- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So I would like to make today about a little reminder of
- 0:34something. Whatever is aggravating you,
- 0:38whatever's frustrating you, whatever you are stuck with
- 0:41right now as one of your complaints or something that is
- 0:45just off in your life, that's someone else's dream would stop
- 0:50And think about that for a second.
- 0:51You know, yesterday I was on a call with a client and it came
- 0:55up that he was complaining about his tax bill and having to pay
- 1:00his tax bill coming up. And he was just he and he's had
- 1:04a very good year. And he was complaining all about
- 1:06it and kept going on and on and how it was frustrating him and
- 1:10all the bills that he had. And I just said to asked him, I
- 1:14said So what if we reframed this?
- 1:16What if we stopped and thought about the fact that somebody
- 1:18else is trying to get to your level right now?
- 1:21Someone else is working really hard to get to your position.
- 1:26Someone else out there is looking at the world and saying,
- 1:30if I only had that, if I could only get to that.
- 1:33And that is their focus. That is their dream, That's what
- 1:36they're working on. And they wouldn't consider what
- 1:40you have as a problem. They'd consider it as a
- 1:42privilege that, you know, OK, we all have to pay taxes.
- 1:45That's just part of doesn't matter where you live in the
- 1:48world. We're going to pay taxes.
- 1:50We're all going to have bills. We the cost of life is there.
- 1:54But there's a gift in having that because it pushes you to
- 1:57not be lazy. It pushes you to go out there
- 2:00and make something of yourself. It pushes you in different
- 2:03directions. So when you stop and you
- 2:05actually think about the fact that there's somebody else out
- 2:08there working on this to make that happen, and you're at that
- 2:11point and you're complaining about where you are, all of a
- 2:14sudden it's a huge wake up call. So think about that for a
- 2:17second, 'cause when I said it to him, he was like, what?
- 2:20And I said, yeah, think about it.
- 2:22There's someone out there that's really pushing themselves right
- 2:24now to get to the very spot you're complaining you're in.
- 2:28And in that moment he had an aha, he was like, oh crap, I
- 2:33mean, he used a potty word, but I won't on the podcast.
- 2:37Try to keep it clean here. And he, he had this reckoning
- 2:41with himself about the fact that he had gone from being in a
- 2:44state of appreciation on his, you know, way up to this point,
- 2:50and then all of a sudden it became a burden.
- 2:52And when did that happen? That was his first question.
- 2:55When did this happen? When did this become my reality?
- 2:58And this is what takes place in our minds.
- 3:01When we are not paying attention moment to moment, little things
- 3:05creep in and we must kill the monsters while they're small.
- 3:09When those thoughts, those negative thoughts, show up and
- 3:11they're just, you know, eating away at us, we have to kill them
- 3:15and we have to say no. Do I really need to complain
- 3:18about this or is this something that's a gift?
- 3:20People will often say to me, Isn't having the farm a burden?
- 3:24Isn't that something that's like, oh, I would never want to
- 3:26take care of all the animals. I would never want to take care
- 3:29of all the plants and the crops and all this stuff.
- 3:32And I'm always, always very cognizant of that every single
- 3:37day. For me, I'm like, no, this is a
- 3:39gift. I worked for this for a really
- 3:42long time to make this happen and continue to figure out ways
- 3:46to grow and expand it. So this is a gift.
- 3:49This is, this is not a burden. And even though it is a lot of
- 3:52work, there are so many gifts in that and what you provide for
- 3:57other people in the process. Just like this gentleman I was
- 3:59talking to, he provides for multiple families that work for
- 4:04him and all those people matter. What he does matters to all
- 4:08those people. Whether he recognizes it or not,
- 4:11it matters. So there's a part of this that
- 4:14when you start to connect those dots back again, it it lightens
- 4:18up everything in your head. But you have to be smart enough
- 4:22to actually go in there and do the work and lighten it up.
- 4:25Otherwise it just takes over. So I'm going to, you know,
- 4:29reiterate the fact that it is your dreams are, are, are, are
- 4:34still available to you. You just have to keep looking at
- 4:37them and growing them, because when you start to stagnate,
- 4:41that's an indication. You start complaining about
- 4:44things. That's when you're stagnating.
- 4:46That's when you're not working towards the growth.
- 4:48That's when you're not thinking bigger.
- 4:50You've just gotten to a point and you're like, now you're just
- 4:53in the doldrums. You're like just doing daily
- 4:56stuff and you're not thinking about the dreaming portion.
- 5:00And to be genuinely happy, you have to go in both directions.
- 5:03You have to work on both sides of this, and the more you do
- 5:06both sides of it, the happier you are.
- 5:08So there's always growth. There's always going to be
- 5:12things that goes that go wrong during the process.
- 5:15There is not one thing, and this is This is why it's so important
- 5:19for me to thread the farm into this with you guys, because
- 5:23there are things that go wrong out here all the time, lessons
- 5:26that I have to learn that number of animals.
- 5:28We lost a rabbit the other day. A coyote got a rabbit.
- 5:32I mean, there are so many things that happen that are just part
- 5:37of the process. And does it make me incredibly
- 5:40sad? Yes.
- 5:40Does it stop me from growing? Absolutely not.
- 5:43Because as long as I'm alive, I will constantly be expanding and
- 5:47growing until the moment I cannot.
- 5:50And that is just the truth of what makes you happy.
- 5:53So remember, your complaints are somebody else's dreams.
- 5:57So stop complaining. Get back into gratitude, expand
- 6:01yourself and find a way to focus on all the good things you've
- 6:05done. All right, my friends.
- 6:07I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 6:10Bye.
