- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Good morning, friends. Thank you for starting your week with
- 0:05Speaker 2: us over here, just getting things started. The last day
- 0:07Speaker 2: of the month. How about that? Appreciate you being here.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Ricky Sanchez has those three things presented by Mark Spain
- 0:11Speaker 2: Real Estate.
- 0:13Speaker 3: The FDA has issued an update on the white rice
- 0:15Speaker 3: recall that was first issued back in April. So Lundberg
- 0:19Speaker 3: Family Farms recalled more than 27,000 packages of its white
- 0:22Speaker 3: jasmine rice over concerns about potential contamination with foreign materials.
- 0:27Speaker 3: The FDA classified the recall as class two, meaning that
- 0:30Speaker 3: the product, quote, may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse
- 0:35Speaker 3: health consequences. honestly, don't even know exactly what that means.
- 0:40Speaker 3: They make it so complicated.
- 0:41Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Like the way that they word everything makes it so
- 0:44Speaker 3: much more complicated than it.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Needs to be.
- 0:46Speaker 3: But the update listed states that were affected, including Tennessee,
- 0:50Speaker 3: the affected products have a best buy date of February 1st,
- 0:54Speaker 3: 2027 and February 2nd, 2027.
- 0:58Speaker 4: So just keep that in mind when you look through
- 0:59Speaker 4: your pantry.
- 1:00Speaker 3: This rice is sold at chains like Wegmans, Walmart, Target,
- 1:03Speaker 3: Whole Foods, and Giant. So if you happen to have
- 1:05Speaker 3: anything Lundberg Family Farms that is the white jasmine rice,
- 1:09Speaker 3: check the Best Buy dates.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Make sure that you don't have that.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Middle Tennessee State University's football team is going to honor
- 1:16Speaker 3: Dolly Parton during their home opener.
- 1:19Speaker 4: This is really cool. They made a whole patch for her.
- 1:21Speaker 3: So they've designed a special jersey patch that the Blue
- 1:24Speaker 3: Raiders are going to wear when they play Saturday, September
- 1:27Speaker 3: 5th at Floyd Stadium. The patch has her signature, just
- 1:30Speaker 3: Dolly in her actual signature and her signature butterfly next
- 1:33Speaker 3: to it. The year that she was born, 1946, and
- 1:36Speaker 3: this year, 2026. MTSU will also display QR codes across
- 1:40Speaker 3: the screens at Floyd Stadium for fans to donate to
- 1:43Speaker 3: Dolly's Imagination Library, which is a great way to honor her.
- 1:47Speaker 3: And Netflix is developing a new spinoff on the TV
- 1:50Speaker 3: show Manifest.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I don't know if you.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Remember that one, Kevin. It was like pretty trippy. Okay,
- 1:55Speaker 4: I watched it.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Oh, with the airplane. I did watch it.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 4: One of those things.
- 1:59Speaker 3: It was sci-fi, really trippy, very like interesting, but also
- 2:03Speaker 3: insane at the same time. Like you're watching this and
- 2:05Speaker 3: you're like, this is nuts.
- 2:06Speaker 4: So they're going to do a spinoff, okay?
- 2:07Speaker 3: It's currently titled Arrivals, A New Manifest Mystery. It's set
- 2:11Speaker 3: over three years after Manifest happens. The press release says
- 2:15Speaker 3: that you can expect a new cast of characters and, quote,
- 2:18Speaker 3: uncharted storylines. The logline says, quote, when a mysterious plane
- 2:23Speaker 3: crash lands in Denver, the passengers emerge with no memory
- 2:26Speaker 3: of who they are, where they came from, or why
- 2:29Speaker 3: they're there.
- 2:31Speaker 4: I know, creepy, right?
- 2:32Speaker 3: No word yet on a release date or who is
- 2:33Speaker 3: going to star in it, so I will keep you
- 2:35Speaker 3: posted on that.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things.
- 2:37Speaker 2: You need to know. Didn't the original, like, they took
- 2:39Speaker 2: off and they landed, like, years in the future or something?
- 2:42Speaker 6: Yes.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 2:43Speaker 3: And they had to figure out how that happened, why
- 2:45Speaker 3: that happened, and then they could, like, see the death
- 2:47Speaker 3: of other people.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It was.
- 2:49Speaker 2: It was wild.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Yeah, okay.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's coming back. A new take on it.
- 2:53Speaker 6: All right.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Thank you, Ricky. Appreciate that. Here's Ariana as we get
- 2:56Speaker 2: back into the music on this Monday morning. We do
- 2:58Speaker 2: have Disney on Ice Passes coming up for the first
- 3:00Speaker 2: caller of the day. About five minutes. Those can be yours.
- 3:03Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 3:06Speaker 2: It's 107.5 The River. Good morning. Good morning. It's Monday.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Just getting things started, getting things rolling. Laren is on
- 3:12Speaker 2: the line. Laren from Hendersonville. What was the highlight of
- 3:15Speaker 2: your weekend, Laren?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Oh, goodness.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So pretty much working on a stingray project with my daughter.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Oh, that's really cool.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Was it just like everything stingray, how they function and
- 3:29Speaker 3: how they work in the ocean?
- 3:30Speaker 6: Yep.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Pretty much all of that. We went to meet the
- 3:35Speaker 7: teacher and they said, you.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Have a project due.
- 3:37Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, fun.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Wait, what's your favorite fun fact that you learned about stingrays?
- 3:44Speaker 5: Oh, fun fact.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Well, they're made completely of cartilage.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Like what's in your ear and nose. Yeah.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Completely cartilage.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I just saw this crazy video online of this, I
- 3:58Speaker 2: want to say like some sort of orca.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Oh, yes.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Did you see it too?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yes, we did too.
- 4:03Speaker 2: It had a stingray, went flying out of the water,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and it was a pregnant stingray, and all of its
- 4:06Speaker 2: little babies, all of its little pups fell out of
- 4:08Speaker 2: it while it was in midair. It was crazy.
- 4:11Speaker 1: What?
- 4:11Speaker 4: That is crazy. It's really wild.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I watched it like four times because I was like,
- 4:17Speaker 3: I cannot believe my eyes of what I just saw.
- 4:19Speaker 4: That's how much strength those tales have.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it was wild.
- 4:23Speaker 7: I'll have to look that up.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I hope your project went well. It seems a little
- 4:27Speaker 2: early in the year to have a big project like that,
- 4:28Speaker 2: but I'm sure you guys crushed it. Yeah, we're working
- 4:31Speaker 2: on it.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Well, Laryn, we have something fun for you and your
- 4:36Speaker 3: kiddo to go to. You are the first caller of
- 4:38Speaker 3: the day this morning on 107.5 The River, so you're
- 4:40Speaker 3: getting a four-pack of tickets to Disney on Ice Presents
- 4:43Speaker 3: Spotlight Magic.
- 4:45Speaker 6: Yes!
- 4:46Speaker 3: I'm so excited.
- 4:46Speaker 7: She's going to be so excited.
- 4:48Speaker 2: She'll love that. I'm taking my kids to Disney on
- 4:50Speaker 2: iStuff a bunch over the years, and it's always a
- 4:51Speaker 2: great time. It's happening at Bridgestone from September 17th to
- 4:54Speaker 2: the 20th. I want to try to get this right
- 4:56Speaker 2: one more time. You're the first caller of the day.
- 4:58Speaker 2: You're the first caller of the week. But you're the
- 5:00Speaker 2: last first caller of the day of the month because
- 5:03Speaker 2: it's the end of the month. I think I got
- 5:04Speaker 2: it right that time.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Yes.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Good for you, Kevin.
- 5:07Speaker 2: None of that matters for you, Laryn.
- 5:08Speaker 3: This man is obsessed with things like that, Laryn. I
- 5:11Speaker 3: don't know what his problem is, but I'm going to
- 5:13Speaker 3: put you on hold for just a second. I got
- 5:15Speaker 3: to get your info, okay?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:17Speaker 2: All right.
- 5:18Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 5:19Speaker 2: We're all a little bit autistic, and I'm just embracing
- 5:21Speaker 2: it now. It's in my 43rd year.
- 5:23Speaker 4: I am so happy for you, Kevin.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 5:25Speaker 4: I'm so happy for you.
- 5:26Speaker 2: We've got more of these tickets tomorrow.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Olivia Rodrigo on 107.5 The River, which is perfect timing
- 5:35Speaker 3: because we have something really cool we're doing for Olivia
- 5:38Speaker 3: Rodrigo for you to see her. Olivia Rodrigo, Pretty Sad
- 5:42Speaker 3: Pep Rallies.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I'm so pumped about this, Kevin.
- 5:45Speaker 2: She's going to be here in November, a couple shows,
- 5:48Speaker 2: sold-out shows. Can we role-play a little bit? I'll play
- 5:52Speaker 2: the role of a high school student, and then you'll
- 5:54Speaker 2: be Ricky from The River, okay?
- 5:55Speaker 6: Okay.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Okay, are you going to ask me how this works?
- 5:58Speaker 3: Because this is around high schools because it's a pep rally.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Yeah, how do I get these tickets? I'm a high
- 6:03Speaker 2: school student, by the way. Okay, you're a high school student.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I want to take my girlfriend to go see Olivia Rodrigo.
- 6:07Speaker 2: How do I get these tickets? I don't like the
- 6:09Speaker 2: voice you're doing. Are you in Middle Tennessee?
- 6:11Speaker 6: Yeah, bro.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Okay, perfect.
- 6:12Speaker 1: You can get.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Free tickets by qualifying at 1075theriver.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Com.
- 6:17Speaker 3: You just got to tell us who you are, where
- 6:19Speaker 3: you go to school, and.
- 6:20Speaker 2: If we pick you.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Then we might show up and give you tickets in
- 6:24Speaker 3: front of your whole school at your pep rally.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Whoa.
- 6:27Speaker 2: That's sick, bruh. And how much does it cost?
- 6:29Speaker 6: Zero dollars.
- 6:30Speaker 3: It's all free, bruh.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And how many? Is it one ticket? Can I take
- 6:34Speaker 2: my girl?
- 6:35Speaker 3: You can take your girl. You're going to get a
- 6:37Speaker 3: pair of tickets.
- 6:37Speaker 4: It's you and someone else.
- 6:39Speaker 6: Okay, bruh.

- 6:53Speaker 2: So then, okay, let's say I win. You pick me.
- 6:56Speaker 2: You come to my pep rally and you pull me
- 6:58Speaker 2: up and you say, hey, he won. And then everybody
- 7:00Speaker 2: cheers for me.
- 7:01Speaker 3: You are the star of the show that day, my friend.

- 7:49Speaker 3: it's gonna be really cool we are very pumped about
- 7:52Speaker 3: it but you gotta go uh qualify for it on
- 7:54Speaker 3: the website three.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Things you need to know morning let's go just after
- 7:58Speaker 2: seven o'clock thank you for being here starting your day
- 8:00Speaker 2: with us ricky's got those three things presented by mark
- 8:02Speaker 2: spain real estate governor.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Bill lee and national international airport came together for dolly
- 8:08Speaker 3: parton They announced their intent to name BNA in honor
- 8:11Speaker 3: of Dolly. They reached out to Dolly's team who expressed
- 8:14Speaker 3: their appreciation for the outpouring support in honor of Dolly.
- 8:17Speaker 3: They said they're touched by the idea and they're open
- 8:20Speaker 3: to continuing this conversation. Nothing has been 100% solidified just yet,
- 8:25Speaker 3: but if this happens, it will be the first international
- 8:28Speaker 3: commercial airport named after a woman in in the U.S.
- 8:31Speaker 3: in history, which is pretty wild. And honestly, I think
- 8:35Speaker 3: everybody's here for it. I don't know a singular person
- 8:37Speaker 3: who is against naming the airport after Dolly Parton. We
- 8:40Speaker 3: will see how this goes. I will keep you updated
- 8:42Speaker 3: with all the details that they share with us. Miley
- 8:45Speaker 3: Cyrus is entering a new era of music. Her website
- 8:49Speaker 3: has been updated with an all red aesthetic to tease
- 8:52Speaker 3: new music and apparently a new era because she's dropped
- 8:55Speaker 3: the last name Cyrus. She seems to only be going
- 8:58Speaker 3: by Miley for this next project. Her website URL, Miley
- 9:01Speaker 3: Cyrus dot com changes to Miley official dot.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Com once it loads.
- 9:06Speaker 3: And all the Cyrus all over the place has pretty
- 9:09Speaker 3: much been dropped other than her foundation, which is the
- 9:12Speaker 3: Miley Cyrus Foundation.
- 9:13Speaker 4: That one obviously cannot be changed.
- 9:15Speaker 3: But Miley also posted an all red aesthetic photo onto
- 9:18Speaker 3: her Instagram with no captions. So things are still very
- 9:20Speaker 3: much under wraps. We don't have a lot of details
- 9:22Speaker 3: just yet. She's just starting to tease it. But as
- 9:25Speaker 3: things come out, I will let you know where that's
- 9:27Speaker 3: going to. And Snoop Dogg, his ice cream company is
- 9:31Speaker 3: hiring a taste tester for $ 10, 000 a month.
- 9:33Speaker 6: $ 10, 000 a month.
- 9:36Speaker 4: To taste test ice cream. The role is with Dr.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Bombay.
- 9:40Speaker 3: It's his family-owned ice cream brand. It launched back in 2023.
- 9:44Speaker 3: This is a full-time international taste tester position that they
- 9:47Speaker 3: are looking for. It's being handled through hiring platform.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Deal, D-E-E-L.
- 9:53Speaker 3: So if you want to apply, you have to go
- 9:55Speaker 3: there to apply for this position. It's open to anywhere, anyone.
- 10:00Speaker 3: in the entire world and the job is 100 real
- 10:04Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 10:04Speaker 4: It's the real deal.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I wonder what sort of qualifications you have to have
- 10:08Speaker 2: to get this job, what they're looking for.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I don't think you have to have many qualifications, if
- 10:11Speaker 3: I'm being honest. I think it's really just like you
- 10:13Speaker 3: like ice cream.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Just taste buds.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Great. Yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 3: I like started to look at the actual application and
- 10:19Speaker 3: it's pretty straightforward. It's just like information about who you are,
- 10:23Speaker 3: flavor preferences, things that like they think you should like do.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Is there anything that we should.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Know about you? Did you start filling out the application?
- 10:31Speaker 4: I thought about it.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Yeah, do it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Why not?
- 10:34Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 10:36Speaker 3: need to know. If I disappear for any reason, it's
- 10:38Speaker 3: because I'm working with Snoop Dogg.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Oh, no, you can do both at the same time.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I wasn't telling you to quit this job. I was saying,
- 10:43Speaker 2: you know, it's probably not a heavy lift tasting ice cream.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You can do both.
- 10:47Speaker 6: Thank you, Ricky.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Appreciate that. Here's Bruno Mars. Zach is out. Again, I've
- 10:51Speaker 2: got a fact filling in for him. Zach's facts. This
- 10:53Speaker 2: one's going to blow your mind. Next on The Riff.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 11:01Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Zach is out today. It's Kevin Mano with that fact
- 11:06Speaker 2: filling in for him. If you properly shuffle a deck
- 11:09Speaker 2: of playing cards and lay them out, the odds are
- 11:11Speaker 2: overwhelming that the order has never been seen before in
- 11:14Speaker 2: the history of man.
- 11:16Speaker 4: That's trippy.
- 11:17Speaker 2: All 52 cards. I mean, think about how big that
- 11:19Speaker 2: number is. 52 digits long. Completely randomized. This even says
- 11:23Speaker 2: if every person on Earth shuffled a deck once every
- 11:27Speaker 2: second since the beginning of the universe, they would still
- 11:30Speaker 2: not scratch the surface of all possible combinations.
- 11:32Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Although the reality of it is that most people are
- 11:35Speaker 3: very bad at shuffling. Have you ever played Uno with
- 11:38Speaker 3: an average person?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Very bad. But again, just to clarify, this is not
- 11:41Speaker 2: Uno I'm talking about. I'm talking about a deck of
- 11:43Speaker 2: 52 cards.
- 11:44Speaker 4: I understand.
- 11:44Speaker 2: It's a big number. A lot of possible combinations.
- 11:47Speaker 3: There you go.
- 11:48Speaker 2: That one blew my mind. It's your fact of the day.
- 11:50Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 11:52Speaker 5: On 107.5 The River.
- 11:54Speaker 2: We want you to tell us about a time that
- 11:57Speaker 2: the giggles took over and you just, it was the
- 12:00Speaker 2: worst possible time. You couldn't stop them. When they hit,
- 12:02Speaker 2: they hit.
- 12:03Speaker 3: This is all because of the weatherman that has gone
- 12:06Speaker 3: viral right now for... uncontrollable giggles to the point where
- 12:10Speaker 3: he could not do his job anymore it.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Was pretty bad uh for me my brother and i
- 12:15Speaker 2: little sitting in church it was like without fail we
- 12:17Speaker 2: would get the giggles and we'd get the looks from
- 12:19Speaker 2: mom and it was it was a mess every time.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Always happens at the worst time possible 615-737-9107 the time
- 12:23Speaker 3: that gave you uncontrollable giggles tell us all.
- 12:25Speaker 2: About it.
- 12:29Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 12:32Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Molly and Antioch, welcome to 107.5 The River.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Tell us a time that.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Your giggles took over, you laughed so hard it hurt.
- 12:41Speaker 7: So, I don't know why, but for some reason I
- 12:44Speaker 7: always get the giggles whenever I move furniture with a friend.
- 12:49Speaker 7: And so, one time we were moving this huge dresser.
- 12:55Speaker 7: upstairs and I could not stop laughing and my friend
- 12:59Speaker 7: was at the bottom and I was at the top
- 13:01Speaker 7: and he was so scared I was gonna drop it
- 13:04Speaker 7: on him and honestly I was too but I could
- 13:07Speaker 7: not oh my god is.
- 13:09Speaker 3: It because you're like thinking about what would happen if
- 13:11Speaker 3: you drop the furniture is that what's making you laugh
- 13:14Speaker 3: I have I have no.
- 13:15Speaker 7: Idea it's been way for years and so anytime i
- 13:19Speaker 7: move furniture with anyone i'm like all right get it
- 13:22Speaker 7: together no giggles today for the furniture that is everybody
- 13:27Speaker 7: surviving because that is.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Like not an inherently funny thing moving.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Furniture is not like oh no considered a funny.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Situation at all Oh, my God.
- 13:36Speaker 3: This is funny, though, that you think it's funny and
- 13:38Speaker 3: that you can't stop giggling.
- 13:39Speaker 4: So that is fantastic, Molly.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Thank you for calling in.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Thanks for sharing that with us. It's a pretty good
- 13:45Speaker 2: tactic to just, like, avoid having to help people move
- 13:48Speaker 2: and stuff. Like, I can't help you move. I'm going
- 13:49Speaker 2: to get the giggles. i'm gonna drop everything and real
- 13:52Speaker 2: quick if you didn't hear it this is the uh
- 13:54Speaker 2: the audio that's gone viral uh kind of spurred this
- 13:57Speaker 2: conversation the weatherman that got the giggles breaks.
- 13:59Speaker 8: And clouds are possible into the afternoon uh but overall
- 14:03Speaker 8: i'm so sorry uh overall a cloudier damp uh somewhat
- 14:08Speaker 8: wet day out there a few bands of storms in
- 14:12Speaker 8: some spots uh we gotta finish up this weather right now.
- 14:17Speaker 2: This goes on for a very long time.
- 14:21Speaker 6: It's the high-pitched voice for me that gets me every
- 14:25Speaker 6: time I hear this or watch this video.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I crack up.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Nobody stopped him. Nobody jumped in to save him.
- 14:43Speaker 3: You can't because everybody else, you know when you get
- 14:45Speaker 3: the giggles and then it's contagious.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yeah, very much.
- 14:47Speaker 3: And everybody around you gets the giggles, which is why
- 14:50Speaker 3: Molly moving furniture and getting the giggles.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Is such a bad idea. There's not much left. Let's
- 14:54Speaker 2: just finish this and see it to the end. For
- 14:58Speaker 2: linearist coastal spots.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Different story, a little cooler.
- 15:04Speaker 4: A lot of the 70s.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Josh, please take it. What happened to professionalism?
- 15:11Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:13Speaker 3: It's time to play Kevin Mano's game of the day.
- 15:15Speaker 3: It's the super easy baseball quiz for tickets to the
- 15:18Speaker 3: Nashville Sounds game this Sunday.
- 15:21Speaker 4: It's Sunday Family Fun Day.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Yeah, Ricky's going to be out there. If you win
- 15:24Speaker 2: these tickets, you're going to go hang out with Ricky
- 15:25Speaker 2: at the Sounds game. Jenna in Nashville is on the line.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Good morning, Jenna.
- 15:30Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Are you a baseball fan?
- 15:34Speaker 5: Yes, and my son loves baseball.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Okay, cool. So he's so excited to go.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Well, then this should be no problem for you. It's
- 15:40Speaker 2: the Super Easy Baseball Quiz. That's what it's called. You
- 15:44Speaker 2: need two out of three answers to get these tickets, okay? Okay.
- 15:48Speaker 2: You feel good about a Super Easy Baseball Quiz?
- 15:50Speaker 6: I think so.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Jenna, I feel like he's overcompensating and something's about to happen. Like,
- 15:54Speaker 3: he keeps saying it's super easy, and that's freaking me out.
- 15:57Speaker 2: That's the name of the game.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Okay, two out of three of them, the tickets are yours.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Your game starts right now. Jenna, what defensive position is
- 16:08Speaker 2: located directly behind home plate? Who is that?
- 16:11Speaker 7: The catcher.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Point on the board for Jenna.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Super easy. Jenna, you need this to win. Who was
- 16:19Speaker 2: the 1998 MVP of the National League?
- 16:24Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 16:25Speaker 7: 1998.
- 16:26Speaker 6: Oh, um....
- 16:34Speaker 4: If you don't know it, that's okay, Jenna.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't expect you to know this.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Okay, first off, that was rude, Kevin.
- 16:41Speaker 2: That was rude.
- 16:42Speaker 4: You didn't expect her to get this.
- 16:44Speaker 2: We're going to say you ran out of time. You
- 16:45Speaker 2: ran out of time. You didn't get that one. It
- 16:47Speaker 2: was Sammy Sosa of the Chicago Cubs.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I know that name.
- 16:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Sammy Sosa.
- 16:52Speaker 6: He was great. Yeah, I know the name, too.
- 16:54Speaker 2: You're still alive. You get this, you win, okay?
- 16:57Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:57Speaker 2: What color are the bases on a baseball field?
- 17:02Speaker 6: White. Hey!
- 17:05Speaker 2: Congratulations. Awesome. Thank you.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I got nervous.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I can feel the fear coming from your from your presence.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Your aura was very nervous, but you won.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Congrats.
- 17:17Speaker 4: You're going to the sounds game this Sunday.
- 17:19Speaker 6: Awesome.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Thank you guys so much. Thank you so much. She
- 17:23Speaker 2: was pretty easy.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that was easy.
- 17:25Speaker 3: I still just there's something about you that I don't trust, Kevin.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I mean, can you ever really trust me, though, you know?
- 17:30Speaker 6: No.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Never trust anybody, Ricky. That's a good rule to live by.
- 17:33Speaker 2: We've got more of these tickets super easy tomorrow. Same
- 17:36Speaker 2: time if you want them.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Let's go. Happy Monday, friends. Welcome to a brand new week.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Ricky Sanchez has those three things presented by Mark Spain
- 17:44Speaker 2: Real Estate.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Olivia Rodrigo's festival, Daisy Chain Fields, raised millions for women
- 17:49Speaker 3: and girls charities. After Olivia Rodrigo announced on Friday, she
- 17:55Speaker 3: shared with everybody that Daisy Chain Fields had raised $ 10
- 17:59Speaker 3: million for women-focused nonprofits. And then Melinda French Gates got involved.
- 18:05Speaker 3: She has doubled that number, totaling the donation to $ 20 million.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 18:09Speaker 3: The donation will go to 10 nonprofit partners, including Planned Parenthood,
- 18:14Speaker 3: the National Women's Law Center, and.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Black Mamas Matter Alliance.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Daisy Chainfield's united a woman-led lineup, including artists like Chapel Roan, Dochi,
- 18:23Speaker 3: and Bikini Kill, who's known as the band.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Who pioneered Riot Grrrl movements. So just a really cool moment.
- 18:29Speaker 3: We love to see, you know, people doing good with
- 18:32Speaker 3: their work. With their fame, you know, with the fact, yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 3: the fact that people know who she is and the
- 18:38Speaker 3: fact that she could do something like this is really amazing.
- 18:39Speaker 4: We'd love to see it.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Mount Juliet and others are going to honor Dolly Parton
- 18:44Speaker 3: with their Christmas parade theme. The city announced that this
- 18:47Speaker 3: year's Christmas parade theme will be a Holly Dolly Christmas.
- 18:51Speaker 4: So cute.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Parade entrance will honor the life and legacy of Dolly Parton.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Ashland City also announced plans to honor Dolly through their
- 18:59Speaker 3: Christmas parade. They're even going to change the parade theme
- 19:02Speaker 3: from its previous one. The town of Ashland City's theme
- 19:05Speaker 3: will also be a Holly Dolly Christmas.
- 19:08Speaker 2: So cute. I like it.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I love it. It's such a cute way to honor her.
- 19:11Speaker 4: And Jordan Woods, her lucky bag, is.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Now available in bridal white after her wedding. So her
- 19:17Speaker 3: Woods by Jordan orange bag was a staple at almost
- 19:20Speaker 3: all of the Knicks games that she went to. And
- 19:22Speaker 3: leading up to their historic champion win in June, everybody said,
- 19:26Speaker 3: it's the lucky bag.
- 19:27Speaker 4: This is what's happening here.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Every time she brought the bag and she would sit courtside,
- 19:31Speaker 3: they would win. The purse became such a phenomenon that
- 19:33Speaker 3: it was actually displayed in the Guggenheim Museum for a
- 19:36Speaker 3: little while because of the fact that it got so
- 19:38Speaker 3: much popularity. Now she's launched a whole bridal collection and
- 19:42Speaker 3: it features a white version of that clutch purse.
- 19:44Speaker 4: So you can take the luck. on your wedding day.
- 19:46Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 19:49Speaker 4: need to know.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 19:51Speaker 3: We want to know where you hide your snacks. It's 107.5
- 19:55Speaker 3: The River. There's a couple who spent $ 2, 000 to turn
- 19:59Speaker 3: an unused bedroom like alcove, almost like a little... Little
- 20:03Speaker 3: area to put clothes, but not exactly a closet. They
- 20:07Speaker 3: changed it all, and they made it into a secret
- 20:10Speaker 3: dessert closet. So they have cabinets, a mini fridge, a
- 20:13Speaker 3: retro milkshake maker.
- 20:15Speaker 7: Wow.
- 20:16Speaker 1: It was all.
- 20:16Speaker 3: DIY, and they made it so that they could hide
- 20:18Speaker 3: from their kids and actually enjoy their treats.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Okay, that makes sense. At first, I didn't realize they
- 20:22Speaker 2: had kids, so it makes sense that, yes.
- 20:24Speaker 6: They had to hide.
- 20:24Speaker 3: So they're hiding their snacks in this place, and they
- 20:27Speaker 3: get to sit in there. There's enough room for them
- 20:29Speaker 3: to actually stand in there and enjoy their treats.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm jealous of these folks.
- 20:33Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 20:35Speaker 2: One day the kids are going to find out, though,
- 20:36Speaker 2: and they're going to be so mad. For sure, for sure.
- 20:41Speaker 6: 615-737-9107.
- 20:41Speaker 2: If you have a little secret hiding spot that you
- 20:43Speaker 2: go to hide snacks for me, and I feel like
- 20:45Speaker 2: this will be the most popular answer, the car. If
- 20:49Speaker 2: I want to just enjoy something by myself, it's normally
- 20:51Speaker 2: if I'm out at the grocery store or something, I
- 20:53Speaker 2: just grab a little something for myself.
- 20:54Speaker 3: But you can't do like chocolate or anything that might
- 20:57Speaker 3: get melty if you put it in the car because
- 20:58Speaker 3: it gets too hot.
- 20:59Speaker 2: You just eat it immediately. That's what I'm saying. Between
- 21:02Speaker 2: the car and your house, you eat it, then you
- 21:04Speaker 2: throw it away and you bury it in the trash
- 21:06Speaker 2: and you hide the evidence.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Bury it in the trash?
- 21:09Speaker 4: Yeah, you got to get creative.
- 21:11Speaker 2: 615-737-9107. Where do you secretly eat snacks? Sometimes throw it
- 21:15Speaker 2: away at the gas station, so there's just no trail whatsoever. Wow,
- 21:18Speaker 2: this is a lot.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Ricky zach and mano.
- 21:22Speaker 5: In the morning on 107.5 the river we were talking
- 21:25Speaker 5: about uh secret snacks where you go to hide from
- 21:28Speaker 5: your family and enjoy your snacks i said my car
- 21:31Speaker 5: would be in my number one spot i was shocked
- 21:33Speaker 5: to hear.
- 21:34Speaker 3: That but the whole thing is that this couple spent
- 21:36Speaker 3: two thousand dollars to turn a closet into their dessert
- 21:40Speaker 3: closet it's got a mini fridge places to hide all
- 21:43Speaker 3: their snacks their kids can't get in and they get
- 21:45Speaker 3: to enjoy everything.
- 21:46Speaker 2: In peace they rule i love them it's Crazy. I
- 21:49Speaker 2: found a list of some of the most popular spots
- 21:52Speaker 2: to hide snacks and eat them away from your family.
- 21:54Speaker 2: This one just says under a blanket on the couch.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I feel like that's the laziest possible hiding spot.
- 21:59Speaker 4: That is not a good idea. What if you have pets?
- 22:02Speaker 2: The shower.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Okay, I did see somebody say shampoo bottle. If you
- 22:08Speaker 3: clean out a shampoo bottle, you can fill it with
- 22:11Speaker 3: things like M & Ms or like tiny candies.
- 22:15Speaker 2: That might be taking it too far. I think you
- 22:16Speaker 2: have a problem if you're doing that.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Hey.
- 22:19Speaker 4: You got to do what you got to do.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I guess you do. The laundry room. Nobody voluntarily goes
- 22:23Speaker 2: into the laundry room, so it's perfect, is what this says.
- 22:26Speaker 2: The pantry. Yeah, a lot of people will just stand
- 22:28Speaker 2: in the pantry and shove things in their mouth. That
- 22:30Speaker 2: happens all the time. The garage. Okay, I like that.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I could see myself enjoying some snacks in the garage.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I feel like my worry would be animals getting in
- 22:39Speaker 3: the garage because of the snacks.
- 22:40Speaker 2: You know what I mean? That's one thing I'd worry about.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Maybe you don't keep them there. You just take them
- 22:43Speaker 2: out there.
- 22:44Speaker 4: I'd take them out there and eat them?
- 22:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Okay, fair, fair. The bathroom, that's a pretty common one
- 22:48Speaker 2: because you lock the door. You go in the bathroom,
- 22:50Speaker 2: that's private time anyway. It's supposed to be at least.
- 22:54Speaker 4: I know a lot of parents have a hard time.
- 22:55Speaker 3: With their kids making that private time.
- 22:58Speaker 2: And then on the list that I found, I was right.
- 23:00Speaker 2: The car is the most popular thing. spot to hide
- 23:03Speaker 2: snacks and eat snacks away from the family.
- 23:05Speaker 6: Eat snacks.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I mean, a lot of people also say to hide them,
- 23:09Speaker 3: put them under like tofu or lettuce in the refrigerator.
- 23:11Speaker 4: No kid's going to look there. They never look for
- 23:14Speaker 4: the healthy foods, you know?
- 23:16Speaker 2: Sure, maybe take like a bag of frozen spinach and
- 23:18Speaker 2: empty it out and put in a bunch of Reese's
- 23:20Speaker 2: Pieces or something.
- 23:21Speaker 4: I have to hide my snacks from my husband, though.
- 23:24Speaker 6: Do you?
- 23:24Speaker 3: Who is not a child, can reach all the cabinets,
- 23:28Speaker 3: and can look for things.
- 23:29Speaker 2: But he wouldn't even eat them. Like, you like candy.
- 23:31Speaker 2: He's Mr. Health Food Conscious.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah, but if I get anything salty, he loves a
- 23:37Speaker 3: salty snack.
- 23:37Speaker 4: He loves chips, pretzels, things like that.
- 23:40Speaker 3: And like, if I don't buy him a version for
- 23:42Speaker 3: himself and a version for me, mine are gone the
- 23:46Speaker 3: day I buy them because he eats all the snacks.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Okay.
- 23:49Speaker 4: He's a garbage disposal.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Where are you? Do you not want to say where
- 23:52Speaker 2: you're hiding him?
- 23:53Speaker 4: I would never share that. He listens to the podcast.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 23:58Speaker 6: On 107.5 The River.
- 23:59Speaker 2: It is time for the Daily Double Tap here on 107.5
- 24:02Speaker 2: The River. Every day about this time, we play some
- 24:05Speaker 2: audio from a video. And today, Ricky picked this one.
- 24:08Speaker 2: She thinks it sums up Me, what it's like to
- 24:10Speaker 2: be friends with me.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It's a great example of what it's like to be
- 24:14Speaker 3: friends with you. And you're going to relate to this
- 24:17Speaker 3: because you have a Kevin Mano in your life as well.
- 24:19Speaker 4: I know that you do. You got to hear this.
- 24:21Speaker 2: All right, here it is. My whole life consists of
- 24:24Speaker 2: people asking me if I've seen this movie and me
- 24:26Speaker 2: telling them I haven't seen that movie and them telling
- 24:29Speaker 2: me I should see that movie and me telling them
- 24:31Speaker 2: I will add it to the list. But there is
- 24:33Speaker 2: no list and I will not watch that movie.
- 24:36Speaker 6: There's no list?
- 24:37Speaker 3: Okay, but I actually do have a list and I
- 24:40Speaker 3: do genuinely try.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I don't believe you.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I genuinely try.
- 24:42Speaker 2: To watch all of the movies.
- 24:44Speaker 4: It's in my head.
- 24:45Speaker 2: It's imaginary. It's in my head. That's not a list.
- 24:48Speaker 3: It's a list in my head, and I try to
- 24:49Speaker 3: watch the movies that you suggest, but you suggest so many, Kevin,
- 24:52Speaker 3: and it becomes very overwhelming.
- 24:54Speaker 4: And then you harass me until I watch the movie.
- 24:57Speaker 6: It's a lot.
- 24:58Speaker 2: You're not wrong. You're not wrong. I feel like I've
- 25:01Speaker 2: given you multiple suggestions today.
- 25:03Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 25:04Speaker 2: What were we just talking about?
- 25:05Speaker 3: There was a movie that you harassed me for four
- 25:08Speaker 3: weeks to watch. And every day you said.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Did you watch it yet?
- 25:13Speaker 4: And it was horrendous.
- 25:14Speaker 2: You still haven't seen Back Rooms, though. That was what
- 25:16Speaker 2: I wanted you to see that in the theater.
- 25:18Speaker 4: That was the one that for four weeks you asked
- 25:20Speaker 4: me if I watched it.
- 25:21Speaker 2: If Back Rooms returns to theaters or if there's a
- 25:23Speaker 2: theater around here playing Back Rooms, you still got to go.
- 25:27Speaker 2: You have to see it on the big screen. Do
- 25:28Speaker 2: you see what I mean? We were talking about Apollo
- 25:32Speaker 2: 13 earlier. Have you not seen Apollo 13? You've got
- 25:35Speaker 2: to watch Apollo 13.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Having these conversations with you is so hard.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I'm going to buy you a pad of paper so
- 25:42Speaker 2: you can actually make a physical list. My movie list.
- 25:45Speaker 2: If somebody in your life is recommending movies, it's because
- 25:47Speaker 2: they care about you and they want you to enjoy
- 25:49Speaker 2: a good movie.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I get it.
- 25:50Speaker 6: I get it.
- 25:51Speaker 4: I do the same thing to you.
- 25:52Speaker 3: It's just maybe once every few months as opposed to
- 25:55Speaker 3: every single day.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Slow down on my recommendations. I hear you loud and clear.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I will give fewer recommendations.
- 26:03Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning. Ricky, Zach, and
- 26:53Speaker 6: Mano in the morning.
