UFL fan all my life, so
- 22:33Speaker 6: picking that over Western just because I picked it because
- 22:36Speaker 6: of their best broadcasting program in this state. That's why
- 22:40Speaker 6: would I pick my favorite team of U of L
- 22:43Speaker 6: over a big red hill?
- 22:46Speaker 1: That's what?
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's a fair question. Why would you?
- 22:49Speaker 2: But I understand why you did. I didn't realize they
- 22:52Speaker 2: had a did you know that justin a broadcasting school
- 22:54Speaker 2: down at Western? So congratulations?
- 22:57Speaker 4: Tell us?
- 22:58Speaker 2: Now, Ian, do you have a last name or you
- 22:59Speaker 2: just your parents only gave you a first name because
- 23:01Speaker 2: they didn't find you worthy enough to have the last name.
- 23:04Speaker 5: Well, it was the middle child, so that makes sense
- 23:05Speaker 5: why they wouldn't let me.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Okay, I'm liking Ian even more right now, justin I
- 23:11Speaker 2: want you to know that.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yes, okay, Blandford, all right? Ian? And what year you
- 23:17Speaker 1: in school at Western?
- 23:18Speaker 5: I'm a freshman right now. Actually I'll be a sophomore
- 23:20Speaker 5: next year.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Congratulations. So where did you go to school in Louisville?
- 23:26Speaker 6: Non'll see I always say this, but I'm actually in
- 23:28Speaker 6: Spencer County. I went to Spencer County High School right
- 23:31Speaker 6: outside of it.
- 23:32Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I don't have a problem with Spencer County. Don't be
- 23:35Speaker 2: ashamed of Spencer County. I mean that that's that's what's
- 23:40Speaker 2: he saying.
- 23:43Speaker 6: Okay, my goodness, it's a it's a good county.
- 23:46Speaker 5: I love it. But it's it's its own name, all right.
- 23:49Speaker 1: So where did you live in Spencer County?
- 23:51Speaker 5: What?
- 23:51Speaker 1: What?
- 23:52Speaker 2: So your address is what? Not your home address? Please
- 23:55Speaker 2: don't say that. But city wise? What city were you
- 23:58Speaker 2: in Spencer County? Taylor'sville. I was in Fisherville. Actually, Fisherville
- 24:03Speaker 2: is a beautiful area. I love Fisherville.
- 24:06Speaker 5: It's a great spot.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Yes, and you have a mom and dad, and you
- 24:10Speaker 2: have a other. Clearly you have a mom. We don't
- 24:14Speaker 2: know about the dad part. But I'm just I'm just kidding. Okay,
- 24:18Speaker 2: but uh uh do you get along better with your
- 24:20Speaker 2: mommy your dad?
- 24:23Speaker 6: I have to say my mom because maybe she's listening
- 24:25Speaker 6: to this right now and she would kill me if
- 24:26Speaker 6: I say that.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Yes, I would say my mom probably.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Okay, good? All right? Well sorry, and should we dare
- 24:35Speaker 1: ask what mom's name is?
- 24:37Speaker 5: That's it's Sarah.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Oh I like that name. That's a pretty name. Okay, Hello, Sarah, welcome,
- 24:44Speaker 2: welcome to just Okay, it doesn't it doesn't rank up
- 24:52Speaker 2: there with Shannon the Lady, But well we'll we'll tolerate
- 24:55Speaker 2: Sarah for a little.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Is Sarah or your dad are they UK fans or No?
- 25:00Speaker 5: Absolutely not.
- 25:01Speaker 2: It's okay, Well we're wasting our time talking about that.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, this is this is just a sad day.
- 25:08Speaker 2: So how long is your internship? How what are you
- 25:10Speaker 2: going to be trying to learn here at the Big X.
- 25:13Speaker 6: Well, I'll be here for the entire summer, and what
- 25:15Speaker 6: I'm trying to learn here is how is to learn
- 25:17Speaker 6: the ropes of how to do sports talk and just
- 25:20Speaker 6: try to get myself in like a little put my
- 25:23Speaker 6: foot into the doorstep, you know, try to understand how this,
- 25:27Speaker 6: how this, how i'd say business works, I would.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Say, and then replace Michael Bennett in other words, is
- 25:34Speaker 2: that what you want to do?
- 25:35Speaker 6: Well, I don't want to be on the UK sports radio.
- 25:37Speaker 6: We can switch it. We'll make it the big U
- 25:38Speaker 6: of L sports radio.
- 25:39Speaker 5: I do that.
- 25:40Speaker 2: This dude is sounded like Vince Merrill right now. I
- 25:43Speaker 2: want you to know that he wants to change the
- 25:45Speaker 2: name of the show to just the Cards. We're not
- 25:47Speaker 2: doing that, and you can tell Jeff that too.
- 25:50Speaker 1: We're not. No.
- 25:52Speaker 2: All right, well, I will tell you this, Ian, I'm
- 25:55Speaker 2: enjoying talking to you. You can stay on with us.
- 25:57Speaker 2: You don't have to unless you have to be. Does
- 25:59Speaker 2: he have to be on the other side with you?
- 26:01Speaker 1: Justin? I don't think so.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Ian, You're you're gonna enjoy and you're
- 26:07Speaker 2: gonna be with us. Okay, So you just know the
- 26:10Speaker 2: entire summer you're welcome to be on the show if
- 26:13Speaker 2: you would like to.
- 26:14Speaker 5: All right, sounds good. I can't wait to get back
- 26:16Speaker 5: on the show again.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Well, but keep in mind, this is a UK show.
- 26:19Speaker 2: We don't knock UK on this show, and we have
- 26:22Speaker 2: to speak. We have to speak very highly of Kentucky.
- 26:29Speaker 2: All right, then Josh texts it out I five two
- 26:33Speaker 2: four one four fourteen fifty not letting Ian hear what
- 26:36Speaker 2: Michael is saying is false advertisement. He might want to
- 26:39Speaker 2: bail on us as soon as he actually is able
- 26:42Speaker 2: to hear him speak and mispronounced stuff flap out loud.
- 26:45Speaker 2: We got to tell him of the Just the Cats
- 26:47Speaker 2: drinking game?
- 26:49Speaker 1: Oh boy? Should should we tell? All right? Ian, let
- 26:53Speaker 1: me ask you this.
- 26:54Speaker 2: There is a game that one of our listeners, Josh,
- 26:57Speaker 2: has made up that is a drinking game.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I not able to drink though, Keep that in mind.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Oh I liked it?
- 27:05Speaker 2: Okay, well, you know, maybe we'll fill him up with
- 27:08Speaker 2: caffeine because you know, his enthusiasm was it really great
- 27:11Speaker 2: at the beginning. Now it's it's starting to warm up.
- 27:14Speaker 2: He's kind of like Matthew. Okay, I just want you
- 27:16Speaker 2: to know. And Matthew didn't wake up until nine o'clock
- 27:19Speaker 2: in the morning, So, uh, can you guess what the
- 27:23Speaker 2: drinking game is for?
- 27:24Speaker 4: Just the Cats?
- 27:27Speaker 5: Got no clue at all. I don't have no idea.
- 27:29Speaker 1: All right, justin go ahead and tell him.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Every time Michael Bennett says a good friend or a
- 27:34Speaker 3: great friend, you gotta take a shot, which means you
- 27:38Speaker 3: will be hammered by about eight forty five every single day.
- 27:42Speaker 1: That is true, and it's eight thirty six on top
- 27:44Speaker 1: of it all. I just have a lot of good friends.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Is that?
- 27:47Speaker 2: Is that a I consider a lot of people my
- 27:50Speaker 2: good friend?
- 27:51Speaker 1: I would cant or what do you think? I consider you?
- 27:53Speaker 1: Justin a friend? That's all? You think? You are?
- 27:58Speaker 3: Just a friend. That's what bism He told me, who's
- 28:02Speaker 3: biz Marky? Don't you know you know that song say
- 28:04Speaker 3: he's just a friend?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, yeah that song.
- 28:08Speaker 5: I'm not even born that song?
- 28:12Speaker 1: Oh well, oh okay, here we go calling out your
- 28:17Speaker 1: music knowledge. Yeah exactly. Wow.
- 28:21Speaker 2: One person said, uh, there's two Hooters still in existence,
- 28:26Speaker 2: Preston Highway and Dutchman's Length, So there you go. There's
- 28:30Speaker 2: still two around Louisville. So that takes your shot at
- 28:34Speaker 2: hootification that they're still here in town.
- 28:36Speaker 3: I will not be heading to either of those.
- 28:39Speaker 1: He said.
- 28:40Speaker 2: The talent is lacking for Hooters here lately, though, feels
- 28:43Speaker 2: like Pope has been recruiting for them as Wow.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Why is that that fun? I think that's it. I
- 28:54Speaker 1: think it was a greato. I thought it was a
- 28:56Speaker 1: really good joke.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I mean exactly, so uh forty eight handily if I
- 29:01Speaker 2: could pull this up, that's what she said said, the
- 29:04Speaker 2: Belmont is the oldest, Derby is the youngest. That can't
- 29:09Speaker 2: be right, because it was the Preakness one fifty one
- 29:14Speaker 2: this year it was Derby one fifty two, and it
- 29:17Speaker 2: will be Belmont one fifty eight.
- 29:19Speaker 3: So for one hereio, I'm wondering if Belmont or Preakness
- 29:23Speaker 3: rather didn't start first and it took maybe two or
- 29:26Speaker 3: three years off, and that's why they would be behind.
- 29:29Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know either.
- 29:32Speaker 2: One person said Belmont is older, but hasn't been a
- 29:36Speaker 2: ran run consecutive consecutively every year like the Derby. Basically
- 29:42Speaker 2: there's the Derby and everything else. Now I did not
- 29:45Speaker 2: know that, So he's telling me that the Belmont wasn't
- 29:50Speaker 2: run every single year.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Ian are you much of a horse racing fan?
- 29:55Speaker 6: I always I look into the Derby a lot. You know,
- 29:57Speaker 6: I'm decent on the horse racing bit. I'm a little
- 30:00Speaker 6: upset the Golden Temple didn't go into the preaknous though.
- 30:02Speaker 6: It's it's been like this for the past two years
- 30:04Speaker 6: where the Derby winner does not show.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I see, I'm right there with you. So did
- 30:09Speaker 2: you did you even watch the races weekend?
- 30:11Speaker 5: I watch the prenous sadly.
- 30:14Speaker 2: And if there had been if if Golden Tempo, the
- 30:16Speaker 2: Kentucky Derby winner had gone, do you feel like you
- 30:19Speaker 2: would have watched the premus?
- 30:20Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 30:21Speaker 1: See.
- 30:22Speaker 2: And that's that that really hurts Kentucky Derby and any
- 30:27Speaker 2: horse racing in general, because there is a there's a
- 30:29Speaker 2: gen z right there that didn't even have any interest
- 30:32Speaker 2: in watching the race. Now, it was a big weekend
- 30:34Speaker 2: in Churchill Downs because they had the night racing. You know,
- 30:37Speaker 2: all the crazies come out for that. That's a that's
- 30:40Speaker 2: a young person's night. With the last race going on.
- 30:43Speaker 2: I think it was like quarter to eleven, it was last. Yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 2: did you go?
- 30:47Speaker 3: I didn't go, but I was betting on the races
- 30:49Speaker 3: and it was really it was ridiculously late.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Uh.
- 30:54Speaker 2: One person asked, how did the Cairo Prince baby work?
- 30:58Speaker 2: Michael uh is culter Philly. Is it gray Cairo? Princess
- 31:02Speaker 2: Gray being the grandson of Holy bull Man. This guy
- 31:05Speaker 2: knows his horse racing, yes, forty eight handily. He did
- 31:10Speaker 2: not work this weekend. There's a little bit of a
- 31:12Speaker 2: cold going around. So my two little horses that are
- 31:16Speaker 2: two years old did not work out or train or
- 31:19Speaker 2: do anything this weekend because having a little cold. The
- 31:23Speaker 2: Preakness predator predicated the Derby by two years. I did
- 31:28Speaker 2: not know that it had. It has had its interruptions. Okay,
- 31:32Speaker 2: so there you go. There's your explanation right there. So
- 31:35Speaker 2: that's that's kind of disappointing. So on the weekends sports wise,
- 31:41Speaker 2: what is your go to ian when you're this time
- 31:44Speaker 2: of year when not much is going on. Have you
- 31:46Speaker 2: experienced the football team this year called the Kings.
- 31:53Speaker 6: I haven't watched the game much really, I've probably watched
- 31:55Speaker 6: one game I did. I did like what I was
- 31:57Speaker 6: seeing though the Jason Bean sucked. That was the only
- 32:00Speaker 6: guy I did not like watching. But everything else is
- 32:02Speaker 6: perfectly fine. Watching the gigs. What about are you a
- 32:06Speaker 6: soccer fan?
- 32:07Speaker 5: Absolutely not.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Oh, he has redeemed himself all of a sudden. We
- 32:12Speaker 1: just had the step brothers. Mean, did we just become
- 32:15Speaker 1: best friends?
- 32:16Speaker 2: Yes, I'm afraid we did so, cause yeah, I kind
- 32:21Speaker 2: of agree with you right there.
- 32:22Speaker 1: So anyway we gotta take a break. Well, we'll have more.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I in with us too. He's gonna stay right here.
- 32:28Speaker 2: But if you want to call in five oh two
- 32:30Speaker 2: three four fourteen fifty one, text in on the Whiskey
- 32:32Speaker 2: Deep text line, you can do that in five oh
- 32:34Speaker 2: two four one four fourteen fifty, or you can tweet
- 32:38Speaker 2: me at just the Cat raise stay right there. A
- 32:40Speaker 2: lot more Just the Cat's coming up right after.
- 32:42Speaker 5: This, Tomo. Come on, come on, come on, nap to
- 33:16Speaker 5: Steve Man.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Can you see that? I'm not afraid? What was that, prody?
- 33:27Speaker 1: Why won't you.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Tell me what you say?
- 33:30Speaker 6: It?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Po to four one four fourteen fifty if you want
- 33:34Speaker 2: to text in on the Whiskey Thief text line.
- 33:36Speaker 4: Uh.
- 33:36Speaker 2: One person said, UH can't wait for Pope finish? Uh
- 33:40Speaker 2: for for Pope to finish this? Uh next team. All
- 33:44Speaker 2: the dumb fans trashing him need to go back to Ohio.
- 33:48Speaker 2: This fan base is just dumb. It's positive for Monday.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I mean, let's let's be positive on Monday. But I'm
- 33:56Speaker 2: with him right there. Let's just wait and see. I've
- 33:59Speaker 2: been waiting. See, I can understand a little bit of
- 34:02Speaker 2: the panic mode, especially when you know you're seeing your
- 34:06Speaker 2: teams that surround you are are succeeding at recruiting and
- 34:11Speaker 2: Mark Pope hasn't been succeeding at it. So your team's
- 34:14Speaker 2: not doing that great. But I think I think we're
- 34:16Speaker 2: having a strong finish. I'm looking forward to seeing how
- 34:21Speaker 2: it finishes. A lot more people justin are saying that now,
- 34:25Speaker 2: as I predicted last week, Malcob Marino will be coming back.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Uh.
- 34:30Speaker 2: And then Frank Kepnong arrived in Lexington over the weekend.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Why why are you shaking your head no and rolling
- 34:37Speaker 1: your eyes with that.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Frank Kepnong is just not gonna be a pivotal piece
- 34:41Speaker 3: to this team. I'm here to tell you he's just not.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Is he an upgrade from you know, your buddy Brandon Garrison?
- 34:51Speaker 3: No, see, I think he is. Oh, I don't think
- 34:53Speaker 3: he is. Why do you think it's actually a pretty
- 34:56Speaker 3: significant downgrade for Brandon Garrison, which is really I thought
- 35:00Speaker 3: on Brandon Garrison. You know how I feel about him.
- 35:02Speaker 3: That's that's the same.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I don't.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I don't think Kepnok's gonna be I don't know. I
- 35:07Speaker 3: just don't think he's gonna be pressed into action all
- 35:09Speaker 3: that much. I made the comment what a couple of
- 35:11Speaker 3: weeks ago that I can expect to see Enjaii more
- 35:13Speaker 3: than Kepnov, and I still probably so.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I don't necessarily agree disagree with that, but I still
- 35:20Speaker 2: think he's he's a step up compared to Brandon Garrison.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I'm not gonna knock him that low. I know you
- 35:27Speaker 2: like to, but I'm not gonna do that. I listen,
- 35:30Speaker 2: the only issue is the whole injury thing. He's suffered
- 35:34Speaker 2: a lot of injury, and that's why he's playing a
- 35:36Speaker 2: what a seventh year? Yeah, and uh so let's let's
- 35:41Speaker 2: just wait and see before we start saying he's not
- 35:44Speaker 2: gonna be I just, I just.
- 35:46Speaker 3: I don't think he's gonna be I mean, he may
- 35:48Speaker 3: get five six minutes a game. I just I can't
- 35:52Speaker 3: imagine he's gonna see any more time than that, especially
- 35:55Speaker 3: if you get Malaca Moreino to come back, and you
- 35:58Speaker 3: if the rumors are true about mom Chilli, the if
- 36:00Speaker 3: he joins the fold, I just I don't think there's
- 36:02Speaker 3: really gonna be the space for kept.
- 36:05Speaker 2: I'm not convincing Mom, Tchelovic, So I'm just gonna tell
- 36:08Speaker 2: you that right now, I'm not I am. I'm a
- 36:10Speaker 2: little nervous about that one. Especially it's not necessarily U
- 36:15Speaker 2: of L. I'm nervous about. It's Saint John's. I mean,
- 36:17Speaker 2: that's the one program I'm worried that he goes to,
- 36:21Speaker 2: without a doubt, Louisville.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Like we said last week, Louisville can't afford it. They
- 36:24Speaker 3: they'd have to I don't know, somehow work out a
- 36:28Speaker 3: deal where he would he would come on the cheap,
- 36:30Speaker 3: And I just I don't see that happening for I
- 36:31Speaker 3: don't know.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I don't know if it's the money that I think
- 36:36Speaker 2: U of L can afford it, even though they've already
- 36:38Speaker 2: spent a ton of money. I think they can afford it.
- 36:41Speaker 2: But it's just where are you gonna fit him? Where
- 36:43Speaker 2: does he fit on that team? And uh, Ian, I
- 36:46Speaker 2: look at this and think that you know this, Mom Tellevick,
- 36:49Speaker 2: what do you think? Does he come to Kentucky, does
- 36:52Speaker 2: he go to U of L, or does he go
- 36:53Speaker 2: to Saint John's.
- 36:54Speaker 6: To be honest, I don't think I see Saint John's
- 36:56Speaker 6: at all in the equation.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Do you not really because I could, I could depletely
- 37:00Speaker 1: disagree with you, but go ahead.
- 37:02Speaker 5: I don't.
- 37:03Speaker 6: I don't think it's I don't think he really fits
- 37:04Speaker 6: a system of Saint John's, Like he's a big three
- 37:07Speaker 6: point shooter. I on think the system compared to Louisville
- 37:09Speaker 6: in Kentucky. You know how big they are three point
- 37:11Speaker 6: shooting teams they are. I don't think like I think.
- 37:14Speaker 6: I don't know his names. I'm sorry by Butcher that, but.
- 37:18Speaker 2: You're going to fit really well in in this show
- 37:21Speaker 2: with that, Okay, I just want you to. I'm looking
- 37:23Speaker 2: at a big, beautiful smile from Justin. He can tell
- 37:25Speaker 2: you why after you finish your statement, but go ahead again.
- 37:28Speaker 5: But Milan, honest, he's a heavy three point shooter.
- 37:31Speaker 6: I don't see him going to some program that's not
- 37:34Speaker 6: all about that compared to Louisville, Kentucky. So I feel
- 37:36Speaker 6: like it's gonna be a very big neck and neck
- 37:38Speaker 6: battle between you and the el Kentucky.
- 37:40Speaker 5: I definitely think you though, has the bag. Like we're
- 37:42Speaker 5: just we're kind of loaded right now.
- 37:43Speaker 4: We're Louisville.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Don't worry and Michael can't say names.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Thanks? Is there anything nice you could ever say about me.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I say nice things about you all the time. I'm
- 37:57Speaker 3: not blowing your head up this morning. Get out of here.
- 38:01Speaker 7: Uh.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Michelle wants to know does Ian have a Twitter account.
- 38:06Speaker 6: I don't have like a media Twitter account. It's it's
- 38:08Speaker 6: just my regular Twitter account, that'd be.
- 38:10Speaker 4: That's okay.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I do you not want to share your personal Twitter account?
- 38:16Speaker 1: Are you a little afraid of that?
- 38:17Speaker 6: I'm thinking I'm allowed to share. I'll share it. It's
- 38:20Speaker 6: what it's here. It's Ian Blaneford eighty five. That's what
- 38:23Speaker 6: it is. That's my Twitter account right there. If you
- 38:25Speaker 6: want to follow that, you can. It's not gonna be
- 38:27Speaker 6: anything about media.
- 38:28Speaker 5: I probably probably will post a few like basketball games
- 38:31Speaker 5: here and there, or like some U of L means.
- 38:33Speaker 5: But that's all you're gonna really get is that it's
- 38:37Speaker 5: Ian with an I. Yes, house would you spell Ian in?
- 38:41Speaker 5: I don't know there is yeah people.
- 38:43Speaker 2: I have literally never heard anybody spell Ian with an E.
- 38:48Speaker 5: There has been a few times.
- 38:49Speaker 6: I've seen a Chick fil a few times, I think
- 38:50Speaker 6: even with the I A I in. I think I
- 38:54Speaker 6: saw that one time. That was pretty strange, or I
- 38:57Speaker 6: A E in. I've seen people do that as well. Really,
- 39:03Speaker 6: sometimes I don't I don't get why they don't like
- 39:05Speaker 6: the spell name.
- 39:06Speaker 2: And sometimes I know, well, you know, my sister named
- 39:09Speaker 2: my niece Ashley mm hmm, and it messes me up
- 39:13Speaker 2: every time because are you ready for how she spells
- 39:18Speaker 2: Ashley a s h l E.
- 39:22Speaker 6: I bribes me nuts would nuts with.
- 39:26Speaker 3: An I wait, no g h on the end of it.
- 39:28Speaker 3: It just stops at the eye Ashley. No, there's no gh. Yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 3: because every now and then you see l ee l
- 39:40Speaker 3: e I g H. You're right, I didn't think about that.
- 39:42Speaker 5: Well.
- 39:42Speaker 1: To me, Ashley is a s h l e y.
- 39:46Speaker 6: I was thinking that too, to be honest, Yeah, yeah,
- 39:49Speaker 6: I agree with that.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Ian, You've blown my mind with the whole spelling
- 39:53Speaker 2: your name. I have never seen to me, it's I
- 39:56Speaker 2: a n that's Ian.
- 39:58Speaker 6: I believe that was Ei. There's some just don't understand
- 40:01Speaker 6: that sometimes. And to be honest, sometimes I would hear
- 40:04Speaker 6: my name, but they're not saying my name. Like my
- 40:07Speaker 6: football coach. He had this deep Southern accent, so when
- 40:10Speaker 6: he'd say in, he'd.
- 40:11Speaker 5: Be like them.
- 40:12Speaker 6: So I would like, look over to my head coach,
- 40:15Speaker 6: he's just nowhere near looking at me like, oh, he
- 40:18Speaker 6: said in Yeah, he gave me confused all the time
- 40:20Speaker 6: with a deep long.
- 40:21Speaker 2: As long as he wouldn't. You know, you're not named Blake,
- 40:24Speaker 2: and he was calling you blocky, so it.
- 40:26Speaker 6: Was funny funny about that. Actually, my h my nickname
- 40:29Speaker 6: in high school was block.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Why was your nickname in high school? Block?
- 40:36Speaker 6: They said it because my I had a square head shape,
- 40:39Speaker 6: So they call me block square or cube back in
- 40:42Speaker 6: high school.
- 40:42Speaker 1: And I like this, that should be your Twitter account
- 40:46Speaker 1: right there, but blockhead, yeah, when he should be blockhead
- 40:55Speaker 1: with an I.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Then Josh texts it out. U of L would have
- 41:02Speaker 2: to pawn the twenty thirty National Championship Trophy at Little
- 41:07Speaker 2: John's Derby Jewelry to a four month hill evic.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Well, apparently we don't have the twenty thirteen championship parallelm.
- 41:16Speaker 1: No, apparently nothing.
- 41:17Speaker 5: You do not have it.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I'm just letting you know.
- 41:19Speaker 5: I guess it's not worthy of anything. I guess.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I am so sorry.
- 41:24Speaker 2: But I mean, anytime I see a reference to Little
- 41:27Speaker 2: John's Derby Jewelry is just great. Have you ever seen
- 41:30Speaker 2: those commercials before? I love those commercials justin I don't
- 41:34Speaker 2: think I have but the only Oh you have it?
- 41:36Speaker 3: Do they do?
- 41:36Speaker 1: Like the Yeah, well it's it's this.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Little uh and I'm not making fun of him. It
- 41:43Speaker 2: puts a smile on my face. My face when I
- 41:46Speaker 2: see Little John. He's this little Asian gentleman and he
- 41:50Speaker 2: calls himself Little John, and he owns a pawnshop. I
- 41:53Speaker 2: couldn't tell you where it is. They should become a
- 41:55Speaker 2: client now. They should advertise on the show because it
- 41:58Speaker 2: would put pure will in my eyes if I advertise
- 42:02Speaker 2: for a Little John Derby jewelry store. Yes, that that's fantastic.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Text Air Josh. One person said, lots of people go
- 42:11Speaker 2: to college for seven years are called doctors. Get the reference?
- 42:17Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like my professor like, yeah, we don't.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Say it now, Ian, because you get the reference? Justin?
- 42:24Speaker 1: Do you get the reference?
- 42:25Speaker 3: I don't think I does get it?
- 42:28Speaker 1: Really all right? Ian? Do you know where that quote
- 42:33Speaker 1: is from? Okay? Absolutely?
- 42:35Speaker 2: Now, don't say the movie if you know where it's from.
- 42:40Speaker 1: But do you know it? You don't know it? Do
- 42:41Speaker 1: you justin? Do you know it?
- 42:47Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, these make me feel so stupid every time.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Is it meet the parents? Meet them?
- 42:55Speaker 4: No?
- 42:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Tommy Boy, Tommy God, Oh my gosh, you guys are
- 43:01Speaker 2: killing me.
- 43:02Speaker 3: I've never seen you, never watched Tommy Boy. Never.
- 43:05Speaker 5: I love Chris Farlan.
- 43:07Speaker 2: What you're gonna you're gonna learn a lot ian about Justin.
- 43:10Speaker 2: It's in every bit, every little bit that you learn,
- 43:13Speaker 2: you're gonna be absolutely amazed. Yeah, he doesn't watch movies.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I don't.
- 43:18Speaker 3: And if I do watch movies, I watch the same
- 43:21Speaker 3: probably twenty five over and over and over.
- 43:23Speaker 5: That's like meckey.
- 43:24Speaker 2: One person said, this team is one piece away and
- 43:27Speaker 2: it's top fifteen, and you still don't know what you're
- 43:30Speaker 2: getting from Hawthorne and Nade.
- 43:33Speaker 6: Well, talk about UK right now, say that again. We'll
- 43:37Speaker 6: talk about UK top fifteen. Yes, I don't even know
- 43:41Speaker 6: about top thirty five.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Ooh oh, now he's fighting. Okay, all right, then listen.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I I don't I wouldn't say top thirty five. I
- 43:53Speaker 2: would say they're outside the top twenty five looking in
- 43:57Speaker 2: if I'm completely honest. But uh Malachi makes the official announcement.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Mam Jelovic comes back comes to UK. I start thinking
- 44:07Speaker 2: this is a top twenty team at least, might not
- 44:10Speaker 2: be Top fifteen or better. But it's at least a
- 44:13Speaker 2: top twenty team. Justin am I missing something here because
- 44:17Speaker 2: I do like zoom In uh Malachai. I think some
- 44:23Speaker 2: of the players will improve that are coming back. We're
- 44:27Speaker 2: am I just putting my blue shades on and thinking
- 44:31Speaker 2: this is going to be a good team.
- 44:33Speaker 3: I don't think so. I mean, if you do get
- 44:35Speaker 3: Malachi back, I don't have the highest faith in Malachi,
- 44:38Speaker 3: but I do think he'll be improved versus what he
- 44:41Speaker 3: was last year. You get mam Chilovich to come in,
- 44:44Speaker 3: that is a huge get and all of a sudden, yeah,
- 44:47Speaker 3: you gotta look at this team differently because you what
- 44:50Speaker 3: was the one thing that's been lacking the past couple
- 44:52Speaker 3: of years. Point guard play. You've got several point guards
- 44:55Speaker 3: on the roster now and shooting, and you've got You've
- 44:58Speaker 3: got Cam Williams as a You've got at that point,
- 45:02Speaker 3: Mam Chilovich is a shoot. I think you would have
- 45:04Speaker 3: a lot of the boxes checked that you need to
- 45:06Speaker 3: have checked going into a season. Now. That being said,
- 45:09Speaker 3: that's the hard part with the transfer portal stuff is
- 45:12Speaker 3: we never know how all these pieces are gonna fit together.
- 45:14Speaker 3: But I do think you have the foundation for a
- 45:17Speaker 3: team that could be pretty solid under Mark Pope.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Are they one piece away from a top fifteen? Do
- 45:23Speaker 1: you think?
- 45:25Speaker 6: I think mom Killovich can definitely get that top fifteen piece.
- 45:28Speaker 6: I feel like if they do somehow, in some way
- 45:31Speaker 6: get mom Killovick, I could possibly see a top fifteen
- 45:34Speaker 6: maybe because he's he's he's that really good of a player.
- 45:36Speaker 6: I believe they can really take him to the next
- 45:38Speaker 6: stuff or UK but that actually happens.
- 45:40Speaker 3: That's that's my thoughts as well. I mean, he's he
- 45:42Speaker 3: is that one piece that would propel them to another
- 45:45Speaker 3: level truly.
- 45:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Yeah, And so that that would be a fun way
- 45:50Speaker 2: to end it. And I think maybe Mark Pope would
- 45:54Speaker 2: recapture a good portion of the fan base. I don't
- 45:57Speaker 2: think even with bringing mom Chellovic, I don't think her
- 46:00Speaker 2: back a lot of all the fan base. And I
- 46:04Speaker 2: don't think I'm wrong about that, but I think he
- 46:06Speaker 2: brings back a good portion of it. Let's see how
- 46:09Speaker 2: the season playouts, and then we'll make a decision after that.
- 46:11Speaker 2: So uh, but anyway, we gotta take a break. Five
- 46:14Speaker 2: oh two three eight four fourteen fifty You want to
- 46:16Speaker 2: call in five O two four one four fourteen fifty

- 47:04Speaker 2: All right, Ian acquiring minds want to know do you
- 47:07Speaker 2: want to say what your dad's name is?
- 47:09Speaker 5: Oh, my dad's name is Dean Blandford. Dean, Yeah, Dean Dean?
- 47:13Speaker 1: Yes? Okay?
- 47:15Speaker 3: Is why is that that name is ridiculously familiar? Dean
- 47:19Speaker 3: Weber Dean Blandford.
- 47:23Speaker 6: He's he works for Standard Sales, so he's a he's
- 47:26Speaker 6: uh he he works for the Beard Distribute, like for events,
- 47:30Speaker 6: so he'll like do all the bearers distribution for Loiso
- 47:35Speaker 6: athletics usually and Lower than life as well, and what wow?
- 47:40Speaker 5: Yeah, the Lower than Life in Bourbon beyonds.
- 47:42Speaker 6: And he's also he also does a bed distribution as
- 47:45Speaker 6: well for the Churchill Downs.
- 47:47Speaker 5: I remember that Darren Derby as well. He gets really busying.
- 47:49Speaker 2: That sign nice so so uh, I bet the parties
- 47:52Speaker 2: at your house are absolutely amazing because he probably gets
- 47:55Speaker 2: free product.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Is that fair to say?
- 47:58Speaker 6: Yes, he does get free product. But the thing is,
- 48:00Speaker 6: we don't ever have parties in our house anymore. It's
- 48:02Speaker 6: we haven't done like a like a big house party
- 48:04Speaker 6: with like friends in a while.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Well, you know, if if you have too much product,
- 48:10Speaker 2: you know, my friend over here, especially on the fireball side,
- 48:13Speaker 2: if you you know, if you.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Get fireball over there.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Justin has a real problem with fireballs.
- 48:19Speaker 6: I don't think it's there's no liquor. There's no liquor
- 48:21Speaker 6: at all. It's a straight beer, straight beer. I'm good
- 48:25Speaker 6: with that.
- 48:26Speaker 5: I like light beer as well, I believe.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:30Speaker 2: And it probably puts you on a lockdown when it
- 48:31Speaker 2: comes to having any kind of alcohol.
- 48:33Speaker 5: I can't drank. I'm under age.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, exactly, you cannot.
- 48:38Speaker 5: So uh.
- 48:39Speaker 2: One person texted in Little John had a cambio in
- 48:42Speaker 2: the Murder and glitter Ball City series on HBO.
- 48:46Speaker 3: I still need to watch that.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I need to watch it as well.
- 48:50Speaker 2: I mean, I'm now I'm real just because Little John
- 48:54Speaker 2: is in this I now have to watch you get
- 48:57Speaker 2: on YouTube and you look up during the break little John.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Ian?
- 49:01Speaker 2: Do you even know who Little John is? See, we
- 49:05Speaker 2: all know who Little John is. If Justin doesn't have
- 49:07Speaker 2: any idea who Little John is.
- 49:11Speaker 3: I don't. I don't know this little Asian man you
- 49:13Speaker 3: speak of that's selling pond jewelry.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Well, he's a wizard.
- 49:17Speaker 2: I mean he is a wizard at you know, pawning
- 49:19Speaker 2: all your jewelry and doing phenomenal things for the Derby City.
- 49:23Speaker 1: I how else would you describe Little John enthusiastic?
- 49:28Speaker 2: I say, I think that's the perfect way to describe
- 49:31Speaker 2: an enthusiastic because that's not how you started this show.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Just let you know you were not enthusiastic about being
- 49:37Speaker 2: on this show. Well expect Wow. Uh, Ian Wilkes has
- 49:45Speaker 2: a nice Grasshoorse Burnham Square kind of a name. He
- 49:49Speaker 2: galloped Unbridled, the nineteen ninety Derby winner whose sire line
- 49:54Speaker 2: just produced Preakness Winter Napoleon solo.
- 49:56Speaker 1: I didn't know that. That's pretty cool, so uh all right.
- 50:01Speaker 3: By the way, weird that there were three grays in
- 50:03Speaker 3: that race, right.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Why is that weird?
- 50:06Speaker 3: I just I feel like that's an overabundance of gray
- 50:09Speaker 3: horses in one race.
- 50:11Speaker 6: You know that one of that one of the gray horses,
- 50:13Speaker 6: I can't remember his name is. I think it was
- 50:15Speaker 6: the great one.
- 50:16Speaker 1: What was his name? Great White?
- 50:17Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 50:18Speaker 6: I put a bet on him in the trifecta in
- 50:20Speaker 6: the Kentucky Derby, just for him to uh freak out
- 50:24Speaker 6: and this almost kills rider and by jumping on his back.
- 50:28Speaker 6: I was so disappointed to realize when he did.
- 50:30Speaker 1: That, Well you got your money back though, right, I
- 50:33Speaker 1: don't remember.
- 50:33Speaker 5: I don't I have not checked since.
- 50:36Speaker 3: What what type of what types of horse racing bets
- 50:39Speaker 3: do you make? And what's your what's your go to
- 50:41Speaker 3: bet to make?
- 50:42Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 50:42Speaker 6: I usually I usually make a good like win bet
- 50:45Speaker 6: and I always put the Japanese horse because it's never happens.
- 50:48Speaker 6: I believe it will happen one day, So that's why
- 50:49Speaker 6: I always do. For the Derby, I always put a
- 50:51Speaker 6: bet on a Japanese horse to win. And then I
- 50:53Speaker 6: also do a long shot sometimes because my brother Eli,
- 50:57Speaker 6: he won the He won fourhundred dollars off the rich
- 51:01Speaker 6: strike bed for a five dollar bet like four years back. Wow,
- 51:05Speaker 6: I he put that he loves to put a bet
- 51:07Speaker 6: in the long shot and he just happened to be
- 51:09Speaker 6: rich strike, so he put the bet on. He put
- 51:11Speaker 6: a five dollar bet on him and won four hundred
- 51:13Speaker 6: and sixty bucks off.
- 51:13Speaker 1: That you put some thought into your gambling. I appreciate that.
- 51:20Speaker 5: I'm a little thoughtful about it. My grandma she does.
- 51:23Speaker 6: She always does a gray horse every single year for
- 51:25Speaker 6: there because I'm pretty sure she she had won a
- 51:27Speaker 6: race like I don't know twenty five years back when
- 51:30Speaker 6: she was in her youth.
- 51:33Speaker 1: She ain't her. I'm scared to ask Kyle the lady is,
- 51:36Speaker 1: but we're not going to get.
- 51:37Speaker 5: Into don't worry about it.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Okay, good, thank you.
- 51:42Speaker 5: Always a horse because she won, like yeah race.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:46Speaker 5: Uh.
- 51:46Speaker 1: Let's talk a little bout about NBA. Uh.
- 51:49Speaker 2: So there is a particular player that has now won
- 51:52Speaker 2: it two years in a row. Uh and it is
- 51:55Speaker 2: only the fourteenth player in NBA history to do that.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Shay gilds Out, Alexander wins the NB It be a MVP.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Second year in a row. You're already shaking your head.
- 52:06Speaker 3: No, why, I just I'm so sick of just the
- 52:10Speaker 3: same guys winning this award every single year. Was there
- 52:13Speaker 3: anybody else more deserving in the NBA? This year?
- 52:18Speaker 2: Average thirty game the second only to Don Chick. I mean,
- 52:23Speaker 2: what do you think should have been Don Chik?
- 52:25Speaker 3: No? I mean, I'm kind of with e and he
- 52:27Speaker 3: was saying Wimby, I don't know. I don't know that
- 52:29Speaker 3: Wimby should have wanted well. I mean, if you look
- 52:31Speaker 3: at their team records, they're only separated by what two games?
- 52:35Speaker 3: And I think what Wimby did was more impressive. I mean,
- 52:38Speaker 3: we've we've grown to know what Shaye does.
- 52:40Speaker 4: I don't.
- 52:41Speaker 3: I'll be honest with you. I'm not a huge fan.
- 52:43Speaker 3: And that started this year. We all know of the
- 52:46Speaker 3: way that Shaye plays.
- 52:48Speaker 6: Of those thirty points came off bating alone. So we
- 52:50Speaker 6: can't even say you have thirty points per game? Can
- 52:52Speaker 6: we like, can we like cut that in half? Can
- 52:54Speaker 6: we like, can we just not include foul points as
- 52:57Speaker 6: a points per game? Like? Can we just like exclude that?
- 53:00Speaker 6: Do we exclude that? I bet you probably like fifteen
- 53:02Speaker 6: points per game?
- 53:03Speaker 1: So Ian, why do you think Wenbiyamas would have won it?
- 53:06Speaker 6: Because he doesn't falbaate like he's he's genuinely a good player,
- 53:10Speaker 6: doesn't actually use a foul ba to get points.
- 53:12Speaker 5: But it's it's Wenby. He's an alien. He's literally the alien.
- 53:18Speaker 1: That is true. I can't deny that right there.
- 53:20Speaker 2: But uh, I mean, but don't most guards try and
- 53:24Speaker 2: get the foul bait. I mean, name another one that
- 53:26Speaker 2: does not.
- 53:27Speaker 3: James Harden is really bad. After watching that game last night,
- 53:31Speaker 3: He's awful at it.
- 53:33Speaker 6: He was doing it back when he had that when
- 53:34Speaker 6: he was averaging forty though, but ohso he wasn't faubating.
- 53:38Speaker 6: Who's nearly as bad as as shot Shaye was. Shae
- 53:43Speaker 6: is probably the worst I've ever seen.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I but but you know, if they're calling it,
- 53:48Speaker 2: you can't blame him for to can you continue to
- 53:50Speaker 2: do it?
- 53:51Speaker 1: That's the problem.
- 53:51Speaker 2: If you want to blame anybody to me, guys, you
- 53:54Speaker 2: gotta blame the officiating. When officiating start stops calling those
- 53:59Speaker 2: foul then I think you'll see that go to the wayside.
- 54:02Speaker 2: But until that doesn't happen, they're gonna continue to do it.
- 54:05Speaker 2: And I'm convinced, justin Ian it's only going to get worse.
- 54:10Speaker 5: I believe there should be a technical for fallbating.
- 54:12Speaker 6: Che I think that should be I think it should
- 54:14Speaker 6: be the reverse effect, kind of like flopping. Be honest, yeah,
- 54:16Speaker 6: I think it should be exactly like that. If you
- 54:18Speaker 6: go fallbating for for two free throws, you do that,
- 54:21Speaker 6: you pump fake, and you if you try to like
- 54:23Speaker 6: go into the person, I feel like that should be
- 54:25Speaker 6: a foul on yourself or just trying to get some
- 54:27Speaker 6: free throws. I don't think it really should be allowed
- 54:29Speaker 6: to have two free throws off some stupid fallbating like that.
- 54:33Speaker 6: I think I think it really should be too two
- 54:35Speaker 6: free throws the other way, to be honest.
- 54:38Speaker 2: So if you do it that way, then that, yes,
- 54:41Speaker 2: that does stop it, and that creates that play from
- 54:43Speaker 2: going away. But justin I look at this and think,
- 54:46Speaker 2: I don't think they're ever gonna fix it. I think
- 54:48Speaker 2: it's gonna continue for the long haul and it'll always
- 54:51Speaker 2: be this way and just and just make the game
- 54:53Speaker 2: far worse.
- 54:54Speaker 3: I mean, the the NBA has got some very obvious issues,
- 54:57Speaker 3: and that I just think that's one of them. But
- 55:00Speaker 3: look at the end of the day, you can't hate
- 55:02Speaker 3: on Shay for getting the MVP. Look at his team.
- 55:05Speaker 3: They were had the best record in all of basketball.
- 55:07Speaker 3: They lost what eighteen games in the regular season, Like,
- 55:10Speaker 3: that's incredible, and he's a main reason as to why
- 55:13Speaker 3: they have the success they do. So at the end
- 55:15Speaker 3: of the day, I'm okay with him getting MVP, but yes,
- 55:18Speaker 3: there are some very clear issues that the NBA needs
- 55:22Speaker 3: to get fixed.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Well not only that, but the whole Oh I got
- 55:26Speaker 2: injured and you could see when they go play the replay,
- 55:29Speaker 2: nobody was even hit. I mean, I know your favorite
- 55:33Speaker 2: player is very much like that, and that's probably what
- 55:35Speaker 2: drives me crazy, is the most about him with Lebron James.
- 55:39Speaker 2: But I just until they go back and replay these things,
- 55:44Speaker 2: and you know what, if a player fakes injury, that
- 55:47Speaker 2: should just like with NFL, it should be charged a penalty.
- 55:51Speaker 2: The other team should be allowed it should be charged
- 55:54Speaker 2: a technical foul towards the other player that claimed he
- 55:57Speaker 2: was injured, and the other team goes and gets free rows.
- 56:00Speaker 2: And until they do something like that, it's just gonna
- 56:03Speaker 2: continue out there as well.
- 56:05Speaker 3: It is, Yeah, I mean, it's it's not going anywhere,
- 56:07Speaker 3: so I don't It's kind of like hoping that the
- 56:11Speaker 3: n C Double A goes back to the way that
- 56:13Speaker 3: they used to run things that that's not ever gonna happen.
- 56:16Speaker 3: And in the NBA they may make some strides towards
- 56:19Speaker 3: fixing this, but it'll it's never gonna go away.
- 56:22Speaker 2: No, Ian, do you think we've seen the last game
- 56:24Speaker 2: with Lebron James.
- 56:28Speaker 5: I'm gonna miss him. I'm definitely gonna miss him. I'm
- 56:31Speaker 5: not gonna miss him.
- 56:32Speaker 1: Are you really?
- 56:32Speaker 2: Are you being sincere about that? Are you a Lebron
- 56:35Speaker 2: James fan?
- 56:36Speaker 5: Kind of?
- 56:36Speaker 6: I used to be a big Lebron James fan, but
- 56:38Speaker 6: then I started switching to Jordan when I started seeing
- 56:40Speaker 6: him flopping like all crazy. To be honest, do you
- 56:41Speaker 6: remember that one video where he got I poked and
- 56:43Speaker 6: then he looks into the camera to see if they
- 56:45Speaker 6: would look at him.
- 56:48Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 56:49Speaker 5: You never seen the video? He like, He's like, oh my,
- 56:52Speaker 5: oh my eye? Oh are they looking like?
- 56:54Speaker 1: Oh my?
- 56:55Speaker 5: Oh? It's a fun It's a really hilarious video.
- 56:59Speaker 2: You gotta take a Yeah, I've got to go see that,
- 57:02Speaker 2: all right, justin I'll let you discuss it for a minute.
- 57:04Speaker 2: I know you've discussed it last week on your show,
- 57:07Speaker 2: But do you think we've seen the last of Lebron
- 57:09Speaker 2: James in the NBA.
- 57:12Speaker 3: I don't know. I kind of go back and forth, like,
- 57:14Speaker 3: if there's anybody that could continue to play, it would
- 57:18Speaker 3: be Lebron. Now, he was very vocal about how he
- 57:23Speaker 3: wasn't the guy this year and how he had to
- 57:25Speaker 3: take a third role, if you will, instead of being
- 57:29Speaker 3: the guy. He kind of took a back seat to
- 57:31Speaker 3: Reeves and Doncics when he was healthy. So I don't know.
- 57:34Speaker 3: I mean, I I honestly, I think Lebron could probably
- 57:38Speaker 3: play until he's about fifty. With the work he puts
- 57:40Speaker 3: in with his body and the way he eats and
- 57:42Speaker 3: takes care of himself. He's in probably the better shape
- 57:46Speaker 3: now than when he first got into the league, or
- 57:49Speaker 3: I definitively better shape now than when he first got
- 57:52Speaker 3: into the league. But he's I think he's still playing
- 57:54Speaker 3: at such a high level. I could see him running
- 57:56Speaker 3: it back for one more.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Why would you? That would be my question? You know,
- 58:00Speaker 2: how does Lebron James now forty two?
- 58:04Speaker 1: Okay? Why?
- 58:05Speaker 2: Well, he doesn't clearly doesn't need the money. Why would
- 58:09Speaker 2: you go and play another year? You're gone, You're you're
- 58:13Speaker 2: working hard. He just doesn't need to.
- 58:18Speaker 5: I would think it's first son, Bryce James.
- 58:20Speaker 1: To be honest, Yeah, do you think.
- 58:23Speaker 3: He hangs around for Bryce to get into the league.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Well, Bryce is getting pretty close. He's he is in college,
- 58:27Speaker 5: so I think he probably gonna give him one more year,
- 58:29Speaker 5: maybe maybe two. I think he could play so forty five,
- 58:31Speaker 5: to be honest, but I feel like he's only gonna
- 58:33Speaker 5: play one year with Price if he does make it
- 58:35Speaker 5: to the NBA like.
- 58:36Speaker 2: That, Okay, that would be that would make kind of
- 58:38Speaker 2: sense right there, play one year with both with one son,
- 58:42Speaker 2: and then however, along with Bronnie. But you know, if
- 58:45Speaker 2: he does not come back, how long does it take
- 58:48Speaker 2: the Lakers to get rid of and dump on Brownie?
- 58:52Speaker 5: I give it like six months.
- 58:55Speaker 2: That's six months longer than I would have thought. Come on, justin,
- 58:59Speaker 2: here's my aunt. Take the bias out and tell me
- 59:03Speaker 2: what's your think. But what's your take?
- 59:05Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think Broni's gonna be a part
- 59:08Speaker 3: of that franchise for very much longer anyways, even if
- 59:11Speaker 3: Lebron stays. But really, here's my thing. Lebron is getting
- 59:15Speaker 3: paid handsomely to play a kid's game. Like I know,
- 59:20Speaker 3: it's it's tough on your body traveling and in season
- 59:23Speaker 3: and all that, but you have a pretty lengthy offseason.
- 59:26Speaker 3: Plus if if you give up basketball, what's Lebron gonna do?
- 59:30Speaker 3: Like he's not good enough at golf to go that route.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Like I know he likes playing golf and he's gotten
- 59:35Speaker 3: a lot better, but I just think the dude would
- 59:38Speaker 3: be so bored without basketball, just wouldn't know what to do.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but he's certainly because you know, that's a that's
- 59:47Speaker 2: hard on anybody's body.
- 59:48Speaker 1: I don't care how old you are. And dude's forty
- 59:51Speaker 1: two years old.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Yes, that's young, but man, when you're gone that long,
- 59:55Speaker 2: just the travel alone, I don't see how you keep
- 59:58Speaker 2: up with that kind of stuff. I I respect those
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: guys that travel so much. I don't know if y'all
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: saw it or not. Somebody put on Twitter last week
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: the miles that certain NFL teams are going to be
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: doing just to play football, and I think it was
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: the Seahawks and the I'm just going from memory, the Giants,
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: I'm sorry, the forty nine ers that are like traveling
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: the most. It was like thirty some odd thousand miles
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: just in travel alone. Because you know, they're playing some
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: over in Europe. They got a fly across country to
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: play games. It's just amazing And people don't realize how
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: much that can take a toll on a person's body
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: and mental.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Ability to travel that much.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's not like they're flying with common folk,
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: you know, like they're all on private jets. They're they're
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: eating well on these planes. They got plenty of leg room.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: Like I don't.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: I don't feel bad at all for professional athletes that
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: have to travel.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I just don't.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Okay, well, I still to it still takes a toll
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: on you. You're right, they're they're traveling, uh, very comfortably.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: But man, that's still a how to travel. But uh,
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: I do want to talk about this for a second.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I don't know if y'all saw the video, not or
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Shaquille O'Neil getting his master's degree at LSU over the weekend.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I didn't neither of you saw this the video, but
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: I saw pictures. Okay you saw Wait, this is the
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: whole Charles Barklay thing. Yes, Okay, I thought that was awesome.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: So he kept a promise to his mom, even though
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: twenty six years ago he left school early to go
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: play in the NBA that he would always finish his education,
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: and not only did he graduate, but he got a
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: master's degree. Doesn't matter what degree it is, he got it,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: he completed it, kept his mom's promise and I and
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: he clearly doesn't need a college education. For the amount
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: of money that guy has, I mean, he's been exceptionally
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: successful in life.
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: I mean he's tied to I think over one hundred businesses.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: I mean, is it that many. Yeah, it's insane.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Because I love the I think we've talked about it before,
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: justin but you know, the little General commercial, that insurance commercial.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: He only only advertises for them because they were the
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: only people that would ensure him when he was in
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: college and had no money, so he kept a promise
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: to them. Of course, you know, he's tied to Papa John's,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: He's tied to who knows how many things. The guy
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: is just you can love him or hate him, but
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: he is so loyal and does not forget people from
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: the past that helped him and now he's helping them back.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: I just he's I think ring, he's a part of
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: ring the doorbell thing. I think he's a part of
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Ring and he owns a portion of that.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: I mean, he dude's loaded.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: Yeah, he's he's got his hands in about every cookie
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: jar he can.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so you kind of respect the fact that he
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: went back and kept his mom's problem. And I think
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: that kind of a cool story that he did something
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: like this. Is it something that do you look up
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: even though you probably don't remember watching Shaquille O'Neil play basketball,
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: But do you look up to him? Or he's just
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: some old guy that does TV announcing.
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: I don't, I don't. I wouldn't say I look out
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: the shack.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: Are you kidding me? And everybody looks up to shack?
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: Well, yeah, obviously, especially when you going to that point. Yeah,
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: I would. I do look up the shack. But now
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: I didn't see I didn't look him up to as
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: like an idol.
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: I say, if if any I look up to'd probably
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: be Rocky from the Rocky movies. But uh, Shaquille O'Neil.
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: It's definitely a business man.
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: Definitely somebody I would definitely maybe if I wanted to
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: be like a really big business like marketer or something
- 1:03:44Speaker 6: like that, I would definitely look the shack for that.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Well, I just think he's done a tremendous job, and
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: he's a great example to so many people out there.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: So I'm very biased about him.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: I've always even though he played at LSU and he
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: really didn't play on an NBA team I cared about,
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I always liked him.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I mean the same thing with Charles Barkley. He played
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: for Auburn and.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Then he played for a well, let me think, didn't
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: he play for the seventy six ers for a while.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Then he played for Arizona and am I missing somebody else?
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: I take Houston? That's right, he played for Houston. I
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: don't care about any of those teams, but I still
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: liked him from a distance. Is there a player out there?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I'll give you another one, Larry Bird. Larry Bird didn't
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: play for a team, Magic Johnson. I always looked up
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: to him. Is there a player out there? I'll say this,
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: Milt Wagner. I've always liked Milt Wagner, and yet he
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: played for U of L. Is there a player out
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: there justin that played for an opposing team that you
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: really liked and you still like to this day.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: There's not one that immediately comes to mind. I mean,
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: there's there's I've had now. If you wanted to go
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: the other route to talk about players that I couldn't stay,
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I could go on and on and on for taking no, no.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: No, because I think exactly because I think it's harder
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: to like the ones.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Tom Brady is another one for me. I can tell
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: you right now. Fernando Mendoza. I can tell you right
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: now how much I really like and appreciate Fernando Mendoza
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: because what he's done for so many people out there
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: at such a young career. I think he's going to
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: be a tremendous asset to the NFL. Ian there has
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: to be somebody out there from an opposing team that
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: you like, even though they play for a team you
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: don't really care about.
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: God, oh, that's that's tough. I'm like justin, I can't
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: really think when it's on of my head right now,
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: I got all right, go.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Mine would be Albert Pooholes as a Reds fan. Albert
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: pour the Reds up. But for some reason, yes, I
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: always liked Albert Pooholes. And I've never understood why.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: That's a great one right there, because you know, nobody
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: in our area. Well, with the exception when I was
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: younger when the Redbirds were the Triple A team. He
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: kind of liked the card and it was because you
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: would watch him play here in Louisville and then they
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: would go over to Saint Louis. But yeah, I think
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Albert Poolholtz is a phenomenal answer, because you're right, he
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: just he just ate up the Reds. I mean, I
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: don't know what it was about the Reds he would
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: get motivated about, but uh, it was just crazy. Sorry,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Ian and Justin you can come up with. No, let's
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: go ahead and take a break. Y'all think about it
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: and when we come back. I don't know if y'all
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: saw some crazy things that happened in Major League Baseball
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: over the weekend. And then John Wall admitted he did
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: something crazy. Yeah, besides the yeah, okay, we get it,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: thank you, nobody's watching you. Okay, we're not on YouTube today,
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: But John Wall admitted something that I thought kind of interesting.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: It was his little superstition that he felt like made
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: him play better. We'll talk about that soon as we
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: get back as well. Stay right, there a lot more
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: justic CAATs coming right up.
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: Answer somebody she did to Tom to.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: Oh what you gun.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Hoo, tell watch all.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: The all right, Michelle t uh text it out the goat.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Michael Jordan is here.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: She wasn't a fan of the Bulls, but she rooted
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: for Michael Jordans.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I think that's a good choice right there too.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: I wasn't much of a fan, but I liked Mike
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: and plus I don't like North Carolina and I like
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Michael Jordan's all right, Justin, did you besides Pooholtz?
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Is there somebody else?
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: No?
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: I didn't think about it during that break.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Thanks for taking the time. You're really committed.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: You are so committed to this show, and I really
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: appreciate that. Man, the content that you come up before
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: this show is just fantastic. Ian, did you think of
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: anybody while we're at break or did you take the
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: round of Justin Kaylin and completely forgot that?
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I put the little signmon on.
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: You, we don't worry. I do. I take my notes,
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: so I think for me, see.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Listen to that he takes notes Justin, So I appreciate that.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Do have another one for what it's worth, But okay.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Well it doesn't matter anymore. So Ian, take as much
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: time as you want for me.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: I think it's Aluke I take Luka Doncic. I'm not
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: I'm not a big Lakers fan. I've hated the Lakers
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: ever since he's moved to the Lakers. I've had I
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: just I've hated the Lakers. But I love watching him play.
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: It's just something about him, the way he's so different
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: compared to other players, the way he plays.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: I love watching Lucas.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I think that's a good one. Is that the only
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: one you came up with? That's okay? If you did know?
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: I thought of John Wall as well. He's a UK player,
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: but he's a really good person, like you know, off
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: the court, you know, I felt like he was a
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: good He's a really good guy off the court. And
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: like you remember that story he had with that one girl,
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: Like I thought that was a really emotional story, and
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: I thought he was a really really good person with that.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, just because you play on an opposing team
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: doesn't mean that they're bad people at all. And I
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: think that's what you look you look at the good
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: all right, go ahead, justin, who is the other person
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: you just miraculously came up with?
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: My other one? I was actually thinking about this earlier.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: I just didn't voice it. But my other one would
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: be Lamar Jackson. I mean, playing for Louisville, playing for
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: the Ravens. I'm a Steelers fan, so I should absolutely
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: hate Lamar Jackson. But kind of like what Ian was saying,
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: there's just something about the way he plays different than
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: everybody else. It's it's entertaining as all get out. I
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: love watching Lamar Jackson. Although I should absolutely hate that.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Dude, Why should you hate him because.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: He's a raven That is my least favorite.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I passed by their stadium yesterday. I'd never
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: see I'm driving the expressway. It's like, that's the right
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: it's all purple. Oh really, okay, yeah, I would rather
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: not waste all that money and just utilized toilet paper
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: where it's meant to be utilized. So uh, But speaking
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: about John Wall, because I think that's a great segue, Ian,
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: thank you very much. I don't know if y'all saw
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: this or not, but John Wall admitted that he would
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: wear the same socks as a good luck charm, not
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: only in college, because you know, you had to wear
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: a certain brand for college, then he had to wear
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: a certain brand only NBA approved in the NBA. Are
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: you ready because this sounds kind of crazy to me.
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: He was very particular about the socks that he would wear.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: He said it had to be Haynes's Crew socks that
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: were ultra cushioned, and they had to come from Walmart.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: So he would put those socks on first, and then
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: whatever UK sock or Washington Wizard sock he would have
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: to put on over that. To me, I'm thinking, that's
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: got to be the most uncomfortable thing in the world
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: to have two socks as you go out and play basketball.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: I don't really know what to say here. I was thinking,
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: as you were going through all that, I'm thinking, man,
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: John Wallas is really bougie. He needs the extra cushion socks.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: And then not that I know, because then you went
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: to he got him from Walmart and not exactly. Not
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: only is he wearing those, this Psyco's wearing two pairs
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: of socks. What are we doing?
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: To me?
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: That's really hot And I'm thinking, I don't know if
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: I would like my feet to be that hot as
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: I'm playing bass. Plus, he'd probably have to wear a
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: size bigger a shoe to get both socks in, don't
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: you think especially the Ultra I only know what Ultra
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: cushioned is Haines socks, But now I'm curious to see
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: if Haines Socks Ultra cushion gets sold out and their
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: stock price goes up immediately.
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: That screams that that's what's going on here, that he's
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: got some sort of endorsement deal with Haynes and they
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: came out and they're like, hey, John, we need you
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: to we need you to try to push this product.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: Say you wore them and they were the best when
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: you played. I think that's what's going on here. The
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: only thing I can think of.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Is that makes sense.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: But I kind of believe the story, and I think
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: this is something out there that I listen. The fact
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: that he would go because he had good money. Uh,
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: he could have stopped it when he made the NBA,
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: but he decided to stay keep doing it, going to
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: Walmart and buying Well, all right, here's the other question though.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Did he go to Walmart to buy the socks?
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: Absolutely, you wouldn't say specifically Walmart.
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: If you didn't go to Walmart.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: Unless you have an endorsement deal with Walmart.
- 1:13:03Speaker 5: That could be the case. But I what's your endorsement deals. Man,
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: you an adorsement deals? Are you trying to get an
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: adorsement from Walmart? Is that what you want?
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I might as well.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: I mean, I need all kinds of endorsements, and if
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: you'd like to go out there and get some endorsements
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: for me, I would really appreciate that.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: But I love this.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: Because he fully admitted a lot of this stuff because
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: he was the good luck charm they're saying for the
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Washington Wizards. You know, they invited John Wall to be
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: a part of the pick and they wanted him to
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: be the good luck charm. And John Wall took in
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: an extra step. He took his I think it was
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: his mom's necklace, who has since passed unfortunately, but his
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: mom's favorite necklace he took to the NBA draft so
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: it would bring Washington Wizard's good luck to get the
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: number one draft pick, and all of it worked. Now,
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: don't don't you think the Wizard should invite John Wall
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: every single year and John needs to bring his uh
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: ultra cushion, Walmart, Haynes socks and his mom's favorite necklace.
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: I believe so, yes, absolutely, I think I think if
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: the Wizards really want to you know, possibly have a
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: playoff run next year.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: I think it's sad. I think it's best for them
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: to do that.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: I do too, I don't think. I don't see how
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: you change up. Don't don't change the juju. You got
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: to keep the juju going.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: Look credit to John Wall for wearing Haynes socks in
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: his playing days. I mean that you hear stories of
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: athletes all the time going broke. That's because they're out
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: buying Louis Vatan socks. But no, John Wall is like,
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: I'm good with my Haynes.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: I'm good. You think they're wearing Louis Vatan socks in
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: the NBA.
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: I think would Jason boogie guy, He's a he's a
- 1:14:51Speaker 6: boogie boy, he would do that.
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: I agree.
- 1:14:55Speaker 6: Okay, I can see I can see Shae wearing some
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: Louisiton socks or women Yama because he's French.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Well, I mean, he's bougie when he comes into and
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: leaves the stadium. So yeah, But but he's not gonna
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: wear those on the court, is he?
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: You never know, Well, actually he's not gonna. That's against
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: the NBA policy probably, so it's probably not.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: No that Again, it's against the NBA policy for John
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: wallby wearing those Haynes socks. But he did it because
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: he put the socks on the the approved socks for
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: the NBA on the outside, so Shane could wear.
- 1:15:24Speaker 6: Those if it was a good luck chron But I
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: don't think he's just gonna wear that and nobody could
- 1:15:29Speaker 6: see it.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: That's a good point, Okay, All right, then, fair enough?
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: How much MLB did y'all watch as far as the
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: video clips this weekend? Because I watched a few of them,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: and there were some unique things that happened with Major
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: League Baseball Saturday. I don't know if you saw the
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: play where Kansas City was playing the Cardinals and uh,
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: wasn't it uh uh Bobby Witt Junior, Well, I'm for
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: getting who it was.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I think it was. The Cardinals were at bat.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: There was a rally happening and they were trying to
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: get Kansas City was trying to get a player out.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: They throw the ball to home. The catcher catches it
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: and throws it wildly out to left field, but the
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: third baseman did an incredible heads up play and acted
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: as if he caught the ball and tagged the runner
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: on third and the third base runner did not go anywhere,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: and the third base coach just I loved every second
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: it lost his mind telling the runner to go and
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: he didn't go.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: So that heads up play, I mean, that's got to
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: be one of the best plays I've ever seen, even
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: though he didn't even have the ball. What a way
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: to think, quick on your feet like that to make
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: sure certain they don't get another run.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: I mean, absolutely moronic though, that the third baseman or
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: the third base coach couldn't get it to the runner
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: to go, like, dude, I'm not gonna steer you wrong,
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: I'm not trying to get you thrown out of here.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Maybe you listen to me.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I was just completely shocked. I'm right
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: there with you because the third base coach knows and
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: the runner clearly is not listening to him. It's like,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Even the batter at home or the next batter is
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: out there saying run, run, come home, come home, and
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: he didn't listen. This is major league baseball, this is
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: not peewee baseball. And the fact that he didn't pay
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: attention to any of them at all and stayed there
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: on third base, it's just amazing.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: When you brought up that game specifically, I thought you
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: were going to bring up the tarps off section. Did
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: you see any other Oh? I saw that too, Yeah,
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: bring it up. So you had all these Cardinal fans
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: in a tarp's off section just take off their shirts
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: and they were going absolutely bananas, which led to a
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: Cardinal's win. And then Ali Marmold, their manager, comes out,
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: and he says, hey, I got to get them here
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: every game. He ends up buying tickets for that whole
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: section and just offered under the public for free.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: What wasn't it two sections? I think it was two sections.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: And I'm like you, I didn't realize the coach and
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: the manager had bought them tickets. I think that's great
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: because it gets the crowd into the game, and it
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: got that whole stadium into the game, which I don't know.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I'm like you.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: I still have a hard time with the Cardinals. I mean,
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: they constantly beat up on our reds. But did you
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: see any of that play over the weekend in.
- 1:18:31Speaker 5: I didn't see the tarpoff thing.
- 1:18:33Speaker 6: But speaking of that third base, I think that that
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: that base run probably get sent down the Triple A
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: for that stuff.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Oh, I don't agree. Terrible for me.
- 1:18:44Speaker 6: It's terrible, listener. I think I think you should just
- 1:18:45Speaker 6: be sent down for alone if you can't. If you can't,
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: I'm like, I got that Nick Sabing mentality. You know,
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: if you don't do it right, you ain't playing. We
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: call that the Kurt Signetti.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Oh geez, yeah, Ian, Now you just got a taste
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: of my life every day right there.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: I met some people over the weekend that are huge
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: IU fans, and I'm like, yeah, he wants to call
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: in sometime. Then he says, you know, I'm an IU fan.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, you would make only one person in
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: my show excited. That would be my producer.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Smoke him if you got him.
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, enough of that. Cubs White Sox, let's talk
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: about that. Pete Crow Armstrong loses it in the outfield
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: as the Cubs are playing the White Sox.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Did you see that play? Miss that one? Okay, so Ian,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: did you see this play?
- 1:19:38Speaker 5: I did see?
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: So PCA goes out there to try phenomenal attempt to
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: try and catch a fly ball out there?
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Miss is it?
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: He hits the fence, falls to the ground, and there
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: is a lady on the other side of the fence
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: that loses her mind and starts calling him everything in
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: the world, chirping at him, yelling like crazy. The funny
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: part is clearly her boyfriend is not a white Sox fan.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: He has a Cubs jersey on is trying to hold
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: her back, and then Pete crow Armstrong starts chirping back.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: A lot of people are on both sides of this.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: Some are saying that PCA should have said nothing, Some
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: are saying that the woman should have said nothing to him.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: Where do you think this goes? And did the lady
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: go too far chewing him out? And should Pete crow
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: Armstrong had just walked away and not said anything to
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: the opposing teams fan go.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: Ahead of you?
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: Well, he makes more money, so I don't think he
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: really should care what she says. To be honest, He's
- 1:20:45Speaker 6: making like, I don't know, twenty plus million or something
- 1:20:48Speaker 6: like that compared to her, so I don't think he
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: should really be giving a care about what she said,
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: and she probably just he should have walked away, to
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: be honest.
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: In my opinion, I'm of the same mindset. I mean,
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: whole thing is ridiculous. I don't know why athletes let
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: fans get under their skin. It's like the whole PGA thing.
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: Did you see that this weekend? Michael with Rory someone
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: and he cried like a baby, like who cares that
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: that fan did not cost you this tournament? And the
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: same thing with PCA. If the Cubs ended up losing
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: that game, which I think they did, that fan was
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: not the reason as to why you lost that game.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: Now, but he just had a big hit where he
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: hit his whole body on the fence and fell backwards.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: I mean, he's not feeling good there he tried to
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: make the catch. You know, there's got to be fans
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: at every away game that they are chirping at him,
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: and I feel like sometimes you just you've had enough.
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: And you know that's a big rivalry between those the
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: White Sox and the Cups.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Well, and that's the thing.
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: This isn't Cubs and Padres like it, It's Cubs and
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: White Sox. That is one of aside from Yankees, Red
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: Sox might be the biggest rivalry in Major League Baseball exactly.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: So I'm like, how can he not say something back
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: to her? I mean, you got this fan just I
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: mean she was belligerent towards him. That's gotta be really
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: hard to just stand up and walk away from it.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: And I don't know, I just wish the fans would
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: settle down. I thought she was a little uncalled for
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: and shouldn't have said whatever she was saying.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I mean, she was really going after him.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: Finally, you just have enough of it, and you're five
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: feet away, only between a fence. So I don't know
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: if I necessarily blame him for saying something back to her.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: I mean, I just wish it it It never happened,
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: regardless if it's sports or outside of sports. There's a
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: certain way that we should carry ourselves. Yeah, and treat
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: everybody with respect. But that line gets a little blurred
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: when it comes to rivalries and it becomes a little
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: bit more tricky. But still, at the end of the day,
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: treat everybody how you want to be treated. Isn't that
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: the golden rule?
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: It is. I'm right there with you.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: Exactly what and what would the Pope think about?
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: Exactly?
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: It's it's Chicago white sucks. I think the public Vicara
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: upset that one. Exactly. You tell them, all right, we're
- 1:23:10Speaker 6: gonna take our last break. If you want to text
- 1:23:12Speaker 6: in and you can do that five O two four
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: one four fourteen fifty.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: I got a nice text. I'm gonna read to Justin
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: when we come back. But I do want to talk
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: about some NB, some PGA championship when we get back.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: And then I don't know if y'all saw the video
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: of the two planes out in Idaho. It's a crazy video.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: We'll talk about that as well when we get back.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: One last segment, just the cats coming right up.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: You liked the whole touch theme, don't you. Yeah, that's
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: a good one. It was a very good one. I'm
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: thoroughly impressed by it.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: Yeah, one person texted and we'll see if you're impressed
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: by this. Uh, Scoots became an I. You die hard
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: when they got good tisc tisk. My biggest beef with
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: the whole thing is that the nil market did not
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: determine getting Mendoza having a billionaire as a donor did.
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: I would support an I l if it truly were
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: market based.
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know what to tell you. We
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: we took advantage of a system that, in my opinion,
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: is probably broken, but we took advantage of it. So
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: I can't all.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Somebody tweeted out this morning and I don't have it
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: in front of me, the amount of money that schools
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: are in debt, Siracus, Duke, North Carolina, uh, and they're
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: all and we're talking millions of dollars that they are
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: in debt, and the fact that they're eliminating multiple jobs
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: on these university campuses. And it's really kind of sad,
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: and you gotta believe it's all due to one thing
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: in il the.
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: Whole notion also as well about me being not a
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: die hard until they got good, that's bogus. I went
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: to hundreds, probably not hundreds, but dozens of Indiana football
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: games when I was a kid. The amount of bad
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: Indiana football games that I've sat through to get the
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: reward that I've got now is that's just ludicrous to
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: say that.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: Well, thanks to Justin Caylin, I can tell you, Justin
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: Thomas should be giving you a thanking you because you
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: totally got him motivated to get out there in the
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: DGA Championship and play well. What is it with the
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: PG Championship that for some reason he plays really well?
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: He's won two of them, had the opportunity to win
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: a third one this weekend.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: But man, he just he woke up.
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: Yeah, he played well. I loved seeing that. I've just,
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: you've been clamoring for Justin Thomas to be back in
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: the in the good graces of golf and be really
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: good again. Yeah, haven't gotten that the last two three years.
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: So it's nice to nice that he was able to
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: play well, take advantage of the course a little bit,
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: and had hisself right there in contention for sure.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: Ian, are you much of a golfer?
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: Uh?
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: My brother is.
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: But I've never actually liked swung a club once. I've
- 1:26:44Speaker 6: only swung a club in like top golf. I've never
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: actually done like an actual course of golfing.
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: Okay, fair enough, Aaron what's his last name? Ray Ry
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: one right, as a lot of us know out there.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: But the other thing that was equally as impressive. Since
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: he won yesterday, a lot of people reminded us and
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: put a video of his wife hitting a golf ball
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: at the par three tournament at the Masters this past year.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: She has an incredible swing. I mean it is absolutely beautiful,
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: and she puts it right on the green, probably nine
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: to ten feet away from the hole.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: It was amazing to.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: Go back and watch that. I didn't pay attention because
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: I really didn't know who Aaron Raye was.
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: Did she wear two gloves as well?
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: You know, that's a good question. Let me see if
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: I still have the video. I doubt know she wore
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: one because I can't like.
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want to hate on the guy, but
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: wearing two gloves is such a deweed move. He looked
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: absolutely ridiculous out there.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: Why why is wearing two gloves ridiculous? Do you see
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: baseball players when they go to bat, some wear two gloves.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: They all make fun of gloves. Do you make fun
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: of them?
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: What's wrong with baseball and golf? You wear one glove?
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: You don't have anybody out there rocking two gloves. I
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: just think that's so stupid looking.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: Okay, all right, then there you go, so we won't
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: be talking about rocking two gloves and golf.
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: Did.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: I don't hate it rationally, man, I don't know why.
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: Every time it showed him on the screen and I
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: saw his freaking two gloves, I just lost my mind.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: Okay, well, I'm sorry you lost your mind. Did you
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: lose your mind during the uh? Netflix? Ronda Russi and
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: Gina Corrano fight which lasted all of fifty what's that
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: fIF fifteen seconds?
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Exactly? What do you think of that? She got?
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: Ronda Russi got two point two million dollars and fifteen
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: seconds of work and Corono got one point five one
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: point zho five million dollars?
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: What was this?
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: All?
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: Right? Ian?
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: I'll ask you first, cause I tend to think you
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: might be Well, you're definitely the voice of the youth?
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: Are you voice of reason? How do you explain this?
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: Do you think this was worth the time effort or
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: do you think it was just a complete scam.
- 1:29:01Speaker 6: I think it was a complete scam for that fight alone.
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: Stupid who wants to watch a fifteen second fight just
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: to watch the submission? I hate watching submissions that have
- 1:29:12Speaker 6: in like first round. If it's gonna be anything, that's
- 1:29:14Speaker 6: gonna happen in the first round and it finishes it early.
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: I wanted to be a knockout.
- 1:29:17Speaker 6: The submissions is boring, bland, to be honest, like, yeah,
- 1:29:21Speaker 6: there's a technique and mastery of all that, but I
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: really do not care for a arm bar by Rob
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: the Rousey because she does it all the time. It
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: was a pretty boring match, to be honest, And yeah,
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: getting paid two million for doing a single arm bar
- 1:29:34Speaker 6: is pretty pretty upsetting to me because like, I need money,
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: and why why is she getting two million for to do.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: That's right? I need money? Why does she get it?
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: That's that's not well, she gets it because she did
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: do a lot of work to get to that point.
- 1:29:49Speaker 5: But I'll get the cage for the cage. I'll get
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: in the cage for a good hour. I'll do that.
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: Would you really? Yeah, I think that's a fair question.
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: I didn't ian.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: What would it take you to get into the cage
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: with Ronda? How much would you have to be paid?
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Or what's the lowest amount you would take to get
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: beat up by Ronda Russi, because you're not beating her,
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: and neither would I. All three of us we can
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: safely say all three of us would get beat up by.
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: Her minimum like ten fifty K, ten K, fifty K.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: I just need money, you would do it ten thousand money.
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: I need the money. I take care of you. Be
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: great right now? So respect?
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: All right? Go ahead?
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: Justin what was the question I was supposed to answer?
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: How much would you get into.
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: A lot more than ten K.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: I mean it would be for me too.
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: I'd let her put me in an arm bar. I mean, heck,
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: she can snab my arm in half if she wants.
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: For two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: Holy cow, I was gonna say a hundred thousand, she
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: can put me, don't break my arm. But I mean
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: I'd be smiling the entire way.
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: To break the bar breaking your arm.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: No, you were giving her for two hundred and fifty thousand,
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: you'd have your arm.
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: Broken, break it, yeah, no problem.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Ah that No, I'm not doing that.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: But I just felt like this was a scam.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: I didn't like it. I mean, I don't feel like
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: this was ever a real fight, do you justin?
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: I mean it's it would have been the exact same
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: result had they fought ten years ago and they were
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: supposed to, it would have played out the exact same way.
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: So I don't really know why outside of money that
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: they ran it back. I know it was a big
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: draw for MVP, and as much as I disliked Jake Paul, like,
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: you gotta give him his flowers for being able to
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: schedule a fight like this like that. You had a
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: ton of people watching Netflix and an MMA event on
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: Netflix for crying out loud just because of those two.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: Well that was the last fake fight too, between Jake
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: Paul and Mike Dyson.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: Another fake fight.
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: I'm just getting to a point where I think it's
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: hurting the image of.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: Those kinds of bouts.
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: Nobody's going to watch the next one because they don't
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: know if it's gonna be real or not. Ronda Russi
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: said afterwards her and her husband are going to go
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: buy a house in Hawaii with that.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: Money, make more babies. Okay, well there you go.
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: One person said, Uh, Aaron Ray. Uh, he grew up
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: in wearing the gloves in England to keep his hands warm,
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: so that's why.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: So he just became accustomed.
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: Really okay, Uh two Millige Terry jets running into each other.
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: It looked like two birds mating. It was the craziest
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: thing I've ever seen in my life. I don't know
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: if both of y'all saw the video or not, justin
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: I think you did, I and I'm not.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: Sure that was okay?
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: Yeah, well I'm sorry, what'd you say?
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: It was crazy? It looked like two remote control airplanes.
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: It did not look real, and I thought, what the
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: heck's going on? And then thank goodness, you see the parachutes.
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: Everybody landed safely be a parachute, yeah, oh they did.
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: Everybody would. It's okay. But they said the military loss
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: between eighty to one hundred and thirty million dollars each
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: in those airplanes. So it cost us tax players anywhere
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: from one hundred and sixty to two hundred and sixty
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: million dollars just for that air show and that crash.
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: That was crazy. So Ian, you did a great job today,
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: my friend.
- 1:33:24Speaker 6: Of course, thank you. I had a great time being here.
- 1:33:27Speaker 6: I can't wait to do this again.
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: Well you were going to be welcome to come back again.
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: So only here on Monday for what it's worth.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Oh that's it. What are you doing the rest of
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: the time, Paul's market.
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: I gotta get money, okay, he's got I understand you
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: gotta get money. So well, I help you. We see
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: you next Monday. I look forward to it. So all right,
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: everybody appreciate you listening. Well, uh, well, we'll go ahead
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: and take off. We'll see you tomorrow and just the
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: cats have a great day.
- 1:34:00Speaker 8: It's all that's sad.
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: It's old fa
