- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listenings KPI AM six forty the Bill Handle Show
- 0:04Speaker 1: on demand on the iheartradiop They love the rain coming down,
- 0:14Speaker 1: and they love the sound of the rain. And as
- 0:17Speaker 1: far as I'm concerned, rain just gets your wet when
- 0:19Speaker 1: you're outside.
- 0:20Speaker 2: That's it, nothing more, nothing less.
- 0:23Speaker 1: God, if I ever dated and I went on these websites,
- 0:26Speaker 1: it would not be easy for me. I hate walking
- 0:29Speaker 1: on the beach, I hate nature, I hate the rain.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I can't stand any of it. How about a date
- 0:36Speaker 1: and now Handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:41Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Good morning, everybody.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Bill Handle here on a rainy Tuesday morning, November eighteen.
- 0:50Speaker 1: So we had a little bit of a respite yesterday,
- 0:53Speaker 1: and then it came down hard again.
- 0:56Speaker 2: In the afternoon, and so, Amy, what are we looking
- 1:01Speaker 2: at for the rest of the week. I default to you.
- 1:03Speaker 3: We've got showers, maybe some thunderstorms today, Like they're saying,
- 1:08Speaker 3: it's one hundred percent chance we will see rain at
- 1:10Speaker 3: some point during the day for most of the LA area.
- 1:14Speaker 3: And then we get a break tomorrow, so we'll be
- 1:16Speaker 3: sunny tomorrow, and then another storm comes in Thursday.
- 1:19Speaker 1: That's great, and that's gonna last how many eights, just
- 1:22Speaker 1: a couple days.
- 1:22Speaker 3: It should be drive for the weekend.
- 1:24Speaker 1: All right, So for next weekend we're in pretty good shape.
- 1:26Speaker 1: But Thanksgiving, well, no, it's this week. So for Thanksgiving
- 1:29Speaker 1: we should.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Be okay, Well, we don't know yet.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Well, we don't know, but there are no storms brooving
- 1:36Speaker 1: out in the Pacific that our scheduled to come in
- 1:39Speaker 1: during that time on the shooting.
- 1:41Speaker 2: No.
- 1:41Speaker 3: And actually my ten day forecast is saying that we
- 1:44Speaker 3: should see sunny skies and highs in the upper sixties
- 1:47Speaker 3: around Thanksgiving.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Oh it's very nice. Okay, Well, hello to you, Amy,
- 1:52Speaker 1: Hi Bill. Hello, And there's Will Coles River.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Good morning Bill. Yeah, we'll we'll see.
- 1:58Speaker 1: We'll put his face up right next to the camp
- 2:00Speaker 1: And if you think Will is questionable at looking good
- 2:05Speaker 1: from a distance, man, you should see him with his
- 2:07Speaker 1: face right next to the camera.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Uh. It's it's very pleasant to see that.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Uh.
- 2:12Speaker 2: In the meantime, Good morning Anne.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Good morning Bill.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, cono there you are. Good morning Bill.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Oh did you know it's Mickey Mouse's ninety six birthday today?
- 2:23Speaker 2: I did not. He looks great good yep.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Original name of Mickey was one two three four five
- 2:29Speaker 1: moredsem mouse Yeah, yeah, and you who came up with
- 2:36Speaker 1: who came up with were with the name Mickey his wife?
- 2:39Speaker 2: That is correct? What was his wife's name? Mouse made no, no, no,
- 2:44Speaker 2: that was well I think it was. I think I
- 2:46Speaker 2: think it was Lilyan, wasn't it? Am I right on that?
- 2:49Speaker 2: I believe so I think that's right.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Okay, So anyway, Neil, good morning, hey, and just came
- 2:54Speaker 1: up with a topic, uh, and describe it real quickly.
- 2:58Speaker 2: We're probably going to do it in a couple of days.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Well, there's a there's a new AI feature that's called
- 3:06Speaker 5: cleuly and basically, in real time, it will help you
- 3:11Speaker 5: with a conversation.
- 3:12Speaker 2: So if you're on a zoom and you have it
- 3:13Speaker 2: up in real time, it'll tell.
- 3:15Speaker 3: You how to.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Continue the conversation.
- 3:18Speaker 5: The questions to ask answers to questions you're being asked,
- 3:23Speaker 5: and it basically prompts you to say different things to
- 3:25Speaker 5: make yourself sound more interesting, so you don't have to
- 3:28Speaker 5: use your brain.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Real right, So here's the question I'm going to ask.
- 3:31Speaker 1: We're putting this together right now, and the question that's
- 3:33Speaker 1: going to be asked is real simple. I mean, we're
- 3:37Speaker 1: a third person here is Bill Handle.
- 3:40Speaker 2: That's me. Is Bill Handle really and truly a dick?
- 3:44Speaker 1: And going through everything that I have said, going through
- 3:49Speaker 1: sharing thoughts over the years, the answer is I'm going
- 3:55Speaker 1: to ask as a percentage of people who actually think
- 3:58Speaker 1: as big an a hole as people think I am
- 4:01Speaker 1: so real Quickly, survey says Neil, percentage do you I guess?
- 4:07Speaker 2: Well, said Cono. Yeah, Neil took my answer.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Okay, Amy, I think it's much lower than that. Thank
- 4:14Speaker 1: you so much. Shevn Okay, much lower? Will oh lower?
- 4:20Speaker 2: Ninety eight percent? Excellent? And finally, Anne, God, you guys
- 4:24Speaker 2: are mean. I gave it eighty percent. Well, thank you
- 4:27Speaker 2: for that. It's that's Appreciateay.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So what I'm just curious to I mean literally, because
- 4:35Speaker 1: I have played both sides of that coin. Anybody who's
- 4:39Speaker 1: been listening to me over the years knows that there
- 4:41Speaker 1: are slivers, little tiny cracks where wait a.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Minute, maybe he isn't that big of a dick.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Most people miss that, But Neil Cono stopped shaking your head. Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I don't want to hear that. So anyway, and then
- 4:57Speaker 1: I will ask the same question I think of the
- 5:01Speaker 1: rest of you will and Ann and just all of you,
- 5:06Speaker 1: because I think there is some dickiosity amongst all of us.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Oh really is a new word.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Uh think think think Will and Amy have an edge
- 5:17Speaker 4: to them.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Do you a little bit of an edge? I think so?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, if you really search if the internet, if AI
- 5:25Speaker 1: is that good? And Amy, you've been here for literally
- 5:29Speaker 1: how long I know, station at the station, at the station,
- 5:33Speaker 1: so we know.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Who you are.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I have twelve thirteen years.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Okay, and then prior to that, because remember the AI
- 5:38Speaker 1: can search your entire entire broadcast history.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Well then I was hosting morning shows and other markets.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Okay, I mean, but that is certainly the computer. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: the artificial intelligence can search through that. Plus I don't know.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And can it look at texts.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Your private texts? I don't think you can. And although
- 5:58Speaker 2: they can start, although I bet you can.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I'll bet he can because when there's a problem, I
- 6:04Speaker 1: mean yeah, when the the FBI, they can go through
- 6:07Speaker 1: and they subpoena texts and they'll go through years of
- 6:10Speaker 1: text to find out did you make a terrorist threats?
- 6:14Speaker 1: And so anyway, there's a few texts that I have
- 6:17Speaker 1: gone where the response is, uh, what are you wearing?
- 6:20Speaker 2: Sailor and Okay, you guys ready to do it?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Yes it is yes, you were absolutely porn ready. Okay,
- 6:33Speaker 1: let's do it, guys. Uh, it is time for Handle
- 6:36Speaker 1: on the News with Amy Neil and Me on this
- 6:40Speaker 1: Tuesday morning lead story.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Jeff Jeffrey, Jeffrey, Jeffery, Jeffrey.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Okay, oh, this is so much fun.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Now the Republican controlled House of Representative is expected to
- 6:53Speaker 1: vote today on that measure that would force the Justice
- 6:57Speaker 1: Department to release the records. Jeffrey Epstein. Interesting set of
- 7:04Speaker 1: circumstances here. Originally the President has been fighting this like crazy,
- 7:08Speaker 1: and of course all the Republicans fell right in line
- 7:11Speaker 1: with that, except there were a few and it was
- 7:15Speaker 1: mounting saying, you know what, this is not there's a
- 7:18Speaker 1: line that was crossed here. We will follow Donald Trump
- 7:22Speaker 1: to our death. But when it comes to covering up pedophiles,
- 7:27Speaker 1: or potentially covering up pedophiles, that line will not be crossed.
- 7:32Speaker 1: And the President realized that. And so now Mike Johnson,
- 7:37Speaker 1: who insisted on never bringing that, would never have the vote,
- 7:41Speaker 1: would never go against the president. Now he is in
- 7:46Speaker 1: favor of releasing the file and the whole issue of
- 7:49Speaker 1: having said no, for months has disappeared.
- 7:53Speaker 2: It's as if it never happened.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Well, he kind of never didn't when he was running,
- 7:58Speaker 4: wasn't he like, we are going to release day one.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So yeah, because of the Democrats had it and the one
- 8:03Speaker 1: thing the Republicans have. And it's a good question, why
- 8:06Speaker 1: if there are anti Trump and anti Republican references to
- 8:11Speaker 1: the Epstein trial, why didn't the just why didn't the
- 8:14Speaker 1: Biden Justice.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Department release those?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Because probably just as many Democrats are being named as
- 8:20Speaker 1: Republicans say, is why.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Guess this may close down Washington.
- 8:23Speaker 2: No, it's not going to close down. Everybody's like a
- 8:25Speaker 2: house of cards.
- 8:26Speaker 1: No. And then and the President realized he was probably
- 8:30Speaker 1: going to lose this vote, so he turned around and said, oh,
- 8:33Speaker 1: if now telling Republicans vote, vote on it. I want
- 8:38Speaker 1: you to vote to release it, and then the Senate
- 8:41Speaker 1: and he says, and then he hasn't even committed to
- 8:43Speaker 1: signing it.
- 8:43Speaker 2: He says, I think I will.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Do you know that he can make one phone call
- 8:47Speaker 1: and the files are released within ten minutes. And if
- 8:52Speaker 1: he's in favor of less files, what then why vote
- 8:57Speaker 1: exactly exactly? I vote because he wants to not make
- 9:03Speaker 1: the decision himself to release those files and put Republicans in.
- 9:10Speaker 2: A bad light, and so the blame can be spread.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Well, the Congress wanted it, the Senate wanted it, and
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm just agreeing with them, as opposed to calling them
- 9:21Speaker 1: up and saying you will not vote in favor of this,
- 9:23Speaker 1: I don't care what you think, which was the case
- 9:26Speaker 1: until he reversed himself.
- 9:28Speaker 4: How do we know nothing's been redacted?
- 9:31Speaker 2: That's the other issue.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it will be and here's what, and here is what,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and here's what's going to happen is the vote for
- 9:40Speaker 1: the file files will be made, the President will sign. However,
- 9:44Speaker 1: Pam BONDI will open up an investigation of Democrats who
- 9:50Speaker 1: are listed on there and will then say we can't
- 9:54Speaker 1: release all the files because there's an active investigation going on.
- 9:59Speaker 2: There is it now, but there will.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Be an active investigation going on as soon as the
- 10:04Speaker 1: vote takes place and the files are determined to be released.
- 10:09Speaker 2: That's what it is. A cluster truck, this whole thing.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But the bottom line is, and no Republican is going
- 10:18Speaker 1: to be able to run having voted no on releasing
- 10:21Speaker 1: those Epstein files because the accusation that's going to be
- 10:25Speaker 1: both in the primary against another Republican and in the generals.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Why did you vote to protect a pedophile?
- 10:33Speaker 1: We're not talking about Trump necessarily, but why did you
- 10:37Speaker 1: vote to protect pedophiles that Jeffrey Epstein names?
- 10:42Speaker 2: How do you answer that you can't? Therefore, the files
- 10:47Speaker 2: will be released? I mean it is. The politics of
- 10:49Speaker 2: this are just insane.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And you won't see President Trump, who wants the files released,
- 10:55Speaker 1: to make the phone call to release the files.
- 10:58Speaker 2: All right, let's do one more and we'll take our break.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I like to an order of F thirty five's with
- 11:03Speaker 3: the side of fries, please. President Trump says the US
- 11:08Speaker 3: will sell advanced F thirty five fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.
- 11:13Speaker 3: So there are concerns with this because some are saying
- 11:18Speaker 3: that it could erode Israel's military advantage in the Middle
- 11:21Speaker 3: East and then reduce the amount of leverage that Washington
- 11:25Speaker 3: has to encourage Saudi Arabia and Israel to normalize their relationship.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, this gets interesting because the F thirty five is
- 11:32Speaker 1: the most advanced fighter jet that exists on the planet.
- 11:36Speaker 1: It is a top top secret. The US keeps it
- 11:39Speaker 1: very close to the vest Israel has them. I don't
- 11:42Speaker 1: know what other countries do have them. There may be
- 11:45Speaker 1: other countries, allied countries that have them.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Amy do you know.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I was listening to us information about this when I
- 11:51Speaker 3: got worried about it, and I think it's only Israel,
- 11:55Speaker 3: at least in the Middle.
- 11:56Speaker 2: East, and that makes sense.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And to give it to Saudi Arabia is Israel's going nuts,
- 12:01Speaker 1: of course, because Israel has the advantage militarily across the
- 12:06Speaker 1: entire Middle East. Now the other side is Saudi Arabia
- 12:12Speaker 1: was about to normalize relationships with Israel. Israel is a
- 12:16Speaker 1: lot closer to Saudi Arabia in terms of politics and
- 12:21Speaker 1: in terms of just surviving in the Middle East. The
- 12:24Speaker 1: real enemy is Aron. And so you're gonna see Saudi
- 12:27Speaker 1: Arabian Israel. I believe normalized relationships much like Jordan has,
- 12:32Speaker 1: like the Emirates have, like Egypt has.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And I think you're going to see other countries too.
- 12:37Speaker 3: All right, Yeah, we've sold them to like everybody, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Belgium, Canada, Japan, Netherlands, Norway,
- 12:46Speaker 3: Full Singapore.
- 12:47Speaker 1: All allies, all allies, strong allies, and Saudi Arabia, not
- 12:52Speaker 1: necessarily an ally because it aligns itself with the Palestinian
- 12:56Speaker 1: cause for example, big time, well, at least lip service wise.
- 13:00Speaker 4: All right, David Richardson, if you remember he is, was
- 13:05Speaker 4: the acting head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency aka
- 13:10Speaker 4: FEMA for a short amount of time. He resigned yesterday,
- 13:16Speaker 4: So about six months or so, was the acting head
- 13:19Speaker 4: of the disaster response agency for the US. But apparently
- 13:24Speaker 4: he's not easy to get a hold of. And that's
- 13:28Speaker 4: a huge complaint. I mean, you think disasters.
- 13:30Speaker 2: During hurricanes and natural disaster.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Back in July when there were massive issues, I guess
- 13:37Speaker 4: he was hard to find and staffers and others that
- 13:40Speaker 4: were interviewed are like, hey, you know, we couldn't get
- 13:44Speaker 4: a hold of him, and he wasn't He didn't come
- 13:46Speaker 4: to meetings apparently in all this, so a lot of
- 13:50Speaker 4: controversies surrounding him. And apparently he resigned yesterday, so the controversy.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah, what a piece of work he was.
- 13:57Speaker 1: And when he did show up, he'd be in a
- 13:59Speaker 1: cowboy hat and cowboy boots. I mean, just come on, guy, really,
- 14:04Speaker 1: so another head of FEMA disappears.
- 14:10Speaker 3: What's your homeworth? Not as much as it was. Home
- 14:14Speaker 3: values are falling in more than half of the US.
- 14:18Speaker 3: As of October, fifty three percent of homes in the
- 14:21Speaker 3: country had lost value in the past year. That's according
- 14:23Speaker 3: to Zillo. Home prices are falling in much of the
- 14:26Speaker 3: Southeast and also parts of the West. They are still
- 14:30Speaker 3: rising in some cities in the Midwest and the Northeast.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Why a lot of would be home buyers have remained
- 14:36Speaker 3: on the sidelines because of economic uncertainty and mortgage rates
- 14:41Speaker 3: sticking around six percent.
- 14:44Speaker 2: How are we doing in southern California?
- 14:46Speaker 1: I think we're probably flat because I haven't seen home
- 14:49Speaker 1: prices go up the way they did last year.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Do we have any idea I have noted.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Yeah, we did a story like two weeks ago, and
- 15:00Speaker 3: remember the percentage. I mean, they've dropped just a tough bit,
- 15:03Speaker 3: but not a lot.
- 15:04Speaker 2: All right, fair enough. I'm just curious.
- 15:07Speaker 3: But I did notice that there's somebody on my street
- 15:09Speaker 3: who's had their house for sale and it's been for
- 15:11Speaker 3: sale for a really long time. They would go up
- 15:14Speaker 3: and they'd be gone immediately, not anymore.
- 15:17Speaker 1: And my neighbor through two doors down has had her
- 15:22Speaker 1: their sale home for sale for almost the entire time
- 15:25Speaker 1: that I've been living here, and at a reasonable price,
- 15:28Speaker 1: not asking crazy money, couldn't sell it.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Decided not to sell.
- 15:32Speaker 4: The house once you moved in, buddy.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly in the house, and then the house across
- 15:37Speaker 1: the street, and then down the street. There were like
- 15:39Speaker 1: four or five homes that were for sale in my neighborhood,
- 15:43Speaker 1: all at reasonable prices.
- 15:44Speaker 2: They all went. So I don't know why the house
- 15:47Speaker 2: didn't go down the street.
- 15:49Speaker 4: All right, The Justice Department is, you know, going after COMBI,
- 15:54Speaker 4: as we know. And now you've got a judge stepping
- 15:58Speaker 4: in and saying, you know what there is, in their words,
- 16:02Speaker 4: not mine, disturbing pattern of profound and investigative missteps, very
- 16:09Speaker 4: specific and very stern. So this federal judge ruled monday
- 16:13Speaker 4: in directing prosecutors to provide defense lawyers with all grand
- 16:18Speaker 4: jury material from the case. Which is that very unusual
- 16:23Speaker 4: because yeah, I was gonna say, but it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Looks like that the grand jury indictment and the evidence
- 16:30Speaker 1: presented was so so sketchy that the lead prosecutor who
- 16:37Speaker 1: was there, the US attorney that was there, dropped out.
- 16:40Speaker 2: He said, I'm not going to do it.
- 16:41Speaker 1: There's no evidence and so he was fired, and then
- 16:44Speaker 1: another one was put in who had never had proscatorial experience,
- 16:48Speaker 1: that was assigned to be the US attorney for that district,
- 16:51Speaker 1: and she's going forward on it. Now. I want to
- 16:53Speaker 1: point something out, and that is Kobe and ly Titia
- 16:57Speaker 1: James and of course John Bolton have all been indicted
- 17:00Speaker 1: and are all going to be put up for trial
- 17:03Speaker 1: because of the horrors that they had done. For example,
- 17:06Speaker 1: Letitia James is call me having lied to Congress. One
- 17:12Speaker 1: witness says he lied. He says no, But let's believe
- 17:16Speaker 1: the one guy who said he did. Okay, fair enough.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Tom Holman, who is head of ICE, it is reported
- 17:24Speaker 1: that the FBI has video of him accepting a fifty
- 17:28Speaker 1: thousand dollars cash bribe.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Video.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Christin Nolams said, we've investigated it and there's not enough
- 17:36Speaker 1: evidence to go forward with Tom Holman. Life is wonderful,
- 17:43Speaker 1: isn't it. Craziness is going on, Insanity is going on,
- 17:50Speaker 1: and of course the insanity of the politics that are happening.
- 17:53Speaker 3: All right, Well, if you don't want to be fat anymore,
- 17:56Speaker 3: you can get your weight loss drugs for cheaper. The
- 17:59Speaker 3: maker of wigov and ozempk have cut prices for most
- 18:05Speaker 3: of these medifications three forty nine a month, down from
- 18:10Speaker 3: four ninety nine a month. That's accuding to Novo Nordisk,
- 18:13Speaker 3: so Wigovy and Ozempic drop in their prices for new customers.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Novo Nordisk is going to sell the point twenty five
- 18:21Speaker 3: milligram and they point five milligram versions of Wigovy and
- 18:24Speaker 3: ozempk four one hundred and ninety nine dollars a month
- 18:26Speaker 3: for the first two months. Apparently they're doing this in
- 18:29Speaker 3: response to Trump administration pressure and also Eli Lilly potentially
- 18:36Speaker 3: slashing prices for the weightless truns.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yeah, and this is Trump. You have to give him
- 18:41Speaker 2: credit for this.
- 18:42Speaker 1: He's done more than any other president to really president,
- 18:45Speaker 1: to really put pressure on big pharma in a big way.
- 18:50Speaker 2: And so good news, good news.
- 18:54Speaker 1: A lot of fat people in this country, I mean
- 18:57Speaker 1: a whole lot of fat people.
- 18:58Speaker 4: I'm going to get rid of the fatty.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I don't want to make too many accusations here, Neil, Well.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Bill, I'm very excited, and I'm going to have a snack. Yeah,
- 19:12Speaker 4: all right, Walgreens. You know, you got to figure sometimes
- 19:15Speaker 4: you go forward and sometimes you go backwards and I'm
- 19:19Speaker 4: telling you companies are going to start going backwards. Walgreens,
- 19:22Speaker 4: who's had some issues back in twenty twenty four, they
- 19:27Speaker 4: plan to close about twelve hundred underperforming stores. Well now
- 19:31Speaker 4: they're no longer going to give most of their workers
- 19:34Speaker 4: paid vacation time for Thanksgiving, Christmas and other major holidays,
- 19:39Speaker 4: six of them to be exact. And this is just
- 19:42Speaker 4: after being bought by a private equity company for.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Yah and they want to cut expenses. How many companies
- 19:48Speaker 1: do not give Thanksgiving or Christmas Day off as a
- 19:51Speaker 1: paid vacation.
- 19:52Speaker 4: It's probably very rare, but I'm thank you major Major's rare.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, our company, we don't get a paid Thanksgiving or
- 20:03Speaker 1: we do, of course we do. Amy just not you,
- 20:06Speaker 1: just you. Yeah, maybe you ought to look into that,
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yeah you do.
- 20:11Speaker 3: No what I mean, No, I think that that might
- 20:14Speaker 3: be changing with the new contract or something.
- 20:16Speaker 2: But oh no, the union.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yeah it is under union. I think under the union contract.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I think they have to.
- 20:23Speaker 3: The new one, the new one that goes into effect
- 20:26Speaker 3: next year.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:26Speaker 3: But I've been here for like twelve years.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I don't even I don't even think we have a contract.
- 20:32Speaker 1: KFI has a contract with the union.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah, we do. We got a new one this year.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Oh they signed it this year.
- 20:37Speaker 1: There was no contract for ten years, twelve years.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Well, we had a contract. It was just the old
- 20:43Speaker 3: contract that expired.
- 20:44Speaker 2: We were just lapse, but it lapsed for a decade,
- 20:47Speaker 2: so we.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Were going off the terms of those kinds.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Well, anyway, I know that's not that exciting to you.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Okay, I didn't know that. That's wow.
- 20:55Speaker 1: You know. I tend not to bad mouth I heart,
- 20:58Speaker 1: but that one is a tough one.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Not Giving, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we do.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Shut down the radio station.
- 21:06Speaker 1: No, but you get people that are willing. No, you
- 21:09Speaker 1: get people that are willing to work, and you pay
- 21:12Speaker 1: them big money vacation pay no, nope. Okay, Well congratulations Neil.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You're here Thanksgiving in the day after and you too,
- 21:24Speaker 1: and no extra money right correct?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Oh wow, I don't think so. Well, I don't know.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Time and a half.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, if that's true, if you're on contract, all right,
- 21:33Speaker 2: let's just move on.
- 21:36Speaker 3: The UN backs President Trump's peace plan. The UN Security
- 21:41Speaker 3: Council endorse proposals put forward by President Trump that twenty
- 21:46Speaker 3: point plan for a lasting piece in Gaza. It includes
- 21:49Speaker 3: the deployment of an international stabilization force and a possible
- 21:54Speaker 3: plan to a Palestinian state. The vote was thirteen to nothing,
- 22:00Speaker 3: with abstentions by China and Russia. Hamas came out and said, well,
- 22:03Speaker 3: we don't support it, and Israel said Palestinian state, what
- 22:07Speaker 3: are you talking about?
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah, now under Nettayahoo, that'll never happen. In the end,
- 22:11Speaker 1: you have to give Trump credit for this. It was
- 22:13Speaker 1: his prop pressure that puts this together. I don't think
- 22:16Speaker 1: it would have happened without him.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Well, and here's I was talking to Jordana Miller too
- 22:20Speaker 3: about this, because it's going to take a long time.
- 22:21Speaker 3: There's lots of conditions and stuff if they do this,
- 22:24Speaker 3: and she said, even if Netanyahu's against a Palestinian state,
- 22:28Speaker 3: he's probably not going to be in power by the
- 22:30Speaker 3: time that's correct, that's all plays out.
- 22:32Speaker 1: You're absolutely right, And so they're putting of course, they're
- 22:34Speaker 1: calling it the Trump Peace Plan, naturally, and it's no
- 22:38Speaker 1: longer the Islamic world, it's the Trumpslamic world.
- 22:44Speaker 2: All right.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Bringing back an oldie, but a goodie. You got health
- 22:48Speaker 4: officials this week, uh looking around and seeing that measles
- 22:53Speaker 4: outbreak that began in Texas and another in Utah and Arizona.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Finding that this could America end our status here in
- 23:03Speaker 4: the United States as a nation that has eliminated measles.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Those a pet train of transmission since January, going bump, bump, bump, Texas, Oklahoma,
- 23:13Speaker 4: now New Mexico. So we're going backwards.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, those pesky vaccines you got in the way
- 23:21Speaker 1: of the disease being spread. Now it's the Mennonites. This
- 23:26Speaker 1: is not the Robert F. Kennedy craziness. The Mennonites have
- 23:31Speaker 1: never allowed vaccinations. But the problem is herd immunity is
- 23:35Speaker 1: basically gone because so many people do not get vaccines.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Kids do not get vaccines anymore. The spread goes when
- 23:42Speaker 1: there's when there's herd immunity, it's just going to stop
- 23:46Speaker 1: a few few people getting vaccines. It doesn't spread more
- 23:50Speaker 1: and more people not getting vaccines. Well, this is what
- 23:54Speaker 1: you're looking at.
- 23:58Speaker 3: More flights to Mexico. Apparently. Mexican President Claudia Scheinbaum says
- 24:04Speaker 3: that Mexican Airlines has agreed to hand over some flight
- 24:07Speaker 3: slots to the nation's busy capital airport to US characters.
- 24:13Speaker 3: This is our carriers, This is happening during an ongoing
- 24:17Speaker 3: spat between the US and Mexico over flight distribution. She
- 24:21Speaker 3: didn't say how many slots were being given up, but
- 24:23Speaker 3: they will be. It comes as the US Department of
- 24:27Speaker 3: Transportation is cracked down on Mexican airline operations in the
- 24:30Speaker 3: US in recent months.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Other than involuntary flights to Mexico that the US government
- 24:37Speaker 1: provides for certain people that are picked up.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Who wants to go to Mexico.
- 24:44Speaker 3: It's a great place to vacation.
- 24:46Speaker 2: It's a great place to die. Oh yeah, Okay, Moving
- 24:52Speaker 2: on Tokyo.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Speaking of dying, they don't want karoshi, which to death
- 25:01Speaker 4: from overwork. Tokyo officials are looking over all the details
- 25:06Speaker 4: of this stuff as people are fighting for a four
- 25:09Speaker 4: day work week, not just oh we want some time
- 25:13Speaker 4: to relax, but apparently to erase the nation's notoriously punishing
- 25:19Speaker 4: work culture, and that they're trying to find ways to
- 25:24Speaker 4: balance everything out because you've got you know, birth rates down,
- 25:30Speaker 4: all these different things that are emanating from having you know,
- 25:34Speaker 4: burnout and all these things that are caused by overworking.
- 25:38Speaker 4: There four day work week is looking like the answer.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Look at the cultural difference between Tokyo or Japan, where
- 25:47Speaker 1: they work like animals, they work so hard. And then
- 25:50Speaker 1: you have France where you wake up, you go to
- 25:53Speaker 1: work at ten o'clock, you have lunch from twelve to two,
- 25:56Speaker 1: and then you leave at four o'clock. And let's not
- 25:58Speaker 1: forget a month. They cation by law that you start
- 26:02Speaker 1: at ah those French, but they have to do their art.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I know they doo.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Yes, California is not the only ones suing, you know
- 26:14Speaker 3: the California has filed dozens of lawsuits against Trump administration. Well,
- 26:18Speaker 3: now this time the Trump administration is filing a lawsuit
- 26:21Speaker 3: against California and it's new law that bans federal agents
- 26:25Speaker 3: from wearing masks. It also and also requiring them to
- 26:28Speaker 3: have ID while they do ice operations. The government has
- 26:33Speaker 3: argued that the laws threaten the safety of officers who
- 26:36Speaker 3: are facing what they call unprecedented harassment, dosing, and violence
- 26:39Speaker 3: during these ice immigration reads. The laws are called the
- 26:43Speaker 3: No Secret Police and No Vigilante Laws. California is the
- 26:47Speaker 3: first in the country to do it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Yeah, both sides have a point because life is so
- 26:51Speaker 1: polarized that you go after either side and the threats
- 26:56Speaker 1: just happen.
- 26:57Speaker 2: So if you have the what is the people that
- 27:00Speaker 2: have dealt.
- 27:00Speaker 1: With the police if they could, if they can, many
- 27:03Speaker 1: of them publish the addresses of the policeman's homes after
- 27:08Speaker 1: recognizing them with facial recognition software.
- 27:11Speaker 2: You can do whatever.
- 27:12Speaker 1: And at the same time, don't you want to know
- 27:14Speaker 1: if you want to go after someone who is acting
- 27:19Speaker 1: acting out when arresting someone acting inappropriately?
- 27:23Speaker 2: So I don't know where the answer is on that one.
- 27:27Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:28Speaker 4: The good news is that American Social Security cost of
- 27:32Speaker 4: living increase is going to pop up next year. The
- 27:35Speaker 4: bad news is for older Americans it's going to be
- 27:37Speaker 4: consumed by Medicare costs.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it gets pretty expensive this medical care.
- 27:47Speaker 2: In the States. So there you go. Okay, not much
- 27:53Speaker 2: more to say.
- 27:55Speaker 3: How about prices? Its post officer going up, But the
- 27:58Speaker 3: good news is they don't to go up until after
- 28:01Speaker 3: the holidays. The Postal Service says that shipping prices are
- 28:05Speaker 3: going to go up starting in February, I believe. But
- 28:11Speaker 3: the mail, the stamp prices for just the basic stamp,
- 28:15Speaker 3: those are staying the same.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Well, when you look.
- 28:17Speaker 1: At this is shipping, when you look at ups, when
- 28:20Speaker 1: you look at FedEx, both are fabulously profitable organizations. The
- 28:24Speaker 1: Postal Service, which also ships and does letters, is losing money.
- 28:29Speaker 1: And that's because the Postal Service delivers to every single
- 28:33Speaker 1: address in the United States.
- 28:35Speaker 2: They even have mules that deliver.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Down into the Grand Canyon, and there are places that
- 28:42Speaker 1: are only available to get to by snowmobiles and airplanes.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Barges so well, people complain about them, but I got
- 28:52Speaker 4: to tell you, the United States Postal Service is still
- 28:55Speaker 4: one of the best deals on the planet. When you
- 28:57Speaker 4: it is what it is, get for your money.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Absolutely and it's it doesn't get any tax dollars. It
- 29:03Speaker 1: makes it all with stamps and services. And although they
- 29:09Speaker 1: should charge more for the junk mail, although how do
- 29:12Speaker 1: you determine what junk mail is? I have no idea
- 29:14Speaker 1: who makes that decision. But ninety percent of the mail
- 29:18Speaker 1: that I get is crap, pure crap in the sense
- 29:24Speaker 1: that they're all coupons and real well real estate people.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I mean, how long has it been. It's been what
- 29:33Speaker 1: a year and a half since I bought my house.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I'm still getting stuff from real estate agents. Hey, if
- 29:39Speaker 1: you're thinking of selling your house here I am. I
- 29:42Speaker 1: get half a dozen of those a week. Okay, we
- 29:46Speaker 1: are done. Coming up the OJ Simpson case is still alive,
- 29:51Speaker 1: and what an agreement the estate has made with the
- 29:55Speaker 1: Goldman family and it means absolutely nothing, and I'll share
- 30:00Speaker 1: with you when.
- 30:00Speaker 2: We come back. Let's check in with or we'll.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Talk to Amy a few minutes after I lock out,
- 30:07Speaker 1: which I should have just said.
- 30:10Speaker 2: This is KFI A M six forty. You've been listening
- 30:16Speaker 2: to the Bill Handle Show.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Catch my Show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
- 30:21Speaker 1: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
