- 0:04Speaker 1: and two time People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing it.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yes, we are coming in hot.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Coming in hot. Day after break. Yeah, always tough. You know.
- 0:23Speaker 4: I have the.
- 0:24Speaker 5: Worst sleep, always whenever we have any sort of break
- 0:27Speaker 5: from work, because I get used to like sleeping with
- 0:29Speaker 5: on an alarm and just kind of waking up whenever
- 0:31Speaker 5: I wake up, and so I go it with panic.
- 0:34Speaker 5: And sure enough, last night, I woke up at twelve thirty.
- 0:36Speaker 5: I woke up at two forty five, and then my
- 0:38Speaker 5: alarm goes off at four, So basically I just woke
- 0:41Speaker 5: up at two forty five.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Oh that's tough. Yeah, he'd be coughed all night, So
- 0:48Speaker 2: gotta get that situated again. But we are going on
- 0:51Speaker 2: a trip, which I get really anxious about leaving her,
- 0:54Speaker 2: no matter like how long we're going, yeah, or we're
- 0:57Speaker 2: gonna be gone for a minute, And I'm really anxious
- 1:00Speaker 2: about it. But I'm also like, oh, may I'm going
- 1:02Speaker 2: to get some good night's sleep. I mean, it's like
- 1:07Speaker 2: having a newborn who's like a hacking in your ear.
- 1:11Speaker 5: I know, but I thought you discovered it that it
- 1:13Speaker 5: was like synthetic fragrances I have.
- 1:17Speaker 2: It just depends on the night. Sometimes I feel like
- 1:19Speaker 2: I've gotten it figured out and then she comes up
- 1:22Speaker 2: with another He's cough in my ear, and I'm like,
- 1:24Speaker 2: here we are, Yeah, just square one. So it's a
- 1:27Speaker 2: little bit about me.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Yeah, Becca's off for a little vak. So we apologize
- 1:32Speaker 5: in advance for some short episodes this week, but you
- 1:34Speaker 5: know we're getting it in, yeah when we can.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Well, we wanted to. We wanted to get our episodes out.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I been out for our for our gallas and guys, for.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Our scrubbers, because next week Robbie's going to be filling in,
- 1:47Speaker 5: filling in, so it's important. This week we had the BECA.
- 1:51Speaker 4: How was Thanksgiving?
- 1:53Speaker 3: It is good.
- 1:54Speaker 5: It was a lot. It was just a lot.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Y'all did a lot for preparation for the day.
- 2:00Speaker 5: We we took on a lot because we were just like,
- 2:03Speaker 5: there's all these little things around the house that we've
- 2:05Speaker 5: been wanting to do, and so we decided doing them
- 2:07Speaker 5: before Thanksgiving was what we were going to do. And
- 2:10Speaker 5: like it was NonStop for I feel like two weeks
- 2:13Speaker 5: before leading up, little things like the knacks on the
- 2:16Speaker 5: you know, on the walls. We were painting those, to
- 2:20Speaker 5: like painting windowsills, to hydro jetting the Amazon and pieces
- 2:26Speaker 5: I didn't even know existed.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I mean it was just like NonStop.
- 2:30Speaker 4: It felt like you were preparing for your wedding. It
- 2:33Speaker 4: maybe more so, yes, and the more preparation I think.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Yeah, Robbie was like really wanting to make this beautiful
- 2:39Speaker 5: little artwork for the table, and he wanted the menu
- 2:42Speaker 5: to be like cute and fun and yeah, we like
- 2:45Speaker 5: went all out. Yeah, so after Thanksgiving, I literally felt
- 2:49Speaker 5: like I was hit by a truck.
- 2:51Speaker 4: But you could just rested.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I just rested. I understand the appeal of just laying.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Yeah, we can get into We'll get into that later.
- 3:05Speaker 5: I really like I thought about it. I was like wow,
- 3:07Speaker 5: because Friday we didn't get out of it. We didn't
- 3:09Speaker 5: even get out of bed until probably like one o'clock.
- 3:12Speaker 5: I mean we like got out to pee and like
- 3:14Speaker 5: eat breakfast and stuff, but like.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Right, the only the essentials, yeah, only that they needed.
- 3:17Speaker 5: And I was like, wow, I have this at fifty
- 3:19Speaker 5: And I was like, I understand Becca's love for Lang
- 3:23Speaker 5: so nice.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I love Lang yeah, we laid a lot too.
- 3:28Speaker 3: How was your Thanksgiving?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Well, we were supposed to host and some some of
- 3:34Speaker 2: the family members in Haley's family went Now all all
- 3:38Speaker 2: majority went down, like her nephew got sick, and so
- 3:43Speaker 2: their whole family was quarantining together and we were like,
- 3:48Speaker 2: y'all stay there, we don't need that. And then her
- 3:51Speaker 2: dad was sick and I was like, let's just push
- 3:53Speaker 2: it so everyone's feeling better. Yeah, So we I had
- 3:58Speaker 2: set up like a whole table setting and I had
- 4:02Speaker 2: ordered everything, so I was like, I'm setting it out. Yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 2: I'm just gonna take pictures and we're gonna have it.
- 4:07Speaker 2: It's just gonna be me and you with a long
- 4:09Speaker 2: table having our Thanksgiving dinner.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So that's what I did. I said it all out,
- 4:13Speaker 4: but like flowers.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And everything on the table and then we just and
- 4:18Speaker 2: it was nice because I just have to say we
- 4:20Speaker 2: rented chairs and I'm I don't know, they have no
- 4:24Speaker 2: idea that.
- 4:24Speaker 4: I have a podcast, but.
- 4:27Speaker 2: A shout out as rentals in North Hollywood. I had
- 4:32Speaker 2: told them because it was last minute that we found
- 4:34Speaker 2: out everyone was sick.
- 4:35Speaker 4: So I was like, I'm so sorry.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I know it's the night before but is there any
- 4:41Speaker 2: way we could just move the delivery to Sunday, And
- 4:44Speaker 2: she was like, they're already loaded, but I can have
- 4:47Speaker 2: them cancel the delivery if you don't need them. And
- 4:49Speaker 2: I was like, well, if I'm not getting a refund
- 4:50Speaker 2: or anything, just go on and bring them off. Figure
- 4:53Speaker 2: out something to do with them. But I got heaters
- 4:55Speaker 2: and stuff too, and so they delivered them and they
- 5:01Speaker 2: didn't pick them up yesterday.
- 5:03Speaker 4: So we had them for yesterday for our Thanksgiving.
- 5:06Speaker 2: And I don't know if it was intentional or if
- 5:07Speaker 2: they were just taking the weekend off, but.
- 5:09Speaker 5: I like, I was gonna say that ours are getting
- 5:11Speaker 5: picked up today. Okay, well then he took the weekend off.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Anyways, it worked out and so her family came over yesterday,
- 5:21Speaker 2: her sister and the kids still were not they were down,
- 5:24Speaker 2: but we had Thanksgiving with her parents and her brother
- 5:27Speaker 2: and her uncle and it was it was so fun.
- 5:30Speaker 2: It was our first time having an actual dinner in
- 5:32Speaker 2: our new backyard. So we had like, we played ping pong,
- 5:36Speaker 2: we got in the jacuzzi.
- 5:37Speaker 4: It was just so it was so nice.
- 5:39Speaker 5: So we two had a member two members of our
- 5:44Speaker 5: three members of our family down with illness for Thanksgiving,
- 5:47Speaker 5: and then I heard Becca's debacle and I was like, well,
- 5:49Speaker 5: why don't you guys just read rover on over to
- 5:52Speaker 5: the ad pad for Thanksgiving? And Becka Nily said no, well.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's like we had the we were excited
- 5:59Speaker 2: to have at our place and be at home because
- 6:02Speaker 2: we were always going places for Thanksgiving, so we were
- 6:04Speaker 2: just like we just wanted to chill at home and
- 6:07Speaker 2: we were so content, like we had so much fun.
- 6:09Speaker 4: We played horse in the.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Backyard, they played horse in my house.
- 6:12Speaker 2: We played ping pong, and then we just like cooked
- 6:21Speaker 2: and ate and played scrabble. It was so fun just us.
- 6:25Speaker 2: You know, it was just so fun. But I did appreciate.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I really we had everyone being like come over, like
- 6:30Speaker 2: everyone felt like bad for us, and we were very content.
- 6:34Speaker 6: You know.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I spared you a lot of phone calls because.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I can't remember I said something.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I was like, I'm trying to get back and Haley
- 6:39Speaker 5: to come over here, like they're family sick and they're
- 6:42Speaker 5: just the lone and like everybody in my family was.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Like, I'll call them, I'll call them, I'll call them.
- 6:46Speaker 5: I was like, no, no, I don't think they want
- 6:48Speaker 5: to come over.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Please do not everybody start.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Calling them no, No, I really appreciate it.
- 6:52Speaker 2: And it made me feel like anytime we need a home,
- 6:54Speaker 2: we can go to the rad pad. Yeah, and I
- 6:56Speaker 2: and the yad pad is what I.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Meant, Yeah, the rad yad pad.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Yeah. So yeah, we had a lot of food. Oh weekend.
- 7:04Speaker 4: It was wonderful.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I had.
- 7:07Speaker 5: We had so many leftovers. I think, like when we
- 7:11Speaker 5: heard thirty people, we prepared for like a hundred people.
- 7:15Speaker 5: And because I think I overestimate how much people eat.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I like you think people get like the seconds
- 7:24Speaker 2: and thirds like I do.
- 7:26Speaker 5: And I also think, like I in my head, I
- 7:27Speaker 5: think like a turkey is like a chicken, and so
- 7:30Speaker 5: I'm like, well, we usually get one chicken for like
- 7:32Speaker 5: our family of four, so we need like a lot
- 7:34Speaker 5: of turkey for thirty people, you know what I mean.
- 7:36Speaker 4: So how many turkeys did you get too?
- 7:38Speaker 7: Oh? My god?
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:41Speaker 5: So I had leftovers literally until yesterday. I had my
- 7:45Speaker 5: last cranberry mashed potato turkey meal. You ate that every
- 7:50Speaker 5: day every day for lunch and dinner, Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
- 7:53Speaker 5: and half of Sunday.
- 7:54Speaker 4: I'm overwhelmed.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't do you want me to the same thing,
- 7:58Speaker 5: except instead of mashed potatoes, he did rice.
- 8:01Speaker 4: I can't do a repetitive thing like that.
- 8:04Speaker 5: When you have so much leftovers, you just do what
- 8:07Speaker 5: you gotta do, I know, and you would reposition it
- 8:11Speaker 5: into different things, like a sandwich or something with a moistmaker.
- 8:15Speaker 4: What a moist maker?
- 8:18Speaker 5: You don't know that from friends? No?
- 8:22Speaker 3: Have you not seen that episode?
- 8:23Speaker 2: I have?
- 8:23Speaker 5: I have to Ross like has the special Thanksgiving sandwich
- 8:27Speaker 5: that his sister makes. She puts the moistmaker in it,
- 8:29Speaker 5: and somebody ate his sandwich.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Oh oh yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah No no moist makers. No, but my
- 8:38Speaker 2: Hayley made my mom's roast on actual Thanksgiving. That so
- 8:41Speaker 2: we didn't We had turkey yesterday, but we had like roast,
- 8:44Speaker 2: and we we like put We made mac and cheese
- 8:48Speaker 2: when she just did craft mac and cheese, which we
- 8:50Speaker 2: were both so.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Excited about because we haven't had it in so long,
- 8:53Speaker 4: and she.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Posted a picture and everyone was like, is that craft
- 8:56Speaker 2: back cheese. Anyways, we divvied up all the helpings and
- 9:00Speaker 2: then we went and delivered them to the family so
- 9:03Speaker 2: that they had dinner.
- 9:04Speaker 4: That's so we didn't have any leftover roast and we
- 9:07Speaker 4: were so sad, were like, dang.
- 9:09Speaker 5: It, we did that too.
- 9:11Speaker 6: Week.
- 9:12Speaker 5: I got these like to go things to pack all
- 9:14Speaker 5: the left somebody could take whatever they wanted home, and
- 9:16Speaker 5: I bought these like biodegradable good for the planet once
- 9:20Speaker 5: and like they the tops just didn't like.
- 9:24Speaker 4: I know what you're talking.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Yes, yes, they just like.
- 9:28Speaker 5: They were such a disasters on like taping all these
- 9:30Speaker 5: things shuting.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Did you do is get rubber bands? You know, yes,
- 9:37Speaker 2: like how they do it.
- 9:37Speaker 3: That's what I was missing, the rub bands.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Next year, maybe you can be a real host.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I do feel like I really just got to
- 9:44Speaker 5: shut it out because I get really overwhelmed with the
- 9:47Speaker 5: timing of the food preparations. Like I was just so
- 9:50Speaker 5: all day I was fixated. I'm like, okay, we have
- 9:52Speaker 5: our doors or starters out when we bring like when
- 9:56Speaker 5: do we eat? We didn't have like a set time,
- 9:58Speaker 5: so like we kind of just kept like asking people
- 9:59Speaker 5: are you hungry?
- 10:01Speaker 3: And then like we put the stuff out.
- 10:02Speaker 5: But then like it was like hunger games for the oven,
- 10:04Speaker 5: you know, like you get to put their food in
- 10:06Speaker 5: a like what temperature?
- 10:07Speaker 3: And that was just like as stressful.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I will say we well yesterday.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Since it was just a small group of us, we
- 10:14Speaker 2: had our Adu kitchen, so it was the first time
- 10:17Speaker 2: we used that. So we had that oven, which was helpful,
- 10:20Speaker 2: truly amazing because the turkey was just in there. Yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 2: and everything else was just its own, like spot he
- 10:27Speaker 2: needs its own moment.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Yeah, we don't have that. We just have one old oven.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Yeah, well that's pretty standard. We're very fortunate to have
- 10:35Speaker 4: the second oven. But it was great. I love Lane,
- 10:40Speaker 4: I love Lane. I love laying.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Yeah, Like, do you know how much I laid?
- 10:45Speaker 4: Did you watch any shows while you laid?
- 10:48Speaker 3: I watched so many shows.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Let's talk about what you watch and what you loved
- 10:54Speaker 2: and recommend when we come back.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Okay, all right, we're back.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Okay, so what did you watch while whilst laying?
- 11:18Speaker 5: So I want to say my number one recommendation and
- 11:20Speaker 5: the show that I was absolutely obsessed with that I
- 11:22Speaker 5: honestly would watch again was The Beast in Me.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Oh Hailey wall I was a little too scary. I
- 11:27Speaker 4: was on the couch. I thought it scary. What he
- 11:31Speaker 4: was pretty scary? Yes, So I had shocked.
- 11:35Speaker 5: And confirm that fun because I usually don't like scary things,
- 11:39Speaker 5: and I was fine with the show.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Well, I would love to be there's definitely suspense.
- 11:44Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a thriller.
- 11:46Speaker 4: It's a thriller.
- 11:46Speaker 2: When he was getting the text right before he was
- 11:49Speaker 2: about to throw the phone, I was like screaming at
- 11:53Speaker 2: the DV.
- 11:54Speaker 5: I was like, this is too much. Matthew Reese has
- 11:58Speaker 5: become my favorite actor on the planet, like I like
- 12:03Speaker 5: my My lore for him goes deep into did you
- 12:06Speaker 5: ever watch the show Brothers and Sisters?
- 12:08Speaker 4: No?
- 12:09Speaker 5: Oh, you would love it?
- 12:11Speaker 4: Really yes, it's like back in the day.
- 12:13Speaker 5: I can't remember. It was like one of those like
- 12:15Speaker 5: what was it on?
- 12:17Speaker 7: Was it back in two thousand and six? It was
- 12:18Speaker 7: on ABC?
- 12:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I was on ABC. It was kind of like
- 12:20Speaker 5: Seventh heaveny ish, I would say.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Sorry, Sally, a tough comparison.
- 12:27Speaker 5: Watch I wasn't Seventh Heaven good When see them happy
- 12:36Speaker 5: faces smiling back at me and it's.
- 12:40Speaker 7: Comp time has not been kind to Seventh Heaven.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Oh really?
- 12:45Speaker 4: Yeah? No?
- 12:47Speaker 5: Wait, okay, then what's another show about like family? So
- 12:52Speaker 5: I can't compare it to that?
- 12:54Speaker 8: Well, uh yeah, there's an actor us. This is this
- 12:58Speaker 8: is us is a good good win O. There's a
- 13:00Speaker 8: Who's and Brothers and Sisters and the beast in me.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I know that's getting at Matthew Rece.
- 13:07Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 13:10Speaker 5: That's why I was saying it, because Matthew re because
- 13:14Speaker 5: in Brothers and Sisters so long ago. I used to
- 13:17Speaker 5: watch this when I was a kid. And then he
- 13:19Speaker 5: was in the show The Americans with Carrie Russell, which
- 13:21Speaker 5: was so excellent television. And now this show that I'm
- 13:25Speaker 5: obsessed with, I'm like, Matthew rees is now my number
- 13:27Speaker 5: one favorite actor.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Wait do you know? Sorry this is off topic, but
- 13:32Speaker 4: I just saw this thing Carrie Russell.
- 13:34Speaker 2: She was Felicity, right, Yes, I just saw this clip
- 13:38Speaker 2: where you know.
- 13:39Speaker 4: She had like long, beautiful, curly hair.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and then there's this episode where she like cuts
- 13:44Speaker 2: her hair really short.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Again.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I watched it, but I don't remember any of this.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Okay, well, I weirdly remember this. I didn't watch it either,
- 13:51Speaker 4: but I remember the controversy.
- 13:56Speaker 2: And I saw TikTok about it and people are like
- 13:59Speaker 2: in the comments, the ratings were never the same after
- 14:01Speaker 2: she cut her hair, and I was like, there's.
- 14:03Speaker 4: No way that's true, and it was.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Shoo, why'd they ever cut her hair?
- 14:08Speaker 4: Maybe she wanted to do.
- 14:10Speaker 5: I forget she had that curly hair. It's not curly
- 14:11Speaker 5: anymore on the Americans.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Well, she put a treatment on it.
- 14:15Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like very straight in the Americans. Actually, they've
- 14:19Speaker 5: come a long way with the tools. But she has
- 14:20Speaker 5: gorgeous curly hair. Yeah. So anyway, Yeah, Matthew Race the
- 14:25Speaker 5: beast in me was so phenomenal. Like Robbie and I
- 14:29Speaker 5: are one of those people were like, we can be
- 14:30Speaker 5: watching something and then at nine o'clock, when it hits
- 14:32Speaker 5: nine o'clock, we're like, okay, TV off bedtime.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 14:35Speaker 5: But this show we were on like episode seven and
- 14:38Speaker 5: we were like, there's no way we could go to
- 14:39Speaker 5: sleep without seeing the end of it. So we're up
- 14:41Speaker 5: till one o'clock in the morning watching this. Oh and
- 14:45Speaker 5: you loved it ten out of ten. I give it
- 14:47Speaker 5: ten stars.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Hailey says it's probably one of the best shows.
- 14:51Speaker 4: She's what.
- 14:52Speaker 5: She also loved all her fault and she hated that.
- 14:56Speaker 2: No, And the more people are hyping it up, the
- 14:58Speaker 2: more we're feeling like, what's it.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Either something's wrong with all of you or something's wrong
- 15:03Speaker 4: with us.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I think something's wrong with y'all.
- 15:05Speaker 4: I think y'all are too satisfied with easy television. Easy television,
- 15:11Speaker 4: like I think someone can throw out like one weird
- 15:14Speaker 4: twist and everyone's like, oh as opposed to it being
- 15:17Speaker 4: like the beast.
- 15:18Speaker 2: In me, it felt like it was like really well,
- 15:20Speaker 2: it was like a good script.
- 15:22Speaker 4: It was really well acted.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I don't know, I felt like all her fault the
- 15:25Speaker 2: scenes I saw it felt like a soap oper and
- 15:27Speaker 2: the music was like.
- 15:31Speaker 3: You're just wrong. It's you're absolutely wrong.
- 15:34Speaker 5: I only gave it like a nine point five because
- 15:36Speaker 5: the ending like was like a little bit soap opera
- 15:40Speaker 5: to me, like, well.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Now that I know you like seventh even, all of
- 15:45Speaker 2: your REGs are out the door.
- 15:48Speaker 4: It's see.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Oh I don't remember seventh even, but I remember that
- 15:51Speaker 5: it was like a family. It was like a show
- 15:52Speaker 5: about a family.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, A lot of shows are like what a
- 15:58Speaker 2: Whole House?
- 16:01Speaker 4: It's literally about a family in a full house.
- 16:04Speaker 5: I know, but it was like drama. It was like
- 16:07Speaker 5: during day. It wasn't like a daytime show. What Brothers
- 16:11Speaker 5: and Sisters was like a nighttime show. It was like
- 16:12Speaker 5: a little bit on like the risqueer side.
- 16:14Speaker 7: Full House at night. What It's on?
- 16:17Speaker 5: A thing?
- 16:17Speaker 7: Called Prime Time.
- 16:19Speaker 8: Interesting, the Evening interesting. So you want like drama shows
- 16:22Speaker 8: about families, that's what you're looking for.
- 16:25Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, I was just trying to give give
- 16:27Speaker 5: Brothers and.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Sisters some sort of no no, no did it?
- 16:31Speaker 4: How many seasons did it run?
- 16:33Speaker 5: You think? Can you fact check that? I'm not sure?
- 16:35Speaker 4: But a lot?
- 16:35Speaker 7: I think Brothers and Sisters five?
- 16:38Speaker 6: Five?
- 16:38Speaker 7: Yes, exactly? Fine?
- 16:40Speaker 4: Oh wow, okay, okay.
- 16:42Speaker 5: And then I watched the Celebrity UK Traders. Oh yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 5: I was gonna see a nominal television.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Who are the celebrities on?
- 16:51Speaker 5: I don't know any of them except for the one
- 16:53Speaker 5: guy from uh, what's the show with the soccer the
- 16:57Speaker 5: soccer balls? Funny with the oh till ted Lasso. He
- 17:01Speaker 5: was like one of the coaches and Ted Laso.
- 17:04Speaker 2: We had a hold this whole thing about ted Lasso
- 17:06Speaker 2: and how I didn't get into it.
- 17:08Speaker 3: It was your favorite Mohammed.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Yes, So he was the only Trader that I recognized
- 17:12Speaker 5: as a celebrity. I didn't know who any of the
- 17:14Speaker 5: rest of them were. And it was amazing. Really it's
- 17:18Speaker 5: a good season, great season. I highly recommend it. It was
- 17:20Speaker 5: a nice palate cleanser after the beast in me because
- 17:23Speaker 5: it was very intense to very light, right right, right.
- 17:25Speaker 5: Then we went into the Jonahs Brothers Christmas Movie and
- 17:28Speaker 5: it was great, actually really good. And now we're about
- 17:33Speaker 5: to start Landman, oh.
- 17:36Speaker 4: The yellowst Is that a Yellowstone series?
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:38Speaker 5: And we didn't like Yellowstone.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I'm a little bit interesting.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm a little.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Concerned to start.
- 17:43Speaker 5: But everybody's recommending it. Yeah, no, keeps recommending it now
- 17:50Speaker 5: exactly you who what have you been watching?
- 17:54Speaker 2: I just kind of sit on the couch and like
- 17:55Speaker 2: scroll while Hailehy watches stuff, watch anything.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I don't really really just lay and have I not
- 18:02Speaker 4: said I love to lay.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Wow, I can't just lay and do nothing.
- 18:06Speaker 4: High squirrel.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I'm watching my squirrels, my doom squirrels.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I didn't watch the Call Her Daddy episode of Whitney
- 18:30Speaker 2: Love It, but I watched the dance performance, which was
- 18:34Speaker 2: pretty spectacular. But I also go, like, I wonder if
- 18:37Speaker 2: every because Dancing with the Stars. What's so cool about
- 18:40Speaker 2: it is that it is live, so like if they
- 18:42Speaker 2: mess up for something, there's no redo, and there's looked amazing.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Mark and Whitney's because it was pre taped, well pre
- 18:49Speaker 2: taped and edited in different. You know, there was a
- 18:52Speaker 2: lot going on, but it was amazing and I just.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Saw she got the lead role of Roxy on Chicago
- 19:00Speaker 4: on Broadway.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 19:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't realize. Like I had to text Becca
- 19:05Speaker 5: because I was like, I don't understand why is this
- 19:07Speaker 5: such a big deal that they're doing a freestyle dance
- 19:09Speaker 5: on Call her Daddy? But now Becca has informed me
- 19:13Speaker 5: why it was such a big deal.
- 19:14Speaker 8: And the fact that Dancing with the Stars was like
- 19:16Speaker 8: part of it, I thought was interesting because I thought
- 19:18Speaker 8: it was just gonna be like Whitney coming on to
- 19:19Speaker 8: like redeem herself and go and call her daddy. But
- 19:21Speaker 8: like it was like a sanctioned I mean, it wasn't
- 19:23Speaker 8: like part of the competition, but like right, Dancing with
- 19:25Speaker 8: the Stars was like.
- 19:26Speaker 7: All in on it. They were promoting it, they agreed
- 19:28Speaker 7: to it.
- 19:28Speaker 4: I thought that was cool.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Yeah, they're smart.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Interesting. Yeah, it was smart.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And it's funny because every time every season on Into
- 19:36Speaker 2: the Stars people.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Get kicked off early that people riot.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Against you know, yeah, but this one did feel like
- 19:43Speaker 2: bigger and different. Yeah.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Was it just because of the Mormon wives lore of
- 19:47Speaker 4: it all?
- 19:47Speaker 8: I think it was the Mormon wives lore and also
- 19:52Speaker 8: my personal theory. I don't know if you guys saw this,
- 19:53Speaker 8: but like she and Mark were doing this like giveaway
- 19:56Speaker 8: for tickets to a taping, and they posted on TikTok
- 19:59Speaker 8: and like we're gonna pick one lucky fan to come
- 20:01Speaker 8: to a taping, and like you're not allowed to do that,
- 20:03Speaker 8: and so they took it down like a couple hours
- 20:05Speaker 8: later and then put a video saying, hey, sorry, so
- 20:08Speaker 8: it turns out actually we.
- 20:09Speaker 7: Can't really give away a ticket, but.
- 20:10Speaker 4: You should still still vote for it on the wrist.
- 20:14Speaker 7: Yeah, it seemed like they were like bribing people for votes.
- 20:17Speaker 7: That what it felt like.
- 20:18Speaker 8: And so the next week after that happened because they
- 20:21Speaker 8: do like the bottom three, but it's not really the
- 20:23Speaker 8: bottom three, and it was like Mark and Whitney and
- 20:26Speaker 8: the bottom two. So like everyone thought, like the producers
- 20:29Speaker 8: were like, you want to try and give away.
- 20:31Speaker 7: Tickets, We're gonna we're gonna make you feel like you're
- 20:32Speaker 7: getting kicked off right now.
- 20:34Speaker 5: Day dang, And people think.
- 20:36Speaker 7: That had to do with them getting eliminated before the finals.
- 20:41Speaker 4: We cut the throat.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I know, I saw this guttle bit about Whitney Carson's
- 20:44Speaker 5: like leaked text message or whatever, and I was like,
- 20:48Speaker 5: all I saw was going, I see Whitney Carson.
- 20:50Speaker 4: Slammed and all the stuff.
- 20:52Speaker 5: So I was like, I want to see what she said.
- 20:54Speaker 5: So I clicked the article clickbait. I'm like, this is
- 20:56Speaker 5: literally nothing she said. Yeah, zach Affron's there because they
- 20:59Speaker 5: want votes.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Obviously we need to start putting some crazy teas tea's.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Headlines on ours, like Tanya, but just some clickbait because
- 21:16Speaker 4: it made it look so much worse.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Like Whitney Carson slams and then it's like she just like, yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 2: they're trying to get votes.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, and it works.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Are we all like?
- 21:25Speaker 5: If I had a zach Efron, I'd just love him
- 21:27Speaker 5: out there too.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I'd be like, wait until I really need you. If
- 21:30Speaker 2: you're only coming to one show.
- 21:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going to bring out the big guns.
- 21:34Speaker 2: She didn't say anything wrong, no, no, but we are
- 21:39Speaker 2: very happy for our girl, Whitney Carson. Yeah, Mirror Ball champ,
- 21:44Speaker 2: which is so funny because in my mind I feel
- 21:46Speaker 2: like Whitney's won the Mirrorball so many times.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Her second one, I know, I think she always.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Makes it so far that it feels like she's right there.
- 21:55Speaker 9: Yeah, but so happy for her and Roberts And did
- 22:01Speaker 9: you want to hear about Cambridge's Dictionary Words of the Year.
- 22:06Speaker 4: It has to do a tailor and Travis.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Maybe we can hear that on Thursday.
- 22:10Speaker 8: Oh oh my god, so many.
- 22:19Speaker 4: You can hear this. That's crazy, not even fair. No,
- 22:25Speaker 4: I'm not going to make the white for that.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:27Speaker 4: The word is parasocial.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Yes, I already knew the answer spoiler alert.
- 22:33Speaker 4: And it was the rise in attention was linked to
- 22:37Speaker 4: Taylor Slift in Travis Kelsey's engagement because of the strong
- 22:40Speaker 4: emotional reaction. Yeah, which is very parasocial.
- 22:45Speaker 5: It is pretty crazy.
- 22:47Speaker 4: I mean our world is parasocial though, totally.
- 22:50Speaker 3: People that I know that, like I haven't seen since Like.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Yeah, we know what they're doing.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I know what you're doing.
- 22:56Speaker 5: I know what your kids look like, I know where
- 22:57Speaker 5: you went to dinner last night, I know what you ate.
- 23:00Speaker 4: WHOA And they didn't even post it.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I have them on fine mine.
- 23:06Speaker 5: No.
- 23:06Speaker 2: It is crazy though, because there was I know we've
- 23:08Speaker 2: talked about this before, but there was that like excitement
- 23:13Speaker 2: you had seeing your favorite celebrities doing something in magazines
- 23:16Speaker 2: and paparazzi shots, and then now it's like we know
- 23:19Speaker 2: everything about everybody, and it's like when you know so
- 23:23Speaker 2: much about people, it's natural as a human to have
- 23:26Speaker 2: this like parasocial dynamic.
- 23:27Speaker 4: But people take it really far on the internet. I
- 23:31Speaker 4: mean literally, I think.
- 23:32Speaker 2: About all this, even all this stuff with Dancing with
- 23:35Speaker 2: the Stars, it became so like fans of the person
- 23:39Speaker 2: that didn't win becoming I do.
- 23:42Speaker 5: This myself, Like I there's a girl people, I'm like,
- 23:46Speaker 5: oh no, no, there's a girl I follow. Her name's Maye.
- 23:49Speaker 5: She's a stylist and I just follow her on Instagram.
- 23:51Speaker 5: I never met her, and I started walking down the
- 23:53Speaker 5: street one day and I just roll up to her like, hey,
- 23:56Speaker 5: may have a full blown conversation with her, because but
- 24:01Speaker 5: I prefaced it with what you never meant, no, nonta.
- 24:03Speaker 5: I went up to her, was randomly on the street
- 24:06Speaker 5: and I was like, hey, I follow you and I
- 24:10Speaker 5: really relate to a lot of your story. And then
- 24:11Speaker 5: we talked on the corner for like twenty minutes.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Well that's like not parasocial, because.
- 24:17Speaker 5: It is because it was totally one sided. She had
- 24:19Speaker 5: no idea who I was.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but you made a connection irl, like if people
- 24:24Speaker 2: made a connection in real life.
- 24:26Speaker 5: I know, but previous to my encounter with her, but I've.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Never known her, you were like tru.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I'm saying, yeah, sure you had a parasocial friendship with her.
- 24:35Speaker 4: That was one scited. But I'm talking about the parasocial
- 24:38Speaker 4: of like this emotional attachment of trolling and having really
- 24:43Speaker 4: big feelings about something you see like two percent of
- 24:49Speaker 4: someone's life.
- 24:50Speaker 6: You know.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Like when May said I couldn't wear a certain thing,
- 24:52Speaker 5: I got like really sad about it because.
- 24:54Speaker 4: What was it?
- 24:55Speaker 5: I don't remember, you know what.
- 24:57Speaker 4: I got kind of sad about what.
- 24:59Speaker 2: One time someone was like if you have a long
- 25:03Speaker 2: denim skirt, like what are you doing? And I was
- 25:08Speaker 2: cleaning up my closet the other day and I found
- 25:10Speaker 2: I found my long denim skirt, and I thought, do
- 25:14Speaker 2: I need this?
- 25:16Speaker 5: No?
- 25:16Speaker 4: I got rid of it.
- 25:17Speaker 5: You know what I'd love I would love to go
- 25:19Speaker 5: through your closet.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Why.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I feel you have a lot.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Of gems in there, Gems like bad like like old,
- 25:26Speaker 5: like nostalgic things that'll bring me back. I don't pedal pushers.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And.
- 25:32Speaker 5: I don't pusher, yeah, like the capri huh, I don't
- 25:35Speaker 5: have those.
- 25:36Speaker 3: You don't know.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Have you ever seen me wear pedal pushers?
- 25:40Speaker 5: No, but I feel like you might have back in
- 25:42Speaker 5: the day, Like what do you have?
- 25:43Speaker 4: You think I saved clothes from when I was like thirteen.
- 25:45Speaker 5: When did you get this denim skirt, this long denim skirt.
- 25:48Speaker 4: I got it from Reformation, like a couple of years ago.
- 25:52Speaker 4: It's like your own denim dress that you have.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Dress is good, it's stylish, it's.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Basically it's basically that without the top.
- 26:03Speaker 5: Had skirt is not dress, and a dress is not
- 26:08Speaker 5: a denim skirt.
- 26:09Speaker 2: So what if I wore denim top with my denim
- 26:11Speaker 2: skirt it looked the exact same as your denim dress,
- 26:13Speaker 2: it would not. She shifted in her seat when I
- 26:17Speaker 2: called her it's being given away, and it was. It
- 26:23Speaker 2: was a little funky. It was kind of like I
- 26:26Speaker 2: was feeling a little flair. It has like a mermaid bottom.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Oh all right.
- 26:34Speaker 2: On that note, we do have to go because we
- 26:36Speaker 2: have to get to Thursday's episode.
- 26:38Speaker 4: But we love you all so much.
- 26:40Speaker 2: We love you, and we'll be back on Thursday with
- 26:43Speaker 2: just some good old laughter, fun and cheer, and we
- 26:47Speaker 2: can't wait for that moment.
- 26:48Speaker 4: So have a wonderful week.
- 26:50Speaker 5: Holidays are near.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Yeah, enjoy your week back from you know, I know
- 26:54Speaker 4: a lot of people had a long weekend. If you
- 26:55Speaker 4: didn't have a long weekend, then enjoy your week.
- 26:58Speaker 2: But if you okay, are you?
- 27:01Speaker 5: Are you gardened?
- 27:04Speaker 2: I wish, but have a great week okay. So I
- 27:08Speaker 2: love
