Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: If you didn't see this, I don't know this story
- 0:05Speaker 1: at all. I have no idea what Angie's about to
- 0:07Speaker 1: tell me. But I saw on Facebook that Angie posted
- 0:10Speaker 1: was it Saturday the eighteenth, Yeah, two days ago was
- 0:13Speaker 1: the worst day of Angie's life because.
- 0:16Speaker 2: You had a bad day, I did, perhaps a bad day.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I can only imagine the horror you went through.
- 0:24Speaker 3: All right.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Well, when I posted this to Facebook, to the big
- 0:27Speaker 2: ninety eight points up in Facebook page, I did note
- 0:31Speaker 2: that I am dramatic.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Okay, yes, shocking.
- 0:34Speaker 2: So the worst day of my life maybe is not
- 0:37Speaker 2: going to sound like the worst day of anybody else's life.
- 0:40Speaker 3: And that moment it felt like moment, it felt like it.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And in fact, if you hear this and you think,
- 0:45Speaker 2: what a first world problem loser, idiot?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Fair? True, that's fine.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You can text me and tell me I'm a shallow
- 0:53Speaker 2: bratt and that also true.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Here's the thing, but that doesn't disregard your feelings, Angie, Right.
- 1:00Speaker 2: My feelings are valid. So my sister's in town with
- 1:05Speaker 2: my nephew. It's his birthday weekend, and one of the
- 1:08Speaker 2: things that we went to do is eat at Rambis
- 1:11Speaker 2: Guy's Pizza. I love it there. They have a great
- 1:14Speaker 2: vegan option. My sister also vegan, and so it works
- 1:18Speaker 2: out that she always wants to eat where I eat
- 1:20Speaker 2: because we have to eat the same things, right and
- 1:23Speaker 2: let everybody else.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 2: In fact, every single time we go, Mikey is like,
- 1:27Speaker 2: I can need the t Rex pizza because it has
- 1:30Speaker 2: just a ton of meat on it.
- 1:32Speaker 3: And I deprive him so much.
- 1:34Speaker 2: During the week that he is like, let me get
- 1:36Speaker 2: a t Rex pizza.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I digress. Here's what happened.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Our server his name was Eli, very good looking fellow,
- 1:45Speaker 2: and he comes to the table.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I obviously not single, and they're with my man, and
- 1:50Speaker 3: he's not my type, you know. I like, I'm older.
- 1:52Speaker 2: My sister, however, single beautiful lady, and so you know,
- 1:57Speaker 2: we're kind of chit chatting with our server whatever. And
- 2:00Speaker 2: I know, like I noticed my sister noticing that he's
- 2:03Speaker 2: a good looking to you. Yeah, and so we're just
- 2:07Speaker 2: kind of like, you know, being when we're you know.
- 2:11Speaker 3: How girls do. And there's a cute guy.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh do I know, Angie, I've been that guy.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Well never, but I've seen guys be that guy.
- 2:20Speaker 3: But you're so silly. So I'm thinking we have the meal.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Whatever. He's very kind to us, and my sister and
- 2:28Speaker 2: I run to use the restroom before we head out,
- 2:30Speaker 2: and in my head, I thought, oh, Eli must have
- 2:36Speaker 2: had such a great time serving us, because it was
- 2:39Speaker 2: like two cute girls being really you know whatever with
- 2:42Speaker 2: him whatever ah, my sister. Afterwards, we get in the
- 2:47Speaker 2: car and we take a lot of pictures, my sister
- 2:49Speaker 2: and I, hoping to find some cute ones that we
- 2:52Speaker 2: can post. And there's a picture that my sister took
- 2:56Speaker 2: a selfie of herself and me in it where she
- 3:00Speaker 2: looks incredible and I look like her great aunt.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I look so chopped, tore up from the floor up.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I look so bad in this picture, Gabe, and it
- 3:13Speaker 2: had me rethinking everything. This elite server was like, oh,
- 3:17Speaker 2: look at this cute girl who visited her auntie in
- 3:21Speaker 2: the business. Like I just had this perception of myself.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I thought I looked cute.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I really I put effort into what I looked like.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I even showed my sister my four step hair whatever routine,
- 3:34Speaker 2: thinking I'm really dolling myself up. I look so bad, Gabe,
- 3:39Speaker 2: so bad that I have to make drastic changes. And
- 3:42Speaker 2: then the cherry on top is that in the bathroom
- 3:45Speaker 2: she took a mirror selfie that she accidentally caught me
- 3:50Speaker 2: in the background getting a paper towel. What I look
- 3:54Speaker 2: like from behind is none of my business, but I
- 3:57Speaker 2: thought in the reflection, okay, sir, I look like.
- 4:02Speaker 3: A miniature linebacker from the back.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Angie's going round too. The NFL Draft coming up.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Think I mistakes, mistakes have been made. I need to
- 4:14Speaker 2: start a retinol routine. I need to get in the gym.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I need I face some harsh truths.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Yeah, well, sometimes you know what they say, Angie?
- 4:23Speaker 3: What do they say? Gibe?
- 4:24Speaker 4: It's good to go through some adversity.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I hate you.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Angie had the worst day of her life this past Saturday.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It did when there was a photo she saw herself
- 4:36Speaker 1: in that she was not thrilled about.
- 4:38Speaker 3: No, there were two photos, one from the front.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Your girl needs retinoll asap, and then one from the back.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I need to get in the gym and live there. So, yes,
- 4:49Speaker 2: worst day of my life. But Gabe, you're saying that
- 4:52Speaker 2: you had you almost died.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Is this what you're telling you?
- 4:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yesterday was one for the ages because you had.
- 4:59Speaker 1: A yesterday before I was going to go be a
- 5:06Speaker 1: part of this judging competition for tacos. At Saloon ninety five,
- 5:12Speaker 1: it was like twelve thirty. I just got done going
- 5:15Speaker 1: out to a brunch with my uncle, my aunt, my
- 5:19Speaker 1: cousin who attends MSUM, and we enjoyed.
- 5:22Speaker 4: A nice brunch.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Okay that high, and got home and I'm just kind
- 5:26Speaker 1: of passing the time by until I need to go
- 5:28Speaker 1: do this. At Saloon ninety five, I'm laying on the
- 5:30Speaker 1: couch watching a chess tournament, which sounds about us exciting
- 5:35Speaker 1: as land. And I was laying sideways, you know, I was.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I was horizontal on the couch and as I went
- 5:43Speaker 1: to get up, you know, you just stretch sometimes, do
- 5:45Speaker 1: the old yeah, stretch out. I am not kidding you
- 5:49Speaker 1: when I say I had a sharp, hot, searing pain
- 5:55Speaker 1: travel from my neck shoulder area down to like my
- 5:59Speaker 1: right hip. I went to get up off the couch
- 6:02Speaker 1: and I'm knocking. I almost fell over, and I decided
- 6:04Speaker 1: right then and there, Oh I just died. That's the
- 6:08Speaker 1: end of it.
- 6:08Speaker 4: My wife's sleeping away in the room taking a nap,
- 6:11Speaker 4: you know.
- 6:11Speaker 3: And beef. Yeah that's fair.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Yeah, she's.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Enjoy a nap. I thought that was the end of it,
- 6:18Speaker 1: I really did. I went, well, this is how it goes.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I guess I died. Stretching was the most heartbreaking realization
- 6:28Speaker 1: I have, like, oh, I'm getting old af So I
- 6:32Speaker 1: looked up what this possibly could be, and I thought
- 6:35Speaker 1: I had an idea that maybe I had pinched a nerve.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And according to my googling, which is also incredible, I
- 6:44Speaker 1: probably pinched a nerve somewhere in my next shoulder area.
- 6:47Speaker 3: How are you feeling right now?
- 6:49Speaker 4: I can still feel it. It doesn't you know.
- 6:51Speaker 1: It's not that big of a deal now that I'm
- 6:52Speaker 1: kind of up moving around or whatever. But at one
- 6:55Speaker 1: point I couldn't really turn my head. I couldn't rotate
- 6:58Speaker 1: my shoulder at all. I thought, man, this is over.
- 7:01Speaker 3: This what is your most I'm an old person injury?
- 7:04Speaker 2: Bro.
- 7:05Speaker 1: It was I realized, Wow, I'm thirty five, and this
- 7:10Speaker 1: is how it all comes crashing down in that moment
- 7:13Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eighty seven.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Have you ever you know, bent over to pick something
- 7:17Speaker 1: up and you went, oh, my back's gone.
- 7:20Speaker 3: This is how it ends.
- 7:21Speaker 4: It's over? Or have you ever been playing catch with
- 7:24Speaker 4: the kid in your shoulder? Pops? Out of socket.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Just something where you went, wow, that's not supposed to
- 7:29Speaker 1: happen at this age.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Let me make you feel better.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I did pinch a nerve in my shoulder once playing
- 7:36Speaker 2: golf on the Wii.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Okay, I actually do feel a lot better. Seven oh
- 7:44Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eighty seven. Weirdest, strangest
- 7:47Speaker 1: injury that you kind of had to realize. Man, I
- 7:49Speaker 1: am definitely getting older and the joints aren't moving how
- 7:52Speaker 1: they used to a little bit ago. We were talking about, Man,
- 7:57Speaker 1: when was what was that injury? What was that oops
- 7:59Speaker 1: moment you had when you realize, Wow, I am not
- 8:02Speaker 1: twenty two years old anymore. I'm getting older as according
- 8:06Speaker 1: to Google, I'm like ninety eight percent.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Sure. I pinched a nerve in my neck stretching.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I hate saying that loud, but we did get a
- 8:17Speaker 1: text from this person who said, I believe it's Travis.
- 8:19Speaker 1: He said, I'm a thirty five year old man. Hey,
- 8:21Speaker 1: welcome to the thirty five club. Travis Solmar, who was
- 8:24Speaker 1: embarrassed to admit I have a memory foam butt cushion
- 8:28Speaker 1: in my pickup truck for when I'm driving. I also
- 8:31Speaker 1: had to get running boards installed on my truck to
- 8:33Speaker 1: make it easier to get in and out this winter.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I got off my cushion a step out of my
- 8:38Speaker 1: truck and pulled a nerve in my back and went
- 8:41Speaker 1: sliding out the door and down the side of my
- 8:44Speaker 1: truck like a washboard. You know what that's up there
- 8:48Speaker 1: with pinched a nerve stretching right up there, right up there, Travis.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But you know what, you keep pushing forward, and I
- 8:55Speaker 1: hope you have a great day man.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Rating life's little victories victory every morning. We practice gratitude
- 9:04Speaker 5: on Big ninety eight point seven. If I could, I
- 9:07Speaker 5: would keep this feeling in a basket job busted out
- 9:10Speaker 5: when it was someone's acting hard.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I just really needed to win.
- 9:13Speaker 5: You know, sure your little victories with us at seven
- 9:16Speaker 5: oh one two eight one, eight seven.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And Angie, do you have a little victory. I'm sure
- 9:21Speaker 1: you have a pretty massive victory. You got some family
- 9:23Speaker 1: visiting you this weekend. I'm sure you got up to
- 9:25Speaker 1: some fun.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I did you know what though? I want to Mikey.
- 9:30Speaker 2: My Mikey actually just texted us a little victory.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Oh really, yeah, he said.
- 9:36Speaker 2: My little victory is that I've pulled out all of
- 9:38Speaker 2: my golf equipment from winter storage, cleaned my clubs, put
- 9:42Speaker 2: lines on each golf ball, got new grips. Now just
- 9:46Speaker 2: waiting for the weather to cooperate. Let me tell you,
- 9:49Speaker 2: I had no idea this took play. When was he
- 9:51Speaker 2: doing this?
- 9:52Speaker 1: This was This is an awesome victory and something I
- 9:55Speaker 1: need to do. I need to get the clubs cleaned up.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm ready to go for a year of playing below
- 9:59Speaker 1: average golf.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah all right, Well.
- 10:02Speaker 4: That's a great little victory, Mikey.
- 10:03Speaker 3: I'm so glad that you did that. I what was
- 10:05Speaker 3: I doing? You know what I was doing.
- 10:07Speaker 2: My little victory is that my sister and my nephew
- 10:10Speaker 2: are in town visiting. This is the first time they've
- 10:13Speaker 2: come to visit me in Fargo, and it's my nephew,
- 10:16Speaker 2: Collins fifteenth birthday, so it's a birthday trip.
- 10:19Speaker 3: And we've just had such a fun weekend.
- 10:22Speaker 2: One of the things that we did is we went
- 10:24Speaker 2: to Sweet Shots yesterday and we played golf.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and we played the.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Angry Birds game that they have there, you know, yeah,
- 10:33Speaker 2: while you're swinging away and your girl based on sheer
- 10:37Speaker 2: luck alone one me, I was the top winner out
- 10:41Speaker 2: of six players. That does not mean that I'm good
- 10:45Speaker 2: at hitting a golf ball, not even a little bit.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But I want to know how this happened, because if
- 10:49Speaker 1: I was there, Angie, there's no way I'm letting you.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Did people let you win?
- 10:52Speaker 5: No?
- 10:53Speaker 3: They didn't.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah. The thing, it's by virtue of what the game is. Yeah,
- 10:58Speaker 2: it doesn't necessarily like you don't have to actually be
- 11:01Speaker 2: good at hitting golf balls, which is the level that.
- 11:04Speaker 3: We needed to be out. Okay, we're not.
- 11:06Speaker 2: On Mikey's Mikey was, I mean, hitting amazing shots and
- 11:11Speaker 2: did not win.
- 11:12Speaker 3: So right, that's that's just how it had to go.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Well, you know what, I don't want to yuck your yum.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I'm glad you got the w Angie.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I'm proud of you. You know what, they say, a
- 11:21Speaker 4: win is a win. That's right. Where is I get them?
- 11:24Speaker 4: That's right?
- 11:24Speaker 3: Yeah? What about you, gab? What's your little victory?
- 11:26Speaker 4: My little victory?
- 11:27Speaker 1: I have had this Minnesota Wild hat sitting and waiting
- 11:31Speaker 1: and lurking and staring at me that I was not
- 11:35Speaker 1: I bought at a Wild game this year and I
- 11:36Speaker 1: have not worn it once because I wanted to save
- 11:39Speaker 1: it for the playoffs when they started, and now they
- 11:42Speaker 1: played on Saturday. I got to wear my new hat. Yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 1: they played today. I get to finally bring this hat
- 11:47Speaker 1: to work. But I have been sitting on this ad
- 11:49Speaker 1: I'm not even kidding you for probably five months.
- 11:52Speaker 2: It does look fresh and brand new. I had never
- 11:55Speaker 2: seen it before. But now since they won yesterday, you
- 11:59Speaker 2: have to wear that hat every single time they played.
- 12:02Speaker 4: That's right.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yeah, they went on Saturday, and they played tonight, and
- 12:05Speaker 1: this hat will be busted out for every game in
- 12:08Speaker 1: the playoffs. I didn't want to wear it leading up
- 12:11Speaker 1: to the playoffs, Angie, so it got bad luck or
- 12:13Speaker 1: bad juju on it, all right. I wanted a fresh
- 12:16Speaker 1: Minnesota Wild hat for playoff time, and I finally got
- 12:19Speaker 1: to bust it out.
- 12:19Speaker 4: So that is what I'm very very excited about.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I also got to be another judge in a food
- 12:24Speaker 1: contest this weekend, which was.
- 12:26Speaker 4: A ton of fun with a coworker.
- 12:28Speaker 1: We have Farley here in the building and now him
- 12:30Speaker 1: and I had a great time meeting some tacos this
- 12:32Speaker 1: weekend and doing a judging contest, so that was a
- 12:34Speaker 1: lot of fun as well.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Well, I love this And then real quick, well, Zach
- 12:38Speaker 2: just texted us that he got the cover up tattoo
- 12:41Speaker 2: that he's been trying to get for.
- 12:42Speaker 3: The last four years. Lots of little victories this weekend.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right on the way.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Elizabeth Taylor will have the tea coming up, and congratulations Zach.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I know, getting a tattoo covered up or having a
- 12:54Speaker 1: tattoo that maybe don't like overtime, it can be kind
- 12:57Speaker 1: of an annoying, tough process to go through, but to
- 12:59Speaker 1: get it done that's major.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I'm going to need more details because I've got a
- 13:02Speaker 2: tattoo on the back of my neck that has been
- 13:04Speaker 2: needed changing. There are still things that I'm learning about
- 13:14Speaker 2: my gee to this day because he'll just interject them
- 13:18Speaker 2: at the most random times. And the other week we
- 13:21Speaker 2: were at Unhinged Sports Bar. We were doing big happy
- 13:24Speaker 2: hour and I had the idea of corporal punishment came
- 13:28Speaker 2: up and I forget for what reason, and he just
- 13:31Speaker 2: casually says, oh, yeah, they used to hit me with an.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Or at school.
- 13:36Speaker 2: What.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah, time to pause every other conversation that thought about
- 13:41Speaker 1: going on right now. Yeah, just a casual like or beating, Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 1: an or beating, And I guess he well, he said, well, yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 1: back then, we still did that. And I remember, oh, yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you're sixty years old.
- 13:55Speaker 4: So I did not.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Experience that growing up. I just experienced getting hit by
- 13:59Speaker 2: my parents, but.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Not at school.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And he said that not only because now I wanted
- 14:07Speaker 2: all the details. I mean, Gabe was really fascinated also,
- 14:10Speaker 2: and why did you get hit.
- 14:13Speaker 3: With an or? Like what?
- 14:15Speaker 4: Yeah, what'd you do?
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah? And he didn't do his homework right.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And he was in fifth grade and he didn't do
- 14:21Speaker 2: his homework and then he got hit with this or.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And he went on to tell us that not only
- 14:27Speaker 2: were their oars for beating the children, that also they
- 14:32Speaker 2: were like bedazzled and engraved with.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Things they swagged out their sticks.
- 14:39Speaker 1: This is incredible, Like can you imagine being a teacher
- 14:42Speaker 1: and you're in the teacher's lounge and you go, oh, hey, guys,
- 14:46Speaker 1: look at how I designed my ore weapon.
- 14:49Speaker 2: That's insane, Babe, you're so shook by this. So this
- 14:54Speaker 2: weekend I had Mikey tell the kids, and he dropped
- 14:57Speaker 2: another little tidbit that he he did not tell me earlier.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And so now you get to find this out too.
- 15:04Speaker 2: They would drill holes in them to make them more aerodynamics.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and make the whack harder.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Yeah what, Yeah, that's kind of insane because yeah, I
- 15:15Speaker 1: suppose if with the holes in it, it travels through
- 15:18Speaker 1: the air. Yeah quicker. Yeah, that is kind of creepy.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I don't know if I love this.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I really I hate it.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I really don't love that they swagged out these oars.
- 15:27Speaker 1: And part of the thing the conversation I was having
- 15:29Speaker 1: with Mikey after discovering this was well, so how old
- 15:32Speaker 1: were you Because if I was seventeen, eighteen years old
- 15:35Speaker 1: and back in the way, back in the day, yeah,
- 15:38Speaker 1: there's no way I would have sat there and just
- 15:41Speaker 1: taken that.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Well, not an eighteen year old adult, right.
- 15:44Speaker 3: It happened to.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Him when he was in fifth grade and then he
- 15:46Speaker 2: like shaped up and didn't do it. But it goes
- 15:49Speaker 2: through high school, way through high school. I don't I
- 15:53Speaker 2: feel like there are still some states where that can happen.
- 15:56Speaker 3: But I'm glad that this is like a thing of
- 15:59Speaker 3: the past.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Yeah, well, we want to know this morning at seven
- 16:02Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven, was
- 16:05Speaker 1: there something you did in school that was bad?
- 16:08Speaker 4: What was the punishment?
- 16:09Speaker 1: I want to know when we stopped from bedazzling our
- 16:13Speaker 1: oars to when we got detention. Yeah, okay seven oh
- 16:17Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 16:22Speaker 4: This is am I the problem. It's the problem, it's me.
- 16:29Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 16:32Speaker 5: am I the problem, decide if it's right or if
- 16:35Speaker 5: maybe you're the problem.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I'm hardly the problem. On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 16:41Speaker 3: This one is from Haley. Hi, gab and ANGI.
- 16:43Speaker 2: This is Haley, and I want to know if you
- 16:45Speaker 2: think my older brother is justified in being mad at
- 16:49Speaker 2: me for calling him out on meddling with my love life.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I only just found this out a week or so ago,
- 16:58Speaker 2: but it happened ten years ago. I reunited with a
- 17:01Speaker 2: group of high school friends, including my crush, and he
- 17:04Speaker 2: admitted that he had a big crush on me, but
- 17:07Speaker 2: my brother.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Forbade him from dating me.
- 17:11Speaker 2: They were both on the hockey team, but my brother
- 17:13Speaker 2: was two years older. So I called my brother and
- 17:16Speaker 2: I was mad af because I ended up marrying the
- 17:19Speaker 2: guy who ended up being my high school sweetheart and
- 17:23Speaker 2: he turned out to be a full on jerk and
- 17:25Speaker 2: we're divorced now. My brother said back then he just
- 17:28Speaker 2: didn't want to hear anything about me and a dude
- 17:31Speaker 2: in the locker room.
- 17:32Speaker 3: But marrying, But me marrying a jerk was my fault.
- 17:35Speaker 3: But who knows what could.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Have happened if he didn't meddle in my life. Now
- 17:40Speaker 2: he's ticked off at me for blaming him. So who
- 17:43Speaker 2: do you think is right?
- 17:46Speaker 3: Gabe?
- 17:46Speaker 2: I want your thoughts first.
- 17:49Speaker 4: I don't know. I am an older brother.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I have a younger sister, and it's just kind of
- 17:53Speaker 1: funny thinking about this.
- 17:55Speaker 4: You're gonna have to learn to let that one go.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I think you are who is this? Haley, Haley Haylee.
- 18:00Speaker 4: I think you are the problem.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Who knows if you and this dude would have been
- 18:03Speaker 1: together for two months a couple of years got married,
- 18:06Speaker 1: You can't. It's easy to play the hindsight Henry game
- 18:10Speaker 1: ten years down the road.
- 18:12Speaker 4: I think you just have to learn to let that go.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Am I that wrong? I mean he's just being an
- 18:17Speaker 4: older brother.
- 18:18Speaker 1: When you're in your high school years, any decision you
- 18:23Speaker 1: make involving relationships should almost just be erased from your
- 18:27Speaker 1: permanent record. Okay, we're all just doing the best we
- 18:30Speaker 1: can and trying and going through a lot of things
- 18:33Speaker 1: and changes in our brains.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Our bodies.
- 18:36Speaker 1: He didn't think your older brother, excuse me, Haley. He
- 18:39Speaker 1: didn't think, you know, in ten years my sister might
- 18:44Speaker 1: be real upset with me that I didn't want this dude,
- 18:47Speaker 1: I'm hockey buddies with to date.
- 18:50Speaker 4: That didn't go through his brain.
- 18:51Speaker 2: What are your thoughts? Seven oh one two eight oh
- 18:54Speaker 2: one to nine eight seven. We also have this up
- 18:56Speaker 2: on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page. I
- 18:59Speaker 2: think that her brother is the problem because that is
- 19:04Speaker 2: such a tired old trope of oh.
- 19:08Speaker 3: You better not date my sister. Eh, there's gonna be consequence,
- 19:13Speaker 3: like grow up.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I know that they were teenagers when that happened, but
- 19:17Speaker 2: I feel like your brain is developed enough to stop
- 19:21Speaker 2: with that machismo.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Like, no, that's my sister, you better not date her.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Who are you to say who can and can't? Baby?
- 19:29Speaker 4: You ever been an older brother, Angie.
- 19:31Speaker 2: No, I just have a mustache and I have a
- 19:34Speaker 2: little brother. I guess it doesn't count, but I think, yeah, no.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I think at the very least her brother could have apologized.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Yeah that also, I think you are right there.
- 19:45Speaker 1: He could have been like, hey, I'm sorry, I just
- 19:47Speaker 1: didn't really know what I was doing when he said,
- 19:49Speaker 1: not marrying.
- 19:49Speaker 3: A jerk was your fault.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I don't think I understand the hindsight henry game, Like
- 19:53Speaker 2: you can't.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Who's to say that you would have ended up with
- 19:56Speaker 3: this dude?
- 19:56Speaker 2: But it could have been not that she married this crush,
- 20:00Speaker 2: but that if she was preoccupied with the crush, she
- 20:02Speaker 2: wouldn't have ended up with the other guy.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that is true. Seven oh one two eight zero one,
- 20:07Speaker 1: nine eight seven. This is a great commo if you
- 20:09Speaker 1: have siblings, If you have an older sibling a younger sibling,
- 20:13Speaker 1: definitely want to hear both sides of the team here.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one, nine eighty seven.
- 20:17Speaker 1: This is also on Big ninety eight point seven's Facebook page.
- 20:25Speaker 2: On the problem, Hailey wants to know if she's the problem,
- 20:29Speaker 2: if her older brother is the problem. So ten years ago, Uh,
- 20:34Speaker 2: she had a high school crush and her crush liked
- 20:37Speaker 2: her back, but she didn't know because her older brother,
- 20:39Speaker 2: who played on the same hockey team as him, forbade
- 20:43Speaker 2: her crush to date her.
- 20:45Speaker 3: And so she just found out and she big mad.
- 20:48Speaker 2: She's big mad because she ended up marrying who ended
- 20:52Speaker 2: up being her high school sweetheart. That was a bust
- 20:54Speaker 2: their divorced now. So she called her brother out on it,
- 20:58Speaker 2: and he.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Was like, that was your fault. Who cares if I'm meddled?
- 21:01Speaker 4: It sounds like such a sibling argument.
- 21:03Speaker 3: It really is, Am Gabe.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I think you'll be happy to know that someone agrees
- 21:09Speaker 2: with you.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I'm on the side. She's got a kind of she's
- 21:13Speaker 1: gotta let that go. That's ten years ago.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Well, Stephanie said, I agree with Gabe. That's just the
- 21:19Speaker 2: way older brothers are with their sisters. Y'all are family,
- 21:23Speaker 2: and that isn't something to be mad about. Angie, that
- 21:26Speaker 2: was ten years ago. Elowel, Okay, I'm aware that it
- 21:30Speaker 2: was ten years ago, but I don't care how.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Many years ago it happened. I'm someone who holds a grudge.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Okay, so if you wronged me ten years ago, I
- 21:41Speaker 2: don't forget. I just hold on to that until I
- 21:44Speaker 2: can strike at the right time, the right moment.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Now there's the logical side of me that yes, fine,
- 21:50Speaker 3: it was.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Ten years ago.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Julia says, it's not your brother's fault. Your ex husband
- 21:56Speaker 1: was a jerk. This guy may have been too. Being
- 21:59Speaker 1: mad about the what ifs is pointless. If the crush
- 22:03Speaker 1: really wanted he would have. Maybe the thing to focus
- 22:06Speaker 1: on is the potential with the crush.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Now that is true?
- 22:09Speaker 3: Why that part?
- 22:10Speaker 2: Why not?
- 22:11Speaker 4: Now you got you know, it.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Seemed like you both are into it back then. Who know,
- 22:15Speaker 1: you're definitely not the same person you were ten years ago.
- 22:17Speaker 1: So maybe this high school crush doesn't evolve into something
- 22:21Speaker 1: more than that.
- 22:21Speaker 4: But what's stopping you now?
- 22:23Speaker 3: But that's a cool story.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Yeah, guy, it's a cool story.
- 22:26Speaker 3: If you end up together.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Now you can be like, yes, because my brother forbade it,
- 22:31Speaker 2: and now.
- 22:32Speaker 3: You know what I mean, like for the lure alone,
- 22:36Speaker 3: you can't be mad at your brother. I've done a one.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Eighties Yeah, Lillian.
- 22:39Speaker 1: She also said, I also don't think it was the
- 22:42Speaker 1: brother's fault. If you really like that guy back then,
- 22:45Speaker 1: you shouldn't have let what your brother said get in
- 22:47Speaker 1: the way. And if he let what your brother said
- 22:49Speaker 1: get in the way, he obviously wasn't the one either.
- 22:52Speaker 1: It's nobody's fault you ended up with a crappy husband.
- 22:56Speaker 4: But you live and you learn.
- 22:58Speaker 1: It's easy to blame when we don't want accept what
- 23:01Speaker 1: we put ourselves through. That sounds like a little bit
- 23:04Speaker 1: of adversity, which we are all about here on Big
- 23:06Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven. There's no reason why you can't
- 23:09Speaker 1: let this potentially be a thing now, especially everyone's a
- 23:13Speaker 1: little bit older, a little more mature. Your older brother
- 23:16Speaker 1: was also a teen on the hockey team trying to
- 23:20Speaker 1: just be a big brother, or what he thought a
- 23:22Speaker 1: good big brother was. You can't be that upset at him,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and you can't be upset really in anybody who makes
- 23:28Speaker 1: decisions on relationships when they are in high school. All right,
- 23:31Speaker 1: we're all just trying to we're all just hoping, all right,
- 23:33Speaker 1: we all just hope and try for our best.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Jailey.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Everyone seems to think that you're the problem. But if
- 23:39Speaker 2: you want to vent more to me personally, go for it,
- 23:42Speaker 2: because I'll hold the grudge for you.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 23:53Speaker 5: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 23:56Speaker 1: In some chilly April weather, the community Morehead came together
- 24:01Speaker 1: for a pretty special moment.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Local scouts and volunteers.
- 24:04Speaker 1: They helped carry the final books from the old public
- 24:07Speaker 1: library to its brand new home at the Loop, just
- 24:10Speaker 1: a few blocks away.
- 24:12Speaker 4: And it wasn't just a move. It was a tradition.
- 24:15Speaker 1: The same kind of book brigade happened back in nineteen
- 24:19Speaker 1: sixty two, making this really a full circle moment for
- 24:21Speaker 1: the community. The grand opening celebration was moved indoors thanks
- 24:26Speaker 1: to the cold, but that didn't stop the excitement. Leaders
- 24:29Speaker 1: like Mayor Shelley Carlson and Senator Tina Smith were on
- 24:32Speaker 1: hand to celebrate the new space, which features a library,
- 24:36Speaker 1: a walking loop, and a playground.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Really something for everybody here.
- 24:40Speaker 3: I'm so excited about this.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's a great reminder that even on a
- 24:44Speaker 1: cold day, community spirit can really show up strong.
- 24:47Speaker 4: So congratulations to the Loop.
- 24:50Speaker 1: We've talked a bunch about this, and it's awesome to
- 24:52Speaker 1: see the grand finale kind of finally happen in people
- 24:54Speaker 1: showing up and being really excited about it despite it
- 24:57Speaker 1: being very windy this weekend.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not going to stop that.
- 25:00Speaker 4: That's right.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Don't forget my favorite quote, broken Craons. They still color
- 25:04Speaker 1: and the world is full of nice people. If you
- 25:06Speaker 1: can't find one, you gotta be one.
