- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. On Thursday, July 23rd, Jess Staley appeared before
- 0:08Speaker 1: Congress to talk about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And look,
- 0:13Speaker 1: I know this might shock you, but Jess Staley, according
- 0:17Speaker 1: to people that were there, wasn't exactly honest with the
- 0:19Speaker 1: committee about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And at some point,
- 0:25Speaker 1: you have to ask yourself, when is the committee going
- 0:28Speaker 1: to hold people accountable? when is the committee going to
- 0:31Speaker 1: start referring people to the DOJ? Now, of course, that
- 0:35Speaker 1: comes with its own issues, considering who's in charge at
- 0:38Speaker 1: the DOJ, but I think it's very important that Congress
- 0:42Speaker 1: does its job, and their job is oversight. So, obviously,
- 0:49Speaker 1: the DOJ didn't do their job correctly when they were
- 0:52Speaker 1: investigating all of this, and they didn't follow all of
- 0:55Speaker 1: the evidence wherever it led them. So now, Congress has
- 0:58Speaker 1: a chance to To sort of rectify that. Maybe not
- 1:02Speaker 1: to a point where we see justice. But at least
- 1:04Speaker 1: where we get a real investigation. Because. That hasn't happened yet.
- 1:10Speaker 1: There hasn't been a real investigation. When it comes to
- 1:12Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. And the shit he was up to. Ever. Okay.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Now you can say the Glenn Maxwell investigation. That was real.
- 1:21Speaker 1: But it was very narrow. And it was targeted. They
- 1:24Speaker 1: weren't going after the associates. Or. You know. The. Infrastructure.
- 1:29Speaker 1: They were going after Glenn Maxwell. And the reason that
- 1:31Speaker 1: the scope was so narrow is that they wanted to
- 1:34Speaker 1: control that blast radius. But I think that anybody who
- 1:36Speaker 1: has followed this story even a little bit knows that
- 1:39Speaker 1: Jess Staley and Jeffrey Epstein were a lot closer than
- 1:42Speaker 1: Jess Staley ever let on. And we also know that
- 1:45Speaker 1: Jess Staley has admitted that he had quote-unquote consensual sex
- 1:49Speaker 1: with one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants. So that opens up
- 1:54Speaker 1: a whole ass other can of worms, doesn't it? Today
- 1:58Speaker 1: we have an article from the New York Post and
- 2:00Speaker 1: the headline, Ex-Barclays Chief Jeff Staley tells House he's unsure
- 2:04Speaker 1: he met woman in a Snow White costume through Jeffrey Epstein.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I mean, it's just like with Doug Bandt. Oh, I
- 2:11Speaker 1: don't recall. I don't know. Don't you find that ridiculous?
- 2:16Speaker 1: I find it to be a waste of time. You
- 2:19Speaker 1: have this guy getting up there and all he says is,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't recall. Wasn't me. We weren't
- 2:24Speaker 1: really close. The whole thing. And I think the most
- 2:27Speaker 1: frustrating part about that is there's no way to prove
- 2:30Speaker 1: that he's telling a lie, right? If he says he
- 2:33Speaker 1: doesn't recall, well, unfortunately, we have to take his dumb
- 2:36Speaker 1: ass at his word. But I think Nancy Mace was
- 2:40Speaker 1: spot on when she asked him if he had memory
- 2:42Speaker 1: problems or if he was under the care of a
- 2:44Speaker 1: doctor due to memory problems. I thought that was a
- 2:47Speaker 1: pretty good comment because guess what? It's absurd. A man
- 2:52Speaker 1: like Jess Staley doesn't remember anything. How did he get
- 2:56Speaker 1: to the position he's in, as far as professionally or
- 3:00Speaker 1: was in? I'm sure he has some kind of, you know,
- 3:03Speaker 1: memory retention, and the same goes for Doug Bandt. This
- 3:07Speaker 1: article was authored by Josh Christensen. Former Barclays CEO Jess
- 3:14Speaker 1: Staley told a House panel Thursday that he was unsure
- 3:17Speaker 1: he met a woman who wore a snow-white costume through
- 3:20Speaker 1: convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a person familiar
- 3:24Speaker 1: with his closed-door interview. which is obviously a lie. We
- 3:28Speaker 1: know for a fact he spent time with Snow White.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But he's just going to get up there and lie
- 3:33Speaker 1: to the committee because he knows that there's no teeth.
- 3:36Speaker 1: What are they going to do? Issue him a subpoena
- 3:39Speaker 1: and then a strongly worded letter? How about we throw
- 3:43Speaker 1: somebody in prison? That would be nice. And again, when
- 3:46Speaker 1: we're talking about Epstein and trafficking, what do you think
- 3:50Speaker 1: he was doing with Jeff Staley? He was just being
- 3:52Speaker 1: a middleman? Oh yeah, I got this girl for you
- 3:54Speaker 1: and you know, I'll introduce you and then maybe, no,
- 3:58Speaker 1: they all knew what was coming, and the girl, here's
- 4:01Speaker 1: the important part, or woman, she knew what was expected
- 4:04Speaker 1: of her. The ex-Barclays chief maintained that he cut off
- 4:09Speaker 1: contact with Epstein after assuming control of the bank in 2015,
- 4:14Speaker 1: but revealed in other portions of his interview that he
- 4:17Speaker 1: had a sexual relationship with one of his finance pal's assistants,
- 4:21Speaker 1: while denying he had an encounter with a woman dressed
- 4:24Speaker 1: as Snow White. So now he's on record saying that. So,
- 4:27Speaker 1: let's find the woman who was dressed as Snow White.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You know, like a real investigation would. But I guess
- 4:33Speaker 1: they have other things to do. Way too busy doing
- 4:36Speaker 1: other things. But the Department of Justice released emails earlier
- 4:41Speaker 1: this year showing the two discussing the character among the 1,200
- 4:45Speaker 1: communications from Staley's email account as the head of J.P.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Morgan's private bank to his client Epstein's private email address
- 4:52Speaker 1: between 2008 and 2012. Maybe they're tracking you. That was fun.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Say hi to Snow White, Staley wrote to Epstein on
- 5:00Speaker 1: July 9th, 2010. I never met her, but you know,
- 5:05Speaker 1: say hello to her. I might want to meet her.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Say hello to her. How does he even know who
- 5:09Speaker 1: Snow White is? Did Epstein send him a picture for
- 5:11Speaker 1: his approval so he could bring her along? I have questions.
- 5:17Speaker 1: What character would you like next? Asked Epstein in response
- 5:20Speaker 1: the following day. Beauty and the Beast, Staley said. Epstein replied, well,
- 5:25Speaker 1: one side's available. Another unidentified person emailed Epstein on July 10th, 2010.
- 5:30Speaker 1: The Snow White was fucked twice as soon as she
- 5:35Speaker 1: put her costume on. Okay, who is Snow White and
- 5:38Speaker 1: who sent this email? And why would Todd Blanche and
- 5:42Speaker 1: Kash Patel and the rest of these morons tell us
- 5:44Speaker 1: there's nothing else to see and nobody to investigate and
- 5:47Speaker 1: nowhere to go? Unless, of course, there's a cover-up. Other
- 5:52Speaker 1: emails in the DOJ Epstein Library disclosed that the money
- 5:56Speaker 1: manager told an unidentified woman on June 20th, 2010, I
- 6:00Speaker 1: would love to take photos of you in a Snow
- 6:02Speaker 1: White costume. You can get it from the costume store.
- 6:05Speaker 1: We'll get it, the woman responded to him. So from
- 6:08Speaker 1: an investigative point of view, they have to find out
- 6:11Speaker 1: who that woman is, they already know, and they should
- 6:13Speaker 1: talk to her. And remember now, this is a criminal matter.
- 6:16Speaker 1: If what is being implied is true, we're talking about
- 6:19Speaker 1: a criminal matter. So there's certainly... levers that can be
- 6:23Speaker 1: pulled by the government to compel testimony. Staley also received
- 6:29Speaker 1: from Epstein an unsolicited photo of a woman on December 20th, 2009,
- 6:34Speaker 1: which has been redacted in court papers. A source familiar
- 6:37Speaker 1: with his oversight committee interview said he shared further details
- 6:40Speaker 1: about consensual sexual encounter with an Epstein assistant at the
- 6:44Speaker 1: disgraced financier's apartment in New York City. So he went
- 6:47Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein's apartment, right? And he had sex with
- 6:51Speaker 1: one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants who was being abused by
- 6:54Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. How is that not human trafficking? How is
- 6:59Speaker 1: that not Jeffrey Epstein hooking him up with a girl
- 7:02Speaker 1: that's already being abused that's in the pipeline? And all
- 7:05Speaker 1: the people that were pushing that narrative that there was
- 7:07Speaker 1: no human trafficking, they look dumber by the day. And
- 7:11Speaker 1: the credibility, if they ever had any, is getting shattered. Staley,
- 7:17Speaker 1: who resigned from Barclays in 2021 amid a UK investigation
- 7:21Speaker 1: into his financial ties to Epstein, had also previously denied
- 7:24Speaker 1: knowledge of his discussions with a now-deceased pedophile about a
- 7:28Speaker 1: woman dressed as a Disney princess during past court proceedings.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I really don't believe anything Jess Staley says, and that's because, well,
- 7:37Speaker 1: the dude's unbelievable. The emails were first cited in a
- 7:40Speaker 1: lawsuit brought by the U.S. Virgin Islands against J.P. Morgan
- 7:43Speaker 1: in for allegedly facilitating Epstein's sex trafficking. J.P. Morgan paid
- 7:48Speaker 1: out $ 75 million to settle that case with the Virgin
- 7:51Speaker 1: Islands and reached a confidential settlement with Staley. God knows
- 7:56Speaker 1: how much he paid them. And again, the Virgin Islands.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Getting a grip of dough. For what? What exactly did
- 8:02Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands suffer here? Besides eating at both ends
- 8:06Speaker 1: of the table. Besides their politicians making a bunch of money.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Besides people getting the largesse of Jeffrey Epstein. What exactly happened?
- 8:15Speaker 1: And how the hell did the USVI come out of
- 8:17Speaker 1: this looking like a victim? When in my opinion, they
- 8:22Speaker 1: were victimizers. At the very least, they enabled Jeffrey Epstein.
- 8:26Speaker 1: They protected him. They gave him all those tax benefits.
- 8:29Speaker 1: They let him do whatever he wanted on that island.
- 8:32Speaker 1: But sure, let's give them a shit ton of money.
- 8:36Speaker 1: In 2023, JP Morgan also paid out $ 290 million to
- 8:39Speaker 1: settle a lawsuit brought by Epstein's survivors. Staley was later
- 8:44Speaker 1: asked by the bank to remove all his accounts with
- 8:46Speaker 1: the bank due to his Epstein ties. The source said,
- 8:49Speaker 1: Imagine that shit. They want to get rid of Staley,
- 8:53Speaker 1: but they kept Epstein for all those years. And then
- 8:55Speaker 1: the other executives will act like they had no idea.
- 8:57Speaker 1: They did. We saw the emails. We saw what Mary
- 9:00Speaker 1: Erdos was saying. And to think Jamie Dimon had no
- 9:03Speaker 1: idea about Jeffrey Epstein is a very hard pill to swallow. Now,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I'm not saying Jamie Dimon knew exactly what he was doing.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But to act like Jamie Dimon had no idea who
- 9:13Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was? I just don't believe that. Oversight Committee
- 9:18Speaker 1: Chairman James Comer told reporters before the interview with Staley
- 9:22Speaker 1: that there were internal discussions that JP Morgan was concerned
- 9:26Speaker 1: about Epstein as a client, that he was a high-risk client,
- 9:29Speaker 1: but Jess Staley was the one person who continued to
- 9:32Speaker 1: defend Epstein. Well, that's why I told you he was
- 9:35Speaker 1: Epstein's white knight. Jess Staley was Epstein's everything in the
- 9:40Speaker 1: financial world. And without Jeff Staley, a lot of this
- 9:43Speaker 1: bullshit doesn't happen. Let's be real. Because it was very
- 9:48Speaker 1: important that Jeffrey Epstein had access to J.P. Morgan. And
- 9:53Speaker 1: that's what Jeff Staley brought, right? Access. We know that
- 9:56Speaker 1: he was very close friends to Mr. Epstein. Comer also said,
- 10:00Speaker 1: While the banker has denied a close relationship with Epstein
- 10:03Speaker 1: in court, Staley did acknowledge to the oversight panel that
- 10:06Speaker 1: he visited his one-time client during his 13 months in
- 10:10Speaker 1: a state prison in Florida starting in 2008. After pleading
- 10:14Speaker 1: guilty to soliciting sex from a minor, the source added,
- 10:18Speaker 1: he wasn't in prison. He was in a county stockade.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And he was only there for a few hours a day.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So let's not call it prison, okay? Prison is someplace
- 10:27Speaker 1: like Attica. Not the county stockade down in Palm Beach.
- 10:35Speaker 1: The source also indicated that Staley observed Epstein frequently withdraw
- 10:39Speaker 1: large amounts of cash from his J.P. Morgan account. Comer's
- 10:43Speaker 1: committee has conducted 19 interviews as part of its investigation
- 10:47Speaker 1: into the Justice Department's prosecution of Epstein, and release a
- 10:51Speaker 1: file about its probe into the deceased sex trafficker and
- 10:54Speaker 1: his convicted accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell. And if there's ever been
- 10:57Speaker 1: a bigger shitshow, I'd love to see it. Ex-Apollo Global
- 11:02Speaker 1: Management CEO Leon Black, one of those people previously interviewed
- 11:05Speaker 1: by the House Oversight Committee, is expected to turn over
- 11:08Speaker 1: non-disclosure agreements that he signed with women connected to Epstein.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Staley's attorney did not respond to her request for comment.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Probably a good decision, honestly. Because I think that Jess
- 11:20Speaker 1: Staley might be in trouble here, at the very least exposed.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So we'll see what Congress has to say, or what
- 11:26Speaker 1: they do, or if they refer him. But I think
- 11:29Speaker 1: that if anybody deserves an investigation at this point, it's
- 11:33Speaker 1: a guy that said he had consensual sex, quote-unquote, with
- 11:36Speaker 1: one of the girls that were being abused. We might
- 11:39Speaker 1: want to look into that. And I don't know, maybe
- 11:41Speaker 1: it's just me, but we should probably ask the girl
- 11:44Speaker 1: who he had consensual sex with, right? That might be
- 11:48Speaker 1: a good place to start. So we'll see what they
- 11:50Speaker 1: come up with and we'll see what Congress has to
- 11:53Speaker 1: say about Jess Daly and this testimony. And when we
- 11:57Speaker 1: get some more information, we'll get that added to the catalog.
- 12:01Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
- 12:03Speaker 1: found in the description box.
