  Speaker 2: Today, I was thinking of what I would say today

  Speaker 2: and it just dawned on me this way, and I

  Speaker 2: just want to share this with everybody listening. You've got

  Speaker 2: to get some help to make it through life. I

  Speaker 2: cannot imagine where I would be if it was not

  Speaker 2: for the help of my God, if it wasn't for

  Speaker 2: his grace and mercy, if I did not have the

  Speaker 2: ability to lean on him, and all the times I've

  Speaker 2: had to lean on Him, which has become a daily basis,

  Speaker 2: I have no idea where I would be, but clearly

  Speaker 2: I know for a matter of fact, I would not

  Speaker 2: be here today. You have got to get some help

  Speaker 2: to get through this thing called life. I am begging

  Speaker 2: you to look into it. Man, you've got to form

  Speaker 2: a relationship with God. Without a relationship with God, this

  Speaker 2: thing called life is daunting at times.

  Speaker 1: I don't care who you are.

  Speaker 2: I know I'm speaking the truth right now, because listen,

  Speaker 2: no matter who you are, what job title you have,

  Speaker 2: what aspirations you may have, I don't care what your educational.

  Speaker 1: Background is or is not. It does not matter.

  Speaker 2: If you don't get a real relationship going on with God,

  Speaker 2: I don't see how you can make it. So many

  Speaker 2: people are faking in fronting out here like they got

  Speaker 2: it going on, and you don't know, And you really

  Speaker 2: don't know how many people that you think in your
• 1:36
  Speaker 2: neighborhood had it going on because you saw a car

  Speaker 2: pull up in the driveway, or they house look bigger,

  Speaker 2: or the grass is cutting nicer, and you only find
• 1:45
  Speaker 2: out that a foreclosure sign.

  Speaker 1: On they house too. See, you don't know.

  Speaker 2: The mask that people put on to parade around in

  Speaker 2: is for appearance sakes. So a lot of people you

  Speaker 2: looking at that you think got it going on, who

  Speaker 2: might be the pattern of success that you want a trace.

  Speaker 2: You got to be real careful with that because it

  Speaker 2: may not be as it appears to be. But one

  Speaker 2: thing is for sure, no matter what's going on in

  Speaker 2: your life, I know that behind whatever mask I'm wearing,

  Speaker 2: or I realized, no matter what the appearances may be,

  Speaker 2: that on the other side of me, I'm gonna be

  Speaker 2: just fine. See, you may be outwardly people hating on you,

  Speaker 2: talking about you dragging your name through the mud. Look, man,

  Speaker 2: people can say stuff about you. Most people talking about

  Speaker 2: you don't even know you. They just participating in it.

  Speaker 2: You can have that appearance going on, but behind you,

  Speaker 2: within you, if you have a relationship with God, it

  Speaker 2: don't matter because you can be all right. I've seen

  Speaker 2: it get real stormy on the outside for me, but

  Speaker 2: on the inside I just had to feel and I

  Speaker 2: was gonna be all right.

  Speaker 1: See. That's what the relationship gives you. Man.

  Speaker 2: It gives you the confidence to know that the things

  Speaker 2: that you're going through are temporary. That is just the

  Speaker 2: space that you happen to be in. Like I said

  Speaker 2: the other day, you got to remember something. The road

  Speaker 2: to success is always under construction. You might as well

  Speaker 2: get ready for that. If you planing on changing, getting better,

  Speaker 2: doing something about your health.

  Speaker 1: If you decide, hey, look.

  Speaker 2: I just would like to live a longer, more prosperous life,

  Speaker 2: or hey I want to make X amount of dollars,

  Speaker 2: or hey man, I'm gonna stop staying out in these

  Speaker 2: streets and I'm gonna come home and treat my family
• 3:31
  Speaker 2: way they ought to be treated. I don't care what
• 3:33
  Speaker 2: decision you make when you strike out on that road
• 3:36
  Speaker 2: to success, it's under construction, partner, that's barrels out there,
• 3:40
  Speaker 2: there's wide turns, there's detours. You know, it's me and
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: out there holding signs saying slow down. Sometimes they put
• 3:48
  Speaker 2: the stop sign up. You got to wait and watch
• 3:51
  Speaker 2: people go by you on the other side. Then before
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: you can take off again. You've all been on the
• 3:57
  Speaker 2: road with construction on it. It can be so frustrating.

  Speaker 2: And the whole time you on that road. I know,
• 4:03
  Speaker 2: when I'm on the road we can under construction. I'm
• 4:06
  Speaker 2: always thinking of an alternative path. I ain't ever set
• 4:11
  Speaker 2: in traffic under construction man, and thought of if I
• 4:15
  Speaker 2: get off on this exit, where would it take me?
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: Not knowing, but just man, could I keep moving if
• 4:20
  Speaker 2: I go that way? That's a dangerous thing sometimes, see,
• 4:24
  Speaker 2: because oftentimes when we get off the road to success
• 4:27
  Speaker 2: and we take that other path, we get further and
• 4:31
  Speaker 2: further off course. Because wasn't no detools signed for that,
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: Just a decision I made on my own because I
• 4:36
  Speaker 2: don't like sitting here. Sometimes I don't have the patience
• 4:39
  Speaker 2: I ought to have, So I've taken some what I
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: thought might be shortcuts. But I got to tell you something,
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: ain't no shortcuts on the road to success. Even the
• 4:47
  Speaker 2: detour signs wind up taking you a little bit out
• 4:50
  Speaker 2: your way and loop background. I remember one time I
• 4:52
  Speaker 2: was coming from Las Vegas and that was some type
• 4:56
  Speaker 2: of chemical spill in the truck and you could almost
• 5:02
  Speaker 2: see the smoke up ahead.

  Speaker 1: It very faint.
• 5:05
  Speaker 2: So they detoreed us through the desert and we had
• 5:08
  Speaker 2: to go all the way around, and I drove, man
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: like an hour and a half out of the way.
• 5:13
  Speaker 2: And when they entered us back on the freeway where
• 5:16
  Speaker 2: we were to go back to La As soon as
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: I got it that exit to get back on the freeway,
• 5:22
  Speaker 2: I looked right there and there the accident was. Now
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: it was an hour and a half hour forty five
• 5:29
  Speaker 2: all the way around in that desert to get back
• 5:32
  Speaker 2: to almost the same place. But it was the best
• 5:35
  Speaker 2: way to go, because see, that was the route to take.

  Speaker 2: And that's what you got to understand about trying to
• 5:42
  Speaker 2: make the right decision to be successful, that the road
• 5:45
  Speaker 2: to success is always under construction. You're gonna have to
• 5:49
  Speaker 2: go round a little bit, so quick. Stop being impatient

  Speaker 2: with I don't want to go around. I'm gonna go

  Speaker 2: this way, you go that way if you want to

  Speaker 2: just follow the detour science. See, because somebody that came

  Speaker 2: up this road before you have. Somebody done travel the

  Speaker 2: road already and they took the way around, and yeah,

  Speaker 2: it seemed like it's a longer way, and you want

  Speaker 2: to make that other decision. But stay on the road

  Speaker 2: to success. It's under construction, man, That's just the way

  Speaker 2: it goes. Don't lose your patience and try to create

  Speaker 2: a shortcut for yourself. I'm gonna go away. Ain't nobody

  Speaker 2: ever gone way? Hold up, pardon you really think you're

  Speaker 2: gonna do that? Listen, there's oftentimes a lot of rewards

  Speaker 2: when you go the least travel path. But the road

  Speaker 2: to success is the least travel path. That's what you

  Speaker 2: keep getting mixed up. You keep thinking if you go

  Speaker 2: another way. No, no, stay on the road to success.

  Speaker 2: can go out there with your machete if you want

  Speaker 2: to talking about cutting new trails. You think the road

  Speaker 2: to success is under construction, take the other route and

  Speaker 2: get that machete out and see how long you be

  Speaker 2: out there trying to cut a path. Sometimes, man, you

  Speaker 2: just got to stay patient. Road to success has been

  Speaker 2: traveled before by millions of people in front of you,

  Speaker 2: everybody that has some setbacks in life. But don't get

  Speaker 2: off the road to success just because you having some setbacks,

  Speaker 2: just because you see some orange barrels up, just because

  Speaker 2: there's some men out there with vest on what they

  Speaker 2: got to do with you? Everybody, everybody that's trying to

  Speaker 2: be successful, is on that road. Your relationship with God

  Speaker 2: helps you guide yourself around the barrels. It helps you

  Speaker 2: have the patience to go around that way. He gonna

  Speaker 2: get you back where you gotta be, But you got

  Speaker 2: to go out there so you can learn some things. See,

  Speaker 2: you need God to make it in life, because the

  Speaker 2: road to success is always under construction. He calms you

  Speaker 2: down when the barrels is up. He lets you know

  Speaker 2: it's gonna be all right. He rewards you with the

  Speaker 2: patience to finish because He gonna get you right back

  Speaker 2: where you need to be and you can get on

  Speaker 2: which way you is going.
