- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: The title of this episode is Worst Costumes.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: We've been off for a couple of weeks, but we're going to be reviewing the bread winner.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: The breadwinner.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and we'll talk about the movies that are coming out this week.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'll also give you a preview while a review of the movies that came out the week before.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: I might give you a double feature next week.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, since we're not in a grants on something, but we'll talk about that a little bit later in the episode.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, I am your host, or I'll co-host, I should say, sorry.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: Chris Miles, you can catch on my other podcast on the
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: Do it only not, do it only, I don't do it all, I don't do it all, you don't do it all, no, okay, I haven't do it all since I was 14.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: that sounds like a personal problem.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm just saying.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: This is Ann of our co-host of Can I Call You Dad.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: And before we go on, we want to thank you for we hit a big milestone kind of recently with a lot of downloads on the right network for this show, new music grow.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: Can I call you dad and a couple of other shows?
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: we want to thank everybody out there listening we hope you have fun because this is all about fun we're not again we're not movie critics we're just two guys they have a lot of media experience and radio and television and theater and we thought it'd be fun for us to give you our take on on movies that we see and what we think about certain things and in a funny way in a hilarious funny
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: My banners more fun than Chris is but that's okay.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting better each week.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: So by the time we get to episode 80, he'll be almost as quick as me.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: And so I yield to a yield Mr. Chairman, I yield to the senator from Guga manga.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, then, yeah, anyway.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, like I said earlier in the show, we've been away for a couple of weeks, but we both saw breadwinners.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: We did.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: We did not see it together.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: However, someone that's sitting across me is going to be very mad at me when he finds out where I went to see breadwinners.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, he's already pissed off, so who cares?
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just add to it.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: But, yes, let's take a look at the movies that are coming out this weekend.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: There's not too many, not even like on streaming services or anything.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: So this is kind of, it's kind of a slow week and, you know, when it's supposed to be like the mega blockbuster summer stuff going on, I'm a little disappointed.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to say it right off the bat.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like there should have been more movies.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like other movies came out faster than they should have.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: And like, if this is all we have, then I'm a little worried about the summer.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: The first movie that we have on the list there is disclosure day, which of course is Steven Spielberg's latest I guess we could say entry into the world of cinema.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah He hasn't done anything in a while that I can recall Well, it is Spielberg so you know the directing is gonna be good.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's all it makes that's all that takes for you It's that it's Spielberg and pretty much okay
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if anything else you want to say about the movie, there's nobody else you're looking forward to seeing in the water movie.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: I like the concept.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: I like, I think the concept is, uh, is right in time, right right in rhythm with the times we're in right now.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they're releasing a whole lot of of UFO stuff now.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: They're actually meeting that they had a UFO department basically in this country.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know, around the world, they haven't really been as a secret of about that stuff as we have.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I believe, I do believe there are other people on other planets somewhere.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we can be the only species in a galaxy, or hundreds of thousands of galaxies.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: So I just, I think there are other people out there.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: okay.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think I've been a few.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: So you have no interest in the fact that Emily Blunt is going to be in this movie which is pretty much everybody is talking about none of the actors.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's all about Spielberg for you and that's it.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well it's Spielberg and I think it's the concept.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's Spielberg and the concept for me.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: I like Emily Blunt.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not like a big big fan of hers, you know.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think there are other
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: Should be okay in this.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay then, all right.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's the movie that I think everybody's talking about this weekend.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's one that everyone's going to kind of jump into and kind of roll with.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the movie that we're going to review.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the one that's going to have the biggest attendance.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know you want to go see a different one.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: I disagree with you.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think that there's a movie that's already out that is going to have way bigger attendance than this one.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Spielberg.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the first of all we never heard about this movie.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: Did you ever see a preview of this movie ever of which one disclosure day?
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're a scene several at theater.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: It was one of the theater when I saw What was the other the last act of men the loin was a man and it's been on TV they been showing on TV late night TV
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: I met in the theaters.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that's one theater too.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen it at one movie.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really sorry, but I've seen it at one movie.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I disagree with you and we've done that before.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: What a surprise.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think Master of the Universe is going to have the better attendance this week.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: Then you can go see Master of the Universe.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: If that's your thing.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: The other movie that's coming out this weekend is called The Furious.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's like some sort of weird abduction movie.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what else to say about it.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't look very interesting to me.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was just like another sequel to Fast and Furious.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: They just took off the fast.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Then it wouldn't be a sequel at all.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: It could be, it could be just furious, and then if it doesn't have cars in it, you can't call it that.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure there are cars in this movie.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: The kind of cars that they feature in the fast and the furious movies are not going to be in this movie.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: And not even the right, but it's not even the right genre.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: This is an action thriller.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: Those are other movies we're not action thrillers.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so those are the movies that are coming out this week.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I wish I hadn't more to tell you because everything else is kind of limited release, nothing, like I said, this seems to be like a down week.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Last weekend was a great week.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: There were like two movies, actually I think there were more than two more.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: But there were two really big ones and then for those of you that don't really want to go into theaters There was a movie that came out even on Netflix as well So last week we had scary movie six which came out masters of the universe and then also power ballad Which I know is one on your list to see because you're a huge huge fan of that boy band that everybody loves Yeah, I am and I I don't I'm not ashamed to say it What's that boy band manuto manuto?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh wow
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good slightly southern turn.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: Slightly southern turn.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: The band that once you turn 16, you were automatically kicked out.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was weird, huh?
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't hit the high notes.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: Hit the high notes, so that was a role.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: And who came out of there?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Huh?
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: Who came out of that group?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: The only major person that came out of that was Ricky Martin.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: Other than that, there was nobody.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: Living the... You're what hurts?
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: Come on, Chris, your what hurts live in the your what hurts live in the he had no He had no songs in Manudo that ever made like the top 10.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the is right in Latin American country's Manudo is huge huge I said in here he only had live in love
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's not the only song you had.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's the big one.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's, uh, disagree with you.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of the big ones.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: He had about four or five ones that were pretty big.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think anything else went further.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: I wish it had.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: We should have.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: But you weren't DJing at that time.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: There were at least five or six Ricky Martin songs that I played at that time.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: There might have been five or six songs you were playing, but it doesn't mean they were as huge a hit as living law.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then it was performed on the Grammys.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: any little other song performed in the Grammy.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: And you teach him?
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: A million other songs have been performed on the Grammys.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: By Mr. Ricky Martin?
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really care.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's the point.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: Because Ricky Martin is like a flash in the pan, as far as I'm concerned.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: But that's what I'm saying.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: He only had the one hit.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm agreeing with you.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: He had multiple hits.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: Not hit hits, like leave it live in La Vita, look at him.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: That was live in La Vita, loco.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: Was a could be categorized as one of his biggest, but he had a couple other big hits.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he had anything as big, though.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: He had a huge hit for the freaking FIFA thing.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: The FIFA thing.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the soccer, the soccer song, which I can't think of the title right now, but that was another big song of his.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: What's FIFA?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, look at this, Mr. Mr. Collimey out over stuff and doesn't even know.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, look at that.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: It was the soccer anthem for like 2000 or 2004, whatever, whatever gear it was.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: That was the, it was the year, I believe if I remember correctly, it was the year that, uh,
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: as a matter of fact.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: And he had the steam song for FIFA that year or the... Maybe it wasn't FIFA, maybe it was World Cup.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: But to me, it's the same thing.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a huge soccer fan.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's something for those people that like to kick balls around.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing that was came out this week, or last week, I should say, was office romance.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: That came exclusively to Netflix.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: So we had quite a few options last week, this week, not so many.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: But like I said, disclosure day, we want to review, and then I will go and see one of these other movies as well.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: Because I believe we should give it a little bit of airtime.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: uh but let's move on to the show that we saw a couple weeks ago the bread winner um why don't you start because you seem to be a bigger neighbor getsy fan than I am i'm not actually you said you thought he was funny
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: I thought, I think he's funny.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a big fan.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's funny.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're a bigger fan than I am, because I don't think he's funny at all.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's funny.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: I just, and I admire anybody can fill a stadium like that.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: But I think this was a, I think this was terrific opportunity for Nate to come out in his first movie, first feature movie.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think he played the role well enough.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's obvious he's not an actor and I don't know that he will be, he just was playing himself in this movie.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the writing was okay, a best, they didn't really take advantage as much
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: the Middle Eastern comic, Kalee, his co-star in the movie?
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, one of the co-stars in the movie.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's biggest co-star was many more.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: But many more.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: She was hardly ever in it either, by the way, which was also disappointing that that wasn't a whole lot of the stuff there.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the whole, that, the,
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: The movie starts out with a terrific premise.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: And then it turns into a kind of unbelievable thing.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to give a lot of way about what happens in the movie, but a lot of what happens in the movie is not stuff that can happen in real life.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_02]: In this kind of a situation, in this situation, length itself.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, for instance, what other movie is like this?
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Maam.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now Mr. Maam was funny, I laughed throughout that movie, I didn't laugh like a hundred percent but throughout that movie there were good moments of big laughs.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: This movie didn't have really had that in my opinion.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: And there wasn't anything in Mr. Maam with Michael Keaton who was really good in that
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: And Terry guard, by the way, we had a more prominent role in Mr.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: Mom than Mandy Moore had in this.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I thought it was not well-directed.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the story was not well-written.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they sold it as the comedy of the summer, and it's not feel bad for Nate, because I think it's coming out party.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know how well it did at the box office, maybe it did really well, because he's kind of the hot item right now.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: And that's sometimes your lure people into the theater.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: But it didn't hit for me.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, you're rating it way higher than I ever would.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm a nicer guy.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's fine.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: You can be a nicer guy.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: And again, it was a very moving movie.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: His comedy sucks.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's not funny at all.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's way too slow in his delivery.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: He puts, he puts me to sleep.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: I actually, so I saw Brad winner.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: Did you stay through the credits?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: or did you leave before the credits?
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Nice to do the credits.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: So then you saw the bits and pieces of a stand-up.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: So in the credits, they show bits and pieces of a stand-up, which they use to clearly write the movie.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: And it but unlike something like everyone loves Raymond, where it works,
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody loves Raymond, a lot of that is based on his original stand-up comedy, and then they expanded upon that, but it worked there really well.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't work here because Nate doesn't work.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: Nate works all the time.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's selling out stadiums all over the place and I don't know why because his comedy is not funny at all.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now, some people have said, well, it's kind of relatable and I understand that, but at the same token, it's not funny because it's just like, oh, hey, I was a one day I worked for for for a water meter reader and that's what I did and then I decided not to do that anymore because of COVID and then I decided to become a Santa comment.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's so slow and is delivery,
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: That I don't even understand what people are seeing in him.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: Not only that, but he was a terrible host for the 77th prime time Emmy Awards.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't understand where anyone is seeing anything about this guy, but anyway, that kind of beside the point because I actually want to watch it stand up after I saw the movie because I was like, oh, I wonder if the whole routine is that.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: And while yes, there are bits of pieces, I only watch one there if you give on my Netflix if you want to waste your time, go right ahead.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't find this, you want to know who I found the funniest in this movie?
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: The kids, they were the funniest.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: Nate was terrible, Mandy Moore, not existed.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: We agree on that.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: The only other person that you, the only, and here's a funny thing because I don't think Colin Jost is that funny, but I thought Colin was funnier than Nate Bargazzi in this movie.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's one of the things I also meant to say was that they didn't use the Colin character as much as they could have to get more humor into it.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: I feel it's better.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like Nate was trying to steal the whole show of the thing because he's used to that or because he wants that.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: This is clearly Nate saying, hey, since I have a Netflix contract, let me make a movie and show you all the other things.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: other than that wasn't there was nothing else memorable in this film the gentleman that you were trying to think of earlier uh... is uh... kumal and i'm gumal yeah his last name but it's yeah i think it's that jimmy uh... he's been in some other stuff yes but you know what his whole gimmick is look i have a a gorgeous body and and i'm you know i think he's indian maybe is arabic i don't know you mean in this movie no just period in general uh... ever since i understand that was
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: ever but that's not really funny and he had a movie there was a big hit here me now and believe me later about what i'm actually talking about his gimmick now seems to be the fact that he decided to work out and he's got this amazing body okay that's his gimmick right because he's done it in like two or three he's done it in two or three movies he's done it he was uh superhero he's done it he played a superhero yeah he played in uh
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, what Marvel movie was here.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: You can make me look shit out.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: If you're going to talk smack you better have you better have I've information what Marvel movie did he play a major role then by exactly the point that I was trying to say before I was so rudely interrupted what was his name was in the fact you really you lost it.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's on you Was the fact that the last the last couple of commercials he's been in and the last couple of like even minimal Rolls that he's been in he's always about flexing his muscles
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: and that gets boring after a while.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: But that's the whole thing.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: The movie's boring.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's totally boring.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: It wanted to be Mr.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: Mom and it failed miserably.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do it to there.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: Not because it was a bad concept.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't a bad concept at all.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: There's a ton of other things they could have done.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, the reality is this is that Nate's just not funny.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why this movie bombed, and I can't believe you gave it a six, although you seem to agree with some people on IMDB.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe I'm just off the mark here, but I would give this movie a three.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not funny, the kids are funny.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: Some of the incidents that happened are for kind of funny, there was maybe once that I actually laughed at something that Nate did, when I watched his stand up, I think I laughed at like two jokes.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I just think it's because he's just,
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: There's a way to play somebody who is less intelligent and still be intelligent about it and Nate doesn't come off as intelligent as all, at all.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: So give me that.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it's just kind of like, okay, so you're just up there, just telling jokes, it almost looks like he's coming up with this stuff on the spot, but he's so slow in his delivery, that it looks like he's literally actually trying to think of the next thing that's gonna be funny and that's what makes it not funny.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: because comics need to be like this.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: They need to be quick.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: They need to be with the delivery and everything like that.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_01]: When you start to slow things down, it just becomes extremely boring.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, that's that.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: I believe the movie or the thing that you're looking for is probably Miss Marvel.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: And he plays, I think he plays the dad in that show.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think he's, I don't think he's ever played a, in any sort of superhero marvel.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: But alone, maybe he was in the internals.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's what you're thinking.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: Do you turnals?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: Not the internals, that would be doctors.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: I said, the internals, clean out the crap in your ears, cute tips, we're going to invention.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: And if he was in that movie, I don't remember him because that was in a great Marvel movie either.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he played Congo.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so he was any turnals, but of all the Marvel movies to pick.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably one of the worst Marvel movies that are out there.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't say it was a great movie.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just said he was in it.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: But you also played a Marvel character.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: He said he's a great, which is why you talked about him bulky up.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm guessing that's why he did it.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: And now he enjoys being bulked up, maybe.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: And losing mass in other areas, which is what tends to happen.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, that's my review of the movie clearly.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: We don't agree on it at all.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: So would you give it a three?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: A three.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, I lay out a little bit.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: It was enjoyable.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: It was a good family movie.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: And if you put something Nate rate, you put Nate rate, when you get your tickets, if you put Nate rate in the promo bar, you get a discount on your tickets.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: because he did, he made a point of saying he didn't want people to have to spend a ton of money to see this movie.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Which even more so makes me think he knew that it was dumb.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: It could be, or he'd just be nice, you know.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: Billy Joel does that in his concert, so he won't let them sell out the first three rows.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: Then he sends his security people to the second balcony and gets whatever number of seats in the first two rows are and brings those people down.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: because he feels those that are real fans.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't want, he said in interview, he doesn't want, he doesn't want to look at the first two rows and see nothing but a bunch of celebrities who picked a ton of money for tickets.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: He'd rather see actual fans that have been following him since before he was a big name.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's pretty cool.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: I would do that.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's something I would do.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: All right, well, I think people will like it not a bad bad movie.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there've been worse movies.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: But when you set yourself up to be a comedy and you set yourself up to be like a Mr.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Mom want to be you're already putting the bar at a level and when you don't deliver at that level It's just kind of like I'm gonna do something I've never done.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna agree with you
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's not true.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: You have a group with me.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: And you've agreed with me on this.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: Really show.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: Really.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: Really.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I know.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't feel special.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: Moving on to the rest of the show.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is the portion where we talk about different things.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: We've gone we've been on a streak of like worst worst and best.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: We did we did worse not one worse We did best just say it clearly just think it out there It clearly Say it clearly.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: No say it clearly it clearly no say it clearly it
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: You think that was clearly I think it was the it is clearly I could have said shit That would not be it clearly if I said It no, that's still not it clearly clearly.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, clearly.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's not it I don't know what's going on with you today, but okay, any worse cats go through your list of worst costumes and I don't have three Okay
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: only have three.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: And one we talked about before in terms of worst casting, but it also, it falls to worst costume as soon as that was Genghis Khan with John Wayne.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the cast of being in that movie was also really horribly stereotypic and beyond ridiculous.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Electra, with common Electra was like, oh my god, terrible.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: Terrible, cast of me.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Did you actually watch
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: long time.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Every guy that was born when that movie was out was like oh my god she's incredibly hot looking in that.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: She's hot looking in a burlap sack.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: Did you back then she's in the beginning of scary movie running through the garden naked in the sprinkler's command.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: We're not, you're not talking about the right actress.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_02]: Carmen Electra.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Carmen Electra was not in Elect, oh wait.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: She was his gay movie.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, who?
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: What costume did you say was bad?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: Electra.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: Carmen Electra was not in Electra.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, she was.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, she was not.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: Who was it then?
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: The gal who was married to Ben Affleck for quite some time, who was no longer married to Ben Affleck.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think you are mistaken.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm exactly right.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: And unfortunately I can't think of her name right now I can see her face while I'm looking at you.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking it up, Armand.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead and look it up because you're wrong.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's Carmen Electra was not in Electra.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: She was in the beginning of Scary Movie, the original one.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: You're absolutely right.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: And she does scant her across a field of or a backyard full of...
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: Eventually in slow motion.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: right exactly, but no, she was not in it and I cannot believe that I cannot remember this girl's name, um, was that Jennifer Garner?
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Jennifer Garner was an elector, which is why I'm like, I don't think you're thinking about the right movie at all.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm I'm I'm so saying bad cost to me no matter how you listen to me with the comic book because
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's all the questions right.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just didn't like that.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's my choice.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: You can't tell me what I like and what I don't like and the last one Everybody can look at you and go.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: I I just misspoke that's all okay and the last one is white chicks with the wane brothers just What yeah Some movies to pick with like worst costumes you pick movies there were just like white chicks white chicks was just
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: But the class of me, I thought was horrible.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: Those are my choices.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: You cannot make my choices for me, Chris.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is still America for now.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: I understand if in the role of like trying to produce good content, I see here and I go, does you even do the homework?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because there's a ton of other movies that are out there.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: Their costumes are way worse than that.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, but those are my top three.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: Your title, your title to your opinions.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: Those are my top three, sir.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: So the first one that I'm going to start off with, and people are going to hate me for this and that's fine, but I've thought this for the longest time, the original Dune, which came out in 1984.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: great science fiction movie, great science fiction book.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: Some really good casting in the movie, but those costumes were so stiff that I feel like the actors were very restricted and could not do some of the things that they probably would have done in a body acting sort of way.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I could have been some, some...
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: I can go along.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: I can agree with you once more on that.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, I wasn't looking for your greens, but anyway, I know that you treasure that when when I do agree Fry, that next one, big on your list You done?
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: You never know.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's the point.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure you'll agree with this one too, the next one is Green Lantern.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: Ryan Reynolds.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just one of 11.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: So kind of like, what movies are you paying attention to because I can think of like, Green, I, I, well, you see here's the thing, you criticize me for bring too many and then if I keep it to just three, you criticize me again.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: It could be fucking mine.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: We need to call the whambulence for you today because it seems like you're real like,
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: Why do you have so many?
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: Why do you have so many worse days?
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Why do you have so many best days?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you only have three now?
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: Sybil?
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: All right, anyway.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: uh... yeah green hopefully people in the host civiliz uh... you just dated yourself so you you're over and done i did it myself all the way till i was eighteen you probably dated yourself till today actually uh... green lantern suddenly the last one that i'm gonna pick uh... you only have three because not because you had three not because you only had three but honestly i was just kind of like i don't really want to go all crazy about this uh... but i'm gonna go ahead with uh...
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, interesting.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go with Batman and Robin from 1977.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: George Clooney, who could forget the nipple Batman costume?
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was atrocious.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so many other people did, because they have heavily criticized for that.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: And how Campy and over the top everything was in that particular movie.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, I saw her color scheme didn't know anything.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: I liked that.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: That damn thing that I was bad cast to me.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: Never in the comic books was he ever in a suit that highlighted his nipples, ever.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know that because that was one, that was not 3D, that was 1D, that was flat art.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: You have a nipple.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: And you had his nipples, they would have done that in the flat art that you're speaking of.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: They had no way to do this.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: It was only one dimensional, comic books are one dimensional.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's very easy to show with shadows and coloring and other textures, but way to make it look like, yes, they do it all the time when they draw pictures of women all the time they do it.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think you are, I think you are grasping at straws because I think you're realizing that the Batman and Robin movie, the cast of me was fine.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: It was appropriate to the movie.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Did you hit up a, I can't, I was going to say, suppose the toy, but that's not the right word.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: Did you hit up a dispenser toy?
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: Did you hit up a dispenser on your way here?
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like, in hell, some, some like, some weed or something?
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're like on a different planet today.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway,
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just speaking truth, okay, okay.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: When watching the chosen and I'm starting to get what the whole Jesus thing was.
- 30:57[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: He was basically a stand-up comic.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: Walked around the shows that some magic, he was a magic, magic guy too.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, loads of fishes.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: He was a, that would have fooled pen and teller.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_02]: He never made anything.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: How was he a carpenter?
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: No one to buy, but of newer Old Testament, does it say, Jesus made a table?
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: It said he grew up as a carpenter.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: His father was a carpenter.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: He learned the trade from his father.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he didn't do it my father was a janitor.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a janitor.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, sometimes you sometimes I have to clean up your shit, so maybe I'm a janitor.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: See?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: Weakly.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Weakly.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: To squeakly.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: Truth.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're speaking truth.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: So that our listeners get the truth.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: unlike someone I know who is illusionary and thinking that showing Batman's nipples is a bad thing that's what kept the criminals distracted clearly you have a thing for Batman and his nipples not his there we go yeah I think Robin mighta I don't think either one of them everyone on a date
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm just saying with you on that.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, hey folks, that's going to be the show unless you have something else you want to add about Batman and his nipples or something else.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Keaton was it man enough to show his nipples when he did Batman.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just saying.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: Anything else you have to say?
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: I saw Michael Keaton.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: I watched.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: the spider man where he's the the bird guy.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: Vulture.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I like them in that.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't see Beetlejuice once.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: Not once.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: I just saw that character.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: Watch Batman.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: And he's just Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: You want to piece me?
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: to say.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, folks, that's our show.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's been great fun.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully we'll get more download to your friends, subscribe, share, leave comments, send gifts, whatever it takes.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, for all the pickleball playing you do, I'm surprised that you don't have like something you give to all the pickleball players.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: Even your favorite person of all time, the Trump supporter, I'm surprised you don't give him like, hey, listen to my podcast thing.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: I do them.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: I have pick up all players listening.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: A several.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: I said that on purpose because I'm sure that's the other several that you're referring to.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: Especially also can I call you there and we did the pick up all show.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody who's texting me, when's that coming out, when's it coming out, when's it coming out, when's it coming out?
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I have pick up.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: I have can I probably have.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: Probably have group texts is up to 100 people who play play pick up all with and they are very supportive.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you to all his pick-a-wall players.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: You can tell him how much he sucks next time you see him.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: They don't say I suck.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: On the contrary.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure the Trump supporter would say you suck.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't talk to him anymore.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't play with him.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: I play against him because I like beaten him, but I don't play with him.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_02]: I have a line I draw.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: And there comes in the whole Batman and just nipples thing about how you play with them.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: And there you go.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's the show.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_02]: Circle of life.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: Lion King.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: The nipple circle of life.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: The seep.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: See what you did there.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: Next week, we'll review a disclosure day.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, we'll talk about the movies that are coming out.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll go over, we're soundtrack.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: you said you were going to go see master's at the universe instead of the disclosure disclosure no i said we would review disclosure did it and then i would also add a bonus review of master's of the universe oh so i don't get a bonus review if you want to go see master's you can you want to go see one of the other movies go see one of the other boys say why do you get to review two and I only get to review one eight
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: you feel as whatever you need to do to make yourself feel special.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do it.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to do this closure and then I'm going to review Mr. McGill because we've never reviewed Mr. McGill.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you have your review Mr. McGill.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: I talk about it.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: I talk about it.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: But I have never reviewed it.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: Spare us all the review of Mr. McGill.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: You are the only person on the face of this earth that likes that movie.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: Mr. Leslie Nielsen.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm sure he comes you to comedic genius.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: I can't argue with that that he was a very intelligent comedian.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: I can cannot say that about in Hibarakatzi, but that's it.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: And that's going to be the show folks, certain next week for episode number 41.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: 41.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: which is going to be worse soundtracks.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about disclosure day, and who knows what other movie we might bonus review because it will be somebody's feelings are heard that he doesn't get to review more than one.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's the show folks.
