- 0:20Speaker 1: Close your eyes. And make yourself comfortable. Take a deep
- 0:55Speaker 1: breath in through your nose. And slowly and gently breathe
- 1:02Speaker 1: out through your mouth. Again, take a deep breath in
- 1:10Speaker 1: through your nose. And slowly and gently breathe out through
- 1:17Speaker 1: your mouth. One more time. Deep breath in through your nose.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And slowly and gently breathe out through your mouth. Fantastic.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You're doing really, really well. Imagine that your feet feel
- 1:41Speaker 1: all floppy and loose, but very, very relaxed. Almost as
- 1:47Speaker 1: if they're falling asleep by themselves. And now all of
- 1:52Speaker 1: your body feels the same way too. All floppy and loose.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And you're so relaxed, but you feel ever so happy.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Now imagine that you have roots growing out from the
- 2:10Speaker 1: soles of your feet. Roots that look just like the
- 2:14Speaker 1: roots of a tree. Very long and very knobbly. And
- 2:20Speaker 1: you can hear your roots growing through the ground. And
- 2:25Speaker 1: you can hear them as they push their way through
- 2:27Speaker 1: the soil. And it tickles a little bit. Can you
- 2:31Speaker 1: feel it? Can you feel the soil under your feet?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Can you hear it? This is called grounding. And this
- 2:46Speaker 1: keeps your energy planted in the ground so that you
- 2:49Speaker 1: too and grow big and strong, just like the tree.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Now imagine a beautiful white light that's surrounding your whole body.
- 3:02Speaker 1: A light so bright that you shine much brighter than
- 3:07Speaker 1: the brightest star. But it doesn't hurt you to look
- 3:11Speaker 1: at it. And this beautiful, pure white light is always
- 3:17Speaker 1: protecting you, and it's with you always, Even if you
- 3:20Speaker 1: can't see it, it's always there. Now imagine that you're
- 3:28Speaker 1: standing on a bright pink path and it feels very
- 3:32Speaker 1: soft as you begin to walk on it. And as
- 3:37Speaker 1: you walk, it feels like your feet are sticking to
- 3:40Speaker 1: it a little bit. How strange. So you keep walking.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You look ahead of you and you see The path
- 3:49Speaker 1: is a bit windy. It's not straight at all. And
- 3:53Speaker 1: you wonder where it leads. So you decide to follow
- 3:57Speaker 1: it and see. And as you walk, you notice the
- 4:03Speaker 1: tall trees swaying gently in the breeze. And you can
- 4:07Speaker 1: hear the sounds of the birds singing to each other.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You can even hear some small animals scurrying in the grass.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And you wonder what they're doing. You think that they're
- 4:18Speaker 1: probably looking for something to eat or maybe just having
- 4:20Speaker 1: fun playing with their friends. You can't see them now.
- 4:24Speaker 1: They're moving far too quickly. You follow the path as
- 4:31Speaker 1: it snakes through the trees. And they are so tall,
- 4:35Speaker 1: these trees, that you can't see the top of them.
- 4:38Speaker 1: But you can see the sunshine breaking through the tops
- 4:40Speaker 1: of the branches, though. And it almost looks like stars
- 4:45Speaker 1: shining in the daylight as it peeks out through the
- 4:49Speaker 1: highest branches. Suddenly, you come across a bright pink fence
- 4:56Speaker 1: with a gate in the middle of it. And there's
- 5:00Speaker 1: a sign on the gate and it says, Please enter
- 5:03Speaker 1: if you want to have the best night's sleep ever. Well,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you think that sounds like a very good idea indeed.
- 5:12Speaker 1: The fence and the gate are made of the same
- 5:15Speaker 1: stuff that the path is made of. And you think
- 5:18Speaker 1: to yourself that the more you look at the fence
- 5:20Speaker 1: and the gate and the path, it kind of looks
- 5:24Speaker 1: like icing. Sticky, gooey icing. Well, that would explain why
- 5:31Speaker 1: your feet have been feeling like they were sticking to
- 5:33Speaker 1: the path now, wouldn't it? You open the gate and
- 5:38Speaker 1: walk through. On the other side of the gate is
- 5:43Speaker 1: something quite amazing. You can see big blue lake and
- 5:51Speaker 1: it has an island in the middle of it. The
- 5:54Speaker 1: pink sticky gooey path is still there and it leads
- 5:57Speaker 1: down to the water's edge where there is a little
- 5:59Speaker 1: boat waiting just for you. You hurry down the path
- 6:05Speaker 1: feeling ever so excited now and as you reach the
- 6:07Speaker 1: little boat you see that someone is waiting for you.
- 6:11Speaker 1: That someone is a very cheeky monkey with a big
- 6:14Speaker 1: grin on his face and he says Come on now,
- 6:17Speaker 1: come on, I've been waiting for you. The monkey has
- 6:22Speaker 1: on a stripy green and yellow t-shirt, bright orange shorts
- 6:26Speaker 1: and a big purple hat with a feather sticking out
- 6:28Speaker 1: of it. He's very colourful. You happily jump into the
- 6:34Speaker 1: boat and sit down next to the monkey, whose name
- 6:37Speaker 1: is Sausage, by the way. He says this is because
- 6:41Speaker 1: he just loves sausages. He has them for his breakfast.
- 6:47Speaker 1: He has them for his lunch. He has them for
- 6:50Speaker 1: his dinner. He even has them for a bedtime snack too.
- 6:55Speaker 1: My word, that's a lot of sausages. No wonder they
- 6:59Speaker 1: call him Sausage. And you think that if he keeps
- 7:02Speaker 1: eating that many sausages, he'll start to look like one.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Now that you've settled in your seat, Sausage begins to row.
- 7:13Speaker 1: He is really quite strong. and he seems to be
- 7:16Speaker 1: rowing very quickly indeed, because within minutes you've arrived at
- 7:21Speaker 1: the island in the middle of the lake. You jump
- 7:24Speaker 1: out of the boat and turn to thank Sausage for
- 7:26Speaker 1: bringing you here, but he's already off, he's rowing again.
- 7:31Speaker 1: He shouts goodbye but carries on rowing. Wow, he really
- 7:34Speaker 1: does row fast, he's halfway across the lake already. You
- 7:40Speaker 1: take a good look around you, and what you see
- 7:43Speaker 1: is wonderful. The whole island. Well, it looks like everything's
- 7:48Speaker 1: made of sweets. Oh my, I like sweets. There is
- 7:54Speaker 1: icing all over the ground and it's very spongy. The
- 7:59Speaker 1: trees are made of sweets. The flowers are made of sweets.
- 8:04Speaker 1: There are massive doughnuts all over the place. Doughnuts, yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: big doughnuts. Doughnuts with blue icing. Yellow icing. Chocolate icing,
- 8:15Speaker 1: every kind of icing. They're everywhere. And it's then you
- 8:21Speaker 1: see another sign. And this sign says, this is where
- 8:25Speaker 1: the sleepy doughnuts live, so please don't shout. Thank you.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Sleepy doughnuts? Who on earth could they be, you wonder?
- 8:36Speaker 1: As you take a closer look around, you see that
- 8:39Speaker 1: all the doughnuts are actually asleep. Some are sleeping in hammocks.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Some are sleeping on beanbags. And some of them are
- 8:49Speaker 1: just sitting propped up by the trees and are quietly
- 8:51Speaker 1: snoring as they slumber. Oh wow, you think this place
- 8:55Speaker 1: is so fabulous! You walk quietly around, taking care not
- 9:01Speaker 1: to wake the sleeping doughnut. And soon you come across
- 9:05Speaker 1: a little house. Now this house is made of licorice.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Red licorice. It has a marshmallow chimney. It has sponge
- 9:15Speaker 1: cake windows. And its roof is made of toffees. Lots
- 9:19Speaker 1: and lots of toffees. Ooh, they look ever so nice.
- 9:25Speaker 1: It has flowers all around it. And they're all made
- 9:29Speaker 1: of sweets. Sweets of every kind. How fantastic is that?
- 9:37Speaker 1: As you stand there, looking at the amazing little house,
- 9:41Speaker 1: you hear a voice call your name and it says...
- 9:44Speaker 1: Come in. I've been waiting for you to arrive. Sausage
- 9:47Speaker 1: told me you were coming. You've no idea how Sausage...
- 9:51Speaker 1: could have told him you were coming. Maybe he had
- 9:54Speaker 1: a mobile phone... and let him know that way. You
- 9:58Speaker 1: walk inside... and you see before you another great big donut.
- 10:04Speaker 1: This one is all covered in pink icing and he
- 10:08Speaker 1: has the most amazing sleepy brown eyes with the kindest
- 10:13Speaker 1: smile you have ever seen. He grins at you and
- 10:17Speaker 1: tells you his name is Cecil And this is Donut Island.
- 10:23Speaker 1: He already knows your name. He tells you that this
- 10:26Speaker 1: is the place to come if you want to have
- 10:28Speaker 1: a wonderful night's sleep. You look around the little house
- 10:34Speaker 1: and you see that it's enchanting. It has a little
- 10:38Speaker 1: log fire burning brightly and giving off the most wonderful glow.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It has donut-shaped beanbags everywhere. And there are little lamps
- 10:47Speaker 1: in each corner of the room. And there's a big
- 10:51Speaker 1: old bookcase filled with all the stories that you love best.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Cecil tells you to take a seat in one of
- 10:58Speaker 1: the beanbags. So you choose the most comfiest one and
- 11:03Speaker 1: sit down. Oh my, you think you could go to
- 11:08Speaker 1: sleep right now, it's so comfy. It's like this beanbag
- 11:13Speaker 1: was made to fit your body. Cecil hands you a
- 11:17Speaker 1: great big mug of hot chocolate to drink. It has
- 11:21Speaker 1: marshmallows in it and it has lovely thick squirty cream
- 11:25Speaker 1: on the top of it. Mmm, and it smells lovely.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You take a sip and it really is delicious. It
- 11:34Speaker 1: makes you feel all warm and tingly inside. Then Cecil
- 11:39Speaker 1: tells you that everyone that comes here, they come to
- 11:43Speaker 1: have a nap or to have a great night's sleep.
- 11:47Speaker 1: He asks you which one you would like. So you
- 11:50Speaker 1: tell him You would like a great night's sleep. Cecil
- 11:56Speaker 1: tells you that he can help you to sleep. He
- 11:59Speaker 1: tells you that he will make sure that this will
- 12:02Speaker 1: be your best night's sleep ever. First, he gives you
- 12:08Speaker 1: a marshmallow pillow. First, he gives you a marshmallow pillow
- 12:13Speaker 1: for your head. And you can rest it. Then he
- 12:18Speaker 1: places a marshmallow blanket on you. that is so soft
- 12:21Speaker 1: and squishy you can already feel yourself getting sleepy. Cecil
- 12:28Speaker 1: picks up a little bag and puts his hand inside.
- 12:32Speaker 1: And he tells you it's full of stardust. Twinkling, beautiful stardust.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And he takes some of it out with his hand
- 12:41Speaker 1: and he sprinkles it all over your head. Oh my.
- 12:46Speaker 1: You feel your eyes closing. you begin to feel your
- 12:49Speaker 1: feet falling asleep. Cecil tells you it's time to rest now.
- 12:56Speaker 1: After all, that is what you came here for. You
- 13:01Speaker 1: are all snuggled up on your beanbag now, with your
- 13:05Speaker 1: marshmallow pillow and your marshmallow blanket, feeling all yummy inside
- 13:11Speaker 1: with your hot chocolate drink. And your breathing starts to
- 13:17Speaker 1: slow down And your little eyes don't want to open.
- 13:24Speaker 1: You can feel yourself drifting to sleep. You can hear
- 13:31Speaker 1: Cecil's voice quietly in the background. You have no idea
- 13:36Speaker 1: what he's saying. You only know that you feel so
- 13:42Speaker 1: safe and so loved. As you drift deeper and deeper
- 13:48Speaker 1: into a lovely night's sleep. So just sleep now. And
- 13:55Speaker 1: with Cecil's help, you will have the sweetest dreams ever.
