  Come on, we've all heard things like this, but is it really a devil messing with you?

  We're going to get right into it. You know, we've only got a few minutes in

  these hacks, so let's get going.

  The first thing you need to know is that if the enemy doesn't need to destroy

  you, he will just distract you. Now, he wants to destroy you,

  but sometimes he just sucks the life out of you slowly by distractions or toxic

  people or something that's not good.

  Now, I'm going to tell you in this broadcast what might be messing with you,

  if it's a devil or not, and how you can get rid of it.

  So did you know that we're living in one of the most distracted generations in human history?

  Did you know that the average adult actually spends two to three hours a day on social media?

  Come on, teenagers, spend four to five hours. That's about 1,000 hours a year, 40 full days a year.

  Over in a lifetime, years gone. Now, I know you're already thinking,

  come on now, you're not gonna lecture me on social media.

  No, I'm not, but what I'm trying to tell you is that there's a plan, there's a destiny.

  There's something you're supposed to do, and God said before you were even put

  in the womb that he knew you.

  He also told Jeremiah before he put him in the womb that he made him to be a prophet.

  You know what that means? That means you're not supposed to hunt for your destiny.

  That means you're actually supposed to walk in the destiny that God gave you.

  But along your path, there's a lot of distractions.

  And sometimes people think that the devil's messing with them,

  but really you've opened up something and you've allowed that sucker to come in.

  So let's see what that looks like today.

  So most of what we consume is not neutral. It's engineered to keep you emotionally

  triggered. You know what an emotionally triggered person does?

  They jump at this, they jump at that, they're mad at this, they're mad at that.

  And I get it. I've done it too, where you get picked off online and you say

  something, but do you understand you're literally sucking years of your life?

  I want you to think about it like this.

  You are like a car filled with gas, full of potential, ready to go on a great journey.

  But as you're driving, you stop here, You stop there. You turn around here.

  You do a U-turn. You stop. You keep stopping. You turn around.

  And before you know it, you're out of gas, and you did not get to your destination.

  And that's exactly how it is with God, with the Holy Spirit,

  with this world, and with the devil.

  You see, the devil is an idiot, but he does know that you have a journey and a purpose.

  And if he can hinder you, if he can stop you, if he can make you struggle,

  if he can cause someone in your life to mess with you, before you know it,

  you don't even get to where you're going.

  So while we're crying out demons and devil portals, I'm not saying some of that

  stuff isn't real, but in my experience in preaching, and I've been preaching

  for a while now, it really is most of the time, I know you don't wanna hear

  this, but do you wanna change? Do you wanna have something good happen to you?

  Most of the time, it's something you're doing. And today we're gonna examine
• 3:26
  our own life and see if maybe, just maybe, it's not just the devil.

  Maybe we've opened the door to something and we're gonna shut that door right on his face.

  All right. So point one, distraction is a strategy from the devil.

  First Peter 5.8, be sober, be vigilant, your adversary. Do you know you got an enemy?

  Yeah, you do. His name is Satan. The devil walks about like a roaring lion,

  seeking whom he may devour.

  Listen, what do you got to know about this? He is seeking, he is looking,

  he is scanning. Hey, did they not know? Hey, what are they doing?

  Hey, maybe they don't know. And the Bible says that he's looking for someone

  to devour. Come on, say, you ain't devouring me, devil.

  I don't know who you think you are, but you're not coming over here.

  The devil has no authority over you.

  Now, before we talk about portals and devils and all the crap that he can do,

  first of all, you need to realize, according to the Bible, he doesn't have any power.

  Yes, he has power, but he does not have power over you.

  Jesus said, I give you all authority over all the power of the enemy. What's that mean?

  Well, if you've given all authority over all his power, he doesn't have any power left to use.

  Well, let's take a look and see if you've opened a door.

  Colossians 2.15. Having disarmed principalities and powers, he made a public

  The devil only operates through access, and access is given through gates.

  Shut that gate today and don't let him in. The Bible talks about gates.

  What are some gates that maybe you're opening to the devil? Or you could say portals.

  Well, there's your eye gate, your ear gate, your heart gate, and your mouth gate.

  Now, I sang a song earlier on my full broadcast. I probably won't get into it today, but.

  I don't know. The eye gate is connected to the ear gate. The ear gate is connected

  to the heart gate. The heart gate is connected to the mouth gate.

  And in walks the devil on you.

  You've got to guard these things. Come on, you've got to guard your eyes,

  your ears, your heart. It is an open doorway to the devil.

  So it might not be that you've opened a portal. It might not be some demonic

  thing that's just rushing in there.

  But maybe you've been listening to something and all of a sudden you've got extreme anxiety.

  You know, all over the internet, I got anxiety, and everyone was listening to

  the song, why you sing that?

  Don't sing that. Don't sing, I got anxiety. I'm full of fear.

  There's so many crappy songs out there, and they're like, I'm so sad.

  My life is over. And then you're like, I am so depressed, and I don't know why.

  You're depressed because you just opened a portal to the devil.

  So shut that thing. Shut your ears down. Shut your eyes down.

  Don't watch or listen to things that are actually thoughts from devils.

  Psalm 101.3, I will set nothing wicked before my eyes. Come on.

  Now, you can go to 10 million therapy sessions. You can listen to the other

  the devil and the demons and the this and the that.

  And you can listen to someone say, I'm gonna cast that devil out of you till

  the flipping cows come home.

  You can listen to that all day, every day. And you know what's gonna happen

  at the end of all those days? You're gonna be the exact same.

  Because it's not the devil's authority. It's not his power.

  It's not that he's got it out for you and not someone else. It's that you are

  constantly perhaps opening a door that you need to shut.

  What's the next thing you can do? Guard your ears. Proverbs 4.20,

  incline your ear, keep them in your heart with all diligence.

  What you listen to becomes what you believe.

  Constant negativity reshapes your faith.

  Come on, you're always negative. Nothing good happens for me. I can't do anything.

  I wish I, do you understand when you open your mouth, the Bible says life and

  death is in the power of your tongue.

  So when you open your mouth, believe it or not, my friend, that's a portal to

  the devil. That's an open door to the devil.

  He's coming in. He's coming to mess with you. He's coming to harm you.

  He's coming to do something to you that you just don't want done.

  I'm telling you right now, you don't want it done. So you need to watch out

  and you need to make sure that you are putting things only inside,

  only inside that are good, not that are bad.

  All right. You got to open up your heart and just let God things come in,

  Deception is subtle. All right. That's another thing. The Bible says he's one

  watch social media these days. There's so much garbage.

  But you think it is? There are so many things in the news where they just release

  like one piece of it, one thing of it, and it's a total lie.

  And you get all worked up about it, and then you're like, crap.

  I'll give you, for example, the other day, my husband and I were out,

  and we thought that someone was kind of like scoping us out or whatever.

  And guess what? They weren't.

  They had nothing to do with anything. And I thought it was one thing and it

  was another. And that's how it is with social media.

  Sometimes you think something is truth, but it's not.

  Not everything vile is righteous. Not everything that goes viral is righteous.

  And it drains your joy. It'll keep you arguing instead of advancing.

  Come on, it's not that everyone's out to get you. It's just that you're arguing

  and stuff, or maybe you're doing something with people online,

  and it's literally sucking the life out of you.

  These are hours and time that you could give to your family,

  to your friends, to yourself.

  Instead of arguing with someone online for two hours, just invest in yourself.

  Turn on a video about investing in money. Turn on a video about learning the Bible.

  Turn on a video about losing weight or health or anything, anything, anything but that.

  Come on, ask me how I know. I've spent a lot of time arguing with people that

  I should not have spent two seconds with. All right.

  Do not open the door to the devil. Guard it like it matters.

  Don't open your phone before you open the Bible. That's one thing you could do.

  Don't open your phone before you spend some time in some good word. It's not that hard.

  Joshua 1.8 says, This book of the law won't depart from your mouth.

  You'll make your way prosperous.

  Come on, you're supposed to make your way prosperous by opening up your mouth

  and speaking the word of God. You got to get the word in.

  You've got to meditate on it, and then the Bible says you'll have prosperity and success.

  You see, there are so many people out there, and they're like, you must have a devil.

  You've got a devil. You've got a devil. But at the end of the day,

  you really don't have a devil. You've just opened a door.

  And now that anxiety is in there. That fear is in there. And here's the major God hack for you today.

  The God hack for today is that you don't need to listen to everything that comes

  online. You shouldn't watch everything that comes on TV.

  Because whether you know it or not, that stuff is coming outside to inside.

  Once it's inside, it's hard to get it out.

  So you're sitting there thinking, man, I'm just every day, you know, I just have this fear.

  And then sure enough, you've been watching some show about killings or murdering

  or whatever, and you're literally feasting on the devil's meals.

  I know you don't realize this, but the devil is very sneaky,

  baby. He's not just going to show up and say, here I am.

  It's me, the devil. I got this thought of death and I want to give it to you.

  It doesn't work like that. He hides it in a movie you like.

  He stuffs it in a song you listen to all the time.

  And then once you've opened that door, now it's all up in you.

  And you're like, what is the matter with me? And what you didn't realize is

  Satan was knocking right at the door.

  And you opened it up and you let that idiot in.

  So at the end of the day, it's up to you. You have to make sure that you don't let the devil in.

  You've got to close every door to the enemy. And it's really not hard.

  Open your heart to the word.

  Study the word. Open the Bible. Be happy. Don't complain. Be filled with joy.

  And then don't listen to things that are bad. The Bible says,

  think on these things that are good, lovely, and a good report.

  Come on, you don't need to meditate on the news. You don't need to get mad at

  ICE. You can't do anything about it anyway. You don't need to get mad at who's

  the president and who isn't.

  You need to have peace in your life. And the only way to have peace in your

  life is to keep the one inside of you, who is peace, and that is Jesus.

  And today he wants to come and bring you peace, bring you restoration,

  bring you strength, bring you love, bring you hope, bring you joy.

  and the Lord of Lords, and He's waiting on you to shut the door.
