- 1:26Speaker 3: Chip Howard Sports Talk. It's a July edition, so you
- 1:29Speaker 3: know what that means. There's no Chip. He'll be back
- 1:33Speaker 3: in August. After the SEC media days, Chip will return.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I have no idea if that's actually true. I'm just
- 1:40Speaker 3: going with that. Caleb, you can correct me if I'm wrong.
- 1:42Speaker 2: But sometime after the SEC.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's something close to that.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I don't know if it'll be immediately.
- 1:48Speaker 3: So Dusty and Caleb. For now, Rusty, it'll be Dusty
- 1:51Speaker 3: and Rusty coming up here at four point thirty and
- 1:54Speaker 3: we're here until we hand off to the Astros who
- 1:58Speaker 3: play the Nationals tonight. I believe that's a five point
- 2:01Speaker 3: forty five first pitch, so sometime around five point thirty
- 2:04Speaker 3: we'll be out of here. Maybe maybe a touch before,
- 2:07Speaker 3: but sometime close to that. We, like the rest of
- 2:11Speaker 3: the world, are in the studio watching the World Cup,
- 2:16Speaker 3: because there is I've got to say, well, not the
- 2:21Speaker 3: biggest soccer fan. I have enjoyed the World Cup immensely
- 2:25Speaker 3: for getting me through the summer adultrums. By this point
- 2:29Speaker 3: in the summer, I'm usually replaying like a spring game,
- 2:34Speaker 3: watching back to you know, game from last year, to
- 2:37Speaker 3: you know, just turn that on when I go home.
- 2:40Speaker 3: I it'd be one thing if, you know, I had
- 2:44Speaker 3: a TV where you could watch the Astros and the
- 2:47Speaker 3: Rangers on a regular basis, But I don't because they
- 2:50Speaker 3: want to keep that on their own special networks. So
- 2:52Speaker 3: they don't want me to watch it, so I won't.
- 2:55Speaker 2: That's about what it boils down to.
- 2:56Speaker 3: They don't want you to watch, and when I have watched,
- 3:00Speaker 3: understand why. Although the Astros won again, they won a
- 3:05Speaker 3: series again this weekend.
- 3:06Speaker 2: They're historically good on fourth July weekend.
- 3:08Speaker 3: They have won six of their last seven series they're
- 3:12Speaker 3: just out of the playoffs. And that's that's how bad
- 3:17Speaker 3: the American League is right now as a five hundred league.
- 3:22Speaker 3: The Rangers are in and the Astros are right behind
- 3:25Speaker 3: them for the wild card. Both of them are still
- 3:28Speaker 3: in play to actually win the league. So we don't know.
- 3:32Speaker 3: But anyway, out to the World Cup. Spain scores in
- 3:35Speaker 3: the ninetieth minute. We finally wrapped up seven and a
- 3:38Speaker 3: half minutes of six minutes of stoppage time. I can't
- 3:41Speaker 3: get Caleb to explain it to me either. White soccer
- 3:44Speaker 3: is the only sport in the world that doesn't know
- 3:47Speaker 3: how to stop the clock when it stopped.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I have heard one explanation, and it's that that's tradition.
- 3:53Speaker 2: And it was also tradition to end games because of darkness,
- 3:57Speaker 2: but then we got lights. So just because it's tradition
- 4:01Speaker 2: to deny how much time there is left, we have
- 4:06Speaker 2: stop watches. Now we have electronic devices that can control that,
- 4:10Speaker 2: and it's not that hard.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Theoretically, one person has one.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Of those, and that's what they just don't.
- 4:16Speaker 3: They don't share because if they need to fudge thirty
- 4:19Speaker 3: forty seconds on either side, they will. Yeah, because you
- 4:22Speaker 3: noticed time never runs out like in the middle of
- 4:25Speaker 3: a play, right, They always blow full time when it's
- 4:28Speaker 3: you know, it's it's hit something slow. So it's just
- 4:33Speaker 3: one of those things that dress me crazy. This. I
- 4:36Speaker 3: mean it was obvious because they scored right at you know,
- 4:39Speaker 3: maybe ten seconds into after ninety Spain got on the
- 4:44Speaker 3: board to win one nothing over Portugal, so you knew
- 4:47Speaker 3: it was going to go longer than the six minutes
- 4:49Speaker 3: they just posted when he scored ten seconds ago. Because yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 3: you have to have a soccer celebration and you have
- 4:56Speaker 3: to let the clock roll for a minute and a half.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Why you celebrate the goal, you just and review it.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't make sure nobody's off side stopping the
- 5:04Speaker 2: game to not do the celebrations and everything. Just stop
- 5:07Speaker 2: the clock.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Just stop the clock. Yeah, there's there's a start button
- 5:11Speaker 3: and stop button and you can just stop it. But
- 5:14Speaker 3: that's neither here nor there. I'm enjoying the soccer anyway.
- 5:17Speaker 3: So Spain now will move on to face the winner
- 5:21Speaker 3: of USA and Belgium tonight, which will start at seven o'clock.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I believe that sounds right.
- 5:30Speaker 3: You know, they confuse you because they keep putting it
- 5:32Speaker 3: on TV that the coverage starts at six, but I
- 5:34Speaker 3: think that means the game starts at seven. I mean,
- 5:37Speaker 3: it's not like I don't have it right here in
- 5:39Speaker 3: front of me, but let's just go with that. It
- 5:43Speaker 3: is seven, Yeah, it is seven. I'm about to say
- 5:45Speaker 3: it's on this paper, but you know it's kind of
- 5:49Speaker 3: it's kind of little print. So I've watched a ton
- 5:55Speaker 3: and yesterday because a three day weekend. You know what
- 5:59Speaker 3: that means, right, That means I spent two days working
- 6:03Speaker 3: outside on the honeydew list. So by Sunday I was
- 6:06Speaker 3: exhausted because it was kind of hot this weekend and
- 6:09Speaker 3: I was outside almost all a Friday and Saturday getting
- 6:14Speaker 3: getting things organized in the yard, doing some tree trimming.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I had had work to do. So I did catch
- 6:20Speaker 3: both of the games yesterday, and I've caught I've caught
- 6:24Speaker 3: at least a piece of most of the games across
- 6:26Speaker 3: this Cup, and I've enjoyed the heck out of it.
- 6:29Speaker 3: But last night's game Mexico and England was one of
- 6:34Speaker 3: the best games I have watched for no rooting interest
- 6:37Speaker 3: in either team, just enjoying the drama of it all.
- 6:42Speaker 3: And I got to tell you the home field advantage.
- 6:44Speaker 3: To me, what's what's the biggest home field advantage in
- 6:48Speaker 3: Major League Baseball? Do you know.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I would say Wrigleyfield or not Wrigly U Fenway.
- 6:54Speaker 3: It's not actually okay, it's actually Colorado.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I thought you were talking about like fans. No, no,
- 7:00Speaker 2: but just yea.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Home the thin air and what happens when they play
- 7:05Speaker 3: in Mexico City. That field is a half mile higher
- 7:09Speaker 3: than Denver.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's pretty insane. People forget about that.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Seven thousand feet. It's our seventy two hundred whatever it is,
- 7:17Speaker 3: it doesn't matter. It's it's it's over seven thousand. It's
- 7:22Speaker 3: up there. And you talk about a home field advantage
- 7:25Speaker 3: of these teams that are coming in not training at
- 7:27Speaker 3: elevation against this Mexico team who's staying there and was
- 7:33Speaker 3: there for the last two weeks.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Right, two thousand, three hundred and fifty feet higher than Denver.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Hundred and fifty is the official number for Mexico City.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Okay, So yeah, I mean it's it is. And I
- 7:46Speaker 3: looked up because I was thinking, is there even a
- 7:50Speaker 3: US city that's of any size whatsoever that's that high
- 7:55Speaker 3: and the biggest city in the US over seven thousand feet.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I believe was Santa Fe. You can check me on that,
- 8:04Speaker 3: but I think I think that that is correct. Yeah right, so,
- 8:09Speaker 3: and I've been there. That's not a really big city.
- 8:11Speaker 3: I've been to Mexico City. Mexico City is a huge city.
- 8:14Speaker 3: It is a sprawling, huge city. But spectacular home field
- 8:20Speaker 3: advantage they gave Mexico. They gave England all they wanted.
- 8:24Speaker 3: It looked like England was gonna put it away early.
- 8:27Speaker 3: They went up in a heartbeat. I think they scored
- 8:32Speaker 3: twice within Let's let's see what the official time was.
- 8:36Speaker 3: They scored it the thirty six and thirty eight minutes,
- 8:38Speaker 3: so it was two minutes two golden say it too,
- 8:42Speaker 3: yeap in two minutes and it looked bad for Mexico,
- 8:47Speaker 3: who answered fairly quickly four minutes later, two to one.
- 8:52Speaker 3: A really fun ball game to watch. Then England gets
- 8:59Speaker 3: the well deserved a red card at the fifty fourth
- 9:04Speaker 3: minute and has to play a man down the rest
- 9:06Speaker 3: of the game, and somehow, without trying to Rusty will
- 9:12Speaker 3: be here a little later. But that's okay, we'll talk
- 9:16Speaker 3: some soccer. I'll save my ranger stuff till Rusty gets
- 9:18Speaker 3: here and we'll talk baseball trade days because you know,
- 9:22Speaker 3: trading deadline's coming. It's getting to be mid season. Tap
- 9:26Speaker 3: people are going to start moving on teams. So somehow
- 9:30Speaker 3: without actually trying to score, because England was basically just
- 9:34Speaker 3: going to sit back and play defense for what amounted
- 9:38Speaker 3: to be forty minutes. It was a long time, and
- 9:44Speaker 3: they traded some penalty kicks. Henry Canton made one, Mexico
- 9:50Speaker 3: made one to make it three to two late and
- 9:54Speaker 3: just the most fun game Norway. Is there a guy
- 10:00Speaker 3: who looks more like he belongs on the Norway team
- 10:03Speaker 3: than Erlin Carlin?
- 10:05Speaker 2: I mean, definitely, he looks like a guy.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Yeah, he looks like a guy's rowing a Viking boat.
- 10:10Speaker 3: And he scored twice. That was a fun game. Brazil
- 10:14Speaker 3: scores with one minute left in stoppage time on a
- 10:17Speaker 3: penalty kick to make it to one and look a
- 10:20Speaker 3: little closer than it was. But it was really a
- 10:22Speaker 3: pretty thorough beat down. But USA tonight they will take
- 10:26Speaker 3: on the another. They would take on Belgium because the
- 10:29Speaker 3: nether one's already gone. Neighbors I was close anyway. Belgium
- 10:36Speaker 3: filed a request to reject the FIFA suspension of Baligan's
- 10:44Speaker 3: red card, and FIFA replied with We're not listening to
- 10:50Speaker 3: that nonsense. Actually, what they said was their request was inadmissible.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I thought I saw they were going to considerate, and
- 11:01Speaker 2: they changed their mind.
- 11:03Speaker 3: They considered it and said it admissible. Okay, okay, So
- 11:06Speaker 3: they have ruled. I believe I've heard that Belgium will
- 11:11Speaker 3: again contest if Baligan is in the lineup for the
- 11:16Speaker 3: US tonight. But FIFA is already ruled and said nope, inadmissible.
- 11:22Speaker 3: So the appeal committee is rendered a request submitted by
- 11:27Speaker 3: the Royal Belgian Football Association as inadmissible in relation to
- 11:31Speaker 3: the FIFA Disciplinary Committee's decision to suspend for one year
- 11:35Speaker 3: the match suspension imposed on the United States National team
- 11:38Speaker 3: player Florian Balligan, they said in a statement on Monday.
- 11:43Speaker 3: So there you go. There's no appeal, but they can
- 11:47Speaker 3: just do it on their own. I guess if the
- 11:49Speaker 3: president calls, maybe allegedly, you know, And here's the thing,
- 11:56Speaker 3: you know, if you go on ESPN today, you're going
- 11:58Speaker 3: to get a bunch of cell phones articles about what
- 12:01Speaker 3: a bad look it is and how bad it is
- 12:03Speaker 3: for the game that they gave baligan the go ahead
- 12:07Speaker 3: to play, and is it a bad look for the
- 12:12Speaker 3: game maybe, because why doesn't the game have a normal
- 12:16Speaker 3: appeals process when they didn't follow their own rules in
- 12:20Speaker 3: assessing the yellow the red card to begin with, Because
- 12:24Speaker 3: they do what they want to do, because that's how
- 12:27Speaker 3: FIFA works, and which is what Belgium's throwing a fit about.
- 12:31Speaker 3: There's no transparency, there's no They didn't say why they
- 12:35Speaker 3: pulled the they suspended the red card. They just said, I.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Guess we felt like it, we wanted to, we.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Did, so I get it. But that's how FIFA works.
- 12:47Speaker 3: They don't really have a process, right they they have
- 12:52Speaker 3: a committee that can go back and suspend anything. Uh
- 12:57Speaker 3: And would it be better for me if FIFA had
- 13:01Speaker 3: taken care of it allowed him to go ahead and
- 13:05Speaker 3: play the game on this on this one year of
- 13:08Speaker 3: double secret probation in which she'll you know, can't get
- 13:13Speaker 3: in trouble again or we're not really defined clearly exactly
- 13:16Speaker 3: what that trouble would be to kill the suspension and
- 13:23Speaker 3: then no one had said anything, but that's not what happened.
- 13:27Speaker 3: So now there's a lot of well, President shouldn't have
- 13:30Speaker 3: called and they're favoring the US. Well yeah, maybe maybe
- 13:35Speaker 3: maybe they also favored Rinaldo. Right, he got a three
- 13:38Speaker 3: game suspension for elbow, and a guy in the throat
- 13:42Speaker 3: FIFA stepped in and said he that's a one game
- 13:45Speaker 3: suspension and you'll serve it during this friendly before the
- 13:48Speaker 3: World Cup starts because we need you there. So that's
- 13:51Speaker 3: how FIFA works. And it's not just for the United States.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Now, we just happened to benefit this time.
- 13:58Speaker 5: We just.
- 14:01Speaker 3: If you win the game, you benefited. If you don't
- 14:03Speaker 3: win the game, you didn't benefit. Right, That's that's how
- 14:06Speaker 3: it all works out too. But the winner tonight will
- 14:09Speaker 3: take on Spain on the tenth.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Which is what next Friday, This Friday.
- 14:15Speaker 3: This Friday, So this Friday Spain and the winner of
- 14:19Speaker 3: US and Belgium tonight, and I will be watching, just
- 14:24Speaker 3: like I've watched the games I didn't care about, I'll
- 14:26Speaker 3: watch this. And this US team is really fun to watch.
- 14:30Speaker 3: They gotta they have guys that are quick, and it
- 14:34Speaker 3: seems to me from watching this as a non educated
- 14:38Speaker 3: soccer fan, the teams that are that are quicker in
- 14:43Speaker 3: the on the front end are the teams that are
- 14:46Speaker 3: getting the goals off because all these teams are wanting
- 14:48Speaker 3: to back up four, five, eight, ten guys. You know,
- 14:54Speaker 3: just play defense, play defense, play defense, keep it zero zero,
- 14:58Speaker 3: well when you can win one on one because you're
- 15:00Speaker 3: faster than the guy across from you, and that's what
- 15:03Speaker 3: this US team has. Now we'll see if they can
- 15:05Speaker 3: keep Belgium out of the goal they managed to put
- 15:08Speaker 3: up a zero last time they in their first game,
- 15:12Speaker 3: and if they win a night, they'll reach the quarterfinals
- 15:14Speaker 3: for the first time since two thousand and two. Two
- 15:21Speaker 3: thousand and two, you can confirm me on that, because
- 15:27Speaker 3: again I'm not the soccer expert, but two thousand and
- 15:30Speaker 3: two is what sits in my head.
- 15:33Speaker 2: That's correct. Okay, June two thousand and two against Germany,
- 15:38Speaker 2: they lost one to zero.
- 15:40Speaker 3: So that was the last time they made the quarterfinals.
- 15:42Speaker 3: And you know, look, you're down to there were teams
- 15:46Speaker 3: in this tournament that probably didn't belong because they expanded
- 15:50Speaker 3: the tournament by sixteen teams. But now you're down to
- 15:55Speaker 3: all teams that can play. And when you get down
- 15:58Speaker 3: to this final eight, any of the eight can win. Now.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Is France going to be a favorite? Yeah? I would
- 16:07Speaker 3: think so. Speaking of speaking of France. All right, I'm
- 16:11Speaker 3: just gonna quickly on the France Paraguay game because France
- 16:14Speaker 3: was clearly the better team, but they put an official
- 16:18Speaker 3: in there that had no business officiating. It would be
- 16:20Speaker 3: like me officiating the game. Okay, he knows more about
- 16:23Speaker 3: it than I do, but that's not the point. He
- 16:26Speaker 3: was scared. He officiated the game scared, and he got
- 16:29Speaker 3: bullied by Paraguay who just made a complete mockery of
- 16:32Speaker 3: the game. They were going up picking fights and then
- 16:35Speaker 3: flopping to the ground trying to get a yellow card.
- 16:37Speaker 3: They got one that way. Guy went up started it,
- 16:42Speaker 3: did not get a swing from the guy from France,
- 16:44Speaker 3: but flopped on the ground to you know, pull a
- 16:46Speaker 3: yellow card like you know, he did that against the US,
- 16:50Speaker 3: and they the review went back and gave the Paraguay guy.
- 16:54Speaker 3: But Paraguay the entire game knew that they could take
- 16:58Speaker 3: cheap shots the whole game because the guy was scared
- 17:03Speaker 3: to give him a card. He didn't want to officiate
- 17:05Speaker 3: the game, just play on or you know, maybe a file,
- 17:08Speaker 3: maybe a free kick, as long as it wasn't in
- 17:09Speaker 3: the penalty area. He just wanted to be invisible and
- 17:13Speaker 3: not not officiate. The game and not control it, and
- 17:17Speaker 3: it was one of the worst. As good as Mexico
- 17:21Speaker 3: and England was, France and Paraguay was one of the worst.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I watched because I was just watching that the entire time,
- 17:28Speaker 3: and honestly, because of it, I'm rooting against Paraguay. I
- 17:31Speaker 3: have no care either way whether France wins, but I'm
- 17:36Speaker 3: rooting against Paraguay because they were taking cheap shots and
- 17:39Speaker 3: then flopping over and over again, and I just wanted
- 17:43Speaker 3: to lose and get out of the tournament and good
- 17:44Speaker 3: riddance to him. And that's that's how I felt when
- 17:47Speaker 3: it was over. I mean, is France still a favorite
- 17:51Speaker 3: to win this game, to win this tournament? I would
- 17:53Speaker 3: think so.
- 17:54Speaker 2: If they were the I think they might still be
- 17:57Speaker 2: the betting favorite.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I would I would guess. I mean, they're they're certain.
- 18:02Speaker 3: They certainly look the part. And Spain, who we just
- 18:06Speaker 3: saw against Portugal was near the top and they don't
- 18:10Speaker 3: look the part. I mean, England they look the part.
- 18:16Speaker 3: The US has looked good when they've played and we'll see.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I think this is by far the best team that
- 18:23Speaker 3: they're going to play tonight, and we'll see if they're
- 18:26Speaker 3: up for that challenge. My guess is playing in Seattle
- 18:30Speaker 3: that they will be. But at some point you just
- 18:32Speaker 3: got to be better than the guy across from you
- 18:34Speaker 3: at home field. Advantage only gets you so far, No,
- 18:38Speaker 3: unless you play seven thousand feet higher. Can you imagine?
- 18:41Speaker 3: So England played it seven or seventy two hundred feet
- 18:46Speaker 3: last night, and now they go to Miami and are
- 18:48Speaker 3: going to go play at sea level in the humidity.
- 18:52Speaker 3: You talk about a difference of a couple of couple
- 18:54Speaker 3: of days in a couple of couple of matches. But
- 18:58Speaker 3: all right, I'm probably running behind now. Yes, it is

- 21:30Speaker 13: and they know something's wrong. So if you hear that
- 21:32Speaker 13: sweak and don't think that anything's wrong. Here in some
- 21:35Speaker 13: kind of strange noise. It's Brady and Apple full objecting

- 21:40Speaker 13: But back to the trade last night and say hold on.
- 21:43Speaker 8: Same, hey, hey, unsportsmanlike listen in weekday mornings from fine
- 21:49Speaker 8: to eight on the Zone eleven fifty AM and ninety
- 21:51Speaker 8: three point seven FM.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Chip Howard Sports Talk Bus Chip, Dusty and Caleb Bin
- 22:24Speaker 3: and Rusty will join us at about four forty five. Now,
- 22:27Speaker 3: so we'll save our we'll save our Rangers discussion for
- 22:32Speaker 3: a little bit and we'll just talk Astros right now.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Who won six of their last seven series dating back
- 22:41Speaker 3: to June twelfth through the fourteenth at Kansas City. That's
- 22:45Speaker 3: pretty good run. Now, what does that mean? That means
- 22:50Speaker 3: the Astros are It's amazing. You check the standings about
- 22:56Speaker 3: once a week and they're they're always the same pretty much.
- 23:00Speaker 3: They're not moving much over here in the Al West.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Seattle's sitting three games above five hundred. Rangers are game
- 23:09Speaker 3: and a half back at five hundred Astros, two and
- 23:15Speaker 3: a half back two games under five hundred Astros, one
- 23:19Speaker 3: game back of the wild card, the final wild card spot,
- 23:23Speaker 3: which the Rangers currently sit in. So home runs last
- 23:28Speaker 3: night for Walker and Parentis and a two to zero
- 23:36Speaker 3: win in a combined shutout of the Rays that gave
- 23:40Speaker 3: the Astros the win for the series. They will take
- 23:43Speaker 3: on the Nationals tonight. And you know the thing, the
- 23:48Speaker 3: difference between the AL and the NL is the Washington
- 23:54Speaker 3: Nationals in the AL East are sitting at one game
- 23:59Speaker 3: over five hundred, so they're forty six and forty five
- 24:03Speaker 3: on the season. They're seven and a half back there
- 24:10Speaker 3: of the of the league, behind the Braves. They're behind
- 24:15Speaker 3: in the wild card chase, and they're they appear to
- 24:18Speaker 3: be one of the sellers going into the trade deadline.
- 24:25Speaker 3: They may be unloading some players. You might be able
- 24:28Speaker 3: to pick up some Nationals as you're going forward off
- 24:31Speaker 3: a team that's over five hundred, where the Astros are
- 24:37Speaker 3: look like. And to be fair, the Astros were eleven
- 24:40Speaker 3: games below, so they've made up some ground during this
- 24:43Speaker 3: stretch they were down. They were eleven games below five hundred,
- 24:48Speaker 3: up to two games under, and if they can keep
- 24:51Speaker 3: chipping away, winning series five hundred, may very well win
- 24:57Speaker 3: the AL West.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Which is why to say I don't know, I mean,
- 25:01Speaker 2: has that ever happened.
- 25:03Speaker 3: In the MLB for a five hundred team to win.
- 25:05Speaker 2: It, Yeah, Generally you're least eighty five wins to win
- 25:09Speaker 2: a division.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and it may turn out to be that way.
- 25:12Speaker 3: It may turn out that eighty five is the number.
- 25:15Speaker 3: But the Astros have made up some ground during this stretch,
- 25:20Speaker 3: just went in two out of three, win in two
- 25:22Speaker 3: out of three, win in two out of three. They
- 25:24Speaker 3: dropped a series prior to this series against the Rays
- 25:31Speaker 3: two out of three. But they're not getting swept. They're
- 25:35Speaker 3: not sweeping. They're just kind of slowly creeping towards that
- 25:38Speaker 3: five hundred mark.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Losing that series to the Twins really could come back
- 25:43Speaker 2: to bite them because they're right there in the standings
- 25:45Speaker 2: with them, they end up tied for that last wild
- 25:47Speaker 2: card spot, that would that would not be a good
- 25:50Speaker 2: way to end the season.
- 25:51Speaker 3: The Rangers, on the other hand, are they're kind of
- 25:54Speaker 3: taking bigger jumps. They'll go up over five hundred. Weren't
- 26:00Speaker 3: they were three games up what maybe a week five
- 26:05Speaker 3: days ago.
- 26:07Speaker 2: June thirtieth, they were leading the division, two games ahead
- 26:09Speaker 2: of the Astros, half game ahead of the Mariners.
- 26:12Speaker 3: So right, what did I say five six days ago?
- 26:15Speaker 3: I'm close and then they'll fall right back. And I
- 26:19Speaker 3: think it's going to continue like that. And we'll have
- 26:24Speaker 3: to ask Rusty when he gets here if if they're
- 26:27Speaker 3: going to go, if they're going to go buying players,
- 26:32Speaker 3: if they have anything to trade moving into the deadline,
- 26:36Speaker 3: where do they go? What makes the difference? What keeps
- 26:40Speaker 3: that team to be the team that finishes two three
- 26:44Speaker 3: games over five hundred when the season ends and get
- 26:48Speaker 3: yourselves into the playoffs and then see if you can
- 26:50Speaker 3: make a run.
- 26:52Speaker 2: So the Rangers and Astros needs are definitely opposite, because
- 26:56Speaker 2: the Astros need hitting and the Rangers need pitching quite
- 27:00Speaker 2: a bit now what it looked like.
- 27:01Speaker 3: At the beginning of the season at all, And there
- 27:03Speaker 3: may be more pitching available at the trade deadline then
- 27:07Speaker 3: there will be bats.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's probably true. I feel like that's usually how
- 27:10Speaker 2: it is. There's a lot of there's always bullpen arms
- 27:13Speaker 2: out there, just because of how volatile the bullpen is,
- 27:17Speaker 2: but high level starters are I mean Errek School's gonna
- 27:21Speaker 2: be up there about the Tigers make a big comeback.
- 27:24Speaker 3: I was about to say schoobl is going to be available,
- 27:27Speaker 3: and then my seems to be the number two player
- 27:32Speaker 3: available at the trade deadline, also for the Tigers. So
- 27:36Speaker 3: Tigers appear to be selling and that seems to be
- 27:39Speaker 3: the big player, right, So it'll be it'll be an
- 27:44Speaker 3: interesting run to see where things shake out and position
- 27:51Speaker 3: player wise, there always seem to be outfielders available, right.
- 27:57Speaker 3: There always seem to be outfielders available, and sometimes you
- 28:01Speaker 3: can find a DH type, a first basement, a third
- 28:06Speaker 3: baseman type, but you don't find a ton of middle
- 28:10Speaker 3: infielders available. It's just how it works at the trade deadline.
- 28:16Speaker 3: So we'll see. I don't know where the Astros can
- 28:20Speaker 3: pick up to make the most run.
- 28:24Speaker 2: I would say outfield, and there are some available. Yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 2: There was some rumors about the Astros looking at Mickey
- 28:33Speaker 2: Mooniac and Jake McCarthy on the Rockies. I think they're
- 28:38Speaker 2: both left handed, which is exactly what we're looking for.
- 28:42Speaker 2: You know, ideally we get somebody that can play center
- 28:44Speaker 2: so that Bryce Matthews doesn't have to run out there
- 28:46Speaker 2: every day because he has not been great hitting defensively.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Outfield has been pretty good though.
- 28:52Speaker 3: But you major league roster has to get hitting production
- 28:59Speaker 3: from the outfield. Yeah, in the corners.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I thought that earlier the Astros outfielders as a position
- 29:06Speaker 2: group are the twenty seventh worst group of outfielders in
- 29:09Speaker 2: the league, hitting one for twenty seventh. Yeah, so fourth
- 29:12Speaker 2: worst to the bottom of the barrel.
- 29:16Speaker 3: And I saw I saw some power rankings come out
- 29:20Speaker 3: this week from CBS, which I think I have somewhere
- 29:22Speaker 3: in this giganto pile of papers in front of me.
- 29:27Speaker 3: And the Astros came in at seventeen, so that feels
- 29:35Speaker 3: about right, all right, yeah, as many as eleven games
- 29:40Speaker 3: under now there are only one game out of a
- 29:41Speaker 3: playoff position. That's all they say about them, you know,
- 29:45Speaker 3: But that's close right middle, I guess fifteenth is the
- 29:50Speaker 3: middle of the league. Sixteen, Yeah, and the Astros are
- 29:55Speaker 3: just right there. That feels about right to what the
- 30:01Speaker 3: Astros are doing right now. But they're playing in a
- 30:03Speaker 3: division where the Rangers are ranked fifteenth in this power ranking,
- 30:12Speaker 3: which feels about right there. Here's what they say about
- 30:17Speaker 3: the Rangers. They haven't been more than three games over
- 30:20Speaker 3: five hundred or more than six games below all year.
- 30:24Speaker 3: They're the definition of average it' and they stuck them
- 30:30Speaker 3: right at fifteen. And then the Mariners, who are leading
- 30:34Speaker 3: the league are not running away this power ranking has
- 30:38Speaker 3: them at eleven. It's a few spots up, but that
- 30:43Speaker 3: feels about right for the AL West. And we've talked
- 30:49Speaker 3: about it before. When it comes down to baseball and
- 30:51Speaker 3: you make the playoffs, it's all about how you play
- 30:53Speaker 3: in a series. Can you win one series to move forward?
- 30:58Speaker 3: And you know, if they had to, if they if
- 31:07Speaker 3: they had to catch some teams in the first round
- 31:09Speaker 3: of the playoffs, you know that might be a little
- 31:14Speaker 3: bit more difficult. But who's running away with the AL?
- 31:18Speaker 2: The race, which is also really weird to say, I
- 31:24Speaker 2: think it was. Yeah, last year the Race didn't even
- 31:26Speaker 2: make the playoffs. They were five games under five hundred,
- 31:30Speaker 2: and then the Asika to be in the race.
- 31:32Speaker 3: And the Astros just took a series from them. So
- 31:35Speaker 3: even if you take the the top team in in
- 31:38Speaker 3: the a L in terms of record, you just took
- 31:41Speaker 3: a series from them. If you can get a seat
- 31:43Speaker 3: at the table, you have a chance to advance in
- 31:48Speaker 3: this AL this year. I mean, clearly the power is
- 31:51Speaker 3: in the in the NL.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Yeah, this is definitely a historically imbalanced Major, which a
- 31:59Speaker 2: L is never this bad.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's happened over time, and I will say it's happened
- 32:04Speaker 3: in both directions. The AL has been significantly better than
- 32:07Speaker 3: the NL over time, yeah, over years, but right now.
- 32:13Speaker 2: I don't know if it's ever been this big of
- 32:15Speaker 2: a difference.
- 32:16Speaker 3: The Braves and Dodgers are they're they're so far out
- 32:21Speaker 3: in front of anybody in the AL right now, and
- 32:24Speaker 3: the Brewers and the Brewers, all right, so that's three teams.
- 32:28Speaker 3: They're way ahead of everyone in the AL division. So
- 32:34Speaker 3: and that's that's just what it looks like. And you
- 32:37Speaker 3: don't have to beat those teams. They have to beat
- 32:39Speaker 3: each other. Yeah, So that's the kind of run we're
- 32:44Speaker 3: looking at all right, I believe it is time for
- 32:47Speaker 3: us to get away for a break. You're listening to

- 39:48Speaker 5: Now they really Need.
- 39:49Speaker 19: LANGFORD i mean they need to get him. Back they're
- 39:51Speaker 19: not gonna get him back to after The All star.
- 39:53Speaker 19: Breaking i've already given up on ever Getting seeger. Back
- 39:56Speaker 19: that guy is just like he's made of. Glass AND
- 40:00Speaker 19: i JUST i don't think.
- 40:01Speaker 3: There's There's Rusty's he's done on the. Raid he's not
- 40:04Speaker 3: done on.
- 40:05Speaker 19: THEM i MEAN i think that THEY i think actually
- 40:07Speaker 19: they play better a lot of times without, HIM i
- 40:09Speaker 19: just don't you can't count on him to Be i'd
- 40:13Speaker 19: be talking about trade. Deadline if they could get him,
- 40:16Speaker 19: Healthy i'd be more than willing to trade him for you,
- 40:19Speaker 19: know a young couple of prospects or something like, that
- 40:23Speaker 19: BECAUSE i still think they could be, buyers AND i
- 40:26Speaker 19: still think that they, can you, know have a shot
- 40:28Speaker 19: at the at The west Without. SEEGER i think more
- 40:31Speaker 19: important Than seeger is Get langford. Back more important Than
- 40:35Speaker 19: siegers to Get lighter. Back more important Than seeger is
- 40:39Speaker 19: to Get Cody bradford. Back, Yeah lighter has been on the.
- 40:43Speaker 19: Aisl he had that little minor foot, surgery.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Right and so he's do we know where his progress.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Right after The All star? Break he should.
- 40:50Speaker 19: Be they should Get Cody bradford back fairly soon after,
- 40:52Speaker 19: that and Then Jordan montgomery would be another arm if
- 40:57Speaker 19: they could get and. Alp BUT i, mean quite frankly that.
- 41:03Speaker 19: Position you, know they lost a game against The tigers
- 41:07Speaker 19: when Cal Quan trail. Pitched they pitched pretty, well but
- 41:11Speaker 19: it's Cal Korn trail and he actually he won a
- 41:15Speaker 19: game in That Blue jay series Against dylan C so
- 41:18Speaker 19: kudos to him for already getting, me you, know one
- 41:20Speaker 19: more win THAN i. Thought it was a terrible pitching,
- 41:23Speaker 19: matchup But rangers won, it and so they just need
- 41:27Speaker 19: to get lighter.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Back and, Yeah i'm willing to try anything With.
- 41:32Speaker 19: STEGER i just don't think halfway through this ten year
- 41:35Speaker 19: deal that he's going to get a lot.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Better so our thought, was The astros really need an,
- 41:41Speaker 3: outfielder need to add a bat to their. Lineup doesn't
- 41:44Speaker 3: necessarily have to be an, outfielder but that would be
- 41:46Speaker 3: the spot right, Right and The rangers need. Pitching but
- 41:49Speaker 3: you're thinking that The rangers need an outfielder.
- 41:51Speaker 5: Too, No i'm definitely thinking they need an.
- 41:52Speaker 19: Outfielder i'd like to see, him you, know go after
- 41:55Speaker 19: That Luis robert out with The, mets who came up
- 41:59Speaker 19: with A White.
- 41:59Speaker 5: Sox you. KNOW i, mean when he's, healthy he's gonna
- 42:03Speaker 5: be really.
- 42:03Speaker 19: Good as recently as twenty twenty, three he hit thirty eight.
- 42:06Speaker 19: Homers AND i don't think The rangers need to go
- 42:09Speaker 19: after pitching because quite, frankly they're gonna get so much
- 42:12Speaker 19: back right after the break because, Again Cody bradford was
- 42:18Speaker 19: so good when he was. Healthy he just hadn't been,
- 42:20Speaker 19: pitching and you Know Tommy john and so What Jordan
- 42:24Speaker 19: montgomery did.
- 42:25Speaker 5: In twenty twenty three with The rangers was.
- 42:27Speaker 19: Incredible you, know he was the pickup that they, got
- 42:31Speaker 19: the most valuable trade piece they got in twenty twenty
- 42:33Speaker 19: three when they got The, cardinals and then he ended
- 42:36Speaker 19: up just really being outstanding in the.
- 42:39Speaker 5: Postseason so he wasn't good With.
- 42:41Speaker 19: Arizona but the hope is getting back In texas and
- 42:45Speaker 19: around people that he really enjoyed pitching. With and SO
- 42:50Speaker 19: i think that the pitching is.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Coming so according TO Cbs, sports your your top two
- 42:56Speaker 3: guys that are going to be available at the trade. Deadline, School,
- 43:02Speaker 3: YEAH i don't they are not gonna have but but
- 43:04Speaker 3: neither The astros nor The rangers.
- 43:06Speaker 19: Have a farm system to get that right in no,
- 43:08Speaker 19: way nor do they have the funds after this year
- 43:11Speaker 19: to pay for.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Him Casey mies he was really.
- 43:14Speaker 19: Good against The, rangers And i'm quite frankly he shut
- 43:17Speaker 19: out The yankees the last.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Outing so you.
- 43:20Speaker 19: Gave two runs against The rangers yesterday and they blanked The,
- 43:25Speaker 19: yankees WHICH i, mean those those guys are so beat, up, right.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Makes you makes you, think all, Right So detroit's got
- 43:32Speaker 3: those two, guys and they got Three All. Stars AND.
- 43:39Speaker 19: I texted my family that last. NIGHT i was, like
- 43:42Speaker 19: how The tiger's so? Bad they got three really good
- 43:45Speaker 19: Young All star. Players Riley green who had a career
- 43:48Speaker 19: day yesterday AND i mean his outstanding and so, yeah
- 43:53Speaker 19: how how they came in To arley and like twelve
- 43:57Speaker 19: under and you know they leave ten?
- 43:59Speaker 5: Unders so the sellers.
- 44:00Speaker 3: By and as we've, discussed who can The rangers not
- 44:05Speaker 3: win series against the bad?
- 44:07Speaker 5: Teams the teams with the bad.
- 44:09Speaker 3: The team the teams that are ten game twelve games,
- 44:11Speaker 3: under which is Why i'm.
- 44:13Speaker 19: Very fearful against The. Angels you, know it's like here
- 44:16Speaker 19: they come and like in, paper you're thinking The rangers
- 44:19Speaker 19: should do, well but now they play well against teams
- 44:21Speaker 19: that over five.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Hundred according TO Cbs, sports the top position player that's
- 44:25Speaker 3: going to be available at the deadline is going to
- 44:27Speaker 3: Be Taylor ward of The. Orioles, huh, WELL i don't.
- 44:32Speaker 3: KNOW i mean not having a great, year but has some,
- 44:36Speaker 3: history has some he has hit for, average but his powers.
- 44:41Speaker 19: Down what's the outfielder for The Red sox that has
- 44:45Speaker 19: been mentioned floated around Where Jaron, Duran, Yeah, DURAM i
- 44:50Speaker 19: wouldn't mind taking a chance on. HIM i, MEAN i
- 44:52Speaker 19: don't think the price is going to be very, much
- 44:55Speaker 19: AND i think he desperately needs a new change of
- 44:59Speaker 19: scenery that might do him wonders whether that be In
- 45:03Speaker 19: arlington Or. HOUSTON i think that would be a great
- 45:06Speaker 19: pickup for either one of those.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Teams they SAY C. J abrams for The, Nationals uh
- 45:12Speaker 3: shortstops going to be. Available they're gonna be trying to
- 45:15Speaker 3: make him, Available that's WHAT Cbs sports. Says they're going
- 45:18Speaker 3: to be shopping him around in the.
- 45:20Speaker 5: Trade their best player by. FAR i, mean that's JUST
- 45:25Speaker 5: i don't. Know that seems. Weird their price is going
- 45:28Speaker 5: to be. High, yeah and they're they're in the.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Hunt they're not in the.
- 45:31Speaker 5: Hunt, well they were in the hunt Of. WIKIGO i
- 45:36Speaker 5: mean it changes so.
- 45:37Speaker 3: FAT i just, look they're seven and a half games
- 45:39Speaker 3: back in their division right, now they're on the outside looking,
- 45:41Speaker 3: in and they don't have to, sell right they're above five.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Hundred they're not a bad. Team but as we discussed THE, nl.
- 45:50Speaker 5: They're a wildcard. Team. Run, no they're.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Not, No, no they're.
- 45:53Speaker 5: Out they're. Out, Okay, yeah, yeah but they're three games
- 45:56Speaker 5: back in the.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Wildcard but THE nl is so low at the top right,
- 46:01Speaker 3: now it's it's. Crazy and SO cbs has The Washington
- 46:07Speaker 3: nationals on the sellers list And abrams at the top of.
- 46:09Speaker 19: Them do they Have miami on the selling list Because
- 46:11Speaker 19: miami's they're they're playoff team right?
- 46:15Speaker 5: Now they do. Not that's a good young team that they.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Do they Have fairbanks and Out.
- 46:26Speaker 19: Alcata, yeah, YEAH i just they can't keep people in
- 46:31Speaker 19: there because they only get like fourteen people to come to.
- 46:33Speaker 5: GAMES i, mean it's just it's. Sad they got a
- 46:36Speaker 5: group with a good young.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Team fairbanks And alcantara will both be free agents after the,
- 46:42Speaker 2: year assuming they don't pick up Al kantara's twenty one
- 46:45Speaker 2: million dollar.
- 46:46Speaker 19: Option, well you, Know fairbanks was A ranger and they
- 46:48Speaker 19: traded him for bits and, pieces so that worked out
- 46:51Speaker 19: really good for The.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Rangers so, available and then The rockies are going to be. Sellers,
- 46:58Speaker 3: Yes so do.
- 46:59Speaker 5: They have anybody on that team that is Uh.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Is moniac or Moniac mickey?
- 47:04Speaker 2: Moniac, yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 3: Moniac, Okay so that's that's one that's. Rumored The astros
- 47:09Speaker 3: might be looking At.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Jack McCarthy as.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Well so a couple of bits and pieces off The rockies,
- 47:17Speaker 3: possible possibly.
- 47:18Speaker 5: Fair banks would be a nice.
- 47:20Speaker 19: ADDITION i don't think The rangers or The astros need
- 47:24Speaker 19: a closer right, now, THOUGH i mean that's they're. Not
- 47:26Speaker 19: that would not be a great. TRADE i don't think
- 47:29Speaker 19: for you, know one of. THEM i think without doubt
- 47:31Speaker 19: THAT i think The rangers need.
- 47:32Speaker 3: Offense and so and there aren't very many offensive players
- 47:38Speaker 3: on the list FROM Cbs. Sports, uh moving ahead down
- 47:42Speaker 3: to number, sixteen you've got Swore is at The reds third. Basement,
- 47:47Speaker 3: yeah possibly available at the trade. Deadline Lars Newt bar
- 47:56Speaker 3: at The.
- 47:56Speaker 19: Cardinals The cardinals are in the playoff race though they're
- 48:00Speaker 19: they're legitimately they're forty, seven.
- 48:03Speaker 5: AND i don't see how They.
- 48:05Speaker 3: I'm just telling you they're they're on the cell list
- 48:08Speaker 3: With Dusty may and, hmmm so we'll see what they
- 48:13Speaker 3: see where they. Go, yeah and that's that just might
- 48:16Speaker 3: be the difference of what playoffs run you're looking. At
- 48:20Speaker 3: were we were just talking about it right before you got.
- 48:22Speaker 3: Here who's the who's the best record in the end
- 48:25Speaker 3: in the al right?
- 48:26Speaker 19: Now The Detroit, tigers well as of, recently like the last, month,
- 48:33Speaker 19: right something like.
- 48:35Speaker 5: That BUT i mean there are that means. Nothing there's
- 48:39Speaker 5: still ten games under, Right.
- 48:41Speaker 3: No i'm, sorry not The Detroit, tigers The Tampa Tampa Bay. Rays,
- 48:45Speaker 3: YEAH i had the wrong. Side The astros just beat
- 48:49Speaker 3: anyone who can get in the, playoffs can beat anyone
- 48:51Speaker 3: in the, Absolutely but that's that's.
- 48:55Speaker 5: The nature of.
- 48:55Speaker 19: Baseball we talked about that last week About. OKLAHOMA i,
- 48:58Speaker 19: mean and they want. It they won it all and
- 49:01Speaker 19: they had a losing record in sec.
- 49:04Speaker 5: Pluy so that's just the nature of the. Game and
- 49:09Speaker 5: LIKE i said all the, TIME i don't.
- 49:10Speaker 3: See someone coming from sixth place in the in THE
- 49:15Speaker 3: nl to go represent THE nl in The World. Series
- 49:19Speaker 3: you never. KNOW i could see the last wildcard team
- 49:21Speaker 3: from THE al getting.
- 49:22Speaker 19: In, well The Blue jays last year nearly won The World,
- 49:26Speaker 19: series AND i, mean look what the, again look what
- 49:29Speaker 19: they're doing this year, too and they're kind of like irrelevant.
- 49:31Speaker 5: And they squeaked.
- 49:32Speaker 19: In AND i go back to like twenty eleven when
- 49:36Speaker 19: The rangers and The, cardinals and The cardinals got in
- 49:38Speaker 19: the last day and they had to have so many
- 49:41Speaker 19: things happened to two teams had to. Lose The cardinals
- 49:45Speaker 19: had to win for just didn't to get the last wild,
- 49:47Speaker 19: card and they caught a hot. STREAK i mean they
- 49:50Speaker 19: got pitched the same thing with The rangers in twenty twenty.
- 49:52Speaker 3: Three, Uh i'm getting the. Finger that were late for
- 49:56Speaker 3: The astros, Reports so we'll be back right after. That
- 49:58Speaker 3: Chip Howard.

- 53:22Speaker 3: Tomorrow big, Twelve, Right big, Twelve, well it should be.
- 53:26Speaker 3: INTERESTING i mean there's a little controversy around a certain
- 53:28Speaker 3: team over Into big twelve and.
- 53:30Speaker 19: There, yeah not really more, THOUGH i mean all The
- 53:33Speaker 19: cashrey's kind of disappeared now that he's not going to be.
- 53:36Speaker 3: Playing now that he's not going to be, playing you
- 53:38Speaker 3: don't think anybody will be talking about that.
- 53:40Speaker 19: Going Into the'll be talking about, it but it's not
- 53:42Speaker 19: not like it's not a hot button that it.
- 53:44Speaker 5: Was, yeah several weeks ago it would have been like
- 53:47Speaker 5: all you could talk.
- 53:48Speaker 3: About so did you notice that THE sec moved their
- 53:51Speaker 3: media days back a?
- 53:52Speaker 19: Week, yeah that's probably pretty brilliant, strategy, right pretty.
- 53:56Speaker 3: Smart so the finals of The World cups the nineteenth
- 53:59Speaker 3: AND sec media days start on the. Twentieth they moved
- 54:02Speaker 3: it back a week to make sure they got every
- 54:05Speaker 3: bit of the summer.
- 54:06Speaker 19: Headlines that's pretty. Awesome, Yeah so where are the finals
- 54:10Speaker 19: of The World?
- 54:11Speaker 5: Cup?
- 54:12Speaker 3: Medlife? Medlife, okay so interesting trivia bit because we only
- 54:17Speaker 3: got about a. Minute do you know the two teams
- 54:20Speaker 3: that have won as many games in that stadium as
- 54:22Speaker 3: The jets since THE nfl season.
- 54:24Speaker 5: Started the two teams that have won as many games
- 54:29Speaker 5: as the.
- 54:30Speaker 3: In midlife since the LAST nfl season.
- 54:33Speaker 5: Started Uh, no that would Be france And.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Norway, okay they have as many wins as The jets
- 54:40Speaker 3: in their home. Stadium that's. Awesome i'll just throw that out,
- 54:44Speaker 3: there good. Trivia my son dropped that one on me
- 54:48Speaker 3: today AND i, went that sounds about.
- 54:50Speaker 19: Right, yeah, yeah Absolutely so Is france the favorite to
- 54:55Speaker 19: win it?
- 54:55Speaker 5: All?
- 54:55Speaker 19: Yeah, okay we were just what chance did The United
- 54:59Speaker 19: states have?
- 55:01Speaker 2: Decent i'm, sorry, yeah.
- 55:05Speaker 3: To win it? ALL i THINK i think that'd be
- 55:07Speaker 3: a hard. Pull but so to get through their, bracket
- 55:10Speaker 3: they're gonna have.
- 55:11Speaker 5: To beat they gotta Be belgium.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Tonight they gotta Beat belgium. Tonight there's eight teams like
- 55:17Speaker 3: which the which their favorite to?
- 55:18Speaker 2: DO usa is plus thirty one hundred to win The
- 55:21Speaker 2: World cup plus thirty one.
- 55:23Speaker 3: Hundred, okay so, yeah a, while.
- 55:25Speaker 2: That's eighth of the remaining teams and.
- 55:28Speaker 19: Out of the nine teams that are remaining or fifteen, okay, okay,
- 55:32Speaker 19: right because.
- 55:33Speaker 3: You've got four teams that haven't played there.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Yet, okay.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Then they would have to get Past, spain who is
- 55:40Speaker 3: a favorite number two or.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Three spain is number, two number two Win so.
- 55:45Speaker 3: They'd have to get they'd have to get Past spain
- 55:48Speaker 3: to win it.
- 55:49Speaker 19: All SO i was, wondering, if, if if there's any
- 55:51Speaker 19: other president in the history of any other country who
- 55:55Speaker 19: had the audacity to call up and make to get
- 55:59Speaker 19: this red card move from somebody. ELSE i can only
- 56:01Speaker 19: imagine that his his you, know he's had his own
- 56:05Speaker 19: fair share of red cards in his life and other
- 56:07Speaker 19: sporting eventis.
- 56:08Speaker 5: RIGHT i, MEAN i JUST i saw, that AND i was,
- 56:12Speaker 5: like you, KNOW i don't follow, soccer But Donald trump
- 56:15Speaker 5: makes a phone call and then all of a, sudden
