- 0:24Well, hey guys, and welcome to, yes, Inspirations
- 0:28for Your Life.
- 0:29I would say it's Happy Friday, but actually
- 0:32it's not Happy Friday.
- 0:34For those of you that know, I'm religious
- 0:36and I celebrate, well, I commemorate Good Friday,
- 0:40the death of our Lord.
- 0:43Again, I don't make the show really religious,
- 0:45but it isn't a happy Friday, so it
- 0:47is a good Friday.
- 0:48I would say, again, for us, Easter Sunday
- 0:50is coming up.
- 0:51For those of you celebrating Passover, Happy Passover
- 0:53for you, and yeah, it's great to be

- 1:19Guys, in just about two weeks from today,
- 1:24if you're watching the show live on April
- 1:263rd, I'm going to be officially become an
- 1:29author.
- 1:30My motivational book has been through all the
- 1:33processes, the publishing, verification and stuff like that,
- 1:38so really excited about that.
- 1:39I'll talk more about the book later on
- 1:42as that's coming up.
- 1:43Incidentally, you'll be able to get more information
- 1:45once that releases on BelieveMeAchieved.com if you
- 1:48want to check that out.
- 1:49You obviously can.
- 1:50It is great to be with all of
- 1:52you here on the show.
- 1:55Let's dig right in, but before I do,
- 1:57if you're thirsty, you're hungry or what have
- 1:58you, feel free to go grab something and
- 2:00come on back to the show.
- 2:03All right, guys, so welcome everyone to, yes,
- 2:06Inspirations for Your Life.
- 2:08I'm John C.
- 2:10Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 2:13podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student, and
- 2:16a passionate lifelong learner.
- 2:18And yes, pretty soon, in less than, it's
- 2:21actually two weeks, not the 10th, but the
- 2:2317th, I made the dedication and the book
- 2:26goes live.
- 2:28It'll be available in Kindle version, it'll be
- 2:30available in a hardcover book, it's a six
- 2:34by nine, as well as on that date
- 2:36or shortly after the audio version will be
- 2:40available.
- 2:41All right, guys, so real excited about that.
- 2:43So on this episode today of Inspirations for
- 2:45Your Life, I'm focusing on building real momentum,
- 2:51turning small intentional actions into consistent progress, sharpening
- 2:56focus and creating unstoppable forward motion.
- 2:59I think that's something a lot of people,
- 3:02I don't know, I think they just kind
- 3:03of get stuck in the doldrums about that.
- 3:05Every step you take, guys, it matters, and
- 3:07momentum compounds when you act deliberately.
- 3:11So today's show is entitled Build Real Momentum,
- 3:17series five, show 14, episode number seven.
- 3:21Now if you're wondering what the master topic
- 3:24is for this week, and we're kind of
- 3:26closing it out today, it's a really good
- 3:28one.
- 3:28They're always good ones, so I can't say
- 3:29they're ever bad.
- 3:30But the master topic is owning your focus,
- 3:34and we hone in on clarity, courage, and
- 3:36momentum.
- 3:37Sharpening your perception, acting decisively, and maintaining momentum
- 3:40through intentional choices.
- 3:43Number one, guys, momentum changes everything.
- 3:48Small consistent steps transform results, okay, in life
- 3:55and work.
- 3:57Number two, progress builds power.
- 4:00Each action strengthens confidence, skills, and influence.
- 4:04So be mindful of that, and be aware
- 4:06of what's going on on the road, because
- 4:08I think a lot of people don't realize
- 4:10the true intentionalism that they actually have, all
- 4:14right?
- 4:14Number three, guys, keep moving forward.
- 4:17Avoid analysis paralysis.
- 4:19I know so many people that get stuck
- 4:20in that phase, and then it's like, oh
- 4:21my gosh, what do I do, because I'm
- 4:23stuck in analyzing everything, right?
- 4:24Some people call that OCD, obsessive compulsive disorder.
- 4:28I remember when I was younger, and there
- 4:31was a telephone cord, you know how we
- 4:32have the telephone cord on the phone?
- 4:34Well, I remember that we had one of
- 4:37these princess, they called it a slimline princess,
- 4:41and we had them at home, they were,
- 4:44I think we had them in like an
- 4:45ivory, it was like a, actually it was
- 4:48like, they called it ivory, it was a
- 4:49beige color.
- 4:50And so they were touchstone, they had lights
- 4:55on them, some were, the princess either had
- 4:58green lights, or they had white lights, they
- 5:00were either the little small round buttons, or
- 5:02they had the big green button, which I
- 5:03prefer the big green buttons.
- 5:04But the princess traditionally had the small round
- 5:07buttons, to be a little more elegant, I
- 5:09don't know.
- 5:10It had the ringer switch on the side.
- 5:12And so there was a cord, and that
- 5:16cord, when you put it back, somehow, if
- 5:19you did not properly put the phone back
- 5:21at the time, it started getting into this
- 5:23twist, and that used to drive me insane.
- 5:25So what I do, well, for many years,
- 5:27I kept unplugging the thing, letting it untwist.
- 5:29I bought one of these untwisters.
- 5:32And then, you know, now if the cord's
- 5:34there, it's not a big deal, if it's
- 5:36bad, I'll just gotta take the phone off
- 5:37the hook and I'll fix it.
- 5:38But I don't spend a long time trying
- 5:40to make sure the cord is right anymore.
- 5:42So I got out of that analysis paralysis
- 5:45mode.
- 5:46Number four, guys, small wins matter.
- 5:50Micro achievements compound into long-term success.
- 5:54So it's not about making a big step.
- 5:58It's about taking a step that you can
- 6:01understand and that can empower your life.
- 6:03I think that's really where, you know, the
- 6:04bottom line comes from, is those small steps
- 6:08turn us into success.
- 6:09Number five, guys, momentum builds confidence.
- 6:12Action reinforces self-belief.
- 6:14So when you take an action, you get
- 6:16that natural high feeling, right, the euphoria feeling
- 6:19from the dopamine releasing in our brain, that's
- 6:22what gets us to go into that positive
- 6:24loop of reinforcement.
- 6:26You want to keep doing it.
- 6:27It feels good.
- 6:28Number six, guys, progress compounds.
- 6:31Steady effort multiplies outcomes exponentially.
- 6:35So when we know that something's going to
- 6:38happen exponentially, we may not actually know the
- 6:40when, the how, and the where, but we
- 6:43know that it's going to happen.
- 6:44And because we know what's going to happen,
- 6:46it's like, all right, I get this.
- 6:48Now let's go ahead and move forward, all
- 6:50right?
- 6:51Number seven, guys, stay consistent.
- 6:54I know there are times when you want
- 6:55to dip off your plan and say, you
- 6:57know what?
- 6:57This isn't working, right?
- 7:00You have to realize that you're in it
- 7:01for the long game.
- 7:02You're not in it for the short game.
- 7:03You're not in it for short-term gratification.
- 7:05You're in it for long-term gratification.
- 7:06And sometimes that seems harder, but the payoff
- 7:09is a lot better.
- 7:11Stay consistent, guys.
- 7:12Number seven, daily action matters more than the
- 7:15occasional burst.
- 7:15I know people say, oh, I'm going to
- 7:16do a lot of work tomorrow.
- 7:18And then they stop working for like three
- 7:19or four days.
- 7:20And then they bush together.
- 7:21It's like, it doesn't work.
- 7:23It doesn't work.
- 7:24You've got to stay consistent.
- 7:26Any pipeline will tell you that.
- 7:28Number eight, momentum creates results.
- 7:30Persistent movement yields measurement achievement.
- 7:33Now, I've said that whatever we can measure,
- 7:36we can change.
- 7:37Now, if we can't change something, what happens
- 7:40is we get frustrated.
- 7:42So we have to figure out, how do
- 7:43we measure something?
- 7:44I think that's really the big concern.
- 7:46How do we measure something?
- 7:48If we know how we measure something, then
- 7:50we can change it, all right?
- 7:52Keep stacking the wins.
- 7:54Build success one deliberate victory at a time.
- 7:57I didn't say 100 at a time.
- 7:58I said build it one victory at a
- 8:00time.
- 8:01If you can do that, guys, your life
- 8:04will change.
- 8:06Your life will change.
- 8:08But I'm going to tell you something.
- 8:09It's not going to happen overnight.
- 8:12Not going to happen overnight.
- 8:13So if you want overnight, sorry.
- 8:15It's not happening overnight.
- 8:17Number 10, movement builds energy.
- 8:20Action generates motivation and clarity.
- 8:22I want to share a quick story.
- 8:24So many of you know that I am
- 8:26going to become a published author on April
- 8:3017.
- 8:30Depending on when you're watching this, if you're
- 8:32watching it live, or before the date, or
- 8:34after the date.
- 8:36And I have to tell you, I've always
- 8:39loved writing for many years, loved video producing,
- 8:41a lot of other things besides engineering.
- 8:43And I know that when I started writing,
- 8:45I was very hypercritical of myself.
- 8:47I had to just let things go, and
- 8:50then come back and edit them.
- 8:51I remember, done is better than perfect.
- 8:53And when I started out writing my book,
- 8:55it was about, I'm going to say it
- 8:57was about this concept where I was writing
- 9:01a book.
- 9:02And the book that I was writing, I
- 9:03was trying to force, but that book was
- 9:05not the proper book.
- 9:07I kept pushing it, trying to push it.
- 9:09I said, you know what, John?
- 9:11Let's stop writing the book.
- 9:12This is the book I want to write,
- 9:13but it's not the book I'm meant to
- 9:14write.
- 9:15So I dialed back.
- 9:17I put that, let's say, started outline and
- 9:21manuscript in the file, the digital file.
- 9:22And I said, I'm going to come back
- 9:23to it.
- 9:24Let's do this book now.
- 9:25And then the next book I'm going to
- 9:26do is AI, the truth of AI that
- 9:29the media doesn't tell you.
- 9:29And then I'm going to go back and
- 9:30rewrite this, start to write this other book.
- 9:33Because getting this book out, which is a
- 9:35biography of my life and talks about things
- 9:38that made a big trajectory change, I thought
- 9:41was a real important thing.
- 9:43And it really got me motivated to want
- 9:44to write more.
- 9:45Number 11, guys, progress fuels growth.
- 9:49It does.
- 9:49So forward motion enhances learning and skill.
- 9:55Everybody's like, OK, we're doing it.
- 9:56We're doing it.
- 9:57We're doing it.
- 9:57We're really doing it.
- 9:58Like, have you ever been on a bike
- 9:59before, right?
- 9:59And you learn how to ride a bike
- 10:01the first time.
- 10:01It's like, oh my gosh, I'm doing it.
- 10:03I'm doing it.
- 10:03I'm off training wheels.
- 10:04I'm actually doing it.
- 10:04I'm doing it.
- 10:05I'm actually riding the bike.
- 10:06Like, oh, I just crashed.
- 10:07Oh, I guess I'm not doing it.
- 10:09So what happened is the self-doubt kicked
- 10:11in.
- 10:12And then you started analyzing.
- 10:13And then, bam, your motor skills went to
- 10:16you know what.
- 10:16And then you fell off the bike.
- 10:18You lost your balance.
- 10:20Number 12, guys, momentum builds belief.
- 10:23Believeintheachieved.com.
- 10:25Taking action confirms your capability to achieve.
- 10:31Taking action confirms your ability to achieve.
- 10:37Number 13, keep going daily.
- 10:40Discipline bridges goals and tangible outcomes.
- 10:43When the world around you says, you know,
- 10:45it's not possible, I want to tell you
- 10:48it is possible.
- 10:50You have to have a little belief in
- 10:53yourself.
- 10:55You have to have a little belief in
- 10:57yourself.
- 10:58If you do just a little bit of
- 10:59belief, just a tiny bit, you'll find that
- 11:02that mustard seed will grow.
- 11:03What happens when we plant a seed for
- 11:06any type of fruit or vegetables?
- 11:09That tiny seed sprouts and grows.
- 11:14Right?
- 11:16So understand discipline bridges goals and tangible outcomes.
- 11:20So if they're easy, they're not just going
- 11:23to come.
- 11:23When things are a little challenging, that gets
- 11:25us to the success world.
- 11:28See, when things are uncomfortable, that's where success
- 11:30lives.
- 11:31Number 14, guys, progress builds strength.
- 11:34Consistent effort strengthens resilience.
- 11:38Notice the key here.
- 11:39I'm saying consistent effort.
- 11:41I'm not saying a burst of effort.
- 11:43I'm not saying everything all at once.
- 11:46Okay?
- 11:46I'm saying consistent effort over time strengthens resilience
- 11:52because it helps us with our belief.
- 11:55It helps with our endocrine system and releasing
- 11:59these endorphins that are getting us to have
- 12:04that positive natural high feeling from our body,
- 12:08which is amazing.
- 12:10All right?
- 12:10So progress builds strength.
- 12:12Consistent effort strengthens the resilience and makes us
- 12:15want to keep doing it more.
- 12:16So resilience, think of it like this.
- 12:19If you get knocked down, it's not how
- 12:21many times you get knocked down.
- 12:22It's how many times you pick yourself back
- 12:24up.
- 12:24So if you get knocked down four times
- 12:26and you get up four times, no problem.
- 12:28If you got knocked down four and you
- 12:29get up three, well, that means you're still
- 12:30down.
- 12:31Okay?
- 12:32So number 15, guys, momentum creates clarity.
- 12:35I've said this time and time again.
- 12:36Action reveals priorities and it sharpens the focus.
- 12:41And when we sharpen the focus, like we
- 12:43learned earlier in the week with the microscope
- 12:45and electron microscope, we're able to eliminate the
- 12:50noise, the distractions, and zero in on what
- 12:54we're looking at, the amoeba, the cell, the
- 12:57other bacterium, et cetera.
- 12:58Right?
- 12:59We're able to look at something so small,
- 13:00or even a mic, let's say a microchip,
- 13:04right?
- 13:05We're able to see that whole world under
- 13:09the microscope.
- 13:10It's like, it's this whole world that we
- 13:11didn't even know existed.
- 13:13And when we become aware of that world,
- 13:16it's like, wow, that's pretty amazing, right?
- 13:20Number 16, guys, stay committed.
- 13:23Long-term effort sustains momentum through challenges, guys,
- 13:29through challenges.
- 13:30I think that's an important thing.
- 13:31A lot of people, when they hear or
- 13:32see a challenge, like, oh gosh, you know,
- 13:34I'm not doing this.
- 13:34I'm failing.
- 13:35No, that's a test.
- 13:37And that test helps you to understand, you
- 13:41know, what's really going on.
- 13:42But a lot of people miss that test
- 13:45in their life.
- 13:45They miss it.
- 13:46They just, they flat out miss it.
- 13:49Number 17, guys, progress builds identity.
- 13:54Identity is part of your character, who you
- 13:56are, and that links back to your integrity.
- 14:00Repeated action shapens who you are, and who
- 14:06you are defines into things like your core
- 14:09values, which will link to how much integrity
- 14:13you have, how much accountability you have.
- 14:15I think those are things a lot of
- 14:17people forget because they look at things at
- 14:19the surface level, but they don't look at
- 14:21the fact that, you know, there's more to
- 14:23it than just what's on the surface.
- 14:25I like to use the example of the
- 14:26iceberg.
- 14:27We're looking at the tip of the iceberg,
- 14:28but you know, there's so much more at
- 14:31the bottom.
- 14:32We're only looking at the tip.
- 14:33We're only scratching the surface.
- 14:35We're only dipping our foot into the water.
- 14:40Not even our whole toe.
- 14:41We're just, maybe just a tiny bit of
- 14:43our toe.
- 14:43Not even, let's say not even our ankle.
- 14:46Number 18, guys, momentum creates success.
- 14:51Yes, you wanna be successful, keep moving, but
- 14:54don't move in a way just to stay
- 14:56busy because that's not gonna be accountable.
- 15:00Momentum creates success and continuous motion drives advancement.
- 15:03So your motion gets going, but you still
- 15:06have to have it aligned with your thoughts
- 15:09and actions that will lead to success.
- 15:11You can't just be busy.
- 15:13I was talking to somebody the other day
- 15:14and they're like, well, John, I'm busy.
- 15:16And people equate the word busy with success,
- 15:21but that's not true at all.
- 15:24Absolutely not.
- 15:25Number 19, guys, keep pushing forward.
- 15:29Even small actions prevent stagnation.
- 15:33Even small actions that you take, they prevent
- 15:35stagnation.
- 15:37Number 20, guys, progress builds confidence.
- 15:40Every day, progress builds confidence.
- 15:43Achievements reinforce the self-trust.
- 15:45So our progress says, hey, I know what
- 15:47I'm doing.
- 15:48I'm good at this, okay?
- 15:51And the more that we do it, the
- 15:54more that we're able to say, hey, wait
- 15:55a minute, I now trust myself.
- 15:58I know that I can do this.
- 16:01Number 21, guys, momentum builds our future.
- 16:06Today's actions shape tomorrow's opportunities.
- 16:10Where you are today is because of the
- 16:12thoughts you've had yesterday and the days prior.
- 16:15Where you'll be tomorrow or next week or
- 16:17next month or next quarter or the end
- 16:19of this year or next year or the
- 16:20end of the century is based on the
- 16:22thoughts and actions that you have before that.
- 16:27So you might say, John, how does a
- 16:29thought do something?
- 16:29So let me talk about this real quickly.
- 16:31A thought creates positive energy and we're all
- 16:35energy beings.
- 16:36So energy affects how we respond, how we
- 16:39talk, how we communicate.
- 16:41And this little thing actually affects other people
- 16:45and gets them to decide, well, gee, do
- 16:47I wanna talk to this person?
- 16:48Is this person open?
- 16:49Are they closed?
- 16:50What's their attitude like?
- 16:51And I think that's a very, very important
- 16:55thing that most people do not understand.
- 16:57Number 22, guys, stay focused.
- 17:00Eliminate distractions and align energy with high impact
- 17:04tasks.
- 17:05Just to stay busy all day, okay, does
- 17:08not mean you're gonna be successful.
- 17:09I'm sorry.
- 17:10I have a few people I know and
- 17:12they just work to fill their schedule, but
- 17:15they don't fill it with people that actually
- 17:17want, need and can afford their product.
- 17:18They just try to fill a schedule so
- 17:21they feel good.
- 17:22What happens at the end of the week,
- 17:24the month?
- 17:25They're exhausted and they barely have a sale
- 17:28if one to even show for, because they're
- 17:31not doing it by using high impact tasks.
- 17:35Number 23, guys, progress wins long-term.
- 17:40Steady efforts outperform the burst of activity.
- 17:42I said that before.
- 17:43And I wanna say it again, because many
- 17:46people said, you know, John, I can work
- 17:47hard on Monday.
- 17:48I can work hard on Wednesday, but I
- 17:51can't work hard on Thursday.
- 17:52Or I can work hard on Monday, Tuesday,
- 17:53Wednesday, but Thursday, Friday, I can't work.
- 17:57That's not progress, okay.
- 18:00Number 24, guys, momentum builds consistency.
- 18:09Momentum builds consistency.
- 18:11Momentum builds power, which transfers to consistency and
- 18:16positions you to lead and influence.
- 18:18I said before, guys, that leaders are not
- 18:21born.
- 18:22Nope, guys, they are made.
- 18:25They are made.
- 18:28You know, when you're trying to influence something,
- 18:30somebody going on, I think
- 18:40it affects some people.
- 18:50And that can affect a lot of people,
- 18:53because like, I don't know what's happening.
- 19:01And I think that scares some people.
- 19:18I think when we look at where we
- 19:21are today and we compare it to where
- 19:27we were yesterday, I said, it's okay to
- 19:30judge and compare yourself to yourself for improvement,
- 19:34but you should never compare yourself to another
- 19:36person, because they're at a different point in
- 19:42their journey.
- 19:42Might be behind you, might be ahead of
- 19:44you, but that's okay.
- 19:45We're all at different points in our life.
- 19:49And that's what makes life kind of interesting.
- 19:52That we can do things like that.
- 19:55Like that's a really important thing to understand.
- 20:00So number 25, guys, is keep building, layer
- 20:04new actions onto existing momentum for compounding success.
- 20:10I have found that the people that come
- 20:13on board now didn't come on board in
- 20:15the past.
- 20:16Why?
- 20:18The ship wasn't moving.
- 20:19The ship was at the dock.
- 20:23The boat wasn't moving.
- 20:26It was docked, right?
- 20:28The airplane was in the hangar.
- 20:30The airplane was on the runway, not moving.
- 20:33The train was in the station.
- 20:35But people risk their lives to get on
- 20:40board a moving train, a moving plane, a
- 20:43moving boat.
- 20:43Now I'm using this proverbially.
- 20:46Most people don't wanna get on something or
- 20:48be part of something new.
- 20:50They wanna already come in that it's developed
- 20:52for them.
- 20:53A little lazy, a little selfish.
- 20:55Yeah, but let's face it.
- 20:56Some people do that.
- 20:58Number 26, guys, progress creates change.
- 21:05Incremental motion shifts the circumstances over time that
- 21:09we have.
- 21:11Over time.
- 21:13I didn't say like today.
- 21:16I didn't say tomorrow.
- 21:18I said over time, over time.
- 21:26I think that's a very important thing to
- 21:30realize.
- 21:31It is over time, over time.
- 21:37Not in one day, not in one night,
- 21:40not in one week.
- 21:41Number 27, guys, momentum drives success.
- 21:46Habitual action becomes a self-reinforcing success loop.
- 21:49So when we do something, we feel great.
- 21:51We wanna keep doing more.
- 21:52We wanna keep doing more of it.
- 21:53I'll give you an example.
- 21:54Let's say you're on the dance floor and
- 21:55you love dancing and you love singing, whatever.
- 21:57And as you're doing that, you're feeling really
- 22:00good inside.
- 22:01Like, oh, I wanna do more.
- 22:01I wanna do another song.
- 22:02Yeah, one more song, one more song.
- 22:04Like at the end of the night, when
- 22:05the DJs at last song and they have,
- 22:08it's like 10 to the closing hour, whether
- 22:11it's 11 or 12, whatever it is.
- 22:13And they say, this is gonna be the
- 22:15last song.
- 22:15Like, oh, and then we're like, oh, we
- 22:18just want one more, one more.
- 22:19And then they give you one more and
- 22:20it feels great.
- 22:20But then, you know, there's no more after
- 22:21that.
- 22:23Because usually a DJ will do, they'll usually
- 22:25do an encore.
- 22:26They'll usually do or be able to do
- 22:27one more song, right?
- 22:29They'll usually end like 10 of or five
- 22:33of because they know that if they end
- 22:37at that time and they can do one
- 22:38more, they have to be off the stage
- 22:40by the hour.
- 22:41That's usually how most venues work.
- 22:44Number 28, guys, stay in motion.
- 22:48Momentum loses strength when activity halts.
- 22:51And you know, activity can halt because of
- 22:54us.
- 22:55It can halt because of outside noise.
- 22:58It can halt because of different distractions that
- 23:02maybe we think are helping us, but are
- 23:05actually, let's say, curbing our ability.
- 23:10And I think a lot of people aren't
- 23:11aware of that immediately.
- 23:14That's probably the best thing that I can
- 23:15say to you.
- 23:16Number 29, progress defines you.
- 23:20I said you, I didn't say someone else.
- 23:22I said, progress defines you.
- 23:25Outcomes reflect the sum of your daily choices.
- 23:29You are who you are because of the
- 23:31thoughts and the choices you have chosen to
- 23:35make today, yesterday, the day before.
- 23:39That's why you're on this trajectory right now.
- 23:42If you don't like it, you can change
- 23:44the thoughts and the actions that you are
- 23:49making.
- 23:51I know sometimes our brain goes on autopilot
- 23:54and we think the decisions are the right
- 23:55decisions, but then we're like, wait a minute,
- 23:57I'm doing more of this, more of this,
- 23:58but I'm getting further away from what it
- 24:01is that I really want.
- 24:02That's when you have to say, okay, I'm
- 24:04not doing this right.
- 24:06I'm on this loop.
- 24:07I'm in a habitual loop that basically is
- 24:10not good for me.
- 24:12It's not healthy for me, for my mind,
- 24:15for my body.
- 24:17I talk about the one where, you know,
- 24:19when we feel the world is moving too
- 24:20fast, we need to slow it down, enjoy
- 24:27it.
- 24:28I tell people, it's like, John, we don't
- 24:29have time for that, we're too busy.
- 24:31If you can't take a moment to give
- 24:34gratitude to our creator, to be in the
- 24:37moment, to experience things with your senses, see,
- 24:41hear, touch, taste, smell, proprioception, right?
- 24:47You're rushing.
- 24:49I find that when we enjoy life, okay,
- 24:53and learn to digest each moment, life goes
- 24:56slower.
- 24:57When we are hectic and moving a million
- 24:59different miles and we're not being mindful or
- 25:03intentional about our life, it's like, oh my
- 25:05gosh, what happened to my day?
- 25:07Gee, what am I doing?
- 25:09And lots of people say this to me,
- 25:11John, how do I slow it down?
- 25:14So momentum creates your life.
- 25:16Consistent, intentional action shapes your experience and your
- 25:22impact.
- 25:23And of course, your wellbeing on yourself and
- 25:25the world.
- 25:27But a lot of people out there look
- 25:30at what the Jones are doing, what the
- 25:33Wagners are doing, what the Marksons are doing,
- 25:36right?
- 25:37The Thompsons are doing.
- 25:40And they're like, well, we must have to
- 25:41do what they do because obviously they're successful.
- 25:45You don't know if they're successful or not,
- 25:47but it's not your job to judge that.
- 25:51It's your job to live a life of
- 25:54intentional purpose, to provide value to yourself and
- 25:57to others at the highest level of integrity
- 26:00and respect.
- 26:02I think sometimes people get lost on the
- 26:06journey.
- 26:07Integrity seems like something, well, you know what?
- 26:09I can make more money if I do
- 26:11this, but if I do this, I'll make
- 26:13less money, but I can sleep with myself
- 26:17at night.
- 26:17What do I mean by that?
- 26:20When you go to bed at night, maybe
- 26:22you reflect on your day.
- 26:24You say, gee, you know, am I happy
- 26:26with what I did today?
- 26:28Can I live with myself with what I
- 26:30did?
- 26:30Or did I do something that I feel
- 26:33is not right?
- 26:35If you did, call your conscience out and
- 26:38apologize to yourself.
- 26:40You don't need to reprimand yourself and say,
- 26:44okay, I'm trying to do better each day.
- 26:47That was probably not the best direction I
- 26:49should take.
- 26:50I should work more on this, right?
- 26:52I think that's important.
- 26:53So this whole week, we're talking about, you
- 26:55know, this whole concept of how, and that
- 26:59how is a big thing, guys, owning your
- 27:01focus, owning how you choose to zoom in,
- 27:06right?
- 27:07Or how you choose to eliminate distractions, how?
- 27:11So guys, building momentum is a daily choice,
- 27:15an intentional choice.
- 27:16Each step, no matter how small, contributes to
- 27:19the exponential results that you can achieve.
- 27:22Focus, ladies and gentlemen, on what matters.
- 27:25Choose to act decisively and let your intentional
- 27:29actions carry you forward and you'll be pretty
- 27:32amazed.
- 27:34Ladies and gentlemen, you can catch this show
- 27:36and the rest of the episodes from the
- 27:38full week of the Inspirations for Your Life
