- 0:00SPEAKER_01: I uh I I'm sad to say this.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Um what?
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: I know you just got back from a three-day weekend and you're unfortunately not feeling that well.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: And I'm feeling a lot better.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I just am not I mean, uh you can clearly hear, I'm just not myself.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Well, I I mean you you're right.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: You're holding up as the Alley we know on the radio, but off the radio, I'm pretty sure you've coated your keyboard in lung butter.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: I even I even think I probably kept Zach up coughing last night.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Would it be bad etiquette for a supervisor to terminate someone while that person's sick, or do you wait till they're better?
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Well, why would you terminate them for being sick?
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: No, I'm gonna fire you.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: And the reason why is very simple.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: No, right after right after we announce our 20th anniversary listener appreciation party.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: What are you, Donald Trump?
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: TikToker, uh, well, they cut the cheese on the job at a Chick-fil-A and they got fired.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: So they got fired 19 years ago.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Oh my lord.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Uh so anyway, yes, this TikToker that worked at a Chick-fil-A.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Now, they work on the outside.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: If you've never been to a Chick-fil-a, this will be coming to our area soon enough.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: You don't pull into a traditional drive-thru the way you would McDonald's or something else.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: You pull up to these, I'm gonna call them, they almost look like toll booth area lanes, and you place your order with someone with an iPad, and uh then you pull to the window and they hand you your food.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: It's very efficient.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Anywho, they posted a video of herself waiting to take orders for customers outdoors at her Chick-fil-A uniform.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Now, she was outdoors, but she was in uniform.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: And uh she was crop dusting customers.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: She was uh added to the text, me letting it out because we outside and this giant one, and now she's been let go.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: So uh it's it's over for her.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: You know that that that fartness was like pure rancid eggs.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: And by the way And ruins it ruined my appetite because you know how sometimes you'll just have something that just has been brewing way too long.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: It smells like smells like something dyed up in ya.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: The shocking part about it is there was nobody in line at that moment.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Like this thing would have dissipated.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Which is really weird.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Does it?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Well, you're right, it doesn't.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Like when you fart and you get out of the car, you go into like CVS or something, and then you come back in, you're like, woo! Still here.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: The OG video got 21 million views.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Mariah later confessed that she didn't get fired for the video.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: What?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: She uh she did she now she's confessing she this is the second scam I've heard in two days.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Wait till you hear the other one.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: She'd been there for less than six months and uh racked up the 24 points needed to be fired.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Nothing to do with it.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: All right, well then you can stay working here then.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: That's that's being late, that's lazy.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Okay, maybe yelling at a customer.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Yo, pull over here.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: Second one.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Did you see the video that went viral?
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: I saw this on the news last night.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: And actually, it's really an egg on the face for the news, too.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Did you see the viral video of the old man carrying the suitcases up the steps at like late 70s, 80 years old, and a GoFundMe got started, and uh it was because this old man had to continue to work because he was paying for his wife's cancer treatment.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I love these stories.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: You're gonna hate this.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, I hate it.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: I want to say seven the$700,000 was raised in the uh uh GoFundMe.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: That it came out yesterday.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: It was his daughter that filmed it, and that they staged the whole thing.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Apparently, he still does do that job, but she did it on her camera.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: She uh it was not anonymous, and now she's out trying to defend it, going, Well, it is a true story.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: They GoFundMe suspended it.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Does the woman have cancer?
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Yes, but uh go the the the mother has cancer, but GoFundMe suspended it because of all the fakeness around it because the daughter staged the whole video of this old man carrying these suitcases up the steps.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: I hate this life sometimes because I watched another video yesterday of this guy crying on the on an airline, and it was because his well, according to the video, his wife died and he wanted to have an empty seat next to him, so that's where she used to always fly next to him.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Well then the the flight attendant really de-escalated the situation, asked somebody to move so he could have an empty seat next to him, blah, blah, blah.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: And I'm like watching it, the person who's sitting next to him is crying, I'm crying, and then I look in the comments and they're like, Oh yeah, these are content creators, that's an actor behind her.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Why play with my emotions like that?
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, I get the point.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: I understand wanting to help your parents, and you know, y maybe your dad really does that, but it it takes away the realness of a stranger's video camera, right?
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: You know, their doorbell camera, picking up the the video of this old man carrying these suitcases up the stairs, you know, struggling to do it.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: And of course,$700,000 worth of people were sitting there going, Yes, we will help you pay for your cancer treatment.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: And now I don't think they're gonna see a dime of it because it came out where the daughter literally goes, I did, yes, it's true, but I staged the whole thing.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: And you really played with our emotions.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: If she does have cancer, scam artists.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but if she does have cancer, I'm totally fine with some of the money going towards her cancer treatments because that's what the purpose of the GoFundMe was.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you don't feel that it's a little icky that you now know the entire production that made it online that staged getting$700,000 was rigged up.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: That is, but the the the the bottom line is she does have cancer and does need financial assistance.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: So, yes, let's give her financial assistance.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Having cancer sucks.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: So why not help somebody while they're down?
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: I I agree.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, you know, everybody's going, well, this now feels not as nice.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Well, are you are you gonna ask for your money back from a cancer patient?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: No.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: No, I don't know what happens with GoFundMe suspending their accounts.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: What happens to that money?
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: Is it somehow get sent back?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: I'm still fine.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: If somebody has cancer, I'm still fine with them having that money.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: I am too, but it's the ickiness of here's the daughter sitting between the two, you know, her parents.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: And she's like, okay, so I filmed it.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: It was me, it was it.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: And it makes you sit there in my stomach.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: I'm going, what else are you lying to me about?
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Does she really have cancer?
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Well, that's what I want to know.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Because I know somebody else who had a GoFundMe for somebody who had cancer, and then they were buying TVs.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: And three, two, one.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: You're listening to Scott and Allie.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Let me take a quick sip.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, the big three brought to you by ENV Energy.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: You know, we should read that text about EV Energy that we got a little bit ago.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Did you see that text?
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Uh, yes.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Let me let me see if I can pull that up for a second.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: While you're grabbing that, don't forget they've got fuel oil, propane, they've got what you need to uh warm the house, the farm, the business, EV Energy out in Bath.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: They have uh no fees, no surcharges.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: They are the no-fee fuel company.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: I found the text from 2457.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: They said last year my was my first year with ENV with no fees and the price I saved$500 last season.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, wow.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: You won't be disappointed with them.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: That's a really nice testimonial.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Thank you for that.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Appreciate that.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Now, let's go on to the big three.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: First prosecutors have reopened the investigation into an alleged sexual assault by seven fraternity members at Cornell University in 2024 after a woman filed a civil suit against the men and the university.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: Boeing is going to have to wait a little longer than expected.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: The FAA said yesterday it was delaying its certification of the already years delayed Max 10 planes to assess whether some new software could pose a safety threat while landing.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: And President Trump announced a$15 billion$15 billion steel plant.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Minnesota-based Misabi Metallics plans to invest$15 billion to build the largest steel plant in U.S.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: history in Iowa.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Now the iron ore will come from a recently opened mine in Minnesota.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: The company said that the project would include 100% American steel mined, melted, and poured in Minnesota and Iowa.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: This comes after uh President Trump imposed 50% tariffs on steel imports, which critics have blamed for driving up prices.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: But the US steel injury industry has praised.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: And there's the big three.
