- 0:08Speaker 1: Eith is going head to head with Solana, and of
- 0:10Speaker 1: course Eith Denver had a lot of news. We're going
- 0:12Speaker 1: to break it down for you. My name is Paul Barron,
- 0:14Speaker 1: Welcome back in the tech path. Let's go into our
- 0:17Speaker 1: sponsor today and that's I Trust Capital. This is a
- 0:19Speaker 1: great place to start your crypto IRA and the cool
- 0:23Speaker 1: thing that you can do now with I Trust they
- 0:25Speaker 1: actually have custody accounts where you can go in buy
- 0:27Speaker 1: crypto and not put it in our IRA, actually start
- 0:31Speaker 1: to trade within the app of I Trust Capital. So
- 0:35Speaker 1: check it out and use our link down below. It's
- 0:38Speaker 1: going to give one hundred dollars funding reward. Let's go
- 0:39Speaker 1: over to a couple of the headlines. Here Solana and
- 0:42Speaker 1: Bass are clashing again after playing nice for a little bit,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and of course most of this was because of what
- 0:47Speaker 1: happened in Eth Denver. I want to go to this
- 0:50Speaker 1: first clip. It'll explain a little bit more. Take a look.
- 0:53Speaker 2: So today, Ethereum L one block production time is twelve
- 0:56Speaker 2: seconds on Base. Our block production time is two seconds,
- 0:59Speaker 2: and you know that's pretty good. So I'm excited to
- 1:02Speaker 2: announce today that in collaboration with flashpots, Base is going
- 1:05Speaker 2: live with flashblocks for two hundred millisecond effective block times. Wow,
- 1:11Speaker 2: that's ten times faster than the experience today. So a
- 1:14Speaker 2: payment going through in two hundred milliseconds is a lot
- 1:17Speaker 2: snappier user experience than two seconds. Certainly, gaming is a
- 1:20Speaker 2: compelling use case for faster effective block times as well.
- 1:24Speaker 1: All Right, so gaming and I think also payments to
- 1:27Speaker 1: a certain extent, you're going to be looking at speeds. Again,
- 1:29Speaker 1: Remember this is still just the beginning, but coinbase backbase
- 1:33Speaker 1: unveils their upgrades aiming for Solona's double speed, and I
- 1:37Speaker 1: think when you look at some of the things within
- 1:40Speaker 1: this base is ten times faster, potentially establishing it as
- 1:44Speaker 1: the most efficient EVM out there.
- 1:46Speaker 3: So lots of news out there. Jesse Pollock talked about.
- 1:49Speaker 1: This and he simply said, hey, we think this is
- 1:52Speaker 1: now pure and simple twice as fast as Salona, and
- 1:55Speaker 1: Solana has had the edge on almost all the chains
- 1:59Speaker 1: out there in terms of speed and processing time. So
- 2:02Speaker 1: this really does make a pretty big dent going forward.
- 2:05Speaker 1: If you look at build on base the Twitter account
- 2:09Speaker 1: and you can kind of see when he presses this
- 2:11Speaker 1: blue button right there, when he's going there, you'll see
- 2:14Speaker 1: the transaction turning red and then it just resolves immediately.
- 2:17Speaker 3: That's how fast this is going through.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So that's pretty significant and it shows I think a
- 2:23Speaker 1: huge advancement going forward here on the Ethereum blockchain. Another
- 2:27Speaker 1: thing I want to get into is Ethereum's based el
- 2:31Speaker 1: threes that are incoming.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Take a look.
- 2:33Speaker 2: So I am excited to announce today that in collaboration
- 2:36Speaker 2: with CDP, we're going live with base app chains, which
- 2:39Speaker 2: is a layer three chain launcher for builders that have
- 2:42Speaker 2: reached that scale that's necessary for it. As your app
- 2:45Speaker 2: reaches a certain scale, an app chain might be right
- 2:47Speaker 2: for you. Other types of customization like a custom gas
- 2:50Speaker 2: token or permission allow lists for the types of contracts
- 2:53Speaker 2: that can make calls verticals that this makes a lot
- 2:56Speaker 2: of sense for is definitely gaming. Deep In is a
- 2:58Speaker 2: big one.
- 2:58Speaker 4: That sounds like a really incredible new set of capabilities
- 3:01Speaker 4: and certainly less frustrating for those teams that are dropping
- 3:04Speaker 4: six figures on gas subsidies.
- 3:08Speaker 1: That's crazy, So people are dropping over one hundred thousand
- 3:11Speaker 1: dollars just on gas subsidies. This is going to be
- 3:13Speaker 1: able to be one of the saving graces for that. Also,
- 3:16Speaker 1: they announce subwallet accounts. This is another thing for security
- 3:20Speaker 1: that I think is going to be a big benefit,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and Base did a lot at Eth Denver. I think
- 3:25Speaker 1: I was not expecting this much news coming out, but
- 3:28Speaker 1: take a look at this clip.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I'm excited to announce that smart Wallets is going live
- 3:32Speaker 2: with sub accounts, pop up free transactions for your users,
- 3:36Speaker 2: simplified user experience in an app account or maybe an
- 3:40Speaker 2: agent account, really all kinds of accounts that will have
- 3:43Speaker 2: the ability to be owned by a universal account. They
- 3:46Speaker 2: can have spend limits set back to the universal account
- 3:48Speaker 2: and really get the best of both worlds from this
- 3:50Speaker 2: smart Walllet vision to the embedded sub accounts themselves.
- 3:53Speaker 5: This also sounds like it is a potential service to
- 3:56Speaker 5: improve security.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Big time. Very much on security.
- 4:01Speaker 1: The other thing you got to look at is transactions
- 4:04Speaker 1: right now, revenue in terms of Base If you kind
- 4:07Speaker 1: of zoom in on this last one, they're earning it
- 4:09Speaker 1: around two hundred and eighty two thousand right now on revenue,
- 4:13Speaker 1: and comparison this cumulative, and you compare this to what's
- 4:16Speaker 1: going on over on Solana, which has been declining over
- 4:20Speaker 1: the last little bit since the beginning of twenty twenty
- 4:22Speaker 1: five at about five hundred and thirty eight thousand, so
- 4:24Speaker 1: they are catching up quickly and starting to move. I
- 4:28Speaker 1: think in a very interesting place for the future of
- 4:31Speaker 1: where not only Ethereum is going, but a lot of
- 4:34Speaker 1: these L two's that are really going to start to expand.
- 4:36Speaker 3: If you look at.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Flashbox t architecture, this is kind of breaking it down
- 4:41Speaker 1: because this is where it's mostly going to be benefited. This,
- 4:45Speaker 1: of course, is going to be unitchain. So think about
- 4:47Speaker 1: unicewap and what they've been able to do pretty quickly.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Other advancements that are happening with uniswap is turning your
- 4:53Speaker 1: crypto into cash.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Now, I want to play this video.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm going to keep it muted here, but I want
- 4:57Speaker 1: to just watch what they're talking about.
- 5:00Speaker 3: What this can do is do.
- 5:03Speaker 1: What we've been trying to do for a long time,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and that is getting to a true fiat off ramp.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And the idea here is very simple. You're going to
- 5:11Speaker 1: be able to do the swap, be able to transfer
- 5:13Speaker 1: via moonpay Robinhood right into your bank. Now it's not
- 5:16Speaker 1: going into Robinhood or into Moopey. It's like a bridge.
- 5:19Speaker 1: In essence, this will be a pretty big deal. I
- 5:21Speaker 1: think for a lot of new people, but in general
- 5:23Speaker 1: I think for crypto because it will benefit people who
- 5:26Speaker 1: are trying to go to cash. So another big advantage
- 5:29Speaker 1: right there. If you look at just active traders on uniswap,
- 5:32Speaker 1: on unitchain, all trending up here, so could be a
- 5:35Speaker 1: buy right now if you look at uniswap where it's
- 5:37Speaker 1: currently training in the market. I'm watching this one pretty closely.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And of course you got to look at unichain and
- 5:44Speaker 1: their growth in a very short period of time. Not
- 5:46Speaker 1: bad considering the market as we've seen so far, so
- 5:50Speaker 1: a lot of good news coming out. So some of
- 5:53Speaker 1: the base upgrades enabled platforms like this, projects like this.
- 5:57Speaker 1: This is called Flyinet. This is part of Blackbird. We've
- 6:00Speaker 1: talked about them before.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Let's go to a clip. It'll give you a little
- 6:03Speaker 3: bit more explanation. Take a look.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Arguably, Blackbird is one of the only consumer platforms applications
- 6:10Speaker 4: that has product market fit in crypto.
- 6:12Speaker 6: If you ask me today, the average restaurant's profit margin
- 6:15Speaker 6: is under five percent. Services like the reservations companies for sure,
- 6:19Speaker 6: and some of the POS companies operate they're selling the
- 6:22Speaker 6: customer back to the restaurant.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Over and over and over again.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Okay, So if you go back to that point about
- 6:27Speaker 6: how thin the margins are, that starts to feel pretty untenable.
- 6:30Speaker 2: What's the big announcement?
- 6:32Speaker 6: What happened today? So the big announcement is that we've
- 6:34Speaker 6: launched Flying Net, which is our own transaction network that's
- 6:38Speaker 6: on Chaine. It's an L three on top of base
- 6:41Speaker 6: and it's live as of today, and sometime next week
- 6:44Speaker 6: there will be a season one air drop of F two.
- 6:47Speaker 6: The restaurants will be co owners with us of this network,
- 6:52Speaker 6: seven seasons by which we air drop it to network participants, restaurants, consumers,
- 6:57Speaker 6: and restaurant workers. Today's day's zero, but the main net
- 7:01Speaker 6: is live. Everything that's happening on Blackbird is now on Chain.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Next week is the first air drop and it only
- 7:07Speaker 6: gets more interesting from there. Great up only.
- 7:11Speaker 1: So that's been Leventhal, he talks. He's been at this
- 7:15Speaker 1: for quite some time. This is a former Eater guy.
- 7:17Speaker 1: If you know anything about the restaurants space, Eater is
- 7:19Speaker 1: probably one of the biggest blogs out there ever, and
- 7:23Speaker 1: they've seen kind of the trenches of where restaurants are going.
- 7:26Speaker 3: And he is exactly right.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Some of the fees, some of the largest fees are
- 7:29Speaker 1: through these merchant services point of sale companies that do
- 7:32Speaker 1: kind of sell that cycle back to the restaurants.
- 7:34Speaker 3: So this will be a big win. One thing about.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Gift cards in general is this is a massive industry
- 7:41Speaker 1: because it spans across so many things retail, restaurant, hospitality, etc.
- 7:46Speaker 1: So it's multi trillions in terms of revenue opportunity. Here
- 7:49Speaker 1: again starts to expose base even further. I want to
- 7:52Speaker 1: go to another clip here. Then this is David Schwartz
- 7:55Speaker 1: talking about finance rails being needed.
- 7:58Speaker 3: First take a look.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Even or not. A major driver for enterprise adoption for
- 8:03Speaker 4: token ized real world assets is that the transaction fees
- 8:06Speaker 4: are smaller. If you're holding five million dollars in tokenized treasuries,
- 8:10Speaker 4: the amount of margin that the issuer is making is microscopic.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Your yield is microscopic. The margins are microscopic. So we're
- 8:17Speaker 4: going to bring enterprises in for dumb reasons like it
- 8:20Speaker 4: saves them money, it's more transparent. If we want to
- 8:23Speaker 4: like take over finance, we need the really boring. I
- 8:28Speaker 4: need a checking account, I need a savings account, I
- 8:30Speaker 4: need a retirement account. But a lot of them will
- 8:32Speaker 4: be here just because it's cheaper and faster, and it
- 8:34Speaker 4: works on weekends, and it has these tiny little advantages
- 8:37Speaker 4: that are better. Is better, right, You don't have to
- 8:39Speaker 4: believe me that it's going to change the world. It's
- 8:41Speaker 4: enough for you that it's better.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So that of course, David Schwartz coming in from Ripple,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and I think his point is the rails, the infrastructure
- 8:50Speaker 1: that still needs to take place. We are right, I believe,
- 8:54Speaker 1: at the cost. But I think a lot of devs
- 8:56Speaker 1: are starting to see the light here. And also I
- 8:58Speaker 1: think we're seeing traditional finance, major companies, major industries starting
- 9:03Speaker 1: to bridge this gap into blockchain. It is coming, for sure.
- 9:07Speaker 1: One thing that is coming also is Trump filing trademarks
- 9:10Speaker 1: on potentially a Trump metaverse. Now there's a few things
- 9:14Speaker 1: that he kind of hits on, but he's looking at
- 9:16Speaker 1: and it was interesting said the Trump family is looking
- 9:18Speaker 1: to develop a Trump branded metaverse. This is of course
- 9:22Speaker 1: to a recent trademark filing. And when you look at
- 9:24Speaker 1: the Trump term and it's used in the US Patent Office.
- 9:28Speaker 1: A couple of points that they get into, which is
- 9:31Speaker 1: kind of interesting. They talk about virtual reality games and
- 9:34Speaker 1: headsets in this, all this around the Trump you brand itself.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Further into this, they get into virtual restaurant services nature
- 9:42Speaker 1: of simulated restaurant services.
- 9:44Speaker 3: So you can kind of see the future here.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Especially if we start to see some real action on
- 9:50Speaker 1: whether it is VRAR and the integration of a lot
- 9:52Speaker 1: of retail services. Restaurant of course will be one of
- 9:55Speaker 1: the key ones. And of course he's a hospitality guy,
- 9:57Speaker 1: so he understands that restaurants, hotel, et cetera, and it
- 10:01Speaker 1: definitely flows in with their plan overall.
- 10:04Speaker 3: All right, let's take a look at L two B.
- 10:06Speaker 1: This is just going into the transaction processes here, and
- 10:10Speaker 1: if you look at the CBS here you can kind
- 10:11Speaker 1: of see Base is still the king right here. And
- 10:16Speaker 1: one that seems to be growing right here is Sonium.
- 10:18Speaker 1: We've talked about them before. If you look at where
- 10:21Speaker 1: Sonium is going pretty much up only. So this is
- 10:24Speaker 1: another one to watch again. Uh, these are the kind
- 10:27Speaker 1: of layer twos that I think will make a big
- 10:30Speaker 1: difference in this next push forward on ethereum. All right,
- 10:33Speaker 1: so I want to go to this clip right here.
- 10:35Speaker 1: This is Brian Donalds. You guys have seen him. We've
- 10:36Speaker 1: done clips of him before, and he's announcing his bid
- 10:40Speaker 1: for Florida governor. And this is a good thing because
- 10:44Speaker 1: he's very pro crypto. Listen to what he had to say.
- 10:47Speaker 5: I'm here to announce my candidacy to be the next
- 10:49Speaker 5: governor of the great State of Florida.
- 10:51Speaker 6: What are the issues you see that you would want
- 10:54Speaker 6: to maybe take to another level?
- 10:56Speaker 5: So a couple of things. First, we have an insurance
- 10:58Speaker 5: problem in our states. My career in banking, insurance and
- 11:01Speaker 5: in financial services, we got to solve it. We got
- 11:04Speaker 5: to stabilize those costs. I want to turn Florida into
- 11:07Speaker 5: the financial hub of the world. Digital assets has made
- 11:11Speaker 5: a home in South Florida for businesses to incorporate in
- 11:14Speaker 5: our states, but then also for the state to take
- 11:17Speaker 5: the lead on cryptocurrency and digital assets. I would even
- 11:20Speaker 5: consider having crypto be a part of the state's financial portfolio.
- 11:24Speaker 1: One thing that he mentioned in that clip there is
- 11:26Speaker 1: he's talking about insurance. If you guys don't know, it's
- 11:28Speaker 1: a ridiculously hard problem to solve here in the Sunshine State,
- 11:33Speaker 1: and one of the biggest ones is home insurance. Even
- 11:37Speaker 1: though we've seen health insurance also being a big factor.
- 11:40Speaker 1: This is where blockchain could become more of a community
- 11:44Speaker 1: based insurance pool, and this would be a huge step
- 11:47Speaker 1: forward for not only this state, but it also could
- 11:50Speaker 1: pave the way for a lot of the next generation
- 11:53Speaker 1: of how insurance might work.
- 11:54Speaker 3: So he might be onto something.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I think he has yet to see the full benefit
- 11:59Speaker 1: of where blockchain can go. So we're going to be
- 12:00Speaker 1: watching that one close now thinking of where our current
- 12:02Speaker 1: government and governor has been. You got to look back
- 12:05Speaker 1: at Ron DeSantis. Now many people thought he was kind
- 12:09Speaker 1: of pro crypto. He actually developed a blockchain task force,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but it was in twenty nineteen and unfortunately nothing happened.
- 12:18Speaker 1: So this was again another you know, in this particular case,
- 12:24Speaker 1: another politician just utilizing crypto as a talking point, a
- 12:28Speaker 1: stump point, and he didn't do anything. Last point I
- 12:31Speaker 1: want to make here on the politics of Florida is
- 12:34Speaker 1: that it looks like Donald's would be going up against Casey.
- 12:38Speaker 3: This is the Desanti's wife.
- 12:41Speaker 1: And this is not a good This is to me,
- 12:43Speaker 1: is not a win for the state of Florida. I
- 12:45Speaker 1: hope that maybe there's some alternatives here, but right now
- 12:48Speaker 1: I'm not necessarily on camp with that, So I think
- 12:52Speaker 1: right now Case is going to have her hands full,
- 12:53Speaker 1: I think with Byron to win the next phase. All right,
- 12:57Speaker 1: So I want to jump over to Wyoming. This is
- 12:59Speaker 1: another state that of course just doing some big things.
- 13:01Speaker 1: And we've had Anthony Apollo on before. This is the
- 13:04Speaker 1: guy that leads the commission on the stable coin development
- 13:07Speaker 1: there inside Wyoming. Now some things have been going on
- 13:10Speaker 1: within that. We just had him on our show not
- 13:13Speaker 1: too long ago. Go back and watch the episode. You
- 13:14Speaker 1: can kind of learn about what they're doing. It's a
- 13:16Speaker 1: stable coin potential for the state. And the reason this
- 13:19Speaker 1: is important. And even though it's Wyoming not a big state,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but the fact that they're doing this could pave the
- 13:26Speaker 1: way into places like Florida, Texas where this could absolutely explode. Now,
- 13:31Speaker 1: some of the projects in blockchains that are being looked
- 13:34Speaker 1: at is Avalanche, Suie several others.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Those are the two that are.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Kind of leading even blockchain dot com. But you look
- 13:41Speaker 1: at some of the things they added to the list
- 13:43Speaker 1: in terms of requirements mobile application, digital wallet. This was
- 13:48Speaker 1: added right here. Ava Labs meets that recommendation or that requirement,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and this was a new one as well, and we
- 13:55Speaker 1: actually brought this up to Anthony Apollo. We showed him
- 13:58Speaker 1: the cat community and just to give him an understanding
- 14:02Speaker 1: of how powerful a community within blockchain can be. The
- 14:07Speaker 1: other thing you're going to see coming in I think
- 14:09Speaker 1: from Avalanche is of course what we've seen here with
- 14:12Speaker 1: card pay, and of course we've talked about the Avalanche
- 14:15Speaker 1: credit card coming live. I know you're on me, might
- 14:17Speaker 1: be on the list right now to try to get it.
- 14:19Speaker 1: This is actually happening. I want to go to a
- 14:21Speaker 1: clip and just show you how fast this thing is.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Just got the limited edition EVAs bes a card.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Check this out from here. When you tap it, you.
- 14:31Speaker 3: See it lighting up.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Guys, this is super cool.
- 14:34Speaker 2: It just preloaded a wallet for me, so I can
- 14:36Speaker 2: load this wallet with amax USDC and other assets and
- 14:40Speaker 2: then I can go to the store or whatever in space.
- 14:42Speaker 1: All right, So other things you have to look at
- 14:44Speaker 1: is speed and that being a gift card, but Speed,
- 14:47Speaker 1: this is actually a credit card that's working. And I
- 14:51Speaker 1: know everybody's on the wait list for this now, and
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm hoping that this doesn't end up like the Robinhood
- 14:56Speaker 1: credit card, which nobody ever gets but actually gets listed
- 15:01Speaker 1: and delivered to customers and people that want to get
- 15:03Speaker 1: on this. So if it does happen, then this will
- 15:06Speaker 1: be a big win for Avalanche. It's also another requirement
- 15:09Speaker 1: I think for the state. Other things that are Avalanche
- 15:11Speaker 1: are doing the State of Wyoming, other things that are
- 15:13Speaker 1: Avalanche doing. Of course, it's another game is now coming
- 15:16Speaker 1: to consoles out there.
- 15:17Speaker 3: This is haunted space. That's another one.
- 15:19Speaker 1: That could be remember off the grid, getting ready to
- 15:22Speaker 1: go live pretty much everywhere and potentially having NFTs available
- 15:27Speaker 1: over an open see a lot happening over there on
- 15:29Speaker 1: the Avalanche chain. All right, so many of you guys
- 15:31Speaker 1: might be looking to say, all right, well, maybe what
- 15:33Speaker 1: is my play in the market right now, especially when
- 15:37Speaker 1: it's so far down. Could I possibly do a swap
- 15:40Speaker 1: for a token that maybe isn't moving and I want
- 15:44Speaker 1: to put it into utility. Well some of the utility
- 15:46Speaker 1: that we've shown you today. When you look at what's
- 15:48Speaker 1: happening within ETH, I think I would lead with Eth.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I'd start to move Salana down the list, and then
- 15:54Speaker 1: of course at you know, Cardinal, we can't.
- 15:56Speaker 3: We'll put it at the bottom.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Avalanche needs to move up, Sweeney to move up, maybe
- 16:01Speaker 1: even near moving up. But the point is shuffle these
- 16:03Speaker 1: around a little bit. There's some opportunities for you guys
- 16:05Speaker 1: going forward. If you take a look at the market
- 16:07Speaker 1: right now. I was looking at unicewap right here, this
- 16:10Speaker 1: would be a five x where unicewap is trading right
- 16:13Speaker 1: now to the top. That's a great advantage for the
- 16:16Speaker 1: eth ecosystem. And even if you look at where Ethereum
- 16:20Speaker 1: is trading right now, holding this line at around twenty
- 16:23Speaker 1: two hundred, this may be a goodbye for it.
