- 0:00Speaker 1: This podcast is recorded on gaddigl Land Always was, always
- 0:04Speaker 1: will be Aboriginal Land. Hey cheeks, I'm sal and I'm
- 0:14Speaker 1: ou and this is two Road Chicks to show that
- 0:16Speaker 1: she has life lessons and tips to help make you
- 0:18Speaker 1: rich in life. And for today's life lesson episode, we
- 0:22Speaker 1: are joined by a very special guest actress and content creator,
- 0:26Speaker 1: Aliah O'Shea. Around the time of her twenty fifth birthday,
- 0:30Speaker 1: Aliyah received a shock brain cancer diagnosis and since then
- 0:34Speaker 1: she has been very bravely and generously sharing her experience online,
- 0:39Speaker 1: from advocating for your health and tips to overcome adversity.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Aliyah is a huge inspiration with so much wisdom to share.
- 0:47Speaker 1: She's also funny as fuck. It's a nice little cherry
- 0:49Speaker 1: on top. Aliyah also started her own nonprofit organization Care
- 0:53Speaker 1: which supports people navigating hair loss as a result of cancer.
- 0:57Speaker 1: We are so excited to dive into this chat with Elia. Yeah,
- 1:00Speaker 1: so let's get her on the show. Welcome to two
- 1:02Speaker 1: broad chicks, Aeleiah.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Thank you, happy to be here, so excited. Pleasure is
- 1:07Speaker 2: all ours.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We've had some very fun chats already, but before we
- 1:11Speaker 1: get into our questions, we always like to start with.
- 1:13Speaker 2: A life lesson of the week. Would you like to
- 1:16Speaker 2: kick us off?
- 1:17Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:17Speaker 2: But I have two? Is that crazy?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Come on?
- 1:21Speaker 2: Because one's kind of like easy and the next one's
- 1:23Speaker 2: kind of like profound love. That so some of the
- 1:25Speaker 2: easy one because it changed my life. If you can't
- 1:29Speaker 2: open a jar, say, it's like past a sauce or
- 1:31Speaker 2: like a condiment used. You know those yellow gloves that
- 1:34Speaker 2: you clean the house with. If you put that on,
- 1:37Speaker 2: it creates some sort of grip and it comes straight off.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Wa crazy, especially for the girlies who live alone, because
- 1:45Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, what are you gonna do. I'm not
- 1:47Speaker 2: gonna knock on my neighbors doing be like hey for me,
- 1:50Speaker 2: that's yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 4: That's also so much safer than my tactic where I
- 1:55Speaker 4: just smack the tip of it against the bench and
- 1:57Speaker 4: wait for the bubble to pop.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Okay, but I think you could smack like that on
- 2:02Speaker 2: the blow smack that jib.
- 2:04Speaker 4: It's yeah, but your your tips better try.
- 2:08Speaker 2: It changed my life. Okay, this one came from my
- 2:11Speaker 2: therapist and it kind of like changed my life for
- 2:14Speaker 2: this week. She said, don't chase joy. Chase meaning and
- 2:19Speaker 2: the joy will calm crazy and mind blown because I like,
- 2:23Speaker 2: I'm not feeling joy from the things I'm doing, and
- 2:26Speaker 2: like I'm constantly just trying to I'm so obsessed with that.
- 2:29Speaker 2: And she just said, like, you need to stop chasing that.
- 2:32Speaker 2: If you just do things that are meaningful to you,
- 2:34Speaker 2: it will calm And.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I was like, damn, girl, well that's very true as well,
- 2:41Speaker 4: because half the time it's like if you're trying to
- 2:43Speaker 4: force it, it's probably shit.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Yeah. So like if you're.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Going like, no, this will make me happy, it's like, no,
- 2:49Speaker 4: it's more what's going to actually be meaningful to you?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, And like it's obviously changed for me, but like
- 2:55Speaker 2: I think I was just trying to do the things
- 2:56Speaker 2: that used to make me feel happy, and her saying that,
- 2:59Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, and I had to
- 3:01Speaker 2: like think about what's actually meaningful to me now, and
- 3:05Speaker 2: it just Yeah, I think her saying that was like
- 3:07Speaker 2: so true, so crazy. We've gone from one side of
- 3:11Speaker 2: the spectrum.
- 3:11Speaker 4: To the that is literally or sometimes I'll have one
- 3:14Speaker 4: that's like tihi haha, and then soals will be like
- 3:17Speaker 4: and the philosophy behind life and I'm like the duality
- 3:22Speaker 4: of woman exactly. I've been inspired by one of your
- 3:26Speaker 4: life lessons. But it's you know when you've got the
- 3:30Speaker 4: little spice jars with like the powdered onion all like
- 3:35Speaker 4: powdered garlic, but after like two weeks it all sticks
- 3:38Speaker 4: together and you're like, what's the point of this.
- 3:41Speaker 2: On the bottom of spice.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Jars, they've got little indents that if you rub the
- 3:46Speaker 4: two bottoms together, it separates the powder spice. Yeah, that's
- 3:51Speaker 4: what they're built for because it vibrates the glass to
- 3:55Speaker 4: separate all the powder, so the onion powder doesn't stick
- 3:59Speaker 4: together and the gun. And I saw it on TikTok
- 4:03Speaker 4: once and I was like, liar and she was not
- 4:07Speaker 4: because I was like fake news. Did my little rubby
- 4:11Speaker 4: rob of spice dress and yeah, So that way you
- 4:15Speaker 4: don't have to be buying or like sticking a knife
- 4:17Speaker 4: in it, like try.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And break it up. That's crazy. I always thought it
- 4:21Speaker 2: was just to play with, just with a random glass
- 4:24Speaker 2: at the bottom.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I just thought it was like for grip or No,
- 4:28Speaker 1: that's what it is.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I love that, all right, what's your life lesson?
- 4:31Speaker 1: My life lesson of the week actually came from our
- 4:33Speaker 1: friend Jemma speG. Yeah, the show friend of the show
- 4:37Speaker 1: Friendly Show So the host of the Psychology of Your
- 4:40Speaker 1: Twenties podcast, and on her Instagram this week she shared
- 4:44Speaker 1: like a monthly research dump, which is so cute. So
- 4:48Speaker 1: it's like all of the research papers that she's read
- 4:50Speaker 1: and her favorite.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Findings from them.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Reading a research paper makes me feel like better than
- 4:55Speaker 4: everyone else.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I know news Google scholar more. I'm like, wait,
- 5:00Speaker 1: what is Google scholar So it's like a section of
- 5:04Speaker 1: Google where you can find research papers specifically, And I'm like,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you used to use it all the time for UNI.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and just you can whip it out like a
- 5:13Speaker 4: party and just sounds smart.
- 5:14Speaker 5: But when I go on substacky, so you stop being like,
- 5:20Speaker 5: oh I saw an article people go were and it
- 5:21Speaker 5: was actually Instagram, You're like, fuck, you can actually be
- 5:25Speaker 5: like I.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Read a research paper from the National Museum of something.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I love exactly.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But we can put a link to the post in
- 5:38Speaker 1: the show notes because there were a lot of really
- 5:40Speaker 1: interesting findings. But my favorite one that she shared was
- 5:44Speaker 1: savoring moments makes your love last longer. So, in a
- 5:48Speaker 1: study with five hundred and eighty nine couples, researchers found
- 5:52Speaker 1: that savoring moments alongside your partner was positively correlated with
- 5:55Speaker 1: increased relationship well being and protected your relationship against stress.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And break down.
- 6:00Speaker 1: More moments you enjoy together.
- 6:02Speaker 4: The better you little reminder, yeah, exactly, be a little
- 6:07Speaker 4: bit more intentional. I thought was very cute and also
- 6:12Speaker 4: whipped that out if you haven't been on a date
- 6:13Speaker 4: in a while and be like, well, science, we're going
- 6:17Speaker 4: to break up exactly exactly.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Okay, now we've got.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Our life lessons out of the way. Should we get
- 6:22Speaker 1: into the concern do it? Okay, let's do it. So, Aliyah,
- 6:27Speaker 1: around the time of your twenty fifth birthday last year,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you were given some really tough news. You have spoken
- 6:34Speaker 1: about this quite a bit on social media, but can
- 6:36Speaker 1: you talk us through what happened and your diagnosis?
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, get so serious, garlic. Yeah, no, definitely not the
- 6:48Speaker 2: quarter life crisis I was expecting, like was expecting a
- 6:51Speaker 2: crash out, but not of this sort.
- 6:53Speaker 3: So yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I was in La on a brand trip with Adobe
- 6:57Speaker 2: and I lost feeling in both of these fingers and
- 7:00Speaker 2: I was like, oh, weird. I must have pinched enough.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Got home, had a kidney infection that was just a
- 7:05Speaker 2: side quest, and I was like, I really need to
- 7:06Speaker 2: see my physio for these fingers. Got out after like
- 7:09Speaker 2: a week, went and saw my physio and he was like,
- 7:12Speaker 2: something's not right, Like I think you need to go
- 7:14Speaker 2: back to the hospital and get a brain scan. I
- 7:16Speaker 2: start sobbing, not because I think anything's bad, but because
- 7:19Speaker 2: I was so over being in the hospital at that point,
- 7:21Speaker 2: Like I'd never been in hospital or had a surgery
- 7:24Speaker 2: before any of this, so it was just like hospital trauma.
- 7:27Speaker 2: But thank god I went back because they found something
- 7:29Speaker 2: on my brain. And it was I back and forth
- 7:32Speaker 2: for a while whether it was an infection or a
- 7:35Speaker 2: tumor so on and so forth, and then eventually they
- 7:38Speaker 2: were like, I've actually never shared my actual diagnosis, and
- 7:41Speaker 2: like that is something I will keep to myself. But yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 2: two bro chicks exclusive. They were like, it's an incurable
- 7:49Speaker 2: high grade brain cancer and a lot of brain cancers
- 7:53Speaker 2: are incurable, which I didn't know before getting it. Like
- 7:57Speaker 2: how much of a difference there is between different can answers,
- 8:00Speaker 2: Like you just think it's oh, you get it, you
- 8:04Speaker 2: do the treatment, like so on and so forth, But
- 8:06Speaker 2: with this one, I've realized, like, no brain cancer, especially
- 8:09Speaker 2: like it's so far behind in research and everything. So yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 2: it was pretty crazy. But yeah, so so got that
- 8:17Speaker 2: news and have been doing what I need to do
- 8:21Speaker 2: ever since. Really yeah, because was it.
- 8:23Speaker 4: It was quite a long process to get to the
- 8:27Speaker 4: diagnosis part, wasn't it? And it was like I think
- 8:30Speaker 4: in your Body and Soul interview you described it as
- 8:33Speaker 4: being like drip fed vacuation, which is also just so
- 8:37Speaker 4: anxiety inducing. But then also you're advocating for yourself, and
- 8:42Speaker 4: we do see like a lot of women in our
- 8:45Speaker 4: audience and online like even just saying like advocating for
- 8:48Speaker 4: yourself and saying like no, I feel like something's wrong
- 8:52Speaker 4: is a really difficult thing to do. Like I see
- 8:56Speaker 4: so many things online of you know, women going and
- 8:59Speaker 4: being dismissed stiff things. But it sounds as well, like
- 9:02Speaker 4: it's so amazing that your physio also like supported you
- 9:06Speaker 4: and was like, no, I think you should look deeper
- 9:08Speaker 4: into this.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent. And I even before the fingers,
- 9:12Speaker 2: I noticed that my smile was uneven. This was like
- 9:15Speaker 2: six weeks before any of this happened, and I was like,
- 9:18Speaker 2: to my family, something's weird, Like I don't know, just
- 9:21Speaker 2: little things. I was like, Oh, my smile's off, like
- 9:23Speaker 2: it feels harder to talk, but we were like, oh,
- 9:25Speaker 2: who knows, like probably a tight jaw. And then I
- 9:29Speaker 2: went like six weeks if not getting closer to two
- 9:32Speaker 2: months without just thinking it was nothing. I'm like, I think, one,
- 9:36Speaker 2: we need to investigate things further, like is it a
- 9:39Speaker 2: societal thing that we're like, oh, just waited out Like oh,
- 9:42Speaker 2: it's probably just whatever, like and maybe it's like I
- 9:45Speaker 2: was like, hustle, hustle, I know, I had this trip,
- 9:47Speaker 2: like I was just so go, go go that I
- 9:49Speaker 2: think I just thought it would get better. But so
- 9:53Speaker 2: number one, just like if you notice something is off
- 9:57Speaker 2: with yourself, like, investigate it further, because we have that
- 10:00Speaker 2: intuition as women where it's like something ain't right. But
- 10:03Speaker 2: again I brushed it off. And then yeah, in the
- 10:05Speaker 2: medical system, like it was going back and forth between
- 10:09Speaker 2: the infection team and the neuroteam because like there has
- 10:13Speaker 2: been nothing normal about this journey for me, which is
- 10:16Speaker 2: like getting brain cancer at twenty five is already rare enough,
- 10:21Speaker 2: but the wayn mind showed up looked like it could
- 10:24Speaker 2: be an infection or a tumor, whereas usually it shows
- 10:27Speaker 2: up it's very clearly one or the others so they
- 10:30Speaker 2: just operate, but mine had like me getting medical and
- 10:33Speaker 2: pretty sure it was like a necrosis or something, which
- 10:37Speaker 2: usually is tumor, but the size it was or where
- 10:40Speaker 2: it was like, it's very rare that someone at your
- 10:43Speaker 2: age would have that, so we want to test for
- 10:46Speaker 2: an infection. And that's why for me, it was like
- 10:49Speaker 2: back and forth for so long, and then they were like,
- 10:51Speaker 2: we have to do a biopsy. Yeah, which yeah, none
- 10:55Speaker 2: of it was usual, but in the end I was like,
- 10:57Speaker 2: do the biopsy, Like I can't sit here and wait,
- 11:00Speaker 2: and I was doing treatment for both like and unfortunately
- 11:02Speaker 2: the treatment for the neuropeople is like just see if
- 11:04Speaker 2: your hand gets worse, like just watch and wait. And
- 11:07Speaker 2: I was like I don't think I feel good about
- 11:10Speaker 2: this anymore after like a week so on. Yeah, in
- 11:13Speaker 2: the end, I remember going to the teams. I was
- 11:16Speaker 2: like I shouldn't be giving the information between teams. Like
- 11:19Speaker 2: the infection team would come in, I'm like, the neuro
- 11:21Speaker 2: team said this. The neuro team would come in. I'm
- 11:23Speaker 2: like they said this.
- 11:24Speaker 4: And it was like so you don't know, you're like
- 11:26Speaker 4: sitting anxious, yeah, and like to retain that information would
- 11:31Speaker 4: be incredibly difficult.
- 11:33Speaker 2: And then having to repeat it to my family, then
- 11:36Speaker 2: to other people, to doctors. I'm like, can you guys
- 11:39Speaker 2: don't just like talk between yourselves, someone write this down? Yeah? Literally?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Well yeah that one of my friends has had experiences
- 11:47Speaker 1: with cancer as well, and he would always bring someone
- 11:52Speaker 1: with him for that reason. He was like, I can't,
- 11:55Speaker 1: like it's too much, but not everybody has also like
- 11:58Speaker 1: you know, a parent that can go with them to
- 12:00Speaker 1: every appointment kind of thing. But it really isn't so overwhelming.
- 12:05Speaker 1: But I think that is why it is so important
- 12:07Speaker 1: to lean on the people around you, right, yeah, you king,
- 12:10Speaker 1: especially when you're stuck in this kind of limbo and
- 12:12Speaker 1: you don't have the answers. Yeah, how did you lean
- 12:15Speaker 1: on the people around you during that time?
- 12:17Speaker 2: It's an interesting one because I feel like I've bounced
- 12:21Speaker 2: between being like I need people and then been like
- 12:25Speaker 2: I'm going to do this by myself, like because I'm
- 12:27Speaker 2: still young, you like don't want to lose that independence
- 12:30Speaker 2: kind of thing. But definitely, I think my family like
- 12:35Speaker 2: have just been incredible, Like I'm so lucky, Like my mom, dad,
- 12:38Speaker 2: and my two older brothers, like they've just been the
- 12:40Speaker 2: best and like my close friends. But yeah, I think
- 12:44Speaker 2: there's definitely been moments like I went through a period
- 12:47Speaker 2: where I was like anyone to come to my meetings,
- 12:49Speaker 2: like I'd voice memo of them, I'd like get the
- 12:51Speaker 2: transcript through a chat and just like send it to
- 12:54Speaker 2: my family because I was like, I just don't want
- 12:55Speaker 2: to talk about it. And I think it's okay if
- 12:58Speaker 2: you feel like that as well, like that something you
- 13:01Speaker 2: take on so much like I'll take you on the
- 13:03Speaker 2: feelings of my family and like the feelings of my friends,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and then also trying to like process my own emotion.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I think just like lean on people when you need to,
- 13:12Speaker 2: but also find different ways to like self soothe or
- 13:16Speaker 2: like what works for you. If you don't have the
- 13:18Speaker 2: energy to manage all that kind of thing, you're.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Kind of also managing other people's.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Reactions and emotion.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Do you have any advice for people that if they
- 13:46Speaker 4: are close to someone that's going through a similar situation,
- 13:50Speaker 4: like how can people support the people that are, you know,
- 13:54Speaker 4: struggling or going through something like you are. How can
- 13:58Speaker 4: they be a good support system.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I think one thing I've really noticed during this
- 14:04Speaker 2: is how much you need to support their support system.
- 14:08Speaker 2: And I've said this a lot because I was like
- 14:10Speaker 2: I saw the ripple effects through my family and my friends,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and I'm like, they bring me up, so someone has
- 14:16Speaker 2: to bring them up because I'm already getting so much
- 14:19Speaker 2: like support and love, like whether it's from my closed
- 14:22Speaker 2: circle or people beyond that. But I'm like they need
- 14:25Speaker 2: that as it's so beautiful. It's such like a selfless yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 2: but like truly, like they're putting so much time into me,
- 14:33Speaker 2: and I'm like people often forget about that next layer
- 14:37Speaker 2: out and like that was something I didn't even think
- 14:39Speaker 2: of for people I know who've gone through cancer and
- 14:41Speaker 2: things like that until I went through it myself. So
- 14:43Speaker 2: now I'm like I want to get that out there.
- 14:47Speaker 2: So definitely that but also just like I don't know,
- 14:51Speaker 2: it doesn't have to be so serious all the time.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I think that's been such a thing for me, Like
- 14:55Speaker 2: me and my friends are actually so dumb, like so silly,
- 14:58Speaker 2: and it's like that's what's help me the most. Like
- 15:01Speaker 2: we call cancer my flop era, like literally like it's
- 15:04Speaker 2: like genuinely like it is. Though, like I'm like surely
- 15:10Speaker 2: like I'm gonna get out of my flop era, like genuinely.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I'm like, just make not make them off because the
- 15:16Speaker 2: people come in like, oh my god, I gotta lift
- 15:18Speaker 2: you up, and I'm like, just I don't think you
- 15:20Speaker 2: have to be so solemn all the time, because like
- 15:23Speaker 2: stuff is already so solemn and like so serious. I'm like,
- 15:27Speaker 2: I don't know, I just want to laugh. I want
- 15:28Speaker 2: to be silly. So I definitely think that kind of
- 15:31Speaker 2: thing is helpful.
- 15:32Speaker 4: One reckon that comes from obviously your background in like
- 15:37Speaker 4: such a creative role because obviously you're an actress and
- 15:43Speaker 4: you're also like a content creator. But I feel like
- 15:45Speaker 4: that even minimizes your work a little bit because I
- 15:48Speaker 4: would like what I watched your videos like for ages,
- 15:52Speaker 4: I really loved your video where you have the sneakers,
- 15:55Speaker 4: Oh that's the OG's.
- 15:58Speaker 2: That was great.
- 15:59Speaker 4: And also I think that was one of like how
- 16:01Speaker 4: to wear like you would do ones on how to
- 16:03Speaker 4: wear items different ways and like the little so I
- 16:06Speaker 4: was like, how should you do that?
- 16:07Speaker 3: Oh?
- 16:08Speaker 4: He like didn't removed background in camber. I'm an editor now, seriously,
- 16:16Speaker 4: but like, how have you, like have you always been
- 16:20Speaker 4: so creative?
- 16:21Speaker 2: Has that always been something that you're interested in?
- 16:24Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 16:24Speaker 2: I think like when I was like ten, I was
- 16:27Speaker 2: like on iMovie like making stuff or like what was
- 16:30Speaker 2: that other one called that you make the videos on?
- 16:35Speaker 2: It's like an iPad app video star. Yeah. I was
- 16:39Speaker 2: like I was heavy in all of those.
- 16:41Speaker 4: What was the app that was before TikTok? And it
- 16:45Speaker 4: was like the lip sync app?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Musically? Was it musically? Start with? It was fine those
- 16:50Speaker 2: musically was on the start of the d I don't
- 16:59Speaker 2: really remember what No, neither do I remember the one
- 17:02Speaker 2: where you'd film yourself singing a bit of the song
- 17:05Speaker 2: and then you join in with yourself.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Oh my god, wait what was that one that it
- 17:08Speaker 4: would be like Jesse j on the other side.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Of the car and you'd like do them yeah, say
- 17:16Speaker 2: something on that And I was like hiding my study
- 17:18Speaker 2: because I was embarrassed.
- 17:18Speaker 4: I was like, ey had the moment where they were
- 17:23Speaker 4: like maybe nine, I was probably too older than that,
- 17:27Speaker 4: and you were like.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Can I sing?
- 17:29Speaker 4: And so you'd record yourself and then you'd listen back and.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I know that you did.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and your dreams are crash.
- 17:35Speaker 2: And they always thought I was the person in real
- 17:37Speaker 2: time Yeah yeah, yeah I'm not.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I love that I'm on FaceTime with Jesse j I.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Saw like someone ticked up being like they posted their video, which.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I was like, so brave.
- 17:47Speaker 4: I love that, And it was like I genuinely thought
- 17:51Speaker 4: I was on FaceTime with Jesse j and like her
- 17:53Speaker 4: responses are so cute because she's like she's Likej's like, Okay,
- 17:57Speaker 4: your turn, and she's like, okay.
- 17:59Speaker 2: I know. I was. I remember saying it's so beautiful. Sorry,
- 18:06Speaker 2: back to what I was. I was into all of
- 18:08Speaker 2: that stuff, like the minute I got I Think I
- 18:10Speaker 2: have a Mac when I was like eight or nine,
- 18:14Speaker 2: and I just was like straight, like I knew how
- 18:16Speaker 2: to edit on iMovie when I was like nine, That's incredible.
- 18:18Speaker 2: And that was just like the beginning of it. Obviously
- 18:20Speaker 2: very outgoing kid. My mom was like, let's get her
- 18:22Speaker 2: into an agency because she's.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Crazy, like that's capitalized.
- 18:28Speaker 2: But so I've always been I feel like, creatively inclined.
- 18:32Speaker 2: But I also was like really interested in business and stuff,
- 18:36Speaker 2: like I got into UNI. I think I'm pretty sure
- 18:39Speaker 2: I got like the Dean Scholar for Business and I
- 18:41Speaker 2: was like, well, I'm never going to UNI. Like I
- 18:43Speaker 2: did all the work knowing I'd never wanted to go
- 18:46Speaker 2: because I was like my whole, Like philosophy is like
- 18:49Speaker 2: chase your dreams and then go to your plan, being
- 18:52Speaker 2: like there's always security, there's always secure jobs that you
- 18:55Speaker 2: can get down the track, but you may as well
- 18:56Speaker 2: go for it, go for something else, and then do
- 18:59Speaker 2: that after if you need to.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 2: So I think even in high school, I just was
- 19:03Speaker 2: like I grew up dancing as well. My mom wanted
- 19:06Speaker 2: a dance school. Wow, that's another thing I've taken out
- 19:08Speaker 2: of the bio. Yes, no, no, no no, you.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Said before that you were saying.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I was like, I bet she's a good singing See
- 19:16Speaker 1: that's where that's where we drop it.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I can like if I was in an ensemble in
- 19:20Speaker 2: the musical like to I could do that. But if
- 19:24Speaker 2: you give me a solo. I auditioned for Anie when
- 19:26Speaker 2: I was like seven. I got to sing one line
- 19:28Speaker 2: that got caught, but we like that's enough. It was
- 19:35Speaker 2: that song where they all me about to really explain it,
- 19:39Speaker 2: like I couldn't remember the name, and I think Mom
- 19:41Speaker 2: was like, don't you feel like there's never any light?
- 19:45Speaker 2: But the girl in front of me sang a bit
- 19:47Speaker 2: of mine, and I was like to the people, and
- 19:51Speaker 2: I was like, guys like redo like, yeah, advocating for
- 19:55Speaker 2: myself and I was like, you can't. Didn't even get
- 19:58Speaker 2: to the dancing around. So that kind of explains my
- 20:01Speaker 2: journey with singing. So after that, I was like.
- 20:03Speaker 4: I think I'm very good experience.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So yeah, I'm a double threat.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I guess I don't believe you, but that's okay.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I threat, I'm threatening.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I am taking that and I am going to pepper
- 20:18Speaker 4: that I'll give you credits, but I'll be like at Aliyah,
- 20:21Speaker 4: but like, yeah, are your triple threat and I'm just
- 20:23Speaker 4: a threat, just a threat.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Everything threatening. But the question was I always creative? I
- 20:30Speaker 2: guess so and humor. I just think, like I know,
- 20:34Speaker 2: maybe growing up with brothers, but also even with my
- 20:37Speaker 2: social media, I'm just like, ah, I'm not thinking earlier
- 20:40Speaker 2: that takes things too seriously. I think I definitely tried that,
- 20:43Speaker 2: Like I posted TikTok recently being like I'm just never
- 20:46Speaker 2: going to be that curated photo dumb like fashion girl,
- 20:49Speaker 2: and I think I tried to be that for a
- 20:51Speaker 2: period of time because I was like, it's what everyone's doing,
- 20:53Speaker 2: but I'm like, to my care that's not me. Like
- 20:55Speaker 2: I'm a little bit odd, like I'm a little bit off.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Being creative as well just becomes so much isier once
- 21:00Speaker 4: you started embracing that too.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but until you do, it's.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Like, oh that is still not me.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yeah, house is messy for that ship.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't do my laundry well too, And I'm like,
- 21:14Speaker 1: that's cool, that's so I love that.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I love watching it. Well, it's the thing, it's
- 21:19Speaker 2: not like there's neither one that's right or wrong exactly,
- 21:21Speaker 2: just like it's just embrace what's to your core, because
- 21:25Speaker 2: like we spent so much time trying to be other things.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I'm like, you actually will get what you want when
- 21:30Speaker 2: you're in alignment with like who you are.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Well, you've spoken a lot also about like force positivity
- 21:37Speaker 1: and embracing a little bit more of like body neutrality,
- 21:40Speaker 1: which I think I probably first heard that term maybe
- 21:44Speaker 1: like a year and a half ago, and it.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Like to me, I was like, oh that fits, Like
- 21:51Speaker 4: I like that saying but like acknowledging how you feel
- 21:56Speaker 4: also without pretending, and also because like you know how
- 21:59Speaker 4: sometimes you sit there and you'll just be like and
- 22:01Speaker 4: you'll have people around you, which is so beautiful and
- 22:03Speaker 4: they're like, don't say that, but sometimes it's like you
- 22:06Speaker 4: kind of just want to feel how you feel.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Yeah, like how has that been your.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Journey with everything that you've you know, gone through, not
- 22:13Speaker 4: even in the last year, but just like in your
- 22:15Speaker 4: life as well well.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I feel like I wasn't neutral before this, Like I
- 22:19Speaker 2: was very like positive or negative. So it actually kind
- 22:23Speaker 2: of forced me to confront that in a sense of
- 22:25Speaker 2: like I don't know, like I just feel like it's
- 22:29Speaker 2: easier just to be honest, Like you feel worse if
- 22:32Speaker 2: you're trying to be positive and you don't get there.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I'm like, let's just remove that pressure and just wake up,
- 22:39Speaker 2: feel how you feel. Try and not have negative self
- 22:43Speaker 2: talk is a big thing that I have, And like
- 22:46Speaker 2: I'm clocking on myself because I feel like it's a practice,
- 22:49Speaker 2: like it doesn't come naturally to me. Neutrality. I'm like
- 22:52Speaker 2: swinging from one end to the other.
- 22:54Speaker 4: I feel like, do you have quite like self deprecating
- 22:56Speaker 4: humor m or like like you'll tea yeah, totally yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Me trying to be like no, I love myself.
- 23:05Speaker 4: I am.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Neutral. I'm like flop, but I'm not like, oh my god,
- 23:11Speaker 2: like I'm so dumb that like I can't do anything
- 23:13Speaker 2: but I am like, oh, I'm doing this through my flop,
- 23:16Speaker 2: Like yeah, I'm just gonna have to icknowledge that and
- 23:18Speaker 2: like go through it. But yeah, no, it's definitely. It's
- 23:22Speaker 2: just like stop waking up and setting yourself like if
- 23:24Speaker 2: you can wake up at a zero, that's good. Like
- 23:27Speaker 2: I was waking up and wanting myself to be like
- 23:29Speaker 2: a plus five, and then when I didn't wake up
- 23:32Speaker 2: like that, I was like in the negatives and I'm like,
- 23:34Speaker 2: now I have to build my way back up to
- 23:35Speaker 2: having a good day or something like if I can
- 23:37Speaker 2: just wake up be like all right, let's just see
- 23:40Speaker 2: where this goes, like it's just better. And then with
- 23:42Speaker 2: body neutrality like yeah, I was talking me about to say,
- 23:47Speaker 2: talking to a friend, I made a TikTok about this.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Hey, oh my friends.
- 23:53Speaker 2: When someone says I saw your TikTok, I'm like, I
- 23:55Speaker 2: feel sick because I get on that thing sometimes and
- 23:57Speaker 2: I'm like, yep, yeah, yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Everything one of your taktomks know me Like oh my god,
- 24:02Speaker 1: I'm being perceived big fast.
- 24:05Speaker 2: It's like me or like and then the next one's
- 24:07Speaker 2: like me and my bed being like do you guys
- 24:09Speaker 2: ever think about this? I'm like the duality on there
- 24:11Speaker 2: is scary. But I went on and I was like,
- 24:14Speaker 2: I I'm like lucky in the sense of I've always
- 24:18Speaker 2: been athletic, like I've never really I have struggle with
- 24:21Speaker 2: my body, but not majorly. And then in this journey,
- 24:25Speaker 2: like I've said online a lot, like I gained a
- 24:27Speaker 2: lot of weight very fast and was like whoa, Like
- 24:30Speaker 2: I don't know how to dress him up. I didn't
- 24:32Speaker 2: fit into any of my wardrobe like things like that,
- 24:35Speaker 2: and I was just like really getting down about it,
- 24:38Speaker 2: and like I was like, no, go buy clothes that
- 24:40Speaker 2: fit you, find stuff that looks good on you, like
- 24:42Speaker 2: stop trying to force yourself back into your old body
- 24:45Speaker 2: or like who you were kind of thing, and like
- 24:48Speaker 2: just embracing it, being like, yeah, I do need to
- 24:50Speaker 2: go to the gym and things like that, not even
- 24:52Speaker 2: aesthetically but like rehabbing and like getting back into a routine,
- 24:55Speaker 2: Like yeah, I'm still gonna have to do that, but
- 24:57Speaker 2: I'm not gonna stand there every day. But I hate
- 24:59Speaker 2: what I'm looking at, hate what I'm looking at, And
- 25:01Speaker 2: when I actually just embraced it, I'm a lot happier,
- 25:04Speaker 2: Like and yeah, you still have to do the work
- 25:07Speaker 2: and you still have to like put work into it.
- 25:11Speaker 2: But it's just nice you're not fighting with yourself, Like
- 25:14Speaker 2: there's so many ops in the world. Don't make yourself one.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Like that's I love that.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Another thing when you're like when that like you're saying before,
- 25:21Speaker 4: that pendulum like is swinging and it's swinging towards that
- 25:24Speaker 4: negative self talk. Sometimes that can kind of turn into
- 25:27Speaker 4: a bit of a spiral and it like compound interests.
- 25:30Speaker 2: How do you go, nat M. I'm still working on
- 25:35Speaker 2: that one, yeah, but I think changing it up. Like
- 25:41Speaker 2: I went line dancing the other day, you guys, like
- 25:44Speaker 2: out of nowhere. I just got a friend and I
- 25:46Speaker 2: was like I needed to do something. So in like
- 25:49Speaker 2: the Southern Shire, like near Kronola, there's actually like multiple
- 25:52Speaker 2: places that would just do it on like a Tuesday night.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I feel like if you google it, you'll find somewhere
- 25:57Speaker 2: near you. But I think getting out of funk, you
- 26:00Speaker 2: just need to like rip yourself out of routine. Like
- 26:03Speaker 2: if I sit my house and do the same thing,
- 26:05Speaker 2: I'm like, of course I'm going to keep going down,
- 26:07Speaker 2: So doing something really different, or I'm back into journaling
- 26:11Speaker 2: pen to paper, like gotta do it. Do you read
- 26:14Speaker 2: your journal back? My friend asked me this the other day,
- 26:17Speaker 2: my real friend, not TikTok, and I, oh, my god.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Like my real friend, not you.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I I would do that as a bit.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Yeah really, friends, I'm gonna line dancing.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, do you read your journal back?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Okay? I do sometimes when I am in a funk
- 26:45Speaker 2: because I'm like, how did I get out of it before?
- 26:49Speaker 2: But for the most part, right now, I'm just like
- 26:50Speaker 2: get the thoughts out of my head. But I have
- 26:52Speaker 2: journals from like a few years ago, and I like
- 26:54Speaker 2: to go back through them to be like I knew
- 26:56Speaker 2: I was done bad then and I am out of
- 26:59Speaker 2: it now, slush going like I did get out of it,
- 27:02Speaker 2: so let's see what I reflected on back then. And
- 27:05Speaker 2: that's when I read it. But I'm not just reading
- 27:06Speaker 2: it for fun, because that's speaky. Yeah, that's so fair.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It's like maybe a little too introspective.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Have a goal.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I like that because it's like a circuit breaker, Like
- 27:16Speaker 1: what is your circuit breaker? Is like going to a
- 27:20Speaker 1: new restaurant, or like going for a run, or trying
- 27:23Speaker 1: a new hobby or journaling, but just knowing what that
- 27:25Speaker 1: is for you because it's going to be different for everyone.
- 27:28Speaker 1: But you've also spoken about radical acceptance, which I feel
- 27:32Speaker 1: like as you were talking, I'm like I can see it,
- 27:34Speaker 1: like all the ways that you kind of embrace this,
- 27:37Speaker 1: but can you talk through what does that mean and
- 27:39Speaker 1: how do you actively try and embrace it?
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so I feel like it is it kind of
- 27:44Speaker 2: I spoke about my body and things like that. It
- 27:45Speaker 2: is just accepting the reality of right now. It's not
- 27:49Speaker 2: again not saying that you can do things to make
- 27:51Speaker 2: it better or that it couldn't be better. Of course
- 27:54Speaker 2: things can can be, but just being like, this is
- 27:57Speaker 2: what's happening right now, and I'm gonna work with it,
- 27:59Speaker 2: like I'm not gonna f And again it's a practice,
- 28:02Speaker 2: like I don't find it easy, but and like this
- 28:05Speaker 2: probably isn't like ethical advice, but sometimes I just have
- 28:08Speaker 2: to like step back, just zoom out, or just like
- 28:11Speaker 2: disassociate a bit with like obsessing over what's going on
- 28:15Speaker 2: in my life and just be like just move through it,
- 28:18Speaker 2: Like just do what you have to do today, don't
- 28:20Speaker 2: be so hyper attached to everything, like just kind of
- 28:23Speaker 2: I know, I feel like everyone says like zoom out,
- 28:25Speaker 2: but sometimes I'm not zooming out that far. I'm just
- 28:27Speaker 2: like a few centimeters away and being like, yeah, just
- 28:31Speaker 2: just go through what you have to go through, but
- 28:32Speaker 2: don't be so attached to it all. And yeah, I
- 28:35Speaker 2: feel like that's kind of what I describe it's a
- 28:38Speaker 2: radical acceptance. But again, like if you're having I had
- 28:42Speaker 2: to radically accept a lot of things, and like, I
- 28:45Speaker 2: think the more you have to accept sometimes the easier
- 28:48Speaker 2: it gets in a way because it's just like oh,
- 28:50Speaker 2: another one, another one, like let's just let's just do it.
- 28:52Speaker 2: But I feel like, again it's a practice, and it's
- 28:55Speaker 2: funny how much of this really is like a muscle
- 28:57Speaker 2: you have to train. I I I started like getting
- 29:01Speaker 2: into therapy and things like that. I was like, why
- 29:03Speaker 2: isn't this working now? But yeah, I feel like if
- 29:06Speaker 2: every day you're just kind of like pick up one
- 29:09Speaker 2: or a few things to be like, I'm just going
- 29:11Speaker 2: to accept this today, I'm not going to find it
- 29:12Speaker 2: and let's see how the day goes like and it
- 29:15Speaker 2: might end up better than you really expect. Yeah, it's
- 29:17Speaker 2: like tick okay, positive reinforcement, let's do it again tomorrow
- 29:20Speaker 2: kind of thing.
- 29:21Speaker 4: I really like that I'm going to radically accept everything
- 29:24Speaker 4: that ever happens for the rest of my life. It's
- 29:28Speaker 4: very easy for listeners or you know, anyone who's going
- 29:30Speaker 4: through a similar situation to really get pulled into the
- 29:35Speaker 4: tidal wave that can be it. And like hearing you
- 29:39Speaker 4: say that is just so refreshing and inspiring as well.
- 29:44Speaker 4: And you've also started your own nonprofit organization, which like
- 29:49Speaker 4: I'm like, it makes so much sense as well when
- 29:52Speaker 4: you're talking about like business and yeah, stuff like who
- 29:55Speaker 4: you are, But can you talk us a little.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Bit about that? Yeah, So honestly, I was so much
- 30:00Speaker 2: dex and athy zone in the start of this process.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Like I call it the crack drug because I was
- 30:05Speaker 2: like firing on all cylinders and like, this is one
- 30:08Speaker 2: great thing that came out of it. A lot of
- 30:10Speaker 2: other business ideas have just been put to the sign
- 30:13Speaker 2: will wait for a better time. But I was just
- 30:16Speaker 2: like up at three am one night in hospital and
- 30:18Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, I'm only gonna lose part of
- 30:21Speaker 2: my hair, like a whole half of my head because
- 30:23Speaker 2: with brain cancer, I was doing oral chemo, so I
- 30:26Speaker 2: didn't lose any hair from that. So just where the
- 30:28Speaker 2: radiation hits I lose that hair, and because my trim
- 30:32Speaker 2: is on the right side, I was like, oh, like
- 30:34Speaker 2: literally like that is gonna be lost. And I was like,
- 30:37Speaker 2: I really want to wig because I still have half
- 30:40Speaker 2: my hair and I feel like it's gonna be all uneven.
- 30:42Speaker 2: And then my left hand, I was like, I'm not
- 30:44Speaker 2: really gonna be able to put it on. So I
- 30:46Speaker 2: was like, I'm gonna do some research here and find
- 30:48Speaker 2: out what I can get. And I found this amazing place.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Shout out Tammy Lovado. She does really incredible wig stuff.
- 30:54Speaker 2: They do bonded toppers, which is like portions or a
- 30:57Speaker 2: fully bonded wig if you've lost all your hair, and
- 31:00Speaker 2: bonded means you can wash it normally, you can swim
- 31:03Speaker 2: in it, you can like do anything in it. So
- 31:06Speaker 2: I found that and I was like, this is incredible.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Does anyone know about this? Went to my cancer like
- 31:11Speaker 2: care center and was talking to some of the older
- 31:13Speaker 2: ladies being like, have you heard of a bonded wig?
- 31:15Speaker 2: And they're like no, yeah, Like I hadn't even heard
- 31:18Speaker 2: of it, but obviously I'm young. I'm like on my
- 31:19Speaker 2: phone like crazy. So it started there of me being
- 31:22Speaker 2: like I want to be able to provide bonded wigs
- 31:24Speaker 2: for people. But then lately, which is so funny because
- 31:27Speaker 2: like you'll read an article and I'm saying one thing,
- 31:30Speaker 2: and then the next week I'm saying the next thing,
- 31:32Speaker 2: because I'm like, I'm figuring this out as I go.
- 31:34Speaker 2: But now I'm like, I don't want to just do
- 31:36Speaker 2: bond wigs. I want to provide funding for young women
- 31:39Speaker 2: who have cancer to get a hair solution in any capacity,
- 31:42Speaker 2: because it's like such a thing, like you lose so
- 31:46Speaker 2: much of yourself when you're going through treatment, Like my
- 31:48Speaker 2: face was so swollen I couldn't fit into any of
- 31:51Speaker 2: my clothes. I just didn't recognize myself. And I didn't
- 31:54Speaker 2: even lose like my eyebrows on my lashes or anything
- 31:56Speaker 2: like that. And when I got the wig on, I
- 31:58Speaker 2: looked in the mirror, I was like, this is the
- 31:59Speaker 2: first time in months I haven't just felt like a
- 32:01Speaker 2: cancer patient, Like I felt like a person again. And
- 32:04Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, And people don't realize I think,
- 32:08Speaker 2: like it seems fickle or superficial to be like that's
- 32:11Speaker 2: what I want to raise money for, but I'm like
- 32:13Speaker 2: it's from my experience, and like I am a young woman,
- 32:15Speaker 2: Like this didn't come out of like, oh, like a
- 32:18Speaker 2: business idea or like whatever. I was like, I just
- 32:20Speaker 2: looked in the mirror and I felt that, and I
- 32:21Speaker 2: was like, I want every young woman to be able
- 32:23Speaker 2: to feel like this, like going through it. So yeah,
- 32:26Speaker 2: that's a bit about it. And like I think we
- 32:29Speaker 2: have like six girls now who I've two of them
- 32:33Speaker 2: have received their wigs and the others are like in
- 32:35Speaker 2: the consultation. So I'm like really excited. But one day
- 32:38Speaker 2: i want to meet them all. Like they're all across Australia,
- 32:40Speaker 2: which is really cool.
- 32:41Speaker 1: But yeah, so it's called because I care, right.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Well, it's called care. But I made the at because
- 32:49Speaker 2: I Care because people kept saying seer yeah, and I
- 32:52Speaker 2: was like yeah, so I was like but then now
- 32:54Speaker 2: everyone's saying because I care, and I'm like, yeah, let's
- 32:56Speaker 2: go with that, Like yeah, like so whatever because you're fancying.
- 33:00Speaker 1: But I.
- 33:19Speaker 2: What can people do to support? Well, currently, I've just
- 33:23Speaker 2: got the go fundme setup, but I'm working on our
- 33:25Speaker 2: first event to try and fundraise because, like I said,
- 33:28Speaker 2: I'm like I've never done this before, Like I'm really
- 33:31Speaker 2: just like, again, take a messy first step rather than
- 33:36Speaker 2: perfect it and like wait on it because it's just
- 33:38Speaker 2: like I need to do this now because I'm so
- 33:40Speaker 2: in the emotion. So yeah, hopefully within the next like
- 33:43Speaker 2: month or two, we have our first kind of fundraising
- 33:46Speaker 2: events around Australia. But for now, if you go to
- 33:49Speaker 2: my Instagram or because I Care Instagram, there's a go
- 33:52Speaker 2: Fundme link and people can donate there. But I'll be
- 33:55Speaker 2: posting lots about the girls and the events on that Instagram,
- 33:58Speaker 2: so I'm really.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Excited, amazing, and we'll also make sure that we can
- 34:03Speaker 4: share links to that as well. But also your friends
- 34:07Speaker 4: also set up a go fun Me for you as well,
- 34:09Speaker 4: Oh my God, which is just so beautiful and I
- 34:13Speaker 4: think it goes to show like your character and how
- 34:15Speaker 4: much people love you and how much you've given to
- 34:18Speaker 4: you know, the people around you. So we'll also ensure
- 34:20Speaker 4: that we put a link to that in the show
- 34:23Speaker 4: notes of the episode and share on our channels, with
- 34:26Speaker 4: also of course our own contributions.
- 34:28Speaker 2: To both of those.
- 34:31Speaker 4: But we do like to finish our episodes with guests
- 34:34Speaker 4: with the same question. It's a big goal, She's a
- 34:36Speaker 4: big girl question, and it's what has been your biggest
- 34:39Speaker 4: life lesson on your journey so far.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Me acting like I haven't already thought about it.
- 34:47Speaker 3: I need to get them warning back.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Well, my god, i feel like I've lived like seven
- 34:52Speaker 2: lives at this point, so I'm like, which life do
- 34:54Speaker 2: I want to pull this from? But a big thing
- 34:57Speaker 2: for me, and I feel like I preach this to everyone,
- 35:02Speaker 2: is if you feel passionate about something, you need to
- 35:06Speaker 2: try it, like you actually would rather try and fail
- 35:10Speaker 2: than run out of time and regret. Like that is
- 35:12Speaker 2: just my biggest thing. It sounds crazy, but when I
- 35:15Speaker 2: got my diagnosis, I was like at first, I was like,
- 35:18Speaker 2: you know what, I've had a pretty good twenty four years.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Like I was like, I'm so glad I did everything
- 35:24Speaker 2: I wanted to, Like I still have big goals that
- 35:26Speaker 2: I'm like wanting to achieve. But I was like, I've
- 35:29Speaker 2: lived overseas, I've told every person I've had a crush
- 35:32Speaker 2: on that I have a crush on them, Like I've
- 35:35Speaker 2: like I've taken the risks and all that stuff. And
- 35:37Speaker 2: I was like, I'm pretty glad that I'm not standing
- 35:39Speaker 2: here going like I wish I did that. I wish
- 35:41Speaker 2: I did that, I wish I did that. So I
- 35:43Speaker 2: think just go for it and again, take a messy
- 35:46Speaker 2: first step. Don't wait for perfection, don't wait for being ready.
- 35:49Speaker 2: And I want to say, like, if you have the
- 35:51Speaker 2: means too, and obviously that's a thing, but also I
- 35:54Speaker 2: don't want to give people an out to wait longer
- 35:56Speaker 2: because I've been like that. So yeah, I think just
- 36:01Speaker 2: try everything and you can always find a way back
- 36:05Speaker 2: if you need to. But oh my god, that was amazing.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 36:10Speaker 1: You are such an inspiration and you're funny as fuck
- 36:14Speaker 1: and we just appreciate you coming on so much. Yeah,
- 36:18Speaker 1: thank you so much. For any of the chicks who
- 36:20Speaker 1: don't follow you already, where can they find?
- 36:22Speaker 2: You can find me on Instagram. Aliyah underscore o'shay with
- 36:27Speaker 2: two a's because I got hacked in grade seven? Thanks
- 36:30Speaker 2: for that. Who is hacking? Like, I know, maybe thirteen
- 36:36Speaker 2: and I got my thing. It's like I'm selling weed
- 36:39Speaker 2: and I.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Was like, I'm like, I've been hustling since.
- 36:52Speaker 2: And then on TikTok, I think it's Aliah underscore o'sha
- 36:55Speaker 2: one a because I haven't been hacked yet.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Please nobody take that as.
- 36:59Speaker 2: A like, what's the word, Oh, I know what you mean. Permission.
