- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York Kate still Mark,
- 0:04Speaker 1: some own show on seven tenor.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, Oh, a lot to get to today. We'll get
- 0:12Speaker 2: to the Kennedy Center. We'll get to de Laney Hall.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We'll get to Colbert the truth is coming out about
- 0:17Speaker 2: his show. We'll get to crazy Jill Biden. We'll get
- 0:20Speaker 2: to the Israel Day Parade. We'll get to La Mayor Race,
- 0:23Speaker 2: we get to the World Cup, and a whole lot
- 0:26Speaker 2: more coming up. Hey, somehow it's only Monday. Look at that.
- 0:30Speaker 2: It's June already. It's June first today. How did that happen?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Remember in the dead of winter, in the blizzards, I said,
- 0:37Speaker 2: don't worry. Spring has come. Don't worry. Spring will be
- 0:39Speaker 2: here before you Now. The problem is fall will be
- 0:42Speaker 2: here before you know it. A winter will be here
- 0:44Speaker 2: before you know it. So a lot to get to today.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Let's just quickly do Iran peace talks going on. They're
- 0:53Speaker 2: working out. They don't like the couple of things in
- 0:56Speaker 2: the deal I ran sense, so they're sending it back.
- 0:58Speaker 2: In the meantime, over the weekend, a couple of missile
- 1:01Speaker 2: strikes back and forth, Iran launching a drone. We knocked
- 1:06Speaker 2: it down. Iran launching a drone at Kuwait. They knocked
- 1:09Speaker 2: it down, a little of that kind of stuff. The
- 1:12Speaker 2: Iranian president resigned, the president, not the new iatola. The
- 1:17Speaker 2: President of Iran resigned. Probably a smart move. I'm I'm
- 1:22Speaker 2: sure his insurance company is thrilled about that. Who wants
- 1:25Speaker 2: to be the president of Iran. If this deal goes bad,
- 1:28Speaker 2: they're going to start a round two of combat. And
- 1:32Speaker 2: as the president said, it's going to be cranked up
- 1:35Speaker 2: about a million notches this time, so he would have
- 1:39Speaker 2: a bomb hit him right on the head. So he
- 1:41Speaker 2: has already resigned. Good move on his part. So you
- 1:46Speaker 2: got all these crazy federal judges, most of them left wing,
- 1:50Speaker 2: kind of kookie federal judges, especially in Washington. They're all
- 1:54Speaker 2: crazy federal a crazy left wing, real Trump hating Trump arrangements.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So a bunch of rulings from a bunch of federal judges.
- 2:03Speaker 2: One of them said, you can't put your name on
- 2:05Speaker 2: the Kennedy Center. You're also ruling you're not allowed to
- 2:09Speaker 2: rebuild the Kennedy Center, which is absolutely ridiculous. It's decaying,
- 2:14Speaker 2: it's decrepid. Some say it's even unsafe about the crumble,
- 2:18Speaker 2: the infrastructure of the plumb everything's about to go needs
- 2:21Speaker 2: to be rebuilt. Now, if you got to rebuild the
- 2:25Speaker 2: Kennedy Center, you know what a good time to do
- 2:26Speaker 2: it might be when you got the greatest builder in
- 2:29Speaker 2: America in the White House who could do it for you.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But now the judge also ruled, well, there's a lot
- 2:35Speaker 2: of rules. Now, this is a Trump hating judge, So
- 2:38Speaker 2: he ruled you can't put your name on the Kennedy Center. Now,
- 2:42Speaker 2: he may have a legal case or he may not
- 2:43Speaker 2: be wrong. Legally, Kennedy Center was created by an Act
- 2:47Speaker 2: of Congress, and if you read the act that they wrote,
- 2:50Speaker 2: it's specifically to honor John F. Kennedy. It's to be
- 2:53Speaker 2: the only memorial in Washington, D C. For John F. Kennedy. Well,
- 2:57Speaker 2: they made it clear in this congressional ruling, this congressional
- 3:01Speaker 2: act that created the Kennedy Center, that it could only
- 3:03Speaker 2: be the Kennedy Center. So the judge may have a
- 3:05Speaker 2: point there when this goes to appeal, that could actually
- 3:08Speaker 2: hold up. But as far as not rebuilding it, well,
- 3:13Speaker 2: the judge, Judge Christopher R. Cooper, again left wing Trump
- 3:18Speaker 2: the arrangement syndrome you know, Harvard Yale, where's the bow tie?
- 3:21Speaker 2: That kind of a deal. But President Trump has apparently
- 3:26Speaker 2: has had enough, said he's done with the Kennedy Center,
- 3:28Speaker 2: not going to rebuild it. Let Congress rebuild it. It
- 3:33Speaker 2: may be childish pouting, but you know, I don't blame
- 3:35Speaker 2: the guy. It give him such a hard time. If
- 3:37Speaker 2: he rebuilds it, it could probably cost near a billion,
- 3:42Speaker 2: maybe seven eight hundred million, could be done in eight
- 3:45Speaker 2: months a year if Congress does it, If the government
- 3:48Speaker 2: does it, it's going to cost twenty five billion, and
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's going to take fifteen years if you're lucky. So
- 3:54Speaker 2: it's not good for the Kennedy Center. But now there's
- 3:57Speaker 2: another you know, there's the mayor Erica two hundred and
- 4:00Speaker 2: fifty celebrations, all kinds of things in Washington, including concerts
- 4:05Speaker 2: and all that. Artists like crazy pulling out of the concerts.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Many of them are like country artists, and a lot
- 4:12Speaker 2: of them are not Trump haters, but they're getting pressured
- 4:15Speaker 2: from Hollywood, the music business, the concert business, the left
- 4:20Speaker 2: wing media types to pull out. So they're pulling out.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So President Trump has also said maybe he'll just he'll
- 4:28Speaker 2: he'll be the entertainment. He can actually draw more than
- 4:30Speaker 2: most of these guys. But then it becomes a political rally.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But we'll see. You know, the president always tweeting and
- 4:40Speaker 2: truth socially and a lot of social media, round the clock,
- 4:44Speaker 2: in the middle of the night, all of that. But
- 4:46Speaker 2: you know who beats him on that is jd. Vance.
- 4:49Speaker 2: If you follow jd Vance tweeting or social media, this
- 4:52Speaker 2: guy tweets like every second. You know, when you're the
- 4:54Speaker 2: vice president United States, you don't have a whole lot
- 4:57Speaker 2: to do. It's basically kind of a no show job.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I mean this one, this vice president, little more to
- 5:01Speaker 2: do because he's involved in negotiations Pakistan and ran all that,
- 5:05Speaker 2: but he just tweets around the clock. Well, if you've noticed,
- 5:09Speaker 2: you haven't heard much from him. In the last week.
- 5:10Speaker 2: The tweeting seemed to stop. It's now occasional tweeting. Apparently
- 5:17Speaker 2: Susie Wiles called him in and had a long talk
- 5:19Speaker 2: with him and said, it's too much tweeting. You're overdoing
- 5:24Speaker 2: it on social media. It's beneath the dignity of your office.
- 5:28Speaker 2: And they kind of explained to him, you're not Benny Johnson,
- 5:31Speaker 2: You're the vice president of the United States is tweet
- 5:34Speaker 2: like a normal person. You're saying, well, but Trump does
- 5:37Speaker 2: it not as much as Vance was. And who's going
- 5:40Speaker 2: to tell Trump. He's not gonna listen anybody. Hey, it's physical.
- 5:44Speaker 2: This was very upsetting for Democrats. You know, the president
- 5:49Speaker 2: gets a physical every year, he gets it every six months.
- 5:51Speaker 2: You go to Walter Reed. You're there for three hours.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It's a full detailed physical examination. Walter Reed. The doctor's
- 5:58Speaker 2: there put out the report. He's seventy nine years old.
- 6:02Speaker 2: He's six three, two hundred and thirty eight pounds. It
- 6:07Speaker 2: could be, it could be it might have shaved a
- 6:11Speaker 2: couple of pounds. Now you could be two thirty eight.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Pulse seventy three beats per minute. That's pretty good. Blood
- 6:19Speaker 2: pressure one oh five over seventy one. That's phenomenal. That's
- 6:23Speaker 2: absolutely perfect. Blood pressure pulse texometer ninety eight percent. That's
- 6:28Speaker 2: very very good, but of course that changes every couple
- 6:31Speaker 2: of minutes. Temperature ninety eight point seven, Okay, perfect. His
- 6:35Speaker 2: cardiac age is approximately fourteen younger years younger than his
- 6:41Speaker 2: chronological age. In other words, he has a very healthy
- 6:44Speaker 2: heart for a guy his age. Neurological exam demonstrated total
- 6:49Speaker 2: normal mental status dermatological. You know, that's the thing with Trump.
- 6:55Speaker 2: You see the swollen ankles, You see the bruises all
- 6:58Speaker 2: over his wrist, and he says that's from shaking hands.
- 7:02Speaker 2: It can be, but it's also you know, when you
- 7:05Speaker 2: get to that age's supposed to take a baby aspirin
- 7:07Speaker 2: every day, which is like eighty one milligrams. The tiny
- 7:10Speaker 2: little baby aspen every day helps thin the blood. You know, Trump,
- 7:13Speaker 2: he's got to overdo everything, so he takes a full
- 7:16Speaker 2: aspirin every day, three hundred and twenty five milligrams. It's
- 7:19Speaker 2: a little too much every day. And one of the
- 7:21Speaker 2: side effects of taking too much aspirin like that is
- 7:24Speaker 2: your hand will bruise. Who get you'll bruise easier. So
- 7:27Speaker 2: all the shaking hands causes him to bruise them. But
- 7:31Speaker 2: they said it's totally benign, nothing to worry about. Cognitive,
- 7:36Speaker 2: physical performance, excellent pulmonary, neurological, overall physical function, President in
- 7:43Speaker 2: excellent health, strong cardiac everything. Very upsetting for the left wing.
- 7:49Speaker 2: They're not happy about this, but okay, so hey, here's
- 7:53Speaker 2: the truth about Stephen Colbert. And they kept hearing that
- 7:56Speaker 2: there was the show was such a disaster that it
- 8:00Speaker 2: was losing about forty million a year, some say forty
- 8:04Speaker 2: to fifty million a year. Well, about a week ago,
- 8:07Speaker 2: the left and the crazy left wing online started to
- 8:11Speaker 2: counter that and they found a financial statement which they posted.
- 8:15Speaker 2: It was a financial statement showing the finances of The
- 8:18Speaker 2: Colbert Show and how it made one hundred million in
- 8:21Speaker 2: profit every year. Well, as we told you last week,
- 8:24Speaker 2: it's a total fake news, fake document, typical internet stuff.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Somebody comes up with a fake document. Everybody in the
- 8:30Speaker 2: left reposts it. It didn't even look like a real
- 8:33Speaker 2: financial statement. It looked like some goofy left wing blogger
- 8:37Speaker 2: drew it up thinking this is what a financial statement
- 8:39Speaker 2: looks like. It's totally false. CBS has put out an
- 8:43Speaker 2: official statement from CBS, absolutely official, confirming the loss. And
- 8:51Speaker 2: this was talking about Byron Allen, who's taken over the
- 8:54Speaker 2: time slot. The difference is Byron Allen will pay for
- 8:57Speaker 2: the time slot. He buys the time from CBS for
- 9:00Speaker 2: fifteen million dollars a year and shows you how network
- 9:05Speaker 2: TV is slipped. Years ago that would have been one
- 9:07Speaker 2: hundred million a year. So it's fifteen million a year
- 9:10Speaker 2: for the hour five nights a week. But here's this
- 9:13Speaker 2: official statement from CBS. We're proud to partner with Byron
- 9:17Speaker 2: Allen on a new business and programming model for late
- 9:20Speaker 2: night that proactively addresses a network day part that was
- 9:25Speaker 2: cost prohibitive to continue. In other words, it was losing
- 9:29Speaker 2: too much Money's here, this is from the actual official
- 9:32Speaker 2: statement from CBS. With this time by model, we have
- 9:37Speaker 2: shifted an hour that was losing roughly forty million a
- 9:41Speaker 2: year annually to fifteen million in profit, a fifty five
- 9:46Speaker 2: million dollars swing. Now putting that out to impress their investors.
- 9:51Speaker 2: So CBS confirming, absolutely confirming Colbert was losing forty million
- 9:57Speaker 2: a year. So New Jersey, I don't know. You always
- 10:02Speaker 2: elect the craziest governors. We should talk. We've got Kathy
- 10:06Speaker 2: Hulkle here, we had Andrew Cuomo, the most left wing
- 10:09Speaker 2: kook of a governor. Uh yeah, so we can't really,
- 10:15Speaker 2: we can't really fall you. But you've got some bad
- 10:17Speaker 2: governors one after another. Who's that last one? Murphy a
- 10:21Speaker 2: useless sort of a character, Mikey Cheryl who caused rioting
- 10:29Speaker 2: at Delaney Hall. This is the detention center in Newark.
- 10:32Speaker 2: It started us a little protesting, Mikey Cheryl and a
- 10:37Speaker 2: couple other Dems, Corey Booker, the Newark mayor, the Menendez's son,
- 10:44Speaker 2: a councilman. They decide, this will be good. We'll weaponize this,
- 10:48Speaker 2: will gin this up, you know, kind of like Minnesota.
- 10:51Speaker 2: It'll hurt Trump, it'll hurt the hurt the Republicans, it'll
- 10:54Speaker 2: hurt the administration. So they decided to gin up the protesting.
- 10:59Speaker 2: They started to play up. The governor herself joined the protesters, picketing,
- 11:02Speaker 2: yelling and screaming, Getting the tvchems brought a lot of
- 11:05Speaker 2: attention to it. So what was the result of that, Well,
- 11:08Speaker 2: Antifa and all the professional agitators, all the violent agitators infiltrated.
- 11:15Speaker 2: They sent the Antifa and those type of groups in.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Now there's guys that finances the George Soros types that
- 11:23Speaker 2: fund all of that to stir up trouble. The other problem.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Now they've made Antifa an actual terrorist organization.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Here, Scott Bessen, President Trump has declared Antifa a domestic
- 11:37Speaker 3: terrorist organization. And anyone who is funding a domestic terrorist
- 11:41Speaker 3: organization should know that you will be examined and you
- 11:46Speaker 3: will be held accountable if you are funding or responsible
- 11:51Speaker 3: they have for these riots, for this violence.
- 11:53Speaker 2: This violence has to stop now. The problem is the
- 11:56Speaker 2: Soros types will filter it. They'll give it to this fund,
- 11:59Speaker 2: to that fund, to this group, to this group. They'll
- 12:01Speaker 2: filter it, launder it through ten other organizations before it
- 12:04Speaker 2: gets there. And the big problem is most of this
- 12:08Speaker 2: is now financed by the Communist Chinese government through a
- 12:12Speaker 2: guy named Neville Roy Singman. He's another Soros only he
- 12:17Speaker 2: is in Shanghai, China. You can't touch him. He's an
- 12:20Speaker 2: American citizen, but he's living in Shanghai. He's spending million,
- 12:25Speaker 2: tens of millions funding this kind of crap, and it's
- 12:28Speaker 2: given to him by the communist Chinese government. They're backing him,
- 12:32Speaker 2: and they love doing this because it screws up America.
- 12:35Speaker 2: They consider us an enemy. They're trying to undermine us
- 12:38Speaker 2: and totally ruin us because it's they think it's good
- 12:41Speaker 2: for them. But it all goes through this guy, Nevill
- 12:44Speaker 2: Roy Sigmund. Again, he's in Shanghai. There's no way to
- 12:46Speaker 2: touch him, totally protected by the Chinese communist government. Now,
- 12:52Speaker 2: Mikey Cheryl start even she started to realize what she did.
- 12:58Speaker 2: She ginned up this stuff, and now you got Antifa
- 13:00Speaker 2: in there. Now it's getting violent and ugly. You got
- 13:03Speaker 2: these ICE officers, law enforcement guys being assaulted ending up
- 13:07Speaker 2: in the hospital. It's a January sixth. This is an
- 13:10Speaker 2: exact exactly January sixth, exactly, because when these guys are
- 13:15Speaker 2: charged in court, they're going to get hit with the
- 13:18Speaker 2: same exact charges. The January sixth guys got hit with trespassing, rioting,
- 13:24Speaker 2: interfering with governmental operations, disrupting the same exact charges. So
- 13:30Speaker 2: Mikey Cheryl trying to back off a little now, she
- 13:32Speaker 2: even brought in the state Police.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Having worked with New Jersey State Police and local law enforcement,
- 13:38Speaker 4: I know how well trained they are the best in
- 13:41Speaker 4: the nation. I trust them to follow our constitution. I
- 13:45Speaker 4: knew it would be better to have them handle the
- 13:47Speaker 4: situation rather than Ice.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Very fine people in New Jersey State Police. They're all
- 13:53Speaker 2: there on the scene look at each other going what
- 13:55Speaker 2: the hell did she get this? Why did she create
- 13:57Speaker 2: the situation? Why do we have to have clean up
- 13:59Speaker 2: per mess? But she caused the whole thing to turn
- 14:02Speaker 2: into rioting.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I will not give ICE the pretext to expand operations
- 14:06Speaker 4: in our state for that reason New Jersey law enforcement
- 14:10Speaker 4: is today establishing a peaceful, protected protest zone in the
- 14:15Speaker 4: area right outside Delaney Hall.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Well, that's what he's supposed to do from the beginning.
- 14:20Speaker 2: He's supposed to set up the area for the protesters
- 14:23Speaker 2: across the street so that it doesn't interfere with operations.
- 14:26Speaker 2: We'll get back to her. She's just an absolute mess.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Israel Israel Day parade yesterday went off very well, that's
- 14:34Speaker 2: the good news. Our crazy left wing kook, anti Semitic
- 14:38Speaker 2: mayor refused to go, which is an ugly thing to do.
- 14:44Speaker 2: But on the other hand, I don't think anybody really
- 14:45Speaker 2: wanted him there, and also I think he must have
- 14:48Speaker 2: if he thought about going, realized he'd get booed the
- 14:51Speaker 2: whole route. What's the point of that. It's not going
- 14:53Speaker 2: to look good for him, so he wouldn't go. All
- 14:55Speaker 2: mayors go to the Israel Day parade. He's the first
- 14:57Speaker 2: not to. But ex mayor showed up up yesterday to march.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Michael Bloomberg was there, Eric Adams, Bruce Blakeman was marching there.
- 15:07Speaker 2: City council Speaker Julie Mennon, who was there, the Police
- 15:12Speaker 2: Commissioner Jessica Tish was there. In fact, she's one of
- 15:16Speaker 2: the Grand Marshals, and she said, you know, beforehand, she said,
- 15:19Speaker 2: the NYPD is going to put the biggest amount of
- 15:23Speaker 2: cops ever in history on a parade. On this parade,
- 15:25Speaker 2: They're going to make sure it's safe. If you're running
- 15:28Speaker 2: a parade, it's a very smart thing to do. Make
- 15:29Speaker 2: the Police Commissioner your grand marshal, because if she's going
- 15:32Speaker 2: to march in the parade right in the middle of this,
- 15:34Speaker 2: she's going to make sure it's very, very safe. So
- 15:37Speaker 2: it worked out pretty well. Now, Mom Donnie not only
- 15:40Speaker 2: was not at the parade, so where was he? So
- 15:43Speaker 2: he should have just stayed inside. You got two choices
- 15:46Speaker 2: to stay inside and disappear for the day, or go
- 15:50Speaker 2: do something very important, like go to some important thing.
- 15:53Speaker 2: You have to to make it look like you were busy. Instead,
- 15:56Speaker 2: he was seen riding a bicycle around New York as
- 16:00Speaker 2: if he was just out on a Sunday taking a
- 16:02Speaker 2: bike ride. It was JFK. Junior, okay, because you always
- 16:07Speaker 2: saw the guy riding a bike. He pared did it
- 16:09Speaker 2: every day. That was his thing, riding a bike. But
- 16:12Speaker 2: if you look at the Mom Donnie video, he's obviously
- 16:14Speaker 2: never ridden a bike in his entire life. You could
- 16:17Speaker 2: see the way he gets on it, the way he
- 16:18Speaker 2: pedals it that he's never been on a bike before. Also,
- 16:21Speaker 2: he's wearing a suit and dress shoes to ride a bike.
- 16:26Speaker 2: It's Sunday. It's a Sunday. You go over a bike ride,
- 16:30Speaker 2: you put it like Nixon with the suit and tie
- 16:32Speaker 2: on the beach. But he's wearing a suit, a dress
- 16:35Speaker 2: shirt as dress shoes and a dark suit to ride
- 16:39Speaker 2: a bike round, looking absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, we'll get back
- 16:43Speaker 2: to him. He wants to take ed Kotch's name off
- 16:46Speaker 2: the bridge. We'll get to that and a whole lot
- 16:48Speaker 2: more coming up. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred
- 16:51Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 16:55Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten. Welcome back to
- 17:00Speaker 2: Mark Simonne Show.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Live from the wo R Life Back studios.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 17:11Speaker 2: zero seven tens number. Let's go to Cynthia in Montreal. Cynthia,
- 17:15Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 17:16Speaker 5: Hi? How are you?
- 17:17Speaker 2: I'm good? Is it still winter up there?
- 17:21Speaker 6: Believe it or not?
- 17:22Speaker 7: How to do?
- 17:22Speaker 6: Is I'm freezing? Cuts? The heat off in my building.
- 17:26Speaker 6: My upper class building has no heat.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And what is the temperature in Montreal today?
- 17:33Speaker 6: It's fifty eight degrees that's not too bad.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I don't mind you having the radio. I don't mind
- 17:39Speaker 2: you having a radio on, but it sounds like it's
- 17:41Speaker 2: on another station. What are you listening to?
- 17:45Speaker 6: No, I'm listening to you on our sideur that car stop.
- 17:50Speaker 6: It's a works up, but I have two of them.
- 17:52Speaker 6: Oh okay, I have a question for you. Yes, love
- 17:56Speaker 6: your show, by the way.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Okay, the question is I'm from You mentioned the website
- 18:02Speaker 6: and you said it was the best for info about

- 18:29Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 18:30Speaker 7: Oh?
- 18:31Speaker 8: Hi, Mark, great show as usually the beginning about legal immigration.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Guys, didn't I tell? You can always tell from the accent.
- 18:40Speaker 2: He's got that New York accent. You can't mis stick.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Let's go to Josh in Westchester, Josh, how you doing.
- 18:48Speaker 8: Mark ls Coler, what was that all about?
- 18:50Speaker 9: I don't understand.
- 18:53Speaker 2: There are there are always two, there's always two in a row.
- 18:56Speaker 2: And he'll got those accents. Now, were we have? We have? Yeah? Yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 2: got they do every time. The only problem is I
- 19:04Speaker 2: don't think they realize I love pap you can it
- 19:07Speaker 2: used to be a regular guest on the show. I
- 19:08Speaker 2: don't think they realized. Like, that's thirty years ago. Nobody
- 19:11Speaker 2: even knows who you're talking about anymore. You gotta update
- 19:14Speaker 2: that a little. Well, let's go to doctor Bob, a
- 19:17Speaker 2: great surgeon in Long Island. Doctor Bob, how you doing?
- 19:21Speaker 10: Yes, I'm walk good to speak you again. Walker. I
- 19:23Speaker 10: was wondering, I never heard the negotiating points with Iran
- 19:26Speaker 10: used by Trump and the Trump people of using a
- 19:32Speaker 10: neutron bomb to irradiate, to bomb the actual uranium that's
- 19:38Speaker 10: been processed and have it radiated so it couldn't be
- 19:41Speaker 10: approached or used for a thousand years.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't. We don't. We don't have to do that,
- 19:46Speaker 2: believe or not. We got a whole team. They're great
- 19:48Speaker 2: at extracting nuclear material and destroying it. Years ago, Kadafi
- 19:52Speaker 2: turned over his nuclear material in Libya. The team went
- 19:54Speaker 2: in there, got it all, wiped it out. It's easy
- 19:57Speaker 2: to destroy it. You can either take it away and
- 19:59Speaker 2: destroy it or destroy it there. But there's simpler ways
- 20:02Speaker 2: to do it. You don't have to use a neutron bomb.
- 20:04Speaker 2: But thanks for Colin. Let's go to Tom and Queen's Tom.
- 20:08Speaker 2: How you doing, hey?
- 20:10Speaker 9: Mark the morning.
- 20:12Speaker 8: Just to follow up with Di Israeli, de Paridam and DAMI,
- 20:15Speaker 8: this report out that he also now wants to drop
- 20:20Speaker 8: Cotch's name off the Queensboro Bridge.
- 20:22Speaker 11: You hear anything about that?
- 20:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we were going to get to that the next door.
- 20:25Speaker 2: There's a movement. It's not just him, it's a bunch
- 20:26Speaker 2: of Democrats and they want to remove Koch's name from
- 20:30Speaker 2: the fifty ninth Street bridge. The argument they make is
- 20:34Speaker 2: that he was horrible in the AIDS crisis and he
- 20:38Speaker 2: was responsible for thousands of gay people dying because of
- 20:41Speaker 2: his bad response to the AIDS crisis. If you look
- 20:44Speaker 2: back and look at the details, he can't really fault Kotch.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I mean, we didn't probably respond in the way we
- 20:50Speaker 2: should have immediately, But it was the same thing with
- 20:52Speaker 2: the coronavirus. You don't know what's going on. Fauci completely
- 20:56Speaker 2: bungled up everything, by the way, he was the guy
- 20:58Speaker 2: in charge of the age response back then. But as
- 21:03Speaker 2: as much as you want to criticize the government, do
- 21:06Speaker 2: you remember the beginning of the pandemic, nobody quite knew
- 21:08Speaker 2: what to do. It takes a while to figure it out.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I mean, the dumbest thing ever done in history was
- 21:13Speaker 2: Cuomo sending patients with the virus into the nursing home.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I mean, that was just murder. That was just insane,
- 21:20Speaker 2: that was irrational. But in the case of couch that, yeah,
- 21:24Speaker 2: a lot of people lost, a lot of people thanks
- 21:26Speaker 2: for calling, but a lot In the case of Kach,
- 21:30Speaker 2: who was totally sympathetic to the problem, it was just
- 21:32Speaker 2: not quite knowing what to do just yet. And then
- 21:35Speaker 2: there were some people that thought. And then when he
- 21:38Speaker 2: did respond, when he got really serious, remember they closed
- 21:41Speaker 2: down the gay bathhouses. Then the gay community got mad
- 21:43Speaker 2: at him. So it was a no win situation for him.
- 21:46Speaker 2: But again, they could have responded better in the beginning.
- 21:49Speaker 2: But that's the reason, mom, Donnie, it's really more of
- 21:54Speaker 2: an excuse. I also think there's a little anti semitism
- 21:56Speaker 2: here with mom dommy the most famous Jewish mayor, and
- 22:00Speaker 2: I think in the case of Mom dying, he's a
- 22:02Speaker 2: lot of anti Semitism involved in this. But they're trying
- 22:05Speaker 2: to get Kocha's name off, the business off the bridge.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Julie men and city council speaker at that same thing
- 22:11Speaker 2: where they were speaking, agreed to take Koche's name off. However,
- 22:16Speaker 2: later she backtracked. Now when she's asked about it, she
- 22:19Speaker 2: said she never never intended to say that, so it
- 22:22Speaker 2: should be ed. Koch was a great, great mayor, and
- 22:25Speaker 2: you can point to all the great baby can A
- 22:28Speaker 2: lot of people will say he saved New York City
- 22:30Speaker 2: financially fiscally when we were about to go under financially. Hey,
- 22:35Speaker 2: we'll get all the latest news, and then when we
- 22:37Speaker 2: come back, we'll talk to the greatest columnist in America,
- 22:40Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin. Coming up next on seven to ten wor.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Mister New York Mars Bone. He's on sevent ten woor.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Well, Michael Goodwin, the finest columnist in America. You're gonna
- 22:55Speaker 2: read him every Sunday and every Wednesday in the New
- 22:58Speaker 2: York Post and then go to New York Post website.
- 23:00Speaker 2: You can read all his columns. They're all up there.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin, how you.
- 23:04Speaker 7: Doing, Good morning, Mark, thank you.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Hey. The Israel Day Parade went off very well yesterday.
- 23:10Speaker 2: That's good news. Uh. You got Mayor Bloomberg, you got
- 23:13Speaker 2: Mayor Adams of course, Uh, Mayor Mom Donnie uh didn't
- 23:18Speaker 2: show up and he was seen riding a bike. And
- 23:20Speaker 2: you could tell by the way he wrote it he's
- 23:21Speaker 2: never ridden a bike before.
- 23:22Speaker 7: So what was what's on a suit to run a bike?
- 23:27Speaker 2: So what do you think the bottom Yeah, there was.
- 23:31Speaker 7: Probably probably a tag on the bike still right for sale?
- 23:36Speaker 2: Yeah, like John Kerry hunting close.
- 23:41Speaker 7: Yeah, so it's really something, you know. The best line
- 23:44Speaker 7: I saw Marco has that he missed the parade, but
- 23:48Speaker 7: he wasn't missed. That kind of summed it up easily.
- 23:54Speaker 2: So uh but what do you what do you think
- 23:58Speaker 2: you think it also went through his head that if
- 23:59Speaker 2: I do March, they'll boo me the whole way, So
- 24:02Speaker 2: that you think that was a factor too.
- 24:06Speaker 7: If I had to read his mind, that may be
- 24:08Speaker 7: part of it. But I think, perhaps maybe even more so,
- 24:13Speaker 7: the fact that his war against Israel was a major
- 24:19Speaker 7: part in his campaign that appealed to the socialist far
- 24:24Speaker 7: less nuttos, and I think that the anti Semitism is
- 24:30Speaker 7: effectively applank in his agenda, and so I think had
- 24:35Speaker 7: he gone, he would have angered many of those who
- 24:39Speaker 7: voted for him, thinking that he was going to be different,
- 24:43Speaker 7: he wasn't going to do this same thing that they
- 24:47Speaker 7: think other mayors have done. And so I think that
- 24:51Speaker 7: may have been probably factored into his decision.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, this anti semitism that you'll infiltrated the party, and
- 25:00Speaker 2: this deep anti semitism, and a guy like mom Donnie,
- 25:03Speaker 2: how do they watch the Holocaust of October seventh and
- 25:07Speaker 2: then think Israel is the villain? How do they convince
- 25:09Speaker 2: themselves of that?
- 25:10Speaker 7: Yeah? You know, markets that's exactly the question that I
- 25:14Speaker 7: think about a lot too, Like what what did you
- 25:18Speaker 7: see in October seventh that would change your mind? What's missing?
- 25:23Speaker 7: Did you watch the videos? Did you watch that stuff?
- 25:28Speaker 7: Who else takes hostages and holds them in tunnels and
- 25:33Speaker 7: for months and months and years? Who else does that?
- 25:38Speaker 7: That's that's a brutal, that's not war, that's terrorism. And
- 25:44Speaker 7: I think that, you know, Mamdanie has kind of in
- 25:48Speaker 7: some way politically has boxed himself in to this musician,
- 25:54Speaker 7: and I don't think it's going to get better for him.
- 25:56Speaker 7: I think it's going to get worse. I think it's
- 25:59Speaker 7: one of those things that will sort of designate him
- 26:06Speaker 7: is out of the mainstream. And I think that kind
- 26:09Speaker 7: of thing over time really weighs on your popularity. It
- 26:15Speaker 7: weighs on the cooperation you get from other people in
- 26:18Speaker 7: public life. I mean, even Hoko, who is really his
- 26:23Speaker 7: biggest enabler. She went to the parade. So I think
- 26:29Speaker 7: that he's on a losing course with that.
- 26:32Speaker 12: And it's it's, as I say, it's it's easy to
- 26:36Speaker 12: modify in a way that makes you a better mayor,
- 26:40Speaker 12: but instead he just keeps.
- 26:42Speaker 7: You know that line when you dug yourself into a hole,
- 26:46Speaker 7: drop the shovel. He just keeps digging.
- 26:49Speaker 2: And but the difference between him and Deblasio, you know,
- 26:52Speaker 2: de Blasio ran as a crazy left wing socialist, but
- 26:56Speaker 2: once he got in office, he basically was hiding at
- 26:59Speaker 2: that cafe in Brooklyn, didn't bother anybody.
- 27:01Speaker 7: But yeah, it was too lazy to start a revolution.
- 27:07Speaker 2: So but mom, Donnie, it's not a political thing with him.
- 27:11Speaker 2: It's real hatred of the Jews. Of Israel and the
- 27:14Speaker 2: Jewish people, isn't it?
- 27:16Speaker 10: It seems it is.
- 27:17Speaker 7: I mean and guys, I wrote on the column he
- 27:20Speaker 7: said during the campaign, I will not march, and he
- 27:25Speaker 7: also said he would arrest prentision that comes to New
- 27:30Speaker 7: York on then I SEC and International Criminal Court, which
- 27:35Speaker 7: in the United States does not recognized. So there's no
- 27:39Speaker 7: ground to that. So this is like boob bait for
- 27:42Speaker 7: the Bubbas, and it's a way I think keeping his
- 27:48Speaker 7: followers engaged and locked into him because there's nowhere else
- 27:53Speaker 7: to go on issues like this.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Hey, what is this thing he's now talking about pushing
- 27:58Speaker 2: this movement to get ed his name off the bridge.
- 28:02Speaker 2: They said it was mishandling the AIDS crisis, but that
- 28:04Speaker 2: doesn't pass the smell test. What is that really about?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Is that anti Semitism?
- 28:10Speaker 7: Well, there could be attende to that, to Mark, because
- 28:14Speaker 7: this is an old Villais group that hated God for
- 28:18Speaker 7: all kinds of reasons and this was one of them.
- 28:22Speaker 7: And so Mamdani answered yes on the questionnaire during the campaign.
- 28:28Speaker 7: I think it would be very interesting to see if
- 28:32Speaker 7: he follows through on that. Already. Julie Mennon, the speaker
- 28:36Speaker 7: of the City Council. Apparently she also answered yes, but
- 28:41Speaker 7: she told the New York Post that no, no, no, no,
- 28:44Speaker 7: I'm not for that. So it's not clear how much
- 28:48Speaker 7: weight Mamdani will attach to this answer. While he was
- 28:53Speaker 7: running and Nowady's a mayor, does he really want to
- 28:56Speaker 7: take that on? Is that something that he thinks will
- 29:00Speaker 7: help him get his agenda a cross or will it
- 29:04Speaker 7: be a distraction? I think it's the ladder, But I
- 29:07Speaker 7: clearly don't have any insight into his own mind. I mean,
- 29:11Speaker 7: because if I did, I go tell him, don't do
- 29:14Speaker 7: ninety percent of the thing you're doing.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, you know in Los Angeles they got a
- 29:19Speaker 2: crazy left wing, ridiculous mayor screwing up the whole city,
- 29:23Speaker 2: and it looks like the opponent, Pratt, is pulled ahead
- 29:26Speaker 2: of her in the real pulse slightly. Do you think
- 29:28Speaker 2: maybe we're at the end of this cycle of crazy
- 29:31Speaker 2: left wing mayors?
- 29:33Speaker 7: You know, Mark, that's a wonderful way to put it,
- 29:36Speaker 7: And I certainly hope so. I don't say, I can't
- 29:40Speaker 7: say I think so, but it would be great. I mean,
- 29:43Speaker 7: you look at what's happened to Chicago, you know, look
- 29:47Speaker 7: at the Boston any day. The insanity is going on
- 29:52Speaker 7: in Boston with a left winger. And so you see
- 29:56Speaker 7: these Saints and always Democrat who have gone left, and
- 30:01Speaker 7: when they get these jobs, they're not capable of doing them.
- 30:06Speaker 7: They're activists, they're not really governors in that sense, and
- 30:10Speaker 7: they try to bring this activist agenda into city hall
- 30:15Speaker 7: and state houses and then get worse, dramatically worse or citizens.
- 30:21Speaker 7: That's why you're seeing this light from all these blue
- 30:25Speaker 7: cities and blue states. It's not just New York. It's
- 30:28Speaker 7: really around the country where it's California and Los Angeles
- 30:34Speaker 7: or you know, Chicago. People leave for more sane governments.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Kathy Hokele doubling down on anti ice, spanning masks,
- 30:46Speaker 2: all this stuff. What do you think is gonna happen
- 30:48Speaker 2: in November? Bruce Blakeman, brilliant guy and a very strong candidate.
- 30:52Speaker 2: What do you think will happen in November?
- 30:55Speaker 8: Look?
- 30:55Speaker 7: I think right now he's got a lot of work
- 30:58Speaker 7: to do, and I think it's not beyond the realm
- 31:02Speaker 7: of the possible that he could win. I mean, huckle
- 31:07Speaker 7: is not a popular governor. The left is happy because
- 31:12Speaker 7: she just does whatever they tell you. She doesn't really
- 31:16Speaker 7: have a thought of her own. She's outsourced or bringing
- 31:20Speaker 7: to the far left. And so I think that this
- 31:25Speaker 7: is the kind of moment where somebody can pierce.
- 31:29Speaker 5: You know, the.
- 31:31Speaker 7: Wall around the government and say, look, we can do
- 31:35Speaker 7: it a lot better. And so I think there's no
- 31:38Speaker 7: shortage of issues for Blakeman to go to work on.
- 31:43Speaker 7: And I think that if you start to see some
- 31:47Speaker 7: movement in the polls in his favor. This has been
- 31:51Speaker 7: back and forth so far that you see a steady,
- 31:54Speaker 7: continuing climb, then I think, do you really see the
- 31:59Speaker 7: pressure on her or and then shall have to decide
- 32:02Speaker 7: whether climb back into the leftist cocoon with Mamdani and
- 32:08Speaker 7: with the legislature, or whether she's going to try to
- 32:11Speaker 7: be a governor for everybody.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he's speaking of governors.
- 32:15Speaker 7: You know.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Andrew Como now does a radio show. I think I'm
- 32:18Speaker 2: the only listener.
- 32:19Speaker 7: But I do watch the Sunday shows too. I'm really grateful.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Yeah I do that too. But if you listen to me.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Talked about how he was a moderate Democrat, a very
- 32:30Speaker 2: moderate the governor. He talks about how this is terrible.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Nobody said anything about Biden. Everything he's guilty of he
- 32:37Speaker 2: now denies. What kind of strategy is that.
- 32:41Speaker 7: Yeah, Look, I think he made a big mistay and
- 32:44Speaker 7: it's contributes and continuation of this campaign, and I think
- 32:48Speaker 7: that's why he lost. Had he, I think, been more
- 32:52Speaker 7: forthcoming about the nursing home disaster and all of the
- 32:58Speaker 7: bills that he passed that led to some of the
- 33:02Speaker 7: Colonel Justice stuff and at taxes, the electric utility issues
- 33:08Speaker 7: and you know, the greenhouse gases. I mean, had he
- 33:12Speaker 7: approved tracking, for instance, New York's economy would have been
- 33:17Speaker 7: better and the utility prices would have been lower. So
- 33:21Speaker 7: he made so many mistakes, but he can never own
- 33:24Speaker 7: up to them, and I think that was his ultimate
- 33:27Speaker 7: failing and that's why he did not win a campaign
- 33:31Speaker 7: he should have won.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Well, Michael Goodwin, great stuff. You can read his column
- 33:36Speaker 2: every Sunday and every Wednesday in the New York Post,
- 33:40Speaker 2: and you can go to New York Bus website. You can
- 33:41Speaker 2: read all his columns. They're all up there and all brilliant.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin, thanks for being.
- 33:46Speaker 7: With us, my plasure, Mark, I just go quickly. You
- 33:50Speaker 7: read all my columns except for the next two weeks.
- 33:53Speaker 7: There's I'm gone on vacation.
- 33:55Speaker 2: What you can't do that? What am I going to
- 33:58Speaker 2: do on Sunday? What am I going to do on Wednesday?
- 34:01Speaker 2: All right, well, thanks for the warning. We'll talk to you.
- 34:04Speaker 2: We can you still talk to us or you'll be away.
- 34:08Speaker 7: I'll be out of pocket.
- 34:10Speaker 2: All right. We'll try to get through two weeks without you,
- 34:12Speaker 2: but have a great vacation. We'll talk again.
- 34:15Speaker 7: Thank you, nice, Thanks, take.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Care, Hey, don't forget coming up at noon, Buck Sexton
- 34:20Speaker 2: and Klay Travis love listening to them every day. And
- 34:23Speaker 2: then three o'clock you got the most listen to radio
- 34:25Speaker 2: show in America. Sean Handy got Jesse Kelly at six
- 34:29Speaker 2: and a great show Jimmy Fayla, What a funny show.
- 34:32Speaker 2: It's every night at nine on seven to ten WR.
- 34:36Speaker 13: We're listening to the Mark Simone SHOWR.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Chuck here, hang yup. Stock market down a little, but
- 34:50Speaker 2: it's still over fifty thousand. It's near fifty one thousand,
- 34:53Speaker 2: which is it was the all time record, which we
- 34:55Speaker 2: set last week. Oil prices about there was a little
- 35:00Speaker 2: back and forth strikes I ran in the US firing
- 35:03Speaker 2: some missiles over the weekend. Some oil prices now up
- 35:07Speaker 2: about seven dollars ninety four dollars a gown, still way
- 35:10Speaker 2: down from where they were two weeks ago. Hey, after
- 35:14Speaker 2: the news, got a lot to get to. We'll get
- 35:16Speaker 2: to Platner in Maine, and what's gonna happen there. We'll
- 35:20Speaker 2: get to La the mayoral race. We'll get Hey, we'll
- 35:22Speaker 2: get to the World Cup. The World Cup coming to
- 35:25Speaker 2: New York. This is gonna not be as great as
- 35:27Speaker 2: you think. Well, we'll get to it after the news.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I'm here every day ten to noon, Mark Simone back
- 35:34Speaker 2: right after the news on seven to ten WR.
- 35:38Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show, Live from the WR Life
- 35:42Speaker 1: Back studios.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Well, hey, look at that. Suddenly it's June first, It's June. Now,
- 35:48Speaker 2: a lot to get to this hour. Do you know
- 35:51Speaker 2: what dot cake is? This is the hottest thing to
- 35:55Speaker 2: eat in America. Dot cake is the hottest thing on Instagram.
- 35:59Speaker 2: It's also the stupidest thing. We'll get to that later
- 36:02Speaker 2: in the hour. We'll explain it all to you. Now,
- 36:05Speaker 2: the big news of the day, CBS puts out an
- 36:07Speaker 2: official statement confirming Colbert was losing forty million dollars a year.
- 36:13Speaker 2: The show a disaster, losing forty million a year. Don't
- 36:16Speaker 2: let anybody tell you otherwise. Absolutely confirmed by CBS official statement.
- 36:21Speaker 2: So you know, in Maine, they got this crazy race.
- 36:26Speaker 2: They got this guy Platiner running, and first it comes
- 36:31Speaker 2: out that he has a big, huge Nazi tattoo right
- 36:34Speaker 2: on his chest. And it turns out it's not even
- 36:38Speaker 2: just a regular Nazi tattoo. It's a special SS tattoo.
- 36:45Speaker 2: It's a division of the SS that ran the death camps.
- 36:47Speaker 2: It's like the most evil tattoo you could possibly have
- 36:51Speaker 2: on yourself. And it's not a little one on his arm.
- 36:54Speaker 2: It's a big, huge one in the middle of his chest.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Apparently he spent a lot of money trying to get
- 36:58Speaker 2: it off his chest, but for eighteen years he loved
- 37:02Speaker 2: having it there. Again, it's a big tattoo in the
- 37:05Speaker 2: middle of his chest. You can't miss it. I assume
- 37:08Speaker 2: the guy takes a shower every now and then it
- 37:09Speaker 2: looks in the mirror. It's right there. You can't miss it.
- 37:11Speaker 2: So he had it there. When asked to explain why
- 37:14Speaker 2: he got such an evil tattoo, he came up with
- 37:17Speaker 2: some ridiculous explanation. He's got all kinds of problems. This Platiner.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Maine is kind of a different place nowadays. It's not
- 37:26Speaker 2: a big population in Maine, so enough New Yorkers are
- 37:29Speaker 2: enough outsiders moving there that are left wing kooks. It
- 37:33Speaker 2: can change the balance of the voting pretty fast. So
- 37:38Speaker 2: he looked like he had a chance to win. He's
- 37:40Speaker 2: got the Democratic nomination. Although there's so many things coming
- 37:45Speaker 2: out against this guy. I hear that behind the scenes
- 37:49Speaker 2: major Democrats are trying to get him out. It is possible.
- 37:53Speaker 2: You have until sometime in July to replace him as
- 37:57Speaker 2: the nominee. Don't be surprised if that happens in the
- 38:00Speaker 2: next couple of weeks. If they get him out. He's
- 38:01Speaker 2: now trying hard to stay in the race. The other thing,
- 38:04Speaker 2: he's got caught on some hookup site texting sexting with
- 38:10Speaker 2: six different women while he's married. Now, it's not a
- 38:16Speaker 2: crime if you want to sex with a bunch of women.
- 38:18Speaker 2: In fact, if I had a choice between being a
- 38:21Speaker 2: senator and sexting with women, I'd rather do that. It
- 38:23Speaker 2: sounds like more fun. Who wants to sit in the
- 38:26Speaker 2: Senate all day and go through bills and legislation. But
- 38:30Speaker 2: it's pretty bad now. Even Dave Portnoy has jumped in
- 38:33Speaker 2: on this Portnite writing, Not caring about him wheeling six
- 38:38Speaker 2: chicks at once when he was married, that's your choice.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Not caring that he pretends to be a populis when
- 38:44Speaker 2: he went to one of the richest private prep schools
- 38:47Speaker 2: in America. That's your choice. Not caring that he went
- 38:51Speaker 2: to war saying he always wanted to kill people, and
- 38:53Speaker 2: that's your choice. Not caring he went to work for
- 38:57Speaker 2: Blackwater after serving and now calls the army very dumb.
- 39:01Speaker 2: That's your choice. Not caring that he made fun of
- 39:04Speaker 2: purple heart recipients, that's your choice. Not caring that he
- 39:08Speaker 2: masturbates in porta potties. That's your choice. Oh, I didn't
- 39:14Speaker 2: know about that one, all right, Not caring I'm editing
- 39:19Speaker 2: out words here, Not caring that he's put awful things
- 39:22Speaker 2: on line that he had to delete horrible, horrible comments
- 39:25Speaker 2: in the past. That's your choice, but that important noise is.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Not caring that he is a Nazi is your choice.
- 39:34Speaker 2: But if you support him and promote him, don't ever
- 39:36Speaker 2: lecture anybody about the moral high ground again, because you're
- 39:40Speaker 2: a blank blank blank blank, Yeah, the Nazi part should
- 39:44Speaker 2: have wiped him out. That's what today's Democratic Party has become.
- 39:48Speaker 2: The Nazi tattoo didn't wipe him out. And again it's
- 39:51Speaker 2: not a little Nazi tattoo on its arm. It's an
- 39:54Speaker 2: SS death Camp tattoo about five inches in di amateur
- 40:00Speaker 2: right in the middle of his chest. That didn't disqualify him.
- 40:03Speaker 2: But it's just the drip drip drip of scandals coming
- 40:06Speaker 2: out more and more. But these Democrats are crazy. You
- 40:10Speaker 2: know that Roe Kanna. He's like the Indian Adam Schiff.
- 40:13Speaker 2: I mean, just the crazy. Listen, I understand if you
- 40:17Speaker 2: got to support this guy. He's the nominee. So Bernie
- 40:20Speaker 2: Sanders supports him, Elizabeth Warren supports him. But they're fellow
- 40:23Speaker 2: New England, you know, politicians. But ConA, No, Conna's from California,
- 40:28Speaker 2: no reason he had to jump in there. He not
- 40:30Speaker 2: only supported him, he announced he's proudly supporting him. Proudly
- 40:35Speaker 2: supporting a Nazi, an actual Nazi who has posted the
- 40:40Speaker 2: worst evil things online, who's masturbating in porta potties, who's
- 40:45Speaker 2: sexting and texting, he proudly supports him. It's a little crazy,
- 40:51Speaker 2: all right. We're hearing that Josh Shapiro, governor Pennsylvania's a
- 40:54Speaker 2: pretty good guy, pretty common sense, reasonable Democrat. A lot
- 40:57Speaker 2: of people think all this craziness will die down by
- 41:00Speaker 2: the time twenty twenty eight rolls around, and that they'll
- 41:03Speaker 2: be looking for a common sense Bill Clinton type of
- 41:06Speaker 2: a Democrat and that Josh Shapiro could be high on
- 41:09Speaker 2: that list. But apparently, and he's kind of, you know,
- 41:13Speaker 2: quietly making moves for twenty twenty eight. But apparently he's
- 41:17Speaker 2: been told by Democratic leaders, real party leaders, you're never
- 41:22Speaker 2: going to get elected because you're Jewish. It can't happen. Now,
- 41:25Speaker 2: that's quite a bigoted, ugly thing to say, but that's
- 41:29Speaker 2: the Democrats, and apparently they've been telling them that privately.
- 41:33Speaker 2: So in Los Angeles, where you got this kooky left wing,
- 41:38Speaker 2: horrible mayor who's helped destroy Los Angeles. It's an absolute
- 41:42Speaker 2: disaster zone, but it's Democratic stuff. So you know, she's
- 41:47Speaker 2: still the front runner. Everything, but Spencer Pratt comes along
- 41:51Speaker 2: brilliant social media. Now there's public polls that show one
- 41:56Speaker 2: thing or another, but don't go buy those public poles.
- 41:58Speaker 2: The real polls, the serious, behind the scenes internal polls.
- 42:01Speaker 2: McLaughlin and other show Pratt has now taken the lead,
- 42:06Speaker 2: only by a point or two, but he's taken the lead.
- 42:09Speaker 2: It's razor thin. The primary is tomorrow. A close third
- 42:15Speaker 2: place is the socialist nit Yaama And that's la all right,
- 42:22Speaker 2: that's what happens. Now. The World Cup is coming and
- 42:28Speaker 2: if you look online, the cheapest ticket he gets like
- 42:31Speaker 2: forty five hundred bucks. I mean, it's absolutely ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Prices are through the roof for the World Cup. However,
- 42:41Speaker 2: I don't know this is going to hold up. You know,
- 42:44Speaker 2: a lot of people love soccer, well, not a lot
- 42:46Speaker 2: of people. Plenty of people love soccer. But if you'll notice,
- 42:48Speaker 2: it's mostly immigrants, people from other countries because they grew
- 42:51Speaker 2: up with soccer. It's not an American thing. Soccer. I
- 42:55Speaker 2: know kids are now playing it in school, but it's
- 42:57Speaker 2: not an American it's not football. It's not the NFL,
- 43:01Speaker 2: it's not the Knicks, it's not the Yankees, it's not
- 43:04Speaker 2: mainstream is popular. So if I'm looking at this survey
- 43:09Speaker 2: for the World Cup, fifty four percent of New York
- 43:12Speaker 2: has no interest. Fifty four the majority of New Yorkers
- 43:16Speaker 2: have no interest in the World Cup. It's mostly and
- 43:19Speaker 2: you see all these people spending a ton of money
- 43:21Speaker 2: for the tickets, the hotels, but these are mostly foreign people.
- 43:24Speaker 2: The World Cup is like the Olympics, wherever it is,
- 43:27Speaker 2: big money. People from all over the world show up.
- 43:29Speaker 2: So you'll get that, and that's good. They'll come to
- 43:32Speaker 2: New York and throw a lot of cash around, but
- 43:35Speaker 2: they may not get their ratings. They think they're going
- 43:37Speaker 2: to get them. Next, the viewership, they think they're going
- 43:39Speaker 2: to get. Now, one thing that one group that is
- 43:42Speaker 2: thrilled about this the hooker industry. The escorts say demand
- 43:47Speaker 2: has surged through the roof that they're already being booked
- 43:52Speaker 2: for World Cup days. These big high rollers are coming
- 43:56Speaker 2: from all over the place. Many of the escorts are
- 43:59Speaker 2: going to be charging ten thousand a day because there's
- 44:01Speaker 2: such demand for the top escorts ten thousand a day.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Some say, many of these foreign you know, Chics and whatever,
- 44:14Speaker 2: these foreign high rollers that are coming in, they not
- 44:17Speaker 2: only are hiring them, they want what's called full kink,
- 44:22Speaker 2: full kink centered services. What is that exactly? Hey, don't ask,
- 44:30Speaker 2: don't ask ten thousand a day New Jersey based escort.
- 44:36Speaker 2: So she's already pocketed several three thousand dollars deposits. You
- 44:41Speaker 2: got to give a deposit for this from soccer fans.
- 44:44Speaker 2: June is filling up quickly. It's gonna be a very,
- 44:47Speaker 2: very very busy month. Hey, I watched at ABC Sunday Show.
- 44:51Speaker 2: I'm the only one that still watches it. But they
- 44:55Speaker 2: got this panel of Trump Arrangement syndrome characters, Donna Brazil,
- 45:00Speaker 2: Chris Christie, and they say the craziest things. You know.
- 45:04Speaker 2: They try to act like they're not total hypocrites, but
- 45:08Speaker 2: they look ridiculous. So they're asking Christy about Donald Trump's
- 45:12Speaker 2: planning these massive Fourth of July parties celebrations for Washington
- 45:17Speaker 2: for the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. And Christy goes
- 45:19Speaker 2: through this whole nonsense about that that's done. No, he
- 45:23Speaker 2: should not be doing that. He said, every town is
- 45:26Speaker 2: having a Fourth of July celebration, every town. There's no
- 45:29Speaker 2: reason for it to be in Washington. Well, that's insane.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Every town also has Fourth of July fireworks. Every town,
- 45:36Speaker 2: every small town, every suburb, they all get their Fourth
- 45:38Speaker 2: of July fireworks. That doesn't mean you don't do them
- 45:40Speaker 2: in Washington. It's a big event. Every year the Washington
- 45:44Speaker 2: d C. Fire, So of course it's Washington, d C.
- 45:47Speaker 2: The nation's capital. Of course you have to have a
- 45:49Speaker 2: two hundred and fiftieth birthday celebration. So then yesterday the
- 45:55Speaker 2: other Panels don in Brazil, they're talking about Jill Biden,
- 45:58Speaker 2: who looks at absolutely ridiculous with her crazy, lying, rotten,
- 46:05Speaker 2: lying comments about that she's got a book out. She's
- 46:07Speaker 2: trying to promote the book, so that's why she's out
- 46:10Speaker 2: there all of a sudden. What'd you think when you
- 46:12Speaker 2: saw the debate and he didn't know what he was
- 46:14Speaker 2: saying and he sounded like a frozen vegetable, And she said, oh,
- 46:17Speaker 2: I thought he was having and this is it.
- 46:18Speaker 14: I wasn't horrified.
- 46:20Speaker 2: I was frightened because I had never ever seen Joe
- 46:25Speaker 2: like that before or since.
- 46:29Speaker 8: Never since, yes, or he's never.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Seen never now. This is of course, is a total lie.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Anybody that was around him will tell you he was
- 46:37Speaker 2: like that every day, and there were many days where
- 46:40Speaker 2: he was much worse. She was married to him, so
- 46:43Speaker 2: if everybody else saw it behind the scenes, obviously she saw.
- 46:46Speaker 2: So she's just out and outlying. So on the Sunday Show,
- 46:49Speaker 2: they asked Donna Brazil, what about that? She said, quote,
- 46:53Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about Joe Biden right now.
- 46:57Speaker 2: This is a Donna Brazil, A nice woman, but a
- 46:59Speaker 2: big mouth. I blab of mouth talk about anything. Suddenly
- 47:03Speaker 2: she didn't. She said, I do not want to talk
- 47:05Speaker 2: about Jill Biden right now. She said, Donna Brazil will
- 47:08Speaker 2: not focus on the past. Donna Brazil wants to focus
- 47:12Speaker 2: on the future. Donna Brazil will never focus on the past. Meantime,
- 47:16Speaker 2: when they ask her a Trump question, she'll rattle off
- 47:18Speaker 2: everything he ever did for thirty years, everything in the past. Hey,
- 47:22Speaker 2: the Knicks, when is it Thursday night? Opening a game
- 47:25Speaker 2: is Thursday? It's Wednesday. Oh, Wednesday night the Knicks. Is
- 47:30Speaker 2: it in New York? Yeah, it's in the oh, San Antonio.
- 47:34Speaker 2: See how much I followed. I'm right on top of everything.
- 47:37Speaker 2: So San Antonio. And then the next week it comes
- 47:40Speaker 2: to New York. Next week it comes to New York.
- 47:43Speaker 2: There'll be games in New York. Mayor Mom Donnie says
- 47:45Speaker 2: he'll be there. Can't go to Israel Day Parade, of
- 47:47Speaker 2: course if you're such an anti semid but he will go.
- 47:52Speaker 2: He he has been the Knicks games president, Trump said
- 47:56Speaker 2: he'll fly in for it. Most likely he'll be in
- 47:59Speaker 2: the prime. It's sweet there, but probably next to mom,
- 48:02Speaker 2: Donnie and Kathy. Hokle of Churus ridiculously tried to claim
- 48:08Speaker 2: Trump is not a Knicks fan, that he's just saying that. Well,
- 48:12Speaker 2: thousands of pictures of him sitting at Nicks games are
- 48:14Speaker 2: coming up, videos are coming up. In fact, there's one
- 48:17Speaker 2: you can see it up on my Twitter. I forgot
- 48:19Speaker 2: about this. Remember in one game years ago, Charles Oakley
- 48:23Speaker 2: is running and he accidentally falls into the seats and
- 48:25Speaker 2: falls on top of Donald Trump. It's a it was
- 48:29Speaker 2: a classic moment. Then they interview him afterwards. So he's
- 48:32Speaker 2: always been around the Knicks hocal looking absolutely ridiculous. Hey
- 48:36Speaker 2: do you ever put those air tags in your suitcase
- 48:39Speaker 2: or you know, it's a little disc, It's like the
- 48:41Speaker 2: size of a quarter. Apple makes them. It's an air tag.
- 48:46Speaker 2: It's got a GPS in it. So let's say you
- 48:48Speaker 2: put it in your suitcase. On your iPhone, you can
- 48:51Speaker 2: see where your suitcase is at all times. So people
- 48:54Speaker 2: are putting them in their luggage now when they travel.
- 48:58Speaker 2: So look at this guy. He got no big fight
- 49:00Speaker 2: with Delta and they tried to claim his suitcase was
- 49:04Speaker 2: one place, but he looked at the air tag and
- 49:06Speaker 2: showed him where it really was. And it turned out
- 49:08Speaker 2: Delta was lying to him, just out and out lying
- 49:12Speaker 2: to him. So because he had that air tag, he
- 49:15Speaker 2: was able to find it. And then there's other people
- 49:18Speaker 2: have posting these things about. In fact, one guy they
- 49:21Speaker 2: lost his luggage, so he's watching it on the air tag.
- 49:24Speaker 2: It went to five different cities until he was able
- 49:28Speaker 2: to tell the airline where it was and they got
- 49:29Speaker 2: it back from him. But that air tag, it's they're about,
- 49:31Speaker 2: I don't know, thirty forty dollars. Great thing to have. Also,
- 49:37Speaker 2: let's say you don't trust your husband, you open up
- 49:41Speaker 2: the trunk of his car. You throw the air tag
- 49:43Speaker 2: in there, or you stick it under the seat or something,
- 49:45Speaker 2: and that way you can see where that car is
- 49:47Speaker 2: it all that kind of stuff. It sounded crazy, this
- 49:50Speaker 2: air tag, this little disc go why would they come
- 49:52Speaker 2: out with that. They sell millions of them, millions of them.
- 49:56Speaker 2: There's so many uses for it. You can put it.
- 49:59Speaker 2: It's a little thick, but you could put it in
- 50:01Speaker 2: your wallet. If that way you'll always know where it is.
- 50:03Speaker 2: You can put it in your purse, you'll always know
- 50:04Speaker 2: where it is. I think you ever go to the
- 50:10Speaker 2: coat room you're leaving the restaurant. Now, I don't mean
- 50:13Speaker 2: to sound sexist, but a man reaches in his pocket,
- 50:16Speaker 2: here's my checkout, you know, my claim ticket for the
- 50:19Speaker 2: coat room. But a lot of times the woman will
- 50:22Speaker 2: be looking through that purse for forty minutes and can't
- 50:24Speaker 2: find that. So maybe that's what Apple should invent next
- 50:29Speaker 2: coatroom claim checks that have air tags built into them
- 50:34Speaker 2: so they can find that ticket faster. Hey, you know
- 50:38Speaker 2: Bill Gates with that look, you know the sweater, the
- 50:42Speaker 2: rumpled look, all of that. It looks like, man, that's
- 50:45Speaker 2: Bill Gates. Well, it turns out this guy, a lot
- 50:48Speaker 2: of these guys are just secretly plotting. Everything's everything's a plot,
- 50:52Speaker 2: everything's a scheme. So apparently that look was designed by
- 50:56Speaker 2: a team of consultants. People that used to work there
- 51:00Speaker 2: are revealing a team of consultants designed his look. They
- 51:04Speaker 2: had special customized mannequins where they tested out the outfits.
- 51:08Speaker 2: They were looking deliberately for the most boring outfits. He
- 51:12Speaker 2: thought originally that he should look like mister Rogers. That's
- 51:15Speaker 2: why the sweater you never see him in a jacket
- 51:18Speaker 2: unless he has to. But in day to day left
- 51:20Speaker 2: always a sweater, a little rumpled, certain type of sweater, drab,
- 51:23Speaker 2: boring color. But apparently wanted to look like mister Rogers.
- 51:26Speaker 2: He felt that that would make him look kind and
- 51:30Speaker 2: approachable instead of a guy secretly trying to maneuver the
- 51:34Speaker 2: whole world all over the place. But Gates team toiled
- 51:37Speaker 2: away on the nerdy image, working with stylists and trying
- 51:40Speaker 2: out different outfits and went to great links to come
- 51:43Speaker 2: up with the exact tone and v neck sweaters and
- 51:46Speaker 2: buttoned down shirts to make him look as friendly and
- 51:49Speaker 2: as kind as possible while he's secretly buying up our
- 51:52Speaker 2: food supply, screwing around with all kinds of germs and
- 51:57Speaker 2: viruses and all sorts of anyway, we'll take some calls next.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the
- 52:04Speaker 2: number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 52:09Speaker 14: The Mark Them Own show on sevent WI.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Norman
- 52:18Speaker 2: and Long Island Norman. How you doing?
- 52:22Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 52:22Speaker 15: Hi, Mark, how are you good? I have a question
- 52:26Speaker 15: for you. I really love everything that Trump does, but
- 52:30Speaker 15: I don't understand why he keeps saying he wants to
- 52:33Speaker 15: make a deal. He's not buying a hotel. We didn't
- 52:37Speaker 15: make a deal with the Japanese at the end of
- 52:40Speaker 15: World War Two.
- 52:41Speaker 2: No, actually we did. Actually we did it.
- 52:43Speaker 15: Just we ended the war. He defeated them, and that's it. Well,
- 52:48Speaker 15: it's not like you're buying a store or something with
- 52:51Speaker 15: a deal.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Okay, well that's the point. But a better way to
- 52:55Speaker 2: do it, I mean, we could just go in there,
- 52:56Speaker 2: wipe out the whole country and you know, remember in
- 52:58Speaker 2: Japan you had a drop bombs on HEROESEA might kill
- 53:01Speaker 2: millions of bit Yeah, this is a better way to
- 53:04Speaker 2: do it in this situation. Uh. And he's a deal maker.
- 53:07Speaker 2: This is what he does best. Let's go to Mike
- 53:09Speaker 2: in Florida. Mike, how you doing. Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 53:14Speaker 9: I think Republican experts can learn from the Democrat experts
- 53:18Speaker 9: like Donna Brazil. Just don't answer, just keep you know,
- 53:22Speaker 9: change the conversation, move on, Mickey. Cheryl did that in
- 53:25Speaker 9: her press conference. You know, if I was a Republican
- 53:28Speaker 9: on that panel, they would have done a ten minute
- 53:30Speaker 9: dissertation about how perception is a matter of opinion, and
- 53:34Speaker 9: then they would sit there and suck a thumb.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Well, but wait a minute. You remember these are all
- 53:39Speaker 2: left wing fake news shows. So if the Democrat doesn't answer,
- 53:42Speaker 2: the host will say okay, thank you and move to
- 53:44Speaker 2: the next question. If the Republican doesn't answer, they will
- 53:47Speaker 2: bang on their head for ten minutes to get into
- 53:50Speaker 2: the answer. So, all right, thanks for colling. You know,
- 53:53Speaker 2: let's go to Paul and white Stone. Paul, how you doing?
- 53:57Speaker 11: Mark?
- 53:57Speaker 7: Are you doing?
- 53:58Speaker 11: Correctly stated that Totch tried to close the gay bath houses. Well,
- 54:03Speaker 11: the Jim Howls Democratic Club is quoted in the Post story.
- 54:06Speaker 11: Jim Owls himself and his partner Alan Roscoff, who was
- 54:09Speaker 11: quoted in the story, actively opposed the closing of the
- 54:13Speaker 11: gay bath houses. So what they're doing now blaming Koch
- 54:17Speaker 11: is classic projection. It's what they did at the time.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Yeah, now, why are you such an expert in gay
- 54:22Speaker 2: bath houses?
- 54:25Speaker 11: Good question. I remember back in the day when you know,
- 54:29Speaker 11: it was infuriating. Now we're trying to fight the spread
- 54:32Speaker 11: of age and the gay community was against it. I'm
- 54:37Speaker 11: not a member of the gay community, but I wanted
- 54:39Speaker 11: it to end, and I'm sorry so many people died
- 54:42Speaker 11: and were harmed by it.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point. If you just tuned in,
- 54:45Speaker 2: thanks for calling. If you just tuned in. Mandani and
- 54:48Speaker 2: another crazy left wingers want to take Koch's name off
- 54:51Speaker 2: the bridge, claiming he mishandled the AIDS crisis, which he didn't.
- 54:55Speaker 2: I mean, it wasn't the best response immediately. But this
- 54:59Speaker 2: is the same thing with the pandemic this time. The
- 55:02Speaker 2: government never knows what it's doing immediately. Let's go to
- 55:05Speaker 2: Joe and Elmwood. Joe, how you doing? Good morning?
- 55:08Speaker 16: Market Mornings and uh, I have the news for mixture show.
- 55:11Speaker 16: The sound you hear is the job sucking out of
- 55:14Speaker 16: New Jersey. We lost another company, Silk Milk, We lost
- 55:18Speaker 16: the Budweiser, We lost Exxon.
- 55:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know much a memor.
- 55:33Speaker 2: You can admit it. Don't worry. No, I'm kidding.
- 55:37Speaker 11: No.
- 55:37Speaker 2: I think I accidentally hit two lines and we got
- 55:40Speaker 2: two lines open. Sorry about that, Joe. Now you've got
- 55:42Speaker 2: a good point. Yeah, costing a lot of jobs New Jersey.
- 55:45Speaker 11: Let me hear the end of the cold.
- 55:49Speaker 2: There you go. It's too it's too complicated to explain.
- 55:54Speaker 2: We got this digital phone system and if you hit
- 55:57Speaker 2: the wrong thing, you lock in a line. So parent,
- 56:00Speaker 2: I locked in the other call and couldn't get rid
- 56:01Speaker 2: of them. Let's go to Pat in Scarsdale.
- 56:04Speaker 17: Pat, how you doing very well?
- 56:06Speaker 7: Mark?
- 56:06Speaker 17: How about yourself?
- 56:07Speaker 2: Good?
- 56:08Speaker 17: I know you touched on Jill Biden, but I just
- 56:10Speaker 17: wanted to bring up Rita Braver the interview. You know,
- 56:13Speaker 17: she's a confirmed liberal, and the follow up question. Right
- 56:17Speaker 17: after the debate, she staged a rally and she was saying, Joe,
- 56:22Speaker 17: you answered all of the questions, and he's standing there
- 56:25Speaker 17: like completely in a fog, and then she sawted this
- 56:29Speaker 17: chant old Trump did was live.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, but you got to remember it's CBS and
- 56:34Speaker 2: it's fake news. That's why they're cleaning house over there.
- 56:37Speaker 2: When Jill Biden said I never saw him like that before,
- 56:40Speaker 2: any normal person would say, well, wait a minute, we
- 56:42Speaker 2: saw ten thousand clips of him like that. I can
- 56:44Speaker 2: say that. And then a normal interviewer said, you thought
- 56:47Speaker 2: he was having a struggle, why did you take him
- 56:48Speaker 2: from there to the waffle house to a party. So,
- 56:51Speaker 2: but again, it's CBS, it's fake news. Sixteen minutes anything
- 56:54Speaker 2: CBS fake news. Republican million follow up questions, no follow
- 57:00Speaker 2: up questions. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn.
- 57:04Speaker 5: Vincent, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, Good morning Marra Mark.
- 57:07Speaker 5: I shouldn't be surprised by the makeup of the modern
- 57:10Speaker 5: Democrat party. But the Democrats in New York City and
- 57:15Speaker 5: even elsewhere use such derogatory terms to describe their their
- 57:20Speaker 5: own supporters, like Mandami and uh, these other nut jobs
- 57:26Speaker 5: called gay people queers. The gay community and the lesbian
- 57:31Speaker 5: community were fighting for the longest time to stop people
- 57:35Speaker 5: from using uh, the derogatory terms like that, and yet
- 57:39Speaker 5: my Mandami and all these jerks us use this language.
- 57:44Speaker 5: Mandami recently hired. The guy's African American, but he's uh.
- 57:50Speaker 5: I don't know what he was hired for, but he
- 57:53Speaker 5: like a million dollars or half a million dollar job.
- 57:55Speaker 5: But the guy refers to he says, oh, we gotta
- 57:59Speaker 5: fight again. Oh no, we got to have to fight
- 58:02Speaker 5: for black queer liberation. Who speaks like that? No such
- 58:07Speaker 5: derogatory terms.
- 58:08Speaker 2: The Democrat now l g B T q X. Can
- 58:11Speaker 2: you tell us what the q's? Oh, that's her queer.
- 58:14Speaker 2: What's the T for?
- 58:16Speaker 5: I don't know. The Postmark on Saturday did a whole
- 58:20Speaker 5: expose on one of these nut jobs that Mandami and
- 58:24Speaker 5: AOC is back, and her name is Dottie Alitzia ave
- 58:28Speaker 5: La Chevalier, and so of the things she is. She
- 58:32Speaker 5: says like, I'm looking at the paper right now and
- 58:34Speaker 5: it says I won't say it. It says I have no
- 58:37Speaker 5: nuance to wear f Kamala Harris. And then she talks
- 58:42Speaker 5: about interracial marriages and she says ugly about women who
- 58:48Speaker 5: marry black men, ugly colonize a women who'll speak. I mean,
- 58:52Speaker 5: these people are today's demograph.
- 58:54Speaker 2: The followers, today's Democrat. Vincent great calls, thanks for colling.
- 58:58Speaker 2: Imagine if JFK came back and looked at this, he'd say,
- 59:00Speaker 2: what the hell did you do with my party? Hey,
- 59:03Speaker 2: when we come back, the great food writer real estate
- 59:07Speaker 2: expert Steve Cuso will be with us. Now. The hottest
- 59:10Speaker 2: thing food wise. People wait in line for three hours
- 59:12Speaker 2: for this is dot cake. It's also the stupidest fat
- 59:16Speaker 2: ever on Instagram. But we'll get to that and a
- 59:18Speaker 2: whole lot more House New York doing real estate, all
- 59:21Speaker 2: that coming up on seven to ten. WR.
- 59:24Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 59:26Speaker 1: time and tap the preset button. Now now back to
- 59:30Speaker 1: the Mark Simone Show on wor.
- 59:35Speaker 2: Well. Steve Cuzo is the great New York Post columnist
- 59:38Speaker 2: nobody better on real estate, restaurants, on New York, on
- 59:41Speaker 2: What's going on. All of his columns are up on
- 59:43Speaker 2: the New York Post website. Steve Cuzo, How you doing.
- 59:48Speaker 14: Hey, good morning, I'm great. Thanks, welcome back your way.
- 59:51Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, first thing I want to talk about the
- 59:54Speaker 2: biggest phenomenon in food. The biggest Instagram hottest thing is
- 59:57Speaker 2: dot cake, which is basically cake and a little cup
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: covered with sprinkles, but they're actually dots and somehow they
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: are like embedded in there so that don't come out.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: People wait in line, like at Butterfield's Market for three hours.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: You actually did it? How what does it taste like?
- 1:00:16Speaker 13: Tastes like well, as the kids would say, I'm not
- 1:00:19Speaker 13: a kid anymore. It tastes like ass. All right, that's
- 1:00:23Speaker 13: not a compliment. That's not a compliment in any way.
- 1:00:26Speaker 13: Says something tastes like ass. But anyway, so yeah, at
- 1:00:30Speaker 13: butterfield Market, really good store. I shopping them all the time,
- 1:00:34Speaker 13: two of them on the Upper East Side. They're the
- 1:00:36Speaker 13: only ones right now who have these dot cakes that
- 1:00:39Speaker 13: are made in a bakery and Roslyn, Long Islands, and
- 1:00:45Speaker 13: it became a viral thing, you know, some bunch of
- 1:00:48Speaker 13: influencers who claim to have millions of followers.
- 1:00:50Speaker 14: Maybe they do, maybe they don't.
- 1:00:52Speaker 13: Said one of them said that it was the best
- 1:00:55Speaker 13: thing she's ever had in her entire life.
- 1:00:58Speaker 14: Which if true, I pity. I don't know what you've
- 1:01:01Speaker 14: been eating.
- 1:01:02Speaker 13: So, as I wrote, the sludgy confections are unspeakably awful.
- 1:01:08Speaker 14: You know, the top with the little tiny, non parile sprinkles,
- 1:01:14Speaker 14: it looks cute.
- 1:01:15Speaker 13: You know, there are rainbow colors, and it's what's beneath
- 1:01:20Speaker 13: that that is dreadful. So there's the thin layer of
- 1:01:24Speaker 13: icing made from palm oil and anything hardly anything natural,
- 1:01:29Speaker 13: and then below that is the cake itself.
- 1:01:30Speaker 14: The cake itself tastes exactly like so for example, the white.
- 1:01:36Speaker 13: One which I tried, which they don't call vanilla because
- 1:01:41Speaker 13: it has no vanilla.
- 1:01:42Speaker 14: If you look at the list of ingredients, you say,
- 1:01:44Speaker 14: wait a minute, what planet are we on here? What laboratory?
- 1:01:48Speaker 14: What science fiction nightmare did.
- 1:01:51Speaker 13: These come from?
- 1:01:52Speaker 14: And I'll give you a few examples.
- 1:01:56Speaker 13: I'm not going to get this right because they're impossible
- 1:01:58Speaker 13: to pronounce. But something sodium silly co illuminate, mono calcium phosphate.
- 1:02:06Speaker 14: Sort the tan monosteroid.
- 1:02:09Speaker 13: And here's my favorite terror tetra sodium prothose fait.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Oh, my favorite, my favorite food.
- 1:02:18Speaker 13: That word is the fact that word is so long
- 1:02:21Speaker 13: that we had a problem fitting in our computer system
- 1:02:24Speaker 13: almost anything along the line.
- 1:02:26Speaker 14: So and that's not all. There's more stuff.
- 1:02:28Speaker 13: So the result is that you know, and of course
- 1:02:30Speaker 13: there's some basic flowering ames or uh, the egg white.
- 1:02:36Speaker 13: If you go into any like convenience store of bodega,
- 1:02:40Speaker 13: your corner candy.
- 1:02:41Speaker 14: Store, and you look at the you know, the the stand.
- 1:02:44Speaker 18: In the front with the cheap sweet treats, you know,
- 1:02:47Speaker 18: funny bones and hosts, cupcakes and uh, you know, banana fingers,
- 1:02:55Speaker 18: all these different things, and they're in these cellophane wrappers.
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:03:01Speaker 13: This is what the dot cakes taste like and what
- 1:03:05Speaker 13: they feel like on the tongue. They're spongy, they're they're
- 1:03:08Speaker 13: not pleasant, they're dry.
- 1:03:10Speaker 14: Uh, and that's because.
- 1:03:14Speaker 13: They're made out of mainly chemical ingredients, stabilizers whatnot and
- 1:03:20Speaker 13: to bind.
- 1:03:21Speaker 14: The thing together.
- 1:03:22Speaker 13: And they are it's absolutely awful, and yeah, you've got
- 1:03:26Speaker 13: people standing online.
- 1:03:27Speaker 14: I waited online.
- 1:03:31Speaker 13: An hour basically at the Madison and Avenue and eighty
- 1:03:34Speaker 13: fifth streets and to get they'll only sell you two
- 1:03:37Speaker 13: at a time, which makes sense. They get I think
- 1:03:40Speaker 13: six hundred on Wednesday and six hundred more on Saturday,
- 1:03:45Speaker 13: and obviously they excuse me, so they'll sell. They don't
- 1:03:49Speaker 13: want people hoarding them. I don't know why I want
- 1:03:52Speaker 13: to them, And so it takes an hour from this
- 1:03:56Speaker 13: line to you know, for you to get to the front.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Uh and uh.
- 1:04:01Speaker 14: You know, the people I spoke to, a lot of
- 1:04:03Speaker 14: the people I spoke to online hadn't tried them yet.
- 1:04:06Speaker 13: But they were excited because they saw these viral TikTok
- 1:04:10Speaker 13: poasting Instagram, especially TikTok, which is scary to think about it,
- 1:04:15Speaker 13: but TikTok, which is still owned by a Chinese algorithm,
- 1:04:20Speaker 13: is a main engine of our current economy, believe it
- 1:04:24Speaker 13: or not.
- 1:04:26Speaker 14: So they hadn't tasted them.
- 1:04:27Speaker 13: They were a little skeptical, but you know, nobody wants
- 1:04:30Speaker 13: you know, what is it fomo ear missing out?
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: They don't want to.
- 1:04:34Speaker 19: They're only ones.
- 1:04:35Speaker 13: Among their friends who hadn't tried it, so they waited
- 1:04:37Speaker 13: an hour, and then when they got them, I talked
- 1:04:39Speaker 13: to several people and they had basically the same reaction
- 1:04:43Speaker 13: that I did, like.
- 1:04:43Speaker 14: Well, you know, they're okay. I mean, nobody wanted to
- 1:04:46Speaker 14: say I got suckered. There are one hundred dollars each.
- 1:04:49Speaker 14: By the way, these little eight.
- 1:04:51Speaker 10: Dons cups are eleven dollars each.
- 1:04:53Speaker 19: You go into the bodega or the grocery store and
- 1:04:57Speaker 19: you get one of these chunk with colored tweets like
- 1:05:02Speaker 19: snowballs or bunnybones whatever, they're three dollars.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Hey. So if I went over there to Morton Williams
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: and bought, you know, just a vanilla cake, and I
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: bought a bag of sprinkles and packed it down on top,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: wouldn't I have the same thing.
- 1:05:18Speaker 14: It would be much.
- 1:05:18Speaker 13: Better if you got real you know, vanilla keke or
- 1:05:22Speaker 13: vanilla ice cream, excuse me, and you put the sprinkled
- 1:05:25Speaker 13: nontrial sprinkles on top.
- 1:05:28Speaker 14: Of course, it would be better.
- 1:05:29Speaker 13: And in fact, you know, it's interesting because Butterfield Market,
- 1:05:34Speaker 13: in their regular bakery section, they sell a product. I
- 1:05:38Speaker 13: don't know what it's called, but I almost bought one
- 1:05:41Speaker 13: by mistake, thinking that this was the Dock takes a
- 1:05:45Speaker 13: cake that looks a lot like a Dot take, except
- 1:05:48Speaker 13: that dotcakes are round and these are rectangular. And I'm
- 1:05:52Speaker 13: sure that there would have been ten times better had.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I bought one. Yeah, Butterfield is one of the finest
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: sup markets. It is probably the finest super market New York,
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: run by really nice family, Joel and her family. Anything
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: in their bakery is going to be better than that
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: dot cake.
- 1:06:05Speaker 14: So exactly.
- 1:06:06Speaker 13: And they have an exclusive arrangement with this bakery in Moslem,
- 1:06:10Speaker 13: which is called Dot Cakes with Dog Dotcakes, to sell
- 1:06:16Speaker 13: these things in Manhattan.
- 1:06:18Speaker 14: And I don't know how or why it came about
- 1:06:20Speaker 14: that they got that kind of that kind of exclusive arrangement.
- 1:06:25Speaker 13: And I walked by the one yesterday on Madison Navy.
- 1:06:27Speaker 13: They don't have the dot Cakes on Sunday, but there's
- 1:06:31Speaker 13: excuse me.
- 1:06:32Speaker 14: It's a very popular store.
- 1:06:33Speaker 13: There was a long line on the sidewalk for their
- 1:06:36Speaker 13: frozen yogurt and things like that, which they sell to
- 1:06:39Speaker 13: a window. A great store, awful product, And I don't
- 1:06:45Speaker 13: know what anybody's thinking anymore.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, you also read a comms. We're talking to
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Steve Cuzo The Great New York Post Commas Madison Avenue
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: fifty fifth. It used to be the Sony Building and
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: the Sony store was the whole first floor. I love that.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: Now it's like a very expensive bars restaurant. And did
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: you say McLaren is opening a dealership in there.
- 1:07:06Speaker 13: Yeah, in tax Since I wrote that last week, I
- 1:07:09Speaker 13: was told just.
- 1:07:09Speaker 14: This morning that they had actually signed the lease.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: But it's probably true.
- 1:07:16Speaker 13: So the Formerstony building five poin fifteen Madison, which was
- 1:07:20Speaker 13: redesigned by the owner's company.
- 1:07:23Speaker 14: Called Olean America.
- 1:07:26Speaker 13: So it's one filled with offices great companies like Chubb
- 1:07:30Speaker 13: and Hedge.
- 1:07:31Speaker 14: Funds and all that at very high rents.
- 1:07:34Speaker 13: And at the north end there is the restaurant complex,
- 1:07:38Speaker 13: Simon Kim's hospitality company. It's a complex of cot the
- 1:07:44Speaker 13: Korean barbecue restaurants and three bars, and there's a third
- 1:07:51Speaker 13: element coming in the fall, a Japanese sushi bar run
- 1:07:57Speaker 13: by a three micheline star chef. This south end has
- 1:08:00Speaker 13: been vacant and Simon Kim signed the lease for the
- 1:08:04Speaker 13: restaurants space like four years ago, but it took the
- 1:08:07Speaker 13: build out took forever, all kinds of issues landmarks, buildings Department,
- 1:08:11Speaker 13: et cetera. But the similar sized space at the south
- 1:08:16Speaker 13: end of the building behind those tall windows has been
- 1:08:19Speaker 13: empty ever since the temporary art exhibition now from.
- 1:08:24Speaker 14: The Museum of the City of New York, I believe.
- 1:08:26Speaker 13: But they've signed the lease, or they're very close to
- 1:08:29Speaker 13: signing the lease with McLaren Automotive, which is the that's
- 1:08:32Speaker 13: the Street Clark division of McLaren, the legendary race car
- 1:08:40Speaker 13: in British, which was named for founder Bruce McLaren, who
- 1:08:45Speaker 13: tragically perished in a driving accident way back when at
- 1:08:50Speaker 13: age twenty eight. And anyway, this will be a terrific
- 1:08:54Speaker 13: addition to the Madison.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: Avenue will but only twelve guys driving McClaren's billions. Who
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: drives them?
- 1:09:02Speaker 13: Yeah, but you can go yet, of course you're right,
- 1:09:04Speaker 13: But you can go in and look at them. The
- 1:09:08Speaker 13: luxury image, you know, fits perfectly with Madison Avenue in
- 1:09:12Speaker 13: the forties and East forties, fifties and sixties, the city's premiere,
- 1:09:18Speaker 13: you know, high end shopping district.
- 1:09:20Speaker 14: Notwithstanding soho and.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: You know, Ferrari, there's a train.
- 1:09:25Speaker 13: Ferrari is moving into a much larger space on Park
- 1:09:30Speaker 13: Avenue at the five twenty Park Avenue. It's been for
- 1:09:35Speaker 13: years in a much smaller space with a low ceiling
- 1:09:38Speaker 13: across the avenue, and now they're moving into a very
- 1:09:41Speaker 13: large space.
- 1:09:42Speaker 14: That will it's going to be hit people. You're not
- 1:09:45Speaker 14: going to buy the Ferrari. You're just going to go
- 1:09:47Speaker 14: in and look at them.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: So can we take it? Can we take it from all?
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: This in New York is not dying, not quite.
- 1:09:54Speaker 14: Not quite yet anything but mark anything.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: But yeah, well, yeah I'm claring a Ferrari dealer down
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: the block. You got expensive restaurants.
- 1:10:03Speaker 13: Austin Martin, Auston Martin soon really just around the corner. Yeah,
- 1:10:07Speaker 13: Austin Martin has a huge show on. I think it's
- 1:10:10Speaker 13: Park and fifty seven.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Well, these are pretty smart people. They wouldn't be opening
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: these things here if they didn't think New York had
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: a big future and that things were going well here
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: despite got it, despite our politicians. Well, great stuff. Everybody
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: read Steve Cuzo's columns in The New York Post. If
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: you go to the website, all of his columns are
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: up there. Just go to the opinion section, look up
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: Steve Cuzo. You'll find his columns there. Great stuff, And
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: Steve Cuze thanks for being with us.
- 1:10:36Speaker 13: Thank you, thanks again, Mark all Rank.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: You take care. Hey, I don't forget coming up at noon,
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Buck and Clay. And you know that Curtis Leiwa is
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: on every morning here. It's Curtis Leiwa, Larry Mente every
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: morning six to ten, on seven to ten WR.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: It's more mister New York on seven ten w olr.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: Well, Delady Hall. That's that detention facility ICE Newark, New
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Jersey's still a mess there caused by Mikey Cheryl and
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: the Democrats. There were some protests. They went and weaponized it,
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Gin did up and now antifas in their violent paid agitators.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: They've discovered that they have bases with storage equipment, with
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: anti riot equipment. These are all paid professional protesters. It's
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: an absolute mess, this anti ICE stuff. You know, if
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: you look at the track record of ICE, you can
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: find some controversial arrests or some bad moments. You can
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: name five or six of them, but they've now arrested
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: about seven hundred thousand people. If you check their track
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: record successful peaceful arrests all the time. The bad incidents
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: are like zero point zero zero zero one percent. Hard
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: to beat that record. Well, i'll be back tomorrow ten
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: to noon. I'll talk to you then have a great
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: day seven to ten WR
