- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey everybody, this.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Is the almost Famous podcast. We're here today with Teresa
- 0:09Speaker 3: and this. We're so excited to have her on. We
- 0:11Speaker 3: have so much to talk to her about. I feel
- 0:14Speaker 3: like she should be making the headlines more than she
- 0:18Speaker 3: is right now because of some very big topics that
- 0:21Speaker 3: she's a part of. So maybe this podcast will bring
- 0:25Speaker 3: out the press. Teresa, thank you for joining us.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, thank you so much for asking me.
- 0:31Speaker 4: I missed you.
- 0:31Speaker 5: Guys. It's been about half a year since we talked
- 0:37Speaker 5: to you, and a lot has happened, like the fact
- 0:41Speaker 5: that you chose not to go down to Bachelor in Paradise,
- 0:44Speaker 5: or at least we're assuming you chose not to. Is
- 0:47Speaker 5: this was your decision?
- 0:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I kind of thought it.
- 0:50Speaker 6: It just wasn't really for me, and I really I
- 0:54Speaker 6: was so enthusiastic about it when it first came out,
- 0:57Speaker 6: and you know, I was talking about like who I'd
- 0:59Speaker 6: be interested in, and then I realized that I was
- 1:02Speaker 6: really just excited about seeing the women and you.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Know, having a reunion and having a vacation with them.
- 1:09Speaker 6: So I thought that wasn't fair to make it about that,
- 1:14Speaker 6: and I really didn't want to go on and pretend
- 1:17Speaker 6: or you know, just make up something or make an alliance.
- 1:21Speaker 6: And I thought I'd be much better off just watching
- 1:23Speaker 6: it and enjoying Leslie being on the show.
- 1:27Speaker 4: So yeah, it just didn't feel right.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Teresa, let's push back on this a little bit, because
- 1:35Speaker 3: that sounds like an answer that anybody would give that
- 1:40Speaker 3: have said no to going on a show. However, I
- 1:44Speaker 3: personally feel like everybody, at least initially is going on
- 1:47Speaker 3: feeling like they would have to fake it because you
- 1:49Speaker 3: don't know who's going to be down there necessarily, and
- 1:52Speaker 3: you don't know what kind of love is going to exist.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And let's say six months ago, when we had you
- 1:57Speaker 3: on the show, one of the things that we talked
- 1:59Speaker 3: about was your desire to still stay involved and to
- 2:04Speaker 3: be out there in the public, and you're trying to
- 2:05Speaker 3: figure out how to do that. The easiest answer to
- 2:09Speaker 3: that is go on Paradise, but you said no. So
- 2:12Speaker 3: let's take away the factor of you didn't know if
- 2:15Speaker 3: it was going to be right for you. Nobody knows
- 2:17Speaker 3: if it's going to be right for them, and really
- 2:19Speaker 3: dig into why did you say no? Like, what was
- 2:23Speaker 3: the real reason, because everybody's just going down there to fake.
- 2:26Speaker 4: It, Okay, so you think that all right, I don't know.
- 2:30Speaker 6: So I've learned so much about myself throughout this entire experience,
- 2:36Speaker 6: and one of these things is that I have to
- 2:37Speaker 6: be true to myself. So that really is true for me.
- 2:42Speaker 6: I will tell you that so many of my decisions
- 2:45Speaker 6: I make with my daughter. And at first we were
- 2:48Speaker 6: both so enthusiastic about it, and then we thought, gee,
- 2:52Speaker 6: you know what, I've gone through such a journey where
- 2:55Speaker 6: maybe the public wasn't so happy about me, and now
- 2:58Speaker 6: I feel like, I feel like I have such a
- 3:00Speaker 6: great community and I feel that I you know, I've
- 3:04Speaker 6: got support. And I almost felt like I would go
- 3:07Speaker 6: on there and maybe do something that wasn't going to
- 3:12Speaker 6: work out right and wasn't going to come across as genuine,
- 3:15Speaker 6: but it truly was. I mean, I could deduce I
- 3:18Speaker 6: don't know who's on the show, but I could really
- 3:20Speaker 6: deduce who would have been on the show. And I
- 3:23Speaker 6: did look at myself against each of these people, and
- 3:25Speaker 6: I thought we weren't a match.
- 3:27Speaker 4: And I guess maybe I'm just not that person who
- 3:30Speaker 4: can go on and pretend that.
- 3:32Speaker 6: So there's something wrong with me, so I would say, okay,
- 3:35Speaker 6: there's and I do definitely but I do definitely want
- 3:39Speaker 6: to do things. And I just wish that it wasn't
- 3:41Speaker 6: the kind of show where you had to make a
- 3:44Speaker 6: love match where that was the goal of the show.
- 3:47Speaker 4: There's any other kind of show.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I feel like I would be, you know, welcome with
- 3:51Speaker 6: open arms.
- 3:52Speaker 4: And you should have seen that.
- 3:53Speaker 6: The whole journey was yes, I'm so excited, I want
- 3:56Speaker 6: to do this. I want to tell you who I'm
- 3:58Speaker 6: interested in. And then I went back to the producers
- 4:00Speaker 6: and I said, you know what, I realized that I
- 4:03Speaker 6: was just so excited about seeing these women again and
- 4:07Speaker 6: having a great reunion and more than anything else, and
- 4:10Speaker 6: I can't promise you that there would be a match.
- 4:13Speaker 6: So okay, now that you're telling me that that everybody
- 4:16Speaker 6: has this idea that they're going on because you know
- 4:19Speaker 6: they don't know whether or not there's a match, I
- 4:22Speaker 6: guess I'm foolish or naive about that. Well maybe too honest,
- 4:27Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 4:28Speaker 5: I told producers going into my first season of Paradise.
- 4:31Speaker 5: I was like, look, I am so picky. You're going
- 4:33Speaker 5: to probably have to like make me like someone I'm
- 4:36Speaker 5: probably not gonna like someone. And then today, a decade
- 4:39Speaker 5: ago today, I met Jared after saying that a decade
- 4:42Speaker 5: ago today, Wow, so you can be surprised. I definitely
- 4:47Speaker 5: had Jared on my list, but I wasn't sold. And
- 4:51Speaker 5: I'm listening to you and thinking that possibly you just
- 4:54Speaker 5: felt like there was nobody that was your type there.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I yeah, I mean that that's really true,
- 5:02Speaker 6: that there wasn't anybody that. I mean. I thought about
- 5:05Speaker 6: each person who could possibly be on the show, and
- 5:07Speaker 6: I went through the whole machinations of having a relationship
- 5:11Speaker 6: with that person, and I thought it wouldn't work, and
- 5:13Speaker 6: I just felt like I didn't want to take that
- 5:15Speaker 6: person away from anybody else who may really be interested
- 5:19Speaker 6: in that person. And nothing against anybody who's on it.
- 5:22Speaker 6: I'm just looking at me and this person together. And so, okay,
- 5:26Speaker 6: so you had the same reaction.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Well, there were times during Caitlyn season. I only got
- 5:31Speaker 5: to watch two episodes of Caitlin season. Okay, So I
- 5:34Speaker 5: saw pictures of Jared beforehand. They were like paparazzi pictures,
- 5:37Speaker 5: and I was like, oh my gosh, ad this guy
- 5:40Speaker 5: and then watching him on the show, I was like maybe,
- 5:42Speaker 5: like yeah, interested, but not like oh my god. And
- 5:46Speaker 5: then I saw him at first sight and it was
- 5:48Speaker 5: like love site Wow. To be completely honest and very weird,
- 5:52Speaker 5: I was like, if Ben Higgins isn't there, I'm not
- 5:55Speaker 5: sure if I'm gonna like anyone.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I used to have the factor. Yeah, no, you still do.
- 6:03Speaker 6: And I had never watched Paradise before, so I started
- 6:06Speaker 6: binge watching it and I saw well yours, Ashley.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I saw your episodes on Hulu. They only have I
- 6:13Speaker 4: think seven and eight, and so I thoroughly enjoyed it.
- 6:17Speaker 4: It was so great and it was real love.
- 6:20Speaker 6: And that told me was they're looking for true love
- 6:24Speaker 6: and I don't know if I can get there, and
- 6:26Speaker 6: I don't want to fool anybody.
- 6:27Speaker 4: This is it's crazy and it's even you know. The
- 6:30Speaker 4: last time I was talking.
- 6:31Speaker 6: About doing the sponsorships, and since then, I think I've
- 6:34Speaker 6: done one.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I accepted one and it was.
- 6:36Speaker 6: Something I really believed in and I might be doing
- 6:38Speaker 6: another one. But I've been flooded with them and I
- 6:42Speaker 6: don't know. Maybe it's because I have a well paying job.
- 6:44Speaker 6: Maybe that's it that I don't feel I don't want
- 6:48Speaker 6: to do anything that I don't feel that's true to myself.
- 6:50Speaker 6: So this is a dilemma. I got to get over it.
- 6:53Speaker 6: I guess I give me something I need to get.
- 6:56Speaker 3: No, let's be clear, there's nothing wrong with you. That
- 7:00Speaker 3: was not what I'm saying. I'm just saying that if
- 7:05Speaker 3: we were sitting in the room and you called me
- 7:07Speaker 3: to say should you go on Paradise or not, I
- 7:10Speaker 3: would have sat down.
- 7:10Speaker 2: So there's nothing wrong with.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Your thought process right now. However, your thought process is
- 7:16Speaker 3: not uncommon to everybody else's. The difference is your decision
- 7:20Speaker 3: to make the leap or not, because I guarantee you
- 7:24Speaker 3: based on the names that we've seen down there, Let's
- 7:27Speaker 3: say the Nancy's and the Kathy's and those girls, they
- 7:32Speaker 3: were all going because they were so excited to see
- 7:35Speaker 3: each other again first off, and then potentially meeting some
- 7:40Speaker 3: of these guys to build friendships or possible love connections with.
- 7:44Speaker 3: And I think that Paradise is beautiful and that in
- 7:49Speaker 3: that way that it doesn't put pressure on you to
- 7:52Speaker 3: like one person or not. It also gives you the
- 7:55Speaker 3: option to leave or not once you're down there. And
- 7:58Speaker 3: I think having the confidence just to step out and
- 8:00Speaker 3: say I'm going to give it a shot is maybe
- 8:04Speaker 3: the difference here. I think you should have gone, Teresa.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I am sad that you're not going to be there
- 8:08Speaker 3: because I wanted to watch on television. But none of
- 8:11Speaker 3: this makes sense unless we ask you this question. Then
- 8:14Speaker 3: you answered, do you want to be in relationship again?
- 8:18Speaker 3: I mean, if you don't, then yeah, I would say,
- 8:20Speaker 3: don't go on Paradise. If you have no interest in
- 8:22Speaker 3: finding love again, this is the place for you.
- 8:25Speaker 6: I absolutely do want to be in a relationship, and
- 8:27Speaker 6: whether or not I'm in one right now, I'm not
- 8:30Speaker 6: prepared to discuss.
- 8:31Speaker 2: But gracious, I want to.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Make this clear though.
- 8:39Speaker 6: I got to tell you this, so really the chronology
- 8:42Speaker 6: of events was, I went through all the testing. I
- 8:45Speaker 6: was already there, and they took the guys, and then
- 8:48Speaker 6: I went back and said I really can't do it.
- 8:50Speaker 6: But then I actually went back and said, Okay, maybe I.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Should give it a shot.
- 8:54Speaker 6: And then I didn't get it, and then I didn't
- 8:56Speaker 6: get it.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Oh, the truth is unveiling itself throughout this conversation.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Your first answer made no sense to me. I'll be honest, Teresa.
- 9:04Speaker 3: When you said your first answer. I was like, this
- 9:05Speaker 3: that makes zero sense to me, Teresa, Like what you're
- 9:08Speaker 3: saying just sounds like fluff. Now we're actually getting down
- 9:11Speaker 3: to the real truth of the matter. You went through
- 9:14Speaker 3: the testing, you wanted to go on the show. They
- 9:16Speaker 3: said no, is that's what happened.
- 9:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I wanted to go on the show, and then
- 9:21Speaker 6: I went back to them and said I changed my mind.
- 9:23Speaker 4: I don't want to do it.
- 9:24Speaker 6: And then I went back and said, you know what,
- 9:26Speaker 6: maybe I'm being foolish, and then they ultimately did not
- 9:30Speaker 6: select me.
- 9:31Speaker 5: They don't like a wishy washy if you're not in
- 9:33Speaker 5: that why I'm.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Going to say that that was the reason because because
- 9:37Speaker 6: I said I didn't want to do it, they said, no,
- 9:39Speaker 6: this girl's not committed. So I feel that that was
- 9:43Speaker 6: the reason why I'm ultimately not on the show.
- 9:45Speaker 4: But I think it was a great decision. I think
- 9:47Speaker 4: it's good that I'm not on the show.
- 9:49Speaker 3: And here's my response to that. It all works out
- 9:51Speaker 3: how it's supposed to work out. Yeah, It's like when
- 9:54Speaker 3: you you know, when you're trying to buy a house,
- 9:55Speaker 3: and the house that you want you don't get and
- 9:57Speaker 3: then all of a sudden, the better house comes along
- 9:59Speaker 3: the way.
- 10:00Speaker 2: This all makes sense to me.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Uh, the you were just gonna go down there and
- 10:03Speaker 3: you didn't think you're ready for love or not, or
- 10:05Speaker 3: maybe you were going down there with the wrong intentions.
- 10:09Speaker 2: That part, I'd say, come on, let you just go.
- 10:12Speaker 2: But you mentioned that you.
- 10:14Speaker 3: You're not ready to discuss it, but we'll discuss it
- 10:16Speaker 3: enough that you're comfortable with. You didn't go on Paradise
- 10:21Speaker 3: because of kind of going back and forth with them
- 10:23Speaker 3: and ultimately said, hey, not for us, that's fair. But
- 10:27Speaker 3: then you mentioned that you you might just be like
- 10:29Speaker 3: in a romantic relationship or dating now since Paradise started filming?
- 10:37Speaker 2: Is that true or not true? Okay?
- 10:39Speaker 5: How many dates?
- 10:43Speaker 4: I'm not talking about you guys.
- 10:46Speaker 5: You guys give.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Really really probing questions.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Is I love that?
- 10:56Speaker 5: Okay, you don't have to talk about it any further.
- 10:58Speaker 5: Several dates? But you would you or would you not
- 11:00Speaker 5: call each other girlfriend and boyfriend?
- 11:04Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, not not yet.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Okay, that's fair. And how did you meet? Oh my gosh,
- 11:10Speaker 5: just last one, last one? And then we'll talk about Gary.
- 11:14Speaker 6: Oh yeah, let's were with that guy. That's really why
- 11:17Speaker 6: we're here. It was their dating website.
- 11:20Speaker 3: So okay, okay, we're not here to talk about Gary.
- 11:34Speaker 2: We're here to talk about you, Teresa g. Gary is
- 11:36Speaker 2: just a.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Part of your story along the way. All of this
- 11:39Speaker 3: is connected to you as a person, right We as
- 11:42Speaker 3: a podcast and as a fan base, we're very excited.
- 11:46Speaker 2: To potentially see you, you.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Know, have a chance to find love again in Paradise.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Obviously that's where we started this thing. It didn't happen. Uh,
- 11:53Speaker 3: it is exciting for us. There's we're not there. There's
- 11:56Speaker 3: nothing negative that's going to come from the idea that
- 11:58Speaker 3: you were out there dating again and that you're willing
- 12:01Speaker 3: to even say that you've been on multiple days with somebody.
- 12:03Speaker 3: That's exciting for the fans, the listeners, and for us.
- 12:06Speaker 3: We want that for you. We don't want to see
- 12:08Speaker 3: you not find the thing you're looking for. But the
- 12:12Speaker 3: Gary situation is interesting right now because he did, you know,
- 12:16Speaker 3: announce that he is dating somebody new. And here's where
- 12:20Speaker 3: I get confused, and I'm just asking for clarity because
- 12:23Speaker 3: I have no idea what's happening here when you know,
- 12:26Speaker 3: he obviously also has made headlines for his you know,
- 12:29Speaker 3: health announcement that he came out with. I think it's
- 12:32Speaker 3: been probably five months that he's announced that he does
- 12:36Speaker 3: have cancer. That was something that he talked to you
- 12:39Speaker 3: about that you were aware of during the breakup. There
- 12:44Speaker 3: was a quote that he had that said that part
- 12:47Speaker 3: of your divorce was due to his.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Health concerns or his health status. You have came out
- 12:56Speaker 2: and said that's not at all the case. So where
- 12:59Speaker 2: is the communication coming in. I think listeners would love
- 13:02Speaker 2: to know and get clarity on was that actually a factor,
- 13:07Speaker 2: was it not, And if it wasn't, why not It
- 13:10Speaker 2: was a.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Zero factor for any zero Absolutely.
- 13:12Speaker 6: I was just so surprised that he even said that
- 13:15Speaker 6: I knew about the cancer a long time ago. And
- 13:19Speaker 6: the way Gary presented it to me was that the
- 13:21Speaker 6: doctor said that I'm going to die.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Of old age before this cancer gets to me.
- 13:26Speaker 6: He like bluffed it off, like it really wasn't that important,
- 13:29Speaker 6: and he had no symptoms and he still doesn't, And
- 13:32Speaker 6: so we never had a conversation that said, oh my gosh,
- 13:36Speaker 6: you're sick.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I can't stay with you now I have to leave.
- 13:39Speaker 4: That never happened.
- 13:41Speaker 6: So what he said in print in that article, I
- 13:44Speaker 6: guess it was us weekly or is it people?
- 13:48Speaker 4: It was people.
- 13:49Speaker 6: They interviewed him the day before they interviewed me, and
- 13:52Speaker 6: right before my interview they contacted me and they said, hey,
- 13:55Speaker 6: we want to talk to you right now, because Gary
- 13:57Speaker 6: just came out and said that his illness was the
- 13:59Speaker 6: reason you broke up. And I go what I said, No,
- 14:02Speaker 6: it wasn't that. There was zero conversation about that being
- 14:05Speaker 6: in it. So if that was the reason, it was
- 14:08Speaker 6: in his mind only never discussed and never discussed as
- 14:13Speaker 6: a reason. He said, it weighed heavily. It was a
- 14:17Speaker 6: factor that weighed heavily into my decision. And I would
- 14:20Speaker 6: imagine in Thereesa's too, he just imagined.
- 14:24Speaker 4: But it had nothing to do with it. Nothing. I
- 14:27Speaker 4: would have never left.
- 14:28Speaker 6: My husband over in illness. I stayed with my husband, Billy.
- 14:31Speaker 6: I mean for years he was sick and you pissed
- 14:35Speaker 6: way at home. He was on hospice. I mean, it
- 14:37Speaker 6: was really pretty bad. But I would never leave. That's
- 14:42Speaker 6: just not me. That wouldn't happen. So no, And I
- 14:45Speaker 6: almost thought, why did he come out with that and
- 14:48Speaker 6: say that? Now, why would he come out with that
- 14:50Speaker 6: as a reason, Because there was a reason given as
- 14:54Speaker 6: to location then there was a reason about that he
- 14:58Speaker 6: was sick and then he wanted to be home with
- 15:00Speaker 6: his family. That I think in the end, it really
- 15:05Speaker 6: just didn't work out. And the reason that it ended
- 15:09Speaker 6: so quickly really and I said this before, I would
- 15:12Speaker 6: have let it go on longer. I would have waited
- 15:15Speaker 6: until Jones season had a chance, you know, before putting
- 15:19Speaker 6: a damper on that season and making that announcement. I
- 15:22Speaker 6: would have waited. But he wanted to do it right away.
- 15:25Speaker 6: I mean, we had already made the decision. He wanted
- 15:27Speaker 6: to make the announcement right away. And I feel, Okay,
- 15:33Speaker 6: when you're young, maybe you stay in relationships that don't
- 15:36Speaker 6: work longer than you should. But when you're older, you
- 15:39Speaker 6: really learn that lesson that if it's not working, then
- 15:44Speaker 6: you give that person a chance to go find someone
- 15:47Speaker 6: with whom it really will work. And so I really
- 15:49Speaker 6: am happy for him. And if he had to find
- 15:52Speaker 6: his person by going this circuitous route, then he did.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Then it worked.
- 15:57Speaker 6: Then it was successful, and I'm you know, he found
- 16:00Speaker 6: someone that really suits him, and I that's wonderful. So
- 16:05Speaker 6: I think it worked out the way it was supposed
- 16:06Speaker 6: to work out.
- 16:07Speaker 5: As Ben says, I would have been so annoyed if
- 16:12Speaker 5: he publicly had said that one of the reasons we
- 16:16Speaker 5: split was because of my cancer. Did you confront him
- 16:21Speaker 5: about this?
- 16:22Speaker 6: It's horrible that I didn't. I didn't say to him,
- 16:25Speaker 6: why did you say that? And yeah, so I really,
- 16:29Speaker 6: I honestly do need to confront him about it. Why
- 16:32Speaker 6: would you say that? But the way the way it
- 16:36Speaker 6: read was that it was in his mind it factored
- 16:38Speaker 6: into his decisions, So he just assumed that it factored
- 16:42Speaker 6: into mine when it had nothing to do with it.
- 16:45Speaker 6: And maybe he just wanted I don't know, did he
- 16:47Speaker 6: want empathy from the public.
- 16:49Speaker 4: I don't know what it was. And that sort of.
- 16:52Speaker 6: Speaks to that to me, to say he wanted the
- 16:56Speaker 6: public to finally understand, to give some ret why we
- 17:01Speaker 6: weren't together. And he said, I hope this helps people
- 17:04Speaker 6: understand why we broke up.
- 17:06Speaker 4: It certainly didn't.
- 17:08Speaker 6: And when they interviewed me and my interviews somehow get buried.
- 17:12Speaker 4: His gets a lot of press, and.
- 17:14Speaker 6: I said, and I said, absolutely not. I was so
- 17:18Speaker 6: surprised that he said that that wasn't the reason. So
- 17:21Speaker 6: I've never ever said what the reason is. But right
- 17:26Speaker 6: now I decided to start writing about it. I don't
- 17:29Speaker 6: know if I'll ever release it. It might just be
- 17:31Speaker 6: for me, it might be just be my memoirs. I
- 17:34Speaker 6: don't know how it's going to work out. It's slow
- 17:36Speaker 6: going because I work full time. But I really I've
- 17:39Speaker 6: been watching the show again. I think it was the
- 17:42Speaker 6: show was spectacular. I think we made history. It was amazing,
- 17:46Speaker 6: and I'm trying to I'm watching each scene trying to
- 17:49Speaker 6: remember exactly what I was feeling and how this all
- 17:53Speaker 6: unfolded and how this yeah, how this happened, you know,
- 17:56Speaker 6: and it happened so quickly.
- 17:58Speaker 4: We've been on the show, right.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Think I've never heard of before somebody rewatching their own
- 18:02Speaker 5: season after the breakup.
- 18:04Speaker 4: I'm studying it.
- 18:06Speaker 6: Yeah, really, I wonder if anybody.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Haska Kaylin's doing it right now, Ashley, Oh yeah, after
- 18:12Speaker 3: you're right after the breakup.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not uncommon, Teresa.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Like an idea, you spend as much time as you
- 18:22Speaker 3: want writing down all of your thoughts and processing everything,
- 18:26Speaker 3: and you know what, give it the best shot. See
- 18:28Speaker 3: if somebody will publish it and pay you a ton
- 18:31Speaker 3: of money to put that book out there. If they don't,
- 18:34Speaker 3: almost famous, it will give you as many episodes as
- 18:37Speaker 3: you want where you can host this thing alone, or
- 18:40Speaker 3: you can get us to ask you the probing questions
- 18:42Speaker 3: that we ask we would get. We will get your
- 18:46Speaker 3: story out there to the public. So the offers on
- 18:49Speaker 3: the table if you want it. This is a platform
- 18:52Speaker 3: that is wide open for you to share your story
- 18:55Speaker 3: as much and as often as you want. Or you
- 18:57Speaker 3: know what, Ashley and I, over nine years of doing this,
- 19:01Speaker 3: have become very amateur mediators. And if you ever want
- 19:04Speaker 3: Gary to come on here with you and we sit
- 19:06Speaker 3: down and walk you guys through a conversation and pick
- 19:09Speaker 3: apart the things that don't make sense, we can do
- 19:13Speaker 3: that too, and hopefully at the end it's healing and
- 19:15Speaker 3: it puts you both in a good light.
- 19:17Speaker 6: Yeah, you guys don't allow me to be anything but
- 19:20Speaker 6: so real.
- 19:21Speaker 4: It's really it's tough.
- 19:23Speaker 6: But Gary's coming out with his books, right and my
- 19:26Speaker 6: biggest fear is that he's going to promulgate theories that
- 19:30Speaker 6: I don't agree with or things that I don't agree with,
- 19:34Speaker 6: and so that will be tough if that happens. I
- 19:37Speaker 6: don't know, I have no idea what he's writing.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I hope not, because you know, one of the things
- 19:42Speaker 3: in this world. And you know your breakups are highlighted
- 19:46Speaker 3: in a way that happens.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Nowhere else in the world in real life.
- 19:50Speaker 3: And you know, when it comes to breakups, there's the truth,
- 19:55Speaker 3: your truth and his truth. You know, it's always somewhere
- 19:57Speaker 3: in the middle that the real situation happens. You guys
- 20:00Speaker 3: will both have revisionist history looking back on that relationship.
- 20:04Speaker 2: You both will have rights and wrongs that you remember.
- 20:08Speaker 3: And so I think it is helpful, especially in a
- 20:11Speaker 3: situation like this, And that's where this question comes in.
- 20:14Speaker 3: How does it make you feel? Obviously, you just mentioned
- 20:18Speaker 3: that you stayed with your husband as he was sick
- 20:21Speaker 3: for years. This comes out and we don't know Gary's
- 20:26Speaker 3: intentions to why he said what he said.
- 20:28Speaker 2: You'd have to ask him for that.
- 20:29Speaker 3: But this obviously is read or the clickbait is read
- 20:32Speaker 3: as a way of Teresa and I separated because of
- 20:36Speaker 3: my health concerns, which isn't a great marker on you.
- 20:40Speaker 3: How does that make you feel as a person reading
- 20:43Speaker 3: that and processing it?
- 20:45Speaker 6: Absolutely horrible and for and I read comments about how
- 20:50Speaker 6: bad I was that.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Oh, I thought it was till death to us part.
- 20:53Speaker 6: Oh, she was only in it for the fame or
- 20:55Speaker 6: the money, and so it made me feel so so.
- 21:01Speaker 4: I was really angry.
- 21:02Speaker 6: I was angry that he would say something like that.
- 21:05Speaker 6: But then I am such an understanding person and I
- 21:10Speaker 6: can put myself easily in someone else's shoes. So I
- 21:13Speaker 6: tried to see it from his perspective, and I thought, Okay,
- 21:16Speaker 6: if that's in his mind, then I guess that's how
- 21:19Speaker 6: he sees it. Everyone has their own perception of what
- 21:23Speaker 6: of what happened.
- 21:25Speaker 4: You know, I know exactly what happened. Here's the worst.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Thing about it is that we really never had the
- 21:32Speaker 6: conversation that led to the breakup. We didn't have that conversation.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Things just happened, and I internalized a lot of it,
- 21:41Speaker 6: and it was just at one point that Gary said
- 21:43Speaker 6: this isn't going to work out, is it? And that
- 21:46Speaker 6: was the end of it and nothing, nothing was discussed,
- 21:49Speaker 6: and not one discussion about his being ill being the reason.
- 21:54Speaker 4: It's just I don't know, So I don't know.
- 21:57Speaker 6: You'd have to ask Gary why he said that and
- 21:59Speaker 6: why he put that out there. But then that's what
- 22:01Speaker 6: makes me get concerned about what he could possibly say
- 22:04Speaker 6: in a book, what he's going to say, I don't know.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Do you think he's always trying to look like the
- 22:08Speaker 5: good guy?
- 22:09Speaker 4: I think that, Yes.
- 22:11Speaker 6: I think he got a lot of bad press after
- 22:14Speaker 6: the breakup, and I think he's trying to get in everyone,
- 22:18Speaker 6: you know, back in everyone's good graces. And I don't
- 22:20Speaker 6: blame him, and so that I guess that would make
- 22:24Speaker 6: him look you know, he'd be the sympathetic, you know
- 22:27Speaker 6: person like everyone would be have empathy for him. And
- 22:30Speaker 6: after he came out and said that, so many people
- 22:33Speaker 6: I saw on Collins were asking him, how are you
- 22:36Speaker 6: how is the treatment going, and he's saying, there's no treatment,
- 22:39Speaker 6: there's no symptoms.
- 22:40Speaker 4: And he knew that.
- 22:42Speaker 6: He knew that, like, when are the symptoms going to
- 22:44Speaker 6: show up? Are they ever going to going to show up?
- 22:46Speaker 6: I hope they never do.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Hope he lives a long, healthy, happy life.
- 22:50Speaker 6: I hope what he said to me that he was
- 22:53Speaker 6: going to die of old age before this would ever
- 22:55Speaker 6: get him is actually what does happen. So don't use
- 22:59Speaker 6: that as the for the breakup. Yeah, it was never
- 23:04Speaker 6: oh my god, you're sick. I can't stay with you.
- 23:06Speaker 6: I'm like, God, this is horrible. No, there was No,
- 23:08Speaker 6: there was no conversation like that, so I was Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 6: so I was so surprised, and I've never come out
- 23:15Speaker 6: with a reason, right.
- 23:16Speaker 4: I just.
- 23:18Speaker 6: The day after we broke up, I did put out
- 23:22Speaker 6: a post that said, don't cry because it's over, be
- 23:26Speaker 6: happy because it happened or something whatever that quote is.
- 23:30Speaker 6: And he was upset that I didn't win the Pooh.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah you got a Winny yay.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Yeah, that question read winning the Boo Books to my son.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Now as this closes this chapter, and you know, I think,
- 23:47Speaker 3: for everybody's sake, you're obviously out there dating. He's dating.
- 23:50Speaker 3: The breakup happened. As you look back now at this
- 23:55Speaker 3: current place that you're in and you think about your
- 23:58Speaker 3: relationship with Gary, what's the word you'd use currently to
- 24:02Speaker 3: describe it a little distant?
- 24:06Speaker 6: We're not really, you know, he really does want to
- 24:10Speaker 6: talk to me a lot. I mean, he wants to
- 24:12Speaker 6: keep the friendship going. But I really haven't reciprocated, So
- 24:17Speaker 6: I guess it's it's me. I would say, Also, like
- 24:20Speaker 6: since the show, I've been a lot more at peace
- 24:23Speaker 6: with myself. I think maybe before the show, I felt
- 24:26Speaker 6: a little bit more restless, like something was really missing
- 24:29Speaker 6: in my life.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, and now I want more. Okay.
- 24:34Speaker 6: So in your mind when you're your age, you're like
- 24:36Speaker 6: thirty six, thirty seven something like that. Okay, so you
- 24:41Speaker 6: see an infinite road ahead of you, like you feel
- 24:44Speaker 6: like I remember thinking in my own mind, the end of.
- 24:46Speaker 4: My life is so so far away. At this age,
- 24:50Speaker 4: you see it closer, it's shorter.
- 24:53Speaker 6: But I still think they're infinite possibilities, even though I've
- 24:57Speaker 6: already lived more of my life than I'm going to live.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Most likely I'm not going to live in other seventy years,
- 25:03Speaker 6: but I do still I have a very optimistic nature.
- 25:06Speaker 6: I always think the best of everything. And so now
- 25:10Speaker 6: like if I'm gardening, or I'm picking out stocks, or
- 25:12Speaker 6: I'm playing with my grandsons, or I'm talking to my
- 25:15Speaker 6: daughter talking to my son, I really am feeling like
- 25:17Speaker 6: I'm living more in the moment, because when you live
- 25:19Speaker 6: in the moment, you're letting that moment last longer. It's
- 25:23Speaker 6: you know, you're when you're young sometimes and I don't
- 25:26Speaker 6: you're learning these lessons now because you have families, and
- 25:29Speaker 6: when you're young, you're thinking of the next thing, and
- 25:31Speaker 6: what's the next thing, and what's the next thing. I've
- 25:32Speaker 6: got to accomplish this. But now, but it's not about that.
- 25:35Speaker 6: It's about people, it's about love, it's about living in
- 25:39Speaker 6: the moment. So it's all that I took up golf.
- 25:42Speaker 6: I'm playing golf, I'm playing pickleball, doing things.
- 25:45Speaker 5: So that's great. Yeah, that's really good advice and something
- 25:50Speaker 5: I've really never really thought of. No. I it's because
- 25:54Speaker 5: you always think at this age, like, oh, I have
- 25:56Speaker 5: so much life, you know this to do that you
- 25:58Speaker 5: don't think about how you look at it or if
- 26:01Speaker 5: that'll ever change. That's interesting that you found it.
- 26:03Speaker 6: I think you're at a young age you think it. Yeah,
- 26:06Speaker 6: you think that there's it's never going to end. And
- 26:09Speaker 6: now at this age you do see it. But but
- 26:12Speaker 6: that's what the show is all about, that we still
- 26:14Speaker 6: have so much energy and so much life. And these
- 26:17Speaker 6: are women, you know, who kept themselves in good health
- 26:20Speaker 6: and did interesting.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Things and all my life.
- 26:22Speaker 6: I look on Instagram now and I look at women
- 26:24Speaker 6: who are doing facial massages.
- 26:26Speaker 4: I've done that.
- 26:27Speaker 6: I've been doing it since I'm thirty years old. I
- 26:30Speaker 6: do facial exercises, I massage my face. But it's been
- 26:33Speaker 6: going on since I'm a really young person, so I
- 26:36Speaker 6: could tell you that it works. And so you know,
- 26:39Speaker 6: this is a whole world that opened up for me.
- 26:42Speaker 6: I have I walk down the street, people know me,
- 26:45Speaker 6: they say hello. It's a it's a nice new experience
- 26:50Speaker 6: for me. Not that I love the fame, but I
- 26:53Speaker 6: love the fact that now there's a community and a
- 26:55Speaker 6: connection and I connect more with people. And why didn't
- 26:58Speaker 6: I do that before when I just walked down the
- 27:00Speaker 6: street and strike up conversations with people. And I will
- 27:04Speaker 6: tell you, I'm having two of the Golden Women come
- 27:07Speaker 6: to my home this year, separately to different visitors, and
- 27:11Speaker 6: then I'm going to visit Leslie again. So I'm going
- 27:15Speaker 6: to be doing some things.
- 27:26Speaker 2: There's good things.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Teresa came from the show, and I think one of
- 27:30Speaker 3: the biggest benefits of the Golden is that we saw
- 27:33Speaker 3: friendships form at this golden age of life, and we
- 27:37Speaker 3: saw this energy and excitement expressed for this golden age
- 27:41Speaker 3: of life. And I think that is something to be
- 27:43Speaker 3: so proud of. You have a lot of things to
- 27:45Speaker 3: be proud of.
- 27:47Speaker 2: You know this.
- 27:48Speaker 3: When we were planning for this earlier, this question was
- 27:51Speaker 3: coming from a different place. But you aren't willing to
- 27:55Speaker 3: discuss and detail your current relationship even though you're dating.
- 27:59Speaker 2: And so I I'm going to.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Ask these questions like you're completely single, and you answer
- 28:03Speaker 3: them how you want. Okay, But we do have another
- 28:06Speaker 3: Golden season coming up. It was the Golden Bachelor. It's
- 28:08Speaker 3: actually other than Paradise, the only bachelor show that has
- 28:12Speaker 3: been confirmed to be going to be on air at
- 28:16Speaker 3: some point in the next year, which is a wild
- 28:19Speaker 3: thought to think about. But Mel was announced as the
- 28:22Speaker 3: Golden Bachelor. I want to hear your thoughts after kind
- 28:24Speaker 3: of seeing him announce. I know there is probably a
- 28:27Speaker 3: tech stread with some of the ladies from the show.
- 28:30Speaker 3: What are some of their thoughts. What's the general consensus
- 28:34Speaker 3: of Mel.
- 28:36Speaker 6: He's very good looking, he's hot, He's got a lot
- 28:39Speaker 6: going on for him. Everybody thinks he is attractive. I
- 28:45Speaker 6: think he's great, you know what. I have the feeling,
- 28:49Speaker 6: and I don't know if I'm right. I have no
- 28:51Speaker 6: idea that the women will generally be younger and that
- 28:54Speaker 6: there will be nobody who's my age on the show.
- 28:57Speaker 6: That's what I think.
- 28:58Speaker 5: Good. No, you mean you were on the older side
- 29:01Speaker 5: because you said you're seventy now you're what you're seventy
- 29:03Speaker 5: something now seventy.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Two in August. But the age range.
- 29:07Speaker 6: Was that you had to be at least sixty five.
- 29:10Speaker 6: But then they expanded it because they couldn't find enough
- 29:13Speaker 6: of women at that age range, so they went down
- 29:15Speaker 6: to sixty.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Oh interesting tidbit did not know that, ye, so then it.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Was there were ten women who were sixty.
- 29:21Speaker 6: And I remember, like when I have my hometowns, I
- 29:24Speaker 6: was telling my sisters, I go, I'm competing with sixty
- 29:26Speaker 6: year old's, like you know, and that seems that older
- 29:29Speaker 6: everybody else that I was seventy. I had just turned
- 29:32Speaker 6: seventy and now it's been so long.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Now I'm going to be seventy eighty two. So that's what.
- 29:38Speaker 6: I imagine that it will be. And I hope, I
- 29:41Speaker 6: don't know, will he find somebody who's in his state.
- 29:44Speaker 6: Maybe that's going to happen. Maybe they'll find more women
- 29:48Speaker 6: closer to him. I don't know, but that's what I'm anticipating.
- 29:52Speaker 6: I'm really I look forward to it so much. I mean,
- 29:54Speaker 6: of course, I'm looking forward to Paradise so much, that's
- 29:57Speaker 6: the first thing.
- 29:57Speaker 4: But I do that's what.
- 29:59Speaker 6: My I'm imagining that the age range will be younger,
- 30:03Speaker 6: that they're going to skew it younger.
- 30:06Speaker 4: And also because his wife was much younger, So that makes.
- 30:10Speaker 5: Me think that how much do you think it'll be
- 30:13Speaker 5: a different season because he was divorced and not a
- 30:16Speaker 5: widow or a widow or yeah.
- 30:18Speaker 4: So different, way different. I think that was the main
- 30:22Speaker 4: thing of the show.
- 30:22Speaker 6: I mean, the show had so much heart because Gary
- 30:26Speaker 6: was so sad all the time and he cried so much,
- 30:29Speaker 6: and so the difference is going to be that I
- 30:31Speaker 6: don't think we're going to find somebody crying all the time,
- 30:35Speaker 6: So I think it will be more maybe more like
- 30:38Speaker 6: a young traditional bachelor type show than an older one.
- 30:42Speaker 6: I think they played on and I think the show
- 30:45Speaker 6: was so well done. They played on the fact that
- 30:47Speaker 6: he was older, that he lost his wife, so it
- 30:49Speaker 6: was a lot of sympathy for the main character, and
- 30:54Speaker 6: that played heavily into it. And who would have known
- 30:56Speaker 6: that Gary was going to cry so often that he
- 31:01Speaker 6: cried he I guess I don't know if he knew
- 31:02Speaker 6: that he was going to cry that much. So I
- 31:05Speaker 6: think it'll be I don't really know mel that well.
- 31:08Speaker 4: I don't know him at all.
- 31:09Speaker 5: Oh that well interesting. Do you have you spoken to him?
- 31:12Speaker 6: No?
- 31:13Speaker 4: No, no, I don't know him at all.
- 31:14Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Then, I don't know.
- 31:16Speaker 6: I think it's going to be going from one that's
- 31:18Speaker 6: very emotional to not because what are you going to do?
- 31:22Speaker 6: Go back to his wife and look at his wife
- 31:24Speaker 6: these divorce that. I don't think that's going to happen.
- 31:27Speaker 4: But maybe there will be women who have lost their.
- 31:30Speaker 6: Spouses and maybe back in the emotion into it, because yeah,
- 31:34Speaker 6: and that will drop people in.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Is there anybody from your season or is currently down
- 31:40Speaker 5: in Paradise that you could see joining his season because
- 31:44Speaker 5: they're so attracted to him?
- 31:46Speaker 6: Oh? Yeah, sure, yeah I did. Oh.
- 31:51Speaker 4: I don't want to name names. I don't want to
- 31:52Speaker 4: put anybody on the spot, but yeah, I would think that.
- 31:55Speaker 6: I think that any of the women who are not
- 31:58Speaker 6: attached would love to be on the show.
- 32:00Speaker 4: That would Yeah, would they ever do that?
- 32:02Speaker 5: Especially with the they did it with Ben right back?
- 32:05Speaker 5: Oh my god, I had two girls from a previous
- 32:07Speaker 5: season on Ben's.
- 32:08Speaker 4: Oh okay, they do it.
- 32:11Speaker 3: This would be exciting to see people get a second
- 32:13Speaker 3: chance at love. Damn teresays, we close up with you
- 32:17Speaker 3: here Paradise is obviously going to be airing here coming
- 32:21Speaker 3: up soon. Do you have I'm gonna kind of rapid
- 32:24Speaker 3: fire some questions at you. First off, you have fomo,
- 32:28Speaker 3: the fear of missing out as this show begins to
- 32:32Speaker 3: air and you were not there.
- 32:34Speaker 6: I'm waiting to see it start, and I think then
- 32:36Speaker 6: that's when I'll know whether or not I have fomo.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I probably have a bit of it. I probably do.
- 32:41Speaker 6: And once I see, Okay, it wasn't as bad as
- 32:45Speaker 6: I thought it was, you don't really have to fall
- 32:47Speaker 6: in love. If that really happens where you don't really
- 32:49Speaker 6: have to fall in love with anybody, I'll say, oh, darn,
- 32:52Speaker 6: I should have done it. Why did I told them
- 32:53Speaker 6: I didn't want to do this? So and that's the thing, like,
- 32:57Speaker 6: I want to be clear. In the end they said
- 32:59Speaker 6: no to me. But was it because I said I
- 33:02Speaker 6: don't want to do it?
- 33:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't do that now.
- 33:06Speaker 3: If there's a dream relationship, uh, it's it's not a
- 33:09Speaker 3: secret kind of who's been down there? Yeah, but we
- 33:13Speaker 3: don't have to confirm or deny anybody that you know
- 33:15Speaker 3: being down there. But if there's like a dream golden relationship,
- 33:20Speaker 3: who would that be for you based on the people
- 33:23Speaker 3: that we think would people that.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Would be down there. Yeah, mmm, maybe Keith and Leslie.
- 33:33Speaker 4: I don't know, maybe.
- 33:35Speaker 5: Oh, Keith and Leslie. Well, I would imagine that you
- 33:37Speaker 5: would have heard from Leslie they wrapped filming.
- 33:40Speaker 6: Okay, I heard from Leslie, but I asked her nothing. Okay,
- 33:45Speaker 6: I expected the NDA and sus I want to be surprised.
- 33:48Speaker 4: I didn't ask her anything, so I really don't know.
- 33:51Speaker 5: But you didn't ask her whether she found someone?
- 33:55Speaker 4: No, I didn't.
- 33:57Speaker 6: Gracious, I know because I know the sign NDA's I
- 34:01Speaker 6: don't want her to get in trouble, and I really
- 34:03Speaker 6: wanted to just be surprised about it. And you know,
- 34:06Speaker 6: I of course always want her to be extremely happy
- 34:11Speaker 6: and to wish the best for her. So I hope
- 34:13Speaker 6: that happened for her. That would be amazing. So that's
- 34:16Speaker 6: my skepticism going into it. So just you can hold
- 34:19Speaker 6: me to this that I would think that there wouldn't
- 34:23Speaker 6: be any any love relationships among these people. That's that's
- 34:27Speaker 6: how I feel. But I want to be proven wrong.
- 34:31Speaker 6: I want someone to say, I want to see that
- 34:33Speaker 6: I'm wrong. No, you're you're wrong, Teresa. There is these
- 34:37Speaker 6: two people got together. They're absolutely in love. They're together,
- 34:40Speaker 6: and wow, I'd be so happy for them. So yeah,
- 34:45Speaker 6: and so I probably shouldn't have admitted that, but that's
- 34:49Speaker 6: how I feel, and that's that was part of me
- 34:52Speaker 6: thinking that I shouldn't go on the show.
- 34:54Speaker 5: My final question for you is do you see any
- 34:58Speaker 5: of the age gap really relationships happening? Because Jesse and
- 35:02Speaker 5: Wells said in the headline yesterday that they would be
- 35:05Speaker 5: interested to see that, and they obviously know what actually happened.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Well, so I know.
- 35:12Speaker 6: There is probably one person on the show that I
- 35:14Speaker 6: think might have an age gap relationship. But do I
- 35:17Speaker 6: I think that they would probably respect the different ages
- 35:22Speaker 6: and not want to tamper with the young people because
- 35:26Speaker 6: they would want to leave the young men to the
- 35:28Speaker 6: young women. But if anybody's going to do would be April.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I mean, thank you, that's not shocking, right, April.
- 35:37Speaker 2: We could see doing it.
- 35:38Speaker 6: She's got the young spirit, she's got this very fairy
- 35:41Speaker 6: tale like spirit, and you know, if anyone would do it,
- 35:45Speaker 6: and I don't know, is that do you think it's
- 35:46Speaker 6: going to happen? Do you think they're going to cross lines?
- 35:49Speaker 3: Do I think they're going to do it, Yes, because
- 35:50Speaker 3: I think the host of the show and the bartender,
- 35:53Speaker 3: you know, co host of the show wells, when they
- 35:56Speaker 3: come out with a statement like this, it's foreshadowing something
- 35:59Speaker 3: to happen in the future. I think it's the only
- 36:02Speaker 3: reason they say what they said.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Uh. It gets people talking. So yes, I think they're
- 36:07Speaker 2: going to do it.
- 36:08Speaker 3: I think we're going to see age gap relationships happen
- 36:10Speaker 3: in Paradise.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Will the fans like it? I don't know.
- 36:16Speaker 6: Well, okay, that's exciting.
- 36:18Speaker 4: I didn't think that we should have a bet on that.
- 36:21Speaker 5: I don't think it'll be serious. I think there might
- 36:23Speaker 5: be one date.
- 36:24Speaker 6: This is my Okay, maybe that'll happen. It's exciting. I
- 36:29Speaker 6: can't wait to see it. I'm sure you can't wait either.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Well, Teresa, Yes, we are excited for the season. We
- 36:35Speaker 5: wish we could have seen you down there, but until
- 36:38Speaker 5: until we see you again, we wish you the best.
- 36:42Speaker 5: That this new boy boy something something goes well. Thank you,
- 36:48Speaker 5: and we hope that Gary's book doesn't you know, it
- 36:51Speaker 5: doesn't reveal too much.
- 36:54Speaker 4: All right, thank you so much. I love you guys.
- 36:57Speaker 4: You're the best.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Yes, and you know what I want to tell you this,
- 37:03Speaker 3: when options and opportunities come up, don't let fear of
- 37:07Speaker 3: the unknown get in your way. Next time, paradise happens.
- 37:11Speaker 3: And if you're single, I hope this relationship flourishes for you.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Say yes, you should do it.
- 37:16Speaker 6: That was what was said to me by the producer. Well,
- 37:18Speaker 6: if you're not interested in this year, keep it in
- 37:20Speaker 6: mind for next year. So thank you.
- 37:22Speaker 4: I appreciate yes, appreciate you coming.
- 37:27Speaker 3: This has been the almost famous podcast with Teresa Nist.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Great episode, great interview. I think you can read between
- 37:33Speaker 3: the lines Ashley and a lot of what was said
- 37:37Speaker 3: and pick up on a lot of things that maybe
- 37:40Speaker 3: weren't communicated, but you can kind of hear. That's why
- 37:44Speaker 3: I pushed you at the beginning and say, hey, this
- 37:46Speaker 3: this doesn't feel like a real answer. This feels like
- 37:49Speaker 3: a fake answer, feels like an answer that you thought
- 37:51Speaker 3: about giving us, and that we probably just sit here
- 37:53Speaker 3: and be like, oh, okay, yeah that makes sense.
- 37:55Speaker 2: No, it doesn't make sense.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Why don't you go Well, we found out she's dating
- 37:59Speaker 3: somebody the show actually said no to her after she
- 38:02Speaker 3: flip five back and forth, and that she still has
- 38:05Speaker 3: this kind of internal desire to be in paradise, but
- 38:09Speaker 3: fear got in the way. I hope for her nothing
- 38:13Speaker 3: but great things moving forward. I also hope for her
- 38:15Speaker 3: that she does come back on the Almost Famous podcast
- 38:18Speaker 3: and explain the whole story of the Gary breakup, because
- 38:21Speaker 3: it sounds like there's.
- 38:22Speaker 2: More than we know.
- 38:23Speaker 6: Oh.
- 38:24Speaker 5: She has now for two podcasts alluded to there being
- 38:29Speaker 5: one specific thing that she will not reveal, and if
- 38:31Speaker 5: Gary does reveal it in his book, which I would
- 38:34Speaker 5: imagine the publisher will want him to do, she I
- 38:39Speaker 5: feel confident, might come to us and give her a
- 38:42Speaker 5: side of the story.
- 38:43Speaker 3: It would be so fun. Well, hey, until next time,
- 38:45Speaker 3: I've been Been, I've Been Ashley.
