Welcome to this week's "Distinguished Estarilla" show 5 00:00:20,000 --> 00:00:24,000 Episode 816 for October 2nd, 2025 6 00:00:24,000 --> 00:00:29,000 What would your NXT No Mercy recap edition of "S" are? 7 00:00:29,000 --> 00:00:31,000 R-T-U 8 00:00:31,000 --> 00:00:33,000 I am one-up the show 9 00:00:33,000 --> 00:00:35,000 I am Jeff Peck 10 00:00:35,000 --> 00:00:38,000 Join every single week in my coach's lower, Dr. Franklin 11 00:00:38,000 --> 00:00:39,000 Dr. Trey 12 00:00:39,000 --> 00:00:41,000 By the time everybody downloads this 13 00:00:41,000 --> 00:00:45,000 They will know how our favorite team has did in the MLB post season, my friend 14 00:00:45,000 --> 00:00:51,000 It is weird to be recording this show as I think the Cubs game just started 15 00:00:51,000 --> 00:00:57,000 Your Yankees play at 7 o'clock in my time, I believe 16 00:00:57,000 --> 00:00:59,000 Yeah, 8 o'clock in mine thanks 17 00:00:59,000 --> 00:01:01,000 Yeah, it's literally like 18 00:01:01,000 --> 00:01:05,000 Win or go home for both teams tonight 19 00:01:05,000 --> 00:01:10,000 So it's a look, we can talk about wrestling because right now Jeff and I are completely stressed out 20 00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:16,000 I've already pulled all my hair out, I haven't had any for years because I've been a Cubs fan since I for 41 years 21 00:01:16,000 --> 00:01:22,000 Jeff just refuses to go back because he goes to Yankees stadium and sits in direct sunlight 22 00:01:22,000 --> 00:01:25,000 Yeah, that's true, and I just explode, literally explode 23 00:01:25,000 --> 00:01:28,000 As a human being, catch fire people may say 24 00:01:28,000 --> 00:01:33,000 Dr. Trey, the older we get right in your sports fandom 25 00:01:33,000 --> 00:01:39,000 And I experienced this last year with the Yankees, I've experienced it at times with the Packers when they made it 26 00:01:39,000 --> 00:01:44,000 I don't get as nervous as I used to or have the anxiety that I used to 27 00:01:44,000 --> 00:01:50,000 Unless it's like the ALCS, NFC Championship, Super Bowl World Series levels 28 00:01:50,000 --> 00:01:58,000 There's part of me that's obviously nervous and definitely wants the Yankees to defeat the boss and Red Sox tonight 29 00:01:58,000 --> 00:02:05,000 But I don't get as nervous as I used to as that's just age or we just like focus on other things in our lives right now 30 00:02:05,000 --> 00:02:11,000 I think part of us is like, so when I was a kid growing up and I'm a little bit older than you 31 00:02:11,000 --> 00:02:15,000 There was no wild card rounds, really 32 00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:22,000 So this is all kind of new, like if the Cubs got, you know, in 1984 when I became a Cubs fan 33 00:02:22,000 --> 00:02:25,000 It was literally like, NFCS right away 34 00:02:25,000 --> 00:02:30,000 There was only the National League West, the National League East, in AL West and AL East 35 00:02:30,000 --> 00:02:35,000 Whoever won those divisions, those two teams are squaring off for a chance to go the World Series 36 00:02:35,000 --> 00:02:37,000 So that was really stressful 37 00:02:37,000 --> 00:02:40,000 And then when they added in the one wild card team and had three divisions 38 00:02:40,000 --> 00:02:46,000 It's still a little bit nerve-racking but as the playoffs have expanded 39 00:02:46,000 --> 00:02:53,000 I have gotten less nervous because I'm just like, hey if we lose in the wild card round we weren't going to be good enough to get there anyway 40 00:02:53,000 --> 00:03:01,000 I think what it is is the closer you get to the championship, the more you can kind of taste it and want it and feel it 41 00:03:01,000 --> 00:03:03,000 But like right now this is still the wild card round 42 00:03:03,000 --> 00:03:06,000 I'm like we still got like two more rounds before we get to the World Series 43 00:03:06,000 --> 00:03:11,000 So if the Cubs don't make it this year, I'm like alright that's fine, they probably shouldn't have been there anyway 44 00:03:11,000 --> 00:03:17,000 So I just think the playoffs have diluted the early playoff fandom 45 00:03:17,000 --> 00:03:24,000 But the closer you get to the actual championship, the more it really sinks in and takes hold of you 46 00:03:24,000 --> 00:03:30,000 Yeah, it's just strange I think it's, you know, there's part of that where you're absolutely right 47 00:03:30,000 --> 00:03:40,000 I think there's too many rounds nowadays and in sports playoffs it's kind of lost that luster 48 00:03:40,000 --> 00:03:46,000 And I know the NFL just added like a 17 and my team benefited from that multiple years 49 00:03:46,000 --> 00:03:54,000 Now it just feels like it gets watered down like what are there 14 teams in the American League and Nationally in baseball 50 00:03:54,000 --> 00:04:02,000 And six of them make the playoffs like that's legitimately nearly half of every team makes it in the league 51 00:04:02,000 --> 00:04:07,000 So I don't know I mean I'm pumped up I love sports I love the playoffs I love games that are meaningful 52 00:04:07,000 --> 00:04:14,000 But yeah it's like the farther you are away from the championship rounds it's like I don't get as bent as I used to 53 00:04:14,000 --> 00:04:16,000 So I guess that's just part of the growth 54 00:04:16,000 --> 00:04:26,000 I was gonna come back next week if the Cubs and Yankees both win and we're in the divisional series that anxiety level kick up a little bit 55 00:04:26,000 --> 00:04:34,000 And then in two and a half weeks if they if for some reason the Cubs and Yankees make it to the championship series of their divisions 56 00:04:34,000 --> 00:04:43,000 Then we'll really be feeling it but yeah like early just early wild card round things like if you know I think the Cubs got swept a couple of years 57 00:04:43,000 --> 00:04:52,000 I think it might have been like 2019 or 2020 we got swept in the wild card round it didn't really phase me I was just like oh that sucks 58 00:04:52,000 --> 00:04:59,000 All right season's over I'll wait another you know nine months for baseball to start back up or three months for baseball start back up 59 00:04:59,000 --> 00:05:07,000 But that's a baseball the turnaround time so fast also season ends in like November and we're starting up in March 60 00:05:07,000 --> 00:05:15,000 So it's not like it's not like the NFL like if the Packers lose in December you're not seeing them again until September of the following year 61 00:05:15,000 --> 00:05:24,000 So there's just so much of a time lapse in the football season I think the football playoffs do get me a little more antsy than the baseball playoffs 62 00:05:24,000 --> 00:05:32,000 True that is true and what with baseball right like you know there's five games three games seven games NFL it's just one so yeah 63 00:05:32,000 --> 00:05:41,000 Yeah I definitely think that plays a big role into it and I think that makes a case for a AWW TNA 64 00:05:41,000 --> 00:05:48,000 It's time to bring back like playoffs right let's do some playoffs let's do King of the Ring again let's do continental classic 65 00:05:48,000 --> 00:05:56,000 I guess the closest thing to like a championship round we're getting Dr. Trey is in what 10 days with Cronjul where it's champion versus champion 66 00:05:56,000 --> 00:06:04,000 And I guess in a way NXT versus TNA in their showdown in in next week next Tuesday 67 00:06:04,000 --> 00:06:14,000 Yeah I mean King of the Ring now with having a world title matches on the line does increase that anticipation the rumble 68 00:06:14,000 --> 00:06:23,000 The rumble to me has always been like WW's playoff like you got 30 guys or 30 women one spot 69 00:06:23,000 --> 00:06:29,000 And it's basically you know it's kind of like you know do or die like if you don't win you don't get that shot 70 00:06:29,000 --> 00:06:37,000 So that's kind of the closest comparison the continental classic I like it but it's kind of like the G1 in New Japan 71 00:06:37,000 --> 00:06:46,000 Where's like if you're not paying attention to the point totals it kind of throws you off like I like the Owen the Owen Hart Memorial tournaments 72 00:06:46,000 --> 00:06:51,000 I like those the King I like the more win and go home March Madness style 73 00:06:51,000 --> 00:07:00,000 Yeah I think these round robin accumulate points like TNA used to do that as well they had one of their tournaments 74 00:07:00,000 --> 00:07:08,000 And like that kind of led to battle for glory whereas like round robin everybody wrestles everybody who has the most points advances 75 00:07:08,000 --> 00:07:14,000 It's like NASCAR NASCAR has the same system and I just hate it because I lose track of you know where everybody's at 76 00:07:14,000 --> 00:07:23,000 Well yeah I mean I grew up as a big NASCAR fan I've no idea how the playoff system works nowadays and I also don't watch it as much as I used to but it's another podcast for another day 77 00:07:23,000 --> 00:07:31,000 But yeah so that's what's going on the one for World of Doctor for I can myself this week here lots to go on but by the time most of you listen 78 00:07:31,000 --> 00:07:36,000 And it's probably all of you listen to this you will know the result of Cubs Padres and Yankees Red Sox 79 00:07:36,000 --> 00:07:43,000 So you're hearing this before we know what the hell is going on so I guess from both Dr. Treni hello to the future 80 00:07:43,000 --> 00:07:50,000 Moving along here Dr. Treni we had NXT no mercy this past Saturday from the the War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale Florida 81 00:07:50,000 --> 00:07:57,000 Javon Evans defeated Josh Bragg's Soul Rooka defeated Jada Parker to retain the women's speed championship 82 00:07:57,000 --> 00:08:00,000 Jordan Grace defeats Blake Monroe in a weapon I steal cage match 83 00:08:00,000 --> 00:08:04,000 Ethan Page defeats Tavion Evans to retain the NXT North American championship 84 00:08:04,000 --> 00:08:12,000 JC Jand defeats Lola vice to retain the NXT women's championship and Ricky Saints defeats Oba Femi to win the NXT championship 85 00:08:12,000 --> 00:08:22,000 I guess the first point in the overall show Dr. Treni I must say I thought this was a like you know a step up of a regular solid addition of NXT 86 00:08:22,000 --> 00:08:29,000 It's not something that I would like go back to and rewatch it certainly didn't blow my socks off in any type of way 87 00:08:29,000 --> 00:08:37,000 But I just thought like oh that was a really solid and fun wrestling show by the end of the night did you feel the same way when you watch no mercy this past Saturday 88 00:08:37,000 --> 00:08:44,000 Yeah I mean the weapon I steal cage matches cool because you wouldn't see that on regular NXT programming 89 00:08:44,000 --> 00:08:50,000 But all the other matches I felt like hey these could be main events of regular Tuesday night shows 90 00:08:50,000 --> 00:09:06,000 Yeah maybe not Oba Femi Ricky Saints because they do try to keep the NXT title matches for you know PLEs but I thought the Saints Femi match and then Jordan Grace Blake Monroe those were a little bit special in just not regular programming type matches 91 00:09:06,000 --> 00:09:13,000 But everything else I agree with you kind of felt like a souped up addition of a NXT on Tuesday nights 92 00:09:13,000 --> 00:09:21,000 What do you think about Ricky Saints defeating Oba Femi to win the NXT Championship? That is probably the one match I did not enjoy 93 00:09:21,000 --> 00:09:27,000 I thought the finish looked like it came out of nowhere Ricky was working the underdog which as he should for most of the match 94 00:09:27,000 --> 00:09:35,000 And it like took the tornado DDT off the ropes to just get the one two three and it shocked me it shocked the audience watching live 95 00:09:35,000 --> 00:09:44,000 I'm sure it shocked most people watching not the best finisher but he can't get the Rochembo on Oba Femi in any type of way 96 00:09:44,000 --> 00:09:51,000 What did you think of the match and were you surprised by the result that they've gone forward with giving Ricky Saints the NXT Championship? 97 00:09:51,000 --> 00:09:59,000 So I thought the match was like it wasn't a bad match but it wasn't a great match and I think part of it is 98 00:09:59,000 --> 00:10:08,000 Oba Femi has a little bit of the Brock Lesnar type field to him back when Lesnar was just dominating everybody and we just used to expect Oba Femi to lose 99 00:10:08,000 --> 00:10:15,000 And then we seen Oba Femi like kick out of stuff way worse than a tornado DDT 100 00:10:15,000 --> 00:10:22,000 Like when was the last time we saw a tornado DDT as a finisher like Ultimo Dragon and WCW in 98 101 00:10:22,000 --> 00:10:30,000 Like I mean that's like it just doesn't it just kind of felt like he was like oh crap times running short 102 00:10:30,000 --> 00:10:33,000 Guys come up with something to send the match home 103 00:10:33,000 --> 00:10:37,000 It just it we've never seen Ricky Saints use it as a finisher 104 00:10:37,000 --> 00:10:41,000 We've never really even seen it seen him use it for as a false finish 105 00:10:41,000 --> 00:10:45,000 Because it's just not a move that people use anymore like that 106 00:10:45,000 --> 00:10:55,000 So I mean this is Oba Femi how many how many how many of a Javon's cutters did Oba kick out of just a few weeks ago like three 107 00:10:55,000 --> 00:11:02,000 And then here's a tornado DDT that does them in it's like that guys like that just seemed a little bit of a weak finish 108 00:11:02,000 --> 00:11:07,000 Like I get you can't get the Rochambo but use somebody else's finisher 109 00:11:07,000 --> 00:11:11,000 Like if Ricky Saints use the Crossroads right there I don't think you and I would have batted an Iaxe 110 00:11:11,000 --> 00:11:19,000 We're like oh Cody helped train Ricky Saints it makes sense there you go an alternate finisher it would have worked 111 00:11:19,000 --> 00:11:23,000 But to use a tornado DDT kind of makes it feel a little lackluster 112 00:11:23,000 --> 00:11:30,000 I'm not surprised that they put the belt on Ricky Saints because it kind of feels like he's there 113 00:11:30,000 --> 00:11:37,000 I don't know I don't want to say Golden Boy of NXT but it does kind of feel like look we we see a lot in him 114 00:11:37,000 --> 00:11:50,000 We think he can do a lot down the line on the main roster I think they just he's one of those guys they just kind of have a bunch of faith in to do all the right stuff in a couple of years on the main roster 115 00:11:50,000 --> 00:11:58,000 So I'm not shot by the finish or the but the result but the way they got to the result was kind of surprised 116 00:11:58,000 --> 00:12:05,000 Yeah that that was certainly it was like just anti-climatic in every way possible and not a very good match 117 00:12:05,000 --> 00:12:14,000 The future of Oba Femi here Dr. Trey is one that is being obviously discussed when you see something like this take place you often wonder is the next step the main roster 118 00:12:14,000 --> 00:12:20,000 Do you expect to see Oba Femi on Smackdown this Friday or even Raw this upcoming Monday now? 119 00:12:20,000 --> 00:12:29,000 No I think if I'm them I start getting unprepared for the rumble and let him make his full time main roster debut at the rumble 120 00:12:29,000 --> 00:12:32,000 I mean keep him off TV from now until late January 121 00:12:32,000 --> 00:12:39,000 I mean you can you I mean kind of like what they do with Braun Breaker a little bit they you know they put him in the tag team with you know at Baron Corbin for a little bit 122 00:12:39,000 --> 00:12:56,000 You can have him still be on the peripheral to keep the ring rust off but I just hold off I just hold off on doing the full move to the main roster until in the rumble and then let you know Pearson all this fight out for who gets to sign Oba Femi to the main roster you know post rumble 123 00:12:56,000 --> 00:13:06,000 I think on that stage you I mean right now I mean where do you fit him in like everybody's kind of tied up in storylines for the most part 124 00:13:06,000 --> 00:13:14,000 So if you bring him up now you're just kind of shoe-horringing him in or you're letting him squash jobbers for you know a couple of months 125 00:13:14,000 --> 00:13:19,000 So I would just kind of hold him off and then just use the rumble as like the starting point 126 00:13:19,000 --> 00:13:30,000 We've talked about a fourth person for the vision I think you have him debut next weekend during the crown jewel main event between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes where he helps Seth Rollins out 127 00:13:30,000 --> 00:13:40,000 And he joins the vision because then you've got Rollins Bronson Braun Breaker Oba Femi four people I think we're going to get a five person war games match 128 00:13:40,000 --> 00:13:42,000 And that's where I think Brock Lesnar gets involved 129 00:13:42,000 --> 00:13:50,000 I would have Oba debut next weekend inside with Seth Rollins and the vision 130 00:13:50,000 --> 00:13:58,000 And that's not a bad idea if you're wanting to go ahead and move Braun Breaker over to a baby face sooner than later 131 00:13:58,000 --> 00:14:08,000 Because right now on paper if I look at that team I go you got Bronson Reed, Braun Breaker, Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar along with Seth Rollins 132 00:14:08,000 --> 00:14:13,000 Like I don't really care who the other side throws like there's no way you're beating those guys 133 00:14:13,000 --> 00:14:16,000 Like that's just too massive of a team 134 00:14:16,000 --> 00:14:21,000 So that's why I would kind of hold them off until you're ready to kind of spin 135 00:14:21,000 --> 00:14:27,000 And we've seen teasing of that over the last couple weeks of once again of Braun Breaker and Seth not seeing eye to eye 136 00:14:27,000 --> 00:14:35,000 Like I wait till you make that move full fledged and then you have Seth sets back up for Braun leaving be Oba Femi 137 00:14:35,000 --> 00:14:40,000 So then you get Oba Femi and Braun Breaker before you get to Braun in Seth Rollins 138 00:14:40,000 --> 00:14:48,000 Feel free to chime in at SRTU podcast on X with what you think is the next steps for Oba Femi when it comes to his time in World Wrestling Entertainment 139 00:14:48,000 --> 00:14:55,000 Keeping with NXT, Dr. Trey was announced during no mercy that we would be getting NXT Invasion on October 7th 140 00:14:55,000 --> 00:15:03,000 That has now changed to showdown because I guess Invasion very poorly timed 141 00:15:03,000 --> 00:15:09,000 I guess October 7th was like this two year anniversary of Hamas invading Israel 142 00:15:09,000 --> 00:15:14,000 So there were some folks that were thought it was obviously ill timed and have been insensitive 143 00:15:14,000 --> 00:15:22,000 I'm not here to really question that, however what I will say personally is it's like I don't see two things as the same 144 00:15:22,000 --> 00:15:31,000 I just look at it as a pay-per-view name for a very nostalgic and important pay-per-view both good and bad 145 00:15:31,000 --> 00:15:35,000 When you look back at 2001 Invasion so I was pretty stoked for that 146 00:15:35,000 --> 00:15:43,000 Nonetheless it's a showdown now Dr. Trey we have a Survivor Series style match for both the men, the women, Mustafa Ali 147 00:15:43,000 --> 00:15:48,000 We're turning to NXT to challenge Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship 148 00:15:48,000 --> 00:15:53,000 You've got the Hardy Boys, take it on Dark State for a title for Title Match this Tuesday 149 00:15:53,000 --> 00:15:56,000 I'm gonna say Dr. Trey, I am a sucker for this 150 00:15:56,000 --> 00:16:04,000 I think this is some of the best stuff in all of professional wrestling right now I think the last three weeks of wrestling in general has been kind of weak 151 00:16:04,000 --> 00:16:11,000 And I don't know if that's them trying to recover or just stay afloat with football back and baseball playoffs now taking shape 152 00:16:11,000 --> 00:16:21,000 And the NBA returning soon and NHL returning soon nonetheless I feel like the TNA NXT stuff has been some of the most intriguing and entertaining stuff I've seen on television 153 00:16:21,000 --> 00:16:24,000 Your thoughts as we approach the showdown in the upcoming Tuesday 154 00:16:24,000 --> 00:16:32,000 And well-written stuff like Mustafa Ali reminding folks that he had a North American title shot two years ago 155 00:16:32,000 --> 00:16:39,000 Like that made a ton of for guys like us like I eat that stuff up I'm like way to tie that in 156 00:16:39,000 --> 00:16:47,000 Like Kalani Jordan being a captain of you know TNA and Jordan Grace like on the opposite side like that stuff is great 157 00:16:47,000 --> 00:16:52,000 I love that stuff just really well written storyline for this stuff 158 00:16:52,000 --> 00:16:59,000 I think it's funny that you mentioned the invasion thing is what it reminded me of and it was right after 9/11 159 00:16:59,000 --> 00:17:10,000 And they were using let the bodies hit the floor as one of the songs and people made them take that song off because it was too close to 9/11 160 00:17:10,000 --> 00:17:18,000 And for somebody to throw a thing and like I can't believe they're using the word invasion two years after the deadly terrorist attacks 161 00:17:18,000 --> 00:17:27,000 Like wrestling is not real life you have to be reminded the fact that you have to be reminded that these two things are not the same is kind of sad 162 00:17:27,000 --> 00:17:34,000 But you know otherwise like the last three weeks of NXT programming has been really really well done 163 00:17:34,000 --> 00:17:38,000 Even getting the you know the miles born Josh Briggs match 164 00:17:38,000 --> 00:17:44,000 You know the other night that was great like tying it all together making the storylines fit 165 00:17:44,000 --> 00:17:52,000 And giving some good writings to explain why people are doing what they're doing or citing with who they're citing with is really cool 166 00:17:52,000 --> 00:18:01,000 Plus you know seeing Matt Cardona in NXT is really cool seeing the hearties back in NXT seeing Mustafa Ali 167 00:18:01,000 --> 00:18:10,000 Like seeing a lot of these you know long time WWE stalwarts making their return to NXT on the side of TNA 168 00:18:10,000 --> 00:18:16,000 I mean it's something that I didn't think I'd ever see happen so it's really cool television in that regard as well 169 00:18:16,000 --> 00:18:25,000 Yeah now it's been a lot of fun and it's been enjoyable and what's really cool about this Dr. Trey is this is like the legitimate first time I could really think of 170 00:18:25,000 --> 00:18:33,000 That two wrestling promotions have gone head to head and they're in or at least in some time I'm sure there's some historical context out there 171 00:18:33,000 --> 00:18:39,000 I think ROH and CCW is one that is reminiscent of this back in the mid 2000s 172 00:18:39,000 --> 00:18:45,000 Where it's two promotions that are not under the same umbrella so that's what has this really intriguing for me 173 00:18:45,000 --> 00:18:52,000 And I hope by the end of showdown that it's reflective well for both companies both companies look strong 174 00:18:52,000 --> 00:19:00,000 I don't want like NXT to steamroll TNA I don't think TNA would steamroll NXT in this scenario 175 00:19:00,000 --> 00:19:03,000 I just think it's more NXT potentially steamroll in TNA 176 00:19:03,000 --> 00:19:07,000 So I'm intrigued by that if I had any complaints about it 177 00:19:07,000 --> 00:19:17,000 Kalani Jordan heading up team TNA for the women is not the way I would approach it I do feel like there's been some creative 178 00:19:17,000 --> 00:19:21,000 And some personal issues behind the scenes that have caused this change 179 00:19:21,000 --> 00:19:30,000 So Ash by elegance had to the former Dan and Brooke had to bow out of the match at the most recent TNA pay-per-view due to injury 180 00:19:30,000 --> 00:19:37,000 Masha Slamovitch is on her way out of TNA and there's been some personal accusations levied towards her 181 00:19:37,000 --> 00:19:39,000 So TNA is obviously put in their distance 182 00:19:39,000 --> 00:19:47,000 I would have liked to see an ATNA homegrown talent doing this rather than a NXT talent 183 00:19:47,000 --> 00:19:52,000 But nonetheless I am really looking forward to the show on Tuesday 184 00:19:52,000 --> 00:19:57,000 And I was like wondering to myself why are they doing this and then I remembered, oh it's title Tuesday 185 00:19:57,000 --> 00:20:02,000 Tuesday for AEW Dynamite so NXT and TNA versus AEW 186 00:20:02,000 --> 00:20:06,000 Any additional thoughts there to the showdown show on Tuesday Dr. Kray? 187 00:20:06,000 --> 00:20:12,000 Now I had the same thoughts about the Kalani Jordan thing at first because I was like well it's kind of where the she's heading up team TNA 188 00:20:12,000 --> 00:20:16,000 But like you said with Masha Slamovitch on her way out 189 00:20:16,000 --> 00:20:18,000 Ash by elegance haven't take some time off 190 00:20:18,000 --> 00:20:25,000 They really didn't have anybody that could step up that would be familiar to an NXT crowd except for Kalani Jordan 191 00:20:25,000 --> 00:20:28,000 That has been working that side 192 00:20:28,000 --> 00:20:35,000 I thought it would be cool if JC Jain had jumped over and had a bad team and then have Jordan Grays end up the NXT team 193 00:20:35,000 --> 00:20:39,000 Because you would have had people from one side heading up the other team 194 00:20:39,000 --> 00:20:44,000 But outside of that I'm just really pumped for the show because I am curious 195 00:20:44,000 --> 00:20:52,000 Like WWE NXT is kind of getting a lot of the TNA titles 196 00:20:52,000 --> 00:20:55,000 Like how far are they willing to go with this? 197 00:20:55,000 --> 00:20:58,000 As far as I mean I already put the TNA titles on Dark State 198 00:20:58,000 --> 00:21:01,000 I was like how far are we going to do this? 199 00:21:01,000 --> 00:21:02,000 I think the opposite 200 00:21:02,000 --> 00:21:05,000 I think you're getting some NXT titles to be finally put on TNA guys 201 00:21:05,000 --> 00:21:08,000 And I would not be shocked if Mustafa Ali gets his title put on him 202 00:21:08,000 --> 00:21:14,000 Yeah I'm with you on that one and I would be surprised to see the Hardy still steal the belts from Dark State 203 00:21:14,000 --> 00:21:17,000 Because they're an attraction in both brands 204 00:21:17,000 --> 00:21:23,000 So the flip side could be the truth and all of a sudden you got Trick Williams TNA Champion 205 00:21:23,000 --> 00:21:25,000 Kalani Jordan TNA Women's Champion 206 00:21:25,000 --> 00:21:28,000 Dark State Tag Team Champions 207 00:21:28,000 --> 00:21:32,000 Like there's not a whole lot left other than 208 00:21:32,000 --> 00:21:36,000 They're new international title that used to be the digital media championship 209 00:21:36,000 --> 00:21:39,000 That's the only one that's not really on the line 210 00:21:39,000 --> 00:21:42,000 Coming up this week for an NXT talent to take away 211 00:21:42,000 --> 00:21:48,000 So if it goes almost all WWE NXT then maybe next week we're saying you're going 212 00:21:48,000 --> 00:21:50,000 It feels a little one sided 213 00:21:50,000 --> 00:21:55,000 Even though these guys are getting the publicity and getting the notice that they so richly deserve 214 00:21:55,000 --> 00:21:57,000 It's feeling a little what's that 215 00:21:57,000 --> 00:22:02,000 I saw Mousse come out and say that how well the partnership is gone 216 00:22:02,000 --> 00:22:05,000 Between these two brands that was better than the AEW partnership 217 00:22:05,000 --> 00:22:07,000 And people slam him for that because 218 00:22:07,000 --> 00:22:12,000 You know Kenny Omega got the biggest rating in TNA history 219 00:22:12,000 --> 00:22:18,000 But it always felt one sided that the AEW stuff was going to get more over than the TNA stuff 220 00:22:18,000 --> 00:22:24,000 So hopefully we come out as a little bit of balance where both sides come out feeling like winners 221 00:22:24,000 --> 00:22:30,000 Yeah it's kind of wild that there's like a TNA World Championship on a WWE star right now 222 00:22:30,000 --> 00:22:34,000 A AAA mega championship on a WWE star right now 223 00:22:34,000 --> 00:22:39,000 And those two titles run AW talent like less than five years ago 224 00:22:39,000 --> 00:22:41,000 No so crazy how things change 225 00:22:41,000 --> 00:22:52,000 That's right one last point I'll bring up here too is it's very noticeable that the TNA talent that is showing up on WWE television right now are former WWE talent 226 00:22:52,000 --> 00:22:58,000 Do you like that? Do you find that intriguing or would you like to see some straight up TNA talent like a Mousse 227 00:22:58,000 --> 00:23:02,000 Like a Leon Slater Mike Santana who've also showed up on NXT television 228 00:23:02,000 --> 00:23:09,000 Be the ones that are leading the charge rather than the former Jacquara Jackson the inspiration Matt Cardona 229 00:23:09,000 --> 00:23:14,000 Guys who were literally in WWE not too many years ago 230 00:23:14,000 --> 00:23:22,000 It's a little bit of both I guess like I went when they did the TNA guys came out a couple of weeks ago 231 00:23:22,000 --> 00:23:25,000 I did see Mansour Warner in the crowd 232 00:23:25,000 --> 00:23:34,000 At the TNA homegrown guy Leon Slater is actually wrestling Javan Evans for the exhibition title here before long 233 00:23:34,000 --> 00:23:43,000 So there is some crossover but it's more the homegrown guys are kind of staying on the TNA shows 234 00:23:43,000 --> 00:23:46,000 And the XWW guys are doing the invasion thing 235 00:23:46,000 --> 00:23:51,000 And in a way it makes sense because it's like you know the crowd already kind of knows who these guys are 236 00:23:51,000 --> 00:23:58,000 And you don't have to go back in and try to build credibility in these matchups for those people who don't watch TNA 237 00:23:58,000 --> 00:24:05,000 So like most of the NXT crowd knows who everybody is that has shown up for this invasion angle 238 00:24:05,000 --> 00:24:09,000 And you're not having to go back and try to explain to your audience who these guys are 239 00:24:09,000 --> 00:24:15,000 That's the one thing I think TNA is missing out on is when the NXT guys come in 240 00:24:15,000 --> 00:24:21,000 They're like oh that's just so and so I was like wait I don't know who Laney Reed is 241 00:24:21,000 --> 00:24:30,000 Or I don't really know who you know when Tatum Paxley was in TNA like did the TNA women's title shot four or five months ago 242 00:24:30,000 --> 00:24:31,000 I didn't know a lot about her 243 00:24:31,000 --> 00:24:37,000 They're not really explaining who these guys are to their TNA audience 244 00:24:37,000 --> 00:24:40,000 They're just expecting the TNA audience to know who they are 245 00:24:40,000 --> 00:24:46,000 And that might be the one thing so far where I feel it's a little bit one sided is like TNA audience 246 00:24:46,000 --> 00:24:49,000 Not all TNA audience watches NXT 247 00:24:49,000 --> 00:24:53,000 So you know give those TNA, give those NXT guys a little bit of background 248 00:24:53,000 --> 00:25:00,000 You know when you're explaining who they are where on the NXT television you don't have to explain who these WWE guys 249 00:25:00,000 --> 00:25:04,000 It's like one part cool, one part awkward 250 00:25:04,000 --> 00:25:09,000 And I'm sure one part like they feel redemption for these former WWE stars 251 00:25:09,000 --> 00:25:16,000 Jakar Jackson was released not too many months ago now she's wasn't my rescade in TNA 252 00:25:16,000 --> 00:25:21,000 I don't remember her name, Mustafa Ali was in WWE a year ago 253 00:25:21,000 --> 00:25:27,000 It was reportedly supposed to be the next North American champion before his title shot was abruptly ended 254 00:25:27,000 --> 00:25:29,000 Like it was going into a pay-per-view 255 00:25:29,000 --> 00:25:32,000 He was wrestling Dom, he was actually supposed to wrestle Dom 256 00:25:32,000 --> 00:25:35,000 And reportedly was supposed to win the title 257 00:25:35,000 --> 00:25:39,000 And then they cut him and then like Shawn Michaels was vehemently upset about that 258 00:25:39,000 --> 00:25:47,000 Same thing with it's gonna be strange for Cardona and the inspiration, the former iconix to be back in the WWE roof for a period of time 259 00:25:47,000 --> 00:25:54,000 But also I feel like there has to be almost a redemption story as well where it's like you don't need WWE to be relevant 260 00:25:54,000 --> 00:25:57,000 And they are people that have showcased that 261 00:25:57,000 --> 00:26:01,000 So really good for the show this coming Tuesday, yeah go ahead Dr. Try 262 00:26:01,000 --> 00:26:10,000 I was like, how much redemption from Mustafa Ali does it have to feel that that character he's doing now is who he wanted to do in WWE 263 00:26:10,000 --> 00:26:11,000 Yes 264 00:26:11,000 --> 00:26:15,000 And he's actually getting the showcase it, it's getting over, it's working 265 00:26:15,000 --> 00:26:22,000 And then he gets to come back now and show like I was right this would have worked here as well so I love that for him 266 00:26:22,000 --> 00:26:27,000 No I do too, I'm always pro wrestler when it comes to these situations so it's gotta be very very cool for them 267 00:26:27,000 --> 00:26:34,000 Also like putting like a big FU back to WWE for letting go in the first place and letting now that here they are 268 00:26:34,000 --> 00:26:39,000 I'm very successful in a new brand that is just up to be partnering with WWE 269 00:26:39,000 --> 00:26:44,000 One former WWE star who will not be landing in TNA, Dr. Try is Andrade 270 00:26:44,000 --> 00:26:47,000 He was released, we didn't bring it up on the show 271 00:26:47,000 --> 00:26:52,000 He was reportedly released and this was confirmed this morning following his redebue 272 00:26:52,000 --> 00:27:01,000 That he was cut for multiple wellness violations in WWE when he was under contract and they just cut him no 90 day clause 273 00:27:01,000 --> 00:27:08,000 Hence why he showed up on AW Dynamite last Wednesday night to attack Kenny Omega and join the Don Callis family 274 00:27:08,000 --> 00:27:15,000 Dr. Try, I don't know how to feel about Andrade, I think he is extremely talented 275 00:27:15,000 --> 00:27:19,000 Should have been or should be a world champion at some point 276 00:27:19,000 --> 00:27:26,000 It just feels like when the going gets tough or and this is just me, I have no indications of this on the outside looking in 277 00:27:26,000 --> 00:27:29,000 But this is just me as a fan looking from what I see 278 00:27:29,000 --> 00:27:36,000 When he wanted to leave WWE he was complaining and got his way to leave and he pops up in AW 279 00:27:36,000 --> 00:27:41,000 When his time in AW wasn't going well he was complaining and wanted to go back to WWE and return in WWE 280 00:27:41,000 --> 00:27:48,000 When he was in WWE he reportedly botched his return in WWE because he had multiple wellness violations 281 00:27:48,000 --> 00:27:51,000 I thought the stuff with he and Ray Phoenix was intriguing 282 00:27:51,000 --> 00:27:57,000 I do feel like from a creative standpoint he was suffering a little bit and was just keeping his head above water 283 00:27:57,000 --> 00:28:00,000 And now he's gone and I'm shocked that AW has brought him back 284 00:28:00,000 --> 00:28:05,000 Especially under the guise that there was wellness violations reportedly involved from his release 285 00:28:05,000 --> 00:28:16,000 How do you make heads around Andrade returning to AW his release from WWE and just overall how his career has gone like these last five years 286 00:28:16,000 --> 00:28:24,000 Andrade right now in a sense kind of feels like a big show to me who right now is a big show to be a baby face to heal back and forth all the time 287 00:28:24,000 --> 00:28:26,000 Andrade just with companies right now 288 00:28:26,000 --> 00:28:36,000 It's like it's weird in a sense that both of these companies had him on their roster 289 00:28:36,000 --> 00:28:40,000 New his makeup, new his demeanor 290 00:28:40,000 --> 00:28:47,000 Both companies basically let him go and didn't really fight to keep him and then both companies have welcomed him back 291 00:28:47,000 --> 00:28:54,000 So I don't know how to, right now he kind of feels like an NFL wide receiver 292 00:28:54,000 --> 00:28:59,000 You know like oh I'm not getting the ball thrown at me they complain they come in and let him go 293 00:28:59,000 --> 00:29:05,000 And then the next team picks him up he does really well for a bit and then things don't go his way 294 00:29:05,000 --> 00:29:13,000 He complains the team lets him go and the other side picks him up again is just he's one of the most talented wrestlers on the planet 295 00:29:13,000 --> 00:29:19,000 Like there really aren't very many bad on Draught A matches on either brand I could remember 296 00:29:19,000 --> 00:29:24,000 Like he's one of the smoothest in-ring competitors of all time 297 00:29:24,000 --> 00:29:28,000 And but it's he's a little bit of a head case 298 00:29:28,000 --> 00:29:38,000 It's kind of like oh let's see he's like the Antonio Brown of professional wrestling in a lot of ways 299 00:29:38,000 --> 00:29:44,000 Like he just super talented but like he just gets in his own way so much 300 00:29:44,000 --> 00:29:50,000 And part of it is like well he came back to W2B and for all indications he was still married to Charlotte 301 00:29:50,000 --> 00:29:54,000 And maybe he thought coming back it helped fix the marriage and it obviously didn't work 302 00:29:54,000 --> 00:30:00,000 Once you're there and you're seeing your ex-wife around the building all the time it's got to get in your head a little bit 303 00:30:00,000 --> 00:30:09,000 So I don't blame him for trying to find the right path but I don't know if either these American companies is the right path for him 304 00:30:09,000 --> 00:30:13,000 Maybe the and then what's he in W2B owns AAA what's he going to do? 305 00:30:13,000 --> 00:30:22,000 Go to CMLL go overseas in New Japan like not that it's a monopoly but when all these companies are working under two big umbrellas 306 00:30:22,000 --> 00:30:27,000 Like you got five or six companies now working under two big umbrellas 307 00:30:27,000 --> 00:30:32,000 There aren't a lot of options for you so you gotta kind of always make sure you're not burning bridges 308 00:30:32,000 --> 00:30:37,000 But at the same time at some point you're gonna look at that bridge and go man that thing's falling apart 309 00:30:37,000 --> 00:30:39,000 I don't need to keep crossing it 310 00:30:39,000 --> 00:30:43,000 Yeah his career has been definitely disappointed I love the comparison of Antonio Brown 311 00:30:43,000 --> 00:30:47,000 Because again I mean go back to 2016 17 NXT 312 00:30:47,000 --> 00:31:00,000 The vibe was like I'm trying to be your next big Hispanic star I would have guessed that he would have had at least one or two runs as a world champion in the next five to ten years in World of Rest Entertainment 313 00:31:00,000 --> 00:31:08,000 The wellness violations we don't know the details but it's not great one way or another I mean there's a reason why the company was like enough is enough 314 00:31:08,000 --> 00:31:13,000 There's other reports out there that he showed up to Smackdown in no state to perform 315 00:31:13,000 --> 00:31:21,000 So he was escorted out of the building that was the last time people saw him I think from the AW standpoint if this is the true case 316 00:31:21,000 --> 00:31:28,000 Then I think AW is doing a disservice to one dry day the person granted again we don't know exactly what this is all about 317 00:31:28,000 --> 00:31:37,000 But if he has some sort of substance abuse issue issue then they should be letting him get the help that he needs and not putting him back on television 318 00:31:37,000 --> 00:31:48,000 I'd prefer AW go you know what yes we'll sign you we'll bring you back but it's under these guys in these stipulations and you gotta go to rehab if it's necessary based on whatever is going on with them 319 00:31:48,000 --> 00:31:54,000 I think putting him back on television with this out in the open right now is a little bit of a black eye for AW 320 00:31:54,000 --> 00:31:56,000 And you're about to say something Dr. Trey? 321 00:31:56,000 --> 00:32:02,000 Yeah I was just saying I mean for one though he has to want to get help because JV has one of the best rehab programs there is 322 00:32:02,000 --> 00:32:08,000 I mean how many guys have come out and said WWE saved their life because of their rehab programs 323 00:32:08,000 --> 00:32:18,000 You know I know Jeff Hardy mentioned it several like a Zach Galen mentioned it like if it wasn't for the WWE's rehab program they probably wouldn't be here today 324 00:32:18,000 --> 00:32:26,000 So you know I get AEW one something because you got to remember the first kind of a classic he was heavily featured in that 325 00:32:26,000 --> 00:32:33,000 You know he was one of the you know I think he was in the semi finals of that whole thing you know that Eddie Kingston am winning 326 00:32:33,000 --> 00:32:41,000 So he's a guy that they have they they featured at times but because he got to come ahead in case they're he got pushed down the card a bit 327 00:32:41,000 --> 00:32:48,000 So I can see it's one of his head it's one of his things we're like talent always will get opportunities 328 00:32:48,000 --> 00:32:55,000 If somebody is supremely talented as something they're always gonna get chances because somebody thinks they can fix it 329 00:32:55,000 --> 00:33:09,000 But that person has to want to be fixed and if Andrade doesn't think he has a problem he's not going to rehab it if he doesn't think you know we don't know what wellness policy he violated 330 00:33:09,000 --> 00:33:16,000 Because I thought if I'm not my second didn't WWE finally allow like legalized the marijuana I believe sell 331 00:33:16,000 --> 00:33:24,000 Yeah so it's got to be something harder than that because otherwise it could be steroids for all we know to try to be fair 332 00:33:24,000 --> 00:33:31,000 But does he look like a guy who's on steroids he's pretty bulky man he's got he's got that wide shoulder to shoulder range 333 00:33:31,000 --> 00:33:36,000 He ain't brought he ain't Brock Lesnar or all the family brought 334 00:33:36,000 --> 00:33:45,000 Well I think that's different body types I would say but I mean this thing it could it could be anyone those things I don't like speculating on it 335 00:33:45,000 --> 00:33:55,000 But you know if a guy's violating multiple wellness policy things and he doesn't think he has a problem he's not going to try to get help or get off that stuff 336 00:33:55,000 --> 00:34:00,000 And just companies are going to take chances on him because they're going to think they can fix the problem 337 00:34:00,000 --> 00:34:07,000 And you know hindsight being 2020 maybe Tony Conway you know we could have done this with Andrade we could have done this 338 00:34:07,000 --> 00:34:17,000 Putting him with Don Callis is brilliant because then Andrade doesn't talk the best versions of Andrade we got was when he had a manager whether it was Zelina Vega or somebody else 339 00:34:17,000 --> 00:34:24,000 Those were the best versions of him we got so maybe this is a way of like hey we just want you to come in you're going to wrestle 340 00:34:24,000 --> 00:34:34,000 Don's going to do all the talking just come in and do what you do best which is performing the ring and maybe we get that side of Andrade to shine which is the best version of him 341 00:34:34,000 --> 00:34:42,000 The thing is it's like if he screws this up it's like where does he able to do he's going to bounce back to WWE again I don't know 342 00:34:42,000 --> 00:34:46,000 He goes off and forms a tag team without Bernal Del Rio 343 00:34:46,000 --> 00:34:55,000 Listen, it's not too far off of like comparisons of like career trajectory and it just so happens to be that like they're major Hispanic stars 344 00:34:55,000 --> 00:35:17,000 So it's pretty surprising that he's like following that part because Del Rio should be an example to any wrestler Hispanic are not like this is not the way that you should be like your trajectory of your career because Del Rio was a world champion has some clear admitted and also reported substance abuse issues 345 00:35:17,000 --> 00:35:29,000 And he has basically been written out of professional wrestling rightfully so if the domestic violence allegations levied his way are factual nonetheless 346 00:35:29,000 --> 00:35:41,000 Andrade is back in A.W. We were surprising I mean just another point that I'll make is Tony Khan has said like listen we don't want to bring people from the other company over here that are just looking to get back into the other company 347 00:35:41,000 --> 00:35:46,000 Andrade was legitimately one of those people was like Miro him and Malachi Black 348 00:35:46,000 --> 00:35:55,000 Now Alistar Black and Rusev and it's just was very surprising they brought him back with all the stuff that is going on portally behind the scenes 349 00:35:55,000 --> 00:36:04,000 Moving back to WWE Dr. Trey we have Crown Jewel next weekend I simply ask you you got Rollins vs. Rhodes champion vs. Champion 350 00:36:04,000 --> 00:36:07,000 Valkor vs. Stratton champion vs. Champion 351 00:36:07,000 --> 00:36:10,000 Do you get excited for these main event matches in the Crown Jewel match? 352 00:36:10,000 --> 00:36:12,000 Championship matches themselves? 353 00:36:12,000 --> 00:36:20,000 So I meant to ask you this last week when you were saw our Crown Jewel is the winner getting the ring again the big ring as they said 354 00:36:20,000 --> 00:36:23,000 Yes they are in the and that like crazy bell 355 00:36:23,000 --> 00:36:29,000 Okay so but the crazy bell doesn't stay with them they just get to keep the ring 356 00:36:29,000 --> 00:36:36,000 Because nobody in America ever saw the crazy belt again after the last Crown Jewel champion vs. Champion stuff 357 00:36:36,000 --> 00:36:50,000 We saw the belt that night and that was pretty much it so I didn't know if there was a ring ceremony like they do like with the Masters where like Liv Morgan has to come out and give the winner a ring or something 358 00:36:50,000 --> 00:36:59,000 But like on one hand I'm excited about because look Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes I mean that when Cody first came in those three matches were fantastic 359 00:36:59,000 --> 00:37:07,000 So I'm excited for that match Tiffany and Stephanie is interesting in the sense of it's two of the young stars 360 00:37:07,000 --> 00:37:12,000 This is the kind of the next generation of the evolution women's wrestling 361 00:37:12,000 --> 00:37:16,000 I mean this is the next generation after the four horse women taking center stage 362 00:37:16,000 --> 00:37:27,000 So I'm excited to see how they perform on this stage because this is one of the first times that those girls haven't had one of the vets in the ring with them 363 00:37:27,000 --> 00:37:34,000 You know we've seen Stephanie with EO Sky EO Sky although maybe not a long 10 year W.E. wrestler 364 00:37:34,000 --> 00:37:45,000 Almost 15 years of experience in big moments you know we have and Tiffany's had Charlotte and Naya and some of the other ones that she's been the ring with 365 00:37:45,000 --> 00:37:54,000 You know so this is the two young stars getting a chance to shine on their own without that vet maybe carrying them through the match or helping them through the match 366 00:37:54,000 --> 00:38:07,000 So I'm excited in the sense of I want to see how that one goes and then Cody and Seth are we going to tie in with any of their storylines or they just keep this thing completely separate from everything else they've been doing 367 00:38:07,000 --> 00:38:14,000 And just keep this one in a bubble by itself and then Afro Crown Jewel go right back into their previous storylines 368 00:38:14,000 --> 00:38:22,000 Yeah these matches that are really intriguing to me I love the build for Rhodes versus Rollins I love the history behind them 369 00:38:22,000 --> 00:38:31,000 And how they're making it part of this match and there are some major storyline ramifications with this match 370 00:38:31,000 --> 00:38:35,000 I think this is a match that leads to something at war games 371 00:38:35,000 --> 00:38:38,000 Six weeks four or five six weeks later 372 00:38:38,000 --> 00:38:44,000 As for that core versus Strang I look at this match is like the future of the potential future of women's wrestling 373 00:38:44,000 --> 00:38:52,000 I mean these are two women that two years ago one was in the company and the other one was dominating NXT in Tiffany Strang 374 00:38:52,000 --> 00:39:07,000 So that's pretty exciting and pretty wild and like you just have to tip your hat to WWE in that sense that they're able to take two people who were not either on the roster signed by WWE or were in NXT dominating there 375 00:39:07,000 --> 00:39:15,000 And here they are two years later they both have each have a championship in our vine for this Crown Jewel championship so I'm looking forward to a doctor try 376 00:39:15,000 --> 00:39:22,000 I like that they do this and I like that it's an annual thing just like anything with WWE I just hope that there's some consistency with this 377 00:39:22,000 --> 00:39:27,000 And this is a regular occurring event and matches that we see from this point forward 378 00:39:27,000 --> 00:39:32,000 Yeah I thought it was funny when I first saw it was like oh it's Crown Jewel but it's in Perth 379 00:39:32,000 --> 00:39:40,000 And I'm like I thought Crown Jewel was named just because it's in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia but no no no no because we have these giant rings 380 00:39:40,000 --> 00:39:42,000 That's the jewel I guess but up 381 00:39:42,000 --> 00:39:51,000 Yeah to me I was looking at that Stephanie match I'm like when was the last time that we had I mean technically both tiles aren't being defended 382 00:39:51,000 --> 00:40:04,000 But I mean this is a main event women's match on a PLE that doesn't have Rhea EO, Bianca, Bailey, Becky, Charlotte, Alexa 383 00:40:04,000 --> 00:40:18,000 Like none of those seven all future Hall of Famers not in this match or not in this main event level match so it's kind of like you were saying like it's kind of like hey this is what is probably going to be a main event 384 00:40:18,000 --> 00:40:25,000 And the WrestleMania match in two or three years with these two women they're just happening doing it right now early in their careers 385 00:40:25,000 --> 00:40:34,000 That's really a testament to the development department, the development department of WWE taking two people like you said 386 00:40:34,000 --> 00:40:40,000 Stephanie was on the roster two years ago Tiffany's only been wrestling five years 387 00:40:40,000 --> 00:40:46,000 And she's main eventing a PLE in Australia against another women's champion that's pretty cool 388 00:40:46,000 --> 00:40:55,000 Yeah I don't think anybody does development better than WWE quite honestly and people may hate that comment but look at the roster nowadays 389 00:40:55,000 --> 00:41:03,000 It's phenomenal what they've done the PC is great I am one that is all for the independence ours getting some love and some time in there 390 00:41:03,000 --> 00:41:15,000 But as the years have gone on 15-20 years the independence is slowly not what it used to be where there's not as many household names as it used to be for die hard wrestling fans 391 00:41:15,000 --> 00:41:23,000 And WWE is able to take a lot of these athletes and turn them into legit stars and really credible stars so really really cool 392 00:41:23,000 --> 00:41:29,000 And this is a case of you got someone who was developed in WWE in Tiffany's run and then you've got someone who was able to travel the world 393 00:41:29,000 --> 00:41:36,000 Like one of those rare independent stars in Stephanie Vaughan who was able to do this in New Japan and CMLL and be successful 394 00:41:36,000 --> 00:41:51,000 And here she is now taking on Tiffany's run so it's like a mixture of the future of wrestling of an independent talent who was able to make it big and get into WWE and someone who was a developmental talent who has made it big 395 00:41:51,000 --> 00:41:54,000 And been a successful wrestler in WWE 396 00:41:54,000 --> 00:42:04,000 Last thing I want to bring up here Dr. Trey it is a official John Cena's final match is going to be on Saturday and it's main event on December 13th in Washington DC 397 00:42:04,000 --> 00:42:14,000 We're going to have plenty of time to talk about this Dr. Trey but did the announcement give you any indication on who you think the final opponent should be on December 13th for John Cena? 398 00:42:14,000 --> 00:42:16,000 Donald Trump 399 00:42:16,000 --> 00:42:20,000 Ooh, returning to the ring for the first time since 2020 400 00:42:20,000 --> 00:42:30,000 Yeah, hall of fame and I mean it was weird like to me it reminds me like I was like man I really the nostalgia person in me really wanted to miss 401 00:42:30,000 --> 00:42:48,000 Because I go back to capital punishment I think was with 2005, 2008 somewhere in there and that was it was Cena and Rock against Miz and Truth I believe was a capital punishment or might have been just Cena and Truth but I know Cena Rock was survivor series because I was there 402 00:42:48,000 --> 00:42:53,000 Okay so with the Cena Rock versus Miz and Truth was that that was that match right? 403 00:42:53,000 --> 00:43:07,000 That was Cena Rock, Miz and Truth was that's a survivor series or the capital punishment was Cena versus Truth 404 00:43:07,000 --> 00:43:17,000 I don't think it's either it's got to be either Gunther or I don't say Rusev but that Rusev Cena flag match for WrestleMania repeat but it's got to be something kind of patriotic you're in 405 00:43:17,000 --> 00:43:23,000 You know the nation's capital it's got to be something kind of patriotic 406 00:43:23,000 --> 00:43:33,000 You know Cena waving the flag and you know going up against Gunther and you know something like that or Los Americanos it might be a one on three handguards who knows 407 00:43:33,000 --> 00:43:45,000 But yeah this is got to be like the USA send off or well I mean I was kind of bummed out that it wasn't the Boston show because it would be cool to see him go out in his hometown 408 00:43:45,000 --> 00:44:02,000 Roughly his hometown area so that was a little disappointing but you know we you know WWE fans are super patriotic we love our country and if Cena can do his last match I mean hell I don't even want I want them to do it outside under the Washington monument 409 00:44:02,000 --> 00:44:09,000 But I know it'll be 37 degrees and that's too cold but you know something like that I will see somebody get thrown into the Potomac 410 00:44:09,000 --> 00:44:22,000 It's something crazy something really really fun little send off for somebody but yeah it's crazy that we only have roughly two and a half months of John Cena left as a pro wrestler 411 00:44:22,000 --> 00:44:32,000 And that's kind of got me not in my fields but now I'm kind of running through the history of John Cena and I'm like man like this magic crown jewel M&A J will be cool 412 00:44:32,000 --> 00:44:45,000 You know who who is the last opponent going to be like where do we go from here but it all ties in together this is all part of TKO thing because I know the Trump's been pushing to get a UFC event like at the White House 413 00:44:45,000 --> 00:44:50,000 So you know it's one of those things we're like hey if we can make this where we can make anything work 414 00:44:50,000 --> 00:45:06,000 Yeah I think Gunther is probably a leading horse candidate I would say Brock Lesnar in a rematch could be one that you could see but I think that they did that result that Russell Pellus it to build Lesnar up rather than set up for a later match like we presumed at one point or at least I did 415 00:45:06,000 --> 00:45:22,000 One person that I'll throw out here just a dream match doctor try I put this at like less than 2% like it's 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 9% chance of happening because it's in Washington DC 416 00:45:22,000 --> 00:45:33,000 How about the animal Batista he does not have the muscle mass that he does if anybody seen any recent pictures of him from running the right carpet it is not the Batista that you know and love 417 00:45:33,000 --> 00:45:48,000 And he did have his last match at wrestling 35 against triple A and triple H is retired but talking about somebody who is like a dream opponent that's part of that lineage of Johnson that would be pretty cool if it was Batista but I put that as a very low under 1% 418 00:45:48,000 --> 00:45:52,000 I'm going with Gunther as a leader in the clubhouse doctor try 419 00:45:52,000 --> 00:45:57,000 Yeah for me I mean if you want to make a big debut there's your oboe feme 420 00:45:57,000 --> 00:46:07,000 Wow that would be something yeah you know and then you're launching this guy's career by you know having this you know seen as fair well match I mean hell we we all want a 421 00:46:07,000 --> 00:46:18,000 Kurt Angle and Johnson for Kurt Angles farewell match we got Kurt Angle and Baron Corbin so I just hope it's not something disappointing like that like although you know like I love the 422 00:46:18,000 --> 00:46:33,000 C-C-N-Bron breaker go at it for seen his last match something to kind of launch the net whoever they're picturing to be the next guy to kind of carry the company that's who I kind of want and Gunther might be that guy Gunther's you know universally love by almost 423 00:46:33,000 --> 00:46:43,000 anybody in the company so he might be the right guy also I mean if I'm John Cena though I'd rather wrestle brawn breaker than my last match taking chops from Gunther 424 00:46:43,000 --> 00:46:52,400 That is true you don't want that that chest to be completely bright red when he's wishing everybody goodbye because you know he's going to get a lot more time on Saturday and it's made a 425 00:46:52,400 --> 00:47:04,000 month in Goldberg did but nonetheless I'm sure Goldberg won't complain about that at all all right with that said Dr. Trey let's wrap up this week's edition of SRT you as there'll be plenty of times to discuss over here the next two months 426 00:47:04,000 --> 00:47:14,000 John Cena's
