- 0:01Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 0:06Speaker 2: And good afternoon, 305 on another glorious, gorgeous Wednesday afternoon.
- 0:12Speaker 2: It's October 28th, almost the end of October here, and
- 0:16Speaker 2: we're at 73 degrees. The sun is shining. We've got
- 0:19Speaker 2: dry weather. into the kingdom of Mahoning here today, and
- 0:22Speaker 2: we're just loving these days that we're having. You just
- 0:26Speaker 2: can't beat it. Anyway, good afternoon. Nice to be with
- 0:28Speaker 2: you here at 3.05 in the afternoon on NewsRadio 570 WQEN.
- 0:32Speaker 3: And my top secret number is always 330-729-9977.
- 0:35Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 0:35Speaker 2: You're on the air. Hey, Ron.
- 0:35Speaker 3: How's it going?
- 0:36Speaker 5: Good.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Your comment, please.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Oh, I was just looking at the.
- 0:50Speaker 5: Elections, like odds markets and stuff. And I think I'd
- 0:55Speaker 5: bet on Vivek winning by a very narrow margin at
- 1:00Speaker 5: this point, I think.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I hope you're right. I mean, I really sincerely hope
- 1:07Speaker 2: you're right. I'll say it again. Amy Acton isn't qualified
- 1:12Speaker 2: to be governor of the state of Ohio, period. And
- 1:14Speaker 2: there's certainly a lot of questions about so much of
- 1:17Speaker 2: her background.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, everybody I'm talking to that is a
- 1:24Speaker 5: normal frame of mind is like, I don't understand how
- 1:27Speaker 5: anyone could vote for her. So I think a lot
- 1:29Speaker 5: of independents are just going to like either, you know,
- 1:32Speaker 5: really stay away from her if they have their head
- 1:35Speaker 5: screwed on straight, I think. And, you know, and with.
- 1:41Speaker 6: Again, she's favored.
- 1:43Speaker 5: But if they were offering a bet on that, which
- 1:45Speaker 5: they do, I would bet that Vivek would win by
- 1:48Speaker 5: a little bit, I hope, because she's just a bad candidate.
- 1:52Speaker 5: And people on that side refuse to even acknowledge that
- 1:55Speaker 5: she's a bad candidate, which I don't understand that. For
- 2:01Speaker 5: the same reason, I think that I think Husted is
- 2:04Speaker 5: probably going to go down because I admit he's a
- 2:07Speaker 5: very good candidate.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Well, I would certainly hope not.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I would certainly hope not because Sherrod Brown is, as
- 2:15Speaker 2: far as Sherrod Brown, he was a lousy senator. OK,
- 2:20Speaker 2: so I don't need to say whether he's a good
- 2:21Speaker 2: or bad candidate. He backed everything. Once again, Joe Biden
- 2:25Speaker 2: support it. I mean, I say this to each and
- 2:27Speaker 2: every one of you. Do you want to go back
- 2:29Speaker 2: to this lunacy? Do you want to go back to
- 2:31Speaker 2: an open border? Do you want to go back to
- 2:33Speaker 2: this crazy sexual agenda? that that they had you want
- 2:36Speaker 2: to go back to ripping down statues and getting that
- 2:39Speaker 2: we can't call it columbus day if you're white you
- 2:42Speaker 2: got you're a white supremacist if you're white you only
- 2:45Speaker 2: got anywhere because of white privilege i mean does anyone
- 2:47Speaker 2: want to go back to a party that attacked you
- 2:49Speaker 2: if you were white I mean, it's almost like the
- 2:52Speaker 2: party of racists anymore. It's all about your skin color
- 2:55Speaker 2: and your sexuality, and.
- 2:58Speaker 3: They hold it.
- 2:59Speaker 2: It's just unbelievable to me. Well, I don't want to
- 3:02Speaker 2: go back to that, and I don't want to go
- 3:04Speaker 2: back to the open border, and I don't want to
- 3:06Speaker 2: go back to more governments, more taxes and inflation policy.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I'll just say it right now off the top of
- 3:13Speaker 2: the program. I think that there are far too many
- 3:15Speaker 2: people sitting on their ass doing nothing. Now, I'm not
- 3:18Speaker 2: talking if you're... a senior citizen or retired on social
- 3:21Speaker 2: security or anything along those lines. I'm talking about too
- 3:25Speaker 2: many people that are on the dole because they choose
- 3:27Speaker 2: that lifestyle because they don't want to be a productive
- 3:30Speaker 2: citizen or they don't want to go to work. Folks,
- 3:34Speaker 2: sit down, buckle up. There's plenty of people in this
- 3:36Speaker 2: society and they will be voting Democrat that fall into
- 3:39Speaker 2: that category. And what they need is a good kick
- 3:42Speaker 2: in the ass more than anything to do something with
- 3:44Speaker 2: your life. We make it far too easy for too
- 3:47Speaker 2: many people to sit around and put no effort forth
- 3:52Speaker 2: and still have a somewhat comfortable life.
- 3:57Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I hope Houston wins. I do.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I do not want Brown to get in there. No,
- 4:02Speaker 5: and I hope they retain the Senate. There's going to
- 4:06Speaker 5: be problems.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Do you want two years of impeachment and all of
- 4:13Speaker 2: this nonsense that we've been through? I mean, the Russian hoax,
- 4:17Speaker 2: the first term of Trump for three years, all a
- 4:21Speaker 2: gigantic hoax story. and lie. We see the nonsense that
- 4:24Speaker 2: goes on. I mean, do you want to go through
- 4:26Speaker 2: that for two years? Trump, in general, Trump has this
- 4:30Speaker 2: going in the right direction, economically speaking. Bump in the
- 4:33Speaker 2: road because of the war? Absolutely. Once again, I say
- 4:37Speaker 2: for the millionth time, I don't know everything they know
- 4:39Speaker 2: as far as what the situation is over there. So
- 4:42Speaker 2: I got to confess that they're not going to tell me.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But I look at the competence of people. You know,
- 4:47Speaker 2: I think Trump overall has done a good job as President.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Rubio's an outstanding Secretary of State. The cabinet he surrounds
- 4:55Speaker 2: him with is a cabinet of pretty bright people. And
- 4:59Speaker 2: I think economically the country's going in the right direction.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, besides the impeachment stuff, I think if
- 5:08Speaker 5: they get Congress on both sides, they're going to try
- 5:12Speaker 5: and make this Iran thing even worse of a failure.
- 5:15Speaker 5: They'll do War Powers Act. They don't even care. A
- 5:18Speaker 5: lot of these people don't even care if we lose
- 5:20Speaker 5: military people. As a matter of fact, they even want
- 5:23Speaker 5: it to happen. They want failure for this country.
- 5:28Speaker 3: I would say this to all of you. To all
- 5:30Speaker 3: of you listening.
- 5:33Speaker 2: When it's your time to vote, and I hope you
- 5:35Speaker 2: didn't vote yet, but if you do vote, I mean,
- 5:37Speaker 2: you look at Keith Faber. He is running for Attorney
- 5:39Speaker 2: General in the state of Ohio. Keith Faber. He's a Republican.
- 5:44Speaker 2: He's endorsed by 81 of 88 sheriffs. Now, I don't
- 5:49Speaker 2: think I've ever seen that before. You follow me? 81
- 5:53Speaker 2: of 88 sheriffs endorsing Keith Faber for attorney general. That
- 5:57Speaker 2: tells you something right there. I mean, I don't know
- 5:59Speaker 2: who's running against him, but you'd be nuts to vote
- 6:03Speaker 2: for anyone but Keith Faber, in my opinion, right? You
- 6:07Speaker 2: got Frank LaRose on the ballot. Frank LaRose is just
- 6:12Speaker 2: an incredible military record that he did.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Green Beret.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I mean, he's a guy that was actually in combat
- 6:20Speaker 2: and fought. And, I mean, he's an impressive guy. as
- 6:23Speaker 2: far as his military background is concerned. And he's done
- 6:28Speaker 2: an excellent job in his office in the state of Ohio.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I will vote for Frank LaRose, whatever he runs for.
- 6:36Speaker 2: And he's a Republican on the ballot again this time.
- 6:39Speaker 2: You go to the local level. I mean, I saw
- 6:41Speaker 2: the other day that the newspaper endorsed Christine Oliver for commissioner. Well,
- 6:46Speaker 2: that doesn't surprise me at all. Lauren McNally, as state rep,
- 6:50Speaker 2: didn't show up. She has a horrible attendance record. So
- 6:54Speaker 2: Lauren McNally is state rep collected the paycheck, but didn't
- 6:58Speaker 2: show up to do the work. Now. So, so now
- 7:02Speaker 2: you're saying this just doesn't make sense to me. And I,
- 7:06Speaker 2: and I look at that and say, I don't give
- 7:07Speaker 2: a damn if she's a Democrat or Republican, it remains
- 7:11Speaker 2: the same to me. You collected the paycheck, but you
- 7:13Speaker 2: got a lousy attendance record. That's all I need to know.
- 7:16Speaker 2: You wanted the job, but you didn't do the job.
- 7:19Speaker 2: So does it surprise me that the paper endorsed Christine
- 7:22Speaker 2: Oliver for Mahoning County Commissioner? Not at all. It makes
- 7:27Speaker 2: perfect sense to me. As I go on here, is
- 7:31Speaker 2: there a better auditor than Ralph Meacham? I've been around
- 7:35Speaker 2: for 41 years in this community. He is probably the
- 7:39Speaker 2: best auditor in the history of this. He's just done
- 7:42Speaker 2: a terrific job. Meacham has just done a phenomenal job.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Just bear with me, Carl. I tell this story. When
- 7:47Speaker 2: Ralph Meacham ran, he came out of the private sector
- 7:50Speaker 2: as CPA and ran to be auditor. When he became auditor,
- 7:54Speaker 2: guess what? He didn't play politics. He went down and
- 7:58Speaker 2: took over that position, and he didn't fire everybody and
- 8:01Speaker 2: bring in a bunch of cronies for political reasons. He
- 8:04Speaker 2: basically said to that office, if you're doing your job,
- 8:06Speaker 2: you can stay. I'm looking for good, competent people that
- 8:09Speaker 2: can perform their job well, and many of you have
- 8:11Speaker 2: many years of experience. And he kept the vast majority
- 8:14Speaker 2: of the staff there, with the exception of some people
- 8:17Speaker 2: in upper positions that were way too political. You follow me?
- 8:21Speaker 2: They were all about politics, not about doing a job.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So he didn't fire the entire staff. He hardly fired anybody.
- 8:28Speaker 2: And he took over with a new philosophy, and he
- 8:32Speaker 2: didn't play politics anymore. And Ralph Beecham is the best
- 8:36Speaker 2: auditor this community has ever had. I mean, there's absolutely
- 8:42Speaker 2: no way this young guy running against him is like,
- 8:46Speaker 2: he doesn't make a lick of sense to me. I mean,
- 8:48Speaker 2: at all. It's like he's a Democrat, but Meacham does
- 8:53Speaker 2: an excellent job. And his biggest campaign thing is, well,
- 8:57Speaker 2: we only got one guy doing measurements, you know, for
- 9:00Speaker 2: scales and the gas pumps. Well, guess what? We don't
- 9:03Speaker 2: have any major issues with them now, do we? We
- 9:06Speaker 2: don't have gas stations shorting on a gallon of gas.
- 9:09Speaker 2: We don't have scales that aren't getting done. So we
- 9:13Speaker 2: got one guy that's doing the job and staying busy
- 9:15Speaker 2: doing the job, and he's productive at it. So, I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 2: his campaign platform is ridiculous. I mean, absolutely. There is
- 9:24Speaker 2: no scandal. There's no incompetence there with your gas pump
- 9:27Speaker 2: and gallon of.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Gas of the scales.
- 9:29Speaker 2: And this is the issue you're running on because you
- 9:32Speaker 2: can't find anything really wrong with what Meacham is doing
- 9:35Speaker 2: because Meacham's doing a terrific job.
- 9:37Speaker 3: As the auditor.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And then I saw somebody forward me a video of
- 9:42Speaker 2: this young man, and he's talking about affordability and this
- 9:46Speaker 2: kind of stuff. You're running for auditor, for God's sakes.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Do you even know what the job is about? So,
- 9:52Speaker 2: you know, Ralph Meacham does a great job. Why would
- 9:54Speaker 2: you vote against him? You should have your head examined.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Christine Oliver, I think, obviously got the vindicated endorsement and
- 10:01Speaker 2: justifiably so just on a lack of attendance when you
- 10:04Speaker 2: were state rep. Where else can I go on this?
- 10:08Speaker 2: I mean, there's There's so many of these offices that
- 10:11Speaker 2: you've got to look at. If you're going to vote
- 10:13Speaker 2: for somebody for judge, don't you think they should have
- 10:16Speaker 2: practiced in that arena? Don't you think they should be
- 10:19Speaker 2: a lawyer that actually worked in that court that they
- 10:22Speaker 2: want to be a judge in and understands that court?
- 10:25Speaker 2: I think that's pretty vital if you're going to vote
- 10:27Speaker 2: for them for judge. And many of these people have
- 10:30Speaker 2: not practiced in these courts yet. And I just don't
- 10:35Speaker 2: know what to tell you. I mean, Houston is a
- 10:38Speaker 2: better choice over Sherrod Brown, who's just backed all this craziness.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Amy Acton isn't qualified to be governor. Vivek is a
- 10:46Speaker 2: far better choice. Ralph Meacham's the only choice, in my opinion,
- 10:50Speaker 2: for state auditor. Christine Oliver deserved the Vindicator endorsement. And
- 10:55Speaker 2: I'll just have to go through the, like I said,
- 10:58Speaker 2: Keith Faber for his 8188 sheriffs. LaRose deserves to be
- 11:04Speaker 2: voted in again. I'm just, I could just go through
- 11:07Speaker 2: all this kind of stuff. I mean, where do you
- 11:10Speaker 2: want me to start or stop? Go ahead, caller.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Yeah, agreed with pretty much everything there. I'm hoping, willing
- 11:19Speaker 5: to bet that reason prevails and it holds down the
- 11:22Speaker 5: fort for the midterms at least. But if some of
- 11:27Speaker 5: these Ohio and local people, their complete loons get in,
- 11:32Speaker 5: it's going.
- 11:34Speaker 3: To be troubling.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I will not vote for a Democrat because I do
- 11:41Speaker 2: not support that crazy-ass agenda at all. I simply I
- 11:46Speaker 2: simply I was just well, you'll have to listen to Rockport. Well,
- 11:50Speaker 2: to the investing program coming on Monday, I just recorded
- 11:54Speaker 2: that for Monday's airing. And the second half of it
- 11:56Speaker 2: is Andrew Smith CPA.
- 11:58Speaker 3: And when you hear him.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Talk about the benefits, all you got through taxes that
- 12:03Speaker 2: you have no idea what Trump did for you.
- 12:05Speaker 3: It's it's it's eye opening because of ignorance.
- 12:09Speaker 2: All right, my friend. Thank you for your call. Appreciate it.
- 12:11Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 12:12Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Hey, it's Senator John Husted.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Senator John Husted. Boy, I hope he wasn't eavesdropping when
- 12:21Speaker 2: I said those things.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Hey, I just was talking a little bit earlier. We
- 12:27Speaker 4: just got a big project funded in Salem to help
- 12:31Speaker 4: eliminate that terrible railroad crossing where people get hit and
- 12:35Speaker 4: trains get stopped and And I was just talking to
- 12:38Speaker 4: some good folks in Salem, and so I thought I'd
- 12:40Speaker 4: give you a call and just say hi.
- 12:42Speaker 3: You know what?
- 12:43Speaker 2: Here's the reality. And just hear me out. I know
- 12:46Speaker 2: you're a busy guy. But I say this to everybody,
- 12:50Speaker 2: and I say it again. There's no way in hell
- 12:51Speaker 2: any of you should be voting for Sherrod Brown. He's
- 12:53Speaker 2: been there for 30 years. And I just want– John,
- 12:57Speaker 2: I won't bring you into the ugliness of this, but
- 12:59Speaker 2: he voted for every crazy thing. That Biden stood for
- 13:03Speaker 2: open borders, the whole ripping down statues, renaming Columbus Day,
- 13:10Speaker 2: the craziness of we can't say mother or father, it's
- 13:15Speaker 2: birthing parents and and the nonsense of the Biden administration.
- 13:20Speaker 2: He was right there supporting it every single step of
- 13:23Speaker 2: the way, including their crazy economic policies.
- 13:26Speaker 3: All of that stuff he supported.
- 13:29Speaker 2: And meanwhile, you take a look at the Trump policies
- 13:33Speaker 2: and the benefits that we've got from the big, beautiful
- 13:36Speaker 2: bill and a secure and closed border. It's just going
- 13:41Speaker 2: in the right direction. There are dramatic differences between you
- 13:44Speaker 2: and what you do and Sherrod Brown. This should be
- 13:48Speaker 2: an easy decision for anybody when it comes to this vote.
- 13:53Speaker 2: There's no way you can vote for Sherrod Brown. Now,
- 13:56Speaker 2: with that being said, take it away, John.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Well, hey, I couldn't disagree with anything you said. I
- 14:03Speaker 4: just have one question. Can you name one thing he's
- 14:05Speaker 4: done to make your life better in over 50 years
- 14:07Speaker 4: and left it off?
- 14:09Speaker 6: No.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Can you name one thing?
- 14:10Speaker 2: No.
- 14:11Speaker 7: And I've been around him.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I just called and told you, hey, I'm helping to
- 14:14Speaker 4: fix the railroad crossing there in Salem. I could go
- 14:19Speaker 4: down the list of things that I've done. He's been
- 14:23Speaker 4: in office for over 50 years. He can't tell you
- 14:26Speaker 4: one thing that he's done. He hasn't run any TV
- 14:28Speaker 4: ads talking about anything he's done. He only uses them
- 14:31Speaker 4: to try to lie about me.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you one thing that I was
- 14:36Speaker 2: just reading about you the other day. And, folks, I
- 14:39Speaker 2: am all about data centers. Make no mistake. It's like
- 14:43Speaker 2: it is the future. If we get them here, they
- 14:46Speaker 2: can lower your property taxes. But let me tell you something,
- 14:49Speaker 2: what this guy at the end of the phone line
- 14:50Speaker 2: was saying. You've got to supply your own power at
- 14:53Speaker 2: a data center. And you've got to supply it.
- 14:56Speaker 3: All right.
- 14:56Speaker 2: So we don't want to put you on a grid
- 14:58Speaker 2: and cause my prices to go up. But it can
- 15:01Speaker 2: also lead to free electricity for people in that community.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Did I read that right, Senator?
- 15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I had legislation to require that. Ask
- 15:11Speaker 4: the House. Every House Democrat basically voted for it. Comes
- 15:16Speaker 4: over to the Senate, Chuck Schumer blocks it because Sherrod
- 15:19Speaker 4: Brown told him to do it because they want to
- 15:21Speaker 4: talk about the issue. They don't actually want to solve
- 15:23Speaker 4: the problem. But yeah, there are data centers who are
- 15:26Speaker 4: coming in saying, we'll supply free power to the local
- 15:30Speaker 4: residents if you let us build a power plant and
- 15:32Speaker 4: a data center.
- 15:33Speaker 6: So- You know, that's up to.
- 15:35Speaker 4: The local community, though. The federal government shouldn't be involved
- 15:37Speaker 4: in telling them what to do.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Right. And the idea that, like, Schumer says, well, no,
- 15:42Speaker 2: we can't do that because it makes it look too
- 15:45Speaker 2: good for you or the Republicans. Well, what about the
- 15:48Speaker 2: citizens that it's good for? That's all I'm interested.
- 15:53Speaker 5: In.
- 15:54Speaker 4: They want to talk about the issue of affordability, but
- 15:56Speaker 4: they don't want to do anything about it. Sherrod Brown
- 15:59Speaker 4: shut down over— he shut down 23 power plants. OK, due
- 16:03Speaker 4: to his votes where he gave the EPA the authority
- 16:05Speaker 4: to shut down power plants. He did all of these
- 16:08Speaker 4: things that jacked up your prices and he wants you
- 16:11Speaker 4: to believe otherwise. And we have the facts to show that, hey,
- 16:14Speaker 4: if you wouldn't shut down all these refineries, you wouldn't
- 16:16Speaker 4: shut down all these power plants. We'd have lower gas
- 16:18Speaker 4: and utility prices.
- 16:20Speaker 2: And I say this to everybody, Senator. I mean, it's
- 16:24Speaker 2: Hillary Clinton, Obama, Biden, and all these people that bought
- 16:27Speaker 2: into this, that regulated the Samus plant out of business,
- 16:32Speaker 2: that had the state-of-the-art equipment in it.
- 16:34Speaker 4: It could be generating electricity today if.
- 16:37Speaker 6: They hadn't shut it down.
- 16:38Speaker 2: And not only did they shut it down by regulating
- 16:40Speaker 2: it out of business, they insisted it be torn down.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Do you remember that? It had to be torn down.
- 16:46Speaker 4: So you couldn't start it back up again.
- 16:47Speaker 8: Right.
- 16:48Speaker 3: And now can you imagine, Senator, do you have a
- 16:50Speaker 3: few minutes?
- 16:50Speaker 2: Can I do a commercial break and come back with you?
- 16:52Speaker 3: I know you're busy.
- 16:53Speaker 9: Sure.
- 16:53Speaker 6: All right.
- 16:54Speaker 3: So this is what an honor this is.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I mean, as you know, I tell everybody I'm looking
- 17:00Speaker 2: forward to casting my vote for Senator Houston and enthusiastically so.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I'll be right back.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Weather and Talk Station 570 WKBN.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Senator John Husted on the end of the line. I'm
- 17:19Speaker 2: going to bounce around a little bit on you just
- 17:21Speaker 2: in general. Are you as impressed as I am just
- 17:23Speaker 2: in general as Keith Faber, 81 of 88 sheriffs endorsing him?
- 17:27Speaker 2: That's an impressive endorsement. Would you not agree, Senator?
- 17:32Speaker 4: It's great because they know that the top law enforcement officer,
- 17:35Speaker 4: at least in the state of Ohio, the Attorney General
- 17:38Speaker 4: is so important and that's why they support him. I'm
- 17:40Speaker 4: proud to have Endorsements from, I think we've got endorsements
- 17:44Speaker 4: from nearly 80 sheriffs, including one Democrat and all the
- 17:49Speaker 4: independent sheriffs who've endorsed me in my race. We had
- 17:54Speaker 4: one sheriff who'd made a commercial for Sherrod Brown in
- 17:56Speaker 4: the past who's endorsed me in supporting my race because
- 17:59Speaker 4: they didn't appreciate what he did with open borders and
- 18:01Speaker 4: all the crime that came in.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Now, I want people to digest that, okay, because it's
- 18:06Speaker 2: news to me. So you're right up there with Faber
- 18:10Speaker 2: having that many sheriffs endorsing you, basically, to continue on
- 18:14Speaker 2: as our senator. That is impressive.
- 18:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 4: The law enforcement, I got endorsed by the FOP, which
- 18:23Speaker 4: has endorsed Sherrod Brown every time that he's run for
- 18:26Speaker 4: office and never endorsed his opponent, and they endorsed me
- 18:31Speaker 4: this time. And I think it's largely because of the
- 18:35Speaker 4: defund the police effort, the defund the Border Patrol, defund
- 18:39Speaker 4: Immigration and Customs Enforcement, letting all of these criminals come in.
- 18:43Speaker 4: In one case just a few months ago, we had
- 18:47Speaker 4: three Ohioans killed in nine days by people who are
- 18:50Speaker 4: in the country illegally driving on Ohio roads. and killing Ohioans,
- 18:55Speaker 4: including one that got a driver's license in Sanctuary State, Connecticut,
- 18:59Speaker 4: drove from Connecticut to Ohio, ran a stop sign, killed
- 19:02Speaker 4: a dad, injured a mom and a baby, and now
- 19:04Speaker 4: they don't have a breadwinner anymore. This is the consequences
- 19:07Speaker 4: of stupid policy that led to a border invasion occur
- 19:12Speaker 4: over the course of the entire Biden administration. It's taking
- 19:15Speaker 4: a long time to undo those mistakes and don't send
- 19:17Speaker 4: the same people back here, back to Washington to cause
- 19:20Speaker 4: the problem in the name of Sherrod Brown.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and he supported all of this nonsense just so people.
- 19:26Speaker 2: All of it.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Yeah, so people can remember it.
- 19:28Speaker 4: He sent Social Security checks to people who were in
- 19:31Speaker 4: the country illegally. He sent COVID checks. Gave them free
- 19:34Speaker 4: health care. All of your tax dollars.
- 19:36Speaker 6: Crazy stuff.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Right. I mean, it doesn't make a lick of sense
- 19:40Speaker 2: for me when this stuff... One of the things that
- 19:43Speaker 2: really annoys me, folks, when it comes to sherry brown's
- 19:45Speaker 2: advertising he talks he talks negatively about you and about
- 19:48Speaker 2: cutting medicaid funding the democrats put in a supplement to
- 19:53Speaker 2: end in five years senator it was they put it
- 19:55Speaker 2: in and they put the sunset date in five years
- 19:58Speaker 2: that's when it was it was temporary because of covid
- 20:01Speaker 2: and and guess what because it ended somehow that's your
- 20:05Speaker 2: fault does that make a lick of sense.
- 20:06Speaker 4: To you That's when he put it in, and I
- 20:11Speaker 4: want to give you what's crazier.
- 20:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Is that we, in the Working Family Tax Cut Plan,
- 20:17Speaker 4: said that the states need to make sure that the
- 20:20Speaker 4: people on Medicaid are actually eligible, okay? Imagine that, that
- 20:25Speaker 4: people are illegally on there stealing Medicaid. The Congressional Budget
- 20:29Speaker 4: Office said basically, hey, if you stop people from stealing Medicaid,
- 20:33Speaker 4: the federal government will spend less on Medicaid.
- 20:35Speaker 7: And guess what the Democrats said?
- 20:37Speaker 4: Well, you're cutting Medicaid.
- 20:39Speaker 10: That's crazy.
- 20:40Speaker 11: This is crazy.
- 20:42Speaker 7: This is how.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Washington and some of their allies in the media work.
- 20:48Speaker 4: You do common sense things, and then they do crazy things,
- 20:52Speaker 4: and then you're made to believe that somehow that was
- 20:56Speaker 4: a cut to somebody who really deserves Medicaid. Of course,
- 21:00Speaker 4: if you're disabled, you're... or you're poor, we want you
- 21:05Speaker 4: to have access to health care, but we don't want
- 21:07Speaker 4: people to rip the system off and make it even
- 21:11Speaker 4: worse for you. We want to stop the fraud, but
- 21:14Speaker 4: the Democrats, they don't want to do that.
- 21:17Speaker 2: It's just like the big, beautiful bill. Listen, everyone gets
- 21:21Speaker 2: a $ 32, 000 deduction, all right? So that's right off the bat.
- 21:25Speaker 2: You don't even have to itemize. And guess what? If
- 21:27Speaker 2: you're over 65, you get an additional $ 6, 000 on top
- 21:32Speaker 2: of that, and a married couple would get $ 12, 000. So
- 21:36Speaker 2: that $ 32, 000 for a married couple becomes $ 44, 000 without itemizing
- 21:42Speaker 2: anything in deductions. That's as a result of the big,
- 21:45Speaker 2: beautiful bill. No tax on tips, no tax on overtime.
- 21:49Speaker 2: It's about keeping more money in my pocket. Agreed? Yeah.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Well, why would you want to send more money to
- 21:55Speaker 4: Washington to have it wasted when you can keep it
- 21:57Speaker 4: and spend it on your priorities?
- 21:59Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 22:01Speaker 4: That's what this country fought, a revolution for freedom. Do
- 22:05Speaker 4: you think giving more money every week out of your
- 22:09Speaker 4: paycheck to Washington makes you freer or less free? Do
- 22:13Speaker 4: you think it makes your life more affordable if you
- 22:15Speaker 4: spend more of your.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Or if you keep more to spend and save on
- 22:20Speaker 4: your priorities?
- 22:21Speaker 6: That's the difference.
- 22:22Speaker 4: That's the fundamental difference. They just want to empower... Democrats
- 22:26Speaker 4: want to empower themselves, give the government more money, and
- 22:30Speaker 4: then force you to beg them to get it back.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I've had enough of Sherrod Brown over the years and
- 22:37Speaker 2: the nonsense. You know, he'll be the first guy to
- 22:40Speaker 2: show up when some company's closing, and then once it's closed,
- 22:43Speaker 2: he just leaves anyway.
- 22:44Speaker 3: He goes back to his.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you know who he is?
- 22:46Speaker 4: He's the guy that stands there when the factory's closing.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I'm the guy that fills it back up with jobs.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Hold on a second.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Let me do one more break. I'll come right back
- 22:53Speaker 1: to you. News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 22:56Speaker 12: Columbus man is being sentenced to life in prison for
- 23:00Speaker 12: fatally stabbing his roommate. Police say 60-year-old James Lumpkin Jr.
- 23:05Speaker 12: attacked John Malinchak with a knife at a home they
- 23:08Speaker 12: shared on Republic Avenue in March of 2022. Lumpkin will
- 23:12Speaker 12: be eligible for parole in 20 years. Toledo City Council
- 23:16Speaker 12: is considering additional restrictions on how police can use and
- 23:19Speaker 12: share information collected through flock camera technology. The proposal would
- 23:24Speaker 12: limit certain data sharing involving reproductive health care, gender-affirming care,
- 23:28Speaker 12: and immigration-related matters. A Pickaway County woman wanted in connection
- 23:33Speaker 12: with the death of her 17-month-old daughter was taken into
- 23:36Speaker 12: custody yesterday by Columbus Police. 30-year-old Brittany Stroud is facing
- 23:40Speaker 12: charges including involuntary manslaughter and child endangering after her child
- 23:44Speaker 12: died from reported fentanyl ingestion. I'm Andy Betts.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I think I might have lost to Senator Houston. I
- 23:49Speaker 2: think I did.
- 23:50Speaker 6: Hello?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Hello? I think I did lose him.
- 24:18Speaker 6: All right.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Well, that was nice. And, you know, Frank LaRose is
- 24:24Speaker 2: running for auditor. I mean, so these are so easy
- 24:30Speaker 2: decisions for me. And they should be for you. I mean,
- 24:35Speaker 2: Houston is just such a better choice than Sherrod Brown.
- 24:42Speaker 2: And I just don't understand it. I just don't understand it.
- 24:46Speaker 2: We have competent candidates running on the Republican platform. Keith Faber,
- 24:52Speaker 2: Frank LaRose, Vivek, we have.
- 25:03Speaker 12: Houston.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I mean, I just think we have just quality people
- 25:07Speaker 2: if they're elected. I honestly think every one of you
- 25:10Speaker 2: is better off than if it goes.
- 25:12Speaker 3: The other way. You're on the air.
- 25:19Speaker 10: Ron, good afternoon.
- 25:19Speaker 6: How are you, sir?
- 25:21Speaker 3: I am well.
- 25:23Speaker 6: I am well.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just contemplating all this kind of stuff.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I'm just thinking the Republican slate of candidates is just
- 25:30Speaker 2: such a better group to vote for. It's just a
- 25:35Speaker 2: day and night difference.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Anyway, go ahead.
- 25:37Speaker 10: There should actually be a commercial that the Republican National
- 25:40Speaker 10: Central Committee should run that should say competence versus craziness.
- 25:44Speaker 9: Yes.
- 25:45Speaker 10: And list the different, you know, and list the Republicans
- 25:47Speaker 10: on one side who were overwhelmingly competent, excuse me, versus
- 25:52Speaker 10: the nut job libtards on the other side who are
- 25:55Speaker 10: all crazy.
- 25:57Speaker 2: I just I think we're at a point where a
- 25:58Speaker 2: lot of people think they're owed something from governments. I mean,
- 26:02Speaker 2: I really think we're at that point in time where
- 26:05Speaker 2: people don't want to take personal responsibility for themselves and
- 26:09Speaker 2: their fate. Somehow it's somebody else's problem and that they're
- 26:12Speaker 2: owed stuff. And like I said when I started, I
- 26:15Speaker 2: think a lot of people need a good kick in
- 26:17Speaker 2: the ass to realize how lucky you are to be
- 26:20Speaker 2: in this great country and you can do great things
- 26:24Speaker 2: with capitalism. Many of these people want to take that
- 26:27Speaker 2: incentive away. Well, not with my vote. Absolutely not with
- 26:31Speaker 2: my vote.
- 26:32Speaker 10: Yeah, we increasingly have a society where there's a whole
- 26:35Speaker 10: bunch of people that feel sorry for themselves for their
- 26:37Speaker 10: station in life. Yet a lot of them are in
- 26:40Speaker 10: that station of life because of bad choices that they've made.
- 26:43Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 26:44Speaker 10: But they're not responsible for that.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:47Speaker 10: And that's becoming a larger and larger chunk of the population,
- 26:53Speaker 10: by the way.
- 26:55Speaker 2: What I'm concerned about is it's becoming too large of
- 26:58Speaker 2: a chunk of the population. And as a result of that, listen,
- 27:02Speaker 2: like I said, I'm not against unemployment because it means
- 27:05Speaker 2: you were employed and you lost your job and you
- 27:07Speaker 2: get unemployment. I'm not opposed to that. I'm not opposed
- 27:09Speaker 2: to Social Security. It means you worked and you got
- 27:11Speaker 2: enough quarters in and you can retire on Social Security
- 27:14Speaker 2: and Medicare. I'm not opposed to that either. But I'm
- 27:17Speaker 2: opposed to saying, okay, you're 25 years old, you're perfectly
- 27:20Speaker 2: healthy and able-bodied, and you choose to sit on your
- 27:23Speaker 2: ass and do nothing and we're going to give you
- 27:24Speaker 2: health care. I am totally opposed to that.
- 27:28Speaker 10: Absolutely. But that's what that's that's the Democrat Party. That's
- 27:32Speaker 10: that is their voter base. The leeches, the people that
- 27:36Speaker 10: just want to suck off the government. That is the
- 27:39Speaker 10: vast majority of the Democrat voter base. Yes, it is.
- 27:44Speaker 10: And so that's and that's who they pander to. That's
- 27:46Speaker 10: who they cater to. And that's, you know, look at
- 27:49Speaker 10: what they're doing. It's all these Democrat socialists. They all
- 27:53Speaker 10: love that saying, I think, I don't know who was
- 27:55Speaker 10: attributed to Marx, you know, to each according to his ability,
- 27:59Speaker 10: which means, you know, if you're a really smart guy,
- 28:01Speaker 10: we still expect you to perform. We expect you to
- 28:04Speaker 10: do smart things and continue to make our society better
- 28:07Speaker 10: because of your intelligence. But then the last half of
- 28:10Speaker 10: that is to each according to their need. Well, that
- 28:14Speaker 10: smart guy doesn't need to eat more anymore food than
- 28:19Speaker 10: the other person. The person is struggling, right? He doesn't
- 28:22Speaker 10: need a bigger house. He doesn't need a nicer car.
- 28:24Speaker 10: So everybody gets the same. So at that point, what's
- 28:29Speaker 10: going to make the smart people and the people that are,
- 28:32Speaker 10: I don't want to say more aggressive.
- 28:34Speaker 2: But more driven? What takes the incentive? You take the
- 28:37Speaker 2: incentive out.
- 28:39Speaker 10: So just look at the Soviet Union. All these people
- 28:43Speaker 10: that think socialism is a great idea. Take a look
- 28:46Speaker 10: at what happened in the Soviet Union after Stalin. I mean,
- 28:49Speaker 10: number one, anybody they don't like, they start killing. You
- 28:53Speaker 10: have big pogroms, you have slaughters, you just start killing millions,
- 28:57Speaker 10: tens of millions of people in Stalin's case because they
- 29:00Speaker 10: disagree with you and they're a threat to your power.
- 29:02Speaker 10: And after you've done that, then you just sort of
- 29:05Speaker 10: placate the masses and throw the crumbs to the masses,
- 29:08Speaker 10: and it's the people in power that get all the plums.
- 29:13Speaker 10: So socialism, communism, it sounds like a neat idea. We'll
- 29:20Speaker 10: all just do our job and everybody will get along
- 29:22Speaker 10: and be happy and great. It doesn't work that way.
- 29:24Speaker 10: It's not the human condition. The human condition is to
- 29:28Speaker 10: strive to get more. We're an animal just like the
- 29:31Speaker 10: other animals in the forest. And I've never seen animals
- 29:35Speaker 10: that could get more, that could eat more, that turn
- 29:39Speaker 10: away at it. That's just nature. So it's an unnatural
- 29:46Speaker 10: economic system. But anyway. And speaking of unemployment, I sent
- 29:50Speaker 10: you an article that Morton Saltmine just laid off over
- 29:52Speaker 10: 70 people.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Now, this is a big deal, folks. A big accident happened.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Many of you probably haven't even followed this. Under Lake
- 30:01Speaker 2: Erie is where we get a lot of our road
- 30:05Speaker 2: salt and our salt from. And Morton has a major
- 30:07Speaker 2: mine there, and Cargill has a major mine there. Well,
- 30:12Speaker 2: yesterday or the day before, some of the miners– this
- 30:17Speaker 2: is 2,000 feet, people, under Lake Erie. That's where this
- 30:22Speaker 2: road salt comes out of. And so they hit an old,
- 30:28Speaker 2: like a... I.
- 30:29Speaker 10: Think it was a brine well that they knew was
- 30:32Speaker 10: in their property. Yeah, that was there since some 1920
- 30:34Speaker 10: factory closed down or whatever.
- 30:41Speaker 2: But there's something along those lines, and they hit it,
- 30:44Speaker 2: and basically they flooded the salt mine, the Morton salt
- 30:48Speaker 2: mine in the Lake Erie area. And as a result
- 30:53Speaker 2: of that, luckily no miners died, but it's underwater. So
- 30:59Speaker 2: the equipment's underwater, the mine's underwater, so you're not getting
- 31:03Speaker 2: any salt out of that mine at all. And that
- 31:06Speaker 2: supplied road salt from Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana Counties, And in
- 31:10Speaker 2: a lot of other places, private folks as well. And
- 31:15Speaker 2: there's a ton of salt that comes out of there.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I mean, there's a huge amount of salt that comes
- 31:19Speaker 2: out of that facility that now is not producing any
- 31:22Speaker 2: salt at all. Because that mine is flooded and who
- 31:26Speaker 2: knows what the future, if any, there is of that facility.
- 31:32Speaker 2: we got a major problem. Hopefully, we'll have a mild
- 31:35Speaker 2: winter because there's going to definitely be a salt shortage
- 31:39Speaker 2: because you can't lose a facility like that and not
- 31:43Speaker 2: have a problem.
- 31:44Speaker 6: Comment?
- 31:45Speaker 10: Well, and if it is lost, I mean, that's probably
- 31:49Speaker 10: half the road salt capacity in Ohio or a good
- 31:52Speaker 10: chunk of it. I mean, that might account for a
- 31:54Speaker 10: decent chunk of the road salt that the state of
- 31:57Speaker 10: Ohio purchases. And you don't develop another one of those
- 32:01Speaker 10: mines overnight. Just the permitting and stuff like that, I
- 32:03Speaker 10: would think you'd be looking five to ten years minimum
- 32:07Speaker 10: just to permit it and start construction on it. You've
- 32:09Speaker 10: got to dig 2,000 feet down and put plants and
- 32:12Speaker 10: equipment and everything else in. So it's going to be
- 32:15Speaker 10: interesting to see what happens. So going forward, the next five,
- 32:19Speaker 10: ten years, we may be paying a lot more for
- 32:21Speaker 10: road salt because of availability.
- 32:24Speaker 2: And that's... That's what the problem is. I just saw
- 32:27Speaker 2: where layoffs go into effect at the Morton Salt Mine
- 32:30Speaker 2: in Lake County. So that tells you, I think, all
- 32:32Speaker 2: you need to know. Obviously, they don't have any work
- 32:35Speaker 2: for any of the folks that are up there because
- 32:37Speaker 2: the mine's flooded.
- 32:38Speaker 3: But, boy, that's going to.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Have a big effect on our roads or private contractors
- 32:43Speaker 2: that need salt for parking lots and that kind of stuff.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Good luck.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Good luck. I mean, it's just not a good thing.
- 32:50Speaker 10: Now, what I called for, I haven't had a chance
- 32:52Speaker 10: yet to listen to yesterday's podcast, but one of the
- 32:54Speaker 10: other listeners texted me and said that you had Dave
- 32:58Speaker 10: Johnson on yesterday, and he was espousing the greatness of
- 33:02Speaker 10: Mike DeWine as our governor.
- 33:04Speaker 6: Yes.
- 33:04Speaker 10: And specifically that he was saying how wonderful he was
- 33:07Speaker 10: for business, and that in Ohio, CNBC did rank Ohio
- 33:11Speaker 10: the number one state in the country this year for
- 33:14Speaker 10: doing business, and so come to Ohio and start a business.
- 33:17Speaker 10: And that's great, you know, but Like I've said before,
- 33:20Speaker 10: if it wasn't for Mike DeWine, number one, nobody would
- 33:23Speaker 10: have ever heard of the name Amy Acton. So that
- 33:25Speaker 10: would be a non-issue right now. I mean, granted, he
- 33:28Speaker 10: might be running against Tim Ryan and still in a
- 33:30Speaker 10: very tight race, but the opponent that he's facing right
- 33:34Speaker 10: now was elevated to that position specifically because DeWine is
- 33:38Speaker 10: an idiot and appointed her to direct the State Department
- 33:42Speaker 10: of Health. So that's issue number one. Number two, the
- 33:46Speaker 10: thing that Dave Johnson and a lot of these other,
- 33:48Speaker 10: you know, I kind of call them country club chamber
- 33:51Speaker 10: of commerce Republicans, the guys that look out more for
- 33:53Speaker 10: the rich than the people. It's great that Ohio is
- 33:56Speaker 10: the number one state in the union for business. I'd
- 33:59Speaker 10: rather it be the number one state in the union
- 34:01Speaker 10: for residents. Because I don't think, you know, I wish
- 34:06Speaker 10: that Mike DeWine would have cared as much about getting
- 34:09Speaker 10: my property taxed down and lowering my tax burden. and
- 34:12Speaker 10: maybe consolidating schools so that we're not spending such a
- 34:15Speaker 10: ridiculous amount of money on schools and doing other beneficial things.
- 34:19Speaker 10: I'm not against the business stuff. We need jobs.
- 34:21Speaker 6: We need that.
- 34:22Speaker 10: But that said, if we're so great for business, do
- 34:25Speaker 10: you see companies banging on their door? Are we opening
- 34:27Speaker 10: a new factory? Are we announcing a new project every
- 34:30Speaker 10: couple of weeks or every couple of months? I haven't
- 34:32Speaker 10: seen anything big since Kimberly Clark decided to come to
- 34:35Speaker 10: the area of you.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Well, that's pretty big. Off the top of my head,
- 34:39Speaker 2: I'd have to sit down and actually... Everybody thinks I
- 34:42Speaker 2: can come up with this off the top of my head,
- 34:44Speaker 2: but I think that we've had a lot of developments
- 34:47Speaker 2: in the states.
- 34:48Speaker 6: I mean.
- 34:49Speaker 10: Well, once again, where is most of that development? They
- 34:53Speaker 10: put it all down in Columbus. Columbus is like a
- 34:55Speaker 10: giant vacuum cleaner of money. from the citizens of the
- 35:01Speaker 10: state of Ohio's wallets. All that money gets vacuumed out
- 35:04Speaker 10: of your wallet and it goes to Columbus, and a
- 35:06Speaker 10: good chunk of it stays there. That Intel project, it's
- 35:10Speaker 10: in Columbus. You can put that Intel project in northeast Ohio.
- 35:12Speaker 10: You can put it in southeast Ohio. But they stuck
- 35:15Speaker 10: it in Columbus. Everything that they announce ends up going
- 35:18Speaker 10: to Columbus, all the big multinationals, everything. And maybe I'm
- 35:23Speaker 10: a selfish person, but I'm tired of everything going to Columbus.
- 35:26Speaker 10: I'd like to see some of it come back to
- 35:27Speaker 10: northeast Ohio. Because this area has been economically devastated since
- 35:32Speaker 10: I was in probably eighth grade when the mills closed.
- 35:35Speaker 10: We've never recovered from that. And we get crumbs while
- 35:38Speaker 10: they're eating caviar and filet mignon down in Columbus every week.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Here's an interesting email. It has nothing to do with
- 35:43Speaker 2: what you're talking about. Are you ready?
- 35:46Speaker 6: Go ahead.
- 35:46Speaker 2: I'm going to just read this to you. To whom
- 35:49Speaker 2: it may concern. There has been an ongoing issue concerning
- 35:52Speaker 2: a cockroach infestation at Leonard Kurtz School for the developmentally
- 35:56Speaker 2: disabled children operated by NCBDD. through a FOIA, FO, Freedom
- 36:05Speaker 2: of Information Act request, their documented cockroach sightings in classrooms,
- 36:10Speaker 2: as well as the entire building, dated December of 2025
- 36:15Speaker 2: until October of 2026. In May of 2026, their kitchen
- 36:20Speaker 2: was voluntarily shut down because the Mahoning County Health Department
- 36:24Speaker 2: conducted an inspection and found an abundance of German cockroaches
- 36:28Speaker 2: in Live cockroaches and dead ones were documented in the
- 36:32Speaker 2: nurse's clinic during summer camp, which was held July 6th
- 36:36Speaker 2: to August 6th. On July 28th, one cockroach was documented
- 36:41Speaker 2: crawling on a teacher. On September 10th, there is documentation
- 36:44Speaker 2: of one cockroach fell from the ceiling onto an employee
- 36:46Speaker 2: in the building. I received no evidence that the parents
- 36:50Speaker 2: were ever notified of cockroaches being in the classroom, nurse's clinic,
- 36:54Speaker 2: and other places throughout the building. To my knowledge, the
- 36:57Speaker 2: only notification the parents received was a warning of a
- 37:01Speaker 2: pest control issue shutting down the kitchen on May 21st. LKS,
- 37:07Speaker 2: Leonard Kurtz students, include mentally fragile, nonverbal children. who cannot
- 37:13Speaker 2: report cockroaches in a classroom to their parents. There is
- 37:17Speaker 2: much more information in the attached 79-page PDF obtained through
- 37:21Speaker 2: my public records request, including many absent pest control invoices.
- 37:27Speaker 2: They were only able to provide two invoices, dated March
- 37:33Speaker 2: 4th and May 11th, from December of 2025 through July
- 37:36Speaker 2: of 2026. How could this be possible? Besides March 4th
- 37:41Speaker 2: and March 11th, Was there pest control at all? I
- 37:46Speaker 2: have multiple documents stating pest control should be scheduled and
- 37:50Speaker 2: treated and treating weekly. The MCBDD, including Leonard Kurtz School,
- 37:56Speaker 2: should be advocates of safety for the developmentally disabled. In
- 38:00Speaker 2: my opinion, the building should have been shut down once
- 38:02Speaker 2: it became clear the problem was out of control. The
- 38:05Speaker 2: Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities has been notified this morning,
- 38:09Speaker 2: and I was told they are starting an investigation. Please
- 38:13Speaker 2: consider investigating this matter yourself as well.
- 38:17Speaker 3: How about that?
- 38:18Speaker 10: Here's my question. Now that it's out there, let's get
- 38:20Speaker 10: Gino out there. Maybe Gino can go do his pest inspection.
- 38:24Speaker 2: But how about that?
- 38:26Speaker 10: The biggest reason I wanted to see Christine Oliver win,
- 38:30Speaker 10: and I hope to God she does because McNally's just
- 38:32Speaker 10: an incompetent fool in my opinion.
- 38:35Speaker 6: So I hope she does.
- 38:36Speaker 10: But if she's on there, I don't ever want to
- 38:38Speaker 10: hear Gino say, it's two against one now. It's still
- 38:41Speaker 10: two against one. Only one person. That would be the
- 38:44Speaker 10: biggest benefit I could think of, because Christine will go
- 38:47Speaker 10: in there and start cleaning up the goofiness. I'm tired,
- 38:50Speaker 10: you know, and he's still one. I would still like
- 38:51Speaker 10: him to just stand up and, you know, every week
- 38:54Speaker 10: start advocating for something that he ran for. And see
- 38:58Speaker 10: Traficante and Rigetti have the temerity to shoo him down,
- 39:03Speaker 10: which they won't do. But he can get up there
- 39:05Speaker 10: and he can say stuff like that he won't.
- 39:07Speaker 3: And will you be voting for the M.
- 39:10Speaker 6: I voted... This was the easiest... We voted.
- 39:12Speaker 10: My wife and I went down to the Board of
- 39:14Speaker 10: Elections two days ago and voted. Easiest election I've ever
- 39:16Speaker 10: voted in. It took literally three or four minutes. I
- 39:19Speaker 10: just voted R all the way down, no on MCBDD,
- 39:23Speaker 10: and yes on requiring identification to vote.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you support... having, I need an ID to
- 39:32Speaker 2: go to the doctor, to go to the bank, to
- 39:35Speaker 2: get on an airplane, but I shouldn't need an ID
- 39:37Speaker 2: to vote? That's because the people who are against it
- 39:40Speaker 2: want voter fraud. And I don't give a damn if
- 39:44Speaker 2: there's 20 people voting who shouldn't vote. They shouldn't be voting.
- 39:47Speaker 2: And there's an easy way to stop it. And like here,
- 39:50Speaker 2: when you go here in Ohio, you've got to give
- 39:52Speaker 2: your ID to vote. That should be permanent. It should
- 39:55Speaker 2: never change.
- 39:57Speaker 6: Never.
- 39:57Speaker 10: Oh, Drew, Ron, it was so unfair. I mean, I
- 39:59Speaker 10: actually had to pull my driver's license out and hand
- 40:01Speaker 10: it to the lady. That's what it came down to.
- 40:03Speaker 10: These people are objecting to that?
- 40:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, well, stand by.
- 40:07Speaker 10: It's harder to buy a bottle of booze.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Stand by.
- 40:09Speaker 6: At least there they ask for your birthday.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Stand by, Rich. Back with him and more calls.
- 40:17Speaker 13: This is a fraud alert.
- 40:18Speaker 3: A half-priced wine all day long. Great food, amazing value.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Cheers to Monday. For 50 years, Sharon Brown voted.
- 40:26Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 40:29Speaker 2: All right, back to it. NewsRadio 570 WKBN. So isn't
- 40:33Speaker 2: it interesting, though? So obviously you voted for I.D. to
- 40:38Speaker 2: put that, to keep that. And obviously you voted against
- 40:41Speaker 2: this election. MRDD levy.
- 40:44Speaker 10: The MCBDD levy, everybody out there, vote against it. They
- 40:50Speaker 10: are wasting enormous amounts of your money. I've done the
- 40:53Speaker 10: public records request. I've looked into it. I like to
- 40:57Speaker 10: do those types of things. And I can tell you
- 40:59Speaker 10: right now, this place is not efficiently run. And I
- 41:03Speaker 10: was told by somebody who's very involved in Mahoning County
- 41:06Speaker 10: politics that the board that is in charge of MCBDD
- 41:10Speaker 10: knows they can count on the dummies in Mahoning County
- 41:14Speaker 10: continuing to just write checks to them so they don't
- 41:17Speaker 10: have to be accountable. They know we're a bunch of suckers.
- 41:20Speaker 10: We feel sorry for people because they cater to a
- 41:23Speaker 10: very needy group of individuals that all of us have
- 41:27Speaker 10: sympathy for, and we should. But that doesn't mean you
- 41:30Speaker 10: continue to write them blank checks when they're wasting the
- 41:33Speaker 10: money that you're giving them. The salaries they offer, the
- 41:36Speaker 10: benefits they offer, They have a health care plan that
- 41:40Speaker 10: everybody in this listening audience would love to have. But
- 41:43Speaker 10: unless you go to work for your local government, you
- 41:47Speaker 10: don't get this type of health care plan. You don't
- 41:49Speaker 10: get what teachers and county employees and things like that get.
- 41:53Speaker 10: You don't get a plan that after you pay a
- 41:55Speaker 10: $ 350 or $ 400 deductible is a 90-10 plan. You pay 10%
- 41:56Speaker 10: and the plan picks up 90%. Most people are 70-30, 60-40.
- 41:58Speaker 10: If you're lucky, you're 80-20. It's ridiculous. And like I said,
- 42:11Speaker 10: until you get rid of the property tax and blow
- 42:13Speaker 10: that up, until you start withholding the checkbook, until you
- 42:17Speaker 10: quit giving people free reign on your pocketbook, nothing will
- 42:22Speaker 10: ever change. These people are hogs of the trough, and
- 42:25Speaker 10: they will continue to just gobble up all the dollars
- 42:27Speaker 10: you throw at them as fast as they can. So
- 42:31Speaker 10: vote no. That's the best advice I can give anybody
- 42:33Speaker 10: out there.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I would agree.
- 42:37Speaker 2: It's a huge levy. I mean, it's a huge levy.
- 42:41Speaker 2: They can't even get cockroaches out of this school. How
- 42:44Speaker 2: good are they at managing?
- 42:45Speaker 10: How can you have a cockroach infestation that goes from
- 42:47Speaker 10: December of last year and is still in effect? And
- 42:50Speaker 10: you have two pest invoices in that time period that
- 42:52Speaker 10: you released during the FOIA request? I mean, it's ridiculous.
- 42:57Speaker 10: I don't know Mr.
- 42:58Speaker 6: Whitaker.
- 42:58Speaker 10: He's probably a nice guy, but I don't think he's
- 43:00Speaker 10: doing a very good job running that place because... The
- 43:03Speaker 10: inmates are running the asylum, it seems like.
- 43:06Speaker 2: I understand the boss lady's on top of this, too,
- 43:08Speaker 2: so maybe she'll call in and talk about it, too.
- 43:10Speaker 6: Oh, I can hardly wait. She's sharp.
- 43:14Speaker 10: I will tell you one thing about her, because I've
- 43:16Speaker 10: sent her some stuff recently. She's a very intelligent woman
- 43:20Speaker 10: who is very good at what she does.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Yes, and you, too, are also a very intelligent woman.
- 43:26Speaker 2: It's good at what you do.
- 43:29Speaker 10: Hey, you outed me. You're not supposed to do that.
- 43:31Speaker 8: Thanks.
- 43:31Speaker 3: See you later.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Take care, Ron.

- 43:53Speaker 2: I'm Lisa Brady, Fox News.
- 43:54Speaker 15: He's reacting to the New York Times report about a
- 43:57Speaker 15: suspected plot to recruit a spoiler in the Alaska Senate race,
- 44:01Speaker 15: where Republican Dan Sullivan is seeking reelection against Democrat Mary
- 44:04Speaker 15: Peltola and others, including another Dan Sullivan.
- 44:08Speaker 16: According to this report, this effort was internally referred to
- 44:11Speaker 16: as the ballot composition project, and it included the Paltola
- 44:14Speaker 16: campaign's lawyers, senior aides at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee,
- 44:18Speaker 16: and a Democratic operative named Jared Kurtz, who, quote, traversed
- 44:22Speaker 16: the state using a fake name to pitch would-be candidates
- 44:25Speaker 16: over beers. Together, they sought to recruit multiple spoiler candidates
- 44:29Speaker 16: to dilute support for Senator Sullivan and consolidate support for Paltola.
- 44:34Speaker 15: Fox's Jackie Heinrich at the White House. The Peltola campaign
- 44:37Speaker 15: denies involvement. So does the campaign arm for Senate Democrats.
- 44:41Speaker 15: President Trump now accuses Democrats of committing perjury during a
- 44:44Speaker 15: recent court fight over the alternate Sullivan. In California, the
- 44:48Speaker 15: federal judge is expected to rule today on the Trump
- 44:51Speaker 15: administration effort to temporarily set aside 20,000 ballots over questions
- 44:56Speaker 15: about citizenship. State and county attorneys have argued the government
- 44:59Speaker 15: is using unverified data to that could disenfranchise legitimate voters.
- 45:04Speaker 15: The federal judge set to hear the criminal case against
- 45:07Speaker 15: ousted Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro has died.
- 45:10Speaker 17: Alvin Hellerstein was 92.
- 45:11Speaker 15: Court officials in New York say he died of natural causes.
- 45:15Speaker 18: He was appointed to the federal bench by President Bill
- 45:17Speaker 18: Clinton in 1998, eventually rising to senior judge. In recent years,
- 45:22Speaker 18: he's handled cases involving Harvey Weinstein, former Trump fixer Michael Cohen,
- 45:27Speaker 18: and President Trump himself.
- 45:29Speaker 2: After the U.S.
- 45:30Speaker 18: Raid that detained Nicolas Maduro, Hellerstein presided over initial appearances.
- 45:35Speaker 18: The Southern District will assign a new judge to the case.

- 47:40Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 47:46Speaker 3: What a glorious day it is out there today, isn't it,
- 47:48Speaker 3: boys and girls?
- 47:49Speaker 2: It's Wednesday, October 28th, 2026, in case you forgot what
- 47:54Speaker 2: year it is. 74 degrees, the sun is shining. It's
- 47:57Speaker 2: a beautiful day here in the kingdom of Mahoning, where
- 47:59Speaker 2: we broadcast from. On News Radio 570, Dodie Kivian, and
- 48:04Speaker 2: you're on the air.
- 48:04Speaker 9: Prayerfully, we'll be saying it's a glorious Wednesday next week
- 48:10Speaker 9: at this time. Well, hopefully. And I just.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Come on, get yourself together. Pull it together.
- 48:22Speaker 9: When you have people who continue... Continue, after everything we know,
- 48:28Speaker 9: continue to say that they're for gender-affirming care. It's a
- 48:36Speaker 9: non-starter for me. I want to have a conversation. I
- 48:39Speaker 9: want to talk about the issues. I want to debate
- 48:41Speaker 9: the issues. You can't debate that you can't change from
- 48:45Speaker 9: a boy to a girl or vice versa. That's not
- 48:48Speaker 9: a thing. It doesn't happen. What are we still doing?
- 48:55Speaker 9: And I appreciate you having the people on because, what's
- 49:00Speaker 9: his name, from Columbiana County, did a great job, and
- 49:05Speaker 9: Senator Husted did a great job. He sounded a lot
- 49:09Speaker 9: better than we thought he was doing, you know? And
- 49:17Speaker 9: no offense to Mr.
- 49:18Speaker 10: Johnson, but.
- 49:21Speaker 9: The governor can go be a humanitarian on his own
- 49:26Speaker 9: dime with his own resources and not be handing out
- 49:31Speaker 9: stuff and, you know, elected him to do that. It's
- 49:37Speaker 9: just silly. We have great things going on. Is there
- 49:41Speaker 9: not so good things going on? Yeah. But that's mostly
- 49:44Speaker 9: the Democrats. On your station, you get a new commercial
- 49:49Speaker 9: for Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, which means they're reminding everybody, hey,
- 49:55Speaker 9: we need airplane mechanics. Please go to this school because
- 50:01Speaker 9: everybody needs airplane mechanics. We're severely short. It's ridiculous. What's
- 50:07Speaker 9: the other recruiting stuff on the radio? During the Steeler
- 50:13Speaker 9: game was the U.S. Steel commercial. We need over 1,000
- 50:18Speaker 9: new employees at U.S.
- 50:20Speaker 10: Steel.
- 50:20Speaker 9: Can you imagine in your lifetime that an American steel
- 50:25Speaker 9: mill is advertising on the radio for people to come
- 50:29Speaker 9: there and get a job?
- 50:31Speaker 6: It's absurd. ODOT.
- 50:34Speaker 9: PennDOT, whether it's their signs along the road. You guys
- 50:39Speaker 9: had the commercial for ODOT. I think it might have
- 50:41Speaker 9: been during the Guardians game. These are jobs you paid for.
- 50:45Speaker 9: These are jobs your swindling uncle got you into back
- 50:48Speaker 9: in the day. And now they're paying to have an
- 50:52Speaker 9: advertisement on the television or the radio to come there
- 50:55Speaker 9: and work. Does that not tell you anything? It tells
- 51:01Speaker 9: me a lot. America is ready to go. We need
- 51:05Speaker 9: the Americans to go forward with it, whether it's pulling
- 51:08Speaker 9: the lever, pulling the correct lever when they go to vote,
- 51:11Speaker 9: or going and getting their lazy out-of-work kid a job,
- 51:16Speaker 9: a real job. ODOT, PennDOT, U.S. Steel, they're asking you
- 51:21Speaker 9: to come there. So if you can't read the writing
- 51:25Speaker 9: on the wall, you know, I guess we'll be in
- 51:27Speaker 9: that position. Like you said, beautiful day today. Next Wednesday,
- 51:33Speaker 9: I pray that we're saying the same thing.
- 51:37Speaker 5: Amen.
- 51:38Speaker 6: Thank you, Jake.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Appreciate it.
- 51:39Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 51:41Speaker 13: I think this might be the last election cycle that
- 51:44Speaker 13: we have these, you know, octogenarians or anything running. I mean,
- 51:47Speaker 13: I think Sherrod Brown, I think he's 75, right? I mean,
- 51:51Speaker 13: Don't you think it's time to hang it up and
- 51:53Speaker 13: go do something else? I don't know of anybody else.
- 51:55Speaker 13: Are there any 80-year-olds running anywhere throughout the country? I mean, seven-year-olds.
- 52:00Speaker 13: Don't you think it's time to just let the next
- 52:02Speaker 13: generation run the country, run the state, run the Senate?
- 52:05Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 9: You name it.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Well, I just was looking at it here. Let's see.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Just received word on the above matter. Biggest public works
- 52:18Speaker 2: project in decades in the town of Salem. John Huston
- 52:22Speaker 2: made it happen. Senator John Huston announces $ 21 million railroad
- 52:26Speaker 2: overpass approved for Salem with 20% match by Ohio. The
- 52:31Speaker 2: proposed project was selected for project development's final design. So
- 52:37Speaker 2: how about that? One of the biggest public works project
- 52:40Speaker 2: is going to be in Salem. Okay.
- 52:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Thanks, John Huston. I mean, not Sherrod Brown. John Huston.
- 52:49Speaker 13: Yeah, I mean, I caught part of him talking with you.
- 52:52Speaker 6: He's right.
- 52:53Speaker 13: I mean, Officer Brown, he's just saying what he's going
- 52:56Speaker 13: to do the next time he gets in. He's not
- 53:00Speaker 13: telling any of his accomplishments, 50 years and nothing. And
- 53:03Speaker 13: the issue is he can't go back in. You can't
- 53:05Speaker 13: let this guy win again because he goes back to
- 53:08Speaker 13: the Senate with all of his seniority, too. It's not
- 53:11Speaker 13: like he's a new member of the Senate. He goes
- 53:13Speaker 13: back in with a lot of rank. So all the
- 53:17Speaker 13: crazy leftist things he used to do, he'll be able
- 53:19Speaker 13: to do it with a lot more gusto when he
- 53:21Speaker 13: goes back again, if he goes back again. Weather's looking
- 53:25Speaker 13: good for Tuesday next week. I'm hoping that's good for
- 53:27Speaker 13: the Republicans and turnout, at least in Ohio.
- 53:30Speaker 2: But I would ask you this. I mean, you're a
- 53:33Speaker 2: smart guy. And I just want to bounce it off
- 53:36Speaker 2: of you and get your reaction. And I want to
- 53:39Speaker 2: just go through this with you.
- 53:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Now, just from a local standpoint. I don't think there's
- 53:44Speaker 2: a better auditor than Ralph Meacham. In my time here
- 53:48Speaker 2: in this community, I don't think you'll find a better
- 53:50Speaker 2: guy doing a better job than him.
- 53:52Speaker 3: Would you agree with that? I mean, he's just.
- 53:54Speaker 23: I tell you what, he has.
- 53:56Speaker 13: It's very fair. You know, with all the property tax increases,
- 53:59Speaker 13: I will say, it's all been very fair. And I
- 54:01Speaker 13: just watched that interview with him the other day about
- 54:04Speaker 13: the Mahoney County employees, you know, taking their vacation, not reporting,
- 54:08Speaker 13: and then getting their payout because they're not taking their vacations.
- 54:12Speaker 13: The interview with him, you just look at the guy.
- 54:14Speaker 13: You can tell he's straightforward.
- 54:15Speaker 6: They ask him a question, well, how.
- 54:16Speaker 13: Much money do you think has been stolen? And he
- 54:18Speaker 13: could say, you know, I don't know. I have no clue.
- 54:22Speaker 13: I can't even figure it out. It's that bad. He's straightforward,
- 54:26Speaker 13: but at least he's out front with it.
- 54:27Speaker 2: And he's a CPA. I mean, he was never a politician.
- 54:31Speaker 2: He took this job or ran for this job as
- 54:33Speaker 2: a CPA because he knew he could do a good
- 54:35Speaker 2: job and didn't play politics in the office. I mean,
- 54:38Speaker 2: he's just impressive with the job he does. So as
- 54:44Speaker 2: I go through this kind of stuff, I mean, is
- 54:46Speaker 2: there even a contest between Amy Acton And if I fake,
- 54:51Speaker 2: I want to make sure I get it straight, because,
- 54:53Speaker 2: I mean, isn't he just a better, better suited to
- 54:56Speaker 2: be governor of Ohio as opposed to. I mean, where
- 55:01Speaker 2: is her medical practice over the years? Where was she
- 55:03Speaker 2: seeing patients? I mean, it's the whole thing is strange.
- 55:07Speaker 9: I mean.
- 55:08Speaker 13: Well, she's running the, you know, run out the clock campaign,
- 55:13Speaker 13: you know, just hide and just hope the voters aren't
- 55:15Speaker 13: smart enough. And that's just what Joe Biden did. That's
- 55:18Speaker 13: what she's trying to do. And the way it looks
- 55:20Speaker 13: right now from the polls, which I don't know if
- 55:22Speaker 13: you can trust, you know, it's looking like it might
- 55:24Speaker 13: work out for it just like it worked out for
- 55:25Speaker 13: Joe Biden in 2020.
- 55:27Speaker 2: But who would be the governor then? I mean, she
- 55:31Speaker 2: doesn't know what she's doing. This is a $ 50 billion
- 55:34Speaker 2: business here. And, you know, Vivek has know-how in doing
- 55:39Speaker 2: that kind of stuff.
- 55:39Speaker 10: I mean, it's... Does Amy Acton have kids?
- 55:43Speaker 2: The choice is, yes. The choice is so dramatically different between...
- 55:49Speaker 2: The two of them, as far as just knowledge.
- 55:53Speaker 13: Oh, it just goes to prove she won't debate him. Personally, myself,
- 55:58Speaker 13: I wouldn't debate Vivek either.
- 56:01Speaker 5: Have you heard him speak?
- 56:02Speaker 13: I mean, it would be a bloodbath, and she knows it.
- 56:05Speaker 13: It's actually pretty smart that she doesn't, because that might
- 56:07Speaker 13: actually be the tipping point. But, you know, heads she wins,
- 56:11Speaker 13: tails you lose. Just like with this whole ad thing,
- 56:14Speaker 13: you can say it was in bad taste, whatever.
- 56:16Speaker 6: It doesn't matter.
- 56:17Speaker 13: She doesn't actually get to the point that her mother...
- 56:20Speaker 13: says that she's a liar, she gets to the point where,
- 56:22Speaker 13: how dare my opponent stoop so low?
- 56:25Speaker 7: And you know what?
- 56:25Speaker 13: There's people that listen to that and say, oh my
- 56:27Speaker 13: goodness gracious, she's so right. They don't even realize the
- 56:30Speaker 13: whole underlying factor of what's going on in that ad.
- 56:34Speaker 13: Or they hide their rally. You know what I mean?
- 56:37Speaker 2: I mean, if you really think about it, think about it.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Your mother is saying that you're a liar. I mean, that's.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Pretty powerful. I mean, what are we to say?
- 56:51Speaker 2: No, she's not.
- 56:53Speaker 13: I don't see Vivek with it, you know, like holding
- 56:56Speaker 13: her at gunpoint behind.
- 56:57Speaker 6: You better say that.
- 56:58Speaker 13: I don't see any of that. So this lady did
- 57:01Speaker 13: it on her own free will. Take with it what
- 57:04Speaker 13: you want. I think it's all going to come down
- 57:06Speaker 13: to just voter turnout. I think the weather looks nice
- 57:09Speaker 13: for Tuesday. Republicans go out and vote on Election Day.
- 57:11Speaker 13: That's pretty good for that. The only thing I'm worried
- 57:14Speaker 13: about still is There's just, from a national standpoint, this
- 57:17Speaker 13: is a long time before Election Day still. And have
- 57:20Speaker 13: you been following much of the news lately with this
- 57:23Speaker 13: Black October? Have you read anything about it, heard anything
- 57:26Speaker 13: about it?
- 57:26Speaker 4: No.
- 57:26Speaker 13: All the cyber attacks that have been going on. Just
- 57:29Speaker 13: look up Black October, what's been going on with these
- 57:32Speaker 13: cyber attacks. I've still always been worried about the Iranians.
- 57:37Speaker 13: They've been getting their butts whooped. I don't care what
- 57:39Speaker 13: you think about the war, good, bad, indifferent. And, you know,
- 57:42Speaker 13: it's just like Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine, they stuck around,
- 57:45Speaker 13: you know, hung around for a while. Then they started,
- 57:47Speaker 13: you know, attacking, you know, Russia.
- 57:49Speaker 10: I'm starting to.
- 57:50Speaker 13: Get a little cautious about the Iranians doing something cyber-related
- 57:54Speaker 13: right before the election or anything like that these next
- 57:57Speaker 13: few days. And this whole Black October is really, really weird.
- 58:01Speaker 13: A lot of people out with what you could do
- 58:03Speaker 13: with AI now for like 50 bucks, attack a whole
- 58:06Speaker 13: entire network. There was a grocery chain or grocery chains
- 58:10Speaker 13: in France, even. They attacked their coolers through this AI
- 58:15Speaker 13: bug that they put in. 300-and-some grocery stores, all the
- 58:19Speaker 13: food ruined because they hacked a grocery store. And the
- 58:23Speaker 13: thing is, you don't need to put much effort into
- 58:25Speaker 13: it now. You have a bunch of AI bots, and
- 58:27Speaker 13: if you're a nefarious, you know, evil person, you can
- 58:30Speaker 13: do this pretty cheap. I can't even imagine what could
- 58:33Speaker 13: go on in our country with the water... the sanitary,
- 58:37Speaker 13: the electric, all of those things that.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Where'd you go? All right, wait a second.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Are you there?
- 58:52Speaker 3: We just went ahead. Hang on a second here, folks.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Are you there?
- 58:56Speaker 6: Hello, you there? Yeah.
- 58:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Hang on a second. Just hang on a second because
- 59:01Speaker 2: I think I'm just trying to assess my phone situation.
- 59:04Speaker 3: Hang on one second. I'll be right with you.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Alec, I don't know how we lost our connection with you.
- 59:10Speaker 2: but we lost several connections. Sometimes we have– Alec, call
- 59:15Speaker 2: me back. Alec, call me back. All right.
- 59:17Speaker 3: I don't know what happened there. All right, go ahead, caller.
- 59:20Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 59:22Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 59:23Speaker 7: Hi, Ron.
- 59:23Speaker 6: How are you doing?
- 59:24Speaker 5: Good, good.
- 59:25Speaker 6: Good. The reason why I'm calling is, again, you brought
- 59:28Speaker 6: up a situation at Leonard Kurtz School. Yes. Okay. That
- 59:35Speaker 6: has been going on there for about a year and
- 59:38Speaker 6: a half at least. That's how long that's been going on.
- 59:42Speaker 6: The truth of this is basically was in contact with
- 59:49Speaker 6: Gino DeFabio. Let him know about it. These good buddies
- 59:54Speaker 6: with Whitaker up at the Leonard Kurtz School were supposed
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: to get back with me on that situation and never
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: responded back. And that's been going on there for quite
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: a long time.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: Okay, you're confusing me.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: So I read this letter that was sent to me
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: about cockroaches at Leonard Kurtz School. Okay, now talk to me.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: So you're saying to me this has been going on
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: for a long time, correct?
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: Yeah. It's been going on longer than what they're saying
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: as December.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: So what's this got to do with Geno, the commissioner?
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: I was the one who called Geno. Oh, you called him?
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: I'm the one who called him and let him know
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: about the situation, about the roaches, which he said he
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: didn't know. He said he will find out because he's
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: good buddies with Whitaker. Then he said, I'll get back.
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: I'll let you know. I never heard nothing back from
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: him at all.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: And when was this?
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: I would say this would go back to, like, September, August.
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: I would say August. All right.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: So you're talking, let's just say September, roughly two months.
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: Yeah. It's been two months. I was hoping to get
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: a phone call from him. He said, yeah, you know.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: I talked to Whitaker and this and that. At least
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: let me know something. Never got back to me on that.
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: And this has been going on up there for quite
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: a while.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: I mean, you know, this place has a ton of money.
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: Oh, they have a lot of money.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: I mean, and they're asking for a bunch more money.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I mean, if you vote for this levy, folks, you
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: need your head examined. I tell you this all the time, folks,
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: and I'm dead serious with you. Just bear with me, caller.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: I want to reiterate this, and I'm serious with each
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: and every one of you. The property tax that you're
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: paying for the library system, they have more money than
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: they know what to do with. And this woman that
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: runs this library system has surrounded herself with a bunch
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: of PR people at big salaries and benefits to protect
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: her and her fiefdom. Not maintenance guys to maintain these facilities.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: I mean, the arrogance of the library is unbelievable. But
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: they get all these tax dollars, and it's ridiculous how
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: much of your money they get that they piss away.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: WRTA gets a sales tax, a quarter percent sales tax
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: every year. That generates $ 9, $ 10, $ 11, $ 12, $ 13 million
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: based on the economy. But it generates a hell of
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: a lot of money. W.R.T.A. 's biggest problem is figuring
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: out how to spend all this money every year. They
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: have so much money coming in every year. They got
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: to figure out how do we spend 10 or 12
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: million dollars. This is your money.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Damn it.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: I sit here and I don't give a damn if
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: you're a Republican or Democrat. I'm telling you as a citizen,
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: this is wrong. And this whole MRDD thing is ridiculous,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: the amount of tax money they want to put forth,
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: the amount they want to tax you because they're going after, oh,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: you know, what do they got, 1,000 people or less?
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: I don't even know.
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: I've got to wait until he's done.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: I know you've got to wait until I'm done.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: You heard me, right?
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I heard you.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: So, I mean, it's just ridiculous the amount of money
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: that they're asking for. And now you've got this facility
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: where this woman is saying that– I think it's a
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: woman that's saying– okay, you got cockroaches down at this place. Well,
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: why wasn't it getting sprayed? What the hell is going
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: on here? What kind of management is this from these
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: people that are making a huge salary?
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: Well, here's the thing. They want these levees like them
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: and all these other levees that they want to try
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: and basically, if you look at your people in this area,
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: your people are very gullible. And they pass things like
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: this out of, you know, feeling sorry, you know, that
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: don't feel sorry thing.
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: And they get away with this. And these guys who
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: are running this, it's basically an institution that these salaries
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: are going to be increased dramatically.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: Of course.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: And they're already huge.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: This is craziness.
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: Right. So did you happen to watch the, that Acton
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: and Brown, they showed them on the news last night.
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: Especially that actor on the news.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: I would rather walk on hot coals or sleep on
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: a bed of nails and watch that. Why?
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: Well, I just had a ball. The one thing that
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: really shocked me was when they did that.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: Stand by. Stand by. I'll come right back to you. Alex,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: stand by. I'm going to get back to you after him.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Stay tuned. Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning, 425,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: 73 degrees. It's eye-opening, my friend, eye-opening.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: Right, right it is. You know, just by watching her,
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: watching them, 15 seconds, just watching 15 seconds of that acting,
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: of how she, I could see why she had people
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: talking for her and wouldn't debate. Now I got my
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: reasons why. She can't, she would not, really proceed in
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: the race to what she's trying to accomplish here, because
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: I don't think the knowledge of running a state institution
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: that we have here, she'll be able to handle. Because
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: she couldn't remember. She already quit on us once. You
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: don't want to put somebody in who's going to quit
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: on you the second time, and that's going to happen,
- 1:05:38Speaker 6: because she won't be able to handle this. The people
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: are going to be stuck with her, and we'll be
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: paying consequences for the years that she's in there. I
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: agree with Sherrod Brown. Same thing.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: I agree with that. Thank you for your call. Appreciate it.
- 1:05:51Speaker 22: Yep.
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: Thank you. Bye. Bye.
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: Where's Alec?
- 1:05:57Speaker 13: Yeah, I think this happened last time. I kind of
- 1:05:59Speaker 13: like being on and then a little break and then
- 1:06:01Speaker 13: coming back again.
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: I'm getting used to this.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Okay, so give me just your assessment. I think locally
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: the Republicans got a lot of good candidates, don't you?
- 1:06:13Speaker 13: I think so. You know, it's more of the, you know,
- 1:06:16Speaker 13: yes-no issues than anything else I'm, you know, mostly concerned with. And,
- 1:06:20Speaker 13: you know, just listening to you talk there, you know,
- 1:06:23Speaker 13: even what Rich has talked about ad nauseum, and he's
- 1:06:26Speaker 13: done a great job of getting all the information for it,
- 1:06:29Speaker 13: you know, for this, you know, what the issue for.
- 1:06:31Speaker 13: You know, nobody has a yard sign in their front
- 1:06:34Speaker 13: yard that says, vote no against that. Nobody has a
- 1:06:37Speaker 13: yard sign in there, you know, vote no against your library.
- 1:06:40Speaker 13: You know, nobody has vote no against WRTA. I think
- 1:06:43Speaker 13: that's part of the problem. There's no actual group on
- 1:06:46Speaker 13: the other side explaining why this is why you shouldn't
- 1:06:49Speaker 13: do it. There's tons of money that's going forward and
- 1:06:52Speaker 13: saying why you need to vote yes, why you need
- 1:06:53Speaker 13: to vote yes, until it just gets shoved down your throat.
- 1:06:56Speaker 13: But nobody really understands, unless you're listening to your show,
- 1:06:59Speaker 13: what the heck's even going on.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Okay, so you asked me about Black October. Okay, so
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: a guy sends me this. Glenn Beck breaks down the
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: newest tech term describing the last 10 days, which exposes
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: a major flaw in software that runs almost every website.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: What was the security flaw? A backdoor that allowed hackers
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: to use cheap AI tools to break in and steal
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: personal data from places like schools and doctor's offices. Yeah.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Glenn breaks down how serious this is with a digital
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: DEFCON alert posture. Is that what you're talking about?
- 1:07:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:07:47Speaker 13: I mean, it's a real threat right now in a
- 1:07:50Speaker 13: lot of places. You know, they're just kind of shutting
- 1:07:52Speaker 13: down their systems to avoid, you know, the threat becoming
- 1:07:55Speaker 13: any larger.
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: It's a threat.
- 1:07:58Speaker 13: You just haven't heard much about it yet because the
- 1:08:00Speaker 13: attack hasn't gotten to the point where, you know, people
- 1:08:02Speaker 13: aren't losing, you know, their bank accounts, anything like that.
- 1:08:05Speaker 13: You know, companies are starting to get on board with it.
- 1:08:08Speaker 13: But the whole premise of it is it's really cheap
- 1:08:10Speaker 13: to do it now. So the attacks are going to
- 1:08:12Speaker 13: be coming more frequently and a wider net that is
- 1:08:17Speaker 13: being casted just now. hackers, they're just going to see
- 1:08:20Speaker 13: what they can get wherever. I don't know if they
- 1:08:22Speaker 13: really wanted to go after the grocery stores in France
- 1:08:25Speaker 13: and ruin 300 grocery stores, you know, frozen food section,
- 1:08:29Speaker 13: but they just found a vulnerability there and they exploited it.
- 1:08:33Speaker 13: So if you can cast such a wide net, these
- 1:08:37Speaker 13: things are probably going to happen more and more. And
- 1:08:39Speaker 13: imagine if you're a nation state like Iran who's being
- 1:08:42Speaker 13: attacked and you have no kinetic way of fighting back
- 1:08:46Speaker 13: against the United States. What's the only thing you can do?
- 1:08:48Speaker 13: You know, an asymmetric warfare with cyber. You know, do
- 1:08:52Speaker 13: you just get some AI agents?
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: Do you get bots?
- 1:08:54Speaker 13: If people are doing it out there from the computers
- 1:08:56Speaker 13: in their basement, I'm sure the Iranian regime has some capacity.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: To do it as well.
- 1:09:01Speaker 13: And it's just like with drone warfare. You can have
- 1:09:03Speaker 13: all the anti-missiles out there to knock them down, but
- 1:09:06Speaker 13: if you're spending $ 10 million to knock down a $ 20, 000 drone,
- 1:09:10Speaker 13: eventually one of those is going to sneak through. Is
- 1:09:12Speaker 13: that the same thing that's going to go on with
- 1:09:13Speaker 13: our cybersecurity in our country? What happens when it hits
- 1:09:17Speaker 13: a major bank or just like you said, the.
- 1:09:18Speaker 10: School, the hospital?
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Well, now I've got another one here. So you're familiar
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: with this, or you've heard about this Black October? This
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: is the first time I'm hearing about this type of thing.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: And listen, I'm just off the top. Let's see. Governments
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: are telling citizens to stockpile for emergency. All right, so
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: some guy sent me this. Taiwan, seven days. Switzerland, one week. Denmark,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: three days. All right, hang on. Can you hang on?
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: Sure.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: He might know more about this than any of us.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: Back in a minute, NewsRadio 570 WKVN. NewsRadio 570 WKVN.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Wendy's has received a buyout offer.
- 1:10:04Speaker 24: The company has its headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, and they
- 1:10:07Speaker 24: have been reportedly struggling with high beef prices in aging
- 1:10:11Speaker 24: stores as of late. In response, Nelson Peltz has made
- 1:10:15Speaker 24: an offer of $ 7.
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: 35 per share in cash.
- 1:10:19Speaker 24: Or a premium of nearly 19% over the stock's closing
- 1:10:23Speaker 24: price from yesterday. The restaurant chain saw its shares jump
- 1:10:27Speaker 24: by 15% at the opening bell this morning after the
- 1:10:30Speaker 24: offer was made. Meantime, construction is getting underway on a
- 1:10:34Speaker 24: new training center for the future National Women's Soccer League
- 1:10:37Speaker 24: team in Columbus. A groundbreaking ceremony for the facility was
- 1:10:41Speaker 24: held at McCoy Park yesterday. The team is expected to
- 1:10:44Speaker 24: begin playing in the spring of 2028.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: I'm Daniel Barnard.
- 1:10:49Speaker 14: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 1:10:52Speaker 14: and sports radio.
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: Podcasts, too.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Download the app. Free never sounded so good. A to
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and one-day baths.
- 1:11:03Speaker 21: Heavy traffic continues on one.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: All right, NewsRadio 570, WKBN. And this is interesting.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: I never heard about Black October.
- 1:11:23Speaker 13: Well, it happened, you know, what, a week ago, something
- 1:11:26Speaker 13: like that, because all of these places got hit all
- 1:11:29Speaker 13: at the same time. I think it was CloudFair, one
- 1:11:31Speaker 13: of the big cybersecurity companies. This is like the worst
- 1:11:34Speaker 13: attack vector, just the number of attacks at one. is
- 1:11:38Speaker 13: the worst of all time. You haven't seen that one
- 1:11:42Speaker 13: headline-breaking attack, but it's the sheer number of them. That's
- 1:11:47Speaker 13: the problem.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: So what are they worried about that it's going to affect?
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: Like they sent me this, Christopher Wray, here in the
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: United States, our most immediate concern is the violent extremists.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Individuals or small groups will draw inspiration from the events
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: in the Middle East. to carry out attacks against Americans
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: going about their daily lives. That includes not just homegrown
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: violent extremists inspired by foreign terrorist organizations, but also domestic
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: violent extremists targeting Jewish or Muslim communities. We've seen that
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: already with individuals we arrested last week in Houston who
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: had been studying how to build bombs and posted online
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: about his support for killing Jews. And with that tragic
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: killing of a six-year-old Muslim boy in Illinois, And what
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: we're investigating is a federal hate crime. That was from
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Christopher Wray. That was back in 2023. So that's kind
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: of outdated. The guy sent me that. I don't know.
- 1:12:42Speaker 13: I mean, it's just interesting to see. There's a lot
- 1:12:45Speaker 13: going on in the next couple of days.
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: And then look at it.
- 1:12:48Speaker 13: The day after, the 2028 presidential election starts.
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 1:12:52Speaker 13: It's just one thing after another. We all got to
- 1:12:54Speaker 13: keep up on the news and see what's going on
- 1:12:56Speaker 13: and still live our lives. It's just really interesting how
- 1:12:59Speaker 13: fast things go and how much faster things are going
- 1:13:01Speaker 13: now in the modern age we live in with all
- 1:13:03Speaker 13: this AI and, of course, technology. You know, news travels fast.
- 1:13:06Speaker 13: If it bleeds, it leads. And then we miss the
- 1:13:10Speaker 13: small things that happen in our community, which are hopefully
- 1:13:13Speaker 13: the good things moving forward. We always focus on all
- 1:13:15Speaker 13: the bad. It's just, of course, the bad ones are
- 1:13:17Speaker 13: the ones that always get our attention.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: Are you voting for Amy Acton or Sherrod Brown?
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: It was about hot coals, walking over hot coals. You know.
- 1:13:30Speaker 13: Nothing to be excited for them on and in any
- 1:13:32Speaker 13: part and I won't be voting for them I hope
- 1:13:34Speaker 13: everybody goes and votes the latter I think Vivek would
- 1:13:37Speaker 13: actually do a very good.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: Job as governor actually I do too are you going
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: to be basically you're going to do a Ted the
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: C vote for the most part you're going to vote
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: the Ted the C vote Ted the conservative.
- 1:13:51Speaker 13: Vote yeah I think I'll vote no and R about
- 1:13:56Speaker 13: the whole way down.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: God love you.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: All right. Sorry, there he is, the one and only Alec.
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: You're on the air.
- 1:14:05Speaker 9: Oh, I was hoping Alec would hang on. I had
- 1:14:08Speaker 9: something to throw out about him about the currency and Bitcoin.
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: Really?
- 1:14:13Speaker 13: But, yeah, do you want me to throw it out?
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: Maybe he's listening. Oh, absolutely. I'd be fascinated by what
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: you'd have to say about all of that. Throw it out, please.
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: Hello.
- 1:14:24Speaker 23: Hey, how are you doing? That's pretty good, Ron. You
- 1:14:27Speaker 23: told him to throw it out, then you hung up
- 1:14:28Speaker 23: on him.
- 1:14:28Speaker 6: That's pretty classy.
- 1:14:31Speaker 23: I listened to John Husted. That was a pretty good interview.
- 1:14:35Speaker 23: I emailed you saying, hey, I was hoping you'd bring
- 1:14:41Speaker 23: on some callers, but you lost.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: Yes, I had plenty to say to him. I didn't
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: want to bring you on because I didn't want to
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: embarrass myself.
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: What?
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:14:55Speaker 23: First of all, you know I met that guy. Okay,
- 1:14:56Speaker 23: so anyhow, it's not that. The question I want.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:15:00Speaker 23: He had mentioned that because we don't have any heat
- 1:15:04Speaker 23: downtown for these buildings, he was going to try to
- 1:15:07Speaker 23: get this thing up, you know, the steam thing up
- 1:15:10Speaker 23: running again.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: Well, we better do something.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they better do something quick down there because you're,
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: thank God we're 73 degrees, but it's getting chilly at night.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: You got water pipes and all that kind of stuff.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: I think they got what? Don't they have one steam
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: thing down there that's working? And who knows?
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: What a mess. What an absolute mess.
- 1:15:30Speaker 23: You want to know what happened? This guy came up
- 1:15:33Speaker 23: from Columbus. He invested about $ 60 million to put some
- 1:15:36Speaker 23: stuff together. He tore up all the coal pipes. producing machines, okay,
- 1:15:44Speaker 23: you know, according to Obama. And then he was going
- 1:15:47Speaker 23: to go with pyrogasification, and he talked to the guy
- 1:15:52Speaker 23: from Louisville, the mayor. He was going to build a
- 1:15:54Speaker 23: plant there to shred tires. You remember all this.
- 1:15:57Speaker 6: And then he was.
- 1:15:58Speaker 23: Going to cook the tires and create steam and electricity
- 1:16:04Speaker 23: for downtown. It was a great plant. And Regedio chased
- 1:16:09Speaker 23: him out of town.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: Why would she do that?
- 1:16:14Speaker 23: Because every time I would bring business up here, not him,
- 1:16:19Speaker 23: but I mean in general in the past, they would
- 1:16:22Speaker 23: call me as they drive down 680 screaming at me,
- 1:16:27Speaker 23: what are you doing? These people are nuts. They want
- 1:16:31Speaker 23: us to pocket the money to do anything, you know, so,
- 1:16:35Speaker 23: you know, on the take. So, like I said, that's
- 1:16:38Speaker 23: when I stopped introducing businesses to young stuff. Anyhow, so, yeah,
- 1:16:43Speaker 23: she chased him out of here. You can do your
- 1:16:46Speaker 23: research on that and find out what happened. But he
- 1:16:48Speaker 23: had the plan. It would work fine. Everything would have
- 1:16:50Speaker 23: been great. But John Eustace mentioned at a seminar here
- 1:16:56Speaker 23: in Youngstown at the Covelli Center that he was going
- 1:16:59Speaker 23: to address that.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: Well, he did.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Well, he did deal with this train thing in Salem.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: So one day at a time.
- 1:17:08Speaker 23: No, that wasn't him. That was Vance that dealt with that.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: No, it just came out today.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: What?
- 1:17:18Speaker 23: What came out today?
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: Oh, Jesus, help me. You didn't hear it?
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: No.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Did you hear the interview that I just did with him?
- 1:17:28Speaker 23: Yes, I did.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Senator John Houston announces $ 21 million railroad overpass approved for
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Salem with 20% match by Ohio.
- 1:17:37Speaker 23: Oh, yeah, yeah. He talked about that down in Salem.
- 1:17:39Speaker 6: Yeah, okay.
- 1:17:40Speaker 23: Okay, I mean, that's... Yeah, but that had nothing to
- 1:17:42Speaker 23: do with the train derailment. That was Vance's thing.
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: He got on that right away.
- 1:17:48Speaker 23: I was down there with Vance.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: It's the biggest public works project in decades in the
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: little town of Salem.
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: All right, all right.
- 1:17:54Speaker 23: God bless Salem, okay?
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, God bless Salem.
- 1:17:58Speaker 23: What about Youngstown? What about it? I'm going on Truth
- 1:18:02Speaker 23: Social and asking Trump, throw some of those trillions over
- 1:18:07Speaker 23: here to Youngstown and get stuff going here, you know, so.
- 1:18:11Speaker 23: But anyhow, let me go back a couple things. Mike Waltz,
- 1:18:14Speaker 23: you know, our ambassador to the UN, I sent you
- 1:18:18Speaker 23: a video of him going at it with the Cubans.
- 1:18:23Speaker 6: Oh, it was great. Oh, it was great.
- 1:18:25Speaker 23: Trump was very proud of him. You know, and Rubio
- 1:18:29Speaker 23: as well. So that was a great debate he did, okay?
- 1:18:34Speaker 23: He was talking, they interrupted him, they were smacking their hands,
- 1:18:37Speaker 23: screaming and yelling, approaching the approaching the pulpit, and he
- 1:18:43Speaker 23: was screaming, get back.
- 1:18:45Speaker 6: Get back. This isn't Cuba.
- 1:18:46Speaker 23: This is the United States. I'm telling you the truth.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: I saw that. Yeah, that was good.
- 1:18:52Speaker 23: That was good, wasn't it?
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:18:54Speaker 23: And then what else? Trump announced some other money coming in.
- 1:18:59Speaker 23: And then, of course, you know, in other areas, you know, Mississippi, M-I-S-S-I-S-P-P-I,
- 1:19:09Speaker 23: And I thought to myself, what about Youngstown, you know?
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:19:14Speaker 23: What's going on in Youngstown? Do you know anything that's happening?
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: No, I'm out of the loop.
- 1:19:20Speaker 6: Oh, you are? Okay.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:19:21Speaker 8: Well, I'm glad.
- 1:19:23Speaker 23: The Spindicator endorsed that.
- 1:19:27Speaker 10: Oliver.
- 1:19:28Speaker 23: Now, I told you, that lady, when you get her
- 1:19:30Speaker 23: on the phone.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: Is there really much of a... I mean, if you're
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: a state rep and you don't show up and do
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: your job there, I mean, that alone should eliminate anybody. Yeah,
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: but I'm just saying she's... She didn't show up. Her
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: attendance record sucks. So why would you vote for somebody
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: like that who ran for a position and then didn't
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: really show up to do the job? I mean, come on.
- 1:19:55Speaker 6: Why?
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: Because she's a Democrat I'm going to vote for? That's stupid.
- 1:19:59Speaker 23: Yeah, but here, Christine Oliver, when you call her when
- 1:20:02Speaker 23: she's a commissioner, she'll answer you and explain things to you.
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: Remember I told you that? She'll do that.
- 1:20:08Speaker 23: She's not going to dodge you.
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: And then... This thing with the— Hurry up.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: You're starting to get on my nerves.
- 1:20:17Speaker 23: No, no. I'm talking about the other guy running for Senate.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: Sherrod Brown.
- 1:20:22Speaker 23: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's screaming foul over some Internet hacking.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: Okay, so— I really don't care.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: You're on air.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: Hi, Ron.
- 1:20:37Speaker 6: Yes. Yes.
- 1:20:39Speaker 7: Hi, I am the one that sent you that email
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: about Leonard Kurtz School.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: Oh, wait a second. Let me bring that up. You
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: sent me that email, yes.
- 1:20:48Speaker 7: Cockroaches.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: Tell me about this email.
- 1:20:53Speaker 7: Well, I just wanted to call in because I didn't
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: want there to be any kind of misinformation. There's so much.
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: I literally emailed you 79 documents. And the one gentleman
- 1:21:05Speaker 7: that right after you read my letter, I believe he
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: said there was only two invoices from December to, I
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: think he said October 2nd. That's not necessarily true. That's
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: not really true. It was two invoices from December of
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: 25 to the end of July of this year, which
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: is outrageous. And after I went through all, and it
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: took me forever to go through these documents because But
- 1:21:33Speaker 7: after I went through them, it looks like this CREGO, C-R-A-G-O,
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: pest control company that was supposed to be coming out,
- 1:21:44Speaker 7: they only gave the school two invoices on March 4th
- 1:21:48Speaker 7: and May 11th. And nobody ever questioned it. I mean,
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: you have a full-blown cockroach infestation, and you have the
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: health department. The health department closed down the kitchen on
- 1:22:00Speaker 7: May 21st. And that was the one thing that boss
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: lady got wrong in her Facebook post. She said that
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: the school was closed. The school was not closed. It
- 1:22:10Speaker 7: was just the kitchen. And of course, an employee had
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: to point that out to her like it mattered. So
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: I just didn't want there to be any misinformation because
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: anything that I sent you and anything that I put
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: on her post on Facebook is directly from the emails
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: that I received through a public records request.
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: So, and did you work there?
- 1:22:36Speaker 7: I did work there. I worked in the kitchen. Where
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: on May 21st, the Mahoney County Health Department came in
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: and said there was an abundance of German cockroaches in
- 1:22:46Speaker 7: the kitchen. So they voluntarily, whatever that means, they voluntarily
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: shut down the kitchen.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: On May 21st of 2026? 2026.
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: 2026.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: All right, so they shut it down.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: And you're basically asking, well, why didn't they deal with
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: this cockroach infestation with exterminators on a regular basis, correct?
- 1:23:10Speaker 8: Yes, well, correct.
- 1:23:12Speaker 7: And I have multiple emails saying that they were supposed
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: to be coming in every week. It started on, now
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: that gentleman called in and said it's been going on
- 1:23:19Speaker 7: for a year and a half. Listen, I don't dispute him.
- 1:23:21Speaker 7: I'm sure it's true. But I don't know what kind
- 1:23:23Speaker 7: of proof he has about that. I've got proof on
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: all my stuff. So on December 1st, the Mahoney County
- 1:23:30Speaker 7: Health Department came in to do a food inspection on
- 1:23:33Speaker 7: my kitchen. And they come in twice a year.
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: No, is this December 1st, 2025?
- 1:23:38Speaker 11: Yes.
- 1:23:38Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: Thank you. All right, go ahead.
- 1:23:43Speaker 7: And they came in typically in December and May. Okay.
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: And they would inspect the pool because we have a
- 1:23:49Speaker 7: swimming pool. And they would inspect the kitchen. And through
- 1:23:52Speaker 7: my public records request with the health department, They told me,
- 1:24:01Speaker 7: this is my understanding, that they only have to, like
- 1:24:05Speaker 7: it's regulated that they have to inspect the kitchen and
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: the pool because there's a license held.
- 1:24:10Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:24:11Speaker 7: So since the kitchen has a license, right. So, and it's,
- 1:24:16Speaker 7: like I said, it's too long for me to go
- 1:24:17Speaker 7: into this, but I have an email on this. I
- 1:24:20Speaker 7: guess when the health inspector came on December 1st of 2025,
- 1:24:24Speaker 7: she put her bag down on a table and a cautionary,
- 1:24:30Speaker 7: So she visually saw it, but it didn't make the
- 1:24:34Speaker 7: report because it didn't have to because it wasn't, like,
- 1:24:37Speaker 7: in the pool. That's my understanding of it.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: It wasn't in the swimming pool.
- 1:24:43Speaker 6: Right, exactly.
- 1:24:44Speaker 7: That's my understanding of it.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:24:46Speaker 7: So what happened was I have an email from the
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: principal notifying the superintendent, Bill Whitaker, that this happened.
- 1:24:56Speaker 20: Oh, and.
- 1:24:58Speaker 7: This is where it gets interesting, at least I think.
- 1:25:01Speaker 7: He also says that there's multiple sightings. This is in
- 1:25:04Speaker 7: December of 2025. There's an email saying that there's cockroaches
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: in room. I'm not even going to say the room,
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: but it's in a room, a classroom. When I was
- 1:25:15Speaker 7: there last year, they had six classrooms, I believe. I
- 1:25:19Speaker 7: believe there were six. Anyway, there was cockroach sightings in
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: that classroom. The teachers reported it to him. And then
- 1:25:28Speaker 7: they also found, the health inspector found this one in
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: the pool area. So he's notifying.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: And just so I get it straight, they were also
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: in the kitchen, correct, at the same time?
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: Well, I mean, I don't know. I actually had broken
- 1:25:41Speaker 7: my back and I was out on a, I was
- 1:25:43Speaker 7: back on a workman's comp. I have no idea. I
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: didn't know about the kitchen until May. All right. I
- 1:25:49Speaker 7: don't know. Okay. So they have this. And then in
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: that email, he tells the principal, who's Andrew Garber. Andrew
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: Garber tells Bill Whitaker that the plan is they're going
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: to spray every week for the next three to four weeks.
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: Except there's no invoices. Where's the invoices from that?
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: Okay, well, that's fair. I mean, I don't know. So
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: you're saying, did they spray every week? You don't know.
- 1:26:17Speaker 7: I don't know. That's my question. Did they spray? Is
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: that why the cockroach infestation got so bad that by
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: May 21st, what happened on May 21st was I'm just
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: doing my thing, you know, in the kitchen, and I
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: start seeing out of the corner of my eye something moving,
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: and I freak out because the week prior, okay, so
- 1:26:38Speaker 7: now let's go the week prior. I don't even know
- 1:26:41Speaker 7: what day it would be, May 14th or something like that.
- 1:26:43Speaker 7: There was one that I saw in the kitchen. Well,
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: I'm so stupid that, and I know nothing about cockroaches, right?
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: And I go up to the custodian and I'm like, hey,
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: there's a cockroach in the kitchen. And he says, oh yeah,
- 1:26:56Speaker 7: they're coming out to spray tonight. So then I didn't
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: see him anymore. And like a week goes by and
- 1:27:03Speaker 7: I don't see him anymore. So I'm thinking, oh, look,
- 1:27:06Speaker 7: you know, it was taken care of. Well, then on
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: May 21st, I see two crawling around. Then I start
- 1:27:14Speaker 7: an email chain. And I get Bill Whitaker. I get
- 1:27:17Speaker 7: Kelly Bahoon. She's the human resource. And I get Andrew Garber,
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: the principal, all in like an email chain saying, hey,
- 1:27:26Speaker 7: we've got cockroaches in the kitchen here. Like, are we
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: going to do anything about it? And then it just
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: started from there. And then.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: Well, no, no. Just take me along here and explain.
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: I'll follow you. Tell me what started from there.
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: Just explain. Once you continue to explain this, we've got
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: plenty of time so we can all understand what has
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: taken place.
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: Well, I mean, I would like just to read from
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: my email, but I'll just go by memory. So I say,
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: you know, is there something going on here with these cockroaches?
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: I mean, I'm saying I'm worried about the cleanliness of
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: the kitchen. And then somebody jumped in. I think it
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: was Andrew, the principal, was actually in Columbus at the time,
- 1:28:07Speaker 7: and he jumps in by email, and he says, like, oh,
- 1:28:10Speaker 7: the guy was there yesterday and sprayed two gallons of stuff.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: All right, stand by.
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: Don't go anywhere.
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: Sure.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: It's important that people hear this. News Radio 570 WKBN
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: and Ron Verb, 452, Wednesday afternoon from the Kingdom of Mahoning.
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: I Heart Radio. All right, so let me go back here.
- 1:28:32Speaker 3: And so we're talking with.
- 1:28:36Speaker 6: Tony, right? Right.
- 1:28:40Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: So you pick up with your story here.
- 1:28:45Speaker 7: I was telling you, I actually found the email chain
- 1:28:48Speaker 7: and it was Thursday, May 21st at 932. Actually, I
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: take that back. It was 918. The first one, and
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: I just write that I was sitting at my desk
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: and I saw something. I am growing increasingly anxious about
- 1:29:07Speaker 7: not only the cleanliness of this kitchen, but also bringing
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: them home to my house if they lay eggs anywhere.
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: Because remember, I don't know anything about cockroaches. So then
- 1:29:17Speaker 7: at 9.32, which would be what, 14 minutes later, I
- 1:29:20Speaker 7: got from the maintenance director who was supposed to be
- 1:29:24Speaker 7: in charge of all this. The guy was at the
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: school yesterday around 3.30 to 4. He sprayed all over
- 1:29:29Speaker 7: the areas. We have seen the roaches. He is going
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: to tell us what the protocol is. Can you check
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: in with him again and ask he please respond? I
- 1:29:39Speaker 7: take that back. That was CCing the maintenance. That was
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: actually from the principal, Andrew Garber. Andrew Garber is responding
- 1:29:46Speaker 7: to me saying that they were there yesterday. And then
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: that was 9.32. At 9.41, like 10 minutes later, I'm like, hey,
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: can anybody do some quick research on the likelihood of
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: me bringing them home? As he was crawling around about
- 1:29:59Speaker 7: 12 inches from my sweater and my bag. And I
- 1:30:02Speaker 7: just go on about my concerns. And then like, I
- 1:30:07Speaker 7: don't know, 20 minutes later, this is from the maintenance instructor,
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: or I'm sorry, maintenance director. The exterminator has been coming
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: on Wednesday for the last three to four weeks. Except
- 1:30:19Speaker 7: you remember, I don't have the invoices. Well, I have
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: one from May 10th. So I guess I have one
- 1:30:25Speaker 7: of those invoices. They were in the pool area and
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: they were taken care of and then appeared in the kitchen.
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: They were baited and sprayed with a growth inhibitor, which basically,
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: which is basically birth control. Then they were discovered in
- 1:30:39Speaker 7: the SSA area. And the SSA area is a whole,
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: I don't know how many employees, there's a lot, but
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: those are like the caseworkers that go out into the community,
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: they're housed within the school. So upon the return of
- 1:30:51Speaker 7: the exterminator yesterday, our afternoon custodian was with him to
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: spray in the SSA area. I will get details from Dave.
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: This was at 9.58. And then, like, eight minutes later,
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: this is from.
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: All right, hold that. No, no, just sit right there.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: Let me do my headlines at five. I'm going to
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: come back and pick up with her scenario and update
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: you on this. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570. WDQEN from the
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: Kingdom of Mahoning. We're here tonight until 6 o'clock. And
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: isn't this interesting? It makes you wonder. We'll come back
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: with more NewsRadio 570.
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: WDQEN.
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: Don't touch that dial, don't you dare. Ron Furman going

- 1:32:04Speaker 15: another Dan Sullivan, to challenge Republican Senator Dan Sullivan.
- 1:32:08Speaker 4: They are cheating.
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: Let's just, let's call it what it is.
- 1:32:11Speaker 22: They are cheating. They are trying to take votes away
- 1:32:13Speaker 22: from the incumbent, not by running an election and not
- 1:32:16Speaker 22: by running on issues, but by putting up a person
- 1:32:18Speaker 22: who with the same name.
- 1:32:20Speaker 15: US Attorney General Todd Blanch also just telling Fox when
- 1:32:23Speaker 15: the Alaska Supreme Court ruled that the alternate Sullivan could

- 1:32:36Speaker 15: He says a civil lawsuit asks the federal courts to intervene.
- 1:32:39Speaker 15: President Trump suggesting Democrats perjured themselves during the previous court fight.
- 1:32:44Speaker 15: The Peltola campaign denies the Times report. So does the
- 1:32:48Speaker 15: campaign arm for Senate Democrats, which also accuses Republicans of
- 1:32:52Speaker 15: having a long history of recruiting and propping up other
- 1:32:55Speaker 15: candidates to boost their own campaigns. Across the country, a
- 1:32:59Speaker 15: midterm blitz continues with Vice President J.D. Vance in North Carolina,

- 1:33:06Speaker 25: He came home because he believes that this state deserves

- 1:35:03Speaker 2: Back to it, NewsRadio 570, WKBN, and Ron Verb. I
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: want to go right back to... If you're joining us,
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: just to give a background, you're complaining about... Working at
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: Leonard Kurtz School, MRDD, and cockroach infestation is in the building, correct?
- 1:35:25Speaker 7: That's correct. I don't know if I would say complaining.
- 1:35:28Speaker 7: I would say I just want people to know what
- 1:35:30Speaker 7: is going on here. I mean, I guess maybe that's complaining,
- 1:35:33Speaker 7: but I was telling you about the email, and I
- 1:35:36Speaker 7: don't want to get too deep into these emails because
- 1:35:38Speaker 7: it gets confusing, but.
- 1:35:41Speaker 7: This morning, it kind of all blew up on May
- 1:35:43Speaker 7: 21st because, frankly, I had like a meltdown. And so
- 1:35:50Speaker 7: I had a meltdown that I was sharing a kitchen
- 1:35:52Speaker 7: with cockroaches.
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: And what was the month of that?
- 1:35:56Speaker 7: This was May 21st of 2026. It was like the
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: end of the school year, towards the end of the
- 1:36:02Speaker 7: school year. So at 9.59, this is where I left off,
- 1:36:06Speaker 7: I think, the maintenance director who was supposed to be
- 1:36:09Speaker 7: in charge of this, he sees, he emails me. And everybody, like,
- 1:36:13Speaker 7: you know, there's a bunch of people he sees on this,
- 1:36:15Speaker 7: the principal, the superintendent, the human resource lady. And he
- 1:36:19Speaker 7: just tells me the exterminator has been coming out for
- 1:36:21Speaker 7: the last three to four weeks. And he's telling me
- 1:36:23Speaker 7: about the solution that they use and blah.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: Blah, blah, blah, right?
- 1:36:26Speaker 7: So that was at 9.59 AM. Well, in my panic attack,
- 1:36:32Speaker 7: somehow I went over to the board office because I
- 1:36:36Speaker 7: told the secretary before I left, I said, I was crying.
- 1:36:38Speaker 7: And I said, I just wanna go home. and I
- 1:36:42Speaker 7: want to go home because me and the secretary had
- 1:36:44Speaker 7: seen one. I don't have an email on this, but
- 1:36:46Speaker 7: I can tell you it's true. I was crying to
- 1:36:49Speaker 7: her about these cockroaches. As I'm crying to her about
- 1:36:52Speaker 7: the cockroaches, I saw one go up above my sink.
- 1:36:57Speaker 7: And then I'm like, oh my God, I lost it.
- 1:36:58Speaker 7: Did you see it? And it's like, and then it
- 1:37:00Speaker 7: ended up, I had like a little Tupperware thing of
- 1:37:03Speaker 7: coffee pods for my Keurig and it was laying in
- 1:37:07Speaker 7: my coffee pods. So I said, that's it. I'm going home.
- 1:37:11Speaker 7: I got to go talk to human resources. So I
- 1:37:13Speaker 7: crossed over, went over to the building, and I was in,
- 1:37:16Speaker 7: her name is Kelly Bahoon. So at some point, so
- 1:37:22Speaker 7: then at 10.02 a.m., Kelly emails to everybody that she
- 1:37:31Speaker 7: wants to call the health department and So, so then
- 1:37:35Speaker 7: the health, and I'm not saying that that's why they
- 1:37:37Speaker 7: called the health department. I'm not saying that at all.
- 1:37:39Speaker 7: I'm just saying it's in an email. I don't even
- 1:37:41Speaker 7: remember saying that, Ron. I was like in such a state.
- 1:37:45Speaker 7: I was like freaking out.
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: So, um, I said, I want the health department should
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: be notified to me. That's, they should be notified.
- 1:37:53Speaker 23: I mean, Obviously.
- 1:37:57Speaker 7: Obviously, I'm just telling you what's in the email. But see,
- 1:38:01Speaker 7: I was a food service worker. I think I needed
- 1:38:04Speaker 7: a GED for that job. I mean, my supervisor was,
- 1:38:08Speaker 7: you know, there was plenty of supervisors that should have
- 1:38:10Speaker 7: been calling the food service. health department. But anyway, so
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: I had told Kelly, like, I want to go home.
- 1:38:17Speaker 7: She goes, you can go home. I said, I don't
- 1:38:18Speaker 7: want to lose my job. She goes, you're not going
- 1:38:19Speaker 7: to lose your job. So sure enough, I went home
- 1:38:21Speaker 7: and then I called in the next day, which was Friday.
- 1:38:25Speaker 7: And so then that was a Thursday. So Thursday and Friday,
- 1:38:27Speaker 7: I stayed home. I got a phone call from one
- 1:38:30Speaker 7: of my friends on Thursday that the health department did
- 1:38:33Speaker 7: come in and they shut down the kitchen voluntarily. They
- 1:38:39Speaker 7: said that the way that they worded it was that
- 1:38:42Speaker 7: they didn't have to shut down the kitchen. It was
- 1:38:45Speaker 7: voluntarily shut down upon recommendation of the health department. Doesn't
- 1:38:50Speaker 7: matter it was closed, right? So then I came back
- 1:38:52Speaker 7: on a Monday, which would have been, I think like,
- 1:38:57Speaker 7: I don't even know what that would be, May 24th
- 1:38:59Speaker 7: or something. I don't know. The next Monday I come
- 1:39:01Speaker 7: back and they had me in the home ec room
- 1:39:11Speaker 7: so that the kids could still have lunches because we
- 1:39:15Speaker 7: have a lunch service. that all the lunches came in
- 1:39:19Speaker 7: almost like a TV tray, for lack of a better
- 1:39:21Speaker 7: way to describe it, and you would just heat them up.
- 1:39:24Speaker 7: You would just heat up these pre-made things in these
- 1:39:26Speaker 7: trays and then, you know, hand them out. Well, since
- 1:39:28Speaker 7: I didn't have my oven anymore, they had to get
- 1:39:33Speaker 7: cold lunches from the house, you know, like a ham sandwich,
- 1:39:36Speaker 7: turkey sandwich, whatever. So just so.
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: I understand it, the actual kitchen, before it was closed down,
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: Didn't make the food. They brought it in and heated
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: it up.
- 1:39:49Speaker 7: I would occasionally make like cookies for them or something,
- 1:39:51Speaker 7: but that's just if I wanted to do it. I
- 1:39:53Speaker 7: hardly ever did it. So, yeah, we just like heated
- 1:39:56Speaker 7: up things.
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: Who made the food?
- 1:40:00Speaker 7: A place in Twinsburg. I forget the name of it.
- 1:40:03Speaker 7: It was a company. They came to a bunch of
- 1:40:06Speaker 7: different like charter schools here.
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: So they made the food in Twinsburg that day and.
- 1:40:13Speaker 7: Then shipped it here? I want to say it was Twinsburg.
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: I want to say it was in Twinsburg. Apparently you
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: can't do that around here, huh? But anyway, so they
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: get it in Twinsburg or wherever and they bring it
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: here and then heat it up.
- 1:40:29Speaker 7: But the problem, the thing that I did do in
- 1:40:30Speaker 7: the kitchen was there was, I think, maybe... six or
- 1:40:34Speaker 7: seven kids, I'm going by memory, that couldn't eat food.
- 1:40:37Speaker 7: You know, these are disabled students. So some of them
- 1:40:39Speaker 7: couldn't eat like regular, like, you know, a regular hamburger.
- 1:40:42Speaker 7: You had to put it in a blender and puree
- 1:40:44Speaker 7: it for them. So I had to take, I had
- 1:40:47Speaker 7: to go into the, they put me in the home
- 1:40:52Speaker 7: ec room to do the purees.
- 1:40:55Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: I understand. Okay. How many lunches are we talking about
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: roughly per day? Okay.
- 1:41:04Speaker 7: I want to say like 50. Okay. Again, I'm guessing.
- 1:41:08Speaker 7: I can't remember. It was about 50. Yeah. So I
- 1:41:12Speaker 7: came back and then I was so appalled about this
- 1:41:15Speaker 7: whole situation. I started another email chain. And you know what?
- 1:41:19Speaker 7: I can't find that email chain, but it doesn't really matter.
- 1:41:22Speaker 7: It was just an email chain. And I literally started
- 1:41:24Speaker 7: it out something like, this is just to document cockroach
- 1:41:29Speaker 7: sightings in the school.
- 1:41:30Speaker 17: You know what I mean?
- 1:41:31Speaker 7: And that there was a problem because I knew enough
- 1:41:33Speaker 7: that if I didn't have this stuff in writing, at
- 1:41:36Speaker 7: a later date, I couldn't go back and FOIA it.
- 1:41:38Speaker 7: You know what I mean? Like I had to have
- 1:41:40Speaker 7: emails on it. So I tried to start that. Like,
- 1:41:44Speaker 7: I think I want to say that was on June 1st.
- 1:41:46Speaker 7: It was like June 1st and June 2nd. And then honestly, okay.
- 1:41:50Speaker 7: And then honestly, like once I got enough information, oh,
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: and then in that email chain, I kept trying to
- 1:41:56Speaker 7: hammer away at the principal. Has the parents been notified
- 1:42:00Speaker 7: that there are cockroaches in their children's classroom? And he
- 1:42:03Speaker 7: wouldn't answer. And I think I knew the answer to that,
- 1:42:06Speaker 7: but he wouldn't answer it. And then finally, Bill Whitaker
- 1:42:09Speaker 7: came on to the email and said, I have been
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: in contact with the health department. He kind of was
- 1:42:14Speaker 7: shutting me down. And I thought, you know what? This
- 1:42:17Speaker 7: is enough for now. At a later date, I'm going
- 1:42:20Speaker 7: to get all this from an email and I'll figure
- 1:42:22Speaker 7: out what to do.
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 1:42:23Speaker 7: I kind of like just stopped.
- 1:42:26Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 1:42:26Speaker 7: So then I didn't go back. I didn't work the summer.
- 1:42:31Speaker 7: That's a whole other story. But I didn't work summer camp.
- 1:42:34Speaker 7: So they had summer camp.
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: So just give me a picture.
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: In this building, in Leonard Kurtz, this building, there are roughly, what,
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: 50 students in that building in general?
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: No, there's roughly like 60. All right, 60. You have
- 1:42:49Speaker 7: to understand, some of them don't eat by mouth. Some
- 1:42:52Speaker 7: of them, okay.
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: All right, but there's... And that school are 60 students total?
- 1:42:57Speaker 7: Roughly, roughly.
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: All right. And so.
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: What's a lot of staff for the 60? I mean,
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: is there?
- 1:43:07Speaker 7: Well, that's funny that you should say that. Every like
- 1:43:11Speaker 7: I think. I think there were six classrooms. Again, I'm
- 1:43:15Speaker 7: going by memory. There was maybe six classrooms, and then
- 1:43:18Speaker 7: each classroom would have maybe three assistants in there. And honestly,
- 1:43:21Speaker 7: they're doing the Lord's work.
- 1:43:23Speaker 8: The Lord's work.
- 1:43:24Speaker 7: I witnessed it every day. They work so hard. And
- 1:43:29Speaker 7: they probably... I don't know what their staffing... I don't
- 1:43:32Speaker 7: know what the ratio is legally, but They're not overstaffed.
- 1:43:37Speaker 7: If anything, I would say they're understaffed. But I don't know.
- 1:43:39Speaker 7: They could be staffed perfectly. I just don't know.
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: Are these people of all ages?
- 1:43:45Speaker 7: No, no, no. These are like kindergartners, like maybe 5
- 1:43:48Speaker 7: to 22. I know like at 18... This is just
- 1:43:55Speaker 7: my understanding of it. At 18, they can graduate.
- 1:43:58Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:43:58Speaker 7: But I think they can stay there until 22. And
- 1:44:00Speaker 7: then after they hit 22, they have to leave.
- 1:44:03Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:44:04Speaker 7: That's my understanding.
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: Okay. Yes.
- 1:44:08Speaker 7: So as far as, like, other staff, there's a lot
- 1:44:10Speaker 7: of custodians. I don't know that they're all needed. Right.
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: Listen, I'm merely asking the question.
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: Because they have a levy for millions and millions and
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: millions of dollars. It's ridiculous.
- 1:44:22Speaker 7: And you know what? And here's the thing, and I'm
- 1:44:24Speaker 7: getting a lot of flack on Facebook from people saying
- 1:44:26Speaker 7: that this is why I'm doing this. I mean, I
- 1:44:29Speaker 7: can't prove it. I'm not doing it because of the levy.
- 1:44:31Speaker 7: I'm doing it, this is just a timeframe. I only
- 1:44:33Speaker 7: got these documents two weeks ago, like the emails. It
- 1:44:37Speaker 7: took me a while to get the emails. I had the,
- 1:44:41Speaker 7: I asked for the invoices for, well, first, the very
- 1:44:43Speaker 7: first thing I did was go to the public, the
- 1:44:45Speaker 7: health department, Mahoney County Health Department, and I got their stuff.
- 1:44:48Speaker 7: And then I went to Mahoney County Board of DD,
- 1:44:51Speaker 7: and I got the invoices, which I only found two,
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: and I'd like to talk about that because it's kind
- 1:44:56Speaker 7: of crazy. And then I asked for any kind of
- 1:45:01Speaker 7: emails regarding pest control, cockroaches, whatever, and then I just
- 1:45:05Speaker 7: got a plethora. I couldn't believe what they sent me.
- 1:45:08Speaker 7: I mean, I've got cockroaches falling from the ceiling and
- 1:45:10Speaker 7: landing on an employee on September 10th.
- 1:45:12Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 1:45:15Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: I've got... I've got them everywhere. They're all over everybody's desks.
- 1:45:20Speaker 7: And it's like, and my daughter kept saying to me,
- 1:45:22Speaker 7: you know, if those employees want to go there and
- 1:45:24Speaker 7: they don't care, but like, where are these kids? Like,
- 1:45:27Speaker 7: whoever stood up for the kids and notified. Now, maybe
- 1:45:30Speaker 7: they did notify the parents. I did not get that
- 1:45:33Speaker 7: in the FOIA request. I got nothing saying that... The
- 1:45:39Speaker 7: parents were notified prior to summer camp or prior to
- 1:45:44Speaker 7: school starting. Summer camp was from, I believe, July 6th
- 1:45:47Speaker 7: to August 6th. School started August 31st. I've got, I mean,
- 1:45:53Speaker 7: it was a major problem. I've got an email from
- 1:45:56Speaker 7: the principal interrupting the vacation of our superintendent telling him that,
- 1:46:01Speaker 7: you know, it was a major problem in wing one.
- 1:46:04Speaker 7: That was, I believe, on the 27th of August. I'd
- 1:46:08Speaker 7: have to go back and look.
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: I'm so sorry we had to interrupt this vacation for
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: a problem.
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead.
- 1:46:13Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:46:13Speaker 7: I know. Isn't that terrible? And everybody was so polite.
- 1:46:15Speaker 7: That's another funny thing. I sent you all the emails.
- 1:46:18Speaker 7: I would hope that somebody would investigate it, at least
- 1:46:21Speaker 7: all the emails that I thought were important. And it's
- 1:46:25Speaker 7: funny how when anybody was reporting this, they were so
- 1:46:27Speaker 7: polite about it. Um, these are just my notes. It
- 1:46:31Speaker 7: was on August 26th, the 12, 14, two bill from Andrew, um,
- 1:46:35Speaker 7: significant increase in classrooms with concentration in rooms one and three.
- 1:46:38Speaker 7: And so, so that was August 26th.
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: Um, so, so you're just seeing more cockroaches as.
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: Time goes on.
- 1:46:47Speaker 7: Well, all I'm saying is like school was starting. Like,
- 1:46:49Speaker 7: why didn't they just, my question is to shut down
- 1:46:52Speaker 7: the building. You know what I mean? Like, why did
- 1:46:54Speaker 7: you have summer camp? I have them all through the
- 1:46:55Speaker 7: building on summer camp. Um, That's when I have one
- 1:46:59Speaker 7: crawling on a teacher during summer camp, crawling on a teacher.
- 1:47:02Speaker 7: So if they're crawling on a teacher, are they crawling
- 1:47:04Speaker 7: on a child? Can the child who's nonverbal say anything
- 1:47:08Speaker 7: if that happens?
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: I mean, why are they all there? I mean, why
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: is this?
- 1:47:14Speaker 7: Well, because they just weren't sprayed. I mean, I have documentation,
- 1:47:18Speaker 7: and this I don't have, but I mean, I have it.
- 1:47:21Speaker 7: I have this, but I just don't have it in
- 1:47:22Speaker 7: front of me. My guess was that when the old maintenance,
- 1:47:26Speaker 7: because people kept telling me this, they were like, so-and-so
- 1:47:30Speaker 7: used to spray the building every month, and then he retired,
- 1:47:34Speaker 7: and the new maintenance guy wasn't doing the monthly sprays.
- 1:47:38Speaker 7: So in my foyer, And sure enough, 2021, 2022, there's
- 1:47:46Speaker 7: invoices of every month as control coming out. And then
- 1:47:51Speaker 7: it stops. It just stops. I have nothing until March
- 1:47:56Speaker 7: 4th of 2026. I have two invoices. And like, Ron,
- 1:48:02Speaker 7: you have to understand, I was so shocked when I
- 1:48:04Speaker 7: got those two invoices. I said, this can't be true.
- 1:48:07Speaker 7: So I kept saying, you know, is this all the
- 1:48:09Speaker 7: information there is? And I'd get back, yes, that is
- 1:48:11Speaker 7: all the information. This completes your request. I literally wrote
- 1:48:14Speaker 7: on September 11th, I wrote, after reviewing this, this was after...
- 1:48:20Speaker 7: they sent me the invoices. I wrote after reviewing this,
- 1:48:25Speaker 7: it cannot be true that there was no pest control
- 1:48:27Speaker 7: after the kitchen was shut down upon the health department's recommendation,
- 1:48:31Speaker 7: May 21st of 2026. And I got back as far
- 1:48:35Speaker 7: as the invoices for service, We have provided the invoices
- 1:48:40Speaker 7: that were provided to us by the pest control company.
- 1:48:45Speaker 7: What is going on? Now, I will say this. They
- 1:48:49Speaker 7: changed pest control companies in the beginning.
- 1:48:51Speaker 23: Of August, and.
- 1:48:52Speaker 7: Grace Pest Control took over. Once Grace took over, it
- 1:48:56Speaker 7: was like boom, boom, boom, invoice, invoice, invoice.
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: Plus, I think people would agree, Grace Pest Control has
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: a pretty solid reputation.
- 1:49:07Speaker 6: Right, right.
- 1:49:07Speaker 7: Well, you know what? I've heard that. I don't know.
- 1:49:11Speaker 7: I've heard that. And I'll give them that because I
- 1:49:12Speaker 7: have the invoices. And I will tell you this, and
- 1:49:15Speaker 7: this is through the... Now, this gets to the levy.
- 1:49:17Speaker 7: And again, I'm not about the levy, but those monthly.
- 1:49:22Speaker 7: Sprays, it was either $ 52 or $ 55. It was less
- 1:49:25Speaker 7: than $ 60 a month. And I'm thinking about how do
- 1:49:27Speaker 7: you even do that? Like my husband's business, he charges
- 1:49:30Speaker 7: like $ 90 for a service call.
- 1:49:32Speaker 23: But they're coming out.
- 1:49:33Speaker 7: Whatever, $ 52, $ 55, they had a contract. Grace, for them
- 1:49:38Speaker 7: to come out weekly, because now it's supposed to be weekly.
- 1:49:43Speaker 7: it's $ 1, 100 a week.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: That seems more realistic, doesn't it, for a building that size?
- 1:49:49Speaker 7: It does seem more realistic, but if you can imagine,
- 1:49:51Speaker 7: if we were only spending $ 55 a month, and now
- 1:49:54Speaker 7: we're going to $ 1, 100 a week, I'll give them whatever
- 1:49:56Speaker 7: they want to get rid of that. Obviously, the $ 52
- 1:49:58Speaker 7: wasn't cutting it.
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: And you still, the problem didn't go away.
- 1:50:06Speaker 2: I don't, I don't understand how you could have, well,
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: just hear me out. I don't understand how you could
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: have any type of pest service in a facility that large.
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: Common sense-wise for $ 52. Grace's price seems more reasonable on
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: a large facility like that.
- 1:50:24Speaker 6: I agree.
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: Basically, Grace is saying this is what it costs to
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: spray this area and to do this properly so that
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: it isn't a recurring problem.
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: That makes perfect sense to me.
- 1:50:37Speaker 7: Okay, so I will say this. I think they have
- 1:50:40Speaker 7: to use more product now that there's an infestation. I
- 1:50:44Speaker 7: think with the old company... You know what I mean?
- 1:50:47Speaker 7: There wasn't an infestation.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: All I can say is just based on what you're
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: telling me, the problem just didn't go away. So now
- 1:50:54Speaker 2: you've got a company that's saying we're going to take
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: this approach and we're going to hit it hard and
- 1:50:58Speaker 2: do something about it. Okay, so then what happened once
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: Grace took over?
- 1:51:04Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, hopefully they haven't. I mean, I
- 1:51:06Speaker 7: don't know.
- 1:51:06Speaker 6: I quit.
- 1:51:07Speaker 7: So, I mean, I don't know what's going on there.
- 1:51:08Speaker 7: Nobody really talks to me. Imagine that.
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: So is the kitchen still closed?
- 1:51:15Speaker 7: No, the health department opened the kitchen on April 27th,
- 1:51:20Speaker 7: I believe. I'm guessing at that date, but right around
- 1:51:23Speaker 7: April 27th.
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: Is it safe to assume, assume being the key word,
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: that obviously Grace Best Control did things the right way
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: and got the problem solved to where they could reopen
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: the kitchen where the health department was comfortable with it?
- 1:51:40Speaker 7: Yes, I would say that.
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: Right, me too.
- 1:51:43Speaker 7: I'm looking at a log right now that on October 2nd,
- 1:51:46Speaker 7: there was one found in Classroom 13. They actually kept
- 1:51:49Speaker 7: a log of live cockroaches. All right, stand by for me.
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: Just stand by.
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: The cockroaches at Leonard Kurtz. The saga continues. NewsRadio 570,
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: Dodie KvN.

- 1:52:24Speaker 4: 1-800-433-8577.
- 1:52:31Speaker 27: Certain restrictions apply.
- 1:52:32Speaker 24: Call for details.
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: Flying Missions is an Air Force... All right, Tony's on
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: the end of my line sheet.
- 1:52:39Speaker 10: So.
- 1:52:41Speaker 7: Well, you know what? If I could just go over
- 1:52:44Speaker 7: one thing with you that I find important. On Thursday,
- 1:52:47Speaker 7: July 9th, Bill Whitaker emails somebody in his finance... It's
- 1:52:52Speaker 7: Ben in his finance department. And he writes, Hi, Ben.
- 1:52:55Speaker 7: Are you able to check the system to see how
- 1:52:57Speaker 7: many times Crago Pest Control has billed us this calendar year?
- 1:53:01Speaker 7: And he writes, we have been billed twice this year
- 1:53:03Speaker 7: by Crago for a total of $ 415. The last invoice
- 1:53:07Speaker 7: we received was May 11th, and the first was March 4th.
- 1:53:11Speaker 7: And then Bill writes back, does the bill itemize dates
- 1:53:16Speaker 7: of a treatment? And he says, Ben writes back, no,
- 1:53:20Speaker 7: they don't. However, it could be the invoice date, but
- 1:53:23Speaker 7: I'm not sure. I can call and ask. And Bill
- 1:53:26Speaker 7: writes back, if you don't mind, I would like to
- 1:53:27Speaker 7: know how often they come. And then it just ends. So,
- 1:53:31Speaker 7: I mean, Bill Whitaker was on this. You know what
- 1:53:35Speaker 7: I mean? This email shows, in my mind at least,
- 1:53:39Speaker 7: that he knew that there was only two invoices for
- 1:53:41Speaker 7: the calendar year, March 4th and May 11th. So that
- 1:53:46Speaker 7: was July 9th. And then it seems like the beginning
- 1:53:49Speaker 7: of August they went with Grace. Well, like, why did
- 1:53:52Speaker 7: he take so long to go to Grace?
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:53:55Speaker 7: You know? I mean, hello? So I don't know what
- 1:53:59Speaker 7: is up with these two invoices, but I just wanted
- 1:54:03Speaker 7: to share that.
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:54:05Speaker 3: So did you quit or did they fire you?
- 1:54:09Speaker 7: Well, I mean, I couldn't go back. I quit. I
- 1:54:12Speaker 7: just said, I'm just not coming back. I wasn't... I mean,
- 1:54:15Speaker 7: it discussed... I was the only one... To my knowledge,
- 1:54:18Speaker 7: I was the only one that quit. I mean, I'm
- 1:54:19Speaker 7: not going to work with cockroaches. And I had heard,
- 1:54:22Speaker 7: even though I didn't work summer camp, I had heard
- 1:54:25Speaker 7: here and there that the problem was still there. And frankly,
- 1:54:28Speaker 7: I was just so mad.
- 1:54:30Speaker 6: I knew....
- 1:54:31Speaker 7: Like, how is it going to go over if I am, like,
- 1:54:34Speaker 7: calling Ron Verb and, you know, punching in at 8
- 1:54:36Speaker 7: o'clock in the morning?
- 1:54:38Speaker 20: You know what I mean?
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: Like, I didn't know if they would— Probably wouldn't go
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: too well.
- 1:54:41Speaker 7: Probably wouldn't go too well, and I'm the type of
- 1:54:43Speaker 7: person that I'm just not going to stop. So, I mean,
- 1:54:47Speaker 7: this is outrageous. I mean, and no parents, like, were
- 1:54:53Speaker 7: the parents ever notified? These kids are medically fragile, and
- 1:54:58Speaker 7: they are nonverbal. Not all of them, but a good
- 1:55:01Speaker 7: portion of them. Like, and oh, and then, like, I'd
- 1:55:06Speaker 7: have to find it, but there was a letter from
- 1:55:08Speaker 7: the teachers, like, you know, because they're all in a union.
- 1:55:11Speaker 7: There was a letter from the teachers saying, to the,
- 1:55:15Speaker 7: you know, with the principal and they voiced their concerns.
- 1:55:18Speaker 7: And that was, you know, one of their concerns was,
- 1:55:21Speaker 7: you know, these kids, these kids are nonverbal. Like, how
- 1:55:25Speaker 7: do they know if there's a cockroach on their belongings
- 1:55:27Speaker 7: or on them, you know? And then they were worried,
- 1:55:31Speaker 7: the teachers in this letter were worried of taking them home,
- 1:55:38Speaker 7: you know? And they were also worried about, you know,
- 1:55:40Speaker 7: how long is this, you know, why did it get
- 1:55:42Speaker 7: this bad and how long is this going to take
- 1:55:45Speaker 7: to fix? And, you know, that was like a union,
- 1:55:50Speaker 7: a union type meeting. So, I mean, the teachers were
- 1:55:52Speaker 7: upset about it. I think, I think they were, I don't,
- 1:55:56Speaker 7: I don't know. I don't know what they think, but, um,
- 1:55:59Speaker 7: cause like I say, I just want to stick to
- 1:56:00Speaker 7: my emails. I don't want to like surmise anything because
- 1:56:03Speaker 7: I don't have a, I don't have free, a free
- 1:56:05Speaker 7: lawyer like they have with the prosecutor's office.
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: So, so, so it's, So you don't know where it
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: stands right now as we speak.
- 1:56:17Speaker 7: No, like I told you, I have this log, the
- 1:56:20Speaker 7: principal actually, and it's so funny because in one of
- 1:56:22Speaker 7: the emails, oh my gosh, these emails are so crazy.
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: Does anybody commend you for expressing concern over this?
- 1:56:29Speaker 20: Go to BossLadies.com.
- 1:56:32Speaker 7: I just have to laugh. If you go to Boss Lady,
- 1:56:35Speaker 7: I don't even know her name. I only know her
- 1:56:36Speaker 7: Boss Lady because that's what you call her. Because I
- 1:56:39Speaker 7: gave her a bunch of emails and she was.
- 1:56:42Speaker 11: Like, what?
- 1:56:42Speaker 7: So she put them on Facebook. And I actually... I
- 1:56:48Speaker 7: had one of the teachers say, shame on you. Like,
- 1:56:51Speaker 7: you know, you can go to Facebook and read, like,
- 1:56:53Speaker 7: you know, and they're worried about the levy. Shame on you. Like,
- 1:56:56Speaker 7: why are you trying to do this? I say, because
- 1:56:58Speaker 7: I'm trying to shed some light on it. Because I
- 1:57:00Speaker 7: am an advocate for these kids. Who is the advocate
- 1:57:03Speaker 7: for these kids? I mean, obviously it's supposed to be
- 1:57:06Speaker 7: the MCVDD, but, I mean, how are they advocating?
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: All right, stand by, please. Back in a minute, NewsRadio 570.
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: NewsRadio 570, WKVN.
- 1:57:19Speaker 24: The polls have come out about the Ohio governor race.
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: They're still neck and neck.
- 1:57:24Speaker 26: The poll was conducted over the last couple of days
- 1:57:26Speaker 26: and still shows Democrat Amy Acton with a four-point lead
- 1:57:29Speaker 26: over Republican Vivek Ramaswamy. It's the first poll to be
- 1:57:32Speaker 26: released after Ramaswamy's controversial ad featuring Acton's mother. The results
- 1:57:36Speaker 26: show Acton's lead is within the poll's margin for error,
- 1:57:39Speaker 26: so the race for governor? Still a statistical dead heat.
- 1:57:42Speaker 26: Suffolk University USA Today poll of 500 registered voters around
- 1:57:46Speaker 26: the state asked if that ad has changed their mind
- 1:57:49Speaker 26: about who they're supporting, and more than 80% said no,
- 1:57:52Speaker 26: though half of those questioned did say Ramaswamy's running the
- 1:57:55Speaker 26: more negative campaign. Poll also asked likely voters who they
- 1:57:58Speaker 26: support for Senate in Ohio. Sherrod Brown has a two-point
- 1:58:01Speaker 26: lead over John Husted. Another statistical dead heat.
- 1:58:05Speaker 3: Brian Combs.
- 1:58:05Speaker 24: Election Day is next Tuesday.
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: I'm Daniel Barnum.

- 1:59:07Speaker 1: 570 WKBN.
- 1:59:09Speaker 3: The cockroach issue at Leonard Kurtz School. All right, hang on.
- 1:59:14Speaker 2: Stand by, Tony, okay?
- 1:59:17Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: All right, wait a second. I'm looking for her.
- 1:59:19Speaker 3: Boss lady.
- 1:59:21Speaker 7: Hi there.
- 1:59:23Speaker 3: Okay, so I got Tony on the line.
- 1:59:24Speaker 11: Oh, yeah. I met with Tony. He has a lot
- 1:59:28Speaker 11: of good information. She did all the FOIA requests. But
- 1:59:30Speaker 11: I think if you want to just sum it up.
- 1:59:33Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: Hey, boss lady.
- 1:59:34Speaker 3: Hey, boss lady. Sum it up quickly.
- 1:59:37Speaker 11: I'm going to give you a quick two bullets.
- 1:59:41Speaker 20: If Whitaker really cared about the kids as much.
- 1:59:43Speaker 7: As he says he does, despite his ballot language.
- 1:59:46Speaker 20: He would have got off his butt and handled this
- 1:59:49Speaker 20: issue that's been going on since December of last year.
- 1:59:53Speaker 20: But he doesn't, or he would have. And you don't
- 1:59:56Speaker 20: put Band-Aids.
- 1:59:57Speaker 7: On, and you don't hire these little, you know, friend of.
- 2:00:00Speaker 20: A friend for $ 100 to do some sprays when there's
- 2:00:03Speaker 20: obviously a.
- 2:00:03Speaker 11: Massive infestation, okay?
- 2:00:06Speaker 20: Just recently in October, they still found these cockroaches. So
- 2:00:13Speaker 20: they are mismanaging now. We want to give more money?
- 2:00:16Speaker 20: Go ahead, give more money. Give it all to them.
- 2:00:20Speaker 20: They're not even managing what they have now. They have
- 2:00:23Speaker 20: about 60 kids down at that school that are, I
- 2:00:26Speaker 20: don't even know how, you know, you get to this point,
- 2:00:30Speaker 20: but that is failure.
- 2:00:31Speaker 11: He has failed miserably.
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: What surprises me is there's 60 kids at that big facility.
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: That's it.
- 2:00:37Speaker 20: No kidding. The building obviously needed completely shut down.
- 2:00:42Speaker 11: You know, these, I've.
- 2:00:44Speaker 20: Read, I mean, I'm not a bug person, but I've
- 2:00:46Speaker 20: read that they're really hard to get rid of. I mean,
- 2:00:50Speaker 20: they're not easy. I mean, cockroaches are, And, you know,
- 2:00:55Speaker 20: now we have Grace in there.
- 2:00:56Speaker 7: Which I'm sure, you know.
- 2:00:58Speaker 20: 4,000, they'll do the job.
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: Well, their pricing is a lot more reasonable on what
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: it should be for a facility. Oh, for sure.
- 2:01:05Speaker 20: Anybody who sees an invoice like that knows.
- 2:01:08Speaker 8: Right.
- 2:01:08Speaker 11: You know right away.
- 2:01:09Speaker 6: Right.
- 2:01:09Speaker 3: Look at how big that facility is.
- 2:01:11Speaker 2: But you've got a company with a really great reputation
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: at dealing with these type of problems. So they'll get
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: it done, but it takes time. They could be hiding anywhere.
- 2:01:21Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:01:22Speaker 7: Can I interrupt for just one second?
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: Stand by. Go ahead, Tony.
- 2:01:27Speaker 7: I just want to interrupt. I just want to make
- 2:01:29Speaker 7: it clear that when I said in 21 and 22
- 2:01:32Speaker 7: when that other company that was coming in, that was preventative. So,
- 2:01:36Speaker 7: I mean, it wasn't like an active, to my knowledge.
- 2:01:39Speaker 7: It wasn't falling from the ceiling like they did on
- 2:01:42Speaker 7: September 10th.
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:01:45Speaker 3: Then duly noted, because that's a good notation.
- 2:01:47Speaker 7: I don't know if we're comparing apples to apples.
- 2:01:51Speaker 2: That is correct. That is a legitimate point that you're making.
- 2:01:53Speaker 2: That's a very good point you're making, because you were
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: saying it was preventative done more often, preventative Before that
- 2:01:59Speaker 2: other guy quits.
- 2:02:00Speaker 7: And it just stopped. It just stopped in like 2022,
- 2:02:02Speaker 7: I think.
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: That's an excellent point. So anyway, and they got a
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: right to change and say, now we got an infestation.
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: We need a different company that has an approach.
- 2:02:13Speaker 20: They should have got there sooner. They should have got
- 2:02:15Speaker 20: there sooner. In March and in December, they knew about
- 2:02:19Speaker 20: the issues. Okay, in March, I mean, but where are
- 2:02:23Speaker 20: we at here?
- 2:02:24Speaker 11: October?
- 2:02:24Speaker 20: I mean, we're almost at Halloween. And it wasn't until
- 2:02:28Speaker 20: when did they brought on Grace?
- 2:02:29Speaker 7: In August.
- 2:02:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:02:31Speaker 7: Beginning of August.
- 2:02:32Speaker 20: I mean, that's crazy. So, you know, don't sit here
- 2:02:36Speaker 20: and say, oh, it's all about the kids, the children,
- 2:02:39Speaker 20: all the children, the disabled. Give me a break.
- 2:02:43Speaker 2: Yeah, 60 students. So what do you think... All right,
- 2:02:48Speaker 2: so let me ask Toni if she has anything she
- 2:02:51Speaker 2: wants to add before I let her go. I mean,
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: I appreciate your time.
- 2:02:55Speaker 7: You know, I just, I mean, I don't know if
- 2:02:56Speaker 7: we talked about this, but, I mean, just Google search
- 2:02:59Speaker 7: cockroaches and disease and see what you find. I mean,
- 2:03:04Speaker 7: they carry disease. Naturally, yeah. And they can harbor, I mean, so, like,
- 2:03:10Speaker 7: how can we have them in the school, in the classrooms?
- 2:03:13Speaker 7: And basically in every, like they were everywhere through that school.
- 2:03:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:03:17Speaker 7: Everywhere.
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I'm with you.
- 2:03:20Speaker 7: And these are like medically fragile kids. Like these are
- 2:03:23Speaker 7: kids that might have.
- 2:03:24Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:03:24Speaker 6: I understand.
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: No, I understand exactly what you're saying. You make an
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: excellent point. You have nothing to apologize for. I think
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: you've done everything right. If it was up to me,
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: I'd give you a medal.
- 2:03:36Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 2:03:38Speaker 2: But no, you did everything right. Hang on a second, Tony.
- 2:03:42Speaker 7: I mean, I did contact.
- 2:03:43Speaker 3: Go ahead, boss lady, before.
- 2:03:45Speaker 20: I said she gets an I.I.
- 2:03:47Speaker 10: Captain.
- 2:03:48Speaker 3: Yeah, you get an I.I. captain from me.
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: Oh, thank you. Because you've done everything right. You've done
- 2:03:53Speaker 2: everything absolutely right.
- 2:03:54Speaker 6: Well, I did call.
- 2:03:54Speaker 7: Can I tell you one more thing I did today?
- 2:03:56Speaker 24: Yes.
- 2:03:57Speaker 7: I did call the Ohio developmental... What is it? Ohio...
- 2:04:02Speaker 7: It's the ODDD, Ohio Department of Disabled. I always get
- 2:04:07Speaker 7: that wrong, but you know what I mean. It's the
- 2:04:09Speaker 7: governing board for the 88 counties.
- 2:04:12Speaker 24: Um.
- 2:04:13Speaker 7: And she told me just with my phone call, I'm
- 2:04:16Speaker 7: so stupid. I'm like, well, how do I go back in?
- 2:04:18Speaker 7: Because I was telling her my story. And then I
- 2:04:20Speaker 7: was like, well, how do I go back in here
- 2:04:21Speaker 7: and ask for a... On the computer, ask for an investigation.
- 2:04:26Speaker 7: She goes, well, you already did with this call. An
- 2:04:29Speaker 7: investigation has been opened up. So hopefully their governing board,
- 2:04:32Speaker 7: which is the state ODDD, will investigate this. And I mean... Yeah.
- 2:04:39Speaker 2: Well, I think you did the right thing. I received
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: some information. Did you notify a friend of mine named Susan,
- 2:04:49Speaker 2: by chance, Suzanne? Anyway, I got, she brought this to me.
- 2:04:52Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, Suzanne.
- 2:04:53Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 2:04:54Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 2:04:54Speaker 3: So don't say, she brought this to my attention.
- 2:04:57Speaker 2: So I just want you to know.
- 2:04:58Speaker 7: Yeah, she's all over it. She's all over it, but
- 2:04:59Speaker 7: she really can't. Her hands are tied.
- 2:05:00Speaker 3: Right, but she brought it to.
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: My attention, so. I haven't had a chance to thank her.
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: If you could thank her on my behalf, I would
- 2:05:07Speaker 2: appreciate it. I sure will. If you would update her
- 2:05:11Speaker 2: on your appearance and thank her for that for me.
- 2:05:14Speaker 7: And I'm going to tell her I got an aye-aye, Captain.
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: I'm so proud. No, I'm deeply appreciated. Just let her know.
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: I'll try to respond to it. I've got a lot
- 2:05:22Speaker 2: going on, so I will respond to it. Tell her
- 2:05:25Speaker 2: thank you very much. I appreciate her thinking of me.
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: And I thank you for your time as well. Okay.
- 2:05:33Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 2:05:33Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Ron.
- 2:05:34Speaker 3: Now keep me in the loop.
- 2:05:35Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:05:36Speaker 3: Okay, don't go.
- 2:05:36Speaker 6: I will.
- 2:05:37Speaker 9: I will.
- 2:05:38Speaker 3: Keep me in the loop. Now hang on, boss lady.
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: Wait a second.
- 2:05:40Speaker 3: I'm going to put her on hold. I'm going to
- 2:05:42Speaker 3: let her go. How about that?
- 2:05:46Speaker 7: I know, man.
- 2:05:48Speaker 2: It was crazy. I sit back admiring this woman. I
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: think this woman's admirable because she's saying, this isn't right,
- 2:05:54Speaker 2: what's going on here.
- 2:05:57Speaker 3: We need more action.
- 2:05:59Speaker 2: I just think... I mean, you find somebody who actually
- 2:06:03Speaker 2: gives a damn about something.
- 2:06:05Speaker 3: I mean, how refreshing is that?
- 2:06:08Speaker 11: That's right.
- 2:06:09Speaker 20: I mean, we need more people to come out, right?
- 2:06:11Speaker 20: If there's issues, then it's not getting handled. you need
- 2:06:15Speaker 20: to start screaming loud because, again, you know, these are
- 2:06:17Speaker 20: taxpayer dollars as well. And when they're not responding or
- 2:06:21Speaker 20: dragging their feet and everybody wants to pretend like they're all,
- 2:06:24Speaker 20: there's no waste, there's no abuse, there's all this great
- 2:06:26Speaker 20: oversight and all these things are happening when we know
- 2:06:29Speaker 20: it's not.
- 2:06:29Speaker 3: I'm not going to vote for that levy.
- 2:06:31Speaker 23: Are you kidding me?
- 2:06:32Speaker 11: No, God.
- 2:06:33Speaker 20: Speaking of, I know you were talking about a lot
- 2:06:36Speaker 20: of the candidates, and I'm going to give you another
- 2:06:39Speaker 20: one that I think is really need to look.
- 2:06:42Speaker 23: Is this Ross Smith?
- 2:06:45Speaker 2: Oh, he's running for a commonly judged. He's a Ross
- 2:06:48Speaker 2: Smith's got a lot of experience in that arena. He's
- 2:06:51Speaker 2: got 20.
- 2:06:51Speaker 20: Years legal experience. He's prosecutor, criminal defense.
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: Well, give me your, well, give me your take boss lady.
- 2:06:57Speaker 2: Cause you know, I'm going to sit back and listen. I,
- 2:07:00Speaker 2: you know, I gotta, I gotta pick these ticks off
- 2:07:02Speaker 2: of me and crabs that I got going, but go ahead.
- 2:07:06Speaker 20: He's already, he's already served on the bench. Like he's
- 2:07:09Speaker 20: already a magistrate. And then you've got that Belito with
- 2:07:12Speaker 20: no experience managing a courtroom.
- 2:07:14Speaker 11: Proceeding.
- 2:07:15Speaker 20: No experience ruling on motions. I watched an interview today.
- 2:07:21Speaker 20: I'm going to send it to you just because you
- 2:07:25Speaker 20: look at Ross. He looks like a leader.
- 2:07:28Speaker 11: He presents like a leader.
- 2:07:29Speaker 8: He talks like a leader.
- 2:07:31Speaker 20: He sounds intelligent and confident. I just watched an interview
- 2:07:35Speaker 20: with Bapolito.
- 2:07:36Speaker 11: I was so embarrassed.
- 2:07:37Speaker 7: I had to shut it off.
- 2:07:39Speaker 20: His body language, his disposition, it was like he was
- 2:07:41Speaker 20: a little kid who knew he didn't belong in the game.
- 2:07:45Speaker 20: And when you watch this video, you are going to,
- 2:07:48Speaker 20: you are going.
- 2:07:49Speaker 2: To, you're going to be in shock. Well, I don't,
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: that might be your impression. Well, that is my impression.
- 2:07:58Speaker 3: Right, it is your impression. But Mark Diaz.
- 2:08:01Speaker 20: Actually— I'm sure he's a fine man, but he's not
- 2:08:04Speaker 20: ready to be a judge.
- 2:08:05Speaker 2: Okay, just sit tight for a minute here. You're not
- 2:08:07Speaker 2: dealing with your husband here. You know, I'm— I'm standing
- 2:08:12Speaker 2: up here. Mark DiApolito is a fine man. I mean,
- 2:08:16Speaker 2: he's a decent human being and he's a decent guy.
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: He's my township administrator. He does a good job with that.
- 2:08:22Speaker 2: So those are.
- 2:08:24Speaker 20: But he doesn't have any experience in the courtroom.
- 2:08:28Speaker 2: Listen, I don't mind people criticizing someone on that, but
- 2:08:31Speaker 2: you can't criticize him over his disposition because he's genuinely
- 2:08:34Speaker 2: a nice person. He's genuinely a good guy.
- 2:08:36Speaker 6: I'm sure he is.
- 2:08:37Speaker 20: But if I go into a courtroom, I want to
- 2:08:38Speaker 20: know that the person who's about to judge me is
- 2:08:42Speaker 20: confident in their judgment that it's opposed to the Constitution
- 2:08:46Speaker 20: and that they know what the hell they're doing.
- 2:08:47Speaker 3: No, I'm judging you.
- 2:08:48Speaker 20: If I ever land in a courtroom, that's what I want.
- 2:08:52Speaker 6: Right?
- 2:08:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I would put you right in Shawshank.
- 2:08:56Speaker 20: And you know what? You know another one that I loved?
- 2:09:01Speaker 20: I really like this girl, and she's in Trumbull, but
- 2:09:04Speaker 20: the more I listen to her, is that Ditchie.
- 2:09:06Speaker 6: Oh, Ditchie, yeah.
- 2:09:08Speaker 7: She's a breath of fresh air. Yep.
- 2:09:11Speaker 3: You like her?
- 2:09:12Speaker 11: I like her a lot, too.
- 2:09:14Speaker 20: And I normally never got into these. And, you know,
- 2:09:17Speaker 20: I think you kind.
- 2:09:18Speaker 2: Of persuaded me a little bit. Well, see, I had
- 2:09:21Speaker 2: a positive influence on you. But when I look at, like, Meacham,
- 2:09:25Speaker 2: why would anybody vote for anybody but Meacham?
- 2:09:28Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:09:29Speaker 20: So now you want to talk about Goofy.
- 2:09:32Speaker 11: Okay.
- 2:09:34Speaker 20: Can I talk about that one?
- 2:09:37Speaker 3: Is it far from me to try to stop you
- 2:09:39Speaker 3: from doing anything?
- 2:09:43Speaker 20: I watched that guy talk, and listen, I don't even
- 2:09:45Speaker 20: agree with everything Meechum does.
- 2:09:47Speaker 11: I know you absolutely love him. I think he's very smart.
- 2:09:51Speaker 20: If he loses to that guy, all hope in the
- 2:09:53Speaker 20: world is lost. Just, I will be done.
- 2:09:59Speaker 2: I will be done.
- 2:10:00Speaker 20: If Meechum loses, can I.
- 2:10:02Speaker 23: Look his name again?
- 2:10:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I understand. On that one, I'll give you an aye-aye, Captain.
- 2:10:07Speaker 7: Oh, come on.
- 2:10:08Speaker 11: That one, that guy, I listened to him talking. One thing,
- 2:10:10Speaker 11: I literally had to just, I had to put my
- 2:10:12Speaker 11: phone down and walk away for a Texas timeout.
- 2:10:16Speaker 20: And then Mark Hanna, I would say, too, again, I've
- 2:10:18Speaker 20: never really looked at these, but what Mark Hanna got
- 2:10:21Speaker 20: in terms of efficiency, and I think it was Dave
- 2:10:25Speaker 20: Johnson who was talking about it. I've been looking at
- 2:10:27Speaker 20: that a lot, too.
- 2:10:27Speaker 13: That's important.
- 2:10:28Speaker 11: Why?
- 2:10:28Speaker 20: Because that's tax dollars.
- 2:10:30Speaker 3: Wasn't Dave Johnson terrific yesterday?
- 2:10:33Speaker 11: Oh, he was very good.
- 2:10:34Speaker 7: He was very good.
- 2:10:35Speaker 23: Very good.
- 2:10:36Speaker 20: And, you know, I disagree with him on how he
- 2:10:38Speaker 20: thinks DeWine's one of the best governors in the world.
- 2:10:40Speaker 11: And I'll tell him that. But I think, you know,
- 2:10:44Speaker 11: he brought a lot of perspective.
- 2:10:46Speaker 7: And he's calling more often. I think he added a
- 2:10:48Speaker 7: lot to your call. You know, he's... Well-versed.
- 2:10:53Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:10:54Speaker 20: And, you know, it's good to get his perspective. And
- 2:10:57Speaker 20: I love the fact, I hope he's right, because I
- 2:11:00Speaker 20: think a lot of us are nervous about this election.
- 2:11:02Speaker 20: But then I saw again today, it looks like somebody
- 2:11:05Speaker 20: in a new poll said Vivek is narrowly winning. So
- 2:11:11Speaker 20: it's like up and down. It's like she's winning by
- 2:11:13Speaker 20: 10 points.
- 2:11:14Speaker 7: Come on. It's all hogwash at this point.
- 2:11:16Speaker 2: The polls are.
- 2:11:19Speaker 2: The polls are nonsense. I mean, I just think a
- 2:11:22Speaker 2: lot of people don't answer them or don't participate in
- 2:11:25Speaker 2: it because it's none of your.
- 2:11:26Speaker 3: Damn business, right?
- 2:11:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 2:11:30Speaker 11: I think the ones who are super into the.
- 2:11:32Speaker 20: Election, they look, but most of the other.
- 2:11:36Speaker 4: People, they're just not even.
- 2:11:38Speaker 3: Button that up for a minute.
- 2:11:39Speaker 2: How about the Christine Oliver endorsement from the indicator?
- 2:11:43Speaker 20: Listen, that was fantastic. And I'm going to tell you
- 2:11:45Speaker 20: right now, across every single candidate running, I have not,
- 2:11:51Speaker 20: and maybe there's somebody that is that I don't.
- 2:11:53Speaker 11: Know of, so I reserve the right.
- 2:11:55Speaker 7: To be wrong here, but nobody will.
- 2:11:58Speaker 11: Outwork that girl.
- 2:12:00Speaker 20: I'm just telling you, she is everywhere all day long,
- 2:12:03Speaker 20: and all she is doing is meeting people and spreading
- 2:12:05Speaker 20: her message and trying to earn and gain their confidence
- 2:12:09Speaker 20: all day long. I mean, it's literally a full-time job.
- 2:12:14Speaker 20: She is working her butt off.
- 2:12:16Speaker 11: If that is even a.
- 2:12:17Speaker 20: Smidget of a sign of how hard to work with
- 2:12:20Speaker 20: the people.
- 2:12:21Speaker 2: A woman brought it to, and I agree with her,
- 2:12:23Speaker 2: you know who's also working her tail off is that fronk.
- 2:12:26Speaker 3: She's running a really good campaign, too.
- 2:12:30Speaker 20: You know what? I don't know much about her.
- 2:12:33Speaker 3: That's pretty important.
- 2:12:33Speaker 6: I don't know much.
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: She's running against both Sherry. uh, the Democrat, but she's
- 2:12:38Speaker 2: a Republican, but she's really, uh, I, I, she's really
- 2:12:42Speaker 2: working hard and she's really, you know, sometimes I look
- 2:12:45Speaker 2: and say, why wouldn't you give somebody, somebody like her
- 2:12:48Speaker 2: a chance? Why, you know, why the same old, same old,
- 2:12:52Speaker 2: you know, I mean, I'm just saying, why wouldn't you
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: give her a chance? She's sometimes, sometimes I think it's
- 2:12:56Speaker 2: time for some of these younger people to, to step
- 2:12:59Speaker 2: to the plate. Uh, With some non-exceptions. You've got to
- 2:13:05Speaker 2: bring something to the plate. It seems to me she
- 2:13:07Speaker 2: brings something to the plate. Pretty impressive campaign that she's.
- 2:13:10Speaker 3: Running, really.
- 2:13:12Speaker 11: Very clean.
- 2:13:13Speaker 20: Very clean campaign. She's just grinding, doing her thing. I
- 2:13:18Speaker 20: know she runs that nonprofit.
- 2:13:20Speaker 11: Very attractive. Carries herself well. I hope she wins.
- 2:13:24Speaker 20: I'm certainly going to vote for her. But then when
- 2:13:28Speaker 20: we go to McNally, and we were talking about the
- 2:13:30Speaker 20: data centers yesterday. And this chick, you know, she voted
- 2:13:34Speaker 20: to give the data centers a.
- 2:13:36Speaker 11: Massive tax break. The worst thing you could possibly do, which.
- 2:13:40Speaker 7: Is, like, why are you laughing?
- 2:13:43Speaker 2: Hey, folks, because there's nothing that makes... I'm laughing because
- 2:13:46Speaker 2: when you say, and this chick, this chick, but go ahead,
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: I love it.
- 2:13:50Speaker 20: I mean, but is she for real? And when she says,
- 2:13:53Speaker 20: Lori McNally for the Valley, like, we'll work for you,
- 2:13:56Speaker 20: I just, like, want to be, like, shaking people, like... Dude,
- 2:14:00Speaker 20: she doesn't go to work now. What do you mean
- 2:14:03Speaker 20: work for you? She doesn't go to work.
- 2:14:06Speaker 5: You have to go to work.
- 2:14:09Speaker 20: I just don't even understand. If she wins, I'm.
- 2:14:11Speaker 7: Going to be.
- 2:14:12Speaker 11: Okay, listen.
- 2:14:13Speaker 20: There are two races that absolutely, I think, are the
- 2:14:16Speaker 20: most important. And that's the commissioner race and Meacham.
- 2:14:19Speaker 11: If that kid wins.
- 2:14:21Speaker 20: And I'm not even– it's not like I have, like,
- 2:14:24Speaker 20: signs in my yard and I go around saying Meacham's
- 2:14:26Speaker 20: the best, Meacham's the best, Meacham's the.
- 2:14:27Speaker 11: Best, because Meacham actually irritates.
- 2:14:29Speaker 20: Me on some of this tax stuff that I think
- 2:14:30Speaker 20: he could actually help us more with.
- 2:14:32Speaker 11: But that kid is a tool.
- 2:14:35Speaker 7: No way.
- 2:14:36Speaker 20: He has zero, zero idea.
- 2:14:38Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 2:14:39Speaker 6: No.
- 2:14:40Speaker 20: Like, that would be a disaster.
- 2:14:42Speaker 2: How about that dude running against Al Catrona?
- 2:14:46Speaker 11: Oh, my God. That– Something's wrong, Ron.
- 2:14:51Speaker 20: I mean, some of these candidates, something's wrong with that guy.
- 2:14:54Speaker 20: There's something wrong with him.
- 2:14:58Speaker 11: There's something wrong with that guy. I can't quite put
- 2:15:01Speaker 11: my finger on it. You might be able to, but
- 2:15:04Speaker 11: something's not right. It's just weird.
- 2:15:07Speaker 9: Weirdness.
- 2:15:08Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:15:10Speaker 23: Oh, God.
- 2:15:11Speaker 11: Well, I mean, it's going to be exciting, I guess.
- 2:15:14Speaker 11: But I'm I'm hoping that I.
- 2:15:16Speaker 2: Tell you, gang, I am enjoying the the boss lady
- 2:15:20Speaker 2: assessment of today's candidates.
- 2:15:24Speaker 20: I mean, because, you know, I mean, you know, some
- 2:15:26Speaker 20: of these candidates, I don't know where.
- 2:15:28Speaker 11: They get them from.
- 2:15:29Speaker 7: You know what I want to do? I want to
- 2:15:30Speaker 7: pretend like.
- 2:15:31Speaker 11: I want to be part of the Democratic Party.
- 2:15:33Speaker 20: Party, and I want to go to one of their
- 2:15:35Speaker 20: meetings and look around the room and see who shows up.
- 2:15:37Speaker 11: I guarantee there are blue haired.
- 2:15:39Speaker 3: But it's harder to put you incognito. I mean, how
- 2:15:43Speaker 3: do I put you.
- 2:15:44Speaker 11: I have to.
- 2:15:44Speaker 2: I've got to put you incognito down for the No
- 2:15:46Speaker 2: Kings rally to throw the crazy net over Fifth Avenue
- 2:15:49Speaker 2: and stand by the boss lady. She's on fire on
- 2:15:56Speaker 2: News Radio 570 WKBN and Ron Verp, Kingdom of Mahoning.
- 2:16:03Speaker 2: Turn on your sound. Weather and Talk Station 570 WKBN.
- 2:16:08Speaker 2: All right. Hang on, boss lady. Let me just check
- 2:16:12Speaker 2: these real quick.
- 2:16:13Speaker 3: Hang on. You're on the air.
- 2:16:16Speaker 20: Hey there.
- 2:16:18Speaker 3: Are you boss lady?
- 2:16:19Speaker 6: Yes.
- 2:16:20Speaker 23: Yes.
- 2:16:20Speaker 20: We've gotten interesting.
- 2:16:22Speaker 2: What are we?
- 2:16:22Speaker 20: How many days away are we now?
- 2:16:23Speaker 5: Wait a minute.
- 2:16:24Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 2:16:24Speaker 3: Hang on.
- 2:16:26Speaker 6: Are you?
- 2:16:26Speaker 20: I'm on.
- 2:16:28Speaker 10: Wait.
- 2:16:28Speaker 2: Hang on a minute.
- 2:16:29Speaker 3: Are you on now?
- 2:16:31Speaker 7: I'm on.
- 2:16:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:16:32Speaker 3: Just hang on a minute. I'm trying to take a call. Hello,
- 2:16:35Speaker 3: you're on the air.
- 2:16:37Speaker 8: You know, it's nice when you get kitchen workers on
- 2:16:41Speaker 8: your program that do more than scoop corn, that they
- 2:16:46Speaker 8: inform us of what's going on in public kitchens.
- 2:16:53Speaker 2: That's right. I mean, wasn't that disgusting? I admire that
- 2:16:58Speaker 2: woman a lot for what she's done. Don't you?
- 2:17:00Speaker 6: I do, too. I do, too. How have you been?
- 2:17:04Speaker 2: I've been well, thank you for asking. But, I mean,
- 2:17:06Speaker 2: to bring that forward and to, I mean, she should
- 2:17:09Speaker 2: be commended. Absolutely. Seem to me.
- 2:17:13Speaker 8: Absolutely she should be.
- 2:17:15Speaker 6: Right.
- 2:17:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's, I don't know what to say about it.
- 2:17:18Speaker 2: Say hi to the boss lady. She's on the other line, Jamo.
- 2:17:22Speaker 6: I follow her on Facebook.
- 2:17:23Speaker 8: We're friends.
- 2:17:25Speaker 2: Oh, excuse me. I didn't know you.
- 2:17:31Speaker 8: We're not intimate friends, but, you know, I'm a follower.
- 2:17:34Speaker 8: I watch her.
- 2:17:35Speaker 6: Very attractive, very well-spoken, you know. I know she's got
- 2:17:39Speaker 6: a dude. It's okay.
- 2:17:41Speaker 8: I like her input and her information.
- 2:17:44Speaker 3: Jesus, for God's sakes, it's not an OnlyFans page.
- 2:17:49Speaker 6: Settle down.
- 2:17:50Speaker 2: Cowboy.
- 2:17:50Speaker 8: So she wants to infiltrate a Democratic rally? There's no way.
- 2:17:56Speaker 8: She's too attractive. They'll spot her in a heartbeat. They'll
- 2:17:59Speaker 8: be like, ah, that's a conservative.
- 2:18:02Speaker 23: That's a Republican.
- 2:18:04Speaker 6: You know, because she doesn't have.
- 2:18:06Speaker 8: Those freak butterfly glasses and her hair is.
- 2:18:09Speaker 20: All one color. I'm going to dye my hair purple.
- 2:18:11Speaker 7: I'm going to dye my hair blue.
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: You'd have to.
- 2:18:13Speaker 20: And I'm going to wear slippers.
- 2:18:15Speaker 11: Slippers.
- 2:18:16Speaker 3: Don't forget.
- 2:18:16Speaker 11: Usually like a Walmart.
- 2:18:18Speaker 2: Like I was walking into Walmart.
- 2:18:19Speaker 3: Don't forget.
- 2:18:21Speaker 8: You'd have to wear rainbow leggings with Crocs.
- 2:18:26Speaker 2: Or pajamas, Jamo. Pajamas.
- 2:18:27Speaker 8: And a free Palestine t-shirt.
- 2:18:31Speaker 6: Even though I don't know that they'll buy it.
- 2:18:34Speaker 2: All right, Jamo. I'm running out of time. I'm running
- 2:18:37Speaker 2: out of time.
- 2:18:37Speaker 6: I know you are.
- 2:18:38Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just running out of time. Jamo, I've
- 2:18:40Speaker 3: had just about enough of you.
- 2:18:42Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 2:18:43Speaker 8: I'll call in another day.
- 2:18:44Speaker 2: All right. Call in tomorrow. Okay. When I got more time. Oh,
- 2:18:48Speaker 2: my God. All right.
- 2:18:50Speaker 3: Well, thank you, boss lady.
- 2:18:51Speaker 2: Put on your pajamas and try to infiltrate the Democrat Party.
- 2:18:57Speaker 20: I'm going to infiltrate the Democratic Party and then I'm
- 2:19:00Speaker 20: going to report back.
- 2:19:01Speaker 2: Right. You got to buy a Subaru and have that.
- 2:19:05Speaker 2: Can't we all get a long sticker on the back
- 2:19:07Speaker 2: of it?
- 2:19:08Speaker 6: Okay.
- 2:19:08Speaker 3: And that kind of stuff.
- 2:19:10Speaker 7: All right.
- 2:19:11Speaker 2: I got you. See you later. It's a boss lady.
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: Ron Verb, Kingdom of Mahoning. Thanks for listening. Sean's next.
