- 1:30after the show is over.
- 1:33All right, guys, let's get into this show.
- 1:37All right.
- 1:39Your words are worthless without action.
- 1:43Series 5, show 43, episode 7, Friday as
- 1:47we're going to conclude this whole master topic
- 1:49this week.
- 1:50Welcome, everyone, to the ever-popular inspirations for
- 1:53your life show.
- 1:54I'm John C.
- 1:55Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 2:02podcast host, coach, professional keynote speaker, a graduate
- 2:06student at Montclair State University, a passionate lifelong
- 2:09learner, and now so grateful to be, yes,
- 2:12a published author.
- 2:14Welcome, everyone.
- 2:14So let me ask you something, okay?
- 2:17Have you ever met someone who made big
- 2:19promises but never actually followed through on them?
- 2:23Maybe you have.
- 2:24Maybe you haven't.
- 2:26I don't know.
- 2:26But I think that's an important thing to
- 2:28realize and be cognizant of.
- 2:31So they talked about honesty, loyalty, respect, and
- 2:36responsibility.
- 2:37They knew exactly what to say, but when
- 2:39it came time to act, everything changed.
- 2:42It's like they talked a great show, but
- 2:45they did nothing.
- 2:46You've had people like that.
- 2:48Now here's the uncomfortable question.
- 2:51Have you ever done the same thing yourself?
- 2:54It's easy to talk about what matters and
- 2:56have a big game.
- 2:57It's much harder to demonstrate those values when
- 3:00the choice becomes inconvenient.
- 3:02For example, writing a book, okay?
- 3:04And so writing a book, you can talk
- 3:06a big game about writing a book, but
- 3:08do you actually write the book or do
- 3:11you just talk about it for five or
- 3:1210 years, okay?
- 3:13So our weekly series is Stop Giving Your
- 3:15Power Away, Take Back Control of Your Life.
- 3:19We've spent six days already building the foundation.
- 3:22Today, Friday, we're bringing everything full circle together
- 3:26with our final theme.
- 3:27You ready?
- 3:28Live With Integrity.
- 3:30So let's explore 30 powerful ways to make
- 3:33sure your actions support your words.
- 3:36Number one, understand that integrity begins when your
- 3:40actions reflect your values.
- 3:42That's your core values.
- 3:44Your beliefs become meaningful when they guide your
- 3:47decisions.
- 3:47Ask whether your behavior supports what your claim
- 3:52is, and that matters.
- 3:56Number two, stop making commitments that your behavior
- 4:00does not support.
- 4:01A promise without a realistic plan can damage
- 4:04trust.
- 4:06Commit thoughtfully and follow through consistently.
- 4:10Yes, follow through consistently.
- 4:12It's okay to talk a big game, but
- 4:15if you don't ever actually do anything, well,
- 4:19you're going to really ruin your reputation.
- 4:22Number three, recognize the difference between appearing trustworthy
- 4:26and being trustworthy.
- 4:28So a polished image can create an impression.
- 4:31Reliability is demonstrated through honest, repeated behavior.
- 4:34For example, people that talk a big game
- 4:37or that always have to brag about things
- 4:40probably don't have anything really to brag about.
- 4:43They're just, you know, sharing things that maybe
- 4:46are true.
- 4:46Maybe they're not, but that's like their whole
- 4:49life.
- 4:49They have nothing else.
- 4:50And I feel sorry for these people because
- 4:52that's like what makes them feel important.
- 4:56But your things are not what make you
- 4:58feel important.
- 4:59They're part of your life, but they're not
- 5:00everything.
- 5:01And people that do that, I feel so
- 5:03sorry for because they're really missing out on
- 5:05life.
- 5:06Number four, guys, learn to keep promises even
- 5:09when nobody is watching.
- 5:11Integrity isn't a performance for an audience.
- 5:14Your private choices matter just as much as
- 5:17your public reputation.
- 5:18So what you build in private is actually
- 5:21your character, okay?
- 5:24Your character then actually drifts into what people
- 5:29see in the world.
- 5:29And that is your reputation.
- 5:31We call it your public reputation.
- 5:33Number five, stop changing your principles simply to
- 5:37gain approval.
- 5:38Respect other viewpoints, but don't abandon your values
- 5:41whenever someone disagrees.
- 5:44Character requires a stable foundation.
- 5:47And it's your character that cements a true
- 5:51reliable reputation.
- 5:52Remember, character is built in private.
- 5:57Your reputation is what happens in public.
- 6:00But it comes because of how you built
- 6:04your character in private.
- 6:06Number six, recognize when convenience is competing with
- 6:10your core values.
- 6:11The easiest option isn't always the right one,
- 6:14guys.
- 6:15Consider what your decision says about your own
- 6:18core priorities and values.
- 6:20Number seven, understand that honesty includes acknowledging uncomfortable
- 6:24truths.
- 6:25It happens.
- 6:26Sometimes the truth is difficult to admit.
- 6:29Facing it responsibly creates opportunities for genuine improvement.
- 6:32I'll give you an example.
- 6:33So you guys may have known if you've
- 6:35been following me this week.
- 6:36It was my uncle's funeral.
- 6:39And that's my mom's brother.
- 6:42And so we had some uncomfortable truths that
- 6:45happened.
- 6:46We haven't spoken 25 years.
- 6:49There were a few people in the family
- 6:51that were nice.
- 6:52But a lot of the other people were
- 6:55just kind of like, I don't know, with
- 6:58their nose in the air.
- 6:59Like playing this, like, you know, we're better
- 7:02than mighty kind of attitude.
- 7:05And the thing is, the truth is difficult
- 7:09to admit.
- 7:10I remember my mom saying to one of
- 7:14my cousins that, you know, your family's not
- 7:17really very nice to us.
- 7:18There are a few people that are nice,
- 7:19but your whole family is really not very
- 7:21nice.
- 7:22And my cousin's like, you know, okay, because
- 7:25my mom's at least, he's like, okay, Talisa,
- 7:27we'll have to talk about it.
- 7:28My mom's like, no, there's nothing to talk
- 7:30about.
- 7:31He's like, okay, Talisa, no problem.
- 7:34And facing it responsibly creates opportunities for genuine
- 7:38improvement.
- 7:39In fact, we later learned that they didn't
- 7:42even want us to be there.
- 7:45We learned through a cousin that my uncle
- 7:49was dying.
- 7:50And I went to go see him this
- 7:51past Sunday when this was supposed to be
- 7:53my break week.
- 7:54And then my parents came up basically.
- 7:57So that was last week.
- 7:58I went to go see him Sunday.
- 8:00And then they came up this Saturday and
- 8:02they're staying till this Saturday.
- 8:05So, you know, that was a challenge.
- 8:07We haven't talked to that part of the
- 8:09family in 25 years.
- 8:11Facing responsibly creates opportunities for genuine improvement.
- 8:14And I remember my aunt saying, you know,
- 8:17I had a conversation with my aunt because
- 8:18she called me back after I called her.
- 8:20And we were on the phone for like
- 8:2153 minutes.
- 8:22She's like, John, she's like, I hope that
- 8:24we can pick up some of the pieces
- 8:25and start over.
- 8:26You know, I like that too.
- 8:28But is it genuine?
- 8:29You don't know.
- 8:31Somebody could say that and mean it.
- 8:33But I guess over time is what happens.
- 8:37If we don't hear from them anymore, then
- 8:39we know that was just something that happened
- 8:41now because they're grieving.
- 8:43But only time will tell the truth on
- 8:45that, guys.
- 8:46Number eight, stop expecting credibility without consistent behavior.
- 8:49Trust develops when people see dependable actions over
- 8:53time.
- 8:53Your reputation cannot survive on promises alone.
- 8:57If you think it will, well, you're going
- 8:58to be highly disappointed.
- 9:03Okay.
- 9:03Number nine, recognize the importance of treating people
- 9:07fairly regardless of status.
- 9:09Respect shouldn't depend on someone's job title, wealth,
- 9:14or even the influence they have.
- 9:16Character appears in everyday interactions.
- 9:17And I said it's the character that usually
- 9:19shows up privately that turns into stellar reputation.
- 9:24Number 10, learn to make responsible decisions when
- 9:28easier options are tempting.
- 9:31Shortcuts can carry hidden consequences, guys.
- 9:34Yes, they can.
- 9:35Think beyond the immediate convenience and consider what
- 9:38is right.
- 9:39Okay.
- 9:40That's your choice.
- 9:41Number 11.
- 9:44Before I get number 11, I want to
- 9:46share one thing.
- 9:46There was another person that is related in
- 9:49our family.
- 9:51I remember the person shaking my hand and
- 9:54I'm saying my condolences to him.
- 9:58When we got there, it was like this
- 10:02nice to see you and all this.
- 10:04But then what happened is the air of
- 10:08the person's ways really showed.
- 10:11So that facade of like, you know, it's
- 10:13nice to see you, that was like a
- 10:16face.
- 10:17It wasn't the truth because as we left
- 10:19different events like even the funeral, we left
- 10:24the cemetery, we left the repass, there was
- 10:28no attempt to even come out and talk
- 10:30to us.
- 10:31Number 11, stop allowing the short-term rewards
- 10:34to compromise a long-term trust.
- 10:36Many people do this and they are regretful
- 10:39for it their whole life.
- 10:40A temporary advantage may not be work damaging
- 10:44a relationship or reputation you spent years to
- 10:47build, right?
- 10:48You don't want to damage that.
- 10:50Number 12.
- 10:51Recognize when your actions contradict your stated priorities.
- 10:56If you're claiming something matters, repeatedly neglecting it,
- 11:02examine what needs to change.
- 11:03So if you're speaking out of your mouth
- 11:04on this side, but then you're actually doing
- 11:06nothing on this side, we can call that
- 11:10two-faced, we can call that lack of
- 11:12accountability, we can call it a lot of
- 11:13things.
- 11:14But one thing we can call it is
- 11:15a poor reputation.
- 11:19Number 13.
- 11:20Understand that personal integrity requires ongoing self-reflection.
- 11:24Ask yourself whether your choices align with your
- 11:27principles, your core values.
- 11:28Honest reflection helps reveal opportunities for growth.
- 11:33It's not about making yourself seem better than
- 11:35others.
- 11:36Number 14.
- 11:38Stop making excuses for behavior you know needs
- 11:41improvement.
- 11:43Explanations can provide context, but they shouldn't become
- 11:46permission to repeat avoidable mistakes.
- 11:49I think a lot of people do this
- 11:51in various types of relationships because they think
- 11:54if they do this, they're going to like,
- 11:56I don't know, earn brownie points, which I
- 11:58think is like ridiculous.
- 12:00So we have to understand what that really
- 12:03means, right?
- 12:05We have to see what that really means.
- 12:08And it's important to know that.
- 12:11So learn to admit mistakes and make meaningful
- 12:14corrections.
- 12:16An apology is valuable, but corrective action demonstrates
- 12:20that you've learned something important.
- 12:24Now, whether somebody else chooses to go that
- 12:26way, again, that's up to them, but it's
- 12:29your choice also whether you want to stay
- 12:30around them or whether you want to say
- 12:33sayonara.
- 12:34Generally, when somebody's words don't match their actions
- 12:41after a while, you know what happens?
- 12:44We usually say goodbye.
- 12:49I think that's an important thing.
- 12:51And we're not doing it to be nasty,
- 12:54okay?
- 12:54We're not doing it to be nasty, but
- 12:55I think that's a very important thing.
- 12:58So number 17.
- 12:59Stop confusing strong opinions with strong character, okay?
- 13:03I know that can be for a lot
- 13:04of people.
- 13:05Speaking loudly doesn't make someone right.
- 13:08Character is demonstrated through fairness, honesty, and responsibility.
- 13:11Just because I yell at somebody, right?
- 13:12If somebody yells, it may get somebody's attention
- 13:15immediately.
- 13:16Like if there's a fire or something, you
- 13:17say, hey, and you get their attention.
- 13:19But then after you realize they're talking for
- 13:20me, it's like, what are these people even
- 13:21saying?
- 13:22Like, why am I paying attention to this
- 13:24person, right?
- 13:25Number 18.
- 13:26Recognize that respectful disagreement can coexist with true
- 13:30integrity.
- 13:31You can stand firmly behind your values while
- 13:33listening thoughtfully and treating others with dignity.
- 13:36I like to say something really important.
- 13:37And that is, I want to agree to
- 13:41disagree with you.
- 13:42Like, huh?
- 13:43Basically what it's saying is, I'm pretty much
- 13:46agreeing that I hear what you're saying.
- 13:50But I'm also not, I'm honestly not in
- 13:57agreement with how you're doing it.
- 13:58So I'm in agreement with what you're telling
- 14:00me.
- 14:01That I agree it's what you're telling me
- 14:02and I acknowledge it.
- 14:04But it also means that I don't particularly
- 14:07believe in that direction.
- 14:09Number 18, guys.
- 14:11Recognize that respectful disagreement can coexist with integrity.
- 14:14So you can stand firmly behind your values
- 14:17while listening thoughtfully and treating others with dignity.
- 14:20I think that's the main thing, treating people
- 14:22with dignity.
- 14:23Dignity is not a game.
- 14:25Dignity is not something you do because you
- 14:26want to get in the limelight.
- 14:28Dignity is something you do because of your
- 14:30character you're building and it flows through to
- 14:33your reputation.
- 14:34That's how your reputation is built.
- 14:35Number 19, understand why consistency matters more than
- 14:40public recognition.
- 14:41Doing the right thing without applause, it reveals
- 14:43genuine commitment, okay?
- 14:46Integrity doesn't require an audience.
- 14:48If you think it does, then I would
- 14:49go back and rethink that.
- 14:51Number 20, stop allowing external pressure to determine
- 14:55your personal standards.
- 14:57Other people's expectations can influence you.
- 14:59But your principles should guide your decisions, not
- 15:04other people.
- 15:05And don't allow their manipulations to get you
- 15:07to change your path.
- 15:09To say, oh, you know, I don't want
- 15:11to have conflict.
- 15:14Okay, I get you don't have conflict.
- 15:16But that also means that you're going to
- 15:18bow down to everybody and that you're never
- 15:20going to do what you need to do.
- 15:22So you should, even though you want to
- 15:24avoid conflict, you should still stand up and
- 15:26say, wait a minute.
- 15:26I hear what you're saying, and I frankly
- 15:30can't support that.
- 15:32Or I think there's another way.
- 15:35Number 21, recognize the importance of honoring reasonable
- 15:39boundaries.
- 15:40We talked about this early in the week.
- 15:42Respect the limits, others communicate.
- 15:45And practice your own mutual respect as it
- 15:48strengthens healthy relationships.
- 15:50Now this doesn't do this overnight.
- 15:52So let me just tell you, it's not
- 15:53like, you know, you're going to pop something
- 15:55in, bam, it works.
- 15:56It's not like a program.
- 15:57This is something that you have to build
- 15:59over time.
- 16:00When people see that you are genuine, that's
- 16:03when they say, wait a minute.
- 16:04That's somebody I want to be with.
- 16:06That's somebody I want to communicate with.
- 16:07That's a friend that I want to have,
- 16:09right?
- 16:10Number 22, please learn to make choices your
- 16:14future self can respect.
- 16:17Before acting, consider whether you'll be comfortable explaining
- 16:20your decision tomorrow, next month, or years from
- 16:23now.
- 16:23I think that's something a lot of people
- 16:25think, well, you know, I don't have to
- 16:26worry about that.
- 16:26But actually you do.
- 16:27You need to worry about how you're treating
- 16:29people.
- 16:31Not because you're trying to get something out
- 16:33of them, but because you want to keep
- 16:35your reputation intact.
- 16:37I would think you do, right?
- 16:39I would think you want to do that.
- 16:41Number 23, I ask you to stop measuring
- 16:44character solely through the achievement or only the
- 16:47possessions that you have.
- 16:49Success and status don't automatically demonstrate integrity.
- 16:52Nothing wrong with possessions.
- 16:53Nothing wrong with having material things.
- 16:56But don't make them the heart of your
- 16:58life, okay?
- 16:59Demonstrate integrity.
- 17:01Look at how people behave and treat others
- 17:04that way.
- 17:05You know, at the event that happened the
- 17:08other day, I have to tell you, I
- 17:10could feel a falseness.
- 17:14I could sense a phoniness.
- 17:19And it wasn't something I was going to
- 17:21try to defend or something that I was
- 17:23going to try to ask about.
- 17:25It was just something I acknowledged.
- 17:26And I said, you know what?
- 17:28This is how they want to be.
- 17:30That's fine.
- 17:31But that's not how I am.
- 17:33And so there were a few people that
- 17:35were nice.
- 17:35Like, you know, my two cousins were nice
- 17:37to me.
- 17:37My aunt was nice to me.
- 17:39And there was even a stranger that was
- 17:40nice to us.
- 17:42My aunt's sister and husband.
- 17:49So they were nice to me.
- 17:51And even my one cousin's mother-in-law
- 17:57was extremely nice to us.
- 18:00So I think that was really, really cool.
- 18:02Number 25, understand that integrity includes compassion and
- 18:07responsibility.
- 18:08Honesty shouldn't become an excuse for cruelty.
- 18:12No, guys, never.
- 18:15Treat people thoughtfully while remaining accountable for your
- 18:19own actions.
- 18:21Not because you're trying to win.
- 18:23Not because you're trying to prove that you're
- 18:25better than anybody.
- 18:26No, because you want to do what's right.
- 18:31When people see you want to do what's
- 18:33right, guess what happens?
- 18:34They suddenly are like, wait a minute.
- 18:37I get it now.
- 18:38I understand.
- 18:41I understand why you're doing this.
- 18:43And it's not because you're trying to get
- 18:45praise.
- 18:45You're just being who you are, all right?
- 18:48And when you can be who you are,
- 18:49I think that's the most important thing I
- 18:52can tell you.
- 18:53You're not being who you are because you
- 18:55want to impress somebody.
- 18:56You're being who you are because that's your
- 19:00makeup.
- 19:01That is your character.
- 19:03I said that your character that's developed in
- 19:05private will eventually filter through or roll through
- 19:10or flow through to your reputation, good or
- 19:13bad.
- 19:14And so when we think about maybe I
- 19:18don't want to be that way, ask yourself,
- 19:20how do I treat myself when I'm alone?
- 19:23That will flow through in public.
- 19:26That is a given.
- 19:28And people say, well, gee, if I could
- 19:29be this one way when I'm alone, another
- 19:31way.
- 19:31No, it doesn't work that way.
- 19:33You don't have two places, guys.
- 19:35You are one way.
- 19:37And that's why you can't suddenly change your
- 19:42character and your reputation.
- 19:43If your character is lousy, your reputation is
- 19:46going to be bad.
- 19:47If you have good character, then your reputation
- 19:50is going to be good.
- 19:51It's a kind of thing that goes together.
- 19:53But a lot of people just don't understand
- 19:55why that happens.
- 19:57And the reason it happens is because if
- 19:59people see that you respect, love, and trust
- 20:02yourself and you treat yourself well, they're like,
- 20:06well, wait a minute.
- 20:07That person will probably treat me well because
- 20:09they're treating themselves well.
- 20:11You might have heard the golden rule, treat
- 20:13others the way you want to be treated.
- 20:15So if you treat yourself the way you
- 20:17want to be treated, others should treat you
- 20:19that same way.
- 20:20That's important.
- 20:22Number 26, please stop expecting personal growth to
- 20:25happen without daily practice.
- 20:28Again, it's not a program you run once
- 20:30and say, okay, I got it.
- 20:31No, it's not like that.
- 20:33Character develops through repeated choices.
- 20:36Now, character comes in your own personal world.
- 20:40The world that nobody else sees.
- 20:43And it's those choices and actions that you
- 20:45take that filter into your public world because
- 20:48that's what builds your reputation.
- 20:51You don't like your reputation, change your personal
- 20:54world.
- 20:55It will eventually flow through.
- 20:57So that's important.
- 20:59Character develops through repeated choices.
- 21:02Small actions can strengthen habits that will last.
- 21:06Number 27, recognize how your behavior influences the
- 21:11people around you that's surrounding you.
- 21:14Others notice whether you follow through, communicate honestly,
- 21:18and treat people fairly.
- 21:20Lead through example.
- 21:22Let's say, for example, I'll give an example.
- 21:24So I'm an Eagle Scout.
- 21:25Let's say when I was going on a
- 21:26trip and we had patrol leaders that were
- 21:30basically never following through with what they said.
- 21:33I'm like, I don't want to be in
- 21:34their patrol anymore.
- 21:35They never did what they say they're going
- 21:37to be.
- 21:37Why would I want to be there?
- 21:39So you have to pay attention to your
- 21:42behavior because when you do that, you're like,
- 21:45wait a minute.
- 21:46I really have got to be more cognizant
- 21:48about how I'm acting.
- 21:50Number 28, guys, review the six lessons that
- 21:54prepare you for today's commitment.
- 21:57Ownership, self-worth, clear thinking, priorities, responsibility, and
- 22:04boundaries all support living with integrity.
- 22:06Let me say that again.
- 22:08That is ownership, self-worth, clear thinking, priorities,
- 22:16responsibility, and boundaries which all support living with
- 22:21integrity.
- 22:22Number 29, choose one value you will demonstrate
- 22:26through consistent action.
- 22:27Maybe it's honesty, reliability, kindness, fairness, compassion.
- 22:33Identify a specific behavior that reflects it.
- 22:37Number 30, live with integrity because your actions
- 22:41reveal what you truly resonate with, what matters
- 22:45to you.
- 22:46Not because you have to, but because you
- 22:48want to.
- 22:49Words can express your intentions, but consistent choices
- 22:53demonstrate your commitment through the actions you take.
- 22:56You tell somebody you're going to do this,
- 22:57but then you never show up.
- 22:58You ever had a friend and they're supposed
- 23:01to help you out, but then they never
- 23:03are available, right?
- 23:05That's somebody you start to stop losing trust
- 23:12because they never do what they say.
- 23:14Now, ladies and gentlemen, here is your Friday
- 23:16challenge.
- 23:17You know I give you a challenge every
- 23:18day.
- 23:18Choose one personal value you want to demonstrate
- 23:22more consistently in your life.
- 23:24Maybe you value honesty.
- 23:27Maybe it's integrity.
- 23:28Maybe it's compassion, okay?
- 23:31Maybe it's kindness.
- 23:34Maybe it's listening, right?
- 23:37Maybe it's understanding.
- 23:39Commit to communicating truthfully even when it's uncomfortable.
- 23:43Remember I said to you guys, success lies
- 23:45and breeds where it becomes uncomfortable.
- 23:48Not painful, just uncomfortable.
- 23:50Maybe you value reliability.
- 23:53Follow through on one promise you made.
- 23:55Maybe you value respect.
- 23:58Show it through how you treat someone who
- 24:01disagrees with you.
- 24:02Remember, what we say is one thing, but
- 24:04how we show people who we are and
- 24:07what we do, that's what matters.
- 24:10Anybody can get up and say things, but
- 24:12it's how you demonstrate things through your actions.
- 24:16Whatever you choose, ladies and gentlemen, commit to
- 24:19one specific action you'll repeat beyond this week.
- 24:24Keep doing it.
- 24:24It'll change your life.
- 24:25Don't make this another promise that disappears tomorrow.
- 24:28Oh, I'm going to focus on integrity.
- 24:31I'm going to focus on, oh, but you
- 24:32know what?
- 24:33I'm tired tomorrow, or I don't want to
- 24:34do it tomorrow, or I'm busy.
- 24:37We'll start next week.
- 24:39Don't make this another promise that disappears tomorrow
- 24:43because then you're going to not take yourself
- 24:46seriously.
- 24:46That's a problem.
- 24:47Make it a practice that becomes part of
- 24:50who you are.
- 24:51Your character.
- 24:52Your character will funnel into your S, your
- 24:57reputation in public.
- 24:59Saturday, ladies and gentlemen, we learn to own
- 25:01it and reclaim control of our decisions.
- 25:04Sunday, we learn to know your worth without
- 25:07depending on everyone's approval.
- 25:09Monday, we learn to think clearly together and
- 25:12evaluate emotional pressure.
- 25:14Tuesday, we learn to set priorities and invest
- 25:17our energy where it actually matters.
- 25:20Wednesday, we learn to take responsibility seriously and
- 25:25turn our intentions into actions.
- 25:27It's one thing to have intentions, but if
- 25:29we never turn them into action, there's no
- 25:33point.
- 25:34Thursday, we learned to protect our power through
- 25:37healthy boundaries.
- 25:39Sometimes we always want to be the yes
- 25:40man or the yes lady.
- 25:41I've learned that that's nice, but actually that
- 25:44drains us and that doesn't leave things on
- 25:47our table, and that's not right for ourselves.
- 25:51Forget about being kind.
- 25:53We're being unkind to ourself.
- 25:56And today, ladies and gentlemen, Friday, we're wrapping
- 25:59the whole week up with completing our journey
- 26:02by learning to live with integrity.
- 26:05Now, these aren't seven disconnected lessons, in case
- 26:09you're wondering.
- 26:09They work together in union.
- 26:12So when you own your choices, you recognize
- 26:16your worth.
- 26:17You think clearly.
- 26:18You set priorities.
- 26:19You accept responsibility.
- 26:20You establish boundaries.
- 26:21You create the foundation for a life guided
- 26:23by your true core values.
- 26:26But none of these lessons matter unless you
- 26:30do one thing.
- 26:31Ladies and gentlemen, you know what that is?
- 26:32Practice them.
- 26:34I can give you all the advice in
- 26:35the world, but if you don't choose to
- 26:37practice it, it's never going to matter for
- 26:39you, right?
- 26:41My grandmother always used to tell me, and
- 26:42I love to play piano, John, if you
- 26:43don't play, you're never going to get better.
- 26:45And she was right.
- 26:47And I had to develop that habit to
- 26:50want to play.
- 26:51It took a little time, but I did.
- 26:54And so you need to practice these.
- 26:57And as you practice them, you get a
- 26:59little better.
- 26:59And as you get better, you grow more
- 27:01confidence, and then it just becomes a domino
- 27:03effect.
- 27:04Ladies and gentlemen, I am John C.
- 27:07Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 27:10author, graduate student, and a lot more.
- 27:12I thank you so much from the bottom
- 27:14of my heart for choosing to join me
- 27:16on this amazing, empowering inspiration for your live
- 27:18show today, and for being part of this
- 27:21seven-day journey that I hope is starting
- 27:24to change your life.
- 27:25Remember, ladies and gentlemen, the world doesn't need
- 27:28another empty promise.
- 27:30It needs people willing to demonstrate honesty, responsibility,
- 27:34compassion, and consistency through meaningful action.
- 27:38I'm not going to tell you that's easy,
- 27:40but if you do, you'll be successful.
- 27:42Let your character speak through your choices.
- 27:45Let your actions be louder than your words.
- 27:47Stay driven, ladies and gentlemen.
- 27:49Keep growing.
- 27:50And if you do that, your life will
- 27:52change over time.
- 27:53And guess what?
- 27:54I'm going to see you in another episode
- 27:56real soon.
- 27:57Tomorrow, we start a brand new master topic.
- 27:59Have yourself a great yesterday or evening, and
- 28:01check out BelieveMeAchieve.com for more of my
