- 1:23Speaker 4: Well, it's the pleasure speaking to you from the other
- 1:26Speaker 4: side of ass had second term, well at least the
- 1:29Speaker 4: first year. We made it here on WRTR Real Talk Radio.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Thanks for joining us again. You can call me R.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Smooth and my name is Miss Link Bravado. Hey y'all,
- 1:38Speaker 1: what's up? Happy New Years?
- 1:41Speaker 4: We made it? We made it Blackness, Like, how you feeling, Queen?
- 1:45Speaker 1: I am feeling phenomenal? Are you just very blessed that,
- 1:50Speaker 1: you know, even through the chaotic stuff of the Orange
- 1:56Speaker 1: Man in DC and this a whole again, we still
- 2:00Speaker 1: made it through.
- 2:01Speaker 4: We did. We did, we did, and there's something to
- 2:05Speaker 4: be said for that. So I guess like, well, last
- 2:11Speaker 4: year on you know, our first year, I'm sorry, our
- 2:14Speaker 4: first show of the year, we had just started talking
- 2:17Speaker 4: about just normal stuff. So I want to continue that tradition.
- 2:20Speaker 4: So we're going to separate this week from you know,
- 2:23Speaker 4: our traditional structure and segmented kind of stuff and just
- 2:28Speaker 4: have a conversation. So yeah, with that, tell me about
- 2:32Speaker 4: your holiday, Miss Lyric.
- 2:35Speaker 1: With another very quiet, very chill didn't really do too much. Honestly,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I did have a show for a New Year's Eve,
- 2:44Speaker 1: which was in Woodbridge, Virginia.
- 2:49Speaker 4: At I saw the advertisements from it.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yeah, but you gotta have a conversation.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Uh already, let's start this year off on a positive note. Nah,
- 3:04Speaker 4: fuck that I got some.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I really do. Because why is the go go community
- 3:13Speaker 1: the only genre of music that has so much unprofessionalism?
- 3:20Speaker 4: Now, when you say unprofessionalism, do you mean like unprofessionalism?
- 3:24Speaker 4: As far as.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I'm talking about all across the board, I'm talking about bands,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I'm talking about management, I'm talking about promoters, I'm talking
- 3:33Speaker 1: about sound man, I'm talking about as far as the
- 3:37Speaker 1: entire genre is concerned in front of and behind the scenes. Okay, Wow,
- 3:45Speaker 1: Apparently I am not the only one with it with
- 3:48Speaker 1: this issue, and there's a lot of people who talk
- 3:51Speaker 1: about it, but one in particular, I ain't gonna say
- 3:54Speaker 1: her name, but she made a live video of how
- 3:58Speaker 1: she bought ticket it's pre sale tickets to go see
- 4:02Speaker 1: a very established band, okay, and she was told that
- 4:11Speaker 1: she couldn't get in because the promoters have overbooked and
- 4:17Speaker 1: over sold tickets for the event.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Oh oh, okay. So I've been out of party promotions
- 4:23Speaker 4: for so long that I forgot that shit like that happens.
- 4:26Speaker 1: A lot, a lot, a lot.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Oh god.
- 4:29Speaker 1: So she was turned away at the door so much
- 4:32Speaker 1: and it was so big, to the point where she
- 4:36Speaker 1: said that they told her that she and the long
- 4:41Speaker 1: line of people could not get in unless two hundred
- 4:44Speaker 1: and fifty people came out of the building. Wow, why
- 4:49Speaker 1: are you over selling a event like that?
- 4:53Speaker 4: That's a fire hazard like a mofo too, it's.
- 4:57Speaker 1: A fire hazard. And also you're gonna have some pissed
- 5:00Speaker 1: off patron who're gonna be ready to fight. I mean,
- 5:03Speaker 1: it's not just high class society people who come to
- 5:07Speaker 1: the go gos. You're gonna get the hood too, because
- 5:11Speaker 1: she also mentioned that there was a few women who
- 5:14Speaker 1: was who was wanting to wreck. Yeah, they wanted their
- 5:17Speaker 1: money right there from their pocket. They don't care. Who
- 5:21Speaker 1: got something to say about it?
- 5:22Speaker 4: Yeah, because issue refunds like pay me now, like you
- 5:30Speaker 4: wanted your money noways.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Not only that, let's speak about my event. No, I
- 5:39Speaker 1: don't have to say the two bands just because the
- 5:43Speaker 1: flyer speaks for itself. Okay, Now, we were on time,
- 5:51Speaker 1: we came ready, did our set. Guess what happens after
- 5:58Speaker 1: we do our set? Absolutely nothing because they did not
- 6:02Speaker 1: show up.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Oh, Wow. So what's wait? So was this like a
- 6:09Speaker 4: competition kind of thing? Was this? Okay? So this was
- 6:12Speaker 4: like a collective, a collaborative show.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Got celebration where they bring in the New Years. The
- 6:18Speaker 1: tickets were fifty dollars a pile. Wait, did you perform
- 6:22Speaker 1: dollars a pile?
- 6:23Speaker 4: So did they cancel or what were No?
- 6:26Speaker 1: They did not cancel. They took other gigs.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Oh, I mean you were you weren't performing at the
- 6:33Speaker 4: Trump Kennedy Center? Where you Because then I could understand
- 6:38Speaker 4: people be like probably not.
- 6:39Speaker 1: But yeah, but why but why put yourself on the card?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Why are you advertising and having people buy tickets?
- 6:46Speaker 5: God?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Like, that's fraud too.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Okay, But okay, I get that.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Both of the established bands did not come. So these
- 6:56Speaker 1: people who paid their money were expecting to see honestly
- 7:02Speaker 1: probably just them bands. But we just got put on
- 7:05Speaker 1: the card. Wow, we opened up.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Well, y'all typically put on the show. So I'm guessing
- 7:11Speaker 4: that you're about to tell me how well it went.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Of course, to the point where because the other bands
- 7:19Speaker 1: didn't didn't come or communicate what was going on to
- 7:24Speaker 1: why they wasn't there, they wanted us to get back
- 7:29Speaker 1: on the stage. However, some of our members last I
- 7:34Speaker 1: got you cause other things they had to do. They
- 7:36Speaker 1: wanted to bring the new year in their way, which
- 7:39Speaker 1: is totally fine, but this is what I'm saying, This
- 7:44Speaker 1: needs to stop. In this genre. Y'all always talk about
- 7:48Speaker 1: how y'all want to put on for the coaching, y'all
- 7:50Speaker 1: want to put on for DC, but none of y'all
- 7:51Speaker 1: are being professional. I'm not sure if you heard the
- 7:55Speaker 1: whole Christmas Netflix scandal about a backyard and the plug
- 8:03Speaker 1: in band.
- 8:03Speaker 4: I saw something like that, but I was like, this
- 8:05Speaker 4: ain't really got.
- 8:07Speaker 1: But that's that's just another That's just another thing that
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm saying. If you remain professional at all times, if
- 8:16Speaker 1: you stay ready, you never have to what get ready?
- 8:19Speaker 4: Good point.
- 8:20Speaker 1: If they said that they needed your credentials, them credentials
- 8:23Speaker 1: should have been sent over within minutes. Why because you
- 8:27Speaker 1: would have somebody in place on hand with all of
- 8:30Speaker 1: that information for everybody in your band. When you're working
- 8:35Speaker 1: with major entertainment sources like Netflix media monsters like that,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you can't be dragging your feet at all. They need
- 8:45Speaker 1: that stuff. They got to get their clearances. They have
- 8:47Speaker 1: to do what they need to do.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Yeah, you can't do CPT when you're involved with any
- 8:53Speaker 4: of these like big entities, you can't.
- 8:55Speaker 1: At all at all. So I'm not understanding why everybody
- 8:59Speaker 1: was so mad about it and up in a in
- 9:01Speaker 1: an uproar because oh, backyard couldn't do it, this, that,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and the third back yard didn't do what they were
- 9:07Speaker 1: supposed to do to get to do that event. Sorry,
- 9:13Speaker 1: so he had to get somebody else who came ready,
- 9:16Speaker 1: of course, what's the problem And everybody calling her a
- 9:21Speaker 1: trader and saying this that the third and don't wanna
- 9:23Speaker 1: stut on her name, like, no, she did what she's
- 9:26Speaker 1: supposed to do, because y'all have to remember, yes, y'all
- 9:29Speaker 1: have these relationships. Y'all grew up with each other. But
- 9:31Speaker 1: at the end of the day, she got an answer
- 9:34Speaker 1: to her boss. Right, people ain't thinking about that part
- 9:39Speaker 1: of it, Like she has to do a job that
- 9:42Speaker 1: she was hired for, right, y'all can't be oh this,
- 9:46Speaker 1: that and the third because you're not gonna look out
- 9:48Speaker 1: for her livelihood if they decide they wanted to get
- 9:51Speaker 1: rid of her ass. Y'all just gonna be like.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Let me ask you something, how often do you think
- 9:58Speaker 4: that sometimes people want to kind of, like I guess,
- 10:02Speaker 4: put themselves on flyers and you know, be a part
- 10:06Speaker 4: of you know, like for social media likes and shit,
- 10:09Speaker 4: because I think that's that happens probably more often than not.
- 10:14Speaker 4: I think so too, Like people want to make it
- 10:17Speaker 4: seem like they're doing a whole lot with whatever, and
- 10:20Speaker 4: I got this going on and ooh, look at me.
- 10:22Speaker 4: And then they'll throw themselves on the flyer to make
- 10:25Speaker 4: it seem like they're doing a lot more than they are.
- 10:28Speaker 4: And then you know, they don't show up and leave
- 10:32Speaker 4: people like you holding the bag all because they want
- 10:34Speaker 4: it to be seen and perceived as X, Y and Z.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Because what I see a lot is I see people
- 10:40Speaker 4: go down the artist path that have the artist's mindset
- 10:45Speaker 4: and maybe even the passion, but a lot of them
- 10:47Speaker 4: don't have the time.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I don't even think that is I think it's a
- 10:51Speaker 1: greed issue too. I think y'all are sol and on
- 10:55Speaker 1: getting as much money and bags out of people. That's
- 10:59Speaker 1: y'all taking this route where y'all are fraudulently doing things.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You knew that you had booked a show probably somewhere
- 11:10Speaker 1: in DC and Maryland, you know, as it a grown adult.
- 11:15Speaker 1: How much time you have to pack up after a
- 11:19Speaker 1: set or whatever, and traveling distance you knew already that
- 11:26Speaker 1: you weren't going to come. Why are you accepting people's
- 11:29Speaker 1: deposits and stuff because you were paid? Guess what? My
- 11:33Speaker 1: bands was the only on the card that was not
- 11:36Speaker 1: paid and the one who did the work.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Oh no, y'all can't be Joe In, the scammer of
- 11:41Speaker 4: the band.
- 11:42Speaker 1: My god, that's what I'm saying. That's crazy, that's my
- 11:46Speaker 1: problem with it. And then y'all just want to give
- 11:48Speaker 1: all these accolades to these established bands when y'all doing
- 11:51Speaker 1: some band of shit y'all are That's not cool. That's
- 11:55Speaker 1: not cool. It's gonna come to a point where y'all
- 11:58Speaker 1: don't have y'all business two together. And the Orange motherfucker
- 12:04Speaker 1: is gonna make it way, so no establishments are playing
- 12:07Speaker 1: Go go at all keep it up because there's also
- 12:10Speaker 1: a scandal going on with the with the Go Go Museum.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Oh oh, you know what he's stealing.
- 12:17Speaker 1: He's stealing grant money and stuff that was supposed to
- 12:19Speaker 1: go to all of these up and coming bands us. Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: then then trying to get a go Go fundme raised
- 12:28Speaker 1: because you talking about you ain't got no money when
- 12:30Speaker 1: you just got three hundred something thousand dollars of grant
- 12:33Speaker 1: money and some more money that you were supposed to
- 12:37Speaker 1: be distributing to bands out here, but to dinner. You
- 12:40Speaker 1: kept the money and fucked that money up. Okay allegedly,
- 12:45Speaker 1: but yeah, stuff like that. It just gets under my
- 12:49Speaker 1: my freaking skin because I want everybody to win. I
- 12:52Speaker 1: want everybody to get that bag this year, but you
- 12:55Speaker 1: have to do it the right way. I'm tired of
- 12:57Speaker 1: people trying to scam and have this crabs in a
- 13:02Speaker 1: barrel mentality. Okay, it's Maryland. We like crabs. We like
- 13:07Speaker 1: to keep them motherfuckers, Like you don't have to act
- 13:09Speaker 1: like one. You know what I'm saying. I don't get it,
- 13:12Speaker 1: dam I don't get it.
- 13:15Speaker 4: Wow.
- 13:16Speaker 1: So that was the only bad experience that I had, Like,
- 13:21Speaker 1: I just didn't appreciate that, and a lot of people
- 13:23Speaker 1: left their upset because they were like, I paid for
- 13:26Speaker 1: fifty dollars. I mean, y'all was good, but we were exposed.
- 13:30Speaker 1: We we wanted to see three bands, and then the
- 13:32Speaker 1: DJ fucked up the countdown.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Bro, Wait, he.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Ain't do shit. Everybody sat in the club this and
- 13:43Speaker 1: we watched that shit. It hit twelve and we was
- 13:46Speaker 1: like happy New Year, niggas a happy New Year over there.
- 13:49Speaker 4: He did not get on the mic talk about.
- 13:51Speaker 1: On the mic at all. In fact, when it hit
- 13:54Speaker 1: a little bit after a little bit after midnight, he
- 13:58Speaker 1: act like he was Finnah start packing up when the
- 14:01Speaker 1: event was supposed to close that too, Where are you going?
- 14:06Speaker 1: I lie, lie to you?
- 14:08Speaker 4: Now, this is hilarious. I often miss party promotions, but
- 14:15Speaker 4: it's you know, stories like this that make you know
- 14:19Speaker 4: I make a good decision.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yes you did, or did you? Because maybe if you
- 14:24Speaker 1: were there, you were, you would show these motherfuckers how
- 14:27Speaker 1: it's supposed to be done.
- 14:28Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Nobody knows what they're doing, none of that.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I can't. The one time that I did that was
- 14:37Speaker 4: bad and I said never again.
- 14:40Speaker 1: And that's the thing. Nobody knows what the what their
- 14:46Speaker 1: role is either. First of all, let's be clear, anybody
- 14:51Speaker 1: knows that well, I guess anybody doesn't now, but this
- 14:57Speaker 1: is this is how it's supposed to be. If you're
- 14:58Speaker 1: a band and there's an event, the artist or the
- 15:03Speaker 1: band is not supposed to be selling tickets for that
- 15:05Speaker 1: said event well in the circuit motor. No, no, no,
- 15:13Speaker 1: not that's that's that's something that we created and we
- 15:17Speaker 1: made professionally a booking agent and a promoter. It's supposed
- 15:25Speaker 1: to sell the tickets, not the artist. All the artists
- 15:29Speaker 1: supposed to do is come, come and show up? Do
- 15:32Speaker 1: they set and get the fuck? That's it. That's it, y'all.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Just don't know what the fuck y'all doing. Y'all imrging
- 15:39Speaker 1: what a manager's supposed to be doing with a booking
- 15:42Speaker 1: persons supposed to be doing with a promoter, y'all. Just no,
- 15:46Speaker 1: that's not how any of this shit go. It needs
- 15:49Speaker 1: to be a revamp of Go Go period. As far
- 15:53Speaker 1: as the John W. Will Yeah, don't get me started
- 15:56Speaker 1: on them damn Go Go Awards.
- 15:58Speaker 4: I'm just saying, well, I mean you are recently graduated
- 16:04Speaker 4: to do just that. Maybe since practice what you preach
- 16:10Speaker 4: make it work.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But the thing is, I'm not the only one that
- 16:19Speaker 1: has said anything. I'm just the only one irritated by
- 16:23Speaker 1: it here recently that's speaking to you about it. I'm
- 16:29Speaker 1: not the only smart one who knows certain things. This
- 16:31Speaker 1: this has been, this has fallen to me on deaf
- 16:35Speaker 1: ears for years, okay for years. I don't know if
- 16:41Speaker 1: me speaking out about it is really even going to
- 16:44Speaker 1: do anything. You know, it might even call some backlash problem.
- 16:48Speaker 1: People might be like, oh, you ain't even from out here.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I don't really give a fuck about any of that.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't have to be from DC to appreciate the
- 16:56Speaker 1: culture and to know what the right thing to do
- 16:59Speaker 1: is in the wrong long thing to do is. I
- 17:02Speaker 1: don't have to do that. I know what I've added
- 17:04Speaker 1: to this motherfucker then, even though I'm not from here,
- 17:08Speaker 1: who cares about that? But I know that's what some
- 17:10Speaker 1: of the comments would be. I just think that it
- 17:15Speaker 1: needs to be a thing where the people who are
- 17:19Speaker 1: already established need to come together and speak out or
- 17:26Speaker 1: speak on this subject. And it just needs to It
- 17:30Speaker 1: just needs to be done. It just needs to be
- 17:32Speaker 1: done because all of this trickery, who's gonna want to support?
- 17:38Speaker 1: And speaking on the lady who made that video, she
- 17:43Speaker 1: said she's followed these this particular band. I don't know
- 17:46Speaker 1: which one it was.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Wait, which video are you talking about?
- 17:49Speaker 1: Most the one who said you the one who I
- 17:51Speaker 1: said was turned away at the door on New Year? Okay,
- 17:55Speaker 1: she said that she has followed this particular for years.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Do you have years? She said, not ever again no, I.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Said, do you have the audio of her video?
- 18:08Speaker 5: I am so pissed.
- 18:10Speaker 6: I drove around for a whole hour, and then I
- 18:14Speaker 6: found by my old job, the parking lot was charging
- 18:18Speaker 6: twenty dollars that you park or whatever.
- 18:21Speaker 5: So we get to the Hampton, and I believe she
- 18:29Speaker 5: said she's his his daughter, and she's telling everybody. You know,
- 18:36Speaker 5: you can't even buy tickets at the door there. They're overcompat.
- 18:40Speaker 5: They're two hundred and fifty people over capacity. So I
- 18:45Speaker 5: already bought my tickets. I'm like, already, we've been bought
- 18:48Speaker 5: our tickets. Me and my girls, we got our tickets
- 18:51Speaker 5: on the early bird. You get what I'm saying. So
- 18:55Speaker 5: I had my tickets, you know what I'm saying. And
- 19:00Speaker 5: she was like, well, it doesn't matter when you bought
- 19:02Speaker 5: your tickets. How you got your tickets. We're over capacity
- 19:06Speaker 5: and we don't want to fire marshalls to come in here,
- 19:10Speaker 5: but so we have to wait till two hundred and
- 19:12Speaker 5: fifty people leave. You see, I got in there. It
- 19:16Speaker 5: was like like quarter to twelve with me or whatever.
- 19:20Speaker 5: So I didn't even hear the New Year or whatever,
- 19:22Speaker 5: because you know I'm up here trying to you know,
- 19:27Speaker 5: get in or whatever. So my whole point to it
- 19:33Speaker 5: all is I even seen a lot of like important
- 19:36Speaker 5: people that was down here, like you know, from you
- 19:40Speaker 5: know whatever. I don't even I don't want to say
- 19:42Speaker 5: nobody name. But the bottom line is this for me
- 19:46Speaker 5: to have to bring my New Year in and I
- 19:49Speaker 5: bought my ticket early. It's the greed for me with
- 19:53Speaker 5: these these promoters in DC so greedy. You knew you
- 19:59Speaker 5: over so your event. You get what I'm saying, Wow,
- 20:04Speaker 5: I mean for what. So I am going to event right.
- 20:08Speaker 5: I want my money back and I'm not letting up
- 20:12Speaker 5: until i get my money back. And I promise you
- 20:15Speaker 5: I'm the right one. I love working for the law
- 20:18Speaker 5: firm because I learned to lull a lot. So his
- 20:21Speaker 5: daughter was like, well, just hit contact organizer and we're
- 20:25Speaker 5: gonna give you your money back. So the other girls
- 20:29Speaker 5: was like, bump dead that nigga gonna give me my
- 20:32Speaker 5: money back out his pocket, boop and whatever. I don't
- 20:35Speaker 5: carry stuff like that because at the end of the day,
- 20:37Speaker 5: he wrowed my New Year's I will never support them ever. Again.
- 20:42Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, never support them again. And
- 20:45Speaker 5: I'm tired of these hotel parties. There's over capacity. You
- 20:49Speaker 5: know what you're selling if you're selling them on event right,
- 20:53Speaker 5: you know, you get what I'm saying. But the greed
- 20:55Speaker 5: is so sickening. You know that they don't care. You know,
- 20:59Speaker 5: all they care about is they got their money, you know,
- 21:02Speaker 5: and that's that. But you don't realize that you wasted
- 21:05Speaker 5: people's time. I paid twenty dollars to park in that
- 21:09Speaker 5: parking garage. I lost my twenty dollars. Then on top
- 21:13Speaker 5: of it, I could have been doing something else. You know,
- 21:16Speaker 5: I'm you know, I'm all cute and everything, get my hair, everything,
- 21:22Speaker 5: just for me to get there. And everybody in the line,
- 21:26Speaker 5: everybody's mad because we have to wait till two hundred
- 21:30Speaker 5: and fifty people leave out so that they can let
- 21:34Speaker 5: us in. Come on, man, who's doing that? So thank you?
- 21:39Speaker 5: Thank you for nothing. You know what I'm saying. I'm
- 21:42Speaker 5: not saying no names, because at the end of the day,
- 21:44Speaker 5: y'all already know where I was going. You already seen
- 21:47Speaker 5: what I was promoting. These goofy people, these goosey promoters.
- 21:50Speaker 5: You need to stop support in them because they're greedy, greedy,
- 21:57Speaker 5: but you gonna give me my money back. I want
- 21:59Speaker 5: all all my money back, not par shoe, not nothing.
- 22:03Speaker 5: Event bright, you're already sent them an email. I already
- 22:07Speaker 5: did all of that. You're gonna give me my money back,
- 22:09Speaker 5: So I'm gonna feel kind of good about getting my
- 22:13Speaker 5: money back. But I'm never supporting none of their parties,
- 22:15Speaker 5: none of them, because it's a waste of time. They're greedy,
- 22:19Speaker 5: they're always over capacity, and it's like, it's crazy. You
- 22:23Speaker 5: know what I'm saying. You get all dolled up just
- 22:26Speaker 5: to go out, just to get to the door to
- 22:28Speaker 5: tell you that you got to wait till two hundred
- 22:30Speaker 5: and fifty people come out so that they can let
- 22:33Speaker 5: you in. You already over capacity. So the five monsters
- 22:36Speaker 5: should be going down here right now, you get what
- 22:39Speaker 5: I'm saying, so they can shut that party all the
- 22:41Speaker 5: way down. Stupid self, They stupid? Who I mean, who
- 22:46Speaker 5: are I mean they think? I think at the end
- 22:49Speaker 5: of the day, they only be thinking about money. Okay, Yeah,
- 22:52Speaker 5: we got all these stupid people. They stupid. They gonna
- 22:54Speaker 5: pay it anyway. Yeah, that's how I feel now. Never
- 22:58Speaker 5: get my money twenty two not supporting none of these
- 23:02Speaker 5: hotel parties.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Wow, okay, she snatched everybody at that venue.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Ball every I told you, and that's exactly what happened
- 23:13Speaker 1: at our shit because y'all took the deposit because I
- 23:16Speaker 1: know they got paid. I know y'all niggas got paid,
- 23:20Speaker 1: and you didn't even show us. It's wrong. It's wrong.
- 23:25Speaker 4: And is it the same people or this is just
- 23:28Speaker 4: collecting I don't know. You know what. That makes the
- 23:32Speaker 4: bands look bad too, because you associate a bad experience
- 23:35Speaker 4: with everybody there. So if you are that band and
- 23:38Speaker 4: you were there at that whack ass party and they
- 23:40Speaker 4: hear that you playing somewhere else, maybe they're less likely
- 23:44Speaker 4: to be like, hey, I want to be at that
- 23:46Speaker 4: party because that was such you know, that was such
- 23:48Speaker 4: a good time last time. Nah, they gonna remember that
- 23:50Speaker 4: whole experience. So yeah, I get it. That is shity man. Well,
- 23:58Speaker 4: I'm sorry that you have. It's such a bad New year.
- 24:01Speaker 4: And I mean I felt her in the video when
- 24:03Speaker 4: she was saying that that. I mean, sh it's three
- 24:07Speaker 4: two one done there. You don't get a do over.
- 24:10Speaker 4: This is not super Mario. There is no extra life
- 24:12Speaker 4: like you again. So, yeah, you wait all year for
- 24:18Speaker 4: that particular moment to say goodbye to all the bullshit,
- 24:21Speaker 4: and then walking into the year where bullshit show up,
- 24:27Speaker 4: like somebody called me, like yeah, bullshit, My god.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I would be pissed too. I still had a good
- 24:41Speaker 1: New Year regardless, because you know, I felt bad for
- 24:45Speaker 1: the people who paid, because I would be pissed when
- 24:51Speaker 1: my people it was the fun time. We made our
- 24:54Speaker 1: own fun. You know, we always gonna make our own fun.
- 24:58Speaker 1: But yeah, that fucking sound that fucking sucks, Like do better?
- 25:03Speaker 4: Wow, Well, oh, let's take a break and then we
- 25:08Speaker 4: will come back after this. Hold on, We'll be right back.
- 25:12Speaker 7: Nobody prepared me for the fact that one of the
- 25:14Speaker 7: most important women in civil rights history isn't in a
- 25:17Speaker 7: single textbook I grew up with, and that the movement
- 25:21Speaker 7: wouldn't have moved without her. So let me tell you
- 25:24Speaker 7: the part they left out. Anna Arnold Hedgman wasn't the
- 25:27Speaker 7: voice on the microphone, She wasn't the face on the posters.
- 25:30Speaker 7: She wasn't marching for headlines. She was the strategist in
- 25:33Speaker 7: the back room, the organizer who made movements function, the
- 25:37Speaker 7: woman who turned intentions into infrastructure. And that's exactly why
- 25:42Speaker 7: she gets erased, because if people recognized how much she built,
- 25:46Speaker 7: they'd have to admit how fragile the movement was without her.
- 25:49Speaker 7: She was one of the first black women to hold
- 25:50Speaker 7: senior roles in government, from New York City's welfare administration
- 25:55Speaker 7: to national commissions, at a time when black women weren't
- 25:57Speaker 7: supposed to have desks, authority, or acts. But she didn't
- 26:01Speaker 7: use that access to blend in. She used it to
- 26:04Speaker 7: push federal and municipal systems toward racial truth that they
- 26:08Speaker 7: didn't want to see. And then came the March on
- 26:11Speaker 7: Washington and the part nobody ever tells you. Everybody knows
- 26:14Speaker 7: the photos, everybody knows the speeches, everybody knows the stage
- 26:18Speaker 7: full of men. But what they don't know is this,
- 26:21Speaker 7: Anna Arnold Hedgeman was the only woman on the official
- 26:24Speaker 7: planning committee. She coordinated outreach, She helped structure logistics. She
- 26:29Speaker 7: worked the phones, the churches, the community networks, the real
- 26:32Speaker 7: bones that held the march together. And halfway through planning,
- 26:36Speaker 7: she realized that there wasn't a single woman on the program,
- 26:39Speaker 7: not one. A movement built on the labor of black women,
- 26:43Speaker 7: with the stage that erased them. So Anna pushed back.
- 26:47Speaker 7: She wrote letters, She argued the point in planning meetings.
- 26:50Speaker 7: She demanded representation, knowing full well that challenging male leadership
- 26:54Speaker 7: could cost her everything. Some concessions were made, not enough,
- 26:58Speaker 7: but without her, there wouldn't have been any voice for
- 27:01Speaker 7: black women at all. Even on the day of the march,
- 27:04Speaker 7: she was pushed into the background, but the march still stood,
- 27:07Speaker 7: it still ran, It still reached the world because of
- 27:11Speaker 7: the structure that she helped build. And here's the part
- 27:14Speaker 7: that hits the hardest. Every movement she touched, education, labor,
- 27:18Speaker 7: civil rights, welfare reform, she strengthened it. Every organization she joined,
- 27:24Speaker 7: church networks, women's groups, government committees, civil rights coalitions, she
- 27:30Speaker 7: elevated it. And because she wasn't loud or flashy or
- 27:34Speaker 7: chasing leadership titles, America pretended that she wasn't essential. That's
- 27:38Speaker 7: not coincidence, that's racism and patriarchy doing what they always do.
- 27:43Speaker 7: Erased the black woman that kept everything from falling apart.
- 27:46Speaker 7: Anna Arnold Hedgeman, the strategist who made federal agencies, faced
- 27:51Speaker 7: the discrimination that they denied. The organizer who fought for
- 27:54Speaker 7: black women's voices inside a movement who benefited from their
- 27:58Speaker 7: labor without ignowledging their leadership. The woman who held systems
- 28:02Speaker 7: accountable long before America admitted that the systems were broken.
- 28:06Speaker 7: She was the quiet power behind one of the loudest
- 28:08Speaker 7: movements in American history. So we say her name with intention,
- 28:13Speaker 7: we say it with respect. We say it because she
- 28:16Speaker 7: built the blueprint from modern black organizing, and this country
- 28:19Speaker 7: was never going to tell you that part on its own.
- 28:22Speaker 7: Say her name, Anna Arnold Hedgman.
- 28:26Speaker 8: Being a black man who is well educated and nuanced
- 28:28Speaker 8: is a crazy experience. People look at you as if
- 28:31Speaker 8: they're flabbergasted that you exist. I didn't expect them to
- 28:33Speaker 8: be so well spoken and so well mannered. Well, I
- 28:36Speaker 8: don't know what else he'd expect it, but your actual existence,
- 28:39Speaker 8: your living, breathing embodiment, is an active defiance towards the
- 28:42Speaker 8: stereotypes and what people expect to be true about reality.
- 28:46Speaker 8: For some people, you turn reality entirely on its head
- 28:48Speaker 8: simply because of how you show up and how you
- 28:50Speaker 8: are so intelligent, nuanced black man who takes the time
- 28:53Speaker 8: to explore himself and to choose things outside of the normal,
- 28:56Speaker 8: outside of the stereotype. Outside of the program, the world
- 28:59Speaker 8: always going to understand you. The world will often try
- 29:02Speaker 8: to put you into a role that you simply do.
- 29:04Speaker 8: Not confine yourself too. But keep on keeping on.
- 29:08Speaker 4: Take us the word, take us off ago, take us
- 29:10Speaker 4: wherever you're going, Real talk radio. Well we're back, and
- 29:16Speaker 4: I guess I'll get into my New Year's or my
- 29:18Speaker 4: holiday season. I think for the first time in a
- 29:23Speaker 4: very long time, this was the first year I was
- 29:26Speaker 4: actually able to really enjoy the holidays. I got to
- 29:32Speaker 4: spend time with family. I didn't really get to see
- 29:36Speaker 4: you or take a man, I talked to y'all on FaceTime,
- 29:38Speaker 4: but you know, I didn't really get to, you know,
- 29:41Speaker 4: do much. But I kind of needed that. I've been
- 29:44Speaker 4: in this space like all year, like, Okay, this is
- 29:47Speaker 4: why I don't believe in New Year's resolutions, right because
- 29:51Speaker 4: New Year's resolutions, like you go into the year with
- 29:55Speaker 4: this expectation and it's like, hmm, I'm going to do
- 29:59Speaker 4: this this year. I'm going like, it's good to have goals,
- 30:02Speaker 4: but you kind of go into it and at the
- 30:06Speaker 4: end of the year there's always the reflection of what
- 30:09Speaker 4: you actually learned versus what your trajectory was so for
- 30:15Speaker 4: me looking at this, this was the year of getting
- 30:19Speaker 4: back to myself and I think that although I'm not
- 30:23Speaker 4: completely there yet, I'm there. Like I'm there, And like
- 30:30Speaker 4: I said, this was the first time since I quit
- 30:33Speaker 4: my job that I've actually learned to love the holidays again.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Because you know, you work at UPS for seventeen years
- 30:43Speaker 4: and most of that shit and management. Listen, my days,
- 30:48Speaker 4: My normal days were twelve to fourteen hours, so I
- 30:53Speaker 4: basically lived at that bitch during the holiday season. Yeah,
- 30:57Speaker 4: I mean shit. So it was hard.
- 31:01Speaker 5: It was very I remember.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I remember the markets that was overworked.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Yep.
- 31:07Speaker 1: When we would have a podcasts and you would literally
- 31:11Speaker 1: be falling as you would be so tired. And it's
- 31:14Speaker 1: not because you didn't want to be in the moment.
- 31:15Speaker 1: It's because your body said, look here, look her, We're
- 31:20Speaker 1: gonna do what we want to do. Regardless of what
- 31:22Speaker 1: you want exactly. We would watch your your body would
- 31:26Speaker 1: just do what it needed to do was rest, rest
- 31:32Speaker 1: all the time it was and got so happy when
- 31:37Speaker 1: you got out of that because I was like, you
- 31:39Speaker 1: need to rest, like for real.
- 31:42Speaker 4: And the thing is, you don't realize that you hold
- 31:45Speaker 4: on to the trauma, like you might let go of
- 31:48Speaker 4: the job, but I think for a long time it
- 31:50Speaker 4: held on to the trauma of that. And it's like
- 31:53Speaker 4: holiday season automatically, Well, I've never been one, you know,
- 31:57Speaker 4: for joy and fun, but as far as the holiday,
- 32:00Speaker 4: as far as the holiday season goes, though, it was
- 32:03Speaker 4: like even more joy and I'm like, okay, no, not really.
- 32:07Speaker 4: But then I got those jobs or I got the
- 32:09Speaker 4: job at UPS and I was working two jobs at
- 32:12Speaker 4: the time, and it was just crazy. With all of that.
- 32:16Speaker 4: You just hate to see the holidays coming, you really do.
- 32:19Speaker 4: You hate to see it. It's triggering because it reminds
- 32:23Speaker 4: you of all the stress, all the arguments you have
- 32:25Speaker 4: to have, all of the unslept hours, and it's just
- 32:28Speaker 4: it balls up. So I think this is the first
- 32:31Speaker 4: year that I was actually able to kind of let
- 32:34Speaker 4: my lack of hair down, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 4: snatched ball from the last segment, But no, honestly, it's
- 32:48Speaker 4: it's a good feeling. I like it. It's been positive.
- 32:52Speaker 4: It's been a great experience as far as the holidays go.
- 32:56Speaker 4: I did the standard. On Christmas, I went, I saw
- 32:58Speaker 4: my parents, saw my sister, so my aunt came home
- 33:04Speaker 4: here in New Year's I literally at my apartment. That's it.
- 33:11Speaker 4: I didn't go out there into the streets.
- 33:13Speaker 1: You stayed home because first of all, they be shooting
- 33:16Speaker 1: and shit. And yeah, you in Baltimore too.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Well, they were shooting. They were shooting outside. I mean, like,
- 33:21Speaker 4: I mean, I wasn't. I'm still in danger, girl, but like,
- 33:27Speaker 4: but I wasn't out there in the streets in danger.
- 33:30Speaker 4: But no, it's not even a crime thing because people
- 33:32Speaker 4: have that stigma about Baltimore. I knock on wood. I
- 33:37Speaker 4: have had not horrible experiences here, not horrible. Ah no,
- 33:43Speaker 4: not without my own doing or my own choices. And yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 4: I have to own that the things that I did
- 33:51Speaker 4: not like about my time here in Baltimore are of
- 33:55Speaker 4: a direct result of something that I was either not
- 33:58Speaker 4: dealing with.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Or deal with.
- 34:00Speaker 4: So yeah, but as far as the city itself, aside
- 34:04Speaker 4: from the potholes and you know some of the you
- 34:08Speaker 4: know sceners car pretty decent. Oh well, yeah, I don't ship. Well,
- 34:15Speaker 4: I mean even with that, I mean, that's going to
- 34:18Speaker 4: happen in any city that can ship. That happened to
- 34:20Speaker 4: me when I lived in PG County several.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Times yeah, you know what happened to me exactly so,
- 34:28Speaker 1: and then took the whole again.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Oh you bit exactly so I'm not gonna do the
- 34:36Speaker 4: you know, I like it here and I think that
- 34:40Speaker 4: it took some time, but I had to get away
- 34:43Speaker 4: to get back to myself. So that is another reason
- 34:46Speaker 4: I kind of left PG County.
- 34:47Speaker 1: But yeah, you did you. It always helps when you
- 34:50Speaker 1: get a change of scenery.
- 34:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it does. I never I never would have known
- 34:54Speaker 4: it because I don't know, you know, I'm pretty regimented.
- 34:57Speaker 4: I got a whole lot of food, a whole lot
- 34:59Speaker 4: of food out ologies, a whole lot of them holes.
- 35:02Speaker 4: So I'm used to like sticking to what I know
- 35:06Speaker 4: as far as even dietary things like, but just overall
- 35:11Speaker 4: that's my baseline. Stick to what Yeah, rivers in the
- 35:14Speaker 4: Lakes that you used to, I listened to TLC, so yeah,
- 35:18Speaker 4: I mean, it just is what it is. So I've
- 35:20Speaker 4: never been one to really branch out. But this move,
- 35:23Speaker 4: even though it's not that far branch, just like thirty
- 35:25Speaker 4: minutes from like PG County, it's still a different city,
- 35:29Speaker 4: still a different vibe, still a different tome. So you know,
- 35:33Speaker 4: feels good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but uh.
- 35:37Speaker 1: You know that's good. Yeah, not this not this year,
- 35:41Speaker 1: not the year before that, but the year before that,
- 35:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty three. I stayed home that year. Yeah, it
- 35:48Speaker 1: was cool. I watched Ship on the TV. I had
- 35:52Speaker 1: to find the New York one because that's the one
- 35:54Speaker 1: I like to watch because I'd be talking about all
- 35:57Speaker 1: them people, don't.
- 35:58Speaker 5: You know that?
- 35:59Speaker 1: Damn people, they get there at like five six.
- 36:05Speaker 4: I know what you're about to talk about. I know
- 36:07Speaker 4: what you're about to talk about. I know what you're
- 36:09Speaker 4: about to talk about. Did you see that video?
- 36:11Speaker 8: I did?
- 36:13Speaker 1: Yes, yes, I was because if you move, you lose
- 36:17Speaker 1: your space.
- 36:18Speaker 4: I don't care. I have to pee, I have, I
- 36:21Speaker 4: have not stay.
- 36:22Speaker 1: It is never when I say never, it is never
- 36:26Speaker 1: that serious ever for me ever to stand in the
- 36:28Speaker 1: one spot for twenty four hours so I could see
- 36:32Speaker 1: something drop out the sky and study on my face.
- 36:35Speaker 4: It's so weird. It's so weird. And that's not to
- 36:39Speaker 4: not listen because I know somebody about to be mad.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Be like, you know, understand that's part of the standing,
- 36:44Speaker 4: and that's fine. I'm cool with having a celebration, but
- 36:50Speaker 4: can we all agree that we show up like a
- 36:52Speaker 4: specific time, like, can we get there? Like if the
- 36:54Speaker 4: ball gonna drop, even if you open the I guess
- 36:57Speaker 4: quote unquote doors around six like I feel like, I mean,
- 37:01Speaker 4: I don't know, but it's New York too, so everybody's
- 37:05Speaker 4: in New York.
- 37:07Speaker 1: But I know I will. I'm at an old age.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Never expend you out in the Times, square ball drop
- 37:17Speaker 1: and I don't give no ships about it.
- 37:19Speaker 4: And you out now in the cold, fellas, fellas you feel.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Med y'all want to freeze in the code and have
- 37:26Speaker 1: to peete and doodle on yourself because you're wearing diapers.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they shit on theyself too. Did you know that?
- 37:32Speaker 1: Did you imagine the smell?
- 37:34Speaker 4: No, I don't want you and fellas you feel me.
- 37:38Speaker 4: As soon as the wind hit that dick, you gotta pee.
- 37:41Speaker 4: And then you got to stand there twenty four hours
- 37:43Speaker 4: with the wind just tongue slapping that motherhood like, no,
- 37:46Speaker 4: I'm not doing.
- 37:47Speaker 1: It, market, I'm not. I sat there and watched this idiot.
- 37:51Speaker 1: He had to be at least like three hundred something
- 37:53Speaker 1: good three hundred. He out there speaking to a newsperson.
- 37:56Speaker 1: You're talking about about how they used the bathroom. Why
- 38:00Speaker 1: this motherfucker decides to pull out some pampon Oh I
- 38:06Speaker 1: thought you were panty liners.
- 38:08Speaker 4: Oh no, I can.
- 38:10Speaker 1: I could understand the diapers, but you're big ass gonna
- 38:13Speaker 1: pull out some panty lires And he says, these work,
- 38:15Speaker 1: these work? No the fuck they don't. You're gonna have
- 38:17Speaker 1: it's all everywhere. What are you talking about?
- 38:20Speaker 4: What?
- 38:21Speaker 1: Why are you using panty liners to think that that's
- 38:24Speaker 1: gonna work to catch your pee? Your grown man pee.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Okay, so hold on, hold on. So like a few
- 38:30Speaker 4: of the events that I've been to, like all of them,
- 38:33Speaker 4: they have this thing called portajohn, and I saw that
- 38:37Speaker 4: they be all over the mofos. So nobody has a portajohn.
- 38:41Speaker 4: That's not like within reach. I feel like that would
- 38:43Speaker 4: be a violation of like city code for holding a
- 38:48Speaker 4: large scale event. You have to have porter potties that
- 38:51Speaker 4: has the Yeah.
- 38:52Speaker 1: They do have porter potties, but if you move, you
- 38:55Speaker 1: lose your space. There is no getting up back to
- 38:59Speaker 1: where you were standing. Like I guess that's like a
- 39:01Speaker 1: rule out there for that. What I don't care, Like, say,
- 39:05Speaker 1: if you're in the front and you move and somebody
- 39:09Speaker 1: and somebody gets your space in the front, don't think
- 39:12Speaker 1: that you're gonna push them people out the way to
- 39:14Speaker 1: get your space back. They not rocking. You'll get fucked
- 39:17Speaker 1: up out there. It'll be fight.
- 39:19Speaker 5: Wow.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Yeah, once you move, you lose You move your feet,
- 39:22Speaker 1: you lose your seat type of ordeal.
- 39:24Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, in third grade, but we're adult.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, let me try to find that video
- 39:32Speaker 1: because I was like, eh, what is wrong with these people?
- 39:35Speaker 1: Like that's so nasty.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Listen, there will never come a time. I think I
- 39:40Speaker 4: literally made a video saying this. There will never come
- 39:43Speaker 4: a time that I will be at anybody's event that
- 39:46Speaker 4: I cannot access a bathroom.
- 39:48Speaker 1: I can.
- 39:50Speaker 4: It's just disgusting. And then you mean to tell me
- 39:53Speaker 4: big grown people are out here wearing diapers because they
- 39:57Speaker 4: don't want to lose their space in a crowd to
- 40:00Speaker 4: watch and goddamn ball fall out the sky. I mean
- 40:04Speaker 4: symbolically sure, But what okay is different? Y'all do different things.
- 40:13Speaker 4: I okay, here it is great, wonderful audio.
- 40:18Speaker 5: If you if you leave and you have to use
- 40:20Speaker 5: the bathroom or.
- 40:21Speaker 9: Even get that's a problem though, So what do you
- 40:25Speaker 9: do with the bedroom?
- 40:27Speaker 5: What do you do? I'll show you exactly what you do.
- 40:32Speaker 8: Let's see.
- 40:32Speaker 5: I'm let me try and find this.
- 40:33Speaker 4: I'll show you.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Yeah, you have to, man, what are you doing for
- 40:41Speaker 5: a woman? Everybody's equal, nobody's any different.
- 40:47Speaker 4: What that means?
- 40:49Speaker 1: And you have bags like.
- 40:52Speaker 4: It stays there, It stays there, hold for the whole day.
- 40:56Speaker 5: You make it, it will stay there for the whole day.
- 40:58Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 40:59Speaker 5: Oh, there's what you do.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Why I'm.
- 41:07Speaker 5: This is not a dicer though you're a lady.
- 41:13Speaker 11: You should.
- 41:13Speaker 1: No, it's not. It's not. Idn't try it.
- 41:18Speaker 4: The smell might be too much if you leave, you
- 41:22Speaker 4: have to hear my god, panny liners, ladies and gentlemen.
- 41:27Speaker 1: No, that's not what you panty liners.
- 41:30Speaker 4: That's not what that's for.
- 41:32Speaker 12: Okay, ya can have it, yaka have it.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Y'all got it?
- 41:46Speaker 4: What I've never seen any ship like Okay, you see
- 41:51Speaker 4: what I did, But I've never seen anything like that
- 41:54Speaker 4: before in my life. What uh, Yeah, they're just different.
- 42:00Speaker 4: Taking a break, We'll be right back.
- 42:04Speaker 10: If it's not that deep, why does history keep getting
- 42:07Speaker 10: rewritten with wide out and lies. If it's not that deep,
- 42:10Speaker 10: then why do some old white people with Alzheimer's forget
- 42:12Speaker 10: everyone and everything except the fact that they hate black
- 42:15Speaker 10: and brown people. If it's not that deep, why were
- 42:18Speaker 10: their laws written to control our hair, our bodies, our love,
- 42:22Speaker 10: and our language. If it's not that deep, then why
- 42:24Speaker 10: do words that carry people's identities and cultural history have
- 42:28Speaker 10: to be erace and banned? If it's not that deep,
- 42:31Speaker 10: why does the truth make people uncomfortable and angry and
- 42:34Speaker 10: defensive instead of curious? If it's not that deep, why
- 42:37Speaker 10: does acknowledging the truth feel like an attack to certain individuals?
- 42:41Speaker 10: If it's not that deep, why was an entire country
- 42:43Speaker 10: built on the ideology of race and hierarchy. If it's
- 42:47Speaker 10: not that deep, why do these people cling to that
- 42:49Speaker 10: ideology like it's their personality. It's not that deep is
- 42:53Speaker 10: code for I'm not that deep, and I don't want
- 42:56Speaker 10: to interrogate myself or implicate myself, or have to look
- 42:59Speaker 10: at myself a little bit closer through a scrutinizing mirror,
- 43:02Speaker 10: through the lens of history and the experiences that are
- 43:05Speaker 10: not my own. It's not that deep. As said to
- 43:08Speaker 10: people who are swimming in the ocean by people who
- 43:11Speaker 10: are still in a kiddie pool, it is that deep.
- 43:14Speaker 10: You're just uncomfortable because you don't know how to swim.
- 43:18Speaker 13: Hey, y'all, So I hope that everyone is staying warm,
- 43:23Speaker 13: and I pray that you are all getting excited about
- 43:26Speaker 13: the new year and new beginnings and you are more
- 43:30Speaker 13: optimistic than pessimistic. But I told y'all I was gonna
- 43:34Speaker 13: try to do these crocket confessionals. Now y'all got to
- 43:36Speaker 13: excuse me because right now I'm just about being cozy
- 43:38Speaker 13: on this couch because I have been working.
- 43:40Speaker 14: Yes, I have been working, working, working, working.
- 43:42Speaker 13: We've got some exciting things that are going to take
- 43:45Speaker 13: place as we head into the new year. We begin
- 43:47Speaker 13: the new year for our US Senate campaign, and I
- 43:51Speaker 13: just can't wait for y'all to see all that we
- 43:54Speaker 13: got in store. Lord knows, I've been working, so excuse
- 43:57Speaker 13: the fact that I, yeah, I look like what I've through.
- 44:00Speaker 13: But nevertheless, so yesterday, anyone that knows me knows that
- 44:07Speaker 13: I have someone that is a best friend and she
- 44:11Speaker 13: is very close to most people just calling my sister.
- 44:18Speaker 13: I've known her for quite some time and her family
- 44:22Speaker 13: knows me. My family knows her, and so really she's
- 44:26Speaker 13: my sister. She's also my sore war So her name
- 44:29Speaker 13: is Jennifer. So Jennifer, you can always find her wherever
- 44:34Speaker 13: I am.
- 44:35Speaker 14: Like, that's just what it is, all right.
- 44:38Speaker 13: Well, Jennifer ends up texting me yesterday and says, hey,
- 44:43Speaker 13: can you talk Now?
- 44:46Speaker 14: Those people that are like in my life.
- 44:48Speaker 13: In my life know how busy I am, and they
- 44:50Speaker 13: know exactly what I'm up to because I'm very good
- 44:52Speaker 13: about our group chats where I'm kind of telling them
- 44:55Speaker 13: what all is popping off and if they are asking
- 44:59Speaker 13: me some then like I know that, like it it's
- 45:01Speaker 13: something that matters.
- 45:04Speaker 14: So I was like, uh, yeah, I got some time. Sorry, y'all.
- 45:07Speaker 14: Carmeen Is is takest to me, so I was like, what's up?
- 45:10Speaker 14: She said, can you FaceTime.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Me really quickly? Now?
- 45:14Speaker 13: I love Jennifer, but like we don't be facetiming like that.
- 45:16Speaker 13: I mean we do here and there, but you know whatever.
- 45:19Speaker 13: So I say, yeah, that's fine. So she face times
- 45:23Speaker 13: me and I have an opportunity to speak to another sower.
- 45:29Speaker 13: Her name is Teresa, and Jennifer decided to go and
- 45:34Speaker 13: sit with Teresa as she was getting her cancer treatment.
- 45:38Speaker 14: Teresa has stage.
- 45:40Speaker 13: Four I won't name the type of cancer, and her
- 45:46Speaker 13: and Jennifer were just sitting and talking and she was
- 45:48Speaker 13: talking about how she loves me, and she was talking
- 45:52Speaker 13: about how she'd be fighting in these comments on social
- 45:57Speaker 13: media with people.
- 45:59Speaker 14: And while she she.
- 46:00Speaker 13: Is my sorority sister, I had never met Teresa and
- 46:03Speaker 13: I did not know her story. And as Teresa is
- 46:09Speaker 13: so fierce and brave to the extent that we were
- 46:13Speaker 13: engaging in conversation where she was trying to find out
- 46:16Speaker 13: what it was that she could do for me, it
- 46:20Speaker 13: just brought things into perspective in really a supernatural way for.
- 46:25Speaker 14: Me, because here it is, I get caught.
- 46:30Speaker 13: Up on some stuff sometimes, and y'all know that when
- 46:34Speaker 13: people come for me, I am very big on making
- 46:38Speaker 13: them regret that they did. But the bigger picture is
- 46:43Speaker 13: that there are people that are legitimately fighting for their lives.
- 46:49Speaker 13: And in the moments that Teresa was talking to me
- 46:53Speaker 13: about trying to help me.
- 46:57Speaker 14: On this campaign, I felt so unworthy.
- 47:02Speaker 13: Because as an elected official who should be making this
- 47:08Speaker 13: fight as easy as possible, I know that we've failed her.
- 47:17Speaker 13: But none of that had her down because she still
- 47:20Speaker 13: believes in the possibility of elected officials that are going
- 47:26Speaker 13: to do right by her, and in the middle of
- 47:29Speaker 13: a fight for her life, she still be about fighting
- 47:34Speaker 13: them comments with y'all as well as truly wanting to
- 47:41Speaker 13: do something for this campaign. I want y'all to reflect
- 47:47Speaker 13: as we go into this.
- 47:49Speaker 14: New year.
- 47:51Speaker 13: About really how much we can do, and I want
- 47:57Speaker 13: you to find your inner Teresa, that person that even
- 48:05Speaker 13: in the midst of their own trials and tribulations, is
- 48:10Speaker 13: still in this fight because she understands how important it is.
- 48:16Speaker 13: And so I committed myself that just like Teresa has
- 48:21Speaker 13: not given up on fighting for me, I will not
- 48:25Speaker 13: give up on fighting for her.
- 48:26Speaker 14: And I would argue that my fight is.
- 48:30Speaker 13: Rooted in real people like Terresa, real people that as
- 48:34Speaker 13: she sat there and told me about how difficult it
- 48:37Speaker 13: has been to try to navigate being able to actually
- 48:43Speaker 13: just make sure she still has a car, to be
- 48:45Speaker 13: able to get to her treatments and keep a roof
- 48:48Speaker 13: over her head while also obviously being able to afford treatments.
- 48:55Speaker 13: I want you to understand that, as we have talked
- 49:01Speaker 13: about a lot of things about healthcare, that for some
- 49:06Speaker 13: people it may sound like it's just political kind of jockeying,
- 49:13Speaker 13: but there's real lives attached. And the work that I
- 49:17Speaker 13: do is because I truly understand that there are real
- 49:20Speaker 13: lives attached every single day. I understand that every political decision,
- 49:28Speaker 13: especially in this moment, has the ability to truly impact
- 49:35Speaker 13: whether or not someone sees another day on this earth.
- 49:39Speaker 13: And it is so devastating, whether we're talking about the
- 49:44Speaker 13: lack of funding, because I was almost brought to tears
- 49:47Speaker 13: and thinking about how much we failed to rescind so
- 49:50Speaker 13: many others, because in this moment, funding has been cut
- 49:55Speaker 13: for research for cancer.
- 49:57Speaker 14: And you real a lot of different ailments. It's not
- 50:02Speaker 14: just cancer.
- 50:05Speaker 13: You have to wonder what are you doing if, like
- 50:10Speaker 13: you're sitting in office and the very basics to keep
- 50:14Speaker 13: us alive, we're not making those investments like you.
- 50:17Speaker 14: It makes you wonder.
- 50:18Speaker 13: And these were the really difficult questions that I was
- 50:22Speaker 13: asking when I was asking myself, are you doing enough
- 50:25Speaker 13: to truly move the needle? Or are you just kind
- 50:30Speaker 13: of doing what's comfortable?
- 50:31Speaker 5: Are you going to do.
- 50:34Speaker 13: What seems like it would be easiest and most convenient.
- 50:39Speaker 13: And I will tell you that I won't stop fighting
- 50:43Speaker 13: for Teresa because she deserves better of this government.
- 50:49Speaker 14: And I won't stop fighting.
- 50:50Speaker 13: For all those individuals that are seeing the rights being
- 50:55Speaker 13: taken away. Whether we're talking about members of the LGBTQIA community,
- 50:59Speaker 13: whether we're talking about, you know, persons that are being
- 51:05Speaker 13: kidnapped by ice, or whether we're talking about children who
- 51:10Speaker 13: won't have access to the.
- 51:12Speaker 14: Education that they deserve, or whether we're talking about.
- 51:14Speaker 13: Nurses who are having their very degrees downgraded by this
- 51:19Speaker 13: Department of Education, or whether we're talking about those family businesses.
- 51:24Speaker 13: Like I am truly scared for our country, and I
- 51:30Speaker 13: know that in this moment we need people that are
- 51:35Speaker 13: doing things in government just because it's the right thing
- 51:40Speaker 13: to do and understanding that so many people will face
- 51:47Speaker 13: what may be a life or death situation because.
- 51:52Speaker 14: Of what we do or don't do.
- 51:55Speaker 13: So anyway, So that's my Crockett confessional from the campaign trail.
- 52:00Speaker 13: I want to say, God bless you, my sore and
- 52:04Speaker 13: you definitely don't have to be in these comments fighting.
- 52:07Speaker 14: But I got you.
- 52:08Speaker 13: I got you, and like I told you yesterday, the
- 52:12Speaker 13: only job that I need you to make sure you
- 52:15Speaker 13: fulfill is beating cancer.
- 52:21Speaker 4: All right, we're back. So over the holidays, did you
- 52:25Speaker 4: get an opportunity or how well did you keep up
- 52:29Speaker 4: with the news, Because I was very news adjacent. I
- 52:32Speaker 4: was popping in read the headline, check in with the
- 52:35Speaker 4: social media influencers I know that actually know what they're
- 52:39Speaker 4: talking about, and back out. That was it for me.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I mean, I saw a few stories, but I didn't
- 52:45Speaker 1: let it consume me, if that makes sense, because it
- 52:48Speaker 1: was already holidays, and I'm one of those people who
- 52:51Speaker 1: gets who does get depressed, even if I am around
- 52:56Speaker 1: family or not, even if I have enough money for
- 52:59Speaker 1: get for other people or not. I don't know why.
- 53:02Speaker 1: I just always have been a person with holiday blues,
- 53:06Speaker 1: if you will. I don't know why. Maybe it's the
- 53:09Speaker 1: code because I'm a summer baby. I don't know. But
- 53:13Speaker 1: I saw a few things, and my thing is as
- 53:18Speaker 1: far as Trump goes, Okay, y'all know he y'all have evidence,
- 53:24Speaker 1: hard evidence that he's done criminal shit, all kinds of shit.
- 53:28Speaker 1: We already know that.
- 53:29Speaker 4: Did you hear, baby?
- 53:31Speaker 1: Fuck about anything else? What are you doing about it?
- 53:34Speaker 1: That's where I'm at with.
- 53:35Speaker 4: It, exactly. But since they're not going to remove this
- 53:39Speaker 4: figga or not, No they're not. They're all scared, and
- 53:43Speaker 4: that's the part that is so frustrating. Scared of what.
- 53:46Speaker 15: Eight million dollars for making mice transgender. We identified and
- 53:51Speaker 15: stopped fifty million dollars being sent to Gaza to buy
- 53:56Speaker 15: condoms for Hamas.
- 54:01Speaker 5: You know, it's not the question that I mind.
- 54:03Speaker 15: It's your attitude. You're a terrible person and a terrible report.
- 54:13Speaker 5: The doctor said it was a mess result he has
- 54:16Speaker 5: ever seen as a doctor. That's it.
- 54:18Speaker 16: He's offered everything.
- 54:19Speaker 15: You're right, you know why, because he doesn't want to
- 54:22Speaker 15: fuck around with the United States.
- 54:24Speaker 17: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?
- 54:27Speaker 4: I've spoken about That's okay.
- 54:29Speaker 15: You can just say yes, okay, that's easier.
- 54:32Speaker 16: It's easier than explaining.
- 54:34Speaker 14: It pedal mind.
- 54:35Speaker 16: I love this elon Omore, whatever the hell her name is.
- 54:38Speaker 5: With a little show, a little turban.
- 54:41Speaker 16: She comes in does nothing but bitch.
- 54:43Speaker 15: When somebody is given ninety seven percent of the stories
- 54:47Speaker 15: a bad about a person, that's no longer free speech,
- 54:50Speaker 15: that's no longer and that's just cheating. All I got
- 54:52Speaker 15: from the United Nations was an escalator that on the
- 54:55Speaker 15: way up, stopped right in the middle. If the first
- 54:58Speaker 15: lady wasn't in great shape, she would have fallen. And
- 55:00Speaker 15: then a teleprompter that didn't work.
- 55:02Speaker 16: And by the way, I never went to the island.
- 55:04Speaker 16: I never had the privilege of going to his island,
- 55:07Speaker 16: and I did turn it down. Effective immediately, the FDA
- 55:10Speaker 16: will be notifying physicians that the use of I said, Well,
- 55:14Speaker 16: let's see how we say that. I said, menafin, A
- 55:18Speaker 16: seed of minifin, which is basically commonly known as thailand
- 55:22Speaker 16: all during pregnancy can be associated with a very increased
- 55:27Speaker 16: risk of autism. So taking thailand all is uh.
- 55:32Speaker 5: Not good.
- 55:33Speaker 15: I'll say it, it's not good. We basically have two
- 55:35Speaker 15: countries that have been fighting so long and so hard.
- 55:38Speaker 16: That they don't know what the fuck they're doing.
- 55:41Speaker 15: Do you understand that I'm telling you these countries are
- 55:43Speaker 15: calling us up, kissing my ass.
- 55:45Speaker 5: Let me tell you.
- 55:46Speaker 4: Black people love trumpet.
- 55:47Speaker 15: They know it scam better than anybody.
- 55:50Speaker 4: They know what it is to be scammed.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Yes, yesterday there was a boot they said in israd
- 55:57Speaker 1: on an exceed in the West Bank.
- 55:58Speaker 14: Do you see it as a piece? Will you answer
- 56:02Speaker 14: that place? Because I cannot understand.
- 56:03Speaker 4: The words you say.
- 56:05Speaker 15: Then we have a man who to me, this is
- 56:07Speaker 15: the most interesting story.
- 56:08Speaker 1: What do you look like Evanka?
- 56:10Speaker 15: Has anyone ever told you that I'm looking I'm saying
- 56:14Speaker 15: you look just like Evoka, which is a great compliment. Actually, Now,
- 56:18Speaker 15: if you use the word beautiful in the United States
- 56:20Speaker 15: about a woman, that's the end of your political career.
- 56:22Speaker 1: But I'll take my.
- 56:23Speaker 15: Chances you don't mind being called beautiful right because you are.
- 56:27Speaker 4: I don't think there's anything going to get me in heaven.
- 56:29Speaker 15: I really, I think I'm not maybe heaven bound.
- 56:34Speaker 4: This like some of this stuff. Did you hear about
- 56:36Speaker 4: that baby in Lake Michigan? Ho?
- 56:39Speaker 18: Ho ho?
- 56:39Speaker 4: Racist?
- 56:40Speaker 16: It's good, I'm fine.
- 56:42Speaker 17: You sound so beautiful and cute.
- 56:45Speaker 4: How old are you?
- 56:49Speaker 18: Wow?
- 56:50Speaker 11: Santa just loves kids, doesn't he? And racist America loves
- 56:53Speaker 11: being delusional. For years, you've been screaming about these files.
- 56:57Speaker 11: Now that they're released, the cover up and the criminal
- 56:59Speaker 11: acts are blowing up in your faces by the day.
- 57:01Speaker 11: This year, we are witnessing pure evil, and Anglo Americans
- 57:04Speaker 11: are sitting around pretending like nothing is happening as an
- 57:07Speaker 11: attempt to bury the news. We just got more pieces
- 57:09Speaker 11: of the puzzle conveniently during the holiday. The unsealed files
- 57:13Speaker 11: the testimony allegations that Donald Trump, the man that you
- 57:16Speaker 11: all worship, allegedly discarded a newborn baby in Lake Michigan.
- 57:20Speaker 11: The document asserted that he assaulted a thirteen year old
- 57:22Speaker 11: girl who became pregnant and got rid of the baby
- 57:25Speaker 11: in front of him. For some magical reason, Trump needed
- 57:28Speaker 11: to be there to be a witness. I guess these
- 57:30Speaker 11: accusations are crazy and it's just the surface. Richard Nixon
- 57:34Speaker 11: was removed for doing far less. What is racist America's
- 57:37Speaker 11: response to these revelations not a damn thing, like, are
- 57:41Speaker 11: you guys going to demand justice? At least? Are you
- 57:43Speaker 11: not going to storm the gates of the White House
- 57:45Speaker 11: and demand that something be done? Of course not because
- 57:47Speaker 11: you're all too scared to admit who he is because
- 57:50Speaker 11: of what it will reveal about you, which is why
- 57:53Speaker 11: you're thrilled to be hanging up your lights while pretending
- 57:55Speaker 11: to love your family, giving the men in your life wallets,
- 57:58Speaker 11: and buying the repeated set of earrings the women. This
- 58:00Speaker 11: proves the Christian holiday isn't a celebration.
- 58:03Speaker 4: It's a trap.
- 58:04Speaker 11: It's the ultimate energy extraction and memory wiping machine. This
- 58:07Speaker 11: holiday is designed to do two things. Strain your bank
- 58:10Speaker 11: account and reset your rage. More importantly, it makes you
- 58:13Speaker 11: forget the unspeakable, makes you normalize the monstrous behavior, and
- 58:16Speaker 11: it turns world ending corruption into background noise behind Mariah Carey,
- 58:21Speaker 11: which is why nobody takes you seriously.
- 58:23Speaker 4: You would rather have.
- 58:24Speaker 11: A silent night than a loud, righteous demand for what
- 58:27Speaker 11: is right, and that is sad.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Yes, allegedly, well, I mean these are in the Epstein Files.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Yes, I heard about it. Yeah, sure it is.
- 58:37Speaker 4: Yeah, So for those of you that may it may
- 58:40Speaker 4: have skipped and I'm paraphrasing this, of course, and this
- 58:42Speaker 4: is all alleged, but actually, you know, there's a page
- 58:48Speaker 4: in the Epstein Files where a young girl recounts a
- 58:52Speaker 4: situation where sex trafficking and the results kind of got
- 58:57Speaker 4: her pregnant. She was, you know, their conservative, so termination
- 59:03Speaker 4: wasn't on the menu. They made her carry that baby
- 59:08Speaker 4: full term and then unalive. I guess I can say
- 59:14Speaker 4: killed on this show, killed the baby. It just sounds
- 59:17Speaker 4: better when I say I'm alive because that you know. Anyways, Yeah,
- 59:22Speaker 4: and disposed of the body in Lake Michigan. And supposedly
- 59:31Speaker 4: are those doritos. I feel like we need indorsets. No,
- 59:35Speaker 4: I'm telling you anyways, what's but no took and disposed
- 59:43Speaker 4: of the body in Lake Michigan. So again, all alleged
- 59:50Speaker 4: Epstein Files page. If you haven't heard it, read it.
- 59:56Speaker 4: I don't know even the stuff that I've read, and
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: just the just it's right in our faces. It's here,
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: and I thought, at least this would be the this
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: would be the gavel. No, y'all still dancing around and
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: everybody's still pretending like this has some kind of normal weight.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: It doesn't.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: And you got people still justifying them. How do you
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: justify raping a child?
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: There's a literally.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Some of his followers are still trying to justify this.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: But you know what, lyrics, this is the thing, and
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: this is the thing that I've kind of realized a
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: lot of them grew up in these same type situations.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: That's why for a large part of the population, none
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: of this is surprising because that is of the same
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: or similar backgrounds that some of them have. If it's no, no,
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I'm not saying that should it's not like you. You know,
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: like you and I we've grown from the time that
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: you know we meant to even now and definitely from
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: the time that we were kids and up. But it
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: was because of our changing circumstances. It was because of
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: the choices that we made. When you are in situations
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: that you don't make better choices, or you don't see
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: different options, you don't want different That is part of
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: the conservative movement, That is part of the mind control.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: If they don't know that there's better, they can't work
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: to achieve it. And it's just so eye opening to
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: see so much of just all of this and how
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: it works, how media is used to manipulate in program
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: like when they call it TV programming, I know why
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: they call it that. And wow, it's just it's so
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: mind blowing. I've been writing about this. I've been blogging
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: about this. It's it's been our journaling. Actually, I've been
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: doing a whole lot of journaling. Some of those may
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: actually make it to the book. But yeah, it's a
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: lot your thoughts not you chew one. This is so good.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I'm hungry.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: I mean, it's fine.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I'm not striving myself in twenty twenty six. I'm gonna
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: eat when i'm hungry.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Liberated, NA.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: But we gotta we gotta stop. I'm not saying that
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: that's what you're saying, but in the O, but the
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: overall outlook of things, I feel like it's a lot
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: of protection against people who do crimes against children. Yep,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: and crimes against women as well. It has been tolerated,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: and we need to stop normalizing that shit. Oh yeah,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: because why are people who rape children or even kill
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: children are getting charged less jail time than people who
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: are still in jail to this day for marijuana. Yep,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: did y'all know that?
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Did some of y'all motherfuckers didn't know?
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: What do you mean?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: But yes, it's but but it's it's ridiculous, It's ridiculous.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: The system has been broken for a long time. Who's
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: gonna fix it? How can we fix it? What do
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: we do from here? Because honestly, if we keep this
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: man in office any longer than America as we once
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: knew it, even though it wasn't the greatest, but if
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: we could still tolerate certain things, we were still manageable,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: we could still manage certain things, we would still be
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: able to live. He is going to destroy everything that
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: has been put in place from even the sixties. I
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: watch what I say, bilbol White's movement, and the act
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: that was put in place is next on the agenda
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: shot block.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: They gonna do it. I'm telling you, you see them
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: moving more towards it like the I mean let's be honest,
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: MAGA is like your end goal is to be legally racist.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: That's literally look like that's what you want. That's your
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: d gang, that's your goal. You just want it. You know,
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: you just want to legally be able to say you know, nigga,
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: which you already can, but so many of you just don't.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: It's pretty much just about you being able to be
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: legally racist. That is what it is in my opinion,
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: of course, but it's obvious at this point.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: No, I agree with that because why I don't know
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: what group this was. I just saw a picture of
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: it and it rubbed me the wrong way. Why y'all
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: got pins of nooses? Why y'all wearing that shit.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: It's just it's so strange. This whole alligator Alcatraz. It
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: reminds me of when they used to feed black babies
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: the alligators. Like, what is this fixation? What is all
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: of this that y'all? I'll tell you what, Sorry, Adhd,
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: but I'll tell you this. I was watching Hunger Games
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: over the weekend. Hold on, when I watched it. Now,
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: I'd never for those of you about to get on
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: me and stuff, I've never actually sat down and watched
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: the movies through and through. I know the story. I've
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: been in the room when it was playing, but I
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: was probably on my phone or doing something else and
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: not really paying attention to it. But when I sat
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: down and actually paid attention to the story, I'm like,
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: I can basically yeah, mm hmm yeah. Because those those
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: I guess those what they call them districts, those districts
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: rebelled and broke off into separate ones. And then it
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: was like, okay, well, in order to get I don't
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: know what they were getting out of it, I guess
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: not being.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Killed, food resources. So in order to say that's going
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: on right now.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: They had to offer up.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: One boy one girl from every district there.
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: You go, and then they had to fight to the
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: death until one of them stayed alive.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: And I don't that sound familiar to the shit that
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Trump tried to do. Didn't he just say he was
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: he wanted to have a competition for a prize for
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: one boy and one girl out of each state.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: Those are out of sports, but I can see. But
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: it's damn.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: That's how you know he's not right up here, because
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: you're correlating what you're trying to do to a fucking movie.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: But here's the thing.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Can't be fucking raal.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: But this is bigger than just him, and that's the problem.
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: This is like this ain't let's take grandpa's keys because
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: he can't drive no more. This is literal. Oh well,
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: let's see how far he can take it, because I
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: hate niggas too, and it's like, are.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: You all right? Listen? If every minority went back to
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: their origin country, every single minority, and there was only
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: white people here, the United States would collapse and sink
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: and three to six months, I'm telling you now, the
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: United States as we know it, If every minority was
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: removed and they went back to their respective countries and
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: it was only Caucasians left here, the United States as
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: we know it would collapse and stink.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: Let's not forget stink, because it's all y'all over you.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: You don't like to watch.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Y'all forget how many inventors, engineers, physicians, lawyers, Yes.
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: They've forgotten all of that people, all.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Of them know that you don't want to do.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: Lyric is so frustrations.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Plumbers, all of that ship, who's gonna do the fucking work.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: It's so frustrating because then I'm looking at how they're
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: trying to manipulate history, how they want to take shit
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: out and you know, remove certain things and omit others.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: And I'm like, dog, this world has been around for
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: a while. How long y'all been doing this?
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: But you know what, that's why they want That's why
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: they want to get rid of us. That's why because
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: as much as you try to whitewash something that has
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: always been us there to witness it. So regardless of
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: how much y'all try to put this white face on
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: everything and make it sense nothing happened, We're still going
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: to be teaching our children. We're still going to be
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: teaching those in our family of what really happened. And
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: they don't want even that. They want to erase everything
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: that we've contributed to this country. They want to make
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: it so they can take away that white guilt.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: This is the thing. And that's another thing. If you
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: keep doing it, no all, but you got it. You
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: can't say I'm sick of white guilt and then do
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: the same thing that made you feel guilty. Like you
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: are a whole different person, You're a whole different generation
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: than the people of the past. If you want to
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: not feel something, stop doing it. I mean, that's pretty
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: sid that seems pretty easy.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: It seems like it would be so very hard to
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: elect who you elect, who has now put this battery
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: in these people's back, who would have never never said
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: certain things to people in public, and they make it
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: seem like it's okay, you say what you want, be
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: a proud boy, this, that and the third. Then you
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: have all this. Me I've always been like this, I
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: respect it more. If you show me your racism, then
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: you trying to hide it. Let me know who I'm
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: dealing with. I want to know. I do want to know.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I don't want to be all cool and thinking that
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: you know we this, that and the third and the
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: whole time you have you have certain views about black
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: people and you don't really like funk with them like that,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: and you keep came at home and saying nigga on
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: your fucking cat. Yet are now show me, show me,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: show me your racism. Let's see it.
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I can't know I'm playing no. I
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: honestly I believe the same thing. And it's so saddening
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: to see so many people just I don't know, just
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: lose their livelihoods you know, I'm looking around and I'm
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: seeing all these people out of work. You know, Black people,
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: we always gonna adjust, We always gonna make stuff funny,
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: we always gonna tell a good.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Story, but we always gonna survive that.
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: I mean, heavy on it, but at the same time
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: we you know, it's it's very sad because you have
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: a lot of people that have worked their asses off,
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: like they talk about d e I. And I've been
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: on right wing Christian side side since the algorithm reset,
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: so I got to see some of those videos before
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: they was like, oh, there's a nigga here and remove them.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: So a lot of the DEI talk has been around
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: this idea that DEI means that you have to give
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: a person a job because they're black, like not because
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: they're qualified. And that's the part that so many have missed.
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: They're they're not listening. It's DEI isn't to make sure
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: that a black person gets a job. It's to make
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: sure that a black person isn't disqualified from a job
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: because they're black.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Period.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: That is what that means.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Of course, just like just like they twist everything, just
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: like when we said black lives matter, all lives matter,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: it's not just black lives lives matter too. We matter
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: to all lives matter exactly, is fact. Let's take it
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: a step further and say blue lives matter too. That
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: that's not.
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: What we're saying because y'all aren't in any danger.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Y're not getting killed us the alarming rate by by
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: being unarmed and black by the police. Y'all not having
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: to deal with that shit. Not all just saying our
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: lives matter.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: Yes, and this should be even more evident. This should
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: be even more evident now. He wants to make it
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: legal so that they can go out and racially profile people.
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: This is what we're talking about.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: When I tell you nobody is going in this new age,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: nobody is going for that. I'm telling you what's gonna happen.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: He's trying to start a civil war in the United
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: States because nobody is going for that bullshit.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: Nobody though, And I mean, you have all these bots
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: manipulating shit. You don't know what's real and what's not.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: I looked over there on right right wing media. They
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: got all kind of videos and creepy ass conspiracy theories
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: and everything else. Then you got goddamn dumb ass, a
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: bad built Barbie of them all. Nicki Minaj over there
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: on right wing media to talk on turning point.
- 1:13:25Speaker 19: I don't know if he even knows this, but he's
- 1:13:28Speaker 19: given so many people hope that there's a chance to
- 1:13:34Speaker 19: beat the bad guys and to win, and to do
- 1:13:39Speaker 19: it with your head held high and your integrity intact.
- 1:13:48Speaker 19: He's from Queens, New York like me, so, but what
- 1:13:55Speaker 19: it's shown me personally is so sometimes you know, even
- 1:14:01Speaker 19: in the worst feeling times in your life, you think
- 1:14:05Speaker 19: that you're never going to come back from it.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: But you do.
- 1:14:09Speaker 19: And our president shows that he's been through every single
- 1:14:14Speaker 19: thing a person could be through. Publicly having a constantly
- 1:14:20Speaker 19: be lied on, it's not really that funny until you
- 1:14:27Speaker 19: are in that person's shoes that's being lied on, you'll
- 1:14:32Speaker 19: never understand what it feels like. That person is a
- 1:14:35Speaker 19: human being. They have a family who has to read
- 1:14:37Speaker 19: those lies, and that's not and it's just not fair.
- 1:14:44Speaker 19: But this administration.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Is full of people with heart and soul.
- 1:14:54Speaker 19: And and they make me proud of them. Our advice president,
- 1:15:01Speaker 19: he makes me well. I love both of them, but
- 1:15:06Speaker 19: they're they're they're both powerful men, smart, strong, all of that,
- 1:15:15Speaker 19: but both of them have a very uncanny ability to
- 1:15:20Speaker 19: be someone that you relate to. I can relate to
- 1:15:24Speaker 19: them when I hear them speak, I know that they're
- 1:15:27Speaker 19: one of us, like I know that they're not.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Don't you guys agree?
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: They haven't.
- 1:15:33Speaker 19: They haven't lost they haven't lost.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Touch of the world.
- 1:15:38Speaker 19: You know, they're still connected to the world and what's
- 1:15:41Speaker 19: happening in the world with the younger people and older people,
- 1:15:46Speaker 19: with the richer people and not so rich people. They
- 1:15:49Speaker 19: have the ability to still connect and be real and
- 1:15:54Speaker 19: make us feel proud to be American?
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: Did you see?
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I did see it? Unless why I'm I'm let me
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: be the one to say it, and I don't give
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: a fuck who got a problem with it? I signed
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: that petition? Yes, the fun I did have to bye
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: next time? Yes, I did sign it.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: Lyrics What I did?
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: That?
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Shorted? Again?
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: Listen, you aren't going to come over here? First off?
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: Why are you this is politics, Nikki? Why are you
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: over here?
- 1:16:36Speaker 5: Like?
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: Why are you here?
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Because he's mad at the music industry because they didn't
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: do certain things and she felt like she was out
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: here unprotected? Girl?
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: What one something you sign yourself up with?
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: You alienated supremacy of your You alienated half of your
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: fan base, you lost over seven million followers, and then
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: now it's somebody reported seventy over seventy signatures. By the
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: time I got my happy ass on that website, it
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: was that eighty five boo boo. Yeah, but you can
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: go back to Trinidad with that bullshit and take and
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: take mister petty the child touch her with you listen.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: And that's another thing. So that's been another one that's
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: been floating around because people are saying, you know what,
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: I think I even said it, because I think I
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: said it first ship, didn't I say, it'll be funny
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: if NICKI twirk her ass over there and ask for
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: a pardon for her brother and her husband.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and guess what, you know, you know what's coming?
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: You know, well, you know they're trying to get rid
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: of the registry.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I did not know that.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's another thing that's that's going And again I
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: don't have the notes because we're just freestyling the show,
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: but I'll put it in my notes to bring up
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: next week with some actual Actually you know what, Google is.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Free out of my face because I love the street listen.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Every time I move, I get my black ass on
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: there and I want to see who's been touching kids,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: what neighbors has been doing certain shit, so I know
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: not I say the fuck away from them, like no,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: and tell my kids, let me know if this motherfucker
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: been looking at you too long. Yeah, I'm that parent.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck. I did it when I
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: moved here. Yeah, stop sucking playing. Matter of fact, there's
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: there's a couple that live in our complex right the
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: fuck now, No, not playing. They need to keep that shit.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: But I already know the agenda with that, because if
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: they erase all of the stuff for a proof, all
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: that Epstein shit, it's gonna go right out the window.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: That's why goat trying to age and change the age
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: of consent right now? Did you know that they're trying
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: to They're trying to change the age of consent, so
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: everybody basically gets pardoned and there is that ends up
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: being no crime.
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: Here you go. KLS TV five Rights in Utah Rights
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: proposed bill would shortened time on Utah's registry for some
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: sex offenders. This is on their website. It says a
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: Republican senator is proposing changes to Utah's sex kidnapped and
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: child abuse offender registry?
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: What kind of what kind of senators say that.
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: Again, Senator Todd Weyler, are what side a Republican senator? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: so there you go. I mean, this is what they're
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: trying to do. And this ain't news today, so I'm
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: not getting too deep in it. But yeah, I mean,
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: I don't know what else to say. We it's it's
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: right there, America. What are we doing? What's what's the
- 1:19:52Speaker 4: next move? Y'all? Are you're the people that we've You've
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: taken money out of our checks every every pay period,
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: every one of them holes. You know when I when
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: I rolled my car down your street and I hit
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: a pothole and I go, God, damn it. That's what
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: it goes towards. But it also goes towards you making
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: legislation that works for us all and not allowing what
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: we all agreed was a democracy, we all agreed this
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: long time ago, not a dictatorship, because none of us
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: wants to be controlled. White people. You don't want to
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: be controlled. And what is this transfer? Everybody? Bullshit? Because
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: that's not a thing. Nobody's forcing a penis onto a vagina.
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Nobody's forcing you to slip your shit inside out, young man, Like,
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: none of that is happening, none of it. This is
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: you're very deranged, seemingly very ill leader kind of you know,
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: using clickbait and key phrases and trigger terms to manipulate
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: ate you all to do the same thing that so
- 1:21:03Speaker 4: many of your past have done that make you feel
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: like you're guilty today. That is what it is. Help us,
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: help you because I don't know what else tell you,
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: because this is some bullshit. Up next, we're bringing out home.
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: What was the cause of the Civil War? The US
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Civil War in the eighteen.
- 1:21:24Speaker 5: Hundreds, that's the cause of the civil war?
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: What do you think the cause of the Civil war was?
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:21:34Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: What would you say is the cause of the Civil war?
- 1:21:38Speaker 17: The Civil War?
- 1:21:40Speaker 20: What caused the Civil War?
- 1:21:45Speaker 18: They mostly I'm thinking of of the First War when
- 1:21:51Speaker 18: we became Americans.
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: And then we had a civil war. What do you
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: think caused our civil war?
- 1:21:58Speaker 10: Sin?
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: I suppose you know there is something evil. Mankind is
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: hard on each other man.
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: Yeah, And what do you think, sir, was the cause
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: of the United States Civil War called.
- 1:22:12Speaker 18: The Civil War. Well, let's see the North and South
- 1:22:18Speaker 18: they couldn't get along. It could happen here too.
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: Do you think we're near that here? What do you
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: think we're getting toward a civil war? Again?
- 1:22:30Speaker 18: The Good Lord only knows, but I think, you know,
- 1:22:34Speaker 18: if he thought it was going to end up this way.
- 1:22:37Speaker 18: People are supposed to get along, aren't we. We're all Americans,
- 1:22:41Speaker 18: not just Democrats and Republicans.
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: What do you think is the cause of the Civil War?
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: The US Civil War?
- 1:22:47Speaker 9: Well, I think the Democrats are pushing the race issue
- 1:22:50Speaker 9: extremely far. I don't I had a black man at
- 1:22:53Speaker 9: the at my door the other day. I don't have
- 1:22:56Speaker 9: an issue with race, but they're making such a big issue.
- 1:23:01Speaker 9: They're making it, you know, just even with this Claudia
- 1:23:04Speaker 9: Gay that she was asked to resign from this college
- 1:23:07Speaker 9: in Harvard. It's not a race issue, but they're making
- 1:23:11Speaker 9: it that And I don't agree with that.
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: What about the Civil War in the eighteen hundreds, what
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: do you think was the cause of that?
- 1:23:16Speaker 8: Ah?
- 1:23:19Speaker 9: Yeah, I was slavery, wasn't.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: It seems that way. What do you think caused the
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: Civil War?
- 1:23:25Speaker 21: It's probably the division of states and the people over
- 1:23:29Speaker 21: what Well, right now, they're trying to take the people's
- 1:23:32Speaker 21: right to vote away. I mean, if you're in Colorado,
- 1:23:36Speaker 21: and I think Trump probably actually won Colorado, whether it
- 1:23:38Speaker 21: says it on paper or not. Like I said, I've
- 1:23:41Speaker 21: watched a lot of stuff and there's a lot of
- 1:23:44Speaker 21: voter fraud, a lot of when you can't control all
- 1:23:49Speaker 21: the right imbalots and stuff like that. And you know,
- 1:23:51Speaker 21: the sad part about it is Trump actually told us
- 1:23:53Speaker 21: before this even happened, this is what they were going
- 1:23:56Speaker 21: to do, and they did it. I mean, I know
- 1:24:00Speaker 21: of people and I actually I drove.
- 1:24:02Speaker 22: Not that we're going to start or but I think
- 1:24:04Speaker 22: people are going to get fed up. And I think
- 1:24:05Speaker 22: you know, there was rights in the street how many
- 1:24:07Speaker 22: years ago, crazy everywhere, and I think that that could
- 1:24:11Speaker 22: happen again, maybe in a bigger scale.
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: But also like even like you mentioned Minneapolis, the George
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: Floyd thing.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: That was all set up too.
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: How is that set up that police.
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: Software would what didn't have his knee on the neck?
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: Did you see the video?
- 1:24:30Speaker 4: No, I didn't see the video.
- 1:24:32Speaker 17: We're trying to get a feel for people where they
- 1:24:34Speaker 17: stand on the issues. Do you believe schools should be
- 1:24:36Speaker 17: teaching critical race theory?
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: No?
- 1:24:39Speaker 17: Why not?
- 1:24:44Speaker 20: I feel like, honestly it brings about more racism, bringing
- 1:24:51Speaker 20: more issues around that don't need to be.
- 1:24:53Speaker 17: What is critical race theory? For people that don't understand it?
- 1:24:57Speaker 20: See, I really don't even know. I'm assuming. Can you
- 1:25:01Speaker 20: explain it a little bit to me?
- 1:25:02Speaker 17: Honestly? Do you think American should ban fracking?
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: No?
- 1:25:07Speaker 17: You don't. Do you feel strongly about fracking?
- 1:25:09Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:25:13Speaker 23: That's a good question.
- 1:25:16Speaker 17: Not to drill this point home. But people that are
- 1:25:17Speaker 17: involved in fracking, what are they doing?
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:25:22Speaker 17: Do you think Trump or Harris would be better for
- 1:25:24Speaker 17: the GDP?
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: Well, Trump's going to be better at anything than her.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: She can't even speak, let alone look at you. I mean, yeah,
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: she's not good for anything.
- 1:25:35Speaker 17: In terms of the GDP. Do you think she has
- 1:25:37Speaker 17: an understanding of what it is? Do you think she
- 1:25:38Speaker 17: could even define it?
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: Probably not?
- 1:25:42Speaker 17: Can you?
- 1:25:42Speaker 18: No?
- 1:25:44Speaker 17: Do you think we need to keep socialism out of
- 1:25:46Speaker 17: the government?
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: Yeah you do?
- 1:25:47Speaker 23: Yeah, don't end up like Canada.
- 1:25:50Speaker 15: No.
- 1:25:52Speaker 17: How about Marxism Marxism?
- 1:25:55Speaker 23: Uh?
- 1:25:55Speaker 17: No, you don't think we should. For people that don't
- 1:25:59Speaker 17: understand Marxism, how would you even describe it to them?
- 1:26:02Speaker 23: Marxism. Uh, it's putting a point on somebody that. Yeah,
- 1:26:06Speaker 23: it's kind of a judgment thing. It's kind of a
- 1:26:09Speaker 23: basically it's a stereotype.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:26:13Speaker 17: Do you believe the deep state needs to be stopped?
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: Deep state? Yeah? But how do you do it? Who knows?
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: It's like saying we need to suit the stand at
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: the beach.
- 1:26:24Speaker 17: I mean, you know, what is the deep state?
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: Good question? Do you know what?
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: I've never met him. That they're real secret of the
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: sum bitches.
- 1:26:34Speaker 17: A lot of people have conflicting feelings about de I
- 1:26:38Speaker 17: is there? What's your main takeaway?
- 1:26:41Speaker 18: You know?
- 1:26:42Speaker 23: I think, uh, I think it's a good thing as
- 1:26:46Speaker 23: long as you don't misuse it. When you misuse it,
- 1:26:49Speaker 23: then I think it's a bad, bad situation.
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: What is it?
- 1:26:52Speaker 17: What does what does it stand for?
- 1:26:54Speaker 23: The Yeah, yeah, that's uh.
- 1:26:56Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:26:58Speaker 17: Do you think we should ban DEI? That's debatable, very debatable,
- 1:27:05Speaker 17: very debatable. And what is it for people that don't
- 1:27:07Speaker 17: know about the de I?
- 1:27:10Speaker 20: Yeah, I just I just think it's too corrupted, or
- 1:27:15Speaker 20: at least that's what is projected, is that it's very corrupted.
- 1:27:18Speaker 17: What is it that's a good question.
- 1:27:23Speaker 14: What is it to you?
- 1:27:24Speaker 17: What is it to me? I mean, it's pretty much
- 1:27:27Speaker 17: the acronym what it stands for. I think the DEI. Yeah,
- 1:27:31Speaker 17: and that's what that's what it is. That's what it is.
- 1:27:33Speaker 17: It is, it is what it is, and it is
- 1:27:35Speaker 17: those three letters, see it. Do you think we should
- 1:27:38Speaker 17: ban a de I?
- 1:27:39Speaker 8: I think so, you do?
- 1:27:41Speaker 4: I think so.
- 1:27:41Speaker 17: I think that we should take control over everything.
- 1:27:43Speaker 14: I mean right now, Donald Trump needs to rearrange everything.
- 1:27:47Speaker 17: Including de I everything. For people that don't understand what
- 1:27:52Speaker 17: is de I, well they need to really dig in
- 1:27:57Speaker 17: and find out.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: What it is.
- 1:27:59Speaker 17: They everybody else.
- 1:28:00Speaker 14: Everybody's hamburgers, but nobody knows where the meat is coming from.
- 1:28:04Speaker 17: So planed out what kind of media.
- 1:28:05Speaker 16: Eating it's cows, and that's what the d I is
- 1:28:08Speaker 16: exactly Okay, that's exactly right.
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: Hey, it's real job, RGR, Real talk radio. We keep
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: it real, all right. Niggas Lyric just sent me this
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: article that just popped up during the time that we
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: are recording. It, says Live Updates. This is from nbcmiami
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: dot Com Live Updates. Trump says, quote We're going to
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: run quote Venezuela after Maduro's capture President Nicholas Maduro and
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: First Lady Celia Flores were flown out of the country
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: after the strikes and faced narco terrorism charges in the
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: United States. Officials said, yeah. President Donald Trump announced their
- 1:28:58Speaker 4: rest and extradition of vine Swelling President Nicolas Moodero, Madero
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: and his wife in an overnight operation Saturday, detailing plans
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: for American oversight of the country's government and oil fields. Now,
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: notice he no, since you just sent this to me,
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: I have not unpacked my feelings about it because this
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: was literally posted, uh two minutes ago. Wow thoughts, miss Lyric.
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: Uh No, I have no thoughts, because it's like, I'm
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: not surprised that he's doing stuff like this. But y'all
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: mm hmmm, child well wearing murky waters. Wearing murky waters.
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: Nobody's gonna take me.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Because my name been and I ain't fucking in it.
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: But that's the thing, that's the thing, you kidnapping motherfucker.
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: Yeah. But see, that's the thing. You don't get to
- 1:30:05Speaker 4: be bening and not in it because if it was
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: just them, I wouldn't give a fat babies ass. But
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: it's not just them. It's them and all of us
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: because see while my eyes going down to seven to eleven,
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: talking about should I have this taketo or not? It
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: probably will kill me, Yeah, probably will kill me, but
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: I'm gonna get it anyways. Then bomb comes and kills me.
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: I mean, is it gonna be the taketo or is
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: it gonna be the bomb? I prefer to be the
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: taketo personally maybe, I mean, what the fuck you speak?
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: The only thing that we can do is speak out
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: against it. We won't rock with that ship. Okay, we
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: don't approve, but most most of people who don't live
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: in the United States can see that they have TikTok,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: they have social media. They see that we don't fuck
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: with this motherfucker. We're not standing behind this nigga well
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: on his own that when nobody's approved of except for
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: his cult members. Right, yes, they're a cult because you
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: think everybody knows right or wrong. There's no way in
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: in the world that just because he's the president that
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: you can still agree with the fucked up wrong shit
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: that he does. I don't care, and I mean that
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: for anybody across the board. It could be a family member, friend, whoever.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: If you doing some wrong, foul shit, I'm gonna tell
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: you every time let me ask you something, do you
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: I'm not gonna agree with it.
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: Do you know any black bagger at this point you
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: personally like that in your life?
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: No, not in my life. But I've still I still
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: see sprinkles that I'm online.
- 1:31:33Speaker 15: Wow.
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: M Just as long as y'all stay online and away
- 1:31:37Speaker 4: from me, that's fine, because you know, and that's another
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: bonus point of living up here in Conda. I don't
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: deal with much of that. I'll deal with white people doing,
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: you know, stuff, but not that.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I had to block a
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: content page I don't know, just so it wouldn't get
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: on my.
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: For you pa, And that's another thing with this Uh,
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: that's one of the things that's pissing me off. I
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: know this show is all over the place, but whatever
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: that whole TikTok algorithm that's yours changed also m hm okay,
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: because a lot of people were talking about it, and
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: I was like, hmm, didn't really happen to me, And
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: then I noticed that it happened to me. It's like
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: some of the creators that I'm saying normally right, stuff.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: That I normally scroll past and don't even interact with.
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: Don't right, I don't I mean for you, Paige. Fine,
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: though something in there a variety at least algorithmically like
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: that I want. But that's another thing. And you know what,
- 1:32:42Speaker 4: this reminds me of a conversation. So I went out
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: earlier in the week and I was there and I
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: ran into somebody that was that I was having a
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: conversation with before, and we got to talking about how
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: the industry itself. His whole point was he's an an R,
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: and because he's an A and R, he gets to
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: decide what it is that's popular and then groom that
- 1:33:09Speaker 4: person to whatever it is that they do. Now, you speaking,
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: you just went through school for this in your you know,
- 1:33:18Speaker 4: in your educated opinion, what does an an R do?
- 1:33:23Speaker 4: What is the purpose of them?
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: The purpose the purpose of an an R find new
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: talent for the record label and sign and facilitate a
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: contract between the artists and the record label.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: Okay, so they're.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: Also there to cultivate their sounds. However, an A and
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: r's job is not just to find the same thing
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: that's already out. They're supposed to find something different. That's
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: how you that's how you get out if you're bringing
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: something different to the music industry that's not already out
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: if that makes sense, Like, what are you doing? Like,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: everybody can sing, everybody can talent, everybody has talent, everybody
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: can be a triple threat singing, rap and dance. But
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: what are you doing differently with your craft that's going
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: to make people interested? Now his cell records?
- 1:34:25Speaker 4: Right, Okay, So that is the book definition of what
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: Nayanar does, which is what I thought. But what from
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: my actual experience in seeing how people move like you
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: were saying earlier in the show about how people keep
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: delegating responsibilities to people that it's not their responsibility of
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: the responsibility rather, yeah, I see a lot of that
- 1:34:47Speaker 4: for talent scouts. Also because he went on to say,
- 1:34:50Speaker 4: first he fat shamed somebody. He was like, because I'm
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: gonna make sure that you know, because she ain't the look,
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: and this that and the third she was big And
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: I'm like, what do you mean, I'm not gonna say
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: what we were talking about, but he's like, because you know,
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: you got to get the right person and then they
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: get the talent. My whole argument was that far too
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: often are the artists actual art neglected because y'all keep
- 1:35:19Speaker 4: choosing the face of what it is that you want
- 1:35:23Speaker 4: to be seen. You deem somebody that's not marketable because
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: they don't look like what's already out there. And I
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: think that a large portion of art gets left out,
- 1:35:36Speaker 4: a large portion of art we don't get exposed to
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: because y'all, like y'all, y'all make a bottleneck for what
- 1:35:43Speaker 4: it is that you want to actually put out there. Yeah, money,
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: that's a sex.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: Sex sells. Sex always sells. But why do you take
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: a lot of money nowadays? Are choosing to be independent?
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: Why because when you sign these ship deals with these
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: record labels, because they are ship they are when you sign,
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: they're not understanding what it is that they're signing for real.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: And this is why it's so important for anybody who's
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: an artist to educate themselves on the business side of it,
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: very very important, because you think just because you sign
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: with this major label, you're rich. You got it, you
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: got it made. Please watch the TLC story, watch their
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: talk to different.
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: Artists, watch the DVD store. I mean, most of these.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Artists are still sleeping on their freaking couch. Not all
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: of them, but most of them are still couch hopping.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: Why because what they don't tell you is that advance
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: that they give you, it goes towards recording the album,
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: the studio time, the payment for choreographers, the payment to producers,
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: the payment for cracks, all of that stuff is and
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: you have to use whatever money that you can to
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: make these this happen to produce an album to even
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: pay back the label. Yeah, and depending on what type
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: of deal you sign, if you signed like a three
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: album deal, you better stretch that fucking money out for those.
- 1:37:19Speaker 4: Three albums exactly. But would you agree that a large
- 1:37:22Speaker 4: large portion of those contracts don't you agree that they
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: are predatory?
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: Yes, they are very predatory, exactly.
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: And that was my point. And his whole thing was
- 1:37:32Speaker 4: it's his job to groom the artists and make sure
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: that the artist is right. And I'm like, but you
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: guys are neglecting, like you're selling what you think, what
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: you perceive to be popular and bringing it back to
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: the TikTok algorithm. That is why a large portion of
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: us liked TikTok. The underdog, the people that weren't put
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: always on platforms and stuff. They then got the no variety.
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: They then got the opportunities that they deserved, and it
- 1:38:04Speaker 4: was based off of popularity, it was based off of merit,
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: it was based off of what it is that they
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: then cultivated within whatever community that they were popular in
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: and able to make a you know, like the content.
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: They were able to make money off of their actual talent,
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: their god given art. I love that about TikTok. But
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: now again everything's algorithmic. Why do I need Why do
- 1:38:34Speaker 4: I need something telling me that I might like this?
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: Why not just give me the opportunities? Why not just
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: give me like suggested videos? Sure, but an algorithm, no,
- 1:38:46Speaker 4: give like That's why I liked YouTube. YouTube would always
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: give you suggestions of different things. I liked suggestions, But
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: I should not only be able to view what you
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: force feed me. That was my point, and he, of
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: course thought a lot different being in a n R
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: and being doing things that you know aren't actually his responsibility.
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: Like I feel like they have choreographers. I feel like
- 1:39:11Speaker 4: they have image consultants. I feel like they have they do.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: There's a department for every.
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: Pretty everything everything. So when they say that you are
- 1:39:22Speaker 4: a talent scout, which is pretty much what an R does,
- 1:39:27Speaker 4: if you're that talent scout, go out and find the talent.
- 1:39:30Speaker 4: It's not your actual job to determine whether or not
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: the talent is attached to the face, body or otherwise
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: that you would then deem acceptable or marketable. That is
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: my point.
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: They have a marketing team for that.
- 1:39:44Speaker 4: They do. It's a whole development.
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: They have development.
- 1:39:50Speaker 4: But you know how, You know because you went to
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: school and you learn things, and you know how I
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: know because I sit down and not read things.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: And I'm not what it is.
- 1:40:00Speaker 4: Yeah, they do.
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: Like nobody's doing anything by the book or how they're
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: supposed to. So so everything can move smoothly, y'all just
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: decide that, Okay, we got the base of it. Now
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna elaborate on it and do what I want
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: to do and push my will on this job description
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: and just put my two cents and some shit that
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: I really shouldn't even be speaking about lyrics.
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: Something just dawned on me. A light bulb just lit
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: up in my head. White people then stole the Chitlin circuit.
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: Your own niggas mocking the Chicken circuit, I mean, the
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: Chitlin circuit. Now, what the fuck?
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: Relatively and literally because why is Chitlin so high in
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: the motherfucking store now?
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: And why are y'all operating the government like niggas is
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: operating in go go bands? Why why Kennedy Trump, Kennedy Center,
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: Get the Man. Anyways, So welcome to twenty twenty six, y'all.
