- 0:02Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:03Huddle for January 1st, 2026.
- 0:07A two-minute call from God's playbook to
- 0:09know him better so we can love and obey
- 0:11God more. Let's hear today's play from
- 0:14Isaiah 1, which says, "Hear heaven,
- 0:16listen, earth, for Adoni is speaking. I
- 0:20raised and brought up children, but they
- 0:23rebelled against me. An ox knows its
- 0:26owner, a donkey its master stall. But
- 0:29Israel does not know. My people do not
- 0:31reflect. Oh sinful nation, a people
- 0:34weighed down by iniquity, descendants of
- 0:37evildoers, immoral children. They've
- 0:40abandoned Adoni, spurned the Holy One of
- 0:44Israel, turn their backs on him. Wash
- 0:47yourselves clean. Get your evil deeds
- 0:50out of my sight. Stop doing evil and
- 0:53learn to do good. Seek justice. Relieve
- 0:56the oppressed. Defend orphans. Plead for
- 1:00the widow. God is talking to his own
- 1:02people here. Not the pagans. Not the
- 1:05nations that don't know him. His
- 1:07children. The ones who carry his name
- 1:10but have turned their backs on his ways.
- 1:12That's a mirror for us. In America, the
- 1:15story often starts with pilgrims seeking
- 1:17freedom to worship God without
- 1:19government control. building churches,
- 1:22shaping a culture where honoring God was
- 1:24normal. Over time, we've sent money and
- 1:27missionaries around the world to preach
- 1:29the gospel and serve the suffering. But
- 1:32today, our public life tells a different
- 1:34story. Corruption, scandal, injustice,
- 1:37and immorality fill our headlines. God's
- 1:41standards are mocked. Christian ethics
- 1:43are pushed out of the public square. And
- 1:46many leaders across politics, business,
- 1:49education, and media live as if God
- 1:52doesn't matter at all. And here's the
- 1:54truth that it's not just a world
- 1:56problem. It's a church problem. Large
- 1:59parts of the church have chosen comfort
- 2:01over conviction, compromise over
- 2:04courage. Instead of calling the culture
- 2:06to obey Jesus, we've blended into the
- 2:09culture and softened his commands. We
- 2:12say we belong to God, but we often live
- 2:14as if he's an option. In Isaiah, God
- 2:17doesn't start by telling the world to
- 2:19change. He tells his people, "Wash
- 2:22yourselves clean. Stop doing evil. Learn
- 2:25to do good." God is calling us back to
- 2:28obedience, not opinion. So, brother,
- 2:31let's run today's play. First, repent
- 2:34personally. Ask God where you've turned
- 2:37your back upon him. It's is it in your
- 2:39habits, your entertainment, your
- 2:41bitterness, your compromise at work,
- 2:44your passivity at home? Name it. Confess
- 2:46it. Don't excuse it. Second, practice
- 2:50costly obedience. Do not consecrate
- 2:53things today that reflect that don't
- 2:55reflect God's heart. Make something
- 2:57right when something where something
- 2:59you've wronged. Encourage or help
- 3:01someone who's vulnerable or overlooked.
- 3:04Lead your family in prayer and scripture
- 3:06instead of scrolling or zoning out.
- 3:08Speak truth where you've been silent.
- 3:10Third, live what you believe. Don't just
- 3:13complain about where the country's
- 3:14headed. Be a man who actually loves God
- 3:17with all of his heart, soul, mind, and
- 3:19strength, and loves his neighbor as
- 3:21himself. Starting in your own home, your
- 3:24own church, and your own neighborhood.
- 3:26God is still speaking to his people. My
- 3:28people do not reflect. The question is,
- 3:31will we start reflecting him again? If
- 3:34this huddle helps you know God better so
- 3:36you can love and obey him more, then
- 3:38leave a quick review and share it with a
- 3:40friend and that helps other men find the
- 3:42huddle. God one.
