- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven to TENO.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Well, it's Monday, it's spring outside. An early spring has
- 0:13Speaker 2: shown up. Daylight saving Simon light out till about seven o'clock,
- 0:17Speaker 2: first day of daylight saving time. A spectacular sunset last night.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Lots to get to today. The war is in day ten.
- 0:25Speaker 2: How much is this costing us? We'll get to that.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We'll get to oil prices. We'll get to a terrorist
- 0:31Speaker 2: attack attempted here in New York City. We'll get to
- 0:35Speaker 2: a crazy mom, Donnie. We'll get to his even his
- 0:41Speaker 2: wife's awful, awful social media history, and a whole lot
- 0:46Speaker 2: more coming up. So it is day ten of the war.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Democrats have no idea how to attack Trump on this.
- 0:52Speaker 2: They don't know what to do. They keep trying to
- 0:55Speaker 2: go after among this and it's driving them crazy on
- 1:00Speaker 2: and just how to do that. So they're just trying
- 1:03Speaker 2: anything and everything. Yesterday was the Saturday was the Dignified
- 1:08Speaker 2: Transfer where they brought back the bodies of the six
- 1:11Speaker 2: who were killed in the Iranian War, and they came
- 1:15Speaker 2: back to Dover Air Force Base. The president there, you remember,
- 1:18Speaker 2: Joe Biden, was just awful at a dignified transfer, looking
- 1:23Speaker 2: at his watch, bored out of his mind, right in
- 1:25Speaker 2: front of the families of these fallen heroes. Right in
- 1:28Speaker 2: front of the families, he's looking at his watch as
- 1:30Speaker 2: if he wants to go. So they had to go
- 1:32Speaker 2: after President Trump somehow. They went after him for wearing
- 1:35Speaker 2: a hat. He's wearing a USA hat. And this was
- 1:40Speaker 2: the attack line for a day and a half. It
- 1:41Speaker 2: didn't stick. It's not working. How dare he wear a
- 1:44Speaker 2: campaign hat? It's not a campaign hat. It's a hat
- 1:47Speaker 2: that says USA. It's not the red make America great.
- 1:52Speaker 2: It's a USA hat. And you hear that echo in there? Yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 2: what is that? I don't know what that is. I
- 2:00Speaker 2: don't know. I mean, yeah, somehow I'm echoing around let
- 2:03Speaker 2: me see. No, I think I don't know if it's
- 2:06Speaker 2: muting those speakers completely. I think it might be something
- 2:09Speaker 2: like that. So where was he's wearing the hat? But
- 2:13Speaker 2: if you check my Twitter, you'll see that half the
- 2:16Speaker 2: people there were wearing hats. The pall bearers were wearing hats.
- 2:19Speaker 2: There were military guys, but they're wearing berets. And behind
- 2:23Speaker 2: Trump you'll see a lot of people wearing hats. They're
- 2:25Speaker 2: military people, but there's no rule anywhere about take your
- 2:29Speaker 2: hat off. Otherwise the military people, the pall bearers would
- 2:32Speaker 2: have removed their hats. So that attack didn't work. Now
- 2:35Speaker 2: they're going to try to go after Trump on the
- 2:37Speaker 2: cost of the war. Hey, you hear that echoing. Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 2: so this will be that you'll hear this for a
- 2:45Speaker 2: couple of days. This is money that could be spent
- 2:48Speaker 2: at home. War costs about a billion dollars a day,
- 2:51Speaker 2: where at day ten it's going to be about ten
- 2:53Speaker 2: billion dollars by the end of the day. That's half
- 2:56Speaker 2: of the Somali fraud in Minnesota. Government waste billions of
- 3:00Speaker 2: dollars all the time, and this is not wasted. This
- 3:02Speaker 2: is going to buy us a lot of peace and
- 3:05Speaker 2: safety in the coming years. Yeah, here, definitely need more. Yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 2: it's like i'm it's like i'm a It sounds like
- 3:19Speaker 2: WABC in the sixties with the echo, with the with
- 3:21Speaker 2: the reverb. So day ten of the war. But oil
- 3:26Speaker 2: prices are up. This is the other line of attack.
- 3:28Speaker 2: You know, he said, this is killing people. The oil
- 3:30Speaker 2: prices with well oil has hit one hundred dollars in
- 3:33Speaker 2: some cases may be going over one hundred dollars and
- 3:37Speaker 2: that's not good. But it's just a spike. We were
- 3:39Speaker 2: talking about just a couple of weeks of this, and
- 3:45Speaker 2: all you got to do is open the straits of
- 3:48Speaker 2: her Moose, which will happen pretty soon, probably in the
- 3:52Speaker 2: next probably next week, they'll get it open. The Iranians
- 3:55Speaker 2: have threatened to go after any oil tanker that tries
- 3:58Speaker 2: to go through the straits of her Moose and deliver oil. Well,
- 4:01Speaker 2: I don't know what they're going to go after him with.
- 4:02Speaker 2: They lost their navy. They could try it with some
- 4:04Speaker 2: speedboats with some rifles, but that's not going to do much.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Opening the straits of Hormouse, they can do it when
- 4:11Speaker 2: they want to do it. They'll have a US Navy
- 4:13Speaker 2: escort ships through there. The real problem is not so
- 4:16Speaker 2: much the danger, it's the insurance. It's really Lloyd's of
- 4:21Speaker 2: London that's holding us up. That's who insures most of
- 4:23Speaker 2: these tankers, and they just don't want to move a
- 4:26Speaker 2: tanker without any insurance. Now. Also over the weekend and
- 4:32Speaker 2: Israel targeted the airport, the main Iranian airport, took it
- 4:36Speaker 2: out completely. And he's listen, I'm not an expert on
- 4:41Speaker 2: this stuff. But when eventually you want to evacuate a
- 4:44Speaker 2: lot of people, you might need that airport. But they
- 4:45Speaker 2: know what they're doing, so they took out the airport.
- 4:48Speaker 2: They also took out the Islamic Revolutionary Guard headquarters. You know,
- 4:52Speaker 2: you got the Iranian Army, then you got the Revolutionary Guard.
- 4:56Speaker 2: These are the really evil ones. These are Revolutionary Guard
- 4:59Speaker 2: was created to be above the army. Their main job
- 5:03Speaker 2: is to protect the borders and protect the government from
- 5:07Speaker 2: the army in case anything happens. But the Revolutionary Guard
- 5:11Speaker 2: over the years became the central hub for all the violence,
- 5:15Speaker 2: the slaughter of protesters, the real ugly stuff. So they're
- 5:19Speaker 2: trying to take out as many of them as they can.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Now apparently there's a little friction between the US and Israel.
- 5:27Speaker 2: We're upset with Israel because they struck an Iranian oil
- 5:32Speaker 2: storage site, causing massive fireballs into the sky that caused
- 5:37Speaker 2: black rain water saturated with oil, cover rooftops, cover streets,
- 5:42Speaker 2: screw up the air quality. This could cause a lot
- 5:44Speaker 2: of illness and problems there. So there it goes. That's
- 5:54Speaker 2: a real hum there. So it was Israel that did
- 5:58Speaker 2: that bombing. Now apparently apparently the US is mad at Israel.
- 6:02Speaker 2: There's a little bit of a fight there, but they'll
- 6:04Speaker 2: get it straightened out. So let's get to mayor a
- 6:08Speaker 2: mom Donnie, who is totally bungled, mishandled, completely screwed up.
- 6:14Speaker 2: What happened this weekend? There was an attempted terrorist attack
- 6:17Speaker 2: right outside Gracie Mansion just down the street. You had
- 6:22Speaker 2: a couple of nut job right wing types, a couple
- 6:25Speaker 2: of January sixth but real wacko fringe right wing nuts
- 6:32Speaker 2: who showed up and go to this mic. I can't
- 6:36Speaker 2: get it over here. But hang on a second. Let
- 6:42Speaker 2: me see. Hey, you know what if I talk over here,
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm fine. I just moved this mic over here. Now
- 6:48Speaker 2: what could that be we're trying it with. There's all
- 6:50Speaker 2: kinds of engineers here in the control room. Let me
- 6:53Speaker 2: disconnect this speaker here and shut it off and see
- 6:56Speaker 2: if that has anything to do with it. Yeah, I
- 6:58Speaker 2: think that's part of the problem. Might hang on, hang on,
- 7:01Speaker 2: we shut off this speaker. That's it. You see, that
- 7:05Speaker 2: fixed the problem. I just shut off the speakers here. Well,
- 7:08Speaker 2: you give me the thumbs up, But now you got
- 7:10Speaker 2: to figure out why if I opened the mic wasn't
- 7:14Speaker 2: muting those speakers. That's where the problem is. When I
- 7:17Speaker 2: opened the mic, it didn't mute any of these speakers.
- 7:19Speaker 2: So if we can figure it, we'll figure the whole
- 7:23Speaker 2: thing out. So yeah, oil prices will spike up over
- 7:27Speaker 2: one hundred bucks, but it's just gonna be weeks and
- 7:29Speaker 2: they'll they'll h at some point, probably later in the week.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Next week, they'll have a tanker come through the straits
- 7:36Speaker 2: of her moose. It'll have a naval escort. And if
- 7:39Speaker 2: they can't get the insurance that Lloyd's will London has
- 7:41Speaker 2: canceled the insurance, the US government will provide the insurance.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Once a tanker moves through, and then another tanker comes through,
- 7:47Speaker 2: oil prices will immediately plunge. Stock market will come way
- 7:51Speaker 2: back up. Getting back to Mom Donnie, So this Mom
- 7:54Speaker 2: Donnie again. You got crazy right wing nutjobs, a couple
- 8:01Speaker 2: of them, and then you got these left wing wacko
- 8:05Speaker 2: But these were really terrorist types. ISIS inspired terrorists with IEDs.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Remember those from Iraq, those bombs that were and they
- 8:14Speaker 2: used all sorts of chemicals that isis uses. This is
- 8:16Speaker 2: real ISIS train. Luckily, the heroes of the NYPD somehow
- 8:21Speaker 2: tackled these guys and stopped them. If those bombs had
- 8:26Speaker 2: gone off, you had seen some major, major, major, major
- 8:29Speaker 2: damage and death in that neighborhood. So they stopped them.
- 8:33Speaker 2: It's over.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Here's the problem. You got these horrible isis terrorist types
- 8:38Speaker 2: that were here. If it's if it goes to Alvin Bragg,
- 8:42Speaker 2: if you leave it up to Mom, Donnie and Alvin Bragg,
- 8:45Speaker 2: these guys will be released with a desk appearance ticket.
- 8:47Speaker 2: You know, as soon as Alvin Bragg finds out they
- 8:49Speaker 2: were anti Israel, anti Semitic terrorists, you think he's gonna
- 8:54Speaker 2: come down now. Now, the good news is it looks
- 8:57Speaker 2: like the Feds will take the case. It looks they'll
- 9:00Speaker 2: be charged federally, which means it goes to the US
- 9:03Speaker 2: Attorney Southern District. That's Jay Clayton, who's a great US attorney,
- 9:07Speaker 2: And it looks like they'll handle the case and then
- 9:10Speaker 2: these guys will end up in prison for a long
- 9:13Speaker 2: long time. Police Commissioner Jessica Tish, apparently it's a little
- 9:18Speaker 2: friction here. She quickly held a press commage. You gotta
- 9:21Speaker 2: have a press compage. You gotta explain to the public.
- 9:23Speaker 2: What's going on? Apparently mom downe not happy about that,
- 9:27Speaker 2: so he held one today. But this is the police commissioner.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yesterday, a counter protester identified as a mere Ballat, an
- 9:35Speaker 4: eighteen year old man lit and threw an ignited device
- 9:39Speaker 4: toward the protest area, landing in the crosswalk of East
- 9:44Speaker 4: eighty seventh Street and East End Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing
- 9:49Speaker 4: flames and smoke as it traveled through the air before
- 9:53Speaker 4: it struck a barrier and extinguished itself a few feet
- 9:57Speaker 4: from police officers.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Lot then ran southbound on East End Avenue toward eighty
- 10:04Speaker 4: sixth Street and gets a second device from a man
- 10:07Speaker 4: tentatively id'd as ibraheim Nick, nineteen years old. Mister Ballot
- 10:14Speaker 4: lights the device and starts running with it. He then
- 10:17Speaker 4: drops the device on the west side of East End
- 10:20Speaker 4: Avenue between East eighty six and East eighty seventh Streets.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Officers immediately secured the area and they took both men
- 10:29Speaker 4: into custody.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Well, I don't know what the mayor was so upset about.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Pretty much a standard police commissioner press cormage. You got
- 10:37Speaker 2: a horrible incident like this, you got to tell the
- 10:38Speaker 2: public exactly what happened and exactly what the status is
- 10:42Speaker 2: of everything. So that's what she's supposed to do. The
- 10:45Speaker 2: mayor did his own press conference today. You know, here's
- 10:49Speaker 2: the You got a lot of problems with this mayor.
- 10:51Speaker 2: But the other one is no experience at all. No experience.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Great campaigning, puts on the big smile, talks real fast
- 10:58Speaker 2: and sounds like he knows what he's talking about, but
- 11:00Speaker 2: when it comes to police work, when it comes to
- 11:02Speaker 2: running government, when it comes to actually managing anything, no
- 11:05Speaker 2: experience doesn't know what he's doing, a lot of flack
- 11:09Speaker 2: over his crazy wife. I think I can say crazy
- 11:11Speaker 2: now because if you saw on Twitter a posts about
- 11:15Speaker 2: the October seventh Holocaust that took place in Israel, the ugliest,
- 11:20Speaker 2: bloodiest attack, the most anti Semitic, vicious, vile attack on
- 11:25Speaker 2: October seventh, where people were raped, babies were killed, and slaught,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I mean pictures of that. Could you put a like
- 11:32Speaker 2: on that? Could you click like on a tweet like that? Well,
- 11:36Speaker 2: missus mom Donnie apparently clicked like on a few of
- 11:39Speaker 2: those kind of things. In fact, they're finding more and
- 11:42Speaker 2: more of that. I mean, that's as sick as you
- 11:45Speaker 2: can get. There's nothing sicker than clicking like on October
- 11:49Speaker 2: seventh and the slaughter that took place. I mean, it
- 11:52Speaker 2: was basically another Holocaust. It's like it's like Hitler posting
- 11:56Speaker 2: about the Holocaust and Auschwitz and you're clicking lo it.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I mean, that's basically what missus mom Donnie did. Horrible,
- 12:04Speaker 2: absolutely horrible. So he was asked about it.
- 12:08Speaker 6: I'd like to know what your reaction was to the
- 12:11Speaker 6: article in the Jewish Insider that was posted about your
- 12:15Speaker 6: wife's social media activity. And what I'm wondering is, you know,
- 12:19Speaker 6: you're an elected official, she is not. Is it anybody's business?
- 12:24Speaker 6: And is it fair to question.
- 12:26Speaker 2: You about it?
- 12:29Speaker 7: You know, my wife is the love of my life,
- 12:31Speaker 7: and she's also a private person who has held no
- 12:35Speaker 7: formal position on my campaign or in my city hall. I, however,
- 12:39Speaker 7: was elected to represent all eight and a half million
- 12:41Speaker 7: people in the city, and I believe that it's my responsibility,
- 12:44Speaker 7: because of that role, to answer any questions about my
- 12:47Speaker 7: thoughts and my policies and my decisions.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Now, he always does that. He talks fast like that,
- 12:50Speaker 2: and he sounds like very blah blah blah.
- 12:51Speaker 5: You know.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Meantime, what was the answer. She had no formal role
- 12:55Speaker 2: in the campaign. She doesn't work any What does that
- 12:57Speaker 2: have to do with anything. Your wife is clicking like
- 13:00Speaker 2: on the October seventh Holocaust. It's disgusting. May she may
- 13:04Speaker 2: have no role in the campaign, but she lives with
- 13:06Speaker 2: you and is talking into your ear all day and night.
- 13:09Speaker 2: You gotta have an answer for this. You still have
- 13:10Speaker 2: to explain why she would like something like that, What
- 13:13Speaker 2: is it? And she has to come forward and explain it.
- 13:16Speaker 7: My wife is the love of my life, and she's
- 13:18Speaker 7: also a private person who has held no formal position
- 13:22Speaker 7: on my campaign or in my city hall. I however,
- 13:26Speaker 7: was elected to represent all eight and a half million
- 13:28Speaker 7: people in the city, and I believe that it's my responsibility,
- 13:31Speaker 7: because of that role, to answer any questions about my
- 13:33Speaker 7: thoughts and my policies and my decisions.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So of course the first thought, well of his wife
- 13:37Speaker 2: feels like that, he must feel like that. Well, yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 2: remember let's go back to twenty twenty three when he's
- 13:43Speaker 2: in the street yelling that kind of stuff against Israel.
- 13:45Speaker 8: Who is right for policing and freedom?
- 13:50Speaker 1: Who is rightly at the end of the part.
- 13:52Speaker 9: Time, the support for the Israeli government is something that
- 13:57Speaker 9: has developed from the first moment that someone thinks about
- 14:00Speaker 9: politics in this country. We have to combat it at
- 14:04Speaker 9: the same level, not on all time, not on or time,
- 14:12Speaker 9: not on or dome.
- 14:17Speaker 2: That was the real mom Donnie, Mom Donnie a couple
- 14:20Speaker 2: of years ago in Mom Donnie Today, Well, my wor
- 14:23Speaker 2: was Jacko and Hyde now and he was yelling there
- 14:28Speaker 2: about Israel apartheid. Whenever you hear Israel apartheid, that is
- 14:31Speaker 2: the most antisemitic trope you could ever hear. That's then
- 14:35Speaker 2: you know you're dealing with a real anti Semitis, bad
- 14:38Speaker 2: bad stuff. Anyway, we got a lot lot to get
- 14:42Speaker 2: to we'll get back to that. Oh, Michael Goodwin will
- 14:44Speaker 2: be with us. He's been a little under the weather lately.
- 14:46Speaker 2: He missed a few weeks, but Michael Goodwin is back.
- 14:49Speaker 2: We'll talk to him later this hour. We'll take some
- 14:51Speaker 2: calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two one zero

- 16:21Speaker 2: New Jersey. Barbara, how you doing.
- 16:24Speaker 10: Hi, I'm doing fine. How are you doing?
- 16:27Speaker 2: Let me check?
- 16:28Speaker 10: This is very exciting for me. It's my first call.
- 16:31Speaker 10: Uh oh, and I yeah, I listened to you all
- 16:35Speaker 10: the time in the morning, but it's the first time
- 16:37Speaker 10: I called.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Uh.
- 16:38Speaker 10: You were talking about the money that was being spent
- 16:41Speaker 10: in the for the war, and all I have to
- 16:44Speaker 10: say is it's money well spent. And how much money
- 16:48Speaker 10: did they spend on all these endless wars we had?
- 16:51Speaker 10: What about the money Obama gave to the Iranians and
- 16:54Speaker 10: the money uh that Biden gave and all the pork
- 16:58Speaker 10: that's always in every damn bill. And they're worried about this.
- 17:01Speaker 10: This is something that had to be done because we
- 17:05Speaker 10: would be getting hit. It was just a matter of
- 17:08Speaker 10: when and not if.
- 17:11Speaker 2: There you go, Well, Barbara, you did very well for
- 17:13Speaker 2: your first call.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 17:15Speaker 10: I had something to say. I had a call.
- 17:18Speaker 2: All right, good job, thanks for calling. Yeah, it's a
- 17:20Speaker 2: billion dollars a day. This will be like a twenty
- 17:24Speaker 2: five day war something like that. Twenty five billion clean
- 17:27Speaker 2: up Iran, liberateor ran fix the Middle East by this
- 17:31Speaker 2: one thing that it's it's worth it. Hey, you know,
- 17:34Speaker 2: it's like a billion dollars a day. In the Ukraine,
- 17:36Speaker 2: nobody said a word. It's like year five nobody even
- 17:39Speaker 2: mentions it. Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how
- 17:42Speaker 2: you doing, good morning, Welcome, good Thanks.
- 17:44Speaker 11: Listen about Jahan.
- 17:46Speaker 2: And Omar, not that we're talking about her, but as
- 17:48Speaker 2: that investigation stopped, I read that they even.
- 17:52Speaker 11: The Republicans.
- 17:54Speaker 2: That actually just started.
- 17:56Speaker 12: So there's still hope that they're going to get get find.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Out what it's actually underway. There's no vote, you can't
- 18:01Speaker 2: vote on anything. It's a Justice Department investigation. Nobody gets there.
- 18:05Speaker 7: The Republicans aren't, aren't blocking.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Block whatever you want to block, whatever you want, it
- 18:10Speaker 2: doesn't affect him. The investigation's done with the Justice Department. Okay, thanks,
- 18:15Speaker 2: there's no vote that would affect it. Let's go to
- 18:17Speaker 2: uh Richard and Bay Shore. Richard, how you doing, Thank
- 18:21Speaker 2: your morning. Mark.
- 18:22Speaker 5: You know, the President's I did of ensuring the ships
- 18:24Speaker 5: transit into the war zone is great, but when taking
- 18:28Speaker 5: a step further and try to develop an American version
- 18:31Speaker 5: of Lloyd's, well.
- 18:33Speaker 2: That we have that we have that. In fact, that's
- 18:35Speaker 2: what the President said he'll do. If if you can't
- 18:37Speaker 2: get the insurance companies come in, we'll it. We'll just
- 18:39Speaker 2: insure them, which is easy to do. We'll we'll insure
- 18:42Speaker 2: the tankers and then escort them through. But expect it
- 18:45Speaker 2: to happen later this week or next week. They'll start
- 18:47Speaker 2: bringing tankers through, and once the tankers start moving through
- 18:50Speaker 2: with the oil, you'll see prices coming right back down.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Let's go to Roberta in Queen's Roberta, How you doing.
- 18:57Speaker 6: Hi, Mark?
- 18:58Speaker 12: You know the demonstrates in front of Grating mansion.
- 19:01Speaker 10: Why didn't they tend social workers instead of beliefs?
- 19:04Speaker 11: Right?
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. It's right outside your house. Terrorists with bombs. Yes,
- 19:09Speaker 2: send a social worker to discuss it with him. So
- 19:12Speaker 2: good point. Thanks for calling mom. Donnie still talking about that. Hey,
- 19:17Speaker 2: I don't know if he knows. But the NYPD has
- 19:20Speaker 2: tried this experiment where if it's a domestic violence call,
- 19:23Speaker 2: you send in a social worker. They've tried this about
- 19:25Speaker 2: four times over the last thirty forty years. It never works.
- 19:29Speaker 2: It fails every time. In fact, the problem is a
- 19:33Speaker 2: lot of social workers get harmed, killed, murdered. There's no
- 19:36Speaker 2: social worker that wants to answer a domestic violence call.
- 19:39Speaker 2: To begin with, let's go to Joel in Florida.
- 19:42Speaker 12: Joel, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, I'm just a
- 19:46Speaker 12: simple question. For years, we've been talking about drill, baby, drill,
- 19:50Speaker 12: and we have our own domestic oil instead of having
- 19:53Speaker 12: to deal with all these tankers coming through the Middle East.
- 19:56Speaker 12: Why can we not just use our own oil?
- 19:59Speaker 2: Or oh we do we have more oil than Saudi Arabia,
- 20:03Speaker 2: We have more oil than around. We have plenty of oil.
- 20:06Speaker 2: This whole price of oil spiking way up. This happens
- 20:11Speaker 2: Wall Street will panic. You saw it when the President
- 20:13Speaker 2: Trump started the terrace. I remember the market went down,
- 20:16Speaker 2: just plunged, just plunged. It was no reason for that,
- 20:19Speaker 2: absolutely no reason for that. And then a week later
- 20:21Speaker 2: it came back and not only came back, but it
- 20:23Speaker 2: went to record highs and went to fifty thousand. Same
- 20:27Speaker 2: thing here, stock market panicked, and the oil companies panic,
- 20:30Speaker 2: and they take advantage of it for a couple of weeks,
- 20:32Speaker 2: spike the price up to one hundred dollars a barrel.
- 20:35Speaker 2: There's actually no reason for it. Right now, there's plenty
- 20:37Speaker 2: of oil, there's no shortage of oil. In fact, we
- 20:40Speaker 2: have a glut of oil as we speak. In fact,
- 20:42Speaker 2: there's if you want to bring some oil, and we
- 20:44Speaker 2: don't even have any storage space left oil is filling
- 20:48Speaker 2: every storage space right now. There's absolutely no reason to
- 20:52Speaker 2: do all of this. Hey, coming up, we'll Michael Goodwin
- 20:55Speaker 2: will be with us in a few moments. We've got
- 20:57Speaker 2: a lot to get to. Hey. Also remind me to
- 20:59Speaker 2: get to the big arch McDonald's, a big, huge, Well,
- 21:04Speaker 2: I'll tell you what I think. We'll get to that
- 21:05Speaker 2: coming up. Also, department stores are closing like crazy all
- 21:10Speaker 2: over the Tri state area. It's getting really, really really bad.
- 21:13Speaker 2: So that and a lot more just ahead. And as
- 21:16Speaker 2: I said, Michael Goodwin, he's been under the weather for
- 21:18Speaker 2: a few weeks, hasn't been with us, but he's back
- 21:22Speaker 2: doing well. And we'll talk to Michael Goodwin next on
- 21:25Speaker 2: seven ten WR.
- 21:27Speaker 13: Respond into Everything New York. Mark Simone on seven ten
- 21:32Speaker 13: wor R.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Well with us right now. The greatest columnist in America,
- 21:39Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin. You can read his column every Sunday every
- 21:42Speaker 2: Wednesday in the New York Post and all his columns
- 21:45Speaker 2: are up on the New York Post website. Michael Goodwin,
- 21:48Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 21:49Speaker 11: Good morning, Mark, Thank you great to have.
- 21:51Speaker 2: You with us. Iran. You've written a couple of columns
- 21:54Speaker 2: now about Iran. Tell everybody how you feel about the
- 21:57Speaker 2: president's choice here to go to war.
- 22:00Speaker 11: Look, I think it's obviously risky, but I believe it's
- 22:04Speaker 11: also necessary. Something had to be done about this regime
- 22:10Speaker 11: that was threatening America, of course threatening Israel. Threatening as
- 22:15Speaker 11: we can see now all the Arab countries that our
- 22:20Speaker 11: allies in the region are now being with iranium missiles
- 22:24Speaker 11: and rockets. This was the world's top trouble maker in
- 22:29Speaker 11: the sense of exporting the Islamic Revolution throughout the region
- 22:35Speaker 11: around the world, and they killed hundreds and hundreds of
- 22:39Speaker 11: Americans in the forty seven years that have been in power. So, look,
- 22:44Speaker 11: this is obviously a difficult decision for a president to
- 22:48Speaker 11: make to go to war, and unfortunately there are American casualties.
- 22:55Speaker 11: But I think the question becomes is it the right decision? Fundamentally,
- 23:01Speaker 11: I believe it's not only right, I believe there's a
- 23:04Speaker 11: level of righteousness to it because of the evil that
- 23:09Speaker 11: this regime has done to the world and of course
- 23:13Speaker 11: to ninety million Iranians who are now on the verbs
- 23:17Speaker 11: of liberation.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Yeah, did you ever think you see democrats out in
- 23:22Speaker 2: the street protesting against killing the Ayatola? A man who
- 23:28Speaker 2: kills protesters they're actually protesting his death. Did you ever
- 23:31Speaker 2: think you could see that?
- 23:32Speaker 11: Well, yeah, it's its mark. It's a continuation of what
- 23:36Speaker 11: we have seen since Trump came down that escalator in
- 23:40Speaker 11: twenty fifteen. Anything he's for, they are reflexively against, even
- 23:47Speaker 11: when it makes no sense, even when it goes against
- 23:50Speaker 11: their own history. But they are just warped by the
- 23:55Speaker 11: fear that Donald Trump will get something done that we're
- 23:59Speaker 11: in bacaris them and their party, and so they have
- 24:02Speaker 11: to oppose him at every step.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty funny. So if he pulls this off
- 24:11Speaker 2: and Iran becomes a much better place, and that probably
- 24:15Speaker 2: will calm everything down in the Middle East, that would
- 24:18Speaker 2: stop Hesbala all that stuff.
- 24:21Speaker 11: Yeah, it's amazing, you know, Mike. I think another thing
- 24:25Speaker 11: that's come out of this is that Israel is emerging
- 24:30Speaker 11: as America's not only important regional ally, I think it's
- 24:36Speaker 11: become America's most important ally anywhere. You look at the
- 24:41Speaker 11: behavior of the so called great powers of Europe sitting
- 24:45Speaker 11: there complaining about this, critiquing it, opposing it. What are
- 24:51Speaker 11: they doing that they have lagged on the Russian invasion?
- 24:55Speaker 11: They had to be coaxed into paying more money. I mean,
- 25:00Speaker 11: they've all just surrendered to the woke culture. And of
- 25:03Speaker 11: course they're all afraid of their domestic Muslim populations. If
- 25:09Speaker 11: you cannot be four square against the uranium regime, what
- 25:13Speaker 11: could you? What are you waiting for? What will trip
- 25:17Speaker 11: you into action? I mean it's really something breathtaking. So
- 25:21Speaker 11: I think Israel is now America's most important ally.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, Michael Goodwin, mom Donny's wife. All sorts of
- 25:32Speaker 2: controversy now that we're twitter things about the October seventh
- 25:36Speaker 2: Holocaust pictures and she's clicking like on that. How will
- 25:41Speaker 2: how does he ever explain this?
- 25:44Speaker 11: Yeah? I think his answer basically that you know, she's
- 25:49Speaker 11: a private citizen, I think is not sufficient. I mean,
- 25:54Speaker 11: I think he has to answer for himself. Does he
- 25:58Speaker 11: feel that way? Does he agree with that? I think
- 26:01Speaker 11: that's the question that has to be put to him.
- 26:05Speaker 11: And now, of course we have the other incident from
- 26:08Speaker 11: yesterday outside Gracie Mansion, and he has yet, to my understanding,
- 26:14Speaker 11: he has yet to condemn the people involved. He has
- 26:17Speaker 11: a blanket condemnation of violence. But this is not ordinary violence.
- 26:23Speaker 11: This is terrorism inspired violence.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, luckily it looks like they're going to charge
- 26:28Speaker 2: him federally, so it'll go to the US attorney.
- 26:30Speaker 11: But right, we don't have to worry about alvit Bragg.
- 26:35Speaker 11: But you no, Mark, I think it does raise another question.
- 26:38Speaker 11: Where's Kathy Hoko on this? Right? Where where is the
- 26:43Speaker 11: other Democratic official? Where's Chuck Schumer on this? Where? Where
- 26:48Speaker 11: are the people who are supposed to keep New York safe?
- 26:52Speaker 11: Meanwhile the Department of Homeland Security is closed because the
- 26:56Speaker 11: Democrats won't go for the budget.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Chuck Schumer for a long time. How the hell
- 27:03Speaker 2: did he ever end up like this where you think
- 27:05Speaker 2: he'd be the first one supporting Israel and taking out
- 27:08Speaker 2: the eye toll. How did he get so screwed up?
- 27:11Speaker 11: Yeah? You know, Mike, there's an old say that sometimes
- 27:14Speaker 11: party asks too much, and I think Schumer has never
- 27:20Speaker 11: really said that. I think he's gone along with his
- 27:23Speaker 11: party no matter who is leading it or what it is.
- 27:27Speaker 11: He's afraid to stand up to the party. He'll stand
- 27:31Speaker 11: up to Donald Trump or call him names. He'll fret
- 27:34Speaker 11: the Supreme Court, but it will come to you know,
- 27:38Speaker 11: AOC or people like that. He quivers.
- 27:42Speaker 2: So that makes you an admire a guy like that,
- 27:44Speaker 2: like a Bruce Blakeman, a guy who's not afraid to
- 27:46Speaker 2: say just common sense, whatever the right thing is to do,
- 27:49Speaker 2: that's the position he'll take. And he's You think he's
- 27:53Speaker 2: got a good shot against Kathy Hockel.
- 27:56Speaker 11: And I think Mark that people craze, you know, sort
- 28:01Speaker 11: of people who are politicians, who are honest and who
- 28:05Speaker 11: are not beholden to an idea on oology. Most people
- 28:10Speaker 11: are common sense. They want their politicians to be. That's
- 28:15Speaker 11: why to me, the surprise of the last ten years
- 28:19Speaker 11: is John Fetterman. Right, He's the one Democrat in the
- 28:23Speaker 11: Senate who says sensible things, even to me if it
- 28:27Speaker 11: means agreeing with President Trump. But no other Democrat will
- 28:32Speaker 11: go where Fetterman goes.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like the Bill Clinton of right now. This
- 28:36Speaker 2: is a similar to win right. Clinton emerged among all
- 28:39Speaker 2: the left wing wackos and led the party back to
- 28:41Speaker 2: the center.
- 28:42Speaker 11: You think that, yes, exactly, No, I think that's a
- 28:45Speaker 11: good point.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, Michael Goodwin, great having you with us. And
- 28:49Speaker 2: you can read Michael Goodwin's column every Monday, I mean
- 28:51Speaker 2: every Sunday, every Sunday, and every Wednesday in the New
- 28:55Speaker 2: York Post. Keep up the great work, and we'll talk
- 28:57Speaker 2: to you next week.
- 28:58Speaker 11: Thank you, Mark.
- 29:00Speaker 2: All right, take care. Hey, we've got a lot coming
- 29:03Speaker 2: up in the next hour. Well, we'll get to Bruce
- 29:06Speaker 2: Blackman and Fetterman, and there are guys like that, common sense,
- 29:11Speaker 2: reasonable politicians out there. We'll get to department stores closing
- 29:15Speaker 2: all over the Tri State area, the biggest ones. Also,
- 29:18Speaker 2: we'll get back to the war, and a whole lot
- 29:21Speaker 2: more coming up in the next hour. So I have
- 29:23Speaker 2: the greatest pollster in the world. What are the numbers.
- 29:26Speaker 2: What does it look like for the midterms? What does
- 29:27Speaker 2: it look like in the governor's race. We'll get to
- 29:29Speaker 2: all them that coming up. Hey, don't forget Buck and
- 29:31Speaker 2: Clay at noon today, get Buck Sexton's new book. It
- 29:34Speaker 2: just came out. It's already a bestseller. In fact, it's
- 29:37Speaker 2: on Amazon. But they'll be here at noon. Then you
- 29:39Speaker 2: got the most listened to radio show in America, Sean
- 29:43Speaker 2: Hannity three o'clock. He got Jesse Kelly at six, Jimmy
- 29:46Speaker 2: Fayla with a great show that's very funny every night
- 29:50Speaker 2: nine to midnight. Don't forget Curtis Leiwa is now co
- 29:53Speaker 2: hosting the Morning show every morning six to ten. Here
- 29:56Speaker 2: on seven to ten, wor.
- 29:59Speaker 13: He's got the the whole city and your radio Marximo
- 30:03Speaker 13: on sevent.
- 30:03Speaker 7: Ten wo r.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Well, beautiful spring day to day. Spring is here early.
- 30:11Speaker 2: It's gonna be near seventy today and it's gonna be
- 30:14Speaker 2: like that for a few days. That should get rid
- 30:15Speaker 2: of the last of all of that snow. You know,
- 30:19Speaker 2: there are some you know, the left wing has gone
- 30:22Speaker 2: so far to the left, so crazy, so nuts. You
- 30:25Speaker 2: remember James Carville who worked for Clinton, Remember Mary Mattlin,
- 30:29Speaker 2: James Carville. This is how nuts they've got, even he
- 30:32Speaker 2: a Clinton guy. You know, Clinton was always the common sense,
- 30:35Speaker 2: middle road, the middle of the road, voice of reason,
- 30:37Speaker 2: kind of a Democrat. Listen to James Carville over the weekend.
- 30:41Speaker 2: He's always on YouTube, been always doing podcasts. But this
- 30:45Speaker 2: is this is the common sense then, okay, listen to
- 30:48Speaker 2: how nuts he's got about Donald Trump. I got Trump
- 30:50Speaker 2: arrangement syndrome. And you know what, I don't want to
- 30:53Speaker 2: get rid of it. I don't want to get better.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I want to get worse. I want to hate any more.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I plight of God in heaven, God rained the righteous
- 31:04Speaker 1: rain of tump derangement syndrome.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Me play for me, Lord, I'm your vessel on this earth,
- 31:13Speaker 2: just going nuttier and nuttier. I could see some people
- 31:16Speaker 2: don't like Trump. I mean I've always liked him. I
- 31:19Speaker 2: mean I always got to kick out him. But knowing
- 31:20Speaker 2: him for millions of years before he even got into politics,
- 31:24Speaker 2: the same thing was going on there here in New
- 31:25Speaker 2: York and the business world and the social world. Half
- 31:28Speaker 2: the people loved him, and half the people just didn't
- 31:31Speaker 2: like him. They found him a borish, offensive whatever they
- 31:34Speaker 2: found him. But when he went into politics, he just
- 31:39Speaker 2: was the same thing times a billion. I mean, it's again,
- 31:43Speaker 2: if you don't like I mean, I look at Biden.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I don't like him. I don't like the type of
- 31:47Speaker 2: guy he is. I don't like the way he talks.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I don't like the way he walks. I don't like
- 31:51Speaker 2: you just don't like him irritating. But I can't imagine
- 31:55Speaker 2: getting riled up or mad about it. I can't imagine
- 31:58Speaker 2: typing away nasty things with all night about him. I
- 32:02Speaker 2: can't imagine getting an rage about it. So what is
- 32:06Speaker 2: it about Trump that sets them off? Or maybe it's
- 32:08Speaker 2: not him, Maybe it's them, Maybe they just children, just childish.
- 32:12Speaker 2: It's like a tantrum. It's like, anyway, we'll talk more
- 32:15Speaker 2: about this in the next hour and a lot to
- 32:17Speaker 2: get to. Don't forget. I'm here every day ten to noon,
- 32:21Speaker 2: or you could listen anytime you want. Just get the
- 32:23Speaker 2: podcast back right after the news on seven to ten wo.
- 32:29Speaker 13: Talking about everything you care about, Marks the moans on wor.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Well, it just ran into Curtis in the hallway. It's
- 32:45Speaker 2: a little strange. I mean, it's nice, it's good, but
- 32:48Speaker 2: it was like the old days of the old classic
- 32:51Speaker 2: WABC years ago. We do all work together. It was
- 32:55Speaker 2: all in one place. We were all working. It was
- 32:59Speaker 2: me and Curtis and Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh and
- 33:04Speaker 2: who else was it. Bob Grant of course was there,
- 33:07Speaker 2: and Mark Levin, all in one place. So Curtis is
- 33:11Speaker 2: on now with Larry Mente every morning from six to
- 33:15Speaker 2: ten here on wo R now and it's great stuff.
- 33:22Speaker 2: And you know, it's tough when you haven't been on
- 33:24Speaker 2: every day for how long has he not been on
- 33:28Speaker 2: he left for the campaign, it's got to be like
- 33:30Speaker 2: five months. Six months gets very tough, especially with a
- 33:32Speaker 2: morning show. You know, it's grueling you're getting up like
- 33:36Speaker 2: at three four in the morning. But he told me
- 33:39Speaker 2: he started a couple of weeks ago getting back in shape,
- 33:42Speaker 2: in other words, setting then alarm clock for three or
- 33:44Speaker 2: four in the morning. But you know Curtis, he never sleeps.
- 33:46Speaker 2: I'll sleep like a couple hours at night. So here's
- 33:52Speaker 2: the other thing, McDonald's. The Big Arch. This is the
- 33:57Speaker 2: latest thing for McDonald It's a big, huge, juicy it's
- 34:01Speaker 2: it's it's sort of like a Big Mac, but much
- 34:03Speaker 2: much better. Big Mac too much bread. The bread to
- 34:07Speaker 2: meat ratio is off on the Big Mac. You don't
- 34:09Speaker 2: need that middle bun. So this is a better meat
- 34:13Speaker 2: to bun ratio. But the Big Arch it's a big,
- 34:16Speaker 2: huge version of that with a more stuff in it,
- 34:18Speaker 2: like onions and stuff like that. So I finally had
- 34:22Speaker 2: one Friday the Big Arch. Now you saw the CEO
- 34:27Speaker 2: of McDonald's make that clumsy, awkward video where he's eating it.
- 34:31Speaker 2: The Big Arch excellent. It was great. It's actually delicious.
- 34:37Speaker 2: It's really really good. You can go to any McDonald's.
- 34:40Speaker 11: Now.
- 34:40Speaker 2: They've tried this out in other countries. They finally unveiled
- 34:43Speaker 2: it in the US. Should be every McDonald's that has
- 34:47Speaker 2: it right now, go in and try a Big Arch.
- 34:49Speaker 2: It was delicious. It's huge, it's juicy, it's the bun
- 34:54Speaker 2: is different from the Big Mac. It's a much much
- 34:56Speaker 2: higher quality sort of bun. It is great.
- 35:00Speaker 11: Now.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I notice it says for a limited time, which means
- 35:05Speaker 2: they're giving themselves some wiggle room if it bombs. So
- 35:08Speaker 2: you know they do that on Broadway. They'll say opening
- 35:10Speaker 2: for a limited run. That's because they're not sure it's
- 35:13Speaker 2: going to work. And then oh, a limited run only
- 35:16Speaker 2: twelve weeks, and that wave of bombs they close in
- 35:18Speaker 2: twelve weeks, and then they can say, well, we always
- 35:21Speaker 2: said it was just a limited run, but that wave
- 35:23Speaker 2: it's a big hit. I'll keep it going forever. So
- 35:25Speaker 2: that's what's going on with the Big Archs. So go
- 35:27Speaker 2: out and get one. Let's keep this thing around. It
- 35:30Speaker 2: was really really good. Rupert Murdoch big birthday party Saturday night,
- 35:36Speaker 2: he turned ninety five. Rubert Murdoch ninety five years old,
- 35:41Speaker 2: Still going strong, still going to work every day, still
- 35:44Speaker 2: doing well. Big, big, big birthday party at the Grill
- 35:48Speaker 2: that's the old four Seasons on fifty second Street. See
- 35:54Speaker 2: Bob Kraft was there. Tony Blair, Cardinal Dolan, Barry Diller,
- 35:59Speaker 2: Jerry Jones, Robert Kraft, Jessica Tish, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and
- 36:06Speaker 2: Hugh Jackman. Jackman and Murdoch have been great friends for years.
- 36:11Speaker 2: In fact, later in the evening, Hugh Jackman sang New York,
- 36:15Speaker 2: New York. He sang flying me to the Moon from
- 36:17Speaker 2: Trump World. Well, it was Jared Kushner and Avanka Trump.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Now you know, Donald Trump and Murdock have had an
- 36:26Speaker 2: on again, off again love hate relationship. But the President
- 36:30Speaker 2: is also suing Murdoch for something. I can't remember what,
- 36:35Speaker 2: but some coverage but the President sent a video wishing
- 36:40Speaker 2: Murdock a happy birthday. It was his ninety fifth birthday.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Roger Goodell was also there, but the Trump video was
- 36:47Speaker 2: a big hit, apparently introduced by Brett bar and then
- 36:51Speaker 2: President Trump calling a Murdoch one of a kind and legendary,
- 36:56Speaker 2: praised him for courage, vision and determination. Say you changed
- 37:00Speaker 2: the world. You know, think about that if there hadn't
- 37:02Speaker 2: been a ruper Murdoch, think about that. What would the
- 37:04Speaker 2: world be like if there had been no Fox News?
- 37:08Speaker 2: If it didn't exist, you'd be totally dependent on crazy
- 37:12Speaker 2: left wing stuff MSNBC and CNN and all that stuff,
- 37:17Speaker 2: you'd be totally totally dependent. There'd be no Fox News.
- 37:21Speaker 2: And they got to figure Newsmax is pretty good, but
- 37:23Speaker 2: you got to figure had Fox News not open that door,
- 37:28Speaker 2: Newsmax would have never been possible. So he's right, Murdoch
- 37:34Speaker 2: did change the world. He'd probably saved journalism. At least
- 37:38Speaker 2: now you can get balance. You got to go to
- 37:40Speaker 2: two different places, but you can at least get balance.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Had you been totally dependent just on mainstream media when
- 37:48Speaker 2: Trump came along, it would have been a real, real
- 37:52Speaker 2: problem trying to get You wouldn't be able to get
- 37:54Speaker 2: any straight news right now. You know, if you watch
- 37:57Speaker 2: the nightly news on the networks, if you watch the
- 38:00Speaker 2: Sunday shows, all you think is the Ran war has
- 38:03Speaker 2: been a total disaster. We're losing. It's all over, We're
- 38:07Speaker 2: doing nothing but blowing up schools and children. You get
- 38:10Speaker 2: a totally false impression. It's actually probably the most successful
- 38:14Speaker 2: war effort ever in history. You got that during the
- 38:16Speaker 2: Iraq War. Forget whether it was right or wrong. But
- 38:21Speaker 2: in the opening weeks, if you're watching the news, the
- 38:24Speaker 2: mainstream meeting, all they tell you it was a disaster.
- 38:27Speaker 2: We were bogged down, we were this, we were that,
- 38:30Speaker 2: our supply lines were cut off. All you have this meantime.
- 38:33Speaker 2: It turned out in reality it was the fastest armored
- 38:36Speaker 2: advance in the history of warfare with the fewest casualties.
- 38:39Speaker 2: All sorts of records were said, same thing here, We've
- 38:42Speaker 2: degraded ninety five percent of Iran's offensive capability in just
- 38:48Speaker 2: the first nine days. Ninety five percent in nine days.
- 38:51Speaker 2: It's now diet in the day ten, by the end
- 38:53Speaker 2: of the day or tomorrow, it'll probably be one hundred percent.
- 38:56Speaker 2: I'll have no offensive capability. So you had to waltz
- 39:01Speaker 2: the ambassador on the Sunday shows trying to defend things.
- 39:04Speaker 14: He wants to see leadership in Iran that no longer
- 39:07Speaker 14: threatens the United States or allies in the region, that
- 39:10Speaker 14: isn't attacking civilian airports, ports, shipping terminals, hotels and lashing
- 39:19Speaker 14: out in the way that it is that can't hold
- 39:21Speaker 14: energy supplies hosted.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and think about it. Forty seven years of that Iotola,
- 39:29Speaker 2: forty seven years of killing Americans, threatening death to America,
- 39:33Speaker 2: forty seven years of this guy, and forty seven years
- 39:36Speaker 2: of every Democrat from Hillary to Obama, everybody saying we'll
- 39:40Speaker 2: go after Iran. We're going to get the straighten out.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I ran nobody ever doing a thing. That's where they're furious.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Furious they can't believe Trump actually did something that they
- 39:48Speaker 2: promised for years to see. They promise all these things
- 39:51Speaker 2: and they never actually do them. But here's Trump actually
- 39:53Speaker 2: doing it. So they're furious because also remember every campaign
- 39:59Speaker 2: they promised to do something about Iran. By him fixing this,
- 40:03Speaker 2: you know, every campaign they also promise to close the border.
- 40:06Speaker 2: By him fixing that, he's taking away their campaign promises.
- 40:10Speaker 2: This is the stuff they always run on. But by
- 40:12Speaker 2: fixing the problem and making it non existent, they lose
- 40:15Speaker 2: a couple of campaign promises. Here's more Watz.
- 40:18Speaker 14: This is ending a forty seven year war that Iran
- 40:22Speaker 14: began in nineteen seventy nine. That day began under Jimmy Carter.
- 40:26Speaker 14: President Trump is taking bold, decisive action to end it.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Yeah, now ground troops. I don't think they'll ever be
- 40:32Speaker 2: in ground troops. But you got to say, and he
- 40:34Speaker 2: said a couple of times, well we may have to
- 40:36Speaker 2: send ground trips. You always leave that option open, and
- 40:39Speaker 2: you always say you will just to just to let
- 40:42Speaker 2: that stick in the enemy's head. You don't ever want
- 40:45Speaker 2: to say, well, we'll never do this. You never tell
- 40:46Speaker 2: an enemy that flying back from Miami Air Force One,
- 40:52Speaker 2: the President asked about it, would it be possible for
- 40:55Speaker 2: very good reason?
- 40:56Speaker 14: Have to be very good reason, And I would say
- 41:00Speaker 14: if we ever did that, they would be so decimated
- 41:02Speaker 14: that they wouldn't be able to fight at the ground level.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Now, shouldn't we have a rule that if you interview
- 41:06Speaker 2: the president on Air Force one, you don't do it
- 41:08Speaker 2: right next to the engine, so that when he's talking,
- 41:11Speaker 2: all your ears you can't hear a thing when he's talking.
- 41:16Speaker 2: This is an excursion.
- 41:17Speaker 14: If we figured what prices will go up, which say
- 41:19Speaker 14: will they'll also come down?
- 41:21Speaker 2: They'll come down. It's not like he's in a washing machine.
- 41:24Speaker 2: I don't know why they do that. It's Air Force one.
- 41:26Speaker 2: You think they could find a quiet spot to do that. Now,
- 41:30Speaker 2: when he says we're gonna crank it up, Pete hags
- 41:32Speaker 2: as he already said, this is nothing. We're gonna They're
- 41:35Speaker 2: gonna intensify our efforts. Well, what does that mean? Well,
- 41:38Speaker 2: there's new there's a whole new series of bombers. That
- 41:41Speaker 2: will be coming into the war probably this week. There's
- 41:45Speaker 2: the B one Lancer. They got all these different bombers
- 41:47Speaker 2: that are much much, much much bigger. There's one American
- 41:51Speaker 2: bomber that can carry twenty four missiles. It can reach
- 41:54Speaker 2: speeds of nine hundred miles an hour. They're already in
- 41:57Speaker 2: the UK staging there, ready to go into battle. The
- 42:01Speaker 2: B one Lancer and other bombers of this type. They
- 42:05Speaker 2: also have advanced radar and GPS systems that can hone
- 42:08Speaker 2: in on targets. Even better, they can carry the largest
- 42:12Speaker 2: con conventional payload of guided unguided weapons in the whole
- 42:17Speaker 2: United States military. So you're going to see these bombers
- 42:21Speaker 2: start to take over and do incredible damage. Now, Democrats,
- 42:25Speaker 2: of course going crazy, acting like lunatics out in the
- 42:28Speaker 2: street protesting in defense of the Ayatola that he shouldn't
- 42:32Speaker 2: have been removed or killed. Imagine that the protesters protesting
- 42:38Speaker 2: the death of a guy who killed more protesters than
- 42:41Speaker 2: anybody in the world. They took a vote in the
- 42:44Speaker 2: Congress about reaffirming that Iran was a terrorist sponsor, was
- 42:50Speaker 2: the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world, and they
- 42:53Speaker 2: wanted to vote just you know, to make that clear
- 42:56Speaker 2: that Iran was a terrible sponsor of terrorism. So the vote,
- 43:00Speaker 2: they did this three years ago and the vote was
- 43:02Speaker 2: four hundred and twenty to one, four hundred and twenty
- 43:05Speaker 2: one person voted in favor of Iran. Well, this time
- 43:09Speaker 2: around three years later, fifty three Democrats voted in favor
- 43:14Speaker 2: of Iran, including AOC and Omar and all the squad people.
- 43:18Speaker 2: They voted in favor of Iran. Trump arrangement syndrome, just
- 43:23Speaker 2: driving them absolutely nuts. Hey, there's some Epstein news. Now.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Was Epstein murdered or was it suicide? It's beneficially declared
- 43:36Speaker 2: a suicide. But a lot of people, including me, thought
- 43:41Speaker 2: he was murdered from the beginning because the whole thing
- 43:45Speaker 2: was suspicious, the whole It was a Sunday night. They
- 43:49Speaker 2: have surveillance cameras everywhere, all of us. Sudden, all the
- 43:53Speaker 2: surveillance cameras went out for an hour. We don't know
- 43:57Speaker 2: what the guards were up to. And the people that
- 44:00Speaker 2: thought he was murdered, they believe what happened was somebody
- 44:04Speaker 2: arranged a whole plot. And this is done all the time.
- 44:07Speaker 2: You can kill people in prison. You've seen it. Happen
- 44:09Speaker 2: a million times on TV and movies where the mob,
- 44:13Speaker 2: whoever they got enough influence, bribe enough guards and bribe
- 44:18Speaker 2: enough prisoners so that it's arranged that the guards all
- 44:22Speaker 2: disappear for a few minutes while somebody goes in and
- 44:25Speaker 2: kills the guy. It happens all the time in prisons.
- 44:28Speaker 2: It's been done many times. So did that happen to Epstein? Well,
- 44:32Speaker 2: that's what people believe. That the guards left some door
- 44:36Speaker 2: open and disappeared and looked the other way. There's a
- 44:40Speaker 2: couple of guys in that Manhattan Correctional facility, rough, tough
- 44:44Speaker 2: guys that you know, if you were the mob or whoever,
- 44:47Speaker 2: you'd hire those guys, those prisoners to go kill Epstein.
- 44:50Speaker 2: So that's what a lot of people believe. Now they
- 44:53Speaker 2: officially ruled it a suicide and all of that. Hey,
- 44:56Speaker 2: and also remember this prison, this Manhattan Correctional Center that
- 45:01Speaker 2: the Feds use. This prison has had a history of
- 45:05Speaker 2: very very bad guards who were corrupt. Couple of them
- 45:08Speaker 2: were indicted a few years ago. A couple of them
- 45:10Speaker 2: went to prison. It's happened before. And you'll notice since
- 45:15Speaker 2: the Epstein event, the US Attorney doesn't use that prison anymore.
- 45:21Speaker 2: After that, when it was Gallaine Maxwell or p. Ditty
- 45:24Speaker 2: or whoever, they started sticking them in the Brooklyn Correctional Center.
- 45:28Speaker 2: They stopped using the Manhattan one. So maybe they know
- 45:31Speaker 2: something we don't. Maybe it is that bad. Well, something
- 45:34Speaker 2: has come out now over the weekend. It turns out
- 45:37Speaker 2: they're investigating this one of the Epstein prison guards all
- 45:43Speaker 2: of a sudden was making mysterious cash deposits into her
- 45:46Speaker 2: bank account, a five thousand dollar cash deposit ten days before,
- 45:53Speaker 2: and it looks like there were a few other cash
- 45:54Speaker 2: deposits totally about twelve thousand dollars. And they also noticed
- 45:59Speaker 2: the woman has a sixty two thousand dollars range Rover
- 46:03Speaker 2: that she's driving. That's a pretty tough on a guard's salary.
- 46:08Speaker 2: But the FBI is looking into this and they see
- 46:10Speaker 2: all these mysterious, huge, large cash deposits to this prison
- 46:15Speaker 2: guard's bank account. They also find out that this guard,
- 46:21Speaker 2: after Epstein was killed, in the next hour, was googling
- 46:25Speaker 2: him online trying to see if anything came out about it.
- 46:29Speaker 2: So suspicious Google activity, suspicious deposits coming into account. This
- 46:34Speaker 2: investigation is going on. You may find out that Epstein
- 46:39Speaker 2: was murdered. It's very, very possible that he really was murdered.
- 46:44Speaker 2: We'll see where this investigation goes. Hey, we'll take some
- 46:46Speaker 2: calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 46:50Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Hey, we're losing some of
- 46:53Speaker 2: our best department stores. You know sas Neman Marcus. It's
- 46:58Speaker 2: all the same owner now closing all over the place.
- 47:01Speaker 2: The last Sacks in Long Island just closed, or it
- 47:04Speaker 2: was just announced it will close. Walt Whitman Mall, it's closing.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Once it closes, there's no more Sacks anywhere on Long Island.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Westchester Mall and White Plains Name and Marcus just announced
- 47:16Speaker 2: they're closing in May. That'll be the end of it.
- 47:19Speaker 2: That's the big anchor store of the Westchester Mall in
- 47:23Speaker 2: White Plains. When you drive by, that's the first thing
- 47:25Speaker 2: you see, that big Neemen Marcus sign closing. What's going
- 47:28Speaker 2: in there? Nothing? I don't know closing. And by the way,
- 47:33Speaker 2: the Westchester Mall, if you're listening, the son No Mall
- 47:38Speaker 2: in Norwalk. Some of you malls stop with the parking
- 47:42Speaker 2: where you charge people to park. Let everybody park for free.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Your malls are dying people don't go there anymore. It's empty.
- 47:51Speaker 2: I was walking through the Westchester Mall. Half the stores
- 47:53Speaker 2: are empty. Stop charging people. It's not even the money,
- 47:57Speaker 2: it's the inconvenience of getting out, you know. Take the
- 48:00Speaker 2: Walt Whitman Mall, Long Island. Now that's a big parking lot.
- 48:03Speaker 2: You just drive in, park, get out of your car,
- 48:07Speaker 2: leave them all, get in your car, just drive away
- 48:09Speaker 2: that Westchester Mall. You gotta have a ticket. You gotta
- 48:12Speaker 2: wait the gate. You gotta stick it in the gate.
- 48:15Speaker 2: And if you don't want to pay there, you got
- 48:16Speaker 2: to pay before you get in your car. You pay
- 48:18Speaker 2: in the machine. You got to take out your credit
- 48:21Speaker 2: that's son, no mall, you got it. You can't. I
- 48:23Speaker 2: don't even think you can use a credit card. You
- 48:24Speaker 2: have to download the app. You have to put in
- 48:26Speaker 2: the app. You have to. You should be bat You
- 48:29Speaker 2: should be paying people ten bucks to come into the mall,
- 48:32Speaker 2: not charging them ten bucks to park there. Anyway, We'll
- 48:35Speaker 2: take some calls next eight hundred three to two one
- 48:38Speaker 2: zero seven ten.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark zimone, he's on seven ten wo off.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Well, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 48:48Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to
- 48:51Speaker 2: Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing?
- 48:55Speaker 3: Hey, Mark?
- 48:56Speaker 11: You know what?
- 48:56Speaker 3: Talk about Epstein. It reminds me of Vince Foster. Remember
- 48:59Speaker 3: Hillary's good buddy she brought up to work and then
- 49:01Speaker 3: throw them under the busy supposedly committed suicide in the
- 49:05Speaker 3: park is the only murder or suicide supposedly that the
- 49:10Speaker 3: park police ever worked. They've never worked another one other
- 49:13Speaker 3: than that one. And the f scene. It reminds me
- 49:17Speaker 3: of the same thing. Too many things went wrong at
- 49:19Speaker 3: the same time. It just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Well, you know, you think, how many people do you
- 49:26Speaker 2: know have committed suicide? I think I known maybe two
- 49:30Speaker 2: or three in my whole life. Yeah, the Clintons have
- 49:34Speaker 2: known like eighty seven people have committed suicide.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Well, the Arkansas flu is very contagious, So you don't
- 49:40Speaker 3: cross the Clintons or you will die of the flu.
- 49:44Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 49:47Speaker 2: how you doing. That's Mike.
- 49:53Speaker 8: On the air again.
- 49:54Speaker 15: I wish him all the best. You seem to have
- 49:58Speaker 15: an inside track on these things. Why aren't the Republicans
- 50:01Speaker 15: passing to save act.
- 50:02Speaker 8: What's going on there.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Well, they'll get it done. You know, nobody's getting anything
- 50:07Speaker 2: done right now. It's a mess right now, but they'll
- 50:11Speaker 2: get it straight now in a few weeks and then
- 50:14Speaker 2: it's the problem is you know, obviously these Democrats are
- 50:17Speaker 2: a disaster in Congress. These Republicans are pretty much a
- 50:20Speaker 2: disaster in Congress too. You know, any Republican you really
- 50:23Speaker 2: like in Congress, No, they're awful.
- 50:25Speaker 15: And here's a guy who's given them everything they said
- 50:27Speaker 15: they wanted for the last forty years. Trump comes in
- 50:30Speaker 15: and goes, I'm giving it to you, and they said.
- 50:31Speaker 12: No, no, we don't really want it. Not it's sicky,
- 50:34Speaker 12: we don't want it.
- 50:34Speaker 15: I don't understand why they would resist them.
- 50:37Speaker 2: You got to remember their politicians. You know, you watch
- 50:40Speaker 2: Trump and sometimes he seems crazy with what he's doing,
- 50:42Speaker 2: But what he's doing is what business people do. Take action,
- 50:45Speaker 2: do something, every second, get something. Politicians talk, make a speech,
- 50:52Speaker 2: well thanks for calling. You know, if you got a
- 50:54Speaker 2: bunch of businessmen to run the government, everything would be different.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Take a look at New York with this budget of
- 50:59Speaker 2: a hundred and twenty billion a year, New York City,
- 51:02Speaker 2: the budget of the city should be about forty billion
- 51:04Speaker 2: a year. If you put a couple of business guys
- 51:06Speaker 2: in there, in about two seconds, they'd figure out how
- 51:09Speaker 2: to get rid of all the waste and the fraud
- 51:10Speaker 2: and the bloat. Let's go to John and Norwalk. John.
- 51:13Speaker 2: How you doing, I'm good, Mark? How are you? I'm good?
- 51:19Speaker 15: Good good Mark.
- 51:22Speaker 12: Stop it.
- 51:25Speaker 15: I was very concerned about the fact that I just
- 51:27Speaker 15: I had heard I think was a couple of days ago,
- 51:30Speaker 15: that the Iotola's son, Yeah, was selected by the whoever.
- 51:36Speaker 2: The assembly of experts have selected the iotolis son to
- 51:39Speaker 2: take over.
- 51:40Speaker 15: Yeah, And it's like, that's really pissing me up.
- 51:43Speaker 2: But I don't worry about it. Don't worry about it.
- 51:45Speaker 2: The iotolas son has been elected the new leader. He's
- 51:48Speaker 2: as bad as the Isotola, very hardline guy. I'm ensure
- 51:53Speaker 2: his insurance company immediately has canceled his life insurance policy.
- 51:57Speaker 2: If you had to bet on this guy being alive
- 52:01Speaker 2: on March thirty first, what would you he's the new leader.
- 52:07Speaker 2: If he's there a week from now, I would be shocked.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you.
- 52:13Speaker 16: Doing, Good morning, Mark? Good morning matter Mark? If anyone
- 52:18Speaker 16: believes that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in the joint, I
- 52:23Speaker 16: have a bridge to sell you that connects Manhattan to Brooklyn.
- 52:27Speaker 16: The New York Post did an expose once again on
- 52:31Speaker 16: that prison, and they had pictures of that prison cell.
- 52:35Speaker 16: No way, especially with Igor who was in the cell,
- 52:38Speaker 16: who was in the joint for committing for murderers.
- 52:42Speaker 8: Mark.
- 52:42Speaker 16: Democrats around the world are all the same. They all
- 52:46Speaker 16: have Trump the rangement syndrome. In Italy over the weekend
- 52:51Speaker 16: there was a big brew haha created by the Democrats
- 52:54Speaker 16: because Trump sent Georgia Maloney a letter of thanks for
- 53:01Speaker 16: her support and their friendship and this, that and the other,
- 53:05Speaker 16: and it was on the news and the Democrats want
- 53:09Speaker 16: her to appear before the legislature explaining does this mean
- 53:15Speaker 16: that Italy is going to go to war alongside of
- 53:18Speaker 16: the United States? Now the United States on the Adriatic
- 53:22Speaker 16: coast and elsewhere in Italy has a naval and air
- 53:28Speaker 16: force bases, and in fact here and there, when Obama
- 53:32Speaker 16: closed one of the submarine bases in Sicily, the town
- 53:37Speaker 16: went belly up because the town's income was furnishing the
- 53:42Speaker 16: supplies for the submarine that was over there speaking about Italy, Mark,
- 53:49Speaker 16: you spoke about the Big Arch. They tried it out
- 53:53Speaker 16: in Italy six months ago and it's a huge, huge
- 53:57Speaker 16: I saw it six months ago.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Big McDonald's new Big Arches excellent, Vincent. I want you to
- 54:03Speaker 2: go try one and report back to definitely. What they're
- 54:08Speaker 2: doing is well, Vincent, we got to go for the news.
- 54:10Speaker 2: But thanks for calling everybody. Go try the Big Arch.
- 54:13Speaker 2: I want to review from everybody. I thought it was great. Hey,
- 54:16Speaker 2: coming up next, the greatest pollster in the world, John McLaughlin.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Where does everybody stand in the polls? We'll get to
- 54:22Speaker 2: that next on seven to ten WR.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Give WR O Bri said on the Ieard radio app
- 54:29Speaker 1: to hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in
- 54:33Speaker 1: an instance. Now back to the Mark Simo show on WR.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Well, whenever you see these poles, you read these poles.
- 54:42Speaker 2: These are these junk poles, these fake poles, these college
- 54:45Speaker 2: poles are very cheaply done. They're not very good. Now
- 54:48Speaker 2: behind the scenes, presidents and real candidates pay for the real,
- 54:53Speaker 2: serious polls, the deadly accurate, real polls. And the best
- 54:58Speaker 2: of the bunch is John McLaughlin, who's worked for many
- 55:01Speaker 2: presidents and prime ministers and senators and congressmen. And his
- 55:05Speaker 2: website is McLaughlin online dot com McLachlan online dot com.
- 55:10Speaker 2: John McLaughlin, How you doing.
- 55:13Speaker 8: I'm doing well, Mark. Pleasure to be on the phone
- 55:16Speaker 8: with you again.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Great to have you on. So I don't even know
- 55:19Speaker 2: where to start. Let's take mom, Donnie, this crazy commie
- 55:22Speaker 2: and his wife who's clicking like on October seventh, awful
- 55:27Speaker 2: holocaust and things. How does this happen? We didn't have
- 55:32Speaker 2: this twenty years ago, but these kind of people could
- 55:33Speaker 2: get elected. What is out there in the population that's
- 55:36Speaker 2: getting these people elected.
- 55:39Speaker 8: Well, it's not necessarily the population as much as the
- 55:41Speaker 8: media coverage. Because you remember the first storm where eighteen
- 55:46Speaker 8: people died in the snow or whatever, you know, and
- 55:48Speaker 8: people were shoveling at their own streets. The media coverage
- 55:53Speaker 8: was not really negative. He did do a better job
- 55:55Speaker 8: maybe in the second snow. But you know, the story
- 55:58Speaker 8: what you're talking about, where his wife might have liked
- 56:02Speaker 8: things that terroristed on October seventh of Israel, it really
- 56:06Speaker 8: hasn't been the big story. You know. It's among conservative
- 56:09Speaker 8: outlets that to talk about. Right there, you might read
- 56:12Speaker 8: about the New York Post. You might hear about it
- 56:13Speaker 8: on Fox News, you talk about it, talk ready, it
- 56:16Speaker 8: talks about but the mainstream media is not carrying it.
- 56:18Speaker 8: And they've given him a honeymoon and he's benefiting from that.
- 56:22Speaker 8: And what's what's more serious is you know, like over
- 56:26Speaker 8: a week ago, you know, some police officers got called
- 56:29Speaker 8: to was in Washington Park or something where because of
- 56:33Speaker 8: the snowball fight, and they attacked the police with snowballs
- 56:36Speaker 8: and ice and one of them had to go to
- 56:37Speaker 8: the hospital and he said, it was just a small
- 56:40Speaker 8: snowball fight, right, And now you've got a situation this
- 56:43Speaker 8: weekend where, yeah, there was a there was a guy
- 56:46Speaker 8: who I'd never heard of before, some some what they
- 56:50Speaker 8: call influencer, conservative influencer on social media was protesting outside
- 56:54Speaker 8: of Gracie Manson and then they had these quote unquote
- 56:58Speaker 8: counter protesters come and initially the mayor said that they
- 57:04Speaker 8: threw a smoke a smoke bomb or something like that,
- 57:07Speaker 8: and the media on Saturday night was reporting them as
- 57:09Speaker 8: counter protesters, but they were really Islamisists and of the
- 57:14Speaker 8: two of them got arrested because it seems they had
- 57:17Speaker 8: they threw makeshift bombs that didn't go off, and thank
- 57:21Speaker 8: god they didn't go off because they were built where
- 57:23Speaker 8: they could have caused a lot of damage. Heard a
- 57:24Speaker 8: lot of people, including the police officers that tackled them
- 57:28Speaker 8: to arrest them, and the mayor was just smoke bombs
- 57:33Speaker 8: and his own police commissioner were saying this could have
- 57:35Speaker 8: been really serious, and uh you know, so uh so.
- 57:40Speaker 8: So what I'm saying is the voters in New York
- 57:43Speaker 8: City and New York State and the New York City
- 57:45Speaker 8: media market are not getting the facts from the media
- 57:48Speaker 8: and they're giving Mondomia honeymoon, and through social media and
- 57:53Speaker 8: and other you know, cross pressures, unconventional media, the truth
- 57:58Speaker 8: is getting out and people are getting concerned, they get
- 58:00Speaker 8: worried about it, and uh I you know, it's going
- 58:04Speaker 8: to create a problem for the governor because she's up
- 58:06Speaker 8: for uh you know, reelection this year. In full disclosure,
- 58:10Speaker 8: I work for Bruce Blakeman, and Bruce's got the potential
- 58:13Speaker 8: to beat her. And I think because Mandamie has gotten
- 58:18Speaker 8: this honeymoon in spite of the fact that he wants
- 58:22Speaker 8: to raise property taxes ten percent in New York City,
- 58:24Speaker 8: in spite of the fact he's now talking about they're
- 58:27Speaker 8: floating the idea of charging everybody for parking on the streets.
- 58:32Speaker 8: So so if you if you're in Queen's or Brooklyn
- 58:35Speaker 8: or Style and you have a you want to park
- 58:38Speaker 8: in front of your home, you may get you know,
- 58:40Speaker 8: they're floating the idea that they're going to make you
- 58:42Speaker 8: pay a parking toll or something like that. And because
- 58:46Speaker 8: he can't up until election day, hulkals trying to resist
- 58:50Speaker 8: his his entreaties to her to raise taxes because you
- 58:55Speaker 8: know he wants to. They want to raise taxes. Mandommie
- 58:58Speaker 8: wants to pay for free childcare, where it's going to
- 59:00Speaker 8: cost what thirty six thousand dollars for every two year
- 59:03Speaker 8: old to go to daycare, full daycare or whatever. You
- 59:07Speaker 8: might as well send him to Sunni or Tune. He
- 59:09Speaker 8: sent him to college for that amount of money. It's
- 59:11Speaker 8: cheaper in New York State. So you know, there's a
- 59:16Speaker 8: lot of things going wrong right now.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman, Bruce Blakeman would be a much better
- 59:21Speaker 2: governor than Kathie Oko. Bruce Blakeman common sense and he's
- 59:26Speaker 2: proven himself as a governor of Nassau County's done a
- 59:28Speaker 2: brilliant job. So but what chance does he have poll wise,
- 59:33Speaker 2: electorate wise, Oh.
- 59:35Speaker 8: Well, stay tuned, because I mean Bruce at this point
- 59:39Speaker 8: in time. In twenty twenty one, he was down twenty
- 59:42Speaker 8: four points to the incumbent Kent executive in Nassau County.
- 59:46Speaker 8: He ended up winning on a Mexic on a message
- 59:48Speaker 8: of fighting crime and lowering taxes. And if there's any
- 59:52Speaker 8: state that needs taxes lowered for affordability at New York State,
- 59:56Speaker 8: And over a week ago he ran a statewide campaign
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: about lowering the utility bills because he says he can
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: cut the utility bills in half because New York State
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: is getting destroyed with these mandates on the climate change
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: and other things where the government regulations have artificially increased
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: our utility bills and people, you know, it's been a
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: cold winter and people are getting tough utility bills. But
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: that's just one example of affordability. But the other is
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: the taxes, taxes in New York for the amount of
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: government spending they have. And now you've got doctor Roz
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: saying he's going to investigate medicate fraud in the state
- 1:00:33Speaker 8: and it seems to be pretty significant. So so it's
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: it's there's ways to make New York State a lot
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: more affordable. And Bruce is the type of person because
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: he's proven his record, as you said, as Nasau County executive,
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: he not only stopped tax increases, but he cut taxes.
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: But when he took office, and he hasn't raised taxes
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: since and then and and he's hired hundreds of law
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: enforcement officers at in Nassau County, unlike New York City
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: where they're five thousand shorter ready, and they're talking about,
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: you know, not hiring more police and uh at a
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: time where you know, now with what's going on and
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: ran and overseas, you've got to be concerned with terrorist activity.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: So Bruce is a much much, much better debater. So
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: but how important how crucial is the debate to winning?
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: I think it would be. I think it would be
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: a huge benefit to Bruce because he's done a very
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: good job. But we'll see. She's she's not going to
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: agree that she's trying to when Bruce was. She hasn't
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: agreed to anything yet about debating.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: But you have to you have to agree, don't you
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: to a debate?
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure. She I'm sure she'll be
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: pressed at some point to do that, but she didn't
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: respond to Bruce Is talking about utility rates and being
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: able to cut them in hands. She didn't respond, So
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: she she's been ignoring it. And uh, you know, if anything,
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: they've flowing the idea that some of their climate change
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: regulations have gone too long, gone of course too much.
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: So so I think I think you know it's it's
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: only just the beginning of March. There's plenty of time,
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: and New Yorkers know it. And you know, you got
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: one side that wants to raise taxes, and how can
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: you talk about affordability where you're talking about raising corporate
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: taxes that of course jobs to leave New York and
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: there's been enough of that recently. Or you're talking about
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: raising you know, a millionaire tax. We'll find out we're
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: all wealthy at some point. And the mundomie's putting the
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: pressure on him because he wants to spend.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: We're talking about corporate tax What that is is tariffs,
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Democrat tariffs happening. Hey, before we run out time, we
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: don't got a minute left. If I asked you right
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: now what Republican's chances are in the midterms. Does that
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: mean anything, because it's going to be a whole different
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: world in four months.
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: Well, you know right now, I'm again be very honest.
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: We put out we put out polls in the end
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: of September, part of me the end of January. Last September,
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: we were ahead for most of the year, the Republicans
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: letting the generic vote for Congress. You know, in October
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: we were head forty six forty four, but at some
- 1:03:05Speaker 8: point in November it went one point Democrat. And the
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: poll that we put out in late January early February
- 1:03:14Speaker 8: had the Democrats up by three of the generic ballot.
- 1:03:16Speaker 8: So the Republicans need to go play offense on the issues.
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: Just like the President's State of the Union was great,
- 1:03:24Speaker 8: I mean the he elevated heroes, he gave medals, he
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: had people there. Democrats can't bring themselves to applaud for
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: real American heroes. And at the same time, when he
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: asked them to stand up if you think, you know,
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: we should treat American citizens better than the legal aliens,
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: and the Democrats couldn't do that. And then he even
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: brought up the fact that when they voted against his
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: tax cuts, they voted for tax increases. So the Republicans
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: who need to have a contrast election need to point
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: out that Democrats are for raising taxes, Democrats are forgiving
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: their tax dollars to illegal immigrants. The Democrats are for
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: you know, I mean, this week, with what's going on,
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: I ran, you think some of these media outlets and
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: some of the some of the Democrats, you think they
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: were almost rooting for Iran. And it's like, we really
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: need to make sure they never get a nuclear weapon.
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: And you know, that's what President Trump's doing, and and
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: it's a difficult thing. And God bless our men and
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: women who are there in the Armed service who are serving.
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: Hopefully they're successful and they come back safe.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Well, John McLoughlan, were out of time, but great stuff.
