- 1:14Speaker 3: while and Like I.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Said before, this is a very special episode because we
- 1:18Speaker 5: are here to review Captain America Brave New World that's
- 1:23Speaker 5: right in theaters this Friday.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I can't remember. February fifteenth? Is that fifteenth? Fourteenth? The fourteenth?
- 1:31Speaker 4: Dropping off Valentine's.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Interesting choice, interesting choice the date.
- 1:37Speaker 4: It's not a love you w movie, but it's a
- 1:39Speaker 4: tough date movie right here, You know what I mean?
- 1:41Speaker 4: This is like tough love right here. It is a
- 1:48Speaker 4: little bit of stuff like yeah, I'm not you know.
- 1:49Speaker 5: What I mean.
- 1:50Speaker 4: I just don't think this.
- 1:51Speaker 5: This is not a first date movie. This is an
- 1:53Speaker 5: established relationship. You gotta have an established relationship. Take you
- 1:57Speaker 5: to see this one.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Also to establish everyone of this stands, we are going
- 2:01Speaker 2: to potentially be revealing spoilers, so we are warning you now.
- 2:05Speaker 2: We're not going to be saying everything that happens in
- 2:07Speaker 2: the movie, but we will be revealing some things that
- 2:09Speaker 2: we've seen, as all three of us have seen advanced
- 2:12Speaker 2: media screening.
- 2:13Speaker 3: So this is your one and only final warning.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Thank you. Continue. Yeah, but it's not gonna be much
- 2:19Speaker 4: spoiled in it.
- 2:20Speaker 5: You know, more than you've already seen in the trailers,
- 2:22Speaker 5: Like you already know the big things if you've seen
- 2:24Speaker 5: the trailers, like the red Hole, because in.
- 2:26Speaker 4: This film, that's not a spoiler. Yeah, so I mean
- 2:29Speaker 4: beyond that that pops up that they don't show the trailer,
- 2:32Speaker 4: is that actually Posito is playing Sidewinder. That's not a spoiler. Yes. Yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 4: So I'm not ready to go get into much more
- 2:41Speaker 4: than that.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Okay, Well, my first thoughts on it overall was I
- 2:46Speaker 5: enjoyed it. I didn't like enjoy it where I was like,
- 2:49Speaker 5: oh my god, you know, this is the greatest joint ever. Yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 5: but you know, for a movie out in February for
- 2:56Speaker 5: Valentine's Day, this is a solid you know, Marvel flick.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Okay, Nadia, what was your general thoughts? Loved it? I
- 3:05Speaker 4: liked it.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I think it's I could a way to start twenty
- 3:08Speaker 1: twenty five.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I didn't love it.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It wasn't like a holy shit, blown out of like
- 3:13Speaker 1: blown out of my seat, like you gotta see this
- 3:15Speaker 1: like tonight. But I still really enjoyed it. I think
- 3:19Speaker 1: it's it's a good film for Sam, Like I think
- 3:22Speaker 1: he he shows us that he's like worthy of the shields.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I just think a lot of my like minor complaints
- 3:29Speaker 1: are more so like Marvel related MCU type stuff we
- 3:34Speaker 1: get into.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Okay, that's fair. I share both of you guys sentiments.
- 3:39Speaker 2: I thought, overall was a solid movie. It wasn't my favorite,
- 3:45Speaker 2: It wasn't bad. If you know grading it, I think
- 3:48Speaker 2: I graded it be minus C plus kind of right.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Middle of the Road has some strong points, has a
- 3:55Speaker 2: lot of notes from me as well, some things they
- 3:57Speaker 2: could have done without, but overall still the solid film
- 4:01Speaker 2: for most MCU watchers. I would say that I don't
- 4:05Speaker 2: think there's anything surprising that happens in this film. If
- 4:08Speaker 2: people were looking for something different or out of the
- 4:11Speaker 2: ordinary from the rest of what you've generally seen from Marvel,
- 4:15Speaker 2: I don't think you're gonna find it here, but you
- 4:17Speaker 2: will find solid screenplay writing.
- 4:19Speaker 3: And I know that sounds very plain and blab.
- 4:22Speaker 4: But that was not very like ooh, solid screenplay. Solid.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You know why because I've even hearing it in how
- 4:34Speaker 2: you guys are explaining it, like you're just like, oh,
- 4:37Speaker 2: what's good? Better this middling view of it. I don't know,
- 4:41Speaker 2: I want to give it more than a middling thought.
- 4:43Speaker 2: But again, I thought it was cool.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought it was cool.
- 4:48Speaker 5: You know like, okay, I thought, okay, I think the
- 4:51Speaker 5: high points for me was like Nadja said, I think
- 4:54Speaker 5: that Anthony mack you definitely proved himself as capable of
- 4:58Speaker 5: carrying the lead role, of of carrying the shield and
- 5:01Speaker 5: the lead role in the film. I'm not sure my
- 5:04Speaker 5: man who played I knew his name yesterday and now
- 5:07Speaker 5: I can't remember the man who played the falcon.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I thought, Danny Ramirez, Danny, Danny Ramirez. I think him
- 5:17Speaker 4: and Anthony have great chemistry on screen where well almost
- 5:22Speaker 4: spoil that.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Yeah, there's a certain you know cameo that was like,
- 5:27Speaker 5: that was great. But it was like I was happier
- 5:30Speaker 5: with them, you know, I was happy with them as
- 5:32Speaker 5: a team. I really liked that. I really like seeing
- 5:34Speaker 5: them together rocking. I can see more from Danny my
- 5:38Speaker 5: It's addressed in the movie. But you know, like the
- 5:42Speaker 5: lack of Super Soldier.
- 5:46Speaker 4: That way is just a high point of a low point.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Sorry, the lack of Super Soldier film is glaringly any.
- 6:01Speaker 4: There's just so many points, right, why don't you just
- 6:04Speaker 4: shoot them? Nadia, do you have a high point?
- 6:08Speaker 2: While Ben laughs about this, do you have one of
- 6:10Speaker 2: many high points you want to.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Share about them, all right, you thought this movie.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Start to quote the film, Anthony Mackie proves he deserves
- 6:23Speaker 1: the seat at the table, which I think was like
- 6:26Speaker 1: one of the themes that was very important in this film,
- 6:30Speaker 1: especially being like a black man, him becoming Captain America
- 6:34Speaker 1: when you see America and the ship show.
- 6:37Speaker 4: That we are.
- 6:38Speaker 3: It's definitely a very important theme.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'll get into what also didn't work for me about
- 6:44Speaker 1: that in a bit later, I guess when we'll talk
- 6:47Speaker 1: about like what didn't work for us. But I think overall,
- 6:50Speaker 1: like I think that theme kind of worked for me,
- 6:53Speaker 1: that he proves himself worthy and like we already know
- 6:58Speaker 1: what Bucky's doing. I guess he's doing some other stuff
- 7:02Speaker 1: with another team. And apparently they mentioned like a congressman
- 7:05Speaker 1: or something. So I kind of liked the dynamic between
- 7:09Speaker 1: him and Joaquin. I think they were kind of fun.
- 7:11Speaker 1: It was more like student teacher rather than competitive, So
- 7:14Speaker 1: I kind of like that element too.
- 7:15Speaker 4: It was like.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Teaching the next team because they kept hinting we may
- 7:20Speaker 1: get like a new Avengers, well not new Avengers in
- 7:23Speaker 1: this case, a second Avengers, Avengers two point zero. I
- 7:26Speaker 1: described it as like kind of like that dynamic between
- 7:29Speaker 1: him and Joaquin.
- 7:31Speaker 2: They actually waterboarded us with there's another Avengers, Another Avengers.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I get it, guys, calm down. A strength I thought
- 7:41Speaker 2: about this film. I thought the casting characterizations were very strong.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I will say that Mackie, I mean, despite all the
- 7:50Speaker 2: doubts people have and the things people want to say
- 7:52Speaker 2: about him, you.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Know, you know, correct or not.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Uh, he does stand tall as as Sam Wilson. He
- 8:00Speaker 2: does stand tall as Sam Wilson going through that real
- 8:03Speaker 2: life struggle of how do I be enough to be
- 8:07Speaker 2: hold the mantle of what Captain America is?
- 8:09Speaker 3: What is Captain America? All this other stuff?
- 8:11Speaker 2: So you do see that played out very strongly with
- 8:15Speaker 2: Anthony's Mackie performance. You can tell that he has a true,
- 8:19Speaker 2: the humanistic side of what Captain America is supposed to be, right,
- 8:22Speaker 2: especially when you then add on the intersections of blackness,
- 8:25Speaker 2: being a black man and then in America and everything
- 8:28Speaker 2: that comes along with it. Obviously y'all mentioned Joaquin. I
- 8:30Speaker 2: thought Joaquin was like the bleeding heart of this film,
- 8:33Speaker 2: and in a great way, like, yes, the connection it's
- 8:37Speaker 2: obvious from the jump Street, the connection between him and Sam,
- 8:39Speaker 2: and then also he is very interesting when like you
- 8:43Speaker 2: ask people in the world like if you could be
- 8:45Speaker 2: a superhero, what would you be and why do you
- 8:47Speaker 2: want to be it? And a lot of people don't
- 8:48Speaker 2: have any real answers, right or it's like, oh, I
- 8:50Speaker 2: just want to walk through walls or something, you know,
- 8:52Speaker 2: really corny or really just kind of basic, like for
- 8:56Speaker 2: Danny Ramirez or not just say Joaquin Torres, for that
- 8:59Speaker 2: character to like really discover himself in this film and
- 9:02Speaker 2: discover his purpose and really another like class on you know, with.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Great power comes great responsibility.
- 9:07Speaker 4: This was kind of an offshoot of that.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I will also say, like the rest of the cast,
- 9:13Speaker 2: I mean, obviously, Harrison Ford is Harrison Ford.
- 9:15Speaker 4: He's a legend.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Now we can't to say, we can't say obviously, we
- 9:18Speaker 5: got to talk about how good.
- 9:19Speaker 4: We we will we will.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna just get through this this fast so we
- 9:24Speaker 2: can get to what y'all gotta say about this. But uh, legendary,
- 9:27Speaker 2: that's that's that's more to it. But I'm gonna say
- 9:30Speaker 2: to stamp it legendary. John Carlo Esposito un like unbelievable, fucking, insane,
- 9:37Speaker 2: lethal as fuck, Carl Lumbley proud triumphant his return, as
- 9:42Speaker 2: they brow, Bradley is really happy to see him get
- 9:45Speaker 2: a lot more screen time. And honestly, just I mentioned characterization,
- 9:49Speaker 2: this was almost like a long episode of The Falcon
- 9:52Speaker 2: and the Winter Soldier mixed with some other pieces. And
- 9:54Speaker 2: and I remember better mean you and I remember reviewing
- 9:57Speaker 2: that series like we actually truly enjoyed that, or we
- 9:59Speaker 2: enjoy with what Malcolm Spelman, who was also one of
- 10:02Speaker 2: the screenplay writers, was trying to.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Bring to the table.
- 10:04Speaker 3: So yeah, characterizations casting very very.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Strong, speaking about things that we loved.
- 10:10Speaker 5: I definitely want to talk about Harrison Ford's performance because
- 10:13Speaker 5: I thought he was upset exceptional.
- 10:16Speaker 4: And then it, I mean, down to everything.
- 10:19Speaker 5: And it's funny because all I was thinking about watching
- 10:21Speaker 5: it was the interview where they were like, hey, you know,
- 10:24Speaker 5: how did you prepare for being Red Hulk and Hays like.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Doing what I'm doing, you know, and.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Himself and oh my god, I don't know who prepared
- 10:36Speaker 5: or what he was doing, but his hawkout moments are
- 10:39Speaker 5: absolutely hilarious.
- 10:41Speaker 4: When that man was on the sub the pole pause,
- 10:44Speaker 4: he's like he turned back to Shorty like you want
- 10:51Speaker 4: to like you?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Like it's all of the great, like cheating the scene
- 10:56Speaker 2: to me, chewing the chewing that you would expect of
- 11:00Speaker 2: like even like an eighties version of the Hulk like
- 11:03Speaker 2: he does that brings it to twenty twenty five in
- 11:06Speaker 2: a way that just works. Just I think it only
- 11:08Speaker 2: works in this context of this film, because I don't
- 11:11Speaker 2: I don't know if it works anywhere else. And then
- 11:13Speaker 2: like that couple with actually for him specifically really good CGI.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Like his conversion from Harrison fo well Thunderbolt Ross, but
- 11:23Speaker 2: his conversion from that to Red Hulk was actually, in
- 11:26Speaker 2: my view, really well done.
- 11:27Speaker 4: He actually looked good as Red Hulk.
- 11:30Speaker 5: No, really dope, like, like you said, the CGI of
- 11:33Speaker 5: Red Hulk when he Red Hulk was.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Fired specifically no, And he was also filmed using motion capture.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Okay, okay, they fucking put all the fucking motion capture
- 11:44Speaker 2: buttons all over every inch of that man's face. And
- 11:46Speaker 2: when I say that was his, that was him, like
- 11:49Speaker 2: it didn't. Lots of times when you see people turn
- 11:52Speaker 2: into characters, quote, you can tell that there's like a difference,
- 11:56Speaker 2: you know, there's a clear line and the divide between
- 11:58Speaker 2: the person and the character.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Like this, you can't feel like, yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 2: That Staddy's Ross as red Hawk, right, It's just they're
- 12:05Speaker 2: one and the same. It felt it felt clean, like
- 12:07Speaker 2: a clean transition. I can't say that for everything in
- 12:09Speaker 2: the film.
- 12:10Speaker 5: T Im trying to hold it because I like damn,
- 12:16Speaker 5: I like g and Carlos, John.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Carlos, but he don't mind. Man, his sidewinder is off
- 12:23Speaker 4: the chain. I think I liked him more than I
- 12:25Speaker 4: like his sidewinder.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Okay, I see what you're saying.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, dude, this is something I didn't like.
- 12:34Speaker 5: I'm not sure if you don't beat this, but like
- 12:36Speaker 5: I'm getting very first shout in this dude. It's like
- 12:39Speaker 5: a shot of him from the back and he's got
- 12:42Speaker 5: a little circular symbol on his back.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:45Speaker 3: The Serpent Society, it.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Says it twice.
- 12:48Speaker 5: It's like it's a Serpent society, sper society, Like, like, why.
- 12:52Speaker 4: The fuck are you wearing?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Why is he identifying himself? Why are you identifying your
- 13:00Speaker 2: or fan? That'stine villain organization.
- 13:03Speaker 3: That well, what was the difference between Hydra, Like they.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And they did not have bad's They wanted to like
- 13:11Speaker 1: on the comic without being comic accurate.
- 13:14Speaker 5: But then they went really goofy instead of like just
- 13:17Speaker 5: being comic accurate and having him wear the silly mask.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Here's the thing, they gave him blue eyes.
- 13:22Speaker 4: They did give when you saw it was obvious context.
- 13:25Speaker 2: When you cross over the military dustrial complex with Marvel,
- 13:29Speaker 2: this is what happens because when you think about it,
- 13:32Speaker 2: like you got to identify the arm you gotta identify,
- 13:34Speaker 2: the Navy, you got identify the Air Force, you got
- 13:36Speaker 2: to identify as well. So what I did like him,
- 13:40Speaker 2: I didn't like like. I just particularly felt he was
- 13:43Speaker 2: a believable and powerful villain, like he.
- 13:47Speaker 3: John Collo can fucking act his ass offce Like what
- 13:49Speaker 3: else can I say?
- 13:50Speaker 2: He can really do any character you can do, a
- 13:53Speaker 2: soft character, a hard character, a lethal assassin.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Whatever, he can deliver it, and I felt like he
- 13:58Speaker 3: delivered Sidewinder. I liked him. I think he was a
- 14:01Speaker 3: little underutilized.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I would have liked to see a little bit more
- 14:04Speaker 1: from him, because although he wasn't the main antagonist, I
- 14:07Speaker 1: kind of liked him more. What I what I liked,
- 14:11Speaker 1: what I enjoyed with his character though, was that like
- 14:14Speaker 1: he's he's smart, so even if he's facing like a hero,
- 14:17Speaker 1: not to say like Batman mentality, but like thinking ahead.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So I liked that part where like he basically uses
- 14:27Speaker 1: Sam's vulnerability because Sam is still like too nice and
- 14:32Speaker 1: Sam always tries to like diffuse the situation, and he
- 14:35Speaker 1: kind of like used that to his advantage, like, Oh,
- 14:37Speaker 1: he's gonna try and talk me down, so I could
- 14:39Speaker 1: just stab him real quick, Like I feel like he
- 14:42Speaker 1: he already had in mind, like how Sam's gonna react
- 14:45Speaker 1: during that fighting. That was one of the more compelling
- 14:47Speaker 1: fight scenes for me between Seynwider and Sam because it
- 14:50Speaker 1: was always like surprising, like you know, he was like surprised, motherfucker,
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm gon shoot you.
- 14:54Speaker 2: My co he was like jumping, like I was sitting
- 14:57Speaker 2: there as I was sitting there as.
- 14:58Speaker 4: He was, I wanted was doing shit. I literally sat
- 15:00Speaker 4: there a wow yo, oh shit.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Like I didn't expect him to kind of, you know,
- 15:04Speaker 2: come at him like that. So it was truly I
- 15:08Speaker 2: agree with you, Noddy. I would have liked to see him.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I actually would have preferred him more than another villain.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean we had to talk about that other villain.
- 15:18Speaker 4: We do have to talk about. I was still talk
- 15:20Speaker 4: about good things.
- 15:21Speaker 5: Oh shit, Okay, I thought the score was really good,
- 15:28Speaker 5: and it was the score when it.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Was Annie up, I was soundtrack.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Honestly, some of the movie felt like it was two
- 15:37Speaker 5: different movies. Like like you said, some of it felt
- 15:39Speaker 5: like I was watching an episode of a TV show,
- 15:42Speaker 5: And I mean that in not a good way, honestly,
- 15:44Speaker 5: Like just the shots just looked very static, very like,
- 15:48Speaker 5: you know, okay, talking head, talking head, talking.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Head, and then some of it looked like yo.
- 15:54Speaker 5: And even with the action, some of the fights were
- 15:56Speaker 5: like okay, whatever, and then some of the fights.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Were like yo, this is right, you know what I mean,
- 16:01Speaker 4: Like this is lit.
- 16:03Speaker 2: It's a good thing because the fights more more or less,
- 16:06Speaker 2: the fights were interesting, Yes, like.
- 16:09Speaker 5: When Lumbey went off and you know, tried to walk
- 16:12Speaker 5: Parrison forward and that whole sequence in him running and
- 16:15Speaker 5: the cops chasing him, and the music during that scene,
- 16:18Speaker 5: like the intentional or you know, intrinsic score was really fired.
- 16:23Speaker 5: But like then some of it just you know, it
- 16:26Speaker 5: wasn't as much. But like I thought, that ship was ill.
- 16:29Speaker 5: I thought, I like to fight, you know, between the
- 16:32Speaker 5: Hulk and uh, I mean Red HOWK and Falcon I
- 16:36Speaker 5: was dope America. Sorry, sorry, don't.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Talk about that too. I have a comment about what
- 16:40Speaker 4: you just did.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Oh excuse me. You know he is taped, you know, no, no, no,
- 16:45Speaker 5: it's not a bad thing, but that lack of the
- 16:48Speaker 5: super sold sre might be while I'm still calling him falcon,
- 16:51Speaker 5: you know, I'm sorry, like if you had the super
- 16:54Speaker 5: stol see if I can call you Cathaina Erica. But
- 16:57Speaker 5: you know, there was some great It's like some shit
- 17:01Speaker 5: I don't want to I don't want to spoil because
- 17:03Speaker 5: it was just so good for me. But there was
- 17:05Speaker 5: some really great symbolism, right, I mean, some really exceptional
- 17:11Speaker 5: you know, Kendrick Lamar level symbolism going on in this field.
- 17:15Speaker 5: One Red Hole casually destroying the Washington Monuments on.
- 17:22Speaker 4: His that was one of my highlights. That was one
- 17:29Speaker 4: of my pure highlights.
- 17:30Speaker 5: And if we're going there, I'll just will say this
- 17:33Speaker 5: and once again, huge spoiler alert before this sentence, you know,
- 17:37Speaker 5: shout out to our editor. Put something right here, because
- 17:40Speaker 5: Red Hole's standing on top of the goddamn White House
- 17:43Speaker 5: as it.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Burns beneath him. Hyicotic. I mean, I need it on
- 17:50Speaker 4: a T shirt like it is amazing.
- 17:55Speaker 5: Yeah, And that's just one of those things because you know,
- 17:58Speaker 5: the movie is a silly I'm sorry when it comes
- 18:02Speaker 5: to the politics, it's a silly Marvel movie like it
- 18:05Speaker 5: very much has a lot of we gotta do this together,
- 18:08Speaker 5: you know, And the very first shot you see, the
- 18:11Speaker 5: very first thing you see is Hair's a forward standing
- 18:14Speaker 5: in front of a together sign.
- 18:16Speaker 4: You know.
- 18:16Speaker 5: That is his campaign promise, I guess or whatever. And
- 18:20Speaker 5: there's a lot of that in this film, which I get.
- 18:23Speaker 5: You know, America needs right now, but we're far past
- 18:26Speaker 5: the point of doing it together. We are now under
- 18:29Speaker 5: a constitutional crisis and hell knows what else, you know,
- 18:33Speaker 5: like a coup. Basically a blood is cool right now,
- 18:38Speaker 5: so you know, shit's going down. So the idea of
- 18:41Speaker 5: doing it together.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Is a bullshit. So yeah, I'm sorry, I'm not feeling
- 18:46Speaker 4: that one.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I do have one more highlight there. Even though most
- 18:49Speaker 2: of the tone of the film is serious, there were
- 18:52Speaker 2: some comedic jabs equips here and there that were actually
- 18:56Speaker 2: funny and subversive. You actually, you keep joking about but
- 19:01Speaker 2: that's actually a line that Sam mentioned just about the
- 19:04Speaker 2: fact that he should have took the fucking Super Soldier series.
- 19:07Speaker 2: You you you physically see that on screen, about the
- 19:10Speaker 2: implications of not doing it, and then.
- 19:12Speaker 5: He had response that response to it's like, well, I guess, but.
- 19:21Speaker 2: It's just like seeing the character like work his way
- 19:24Speaker 2: through that. They try to market it the other catch,
- 19:28Speaker 2: trying to market as both the strength and you know,
- 19:30Speaker 2: potential downfall, but seeing everyone grapple and trying to negotiate
- 19:34Speaker 2: between that point was very interesting and actually very funny
- 19:38Speaker 2: throughout the film for me.
- 19:39Speaker 4: So it made me laugh.
- 19:40Speaker 3: So I count that as a positive thing.
- 19:43Speaker 5: When Red Hule is pulling your head like a basketball,
- 19:46Speaker 5: it is time to take the super.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So give me some compound fee right now.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Like that is the moment dog right there.
- 19:54Speaker 5: I need a screenshot of that, And that's like I
- 19:56Speaker 5: should have had a b eight, you know, I should have.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Serum he's old in his head like you have another.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Do you think that's also why they definitely like threw
- 20:10Speaker 1: in that Joaquin line like you're the one that I
- 20:13Speaker 1: aspired to be, Like he's yeah, but.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I'm in the hospital.
- 20:20Speaker 2: They had to connected to the line like twenty minutes
- 20:22Speaker 2: prior when they were when he was bucking was what
- 20:26Speaker 2: Sam was talking to Bucky. It was like ash I
- 20:27Speaker 2: took that ship and Buck.
- 20:28Speaker 3: He's like no man, something to aspire to, something to
- 20:31Speaker 3: aspire to. I said, that's so bullshit.
- 20:33Speaker 5: You need to take this air on my guy, Like
- 20:35Speaker 5: I didn't since we are saying, you know, I guess
- 20:38Speaker 5: we are going full you know a spoilers now now
- 20:40Speaker 5: that we said that that man's in the movie. I
- 20:42Speaker 5: thought that was a great scene. But I also thought
- 20:45Speaker 5: Bucky had nothing for him. When he was like, yeah,
- 20:48Speaker 5: I should have tood the seerum. There was a pause
- 20:50Speaker 5: there there's a bid like and then he was like, nah, man,
- 20:56Speaker 5: you know people inspired for you. But there was a pause.
- 20:59Speaker 3: He was just like you're gonna need more vibranium.
- 21:02Speaker 4: You should have no doubt.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Now you did you have any other like highlights? I
- 21:16Speaker 1: guess just tie in, like tying into that like Caro
- 21:19Speaker 1: to aspire to be. I guess I kind of like
- 21:22Speaker 1: that as like a closing kind of like conversation because
- 21:26Speaker 1: it's like Joaquin is like new in this world and
- 21:31Speaker 1: like you know, God is askedy, but Sam gets his
- 21:34Speaker 1: askey and it's kind of like, oh I can I
- 21:35Speaker 1: can do this too.
- 21:37Speaker 3: But he's the one.
- 21:39Speaker 1: That's relatable because like not everyone has like super you know,
- 21:43Speaker 1: serum soldier serum. So it's like holy ship, I could
- 21:46Speaker 1: be I could be an avenger and not have any powers.
- 21:49Speaker 2: You don't got to tell me they hawk Ey doesn't
- 21:51Speaker 2: have any powers, have any powers, and they was avengers.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Yeah, well okay, hawk did not. Widows had some type
- 22:00Speaker 5: you know, something.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Going on talking about from the mc U.
- 22:03Speaker 4: She even in the red room. She had something going
- 22:05Speaker 4: on something.
- 22:06Speaker 3: What's something? I was superhuman better than whatever.
- 22:09Speaker 4: These two got.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Life, a life of abuse, a life of abuse, like
- 22:15Speaker 2: what does she get that wasp.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Like walls like cats the rest of them?
- 22:20Speaker 4: Because he got a life of a like we all
- 22:23Speaker 4: don't talk.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Guy, ain't got ship exploding arrows Like.
- 22:28Speaker 5: I'm just like you would ever give stand host last
- 22:32Speaker 5: time out and you didn't be like nah, bro, it's
- 22:34Speaker 5: time for the serum. If he's if he doesn't have
- 22:41Speaker 5: the serum in doomsday, I'm gonna be tight.
- 22:43Speaker 4: Bro, it's over like no, ain't no way, Like.
- 22:46Speaker 1: He gonna need to add adamantium his wings like.
- 22:52Speaker 4: We wanted that like wings.
- 22:57Speaker 2: But see, this is the conundrum that they they not
- 23:00Speaker 2: have to do. But now they've put themselves here. So
- 23:02Speaker 2: what if they decided out a line a movie or two.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we are going to give him this here,
- 23:07Speaker 2: I'm Sam. Wouldn't that erase all of the aspirational bullshit?
- 23:12Speaker 2: You now you've nerved him for life.
- 23:16Speaker 4: He cannot ever get that, or you undermine.
- 23:19Speaker 2: The underlying values and lessons and education of aspiring to
- 23:24Speaker 2: be the best human in the world, Like.
- 23:27Speaker 1: And couldn't that also be kind of like a nudge
- 23:30Speaker 1: to Isaiah in a sense, because it's like, this man
- 23:34Speaker 1: has been through so much fucking trauma for thirty years
- 23:37Speaker 1: and was tortured, and like you're his friend, and like
- 23:40Speaker 1: he has like a whole mentored thing. But it's like
- 23:42Speaker 1: you're willingly taking something that was like given to me
- 23:46Speaker 1: unwillingly and I was tortured my entire life. Like that
- 23:49Speaker 1: connection they built, I kind of feel like that could
- 23:51Speaker 1: be some kind of tension, like, oh, you you want.
- 23:53Speaker 2: To take this shit right the ship that I died,
- 23:56Speaker 2: like damn near died for this shit that I was
- 23:58Speaker 2: put away incarcerated for for thirty years, And yeah, yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Yes, I'm like, well, I just got palm like a basketball.
- 24:10Speaker 4: This man is casually destroying the Washington Monument.
- 24:13Speaker 2: And you want me to go, But Ben, this this
- 24:18Speaker 2: movie also teaches you can talk people down. You can
- 24:21Speaker 2: talk them down through the you can't you don't believe
- 24:25Speaker 2: you can't.
- 24:25Speaker 3: He he talked them down.
- 24:28Speaker 5: I mean that's when, like, that's when I say this
- 24:30Speaker 5: to the you know, silly Marvel movie in terms of
- 24:32Speaker 5: its politics, Like, you know, it's an enjoyable movie in
- 24:35Speaker 5: terms of it's like action and all that, and you know,
- 24:38Speaker 5: the idea that you know, the black Man is Captain
- 24:40Speaker 5: America and all that, that feels great. But when you
- 24:42Speaker 5: know the idea that you can talk down a monster,
- 24:45Speaker 5: you know, a raging monster who's taking control of the
- 24:48Speaker 5: White House is hilarious.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I guess that brings us to the low lights.
- 24:55Speaker 5: Wait hold up, you shouted out, Bradley, you shout it out.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I wish I saw I mean, I think Carl
- 25:03Speaker 2: Lumley had okay screen time, you know, yeah, I could
- 25:08Speaker 2: have seen more him. But also it was like I
- 25:09Speaker 2: could tell they didn't really quite know exactly what to
- 25:12Speaker 2: do with him besides like throwing him in here and there,
- 25:15Speaker 2: and besides him being one of the catalysts of that
- 25:17Speaker 2: and that's in the that's in the trailers. Him being
- 25:19Speaker 2: one of the catalysts of you know, attacking the president.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Like okay, it's like he keeps he's a symbol, but
- 25:25Speaker 2: he even in his use in the film, it's still
- 25:28Speaker 2: very symbolic as opposed to or tangible.
- 25:32Speaker 4: That makes any sense? What you say, here's your suit back?
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:39Speaker 4: Right, about a million dollars?
- 25:40Speaker 5: Well did you have anything else besides the lols? I like,
- 25:47Speaker 5: like I said, I thought someone to ask him, very dope.
- 25:49Speaker 5: The use of the celestial finally, you know, and where
- 25:53Speaker 5: it had been all these years was nice, you know,
- 25:56Speaker 5: celestial island.
- 25:57Speaker 4: I thought that was a dope idea.
- 25:58Speaker 5: And then thank you reveal adamantium being coming out of
- 26:03Speaker 5: the celestial is fire.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Yep, me you know that.
- 26:06Speaker 5: I like that because that's always what I've said about
- 26:09Speaker 5: Marvel or the MCU in particular, a lot of that
- 26:11Speaker 5: because like taking this different concepts than in the comics
- 26:15Speaker 5: weren't connected and connecting them in the MCU. So it's
- 26:18Speaker 5: like that way, it doesn't just have a million different things.
- 26:21Speaker 5: You know, Adiman team, where the fuck does it come from? Oh,
- 26:23Speaker 5: it's just come from somewhere else, you know, instead of
- 26:25Speaker 5: it coming from the celestial, which makes more sense.
- 26:27Speaker 4: You know, that's dope. So I thought that was really dope.
- 26:31Speaker 2: But it does come from They still saying this comes
- 26:33Speaker 2: from him. They're mining the celestial for the automantium.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 26:37Speaker 5: But Adaman team is like some naturally occurring element as
- 26:40Speaker 5: far as I know, right, I don't know who knows where.
- 26:42Speaker 3: I thought it was from out of space, but okay, I.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Think it does come from out of space. I mean,
- 26:47Speaker 4: I know they.
- 26:49Speaker 1: But that's why I was a pro and a con
- 26:51Speaker 1: for me, because it's like, it's the celestial being. This
- 26:54Speaker 1: should be some huge, next level type ship and that's
- 26:59Speaker 1: all they're doing.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Well it's dead now, so you know, it's no better
- 27:03Speaker 2: than the moon. It's just a place to mind.
- 27:04Speaker 1: But it was just like, oh, we didn't like the eternals,
- 27:06Speaker 1: we scrapped the whole. Whatever's gonna happen next, So let's
- 27:09Speaker 1: just use this dead celestials.
- 27:11Speaker 4: And you know what, they fucking had to because it's
- 27:13Speaker 4: too huge, and they did.
- 27:18Speaker 2: For fucking like almost ten years just to be like, okay, okay,
- 27:23Speaker 2: we haven't used for it. So I think it's a
- 27:25Speaker 2: pro and con. That is definitely a pro and a
- 27:28Speaker 2: con for me. A prole that they used it because
- 27:29Speaker 2: I was just like, finally, thank you for.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Yeah. I have no idea how this gets into Wolverine's
- 27:36Speaker 5: bones from here, I.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Do Like they said Japan and America, so Jaman in
- 27:42Speaker 2: America and you know the whole story of Wolverine Japan,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and so they're gonna throw They're gonna use that through line.
- 27:47Speaker 1: You know, they are like where the X Men been
- 27:50Speaker 1: this whole time?
- 27:51Speaker 4: And then like how old is this man when he
- 27:53Speaker 4: gets this stuff put into him?
- 27:54Speaker 3: Who the fuck knows?
- 27:55Speaker 4: Ben?
- 27:55Speaker 3: Which version? Which multiverse version are we gonna get this?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Give us a new logan. That's a whole nother conversation.
- 28:02Speaker 5: All right, Onto the stuff that I didn't like. There's
- 28:06Speaker 5: no easy way to say this. I thought the or whatever,
- 28:14Speaker 5: it was a waste of time.
- 28:15Speaker 4: Yeah, And I just feel like the movie was.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Very chopped up because of I guess various things. But
- 28:23Speaker 5: that was something that like, I don't want to say
- 28:25Speaker 5: I didn't like, but I feel like that there was
- 28:28Speaker 5: a better version of this movie. They got buried because
- 28:30Speaker 5: of politics and because of other things. Because I like,
- 28:34Speaker 5: I really trust Malcolm Spelman and I know as a
- 28:37Speaker 5: writer he wouldn't introduce the character Cyber unless he wanted
- 28:40Speaker 5: to say something about this.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Did he do that? Because there's three of them that wrote.
- 28:44Speaker 5: This, but he was the original, you know writer he
- 28:48Speaker 5: started off so and as far as I know, she
- 28:51Speaker 5: was in it from the jump something. And I think
- 28:55Speaker 5: the reshoots when other writers start coming in and then
- 28:58Speaker 5: they start taking stuff out because I think what it
- 29:01Speaker 5: was is they have something to say about Israel and
- 29:03Speaker 5: then you know, ish went down and they're like, oh,
- 29:06Speaker 5: we can't say anything anymore. And so because of that,
- 29:09Speaker 5: won't want, you know, edit edit, because there's like one thing.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Like me and I you were talking about after we
- 29:14Speaker 4: saw it.
- 29:14Speaker 5: There's a shot of Shorty where she has on like
- 29:17Speaker 5: a supersuit jacket over it's basically.
- 29:20Speaker 2: The Israel flag colors. But they're trying to hide shit,
- 29:23Speaker 2: like might as well throw member on screen. But okay,
- 29:28Speaker 2: they couldn't just used any black widow m If my
- 29:32Speaker 2: tone doesn't give it away, I could have done without
- 29:34Speaker 2: the inclusion of Saba at that point, if if it
- 29:37Speaker 2: was so chopped up from whatever the original approach was
- 29:41Speaker 2: that it changed and like and to scrap it all
- 29:43Speaker 2: the way because the end result was it worth it? Like,
- 29:48Speaker 2: it's not clear her purpose at this point besides just
- 29:51Speaker 2: an extra throwaway catter.
- 29:52Speaker 3: She's only built as an ex widdow.
- 29:54Speaker 2: So what there're a diamond, doesn't you're gonna see them
- 29:57Speaker 2: in the next fucking film with the I'm a dozen
- 30:00Speaker 2: widows that we're about.
- 30:01Speaker 3: To see, you know what I'm saying?
- 30:02Speaker 2: Like, and was it worth a controversy because there's still
- 30:06Speaker 2: controversy about her inclusion. There was controversy when it was
- 30:08Speaker 2: announced that she was going to be included, and then
- 30:10Speaker 2: they they were scrambling around like, oh, it's.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Not gonna be who you think or not.
- 30:14Speaker 2: And they even how to be slick and throw a line,
- 30:16Speaker 2: as she says in the movie about people can change,
- 30:19Speaker 2: because she was talking about Thunderbolt, but she was talking
- 30:21Speaker 2: about herself. I'm like, I see what y'all try to do,
- 30:24Speaker 2: and I don't like that shit. She should not have
- 30:26Speaker 2: been in this movie. I don't see the point. I
- 30:29Speaker 2: don't see the point, you know, And and I really
- 30:31Speaker 2: don't care. Who got something to say to me about it?
- 30:34Speaker 4: What tell me? What if you erase her from the
- 30:37Speaker 4: movie right now? What changed?
- 30:39Speaker 2: What did she contribute to the film or the characters
- 30:42Speaker 2: or the progress of the plot.
- 30:45Speaker 3: He could have had any right hands.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Did her character and forget what you personally feel, did
- 30:52Speaker 2: her character do anything to advance the plot?
- 30:55Speaker 5: Crickets shout out the fantastic Frankie. She was at our
- 30:59Speaker 5: screening as well, and she also said this that the
- 31:03Speaker 5: Black Women assistant as well, could have been a Dora
- 31:07Speaker 5: in the strise and a much better use of our
- 31:10Speaker 5: time than you know, Cyber because she also vanishes from
- 31:15Speaker 5: the film basically after my man holds out.
- 31:18Speaker 4: And then you know that was the end of her.
- 31:21Speaker 2: And you talk about Leila the Yeah, I forgot her
- 31:24Speaker 2: name because Laylah Taylor. Are you talking about the CIA agent,
- 31:26Speaker 2: our secret service agent?
- 31:28Speaker 4: The black woman?
- 31:29Speaker 2: You know, her inclusion irritated me a bit just because
- 31:33Speaker 2: of I don't know what they were trying to do there,
- 31:36Speaker 2: Like it's kind of like a character trying to It
- 31:41Speaker 2: gives me pause because it's kind of like you're trying
- 31:44Speaker 2: to draw from real life, like black women trying to
- 31:47Speaker 2: be the balance point. Like you know how early in
- 31:50Speaker 2: the movie, Sam is talking about, Oh, I got somebody
- 31:53Speaker 2: on the inside, and I'm like, the other black person. Great,
- 31:56Speaker 2: so it's the black woman, right, and then the black
- 31:58Speaker 2: woman's like the ed secret service agent for the President,
- 32:02Speaker 2: and I'm just like, and you can tell she's not
- 32:04Speaker 2: she's trying to excuse she's not with the bullshit, but
- 32:06Speaker 2: she's also she's trying to excuse him.
- 32:07Speaker 3: She's trying to play that line.
- 32:08Speaker 2: And I guess that may have been one of the
- 32:11Speaker 2: things they were trying to negotiate from a story perspective.
- 32:15Speaker 2: But I'm also just like, but you also didn't give
- 32:18Speaker 2: her enough. She was just that person that was always
- 32:20Speaker 2: on doing this balancing act, Like if you are going
- 32:23Speaker 2: to make her feel purposeful, give me more than that.
- 32:27Speaker 2: And I like your idea that I did you know
- 32:30Speaker 2: that you mentioned you and Frankie talked about like if
- 32:32Speaker 2: she was a door in disguise, that would have made
- 32:33Speaker 2: way more sense. They talked about wakand the fifty Times
- 32:36Speaker 2: might as well have been Like, I just it was
- 32:39Speaker 2: interesting that there seemed more obvious connections to be made
- 32:43Speaker 2: versus what ended.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Up on screen.
- 32:45Speaker 5: M even his wings being from you know what, barb
- 32:49Speaker 5: ranium in them, and after he starts getting you know,
- 32:52Speaker 5: poem like a basketball while you know, they show up
- 32:54Speaker 5: like they show up for Bucky when his arm goes bad.
- 32:57Speaker 4: You know, they in the room immediately, but.
- 32:59Speaker 2: This we'll kind of this show up because remember that's
- 33:02Speaker 2: also like a call back to Black Panthers armor his suit.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Like when I say what kind of showed up? I
- 33:08Speaker 2: mean in spirit, right, the spirit, but like once.
- 33:10Speaker 4: He starts getting served, you know, just kind of saves.
- 33:13Speaker 2: You, Ben, Do they not come when you're getting served?
- 33:15Speaker 2: When you watch alone with the ancestors come and swoop
- 33:18Speaker 2: you up to help you?
- 33:19Speaker 5: Ain't no answers to come through though, That's what I'm saying.
- 33:22Speaker 2: At the very end, Bent, I mean, the ancestors of
- 33:25Speaker 2: the of the of the Java, of the Conon Plans
- 33:29Speaker 2: came through with the power, the.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Power of the Black Panther. You know what. That's the funny.
- 33:35Speaker 5: This man does do a lot of talking, like to
- 33:38Speaker 5: solve his problems, like because he don't have.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Super soldier serum, the fuck else he gonna so I'm saying.
- 33:43Speaker 1: He always tries to defuse the situation by talking first.
- 33:46Speaker 3: And it said, no, we got it their hands.
- 33:47Speaker 2: We got that and the spirit of the Black Panther.
- 33:51Speaker 2: That's what he got to save.
- 33:52Speaker 5: Steve Rogers was about them hands and them feats and
- 33:54Speaker 5: everything else, and yeah, not so much here.
- 33:58Speaker 2: What y'all feel about Sam Stearns. Samuel Stearns, all right,
- 34:05Speaker 2: I just realized what I thought he was. He reminded
- 34:08Speaker 2: me of continue.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Okay, Huge Holt and Leader fan here, you know, like Huge,
- 34:14Speaker 5: going back to the comics everything Leader form of my favorite.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Villains, Tim Blake Nelson.
- 34:20Speaker 5: Like Tim Blake Nelson as an actor. I like him
- 34:23Speaker 5: as an actor. H During the press conference, he said
- 34:27Speaker 5: that he needed the gross and after to play this
- 34:30Speaker 5: version of the Leader. I was surprised by that statement
- 34:35Speaker 5: when he said that I thought he was great in
- 34:36Speaker 5: the first one.
- 34:37Speaker 3: He was giving Engstrom Levy to me this this I
- 34:42Speaker 3: know that, I know that I was trying to remember
- 34:45Speaker 3: he was. He was giving more Engstrom than the.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Leader for me.
- 34:49Speaker 5: And the problem that the version that they attempted to
- 34:54Speaker 5: do is from the comics and it predates Ainstrom, like
- 34:58Speaker 5: that there is a Leader version where he's ring with
- 35:00Speaker 5: the brain and Ainstream comes well after that. But because
- 35:04Speaker 5: Ainstrom beat him the screen, people around the world are
- 35:07Speaker 5: gonna be like, oh, yeah, he's doing astrom lev And
- 35:10Speaker 5: it also looked like the Mushroom ship from Oh.
- 35:13Speaker 4: From the Last of Us. You look like you had
- 35:17Speaker 4: the mushroom yeah, and just.
- 35:24Speaker 5: His like there went like he had the king problem
- 35:30Speaker 5: right of like being a villain and they're trying to
- 35:32Speaker 5: make him badass and he has.
- 35:35Speaker 4: These niggas and he just walks out.
- 35:41Speaker 5: He has some type of sonic boom being weapon that
- 35:45Speaker 5: he is you know, using very effectively on very effectively,
- 35:51Speaker 5: Like he got them and then he just turns it off.
- 35:54Speaker 4: It's like, all right, I'll let my goons beat you up.
- 35:58Speaker 4: And not one of his goons.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Because that was part of his plan. Remember, he wanted
- 36:02Speaker 3: to get away at that time to do the next
- 36:04Speaker 3: thing for.
- 36:05Speaker 5: The like none of his goons had a gun.
- 36:10Speaker 4: Plot armor and that.
- 36:14Speaker 5: That's but see, that's what I'm talking about, Like you
- 36:16Speaker 5: cannot put your hero in a situation where it's just
- 36:19Speaker 5: ludicrous that he gets out of me, you know, because
- 36:22Speaker 5: it doesn't make him seem heroic anymore.
- 36:23Speaker 4: It's made him seem like, Okay, come on, man, you.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Think that was Ludacris that he turned it off. He
- 36:27Speaker 2: didn't want to kill Sam right then and there he wasn't.
- 36:29Speaker 2: That wasn't the time he wanted to kill him.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Why not? No, No, that.
- 36:36Speaker 5: You think these guys are going to delay us are
- 36:38Speaker 5: gonna stop me, and he's like, no, they'll just delay you.
- 36:41Speaker 5: You know, Like, but why wouldn't he want him stop
- 36:44Speaker 5: because he would have stopped.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Why does the evil Professor gives this ten minute long
- 36:49Speaker 2: speech before he presses the button to blow up the planet.
- 36:52Speaker 4: See, that's a.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Bad movie when that happens, Like, that's you know, that's
- 36:56Speaker 5: nineteen fifties.
- 36:57Speaker 4: You know screame writing.
- 36:59Speaker 5: You know, watch Me came out in nineteen eighty nine
- 37:02Speaker 5: and the Watchman, my man says, you think I'm gonna
- 37:04Speaker 5: sit here and tell you my plan like a bad
- 37:08Speaker 5: serial villain. I did it forty five minutes ago. You
- 37:12Speaker 5: know that was nineteen eighty nine. You can't do that
- 37:14Speaker 5: after Watchmen comes out. You can't have a dude give
- 37:17Speaker 5: a speech and then the hero stops him. That's silly.
- 37:21Speaker 5: I'm sorry. My man had the sonic boom on him.
- 37:24Speaker 5: All all you have to do is pull out the
- 37:26Speaker 5: gap blow or just turned the side of boom up
- 37:29Speaker 5: like he did on the other man's listen.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I think he was practical effects, but it didn't look Yeah,
- 37:36Speaker 1: it was practical, it didn't look good.
- 37:40Speaker 5: It wasn't that shit on the sad was not cgi
- 37:42Speaker 5: that was real. It just you know, it didn't makeup,
- 37:44Speaker 5: and yeah it was makeup, but.
- 37:46Speaker 1: No, I think amstrong leavy, like you said, was more menacing,
- 37:49Speaker 1: Like I just think they did this to me. Was
- 37:53Speaker 1: very like ugly dude didn't green makeup.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that's probabilities, like if they switched it.
- 38:01Speaker 2: It was somehow Sidewinder wasn't for all of this, I
- 38:04Speaker 2: would have been shipped.
- 38:05Speaker 3: I would have been scared. I'd have been like, oh,
- 38:07Speaker 3: something something.
- 38:08Speaker 4: He's going to kill it.
- 38:09Speaker 2: I believe Sidewinder will kill you the moment he can.
- 38:12Speaker 2: And maybe that calls for a short movie, but I
- 38:14Speaker 2: know he will. I know he will.
- 38:16Speaker 4: He's tried.
- 38:17Speaker 3: He literally tried in our face. He tried.
- 38:19Speaker 4: We won.
- 38:19Speaker 3: That man shot up Sam's car and then threw the
- 38:22Speaker 3: grenade and like.
- 38:25Speaker 5: That and then loaded up another clip to shoot some more. Yeah,
- 38:31Speaker 5: like that that was what I like. All of that
- 38:34Speaker 5: didn't murder you somehow, And the only thing.
- 38:37Speaker 2: He suffers from is hubris because he was just like, oh,
- 38:40Speaker 2: target down, I'm about to go check like.
- 38:43Speaker 5: Yet, and also his like ruthlessness and blowing them cops away,
- 38:46Speaker 5: like you could have taken one second to get saying
- 38:48Speaker 5: instead of the cops, but.
- 38:50Speaker 4: It was funny to me. It's just it's just.
- 38:53Speaker 5: But that's what I'm saying, you can't do that, like
- 38:56Speaker 5: and you know Thano's isn't like pulling punches, you know
- 39:01Speaker 5: in his films.
- 39:02Speaker 4: You know that's that's fannels.
- 39:03Speaker 2: And I think that comes back down to your original point,
- 39:05Speaker 2: which is silly Marvel stories, because it's like you you
- 39:10Speaker 2: can't they can't have a Fannals level person that had
- 39:13Speaker 2: maybe a fantastic forble see that where it's just like
- 39:16Speaker 2: it's nothing but annihilation, because that leaves no room.
- 39:19Speaker 4: For this nobody.
- 39:20Speaker 5: What I'm saying, it's like it doesn't matter, Like Sidewinder
- 39:22Speaker 5: wasn't pulling his punches, but somehow the leader, you know,
- 39:27Speaker 5: Sam Stearns, the leader. You know, it's like, now I'll
- 39:30Speaker 5: just walk out the room and let these dudes.
- 39:32Speaker 2: You know, I'm trying to find a defense here. He
- 39:35Speaker 2: uses his brain, not his bronze.
- 39:37Speaker 1: He doesn't well probability of intellectual abilities.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Intellectual probabilities. You never thought the probability of getting the
- 39:48Speaker 4: ass beating?
- 39:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean yeah, like why.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Not just shoot them? He had them right there.
- 40:04Speaker 3: I thought he was a weird character. I'm sorry, Sam,
- 40:07Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I'm like, okay, guys, get off the screen.
- 40:11Speaker 5: That's the thing is I love the Leader. I love
- 40:13Speaker 5: Sam Stearn's man. Yeah missed.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Uh, you guys touched on something that I had lots
- 40:22Speaker 2: of notes on the CGI. I did not like the
- 40:27Speaker 2: way it looked for Falcon slash Captain America's wings. And
- 40:32Speaker 2: I'm very purposely saying Captain's falcons slash slash Captain America
- 40:36Speaker 2: because both of them. And this is not a disrespect
- 40:40Speaker 2: to what they're trying to achieve. What what what Sam Wilson,
- 40:43Speaker 2: this versus Sam Wilson is trying to achieve by picking
- 40:45Speaker 2: on that mantle.
- 40:46Speaker 4: This is not a disrespect.
- 40:46Speaker 2: This is just in terms of how it is executed
- 40:49Speaker 2: on screen. I still feel like it's more Falcon than
- 40:54Speaker 2: anything else. I'm not feeling. And this has nothing to
- 40:58Speaker 2: do with with with Chris Evans and none of that,
- 41:02Speaker 2: white people, none of that, none of that. I just
- 41:05Speaker 2: I don't see I see Falcon more than anything. I
- 41:08Speaker 2: see Falcon in red, white and blue m That's the point.
- 41:12Speaker 3: And again, personal just a personal thing.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Yes he has a shield, yes he has all the traps,
- 41:18Speaker 2: but I don't and maybe that's because Sam, as the character,
- 41:20Speaker 2: doesn't it's still grappling with believing that he is Captain America.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Because he's still struggling. I'm still struggling. I'm just like
- 41:27Speaker 2: a I just kind of see a souped up falcon
- 41:30Speaker 2: and now you got a sidekick.
- 41:32Speaker 5: And I think that's I think that's not good enough,
- 41:35Speaker 5: because we're past the point where he should be struggling.
- 41:38Speaker 4: He like, you know the series with him struggling.
- 41:42Speaker 2: This should be they showed him, they show him mentally struggling,
- 41:45Speaker 2: I should say, but.
- 41:47Speaker 4: That's because that's a problem with the Marvel method of
- 41:50Speaker 4: making these things is like they have to act like
- 41:53Speaker 4: you have never seen the series, so they still to
- 41:55Speaker 4: have him go through that same struggle again that he
- 41:58Speaker 4: went through in the series, because they can't guarantee that
- 42:00Speaker 4: you've seen the series, so they had to make him
- 42:03Speaker 4: like struggle with it at least a little bit.
- 42:04Speaker 3: You know, in a series he's accepted it.
- 42:06Speaker 5: Yeah, by the end of it, he's accepted it. He
- 42:08Speaker 5: is fully on I'm Captain America. I don't need to
- 42:10Speaker 5: see him. I don't need any of this. This is
- 42:12Speaker 5: who I am. And now he goes through the same
- 42:15Speaker 5: you know journey again in the film. It's like the
- 42:17Speaker 5: same problem with Strala Witch where she went through her
- 42:19Speaker 5: same journey again in that movie, because they'd act like,
- 42:23Speaker 5: you know, you've never seen Wanda vision. You know, it
- 42:26Speaker 5: was a you know, different journey and she had you know,
- 42:28Speaker 5: but what's yeah.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Yeah that was And that was kind of a tangent
- 42:33Speaker 2: of what my original point was, which was I didn't
- 42:35Speaker 2: like the way the cg I looked on his wings
- 42:37Speaker 2: like it looked disjointed to me.
- 42:39Speaker 4: It didn't look like like.
- 42:40Speaker 2: The live acts like it literally looked here's some computer
- 42:43Speaker 2: jenermal imagery behind a real life person.
- 42:46Speaker 4: Like it didn't look mechanical.
- 42:49Speaker 2: It looked like a digital representation of what his wings
- 42:52Speaker 2: look like.
- 42:54Speaker 4: It didn't think, I feel she's going to be mad
- 42:58Speaker 4: now that.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Did you have another comment?
- 43:00Speaker 4: No, no, no, I was gonna.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Say about the third act, like it looked like like
- 43:05Speaker 1: even in the especially in the cherry Blossom, I'm like,
- 43:07Speaker 1: you can't find a freaking cherry blossom.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Like the whole background looks looked like a green screen.
- 43:12Speaker 4: It did.
- 43:14Speaker 3: It bothered me. It was like they were just placed there.
- 43:16Speaker 3: I was like, you can't find a cherry bossom.
- 43:18Speaker 5: There was green screen, like when when they like when
- 43:21Speaker 5: they didn't need to be green screen, they could find
- 43:27Speaker 5: a real room, like you know, it was like there was.
- 43:30Speaker 4: A real room.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Yeah, so I will say that that some of the
- 43:36Speaker 2: graphics effects I don't know, well, not the effects. The
- 43:39Speaker 2: effects were fine. It was the graphics sometimes that disappointed
- 43:42Speaker 2: me a bit.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it was, yeah, we were saying for me, the biggest,
- 43:48Speaker 1: biggest downfall was that this was not shot in Imax.
- 43:52Speaker 1: So it was pretty upsetting that like a lot of
- 43:56Speaker 1: look like clean and did.
- 43:58Speaker 3: You guys see the Imax because yes we did.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Okay, so it wasn't shot in an Imax, but they
- 44:03Speaker 2: showed down on the Imax screen, so all the mistakes
- 44:06Speaker 2: were even larger.
- 44:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crisp.
- 44:09Speaker 1: And clean, like it was not shot in Imax.
- 44:11Speaker 5: And like I said, like you're like you said, it
- 44:14Speaker 5: looked like some of them was shot like for TV
- 44:16Speaker 5: more so because it just.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Yeah, there was one scene where Falcon Junior both you know,
- 44:23Speaker 2: like he's like the first time you see him like
- 44:26Speaker 2: flying around kicking ass oh and he's like trying to
- 44:28Speaker 2: be cute. He fought he kiss down to the ground
- 44:30Speaker 2: and the way, like he stumbles down to the ground,
- 44:32Speaker 2: like you see when like the strings.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Take over from where the computer ended up. But you
- 44:39Speaker 3: could see the wobblys, you know, that wobble wobble that
- 44:42Speaker 3: happens when you're trying to switch between digital to practical.
- 44:45Speaker 1: And I'm like, it's been over twenty years, Marvel, Like
- 44:48Speaker 1: you can't be doing it.
- 44:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I was like, I was supposed to see that line.
- 44:53Speaker 4: I see the lace.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I'm supposed to that lace.
- 44:57Speaker 4: I don't like. Is it that they're losing their touch?
- 45:02Speaker 4: Is it that they're rushing too many? I don't think
- 45:05Speaker 4: it's losing touch.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Perhaps rushing perhaps, Yeah, But then again, wasn't this movie
- 45:09Speaker 3: delayed because of reridesing this and this and that, and so.
- 45:15Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 45:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna take I know I'm gonna get heat for this,
- 45:21Speaker 1: but like I I'm a man of steel fan, but
- 45:23Speaker 1: that ship looks better than most of them has put
- 45:28Speaker 1: out and this ship is over ten years ago.
- 45:29Speaker 2: You're not gonna get no heat for that. I'm with you, y,
- 45:35Speaker 2: like it's so beautiful.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Why is it so difficult for them to do this
- 45:39Speaker 1: when this is supposed to be like fucking Captain America.
- 45:42Speaker 4: I think it might be.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Like every time I see errors like that this late
- 45:47Speaker 2: in the process, I'm just wanting to think it has
- 45:50Speaker 2: to because they was rushing. It has to be because
- 45:52Speaker 2: they didn't give the animators enough time, or maybe they
- 45:55Speaker 2: were cutting corners. It's not that they don't have to
- 45:57Speaker 2: know how they clearly do. You've seen it. It's this
- 46:00Speaker 2: has to be some other traphical reason, hopefully then, Like.
- 46:04Speaker 4: Some of it was break like when his head is
- 46:06Speaker 4: damn poem, like that shit was amazing.
- 46:08Speaker 2: The Hulk was the shining gem, the Red Hulk like
- 46:13Speaker 2: that was you could tell they spent all day and night,
- 46:15Speaker 2: forty years and forty nights, forty days before nights rather
- 46:18Speaker 2: on Red Hulk to make sure he was perfect, no problems.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Then everything else was kind of like.
- 46:24Speaker 5: Oh, you guys are a lack for words right now.
- 46:30Speaker 4: I want to talk about the end.
- 46:32Speaker 5: Predit see, Okay, this feels like Marvel doesn't know where
- 46:38Speaker 5: they're going anymore, like in the worst way.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Like remember when it used to mean something.
- 46:47Speaker 5: But and I've said this before, like Marvel never had
- 46:50Speaker 5: a real plan. That's thee It was a lot of
- 46:53Speaker 5: luck and magic that allowed you know, end game and
- 46:56Speaker 5: everything to work out where it seemed.
- 46:58Speaker 4: Like all this really building towards this, because it really wasn't.
- 47:02Speaker 5: It was always just like you know, a movie, and
- 47:04Speaker 5: then there'd be some random at the credit scene and
- 47:06Speaker 5: halftime they were cute, and halftime they made sense, and
- 47:09Speaker 5: halftime they had arec con that credit scene later on
- 47:12Speaker 5: because it didn't made sense with what they were doing anyway.
- 47:15Speaker 4: So but this was just like, yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 5: And I'm not gonna say what happened to it, because
- 47:22Speaker 5: I don't, you know, we spoiled enough. But it was
- 47:24Speaker 5: like I was, y'all, y'all can watch the shit on YouTube, man,
- 47:28Speaker 5: Like I'm talking about the end credit.
- 47:29Speaker 4: Scene, you know the movie.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Yeah, no, there's no mid credits scenes. It's only an
- 47:35Speaker 2: end credit scene. That's another thing they which is also
- 47:38Speaker 2: slightly departure, like sometimes.
- 47:40Speaker 3: They mix it up. But also I thought, on the.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Last few, maybe eight years or so, they've been doing both,
- 47:47Speaker 2: whether they were worth it or not. And now like
- 47:49Speaker 2: everyone sat there and when nothing happened mad credits, they
- 47:51Speaker 2: were like the whole audience was like at my theater,
- 47:56Speaker 2: and then at the end it happened, and then everyone
- 47:59Speaker 2: stood up, like one guy actually said why the funk
- 48:01Speaker 2: would they keep us here for that?
- 48:03Speaker 4: And then like.
- 48:05Speaker 6: So I'm like, well he was upset, damn. Yeah, yeah,
- 48:13Speaker 6: it just it felt like, oh.
- 48:17Speaker 5: That was that was really I don't want to say depressing,
- 48:20Speaker 5: but good thing is I'm very hyper as afore. You know,
- 48:24Speaker 5: so I don't know, well, yeah, this may be less hype.
- 48:30Speaker 2: How it's not even like in the same universe technically
- 48:34Speaker 2: the same multiverse version.
- 48:37Speaker 4: I don't know. It just it was like Fantastic four
- 48:43Speaker 4: for me. That's with that, buddy, all right, well, yeah,
- 48:46Speaker 4: you're right, you're right.
- 48:47Speaker 5: I'm gonna trust that writer and director to do their
- 48:49Speaker 5: own thing and not have Like I said, I feel
- 48:51Speaker 5: like the biggest problem in this movie is that it
- 48:53Speaker 5: got hampered by political something, you know, with politics. I
- 48:57Speaker 5: think that's that's one of the big problems for is
- 49:00Speaker 5: it definitely got chopped up, and I feel like there
- 49:03Speaker 5: was things they were trying to say that they couldn't
- 49:05Speaker 5: say in the end because you know.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Naw, I think most of my issues tied back to
- 49:12Speaker 1: Falcon and Winter Soldier. Like, one of my biggest complaints
- 49:16Speaker 1: about Marvel in general is they're scared to show blood
- 49:20Speaker 1: now and it really pisses me off because I feel
- 49:23Speaker 1: like this was like the PG version of Falcon and
- 49:25Speaker 1: Winter Soldier, and that shit was gritty, that shit was real,
- 49:29Speaker 1: like there were not only like serious like subject matter
- 49:33Speaker 1: like Isaiah's story. We also didn't get any mentioned of
- 49:37Speaker 1: you mentioned earlier. We didn't get any mention of his grandson.
- 49:40Speaker 1: But I feel like they missed a lot of opportunities
- 49:44Speaker 1: and I want gritty darkness back. I want more feeling,
- 49:48Speaker 1: more emotion and blood because they're superheroes. There's blood, She's
- 49:53Speaker 1: gonna happen, people are gonna die, Like I feel like
- 49:55Speaker 1: Falcon and Winter Soldier felt totally more connected to Winter
- 50:00Speaker 1: Soldier and like the earlier Cat movies where Marvel was
- 50:04Speaker 1: like taking more chances. Now I feel like they're playing
- 50:07Speaker 1: it too safe.
- 50:07Speaker 3: Everything is like PG.
- 50:09Speaker 1: There was no mention of Sharon Carter, the Flaxmasters, Baron's EMO,
- 50:14Speaker 1: so it also.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Felt like they were relying on felt like in the
- 50:17Speaker 3: Winter Soldier.
- 50:18Speaker 1: But at the same time they completely forgot about it
- 50:20Speaker 1: and it was just the Hulk sequel, like they kind
- 50:23Speaker 1: of like missed some opportunity like tying in more for Sam.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Essentially, what did y'all.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Think about that, that decision to tie it, to combine
- 50:32Speaker 2: Captain Falcoony Win The Soldier and then the old Hulk
- 50:36Speaker 2: movies and put them together.
- 50:38Speaker 4: That's essentially what they did. Yeah, they threw a lip
- 50:41Speaker 4: tyler just.
- 50:41Speaker 3: You know, for yeah, just for face ships and giggles.
- 50:45Speaker 4: But how did you feel about that?
- 50:49Speaker 5: Yeah, this movie relies on you having seen that whole
- 50:54Speaker 5: movie for a lot of it to make sense, you
- 50:56Speaker 5: have got to have seen a whole movie that has
- 50:58Speaker 5: not been referenced or even seen by a lot of people.
- 51:01Speaker 4: I mean, the shit came out fifteen years ago.
- 51:06Speaker 5: And then but then, like you said, they don't want
- 51:10Speaker 5: to reference a series they came out two years ago,
- 51:14Speaker 5: which was his series.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Like, it's so weird. Two years ago wasn't long about that?
- 51:19Speaker 3: It's longer.
- 51:20Speaker 1: I think it was like twenty nineteen, right, goddamn?
- 51:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you know time flies, Yeah, covid U.
- 51:28Speaker 3: Twenty twenty one.
- 51:29Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, four four years you damn twenty nineteen, six
- 51:33Speaker 5: years ago now, goddamn.
- 51:35Speaker 4: Yeah. It doesn't belay your point though.
- 51:39Speaker 5: Your point is, yeah, No, My point is like now
- 51:42Speaker 5: in those six years they have in well now four years,
- 51:44Speaker 5: they have not addressed like you said the power broker.
- 51:46Speaker 5: They've not addressed his grandson should have shown up with
- 51:49Speaker 5: my man gets thrown in jail. Like that seems like
- 51:51Speaker 5: a time, you know, your grandson shows up to check
- 51:54Speaker 5: on you, and none of that comes up in this film,
- 51:57Speaker 5: so it doesn't really Yeah, that makes that That is
- 52:02Speaker 5: a choice that really made sense, and that was my point.
- 52:04Speaker 5: That's pretty much one of the last thing that I
- 52:05Speaker 5: have to say. It's like, I remember when they first
- 52:07Speaker 5: introduced the idea of going from movies to TV and
- 52:10Speaker 5: all this stuff, and I was like, Okay, it's all
- 52:12Speaker 5: give me on Disney Plus. So now they don't have
- 52:15Speaker 5: the excuses that they had when the Agency shield was out,
- 52:17Speaker 5: when none of that connected at all, And then we're
- 52:20Speaker 5: right back at that now, and that seems so sad
- 52:23Speaker 5: because the chance and the possibilities they had to do
- 52:28Speaker 5: something really ill was there and they haven't.
- 52:31Speaker 4: Up to this point.
- 52:32Speaker 5: Yeah, none of the shows have mattered other than you
- 52:37Speaker 5: you might get a little more context, like let's say,
- 52:39Speaker 5: on the Miss Marvels, you'll like I told people, if
- 52:42Speaker 5: you watch the Miss Marvels show, you'll like the family more.
- 52:46Speaker 5: But beyond that, you won't. You know, there's nothing to
- 52:49Speaker 5: know about it, Like when you watch the Marvels. If
- 52:53Speaker 5: you watched Falcon of Winter Soldier and then come and
- 52:57Speaker 5: to watch this film, you'll more. But if you didn't,
- 53:02Speaker 5: I don't.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Know if that's a good for a curse. It's like
- 53:04Speaker 2: they're trying to peace to gods at the same time.
- 53:07Speaker 2: You know, people who want to watch the shows and
- 53:08Speaker 2: people who don't want to watch the shows. And I
- 53:11Speaker 2: don't know if I can't do that.
- 53:12Speaker 5: But then why, like you said, why would you reference
- 53:13Speaker 5: a fifteen, sixteen, seventeen.
- 53:15Speaker 4: Year old old movie multiple times? I mean, now, I
- 53:19Speaker 4: mean major through lines.
- 53:21Speaker 3: It's a sequel, weird the.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Fifteen year old movie.
- 53:26Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, listen, you know that was a choice.
- 53:34Speaker 3: It's a choice.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I will say, lots of choices, lots of notes I
- 53:39Speaker 2: had about this movie. But still despite those notes and choices,
- 53:44Speaker 2: I still think it was a decent film. I still
- 53:46Speaker 2: think like someone said, yo is on the board and
- 53:50Speaker 2: then movie theater shot can watch, I'd be like, yeah,
- 53:52Speaker 2: because it had And also at the end of the day,
- 53:55Speaker 2: it does still have major implications. Y'all talk, y'all touched
- 53:57Speaker 2: on it already. Again, I guess mad spoilery review. We're
- 54:01Speaker 2: gonna have to do a separate Nonswell review at this point.
- 54:03Speaker 2: But the Adamantium, the uh, the whole celestial thing, like
- 54:08Speaker 2: the the whole connection with the raft and where that's going,
- 54:11Speaker 2: and you know, the unnecessary end credit, which was just
- 54:14Speaker 2: talking about more than about what's already happening in the MCU.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Those are major still at the end of the day,
- 54:21Speaker 2: still major foundational points because because where we are right now, yeah,
- 54:28Speaker 2: where we are is at the end of phase five,
- 54:29Speaker 2: because then there's after the Thunderbolts then Phase six begins,
- 54:34Speaker 2: I believe it begins. But uh, Fantasy four is in
- 54:38Speaker 2: phase six, so like this is yeah.
- 54:40Speaker 5: This is like the tail end of Thunderbolts is supposed
- 54:43Speaker 5: to be like the Avengers of this.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we're in a so so in terms of holding
- 54:48Speaker 2: would they say holding space what they said for that
- 54:51Speaker 2: other movie in terms.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Of holding space in FA Fase five, this old space.
- 54:54Speaker 2: But it's also a foundational point for the next part
- 54:57Speaker 2: of the mc U journey. So I said, think it's
- 55:00Speaker 2: an important watch. I don't think you're gonna get every
- 55:04Speaker 2: single thing that you may want out of a Marvel movie.
- 55:07Speaker 2: By far, I think you maybe disappointed, but I still
- 55:10Speaker 2: think it's a solid film.
- 55:13Speaker 4: Five went down bad?
- 55:16Speaker 3: Why do you?
- 55:18Speaker 5: Because four is in game? Right, Like, that's that's phase four, Right,
- 55:22Speaker 5: I've lost track. I don't know why they're still doing this.
- 55:25Speaker 5: But you know, like I said that after phase.
- 55:27Speaker 3: One, they got to keep track of it somehow, right.
- 55:30Speaker 5: Why they're just movies. They don't need to do that.
- 55:32Speaker 5: You know, people already know they connect.
- 55:33Speaker 1: It, like I feel like before it made sense. Now
- 55:36Speaker 1: we're just they don't know what they're doing.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Phase four they're including well see this this this also,
- 55:41Speaker 2: this timeline is all off. I'm looking at the old timeline,
- 55:43Speaker 2: but I guess that was included.
- 55:46Speaker 4: What ind game? Maybe? Yeah, that's four? Yeah, and then
- 55:50Speaker 4: phase five is where we're at now after endgame?
- 55:53Speaker 3: Okay that games you so long ago?
- 55:56Speaker 1: I thought that was like the end of three. Yeah,
- 56:00Speaker 1: I've been a lot of like mediocre.
- 56:02Speaker 4: That makes more sense.
- 56:03Speaker 5: And that's the four and five for that bad But
- 56:05Speaker 5: there was no adventures movie after in.
- 56:08Speaker 3: Game just in a bad time right now?
- 56:11Speaker 4: Man, no way home was in the phase four? Is
- 56:13Speaker 4: that what happened? I don't even know anymore? All right,
- 56:18Speaker 4: let's wrap this up.
- 56:20Speaker 3: Point is we're appy end.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Okay, we're into a new era.
- 56:26Speaker 3: We're trying to enter into a new era of Marvel.
- 56:29Speaker 2: And we're trying to enter into a new era of Marvel. Okay,
- 56:36Speaker 2: any just wrap up points you wanted to make Nadya
- 56:39Speaker 2: just it's fun. I Like I said, I like Sam
- 56:42Speaker 2: and Joaquin.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Yes, he proves to be like a trustworthy, like sidekick partner,
- 56:47Speaker 1: and he has a lot to learn, but they have
- 56:49Speaker 1: a really fun dynamic and I like to see more
- 56:52Speaker 1: of them in the future. Uh, the fight scenes were fun,
- 56:57Speaker 1: and yeah, I think it's a worthy watch. Like I said,
- 56:59Speaker 1: I enjoy seeing Maki on screen. It's like a seven
- 57:03Speaker 1: for me.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Okay, I would probably rate it a seven out of
- 57:08Speaker 3: ten to seven.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Yeah out of ten, it's definitely a seven.
- 57:11Speaker 5: Yeah, seven point five. We talked about all the good things.
- 57:16Speaker 5: I really enjoyed the Red Hulk. I just would have
- 57:18Speaker 5: liked to see the Red Hulk because I really enjoyed
- 57:20Speaker 5: seeing him bust Maggie's ass, Like I would have liked
- 57:23Speaker 5: to see him being a you know, whoop on a
- 57:24Speaker 5: few more people, somebody tougher maybe, you know, so you
- 57:27Speaker 5: could have really just you know, hammered the living life
- 57:30Speaker 5: out of them.
- 57:30Speaker 4: But you know it was cool enough for what it was.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Yeah, just to tag on that real quick.
- 57:34Speaker 1: What I did like with Red Hulk is that because
- 57:36Speaker 1: I've hated how Marvel has handled the Hulk lately. He's
- 57:40Speaker 1: like terrible lately, like absolutely terrible. He's a jobber, he
- 57:45Speaker 1: has no no, he's nothing, he's he's a happy guy
- 57:50Speaker 1: in the corner like he's no. So I liked seeing
- 57:53Speaker 1: like an actual Hulk, like messing it up.
- 57:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I'd like Professor Hope more than most people. And yeah,
- 58:04Speaker 5: I don't know because that the one thing I have
- 58:06Speaker 5: to just doesn't disagree with, Like you, I get it,
- 58:08Speaker 5: but like when men are like oh you know, and
- 58:10Speaker 5: it's like that turns into that whole fanboy weak ship,
- 58:13Speaker 5: you know.
- 58:14Speaker 4: So but you know, I feel you.
- 58:17Speaker 5: I like seeing the whole mess shit up, and I like,
- 58:19Speaker 5: you know him, like I say, him casually destroying you know,
- 58:23Speaker 5: classic mind monuments.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Yeah, historic buildings, historic buildings left, the White House is wipe,
- 58:30Speaker 2: we just left the right and slapping his ship out
- 58:33Speaker 2: of America, you know.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Ah that was great.
- 58:35Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, oh that that that's the last point
- 58:38Speaker 2: I keep. I think this is my my long term
- 58:41Speaker 2: complaint about Marvel picking and choosing when you want to
- 58:45Speaker 2: show power levels and when you don't want to show
- 58:47Speaker 2: power levels, and not being consistent with that. How does
- 58:53Speaker 2: both Falcon Junior and Captain America have trouble with five
- 58:58Speaker 2: armed guards in a room, but Cyber's little ass could
- 59:02Speaker 2: run through a hallway of ten no problem handling them
- 59:05Speaker 2: on her own.
- 59:06Speaker 3: So ah, she was like a troll. We're talking about that.
- 59:09Speaker 3: She was like two feet.
- 59:11Speaker 4: Two feet bruh.
- 59:12Speaker 2: And this is not this is not exclusive to this film.
- 59:15Speaker 2: This is just a Marvel thing. And again it's plot armor,
- 59:17Speaker 2: I get it, whatever, but it's like annoying many many
- 59:21Speaker 2: times where it's like, guys, is the person nerved or
- 59:24Speaker 2: not if they op or not? Like I don't understand
- 59:28Speaker 2: how they're op one moment and then they can't take
- 59:30Speaker 2: a punch the next, So.
- 59:31Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 59:32Speaker 3: That's why I didn't like Caukay.
- 59:35Speaker 5: All right, wow, Nadia, let the people know where they
