Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Well, the blockade is genius. Okay, the blockade has been
- 0:05Speaker 1: one hundred percent full of proof. It shows how good
- 0:07Speaker 1: our navy is. I can tell you that nobody's going
- 0:09Speaker 1: to play games. How they have to cry uncle. That's
- 0:12Speaker 1: all they have to do is just say we give up,
- 0:16Speaker 1: we give up. That their economy is really in trouble.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It's a it's a dead economy.
- 0:22Speaker 2: So from the Oval Office yesterday, Iranian leaders really have
- 0:25Speaker 2: to make a decision. And the Presence very right about
- 0:27Speaker 2: the economic matters inside of Iran. Right now, just look
- 0:31Speaker 2: at the cost for Iran so far for this war
- 0:34Speaker 2: through the Strait of Horror moves. During peacetime, more than
- 0:39Speaker 2: eighty percent of all their commerce, including their oil and
- 0:42Speaker 2: their food and their water, went through the Strait of
- 0:44Speaker 2: hor moves. Seaborn trade. Ninety percent of it's now been halted,
- 0:48Speaker 2: all right. Daily economic loss is almost four hundred and
- 0:52Speaker 2: fifty million a day. In addition, you got inflation up
- 0:56Speaker 2: sixty seven percent year over year, and the US dollar
- 1:00Speaker 2: is just crushing the Iranian currency. At the moment you
- 1:04Speaker 2: talk about the blockade and the reason why it's working,
- 1:06Speaker 2: We're just going to give you a little example here right.
- 1:08Speaker 2: This is the line that connects Oman or the Gulf
- 1:10Speaker 2: of Oman. This is the border between Iran and Pakistan. Okay,
- 1:15Speaker 2: this cha Bha and jask. All right, Remember what the
- 1:18Speaker 2: US Navy said, if you're a sea born vessel, you
- 1:21Speaker 2: cannot go into an Iranian port. If you do, you're
- 1:24Speaker 2: going to be met with this blockade. And there is
- 1:26Speaker 2: evidence right here as to how that's happening. Okay, here
- 1:30Speaker 2: is that bay I mentioned a moment ago. These are
- 1:32Speaker 2: twenty vessels right now, in real time as we speak,
- 1:36Speaker 2: that are stuck and stranded because they went into this
- 1:40Speaker 2: Iranian port. Therefore, you go back to the map on
- 1:44Speaker 2: the blockade. They're sitting right off here, off the coast
- 1:47Speaker 2: of Iran, and they cannot go anywhere because the US
- 1:50Speaker 2: Navy is there to prevent them. So what is the
- 1:53Speaker 2: Iranian government doing? There was a terrific piece in the
- 1:56Speaker 2: Wall Street Journal a day and a half ago. I
- 1:58Speaker 2: highly encourage you read it right. It gives you great
- 2:01Speaker 2: insight into how the government's trying to get food into
- 2:03Speaker 2: the country, get more supplies in the country, and they're
- 2:06Speaker 2: going to places by road and by rail and Turkey
- 2:11Speaker 2: in Armenia and Azerbaijan also ships vessels in the Caspian Sea.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Right also here in Pakistan, it was announced this week
- 2:20Speaker 2: that they've opened up six different routes, two by sea
- 2:24Speaker 2: and four by land, either by road or by rail
- 2:28Speaker 2: to take goods into Iran. And that's what the leadership
- 2:30Speaker 2: right now is trying to do to try and get
- 2:34Speaker 2: around this economic stranglehold that Iran finds itself in. Now, Lucas,
- 2:40Speaker 2: Tomlinson's been watching that from the beginning. He's back in
- 2:42Speaker 2: Dubai to take us through it. And you don't know
- 2:45Speaker 2: what's going to give here, Lucas, you know whether or
- 2:47Speaker 2: not the Iranian strength holds on or whether the US
- 2:51Speaker 2: grip on that country ultimately succeeds.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Hello there, that's right, Good morning, Bill. President Trump says
- 2:59Speaker 3: the blockade is been a success for the reasons you
- 3:01Speaker 3: just gave. Others say this war is ground to a stalemate.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Despite the twenty two day ceasefire, talks have stalled, the
- 3:07Speaker 3: straight of woe moves remains effectively closed. Now, we just
- 3:10Speaker 3: heard from Iran's new Supreme leader in Mushtabahamani posting on
- 3:14Speaker 3: x perhaps somebody else for him, writing quote the US's
- 3:17Speaker 3: presence and establishment. The Persian Golf is the main source
- 3:20Speaker 3: of instability in the region. Now, the Amoradi's here with
- 3:23Speaker 3: like a word bill after being on the receiving end
- 3:25Speaker 3: of twenty eight hundred drones and missiles, twice the number
- 3:28Speaker 3: fired at any other country, including Israel, the UAE announcing
- 3:31Speaker 3: plans this week to leave Opek and pursue free markets
- 3:34Speaker 3: and strengthening ties with both the US and Israel. Now
- 3:37Speaker 3: today there's about one hundred and fifty oil tankers stuck
- 3:39Speaker 3: at anchor in the Persian Gulf. Supreme Leader's message the
- 3:42Speaker 3: first we have heard from him in about two weeks,
- 3:44Speaker 3: about as long as the US Navy's blockade of Iran imports.
- 3:46Speaker 3: In what Iran is calling Persian Gulf National Day today,
- 3:49Speaker 3: the Arabs and Sentcam call it the Arabian Golf. The
- 3:52Speaker 3: shutdown of the Straight of horm Moves has caused the
- 3:54Speaker 3: largest oil supply shock in history. According to the Wall
- 3:56Speaker 3: Street Journal, gasoline prices have risen about forty percent in
- 3:59Speaker 3: the US since the war began two months ago. Top
- 4:01Speaker 3: Trump officials called a worthy sacrifice for preventing Iran from
- 4:04Speaker 3: obtaining a nuclear weapon. For President Trump called off talks
- 4:08Speaker 3: in Pakistan last weekend talks between the US and Iran
- 4:10Speaker 3: installed Trump wents Iran to pick up the phone. US
- 4:13Speaker 3: officials say the blockade will bring Iran to its knees
- 4:16Speaker 3: because of the economic destruction you just mentioned inside the
- 4:19Speaker 3: country on the heels of those thirteen thousand American air strikes.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Critics say Iran has a higher pain tolerance in the US,
- 4:25Speaker 3: and Iran thinks it's the US economy that will feel
- 4:27Speaker 3: the pressure because of the higher gas prices, fertilizer and
- 4:30Speaker 3: other commodities. Now, Pakistan, another country, says its broken that
- 4:35Speaker 3: has broken the US Iranian talks, recently announced it has
- 4:37Speaker 3: designated six corridors, ports and land borders to allow Irani
- 4:40Speaker 3: and goods to pass through its country without restriction. And
- 4:43Speaker 3: we're just getting ready to hear from War Secretary Pete
- 4:45Speaker 3: Hegseth and Sharman of a joint you stabbed General Dan
- 4:47Speaker 3: Kane returning to Capito Hill this time to face the
- 4:49Speaker 3: Senate panel. Expect it to be pretty noisy in there, Bill.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Okay, good stuff, Lucas well done in Dubai, Lucas, Tomlin's
- 4:55Speaker 2: in on all of that. Thank you be sure to
