- 0:04Speaker 2: All right, first thing that we have for you here
- 0:10Speaker 2: is uh, you know Vince Gilligan, right, yeah, TV guy,
- 0:15Speaker 2: better call Saul breaking down, you know all those shows.
- 0:19Speaker 2: His next series is sort of a sci fi sci
- 0:24Speaker 2: fi adjacent kind of a thing. Okay, it's sort of
- 0:27Speaker 2: in the realm of you know, Severanser Foundation for All Mankind,
- 0:32Speaker 2: that kind of thing. It's called Pluribus, starring Rhea Seahorn
- 0:39Speaker 2: as Kim Wexler. Now here's here's hi, Carol.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Thank you for calling. Yep, this must be so bewildering
- 0:53Speaker 1: for you. Completely up to you, of course, but you
- 0:56Speaker 1: might want to stick close to home for the next
- 0:58Speaker 1: few days. If we can help you in anyway, please
- 1:00Speaker 1: let us know. We can deliver food, medicine, whatever you need.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We are here for you. Rest assured, Carol, we will
- 1:10Speaker 1: figure out what makes you different.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Now she's talking to the President.
- 1:15Speaker 1: So we can fix this on the phone, so you
- 1:17Speaker 1: can join us, and he's on television. We feel like
- 1:23Speaker 1: we're doing all the talking.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Here.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Are there any questions you might have for us, Carol?
- 1:27Speaker 2: I guess to start with what there we go? Okay,
- 1:35Speaker 2: this Pluribus is set in the world where everyone is happy, okay.
- 1:40Speaker 2: How why, we don't know. But the show follows the
- 1:44Speaker 2: one person in the world who isn't happy okay, and
- 1:47Speaker 2: it will be her job to save the world from happiness.
- 1:52Speaker 2: All right. So yeah, that's that's that's going to be
- 1:56Speaker 2: coming out. Looks like November seven, new episode every Friday
- 2:01Speaker 2: through December twenty six. It will be on Apple TV Plus. Yes,
- 2:06Speaker 2: Apple TV Plus, so look for that.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Now.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Anime in America is just blowing up. It's getting very
- 2:17Speaker 2: very popular because of K pop. I don't know, I
- 2:20Speaker 2: can't explain it, but Chainsaw Man is going to be
- 2:25Speaker 2: in theater's October twenty fourth, and Chainsaw Hudson is very exciting.
- 2:30Speaker 2: No Chainsaw Man. But there's a trailer for this if
- 2:34Speaker 2: you want to get a look at it. The reason
- 2:38Speaker 2: that I would say to watch this is for the song.
- 2:44Speaker 2: If you want an earworm, alright, just man. Yeah, this
- 2:52Speaker 2: is the opening sequence for Chainsaw Man the movie rese Arcot.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's said to Kenshi Yizu's song Iris Out, which has
- 3:09Speaker 2: broken several records, including reaching number five on the Billboard
- 3:12Speaker 2: Global two hundred, the highest spot ever for a Japanese song,
- 3:15Speaker 2: also top the Billboard Japan Hot one hundred. All right,
- 3:25Speaker 2: I would explain to you what Chainsaw Man is about,
- 3:27Speaker 2: but it's just a little hard to believe. I mean,
- 3:30Speaker 2: there's a demon, he's fused with a dog. It's he's
- 3:34Speaker 2: got a chainsaw face. He's I don't I don't want
- 3:39Speaker 2: to take you down that road. Just go and listen
- 3:41Speaker 2: to that song. Actually it is the real reason.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Does it bear any resemblance to Chainsaw Guy?
- 3:46Speaker 2: Not as I want to know if I have a lawsuit,
- 3:48Speaker 2: Not at all. They were smart about this, they probably, Yeah,
- 3:55Speaker 2: they did, all right, and they went a different direction.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Let's see, New York Comic Con was for the weekend,
- 4:00Speaker 2: so a lot of things got dropped on us, including
- 4:04Speaker 2: our first look at Marvel TV's Wonder Man. Uh this
- 4:10Speaker 2: is h yaha, adul Mattein the second and Sir Ben
- 4:14Speaker 2: Kingsley you have to put he earned that. The sir
- 4:18Speaker 2: in there, and they dropped a trailer for it. Now,
- 4:22Speaker 2: what's interesting about this is it's it's sort of self
- 4:26Speaker 2: deprecating about the whole superhero movie industry. Okay, so let's
- 4:32Speaker 2: let's take a look at it. The entertainment world is
- 4:35Speaker 2: stunned today when internationally celebrated and reclusive filmmaker von Kovak
- 4:39Speaker 2: sprung out of retirement to sign on for a remake
- 4:42Speaker 2: of wonder Man.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Mister von Kovak, could you tell us more? Everyone is
- 4:46Speaker 1: style of those superheroes. There is an opportunity to reimagine
- 4:52Speaker 1: a whole young, little storytelling. Have you thought about casting?
- 4:57Speaker 1: So what's this figure out this you talking about?
- 5:00Speaker 2: It's a huge opportunity.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm auditioning for wonder Man.
- 5:05Speaker 2: That's Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery who was the actor.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Okay, sorry, were you crazy? I was born to play
- 5:13Speaker 1: this character. Are you serious? But they are already talking
- 5:17Speaker 1: to Leo.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Well, the idea is that wonder Man is an old
- 5:22Speaker 2: B movie and they've decided to remake it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You just gotta go out there on course.
- 5:30Speaker 2: So yeah, it's it's going to be a kind of
- 5:32Speaker 2: a self deprecating look at actors in superhero films. So
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to that will be interesting. We also
- 5:40Speaker 2: got another look at Starfleet Academy. It's a trailer that
- 5:45Speaker 2: has just been dropped and that's available. You can go
- 5:47Speaker 2: and watch that. But the one part that we didn't
- 5:50Speaker 2: know was that Stephen Colbert is involved. Believe it or not.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Is that is that animated?
- 5:57Speaker 2: No, it's it's live action. Okay, but here's how Stephen
- 6:00Speaker 2: Colbert let everybody at New York Comic Con know that
- 6:03Speaker 2: he was involved.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Greetings and felicitations, New York Comic Con. 'tis I Stephen Colbert? Folks,
- 6:11Speaker 3: I'm sorry I couldn't be with you in person today,
- 6:13Speaker 3: but I'm a perfectionist and I just didn't have enough
- 6:15Speaker 3: bunting for my Mugato cosplay. However, nothing could stop me
- 6:20Speaker 3: from sharing this exciting news. I am honored to announce
- 6:24Speaker 3: that my beautiful voice will be joining Star Trek's Starfleet
- 6:27Speaker 3: Academy as the Digital Dean of Students, where I'll get
- 6:31Speaker 3: to announce things like attention and sign Krebs, your teleaxian
- 6:35Speaker 3: Furfly has exited the Replicator and is now mating with itself.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Please report to Science Lab one immediately. Children are watching.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's an actual.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Line, so he will be He will be on Starfleet
- 6:50Speaker 2: Academy when it premieres. We also got word that there
- 6:54Speaker 2: is another Jumanji movie being made because somebody smells money.
- 6:59Speaker 2: The original cast is coming back, but they're being joined
- 7:02Speaker 2: by Brittany O'Grady, who's best known for the first season
- 7:05Speaker 2: of White Lotus.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Let's see, there have been there have been two Jumanjies.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Right, this is like if you count the original, this
- 7:12Speaker 2: is like the fourth one. Really yeah, if you count
- 7:16Speaker 2: the written you know, the Robin Williams one.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Right, So, and why wouldn't you? You would you?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Just did? I have? I'll continue It's easy.
