- 0:18ain't no agendas, our only plan is to keep it 100 and do it for the fam, yeah.

- 0:41that's what's up how you feeling today bro you good yeah man you know doing
- 0:46all right man just like i told you when I walked in.
- 0:52Blood pressure up, but you know, it's all good, man.
- 0:56All right. All right. Cool. What, what you want to get into today?
- 0:59What we are, what are we going to get into today? You know what?
- 1:02Today we're going to do something different.
- 1:04We're just going to talk about a myriad of topics and, you know,
- 1:07I guess just kind of basically expose the audience to
- 1:10what our phone conversations be like all right
- 1:13yeah yeah yeah i'm i'm i'm cool with that and
- 1:16uh so we've been we've been
- 1:19the last few episodes we've been hitting some pretty heavy
- 1:22topics the news has been pretty heavy the last few weeks so we we just want
- 1:29to take this episode to sort of decompress i'm sure you guys are probably feeling
- 1:35the weight of all of the heavy news i know for a fact we are so so So,
- 1:41yeah, guys, we're just going to pretty much go unscripted today.
- 1:45We'll probably hit some heavy topics, but we won't dive deep into them.
- 1:50We're just going to see where the conversation takes us.
- 1:53But, yeah, we're going to try and keep it light today and just let you guys
- 1:58hang out with us for a little while.
- 1:59So, with that being said, bro, you want me to begin? You want to begin?
- 2:04Yeah, you can go ahead and begin. I know you want to talk about something we
- 2:07talk about all. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So...
- 2:13With this new UFO alien discussion being relevant again,
- 2:19and I think it all started when Brian Tyler Cohen did the interview with Obama's
- 2:24Super Bowl weekend, and he asked him something about UFOs.
- 2:29And Obama basically said no, but then he tried to walk it back later,
- 2:36which I don't know why he tried to walk it back. But I wanted to get into that.
- 2:41And, you know, with Hillary being questioned the other day, they were asking her about UFOs.
- 2:46So I wanted to take a little bit of time to let everyone know what I feel personally
- 2:54about aliens and UFOs and the space program, et cetera, et cetera.
- 3:03So I'm just going to just go right for the juggler.
- 3:08Excuse me. Right off the top. Do I believe aliens exist?
- 3:15I have my my thinking has evolved on this topic. So let me be specific when
- 3:23I say Do I think aliens exist in our solar system?
- 3:28No Definitively, no Do I think aliens exist within our galaxy?
- 3:36Perhaps There's a chance The galaxy is huge But as far as our solar system No
- 3:44Aliens do not exist Have aliens ever visited Earth?
- 3:48No They have not And if anyone says they have Show me the evidence Obama just
- 3:56told you there is no Show me the dope you've been smoking Or that,
- 4:00I mean he just basically said Area 51 thing is non-existent.
- 4:05You can say it's a cover up conspiracy, whatever. The man has no reason to lie.
- 4:10Not only that, how many presidents you think they all are retaining that same lie?
- 4:17It's hard enough to get two people to stay on cold for that long.
- 4:21So, yeah, that's that's that's just my take on aliens. How you feel about it, bro?
- 4:26So I've always said that the same same thing in our in our solar system,
- 4:31though, because we would have found some sort of alien life form by now.
- 4:33Correct. Which there's none on any planet in our solar system.
- 4:38And by alien life form, I mean any living organism. Correct.
- 4:42We would be arrogant as hell to think that in all the millions and millions
- 4:47of galaxies that there's nothing out there. I think we would be arrogant as hell.
- 4:53But there are so many reasons as to why these like living on Mars and all that
- 5:01dumb shit. And let me let me rephrase that. Dumb shit.
- 5:07It is dumb. The fact that anyone listens to any human being that says that we can live.
- 5:20It literally is some of the dumbest shit I have ever heard. No air,
- 5:25no water, nothing that we need to survive.
- 5:29And not only that, bro.
- 5:32So here are some things to consider. I'm going to get kind of technical here.
- 5:36When we talk about leaving our galaxy, well, not even leaving our galaxy,
- 5:41let's stick within our galaxy, but outside of our solar system.
- 5:46You're talking thousands of light years.
- 5:51If you don't understand what a light year is, please look it up. But to make it plain.
- 6:00If something is 5,000 light years away, that basically means it will take them
- 6:075,000 years to get to planet Earth.
- 6:11No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
- 6:15So if an alien left 5,000 years ago to get here, none of us would be around to see it.
- 6:23We'll be long gone. And whatever they were coming to explore after 5000 years
- 6:31would be something totally different than their original plan.
- 6:34The whole thing is just extremely ludicrous, like you were saying.
- 6:39But to get back to this Mars thing, I need everyone to understand.
- 6:44The rocket ship and the fuel tanks.
- 6:49Those humongous cylinders on the side of the rocket ship when it blasts off, that's all fuel.
- 6:58You guys need to understand how much fuel it would actually take to get to Mars.
- 7:07When we get there, again, I just said there is no air.
- 7:11There is no water. There is no materials, which means we're going to have to
- 7:17transport materials to Mars to build a structure, take oxygen with us.
- 7:26No, no, people. No, it's just is is really just unfathomable.
- 7:32Better not use that word. It's unthinkable at this point. So I'm glad you mentioned
- 7:37bringing stuff with us. Let's just assume we got enough fuel to go there and
- 7:42back 12 times. Here's what happens.
- 7:44The air on Mars is 100 times thinner than the air on Earth. Parachutes don't work.
- 7:52They don't work. Which means that not only is the vessel...
- 7:59Going at speeds that are just unfathomable. Thank you. I cannot get that.
- 8:05I just I just almost stumbled over.
- 8:08And and the heat. Like literally we would hit it and incinerate.
- 8:14Well, the temperature period would would fluctuate so much. Yeah.
- 8:21Yeah. You're either going to be extremely hot or you're going to be extremely cold.
- 8:25So whatever structure you're going to build probably needs an infinite power
- 8:31source to regulate the temperature, to regulate the oxygen levels.
- 8:36It is really just crazy to even think so.
- 8:40So, no, I know you're a president because he's not mine.
- 8:44Your president just said a couple of weeks ago that, yeah, we're talking about
- 8:47going to live on Mars. Bye. No, no. Bye.
- 8:52Well, you can go try. That'd be great for everyone. But you're not going to
- 8:57live on Mars because you're going to die. Three months into the.
- 9:01You're going to die. Yeah.
- 9:04I mean, that's not funny, but it's funny to think that. Well,
- 9:07the thing is, is once you start that trip, if something happens halfway through
- 9:12it, which around trip, like I may or may not have mentioned,
- 9:16it's like 21 months around trip.
- 9:18If something goes wrong three months into the trip, you can't just turn around.
- 9:23Right. It's a wrap. Right.
- 9:25Remember in Avengers when Nebula set Tony Stark in the front and was like,
- 9:30yeah, he goes. He got out of there. Yeah.
- 9:33Yeah. If Ms. Marvel hadn't showed up... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, he's toast.
- 9:39It's... Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yes, people.
- 9:45You can call me closed-minded all you want to.
- 9:49I like to think of myself as being logical when it comes to this and...
- 9:56Here's where my logical brain can't turn off.
- 10:02If you're thinking, yeah, you're narrow minded, we need to explore.
- 10:08Think about how much money we actually waste on the space program and we get
- 10:15little return on investment.
- 10:17My pushback on anyone saying that we need to explore.
- 10:20Three letters. Why?
- 10:24I mean, it's in all. No, no, no, no, no. No, you're right. Now,
- 10:28you're telling me to explore the ocean, things of that nature? Yeah, because what?
- 10:32We're like barely in double digits of the amount of the earth that we have explored.
- 10:38I'm sorry, the ocean that we have explored. I'm cool with that.
- 10:43Oh, man, we dove here. We did that. Now, civilians going down clearly is a bad
- 10:48idea. Right. But for some reason, we keep doing this dumb shit.
- 10:51Yeah, those guys were just, I don't understand what they were thinking.
- 10:56I really don't. Or when you hear people say, yeah, I volunteer to go to space. Why?
- 11:01Well, for what? Do you know how much money it costs those people going up on
- 11:06those private trips to space? It's like a million dollars for like a 10 minute trip.
- 11:14So when you factor in at one, these people are getting paid and that's the real
- 11:19hustle is they're getting paid.
- 11:21But think about the space budget, the NASA budget.
- 11:25How much money these fools are wasting for their little 10-minute trip up in the space.
- 11:30If you took all... They're coming back acting like they did something.
- 11:33Yeah. If you took all of that money.
- 11:38And put it into cancer research, if you took all of that money and put it into ending homelessness,
- 11:45if you took that money and put it into Alzheimer's research,
- 11:49if you took that money and put it into ending world hunger,
- 11:54there is absolutely nothing you can say that will justify spending this money going into space.
- 12:02It's literally a waste of resources, in my opinion.
- 12:06So here's where I push back on the closed-minded thing, because I think of it as like this.
- 12:13And we did an episode on education being sort of a gatekeeper.
- 12:19There are a lot of people who dropped out of law school because they couldn't
- 12:25afford it. A lot of people dropped out of medical school because they couldn't afford it.
- 12:32There may be a great mind somewhere working at Walmart or Target that just didn't
- 12:38get the opportunity to go to school.
- 12:41So my excuse me, forward thinking is if we took all of that money and invested
- 12:49it into education, perhaps we could cure some of these diseases.
- 12:55You know, perhaps we can cure measles since we got to deal with that shit again.
- 12:59I mean, I'm I'm I'm just saying, you know.
- 13:03We can talk for hours about just the levels of, and look, for those who are wondering,
- 13:11no, we are not pro-government to the fact, or we're pro-medicine,
- 13:17we're pro-science. For sure, for sure.
- 13:19We're not idiots, though. We don't just jump on everything that comes out like
- 13:24a dog and we don't do that. But this this whole thing with measles making a return, polio nuts.
- 13:34What? Yeah. Things that that that were gone in the 60s.
- 13:39Hells. Are back because we have a non health official in the Department of Health.
- 13:50Guy has no medical degrees as far as I know because you work out and you sell supplements online,
- 13:58which is something they should be looking into as far as his anti-vax stance and all of this.
- 14:05Is this just a way for you to sell your supplements or do you actually believe
- 14:11that medicine is basically bad for people?
- 14:16Something they should investigate, in my opinion, but also a reason why we don't
- 14:20put unqualified idiots like this in charge of important social programs.
- 14:26So it goes back to what we talked about the other day.
- 14:28If you and I think I told you, if you started a business and you were you were
- 14:32like, hey, I need you to be a CEO. Mm hmm.
- 14:35I would have the wherewithal to look at you and say, hey, man,
- 14:39I'm not qualified. Mm hmm.
- 14:41I appreciate you, but I'm not qualified for that. Mm-hmm.
- 14:47This dude done went out and it seems like he purposely set out to find people
- 14:55who have been cast out as he has.
- 14:59And when I say that, I mean that.
- 15:01No, he did. That dude was not like Trump has been cast out by that community in New York City.
- 15:07None of them liked him. Hollywood didn't like him. Nobody liked him.
- 15:10So what he did is like he went out and found loyal people who really didn't
- 15:14know that much and put them in positions.
- 15:17And look, I know this is just an ongoing joke, but in all seriousness,
- 15:22bro, why are you wearing jeans all the time?
- 15:25Why are you getting in a cold tub? Yeah, who works out in jeans,
- 15:30bro? With no shoes on. That shit is so uncomfortable.
- 15:35I don't know, bro. it
- 15:39is it like we are literally when's the
- 15:42last time you watched idiocracy oh it's been some
- 15:45years but but you're right we are living in that time i
- 15:48watched it two days ago again and that scene when they're in the oval office
- 15:52and he was just like who the hell told you i was the smartest person in the
- 15:56world he was like what a test you took yeah and then eventually they they're
- 16:00talking and they're talking and then they got to the secretary of education
- 16:03yeah and that fool was holding that globe in front of his face,
- 16:06and he looked, and he was cross-eyed. Yeah.
- 16:08And he said he's the president's stepbrother. Yeah.
- 16:11But he's doing a good job. Yeah.
- 16:14It seems like that's what we have. Yeah. As someone who grew up as a diehard
- 16:19wrestling fan, if you would have told me 20 years ago, hey, that lady right there.
- 16:23Linda McMahon. Is going to be the secretary of education.
- 16:26Now, keep in mind, I feel like I know that family because I watched wrestling since I was a kid.
- 16:32So I know she has no educational background. Correct.
- 16:35So when her name came up, I immediately said to myself, why would they pick her?
- 16:40My, my, my...
- 16:43I've always wondered, why would you accept the position? No, thank you.
- 16:48For, no, hold on. For a department that they're actively trying to get rid of.
- 16:53I never even understood that. We want you to be head of the Department of Education,
- 16:57but we're also actively trying to get rid of the Department of Education.
- 17:02So, yeah, you good with that? Yeah.
- 17:05I mean, that basically means your job is going to be obsolete,
- 17:07but you're still good with that? Okay, cool.
- 17:10All right, cool. The whole thing is just nuts.
- 17:15Well, everything about this is just nuts.
- 17:19Like, if you'd have told me, me and you and I, like, the day we graduated high
- 17:24school, we're going to transport y'all to 2026, February 28th, 2026.
- 17:30We're going to let you watch the news for 15 minutes.
- 17:33And then we came back to 1993. They would have locked us up.
- 17:38They would have been like, who going to be president? That dude that was just
- 17:42on Home Alone a couple years ago? Right.
- 17:45That idiot that was on Home Alone. That dude. Right. The one that hustles steaks
- 17:52and wine and... Trump knives and all kinds of silly... Yeah.
- 17:56Because all of that stuff was around. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:59That's going to be the president? Yeah. I don't know about you,
- 18:03bro, but I would probably look at myself and go, well, at least you in good shape, man.
- 18:13Yeah but hold up hold up with that same thing for myself being only what 155
- 18:20times when we graduated yeah i would have saw myself in 2026 and be like oh
- 18:26you need to start working,
- 18:28you need to start working out right now oh man oh man good stuff bro so let's
- 18:35let's um let's put a pin in that and transition to,
- 18:42this. I don't, I don't, I don't, what do you, what do you call them?
- 18:45What do you, what do you classify these guys as, man?
- 18:48I don't, I don't, cause I know there's a term or so. I mean,
- 18:51I want to say incel, but I don't think incel encapsulates everyone that we want to discuss.
- 18:59Assholes? Well, shit, let's go with assholes.
- 19:03These assholes who hate women. i
- 19:08i don't understand these guys and it's
- 19:12not just a racial thing it's black it's
- 19:15white and everything in between i don't
- 19:18understand this community that actively hates
- 19:22women make me understand it bro so for
- 19:25those who are wondering we're talking about the you know
- 19:28the andrew tates of the world the uh
- 19:31kevin sammers you know rest in peace nick fuentes all
- 19:34these type dudes these types of people make no
- 19:37mistakes about it it is hatred toward women if you expect or want and yes i'm
- 19:44gonna say this shit with my whole chest if you expect or want your wife to wait
- 19:50on you hand and foot you are an asshole if you expect.
- 19:57Now, there has to be, and I'm using air quotes, king of the castle.
- 20:01There has to be something.
- 20:03But at the same token, a marriage, a relationship, building a home together,
- 20:10moving into a home together.
- 20:12It's a joint effort. It's a partnership. Correct.
- 20:15If you're too cool to cook your wife dinner, you don't deserve that woman. Mm-hmm.
- 20:22You just don't. I feel you. I feel you, bro. I don't I don't understand.
- 20:27Like, one, I don't I don't understand how these guys intend on attracting a wife.
- 20:35What woman wants to be with you when all you do is to grade her and blame her
- 20:41for all of your hardships?
- 20:43I don't understand what woman is going to be down for that.
- 20:47But at the same time, I'm just like, do you hate your mom?
- 20:52If you have sisters, do you hate your sisters?
- 20:56If you have nieces, do you hate your nieces, your female cousins?
- 21:01If you even have a wife, because some of these dudes, I think,
- 21:04may even have wives or partners already. Do you actively hate them?
- 21:10Everything isn't a woman's fault. That's wrong with your life.
- 21:14At some point, you got to grab the mirror and go, what am I doing wrong?
- 21:18What bad decisions that I made that had me or got me in this position?
- 21:25And if you think that just because your wife is a stay-at-home wife or a stay-at-home
- 21:29mom, that she's responsible for everything,
- 21:35like, yeah, I mean, she's not going, obviously, if you come home and the house
- 21:39is a wreck every single day. Sure, sure.
- 21:42But even then, that's a conversation to be had as a couple.
- 21:47Correct. Right. It's not there for you to say, hey, you blankety,
- 21:51blankety, blank, get your ass up and do this and do that.
- 21:54It's not your place. You want a slave. You don't want you don't want a companion.
- 21:58You want a slave. You want a slave.
- 22:00If your wife is a stay at home wife, understand something.
- 22:04That shit is stressful, too. If y'all got small kids and stuff and she's changing
- 22:09diapers and trying to keep up with the kids.
- 22:11Yeah, absolutely. That shit is stressful, too.
- 22:14You cannot expect. When I was married.
- 22:18Bro, if I just I could hear her voice in my head right now.
- 22:23If I was off work and she came home from working all day, I ain't got an idea of what we eat. Right.
- 22:31I don't have an idea. Now, periodically, we will talk through the day on her lunch break.
- 22:37Call what you're up to, what you're doing, yada, yada, yada.
- 22:39Or I might call her what you're up to.
- 22:42But if we haven't discussed what's for dinner or if we're going out to dinner.
- 22:47Yeah, I would expect like you can't just sit at home all day and do nothing.
- 22:53Whether you're the man or the woman. You can't expect your woman to cook every single meal.
- 22:59You can't hurt me when you have children. You can't. And I've mentioned it before.
- 23:03I've changed as many diapers.
- 23:05I've heated up as many bottles. You know why? Because I wanted to and because
- 23:10not doing it in my relationship wasn't going to be tolerated.
- 23:14Like you said, it's a partnership, though.
- 23:18And me understanding that it wasn't going to be tolerated doesn't mean that
- 23:21I'm less of a man. It just means that I understand that she has value.
- 23:26And what she thinks about how I'm doing, what I'm doing in the relationship is important to me.
- 23:34So when I think of love, general, general, I mean, because love means different
- 23:41things to different people in a general sense.
- 23:44It sort of goes back to the golden rule Do unto others If you have them do unto you.
- 23:50Why would you want to put your wife under that much pressure,
- 23:54that much stress and not help her out?
- 23:58I it just doesn't make sense to me. Right. And vice versa. You know what I'm saying?
- 24:04Why would you want to see your husband under that much stress,
- 24:07pressure, whatever, and not help him out?
- 24:10It is. I mean, it's not even hard to me.
- 24:13You you you you don't you do what needs to be done. I think that's the simplest way that I can put it.
- 24:21It's not about traditional gender roles.
- 24:25It's about doing what needs to be done.
- 24:29Sometimes I just need a break. Sometimes she just needs a break.
- 24:34Step in, help out. I got it today, baby. Don't worry about it.
- 24:38You've been at work all day. It's cool. Even if you can't cook,
- 24:41then go get a pizza and have it and have it sitting on the stove when she walks in the door.
- 24:47Baby, I can't cook, but I wouldn't gossip. I wouldn't got some chicken for us.
- 24:51Do something. Hey, I'll wash the dishes.
- 24:54You know, I took out the trash. I mean, just again, not a traditional gender role.
- 25:03You got to wash the dishes. You got to do this. You got all that stuff is lame.
- 25:09All of that stuff means that you're not going to be married very long,
- 25:12in my opinion. That's the perfect word. It is. It's lame.
- 25:17I know when I was growing up, now obviously I'm no, I understood that these
- 25:22things existed but my parents divorced when I was young.
- 25:25I was really young. Seven, I believe.
- 25:29But my pops, when he got remarried later on,
- 25:34Man, he trash, dishes, mopping the floor. For sure.
- 25:38Now, they both did because they were both very active around the home.
- 25:42For sure. My mother as well, obviously.
- 25:44But my stepmother and pops, if he was cooking, she was doing something like
- 25:49she was straightening up. Right.
- 25:50And vice versa. If she was cooking, or hell, you know, back in them days,
- 25:54they'd do 30 things at one time. Right, right.
- 25:57But my father never said to me, you see that? That's the man's job.
- 26:02Mm-hmm. I just watched the partnership.
- 26:05I was never taught gender roles.
- 26:10And I mean, like, I'm not going to have my wife out here trying to shovel three
- 26:16feet of snow. No, hell no.
- 26:18I'm going to do that because I'm stronger, because I'm more physically capable.
- 26:23I'm not going to have my wife out here trying to help me change the brakes on
- 26:26the car. She don't know how.
- 26:30But at the same time, if she wanted to learn, I'd be willing to teach it. Come on out here.
- 26:35Yeah, I'd be willing to teach it. Hell yeah, I can use the help. Yeah. Yeah.
- 26:39Yeah. So, you know what I'm saying?
- 26:44Again, just get rid of the whole idea of traditional gender roles.
- 26:51It's a partnership. Help out where you can do what's needed.
- 26:55I do a lot of things I don't want to do, but they need to be done.
- 27:00So I do them. I understand.
- 27:03And in order for us to keep harmony in our relationship, that's what I got to do.
- 27:10Not about being a simp, not about your woman run you, your woman got you trained.
- 27:16All that. Nah, it's about a partnership.
- 27:19I don't want that woman to be stressed the same way that I don't want to be stressed.
- 27:24It's just that simple. I try and treat her the same way that I expect her to treat me.
- 27:30Point blank, period. End of the story. I don't even think there's nothing hard
- 27:35about that. Let's talk about these trad wives, bro.
- 27:39This is a this is another phenomenon that I I don't I don't understand in this sense.
- 27:47OK, let me put it like this. If that's something that you and your husband are
- 27:52cool with, then by all means, do your thing. Yeah.
- 27:56It's not my place to tell y'all what to do in your house behind closed doors.
- 28:01But but I guess I don't understand the women that's like actively trying to
- 28:08promote it because it's like you you you do know that women back then didn't have voting rights.
- 28:14Couldn't have bank accounts had to get their husband's permission
- 28:17to get yeah open bank accounts in the
- 28:2070s yeah so it's like this is this is
- 28:23this is what you want is is you want to
- 28:25have zero rights you want to you you want to forfeit your rights to own property
- 28:33and and and land and all of that stuff is is that what you want to go back to
- 28:38well here's something that goes
- 28:40back to what you just said a second about putting people under stress.
- 28:43And I'm just going to say this again. I'm going to stick my chest out and say this shit.
- 28:47If you come into my life and expect me to do everything, you can leave as fast as your ass out there.
- 28:54If you think that staying at home and doing the stuff at home and then waiting
- 29:00on me to pay every bill just because you know how to cook and clean,
- 29:06because I couldn't clean for my damn sake.
- 29:09My mama taught me that at a very young age. What if you can afford it, though?
- 29:13To do what? If you can afford to pay everything. That's not a partnership.
- 29:17That's servitude. That's just me having a slave in my house. Okay. Okay.
- 29:22Like, to me, it had, and look, I'm saying this as a divorced,
- 29:27and I understand, man, man, fool, you couldn't keep your wife.
- 29:30I understand I'm saying this as someone
- 29:34who's been through a couple of relationships and I'm a divorced man.
- 29:38None of those women can say that I ever put my hands on them,
- 29:42treated them bad, and told them that they had gender roles in a relationship.
- 29:48None of not a single woman that has
- 29:51ever come into my life can say that i've never cooked
- 29:54never cleaned never washed hell their clothes
- 29:57it makes no sense to me yeah but even if i could afford it you're gonna get
- 30:03up and do something because anything less than that i just got a prostitute
- 30:08in my house i mean hey i i don't i don't get it i know that sound harsh no but No, no.
- 30:16Like, I'm going to be honest with you, too. Like, when I see these old dudes
- 30:19with these, the sugar baby, sugar daddy thing. Yeah. You must be out of your damn mind.
- 30:26Man, you ain't doing that. You ain't doing nothing but spending money.
- 30:29If you think that I'm about to put you up in an apartment.
- 30:32Mm-hmm. Give you an allowance. For what?
- 30:34Mm-hmm. To have sex with me? Right. Right.
- 30:38And him. The cat that she really want.
- 30:44Right because when you're a sugar daddy you ain't the only one yeah yeah yeah
- 30:48yeah but yeah but no going we got it got off topic but going back to what you
- 30:54said about just the promotion of,
- 30:57and then using religion as the reason why it's it's strange to me it is strange
- 31:02like you it's perverse yeah you and i both grew up in the church our mothers
- 31:07would my mother is still Deep into the church,
- 31:10I could never see And my mother's in a relationship She's been in a relationship
- 31:14for 30 plus years I could never see my mother Bowing down.
- 31:20The man she's in a relationship and just saying, okay, well,
- 31:23I'll just do these traditional things.
- 31:26He would be out on the street so fast even if he had that mentality,
- 31:31which he does not, obviously. I just, I don't get it.
- 31:35Well, one, because they've never actually read the Bible for themselves in most cases.
- 31:41And they don't recognize probably the verses where it say, husband, don't stress your wife.
- 31:47Wife, don't stress your husband. And I'm sure they probably never read those episodes.
- 31:52I mean, episodes, my goodness. They never read those verses.
- 31:56And all of that entails. Maybe the DOJ redacted them. Perhaps, perhaps.
- 32:01But it's also like the style of dress.
- 32:06You know what I'm saying? Like they want to wear those old flowing dresses and
- 32:12have their hair pent up and got on makeup all day, every day.
- 32:17And it's just like, no, I want my wife to be comfortable when we walk in the
- 32:22room. To please me? Yeah.
- 32:23I want you to be comfortable walking around the house. How does it make you
- 32:26feel like a man by forcing your wife?
- 32:29Now, and a lot of these young ladies do it.
- 32:33And for those listening, we're not speaking for these young ladies.
- 32:36We're just going off of how we feel about the situation. A lot of them do it,
- 32:39like you said, for the lifestyle, for the money. Right.
- 32:42Because one, because they are kind of lazy and they don't want to work. Yeah.
- 32:46So, yeah, let me go get a cat with some money that's going to take care of me.
- 32:49And yeah, I'll do all of these things. I'll sacrifice these things.
- 32:54But what you don't, which goes back to what I was saying about the rights,
- 32:58what you don't understand.
- 33:01When you get older because a lot of these dudes like you were just talking about the sugar daddies,
- 33:05when you get older he gonna trade you in for a newer model and
- 33:09you're gonna be out on the street with nothing or
- 33:12be careful i don't seen enough true crime stories or yeah
- 33:16yeah dead yeah that young girl trying
- 33:19to take all your money yeah but but you want to
- 33:22you want to relinquish all of your rights then you're
- 33:25not you're not going to be able to sue in divorce court you're
- 33:29not going to be able to you know have a bank account
- 33:32so like you were saying so you got nothing these fools want to make it so you
- 33:36can't even vote just let that sink in i i don't understand the whole tradition
- 33:43of why this is what you want to go back to when you are basically like you said
- 33:47a consummate mother whore as they as they say on the best man,
- 33:53we have some of these guys that have come out that said women aren't smart enough to vote.
- 33:57Like a woman should not be allowed to make any decisions outside of the home. What? What?
- 34:07What? Yeah. Yeah. It's crazy.
- 34:10That right there alone is wild to me.
- 34:14And if you're, and if you're, if you are someone who's living that lifestyle,
- 34:18just hearing your partner, the
- 34:22person you love and is supposed to love you say those things they even have
- 34:28some pastors up there saying this type of stuff and then their wives getting
- 34:32in the car with them and going home what awkward that ride would be if i was
- 34:36a pastor and i was still married to my ex-wife man she'd probably grab the wheel
- 34:40and run us both into a tree,
- 34:43awkward for us but for them i guess they bought into it they don't they don't
- 34:48see anything wrong with it. They're like, yeah, absolutely.
- 34:52This is my job. This is my role. But again, it's misunderstood.
- 34:59That's not your role. Like you were saying, it's a partnership.
- 35:05Whenever you get through, in the end, a marriage or a relationship is a partnership, equal parts.
- 35:15Your opinion should matter to me Absolutely And as a man I value your opinion
- 35:23I want to hear your opinion Because I don't know everything,
- 35:29If we got a house together, what I decide to do for the house,
- 35:34with the house, et cetera, it affects you also.
- 35:37So you should have some input.
- 35:40I want your input because maybe I got a blind spot and maybe I need you to say, hey, hold on.
- 35:47You're tripping. Yeah. Yeah. You about to F up.
- 35:52Fall back. Fall back. So I don't know, man.
- 35:56I don't know. Somebody, somebody, you know, leave us a comment. Help us to understand.
- 36:01Are we way off base on this trad wife thing?
- 36:04I don't know. Let's get local for a minute, bro.
- 36:08Here in Indiana, the attorney general and the governor has introduced some legislation
- 36:16that is basically trying to force schools. They're there, there, there, there.
- 36:22In this legislation, they have a mandate that says schools must cooperate with
- 36:29ICE. If they call, if they come to visit, schools have to cooperate. Thank you.
- 36:38Are drug dealers, rapists, murderers hanging out in schools?
- 36:46Apparently so. Elementary schools, too. I mean, like if the original objective
- 36:52is to go after the quote unquote worst of the worst. You have my blessing. Go ahead.
- 37:00Why do you need legislation that says schools must cooperate with ICE?
- 37:04What are you really trying to do? what what
- 37:08what are you trying to accomplish by telling
- 37:11schools that they have to cooperate with i
- 37:14sounds to me like you're targeting kids well as a parent i mean i understand
- 37:19that some schools have you know police presence sure i get that especially here
- 37:23in central indiana i expect that but i don't want them some federal government
- 37:28agency being allowed to walk the halls of my kids school.
- 37:31I'm pulling my kids out of school so they're fast. Yes.
- 37:35And as any parent whether you're a Republican or Democrat you shouldn't want that. No sir. No.
- 37:42Talk about a kid feeling unsafe. Talk about a kid being scared to go to school.
- 37:49I mean like they always talk about this ridiculous mess about kids going to
- 37:55school as girls and coming home as boys which is like the absolute most absurd thing Ever.
- 38:01I mean, like, biologically, scientifically impossible.
- 38:06But think about you seeing your kid to school. That kid may not come home.
- 38:13And you like, where's my kid? The government took all hell.
- 38:17And see, and the difference is, too, a lot of these families,
- 38:21they're operating in just absolute, you know, just grief when their children are being.
- 38:28You're going to come across the wrong set of parents when their child's not coming home,
- 38:35Some of these ICE agents have been doxed. Nothing's happened.
- 38:39And again, I don't want anything to happen to them or their family.
- 38:44Somebody's going to get doxed and something bad's going to happen.
- 38:47You know it. I know it. We've seen it a million times in this country.
- 38:51One thing leads to another, leads to another, leads to another.
- 38:54It's like a chain reaction. Sure.
- 38:57Dude, I saw a episode of First 48 years ago.
- 39:01And this dude was in a gas station. He was trying to leave.
- 39:05And on the camera from the inside, he looked out and he saw somebody. He came back in.
- 39:1330, 40 seconds later, he was dead.
- 39:15At the end of the episode, you know who shot and killed him?
- 39:18The brother of somebody that that dude had killed 11 years ago.
- 39:25Recognizing. That dude was six years old. Wow.
- 39:29So from six to 17, he waited for that dude to get out of jail after serving
- 39:36a manslaughter conviction. I think he got like 10 years.
- 39:39So the six, he was six when his brother was killed, shot and killed that dude
- 39:43at the gas station. That's crazy.
- 39:46That's wild, bro. One thing leads to another. Yeah. To another.
- 39:51Yeah. Yeah. I feel you. I feel you. Yeah. I'm just.
- 39:55Yeah. I just don't understand.
- 39:58I just want to say vote, people.
- 40:01Down-ballot voting matters. I want to mention something locally, too.
- 40:06So the governor hasn't mentioned it himself publicly, but our idiot lieutenant
- 40:11governor talked about it. What an idiot.
- 40:14I guess Governor Braun wants Beckwith to do a.
- 40:19Meeting of sorts with community leaders, church leaders, and so on and so forth.
- 40:25He's going to do an executive order to have churches, community leaders,
- 40:30organizers, yada, yada, yada, get together and pick up the slack where the government's not.
- 40:36Yeah, the look on your face, I had to read it twice.
- 40:40So he's going to go around to churches and tell the churches,
- 40:44hey can you help out ain't that what they
- 40:47already do well at least some of them do but he's
- 40:50about to put an executive order in place it help
- 40:53out with what though isn't that way too vague help
- 40:56out with people who can't afford this or can't
- 40:59afford oh really yeah man you're
- 41:04right some churches already do that but don't don't
- 41:08no don't come ask me that you have way more resources than
- 41:11i do why would you want to put that burden on me but
- 41:14the fact that that's already what the churches are supposed to
- 41:17be yes yes and now you now you acting like you
- 41:20give a damn but you
- 41:23actively trying to cut people's health care that's my point right there yeah
- 41:27so i'm gonna cut it because the state ain't about to do it the church about
- 41:31to do it and look normally i'm like well yeah hell yeah make the church do it
- 41:36since they want to get into politics so much have the church help out a little bit more.
- 41:40But you and I both know this ain't to help no damn body. No,
- 41:43it's not. It's for optics.
- 41:47100%. 100%. That's wild, bro. You want to get into some Iran stuff real quick?
- 41:55Alright, so as I mentioned before we started, neither one of us will lose any
- 42:02sleep if the Ayatollah or the president are taken out, arrested,
- 42:07whatever the case may be.
- 42:09Now is the question
- 42:12i have let's be real they don't
- 42:15have any missiles that can reach us well well
- 42:18well wait though i mean because just a few months ago they were telling us that
- 42:23their entire nuclear stockpile was obliterated obliterated destroyed yeah doesn't
- 42:29exist rubble nothing left those
- 42:32are all the words he said too so just in a few months they are able to,
- 42:37rebuild the whole facility.
- 42:40Restock all of their nuclear.
- 42:44And fire off missiles. So you remember my bodyguard. That's all this is.
- 42:52Speak on that. So for those who don't know, my bodyguard is a movie.
- 42:59The bodyguard ended up being, I forget the dude's name. This is the 70s. We talking Matt Dillon.
- 43:05Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Matt Dillon was the bully.
- 43:09Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm going to go get somebody to help me.
- 43:14We are the bodyguard. We've swooped in at the behest of someone else.
- 43:22You know who it is. I know who it is. But at the risk of being.
- 43:28Called something that I know I'm not, I won't say who it is.
- 43:33The one that was here a couple weeks ago. figure it
- 43:36out what the fuck are we doing again
- 43:40i'm not gonna lose any sleep if the ayatollah and the president are gone i don't
- 43:45care good for bye hopefully the people of iran can go back to what it was in
- 43:53the 70s when they were able women and men were able to go mingle at the beach and.
- 44:01This shit here is nothing but a power grab. A few things.
- 44:06They're much bigger than Iraq.
- 44:10Three times aside. Iran is much bigger than Iraq. This is not going to be a easy peasy cakewalk.
- 44:18This is not the smoke that we want.
- 44:22Not that they can beat us. But if this escalates to the level that we fear,
- 44:29this is going to be a long war.
- 44:32With that being said, you keep claiming that you've ended eight wars, which is a lie.
- 44:39But all I see are you starting wars.
- 44:43You go and invade Venezuela.
- 44:47Now you're bombing Iran. you
- 44:51keep talking about invading Greenland which
- 44:54you want to take by force because they
- 44:57don't want to give it to you oh on what
- 45:00planet do you live on bro where you think you deserve a Nobel Peace Prize you
- 45:05obviously don't know what peace means like you are the antithesis of fucking
- 45:11peace and then to put together a board of peace what he's doing especially with
- 45:16a bunch of criminals With a bunch of criminals.
- 45:18Two have active international warrants. Correct. Let me say that again.
- 45:23Two people on the Board of Peace have active international criminal court war
- 45:29crime warrants on their heads, which is Netanyahu and Putin. We have a UN.
- 45:36We don't need you to create a pseudo board of peace.
- 45:41We have a UN that's supposed to do that already. But what's crazy,
- 45:44too, if you're a member of the UN, because they held an emergency meeting I
- 45:48was watching on BBC News.
- 45:50If you're a member of the UN, how you feel today?
- 45:54What am I here for?
- 45:58Strange times we're living in bro but what's crazy is
- 46:00that at this point and i and i'm
- 46:03i'm happy i'm not saying i want this to happen because
- 46:06lord knows i don't one of these days somebody's going to stand up in a un meeting
- 46:11was like well here's what's going to happen we're going to put boots on the
- 46:14ground and fight america now that's a suicide mission but someone in the un
- 46:21will say eventually enough is enough. Correct.
- 46:26Correct. Honestly, bro, we as Americans need to stand up and say enough is enough.
- 46:35We're at that point. I mean, like we know Republicans aren't going to do anything, but Lord have mercy.
- 46:42We have got to vote in these midterms.
- 46:47We have got to have some accountability i don't
- 46:50even think this is a republican democrat thing anymore this
- 46:54is just a right and wrong we're headed
- 46:57for destruction and on top of this with
- 47:00the board of peace and everything else what what people don't understand
- 47:03is behind the scenes he's consolidating power yeah
- 47:07and getting paid and getting paid getting paid
- 47:10in the process yeah it's all it's all
- 47:12a ruse it i mean like it ain't even hard to see like we were saying the other
- 47:17podcast it's not even sophisticated it's all right here in the open yeah the
- 47:22problem is these republicans just keep trying to turn a blind eye to it but
- 47:27it's not even sophisticated oh lord have mercy well
- 47:32you know what they're thinking is too well if there's no midterms i'll just
- 47:35stay in power yeah for sure for sure for sure which which also may be a reason why so uh.
- 47:44To react and so quick to bomb because if you can claim that we're in war,
- 47:50you can use the Emergency War Act and basically cancel the election.
- 47:58Boy, boy, boy. I mean, we hate to say that we predicted this,
- 48:02but I mean, like we just said, it wasn't even sophisticated.
- 48:06I think the plan was always simple.
- 48:08It's just that no one was pushing back against it. And again,
- 48:11you and I are the type of people that would hear people
- 48:14say stuff like this and we'd be like nah that'll never happen
- 48:17here right but yet here we are here we are you're right
- 48:20you're right in america here we are all right
- 48:23y'all as you probably noticed by now that we went past current events and our
- 48:29right but we are going to keep our five on the black hand side segment and our
- 48:35closing monologue so with that being said we're going to get into our five on
- 48:40the black hand side what's the movie we picked this week, bro.
- 48:43So today we picked Roll Bounce. Roll Bounce.
- 48:46Came out in 2005.
- 48:51So I'm going to give a brief synopsis of the movie.
- 48:54So the setting is 78 Chicago. Yep, South Side. We were three.
- 49:00And during those days, you know, roller disco craze, the story follows Xavier
- 49:05Smith, played by Bow Wow, talented young skater whose world revolves around
- 49:11his local South Side hangout Palisade Gardens.
- 49:15The conflict in the movie, the beloved Palisade Gardens closes doors.
- 49:21X and his crew of friends find that they've lost their second home,
- 49:26left with nowhere to skate in their own neighborhood and forced to head across town.
- 49:30To the flashy upscale Sweetwater roller rink on the north side.
- 49:35Who the man up there? Sweetwater. Sweetness.
- 49:39Sorry, Sweetness. Yeah.
- 49:41Yeah, we ain't talking about Waltz. Yeah. So at Sweetwater, the underdogs,
- 49:47they immediately clash with the reigning king of the rink, a flashy and arrogant
- 49:51superstar named Sweetness, played by Wesley Jonathan.
- 49:55Sweetness. To earn respect and prove they belong, X and his crew enter the annual
- 50:00Sweetwater Skate Off, a high stakes competition with a cash prize that could change everything.
- 50:06Here's a little known fact about Bow Wow and Wesley Jonathan.
- 50:14Did pretty much everything all the
- 50:16skating all the skating because apparently both of them were like avid
- 50:19skaters interesting and a lot of people behind the scenes and the crew said
- 50:25that like those scenes were real like of them skating yeah oh wow they were
- 50:30competing like and they say off camera they argued like they were they were
- 50:34literally fighting with each other trying to win Can you skate? Used to be able to.
- 50:40Not very well. Not for me, bro. I will break my neck, bro.
- 50:46It was not my thing. So not to jump off subject. Well, we didn't go to the skating
- 50:50rink back in the day, which we'll get to. We didn't go to the skating rink back home.
- 50:53We went and stood on the wall and talked to girls. Right.
- 50:57When we went to Gatlinburg, I think it was our maybe third wedding anniversary.
- 51:02And we were in Gatlinburg that first night. We went up into the mountains and went ice skating.
- 51:08Interesting. And I lost my balance.
- 51:12I'm pretty sure. I thought I told you this story. You did. But you can ice skate and roller skate.
- 51:17No, I didn't say I could. Oh, okay. I tried. Okay. Okay. Okay.
- 51:22Lost my balance. Now, she out there skating. She could skate.
- 51:27She rolled past, rolled past, messing with me, and this dude was like,
- 51:32hey, man, just take your hand off the wall.
- 51:33Just do this and do this, and it'll help you get moving. And I was moving.
- 51:37Lost my balance. Landed on my back.
- 51:39The first two days of the trip, we didn't do nothing.
- 51:43Back. Oh, man, I was messed up.
- 51:46Knocked the wind out of me. Yeah. Everything. First time, first and only time
- 51:50I've ever had the wind knocked out of me. Yeah. Scary as hell. Yeah.
- 51:53But anyway, so the heart of the story, while the movie is packed with high energy
- 51:57skating routines and 70s comedy, of course Mike Epps and Charlie Murphy is in
- 52:02it. The real story is about family.
- 52:05X is secretly struggling to connect with his grieving father,
- 52:08Curtis, played by Sean McBride, who's hiding the fact that he lost his job.
- 52:13The rink becomes the place where X doesn't just learn to compete,
- 52:16he learns how to grow up, handle loss, and find his own rhythm. Yep.
- 52:22No, I agree. I think this is more of a coming of age story for X and his buddies
- 52:30and also the story about how to deal with grief.
- 52:34So that's that's the backdrop.
- 52:37You got a few touching scenes and, you know, his father was ignoring the grief of the mom passing.
- 52:45And Xavier Bow Wow noticed that
- 52:49his father was struggling but also at the same time was like
- 52:51man you you got to stop ignoring me like she's
- 52:55gone she's not coming back I miss her too but you got to be here for us like
- 52:59we need you so snap out of it and you know be a father you know so so yeah it
- 53:06was it was it was uh very very touching in those moments like I said the the
- 53:12The skating is the main focus,
- 53:14but the backdrop is a story about grief and about growing up and coming of age and all of that.
- 53:19You mentioned Mike Epps, Charlie Murphy.
- 53:22Rest in peace, Charlie Murphy. The Garbage Man. It was absolutely hilarious.
- 53:26Just, yes. Yeah.
- 53:29Abso-freaking-lutely hilarious. I really got a great, great cast.
- 53:33I'm trying to think. The crew. Brandon T. Jackson.
- 53:37Cleo Thomas. Yep. What's the? Journey Smollett. Journey Smollett.
- 53:42What's the Hispanic kid?
- 53:43Like Rick something, the Puerto Rican guy. I got his name in there.
- 53:48Was in that real quick there was cameos by wayne brady cameos
- 53:51by yeah making good was in that cameos by
- 53:54nick cannon oh yeah yeah he sure was
- 53:57yeah yeah yeah he had got a really great cast him and wesley jonathan the same
- 54:02movie that's first time anybody ever seen them two together yeah yeah exactly
- 54:06soundtrack great soundtrack great 70s soundtrack yeah she she mentioned the Bee Gees.
- 54:15She was singing Emotions. Uh-huh.
- 54:17I love this song. One of my favorites.
- 54:20Yeah, just an all-around good movie, man. I really did enjoy this movie.
- 54:26Than I thought I would, actually. I mean, because we were grown-ups when this
- 54:31movie came out. Oh, yeah. Absolutely.
- 54:33The kids loved it, too. Yeah.
- 54:35Well, I was watching it with the kids, and I'm just like, oh,
- 54:38I actually like this movie, because I'm like, I don't want to watch it.
- 54:41I want to watch a movie about roller skating and disco.
- 54:44I don't skate. I'm not a roller skater.
- 54:46I'm like, this does not appeal to me, but yeah, this movie actually did appeal to me. I liked it a lot.
- 54:51So, I liken it to obviously you
- 54:55know we grew up around quite a few skating rinks when we were coming up
- 54:59two in particular streaming wheels which
- 55:02is where our older siblings right would
- 55:05have been going and then of course the roller dome yep gossiping
- 55:09of course we just used to call it the skate rink the rink right yeah the
- 55:12rink we used to get dropped off that man it was basically like a
- 55:15neighborhood daycare yeah i mean back in them days you can
- 55:17drop your kids off like literally at 10 in the morning yeah and
- 55:20they would just skate yeah all day
- 55:24long i wouldn't call what i was
- 55:26doing skating it's more like falling because that's all
- 55:29i did was fall it's definitely not my not
- 55:32my bag bro i don't i don't know why i don't
- 55:35know if i just never took enough time to
- 55:38actually care but man i can't even stand
- 55:41up in skates bro so one of the things that
- 55:43i think this generation missed out a lot on and that movie helped
- 55:47remind because because we used to talk about it a lot those lock-ins screaming
- 55:52wheels used to have lock-ins then they would feed you breakfast and for those
- 55:57who've never been to a lock-in because the y used to have yeah i went to a couple
- 56:00of those screaming wheels will have the lock-ins screaming wheels was in gary.
- 56:05And they would literally lock the doors at midnight yeah and you'd be there
- 56:08and it was just all night skating park yeah pretty much.
- 56:13Why and yeah it was the same thing we did basketball football wrestle yep yep
- 56:19all night that trampoline room yep everything i never went in there i i wish
- 56:24it was stinky and it was hot in the mind true true but yeah i was just mostly
- 56:29trying to play ball and then where the girls at.
- 56:34Which during them lockouts yeah it was a a lot of everybody yeah and of course
- 56:40for us I mean, it was in a different school district, even though it was only.
- 56:44Bro, we used to walk to the Y, bro.
- 56:47Walk there, home. That's a long-ass walk. It's not, though.
- 56:52It felt like it. So that first, well, if you went this way toward Columbia Center,
- 56:59because, you know, it depended on.
- 57:01So you're saying when you cut up Southeastern, it makes it a lot shorter.
- 57:05Yeah, because, well, especially now, because, you know, they got those bike
- 57:08paths and you can walk. Yeah. You got to cut through grass.
- 57:12But, yeah, if you went toward Columbia Center, you know, sometimes you had 10,
- 57:1615 people. Yeah, yeah, and then take all the way.
- 57:18Yeah, which is what it was. You wanted to just be with the crowd.
- 57:21So, most of the time, it was to walk through Columbia Center.
- 57:23Shoot, man, we used to ride our bikes to Columbia Center. And, man. Which is a long.
- 57:29That's far away from the crib. Dirt bikes. Not 10 speeds.
- 57:32Dirt bikes. Imagine our kids when they were small.
- 57:35You'd be like, no, you're not. You're not going there. Yeah.
- 57:38We're going to walk. No, you're not. get in the car.
- 57:41I'll drop you off like you ain't the times were so different back then.
- 57:44I still say man if I told my mother now some of the places I've been she would
- 57:49be like you did what? Facts.
- 57:59So something that, and I'm sure once I say it, you'll be like, oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 58:04If I asked you, was there a sequel to Roll Bounce, what would you say?
- 58:08No. It was. Really? Sure was. What was the sequel, bro? It was set in Atlanta.
- 58:15The movie with T.I. now? Six months later, with a whole different cast. It's the same movie.
- 58:20But it's not Malcolm Lee, though, right? no so so okay i get you it's not an
- 58:25official right i got you i feel it's basically you're right though yeah you're
- 58:30right no chris robinson that was his first right right right right right
- 58:34but it's it's funny because when i was like doing research on the movie again,
- 58:39and it's and there's somebody hold on hold on man now i'm thinking about this
- 58:43it's the same movie so the lauren london character is basically the megan good
- 58:48character yeah oh wow T.I.'s Bow Wow. Yeah.
- 58:53Jeez, O.P., you're right. It is the same movie. Big Boy is Wesley Jonathan,
- 58:57just in a different manner.
- 58:59Yeah, yeah. Nah, straight up. Which, by the way, his character was hilarious in that movie.
- 59:05Wesley Jonathan or Big Boy? Big Boy. Oh, man.
- 59:08He had some memorable scenes in that movie. Yeah, but I couldn't buy him as
- 59:12the gangster, though. But what was funny is he wasn't trying to be.
- 59:17He just was who he was. Thank you.
- 59:21What'd he say? I know who I didn't think it is.
- 59:25Oh, man. When T.I. jumped out, was hitting on the window. Yeah.
- 59:29And he said, boy, y'all, what'd he say? No, he was walking in the house.
- 59:31He said, boy, y'all light-skinned people, so think y'all hard. Yeah.
- 59:36That was, what's the name, first movie? Diana Ross, son. That was his first
- 59:40movie, right? Evan Ross. Yep. Yeah.
- 59:43Which he did a good job in it, too. But yeah, those movies were set.
- 59:46Let me see. Well, it came out different years, obviously, but it was only six months apart.
- 59:51I did not know that bro but you're right it is pretty much the same movie because
- 59:55yeah they were skating at the rink and all that kind of stuff yeah you're right
- 1:00:00bro I never even paid attention to that dealing with grief yeah facts,
- 1:00:05because their mother wasn't there you're right.
- 1:00:09Instead of a little sister it was a little brother that was old enough to get
- 1:00:15into some trouble to get into some trouble but nah you're right bro I never
- 1:00:20even thought about that. Damn, that's crazy.
- 1:00:24Yeah, but that, Roll Bounce, even now, I think in the last year,
- 1:00:32I've walked into the house and that movie was on.
- 1:00:36It's a good rewatch. Yeah. It really is.
- 1:00:40And again, I mean, I probably gave it away, but yeah, I like this movie.
- 1:00:46I really do. So you want to rate this thing? Yeah.
- 1:00:50I'm going to give it four out of five. I'm going to give it four high fives
- 1:00:55on the black hand side. You know what? I think I'm going to match that.
- 1:00:59All right. Because I don't think it's a five. Mm-mm.
- 1:01:02But the nostalgia of it. Yeah, yeah. Because like we said, the skating culture
- 1:01:08was coming up. Right, right, right.
- 1:01:10And like I said, it did have some touching moments. It's not all just goofy and comedic.
- 1:01:15You know what I'm saying? And I, I, I enjoyed, I enjoyed this.
- 1:01:22This is probably my, my, if I was to rank Malcolm Lee movies, I,
- 1:01:26best man the first one is probably his best movie but
- 1:01:29road bounce would be his second movie and then
- 1:01:32you can throw in undercover brother and best man
- 1:01:35christmas and all that other garbage but uh those
- 1:01:38that don't know that's spike lee's brother cousin i think that's his brother
- 1:01:42is it okay but yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah this is probably my second favorite
- 1:01:47uh malcolm lee movie all right well we got one more segment to get to and we
- 1:01:52are going to go into our closing monologue Are you ready, brother?
- 1:01:58You know what? I am. But I want to say something before I get into the close of my life. Okay.
- 1:02:05Two things that are near and dear to our heart. Hammond, Indiana and the Chicago Bears. Okay.
- 1:02:11I just want to say something. Okay. I think I know where you're going with this,
- 1:02:15but go ahead. This is to the Chicago listeners.
- 1:02:17Nobody wants to be you. Oh, man.
- 1:02:22Let me say that again. We don't want to be you.
- 1:02:26We ain't never tried to be you. Do we enjoy Chicago?
- 1:02:31Absolutely. My favorite city on this planet is Chicago, Illinois. Always has been.
- 1:02:39But you think that just because the Chicago Bears are looking at coming to Hammond,
- 1:02:45Indiana, that we just want to be you?
- 1:02:48That has nothing to do with fandom. Right.
- 1:02:52We didn't want to be called the greater Chicago land area. Thank you.
- 1:02:57McCormick, who used to run the Chicago Sun-Times, gave us that moniker.
- 1:03:02We've never tried to be you politically.
- 1:03:05We have always been the Calumet region or the region for short.
- 1:03:11Hammond is closer to Chicago, downtown Chicago, than a lot of the suburbs.
- 1:03:18Way closer. Thank you. Way closer. So I don't even get the disdain because we've always been there.
- 1:03:26My mother rode the South Shore for two decades daily with my auntie.
- 1:03:33Simple as that. Daily. Simple as that.
- 1:03:36You leave. You can leave where we grew up. I lived on one street.
- 1:03:40You live on the next street.
- 1:03:41We can leave there and be in downtown Chicago in what, 10, 15 minutes? Yes.
- 1:03:45And we're not exaggerating. 10, 15 minutes. We'd be in downtown Chicago.
- 1:03:50Now, is it a little longer now? Yeah, because there's more cars on the road.
- 1:03:53Because getting on the Dan Ryan or that section by over there where my father lived.
- 1:04:01Which by even with that, I spent half of my life in the state of Illinois.
- 1:04:06Commuting back to Hammond to go to high school every day.
- 1:04:10And when anybody asked me where I was from, I'm from Hammond.
- 1:04:13In fact, Arlington Heights is further away from Chicago than Hammond is.
- 1:04:20Dude, Arlington Heights from downtown Chicago on a good day is 45 minutes.
- 1:04:27Mm-hmm. On a good day. Mm-hmm. And on game day, we're talking an hour, hour 15.
- 1:04:32Better believe it, if not more, because of traffic.
- 1:04:36Better believe it. I saw one of the complaints from somebody who came over from
- 1:04:42Chicago to Hammond to just look at the area.
- 1:04:46The damn train down there by the roadway.
- 1:04:50Well, this is going to slow down. No, it's not because if you're coming from
- 1:04:54the south side, you don't have to worry about that shit.
- 1:04:56If you're getting off the tollway, you ain't got to worry about that shit.
- 1:05:00But the smart thing would be to increase the trains.
- 1:05:05That would be the smart thing.
- 1:05:08No, I get you. Oh, freight trains. Right there by off of God's way.
- 1:05:12Well, hey, that's just a part of living and having trains. Period.
- 1:05:17Which I don't miss. I don't miss that shit at all. No, sir.
- 1:05:21But I feel like I had to say that. And again, we love Chicago.
- 1:05:27Yeah. We are called the greater Chicagoland area. Correct.
- 1:05:31By Chicago. Correct. Even when you see some commercials, they say Chicagoland
- 1:05:37Northwest Indiana. Yes.
- 1:05:40Or Webb Ford and Highland. Come and see us at your greater Chicagoland area
- 1:05:45web for the island indiana yeah yeah like we were discussing on the phone the
- 1:05:51other day east chicago is east of chicago which is in indiana thank you.
- 1:06:02Again not saying we don't love the city because we do right it is a must whenever
- 1:06:07i go home that i do go into chicago get some food go downtown whatever the case
- 1:06:13may be love the place But man,
- 1:06:16so many people were coming out like we were New Jersey Like we were armpit of the Midwest Right,
- 1:06:22that's what I don't get That part When the second they build that stadium,
- 1:06:29all y'all will be in Hammond, Indiana Yeah, I feel you,
- 1:06:33monologues, bro? Yeah, I'm coming. All right.
- 1:06:38So, yeah, so I want to talk about the Board of Peace, or the Board of Kings, rather.
- 1:06:46So, they call it the Board of Peace, but look at who's holding the gavel.
- 1:06:52We're told this is the most prestigious board in history.
- 1:06:56When you look at the names, it looks less like a Peace Summit,
- 1:07:00more like a lineup. You have Benjamin Netanyahu, I mentioned earlier,
- 1:07:06an active ICC arrest warrant for war crimes.
- 1:07:09Sitting as a founding member, by the way, you have Tony Blair,
- 1:07:13who orchestrated the Iraq disaster, giving advice on stability.
- 1:07:19Let me say that again. Tony Blair is giving advice on stability.
- 1:07:25And then there's the chairman himself telling us that since this board exists,
- 1:07:30they can finally, and I quote, do whatever they want.
- 1:07:35Well, today, whatever they want looks like Operation Epic Fury,
- 1:07:39which is also a dumbass name.
- 1:07:41It's nothing but Tomahawk missiles over Tehran.
- 1:07:45I mentioned earlier, none of us are shedding tears for the Ayatollah.
- 1:07:49We know that regime has been a boot on the neck of Iranian people since you
- 1:07:53and I were four years old.
- 1:07:55If they were gone tomorrow, the world might be a better place.
- 1:07:58But don't tell me this war is about helping the Iranian people.
- 1:08:02This isn't help. It's a power grab. This is about a board of indicted leaders
- 1:08:08and billionaires using our military to settle old scores and stabilize,
- 1:08:14air quotes, a region by setting it on fire.
- 1:08:17We don't want this war. We would love for Iran to be free.
- 1:08:21We won't get it from a board that thinks peace is something you buy with a million dollar entry fee.
- 1:08:27I'm sorry, billion dollar entry fee and enforce with a predator drone.
- 1:08:32If this is the new piece, I'm terrified of what they call war.
- 1:08:38All right. Well said.
- 1:08:40All right, y'all. This concludes episode 23 of For the Fan Podcast.
- 1:08:46We tried to keep it light, light, light-ish.
- 1:08:51Sorry about that. Sorry. It's all good.
