- 0:00Welcome to Frontline Static, we will get to hear interviews with
- 0:02some of my clients journeys of getting into flight and how they
- 0:05utilize coaching to help them create success of getting hired
- 0:08with less confusion and more ease.
- 0:10Make your dream a reality of getting into flight.
- 0:12Listen in as you hear some of the stories of the people
- 0:14getting there and come join the Flight Prep group.
- 0:18Hey you guys, welcome to this Instagram live.
- 0:20It's been a minute since I've done 1, so I'm glad to be on
- 0:25with you today. I've been really thinking about
- 0:28as I've been chatting with some of you guys over DM some common
- 0:31questions that I've been getting and I really just want to focus
- 0:36on and talk about how to get started today.
- 0:39And I want to focus on the people who know that they want
- 0:42flight nursing but just don't know how to get started and are
- 0:45overwhelmed by the process. So as you are joining me, I want
- 0:50to make this as interactive as possible.
- 0:53Let me know where you are currently in the journey of
- 0:56getting to flight. If you're an ICU nurse, if
- 0:58you're an ER nurse, what state you are in the US.
- 1:02I'd love to be able to look at the comments and I'm going to
- 1:06ask some questions during this live as well and make this
- 1:09interactive. I also want to let you guys know
- 1:12I'm going to take some time to answer questions for those of
- 1:15you guys that are on it is the most useful.
- 1:18Instead of putting them in the comment boxes, if you could put
- 1:22in the question box down below. It's a little bubble that has a
- 1:25question mark start entering in your questions there and I'm
- 1:28going to get to each of the questions that are there with
- 1:31the time that we have allotted in this next hour that I'm going
- 1:33to be with you guys. OK, great.
- 1:35Someone put I'm in nursing school in Vermont.
- 1:37Great. This is a for anybody who is
- 1:39interested in flight, no matter where you are starting in your
- 1:44individual journey of getting there.
- 1:46And the Flight Prep Academy. My program is for anyone who is
- 1:49interested in flight. I have pre nursing students, I
- 1:51have nursing students, I have EMTs, paramedics, critical care
- 1:54nurses. Anybody who knows that flight
- 1:58nursing is flight or flight paramedicine is what they want.
- 2:01This is for you. So today again, specifically,
- 2:05I'm going to be talking about getting started.
- 2:09Great. I see another person, new grad,
- 2:11first year in Arizona. Perfect.
- 2:13And this is like the perfect time to be talking to you guys
- 2:15because this is the time where a lot of you are graduating
- 2:18nursing school or just finishing up programs going to the next
- 2:22thing. I just see that someone had put
- 2:24that they're I'm getting ready to start the paramedic program.
- 2:26I'm from California too. So nice to meet you.
- 2:29Nice to have you here. So this is really, you know, for
- 2:34those of you that are just finishing up nursing school or
- 2:37EMT school and you're like, what's next?
- 2:39Like I know what I know I want flight, but what's next?
- 2:42What's the next step? So I'm gonna talk about that a
- 2:44little bit today, my strategy, and then I'm gonna talk about
- 2:48the program of the Flight Prep Academy and how that can really
- 2:51help you get there. So you wanna stay tuned.
- 2:53I have a special offer for those of you guys who stay on the
- 2:55whole time as well. So again, getting started is the
- 2:59hardest part and I want to offer for you guys instead of focusing
- 3:04on the whole path and the time it's going to take to get there
- 3:08that you just focus on taking one small action.
- 3:12Now, I talked to a lot of people that are like I just graduated
- 3:16or I just finished EMT school, like I have a long ways and I
- 3:19want to offer you. You want to get started as soon
- 3:22as you know that flight is what you want.
- 3:25This is a competitive market and so doing these simple things
- 3:28that I'm going to talk to you about today is what's going to
- 3:31be the key that's going to get you hired in this competitive
- 3:34market. So you want to start taking
- 3:36small action as soon as you know that you want flight wherever
- 3:40you are starting in this game, knowing the winning strategy and
- 3:45then continuing to take that small action is what will get
- 3:49you hired in flight nursing. I have ran this program now for
- 3:52the last three years and the people who have joined me
- 3:54earlier on in nursing school or as EMTs are getting hired before
- 3:59the three-year mark of working critical care or as a medic and
- 4:02in their first one to two flight interviews.
- 4:05And this is just because they've mapped out their plan and they
- 4:08stayed on track and they haven't spun out of confusion and
- 4:11retracted from taking action. So knowing the winning strategy
- 4:15is really important and then continuing to take the action is
- 4:18just as important. So I'm going to teach you that
- 4:20winning strategy today and where to start.
- 4:23You absolutely do not want to focus on time and experience.
- 4:27Now, a common mistaken thing that people focus on who want to
- 4:31get into flight is time and experience.
- 4:34And I'm here to tell you that to get into flight paramedicine or
- 4:37flight nursing, flight paramedicine, you just need
- 4:39three years of being a medic. Flight nursing, you just need
- 4:42three years of ER or ICU experience.
- 4:46That's it. Done.
- 4:48People like to overcomplicate that though and so I'm here to
- 4:52tell you you do not need both ER and ICU.
- 4:55You do not need pre hospital or your medic or EMT license as A
- 5:00to get into flight nursing. You do not need a level 1.
- 5:03It can be a rural bed ER or critical access center.
- 5:05ERICU you do not need pediatric, you do not need cardiac devices.
- 5:11You absolutely do not even need a certification or multiple
- 5:15certifications and you don't need trauma courses.
- 5:18But what I see these people spend lots of time chasing that
- 5:21stuff because they think flight companies are looking for time
- 5:24and experience. Flight companies are just
- 5:27looking for ER or ICU experience three years or more and they are
- 5:33looking for who you are, what you value and the team player
- 5:37you are. Because of that, they're very,
- 5:39very focused on leadership qualities and and how you have
- 5:42grown that in your current unit you have stayed on.
- 5:45So I want to offer you, it is absolutely the best to stay in
- 5:50one department and one unit that whole three years because in
- 5:54that one department and one unit, you're really going to
- 5:56grow your leadership skills. And ultimately, flight companies
- 5:59are looking for leaders. OK, I'm gonna tell you guys now
- 6:04what the winning strategy is and how to get your brain on board
- 6:08with it because this is something literally when I was
- 6:10trying to get into flight nursing, no one was teaching.
- 6:14And this strategy of getting into flight nursing, I have not
- 6:17heard anybody teach like I do. It's a thing that has helped
- 6:20dozens of people in my programs get hired.
- 6:23I was counting, I think I got hired over 25 people into flight
- 6:26nursing over the last year in my program.
- 6:30And people join me in all different walks of their
- 6:33journey. But people who are ready who are
- 6:35at that three years, I've gotten dozen the people hired in the
- 6:41last year into my program by just focusing on this winning
- 6:43strategy. OK, here's the winning strategy.
- 6:46These three things you want to map out your plan earlier on.
- 6:50You want to know what things to take out and what simple things
- 6:54to focus on no matter where you are starting.
- 6:56So if you know you want flight nursing as soon as you're going
- 6:59in a nursing school or nursing school, this is where you want
- 7:02to start mapping out your plan. You want to know what you're
- 7:04doing year one, year 2 and year 3.
- 7:06So here's the winning strategy, mapping out your plan no matter
- 7:08where you're starting. The second thing you want to be
- 7:10doing is doing ride alongs and making connections with flight
- 7:14companies. Now you do not want to wait till
- 7:17your three-year mark and start looking for online applications.
- 7:20When you look for online applications, those positions
- 7:23are already spoken for by people who've been doing ride alongs
- 7:27and making connections. So as soon as you know you want
- 7:30flight, even if it's as soon as nursing school or you just
- 7:32graduated nursing school, you want to start doing ride alongs
- 7:36and making connections with flight companies.
- 7:38This is so important because they get to know you and you get
- 7:42to know them and it is in a environment that's not
- 7:47pressured, it's relaxed. They get to know who you are,
- 7:50what you value, and the team player you are and you get to
- 7:53sit in that helicopter seat. I definitely recommend doing
- 7:57about 6:00 to 8:00 right alongs a year, even if it's with the
- 8:00same company. And if you're asking yourself
- 8:02how do I do that? I teach you all of this in the
- 8:05flight prep Academy. I don't know if you guys saw but
- 8:07I posted on my on my Instagram page yesterday.
- 8:12I have a client currently in the flight prep Academy who has done
- 8:166 ride alongs in one month. Now I don't recommend this.
- 8:20In fact I do recommend doing one ride along every other month.
- 8:24But she has done 6. And the reason she has done this
- 8:27is because she did her first one and she got hooked and she loves
- 8:30being able to sit in that seat. See what her future job's going
- 8:33to be like. Be a part of the team and you it
- 8:35will just anchor in your desire of wanting to get into flight.
- 8:39And so that's the second step. Do ride alongs, make connections
- 8:42with flight companies. I teach you exactly how to do
- 8:44that, exactly how to ask for one today and to secure one this
- 8:49month. The last simple step of a
- 8:51strategy, the winning strategy is prepping confidently for
- 8:54flight interviews. You do not want to go in and not
- 8:57knowing what to expect in a flight interview.
- 8:59Flight interviews are nothing like critical care interviews.
- 9:02So because of that, I prep you in my program.
- 9:04I go over common panel interview questions and go over case
- 9:08scenarios and how to systematically answer them.
- 9:10And I have a process that I take you through so that no matter
- 9:13what they've given you, even if you've never seen that scenario
- 9:16before, you can confidently walk them through it.
- 9:19So the winning strategy again is mapping out your plan earlier
- 9:22on, doing ride alongs, making connections with flight
- 9:24companies, and prepping confidently for flight
- 9:27interviews. So instead of focusing on the
- 9:30whole path and all the things that you need to do to get there
- 9:34and all the time you think it's going to take, you want to focus
- 9:37in on taking one small action. And sometimes that small tiny
- 9:43action is just getting started. You want to move off of the
- 9:47fence from deciding if you want flight and then committing to
- 9:52it. So when I say take one small
- 9:55action, one thing that I want to offer you guys that you can do
- 9:59today is make one connection with a flight company today.
- 10:03And that's reaching out to them, that's connecting with them,
- 10:06that's asking for a ride along, that's asking for a base visit.
- 10:09You are able, when you come join my program to get a ride along
- 10:12scheduled within the month of joining.
- 10:14And I teach you immediately how to reach out and start making
- 10:18connections. So take one small action.
- 10:21Getting to flight is not linear. A lot of people believe it's
- 10:27work ER, work ICU, then you do an online application, then you
- 10:32interview and then you get hired.
- 10:33It's not linear. It's going to require you to
- 10:35think outside of the box. It's going to require you in
- 10:38this competitive market to get started.
- 10:41Now the earlier you get started, the better are your chances of
- 10:45getting hired. And I teach you exactly how to
- 10:47do that. So I want to give you an
- 10:48examples of I think I put down like 3 people in my flight prep
- 10:54Academy who who their path to flight was not linear and how
- 10:59they've gotten there. So recently I just helped AER
- 11:02nurse get hired who's been an OR nurse for six years.
- 11:06She knew when she went into nursing school that she always
- 11:08wanted flight nursing, but life got in the way.
- 11:12Things happened, family events happened as life does for all of
- 11:15us. And she kind of steered off the
- 11:17path. She found herself in critical
- 11:19care float pool and then she reached out to me a couple years
- 11:22ago and was like, I really want to get on track to flight
- 11:25nursing. And she had this whole long list
- 11:27of things that she was working on.
- 11:29She's working on getting her CEN, She was working on getting
- 11:32her EMP basic. She was trying to work ER and
- 11:35ICU and this critical flow pool position.
- 11:37And I said, we are actually going to cut all of that out.
- 11:41We are only going to focus on getting you into an ER or an ICU
- 11:46and starting to connect with flight companies now to do ride
- 11:49alongs and make connections. And she said, OK, she said it
- 11:53seems really simple, but I'm going to trust you.
- 11:55I'm going to go through it. She's got herself into an ER and
- 11:59it was I think a Level 3 ER. It was, it does not need to be a
- 12:02level 1. And she started working there
- 12:06full time. And then she started immediately
- 12:08doing ride alongs and making connections.
- 12:10She started doing about two or three.
- 12:12And one of the flight companies really, really liked her and
- 12:15wanted her. They liked her so much that they
- 12:17put her resume on the fridge and said, said I really when a
- 12:22position opens, we know that we want you, so we're going to just
- 12:25keep this. And she ended up interviewing
- 12:28for a They said we would love for you to just come and
- 12:31interview even though we don't have a spot.
- 12:32So she interviewed for the position, six months later a
- 12:35spot opened, even though they had told her it was probably
- 12:38going to be a year, maybe 18 months.
- 12:40So what I'm noticing with flight companies is that they're
- 12:43interviewing 6 to 18 months ahead of time now.
- 12:46They're putting you kind of in a pre qualified group of people so
- 12:51that when a position does open, they can just pull from that
- 12:54group. So when you're just sifting
- 12:56through online applications and looking online for openings,
- 12:59that's too late. Most of the times those online
- 13:03applications are spoken 4 by people who have been doing these
- 13:06ride alongs and have been added to this Bank of interviewees 6
- 13:10to 18 months ago. And so This is why it's so
- 13:13important to start doing ride alongs and making connections
- 13:15right now. So six months later, Fast
- 13:18forward, she got hired and she had only worked ER for less than
- 13:22one year. Granted, she was an OR nurse for
- 13:25six years. So we really got to talk about
- 13:28that and how she honed in her skills, her critical thinking
- 13:30skills, her confidence levels. But they hired her on into
- 13:34flight with less than one year of ER experience.
- 13:37And the reason why they did that is because this is the strategy
- 13:40that is working is making connections with companies and
- 13:44doing ride alongs and wanting and seeking out to be a part of
- 13:46their team and so that they can see that you are a good fit for
- 13:49theirs too. So that's an example of a way
- 13:52that's not linear. She didn't even have to wait
- 13:54three years. She didn't have any
- 13:55certification. She didn't work a level 1.
- 13:58She didn't even have one year of ER and they hired her.
- 14:01Another person that I want to talk about in the flight prep
- 14:04Academy, who I think he got hired and got an official flight
- 14:08opera. I think it's been about six
- 14:10months now and he actually came in and started to do a whole
- 14:16bunch of flight interviews and he started with one and he
- 14:21didn't get it. And so we evaluated and they
- 14:24came back and he ended up doing a total of 8 flight interviews
- 14:29before being selected. And what's crazy about the last
- 14:32one that he did is that he did that.
- 14:35The one that he got an offer for, he did that interview nine
- 14:38months prior to receiving an offer.
- 14:40So that's what I mean about how I'm seeing flight companies now
- 14:43pre select people in interviews before positions are open.
- 14:47So he did this eighth interview and then nine months later got
- 14:51called and asked for if he wanted to accept this offer and
- 14:55he did. The reason why he got this
- 14:59flight job was he was willing to continue to do them, evaluate
- 15:03and get back up. And what's interesting about
- 15:08this is that people ask me what are your chances of getting into
- 15:12flight? And I say 100%, if you want it
- 15:15and you're willing not to give up, it's 100%.
- 15:19But what people do is they're afraid of failing, so they don't
- 15:23even start. They're afraid of what other
- 15:25people are going to think, so they don't even start.
- 15:27Or they're afraid that they're going to be told no and that's
- 15:30going to mean that it wasn't meant for them.
- 15:32Or they're told no in one interview.
- 15:34Or they don't hear back from a flight company and they say, Oh
- 15:37no, it wasn't meant for me. But if you're willing to dig in,
- 15:40decide you want it, and never give up, it's 100% available for
- 15:44you to get there. I, when I used to do consults
- 15:48for the program, I don't do them anymore.
- 15:49But when I used to do them and invite people to a call to meet
- 15:52with me, I used to ask them, are you willing to do 9 interviews?
- 15:57If you knew that the 10th one they were going to hire you and
- 16:01if they were willing to say yes, then I knew that they had the
- 16:05grit, the resilience to really dig in and get to this goal.
- 16:09And I want to offer you the same thing.
- 16:11Everybody is capable of getting into flight nursing, but you
- 16:16have to be willing to not give up.
- 16:18You have to be willing to start, not be afraid to fail and
- 16:22continue to get back up. And so this, this particular
- 16:25client, it was not linear in getting into flight either, but
- 16:28he got it because he kept doing the interviews, evaluating with
- 16:32me and going back at it. And that's how he received an
- 16:36offer. And he's very happy at the
- 16:37company that he's working at currently.
- 16:39He's now in my all flight nurse and flight paramedic group.
- 16:43There is two other people in the flight prep Academy who got
- 16:47hired in the last several months.
- 16:49They actually didn't get they didn't apply for full time nurse
- 16:52flight nursing positions. I get asked all the time, do
- 16:54they have per diem positions? Do they have part time
- 16:56positions? And these two in particular were
- 16:58part time and per diem. So you can get hired as a flight
- 17:01nurse with those positions that aren't full time as well.
- 17:04But what what I'm seeing with a lot of flight companies too is
- 17:07these two people in particular interviewed for positions
- 17:12outside of their state. So 1 was travel position and 1
- 17:14was just like outside of the surrounding state and they loved
- 17:18them so much. What what people don't
- 17:20understand is for flight interviews, you are interviewing
- 17:23with people all over the United States.
- 17:25So it's not just in the base or the city or the state that
- 17:29you're having people on your panel interview.
- 17:31It's people in the flight company all over the United
- 17:33States. So I say don't don't think of
- 17:37you apply for a position you're only interviewing for that
- 17:39position. No, you apply for that position.
- 17:42You're interviewing for the whole company, for any position
- 17:46all over the United States because if they really like you,
- 17:48they're going to offer you multiple positions.
- 17:50And that's what happened with these two people.
- 17:53They applied for positions outside of their state.
- 17:56They did so well that both these companies came back and said,
- 17:59hey, actually we are going to have an opening next month in in
- 18:05a base that's closer to your home.
- 18:06Do you want it? And of course, both of them said
- 18:08yes. So I want to offer you that
- 18:11getting into flight nursing and flight paramedicine is not
- 18:14linear. It you have to allow for a
- 18:17little bit of magic and leave a little bit of room for things to
- 18:21happen and continue to evaluate, take action, fail, evaluate, get
- 18:28back up, take action and keep going.
- 18:31I really want to offer you to leave magic because they really
- 18:37want to get to know you and I really want to offer you that
- 18:41you have options. A lot of people go into wanting
- 18:45to get into flight thinking, Oh, I hope they pick me.
- 18:47But I really instill in you in my programs that you pick them.
- 18:52And that's really what these ride alongs are about is you
- 18:55giving yourself options and opportunities so that you can
- 18:58receive multiple offers with multiple companies.
- 19:02So I want to go back to taking one small action today with this
- 19:07strategy and this plan, and that's by securing a ride along
- 19:11today and making one connection today.
- 19:14I teach you how to immediately make connections with light
- 19:16companies so that you can secure a ride along, if not this week,
- 19:20by by the end of this month or in one month.
- 19:23And I just want to offer you to start today.
- 19:26And I know that that is the hardest part.
- 19:30Your brain is going to want to tell you that you need to go out
- 19:33there and you need to learn something else.
- 19:36So IE go out and get more certifications, more time and
- 19:41experience, get pre hospital, get your EMT, get your medic
- 19:44license, work in cardiac devices.
- 19:47But you don't need any of that. You just need three years ER or
- 19:52ICU. But it's going to be easier to
- 19:55buffer doing because as doers and overachievers, we think that
- 20:00doing and actioning our way there is going to give us more
- 20:03confidence. Now, you don't need to be 100%
- 20:06confident before going for this goal.
- 20:07In fact, in the seven years that I flew, I was still really
- 20:11nervous and have doubt on every call.
- 20:14And that is not a problem. I'm going to teach you how to
- 20:16have doubt and be nervous and how to not be 100% confident and
- 20:20still be successful towards this goal.
- 20:22But taking action is the key, pushing play and.
- 20:27Starting is the key, and you don't want to try to have
- 20:31everything figured out before. You want to be willing to fail
- 20:35and go at it and take action. Getting to flight will also
- 20:40require you to slow down. Take this minimal steps and the
- 20:45simple steps that I talked about and the strategy here today.
- 20:49If you hustle to get there, once you get there, you will continue
- 20:53to hustle and you will burn out. And that's why flight nurses
- 20:56have such a short half life because they hustle, hustle,
- 20:59hustle over work to get there. And then when they get there,
- 21:01they do the same thing and then they burn out.
- 21:03So I want to offer you take time, slow down.
- 21:07I'm going to show you how to do this in a simple, doable way and
- 21:11you're not going to want to take a bunch of actions.
- 21:14You're going to just want to take the simple strategic
- 21:17actions that I teach you. I also want to offer you get off
- 21:21the fence. I know some of you guys are
- 21:23watching and you're on and you're like, I don't know if I
- 21:27want to do this. I mean, I think I want flight,
- 21:30but I don't want to fail it. I don't want to tell people that
- 21:32I'm going to do it and then not get it.
- 21:34And the thing that's stopping you is your fear of failure.
- 21:37But this is the worst place that you can be as a doer and a go
- 21:41getter. The worst place that you can be
- 21:43right now is on the fence. So you want to get off the fence
- 21:48by starting out by taking one small action.
- 21:52Start today by deciding and committing to wanting this.
- 21:57And if you're ready for it, come join me in the Flight Prep
- 21:59Academy. I'm going to teach you how to
- 22:01make a connection today and how to get started.
- 22:04I promise you, once you get started, it's going to create
- 22:08this catalyst of oh, confidence, OK, I got started on this, now I
- 22:12can do this. Now I'm going to evaluate this
- 22:15is working and then keep on going.
- 22:17Getting started is the hardest part, so taking the small action
- 22:20and beginning today is the key. Start also today by taking
- 22:24yourself seriously, Make the decision quickly and taking the
- 22:29action even though you have doubt.
- 22:32Decide who you want to become. Getting into flight was not
- 22:37about oh I got to flight and now this is like this greatest thing
- 22:40ever for me. No, it was about the person that
- 22:42I became getting there and about the person I became while I was
- 22:46a flight nurse. And so decide that it's possible
- 22:50for you and, and the way that you can work towards this right
- 22:54now is what would you be like as a flight nurse?
- 22:58That's what you want to start thinking about.
- 23:00What does he or she think about themselves?
- 23:04How does she carry herself? How does she make decisions?
- 23:08How does she treat critical patients?
- 23:10How is she under pressure? You want to start thinking about
- 23:13yourself as a flight nurse now, and the key to getting to her
- 23:17and becoming her is become her. Now try to switch into that
- 23:22identity of becoming her. Now try her on again.
- 23:26Why don't see a lot of people getting started is fear of
- 23:28failure. Maybe it's fear of failure for
- 23:30themselves or fear of telling people and then failing.
- 23:34But whether or not you fail, that's not the purpose of
- 23:37getting into flight. It's about the person that you
- 23:40become, and I want to offer you, if you want flight, you will not
- 23:45fail at it. You will fail at it lots of
- 23:47times. You might fail at it lots of
- 23:49times, but you're going to eventually get there.
- 23:51If you really want it, you're going to always figure it out.
- 23:54And when I got to flight, it wasn't about getting there.
- 23:57It was it was about the person that I became, the resilience,
- 24:01the flexibility, the being willing to fail and get back up.
- 24:05That was the person that I became in getting there and
- 24:08becoming a flight nurse for the last seven years.
- 24:12It was who I became in the successes and the failures in
- 24:15the calls that went well and the calls that didn't go well.
- 24:18And I I can look back and I know you guys can think too for
- 24:23yourselves, including nursing school.
- 24:26There's nothing that I have full out done and said that I wanted
- 24:32and went for fully out and said, oh, I wish I didn't go fully out
- 24:35for it. But we're so scared of
- 24:38committing to do that. But once we do, we're a
- 24:42different person after that. And so I want to offer you, if
- 24:45you know you want flight, don't do it for other people, don't do
- 24:49it for your family, don't do it for your friends.
- 24:51Do it for you because the effort of getting there is solely for
- 24:56you. It's being able to look yourself
- 24:58in the mirror and say, hey, I really challenged myself today
- 25:02to do this hard thing. And I'm so proud of the person
- 25:05that I've become. And for me, that's also, I need
- 25:11to be able to look myself in the mirror and I need to be able to
- 25:13lay my head on the pillow at night and think, I went all out
- 25:16and I tried this and did my very best.
- 25:19And I know I can't live with myself if I don't do that.
- 25:23So I want to offer you guys the same thing.
- 25:26Get to flight nursing and push play because of you.
- 25:28Challenge yourself to do the hard thing so that when you look
- 25:31at yourself in the mirror at night, you're like, oh, this was
- 25:34really hard, but I'm really, I'm doing it.
- 25:37I promise you that holding yourself back feels way more
- 25:41awful. The fear of failures.
- 25:44What what has people not going for flight but not going for it?
- 25:48Listening to the what if, listening to that low hum in
- 25:52your head, I don't know about you guys, but if I really want
- 25:54something and I don't do it, I will continue to hear this low
- 25:58hum in my mind of what if, what if, what if, what if.
- 26:00And that is more awful than the feeling of just going for it.
- 26:05And what I mean by that is if I don't go for it, if I don't
- 26:11challenge myself. And if I wonder what if that
- 26:14thought and that little voice in my head feels so much more awful
- 26:18than just putting everything in, going for it and possibly
- 26:21failing and having to get back up.
- 26:23So I, I want to offer you this feeling of accomplishment and
- 26:27going for it, but not in a hustly way, but in a way that's
- 26:30motivated and challenges yourself.
- 26:33OK, This is one thing that I really want to, if you can take
- 26:37one thing away from getting started that I really want to
- 26:40offer you guys. People always are thinking about
- 26:45the bad things that could happen if they go for it.
- 26:48What I commonly hear is I don't know if I'm going to like the
- 26:51hours. I might fail.
- 26:52What if I tell people and I don't get it?
- 26:55What if I have to give up my perfect schedule?
- 26:57I'm not working weekends or holidays.
- 26:59And then they always are thinking about the good things
- 27:02about staying still. They're like, oh, it's going to
- 27:04feel much better if I just like focus on my family, focus on my
- 27:08kids, focus on my job if I don't challenge myself right now.
- 27:13So they're always worried about the bad things that could happen
- 27:16if they go for it and how they think they're going to feel good
- 27:19for not going for it. But what they're not thinking
- 27:22about are all the good things that they could have if they for
- 27:25it, like having the vast amount of autonomy that flight nurse
- 27:30has. That was the best part of the
- 27:31job, working with the most elite team.
- 27:34I got all my time back working 24 hour shifts.
- 27:37I only work 7 to 8 shifts a month and I had five days off in
- 27:41a row. I felt like I won the lottery.
- 27:43You get. I doubled my pay.
- 27:45I was able to do more community service, outreach events.
- 27:50Companies, like companies are really into community service.
- 27:53You did one to two of those a week just with your crew.
- 27:56You had a vast level of a skill set, your skill set crew.
- 27:59You could do intubations and chest tubes and surgical crikes
- 28:03and learning that new skill set was so fun.
- 28:07The biggest thing, the benefit of being a flight nurse is you
- 28:10get off shifts and you feel so purposeful and I know you're
- 28:14really tired sometimes. I'm not going to say that it's
- 28:16always just like glory and feels great.
- 28:20You are tired sometimes, but to get off a shift knowing that
- 28:24this is what you're meant to do, feel purposeful, working with
- 28:27the most elite teams and living your dream.
- 28:30That was what that job was about.
- 28:32So people are not thinking about all the good things that you're
- 28:35going to get into flight, and they're not thinking about all
- 28:39the bad things if they don't go for it.
- 28:42Bad things meaning regret, a constant fire that keep burning
- 28:46in you of what if you might forget about it for a couple
- 28:49months, but then you're going to find my page again or you're
- 28:51going to come back or the flight crew is going to come in and
- 28:54you're going to be like, I wanted to do that.
- 28:55What if that low hum of not really being challenged, of
- 28:59staying still, staying in a job where you feel stuck and
- 29:03unfulfilled? You don't know how many times I
- 29:06hear that from people who want to do flight.
- 29:07Well, I'm feeling really stuck and unfulfilled again in my job.
- 29:12No, that feeling is much worse than challenge yourself and
- 29:15going for it and being willing to fail.
- 29:17So I wanna repeat this again 'cause this is the thing I want
- 29:19you guys to take away. People think about all the bad
- 29:23things that could happen before they go to, if they go for
- 29:26flight and how good it's gonna feel to stay still.
- 29:29But they're not thinking about all the good things of being a
- 29:32flight nurse and that and hitting that goal and all the
- 29:36bad things and how it's going to feel if you don't go for it.
- 29:39And so I want to offer you, if you know it's going to be
- 29:43challenging either way, why not choose the challenge that's
- 29:47going to get you to your goal that you want.
- 29:51And so I hope that that motivated you guys to get
- 29:55started. And it's harder, I just wanted
- 29:59to also tell you it's harder to not get started to go after your
- 30:02dreams than it is to not go after them.
- 30:06So again, it's harder to not get started than to just go after
- 30:10them and do them. It's harder to be at your job
- 30:14thinking, I wish I was doing this and feeling stuck and
- 30:17feeling unfulfilled and feeling crappy anyway than to just go
- 30:21after it. So I just want to offer you
- 30:24guys, take action today, grow your identity today, shift your
- 30:30energy and taking one small action today.
- 30:33Come and join me. If you don't know how to get
- 30:36started and you don't know how to make that one small action.
- 30:38I in my program, I'm giving you the five step process, the
- 30:42simple process of winning strategy of getting into flight.
- 30:45I'm going to teach you how to grow yourself concept and your
- 30:48confidence to get to flight. We're going to map out your
- 30:50plan. No matter where you're starting.
- 30:51I'm going to teach you immediately how to start doing
- 30:54ride alongs, making connections with flight companies today, how
- 30:58to get your resume flight ready or critical care ready, and how
- 31:01to prep confidently for flight interviews.
- 31:03I teach you all of this inside. But again, it's really important
- 31:08to just get started and take one small action.
- 31:10Make one connection with a flight company today.
- 31:13Get one ride along scheduled this month.
- 31:16Connections are what is key to getting hired in flight.
- 31:21Connections is what get you flight suit.
- 31:23Connections is what will get you invited to monthly trainings.
- 31:26Connections is what will get you an invitation for a seat on that
- 31:32team 6 to 18 months prior to when there is an opening.
- 31:35You want to make one connection, you want to take action, you
- 31:38want to evaluate that action, and you want to keep going and
- 31:41the momentum will continue to build after your first action.
- 31:45I support you all the way in making these decisions and
- 31:48failing and getting back up. This is really pivotal to be
- 31:52supported by someone who has been there and to also be
- 31:54supported by others who are going through the same process.
- 31:57When I was a nurse and when I was trying to get in a flight, I
- 32:00didn't have anybody in my family who was a nurse or even knew
- 32:03about flight nursing. So I had to rely on me just
- 32:07figuring out on my own. And now I've created a plan
- 32:09that's helped dozens of people get hired in flight.
- 32:12And this is the program that flight companies are picking
- 32:16from. This is the program where flight
- 32:18companies are hearing more about this program and the people that
- 32:22are prepared. And my clients are making an
- 32:25easier transition after getting an offer also in flight.
- 32:29I know you guys are just thinking about getting hired.
- 32:31I'm thinking about how do I prepare you so that you're the
- 32:33most confident after you get an offer.
- 32:36And I have noticed that my clients who have joined the
- 32:39Flight Prep Academy, did the preparation, received an offer,
- 32:42are clearing orientation that much quicker because because
- 32:45they are confident in doing it. I believe in this so much
- 32:49because I see the value of stepping into a job that you are
- 32:53meant to be doing. Nothing feels worse than
- 32:56clocking in and out of a job day in and day out, where you feel
- 33:00unfulfilled and you feel stuck. The best feeling ever is to go
- 33:04in every day stepping into a job where you feel accomplished and
- 33:08you're proud of both getting there and being there and
- 33:12working with the most elite teams.
- 33:14My favorite part of being a flighteners and the thing that I
- 33:16miss the most is the teamwork and the teams.
- 33:20Working with the people who are the best of the best and who
- 33:23want to be there and who have challenged themselves to get to
- 33:26that role is such a fun thing to be a part of.
- 33:31Not. And I didn't get in a flight
- 33:32because I was the most confident or the smartest or the
- 33:35strongest. I definitely am not those
- 33:37things. But I got there because I
- 33:40committed to this goal. I wasn't willing to give up and
- 33:43I kept going and I started taking action to what I really
- 33:46wanted to do. I want to talk to you guys now
- 33:50about the Flight Prep Academy and if you were on the fence of
- 33:53joining, I want to tell you everything that is included in
- 33:55it. In the Flight Prep Academy, we
- 33:58really, I combine the winning strategy of getting to flight
- 34:01with the mindset piece as a coach.
- 34:03I've been certified as a life coach.
- 34:05As a coach, I really just want to coach healthcare workers and
- 34:08specifically nurses and paramedics that want to get into
- 34:10flight because I think this industry needs this coaching
- 34:14mindset piece. This is mental health Awareness
- 34:17month, you guys, and you guys know who work in healthcare that
- 34:21the mental health piece is a huge part of it.
- 34:23And So what I really teach you and focus on in the Flight Prep
- 34:26Academy is not only the winning strategy of getting to flight,
- 34:29but the mindset piece. So we really talk about the
- 34:31mindset required to get to this goal to be successful, how to
- 34:34face obstacles, how to have doubts, how to be nervous, how
- 34:37to deal with imposter syndrome and learn to through work
- 34:41through those and still confidently take action.
- 34:44We talk about continuously how to grow your confidence towards
- 34:47this goal while having doubt. I teach you the step by step
- 34:50process of getting there which includes mapping out your plan,
- 34:53learning how to do ride alongs, make connections with flight
- 34:55companies, getting your resume flight ready and critical care
- 34:58ready, how exactly to prepare for your ride along days and
- 35:02then also how to prepare competently for flight
- 35:04interviews. Knowing how to directly ask for
- 35:08ride alongs and how to secure one quickly and effectively is
- 35:11what I teach you how to do in the Flight Prep Academy.
- 35:14You are also going to get but access to weekly calls.
- 35:17This is really important because as you're learning the strategy,
- 35:21you also want to integrate. And so as you guys know, in a
- 35:24week's time a lot comes up. So this weekly group call that
- 35:27we have integrates everything that you're learning inside of
- 35:30the program and helps you bring you back to your plan every week
- 35:33so that you can work through complications, failures,
- 35:37overwhelm, obstacles that you're facing on a weekly basis.
- 35:40So we have a group call that meets every Tuesday.
- 35:42It's best to come live, but everybody in the group
- 35:45workshifting, so they can't make it live to every call.
- 35:47And that's okay because each of the calls is gonna be recorded
- 35:50and you can watch it as a replay going back to the last year of
- 35:54replays as much as you want. So weekly calls every Tuesday
- 35:58are combined in the program for integration and to help you
- 36:00overcome any obstacles that you're facing.
- 36:03The last thing that you're going to really get in this group is a
- 36:06community group chat. I really think being a part of a
- 36:09community is key. Both getting ongoing support
- 36:12from me, mentors and other people who are going through the
- 36:15same process so that you can lean on them and you can realize
- 36:17you're not alone. You can tap into this group
- 36:2024/7, which is really important as you're facing trials or as
- 36:24you're having questions or as you're trying to make decisions
- 36:27the whole way. Having a community of people
- 36:29that are going to support you as you're going through it and you
- 36:31can tap into that as you're working your planning, facing
- 36:34obstacles. You will get all of these things
- 36:36for a lifetime access into this program for $2000.
- 36:41I have made this program purposefully a lifetime access
- 36:44because I want you to join me as soon as you know you want
- 36:46flight. So again, some people that's as
- 36:48soon as nursing school or pre nursing school or after you're
- 36:51in EMT or going to EMT school. Lifetime access and membership
- 36:55is because I want to support you all the way to flight no matter
- 36:58how long it takes. You get all of these courses,
- 37:01the weekly coaching, the community group chat for $2000.
- 37:05I have a pay in full option for 2000 and I have a four monthly
- 37:09payment plan of 500 as well if you want to utilize that and
- 37:13you're not able to pay in full. I never ever want the cost to be
- 37:18the reason why you can't get this help and join the program.
- 37:21So definitely reach out to me if either one of those payment
- 37:23options does not work for you. You can comment flight now in
