- 0:10May 31st Trust in the unseen plan.
- 0:13Have you ever felt like you were spinning a wheel and just hoping
- 0:16it landed somewhere good? Like no matter how much you
- 0:20tried to plan or prepare, things were still unpredictable, still
- 0:24out of your hands? Maybe it's where you'll end up
- 0:27after school, or whether a relationship will work out, or
- 0:30how a situation at home is going to resolve.
- 0:34Life can feel genuinely uncertain, and that uncertainty
- 0:37can be really unsettling. Proverbs chapter 16 verse 33
- 0:42speaks into that with a quiet, grounding confidence.
- 0:46The lot is cast into the lap, but it's every decision is from
- 0:49the Lord. In the ancient world, casting
- 0:53lots was the way people made decisions when the outcome was
- 0:56uncertain, essentially like rolling the dice.
- 1:00And what this verse says is that even that even the apparently
- 1:03random outcome is in God's hands.
- 1:06Nothing falls outside His awareness or beyond His
- 1:09authority. The things that look like chance
- 1:12to us are not chance to Him. That's a profound statement.
- 1:16It means the situation that feels out of control to you is
- 1:19not out of control. It means the outcome you can't
- 1:23see or predict is seen by the God who holds all things.
- 1:27And it means you are not navigating an unpredictable
- 1:30universe alone. You are walking through it with
- 1:33a God who is sovereignly present in every detail.
- 1:37Psalm 62, verses 5 and 6 respond to that truth with the most
- 1:41restful declaration. My soul finds rest in God alone.
- 1:46My salvation comes from Him. Truly.
- 1:49He is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress.
- 1:52I will never be shaken. My soul finds rest not in having
- 1:56all the answers, not in controlling all the outcomes,
- 2:00not in having everything figured out.
- 2:03Rest comes from God alone. He is the rock.
- 2:06He is the fortress. And the conclusion the psalmist
- 2:09reaches is not a fragile hope, but a settled certainty.
- 2:12I will never be shaken. That's available to you, not as
- 2:17a feeling that comes naturally or that you have to manufacture,
- 2:20but as a choice, a daily act of trust where you bring what
- 2:24you're carrying to God and say, I don't know how this turns out,
- 2:28but you do. And I'm resting in that.
- 2:31It doesn't make the uncertainty disappear, but it changes your
- 2:34relationship to it completely. And Ephesians chapter 6, verse
- 2:3914 reminds us that trust in God is not passivity.
- 2:43You don't just wait for things to happen, you stand firm,
- 2:47equipped, and ready. Stand therefore, having fastened
- 2:50on the belt of truth and having put on the breastplate of
- 2:54righteousness. The armor of God is not
- 2:57defensive furniture you wear while hiding.
- 3:00It's what you put on when you are ready to stand your ground
- 3:03truth around your waist. Because when lies and confusion
- 3:06come at you, the truth of God is what you hold onto.
- 3:10Righteousness over your heart. Because a clear conscience
- 3:13before God is your protection against the enemy's accusations.
- 3:17You are not helpless in the face of uncertainty.
- 3:20You are equipped, you are covered, and you are held by a
- 3:24God whose plans are never thwarted and whose love for you
- 3:27never wavers. So as this month closes, here's
- 3:31the invitation. Trust the unseen plan, not
- 3:35blindly, not passively, but actively armored up, standing
- 3:39firm and resting in the God who holds every outcome in His
- 3:41hands. He has not forgotten you, He is
- 3:44not finished with you, and whatever comes next, He already
- 3:48knows the way through. Let's pray.
- 3:51Heavenly Father, thank you for being my rock, my salvation, my
- 3:54fortress, the one place where my soul can genuinely rest in a
- 3:59world that feels uncertain and unpredictable, I choose to trust
- 4:03that nothing falls outside your hands.
- 4:06Help me to stop straining for control and start resting in
- 4:09Your sovereignty. Equip me to stand firm with
- 4:12truth, with righteousness, with faith in every challenge this
- 4:16next season brings. I don't need to see the whole
- 4:19plan, I just need to trust the one who holds it.
- 4:22In Jesus name, Amen. What if the battles hitting your
- 4:26family are not random and your home can become a place where
- 4:29darkness loses every right to stay?

- 5:34Proverbs Chapter 16 Verse 33 World English Bible The lot is
- 5:39cast into the lap, but it's every decision is from Yahweh.
- 5:42Psalm Chapter 62 World English Bible My soul rests in God
- 5:47alone. My salvation is from Him.
- 5:50He alone is my rock, my salvation and my fortress.
- 5:54I will never be greatly shaken. How long will you assault a man?
- 5:59Would all of you throw him down like a leaning wall, like a
- 6:01tottering fence? They fully intend to throw him
- 6:04down from his lofty place. They delight in lies, They bless
- 6:09with their mouth, but they curse inwardly.
- 6:12My soul wait in silence for God alone.
- 6:15For my expectation is from Him. He alone is my rock and my
- 6:18salvation my fortress. I will not be shaken.
- 6:22My salvation and my honor is with God.
- 6:25The rock of my strength and my refuge is in God.
- 6:28Trust in Him at all times. You people pour out your heart
- 6:31before Him. God is a refuge for us.
- 6:35Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high
- 6:38degree are a lie in the balances.
- 6:40They will go up. They are together lighter than a
- 6:43breath. Don't trust in oppression.
- 6:46Don't become vain in robbery. If riches increase, don't set
- 6:49your heart on them. God has spoken once, twice.
- 6:52I have heard this. That power belongs to God also
- 6:56to you Lord belongs loving kindness, for you reward every
- 7:00man according to his work. Ephesians Chapter 6 World
- 7:04English Bible Children, obey your parents and the Lord, for
- 7:07this is right. Honor your father and mother,
- 7:11which is the first commandment, with a promise that it may be
- 7:14well with you and you may live long on the earth.
- 7:17You fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture
- 7:21them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- 7:25Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are
- 7:28your masters. With fear and trembling, in
- 7:31singleness of your heart as to Christ, not in the way of
- 7:34service only when eyes are on you as men pleasers, but as
- 7:39servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.
- 7:42With goodwill. Doing service as to the Lord and
- 7:45not to men, knowing that whatever good thing each one
- 7:48does, he will receive the same good again from the Lord,
- 7:52whether he is bound or free. You masters do the same things
- 7:57to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who
- 8:00is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no
- 8:03partiality with him. Finally, be strong in the Lord
- 8:07and in the strength of His might.
- 8:09Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand
- 8:13against the Wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against
- 8:17flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the
- 8:20powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this
- 8:23age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the
- 8:28heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor
- 8:31of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day.
- 8:35And having done all to stand. Stand, therefore, having the
- 8:40utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having
- 8:43put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted
- 8:47your feet with the preparation of the good news of peace, Above
- 8:50all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be
- 8:53able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil. 1 And take
- 8:57the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is
- 9:01the Word of God, with all prayer and requests, praying at all
- 9:05times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all
- 9:09perseverance and requests for all the Saints on my behalf.
- 9:13That utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth to make
- 9:17known with boldness the mystery of the good news for which I am
- 9:21an ambassador in chains, that in it I may speak boldly as I ought
- 9:25to speak, but that you also may know my affairs how I am doing.
- 9:30Titicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord,
- 9:34will make known to you all things.
- 9:36I have sent Him to you for this very purpose, that you may know
- 9:40our state and that He may comfort your hearts.
- 9:43Peace be to the brothers and love with faith from God the
- 9:46Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 9:49Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with
- 9:52incorruptible love. Amen.
