- 0:02Speaker 1: On scoring Leeds Australia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Reader Panalkey Show.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Riada Panekey Show. Coming
- 0:11Speaker 3: up tonight, independent polling showing climate change Minister Chris Bowen
- 0:15Speaker 3: is in danger of losing his Western Sydney seat of McMahon.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Gary Hardgrave will be here to discuss that and the
- 0:22Speaker 3: day's other top stories, including revelations that Australia's foremost child
- 0:27Speaker 3: gender medicine expert misled the Family Court. Senator Alex Antique
- 0:32Speaker 3: will join me shortly to talk about the teals, Trump
- 0:36Speaker 3: and shower Heads. The Great Josh Hammer will have the
- 0:39Speaker 3: latest from the US, including President Trump's escalating trade war
- 0:43Speaker 3: with China, and later in the hour, Kinsey Schofield we'll
- 0:47Speaker 3: have the latest on Megan Markle's Woeful podcast and as always,
- 0:52Speaker 3: Lefties Losing It features a cavalcade of crazy.
- 0:56Speaker 4: You can say, well, there's too much chaos and now
- 0:58Speaker 4: we're going to have Marsha lawn this country and he
- 1:00Speaker 4: becomes a dictator.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know.
- 1:02Speaker 3: But first, the US stock markets saw its third largest
- 1:06Speaker 3: rally since World War II today, following President Trump's decision
- 1:09Speaker 3: to lower tariffs to ten percent on all countries excluding
- 1:13Speaker 3: China for ninety days, Trump hiked America's tariff on China
- 1:18Speaker 3: to one hundred and twenty five percent because unlike other countries,
- 1:22Speaker 3: they are refusing to come to the negotiating table and
- 1:25Speaker 3: are retaliating.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Let's hear from the US president, I blame the.
- 1:29Speaker 6: People sitting at this desk more than I blame China.
- 1:32Speaker 6: If China can get away with, they got away with
- 1:34Speaker 6: with taking hundreds of billions and trillions of dollars right
- 1:39Speaker 6: out of our pocket because our people here were stupid.
- 1:42Speaker 6: There were stupid.
- 1:43Speaker 7: People, maybe corrupt.
- 1:44Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:45Speaker 6: I don't know how you could be that stupid. How
- 1:47Speaker 6: do you get to be president and you're stupid? But
- 1:49Speaker 6: they certainly weren't courageous, and they allowed us to app
- 1:53Speaker 6: If you could read first grade and you could read
- 1:55Speaker 6: these agreements, you'd say, these are terrible deals.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Joining me now for more on this This Guy News
- 2:01Speaker 3: contributor Gary Hardgrave Gary, is it all about the art
- 2:05Speaker 3: of the deal here? Or is Trump using tariffs to
- 2:08Speaker 3: try and get fairer trade and bring China into line
- 2:13Speaker 3: or the alternative view.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Did he did he blink first?
- 2:18Speaker 3: Did he submit to the pressures of the stock market
- 2:22Speaker 3: crashing around him.
- 2:25Speaker 8: Well, possibly bit of two and three. But I got
- 2:27Speaker 8: to say, reader, China wants to run the world, and
- 2:31Speaker 8: America says, only through us can you get that particular reality.
- 2:35Speaker 8: So this is about taking China on. This is about
- 2:38Speaker 8: saying that there's been a whole lot of stuff. Some
- 2:41Speaker 8: of it may be dumping, some of it may well
- 2:43Speaker 8: be restrictive trade coming back the other way. But China
- 2:47Speaker 8: has been aggressively destroying great parts of American industry. So
- 2:51Speaker 8: I get what he's trying to do. A lot of
- 2:53Speaker 8: people here in the structia to be doing the same thing.
- 2:55Speaker 8: I mean, I'm in Peter Dutton's electorate of Dixon, in
- 2:58Speaker 8: the outer reach of Brisbane. I've been here all afternoon
- 3:01Speaker 8: evening and look, people here are doing a tough cost
- 3:05Speaker 8: of living is real manufacturing. They want to keep it going.
- 3:08Speaker 8: But the price of electricity is killing everybody. And yet
- 3:12Speaker 8: China it's building cul fied powerstations, nuclear power stations, It's
- 3:17Speaker 8: doing all the stuff we should be doing to get
- 3:19Speaker 8: the price of electricity down to that stuff. And when
- 3:21Speaker 8: they make stuff, they sell stuff, and that's just a
- 3:24Speaker 8: natural thing. If there's one characteristic of Chinese culture is
- 3:28Speaker 8: they're great traders. So Donald Trump said, whoa, hang on,
- 3:32Speaker 8: I've got to look after America first, so you guys
- 3:34Speaker 8: can slow down here, have a bit more tariff. So
- 3:37Speaker 8: that's what he's done. Blunt, brutal, and maybe risky, but
- 3:40Speaker 8: that was his plan and he's executing it completely.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You know, read it.
- 3:44Speaker 8: The thing was so many people panicked, and I've been
- 3:47Speaker 8: saying for days ago, settled down, Let's see where this
- 3:50Speaker 8: thing runs. Because Trump seems to always have something around
- 3:53Speaker 8: the corner. You don't know what's coming. We'll see.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Well, well, with Trump, it's always about the outcomes. The
- 4:01Speaker 3: why and the where and the how. All of that
- 4:03Speaker 3: is very much secondary. It's all about the outcomes. And
- 4:07Speaker 3: I think people still haven't learned that. They still haven't
- 4:11Speaker 3: learned that he's playing a game. Yere and we're going
- 4:13Speaker 3: to talk a lot more about Tariff's and Trump's strategy
- 4:16Speaker 3: in dealing with China after the break with Josh Hammer.
- 4:20Speaker 3: But closer to home, independent polling has revealed that Climate
- 4:24Speaker 3: Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen is in danger of
- 4:28Speaker 3: losing his Western Sydney seat of McMahon to local tech
- 4:31Speaker 3: millionaire Matt came and Zuli. Chris Bowen's primary vote in
- 4:36Speaker 3: the seat is at nineteen percent, which is even lower
- 4:39Speaker 3: than the Liberal support of twenty and Carmen Zuli sitting.
- 4:42Speaker 5: On forty one percent.
- 4:43Speaker 3: According to this polling, Gary McMahon is a fairly socially
- 4:49Speaker 3: conservative seat.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Has got to be sayd.
- 4:51Speaker 3: They overwhelmingly rejected the same sex marriage plever site that labor.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Back in twenty seventeen, they voted no to the Jeni's
- 5:00Speaker 3: Voice to Parliament.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Seems like Chris Bowen is in a fair bit of
- 5:04Speaker 5: trouble here.
- 5:05Speaker 8: I hope so, because he deserves to be. This bloke
- 5:07Speaker 8: is almost single handedly ruining Australia, although the Prime Minister
- 5:11Speaker 8: is his wingman because he's letting him get away with it.
- 5:14Speaker 8: You know, when this mob were elected three years ago,
- 5:16Speaker 8: I said, the epitaph on this government will be written
- 5:19Speaker 8: one day and Chris Bowen will be front and center
- 5:22Speaker 8: in that history. And that's exactly right. Look, Matthew Camon's
- 5:26Speaker 8: Earley is a bloke with his own self made story.
- 5:29Speaker 8: Everything he's done has been off the back of him
- 5:31Speaker 8: taking a risk, mortgaging his house, starting something up. The
- 5:35Speaker 8: emphasis on him being a tech millionaire is only the
- 5:38Speaker 8: end of the story so far, because he's actually made
- 5:41Speaker 8: everything he's made for himself by himself. And this bloke
- 5:45Speaker 8: has been listening to the local community and cavinz Early
- 5:48Speaker 8: has been saying, and I spoke to him some months
- 5:50Speaker 8: ago and he said, I think I'm going to do this.
- 5:52Speaker 8: He said, someone's got to have a crack at this
- 5:55Speaker 8: Chris Bowen bloke. He's out of touch with the local community.
- 5:58Speaker 8: He's out of touch with what Australia needs. He's out
- 6:00Speaker 8: of touch with mum and dad, businesses, small businesses. So
- 6:03Speaker 8: Matthew has decided he's going to put his name forward
- 6:06Speaker 8: and well, the polling suggests it may well be starting
- 6:09Speaker 8: to tweak. The result that many I think probably secretly
- 6:13Speaker 8: are praying every night would achieve this bloke out of
- 6:15Speaker 8: the Parliament. What a great result if that occurs.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Now, let's talk about the Family Court. Justice Andrew Strum
- 6:24Speaker 3: has ruled that one of Australia's foremost child gender medicine
- 6:28Speaker 3: experts misled the Family Court when giving evidence to support
- 6:32Speaker 3: a mother who wanted to put her twelve year old child,
- 6:35Speaker 3: a biological male, on puberty blockers. Despite the father wanting
- 6:40Speaker 3: to hold off on treatment and quote let the child
- 6:43Speaker 3: be the child. The court found that the gender clinic
- 6:46Speaker 3: that has been treating the child since the age of six,
- 6:49Speaker 3: Gary the age of six, failed to formally give a
- 6:53Speaker 3: gender dysphori a diagnosis until the court proceedings had commenced.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Justice strums are so I did with the father in
- 7:01Speaker 3: the judgment, stripping the mother of custody and effectively preventing
- 7:05Speaker 3: the child from accessing this sort of treatment, and lashing
- 7:09Speaker 3: the approach of hospitals to children questioning their gender, saying
- 7:13Speaker 3: the decision to affirm unreservedly any child that raises concerns
- 7:19Speaker 3: over their gender is oddly binary. Gary, I've got to say, finally,
- 7:25Speaker 3: common sense judgment on this issue that's based on science,
- 7:30Speaker 3: based on fact, not radical gender theory.
- 7:35Speaker 8: And I'm sick of this kind of woke destruction of Australia.
- 7:39Speaker 8: And look, I would like to nominate this judge for
- 7:42Speaker 8: Australian of the Year. Here we are, we're only in April,
- 7:45Speaker 8: but I reckon this guy is going to be hard
- 7:46Speaker 8: to beat because this took a lot of guts, because
- 7:50Speaker 8: he's staring down the woke left, the extremists who believe
- 7:53Speaker 8: that a child can pretend to be this and then
- 7:56Speaker 8: chemically be made into that. I mean, it's hard enough,
- 8:00Speaker 8: having been a twelve year old boy myself at one stage,
- 8:03Speaker 8: to get yourself through the next few years. Knowing that
- 8:07Speaker 8: dad and mum have got a disagreement about this is
- 8:09Speaker 8: going to twist the child around. This is a form
- 8:11Speaker 8: of child abuse and it's been institutionalized by the medical
- 8:15Speaker 8: services who have been attempting to change things the way
- 8:19Speaker 8: the child was born since the child was sick. So
- 8:23Speaker 8: I think a lot of us are scratching in their
- 8:24Speaker 8: heads and wondering where the hell list has come from
- 8:27Speaker 8: Rita and I just hope it goes to hell because
- 8:29Speaker 8: it is really bad stuff. And good on the judge
- 8:32Speaker 8: for getting it right. Thank Evans. Finally, Australian of the Year.
- 8:36Speaker 8: You watch.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Well, let's hope so we know what the selection committee
- 8:42Speaker 3: is like just very quickly. The ABC is promoting a
- 8:45Speaker 3: collaboration with Dickie University. That's the ABC's elite athletes in
- 8:50Speaker 3: Australian women's Sports survey. But the ABC doesn't seem to
- 8:54Speaker 3: know what a woman is gary have a look at
- 8:56Speaker 3: who can participate in this so called women's survey open
- 9:00Speaker 3: to elite athletes who identify as cisgender women. So that's
- 9:05Speaker 3: actually just women, also non binary athletes, transgender women, and
- 9:10Speaker 3: gender diverse athletes. It's also open to women, non binary
- 9:14Speaker 3: and gender diverse athletes who may compete in mixed gender events.
- 9:18Speaker 3: So Gary, what's the point of having a woman's survey
- 9:22Speaker 3: if it's not restricted to women? If I could have
- 9:25Speaker 3: a ten second answer.
- 9:27Speaker 8: Look friends and let friends watch or listen to their ABC.
- 9:30Speaker 8: They're just looking for a mailing list of people who
- 9:32Speaker 8: rasp in interviews to get their views on other subjects.
- 9:36Speaker 8: Ignore it.
- 9:37Speaker 9: I say.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Good advice there from Gary Hardgrave, thank you for your
- 9:42Speaker 3: time tonight. Now it seems Simon Holmes Accord maybe getting
- 9:46Speaker 3: a little bit worried about Zoe Daniel's ability to hold
- 9:49Speaker 3: the Melbourne Bayside seat of Goldstein, formerly held by Liberal
- 9:53Speaker 3: Tim Wilson, who.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Is again the Liberals candidate.
- 9:56Speaker 3: The Australian reports Climate two hundreds donated approximately four one
- 10:00Speaker 3: hundred and seventy thousand dollars to Zoe Daniel's campaign in
- 10:03Speaker 3: the past year, including a lumsum or fifty thousand dollars
- 10:07Speaker 3: last week let's bring in Liberal Senator Alex Antick. Alex,
- 10:12Speaker 3: there's an assumption by many that the Tills are going
- 10:15Speaker 3: to struggle this time around, but with the money behind them,
- 10:19Speaker 3: perhaps such conclusions are a little bit premature.
- 10:26Speaker 10: Yeah, we'll read. These are very close contests across the board.
- 10:30Speaker 10: We're seeing the one you referred to. I think he's
- 10:32Speaker 10: on an absolute knife s edge at the moment, So
- 10:35Speaker 10: they are close contests. We're seeing a very different set
- 10:38Speaker 10: of contests though, by the looks of it, from three
- 10:41Speaker 10: years ago when there was a flow in the opposite direction.
- 10:44Speaker 10: But I think what's happened here is Australians are now
- 10:48Speaker 10: understanding a little bit more about this movement and what
- 10:51Speaker 10: it actually means and what it's voting record is. Like,
- 10:53Speaker 10: I think it's across the board with the tiers something
- 10:57Speaker 10: like a seventy percent voter lineup, you know, supporting things
- 11:01Speaker 10: that the Greens support, and they do certainly vote with
- 11:04Speaker 10: Labor more than the Liberal Party. So one would hope
- 11:07Speaker 10: that message gets out there, regardless of the money being
- 11:10Speaker 10: spent on the campaign, and I think it is.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Well they were presented as a conservative alternatives. I think
- 11:18Speaker 3: people forget that they won't presented as some green labor entity.
- 11:24Speaker 3: They were supposed to be a safe choice for conservative
- 11:28Speaker 3: voters who were perhaps disillusioned with the modern Liberal party.
- 11:31Speaker 3: But they don't vote like conservatives, do they, Alex, They
- 11:35Speaker 3: vote like the Greens.
- 11:39Speaker 10: No, Well, that's right, and the statistics show that have
- 11:42Speaker 10: come out now. As I said, I think it's in
- 11:44Speaker 10: the order of a seventy percent voting record with the Greens,
- 11:46Speaker 10: which is more than just you know, a little bit
- 11:49Speaker 10: over the equilibrium. It's twenty one percent or you know,
- 11:52Speaker 10: in some cases more so. This is what we're dealing
- 11:55Speaker 10: with here now in those electorates. So I think there
- 11:57Speaker 10: are a lot of Liberal voters who have now worked
- 12:00Speaker 10: that out and are now looking to return as they should,
- 12:04Speaker 10: because of course, a lot of these policy positions that
- 12:07Speaker 10: we're talking about are ones which are very much responsible
- 12:09Speaker 10: for the cost of living crisis, which is affecting people
- 12:11Speaker 10: even in affluent suburbs. Like some of these they are
- 12:15Speaker 10: hitting across the board, and I think voters are ready
- 12:17Speaker 10: to remind some of these people of that fact.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Now, education is an issue might not be a top
- 12:25Speaker 3: tier issue at this election, but it's certainly something Australians
- 12:28Speaker 3: care passionately about and we do have.
- 12:31Speaker 5: An education crisis of sorts.
- 12:32Speaker 3: We're investing heavily in the sector, but the results aren't
- 12:36Speaker 3: getting any better. And it's no wonder when you've got
- 12:39Speaker 3: failed school leavers with atars as low as thirty nine
- 12:43Speaker 3: alex being recruited into teaching degrees.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Not only is the curriculum.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Corrupted by leftist ideology, but we've got teaching standards that
- 12:53Speaker 3: seem to be undermined continuously. But by allowing kids with
- 12:59Speaker 3: atars of thirty nine to go into teaching degrees.
- 13:04Speaker 10: Yeah, look, and you're right. I mean, it's not just
- 13:06Speaker 10: about ideology and the sorts of things that are being
- 13:09Speaker 10: taught in school rooms. That is a huge concern. It's
- 13:12Speaker 10: a huge concern for many of us, I have to say,
- 13:14Speaker 10: who have in a school age kids that are looking
- 13:16Speaker 10: at this issue. But the thing that's really alarming is
- 13:18Speaker 10: this fact about the dropping standards. Over the last twenty years,
- 13:22Speaker 10: we've seen standards drop all across the board in schooling
- 13:25Speaker 10: of all levels. There was a statistic that I read
- 13:28Speaker 10: that said that year ten students in the last twenty
- 13:31Speaker 10: years have gone backwards a year over the course of
- 13:33Speaker 10: that time in their schooling and there are as many others.
- 13:36Speaker 10: That's about the reading, numeracy and literacy skills that are
- 13:39Speaker 10: being dropped. I mean, this is where it all begins
- 13:41Speaker 10: and ends. Now, these are the next generation of kids
- 13:44Speaker 10: who need to be taught properly, and this needs to
- 13:46Speaker 10: be a priority. The labor government simply hasn't addressed this properly.
- 13:50Speaker 10: We need a back to basics approach. We need to
- 13:52Speaker 10: teach reading, writing, and arithmetic as they used to say.
- 13:55Speaker 10: And see I was taught well, and it needs to
- 13:58Speaker 10: be a priority, and I don't think this is the
- 14:00Speaker 10: way to do it now. I should say ATA scores
- 14:02Speaker 10: are not the be all and end all. That is
- 14:04Speaker 10: the absolute fact. But thirty nine percent would strike me
- 14:08Speaker 10: as being a little bit low.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I would think so.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Now let's hear from AFL star Riley O'Brien, who appeared
- 14:16Speaker 3: on your podcast based with Senator alexanderik. Here he discusses
- 14:22Speaker 3: some of the political and cultural influences that he's had
- 14:27Speaker 3: and the backlash she received when he shared this online.
- 14:30Speaker 3: When he posted a photo of himself with Jordan Peterson
- 14:34Speaker 3: on social media.
- 14:35Speaker 11: There was a bit of controversy in the back of
- 14:37Speaker 11: that which I sort of expected, but I sort of
- 14:39Speaker 11: put that photo out there as sort of a restore
- 14:42Speaker 11: some sanity of the world. To be able to have
- 14:44Speaker 11: associated with people like that who are doing such good
- 14:47Speaker 11: in the world, and you as well, and be able to,
- 14:51Speaker 11: I guess, not be a coward to the pressure of
- 14:55Speaker 11: sort of some of the mainstream media.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Alex It take scuts to stand up to the idea
- 15:02Speaker 3: logues of the land, particularly if you're a sportsman with
- 15:05Speaker 3: a profile.
- 15:08Speaker 10: Yeah, he's a ripper Riley. He's the smartest man in
- 15:11Speaker 10: the AFL, as the AFL website calls him. And he's
- 15:14Speaker 10: well read and well researched, and he loves his podcasts
- 15:18Speaker 10: and he loves talking. But he's absolutely across all these
- 15:21Speaker 10: issues and I think actually a bit of a voice
- 15:23Speaker 10: for men of his generation. You know, we keep getting
- 15:26Speaker 10: told that men are nothing more than toxic domestic violence
- 15:30Speaker 10: offenders waiting to happen across the board. Well, what a
- 15:33Speaker 10: lot of nonsense. We have to get over this, you know,
- 15:36Speaker 10: these campaigns to try and smear young men and burden
- 15:40Speaker 10: them with the collective guilt of previous generations is over.
- 15:43Speaker 10: We have to start speaking to them in a manner
- 15:45Speaker 10: that's sensible, and people like Riley. I mean, it's a
- 15:47Speaker 10: great conversation.
- 15:49Speaker 12: I love the.
- 15:49Speaker 10: Ability to be able to go and talk to people
- 15:50Speaker 10: on a different level using a political lens, if you like,
- 15:54Speaker 10: and you find there are a lot of people out
- 15:55Speaker 10: there who are doing things you would never expect, that
- 15:58Speaker 10: have a lot of views that are pretty good, and
- 16:00Speaker 10: he's one of them.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Now to Donald Trump's surprise decision to drop all tariffs
- 16:07Speaker 3: down to temperson on all countries except China, this is
- 16:10Speaker 3: a ninety day pause. China's tariff's skyrocketed further.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Tell me about where Australia is placed.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Now we've got ninety days to hopefully negotiate an exemption.
- 16:25Speaker 3: If Peter Dutton is Prime Minister, how will he handle
- 16:30Speaker 3: this negotiation and why will there be any different to
- 16:32Speaker 3: what Anthony Albanezi has been able to achieve.
- 16:38Speaker 10: Well for starters, I don't think that Donald Trump scares
- 16:41Speaker 10: the excrement out of Peter like he does the Prime minister.
- 16:47Speaker 10: As he said in his comments originally, I mean, the
- 16:51Speaker 10: Prime Minister says he has a constructive relationship with the President,
- 16:54Speaker 10: but it seems that the president's constructing him out of
- 16:56Speaker 10: the way and doesn't talk to him. You won't get
- 16:59Speaker 10: that with Peter Dutton. We know what he will do.
- 17:01Speaker 10: He will pick up the phone and have a proper
- 17:03Speaker 10: conversation about this because we don't want this bearing on
- 17:06Speaker 10: our farmers. But we only have ninety days, so this
- 17:09Speaker 10: will come out the other end of the parliament. And
- 17:11Speaker 10: I think it's illustrative of a strong leader and that's
- 17:14Speaker 10: what we need and that's what we'll get if you
- 17:16Speaker 10: vote Liberal on Saturday, May the third.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Now before you go, Alex, let's turn our attention to
- 17:22Speaker 3: mass up make showers great again. Here's President Donald Trump
- 17:27Speaker 3: putting an end to Joe Biden's war on water pressure.
- 17:31Speaker 13: So with this Executive water we're factually going to be
- 17:34Speaker 13: reversing that set of regulations to ensure that Americans have
- 17:37Speaker 13: choice in the consumer market. If they want a low
- 17:39Speaker 13: flow shower, how they can buy one. If they want
- 17:41Speaker 13: to shower.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Should pay a lot of money. And the developers, you
- 17:50Speaker 6: don't allowed to do anything work.
- 17:52Speaker 5: They put restrictors.
- 17:53Speaker 6: They used to have a restrictor where you could take
- 17:55Speaker 6: it out, but now they're welded in and make case
- 17:57Speaker 6: i'd like to take a nice shower care of my
- 18:00Speaker 6: beautiful hair. For fifteen minutes he gets Webb privit greviat ridiculous.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Alex in all seriousness, can we adopt this policy locally?
- 18:16Speaker 10: I hope so. I mean it sounds ludicrous on the surface,
- 18:19Speaker 10: but he knows what he's doing. This is about regulation.
- 18:21Speaker 10: This is about removing regulation and removing ridiculous environmental burdens
- 18:26Speaker 10: on everyone. And of course it has a real effect.
- 18:28Speaker 10: I mean, it's a it's an illustration of how these
- 18:30Speaker 10: things have an effect in real world terms. And look,
- 18:34Speaker 10: anything that will make his hair shine brightly, beautiful, some
- 18:38Speaker 10: of the hugest, most beautiful hair in the world. Is
- 18:42Speaker 10: good with me. I say, bring it on.
- 18:45Speaker 5: That's at Alexander. Thank you for your time.
- 18:48Speaker 7: Thanks reader.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Still to karm, left is Losing It plus the latest
- 18:52Speaker 3: from the US, including the truth behind President Trump's escalating
- 18:57Speaker 3: trade war with China. The Great Josh joins me next,
- 19:10Speaker 3: welcome back. It's time for lefties losing it and we've
- 19:13Speaker 3: avoided them all week, but alas I can no longer
- 19:17Speaker 3: ignore the weapon grade lunacy of the view. The ladies
- 19:21Speaker 3: have had another bad week. Well, there are no good
- 19:24Speaker 3: weeks on the view, just differing levels of misery and madness.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Let's hear from Joy Beha who thinks Donald Trump is
- 19:32Speaker 3: trying to destroy the country or he is trying to
- 19:36Speaker 3: enrich his mates.
- 19:37Speaker 4: He's trying to destroy the country. Now why is he
- 19:39Speaker 4: doing that? Just as a person in the in the
- 19:42Speaker 4: audience like watching this.
- 19:44Speaker 1: So there's a couple of theories.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Yes, Like, first of all, if he tanks the entire
- 19:52Speaker 4: I'm not doing the stock market, all his billionaire friends
- 19:56Speaker 4: can swoop in and buy everything. Look, that's not an
- 19:58Speaker 4: original idea, that's hakim draft.
- 20:00Speaker 5: He said that genius analysis their joy.
- 20:03Speaker 3: You really are a rare intellect. I mean, the people
- 20:06Speaker 3: who lost the most money when the stock market dived
- 20:09Speaker 3: were the elite, the richest. But let's hear more of
- 20:12Speaker 3: this cunning examination today on.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Truth Social he wrote, Trump wrote a great time to
- 20:19Speaker 4: buy hm.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Yes he did, and you were free to follow that
- 20:25Speaker 3: sage advice. Joy, Plenty of folks did. Plenty of folks
- 20:29Speaker 3: didn't panic and held onto their investments. And yes, the
- 20:33Speaker 3: markets had a bumper day. The sp five hundred soared
- 20:37Speaker 3: nine and a half percent, its biggest gain since two
- 20:39Speaker 3: thousand and eight, while the Dow Joanes Industrial average jumped
- 20:43Speaker 3: up seven point nine percent.
- 20:45Speaker 5: How does that go with your analysis of.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Trump wanting to destroy America or this next bit of
- 20:51Speaker 3: lunatic supposition.
- 20:53Speaker 4: People are starting to get mad.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Well, that's good here, you want them to get mad.
- 20:57Speaker 4: But how how mad will people get? And how broke
- 21:00Speaker 4: will people get? And how many jobs will be lost?
- 21:03Speaker 1: And then he can.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Say, well, there's too much chaos, and now we're going
- 21:06Speaker 4: to have Marshall law in this country and he becomes
- 21:08Speaker 4: a dictator.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know.
- 21:10Speaker 4: That may be out out of the boundaries.
- 21:13Speaker 1: But it's possible.
- 21:14Speaker 4: So as just as somebody watching the news, that's what
- 21:17Speaker 4: I see.
- 21:18Speaker 3: You know, if you've got good friends around you, they
- 21:21Speaker 3: are honest with you when you go off the rails.
- 21:25Speaker 3: They don't feed your paranoid delusions. It's clear that Woopy
- 21:28Speaker 3: Goldberg is not a good friend to Joy because she
- 21:32Speaker 3: encouraged that latest boush of crazy. She believes Donald Trump
- 21:36Speaker 3: wants to crash the market so people go nuts and
- 21:40Speaker 3: then he can institute martial law. Okay, I tell you
- 21:44Speaker 3: who else has had a rough week. It's the worst
- 21:47Speaker 3: vice presidential candidate in history. Tim Walls aka Tampon Walls
- 21:52Speaker 3: Tampon Tim, a name he earned for putting tampons in boys'
- 21:57Speaker 3: restrooms in schools across his state.
- 22:00Speaker 5: Well, here he is in the Minnesota.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Capital being booed by veterans, and for good reason, because
- 22:07Speaker 3: Tampon Tim's other nickname is stolen Valor Walls.
- 22:14Speaker 14: Welcome, Welcome to the capitol gets.
- 22:20Speaker 2: You're welcome. You can't let me.
- 22:22Speaker 14: Finish, Let me finish. There's a passion in the middle.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Did you hear the shouts of coward there?
- 22:38Speaker 3: Let's hear from Tim in front of a far friendlier crowd.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Here he claims that we should celebrate success, but then
- 22:46Speaker 3: he says we should demonize a Musk.
- 22:49Speaker 15: I think democrats supporting families, supporting the working class, supporting unions.
- 22:53Speaker 15: But I think we have to separate and have a
- 22:55Speaker 15: message here it's okay in America to be successful. What
- 22:59Speaker 15: we should demonizes people like Elon Musk and those people
- 23:03Speaker 15: that do that.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And that's different.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Yep, trying to make sense of that. You know what,
- 23:09Speaker 3: Tampon team is going to be extra depressed today because
- 23:13Speaker 3: Tesla shares are soaring despite the unhinged, violent attacks we've seen,
- 23:18Speaker 3: attacks that Democrats refuse to condemn.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Here is Chuck Schumer.
- 23:23Speaker 16: What's your opinion of the violence against Tesla their products?
- 23:29Speaker 16: What are your thoughts on that? Do you denounce the
- 23:30Speaker 16: violence against Tesla products and dealerships and cars in the streets.
- 23:36Speaker 8: I can't talk about Tesla, but Elon Musk is a
- 23:39Speaker 8: disaster for America, and America knows it.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Look at Wisconsin, what now proving that misery loves company.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Let's check in with the hideous propagandist George Conway. Remember
- 23:52Speaker 3: when he was feeling joyful and gleeful, he was in
- 23:56Speaker 3: boldened defaming Donald Trump, believing that these sham try We're
- 24:00Speaker 3: going to make Donald Trump unelectable.
- 24:02Speaker 7: He's a deeply disturbed, a deeply morally bereft human being
- 24:08Speaker 7: who has no conscience, has no morality, has no empathy,
- 24:13Speaker 7: has no remorse, and is sadistic.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Ah, those were the days for George. But those heady,
- 24:20Speaker 3: delusional days are well and truly over Watch this thirty
- 24:25Speaker 3: second compilation of George crying like a little girl.
- 24:29Speaker 5: You're welcome.
- 24:30Speaker 7: I'm going to get moist eye here, bighain.
- 24:36Speaker 12: Sir.
- 24:36Speaker 17: Whatever it is that these people seem to be. And
- 24:39Speaker 17: I went so far actually yesterday to Donald and Porter.
- 24:47Speaker 17: That also was very moving because something people want and
- 24:51Speaker 17: I wanted and we're all in this together.
- 24:55Speaker 7: Ouh of ah, and.
- 24:57Speaker 17: Some people just don't give it and that makes me
- 25:00Speaker 17: and daughters.
- 25:00Speaker 7: Of Judge Riff Kennedy.
- 25:03Speaker 3: And to another miserable aging doult Here is techno dude Moby,
- 25:08Speaker 3: who seems to think billionaire Donald Trump is really really
- 25:12Speaker 3: bad at business. He also seems to think that Trump
- 25:14Speaker 3: supporters have regrets.
- 25:16Speaker 5: Who's going to break it to him?
- 25:18Speaker 18: So for the people who voted for Trump or have
- 25:21Speaker 18: supported Trump, can you finally just admit you were wrong?
- 25:26Speaker 18: Trump has spent his entire life bankrupting businesses and now, surprise, surprise,
- 25:31Speaker 18: he's bankrupting in the United States. So look, we can
- 25:35Speaker 18: move on. But if you supported Trump or voted for him,
- 25:38Speaker 18: just please finally now justin me.
- 25:41Speaker 13: You were wrong.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Now let's end with more weapon grade crazy from a
- 25:46Speaker 3: host view Sonny Houston shows she can be just as
- 25:49Speaker 3: irrational and race obsessed away from the view desk as.
- 25:53Speaker 5: She is on it.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Here she argues that many blacks and women will not
- 25:57Speaker 3: be able to participate in the democratic process if we
- 26:01Speaker 3: have voter id.
- 26:02Speaker 19: Laws, Well, don't have cars don't have driver's licenses, so
- 26:07Speaker 19: it's sort of a vestige of I think post slavery
- 26:11Speaker 19: laws where they were black people had to prove their
- 26:16Speaker 19: right to vote, and oftentimes they couldn't vote because they
- 26:20Speaker 19: couldn't pass some crazy tests or they didn't have the
- 26:22Speaker 19: appropriate ID. It also affects women women that are married.
- 26:26Speaker 19: Maybe your passport reflects something that's different on your birth
- 26:30Speaker 19: certificate or on your driver's license. So really the bottom
- 26:34Speaker 19: line is voter suppression. And I agree with them one
- 26:37Speaker 19: hundred percent. It's a brilliant notion that less voter ID
- 26:41Speaker 19: laws allows more people to vote.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Only problem, Sony is that we don't want more people
- 26:48Speaker 3: who are not eligible to vote. And how bigoted of
- 26:52Speaker 3: you to suggest that black folk and women don't have IDs.
- 26:56Speaker 5: That's what they mean.
- 26:57Speaker 3: By the bigotry of low expectatorations. The US China trade
- 27:03Speaker 3: wall is well and truly underway, with the Trump administration
- 27:06Speaker 3: determined to bring the CCP into line, and though much
- 27:10Speaker 3: of the corporate sector is thinking in the short term
- 27:13Speaker 3: and worried about daily share market fluctuations, there are business
- 27:17Speaker 3: leaders who want China to pay. Here is Kevin O'Leary
- 27:21Speaker 3: on CNN one.
- 27:23Speaker 20: Hundred and four percent. Tariffs in China are not enough.
- 27:26Speaker 20: I'm advocating four hundred percent. I do business in China.
- 27:30Speaker 20: They don't play by the rules. They've been in the
- 27:32Speaker 20: WHO for decades. They have never abided by any of
- 27:35Speaker 20: the rules they agreed to when they came in for decades.
- 27:38Speaker 20: They cheat, They steal, they steal ip I can't let
- 27:40Speaker 20: it gate in their courts. They take product, technology, they
- 27:44Speaker 20: steal it, they manufacture it and sell it back here
- 27:49Speaker 20: never has an administry and four hundred or they want
- 27:52Speaker 20: cheat on an airplane to Washington to level the playing field.
- 27:57Speaker 20: It's not about tariffs anymore. Nobody has taken on China yet,
- 28:02Speaker 20: not the Europeans, no administration for decades. As someone who
- 28:06Speaker 20: actually does business there, I've had enough. I speak for
- 28:09Speaker 20: millions of Americans who have ip that have been stolen
- 28:13Speaker 20: by the Chinese.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Olarry understands what Trump understands. Indeed, what Trump has been
- 28:19Speaker 3: saying since the nineteen eighties, and what he campaigned on.
- 28:22Speaker 5: None of this should be a surprise.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Tariffs are a powerful tool, and when it comes to China,
- 28:28Speaker 3: it's time to make them pay.
- 28:30Speaker 20: You mean, not like his style or his rhetoric. Finally
- 28:33Speaker 20: an administration that puts up and says enough, four hundred
- 28:39Speaker 20: percent tariffs. Tomorrow morning, He'll tell you why. She can
- 28:43Speaker 20: only stay the supreme leader if people are employed, if
- 28:47Speaker 20: we wipe out any business there. Because we are still
- 28:51Speaker 20: thirty nine percent of all consumables on Earth and twenty
- 28:54Speaker 20: five percent of the world's GDP. America is the number
- 28:57Speaker 20: one economy on Earth.
- 28:59Speaker 2: With all the cards.
- 29:00Speaker 20: We will not have that forever. It's time to squeeze
- 29:02Speaker 20: Chinese heads into the wall.
- 29:05Speaker 11: Now.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Joining me now is Newsweek's senior editor at Large and
- 29:08Speaker 3: Article three Project Senior Council Josh Hammer. Josh, China does steal,
- 29:14Speaker 3: ip it cheats, It acts in bad faith, it uses
- 29:17Speaker 3: economic coercion, and no other economy in the world. But
- 29:21Speaker 3: America is powerful enough to take them on.
- 29:26Speaker 21: Rita, you nailed there when you said that Donald Trump
- 29:28Speaker 21: has been talking about this issue since the nineteen eighties.
- 29:30Speaker 21: He has been remarkably consistent on this issue for longer,
- 29:33Speaker 21: quite literally than I have been alive. Since his very
- 29:36Speaker 21: earliest days in the New York City media scene, going
- 29:39Speaker 21: back to the Oprah Winfree Show and all the New
- 29:41Speaker 21: York City tabloids He has always, always, always been a
- 29:45Speaker 21: class trader, is the phrase that I like to use.
- 29:48Speaker 21: He has always been a heterodox thinker among his classes
- 29:51Speaker 21: economic milieu of ultra millionaires and billionaires, pretty much all
- 29:55Speaker 21: of whom supported China's ascension to the World Trade Organization.
- 29:57Speaker 21: Exactly what mister wonderful Kevin O'Leary was talking about there
- 30:00Speaker 21: and that clip there. The billionaires all thought that China
- 30:04Speaker 21: being part of the global economy, you try to westernize
- 30:07Speaker 21: them all these various hibolets and platitudes such as this
- 30:10Speaker 21: notion that economic liberalization will help lead to political liberalization. Well,
- 30:14Speaker 21: how the heck is that working out? Yeah, I mean,
- 30:16Speaker 21: we saw what happened in China during the COVID nineteen.
- 30:18Speaker 21: It's not exactly a politically liberalized country. There is an
- 30:21Speaker 21: authoritarian country in every which way of the term. So
- 30:24Speaker 21: Donald Trump, again, now in his second term, has the
- 30:27Speaker 21: opportunity to actually act on his four and a half
- 30:30Speaker 21: five decade long, sincerely consistently held views when it comes
- 30:34Speaker 21: to tariffs and trade with China, and thank god he's
- 30:37Speaker 21: doing it. He became the first president in his first term,
- 30:41Speaker 21: just go back to back then, he was the first
- 30:43Speaker 21: president as Richard Nixon went to visit Chairman Mauziedung in
- 30:46Speaker 21: Beijing back in the early nineteen seventies. He was the
- 30:48Speaker 21: first president to try to reorient US China relations. He
- 30:52Speaker 21: was very successful. He was a very underappreciated part of
- 30:54Speaker 21: his first term in office. Now he's just trying to
- 30:56Speaker 21: finish what he already started. Frankly, he's trying to finish
- 30:59Speaker 21: what he's starts talking about again five decades ago. So
- 31:02Speaker 21: I'm all in for the trade war with China. These
- 31:04Speaker 21: were minds can vary, I think on perhaps some of
- 31:07Speaker 21: the other towers and other countries there, but the China stuff,
- 31:09Speaker 21: I am all freaking and reading. I think the American
- 31:11Speaker 21: people are too.
- 31:14Speaker 3: You are so right also about the economic liberation was
- 31:17Speaker 3: supposed to lead to political liberation.
- 31:21Speaker 5: That was the lie we were all sold.
- 31:23Speaker 3: We were told that this was going to help China
- 31:25Speaker 3: become a great democracy, and of course none of that
- 31:28Speaker 3: has happened, and they have just extended their influence throughout
- 31:32Speaker 3: the world.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Now.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Much of the media is presenting Donald Trump's latest move
- 31:37Speaker 3: as a capitulation, but White House Press Secretary of Caroline
- 31:41Speaker 3: Leavitt she pushed back on that narrative.
- 31:44Speaker 22: Many of you in the media clearly missed the art
- 31:47Speaker 22: of the deal. You clearly failed to see what President
- 31:50Speaker 22: Trump is doing here. You tried to say that the
- 31:53Speaker 22: rest of the world would be moved closer to China,
- 31:55Speaker 22: when in fact we've seen the opposite effect.
- 31:57Speaker 1: The entire world is calling the.
- 31:59Speaker 22: United States America not China, because they need our markets,
- 32:02Speaker 22: they need our consumers, and they need this president in
- 32:05Speaker 22: the Oval Office to talk to them.
- 32:07Speaker 3: And Treasury Secretary Scott the sen says this was always
- 32:11Speaker 3: the strategy.
- 32:12Speaker 9: This was his strategy all along, and that you know,
- 32:16Speaker 9: you might even say that he go to China into
- 32:20Speaker 9: a bad position. They responded, they have shown themselves to
- 32:25Speaker 9: the world to be the bad actors, and we are
- 32:28Speaker 9: willing to cooperate with our allies and with our trading
- 32:33Speaker 9: partners who did not retaliate. It wasn't a hard message,
- 32:37Speaker 9: don't retaliate. Things will turn out well.
- 32:39Speaker 5: Josh, how do you see it.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Did Donald Trump react when he saw rights on ten
- 32:43Speaker 3: year treasury bonds falling and he changed course or was
- 32:48Speaker 3: this always part of the play.
- 32:51Speaker 21: Well, it's very hard to say, and his administration is
- 32:53Speaker 21: very divided, even to an extent on the towers. I mean,
- 32:56Speaker 21: we've seen Elon musket Is using some show he say
- 32:59Speaker 21: choice verb to talk about Peter Navarro, who's the pro terror,
- 33:03Speaker 21: pro industrial policy economic advisor to President Trump. So I
- 33:07Speaker 21: mean even his own cabinet is divided. Scott Bessen, who
- 33:10Speaker 21: now is kind of saying a lot of this apparently
- 33:12Speaker 21: behind closed doors. He was actually a bit of a
- 33:14Speaker 21: skeptic himself. But again, Donald Trump really does believe in Arroiss.
- 33:17Speaker 21: But here's what Donald Trump also believes, and he also
- 33:19Speaker 21: believes in taking a very strong negotiating tactic and then
- 33:22Speaker 21: forcing the other side to the table. I think back
- 33:25Speaker 21: to his comments just two months ago at the White
- 33:27Speaker 21: House talking about how he thinks the United States might
- 33:29Speaker 21: take over Gaza one day. Does he actually think that
- 33:33Speaker 21: that the United States is going to take over Gaza? Maybe,
- 33:35Speaker 21: but maybe not. I mean that's another example. It's a
- 33:38Speaker 21: very very strong opening position, just trying to bring other
- 33:41Speaker 21: people to the table. It really is just the art
- 33:44Speaker 21: of the deal. I mean, this is how deals get made.
- 33:47Speaker 21: You take a very strong opening position, you basically scare
- 33:50Speaker 21: the Jesus out of your opponent there and kind of
- 33:53Speaker 21: helps also when you're perceived as a little bit of
- 33:55Speaker 21: a madman. I mean Richard Nixon back when he was president,
- 33:57Speaker 21: they called this the Madman theory of foreign policy. No
- 34:00Speaker 21: one knew what the heck Richard Nixon was going to
- 34:01Speaker 21: say or do on the world stage, very similar to
- 34:04Speaker 21: Donald Trump.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Nowadays, actually as well there.
- 34:06Speaker 21: So I'm entirely sure exactly if they played this out
- 34:09Speaker 21: according to all the details there. But I think at
- 34:12Speaker 21: this current juncture, at this exact time there, America is
- 34:15Speaker 21: looking a lot better than it was a week week
- 34:17Speaker 21: and a half ago. And frankly, the people who kind
- 34:19Speaker 21: of sold all their stocks after that big climators drop
- 34:21Speaker 21: probably look a little FULLI train, and they probably should
- 34:23Speaker 21: kept their money in the market.
- 34:24Speaker 9: Honestly.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Well, yeah, the hysteria was just absolutely crazy. And it
- 34:31Speaker 3: must be said too that so many Americans really didn't
- 34:35Speaker 3: care about those massive share market falls, because, as we
- 34:39Speaker 3: discussed earlier in the week, about fifty percent of Americans,
- 34:44Speaker 3: the bottom fifty percent, hold only one percent of the
- 34:48Speaker 3: share market value.
- 34:49Speaker 5: So for them this issue was far.
- 34:53Speaker 3: More about manufacturing jobs and seeing their towns and cities
- 34:56Speaker 3: decimated than it was about whether a few billion has
- 35:00Speaker 3: lost some money the markets have certainly sawed.
- 35:05Speaker 5: In the past day.
- 35:06Speaker 3: The sp five hundred added nine and a half percent,
- 35:09Speaker 3: in its biggest gain since two thousand and eight. The
- 35:13Speaker 3: dowd Joones industrial average that jumped up seven point nine percent,
- 35:17Speaker 3: and all of this has got Democrat Adam Schiff wondering
- 35:20Speaker 3: about insider trading, writing to the.
- 35:23Speaker 9: White House a demand who knew in advance that the
- 35:26Speaker 9: President was going to once again flip flop on trip
- 35:28Speaker 9: on tariffs?
- 35:30Speaker 2: And are people cashing in now?
- 35:32Speaker 3: He cares about insider trading? But Josh, didn't Donald Trump
- 35:35Speaker 3: post a message hours before this latest announcement telling everyone
- 35:40Speaker 3: it's a great time to buy buy.
- 35:43Speaker 5: I mean, really, what investigation is needed? What's Adam Schiff
- 35:46Speaker 5: got to find out?
- 35:49Speaker 21: I have no idea what shifty Adam Schiff thinks he's
- 35:51Speaker 21: going to find out on this one.
- 35:53Speaker 2: I mean this as a screenshot.
- 35:55Speaker 21: That you just share, it shows Donald Trump was basically
- 35:57Speaker 21: telling the world like wink, wink, nudge, you know, this
- 35:59Speaker 21: is going to be a very good day.
- 36:01Speaker 2: By the way, it.
- 36:01Speaker 21: Was very easy to see this coming. I mean, at
- 36:04Speaker 21: least in my circles here in America, most of us
- 36:08Speaker 21: thought that something like this was going to happen at
- 36:10Speaker 21: some point this week. I think a lot of people
- 36:12Speaker 21: thought that this was not necessarily going to continue at
- 36:14Speaker 21: that rapid pace, that this kind of bowl charging right
- 36:17Speaker 21: out of the gate this style for the next two
- 36:19Speaker 21: three months. I mean, something clearly had to change.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Again.
- 36:22Speaker 21: There were a lot of signs in this Even Donald
- 36:23Speaker 21: Trump's cabinet was not exactly thoroughly polease in the same pager,
- 36:27Speaker 21: so we knew that something was about to change. And
- 36:30Speaker 21: I mean, as as far as Adam Shiff, I mean,
- 36:32Speaker 21: it's very hard to take this guy seriously. I mean,
- 36:34Speaker 21: only in the state of California can someone with Adam
- 36:37Speaker 21: Shift's track record when it comes to the Russia collusion, delusion,
- 36:40Speaker 21: all the various hoaxes and just utter gobbledy.
- 36:43Speaker 2: That he's been peddling for years and years.
- 36:44Speaker 21: Only in the communist state of California could a hooligan
- 36:47Speaker 21: like that ever be promoted from US congressman to US Center.
- 36:50Speaker 21: I pity the people of California. Frankly, it's people like
- 36:53Speaker 21: Adam Shiff and Gavin Newsman and Kamala Harris that have
- 36:55Speaker 21: just turned that state into Bush.
- 36:57Speaker 2: And now I guess we see a little bit of
- 36:59Speaker 2: brain mush. The case may be from shifty outam shift.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I mean for him to talk about insider training, in particular,
- 37:08Speaker 3: given how well some of those Democrats have done in
- 37:11Speaker 3: public office, went into public office with next to nothing
- 37:14Speaker 3: and end up being extremely wealthy on fixed salaries, and
- 37:18Speaker 3: you look at that and wonder how that happens.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Now.
- 37:21Speaker 5: I do love this story. We'd love to get your
- 37:23Speaker 5: take on this one. The New York.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Post reports the White House will no longer respond to
- 37:28Speaker 3: reporters who list their preferred gender pronouns in their email signatures.
- 37:34Speaker 3: White House pro Secretary Caroline Leavitt has said that she
- 37:38Speaker 3: doesn't respond to journalists with these sorts of pronoun announcements
- 37:42Speaker 3: because and I quote it shows they ignore scientific realities
- 37:47Speaker 3: and therefore ignore facts. That's very excellent logic as far
- 37:52Speaker 3: as I can see.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Josh, I love it. I mean I don't just like it.
- 37:57Speaker 2: I love it.
- 37:58Speaker 21: This is frankly very similar to what they did to
- 38:00Speaker 21: the Associated Press when they basically kick them out of
- 38:03Speaker 21: a certain area of the White House Briefing Room for
- 38:06Speaker 21: their inability or the refusal. I should say to adopt
- 38:09Speaker 21: the nomenclature Gulf of America instead of Gulf of Mexico there.
- 38:12Speaker 21: And look, there's a lot of people saying this is
- 38:15Speaker 21: an attack on the freedom of the press.
- 38:16Speaker 2: It's not an attack. Okay, it's not.
- 38:18Speaker 21: Attack whatsoever, because these stupid gender pronoun journalists can still
- 38:22Speaker 21: publish whatever idiocy they want to on their poorly, poorly read,
- 38:27Speaker 21: poorly disseminated, and poorly rated blocks. They can write whatever
- 38:30Speaker 21: they want. The point is, you're not going to get
- 38:32Speaker 21: a question there.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Guess what. You don't have a.
- 38:33Speaker 21: First Amendment right to have the White House Press secretary
- 38:36Speaker 21: ask you a question. I mean, that's an insane notion.
- 38:39Speaker 21: Anyone anyone arguing that should probably go, you know, go
- 38:42Speaker 21: find another job because you're not very good this whole
- 38:45Speaker 21: journalism thing there. But this is, this is what this
- 38:47Speaker 21: White House is doing. They're not messing around basically any
- 38:50Speaker 21: which way you look at it. When it comes to
- 38:51Speaker 21: foreign policy, when it comes to the trade issue, obviously,
- 38:54Speaker 21: as we've been discussing there, when it comes to immigration,
- 38:57Speaker 21: the ice rays on issue after issue after issue, going
- 39:00Speaker 21: up to and including the literal way they actually run
- 39:02Speaker 21: this White House. They're not messing around. They learned their
- 39:05Speaker 21: lessons the first time around. Reader, the first from White
- 39:08Speaker 21: House was beset by a lot of internal coups and
- 39:10Speaker 21: dissidents and outside actors. We're just trying to basically subvert
- 39:15Speaker 21: the entire edifice. They've learned their lessons, though, and we
- 39:18Speaker 21: see that very much now this time around.
- 39:22Speaker 5: We absolutely do.
- 39:23Speaker 3: It seems like everyone is on the same page and
- 39:26Speaker 3: fighting for the same side. Just one last thing we're
- 39:32Speaker 3: seeing this ninety day pause. Australia, i think, is in
- 39:36Speaker 3: a fairly unique position. We have a trade deficit with
- 39:40Speaker 3: a US, so we're one of the very few countries
- 39:43Speaker 3: in the world that has a trade deficit. We don't
- 39:45Speaker 3: impose tariffs. Do you see an advantageous outcome for us
- 39:50Speaker 3: after these ninety days where perhaps we might be exempted
- 39:53Speaker 3: completely from any sort.
- 39:54Speaker 5: Of tariff.
- 39:57Speaker 21: Reader my unsolicited advice to the present in his Economic Advisors,
- 40:01Speaker 21: A country like Australia, in my view, should should not
- 40:03Speaker 21: have any tariffs. I mean, Australia is an obvious ally
- 40:06Speaker 21: of the United States. Australia is very useful to the
- 40:08Speaker 21: United States. Frankly when it comes to containing America's own enemy, China.
- 40:12Speaker 21: I'm thinking here of countries like Australia, Japan, Philippines, India.
- 40:16Speaker 21: Those are really kind of the lynchpins of America's broader
- 40:18Speaker 21: strategy in that part of the world there. So I mean,
- 40:21Speaker 21: while I'm all in on the tariffs on China, I
- 40:23Speaker 21: do have some questions on tariffs on countries that are
- 40:26Speaker 21: not America's enemies, for instance there. I mean Canada would
- 40:28Speaker 21: be one example here. I'm a little bit fuddled by
- 40:31Speaker 21: by some of the Canada stuff.
- 40:32Speaker 2: That I hear there.
- 40:33Speaker 21: But I think I would personally like to see a
- 40:35Speaker 21: world in which Australia and the United States do not
- 40:37Speaker 21: have any tariffs, that there is free and fair trade
- 40:39Speaker 21: between our two respective countries there, especially in the fact that,
- 40:42Speaker 21: as you said, Australia is a wealthy country actually has
- 40:45Speaker 21: a trade definitely with the United States, which it really is.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Actually quite rare.
- 40:50Speaker 5: It is very rare in day. Josh Hamba, thanks for
- 40:52Speaker 5: your time. Thank you, da still to come.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Ego fluffing and a vapid lesson in self love the
- 40:59Speaker 3: lights On Megan Markle's Woeful podcast. Kinsey Scofield has details.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Welcome back.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Joining me now is celebrity and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield.
- 41:19Speaker 5: Kinsey, we know Disney's snow.
- 41:21Speaker 3: White has been a box office disaster. But let's check
- 41:25Speaker 3: in with the star of the movie, Rachel Zegler being
- 41:29Speaker 3: totally normal here, Kinsey, what is the latest on the
- 41:50Speaker 3: film's box office performance.
- 41:55Speaker 12: I'd say that this is one of Disney's biggest regrets ever.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Mean checked, We've discussed it before.
- 42:02Speaker 12: I checked Rotten Tomatoes and the score is even lower
- 42:06Speaker 12: than the last time we talked forty percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
- 42:10Speaker 12: Initially brought it brought in eighty seven million globally, and
- 42:14Speaker 12: you know, the Lion King hit one hundred and ninety
- 42:17Speaker 12: one million, Beauty and the Beast at one hundred and
- 42:19Speaker 12: seventy four million.
- 42:21Speaker 1: What a joke.
- 42:23Speaker 12: And you know other movie companies are going to look
- 42:26Speaker 12: at her and they're going to say box office poison.
- 42:29Speaker 1: And it's a lot of this is due to her
- 42:31Speaker 1: behavior leading up to the film's release.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Absolutely, she is just uniquely unlikable. But then it is
- 42:41Speaker 3: actually a terrible film as well, so it's it's the
- 42:44Speaker 3: double whammy. Now let's talk about Megan Markl. Her podcast,
- 42:49Speaker 3: Confessions of a Female Founder has been lashed by the critics,
- 42:53Speaker 3: who have condemned it as a vapid lesson in self
- 42:57Speaker 3: love and an ego fluffy coll sation. Perhaps one of
- 43:01Speaker 3: the most gathing reviews came from the Times, whose columnist
- 43:04Speaker 3: James Marriott gave it one star and said he will
- 43:08Speaker 3: seize by an urge to beat his head against the
- 43:11Speaker 3: wall while listening to it. These reviews are almost reminiscent
- 43:17Speaker 3: of snow White Kinsey.
- 43:20Speaker 1: That's a very good point. I do believe that it's
- 43:23Speaker 1: fair to.
- 43:23Speaker 12: Compare Rachel and Rachel Megan Markle, but that's.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Her legally her name.
- 43:29Speaker 12: I don't know if you've had a chance to listen
- 43:31Speaker 12: to this podcast, but what a missed opportunity, What a
- 43:36Speaker 12: waste of oxygen, what a waste of our time. If
- 43:39Speaker 12: I'm being quite honest with you, how many people are
- 43:42Speaker 12: going to give this woman a do over.
- 43:46Speaker 1: I've never seen.
- 43:47Speaker 12: Somebody fail up as much as they've seen Megan Markle
- 43:50Speaker 12: fail up.
- 43:51Speaker 1: And there is just little to no effort.
- 43:53Speaker 12: Everything she does is just she finds people to interview
- 43:57Speaker 12: that will actuality interview her, so Megan gets the opportunity
- 44:02Speaker 12: to talk about herself. She did rank in the top
- 44:06Speaker 12: ten in you in the US and Canada, but those
- 44:09Speaker 12: were the only countries, and of course did not meet
- 44:12Speaker 12: that Joe Rogan domination that she initially did with that
- 44:16Speaker 12: first episode of Archetypes.
- 44:18Speaker 1: So I feel like people are so over her.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, the novelty factor wore off long ago. Meanwhile,
- 44:28Speaker 3: we've got Prince Harry escorted from a High Court hearing
- 44:31Speaker 3: about his security arrangements today and it was shielded by
- 44:36Speaker 3: burly bodyguards after an agitated supporter disrupted proceedings. As he
- 44:41Speaker 3: passed this woman on his way out, she suddenly shouted out,
- 44:46Speaker 3: indistinctly what appeared to be I support you, Prince Harry,
- 44:51Speaker 3: before then turning to the press gallery and saying if
- 44:54Speaker 3: you're members of the press, you're the reason he's not
- 44:57Speaker 3: in England. The woman a small, shaved headed, bald headed black.
- 45:03Speaker 5: Woman, look to be in her fifties.
- 45:06Speaker 3: She's attracted attention after arriving late to the public gallery
- 45:09Speaker 3: and repeatedly shifting in her seat and fiddling and fidgeting
- 45:13Speaker 3: with two phones in a notebook. Tell me about this
- 45:16Speaker 3: so called security scare. It doesn't sound like too much
- 45:19Speaker 3: of a security scare to me.
- 45:21Speaker 12: I mean, it's perfect for Prince Harry, who's over there
- 45:24Speaker 12: begging for the UK government and.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Taxpayers to pay for his security. I just I think
- 45:29Speaker 1: it's one of.
- 45:30Speaker 12: Those overblown, hyped moments that Prince Harry lives for so
- 45:33Speaker 12: he can say, see, I'm in jeopardy.
- 45:36Speaker 1: There's concern for me.
- 45:39Speaker 12: I was very frustrated with this because this is the
- 45:42Speaker 12: King's first state visit in twenty twenty five, since this
- 45:47Speaker 12: cancer scared. We should be talking about the King in
- 45:50Speaker 12: Italy and his secret meeting with the Pope and all
- 45:52Speaker 12: of those exciting details his twentieth anniversary with Camilla, and
- 45:56Speaker 12: yet here we are talking about the ginge and the
- 45:59Speaker 12: wind who loved to hijack actual royal news.
- 46:05Speaker 3: I can't believe this is presented as any sort of
- 46:08Speaker 3: evidence that he needs more security.
- 46:10Speaker 5: I mean, this was a.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Supporter after all, And it was interesting that on x
- 46:16Speaker 3: Harry Smullett was being shared. It was a hashtag that
- 46:21Speaker 3: I saw pop up a few times, so I don't
- 46:23Speaker 3: know if it was trending, but it was certainly one
- 46:25Speaker 3: that I saw a few times. Now, let's talk about
- 46:27Speaker 3: Britney Spears. She's apparently ended her on again off again
- 46:31Speaker 3: relationship with Paul Richard Solas, and she keeps posting these
- 46:37Speaker 3: bizarre videos online. Kinsey, I can understand why her fans
- 46:41Speaker 3: are a little bit concerned.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I can understand that too.
- 46:45Speaker 12: I would also stress that I'm so glad she's done
- 46:48Speaker 12: with this guy.
- 46:50Speaker 1: You know, he's got a bunch of children.
- 46:51Speaker 12: He allegedly left one of his baby mamas for Brittany
- 46:54Speaker 12: and she found out about it in the media.
- 46:57Speaker 1: He was her employee. I think he was like a fix.
- 47:01Speaker 12: It man around her mansion and she said, hey, you
- 47:04Speaker 12: want to be my boyfriend. I don't really feel like
- 47:07Speaker 12: that's the right way to go, especially immediately after a divorce. RITA,
- 47:12Speaker 12: this woman needs a friend, she needs some help, and
- 47:15Speaker 12: this guy, I think I'm so glad he's gone because
- 47:19Speaker 12: to me, he was clearly an opportunist and a leech.
- 47:24Speaker 3: Well, she seems to have a lot of leeches around her.
- 47:27Speaker 3: It's very sad because she doesn't have contact with I
- 47:30Speaker 3: think so many of her family members, including her boys,
- 47:33Speaker 3: her own children.
- 47:35Speaker 5: Now let's talk about.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Taylor Swift and her boyfriend NFL star Travis Kelsey. They've
- 47:40Speaker 3: reportedly decided to step out of the public eye as
- 47:44Speaker 3: a couple. Kelsey wants to focus on his football. The
- 47:48Speaker 3: Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl loss has been a bit
- 47:52Speaker 3: of a motivator there, and the couple have decided to
- 47:54Speaker 3: lay low with no longer being out and about as
- 47:59Speaker 3: much as they have been, Kinsey, is this because Taylor
- 48:02Speaker 3: got booed.
- 48:03Speaker 5: At the Super Bowl? Has that got anything to do
- 48:05Speaker 5: with this decision?
- 48:07Speaker 1: I mean, she was booed multiple times.
- 48:09Speaker 12: I can imagine that that did ultimately hurt her feelings.
- 48:13Speaker 12: But they had some pretty big losses last year. It
- 48:17Speaker 12: wasn't just the super Bowl, it was Kamala. Taylor was
- 48:20Speaker 12: all in in an embarrassingly, you know, over zealous way.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Taylor wanted Kamala to win.
- 48:27Speaker 12: So I felt like there were some pretty big losses
- 48:30Speaker 12: for the both of them last year and maybe they
- 48:32Speaker 12: just want to kind of lay low for a little
- 48:33Speaker 12: while after that humiliation.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Well, also the arrogance of her getting involved because it
- 48:41Speaker 3: has never really worked for her.
- 48:43Speaker 5: I remember she got involved a few.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Years back with a local race in Tennessee where she's from.
- 48:49Speaker 5: That's her home.
- 48:50Speaker 3: State, and even there it was completely ineffective. It's certainly
- 48:54Speaker 3: the Republican she was campaigning against one very comfortably. Think
- 49:01Speaker 3: she'd learn from that and stick to what she's good
- 49:03Speaker 3: at instead of alienating a portion of her fan base,
- 49:07Speaker 3: Kinsey Schofield, it's.
- 49:08Speaker 5: Always a pleasure.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Thanks for your time tonight and that's it for me.
- 49:12Speaker 3: I'll see you at nine pm tomorrow night for lefties
- 49:15Speaker 3: losing it up. Next is Newsnight.
