Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 2: Savannah Guthrie's mom.
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark sim On seventeen w momar well thirty five degrees today.
- 0:14Speaker 1: It's gonna practice eight wave here today. Lots to get
- 0:18Speaker 1: to this hour. The Savannah Guthrie story is so sad.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Savannah Guthrie's mother lives in Phoenix. The sister, her sister
- 0:29Speaker 1: lives near the mother. Some of the family lives near
- 0:32Speaker 1: the mother. They took her out to dinner, they brought
- 0:35Speaker 1: her home, dropped her off, she went home. This was
- 0:39Speaker 1: Saturday night, and then Sunday mornings she didn't show up
- 0:43Speaker 1: at church, which she always does, and then neighbor's family
- 0:47Speaker 1: everybody got suspicious, went to the house and checked. She
- 0:50Speaker 1: wasn't there No sign of the mother, who's in her eighties.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And the mother's very sharp. No it's not an Alzheimer's
- 0:58Speaker 1: thing or dimension. Mother's a sharp as can be, but
- 1:01Speaker 1: not very mobile. She can't walk more than really fifty feet,
- 1:06Speaker 1: can't really go out on her own. So they call
- 1:09Speaker 1: the police to look for the mother. The police investigate
- 1:11Speaker 1: and it's now believed the mother was taken from her
- 1:15Speaker 1: house because everything was left there. The mother, their phone
- 1:20Speaker 1: was left, her car keys, her keys, everything, and she
- 1:25Speaker 1: has medicine she has to take every day that keeps
- 1:27Speaker 1: her alive. The medicine was there, she didn't take it
- 1:30Speaker 1: with her. Then the police later said they found some
- 1:32Speaker 1: blood on the scene, they found signs of forced entry.
- 1:36Speaker 1: So it's believed somewhere overnight Saturday, somebody went into her
- 1:40Speaker 1: house and kidnapped her mother. The Savannah Guthrie of the
- 1:44Speaker 1: Today's Show from NBC of course left work and has
- 1:46Speaker 1: been there with the police trying to find the mother.
- 1:49Speaker 1: They have absolutely no idea what happened. Horrifying situation. It's
- 1:55Speaker 1: all over the news here, so you can imagine in Phoenix,
- 1:58Speaker 1: it's all over the news. I mean, why would somebody
- 2:01Speaker 1: take this woman out of her house? Possible kidnapping or
- 2:05Speaker 1: something like that. But they haven't heard from any kidnappers.
- 2:07Speaker 1: They haven't had any ransom demands. And that medicine that
- 2:13Speaker 1: she needs to stay alive. It's now like three days.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I don't know how long she can go without that medicine.
- 2:19Speaker 1: But very very very sad story. So you know, you
- 2:25Speaker 1: get no taxi cab and there's that TV screen now
- 2:28Speaker 1: and something's always playing on the TV screen you get
- 2:31Speaker 1: in the cab. Sometimes it's a channel seth and I
- 2:33Speaker 1: witness news. Here's a quick news summary, and then they
- 2:36Speaker 1: give you a little weather, or it could be anything.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a preview for a TV show. You pay
- 2:43Speaker 1: for that. You can buy that. In other words, when
- 2:45Speaker 1: you get in the cab and you see something on
- 2:47Speaker 1: that TV screen, they're paying to be on the TV
- 2:49Speaker 1: screen in every cab, like Channel seven will pay for that.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Anybody can do it. In fact, there's like an annoying woman,
- 2:56Speaker 1: so real annoying Yenta who does this amateur podcast, who
- 2:59Speaker 1: pays to be in every taxi cab and as soon
- 3:02Speaker 1: as you get in there, how were you with that voice?
- 3:05Speaker 1: And apparently Newsmax had made a deal with the taxi
- 3:09Speaker 1: cabs to be in there, because Channel seven did it
- 3:12Speaker 1: for a while, but this was Newsmax doing. Here's a
- 3:14Speaker 1: one minute summary and it wasn't anything partisan. Is a
- 3:17Speaker 1: minute summary of the news that day, and it was
- 3:20Speaker 1: very well done. It's Newsmax, it's a good TV network.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So they paid worked out the deal to be in
- 3:26Speaker 1: all the cabs. Well, the Manhattan Borough president went crazy
- 3:31Speaker 1: and wants Newsmax banned from the taxi cabs. Now there's
- 3:35Speaker 1: absolutely no reason for that. Again, Newsmax's a perfectly legitimate
- 3:39Speaker 1: TV network, and the thing they put in the cabs
- 3:41Speaker 1: wasn't any kind of partisan political talk. It was straight
- 3:45Speaker 1: news done by a straight anchor person. So it's absolutely ridiculous.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Newsmax is fighting this, But that's your typical left wing
- 3:54Speaker 1: partisan Manhattan Borough President of New York City type politics
- 3:59Speaker 1: trying to ban them from the cabs. A nobody objected
- 4:01Speaker 1: to Channel seven, and there's nobody more biased than ABC News.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Just watched the Sunday Morning Show if you want to see.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But the double standard unbelievable. In New York City, the
- 4:15Speaker 1: Kennedy Center, President Trump announcing they'll close it for two
- 4:18Speaker 1: years now. Of course, as soon as he says they're
- 4:22Speaker 1: closing the Kennedy Center for two years to rebuild redo it,
- 4:27Speaker 1: the left the news media goes crazy. What kind of
- 4:29Speaker 1: crazy Trump thing is this closing? How dare he even
- 4:33Speaker 1: think of why this is outrageous? Let me just give
- 4:36Speaker 1: you the facts. This was always planned long before Donald
- 4:39Speaker 1: Trump got there. The Kennedy Center is totally dilapidated. It's
- 4:43Speaker 1: got all kinds of internal problems in the building. Congress
- 4:47Speaker 1: a while back, this has nothing to do with Trump.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Congress allocated the money to rebuild the Kennedy Center. It's
- 4:54Speaker 1: not a Trump idea. The government has been planning this
- 4:57Speaker 1: for a while. Congress actually voted the money in a
- 5:00Speaker 1: while back before Trump got there to redo the Kennedy Center.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Now you think, well, they're going to fix up some
- 5:08Speaker 1: things inside. Now it looks like they're gonna have to
- 5:10Speaker 1: gut the whole place and literally take it down to
- 5:13Speaker 1: the girders. And because when asked about it yesterday, uh
- 5:17Speaker 1: Trump actually used the phrase we say, well, you keep
- 5:19Speaker 1: anything the way it is. He actually used the phrase,
- 5:24Speaker 1: well we'll keep the steel and some of the marble
- 5:28Speaker 1: marble meaning the floor. Where he says, well keep the steel,
- 5:32Speaker 1: that assumes they're taking it down to the h the
- 5:35Speaker 1: actual girdis. So apparently the building has serious problems. Now
- 5:40Speaker 1: when you go in there, it looks a little dilapidated,
- 5:42Speaker 1: it looks old, run down, and you'd imagine that there's
- 5:47Speaker 1: problems in the walls, things that need to be fixed,
- 5:50Speaker 1: the electrical system, the uh the you know, the stage equipment,
- 5:54Speaker 1: the technical stuff. But no, it turns out it's much
- 5:57Speaker 1: more than that. The building has tremendous mold problems, h
- 6:01Speaker 1: VAC problems, they're gonna have to like cut the whole thing. Now,
- 6:05Speaker 1: if you think this is a bad idea right now,
- 6:08Speaker 1: you gotta stop and think how lucky you are. Right now,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you know how lucky you are. Out of all the
- 6:13Speaker 1: times this could have happened with any of the forty
- 6:16Speaker 1: seven presidents, just by incredible luck, the time this is happening,
- 6:21Speaker 1: you got the president who's an absolute expert builder. Can
- 6:25Speaker 1: imagine Joe Biden trying to build a building. Imagine George W. Bush,
- 6:30Speaker 1: even Obama try to build a building. Well, look at
- 6:32Speaker 1: the Obama Presidential Library in Chicago. Everybody's suing him because
- 6:37Speaker 1: it looks like the most hideous, ugly building ever put up.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And it's an absolute monstrosity. It's already like a hundreds
- 6:45Speaker 1: of millions over budget or a billion over budget. Nobody
- 6:48Speaker 1: can figure out why. But you got Trump doing it,
- 6:50Speaker 1: which means it'll be done at the proper cost, no waste,
- 6:54Speaker 1: no fraud, no bloat. The construction, the technique, the materials,
- 6:58Speaker 1: everything will be absolutely first class. You couldn't be luckier.
- 7:02Speaker 1: They have one of the finest builders in the world
- 7:04Speaker 1: in office. When you need to rebuild this place, so
- 7:07Speaker 1: it'll take two years. And the other thing is, once
- 7:11Speaker 1: it's rebuilt, it could look a lot different. Now it's Trump,
- 7:14Speaker 1: so you hope it's not too you know, too gold shiny, glittery.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You don't want it to mar a LAGOI. That's not
- 7:23Speaker 1: gonna look right either. But he'll do a great job
- 7:26Speaker 1: on it. So that's that's about to happen. Hey, Washington,
- 7:30Speaker 1: d C. All the crime statistics coming out, it's incredibly safe.
- 7:35Speaker 1: President Trump sent his National Guard, his troops, is everything
- 7:40Speaker 1: into d C, put Janine Piro in as the district attorney.
- 7:44Speaker 1: They have cleaned up crime in d C. And it
- 7:47Speaker 1: was one of the most dangerous cities in America. Crime
- 7:50Speaker 1: out of control, people afraid to go out. Now it's
- 7:53Speaker 1: one of the safest cities in America. Even the Washington
- 7:57Speaker 1: Post had to admit it.
- 7:58Speaker 2: DC is now considered a very place and it should
- 8:01Speaker 2: be a Sun nation's capital. And we said in the Soldiers.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I read the Washington Post this weekend. It was incredible.
- 8:07Speaker 2: They were trying to determine how come how did we
- 8:10Speaker 2: get so low numbers, the low numbers in DC because
- 8:13Speaker 2: we have very little crime, if any, And they talked
- 8:17Speaker 2: about everything except for the fact that we put our
- 8:20Speaker 2: National Guard and great soldiers inside our city. They didn't
- 8:24Speaker 2: want to mention that. It's how dishonest, but.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Pretty good, amazing job there cleaning it up.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Hey.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You know here in New York City, Jessica Tish releasing
- 8:35Speaker 1: crime numbers for January this past month, and the number
- 8:38Speaker 1: of homicides was down sixty percent. Shooting incidents were down
- 8:42Speaker 1: twenty percent. This is compared to a year ago at
- 8:44Speaker 1: this time. Overall major crime down seven percent. In major
- 8:48Speaker 1: categories burglary drop thirty percent, retail theft down sixteen percent,
- 8:55Speaker 1: robberies down ten percent. This is for the month of January.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Now you must put a big asterisk on this. It
- 9:02Speaker 1: was like ten degrees below zero. It was freezing cold.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Sometimes that it takes care of crime. It was like
- 9:10Speaker 1: so cold, people just weren't out on the streets.
- 9:13Speaker 4: You know.
- 9:13Speaker 1: They used to say, was that old expression, rain is
- 9:16Speaker 1: the best policeman. If it was pouring rain and storming,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you wouldn't have any street crime because everybody would be inside.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Now that trash that's piling up all over New York
- 9:27Speaker 1: garbage not being picked up. There's mountains of garbage ten
- 9:30Speaker 1: feet high. There's snow banks ten feet high. Apparently it
- 9:33Speaker 1: was all around Gracey Mansion as well. But Gracy Mansion
- 9:37Speaker 1: residents started yelling and screaming. So Mom, Donnie got it
- 9:40Speaker 1: cleaned up all around Gracy Mansion. They picked up all
- 9:43Speaker 1: the garbage and the snow. So if you're saying the
- 9:46Speaker 1: guy's incompetent, he can't get it done, he got it
- 9:50Speaker 1: done only around his house. But it's a start, only
- 9:54Speaker 1: around his house. Maybe give it a couple of years,
- 9:57Speaker 1: maybe he'll get to your house too. Bi Eilish getting
- 10:00Speaker 1: a lot of flack for her rant at the Grammy Awards.
- 10:05Speaker 1: She was yelling and screaming about stolen land. You can't
- 10:08Speaker 1: be free or not. Nobody's legal if you're on stolen land.
- 10:12Speaker 1: What the hell is It's something to do with the
- 10:15Speaker 1: Native Americans, the Indians, the stolen land. Now, everybody pointing
- 10:19Speaker 1: out she has a massive mansion in Los Angeles to
- 10:22Speaker 1: Hollywood Hills with armed guards and gates and fences, and
- 10:28Speaker 1: according to her own theory, it's on stolen land. In fact,
- 10:32Speaker 1: there was once an Indian tribe that had that land,
- 10:35Speaker 1: so it is stolen land. People pointing out to her
- 10:38Speaker 1: that if she's really serious about this. Have her give
- 10:40Speaker 1: the mansion back, or let some Native Americans move in
- 10:44Speaker 1: with her, let it open the gate and let them
- 10:46Speaker 1: use it too. But on the other end, it's Billy elish.
- 10:48Speaker 1: She's like, you know, got the brain of a twelve
- 10:50Speaker 1: year old, doesn't know what the else she's talking about.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You can't get that manditor. Hey, we're talking about the
- 10:56Speaker 1: economy doing well. Gas price is way down, except in
- 11:00Speaker 1: New York and California, where they artificially keeping them high.
- 11:02Speaker 1: But across America gases like two dollars and thirty cents
- 11:06Speaker 1: a gallon, and rents have declined nationwide. Rent decline. Apartment
- 11:12Speaker 1: rents just dropped to the lowest level in four years,
- 11:15Speaker 1: according to the latest statistics. Hey, you know the Epstein files.
- 11:19Speaker 1: There's a lot of people in there. You might not know.
- 11:21Speaker 1: There's a guy at CBS News. He's a contributor, Peter Asher.
- 11:25Speaker 1: He's all through the Epstein files. He's emailing back and
- 11:29Speaker 1: forth and back and forth with Epstein, all about women,
- 11:32Speaker 1: and it gets pretty graphic. He's talking about how would
- 11:38Speaker 1: you put this, He's talking about performing oral sex on
- 11:42Speaker 1: a woman. And in one of the emails, he's joking
- 11:47Speaker 1: around with Epstein, and he says, well, blank is indeed
- 11:52Speaker 1: low carb. I'm not sure if it's gluten free. I
- 11:56Speaker 1: mean disgusting stuff, real childish, stupid, disgusting stuff. This is
- 12:01Speaker 1: a CBS news guy. He put out a statement. Finally,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm very ashamed. My crude emails are indefensible. I apologize
- 12:11Speaker 1: and regret putting myself in a position where emails, some
- 12:15Speaker 1: of them embarrassing, tasteless, and indefensible, are now public and
- 12:19Speaker 1: that is on me. I was never on his plane,
- 12:23Speaker 1: never on his island, never present at any sex parties. Yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: so this guy actually got a pretty raw deal. He's
- 12:31Speaker 1: busy talking about it. Meantime he's getting invited to nothing.
- 12:34Speaker 1: He wasn't that important to actually get invited to anything, he
- 12:38Speaker 1: said at that point in my career. He basically admits
- 12:41Speaker 1: he got starstruck. I had little exposure to prominent people,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and that level of access was novel to me. Everything
- 12:48Speaker 1: about him seemed excessive and exclusive, including the fact that
- 12:52Speaker 1: he lived in the largest home in all of Manhattan,
- 12:55Speaker 1: owned a Boeing seven to twenty seven, hosted parties with
- 12:58Speaker 1: the most powerful and prom leaders. Okay, it's not the
- 13:03Speaker 1: biggest mansion in Manhattan. It's on seventy first Street. It
- 13:08Speaker 1: was a school, so it's bigger than the town house.
- 13:10Speaker 1: It was an actual private school. It's big, but there's
- 13:12Speaker 1: bigger houses. And yeah, the parties were pretty good. But
- 13:18Speaker 1: you know the one thing about Epstein. When you met Epstein,
- 13:20Speaker 1: he was dressed like the Duke of Windsor, like the
- 13:24Speaker 1: most dressed, like an aristocrat. Unbelievable the way he dressed.
- 13:31Speaker 1: And then he'd open his mouth and he'd say how
- 13:33Speaker 1: are you with that voice, and he would talk like
- 13:35Speaker 1: this and stuff about New York, and he would blow
- 13:39Speaker 1: the whole thing there. But if you were easily impressed,
- 13:41Speaker 1: you could get impressed with him. Hey, we'll take some
- 13:44Speaker 1: calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 13:47Speaker 1: seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one
- 13:51Speaker 1: zero seven ten. Hey give money to Bruce Blakeman. He
- 13:54Speaker 1: should be governor. I'm looking at the numbers here. Blake
- 13:58Speaker 1: was doing well in fundraising, but he's all at three
- 14:00Speaker 1: four million. But this local is like a twenty five million.
- 14:04Speaker 1: She's been collecting money for years. I think you go
- 14:06Speaker 1: to Blakeman for New York dot com, but start donating.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Start volunteers. She's going to get to catch up money
- 14:11Speaker 1: wise with her. She's been spending a lot of money too.
- 14:15Speaker 1: But you got to get rid of this Kathy hcal
- 14:17Speaker 1: with her. We're going to be a sanctuary state. She's
- 14:20Speaker 1: going to ban ICE. She's gonna do this.
- 14:23Speaker 5: You're not using our local police. I need them to
- 14:25Speaker 5: protect the communities and not have this distrust. And this
- 14:29Speaker 5: is what we're hearing that people are not distinguishing between
- 14:32Speaker 5: local police. And we try so hard here to have
- 14:34Speaker 5: a positive relationship with our communities of trust. And I
- 14:38Speaker 5: want my police going after the murders, the rapists, the
- 14:41Speaker 5: gun traffickers, being availed for emergencies and if they're off
- 14:46Speaker 5: they're being deputized by ICE. One of these agreements that
- 14:49Speaker 5: just a few of our counties are doing, they're being
- 14:51Speaker 5: distracted and I do not want that, and I'm not
- 14:54Speaker 5: going to be supporting that. And we're going to change
- 14:56Speaker 5: the law in the state.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Of New York.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Well, it's a great space. She doesn't know what he
- 14:59Speaker 1: else you're talking about. But at the Great Speech, look
- 15:01Speaker 1: at Nassau County where Blakeman made a full agreement to
- 15:05Speaker 1: coordinate and cooperate with ICE, in lending them detectives whatever
- 15:08Speaker 1: they needed, jail cells. And you know how many people
- 15:11Speaker 1: that got off the streets of Nassau County, criminals exactly
- 15:15Speaker 1: what she's talking about, murderers, rapist, dangerous criminals. They ICE
- 15:19Speaker 1: got them all off the streets. And did you ever
- 15:22Speaker 1: hear anything about it? No, because in Nassau County was peaceful,
- 15:25Speaker 1: it was orderly. Cooperate, coordinate with them, and everything's fine.
- 15:30Speaker 1: You know, in many other cities in America, ICE is
- 15:34Speaker 1: running much bigger operations. You know, Minnesota's three thousand. ICE
- 15:39Speaker 1: in Dallas is like forty four thousand, No problem at all.
- 15:42Speaker 1: It's orderly because the locals cooperate, coordinate with them, it's perfect. Hey, well,
- 15:47Speaker 1: take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two one
- 15:50Speaker 1: zero seven ten? Isn't there in Mark on Demand by
- 15:54Speaker 1: setting a preset for his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Now back to Mark, or Hey, let's take some calls.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Saint James, way out there,
- 16:07Speaker 1: way out there in Suffolk County. Mike, how you doing?
- 16:10Speaker 3: Hello?
- 16:11Speaker 4: Mark?
- 16:12Speaker 3: I know it's history, but when was elected in November,
- 16:20Speaker 3: did they require voter identification.
- 16:23Speaker 1: In New York City. It's New York City. They don't
- 16:25Speaker 1: require anything. It's New York City. Even if you had
- 16:29Speaker 1: voter idea. You give idea to everybody here. But I
- 16:32Speaker 1: look the way you said it. What do you call him?
- 16:33Speaker 1: Zoemar mom dom or there is the Al Sharpton pronunciation.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Ma'm dammy. Let's go to uh Dave in Belmar Dave.
- 16:41Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 16:43Speaker 6: I'm doing fine? Mark, Hi bout yourself?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Let me check a not bad? Not bad?
- 16:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm just shoveling out, still shoveling out here in
- 16:52Speaker 6: bell maar. So, but I wanted to answer you a question.
- 16:56Speaker 6: Oh and I love the podcast now that you.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Have a bonus segment. Yeah, yeah, you listen to if
- 17:03Speaker 1: a podcast listener, you get an extra show on the weekends,
- 17:06Speaker 1: you get like a special that's amazing. It really is,
- 17:09Speaker 1: isn't it. It should be like in a museum or
- 17:11Speaker 1: something that's so amazing.
- 17:12Speaker 6: It's like, okay, doctor right, yeah, and doctor Savage is
- 17:17Speaker 6: on there. I haven't heard him in a day, man.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Michael Savage. You remember he used to be on w
- 17:21Speaker 1: O or was every night six to nine?
- 17:23Speaker 5: No?
- 17:24Speaker 6: No, he's awesome, Yeah, he's awesome. And I have one
- 17:28Speaker 6: question for you. Maybe you know the answer that Gavin
- 17:31Speaker 6: Newsen is setting up a helping hand for Don Lemon
- 17:36Speaker 6: and it's called Lemonade. Is that true?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Uh, you got to work on these things a little more.
- 17:41Speaker 1: You're onto something there, but you need to tweak that
- 17:44Speaker 1: one a little. It's not ready for being out of here.
- 17:46Speaker 1: But thanks for calling. Let's go to Kenny in Bayside, Kenny,
- 17:50Speaker 1: how you doing, aim Lock?
- 17:53Speaker 4: The third world has known how to shovel snow they
- 17:55Speaker 4: don't make any cutthroughs.
- 17:57Speaker 6: The old people get off the buses. I'm seeing it
- 18:00Speaker 6: looks like an obstacle court.
- 18:01Speaker 5: It's disgusting.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Oh, I know. But if you go to Westchester it's
- 18:04Speaker 1: like that too. If you go to Connecticut it's like
- 18:06Speaker 1: that too. In Long Island everywhere, they just can't well.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You know. The problem is when it snows like that,
- 18:12Speaker 1: then it warms up and it melts. It melts over
- 18:15Speaker 1: the next day or two. This is the first time
- 18:17Speaker 1: in a million years we've had one of these snowstorms
- 18:19Speaker 1: where it stays below freezing for ten days afterwards. That's
- 18:24Speaker 1: the problem. Let's go to fran in massive Pequa fran
- 18:27Speaker 1: How you doing, hey, Mark?
- 18:29Speaker 7: Stop making excuses. I was just in Riverhead and at
- 18:32Speaker 7: the bus stop. This poor guy was in the street
- 18:34Speaker 7: with a stuff on the snow, waiting for a bus.
- 18:36Speaker 7: I almost wanted to get him ride, but these days
- 18:38Speaker 7: you can't because they'll probably stab you.
- 18:40Speaker 6: But anyway, what are you talking about?
- 18:42Speaker 7: It the buses you just were talking about the bus stops.
- 18:46Speaker 4: With the snow.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Yeah, so the guy.
- 18:48Speaker 7: I was just in Riverhead at the red light and
- 18:50Speaker 7: the guy is in the street with his stuff on
- 18:52Speaker 7: the snow waiting for the bus. The bus stop was
- 18:56Speaker 7: completely you know.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, But that's my point. It's not Mum Donnie, although
- 19:01Speaker 1: he's bad, but it's everywhere.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Point is this Billie Eilish and these other morons. I mean,
- 19:07Speaker 7: this is bad.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Mark.
- 19:09Speaker 7: What I want to ask you is I mean, I
- 19:12Speaker 7: mean the country is completely gone. They're voting Democrat no
- 19:17Speaker 7: matter what. So now what I want to know is
- 19:19Speaker 7: how many people in like the middle of the country
- 19:22Speaker 7: don't have They only have two, four, seven and eleven,
- 19:26Speaker 7: you know all In other words, they just get the
- 19:28Speaker 7: their liberals lie every day.
- 19:30Speaker 6: On the news.
- 19:31Speaker 1: First of all, you gotta remember you live in the
- 19:33Speaker 1: middle of the New York City area. Youah, all you
- 19:35Speaker 1: hear is this left wing, this left wing in the
- 19:37Speaker 1: middle of America. They don't hear any of this in
- 19:39Speaker 1: the middle of America. They have no idea who Morning
- 19:41Speaker 1: Joe is. They've never seen MSNBC. MSNBC's audience is entirely
- 19:47Speaker 1: in New York, DC, LA. They have no audience in
- 19:51Speaker 1: the middle of America.
- 19:52Speaker 2: You know.
- 19:52Speaker 1: They always in the politics. They call it the Green
- 19:54Speaker 1: Bay Diner test, which is go to Green Bay, Wisconsin,
- 19:58Speaker 1: walk into a diner and see what people are talking about.
- 20:00Speaker 1: They're not talking about any of this. It doesn't reach them.
- 20:03Speaker 1: They don't read the New York Times, they don't look
- 20:06Speaker 1: at the Washington Post. They have no idea who any
- 20:09Speaker 1: who's on CNN. They don't. You got to remember CNN
- 20:12Speaker 1: is like four hundred thousand in the audience at MSNBC.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Sometimes they'll hit a million, but most of the day
- 20:18Speaker 1: it's like six seven hundred thousand people. Nobody sees it
- 20:22Speaker 1: in the middle of America. It's just here. You live
- 20:25Speaker 1: in the bubble, DC, LA, New York. You get into
- 20:30Speaker 1: the normal, regular, real America. They've never heard of any
- 20:34Speaker 1: of this crap. Oh, when we come back, Bill O'Reilly
- 20:37Speaker 1: will be with us next. Let's see what he's got
- 20:39Speaker 1: to say about all this coming up on seven to
- 20:41Speaker 1: ten WR. Let's get back to the Mark Simone Show
- 20:45Speaker 1: on WR. Hey, Bill O'Reilly, the number one TV anchor
- 20:50Speaker 1: for decades, the TV show bigger than ever. You can
- 20:53Speaker 1: see it at Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly dot com.
- 20:57Speaker 1: He's the best selling nonfiction author on Earth. Latest book,
- 21:00Speaker 1: Confronting Evil. You can order that. He also make sure
- 21:04Speaker 1: you watch his YouTube channel. A lot of great stuff there,
- 21:07Speaker 1: and you can get his column, the TV show of
- 21:10Speaker 1: the books everything at billoreilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly, How
- 21:14Speaker 1: you doing?
- 21:16Speaker 4: Busy morning? Just like you?
- 21:18Speaker 1: And Hey, let me ask you about Don Lemon? Is
- 21:21Speaker 1: this a mistake going after him? I mean, I love
- 21:23Speaker 1: going after him, but is this going to create a
- 21:25Speaker 1: whole new career for him? Put him back at back
- 21:27Speaker 1: at CNN.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Yeah, Trump knows it. It's now gonna put him back
- 21:34Speaker 4: at CNN. I don't think you'll hire him, but he'll
- 21:37Speaker 4: get money from it, and he won't have to pay
- 21:39Speaker 4: the lawyer bills. That's the key. When a radical leftist
- 21:44Speaker 4: gets in trouble, particularly in a legal area. There's always
- 21:50Speaker 4: groups that come in and pick up the tab. So
- 21:54Speaker 4: Lemon Hire's a guy named Abby Lowell represents the Clintons.
- 21:57Speaker 4: I grew up with Abby Lowell town and he's a
- 22:02Speaker 4: very good lawyer and about twelve hundred bucks an hour. Yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 4: let me divide this. I'm talking to you for about
- 22:10Speaker 4: fifteen minutes. So if I were Labby Lowell, you know him,
- 22:15Speaker 4: you know about four hundred bucks and but Lemon's are
- 22:19Speaker 4: not gonna pay anything of that. And he'll probably be
- 22:21Speaker 4: acquitted if it ever comes to a trial, which he won't.
- 22:27Speaker 4: And so there's no real downside for Lemon at all.
- 22:31Speaker 4: But is he going to catapult him to something higher?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Now? Well, but it'll revive his career a little, won't it.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Yeah? I don't think so. Okay, Lemon's a guy who
- 22:42Speaker 4: runs a podcast or a six trillion podcasts in the world.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Anybody listening to a w R now want to listen
- 22:51Speaker 4: to Don Lemon's podcast? I don't think so. You know,
- 22:55Speaker 4: you've got to have the product. You know, you can
- 22:58Speaker 4: get notoriety and you can get attention. But if somebody's
- 23:02Speaker 4: gonna devote two hours of their day to listening to
- 23:07Speaker 4: Mark Simone on the radio. Well, Mark Simone's going to
- 23:10Speaker 4: have to deliver a product that makes that worthwhile. And
- 23:13Speaker 4: with all due respect to Don Lemon, who I have
- 23:15Speaker 4: no animus about. I don't dislike him. I run it
- 23:20Speaker 4: them occasionally, his product is dull. It's the same, you know, attack, attack,
- 23:27Speaker 4: attack anybody who's conservative or doesn't agree with Don Lennon. Yeah,
- 23:31Speaker 4: you know your life's too short for that.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Hey, if you're Bill O'Reilly and you were number one,
- 23:36Speaker 1: number one anchor for twenty something years, you can launch
- 23:38Speaker 1: your own podcast. But if you're Don Lemon in third
- 23:41Speaker 1: place with the two hundred viewers, how are you going
- 23:43Speaker 1: to start your own podcast? It doesn't he make sense.
- 23:47Speaker 4: It's all about expectations. So when I left Fox News
- 23:51Speaker 4: nearly nine years ago, I took with me a whole
- 23:56Speaker 4: bunch of my crew over there, and we started almost
- 23:59Speaker 4: immediately a news service. So I don't do a podcast.
- 24:03Speaker 4: I do a news program. And the revenues in the
- 24:07Speaker 4: news program are in the tens of millions, and we
- 24:10Speaker 4: make a ton of money, but we deliver. And I'll
- 24:15Speaker 4: just give you a very very vivid example. So this
- 24:18Speaker 4: morning I spent a good amount of time on the
- 24:21Speaker 4: phone with President Trump, and the President called me because
- 24:28Speaker 4: he watches the No spind News many evenings and he
- 24:33Speaker 4: saw our reporting on the guy in Shanghai, China, nevill
- 24:39Speaker 4: Roy Singham, who's pumping money into the far left groups
- 24:43Speaker 4: in the USA. We're then paying violent protesters to go
- 24:48Speaker 4: to Minneapolis, Portland, LA and cause trouble. So the President
- 24:53Speaker 4: calls me after he sees the report and asks me
- 24:59Speaker 4: to send over some of the materials that we've gathered
- 25:03Speaker 4: some of the information, which I did. Now some journalists
- 25:08Speaker 4: might not have, but I'm doing it for my country
- 25:13Speaker 4: because this is insidious. You get a foreign power, an adversary,
- 25:17Speaker 4: because Singham works with Beijing, who are pumping tens of
- 25:23Speaker 4: millions of dollars into the protest movement in the USA.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Everybody's got to know that. And here's a kicker on it.
- 25:32Speaker 4: A lot of these groups that are doing it are
- 25:34Speaker 4: tax free groups. If five one sees wow, So I
- 25:39Speaker 4: spoke with the President about that's how high level that
- 25:42Speaker 4: my operation is. So if you want to compare to
- 25:46Speaker 4: Don Lemon, who's sitting around in a sweatshirt telling everybody
- 25:50Speaker 4: how bad Trump is, Okay, you could have the choice Yeah.
- 25:55Speaker 1: You were the first to really reveal this Neville Royce
- 25:58Speaker 1: Singham being behind a lot of this. But he lives
- 26:01Speaker 1: in Shanghai. He's partners with the Chinese Communist government. Does
- 26:05Speaker 1: that make him Is it possible to touch this guy
- 26:07Speaker 1: because he's over there?
- 26:10Speaker 4: Uh, he sets one foot on us soil and'll arrest him. Yeah,
- 26:15Speaker 4: but he knows that, he knows it, but they can't
- 26:19Speaker 4: get him out of there. He's a billionaire. I'm sure
- 26:24Speaker 4: he's brought his way, you know, into the Chinese bureaucracy,
- 26:28Speaker 4: and he is doing very bad things to this country.
- 26:32Speaker 4: And I broke the story. Others had mentioned it, but
- 26:35Speaker 4: not at the level that we had. And the story,
- 26:40Speaker 4: interestingly enough, was picked up all over the world except
- 26:45Speaker 4: by the Network News and America totally ignored it. Why
- 26:50Speaker 4: would they do that? Why would you ignore a story
- 26:53Speaker 4: like this which is enormous because it doesn't help in
- 26:57Speaker 4: their quest to damage President Trump. So if you have
- 27:02Speaker 4: outside money coming in to agitate violence about Ice and
- 27:07Speaker 4: you expose that, that helps Trump, that doesn't hurt him,
- 27:12Speaker 4: And that's why they ignored the story.
- 27:14Speaker 1: So guys like a Soros or Singham, it's more than
- 27:18Speaker 1: just trying to win the next election. They look like
- 27:20Speaker 1: they're really trying to overturn America. What is motivating Oh yeah,
- 27:24Speaker 1: but what motivates you?
- 27:25Speaker 6: Well?
- 27:26Speaker 4: Singham is a communist. He's a hardcore communist, self proclaimed
- 27:33Speaker 4: Srow has never really defined himself. He's ninety five, he
- 27:36Speaker 4: doesn't have much ADO. It's his son that runs it now.
- 27:40Speaker 4: And they see the world in a very peculiar way.
- 27:44Speaker 4: Open society, openness, open that, do you let everything go,
- 27:49Speaker 4: don't prosecute criminals, on and on and on. I cannot
- 27:53Speaker 4: give you a definition of why they see the world
- 27:55Speaker 4: that way. I'm studied the man. I know who he is,
- 27:59Speaker 4: I know where he how he got his money and
- 28:01Speaker 4: all of that. But I cannot tell you why he's
- 28:04Speaker 4: doing what he's doing. But I can tell you that
- 28:07Speaker 4: if you live in New York City, he's responsible for
- 28:10Speaker 4: Alvin Bragg, the DA in Manhattan.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 4: So I have to put him into office by seating
- 28:16Speaker 4: his campaign with millions and millions of dollars and nobody
- 28:20Speaker 4: could compete with that.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Hey, Bill O. Riiley had a long talk with the
- 28:24Speaker 1: President today. I'm not I don't want you to reveal
- 28:26Speaker 1: what he said, but can you reveal what advice you
- 28:29Speaker 1: were giving him today.
- 28:33Speaker 4: That's a tough one to can't really specifically tell you,
- 28:38Speaker 4: and you're my pal, so I would this is very
- 28:43Speaker 4: this is very very national security oriented. I'll tell you
- 28:51Speaker 4: this right now. President Trump has got to deal with
- 28:54Speaker 4: They're wrong. Yeah, Okay, My contact's abroad, as you know,
- 29:01Speaker 4: because we've discussed my trip to China. I mean, I
- 29:04Speaker 4: know everybody in the world, and the reason I access
- 29:08Speaker 4: is because of you two. So what I do a
- 29:11Speaker 4: brook as it doesn't just go in the United States
- 29:13Speaker 4: because all over the world. And he knows. President Trump
- 29:19Speaker 4: knows that I have unbelievable contacts abroad. And that's what
- 29:26Speaker 4: the essence of the conversation apart from the Chinese subversion
- 29:31Speaker 4: was today on Iran, very very difficult situation there, very dicey,
- 29:36Speaker 4: because unlike Venezuela, Iran will fight, not the people, but
- 29:42Speaker 4: the revolutionary guard will fight. So you've got to take
- 29:48Speaker 4: that into account on what the collateral damage would be
- 29:51Speaker 4: to go in and try to remove these mullahs by
- 29:54Speaker 4: military force.
- 29:56Speaker 1: So the president first term, very good domestic stuff and
- 30:00Speaker 1: surprisingly good when you agree on foreign policy. In the
- 30:03Speaker 1: second term, surprisingly good at that.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Here's the problem. He's been very, very successful in foreign policy.
- 30:10Speaker 4: And you might have noticed yesterday they made a deal
- 30:12Speaker 4: with India, and India says, and I don't trust Mody,
- 30:17Speaker 4: but he says he's not gonna buy Russian oil. He's
- 30:19Speaker 4: gonna buy US and ven As weel and oil. If
- 30:22Speaker 4: that happens, that's a crusher for Putin. So the president
- 30:27Speaker 4: is very successful on foreign policy. Sometimes he's Chubila Coast
- 30:32Speaker 4: and he alienates some of our allies. But if you
- 30:35Speaker 4: just look at what's happening to the world, he's really
- 30:39Speaker 4: doing a great job. But Americans don't really care about it.
- 30:43Speaker 4: That's the problem. They're not going to vote that in November.
- 30:46Speaker 4: They're going to vote health care costs, insurance costs, food costs.
- 30:50Speaker 4: They don't know, you know, what's going on in India.
- 30:53Speaker 4: They don't know the trade deal. You can't blame them.
- 30:56Speaker 4: People trying to make a living, raised families are busy,
- 31:00Speaker 4: they're paying attention to geopolitics. But all in all, I
- 31:04Speaker 4: believe that President Trump at this point has been the
- 31:08Speaker 4: most successful foreign policy president in the last thirty years.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Wow. Well, you can watch Bill O'Reilly the show. It's
- 31:16Speaker 1: on the go to Bill O'Reilly dot com and telegrading
- 31:18Speaker 1: about the YouTube channel. What can they see on your
- 31:20Speaker 1: YouTube channel?
- 31:22Speaker 4: Well, we're going to go up tonight. And the only
- 31:24Speaker 4: thing that's going to save the Republicans in November is
- 31:28Speaker 4: that the Democrats don't have any leadership. Yeah, there's no leadership.
- 31:34Speaker 4: And so I'm going to analyze the Carvill statement because
- 31:39Speaker 4: Carvil has got very good Democratic contacts and he's pushing Pritzker,
- 31:45Speaker 4: the governor of Illinois, who's been an absolute disaster. You
- 31:47Speaker 4: think Newsom's bad in California, I think local's bad in
- 31:50Speaker 4: New York when Prinsker makes them look like successful people.
- 31:55Speaker 4: So we're going to go up and do that on
- 31:57Speaker 4: our YouTube channel. That'll drop tonight. Yeah YouTube, it's YouTube
- 32:02Speaker 4: dot com slash Bill O'Reilly.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's free, it's free, and it's great. You know
- 32:08Speaker 1: hackem Jeffreys, Chuck's humor. These are really bad inarticulate, the
- 32:12Speaker 1: dull leaders. They even in Congress, nothing going on there, so.
- 32:16Speaker 4: Well it'd be fuddled. They really don't have any vision.
- 32:19Speaker 4: But the worst and what trouble me is man Donni
- 32:22Speaker 4: with this sixteen dead and he won't compel the police
- 32:28Speaker 4: to bring these people in when it's two degrees to
- 32:31Speaker 4: a warming center. I've never seen anything like that ever
- 32:36Speaker 4: in a public policy arena. Never seen it. Well, and
- 32:40Speaker 4: if you listen to his press conference today, it was gibberish,
- 32:44Speaker 4: it was nonsense. It was like a fifth grader that
- 32:48Speaker 4: and I knew this was going to happen. A thirty
- 32:50Speaker 4: four year old cannot run the city of New York.
- 32:53Speaker 4: I'm sorry, And where do you see how bad it's
- 32:57Speaker 4: going to get?
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yeah? Well, thanks for cheering us up here this morning.
- 33:00Speaker 1: But hey, everybody.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Watching, you know you know me no spin Yeah.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Well watch the No Spinners, watch Bill O'Reilly show tonight.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Just go to Bill O'Reilly dot com. You can get
- 33:10Speaker 1: the column, the TV show, the book everything here, and
- 33:13Speaker 1: make sure you watch his YouTube channel Bill O'Reilly at
- 33:15Speaker 1: YouTube and get the book Confronting Evil. Great stuff, Bill O'Reilly,
- 33:20Speaker 1: Thanks for being with us, Thanks for having me Mark
- 33:23Speaker 1: as usually enjoyed it all right, take care, Hey, don't
- 33:26Speaker 1: forget coming up at noon. Buck Sexton and Clay Travis
- 33:29Speaker 1: love listening to their show every day noon to three.
- 33:31Speaker 1: And make sure you listen to Jimmy Fayla great show
- 33:34Speaker 1: and it's very funny. It's every night at nine, and
- 33:36Speaker 1: it's right here on seven ten. Wr mister New York.
- 33:41Speaker 1: He's on the game, the Watch Them Own show on
- 33:44Speaker 1: seven tenor hey, I remember we're talking about Billie Eilish
- 33:49Speaker 1: and made those Chris stupid comments at the Grammy Awards
- 33:51Speaker 1: and listen, she's just a dopey kid, doesn't know anything
- 33:54Speaker 1: but talking about nobody's legal. If you're on stolen land,
- 33:58Speaker 1: and well, it turns at her house or big mansion
- 34:01Speaker 1: with the guards, armed guards and gates, it's on stolen land,
- 34:05Speaker 1: stolen from the Indian tribe, whatever the name of it
- 34:10Speaker 1: is here the Tongya tribe, well apparently the Yeah, the
- 34:15Speaker 1: Tangya tribe has confirmed her mansion is on their ancestral
- 34:19Speaker 1: land which was taken from them and they want it
- 34:22Speaker 1: back apparently, So she's the one that said stolen land,
- 34:28Speaker 1: so she's admitting to it. The Tongya tribe wants to
- 34:31Speaker 1: talk to Billie Eilish about getting their land back. Or
- 34:35Speaker 1: maybe it's a big, huge mansion. I'll give them a
- 34:38Speaker 1: few bedrooms in there, let them stay there. But again,
- 34:41Speaker 1: she's twenty four. She's not that bright, good, good performer.
- 34:44Speaker 1: But not that bright kind of dobe. That's no tell.
- 34:47Speaker 1: She's saying. Hey, the good news is it will get
- 34:50Speaker 1: up to thirty five degrees today. There's a few hours
- 34:53Speaker 1: where it'll be thirty three, thirty four, thirty five late
- 34:56Speaker 1: in the afternoon, so that means snow melting. There will
- 34:58Speaker 1: be snow melting. That also means this garbage will be melting.
- 35:03Speaker 1: You might start smelling it. Mom, Donnie planning to pick
- 35:06Speaker 1: up all this garbage at some point. Don't rush them,
- 35:09Speaker 1: don't rush them. It's only February. He'll get to the garbage.
- 35:12Speaker 1: But it is going to warm up, so get out
- 35:14Speaker 1: and there should be some sunshine, so get out there
- 35:16Speaker 1: and take advantage of it's gonna be the warmest day
- 35:19Speaker 1: of the week today. We're out of time. I'll be
- 35:21Speaker 1: back tomorrow every day ten to noon, or if you
- 35:25Speaker 1: can't listen ten to noon or you miss the show,
- 35:27Speaker 1: get the podcast any place you get podcasts. So I'll
- 35:30Speaker 1: see you tomorrow at ten. Thanks for everything. Mark Simone
- 35:33Speaker 1: here on seven to ten. Wo
