- 0:09Speaker 1: If you woke up this morning and that's exactly how
- 0:12Speaker 1: you sounded. Your house is freezing because you haven't turned
- 0:15Speaker 1: the heat on. When do you seven oh one two
- 0:18Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven. When did your heat
- 0:22Speaker 1: come on? Angie?
- 0:23Speaker 2: You know it's been on and off for the last
- 0:27Speaker 2: I want to say, week or so, and not last night,
- 0:31Speaker 2: but the night prior I flicked it on because I
- 0:34Speaker 2: was like, I feel like it's gonna be really cold,
- 0:38Speaker 2: because that's when you were on here and you're like
- 0:39Speaker 2: tonight alone twenty eight and I was like, oh, okay,
- 0:43Speaker 2: I feel like I have to put put the heater on. Yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 2: And then yesterday I realized that it was off, like
- 0:49Speaker 2: when I got home from work, and I thought, oh,
- 0:51Speaker 2: that's weird because I don't believe in anyone touching the
- 0:53Speaker 2: thermostat besides myself. But I asked the kids, and apparently Aiden,
- 0:59Speaker 2: the old one, he turned it off. And it was
- 1:01Speaker 2: because in the middle of the night, Liam woke up
- 1:04Speaker 2: and was like drenched in sweat. He was like it
- 1:08Speaker 2: was just too hot. It was too hot to sleep,
- 1:12Speaker 2: so I had to. Last night, I didn't touch it.
- 1:15Speaker 2: The AC wasn't on, but the heater wasn't on either.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I just let whatever temperature be the temperature.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You were just letting the weather take the wheel there, Yes, exactly.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I you know what, I trust mother Nature, she has
- 1:28Speaker 2: my back.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I guess.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Yeah, we've had our heat on.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I don't normally the first time I turn it on, right,
- 1:33Speaker 1: it's when inside the house it's probably like sixty degrees.
- 1:38Speaker 1: That would be about the number, if somewhere between sixty
- 1:41Speaker 1: and sixty two. Because I know, I know, just like
- 1:46Speaker 1: I know the sun is going to rise in the
- 1:48Speaker 1: east and set in the west every day. I know
- 1:51Speaker 1: my wife is going to come home and tell me
- 1:53Speaker 1: it's cold and we need the heat on. So I
- 1:55Speaker 1: just turn it on when it's about sixty. Miranda says,
- 1:58Speaker 1: I think I turned on my three weeks ago. We
- 2:01Speaker 1: have a house full of wooses. And this is the
- 2:05Speaker 1: most Midwest conversation ever. They don't talk about this in Florida.
- 2:08Speaker 1: When does the heat come on? No, it's like, oh,
- 2:11Speaker 1: has the ac been running for eighty straight years? Ashley says,
- 2:16Speaker 1: it was fifty nine in my house this morning and
- 2:18Speaker 1: we haven't turned ours on yet. Ashley saving some bucks
- 2:21Speaker 1: on a trooper. Jennifer says, I'd like to keep it
- 2:25Speaker 1: at sixty in the winter, which is crazy, but hey,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I support it. Whatever you're doing, and I'll save a
- 2:31Speaker 1: couple bucks. Or if sixty five is too hot, whatever,
- 2:34Speaker 1: sixty in January is crazy.
- 2:37Speaker 2: No, I feel like that's okay. Here's my thing. They
- 2:40Speaker 2: always say that there are two types of people, people
- 2:42Speaker 2: who run hot and people who run cold, and then
- 2:45Speaker 2: they marry each other.
- 2:46Speaker 1: That's my wife exactly.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I run so hot. Yeah, I have my ac on
- 2:52Speaker 2: in the car in the wintertime because I'm just always
- 2:55Speaker 2: a hot, sweaty broad. But I always tell my kids
- 2:58Speaker 2: whenever they're like, mom, it's cold up here, I'm like, okay,
- 3:03Speaker 2: you can't put on more layers, and there's only so
- 3:07Speaker 2: much I can take off. And I'm definitely not trying
- 3:09Speaker 2: to run around naked in front of my children. So
- 3:12Speaker 2: if you can pilele on blankets, that's what we're gonna do.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's definitely an easy alternative. Cooling down is a
- 3:20Speaker 1: lot harder than warming up, all right, And I think
- 3:24Speaker 1: William and I might have the same wife. I might
- 3:26Speaker 1: have to send her a text to be like, you
- 3:28Speaker 1: have two husbands, William said. My wife turned the heater
- 3:32Speaker 1: on this summer, the summer that sounds like someone I'm
- 3:35Speaker 1: married to.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Okay, my little victory Gabe is that now I am
- 3:47Speaker 2: fitting into a second pair of jeans that I could
- 3:52Speaker 2: not fit into because I got happy fat. I want
- 3:57Speaker 2: to say, that's what it is, a happy fat, happy fat,
- 4:01Speaker 2: like when you are happy in a relationship. So all
- 4:04Speaker 2: you guys do is like snuggle and cuddle and eat snacks.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Oh love be fat, Oh love weight.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Okay, I like it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I get what you're saying. Yeah, happy fat, love weight,
- 4:13Speaker 1: same same ballpark. Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 2: So but I'm, you know, trying to slim down a
- 4:17Speaker 2: bit just because I don't want to have to buy
- 4:19Speaker 2: new clothes. Like I already have a lot of clothes,
- 4:21Speaker 2: so I might as well try to fit back into it.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So I am in a pair of jeans that I
- 4:26Speaker 2: haven't worn in easily a year. So I'm slowly but
- 4:30Speaker 2: surely getting there. Slow and steady wins the race. That's
- 4:33Speaker 2: what I learned as a child. So I'm very excited.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I love that for you.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Good to you, very proud you know when you come in,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know every week or every other week or whatever
- 4:41Speaker 1: and let me know about your uh. I don't know
- 4:44Speaker 1: your fitness, your slim down, whatever you want to call it.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm always happy and proud for you.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I call it watch the number fall on the scale?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Is that because it's all fall I'm so stupid? Hey,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I got there, though, I got I was with you.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Do you want to know what I'm proud of my
- 5:00Speaker 1: little victory? Yesterday my wife and I went to Jersey Mike's.
- 5:04Speaker 1: All right, We've been driving past Jersey Mike's for the
- 5:06Speaker 1: past week, and every time we do, we're always saying
- 5:10Speaker 1: we should get some Jersey Mikes, right, but then we
- 5:13Speaker 1: end up at McDonald's because we want the monopoly pieces.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Gosh, you are obsessed with that. I have not gone
- 5:18Speaker 2: to McDonald's, not once.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I need to do that.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I No, I can't answer that question or I can't
- 5:23Speaker 1: follow up to that statement. But I got the biggest
- 5:27Speaker 1: possible sandwich you can get at Jersey Mikes, like the giant.
- 5:31Speaker 3: One or whatever.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never got one, and I've always wanted to
- 5:34Speaker 1: do it. And yesterday, just on a whim, I was like, yeah,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'll take one of them number eight joints, but can
- 5:40Speaker 1: I get the longest one? Yeah? And that's the little victory.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I've never gotten to buy one, and I did yesterday.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Did you eat the entire sandwich? Or when we are
- 5:49Speaker 2: done on air today, do you have some sandwich?
- 5:52Speaker 4: You know?
- 5:53Speaker 3: I got half sitting in the fridge here at work.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You know, My little victory is always a revolve around
- 5:58Speaker 1: my ten o'clock like breakfast, lash lunch.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like lately years have been very food
- 6:04Speaker 2: related and mine have been like, I'm stopping eating so
- 6:07Speaker 2: much food now.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I know that's what it sounds like when you turn
- 6:17Speaker 1: Netflix on. But as streaming platforms continue to only grow
- 6:23Speaker 1: in popularity, so are the prices. HBO is raising prices again.
- 6:30Speaker 1: All right, it's gonna cost you upwards of almost twenty
- 6:33Speaker 1: dollars now for you know, like the standard plan, the higher,
- 6:38Speaker 1: the higher video quality and more simultaneous streams. That premium
- 6:43Speaker 1: tier that's gonna cost you almost twenty three dollars now
- 6:48Speaker 1: and this morning, when does that number get to? Big
- 6:54Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I want you to pick your favorite streaming platform, whatever
- 7:00Speaker 1: one it is, doesn't matter to me. Yeah, I want
- 7:03Speaker 1: to know at what price point do you go? I
- 7:07Speaker 1: just can't do it, all right, I can't rewatch Game
- 7:10Speaker 1: of Thrones for the thirteenth time.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You know what's so funny, Gabe, is that you posted
- 7:15Speaker 2: this to the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page
- 7:18Speaker 2: yesterday also asking, and last night, right before I went
- 7:23Speaker 2: to bed, I checked my email just because you know,
- 7:27Speaker 2: I don't want to ever fall asleep. Yeah, I don't
- 7:30Speaker 2: want to fall asleep, calmly, I want to stress myself out.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So I checked my email and I got this. Do
- 7:37Speaker 2: you remember thank you for being part of the Disney
- 7:40Speaker 2: Plus community. We're so glad you've enjoyed everything we have
- 7:44Speaker 2: to offer. Blah blah, blah, blah blah.
- 7:47Speaker 1: We're raising prices.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it is now increasing to eighteen ninety nine per
- 7:52Speaker 2: month on November nineteenth.
- 7:56Speaker 3: What why?
- 7:57Speaker 2: I think that might be my number, Gabe? Really, I
- 8:00Speaker 2: think I'm gonna enjoy the rest of the Halloween programming
- 8:04Speaker 2: on Disney Plus.
- 8:05Speaker 3: What are you gonna do with missing all the Christmas stuff?
- 8:07Speaker 2: I have Hallmark Channel? Oh my gosh, I subscribe to
- 8:10Speaker 2: the Hallmark Channel like streaming.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Certain Yeah, the number for that for me would be
- 8:16Speaker 1: two dollars. It's five ninety now, hey, yeah, Buck, I
- 8:19Speaker 1: could handle up Buck if I start paying you two though,
- 8:22Speaker 1: seven oh one, two eight zero one nine eighty seven
- 8:25Speaker 1: your favorite streaming platform, and what number would be too
- 8:28Speaker 1: much that you would be willing to pay. So for me,
- 8:32Speaker 1: it's kind of difficult because we have a bunch of
- 8:34Speaker 1: them like lumped together.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Oh bundles.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Hulu, Disney Plus, and ESPN I think are all
- 8:40Speaker 1: one thing for us. So that number is a little
- 8:43Speaker 1: bit different for me because there's three things attached to it,
- 8:46Speaker 1: So I justify it a different way. But I use
- 8:50Speaker 1: Fubo TV right to watch Vikings games and wild games
- 8:55Speaker 1: and Minnesota Timberwolves games, and there's regular channels on there too.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I very rarely just chilling watching cable, you know. It
- 9:02Speaker 1: just doesn't happen that way at my house. And I
- 9:05Speaker 1: can't remember the exact number, but I'm pretty sure it's
- 9:08Speaker 1: about eighty five dollars. It's kind of like, well, it's
- 9:11Speaker 1: kind of like a mid tier package because when we
- 9:14Speaker 1: had regular cable, yeah, not regular cable, but just some
- 9:19Speaker 1: regular TV thing that was upwards of like one hundred
- 9:21Speaker 1: and twenty dollars.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Well that was the thing if that cable and satellite
- 9:25Speaker 2: got to be too expensive, so then they were like
- 9:28Speaker 2: just join this streaming platform. But now there's a bajillion
- 9:33Speaker 2: streaming platforms and they all cost a lot. You know what,
- 9:36Speaker 2: I should do the math on how much I'm actually
- 9:38Speaker 2: spending month on these?
- 9:40Speaker 1: Well, I think for me, if that if Fubo ever
- 9:42Speaker 1: got to be the price of what I was paying before, yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 1: then i'd probably be that would be the number for me.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I think it was about all one hundred. I think
- 9:52Speaker 1: it was one hundred and twenty ish dollars. We have
- 9:55Speaker 1: some room there, yeah, they got some wiggle room. But
- 9:58Speaker 1: if Hulu ever got to maybe realistically fifty dollars, I'd
- 10:05Speaker 1: probably be done. I can talk myself into a dollar
- 10:08Speaker 1: a day, you know, like coals, I could do that.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I could even talk myself into I haven't done the math,
- 10:15Speaker 1: but like a dollar and thirty cents a day to
- 10:18Speaker 1: get to fifty once you start paying two bucks a
- 10:21Speaker 1: day for a streaming platform, that is tough for me
- 10:24Speaker 1: to justify. It would be fifty dollars. Long story, fifty
- 10:28Speaker 1: dollars for what's the one I probably use Hulu, the Molu.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Fifty dollars for Hulu for me, apparently it's eighteen ninety
- 10:37Speaker 2: nine for Disney.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Plus, yesterday we talked about this men diagram that was
- 10:48Speaker 1: going viral on TikTok. It's basically a Venn diagram, the
- 10:52Speaker 1: ones you remember from elementary school, only this one was
- 10:55Speaker 1: about dudes. And there's a good chance they can only
- 10:59Speaker 1: have two out of these three things. If they have
- 11:01Speaker 1: too many, it might be a red flag.
- 11:03Speaker 3: All right.
- 11:04Speaker 1: They can only be either a good looking, be nice,
- 11:09Speaker 1: or c smart. All right, they can have two out
- 11:12Speaker 1: of those three. Yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 2: So if the three circles, if you're at the intersection
- 11:18Speaker 2: of all three hot, smart, and nice, then that's no.
- 11:22Speaker 2: He's too good to be true. He was written in
- 11:24Speaker 2: a book. He's not real.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's something you saw on a Disney movie. Okay, exactly.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So we are making a little callback to this. We
- 11:30Speaker 1: didn't get to it, and I wanted to finish this
- 11:33Speaker 1: with these hilarious comments on our Facebook page.
- 11:36Speaker 3: And my wife did respond. I know. We had asked
- 11:38Speaker 3: Corey to respond to us yesterday.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Oh yes, I want you to know what does she
- 11:42Speaker 2: consider you?
- 11:42Speaker 3: She did.
- 11:43Speaker 1: She considered me hot and nice. So basically, the two
- 11:47Speaker 1: women I hang out with more than anybody on earth
- 11:51Speaker 1: think I am a blabbering idiot. All right, they're basically
- 11:54Speaker 1: call me a bumbling buffoo.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Okay, but you're so cute.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 12:00Speaker 1: All right, these answers were great and in roundabout ways,
- 12:03Speaker 1: makes so much sense. All Right, Kelly, she said, if
- 12:07Speaker 1: she could only pick two out of the three for
- 12:09Speaker 1: her man, she would want her man to be hot
- 12:13Speaker 1: and smart. There's a caveat, though, obviously smart enough to
- 12:17Speaker 1: be nice. So she's she's kind of bobbing and we yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 1: And then Linda said, smart and nice. That's what she
- 12:26Speaker 1: would want her partner to be, smart and nice. You
- 12:29Speaker 1: can always help him with his looks. That's right, you can,
- 12:31Speaker 1: you know what, you dress up that fella however you want.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You can get him or suggest the clothes he needs
- 12:37Speaker 1: he's gotta get. You can't always put lipstick on a pig,
- 12:40Speaker 1: but damn it, you can try.
- 12:41Speaker 2: You can put a beard on a man, you know.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And then finally, Erica Michelle, this was a very sweet answer.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Smart and nice that would make them hot. Caveat.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I like that ladies are getting smart. They're sneaking in
- 12:59Speaker 1: ways for dudes to get better and better looking.
- 13:01Speaker 2: But I think this just does prove that for women
- 13:05Speaker 2: it's like your personality. It's what's on the inside that counts,
- 13:09Speaker 2: and then it will magically make you look hotter. We
- 13:12Speaker 2: that's our how our.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Brains work, well, fellas, If that's what you need to
- 13:17Speaker 1: continue on with your struggles today, you do it all right.
- 13:24Speaker 2: In a world of rules and great areas, one radio
- 13:27Speaker 2: station dares to ask the hard questions. Is it legal
- 13:31Speaker 2: to run through a red light if it appears to
- 13:34Speaker 2: be broken or malfunctioning?
- 13:37Speaker 1: It's a great question, have you if you've been to
- 13:41Speaker 1: a red light and it appears to have been staying
- 13:43Speaker 1: red for a lot longer than what you would typically
- 13:48Speaker 1: guess necessary.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Like you see a light cycle go like the other
- 13:52Speaker 2: light on the other side goes green, yellow, red, and
- 13:56Speaker 2: still yours.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Doesn't turn, and you're just thinking, oh, well, this thing's
- 13:59Speaker 1: broken or it's malfunctioning or whatever. Apparently, if a traffic
- 14:04Speaker 1: light is broken and just stuck on red here in
- 14:07Speaker 1: North Dakota, you still cannot go through it. You can
- 14:11Speaker 1: literally you could sit there until your car runs out
- 14:14Speaker 1: of gas. And if you finally say forget it and
- 14:17Speaker 1: go boom instant ticket, that's exactly when the cop jumps
- 14:21Speaker 1: out from the bushes.
- 14:21Speaker 3: And tracks you down.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Now listen, if I'm sitting there for five minutes, there's
- 14:26Speaker 1: no cars around, you know, maybe it's four forty five
- 14:30Speaker 1: in the morning, there's no cops, not even a squirrel crossing.
- 14:35Speaker 1: That's not running a red light my opinion, that's just survival.
- 14:38Speaker 1: That's right, all right, But apparently the law says you
- 14:40Speaker 1: were supposed to treat it like a stop sign, as
- 14:45Speaker 1: in stop, don't move, don't stop, and then continue ongoing,
- 14:49Speaker 1: which is kind of weird because if a traffic light
- 14:52Speaker 1: is broken or it's malfunctioning and it's blinking, yeah, you know,
- 14:55Speaker 1: you can drive up and then everyone takes their turn
- 14:57Speaker 1: and then they go. Because if it's blinking like fine,
- 15:02Speaker 1: if it's dark, okay, but if it's stuck on red,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I almost feel like I'm being held hostage, you know
- 15:08Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Moral of the story, If a light
- 15:11Speaker 1: appears to be broken, the law isn't right, So just stop,
- 15:16Speaker 1: look both ways, and wave to the officer who is
- 15:19Speaker 1: totally about to pull you over for running a red light.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Have you ever been on a walk or doing something
- 15:28Speaker 1: just fun out in the wild and found something either
- 15:32Speaker 1: really cool or really creepy? Seven oh one two eight
- 15:35Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. I don't even know if
- 15:37Speaker 1: I've ever told you this story, Angie, but I was
- 15:39Speaker 1: on a walk once with Winona when I spotted this
- 15:43Speaker 1: old like half bery jar sticking out of the dirt,
- 15:47Speaker 1: and of course curiosity won.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Well, yeah, we might as well call you George.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Yep, I dug that thing right up, and inside there
- 15:54Speaker 1: were a bunch of these little handwritten notes. They all
- 15:57Speaker 1: looked like they were from the nineties, and every single
- 16:00Speaker 1: one started with if you're reading this, and then ended
- 16:04Speaker 1: with something different like is it still there, don't proceed,
- 16:08Speaker 1: don't continue forward ew I thought it was super cool. Now,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I did put the jar right back where I found it, right,
- 16:15Speaker 1: but I because it was in October. That's I don't
- 16:19Speaker 1: know what it is about October, but that's when I
- 16:21Speaker 1: turned into a little hiking gabe. Oh okay, and I
- 16:24Speaker 1: just love going out with the dog and visiting state
- 16:27Speaker 1: parks and what have you. So I think it might
- 16:29Speaker 1: have been one of the greatest Halloween pranks of all time. Yeah,
- 16:32Speaker 1: but at the time it was a little bit creepy.
- 16:34Speaker 1: But yeah, no, I left the jar there because I've
- 16:37Speaker 1: seen a horror movie before.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Right, I found I've found a mannequin head that would
- 16:41Speaker 2: trip out. Yeah, well for me and my sister. We
- 16:46Speaker 2: took her home. We named her Catherine. We tatted up
- 16:50Speaker 2: her face and chopped up her hair and said that
- 16:53Speaker 2: that was our daughter. We lived different childhoods. I think
- 16:57Speaker 2: you and I, Gabe.
- 17:00Speaker 1: That's the most insane thing I've ever heard. You tell me.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I was an hinged little girl.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I don't know clearly, Terran, can you beat that?
- 17:10Speaker 5: I was hucking with my buddies and I found a
- 17:12Speaker 5: polaroid wedged between some rocks, and it was this couple
- 17:15Speaker 5: from the eighties with the big hair and jean jackets
- 17:18Speaker 5: and holding a puppy. And I kept it and it's
- 17:20Speaker 5: rained in my living room. I call them mom and Dad.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I love that.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Okay, see, I'm not creepy. She took the thing home
- 17:28Speaker 2: and framed it.
- 17:30Speaker 3: A fair point, Josea, what about you?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I once found a straight puppy.
- 17:34Speaker 2: We checked and he didn't seem to belong to anyone.
- 17:37Speaker 1: So we had him with us for fifteen years and
- 17:40Speaker 1: he was such an amazing dog.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Oh that's a swee.
- 17:42Speaker 1: That's a sweet thing.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 17:47Speaker 1: What's the coolest, strangest, maybe most unique thing you've ever
- 17:52Speaker 1: randomly found out in the wild. Just found something cool,
- 17:58Speaker 1: maybe maybe a bit creepy strange out in the wild
- 18:02Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 18:06Speaker 2: My sister and I were just walking along once and
- 18:09Speaker 2: we found a mannequin head I don't like that. We
- 18:12Speaker 2: took her home. We named her Catherine. We tatted up
- 18:14Speaker 2: her face and called her our daughter. We grew up
- 18:19Speaker 2: poor Gabe, Okay, we had to come up with weird
- 18:21Speaker 2: things to keep ourselves entertained.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Hannah, what about you?
- 18:25Speaker 4: Well, when I was a kid, I grew up in
- 18:27Speaker 4: Oregon and I would write my horks all around And
- 18:32Speaker 4: one time I wandered into an illegal marijuana grow.
- 18:36Speaker 3: And you had the best day ever.
- 18:37Speaker 4: No, And then the other time I went way in
- 18:43Speaker 4: the middle of nowhere and I came across a mood
- 18:46Speaker 4: shigne still thing in the middle of the woods.
- 18:49Speaker 2: I feel like, are you the luckiest person in the world?
- 18:55Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 18:55Speaker 4: I am, because I didn't end up dead. I mean, gosh,
- 18:58Speaker 4: oh well there, yeah.
- 18:59Speaker 1: There's'll go out, you know, maybe hoping to find Bigfoot
- 19:03Speaker 1: or something. You're just finding ways to really enjoy a Saturday.
- 19:14Speaker 1: It was a normal afternoon in East Bethel, Minnesota, which
- 19:18Speaker 1: turned chaotic when Carrie Thorpe noticed smoke and flames coming
- 19:23Speaker 1: from the underneath of a school bus as it pulled
- 19:27Speaker 1: up to her home to drop off her daughter. She
- 19:29Speaker 1: immediately ran towards the bus to alert the driver Rick.
- 19:33Speaker 1: These students on the bus started crying and panicking as
- 19:36Speaker 1: the situation unfolded, and Carrie and Rick worked together to
- 19:41Speaker 1: evacuate all twenty two students from the East Bethel Elementary School.
- 19:46Speaker 1: They gathered safely on her front porch as the bus
- 19:49Speaker 1: became fully engulfed in flames within just a few minutes,
- 19:53Speaker 1: so in a matter of moments, this entire bus is
- 19:57Speaker 1: basically just a driving ball.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 20:01Speaker 1: The mom describes as hearing those tires explode and the
- 20:05Speaker 1: fire spreading as just being incredibly terrifying.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Now the bus was completely destroyed.
- 20:11Speaker 1: There were some backpacks and lunch boxes, But the great
- 20:14Speaker 1: news is no one was hurt, no parent or any
- 20:18Speaker 1: of the children. Parents In school officials, they praised Carrie
- 20:22Speaker 1: and Rick for their quick actions and bravery, as they've
- 20:25Speaker 1: been recognized as heroes for keeping the children safe during
- 20:29Speaker 1: the emergency, that would be a Nightmary.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I mean, anytime that it's something to do with kids,
- 20:35Speaker 2: I'm always like oh, because like I cannot. I do
- 20:38Speaker 2: not want anything obviously bad to happen to anyone, But
- 20:40Speaker 2: when it's kids, it just hits my heart so hard.
- 20:43Speaker 2: And such quick thinking from this mom who saw smoke
- 20:47Speaker 2: and was like, oh, where there's smoke, there's fire literally,
- 20:50Speaker 2: and then everybody got to safety. Oh my gosh, thank God.
- 20:53Speaker 2: That's a great story.
- 20:55Speaker 1: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 20:58Speaker 1: find one, you gotta be one.
