- 0:00Ezekiel chapter 21 Dear Lord, please be with us as we read
- 0:06through this chapter and help us to have our eyes opened.
- 0:11What you want to say to us? We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
- 0:17So this is titled Babylon as God's sword of judgment.
- 0:22Now, I'm going to let you in on something that I think this
- 0:27prophecy, maybe more future than it is, was fulfilled in the
- 0:34past. Granted, I know that there are
- 0:38things that were fulfilled in the past, but I will point out
- 0:42some reasons why I think this is about the future as we go along.
- 0:47So let's get started. Ezekiel says, the word of the
- 0:51Lord came to me, son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and
- 0:56preach against the sanctuary prophecy against the land of
- 1:01Israel and say to her, this is what the Lord says, I am against
- 1:06you. I will draw my sword from its
- 1:10sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.
- 1:16Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked.
- 1:21My sword will be unsheathed against everyone from South to
- 1:26north. Then all the people will know
- 1:29that I, the Lord, have drawn my sword from its sheath.
- 1:33It will not return again. So the very last thing that is
- 1:39stated, it will not return again.
- 1:45It leads me to question something.
- 1:48So then all the people will know that I, the Lord, have drawn my
- 1:51sword from its sheath. It will not return again.
- 1:55So it will not return again against Israel or it will not
- 2:01return again into the sheath. And the way I am taking this is
- 2:08that it will not return again to Israel.
- 2:12But we know that there is the great tribulation that will be
- 2:17coming forth in Israel. And if we think about the the
- 2:22end times, it still is the same reason that there that there's
- 2:31punishment, that there's wrath, and it's because of idolatry.
- 2:35And so somebody might say, why idolatry?
- 2:37Well, maybe it's not actually happening just yet, but in the
- 2:43end times there will be some entity or something that people
- 2:51who are present at that time will have to pledge allegiance
- 2:55to. And if they don't, they will be
- 2:58killed and they will have to take a mark that a false prophet
- 3:03will force them, a religious figure will force them to
- 3:07receive this false mark or I don't know, this, this mark,
- 3:13whatever it is, there's a lot of speculation about what that will
- 3:16be anyway. So it I just, I just think for
- 3:25this reason and because it says it will never return again, I
- 3:29think when Jesus comes back, he is going to, there will be wrath
- 3:37and there will be a remnant of Israel, 144,000 that will be
- 3:43saved. But that's not all of Israel.
- 3:46There's 12,000 from each tribe. There are going to be a lot of
- 3:49people who will not be saved. There will be a lot of people
- 3:53who will take the mark of the beast.
- 3:55And why do you think he calls that, you know, Sodom and Egypt,
- 4:02where the Lord was crucified in the Book of Revelation?
- 4:06Well, that's Jerusalem. And why do you think he calls it
- 4:09that? Because Egypt worships a lot of
- 4:13different gods. And then there's also, I guess
- 4:17Sodom is more representative of immorality.
- 4:21And so it's a combination of those, which we could say that
- 4:25is prevalent throughout the whole world right now.
- 4:28Not everyone, but you know, it's it's around the whole world.
- 4:32There's probably no place in the world that doesn't have that
- 4:35going on. So anyway, that's an OK.
- 4:39So the other thing that was that I questioned right away was the
- 4:45statement that says I will draw my sword from its sheath and it
- 4:50will cut off from it will cut off from you both the righteous
- 4:54and the wicked. And it says my sword will be
- 4:58against everyone from South to north.
- 5:02And so that was another thing that I, that I kind of struggled
- 5:05with because, you know, in prior chapters we were talking about
- 5:11how a parent will not be responsible for their children's
- 5:16sins or their children will not be responsible for their parents
- 5:20sin. Each person will be judged on
- 5:23their own. And we also know that in the
- 5:26past, God has protected those that he, you know, those who had
- 5:35their a, that were considered righteous, like Noah, for
- 5:40example. Noah was 1.
- 5:42And so there's something that you kind of struggle with in
- 5:46this. And I did find one when I was
- 5:49searching and I didn't save it, but it showed where they're in
- 5:54the Septuagint. It actually had some different
- 5:57words. But then most of the Bible
- 6:01translations do say both the righteous and the wicked.
- 6:05So I have a theory about this, but I'm going to read what the
- 6:09others say first and before the theory that I have on this.
- 6:15So the study Bible says why prophecy against the South?
- 6:20This is a prophecy against Jerusalem and Judah though he
- 6:24was an exile in Babylon. Ezekiel was speaking
- 6:27rhetorically here as if actually that was from the prior chapter.
- 6:32OK, I actually have another comment about this too because
- 6:38the other thing we don't know is how all of these word of the
- 6:44Lord, each time Ezekiel says the word of the Lord came to me.
- 6:49Did he document this like a book?
- 6:52Was it in sequential order or was it out of order?
- 6:57Because if it was in sequential order, by date, he was already
- 7:03exiled into Babylon, so why would he be prophesying against
- 7:09Jerusalem that the sword was going to come against them?
- 7:14I guess there were a couple of times that Babylon went back to
- 7:18Jerusalem because there were two sets of exiles that came out of
- 7:24Jerusalem. So perhaps it could be that.
- 7:27But there's just some things in here that we, I will point out
- 7:31as we get to them that really seem like it's more likely a
- 7:37double fulfilled prophecy where some of it happened during
- 7:42Ezekiel's time and then some of it is yet to come again.
- 7:47Just because that one, that one verse so far says it will not
- 7:52return again, the sword. And we know that there's future
- 7:56prophecy that the sword's coming out again when Jesus returns.
- 8:01So that's another reason why I think this could be future
- 8:06anyway. OK, so verse 6 says therefore
- 8:13grown son of man grown before them with oh, actually I need to
- 8:18read the things about the both the righteous and the wicked.
- 8:21So I did look that up. So this is from biblehub.com and
- 8:28it says because I will cut off both the righteous and the
- 8:32wicked. This phrase indicates a divine
- 8:35judgment that is indiscriminate, affecting both the righteous and
- 8:40the wicked. In the context of Ezekiel, this
- 8:44reflects the severity of God's judgment on Jerusalem and Judah
- 8:48due to their persistent sin and rebellion.
- 8:52The inclusion of the righteous in this judgment highlights the
- 8:57communal nature of sin and its consequences, as well as the
- 9:01idea that the righteous may suffer alongside the wicked in
- 9:06times of national judgment. This can be compared to the
- 9:10story of Noah, where the righteous were preserved through
- 9:14judgement, and to the intercession of Abraham for
- 9:18Sodom, where the presence of the righteous could have spared the
- 9:23city. But there's also the point that,
- 9:27and this is not part of the Bible Hub's commentary, but
- 9:30there's the part where Abraham had prayed for Lot and Lot was
- 9:35taken out of it like he had it was all around him.
- 9:38In fact, Lot got removed before Sodom and Gomorrah was
- 9:42destroyed, Lot and his two daughters.
- 9:46So it does seem like God does spare some people.
- 9:53And just like Ezekiel in the very beginning when he had to
- 9:56enact these things with when he cut his hair and a third were,
- 10:01you know, destroyed by fire, 1/3 were destroyed by the sword and
- 10:07a third I think were put in his garment.
- 10:10Like the the remnant. There were some that were spared
- 10:14and God does spare those some people.
- 10:18And just because someone is righteous or following the Lord
- 10:23does not mean that they won't experience hardships because
- 10:28there is evil that will come against the righteous people and
- 10:34but God will be with the righteous people as they go
- 10:38through it. So it's it's a really
- 10:42complicated. There's a lot of pieces to this,
- 10:46but let's see. There's a few more paragraphs on
- 10:49Bible hub to talk about my sword will be unsheathed.
- 10:53The imagery of the sword is a common biblical metaphor for
- 10:57divine judgment and warfare. In ancient Near Eastern culture,
- 11:02the sword was a symbol of power and authority.
- 11:05The unsheathing of the sword signifies the readiness and
- 11:08eminence of God's judgement. This metaphor is also seen in
- 11:12other prophetic books, such as Isaiah and Jeremiah, where the
- 11:17sword represents God's instrument of punishment.
- 11:21The unsheathing of the sword can be seen as a precursor to the
- 11:25coming of Christ, who will ultimately judge the nations
- 11:30with the sword of his mouth as described in Revelation.
- 11:34That's exactly what I'm talking about.
- 11:35That's why I wonder if this is future because it says the
- 11:39swords would not return again. OK then, the Bible hub says,
- 11:45against everyone from South to north.
- 11:48This phrase indicates the comprehensive nature of judgment
- 11:51affecting the entire land of Israel from South to north.
- 11:55Geographically, this encompasses the whole territory, signifying
- 11:59that no part of the nation will be spared.
- 12:02Historically, this reflects the invasions by Babylon, which came
- 12:06from the north and swept through the land.
- 12:08The phrase also underscores the totality of God's judgment,
- 12:12leaving no one untouched. This can be connected to the day
- 12:17of the Lord, a theme in prophetic literature words God's
- 12:21judgment is universal and all-encompassing.
- 12:25The direction from South to north may also symbolize the
- 12:29reversal of Israel's fortunes as they were initially brought into
- 12:33the land from the South during the Exodus.
- 12:38So then there was a Bible hermeneutics that website that I
- 12:45went to that talked about the answers from this verse.
- 12:51And so the verse that we're talking about says and say to
- 12:54the land of Israel, thus say the saith the Lord, Behold, I am
- 12:58against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his
- 13:01sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the
- 13:05wicked. Why are the righteous cut off
- 13:07together with the wicked? The answers 1st.
- 13:11Cutting off the righteous and wicked is not quite as bad as it
- 13:15first sounds. The righteous have an eternal
- 13:19reward, and the wicked do not. Second, the wicked of some the
- 13:25wickedness of some places. Jerusalem in this had become so
- 13:30exceedingly great that this was the only option left for divine
- 13:35Providence. And then it has a couple.
- 13:40OK, it says. Note the comments of the Jameson
- 13:44Fawcett Brown Bible commentary. It says righteous, wicked, not
- 13:49contradictory of Ezekiel 18 verses 4 and 9 and Genesis 1823.
- 13:55Ezekiel here views the mere outward aspect of the
- 13:59indiscriminate universality of the national calamity, but
- 14:04really the same captivity to the righteous would prove a
- 14:07blessing, as a wholesome discipline, which to the wicked
- 14:12would be an unmitigated punishment.
- 14:15The godly were sealed with a mark, Ezekiel 94, not for an
- 14:20outward exemption from the common calamity, but as marked
- 14:25for the secret interpositions of prominence over ruling even evil
- 14:30to their good. The godly were by comparison so
- 14:34few that not their salvation but their universality of the
- 14:39judgment is brought into view here.
- 14:42OK, that one, the godly we're sealed with a mark in Ezekiel
- 14:4894. I have to look back at that one
- 14:51too, because in the the Book of Revelation there is an Angel
- 14:55that goes out and seals those. I believe it's probably the
- 15:00144,000 before the the angels who are withholding the winds at
- 15:05the corners of the earth. Let it loose and it goes among
- 15:10all the people. So I'm looking up this verse
- 15:13that is referenced here, Ezekiel 94, and it says Ezekiel 94.
- 15:26Then the Lord called to the man clothed in linen who had the
- 15:30writing kit at his side and said to him, go throughout the city
- 15:33of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who
- 15:36grieve and lament over the detestable things that are done
- 15:39in it. OK, that makes sense.
- 15:41So we did talk about that in that chapter.
- 15:44I forgot about it. And then I also mentioned the
- 15:47Angel from Revelation 7 where the Angel did the same thing.
- 15:51So it's like a again a double fulfillment prophecy and then
- 15:57Ellicott provides more detail the righteous and the wicked.
- 16:00This explains the green tree and the dry of Ezekiel 20 verse 47
- 16:06and quote all flesh of Ezekiel 21 four through 5 corresponds to
- 16:13all faces of the same. These expressions are meant to
- 16:17show the universality of the approaching desolation.
- 16:21The actual separation in God's sight between the righteous and
- 16:24the wicked has already been plainly set forth in nine
- 16:28verses, 4 through 6. But still, in this, as in all
- 16:33national judgments, the innocent must of necessity be involved in
- 16:37the same temporal sufferings with the guilty.
- 16:41The general terms of this prophecy are to be limited by
- 16:44what is elsewhere said of the mercy which shall be shown to a
- 16:49remnant. Indeed, on this side of history,
- 16:51we know now that we know that a remnant of Israel was saved and
- 16:56has survived until the present. So that is, that is what a
- 17:03couple of the Bible study commentary say.
- 17:09There's a thought that I had that I didn't find anywhere
- 17:12because I was asking this same question.
- 17:16But there's another way of looking at this too.
- 17:19First of all is because of Jeremiah, who was a prophet
- 17:23before Ezekiel and Jeremiah told everyone who stayed in Jerusalem
- 17:31that they would fall by sword. There was a prophecy that
- 17:34Jeremiah gave that said that every single that every person
- 17:39who stayed will fall by the sword.
- 17:43But then God's word basically said for the others to go to
- 17:50Babylon and settle there. And I can't remember what
- 17:53chapter that was, but Jeremiah did say everyone who stayed in
- 17:58Jerusalem would be killed. And, and I think that maybe it
- 18:05was Jeremiah 39 because in Jeremiah 39, verse 18, God says,
- 18:10I will save you, you will not fall by the sword, but will
- 18:14escape with your life because you trust in me, declares the
- 18:18Lord. See, there are so few people.
- 18:21It was kind of like the times of Elijah when there were basically
- 18:27no prophets that were speaking truth anymore.
- 18:31And I don't know if it was Elijah, it was somebody.
- 18:33No, it was somebody else who was actually hiding the true
- 18:37prophets of God because Jezebel and Ahab had false prophets of
- 18:42God and they were actually killing the true prophets of
- 18:45God. So there was, there's always
- 18:48like some that are spared. And again, Jeremiah was the one
- 18:55he's, you know, he said, but I will rescue you on that day,
- 18:58declares the Lord. You will not be given into the
- 19:01hands of those you fear. So, and this was, you know about
- 19:10it was about the capture, those that were going to go into
- 19:14captivity. So I like I said, I didn't have
- 19:19this one called up followed by the sword.
- 19:25I don't Let's see, I can see if it's in Jeremiah 3417.
- 19:30He says, therefore this is what the Lord says, You have not
- 19:32obeyed me, you have not proclaimed freedom to your own
- 19:36people, so I now proclaim freedom for you, declares the
- 19:40Lord, freedom to fall by the sword, plague and famine.
- 19:43I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth.
- 19:47He was talking to. At this one there was a warning
- 19:52to Zedekiah and I'm trying to see what the other ones were.
- 20:01It was the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah.
- 20:06And let's see, I'll just I'll just read this.
- 20:13I'm not sure if this is the then the word of the Lord came to
- 20:18Jeremiah. This is what the Lord, the God
- 20:20of Israel says. I made a covenant with your
- 20:22ancestors when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the land,
- 20:25slavery. I said every 7th year each of
- 20:28you must free any fellow Hebrews who have sold yourself, who have
- 20:32sold themselves to you. After they have served you 6
- 20:36years, you must let them go free.
- 20:38Your ancestors, however, did not listen to me or pay attention to
- 20:41me recently. You repented and did what was
- 20:45right in my sight. Each one of you proclaimed
- 20:48freedom to your own people. You even made a covenant before
- 20:52me in the house that bears my name.
- 20:54But now you have turned around and profane my name, and each of
- 20:59you has taken back the male and female slaves you would set free
- 21:03to go where they wished. You have forced them to become
- 21:06your slaves again. Therefore, this is what the Lord
- 21:09says. You have not obeyed me.
- 21:11You have not proclaimed freedom to your own people.
- 21:13So now I proclaim freedom. Quote a quote freedom for you
- 21:18declares the Lord freedom to fall by sword, plague and
- 21:20famine. I will make you abhorrent to all
- 21:23the kingdoms of the earth. So this isn't the specific part
- 21:27where Jeremiah tells them that everybody who stays in the city
- 21:33will be killed by the sword. So I, I don't know where that
- 21:40is, but I know it's in there somewhere anyway.
- 21:43So what I was getting at was both righteous and the wicked.
- 21:48If Jeremiah warned them and told them, that means that the, even
- 21:52though the, there might be some there that were righteous, they
- 21:56didn't listen. They didn't go into the exile
- 21:59because in the exile is where they could continue to live.
- 22:03And God just said, which was really strange.
- 22:06And people were not believing him because he was telling them,
- 22:09go with the enemy, live there and have families and, you know,
- 22:15farm and do all those things, build houses and all that.
- 22:19And that's what Jeremiah said. So are they truly righteous?
- 22:23I mean, they didn't listen to Jeremiah.
- 22:26God had already said that he was going to bring a sword against
- 22:29the people who were in Jerusalem.
- 22:31And now he's repeating it. I didn't see any of those Bible
- 22:34commentary say this, but it's like you have to remember what
- 22:38Jeremiah told them that if they stayed there, they were going to
- 22:42get they were they would suffer the sword.
- 22:46And another thing about righteous and wicked when we
- 22:50think about that is that righteousness doesn't
- 22:58necessarily keep us out of I don't know if it's like symbolic
- 23:06to show the people of Jerusalem their own works do not save
- 23:11them. I know that's that might be a
- 23:14little bit of a stretch there, but you know, it just like our
- 23:18own works do not save us, our righteous works do not save us.
- 23:23So a lot of people think that God when he judges is going to
- 23:27look at something like on a scale, but that's not the way it
- 23:30is. He doesn't look at it like more
- 23:32good than bad. There probably is some level of
- 23:37either rewards for those who are saved that will make a
- 23:42difference, but it doesn't make a difference as to salvation
- 23:51because salvation is only by Jesus dying on the cross and no
- 23:57person could do that. And Paul tells us that that that
- 24:03fact that the the only way we are saved by faith, faith in
- 24:08Jesus. Now obviously the people back at
- 24:10this time did not know Jesus. They I mean, Jesus wasn't
- 24:16physically present on earth until later till much later.
- 24:21So it wasn't like they were denying Jesus at this time.
- 24:24But and at the same time, I also wonder if this was something
- 24:31that was that would be thought of when they would eventually
- 24:37someday hear about Jesus. It would actually be their
- 24:41children. These people would not hear
- 24:43about Jesus because it was hundreds of years later before
- 24:46Jesus came. But that righteousness isn't
- 24:49going to exclude from judgement. And if this is about the end
- 24:57times and it's saying that both righteous and wicked will be
- 25:03will be judged, then it would make sense because people are
- 25:09trying to the people of Israel are trying to save themselves by
- 25:14their works and have denied Jesus.
- 25:18And if they've denied Jesus, then there's no way that they
- 25:24can be in God's Kingdom because Jesus is the only way.
- 25:29And so maybe this is also like a precursor to a future, which
- 25:35again, I think it is all right. Verse 6.
- 25:39Therefore grown Son of man, grown before them with a broken
- 25:44heart and bitter grief. And when they ask you, why are
- 25:48you groaning, you shall say, because of the news that is
- 25:53coming, every heart will melt with fear and every hand go
- 25:58limp. Every spirit will become faint,
- 26:02and every leg will be wet with urine.
- 26:06It is coming, it will surely take place declares the
- 26:10Sovereign Lord. So this was something else that
- 26:15I noticed just like some of the commentary said how well I'm
- 26:24just finding it like in Isaiah and Ezekiel that they both they
- 26:31both say this in Isaiah 13 seven, it says because of this,
- 26:34all hands will go limp, every heart will melt with fear.
- 26:39And in Isaiah 19 one, it says a prophecy against Egypt.
- 26:43See the Lord rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt.
- 26:49The idols of Egypt tremble, tremble before him and the
- 26:54hearts of the Egyptians melt with fear.
- 26:58This is when Jesus returns on the clouds, a prophecy against
- 27:03Egypt that Isaiah talked about in 19 one.
- 27:07This is when the wrath of God is coming.
- 27:09Everyone will see Jesus writing on the clouds.
- 27:13And so that's when the Egyptians will melt with fear.
- 27:18So again, this this language of about melting with fear and the
- 27:22hands going limp. I've noticed it a few times.
- 27:26Ezekiel's the only one who says that every leg will be wet with
- 27:30urine. There is I can't I mean these it
- 27:37I can't even imagine to be that fearful of what's happening that
- 27:44that would be the way that it's described.
- 27:47But that is what is prophesied. So in Isaiah 13, seven it it
- 27:55says again, this is where it says because of all this hands
- 28:00will all go limp. Every heart will melt with fear.
- 28:03The verse right before that says wail for the day of the Lord is
- 28:08near. It will come like destruction
- 28:11from the Almighty. The day of the Lord is the time
- 28:14of judgement. The verse after the one that
- 28:17talks about heart melting with fear says terror will seize
- 28:21them, pain and anguish will grip them.
- 28:23They will writhe like a woman in labor.
- 28:27They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame.
- 28:32See the day of the Lord, a cruel day with wrath and fierce anger
- 28:37to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.
- 28:44So that's something that the first time Jesus came, he came
- 28:48to save the sinners. The next time that Jesus comes
- 28:52is the time of wrath. So when people talk to other
- 28:56people about you need to get saved before Jesus returns.
- 29:02If you want to be in God's Kingdom, if you want to have a
- 29:07future relationship with God, you need to do something now.
- 29:11You need to ask Jesus to change your life and submit to him and
- 29:18and admit any of the sins that you are aware of and the Holy
- 29:23Spirit. Invite the Holy Spirit, tell
- 29:25Jesus that you want the Holy Spirit to come into your life
- 29:28because the Holy Spirit will change you and it'll be either a
- 29:33quick change or a gradual change.
- 29:36But if you mean it, if you say it, if you pray it to God, it
- 29:40will happen because God wants everyone saved.
- 29:44But we have to make that choice and everything is in place for
- 29:49us to be saved. In this Isaiah chapter where it
- 29:53talks about I mean the verse after the and destroy the
- 29:59sinners within it. The next verse is the stars of
- 30:02heaven and their constellations will not show their light.
- 30:06The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its
- 30:10light. Well, there are that's exactly
- 30:14what is described in the 6th seal in the Book of Revelation.
- 30:20And and you can see it there's like in Joel too.
- 30:23I can't even tell you like the so many different verses that
- 30:27I've looked up and what what actually caused me.
- 30:32This is interesting too, for I don't know if it'll be for you
- 30:36or not, but for me it was very interesting when when I finally
- 30:42decided that I didn't want to be a hypocrite anymore.
- 30:45I always called myself a Christian, but I didn't live
- 30:48like a Christian. And then I decided to get
- 30:51baptized. I was baptized as an infant, but
- 30:55when I decided to get baptized as an adult, it was because I
- 30:59was not going to live like a hypocrite any longer.
- 31:03The night that I did that, I started having what I'll call
- 31:06spiritual dreams, and they've continued since then.
- 31:09I don't ever know when they're coming.
- 31:11They just come and, and it was, it was, it showed me things.
- 31:17I was new to reading the Bible. I read the Bible for the first
- 31:20time in 2019. I got baptized 2 years later.
- 31:25And so I, I read. I was continuing to read but and
- 31:29study it, but I wasn't extremely familiar with it.
- 31:34And then in my dreams there would be things that I would see
- 31:38and then I would be like, is that in the Bible?
- 31:41And so I would look for it. Well, it was probably I let's
- 31:48see how many I think it might have, but now I can't remember
- 31:51when they were. Oh, actually, I know it was in
- 31:53April. So I got baptized in September
- 31:57and then in April, right after that, however many months that
- 32:01is, I had a dream, actually a rapture dream.
- 32:07And it was very extremely detailed and there was a lot in
- 32:12it that reflected things that I found in the Book of Revelation.
- 32:17But the one and I, I didn't even like I knew it was, I don't want
- 32:22to get into the whole dream, but there was 1 aspect of it.
- 32:28Right before Jesus came in the dream, everything went pitch
- 32:33black where you couldn't even see anything in front of your
- 32:35face. And, and so I was like, gosh, is
- 32:38that does it say that anywhere in the Bible?
- 32:41And so then I started looking and I started finding these
- 32:44these verses like this, the one I just read, the stars of heaven
- 32:47and their constellations will not show their light.
- 32:50The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its
- 32:53light. And then like I said in
- 32:55Revelation, it says that that happens right before Jesus
- 32:59returns. Well, that's what happened in my
- 33:01dream. I had a second dream, I think a
- 33:04week later, and it was, it was much shorter than the first one.
- 33:09It was almost like a scene and that exact same thing happened.
- 33:14Everything went pitch black. But in that dream then I was
- 33:17warning the people that I was with.
- 33:20I was like, don't worry, this is Jesus is coming right now and
- 33:24and to not have fear when everything went pitch black.
- 33:27And then a third dream that I had was, I don't know if it was
- 33:32like nine months later or something, I had a third dream.
- 33:36And quite honestly, I don't know if it was that that I saw my
- 33:41death or if it was a rapture. I did see myself ascend, but the
- 33:45same thing happened. The I didn't even record this
- 33:49until now. I'm kind of saying about it, but
- 33:52in this dream there was a, an alarm sounding and it was, it
- 33:59was like the National Weather Service.
- 34:01Then when they, they have a like, I don't know, monthly
- 34:07they, they alert people. And so that went off.
- 34:13That was first that went off and it was daylight outside in my
- 34:16dream. And then I heard this warning
- 34:18system alarm go off and immediately after that
- 34:23everything went pitch black. And then, you know, the next
- 34:28thing that happened was I was, well, I don't want to get into
- 34:33the dream or whatever, but at the end of the dream I started
- 34:38rising up and I knew I was going to meet the Lord at that point.
- 34:42So I've had three dreams like that and they were in 20/20/22
- 34:48and I guess January of 2023. So it was three years ago that I
- 34:54had the last dream, but I thought it was interesting that
- 34:57again, I had three dreams and it did match up with what is in the
- 35:03Bible. So I don't know how I got onto
- 35:07that subject, but I guess it's maybe about these, some of the
- 35:12wording here where it talks about, you know, the hearts
- 35:15melting with fear and every hand will go limp and every spirit
- 35:19will become faint and every leg will wet with urine.
- 35:22If people are not prepared, if they are not at peace with God
- 35:28when Jesus returns, this is the reaction that people will have.
- 35:33Now I'm not going to have this reaction.
- 35:35And I didn't in any of my dreams either.
- 35:38I was happy and I was, I was saying in my first dream I was
- 35:44like, Oh my God, this is real. Like, I mean, it's, it was
- 35:47amazing. Actually, what I saw was so
- 35:49incredible. It was the best dream I ever
- 35:52had. And I, I would love to go back
- 35:55to that again because it was, it was just it, it, there was so
- 35:58much happiness in it. It was awesome anyway, these
- 36:05these things that that they tell us, it's like if we are not at
- 36:11peace with God. And so it's so important to be
- 36:14at peace with God. And that's what I tend to talk
- 36:18about during these Bible studies because when you see things like
- 36:22this, I do think it's talking about the end time.
- 36:25And I think everybody needs to take this serious and prepare
- 36:29themselves. And once you're prepared, then
- 36:32you don't have anything to worry about.
- 36:33There's there's No Fear. You're not going to have the
- 36:35fear like is described in this book.
- 36:38So then I will, I guess, continue on to reading about
- 36:45these things. There was like the sword that I
- 36:47had searched a whole bunch of them.
- 36:49There are lots of verses you can I guess, look up or just word
- 36:55search sword and you'll learn a lot from that.
- 37:01I don't know if I really wanted to read all of those, but oh,
- 37:04probably so because I had, I don't even know.
- 37:08OK, this could be really long. Anyway, let's go back to Ezekiel
- 37:13chapter or verse 8. The word of the Lord came to me,
- 37:18son of man, prophecy, and say, this is what the Lord says.
- 37:22A sword. A sword sharpened and polished,
- 37:25sharpened for the slaughter, pointed, polished to flash like
- 37:31lightning. Shall we rejoice in the scepter
- 37:37of my royal son? The sword despises every such
- 37:42stick. Now here's another thing that is
- 37:46interesting. I'll read what the study Bible
- 37:47says. What is the scepter of God's
- 37:50royal son? The precise meaning of this
- 37:53phrase is not clear. The scepter probably refers to
- 37:57rule, government, or Kingdom. The royal son probably refers to
- 38:03the Davidic king. God may have been quoting the
- 38:08people who wondered if the Davidic king was still a
- 38:13legitimate source of hope. The Lord made it clear that even
- 38:18the king, that not even the king would be protected from God's
- 38:23sword of judgment. That actually, that explanation
- 38:28actually confuses me. I don't even because I was
- 38:32thinking of my royal son, I'm thinking of Jesus.
- 38:35Shall we rejoice in the scepter of my royal son?
- 38:39Well, scepter, the word for it is eights.
- 38:44I believe If that's the word that I no, it's not.
- 38:47That's not it. That's the the word for stick.
- 38:52I looked up a couple different words in here because the NIV
- 38:55version was a little confusing. And so I was looking up, I was
- 39:00trying to get back to the original Hebrew words to try to
- 39:03make sense of this verse because it was kind of confusing to me.
- 39:06Shall we rejoice in the scepter of my royal son?
- 39:10And then it says the sword despises every such stick.
- 39:15And that didn't make sense to me.
- 39:18So the sword despises every such.
- 39:22They use the word stick in the NIV.
- 39:24But another translation would be tree and you can see how tree
- 39:29and stick could be you know interchanged.
- 39:32But it makes sense if it says tree because trees are generally
- 39:38referred to their symbolic of people.
- 39:42Like an olive tree would be Israel.
- 39:47AI guess the Cedars are talk about like in Lebanon and
- 39:52there's different kinds of trees that represent different people
- 39:55groups. So that would make sense if it
- 39:58was saying the tree, the sword despises every such tree,
- 40:03meaning all the people of Israel.
- 40:05Should we rejoice in the scepter of my royal son in the rod like
- 40:10in the authority when Jesus comes because the sword is
- 40:13coming against everyone, every tree?
- 40:15Now that makes sense to me, but what I just read in the study
- 40:19Bible doesn't make sense to me. It says the sword is appointed
- 40:23to be polished, to be grasped with the hand.
- 40:26It is sharpened and polished, made ready for the hand of the
- 40:30Slayer. Cry out and wail, son of man,
- 40:34for it is against my people. It is against all the Princess
- 40:40of Israel. They are.
- 40:42So, you know, this wouldn't make sense the way that study Bible
- 40:46said, because it's talking about a Davidic king and we're, you
- 40:51know, Judah is being taken into exile.
- 40:56And I I don't know why they just didn't say Jesus.
- 41:00But if they're thinking about some future king, that's that
- 41:04just doesn't make sense because the end of the kings happened
- 41:07when they went to Babylon. First Assyria conquered northern
- 41:11Israel, and then Babylon conquered southern Israel.
- 41:16And after that, that's when the kings ended.
- 41:18Zedekiah was the Last King, so there was no future king other
- 41:24than Jesus, which again he will come in the end.
- 41:30So they are, they are thrown to the sword along with my people.
- 41:35Therefore beat your breast testing will surely come.
- 41:39And what if even the scepter which the sword despises, does
- 41:44not continue, declares the sovereign Lord?
- 41:47Here was another verse that really confused me.
- 41:50I was like what does that mean? There really isn't an
- 41:53explanation of it. But then I went back to the
- 41:55Hebrew and again, translations make things really confusing
- 42:01sometimes, so testing will surely come.
- 42:03That's good, I understand that. Then it says and what if the
- 42:08scepter which despises does not continue?
- 42:15I don't know if I really still had have this clear from.
- 42:21I think just the way it's translated confused me more.
- 42:23If I could read Hebrew I could probably understand it better,
- 42:27but what if this does not continue?
- 42:32I would. I don't know.
- 42:34I'm going to have to actually skip that one because it just
- 42:38doesn't make sense. Testing will surely come.
- 42:42So then, Son of Man, prophecy and strike your hands together.
- 42:46Let the sword strike twice, even three times.
- 42:50It is a sword for slaughter, a sword for great slaughter.
- 42:55Closing in on them from every side.
- 42:59Talking about Israel closing in on them from every side.
- 43:04Well that also sounds like future prophecy, like in Luke
- 43:09chapter 19 verse 43. It's Jesus said the days will
- 43:15come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against
- 43:20you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.
- 43:26They will dash you to the ground, you and the children
- 43:30within your walls. They will not leave one stone on
- 43:33another because you did not recognize the time of God's
- 43:38coming to you. So that is this is when Jesus
- 43:45was was going into the city of Jerusalem on the Colt and I can
- 43:53read more of it. He he said as he approached
- 43:58Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, if you,
- 44:04even you had only known on this day what would bring you peace,
- 44:11but now it is hidden from your eyes.
- 44:14The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an
- 44:18embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on
- 44:22every side. They will dash you to the
- 44:25ground, you and the children within your walls.
- 44:29They will not leave one stone on another because you did not
- 44:34recognize the time of God's coming to you.
- 44:39So that is that is really concerning right now because of
- 44:48what is happening in the Middle East.
- 44:49If you're not paying attention to that right now, it's 2026 and
- 44:55currently that seems to be happening.
- 44:59There's a lot of enemies. Israel has enemies on every
- 45:03side. There is talk of peace, but
- 45:05that's also scary because prophecy says when they all say
- 45:08peace and security, then comes sudden destruction.
- 45:12Iran is actually, it's very heightened right now that
- 45:17something is potentially going to happen between Iran and
- 45:23Israel and even maybe the United States.
- 45:26The United States is apparently positioning lots of ships and
- 45:34other strategic locations to protect its people.
- 45:41And Israel is concerned that Iran is about ready to do
- 45:47something drastic. And Iran is currently
- 45:51slaughtering its own people who are protesting and want to
- 45:56overthrow the existing Khomeini regime.
- 46:01But it I mean, it's it's in a huge turmoil and the people of
- 46:06Iran, unless this is political propaganda that we're seeing
- 46:11what little limited. I mean, because the Internet is
- 46:14actually down. So I don't know how this is
- 46:16circulating again, unless it's political propaganda intended to
- 46:20create a war, which it could very well do.
- 46:24But the people of Iran, I mean, I've heard numbers like 80,000
- 46:29have, you know, being killed and being held in warehouses where
- 46:33they're just slaughtered. And because they were
- 46:36protesting, they don't even have a trial or anything.
- 46:39And these are men, women, children.
- 46:42And they are the Iranians that are in the country.
- 46:47It's not another it's like internal conflict between
- 46:51Iranians and people are from Iran.
- 46:57If it's not propaganda, are saying, you know, help us, help
- 47:01us. And they're they're calling out
- 47:03to President Trump to do something.
- 47:05And we don't know what's going to happen.
- 47:08But Iran says, you know, if you do anything, then it's going to
- 47:11come back to you. So this is just not a good
- 47:14situation at all. We don't know how it's going to
- 47:16unfold. But we do know that Israel has
- 47:20an enemy of Iran. That is a big one.
- 47:25And the others that are part of Iran, like Hamas, Hezbollah, and
- 47:34there's another one, the hoodies, all of those, they're
- 47:38all kind of Iran proxies that do come against Israel.
- 47:44So Israel's pretty much surrounded by a lot of countries
- 47:48that don't really want Israel to exist.
- 47:52In fact, even in the United States, we have again, led by
- 47:57propaganda, people chanting to free Palestine and they're using
- 48:03quotes from the Bible misapplied where they're saying like from
- 48:07the river to the sea, they don't want Israel to be anymore.
- 48:10But that is actually kind of, it is mocking the Bible.
- 48:14They don't even know that they're saying words of the
- 48:16Bible because God actually said that's what Israel's land would
- 48:20be from the Tigris, Euphrates River to the sea.
- 48:25That's all the land that Israel will have and God's word is
- 48:30true. It will happen, but it will
- 48:33happen when Jesus returns. So we the things that are
- 48:37happening in the world right now, this is not a time to be
- 48:42lukewarm in your faith and to not know where you stand with
- 48:48Jesus. If you have things that are like
- 48:51sin separates us from Jesus. If you haven't repented of your
- 48:56sin and asked Jesus to do whatever he needs to do to make
- 49:00things right and that you will do whatever you need to do to
- 49:03make things right, you need to do that now.
- 49:06Because if anything happens, if we do get into some sort of a
- 49:10nuclear exchange, you don't, You don't know that we're not
- 49:14promised tomorrow. We don't know what's going to
- 49:17happen. And it's it the time right now
- 49:22is a risky time to not know about your eternal placement and
- 49:27reading in the book of Ezekiel is it just happens that we are
- 49:32here. I didn't choose this book for
- 49:35this time. It just worked out.
- 49:37I started in the book of Genesis and I've been working through
- 49:40and ironically, right now we're on the book of Ezekiel.
- 49:43But is that God's timing? You know, did he know that would
- 49:46be that way and want everybody to to get this message.
- 49:53So again another verse that is said by Jesus in is Luke chapter
- 50:0121 verse 20. When you see Jerusalem
- 50:05surrounded by armies, you will know that it's desolation is
- 50:11near. Then let those who are in Judea
- 50:15flee to the mountains. Let those in the city get out
- 50:19and let those in the country not enter the city.
- 50:23For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all
- 50:29that has been written. If we're going back to if
- 50:33Ezekiel if this is future think about this.
- 50:36Ezekiel was like in in 500 something BC.
- 50:41So this is thousands of years ago where this was written and
- 50:48again it here he Ezekiel says so that hearts may melt with fear.
- 50:53Verse 15 And the fallen be many. I have stationed the sword for
- 50:59slaughter at their gates. Look, it is forged to strike
- 51:04like lightning. It is grasped for slaughter.
- 51:08Slashed to the right, you sword, then to the left.
- 51:11Wherever your blade is turned, I too will strike my hands
- 51:15together, and my wrath will subside.
- 51:19I, the Lord have spoken, when I see things about wrath, I do
- 51:25think about the end times because that is why Jesus is
- 51:29going to return. The wrath of God is going to be
- 51:34on all the sinners, on all the repentant, on all the people who
- 51:39have not made themselves right with God.
- 51:42I don't want to be one of those people.
- 51:45So I have done what I have done to to make peace with God, you
- 51:54know, to repent and to ask God for the holy.
- 51:59I mean, I after I learned I mean to actually I think I've
- 52:03received the Holy Spirit before. I ask God for it.
- 52:05But now I just tell people, just tell Jesus you want the Holy
- 52:08Spirit because the Holy Spirit will change you.
- 52:10Because the Holy Spirit changed me when I didn't have a mentor
- 52:14or anybody telling me what to do in my faith walk at all.
- 52:18Mine just happened completely from reading the Bible where I
- 52:22was convicted of of my way of living and then I learned about
- 52:30the Holy Spirit through the Bible and I didn't want to be a
- 52:34hypocrite anymore. I wanted to get right with God.
- 52:37It was a repentant heart. Now I always knew about Jesus
- 52:42dying on the cross for our sins, but I the religion that I grew
- 52:49up with made it seem like I, I don't know.
- 52:53It wasn't clear that Jesus, Jesus's death on the cross and
- 52:57resurrection covers us and the sins that we have.
- 53:02So he, he made atonement for us. I mean without the shedding of
- 53:08blood there is no forgiveness of sin.
- 53:11We don't have to have the blood shed to have our sins forgiven
- 53:15because Jesus did that for us. However, repentance is critical.
- 53:21If you are continuing and keep on sinning, you have not
- 53:25repented. That's that's the thing.
- 53:28And I think repentance is something people don't
- 53:30understand. That is something that people,
- 53:36they think if they ask for forgiveness and then they're
- 53:39like, well, we're all sinners. I can't help myself.
- 53:41I just keep doing things that I don't want to do.
- 53:44And they use Paul's verse that says something like that, the
- 53:47one verse in the Bible, but everywhere else.
- 53:51I mean, that's negating the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 53:54That's why I always say to people like ask Jesus for the
- 53:58Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit gives power, gives
- 54:01courage. The Holy Spirit gives, gives,
- 54:06you know, it says with the flesh is weak, my spirit is strong.
- 54:10So the Spirit of God is what makes up the difference.
- 54:14And we can, we will have the power to overcome sin.
- 54:20Sometimes we don't want to do it.
- 54:23It's our choice. But it's not like we are forced
- 54:27to do that. We just, it just seems like
- 54:30people are so accepting of their sin and that they don't realize
- 54:39how serious it is to God. But when we start reading
- 54:43through the Old Testament and even the New Testament, because
- 54:46I just, I'm in the Old Testament right now, it's very apparent
- 54:50how much it, how important it is for to God that we repent, that
- 54:57we change our ways, that we turn away from sin, that we don't
- 55:01keep on sinning. In fact, in Hebrews, it says if
- 55:04you do keep on sinning, the only thing that you're going to be
- 55:08ready for is the wrath of God. And it says no one who has the
- 55:12Spirit will keep on sinning. So that's why I say you need the
- 55:16Holy Spirit. And, and it does start with a
- 55:18choice. You have to have a willingness
- 55:21to submit to God. God needs to be Lord over your
- 55:25life. You can't just keep on living
- 55:29however you want to live and say, well, Jesus died on the
- 55:31cross for me and I'm all good. And I think there's a lot of
- 55:34people who think that because it gets preached that way at
- 55:38churches. And I don't think that's what
- 55:41the Bible says. I mean, why would Jesus ever say
- 55:44that, you know, pick up your cross if you want to follow me.
- 55:48What kind of cross are we picking up if it's not that we
- 55:52have to say no to sinful things that we may have a desire to do?
- 55:59It's not. It's in the whole thing about
- 56:02works and grace that gets, you know, there's the the two sides
- 56:09of the argument on that. James in the book of James kind
- 56:13of explains that, you know, don't just say claim grace when
- 56:23it's convenient for you. Grace is the power to overcome
- 56:27sin and you will see someone who has a transformed life.
- 56:33That's what James talks about. If someone doesn't have a
- 56:36transformed life, do they have the Holy Spirit?
- 56:40That's a question. That's a question that if I if
- 56:45my life never changed, if I stayed the same and I never had
- 56:48this moment of of change in my life and I am continuing in sin.
- 56:54Then I would say some serious prayers to Jesus to open your
- 57:00eyes about whether or not you're saved.
- 57:03Because like I said, read it in the Bible and what I get from
- 57:07the Bible, it's not what I would necessarily hope to see because
- 57:13it does mean that there is there is something that we need to do
- 57:18it their decisions and we need to submit to God.
- 57:22God needs to be our our Lord. It's not that we just get to do
- 57:26whatever we want and then say, well, Jesus died on the cross.
- 57:29I can live the way I want. I mean, that is, gosh, that is
- 57:32not showing respect to God at all.
- 57:35That's that is I that's kind of appalling to me, honestly, if
- 57:41you think about what Jesus went through and to think that he
- 57:45would have gone through all of that just so that we could
- 57:50continue to live in sin. Do you think that makes any
- 57:54sense when it says that sin separates us from God?
- 57:59Jesus did it for mercy because the the corruption, I guess, of
- 58:07us that we cannot be perfect. But there's a difference between
- 58:14habitual sin and messing up every once in a while, or even
- 58:18even saying something rude to somebody that is not loving,
- 58:22because God wants us to be loving to somebody.
- 58:24And even if we just say something rude to somebody else
- 58:28or something negative or hurting somebody's reputation out of
- 58:33meanness or cruelty, that's the same like what Jesus referred to
- 58:38as murder. Like if we're saying evil things
- 58:41about a person harming their reputation or something like
- 58:44that, that's like murder. Well, all of us.
- 58:47I mean, we, we, the things that we think are nothing, they're a
- 58:51lot more important to God. And I think that's where Jesus
- 58:58gave us, you know, that's where God had mercy on us because of
- 59:02all of the wicked things we do. But if we don't make an effort
- 59:06to change our life and to see the things that God says are
- 59:12good as good, and to see the things that God says are evil as
- 59:17evil, we need to make, I think we need to agree with God's
- 59:23rules for his Kingdom. I mean, there are certain
- 59:27behaviors that God says are not going to be in the Kingdom and
- 59:32those behaviors we may struggle with, but the the Holy Spirit
- 59:36will give us the power to overcome them.
- 59:39So I've kind of gone way too long on that.
- 59:41I didn't intend to do this, but I think this is so serious about
- 59:47being prepared and being ready. And I know it's hard, but it's
- 59:53possible. And the Holy Spirit helps.
- 59:57But going through the Word of God, reading scripture will make
- 1:00:02it clear. And and pray to God, just ask
- 1:00:05him to reveal things or to open your eyes to things so that you
- 1:00:08can see the truth about all of this.
- 1:00:12OK so then verse 18 the word of the Lord came to me, son of man,
- 1:00:19mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take
- 1:00:23both starting from the same country.
- 1:00:26Make a signpost where the word where the road branches off to
- 1:00:30the city. Mark out one Rd. for the sword
- 1:00:33to come against Raba of the Ammonites, and another against
- 1:00:37Judah and fortified Jerusalem. For the king of Babylon will
- 1:00:42stop at the fork in the road at the junction of the two roads to
- 1:00:46seek an omen. He will cast lots with arrows.
- 1:00:51He will consult his idols. He will examine the liver.
- 1:00:55Into his right hand will come the lot for Jerusalem, where he
- 1:01:00is to set up battering Rams, to give the command to slaughter
- 1:01:05the sound, to sound the battle cry, to set up battering Rams
- 1:01:10against the gates, to build a ramp and to erect siege works.
- 1:01:14It will seem like a false omen to those who have sworn
- 1:01:20allegiance to him, but he will remind them of their guilt and
- 1:01:24take them captive. So there's a couple things here
- 1:01:28where I think this later on, the king of, well, Babylon, I guess.
- 1:01:34Nebuchadnezzar again, this is a question I have too.
- 1:01:38If, if Ezekiel's, if the book of Ezekiel was written in
- 1:01:43sequential order, this would not make sense because Babylon
- 1:01:47already took the people out of Israel.
- 1:01:52And so it it is confusing me in that regard.
- 1:01:57And we also know like in the end times that there's going to be a
- 1:02:02sworn allegiance to the beast system, which will be set up
- 1:02:11like 10 kings that don't have a Kingdom, but they will for a
- 1:02:14short while. They're going to be empowered by
- 1:02:16Satan. And so but people who have a
- 1:02:21sworn allegiance to him, it says it will seem like a false omen
- 1:02:26to those who have have sworn allegiance to him.
- 1:02:30So I do wonder if the king of Babylon, if this is actually
- 1:02:36spiritual, is it a double fulfillment?
- 1:02:40We're sure Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Babylon, but then
- 1:02:44spiritually, because we also have in the Book of Revelation a
- 1:02:48future quote, mystery Babylon. So is it spiritual?
- 1:02:55Is it a spiritual entity that influences multiple people?
- 1:03:01But it kind of like history repeats itself.
- 1:03:04That's something else that I've noticed in studying the Bible is
- 1:03:07that there is a lot of repetition.
- 1:03:10When you read the Bible, you can see, well, this happens, and
- 1:03:12then this happens and it just keeps repeating itself over and
- 1:03:16over again. And so I wonder if the king of
- 1:03:20Babylon is spiritual and if this thing was fulfilled at one point
- 1:03:26and this was something that Ezekiel had to do.
- 1:03:29I didn't even catch this the first time I read it that he was
- 1:03:32saying make a signpost where the road branches off to the city.
- 1:03:36Mark one Rd. for the sword to come against Rabba of the
- 1:03:39Ammonites and another against Judah and fortified Jerusalem.
- 1:03:44It I did look up and Babylon did first conquer Jerusalem and then
- 1:03:49they, they ravaged, I guess the Ammonites also.
- 1:03:55But the other interesting thing is that when Jesus returns, he
- 1:04:02also there's a prophecy about the Ammonites when he returns
- 1:04:06too, that he is they, they will not be spared.
- 1:04:09And so I, I don't know, this is it's in, I'm on Jordan today,
- 1:04:23but Edom escapes the Antichrist. So when I read this, I was
- 1:04:28thinking in this part of the prophecy, the king of Babylon,
- 1:04:33if he is spiritual, he goes against Jerusalem, but he
- 1:04:37doesn't go against the Ammonites.
- 1:04:39And we know from Daniel Chapter 11 verse 41 that Edom escapes
- 1:04:46the Antichrist and I don't I've lost my OK, so Daniel 1141 he
- 1:04:56will also invade the beautiful land.
- 1:04:59Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of
- 1:05:05Ammon will be delivered from his hand.
- 1:05:08So that is present day. Jordan will be delivered from
- 1:05:13his hand. He will extend his power over
- 1:05:15many countries. Egypt will not escape.
- 1:05:19He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and
- 1:05:22all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and the Kushites in
- 1:05:26submission. But reports from the east and
- 1:05:30the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to
- 1:05:35destroy and annihilate many. He will pitch his royal tents
- 1:05:40between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain.
- 1:05:44Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.
- 1:05:50So this is this is about the kings of the South and the
- 1:05:55North. And this is talking about I'll
- 1:05:59read the I should have read the paragraph or the verse before at
- 1:06:03the time of the end. So this is end times.
- 1:06:07The King of the South will engage him in battle, and the
- 1:06:12King of the North will storm out against him with Chariots and
- 1:06:17cavalry and a great fleet of ships.
- 1:06:20He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a
- 1:06:24flood. He will also invade the
- 1:06:26beautiful land that's the King of the North.
- 1:06:29That's what we're talking about. Who's going to have power in the
- 1:06:34end times. So is this a double fulfillment?
- 1:06:39Perhaps, Maybe, let's see. And then the sworn allegiance,
- 1:06:47like I said, it reminded me of the beasts and the allegiance to
- 1:06:50the beast. And then it says I'll read this
- 1:06:54statement again. It will seem like a false omen
- 1:06:58to those who have sworn allegiance to him.
- 1:07:01Like we're not going to get hurt by him because we have a sworn
- 1:07:04allegiance to him. So again, this is like trickery.
- 1:07:09But he will remind them of their guilt and take them captive.
- 1:07:15When I read that, I immediately thought about Satan because
- 1:07:18Satan is the accuser and he reminds people of their guilt
- 1:07:23and takes them captive. But when we confess our sins and
- 1:07:27we turn away from them, God remembers our sins no more.
- 1:07:32We don't have that guilt anymore.
- 1:07:34We are washed clean of our sins. That's what's so wonderful about
- 1:07:39God's mercy is that we don't have to live with that forever.
- 1:07:43It's the enemy of God who makes us think about that.
- 1:07:47And in Revelation chapter 12 verse 10, it says then I heard a
- 1:07:53loud voice in heaven say, now have come the salvation and the
- 1:07:58power and the Kingdom of our God and the authority of his
- 1:08:03Messiah, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters who accuses
- 1:08:09them before our God day and night has been hurled down.
- 1:08:14This is when Satan is thrown down to the earth and he is, the
- 1:08:20reason I'm reading it is because he's the accuser.
- 1:08:24So the guilt, the people think after they've repented of their
- 1:08:31sins and they've turned away from them, then sometimes people
- 1:08:35will start thinking, oh, but I did this, or I'm not worthy or
- 1:08:38those kinds of things. And that is the enemy.
- 1:08:42The enemy does that. He accuses people constantly.
- 1:08:45But that is something that we just need to recognize when it
- 1:08:51does happen there. OK, so back to Ezekiel verse 24.
- 1:08:59Therefore, this is what the sovereign Lord says, because you
- 1:09:02people have brought to mind your guilt by your open rebellion,
- 1:09:08revealing your sins in all that you do.
- 1:09:11Because you have done this, you will be taken captive.
- 1:09:16So this is like the enemy getting control here.
- 1:09:21And then it says something that's interesting is you
- 1:09:24profane and wicked Prince of Israel.
- 1:09:29So who is he talking about? And I wonder, is this talking
- 1:09:39about the false Messiah, you profane and wicked Prince of
- 1:09:44Israel? It says that it was Zedekiah in
- 1:09:50the Bible study, In Bible study notes, it says it was King
- 1:09:54Zedekiah because he was the Last King.
- 1:09:57But there's some, there's something that I want to point
- 1:10:00out that I also researched that I question if that's really
- 1:10:04true. And I think it may perhaps be a
- 1:10:07false Messiah at the end times, and I'll tell you why.
- 1:10:11So you profane and wicked Prince of Israel, whose day has come,
- 1:10:15whose time of punishment has reached its climax, that's
- 1:10:21another thing. God is very patient.
- 1:10:23It sounds like this is the end. It's reached its climax.
- 1:10:27This is what the sovereign Lord says.
- 1:10:29Take off the turban. Remove the crown.
- 1:10:33It will not be as it was. The lowly will be exalted and
- 1:10:38the exalted will be brought low. That's kind of the way.
- 1:10:41Jesus is in his authority. He.
- 1:10:46He does the opposite of what we are used to.
- 1:10:48The lowly will be exalted, and the exalted will be brought low.
- 1:10:54A rune. A rune.
- 1:10:56I will make it a rune. The crown will not be restored
- 1:11:00until he to whom it rightfully belongs shall come to him.
- 1:11:06I will give it. That seems to be Jesus that it's
- 1:11:11that it's talking about right now and there's something that
- 1:11:16you wouldn't probably. I just accidentally stumbled on
- 1:11:21this because I don't know what I was doing or what I was looking
- 1:11:26up, but when I looked up, I because there's a a turban and a
- 1:11:33crown. And so I looked up who wears A
- 1:11:40turban and a crown in Israel? And it says the high priest of
- 1:11:46Israel, Cohen Gadal, in biblical times wore a turban misnafit
- 1:11:53made of white linen with a gold plate sits, I don't know how to
- 1:11:59say that, acting as a crown fastened to the front, this
- 1:12:04attire signified his sacred duty in the Tabernacle and the
- 1:12:09temple, with the gold plate bearing the inscription holy to
- 1:12:14the Lord. OK, so it's a high priest that
- 1:12:19wears A turban and a crown. So then my next question,
- 1:12:24because the study Bible said Zedekiah was who this was
- 1:12:27talking about. I looked up, was Zedekiah a high
- 1:12:32priest? Zedekiah was not a high priest.
- 1:12:37He was the 20th and final king of Judah who reigned before the
- 1:12:43destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar.
- 1:12:45The second. While a minor thing figure named
- 1:12:50Zedekiah is mentioned in the siddar Olam Zuda as a high
- 1:12:54priest, the ruling king Zedekiah of the Bible was a political
- 1:12:59leader, not a religious one. So again, that reinforces a
- 1:13:05theory. I'm just asking.
- 1:13:06I don't I don't know because prophecy is not always clear,
- 1:13:10but I'm wondering is this wicked Prince, it's not Zedekiah.
- 1:13:14Is this the false Messiah who will come the false priest, the
- 1:13:19the high priest. So Zedekiah was not a high
- 1:13:24priest. And the Lord says, take this off
- 1:13:28and remember that there's going to be this false Messiah.
- 1:13:33And everybody is kind of looking for this right now in Israel.
- 1:13:38And even the Muslims are looking for their Messiah, which they
- 1:13:40call the Mahdi. So everybody is looking for
- 1:13:43somebody and we'll just have to wait and see.
- 1:13:48And we'll only know in hindsight.
- 1:13:51But to me again, this sounds like this is end times prophecy,
- 1:13:56verse 28 of Ezekiel 21. And you son of man prophecy and
- 1:14:00say this is what the sovereign Lord says about the Ammonites
- 1:14:05and their insults. A sword, a sword drawn for the
- 1:14:09slaughter, polished to consume and to flash like lightning,
- 1:14:13despite false visions concerning you and lying divinations about
- 1:14:17you. It will be laid on the necks of
- 1:14:19the wicked who are, who are to be slain, whose day has come,
- 1:14:26whose time of punishment has reached its climax.
- 1:14:32Let the sword return to its sheath in the place where you
- 1:14:37were created, in the land of your ancestry.
- 1:14:40I will judge you. I will pour out my wrath on you
- 1:14:45and breathe out my fiery anger against you.
- 1:14:49I will deliver you into the hands of brutal men, men skilled
- 1:14:53in destruction. You will be fueled for fire.
- 1:14:57Your blood will be shed in your land.
- 1:15:00You will be remembered no more, for I the Lord have spoken so
- 1:15:06about Ammon in Amos chapter one verse 13.
- 1:15:14It says this is what the Lord says for three sins of Ammon,
- 1:15:18even for four. I will not relent because he
- 1:15:21ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his
- 1:15:26borders. I will set fire to the walls of
- 1:15:30Rabba that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on on
- 1:15:35the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day, Her king
- 1:15:43will go into exile, he and his officials together.
- 1:15:47So I don't know if this is a doubly fulfilled prophecy or I
- 1:15:53mean one that's been fulfilled and yet a future to come.
- 1:15:56But it, it really does sound like it as I read this.
- 1:16:00So anyway, I, I don't know, this is probably been long because I
- 1:16:05talked on a lot of things that I didn't intend to.
- 1:16:08So I'm going to end this here and come back next time for
- 1:16:12Chapter 22.
