- 0:07Dayna Roselli: We also have some things to do if you're coming in and you're a deadhead.
- 0:12Sean McAllister: There are changes to the parking policy over at Resorts World.
- 0:16Sean McAllister: We explain what's gonna be a little different.
- 0:18Dayna Roselli: And we chat with Jason DeRulo as he kicks off his new Las Vegas residency.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: It's super fun.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: There's nothing like uh creating something from nothing and um, you know, walking into this room.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: You know, usually you start a show from from zero, but I feel like I was starting the show from from 75.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Because the room is just so beautiful and the room is alive.
- 0:39Sean McAllister: All that and more this week on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:45Sean McAllister: Vegas Revealed presented by Level Up Law starts now.
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: Welcome everyone to Vegas Revealed, episode 223.
- 0:54Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister here.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: Moving right along in 2024, I think it's safe to say Sean Summer is officially here in Vegas terms because we hit 100 today.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: We did.
- 1:08Sean McAllister: And uh I've been wondering when we were gonna hit this milestone.
- 1:12Sean McAllister: But it is here, and I've got the the misters all set up on the back patio so that it's bearable to be outside, and we're in for a nice warm summer.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: Oh, you're ready for a big old air conditioning bill, aren't you?
- 1:26Sean McAllister: Oh, I it's been running so much.
- 1:28Sean McAllister: I'm dreading that bill.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: And we're just at 100.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: Wait till it hits 110.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: And 20.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: Ugh.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: I know.
- 1:35Dayna Roselli: It is the worst when it comes to electricity bills.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: So anyway, um, we're moving right along though, and summer is in full swing.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: We've got all our summer activities kicking up on the strip.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: The pools are packed, we love it.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: Um, something I wanted to hit right at the top of this show is something people have been talking about on social media, and that's the changes to resorts world parking fees and tiers and all that kind of thing.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: So we wanted to get some answers, went right to Resorts World, and we got it all laid out for you.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: So here's what you need to know.
- 2:05Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 2:05Sean McAllister: So um just to give you a little background, up until this point, if you uh were a member of Genting Rewards and you downloaded the Resorts World app, you automatically received free parking.
- 2:19Sean McAllister: You've got a QR code when you pull in and pull out, you just scan it, you get in and out of the garage.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: Well, there's a little bit of a change now.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: So you have to be elite tier in order to get the all-free parking now.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: So anything under that doesn't count.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: Where it used to be, it didn't matter what tier you were.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: And and just to give you some perspective, elite tier is like one up from the entry level tier.
- 2:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so it's not too bad.
- 2:49Sean McAllister: It's not too bad.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: However, I'm not a big gambler, I go on the property to do entertainment and restaurants and shopping.
- 2:57Dayna Roselli: So for me, it is hard to get up to that status.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: Yes, I agree.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: Even though I do go to, you know, restaurants, whatever when I'm over there, and you still can get points for doing that.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: Right.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: Um, you have to be like a regular, a regular patron.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: So anyway, we love Resorts World.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: We're bummed about this because we've talked about on the podcast before how the the free parking with the app is so amazing.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: You just turn on your code.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: So we were bummed, but we reached out to Resorts World and they said, Hey, here's the deal.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: We are still going to have three hours of free parking for all guests, and that kicks up Monday, June 3rd.
- 3:36Dayna Roselli: So I I'm so relieved to hear that.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 3:39Sean McAllister: I mean, because you can get uh for the most part uh visits to casinos if you're popping in for a show, for a dinner, whatever, um, you can do that within the three hour span.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: I think so.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: Generally, most times, right.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: Um, and somebody said, Well, the the walk from the parking garage is is that far, three hours.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, I don't know what garage you're parking at, but the one that we park at is like literally you go down the elevator and you're in the casino.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: It's amazing.
- 4:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, it lets you out like right in front of the Resorts World Theater.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: Now I know that there is another parking garage, um, but I never park there.
- 4:18Sean McAllister: I've only parked there once, and that was like before Resorts World even opened when we went over for like a property tour.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:26Sean McAllister: And all the rest of the time, I go to I go to the other one.
- 4:30Sean McAllister: I know we're so much easier.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: We're looking at each other, like, what's the name of it?
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: I don't know what garage the name is, but it's right there in the back along the road.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: Not there's one off of Gotong Way, and there's one off of Genting Drive or Resorts World Drive.
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: Maybe Resorts World Drive, I think it is.
- 4:49Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: We're we're not being very helpful.
- 4:53Dayna Roselli: Well, we couldn't stop and start over, and like this just came out of nowhere where we got into the parking garage location thing.
- 5:01Dayna Roselli: So listen, don't go to the one that is along the road that is more swervy.
- 5:12Sean McAllister: And definitely do not get directions from us either.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: And connects to Dean Martin.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: No, you want to go to the one along Dean Martin.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: Is it Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra?
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: Well, I think over there or Sammy Davis.
- 5:23Sean McAllister: I think it's Sammy Davis over there.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: Or industrial.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: I love that we have Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, and Frank Sinatra.
- 5:30Sean McAllister: Oh, the rat pack.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: This is the most unhelpful, horrible conversation ever.
- 5:36Sean McAllister: But when you go up the main drive to Resorts World, if you're turning off the Las Vegas strip and you turn on the main driveway, that's where you're gonna find the good parking garage.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: Now I'm getting on my map.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: Resorts World Drive.
- 5:54Sean McAllister: Resorts World Drive.
- 5:55Sean McAllister: Okay, that's what I thought.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: That's what you were right, okay.
- 5:57Dayna Roselli: And then you'd think I used to.
- 5:59Sean McAllister: Gotong Way is the other one, isn't it?
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: Gotong Way is like the is yes, it's the swerve into the the swervy one that kind of goes behind Resorts World.
- 6:10Sean McAllister: Between Resorts World and the fashion show.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: Genting goes to Gotong.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: I think we're just gonna leave this in because it's the most ridiculous conversation.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: And I hope that everyone at home is not like these people are wasting my time.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: This is funny.
- 6:28Dayna Roselli: Because this is literally cracking me up.
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: Okay, so off Las Vegas Boulevard, you turn right on Genting, and there is the parking garage that's attached to Gentine and Gotong.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: Don't park there.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: Park over at the one on Resorts World Drive that attaches to Sammy Davis Drive Jr.
- 6:56Sean McAllister: So basically, we had everything covered.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: Listen, I did traffic on television for a very long period of time, but these roads didn't exist back then.
- 7:05Sean McAllister: They didn't.
- 7:06Sean McAllister: And you were always looking down with a bird's eye view from the helicopter.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: Okay, right.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: There.
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: Excuse.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: Okay, yes.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: Okay, we weren't really gonna go this long on the resorts world parking, but gosh, here we are.
- 7:18Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 7:19Dayna Roselli: Here we are.
- 7:19Dayna Roselli: Listen, as part of Resorts World's committed uh commitment to enrich the guest experience, they say they are offering all guests complimentary parking for up to three hours beginning Monday, June 3rd.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: You don't have to be a local, it's all guests, locals, visitors, you name it.
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: They do also um have valet options ranging from$25 to$75.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: Also, after the free parking is up, just so you know, standard parking rates will apply, and that's at$18 per entry.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: All right.
- 7:49Sean McAllister: Got it.
- 7:50Sean McAllister: Uh Grateful Dead, Dead and Company have been having a very successful residency over at Sphere Las Vegas, and there have been a ton of deadheads filling Las Vegas, and uh we came across some activities that some deadheads might want to go and take advantage of before the show.
- 8:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I would love to say that I just feel like this show is bringing so many people together.
- 8:19Dayna Roselli: People are coming into town, meeting up with other, you know, dead and company fans, and then others that I've seen, like their their husband or their boyfriend, or someone's like, hey, we're gonna go, and then they're like, Wow, this show was amazing.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: I'm officially a fan, but just also the sphere and the show and what they put on the screens and the whole experience has made me a fan.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: So I love it that it's just old fans, new fans, longtime followers, and everyone's coming together and enjoying this experience so much that they had to add shows.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: So that's cool.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: So, because of that, like Sean said, there are some things that maybe those groups of people want to get together and do.
- 9:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, including um Shakedown Street.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: This is over at Tuscany Suites and Casino.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: It's happening every single show day that Dead and Company have a show over at the sphere.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: From 11 a.m.
- 9:15Sean McAllister: to 7 p.m., they have vendors, exhibits, live music.
- 9:20Sean McAllister: It's basically kind of like uh a little street festival that Tuscany is putting on for all the deadheads.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: This is so cool.
- 9:28Dayna Roselli: And you and I did a podcast earlier and were mentioning that Tuscany's really stepping it up because they're realizing it's in just perfect walking distance to the sphere.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: So you cross uh Flamingo Road from the Tuscany.
- 9:43Sean McAllister: This I know from the Tuscany, you cross Flamingo Road and go into the um the Hughes Corporate Center right across the street, and that leads you right over to uh the sphere where you enter and go to the show and have a great time.
- 10:00Dayna Roselli: I know, and maybe you stay at the Tuscany too.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: It's a great option.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: You wake up, you roll outside, get some breakfast, dip in the pool, 11 a.m., you're at the street festival.
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: And you don't even have to get in your car.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: It's and you walk to the sphere.
- 10:13Dayna Roselli: And this is what the deadheads need because a lot of the times they're on some stuff.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: For example, they might want to stop by the Garcia Green Room at Smoke and Mirrors to enjoy a limited edition Garcia handpicked pre-roll prior to the show as well.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: And Smoke and Mirrors is um really one of the the first consumption lounges, uh cannabis consumption lounges that have opened here in Las Vegas.
- 10:48Sean McAllister: And so uh, yeah, they're jumping on this dead bandwagon too.
- 10:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I was just looking at the website, they've also got mocktails over there and different types of infused drinks.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: We've talked about this before, but anyway, they're doing this special pre-roll.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: The Garcia handpicked over there, so that could be fun.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: Um, and they do say do not go out on the strip or walk the streets smoking the stuff.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: Do it at the smoking mirrors.
- 11:19Sean McAllister: Enjoy your pre-roll at the consumption lounge.
- 11:23Sean McAllister: I feel like some people might think we had some pre-rolls before we recorded this.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: Seriously, they really might.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: No, we had coconut cake instead.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: That Tom Cruise cake.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: Oh my god.
- 11:34Dayna Roselli: That's a whole nother thing.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: Okay, let's keep on Dead Forever.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: Dead Forever, the experience is open over at the Venetian.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: It is free, it's open to the public.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: That's another activity that you might want to do if you're in to see Dead in Company over at the sphere.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: Um, this is a really cool experience.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: You and I went to Jason DeRulo, which we're gonna get to in a little bit, but on the way in, we passed the little bears too in the Palazzo Atrium.
- 11:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, they colored they're all, you know, different colored, happy faced bears that are smiling and waving at you right in front of that big waterfall in the atrium.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: And that's kind of like the grateful dead, like kind of their theme, right?
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Their logo is like, they're little mascots.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, they're all mascots.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: That's the colored bear.
- 12:18Sean McAllister: And they're super cute.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: They are so they're doing a lot of different things that people are taking in and enjoying.
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: And hey, that dead forever experience at the Venetian again is free, open to the public.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: So take advantage.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: Listen, go into this uh festival, the Shakedown Street thing, go hang out.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: Um, I mean there's a lot of things to do, and then hit the show.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: We were noticing the show's pretty early too, like 7 30.
- 12:41Sean McAllister: It is.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: I mean, I guess it's not early, early, but you know.
- 12:45Sean McAllister: Well, uh what I will say is after we got and we're about to talk about Jason DeRulo, but I'll just keep mentioning until we actually talk about him.
- 12:53Sean McAllister: When we got out of that show, it was pretty late.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: Uh it was, I don't know, like 12 30 ish ish around there.
- 13:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: Um and there were still a lot of people who were walking around uh the Venetian palazzo with their Grateful Dead t-shirts on, who had probably been to the show and then, you know, were filtering out.
- 13:16Sean McAllister: So I think people are taking full advantage of all the experiences that that surround the show too.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I agree.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: I think this this is such an example of like everything is not for everyone.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: I was like dead in company, you know.
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: I had to do some research so that we would know what we were talking about.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: But I was like, okay, John Mayer and then met for you know, former members of the Grateful Dead, okay, I get it.
- 13:39Dayna Roselli: But then it like you know, sold really well.
- 13:41Dayna Roselli: Now they're adding shows, but even watching some of the video and seeing some of the reactions from people, I'm kind of like, I'd go see that now.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: Like, and I had really no idea what it was all about.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: But and then showing the you know, seeing all the the people in town for this show and loving it, I'm like, okay, see, you know, it doesn't something doesn't have to be for everyone.
- 14:03Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: It needs to be for a large amount of people who love it, spread the word, bring others into it.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: They spread the word, that's what it's all about, and these guys are huge.
- 14:14Sean McAllister: Well, and uh like you were mentioning before, it brings people together, fans from you know, I have a buddy from college who loves the dead, and as soon as these shows were announced, he posted on Facebook, he was like, Okay, who's coming with me to Vegas?
- 14:32Sean McAllister: And people started chiming in, you know, our college friends who've dispersed all over the country.
- 14:37Sean McAllister: They're like, I'll meet you there.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: Let's go.
- 14:40Sean McAllister: So people are it's bringing these groups of people together again who maybe haven't seen each other in decades.
- 14:46Sean McAllister: And it is an experience.
- 14:48Sean McAllister: And by the way, those uh added shows are coming up in August, August 1st through the 10th.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: Um, that brings the number of shows that Dead and Company are doing over at Sphere to 30.
- 15:01Sean McAllister: 30 shows.
- 15:02Sean McAllister: That's a lot.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: That's it.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: That is, I like seeing that.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: I know, I do too.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: I I'm telling you, some of those images I see online, I'm like, this is cool, really cool.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: So glad to hear it.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: Um, also at the Venetian, like we had mentioned, we went over to see Jason DeRulo and um he just kicked off a new show at Voltaire.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: He's gonna be there all summer.
- 15:21Dayna Roselli: He's got dates in June, July, August.
- 15:24Dayna Roselli: Jason is doing a really intimate show because he's used to doing arenas and stuff.
- 15:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, he just got off uh an international arena tour and then came back to the States, came back home, put together this show specifically designed for Voltaire.
- 15:42Sean McAllister: It's unlike any other shows that that he has done in his professional career.
- 15:48Sean McAllister: And when we went over and and talked to him, he said he's really excited about this.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: Thank you very much.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: This is like your first residency here.
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: Um the timing's right, it feels good.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, it feels incredible.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: Um it's unbelievable.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: It's a lot of hours.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: Um but it's it's super fun.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: There's nothing like uh creating something from nothing and um you know walking into this room.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: You know, usually you start a show from from zero, but I feel like I was starting the show from 75.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: The room is just so beautiful and the room is alive, you know.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: So I wanted to have this 360 perspective because everywhere you turn in this in this place is beautiful.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: So I wanted to utilize every inch.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: Um so uh there's a lot of moving parts, but we are literally crawling with you on these couches and on these bars and everywhere.
- 16:48Sean McAllister: And obviously, you're developing your own show with your own spin on things, but are there headliners from Vegas past that you're pulling from?
- 16:57Sean McAllister: Because this is kind of an iconic moment.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: Um, yes.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: I I think, you know, to put to put a show on like this, I mean, it's impossible not to uh utilize the essence of Vegas.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: You know, I think it was important for me to um, you know, dive into the culture of what Vegas has always been, uh, and then also add my new spice.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: Um because at one point I I felt like I was like, am I going a little to Vegas?
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Um I had to dump it back a little bit because I want to make sure that I'm bringing Jason DeRula to Vegas, but at the same time creating uh a totally different experience that people have never seen from me.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: So even if you've seen me before, this is an entirely uh different way to see me.
- 17:44Dayna Roselli: And this is such an intimate room, first of all.
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: I mean, that's gotta be a little different for you.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: You just got off an arena tour.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, so an arena tour is, you know, 15,000, 20,000 people, and this is a totally different kind of experience.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: So I wanted I wanted to make sure that it felt different as well.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna bring an arena show uh in here because uh it's it's a it's a different experience, right?
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: So being that I can see everybody's faces and they can see mine, and I can literally touch so many people in the room, I want that to be a literal thing and and a uh uh you know uh something that that people would would go home with and be like, literally, Jason was like right there in my face, you know, and I have those special moments in my arena tour, but the entire show feels like that.
- 18:31Sean McAllister: Well, and given the fact that you are up close and personal with your audience and you can see people, um you don't want people walking in in shorts and flip-flops off the street, right?
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: Tell me, what do you want your audience to look like when they show up for this show?
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, whatever you feel comfortable in, I'm I'm I'm personally good with.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Um, but I think you should know the vibe that I'm going for so that you can kind of match.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: Um we're we're we're doing suits and ties, we're doing street wear as well.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: Um so like whatever you feel comfortable in.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: I don't want people to feel like, if I don't have like a suit, I'm not going.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: No, it's not like that.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: Um but it is a very it it it does feel like an upscale night.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: So what what whatever you feel like you look good in, I want you to feel good when you walk in.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: So whatever that is to you.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: But it's an occasion.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: You look at the walls and you're just like, you know it's an occasion.
- 19:25Dayna Roselli: It's an occasion.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: Do you visit Vegas a lot?
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: Is this some place that you you've come to, party, family, anything?
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: Um over the years?
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: Over the years, I mean it's hard not to come to Vegas.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: I think uh Vegas has to be one of the the most places I frequent in America.
- 19:42Sean McAllister: Do you expect to explore kind of the more family side of Las Vegas now that you're gonna be spending a good chunk of time out here?
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: I think I'm gonna need some some tips because I didn't even I didn't even I don't even know that side.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: We got a list for new daddy, so I need the I mean tell me the mom, please.
- 19:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know, my mom does Zumba class, and I said I'm going to interview Jason Darullo, and she was like, Oh, we do Zumba to spicy margarita.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: That's incredible.
- 20:10Dayna Roselli: You're gonna get all the HP.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: That's amazing, but tell your mother this.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: I said hello, and please, please, she has a special invite by me.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Please have it come.
- 20:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was really funny.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: I sent the clip to my mother, and now in the Zumba group chat, it's a whole thing.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: They watch it over and over and they're so excited.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: It's like they feel like they were all mentioned.
- 20:32Sean McAllister: I love that there's a group chat.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: There is Zumba group chat.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: What time you get in there?
- 20:36Dayna Roselli: What are we wearing today?
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: It's a Halloween theme.
- 20:38Dayna Roselli: There's all sorts of different discussions.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: There's themes around the holidays.
- 20:41Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, they're gonna need to do a special spicy margarita themed uh Zumba class.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 20:50Sean McAllister: Come in their favorite spicy outfit.
- 20:52Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: We went to the show um and saw it.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: And we I had a blast.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: I thought it was really good that he, first of all, did all the hits.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: And when I say hits, if you're kind of like, I know Jason Durul, but I know no, you know every one of his songs.
- 21:05Dayna Roselli: All of them.
- 21:06Dayna Roselli: Especially if you listen to pop radio, RB, anything.
- 21:10Dayna Roselli: Um, so I was I wrote down some of the most like popular ones, but there's the wiggle.
- 21:14Sean McAllister: Yeah, you know, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, right?
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: Do talk dirty, talk dirty to me.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: In my head, in my head, that one.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: Whatcha say?
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: Whatcha say.
- 21:32Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 21:33Sean McAllister: See, even when you say the names, like I know, but I know it.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: What you say, I know.
- 21:38Dayna Roselli: Listen, the music's copyrighted, so we can't play it here.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: So we gotta sing it for you.
- 21:42Sean McAllister: And then he's got the um he's Jason Darulo has done so many collaborations with so many other artists, too.
- 21:49Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 21:50Sean McAllister: So you have one hundred percent.
- 21:53Sean McAllister: I what I did, I put on the um I just typed Jason Darulo into my Spotify and just started playing all the music.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: I was like, oh my God, I know this one.
- 22:02Sean McAllister: And that all of them, every single one.
- 22:04Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: I discovered his song with Megan Trainor during that show, which I hadn't heard before.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: And I looked it up.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: It didn't come out too long ago.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: So it's newer.
- 22:13Dayna Roselli: And I was like, I love this song.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: I love what he did with it.
- 22:16Dayna Roselli: It almost sounds like an oldies, but he's got some good stuff out there.
- 22:19Dayna Roselli: So look Jason up.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: Um, come to see his show because the dancers are great.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: He does a little bit of, like he said, it's like a little throwback to Vegas, but keeps, you know, his current stuff.
- 22:30Dayna Roselli: It was fun, and that that room is great.
- 22:33Sean McAllister: It is.
- 22:33Sean McAllister: I mean, it's like being at a nightclub and seeing a headliner performing literally right in front of you.
- 22:40Sean McAllister: He walked, you know, right by the booth where we were sitting.
- 22:43Sean McAllister: And it is, it's a fun show.
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: They spread it out real nice too, though.
- 22:48Dayna Roselli: And I felt like the only difference between like like sometimes in a nightclub, you kind of feel like all moshed together.
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: I thought the spacing was is really well done in there.
- 22:57Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of people, some are sitting, some are standing, but it didn't feel like you couldn't move.
- 23:02Sean McAllister: It did not.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: I liked that.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: No.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: And by the way, the spicy margaritas that they serve there over at Voltaire are really good.
- 23:09Sean McAllister: Oh, good to know.
- 23:10Sean McAllister: I had a couple.
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: Who was there when we were there?
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: There was a celebrity.
- 23:13Sean McAllister: Um T Pain and Tiny.
- 23:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 23:17Sean McAllister: T Pain and Tiny.
- 23:18Dayna Roselli: And then, of course, the uh the twins, the famous twin dancers.
- 23:21Sean McAllister: The twins.
- 23:22Sean McAllister: The twins.
- 23:23Sean McAllister: You might know them from being on tour with Beyonce, too.
- 23:26Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 23:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they are popular.
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: All right, let's take a quick break to get a message from our title sponsor, Level Up Law.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: Level Up Law is looking to help you.
- 23:36SPEAKER_02: You might have heard about the recent lawsuits surrounding Ozempic.

- 23:41SPEAKER_02: Unfortunately, a lot of people have been experiencing some serious issues from taking semi or trzepatides, including severe vomiting, hospitalization, pancreatic issues.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: The list goes on and on.

- 24:19SPEAKER_02: Remember, you're not alone.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: Level Up Law has got your back.
- 24:24Sean McAllister: All right, Dana, you know what time it is?
- 24:27Sean McAllister: Tips time.
- 24:28Sean McAllister: Tip time.
- 24:33Sean McAllister: Recently, as part of our video production side of our business, Insightful Media, we had a video shoot over at Resorts World.
- 24:41Sean McAllister: It was over in the district.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: That's their retail and dining section of the resort.
- 24:47Sean McAllister: Uh, and our video location was inside Barzazu.
- 24:51Sean McAllister: And we we when we went inside, we were like, oh my gosh, we need to talk about this place.
- 24:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, not only was it gorgeous, but we found out they have live music every night that they're open.
- 25:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 25:00Dayna Roselli: And we were like, oh, look at this cool stage, this little stage.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: And like, yeah, you know, free live music.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: I'm like, we have to tell people about this.
- 25:08Dayna Roselli: So it doesn't open till 5 p.m., which is why we were in there before it opened doing the actual setup for this shoot.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: But um it's open Thursday to Monday, and it's 5 p.m.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: to 10 p.m.
- 25:22Dayna Roselli: with the menu, drinks, everything like that.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: But the live music, and this is a long period of time, is is there from 6 to 9 p.m.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: nightly.
- 25:29Sean McAllister: That's a perfect time period, too.
- 25:30Sean McAllister: That's great.
- 25:31Sean McAllister: Like just the tail end of happy hour, dinner time, just to pop out, hear some live music, grab a cocktail, some light bites, all that.
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: And and they have great cocktails there.
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: They have tapas, they have a mental menu.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, I think people would really enjoy this um place for live music and just you know, if it's not dinner, like Sean said, maybe just a cocktail and some tapas.
- 25:56Sean McAllister: And you know what was so funny?
- 25:57Sean McAllister: When we were standing and we were setting up our video equipment, and um Dana was looking at one of the pictures on the wall, and she just kind of stopped in her tracks.
- 26:08Sean McAllister: And Dana, you looked at me, you were like, Wait a minute, like, is this picture moving or did I not drink enough water today?
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: I know it was moving.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: I was like, what is going on here?
- 26:20Sean McAllister: And it's really cool.
- 26:22Sean McAllister: They have really beautiful uh pictures up on the wall, but they come to life in such a unique way.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: The colorings in there, the the yeah, the the whole thing.
- 26:35Sean McAllister: Pinks, purples, blues.
- 26:37Sean McAllister: It's gorgeous.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we're gonna do this on our TV show too.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: We got some video of inside.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: So we always put that up on our YouTube, or you can just look it up.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: But I was looking at just like some of the for the menu, like the main things that they have in case people are like, well, what kind of resident restaurant is it?
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: Um, they have like the Zazu burger, they have the Chilean sea bass, roasted prime rib sandwich.
- 26:58Dayna Roselli: Um so they have skirt steak, uh, roasted bone marrow, too, for two.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: That's one of their specials.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: They have pizzas, and then like I mentioned, the tapas and the sweets and all that kind of thing.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: So uh check it out, Bar Zazu.
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: We were like, we have to let people know about this.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: It's really cool.
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: And sometimes, you know, places are are in a place that in a resort that maybe you you don't walk by all the time and you don't know they're there.
- 27:20Dayna Roselli: So FYI, we got you covered.
- 27:23Sean McAllister: We do.
- 27:24Sean McAllister: Hey, um, since you are podcast listeners, we wanted to let you know about another Las Vegas-based podcast that kind of dives into the CD history of our city.
- 27:39Sean McAllister: And we're letting you know about this because it is really interesting stuff.
- 27:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and and it's this has been launched by the Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement that we have here in town, one of our very popular museums.
- 27:53Dayna Roselli: It's a great place, by the way.
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: Um, but they have launched a podcast, it's all original, it's called Inside the Life, and you can stream it across all the platforms.
- 28:02Dayna Roselli: It's hosted by former elite undercover agents.
- 28:07Dayna Roselli: And a bunch of the episodes, few episodes, I think, are already up and posted.
- 28:12Dayna Roselli: And so, anyway, they delve into a lot of interesting topics.
- 28:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, and kind of take you through the the dangerous world of undercover work that these guys have done, and they bring on guests who you know can offer even more color and stories and insights into what it's like to uncover the underworld of organized crime.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: I can only imagine it's really interesting.
- 28:39Dayna Roselli: I just actually subscribed, so I'm gonna start listening, but I look forward to this.
- 28:42Sean McAllister: I mean, that stuff is fascinating, and you know, when you consider the fact that organized crime and the mob really were instrumental in turning Las Vegas into what it has become today.
- 28:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:58Sean McAllister: I mean, it's an important part of our city's history.
- 29:03Sean McAllister: Right.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: And we learned a lot when we went over to the El Cortez recently, too.
- 29:06Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:07Dayna Roselli: You know, about just you know, like the the Fremont bought the bosses of Fremont, you know, the because downtown was the original Las Vegas.
- 29:15Sean McAllister: Right.
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: You know, the strip was came later.
- 29:17Sean McAllister: Bugsy Siegel started the El Cortez.
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: So so interesting, right?
- 29:21Dayna Roselli: There's just so much history here.
- 29:23Dayna Roselli: I we recommend that too.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: Like if you get a moment and you come into town and you're visiting, like go do some of this stuff.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: Take a day, go around to some of the old spots, hit the mob museum, go to the old hotels.
- 29:34Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of things, things on the walls.
- 29:36Dayna Roselli: There's a lot, there are a lot of people that work at these places that will talk to you and tell you stories.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:41Sean McAllister: Also, over at the Springs Preserve, which also has like a Nevada State Museum kind of over on the same grounds, but the Springs Preserve has recreated like the original uh Main Street of Las Vegas, the old train depot, the original saloons, uh, the the cottages that the railway workers lived in.
- 30:07Sean McAllister: They have a couple of the original cottages that have been rebuilt and constructed over there.
- 30:13Sean McAllister: But I say that because it does give you you can walk through what Las Vegas used to look like.
- 30:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's cool.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: We do have a lot of places.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: You just gotta, you know, uh take the time to do it.
- 30:26Dayna Roselli: Because I know people get excited, they come to Vegas, they want to hit the slot machines, they want to go out.
- 30:30Dayna Roselli: But if you take the time to do, like I said, set it set a day or two aside to do some of the stuff, I I don't think you'll regret it.
- 30:36Sean McAllister: No, not at all.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: Um, speaking of the live machine, the live machine.
- 30:42Sean McAllister: How were you?
- 30:43Sean McAllister: What were you thinking?
- 30:44Dayna Roselli: The mob museum live music.
- 30:46Dayna Roselli: They just mesh together.
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: I mean, I swear we didn't like have any pre-rolls before this show.
- 30:52Dayna Roselli: What is a pre-roll?
- 30:54Dayna Roselli: Anyway, what's the pre-part?
- 30:55Sean McAllister: Well, it's already rolled for you, so you don't have to roll your own uh cannabis cigarette.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: Got it.
- 31:01Dayna Roselli: Uh pre-rolled for you.
- 31:02Dayna Roselli: Okay, I didn't know if it was like before before you actually do the roll.
- 31:07Dayna Roselli: Okay, I was confused.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: Anyway, the mom museum also has live music.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: I'm not gonna read off the calendar, but when they sent the calendar out and we were doing the the podcast about you know, the mom museum put out, I thought, let's let people know again about this.
- 31:20Dayna Roselli: They have an underground speakeasy and distillery.
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: The cost is free to get in.
- 31:25Dayna Roselli: So you have to the free entry is at the secret side door.
- 31:29Dayna Roselli: So, you know, visitors need to know the password, and the password is published daily on Instagram stories at mobmuseum underscore underground.
- 31:41Dayna Roselli: You gotta get the password in order to get in.
- 31:44Sean McAllister: That's how speakeasies work.
- 31:46Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 31:46Sean McAllister: You gotta let the guy at the door know the password.
- 31:50Dayna Roselli: So they have like jazz age music there, a whole lineup of different people.
- 31:53Dayna Roselli: Got and they go till late, like 8 p.m.
- 31:55Dayna Roselli: to 12 a.m.
- 31:56Dayna Roselli: on Fridays.
- 31:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's how that's how these speakeasies roll.
- 31:59Sean McAllister: And of course, there's uh a bunch of Prohibition era artifacts, there's cocktails inspired by the era too.
- 32:06Sean McAllister: So that's another uh great destination downtown.
- 32:10Dayna Roselli: We have a lot, a lot of great stuff in Las Vegas.
- 32:13Dayna Roselli: We're also going to put in the interview that we did with the chairman of the El Cortez over there about all the big um changes they're making.
- 32:21Dayna Roselli: The El Cortez has been around for a very long time in downtown Las Vegas since the 40s, and they're currently doing a$20 million reinvestment plan.
- 32:31Dayna Roselli: And so we went over and talked to Kenny Epstein.
- 32:33Dayna Roselli: We'll have that for you next week.
- 32:35Sean McAllister: All right.
- 32:36Sean McAllister: Well, we have done a lot of talking this week.
- 32:38Sean McAllister: We sure have.
- 32:39Sean McAllister: We've gone down lots of uh different side paths.
- 32:45Dayna Roselli: We are hoping you're enjoying the show.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: We thank our subscribers for donating and allowing us to be able to do this and add some extra time into our very busy schedule and you know, taking the time to go do some of these things, let you know, do some research.
- 33:00Dayna Roselli: Um, I swear we'll be on better top form next week.
- 33:03Dayna Roselli: Uh, we are sorry about this silliness today.
- 33:05Dayna Roselli: I guess we're tired.
- 33:06Dayna Roselli: We actually have actually been working really, really hard and around the clock.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: It's just a busy time in Las Vegas right now.
- 33:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is.
- 33:13Dayna Roselli: So um also we want to thank our sponsor, a Vegas Near Me, uh free app that you can download easily in, you know, the iPhone store, the app store there, or Google Play.
- 33:25Sean McAllister: And uh big thank you to our presenting sponsor, Level Up Law.
- 33:30Sean McAllister: If you need any uh legal help, give them a call.
- 33:33Sean McAllister: The number is 855 Level Up, or you can find them at leveluplaw.com.
- 33:41Dayna Roselli: Have a great week, everyone.
