  May 31st Trust in the unseen plan.

  Have you ever felt like you were spinning a wheel and just hoping
• 0:16
  it landed somewhere good? Like no matter how much you
• 0:20
  tried to plan or prepare, things were still unpredictable, still
• 0:24
  out of your hands? Maybe it's where you'll end up
• 0:27
  after school, or whether a relationship will work out, or
• 0:30
  how a situation at home is going to resolve.
• 0:34
  Life can feel genuinely uncertain, and that uncertainty
• 0:37
  can be really unsettling. Proverbs chapter 16 verse 33
• 0:42
  speaks into that with a quiet, grounding confidence.
• 0:46
  The lot is cast into the lap, but it's every decision is from
• 0:49
  the Lord. In the ancient world, casting
• 0:53
  lots was the way people made decisions when the outcome was
• 0:56
  uncertain, essentially like rolling the dice.

  And what this verse says is that even that even the apparently
• 1:03
  random outcome is in God's hands.
• 1:06
  Nothing falls outside His awareness or beyond His
• 1:09
  authority. The things that look like chance
• 1:12
  to us are not chance to Him. That's a profound statement.
• 1:16
  It means the situation that feels out of control to you is
• 1:19
  not out of control. It means the outcome you can't
• 1:23
  see or predict is seen by the God who holds all things.
• 1:27
  And it means you are not navigating an unpredictable
• 1:30
  universe alone. You are walking through it with
• 1:33
  a God who is sovereignly present in every detail.
• 1:37
  Psalm 62, verses 5 and 6 respond to that truth with the most
• 1:41
  restful declaration. My soul finds rest in God alone.
• 1:46
  My salvation comes from Him. Truly.
• 1:49
  He is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress.
• 1:52
  I will never be shaken. My soul finds rest not in having
• 1:56
  all the answers, not in controlling all the outcomes,
• 2:00
  not in having everything figured out.
• 2:03
  Rest comes from God alone. He is the rock.
• 2:06
  He is the fortress. And the conclusion the psalmist
• 2:09
  reaches is not a fragile hope, but a settled certainty.

  I will never be shaken. That's available to you, not as
• 2:17
  a feeling that comes naturally or that you have to manufacture,
• 2:20
  but as a choice, a daily act of trust where you bring what
• 2:24
  you're carrying to God and say, I don't know how this turns out,
• 2:28
  but you do. And I'm resting in that.
• 2:31
  It doesn't make the uncertainty disappear, but it changes your
• 2:34
  relationship to it completely. And Ephesians chapter 6, verse
• 2:39
  14 reminds us that trust in God is not passivity.

  You don't just wait for things to happen, you stand firm,
• 2:47
  equipped, and ready. Stand therefore, having fastened
• 2:50
  on the belt of truth and having put on the breastplate of
• 2:54
  righteousness. The armor of God is not
• 2:57
  defensive furniture you wear while hiding.
• 3:00
  It's what you put on when you are ready to stand your ground
• 3:03
  truth around your waist. Because when lies and confusion
• 3:06
  come at you, the truth of God is what you hold onto.
• 3:10
  Righteousness over your heart. Because a clear conscience
• 3:13
  before God is your protection against the enemy's accusations.
• 3:17
  You are not helpless in the face of uncertainty.
• 3:20
  You are equipped, you are covered, and you are held by a
• 3:24
  God whose plans are never thwarted and whose love for you
• 3:27
  never wavers. So as this month closes, here's
• 3:31
  the invitation. Trust the unseen plan, not
• 3:35
  blindly, not passively, but actively armored up, standing
• 3:39
  firm and resting in the God who holds every outcome in His
• 3:41
  hands. He has not forgotten you, He is
• 3:44
  not finished with you, and whatever comes next, He already
• 3:48
  knows the way through. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for being my rock, my salvation, my
• 3:54
  fortress, the one place where my soul can genuinely rest in a
• 3:59
  world that feels uncertain and unpredictable, I choose to trust
• 4:03
  that nothing falls outside your hands.

  Help me to stop straining for control and start resting in
• 4:09
  Your sovereignty. Equip me to stand firm with
• 4:12
  truth, with righteousness, with faith in every challenge this
• 4:16
  next season brings. I don't need to see the whole
• 4:19
  plan, I just need to trust the one who holds it.
