- 1:53Speaker 5: if you're a parent and you are driving in your
- 1:55Speaker 5: car with your kid right now, you may want to
- 1:57Speaker 5: turn the radio down so your.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Kid doesn't hear it.
- 2:00Speaker 5: But she's saying there's a pumpkin decoration called Jabber and

- 2:12Speaker 2: We'll be wicked.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Okay, we're done.
- 2:22Speaker 2: That's all I needed to hear. Don't buy Jabber and

- 2:27Speaker 1: What the hell? Super easy trivia with the Alabama Show.
- 2:33Speaker 5: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Charlene, good morning. What are you doing right now?
- 2:38Speaker 6: I am on my way to work.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Where do you work? What do you do?

- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh, awesome. Thanks for what you do. What town are
- 2:48Speaker 2: you in right now? Right now I'm in Empire.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:52Speaker 2: How's traffic?
- 2:53Speaker 6: Well, I just left my house, so not bad. I
- 2:55Speaker 6: hadn't hit the interstate yet.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Okay. Live from the streets. Thank you for letting us
- 3:00Speaker 2: know that.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Okay, Charlene, you want to play super easy trivia for
- 3:03Speaker 5: these tickets to Rock the South?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 3:06Speaker 5: All right, let's set you up. I'll ask the questions.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Producer Blake is your lifeline if you need him. Here
- 3:11Speaker 5: is question number one, Charlene. How many letters are in
- 3:15Speaker 5: the alphabet?
- 3:16Speaker 1: 26.
- 3:17Speaker 6: And a girl.
- 3:19Speaker 2: That's it. Next one.
- 3:21Speaker 5: In military time, what time is 2200? That would.
- 3:27Speaker 6: Be 10 p.m.
- 3:28Speaker 4: 10 p.m.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Is it.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Good, good, good, good, good.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And the last one for the win. Charlene, can you
- 3:34Speaker 2: tell me all the colors in the rainbow?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Oh, gosh.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Remember Roy G.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Biv.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Come on, Red. Let's see.
- 3:47Speaker 4: I'm going to use producer Blake as my last line
- 3:49Speaker 4: on this one.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Okay, Blake. Why me on this one?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Good job, buddy.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Blake for all the hard questions and Charlene congratulations you're
- 4:11Speaker 5: going to rock the south awesome.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Thank you so much it's three things you need to
- 4:16Speaker 1: know with the.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Alabama show Governor Kay Ivey approved the state's first workforce
- 4:22Speaker 5: Pell Grant program earlier this week it's the line worker
- 4:26Speaker 5: training program at Lawson State Community College in Birmingham so
- 4:30Speaker 5: Lawson State partnered with Alabama Power and they're going to
- 4:33Speaker 5: train students using hands-on preparation for careers.
- 4:36Speaker 2: In in the utility industry.
- 4:38Speaker 5: So if you know somebody interested in that, that was
- 4:41Speaker 5: just approved and it's going on at Lawson State Community College.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Justin Bieber and Harry Styles are reportedly at the top
- 4:49Speaker 5: of the list for the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Sources say they are high on Roc Nation's short list, which.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Is Jay-Z and his company.
- 4:57Speaker 5: They have partnered with the NFL and have been in
- 4:59Speaker 5: charge with who's been picking the artist over the last
- 5:01Speaker 5: several years. Justin and Harry are both unlikely to take
- 5:05Speaker 5: the gig if they are approached according to the sources,
- 5:08Speaker 5: but they have not been approached to do the show yet.
- 5:10Speaker 5: And the Super Bowl is scheduled for Valentine's Day this year.
- 5:14Speaker 5: in Englewood, California. I say this year, but next year, 2027.
- 5:19Speaker 5: People are weirded out that Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise
- 5:21Speaker 5: are friends.
- 5:22Speaker 3: I mean, it is an odd duo.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Because he was sitting at the first game of the
- 5:26Speaker 5: season for Travis Kelty and the Kansas City Chiefs sitting
- 5:29Speaker 5: right next to Taylor Swift cheering Travis Kelty on.
- 5:33Speaker 2: And people were like, hold up, what?
- 5:34Speaker 5: He was at their wedding and now people have been
- 5:37Speaker 5: digging into like, when did they become friends?
- 5:40Speaker 2: What is happening?
- 5:41Speaker 5: Apparently, Tom Cruise is a Swifty. And he went to
- 5:45Speaker 5: Taylor Swift's Eros tour in 2024 and was hanging out
- 5:49Speaker 5: with other A-listers in the VIP tent like Ashton Kutcher
- 5:53Speaker 5: and Mila Kunis. And Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise have
- 5:55Speaker 5: been friends ever since.
- 5:56Speaker 3: That's crazy. I would have not suspected them two out
- 5:59Speaker 3: of everybody.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I wonder if he's going to try to get her
- 6:01Speaker 2: to join Scientology.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I've seen the memes. I believe that is a possibility.
- 6:07Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Anyway, that's three things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 6:13Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Good morning, Larissa. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 6:20Speaker 6: Am I wrong for telling a friend why we didn't
- 6:22Speaker 6: invite her out anymore?
- 6:23Speaker 2: That's why we do Ask Alabama.
- 6:24Speaker 9: If you ever have an issue, especially if it's with friends, family,
- 6:27Speaker 9: or coworkers, we are here to help. 833-501-BAMA is the
- 6:32Speaker 9: number to call the show. Why did you tell a
- 6:34Speaker 9: friend that y'all don't invite her out anymore?
- 6:36Speaker 2: What's going on? Okay.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Okay.
- 6:54Speaker 6: She just talks through the whole thing. Like she would
- 6:56Speaker 6: ask us trivia about the actor. She would tell us
- 6:59Speaker 6: the plot twist and like, you know, just things that
- 7:02Speaker 6: could happen. Just like nonsense or like, you know, maybe
- 7:04Speaker 6: even a spoiler.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Sounds like producer Blight. Okay, easy.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Then we actually went to the movie theater to see
- 7:12Speaker 6: something like Weeks. and i kid you not she kept
- 7:16Speaker 6: whispering to me the whole movie like the whole time
- 7:19Speaker 6: she had something to say it was yeah it was
- 7:21Speaker 6: annoying um and then there's another time one of my
- 7:25Speaker 6: friends she had tickets um for a musical and we
- 7:28Speaker 6: all agreed that we weren't we're gonna invite this.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Girl oh yeah because musicals are not cheap i would
- 7:33Speaker 5: have been mad if somebody talked through the whole yeah
- 7:36Speaker 5: okay Or the people around us.
- 7:38Speaker 6: It's also embarrassing, too.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Like, it's not just us. It's people around us. So
- 7:41Speaker 2: y'all went to that musical without her?
- 7:44Speaker 6: Yeah, so we went to the musical, had an amazing time.
- 7:47Speaker 6: Then we had another movie night. Didn't invite her then either.
- 7:51Speaker 6: But then we went out, we invited her.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Yeah. Okay.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:16Speaker 6: And honestly, I was blunt about it. And I said straight,
- 8:18Speaker 6: straight up.
- 8:19Speaker 7: I was like, you know, you won't shut up when
- 8:22Speaker 7: we're watching. Well, she got offended, you know, and so
- 8:28Speaker 7: she started texting the friend group.
- 8:30Speaker 6: And so now the whole group's like. Call the show.
- 8:32Speaker 6: 833-501-BEMA is the number. Do you have a friend that's
- 8:34Speaker 6: like this that y'all have to like exclude?
- 8:51Speaker 5: From certain things because they have bad habits. And if
- 8:54Speaker 5: his name is Producer Blake, tell me what he did.
- 8:56Speaker 3: 833-501-PAMA is the number.
- 8:56Speaker 1: That's 833-501-2262.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You are listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 9:05Speaker 5: If you have an annoying friend that you don't invite
- 9:08Speaker 5: out because they get on your nerves, call the show
- 9:12Speaker 5: and tell me who it is and what they do.
- 9:14Speaker 5: 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Andrew, good morning. Are you the friend that doesn't get
- 9:18Speaker 2: invited to things? I am.
- 9:21Speaker 6: I am.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I wonder why.
- 9:23Speaker 4: I have just bad tendencies, bad habits, and my friends
- 9:28Speaker 4: are like, whoa, easy.
- 9:30Speaker 2: So what happened? What was the last thing they told
- 9:32Speaker 2: you you couldn't come to?
- 9:33Speaker 4: A wedding. I got kicked out of the wedding.
- 9:37Speaker 2: You made it to it, and then they made you leave?
- 9:40Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. I thought they were joking the night before.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I still showed up.
- 9:44Speaker 2: What'd you do? What'd you do?
- 9:48Speaker 4: I got trashed and totally destroyed half a restaurant.
- 9:52Speaker 5: Andrew!
- 9:52Speaker 2: And I told the truth.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I told my friend's secret to his future.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Wife and everybody got mad.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Well, alright. I love you. You're not invited to any
- 10:05Speaker 2: of my hangouts.
- 10:07Speaker 4: I'll dance to your wedding.
- 10:11Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show. The following program is
- 10:15Speaker 1: on demand.
- 10:15Speaker 5: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Good morning. Who's this?
- 10:20Speaker 6: This is Kelly from Cenotavia, Mississippi.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Kelly, good morning. How are you doing?
- 10:26Speaker 8: I'm doing great. How are you? Good.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Do you have an annoying friend you want to complain about?
- 10:31Speaker 8: Well, I didn't want to really complain about her because
- 10:34Speaker 8: when we were growing up, she would flirt with everybody,
- 10:37Speaker 8: including our fathers. And we ended up talking with, like, friends,
- 10:41Speaker 8: and I'm like, does she flirt with your father? And
- 10:43Speaker 8: they said, yes. Well, now she's grown up, and she's, like,
- 10:46Speaker 8: one of the best car salesmen ever in, like, high-dollar cars.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Yeah, because she's flirting with all the fathers and making
- 10:53Speaker 5: them buy the cars.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Yes.
- 10:56Speaker 8: And so I just realized, and as we're growing up,
- 10:59Speaker 8: it was a benefit because then she would start flirting
- 11:01Speaker 8: and we'd get stuff for free.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Did she end up dating any of y'all's dads when
- 11:06Speaker 5: y'all were of age?
- 11:07Speaker 8: No, and that's the thing is that we realized it
- 11:09Speaker 8: was her personality.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:11Speaker 8: And once we started growing up, we were like, this
- 11:15Speaker 8: is annoying. And then all of a sudden we were like,
- 11:17Speaker 8: this is pretty cool. We're getting free stuff. And she
- 11:20Speaker 8: never would carry it past a certain point. But I
- 11:22Speaker 8: was like, this is just her personality. This is amazing.
- 11:25Speaker 2: So have you started flirting now to get the things
- 11:28Speaker 2: that you want?
- 11:29Speaker 8: I just don't have that personality.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Okay.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Well, thank you for calling. That's a great story. I
- 11:34Speaker 2: love that. Thank you for sharing.
- 11:35Speaker 8: All right.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Bye.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Birmingham just approved an $ 82 million hotel near Railroad Park
- 11:45Speaker 5: with a restaurant and retail development.
- 11:47Speaker 2: The hotel is.
- 11:48Speaker 5: Going to have 140 rooms, 2,000 square foot of meeting rooms,
- 11:52Speaker 5: a ballroom, and so much more. They just approved it,
- 11:55Speaker 5: so it'll be a few years before it's built, but
- 11:57Speaker 5: that'll be awesome. Spotify will now let parents exclude kids
- 12:01Speaker 5: from their their music, from their recommendation. It's a new
- 12:05Speaker 5: feature that allows you to turn off the setting that
- 12:07Speaker 5: includes kids music. So it won't pop up in your
- 12:09Speaker 5: personal recommendations anymore. And it works retroactively if you flip
- 12:13Speaker 5: the switch. So if you've already listened to Baby Shark
- 12:15Speaker 5: a million times, it's going to take it off your
- 12:16Speaker 5: list and you won't have to listen to it again.
- 12:19Speaker 5: The Emmy Awards could move to Prime Video in a
- 12:22Speaker 5: historic streaming deal. The Television Academy is in talks right
- 12:26Speaker 5: now with Prime Video, and if it gets finalized, it
- 12:29Speaker 5: would mark the first time in Emmy history that the
- 12:32Speaker 5: telecast does not air on broadcast television.
- 12:35Speaker 3: That's a wild twist. I've never heard of this, anything
- 12:37Speaker 3: like that.
- 12:37Speaker 5: The move would make the Emmys the second major award
- 12:40Speaker 5: show leaving network TV following the Oscars, who announced they
- 12:44Speaker 5: are moving to YouTube starting in 2029.
- 12:47Speaker 3: That's a lot of new stuff coming around.
- 12:49Speaker 5: More people are streaming, so it makes sense. That's three
- 12:53Speaker 5: things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 12:57Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 13:02Speaker 2: 833-501-BEMA is the number to call the show. Monique, good morning.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Do you have good news?
- 13:06Speaker 6: Yes, so I actually have two pieces of good news today.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Give them all to me.
- 13:11Speaker 6: All right, so first today is my daughter's 12th birthday.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 13:17Speaker 6: And then the second piece of good news I have
- 13:20Speaker 6: is my son, who's been in the hospital since December 2024,
- 13:23Speaker 6: he got released on Monday.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yes. That is huge news.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Why can I ask, why has he been in the
- 13:31Speaker 5: hospital so long?
- 13:33Speaker 6: So I had him at 24 weeks.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:36Speaker 6: And he's like a nano preemie.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 6: And he just, you know, he had to go through
- 13:42Speaker 6: the rough of it before he could be released.
- 13:45Speaker 5: What a miracle though. That is like, that's amazing.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I mean, what's the first thing you did? Is he
- 13:55Speaker 2: home already or he's about to be released? What's the
- 14:00Speaker 2: first thing that you did when you brought him home?
- 14:03Speaker 6: Oh my God.
- 14:04Speaker 1: What did he do?
- 14:05Speaker 2: What was his face like?
- 14:06Speaker 6: How did he react?
- 14:16Speaker 8: His face was scrunched up most of the time.
- 14:18Speaker 6: Like, what is this?
- 14:19Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but he'll get, I can't even imagine. So how
- 14:24Speaker 2: old is he now?
- 14:26Speaker 6: He'll be two in December.
- 14:28Speaker 8: So he spent over a year and a half in
- 14:30Speaker 8: the hospital.
- 14:31Speaker 5: What an incredible story.
- 14:33Speaker 2: What hospital was he at? Children's?
- 14:35Speaker 6: Yeah, so he was in Huntsville from December 2024 to
- 14:38Speaker 6: September 2025. And then he got sent to Birmingham.
- 14:43Speaker 5: Man, that is an incredible story. I'm so happy for you.
- 14:47Speaker 5: And thank you so much for calling the show and
- 14:49Speaker 5: for sharing.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 14:53Speaker 2: A freaking stranger saw me in my underwear yesterday.
- 14:56Speaker 1: What?
- 14:57Speaker 2: How? That's what I asked. Thanks for listening to The
- 15:02Speaker 2: Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with producer Blake. Yesterday.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I get home. I live in the middle of nowhere, right?
- 15:09Speaker 3: Correct.
- 15:10Speaker 2: You've been to my house. It's very private. It's not
- 15:12Speaker 2: on the street.
- 15:13Speaker 7: It's up.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yes, it's behind some woods.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Yes.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't even see my house from the street.
- 15:18Speaker 2: So I get home. I take my pants off.
- 15:20Speaker 3: As one does, of course.
- 15:22Speaker 7: Yes.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I'm walking around in.
- 15:23Speaker 5: A T-shirt, my underwear, editing videos, doing some work, getting
- 15:27Speaker 5: stuff done.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Right.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Living my best life, walking around with no pants.
- 15:32Speaker 3: That is the best life.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You're right.
- 15:33Speaker 2: A freaking... I get a call. I'm on a very
- 15:37Speaker 2: important call.
- 15:38Speaker 5: My dogs start barking, so I look out the window,
- 15:41Speaker 5: and I'm like, okay, it's a delivery driver. It's got
- 15:45Speaker 5: to be like Amazon or somebody dropping something off because
- 15:48Speaker 5: it's a regular car, and sometimes Amazon delivers in regular.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Cars, and my mail lady delivers in her personal car.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 2: So I was like, it's a delivery person.
- 15:57Speaker 5: So I keep walking around in my underwear like all
- 16:00Speaker 5: is good because they're just going to throw the packages
