- 0:00Speaker 1: Win in the holiday season. And you know you always
- 0:03Speaker 1: talk about this, but the power of being grateful, man,
- 0:06Speaker 1: you start every day. I think you think people understand
- 0:10Speaker 1: that you start this every day. You start your show
- 0:12Speaker 1: with it, you close your show with gratitude.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Just being grateful, I mean, it's essential element to success.
- 0:23Speaker 2: It's the most underused and underappreciated tool for success. It's
- 0:31Speaker 2: such a mandatory tool to be successful, but it's one
- 0:35Speaker 2: of the most overlooked because people are trying to use
- 0:38Speaker 2: stuff like hard work, studying, you know, research development, or
- 0:47Speaker 2: they try to use classes as a tool. People go
- 0:52Speaker 2: and take seminars, or people by self help books, literature,
- 0:59Speaker 2: you know all of this stuff. Man, there is not
- 1:04Speaker 2: a tactic more useful to you becoming successful than gratitude.
- 1:13Speaker 2: The moment you become truly grateful that you in earnest
- 1:18Speaker 2: show true gratitude, you cannot imagine what it opens up
- 1:23Speaker 2: for you. First of all, it signals to God that
- 1:28Speaker 2: you appreciate what He's done. And the reason you lose
- 1:31Speaker 2: sight of gratitude is because your focus is solely on
- 1:35Speaker 2: what's missing in your life, what you don't have, what
- 1:39Speaker 2: you learn for your goals, your aspirations, and you've lost
- 1:44Speaker 2: focus of everything He's done for you. And if you
- 1:48Speaker 2: want to become more successful, you have to become more grateful. See,
- 1:55Speaker 2: the more grateful you are, the more grateful you are,
- 1:58Speaker 2: the more God will give you to be grateful. Four.
- 2:02Speaker 2: But if you show no gratitude, it's just a lack
- 2:05Speaker 2: of appreciation. It's like snack never saying thank you? Are
- 2:08Speaker 2: you serious, man, as you're a human being? Now, how
- 2:12Speaker 2: many times can you do something for somebody and they
- 2:15Speaker 2: never say thank you for it? Do you know how
- 2:17Speaker 2: you would make note of that? I say all the time.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Let's you know, back in the old days, people used
- 2:24Speaker 2: to go down the street and borrow an ingredient, cup
- 2:27Speaker 2: of sugar fly or something like that. Let's say you
- 2:31Speaker 2: walk down the street one day and you buy a
- 2:32Speaker 2: cup of sugar, bar a couple of sugar from a neighbor,
- 2:34Speaker 2: and he give you the cup and you get to say, hey, man, cool,
- 2:38Speaker 2: just what I need it and walk off ah okkk.
- 2:42Speaker 2: But you come back again for another cup of sugar.
- 2:45Speaker 2: They give you another cup of sugar and you walk
- 2:48Speaker 2: off and say, man, that's the second time I'd have
- 2:51Speaker 2: been over here. Man, got it? Man? And you walk off. Now,
- 2:56Speaker 2: keep in mind now you ain't saying thank you, but
- 2:58Speaker 2: the person you come to too kind of goes, hey, man,
- 3:02Speaker 2: I keep giving this person a cup of sugar. And
- 3:05Speaker 2: I've noticed they don't ever even just say a comic
- 3:08Speaker 2: courtis they don't never say thank you. So how many
- 3:11Speaker 2: times do you think you could go back to that
- 3:13Speaker 2: person steady asking for stuff and never say thank you.
- 3:16Speaker 2: You don't show no gratitude, like it's a given, like
- 3:20Speaker 2: they supposed to, like you take it for granted, like
- 3:23Speaker 2: you just assume. So now the fourth time you go
- 3:27Speaker 2: down the street and you say, hey, man, can I
- 3:29Speaker 2: get a cup of sugar?
- 3:31Speaker 1: No?
- 3:31Speaker 2: We out? Man? I well on, man, what you mean
- 3:35Speaker 2: you out? I know you got it? No good, we
- 3:38Speaker 2: were good man. We ain't got nothing. Now you walk away,
- 3:41Speaker 2: You'll never know what it is for. But I can
- 3:43Speaker 2: assure you that man to say it to himself. He
- 3:46Speaker 2: come down here every time I fill up his cup
- 3:48Speaker 2: of sugar, he never say thank you. Now, God ain't
- 3:51Speaker 2: that way, And ain't we fortunate that he's not that way?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Cause you know how many times he wakes us up,
- 3:57Speaker 2: and how many people don't ever say thank you for
- 3:59Speaker 2: waking me up, but then he do it again tomorrow.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You better be glad God ain't us. You better be
- 4:06Speaker 2: glad God is who he is. But imagine, though, if
- 4:12Speaker 2: before you ask God for stuff, you went down a
- 4:15Speaker 2: list of things that you showed gratitude for. Like I
- 4:18Speaker 2: tell you something, man, I had to really get a
- 4:20Speaker 2: focus on the past few years. I was steady asking
- 4:23Speaker 2: God for stuff. I was thanking him, being grateful, but
- 4:26Speaker 2: I wasn't really thanking him enough. And it dawned on
- 4:29Speaker 2: me one day that whole list, Steve, that you keep
- 4:33Speaker 2: asking God for this whole, this deal, that deal, this money,
- 4:39Speaker 2: this check, this deal, that money. Hey, man, do you
- 4:44Speaker 2: realize what all you have? So I started paying close
- 4:49Speaker 2: attention because the real way to pray is you're supposed
- 4:53Speaker 2: to offer thanks before you asked for something. You know,
- 4:57Speaker 2: like it would help you if you went back down
- 4:59Speaker 2: to the house and you said thank you every time
- 5:02Speaker 2: he gave it to you. But he said, but if
- 5:04Speaker 2: you went back and said, hey man, listen, I know
- 5:06Speaker 2: I'm back again. I show appreciate you helping me. Man.
- 5:09Speaker 2: We just down and out down the street. Man, I
- 5:12Speaker 2: know I've came down before, and I appreciate the other
- 5:15Speaker 2: two cups you gave me, but I really need to
- 5:17Speaker 2: bar another cup. Man, he would be more than happy
- 5:20Speaker 2: to give you a cup of sugar. So when you
- 5:22Speaker 2: go to God, you got to show some gratitude because man,
- 5:27Speaker 2: I had to start remembering of all he had done
- 5:29Speaker 2: for me. And once I started looking at what all
- 5:32Speaker 2: he had done for me, sometimes, Man, I'm gonna tell you,
- 5:35Speaker 2: like the other day, I was praying and I was
- 5:38Speaker 2: going down everything. I was getting real specific about what
- 5:40Speaker 2: He owed me, about what He's done for me. Bruh,
- 5:44Speaker 2: do you realize man? I just stopped. I said, hey, man,
- 5:47Speaker 2: you need to stop. He didn't done enough for you.
- 5:50Speaker 2: He adn't done a lot for you. But it has
- 5:52Speaker 2: opened up the windows of blessings for Heaven to throw
- 5:55Speaker 2: out a blessing that I can't receive. I have a
- 5:59Speaker 2: life of abundance because God has gotten me into overflow
- 6:05Speaker 2: because of how grateful I am for everything He's given me.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I dare you to try that. I dare you to
- 6:12Speaker 2: try that and watch God how he opens up windows
- 6:16Speaker 2: for you. Just show gratitude. Man, those are my closees remarks.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Have yourself a great day to day. Talk to God today.
- 6:23Speaker 2: He would absolutely love to hear from you. He really would.
