- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: There's also a lot of giveaways on only fits and a lot of great news especially out of that head coaching search
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, well, excited to talk about the the latest in the dolphins head coaching search.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Been a pretty slow process, but I'm always a fan of a thorough look, especially with the new GM in charge.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think that a thorough approach is very important.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was alpha.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_03]: I mentioned that the last two head coaches, floor as a McDaniel.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: where the first coaches that were interviewed by the dolphins, and then were eventually offered the position.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think this one's gonna be a little more drawn now, especially with some of the coaches that we're gonna talk about still being in the playoffs.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think until basically everybody is available, or really not gonna see a ton of movement.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_03]: So I think this is gonna be a conversation that's gonna go on for a little bit, but nothing wrong with that, because there's plenty of them to talk about.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go ahead and start with this.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: The dolphins are officially in phase two of the reset.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Mike McDaniel is out, all right?
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: John Eric Sullivan is the new general manager and John Harbaugh is off the board.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's headed to New York.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: And now this dolphins organization, they're looking for something very specific, not innovation, not flash, but more so stability, credibility, consistency and structure.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to take a look at some of these head coaching candidates, see how they best pair with our new genre manager, John Eric Sullivan, see what their coaching trees, their influences, and what their potential coaching staff could look like, because that's how front offices actually think.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: Not just, okay, we got a head coach.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: We'll just let him figure it out.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's not how it goes, guys.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think that one of the biggest things when we talk about these head coaches that you really have to think about is the type of staff that they can put together all these guys know how to coach right if they didn't know how to coach we wouldn't be talking about them as a head coach and candidate, but you know anybody in the coaching world that you know has been a head coach at any level understands that you know you're assistants are you know where where your money is made really the same way that coach will say that your players right you can
- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: Coach all you want, but the players are the ones that got to put it on the field and a head coach right you get an offensive minded head coach in here that's great.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_03]: If he knows the X as a nose, but if he can't relay that to his assistants who relay that to the players, then it doesn't really matter.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that's going to be a huge part of this discussion is the type of coaching staff that these guys can put together.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, when you when you think about it, it's it's very similar to what you're asking your coaches to do with your players, if if you're in a real and a candidate and he doesn't have, you know, a bunch of guys that he's cross paths with that, you know, don't immediately stick out to him as guys that, you know, he really wants on to his staff because as a, as a head coach, part of your job is now granted your in charge of the football team.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: But you owe it to your coordinators because they're watching you up close to eventually become head coaches of their own one day as coordinators, your position coaches are watching you as a coordinator to become a coordinator one day.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: If you're ahead coach or if you're a perspective coach here, you need to show that you're able to develop the coaches that are working underneath you because if you can't develop those guys.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I, how can you be trusted with the 52 guys on the roster and making sure that you're putting them in the best possible position to succeed?
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: And look, General Manager, John Erich Sullivan's Green Bay background tells us everything about what he's looking for in a head coach.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: And
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: basically the roster construction philosophy.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: For the quarterback, it's about the timeline, not hoping for miracle.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's about teaching, growth, and development rather than talent chasing.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: The defense and the offensive line, they need to be structured and reduce any type of variance that happens on the field, because that's where your stability is.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: And as we said it,
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: both you, coach, and Eric, the staff quality matters much more than the scheme.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the biggest thing overall is that the head coach has to survive at a versity.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think there were some lessons learned with the last dolphins head coach, specifically Mike McDaniel.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: So all three of us are going to judge these candidates by one question.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: And this coach,
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: lower organizational risk.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: The dolphins have a pretty decent list of head coaches.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: They're interviewing, and I'll just go off the list right here.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: Anthony Campanelli, Patrick Graham, Jeff Hathley, Clint Clubey, Ike Jesse Minter, Robert Solid, Kelvin Shepard, Chris Shulah, Kevin Stephansky, and I feel like I might be a missed thing,
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: with the amount of people that are on there.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: The dolphins have already interviewed Kevin Stefansky.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_02]: They just finished up Robert Soli tonight.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: They finished Jesse Minzer earlier in the day.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: Click Kubi Echoes, one of the very first Zoom interviews, and they also interviewed Jeff Hathley.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: So that leaves Patrick Graham, Anthony Campanelli, Kelvin Schuppard, and Chris Schuller.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: Left.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: let's just put all of this.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I forgot.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Brady.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: How can we forget about the hometown kid from Hembroke Pines, Florida?
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: How can I forget?
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm from Hembroke Pines, Florida.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: How can I forget about Joe Brady?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: But guys, this is a big list.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: This is a really big list.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I've been through
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: You want to do your due diligence, right?
- 8:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think they have somewhat an idea of the direction that they want to go, right?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_03]: You don't go into something like this completely blind.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you go in and you probably have them ranked already somehow, right?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: And now these interview processes each, each level of these interviews kind of helps to shuffle that list.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_03]: Until you feel like you've done all the work that you need to do
- 8:29[SPEAKER_03]: put the offer out to the top guy that you have on your list.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I feel a lot better about this list being large than I would if it was only three or four candidates, right?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: You want them to be able to go out and talk to all these guys, right?
- 8:44[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe somebody comes in and really, you know, blows your socks off with their interview process and the plan that they have in place, right?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_03]: You don't want to go into a situation where you have four guys and it's like,
- 8:57[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, these guys are okay, let's let's go with this guy because he was the best of the group right if you have if you have 10 15 guys that you're talking to you're going to increase the likelihood that you're going to find the best of that group you know I so I I like the fact that they are doing it this way and like I said before like I think that there's no there's no reason not to do that right now some of the guys that they are talking to are still involved in the NFL playoffs they are still
- 9:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you're still really limited as far as the access that you can have to them.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_03]: So why sit around and do nothing, right, go, go talk to the guys that you can.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like Stefanski is he was let go by the Browns, right?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_03]: So that's the guy that you can come in and you can have for that in person interview.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: Now, as these other guys become available, get them in as soon as you can talk to them.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_03]: And then if there's somebody that you are still really interested in, then it's still in the playoffs, right?
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: Just, you know, keep.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_03]: Keep the wheels moving, right?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_03]: Keep moving forward until you figure out the best candidate.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Eric, it seems as if Kevin's to Fansky is a little bit popular with Dolphins fans and the media, and he was one of the very first interviews.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: Why do you think John Eric Sullivan likes him?
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think when it comes to a guy like Kevin's to Fansky,
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, I think that there is a track record of success.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: People take a look at the last three years in Cleveland.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that he kind of got a bad rap there.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you go out and you get saddled with the Sean Watts and at five years, 250 fully guaranteed.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: You have the Shidorah Sanders situation and Dilling Gabriel and that just quarterback mess
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: in Cleveland.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: But this is a guy that produced two 111 seasons in Cleveland in his first three years there in Cleveland.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's true.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: But the other the other thing with to Vansky that I really like is again, there's a
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's a clarity and there's an unwavering belief in holding to the things that he believes is true.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's got a strong conviction.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a guy that's going to completely change.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: And granted that is a part of what led to his departure from Cleveland at the end, but I'd rather have a coach who's going to stick to his guns than potentially,
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: change on a whim from game to game season to season.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that the first thing that you're looking for in this round of speed dating with all of these different head coaching candidates is are we on the same page philosophically?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do our football philosophies align?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: Everything else is downstream from that.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I think when you look at what Kevin's defense key does,
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: From an offensive standpoint and the way that you hear him talk about building a football team, it does sound like there's alignment there between him and John Erick Sullivan.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that along with some of the early success in Cleveland is something that's probably pretty enticing.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of quarterback volatility there, not a very supportive front office organization.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: It comes from the Gary Kubiak and Mike Zimmerline, so really good offensive structure in scheme and aggressive defensive style.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: So you're thinking of maybe his offensive coordinator pairing as a west coast play action type.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: of specialist.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not really familiar with the brown structure who Kevin Spansky had as often as a corner, but you're thinking more so someone along the lines of West Coast play action specialist outside zone, tap a system.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: And then for the defense, you're thinking of like a Brian Flores, James Schwartz type of mole that combines a 4-3 defense with aggressive
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: on the back end and your defensive line just feasts on offensive line.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: So coach, if Kevin's defense ski would be the next head coach of the Miami Dolphins, what should the offseason plan be?
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the big thing is going to be figuring out the quarterback situation, right?
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: That's thing number one and that's something that he never really got solved in Cleveland, right?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: Then went to the Sean Watson who, you know, all kinds of stuff went wrong there and they eventually went to the to the rookies this year.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know like that would be so in the interview process that would be one of the very first things that I'm asking Kevin Stephanski is where those decisions fell in terms of the Browns organization like was that.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's probably going to say that it wasn't him, right?
- 14:17[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't, I would know enough to those decisions if I was the one making them.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: I know the Browns owner did own up to it.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: He took, you know, responsibility for it.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_03]: But I think that would be the very first thing that you have to do.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: But I think that something that's defense he has done fairly well during his time in Cleveland is being able to adjust to those different,
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: person on the offense as a whole, right?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_03]: We've seen them move through several running backs, wide receivers, quarterbacks, right?
- 14:52[SPEAKER_03]: And he's always able to make it look competent, right?
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: And the Browns have not always had the top talent there.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: So in my opinion, his ability to adjust is going to be
- 15:07[SPEAKER_03]: very valuable moving forward.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think he has, you know, with the outside zone stuff that he has shown going back to, you know, the Nick Chubdays and stuff like that, then I think that stuff that can carry over well to Miami, you know, in terms of being able to adapt some of the things that they've done well.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't feel extra fancy is locked into one style.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like we talk about Mike McDaniel in the way
- 15:34[SPEAKER_03]: Even every time he seemed to expand his philosophies, it always ended up going back to outside zone being the primary thing.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_03]: Whereas the fans getting is a little more open-minded with that, and a little more willing to adjust to the personnel that he has on the field.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all right.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: The next guy we have on a list is Joe Brady, who came a little bit,
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: out of left field a little bit late into the game, right?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: Buffalo Bill's offense of coordinator, he would be a first time NFL head coach.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's evolved from, you know, that LSU wonder kid, you know, developing Joe Burrow to helping Josh Allen reach his peak, right?
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I feel like he would be the guy to help the quarterback
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: Whoever it is, if it's to a tongue of Iowa, if it's Zach Wilson, if it's Quinn Edwards on the roster right now, you know, amplify their game builder confidence early and run the ball and heavy set six offensive linemen tight hands, but outside of that, who is this staff going to be Eric.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: The younger coordinator type is I do have those concerns specifically when you go offensive guy and maybe that's just, you know,
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: and so you would hope he's kind of made those connections throughout the league.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: My concern would be once again, are we hiring a head coach for the quarterback position, or are we hiring a head coach for the football team?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that's where even among offensive, minded coaches, you know, I would prefer maybe a guy like Kubia,
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: just by virtue of being Gary Kubiexson probably has more established relationships throughout the league has been to New Orleans, has been in Seattle, has had a few stops along the way.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Brady, I like him, obviously listen, the local guys are going to get a shout out, you know, from from Pembroke Pines, that's I love that.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I like a lot of what he's done from an offensive standpoint philosophically, I just don't know, again, I have those concerns about, you know, what does your staff look like?
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I think, you know, with Clint Kubieck, that is actually a very valid concern to, you know, people who don't know how long Kubieck has been in the NFL.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: Certainly, you know, he's Gary Sun stems from the Mike Chan entry.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: He's coach alongside the likes of Mike Sherman to Sean Payton in New Orleans.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: To now Mike McDonald.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: He's coaching the number one offense.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: I will say the number one team in the NFC with a fantastic offense and they're going they're playing at home and they play the 49ers if I'm not mistaken in the division around.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Darnold has had a better year statistically I would say that he did in Minnesota
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: the run game is phenomenal.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive line is phenomenal.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Mike McDonough and that Seattle team, along with, you know, Clint Kubieck, really shorted up outside zone scheme, not necessarily same as Mike McDaniels, but
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Hubiak also has that play calling already under his belt compared to Mike McDonald and he has the leadership qualities and NFL connections to actually build a step.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: However, coach, do you think he's aligned with what John and Eric Sullivan is looking for?
- 20:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think so.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Clint Kubiak's experience kind of comes
- 20:13[SPEAKER_03]: as a surprise to me like to me feels like kind of a name that's come out of left field in a sense, not somebody that I feel like I've heard about in past seasons.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_03]: But when you go back and you look at the experience that he has, like I have concern, you know, with some of these guys have only been a coordinator for a year or two and now we're suddenly talking about them as a head coach, just talked about Joe Brady, right?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_03]: And he doesn't have a wide array
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: and a fellow experience.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, we talked about the ability to build a staff right that's a concern there.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_03]: But when you go back, you look at Clint Kubex experience.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he was, you know, a quarterbacks coach and then offensive coordinator with the Vikings.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_03]: He was a passing coordinator with the Broncos, passing game coordinator with the 49ers.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_03]: Offensive coordinator now with the Seahawks and an offensive coordinator with the Saints and there as well.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_03]: So he is,
- 21:07[SPEAKER_03]: bounce around several different organizations.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the way that you build those relationships.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's harder to come up through one organization, only talking to one group of coaches and then be able to draw them away.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_03]: But when you kind of bounce around to these different places and these other coaches, you you see how everybody else works, right?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_03]: So you
- 21:32[SPEAKER_03]: Other coaches have seen how Clint Kubiac works and if they have you know a high opinion of the way that he coaches the rooms that he's been in before even if you know it's been somebody hasn't coach with him since he was I don't know let's you know go back to.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_03]: the Vikings right going back to 2021 right even if they haven't posted them since then they know what kind of person he is and you can still draw from that so I think that you know his ability to to build a staff maybe better than some of these other guys it would come in as a first time head coach and you talked about some the difference between Mike McDaniel and in Clint Kubiak
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: you know, both descendants of that shanahan tree, but it feels like Mike McDaniel has kind of tried to evolve it further from the original version of it, whereas Clint Kubiak, whose dad was you know, Gary Kubiak, it seems a little closer to the original philosophies behind it, and we're not
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: re-invent the wheel, right?
- 22:40[SPEAKER_03]: McGangio took this offense and tried to turn into a very past-heavy, very two-of-focused offense, whereas Clint Kubiak, right?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think anybody, you know, Sam Donald, I don't think that we're going to sit here and call him in a leak quarterback, and yet Clint Kubiak is being able to put him in a system that, you know, makes him look
- 23:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know, have seen from Clint Kubiak.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel like, and I know I'm getting ahead of myself.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: For me personally, and I said it on the other show that we did with Elf on Scouting the Finns, that he would be my number one target and want to take a swing.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: You want to hot shot coordinator that has leadership experience, that has previous experience work with different types of core bags, different types of skill sets along a similar but different scheme with a wide depth of coaching staffs.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: that potentially be your or a guy.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we'll get into a little bit more of the rest of the coaching candidates but first, a word from our sponsors.

- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's go over the rest of the coaches on our list, let's start off with Patrick Graham, who also came in to the interviews a little bit late.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: Now, he used to be the defense coordinator for the Miami Dolphins.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: They actually really, really liked him.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm giving him an opportunity to come back and potentially become the next head of the show.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: He's a really good defense of coach, but more so a CEO style.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: He did well under Brian Flores, but I'm not so sure how confident I am in him because I've never seen him be a head coach.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't heard a lot of great things about Patrick Graham outside of just his defense has been good, but you take a look at the Raiders defense the last two years with Patrick Graham.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: Statistically it has been good, but he's also been devoid of talent.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: They've been up and down, but without some talent, you can't really be a lead.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_02]: I get that he's a teacher, he's a motivator, which is, you know, good for John Eric Sullivan, but what else is there at Patrick Graham?
- 29:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for you went down in Eric?
- 29:57[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, you got it.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_03]: I know I was just going to say that there's there's not a whole lot that excites me about Patrick Graham like I remember his time in Miami and then him you know moving to the giants as an assistant head coach and that kind of promotion really didn't make sense to me you know I think that when we talk about guys that are
- 30:21[SPEAKER_03]: motivators, right?
- 30:22[SPEAKER_03]: There's guys like Anthony Weaver that he gets in front of that microphone.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: He can just hold a room and you talk about guys like Anthony Campanillo.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: No, he, right?
- 30:31[SPEAKER_03]: He gets in front of the room and, you know, he'd get an entire room of men jacked up ready to go.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: From what I've seen from Patrick Graham, I don't see those type of personalities from him.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see the success on the field either.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, his defense was not all that great in Miami.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_03]: His defense has not been all that great with the Raiders.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, this to me feels very much like a filler type interview for me, again, right, cross near, crossing your T's, dotting your eyes.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it's an option, you know, we are some of these interviews being yes, you bring them in and you label it as a head coach interview, but maybe this is one of those that even though he's not going to be a head coach, maybe this is some of the circle back to and you look at him as a defensive coordinator, he did spend time with the packers back in 2018, right?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_03]: So there's some familiarity there with John Erick Sullivan as well.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_03]: Patrick Graham is a type of guy that you circle back and see if you want to be a defense coordinator.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: If he doesn't get picked up in this head coaching higher, but I can say that for me, if Patrick Graham is the choices head coach, that's just I have a hard time seeing myself getting excited about that one.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it kind of feels like a little bit of an uninspiring choice.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: If you're hiring Patrick Graham, it's surely because of the things that you're hearing behind the scenes about the way that he prepares his assistance and the way that, you know, he kind of goes about his business on a day-to-day basis.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of like you mentioned some
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: It hasn't been great, but the one thing that I will say about his coaching career is that he's done a good job of probably getting overachieving results out of units that aren't very talented.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: But that being said, again, I kind of fallen in line with co-chairic years, it would be a bit of an uninspiring,
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: higher overall just considering where you're at as a franchise right now and how pivotal this higher is going to be over the next three to five years.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: It feels really important to take any big swing and I just I don't see the big it feels like you would be hiring a guy to be a kind of a safe choice over the next couple years if you
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: Could you, you spoke really about Anthony Caponelli, the dolphin seemed to like him very much.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: former and current dolphin players also seem to like him very much assisted coaching Assisting coaches have taught him a lot.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_02]: He spent some time in Green Bay for a year Defense coordinator for the Jacksonville Jackals that a great defense and talented players as well You can say he's a meathead.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: He can really really motivate his guys Blake Ferguson said that Thursday meetings with Campanelli was probably the best of the week now with him
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: what would you do for the offensive stat?
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because you need to fix the quarterback is gonna be too low, is gonna be someone else, but what does the scheme that it look like?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: What does the staff gonna look like?
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they're gonna need something that's low variance, nothing super risky, but something that can run the ball, be play action, be play action heavy, that can also help his defensive, his defense side of the ball out.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_03]: So for camp and other like the the biggest hesitation that I would have with him is only being a coordinator for one season right I I would like to see somebody that's been in a position of control a little longer than what he has now he has had great results with the job wires can't can't dispute that and one thing I'll say about him is that there's a lot of familiarity here both with
- 34:51[SPEAKER_03]: the guys that are in the building today for the dolphins, they've seen him for the four years that he was there, as well as John Eric Sullivan.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_03]: So there's less unknown with somebody like that versus, let's say a Clint Kubiak that's never been in this building, never really been around.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what the offense would look like, but what I would like to see if Anthony Campanelli would be the choice as a head coach is to see more of that, you know,
- 35:19[SPEAKER_03]: as an offensive coordinator, maybe a Brian Dable, or somebody like that, right?
- 35:24[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of what Mike and Daniel tried to do with Vic Fange, you won the defense of side where Anthony Campanelli would be able to focus on being a head coach and helping out the defense.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_03]: And find that guy that is just kind of your stabilizing force on the offensive side of the ball.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: So that, I don't know what the answer there would be, because I don't think anybody does, right?
- 35:48[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody knows what kind of quarterback Anthony Campanelli wants other than.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'm sure that he wants a man's man is a quarter back.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, he's not going to go out and bring in the sugar Sanders or, you know, somebody with the quirky personality like that.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think at least, right?
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: Like I said, nobody knows, but I would prefer to see him kind of turn that side of the ball over to somebody else.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's been there preferably been there in a head coaching role and not separate himself from there.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_03]: need to feel like he needs to impose his, you know, philosophies on that side of the ball.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel like they'll only pairing that would work well with.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: an offensive coordinator, someone he's worked with before.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm thinking of Josh Grzard, who was a Dolphins former Light receiver coach, under Brian Flores, under Mike McDaniel.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: It was the offensive coordinator for Tampa Bay, but it was just, you know, fire.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: He was used at the scapegoat for Todd Bulls.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: And then as for the defense, he could bring in someone
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: from the Vic Fangeo tree, he could bring his staff with him in Jacksonville as well.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you know it could potentially be a defensive heavy draft in 2026 to really build out the defense get younger stronger faster and physical and let whoever the offensive staff is work.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: The next one we have is Jeff Hathley and Eric.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: This seems to be the most popular candidate for the dolphins, and he is favored to become the next head coach of the Miami dolphins.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: What are your thoughts?
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: And what do you know about Jeff Hathley that could and could not work?
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: So the one thing that I do like about Jeff Haffley is that he has some manner of head coaching experience at, you know, being the head coach at Boston College for a few years, you know, additionally he's also pretty well-traveled, you know, he's been with Tampa, he's been with San Francisco, he's been with Green Bay, so he has those established connections around the league.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: I guess, you know, I don't know how much him being favored, I would read into it.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think it's almost kind of a big default position because the dolphins are kind of an untarded territory right now and he's the guy that has the most immediate cache with John Eric Sullivan.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like I said, I like I like the experience.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: I like the defense that he had in Green Bay.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, you got pretty good results, both years in Green Bay with that defense.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Even though I think a lot of people will have a sour taste in their mouths, given the way Green Bay season ended.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think when you lose a micoparsons that it's really tough to, you know, get those that same level of results.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: would be the most intriguing thing is ideally you would be bringing somebody in that is philosophically in almost total alignment with John Eric Sullivan.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's not a guarantee that every coach that's in an organization with a guy in the front office is aligned in that way.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: But I have to imagine him being one of the first guys that they tabbed is wanting to interview
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so again, you know, I think when you're looking at a guy that has connections throughout the league, so I don't think he would have a problem putting together a staff and then number two, the just the philosophical kind of Alignment that he has was Sullivan and the experience actually being ahead coach And, and you know, having that coordinator experience as well.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: Jeff Hathley, while he has really good leadership skills, he made strides with Boston College within the NIL year, COVID situations, and just lackluster recruiting where Boston College is in the ACC.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_02]: Someone told me that his tenure as head coach was very mid.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_02]: It was average, right?
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: They were kind of mediocre, okay, but the one thing that really stands out to me is that embossed in college, he kind of struggled to hire good assistants in good coordinators.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: If you are a leader of men, if you were a head coach and especially in the NIL, arrow, if you can't build a good staff, if you can't build a good staff in college, how can you build a good staff?
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: in the NFL.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's just, that's just my piece right there.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: Bill O'Brien was able to go 7 and 7 with just his offensive skills and his staff then.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: Again, and I all recruited things like that.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: He went, what was it?
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think 2 and 10, that's he lost some coordinators and lost a lot of players to the portal.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: Ask for the defense corny and green bag.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: He got it done with the players he had, but they needed to go out and get Michael Parsons to at least rush the passer and make the defense decent after Michael Parsons went out after Devonti.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: Why I went out, Rashan Gary being, you know,
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: a non-factor in games.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: Their secondary also being out in and out.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he did what he can do.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: So he was able to get out through that adversity and do what he could.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know about the offensive side of the ball.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_02]: Great leader, very cool, calm, level headed, can teach.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive side of the ball, as well as where the money is going to be made, not just the defense, because if your defense is good, and your offense isn't, especially in the AFC East, playing up against potential, I'm going to be MVP candidate and Drake may and former MVP winner in Josh Allen, you got to keep up with that.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: All right, the next one, coach, you had something to say.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: All right, the next guy we have is Kelvin Shepard and this just makes me kind of one or that they're just trying to do their due diligence on Kelvin Shepard.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: Only been a deep physical coordinator for a year in Detroit.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like, you know, he would bring that tenacity, that toughness, you know, physical resilience to the team similar to what Dan Campbell
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: did add his, you know, interim position here in Miami and how he built that team in Detroit.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: But Kelvin Shepherd would be more so of a CEO tapahire and we've heard reports that Miami doesn't necessarily need a strong CEO type of guy.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so that leads me to believe that they want some type of schematic guide that knows how to build a roster that knows how to lead, but can also Functionally hold either the offensive side of the ball or defensive side of the ball and be successful with that.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know About that with Kelvin Shemford.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think this is another.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_03]: due diligence one, maybe because it was a former Dolphins player they wanted to give, kind of extend that olive branch to give the opportunity to interview as a head coach.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: But when you look at his coaching background so far, he only started coaching in 2021.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_03]: And every year that has been with the Detroit Lions, and his first four years there were as a linebacker's coach
- 44:12[SPEAKER_03]: So, really, you need to see a longer body of work from Calvin Shepherd for me to be comfortable with him as a head coach candidate, as an individual, but something that you talked about there at the top of the shows is the ability to build a coaching staff.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_03]: And when you've only got five years, and you've only been with the Detroit Lions, what kind of coaching staff is he really going to be able to build?
- 44:38[SPEAKER_03]: But you're almost
- 44:39[SPEAKER_03]: You know, feels like when when the cults went out and we're looking at Jeff Saturday right like you're you're bringing a guy that just played football and you're expecting him to build out a coaching staff.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to struggle with that and especially coming from the lines organization where.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_03]: a year ago, both of their coordinators left.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_03]: They've already promoted from within.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_03]: They've already moved guys up.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_03]: So what's really left over that's ready to, even if he could pull some of the guys from Detroit, are those guys ready for coordinator positions?
- 45:12[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, I just can't see the coaching staff that he would be able to put together at this point in his career.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_03]: But in a few years, based on the way that he coached into Detroit last year, he's probably going to be a hot name for the next couple of years,
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: earn himself a spot at some point I just don't think he's ready yet another hot name going around is actually the grandson of the best coach that the Miami Dolphins organization has had.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Dula, the Ram's defense coordinator, he's going to be coaching in the division all around.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: that name speaks and carries volume in Miami, especially in the organization.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: I got a little tidbit for what I've seen about Chris Shula.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: There's a tweet posted out there on Twitter where he was at the Glasier Symposium talking about how to effectively create turnovers, the type of turnovers, and he watched
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: all the plays of the turnovers that were created, charted them, analyze them, took a look at the defensive metrics, the EPA, and how they were created, whether it was man-made, whether it was scheme-made, or whether it was just luck.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: That is the kind of obsession you want out of a defensive coordinator, but also if you're able to teach that,
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: to a group of coaches, to a group of assistants, to people in the industry, you can teach.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: And if you can teach, you can also lead.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: However, Fris Shula has been the defense coordinator for how long coach.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_03]: Two years, a 2024 and 2025.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: Two years.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: But he's bounced around into different teams.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: He has experience in the NFL.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: He has connections in the NFL, can potentially build a staff, can take, you know, from the Rick from the McVay, Shanahan Tree for the offensive of potential take a guy like Nate Skillys, who's getting head coach and offensive coordinator opportunities learning under Sean McVay.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, why not this could potentially be the next wonder kit, Eric?
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to say something really unpopular.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: I know everyone says that it would be a great story and I agree.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: It would be a great story.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: It would be a fantastic story.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: However, for a guy that's got two years of coordinator experience
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: My guy that is still very young and he has had you know experience with multiple franchises in the NFL, but they both been in the southern California area between the Rams and the chargers.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: I, I don't know how fair it would be to him.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: for this to be his first opportunity, like to be really honest, it just, I worry that there would be expectations placed on him because of who he is and because of his relation to, you know, one of the greatest head coaches in history who had a lot of success down here.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: the job in front of him or would he be focused on living up to some standard that was set before him.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's, I mean, don't get me wrong with big story.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I worry about some of those outside things with him.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's going to be like a media thing too.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if the
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: Steven Ross is still the owner.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_02]: Steven Ross is going to have the cone as to hire a shoela.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, it's not going to look that good on him.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I think dolphins fans.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, no head coach for the dolphins after shoela and maybe Dave wanted to head.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_02]: I've lasted more than four years.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_02]: They have not lasted more than four years.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: Dave wanted to say to God, five years.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: And he got, I think you either walked away or got fired in the middle of his fifth year.
- 49:49[UNKNOWN]: Okay?
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: I put out a tweet at the end of the season saying, Mike McDaniel got a full four years.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_02]: It seemed as if he was safe and he would start his fifth year, but there was a very good chance he would be fired in the middle of his fifth year, if things spiraled again as it did in 2025 and Walaugh.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there was a video released earlier on Twitter where Darren Waller was selling Johnny Manzel on a podcast that you know, he was in his exit interview with Mike McDaniel, Stephen Ross, you know, kicks on the door, shows up and listens in.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, there's just this cloud of Stephen Ross listening in to a meeting with Mike McDaniel and Darren Waller, and it's like,
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: So this is a little bit awkward.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: Why is the owner sitting in on an exit interview?
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: And then, Darren Waller says, you know, he went away.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Got some assages in an hour later, he found out that Mike, we've done about something.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, that's the NFL is a brutal business, right?
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: You're never fully safe.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_03]: Can't get comfortable.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_03]: And I do think that they were still undecided on what they wanted to do with Mike McDaniel.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I got to get Ross credit for not.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it feels like he was slow in making this decision.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_03]: But it also feels like, you know, we hear something like that that it was like, OK, we've made the decision.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's time to pull the band down off.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_03]: according to other coaches and, you know, seeing if maybe there's something better out there.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, we kind of, I'm sure a weird experience for, for Darren Wall to go through his ex-internative with Mike Mutendo, then find out in our later that he's no longer the head coach, but, I mean, that's, that's the nature of the beast.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's the nature of the beast.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: And Chris Shula has worked under, you know,
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a way to fill up with the Rams.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's who will, that's who will year.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_02]: Who else has he worked under obviously the Sean with Vatri as well?
- 52:09[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of collaborative systems in place.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: He was with the Chargers from 2015.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just 2017, he was under John Bacano.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_02]: Bob Babich, which was Bobby Babich's dad, who was the Bill's defense coordinator, Chris Harris, as well.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: Craig Ockerman was actually the special teams coordinator at the time with the charger.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a little bit of, you know, familiarity and flexibility there where, you know, he knows some people.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_02]: All right, the last code we're going to get to you and I think he might be a dark horse in this process and his interview was completed earlier tonight Robert solid of
- 52:49[SPEAKER_02]: the San Francisco 49ers.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: This is the second state as a defensive coordinator for the 49ers.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_02]: He was the former head coach of the jets.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: And he has a bit of connection to John Eric Sullivan because the year he was fired with the jets, he also consulted with the packers on the defensive side of the ball.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: So that is a little bit interesting.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: And he's a former head coach, Eric, your thoughts.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I know that this is a candidate that a lot of people kind of look at and instinctively because of his chest 10-year kind of turn their nose up at Sala, but you know, he's a guy that I wouldn't mind being the team that gives him that second chance.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: you know, when you look at what he's able to do on the defensive side of the football, I mean, he's a fantastic defensive mind.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: Number two, I think he's a really good leader, you know, and the jets, they're the jets.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not to say that, not to sit here and act like the dolphins have been a model franchise over the last 20 or something odd years.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_01]: But Lisa now the judge.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, pretty much.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_01]: I look at Robert Salon.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I kind of point to him being a guy that I think got a little bit of a raw deal in New York just with a lot of the mess that kind of goes on there with the media and what have you in.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: the different controversies that inevitably come up as with the Jets organization throughout a season.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: Granted, he'll have his fair share of those in Miami, but I think the big thing that you have as an organizational theme with John Erick Sullivan and it's something that I really think Robert Solifitz and with is this theme of structure.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_01]: Um, that is, if you're looking for organizational structure, you're looking for a solid foundation.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think Sullivan at the top solos your head coach is a solid place to start and you can build out from there.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for me, like you said, you know, the vision of him being in New York Jets head coach.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_03]: Wipe the names and these resumes, they were all submitted anonymously like his would probably be at the top for me like I want I said before I don't necessarily want a first time head coach that's not what solid has I have some concerns with
- 55:35[SPEAKER_03]: a guy like Stephanski going straight from one head coaching position to another.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_03]: That's not what solid did.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_03]: Solid had a head coaching position, went back as a coordinator, had success again.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_03]: And it's now back on that coaching service.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_03]: This isn't a guy that's been in one location the entire time.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's built with the Texans, built with the Seahawks, the Jaguars, 49ers, Jets,
- 55:57[SPEAKER_03]: and the packers, right?
- 55:58[SPEAKER_03]: So he's been all over the place, has made a lot of connections.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_03]: And then in addition, right, one of the big things I like about Jeff Halfley is the fact that Sully has experience with him.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_03]: He knows we look like in the building.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_03]: Well, guess what?
- 56:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's seen the same thing with Robert Salas, seen the way that he works, right?
- 56:15[SPEAKER_03]: So for me, like, even though I don't like, the gesting, I don't like that, right?
- 56:22[SPEAKER_03]: But,
- 56:23[SPEAKER_03]: He checks damn near every box for me.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: So I agree that he could be a dark horse that really fits what I would like in the head coach.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_02]: And look, the jet's thing, not a lot of organization of support, okay?
- 56:34[SPEAKER_02]: The jet's back in 2021 and 2022, where, I mean,
- 56:39[SPEAKER_02]: 7, what was it?
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: 7 and 10 and 2022 with the New York Jets after what they've been through the last 10 decades?
- 56:44[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty, pretty impressive.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: And then just the pressure in New York, the New York media ownership, not being helpful, it's just, that's not a good situation to be in, okay?
- 56:55[SPEAKER_02]: He spent time under Pete Carroll, okay?
- 56:58[SPEAKER_02]: He was part of that Legion of Boom era on the defensive side of the
- 57:07[SPEAKER_02]: Under Gary Kubiak, as a defensive quality guy, has worked with Mike McDaniel, has worked with Matt LaFlor, has worked with Kyle Shanahan, has worked with Clay Kubiak and San Francisco who could potentially be an offensive coordinator guy.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, another, you know, understudy.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_02]: of Kyle Shannon, and he can also go back at the temperature, get a guy like Nathaniel Hackett.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: He can get a guy like Michael Flore as his offense according.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_02]: He has a breath of experience, has breath of connections in terms of the offensive side of the ball.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_02]: And if you bring Zay, West Coast type of guy, I mean, hey, the pieces are already there on the offensive, you know, for the offensive skill set.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, he's been hate for her head coach.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we list a lot of these positives, but talking about solid, he's a leader.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_02]: He is able to actually motivate his guys to do their jobs.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's able to build a quality defensive staff.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 58:16[SPEAKER_02]: We saw it in 2022 and 2023, like that's death's defense.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_02]: Even though they were devoid of talent with injuries, they were still playing hard.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they gave the dolphins a little bit of trouble in the Mike McDaniel era, but the dolphins were just extremely talented.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_02]: No one had figured out Mike McDaniel's offense just yet, but I mean, hey, they were in it for at least the first half of the game and then the dolphins just blew the door open.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_02]: Now in San Francisco.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: they have so many injuries on the defensive side of the ball that it is very, very impressive that they've reached the divisional round.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I really want to see how they do up against Kubiax office.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like that is the game to watch.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_02]: And if Robert Solay is able to slow them down with linebacker number four, linebacker number five, edge rusher number three, edge rusher number
- 59:18[SPEAKER_02]: That is a statement right there.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I really, really hope the Dolphins take a very hard look and make him a favorite to land this headcote and jump.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_02]: All right, folks, that is it here at Scouting Fins.
