- 0:00I do want to talk about getting out of tabs. Have you ever tried
- 0:02to do this? Like you know, for example, I had a group
- 0:06that would go out to you in high school in this couple guy and a
- 0:09girl. Every time at the end of the meal, they'd pull a hair
- 0:13out of her head and put it in the dish stop and they would get
- 0:16a free meal. Oh that drives me crazy. I cannot stand when people
- 0:20try to do that, right, yes, no, no, no,
- 0:22nope. And I'm not going to sit here and throw stones because when I
- 0:25was younger, we used to do this thing, and full admission, this
- 0:28is theft, is what it is. But we would go into fast food
- 0:31restaurants during like a peak time and you just walk in the lobby. You
- 0:34go up to the counter and be like, hey, I just came through
- 0:36the drive through and you guys were missing, Like just name whatever you want.
- 0:39They would just because they're in a hurry, they would just give it
- 0:43to you. Yeah, I know. Kind of animal are you? Okay?
- 0:46You're the one that admitted just not a week ago that you had robbed
- 0:49that strip mall in Alexandria. Strip Mall. The Viking Plaza is a real
- 0:54legit mall and it was a chapstick. Okay, it's still like that.
- 0:58I did the crime and I paid the So don't be throwing stones if you're
- 1:02in your little glasshouse. I'm just saying you need to do some time for
- 1:07your fast food heights. Hey, it could be worse. I could be
- 1:08this guy. I just read about a fifty year old due This dude's fifty.
- 1:11I was a kid, I mean, I was still learning. Somebody
- 1:14coming. This guy's fifty and he is literally now fit twenty times, gotten
- 1:21out of a meal, paying his tab by faking a heart attack twenty times,
- 1:27Amanda, Okay, he's admitting to this now, or he got busted.
- 1:30He finally got busted. His name is Atus, and what happened is
- 1:36he tried to do it at the same restaurant twice. Oh and they got
- 1:40on deak for more. Another heart attack, comebud. So they said,
- 1:44this guy go all out. I'm talking like white label whiskey bunch of food.
- 1:49And at the end of the meal he would start hunching over, pretending
- 1:52he's having a heart attack. He would end up on the ground. Really
- 1:56uh huh, yep, a real piece of work, Atus. So he's
- 2:00fine. Go a. So what kept happening is he would get in trouble
- 2:04and then they would just slap him on theirrist. Because it was such a
- 2:06small amount of money relative to you know, what an actual crime could be,
- 2:09I'd get it. Well. Eventually he did end up serving twenty two
- 2:13days behind bars, and so far, so good. Hopefully he's learned his
- 2:16lesson. But I mean, what a desperate loser. Yeah, no,
- 2:20that is a totally different level. But other than that, I don't I'm
- 2:23not a girl who is trying to get out of anything. I'll be annoyed
- 2:27if something didn't come out right or whatever. It's like, okay, hey,
- 2:30just so you know, but I'm not expecting you to do anything.
- 2:32Oh I wouldn't even say that. Like literally, how many times I've had
- 2:36the wrong thing come out and I'm just like, well, whatever, I'll
- 2:38eat it, you know what I mean? Or people sometimes, I guess
- 2:42it depends on the situation, don't you Like the worst type of people are
- 2:45the ones and I get if you order your stake a certain way, like
- 2:46that's how you want it. But there are people that are so so picky
- 2:50as if you get like you know, as if you got your meat thermometer
- 2:53and your purse, like, oh, this is medium medium, Well if
- 2:55as long as if I order, because typically it's medium rare, I get
- 3:00in it. It's a little medium fine, But if you're handing me a
- 3:02hockey puck, Mama is going to have a problem. Well yeah, i'd
- 3:06like to, you know, visibly see the pink. And I tend honestly
- 3:09at this point just because And it's nothing against all the restaurants in the FM
- 3:14area. No, that sounds like I like to just order things I know
- 3:16you can't mess up, like my expectations are at it. Hay, I'm
- 3:21going to order wings or I'm going to order this when I go out.
- 3:23And mainly it's not against the restaurants. It's just my husband is such a
- 3:27great cook, and it's so hard to go out and eat somebody else's cooking
- 3:31because he's just such a that's so annoying. You wan't to talking about how
- 3:35good looking he is. Now, don't and don't act like you don't try
- 3:38to get stuff for free. You know how many times I've heard you in
- 3:40this office on the phone. It's not food necessarily, but like with you
- 3:44know, your phone provider or your cable. Oh my god, you are
- 3:50like the worst Karen ever. I've heard you so many times, Amanda,
- 3:53where you're like yelling at these people insisting on speaking to their managers. I've
- 3:58heard this many times. You know that's that's right. You can turn you
- 4:00in these situations. You can in this break out. I don't even I
- 4:05don't even have time for customer service. You're this up when I remember you
- 4:11had time, Oh girl, had time with who? I specifically remember your
- 4:16phone provider one time? I mean you were berating. Is this when we
- 4:19were at the on the same phone plant? Probably was, Yeah, we
- 4:23once shared a family plan didn't end well. I would not recommend going in
- 4:27on a phone built with your coworkers and they're extended family. You like it
- 4:31A minute in the morning, Big nainety eight point seven time our favorite little
- 4:36hypothetical situation came. We go back and forth, we ask each other brutal
- 4:41hypothetical situations, and then we ask, what do you do? Who it's
- 4:46called? What do you do? Are you ready? Pike? Amanda?
- 4:47You're up first? Hit me? All right? So you wake up.
- 4:49You are just jacked. You're headed to Vegas. Life is good. You
- 4:54and the boys heading to see your faith Blink one eighty two. You get
- 4:58to Vegas, Pike, it's just wild. I mean, everything is going
- 5:01great. You're having a great time. Yeah, sure, you look at
- 5:04your phone. Not only did they cancel the festival that you're going to,
- 5:09which is on Sunday, the electricity goes out in all of Vegas, the
- 5:16entire town lights out, shut down. Nothing to do. It's Friday.
- 5:23Your flight's not till Monday, So Pike, nothing to do. Just you
- 5:30and the boys, just in a dark hotel room. Well, Amanda,
- 5:40we're going to find out how close the band is. All right? All
- 5:51right? Ok did you even say? What do you do? I did?
- 5:57I was? I was all charged because you're just being weird, all
- 6:00right, Amanda. Okay, you and Nick are stranded on an island after
- 6:04your pontoon got stuck in the mud. That's so good. Nobody around phones
- 6:11aren't working. It's the fourth day. You've run completely out of water that
- 6:15you packed in the cooler. You're dying of thirst. But then you realize
- 6:20suddenly that in the pontoon you happen to have a gallon jug that is sloppily
- 6:28labeled Pike's shower water, so Amanda, Oh god, I'm in the lake.
- 6:38You're on a deserted island, no one around. Like, the water's
- 6:42no good by the way, okay's saltwater. Oh it's salt water. Yeah,
- 6:45yeah, sorry, I should have thought that through. Yeah, No,
- 6:46you're good because lake water or pipe pike shower water. Now you don't
- 6:50know what what does that even mean? You know? Was it like a
- 6:54gallon that was collected from a shower I had taken recently? Is it good
- 7:00water that I just happened to label as a goof and put in your pontoon
- 7:04four days? Yeah? Yeah, you're about bone dry. You're about to
- 7:09go lights out, and I can't even produce my own saliva to keep it
- 7:12going. At this point, I'm gonna I'm gonna give it a taste.
- 7:15I'm gonna take a sip. Actually, gonna make my husband take a sip,
- 7:17and then I'll take a sip and see how it goes. Really,
- 7:20I'll take spike shower water. Oh thank you. If there was like a
- 7:24hair in there, Oh gosh, see, why do you gotta be so
- 7:28gross? You're the one drinking my shower water? Call me gross? I
- 7:31don't want to die. Yeah, got kids to raise. Geez. All
- 7:38right, okay, all right, you head up to the Parga Dome with
- 7:40your family for the Bison game. You go with your wife, your brother,
- 7:45and your sister and their families. You don't have any cash. It's
- 7:49time to buy a fifty to fifty raffle ticket. Oh, your sister says,
- 7:54well, I've got the cash. I'll get us six tickets because it's
- 7:56six adults. No big deal. How much is it total? Just wait,
- 8:00oh, it's in there. She gets the tickets, six tickets,
- 8:03she holds onto them. How is it to about two hundred thousand dollars?
- 8:09Oh? My god? Come sign for the dry Yeah, they call the
- 8:13numbers. Remember your sister paid for them. She was buying them for everybody.
- 8:18But she's holding onto the tickets, and she wins. She had all
- 8:22the tickets. She takes all the money, doesn't give you a cent,
- 8:31but you were kind of a part of it. But she takes all the
- 8:33money because it was her money and tickets. It's so bike boy, this
- 8:37one really running in circles. No, you don't get it. I'm trying
- 8:43to what do you do? Well? If I was getting in on it,
- 8:48all us buying. Let's say poll tabs together and we all threw twenty
- 8:52in. I don't care who pulls it or who's holding the ticket or splitting
- 8:56it. You didn't throw in the money. It was kind of like an
- 9:00she sent if I'm in, I'm in. If she says she's covering me,
- 9:03then I'm taking a part a sixth of that money. You got two
- 9:07kids and a dog at home, and it's just yeah, okay, well
- 9:13it sounds like the sixth of two hundred k or whatever will go great for
- 9:18the kids in the dock. Wow. Really Yeah? Now you got me
- 9:22mad at my sister and she doesn't even know what's going on. I guess
- 9:26I'm taking her to court. I mean, that's what I'm wondering, Like,
- 9:30how serious is it going to get? I don't just I don't come
- 9:33across a lot of opportunities to just willy nilly make whatever a sixth of two
- 9:37hundred k is. I think Judgejudy would say, hey, she spent the
- 9:39money, she had the tickets, therefore it's her money. No, it's
- 9:46saying I got you, I'll get the tickets. That constitutes a verbal agreement
- 9:50that we had entered into you don't know which ticket it would have been,
- 9:52that would have been. It's a pool. We're all agreeing to split it.
- 9:56She should have given me the physical ticket if it was mine. Anyway,
- 9:58you were just too busy, all right, just out of curiosity.
- 10:01Sorry, I'm sorry Danielle that your brother's now mad at you. Now going
- 10:05to a football game with her? All right, Amanda, final, what
- 10:07do you do? You're at a Britney Spears concert. Oh my gosh,
- 10:13a dream. It's her first show in years and it happens to be also
- 10:18at the Fargo Dome. Now you got VIP tickets, okay, your front
- 10:22row. She just played lucky. She came out and she's sounding great,
- 10:26not even lips singing, just belt in notes. Hesus stop, oh you
- 10:31even have it? My god? Sheesus stop and you're you're singing along right,
- 10:39You're just in the moment. She's got your thinking. This is just
- 10:43one. She's got so many hits lefts she hasn't done you know, stronger,
- 10:46Hit me baby one more time. Oh my gosh, oops, she
- 10:50did it again. You get a text, Your phone vibrates in your pocket.
- 10:54You pull it out quick. It's from your husband Nick, who's home
- 10:58with the kids. Turns out both of them, Sydney and Briggs, have
- 11:01both come down with the wicked case of the stomach flu. It's coming out
- 11:05of every end and it's a mess. Nick needs help now, like right
- 11:11now. Yep, so Amanda, she's so lucky. What do you do?
- 11:22Star? And I call my neighbors to go over and help. I'm
- 11:28alone in the duck to hit me baby one more time? Yeah, no,
- 11:33sorry, kids, you're gonna need sorry as well. Take a break.
- 11:39Really. Oh yeah, the neighbors are great. They'll go over every
- 11:43end. They love our kids. Oh my gosh, I know somebody called
- 11:50Child Detective Services taking a minua in the morning. Seven man, you sleep
- 11:56on the same side of the bed every single night. Absolutely, I'm a
- 11:58lunat. Well listen, there's something to it, Kate. Don't call me
- 12:01a lunatic quite yet, because I got actual research here called were actual research
- 12:07that you are a flip flopper. No I'm not, but I might be
- 12:09now because there's research that switching sides of the bed with your partner can actually
- 12:13spice up your relationship. Like you ever, just like a you know,
- 12:16you take the same way to work every day. You ever, just every
- 12:18once in a while just take a different route, just to like mix it
- 12:22up. You know what's really fun is when you're forced to when they shut
- 12:24the bridge down for a year by your house, so you only have one
- 12:26way to get out. It's not maddening or frustrating, but I sure miss
- 12:31fifty second avenue anyway. Okay, I guess I didn't mean to make it
- 12:35personal. But back to the bed thing. They say that switching sides of
- 12:39the bed has all sorts of benefits, like you know, not only what
- 12:43it represents, like you know, a willingness to compromise in your relationship.
- 12:46That's very important. No, it's my side. It can reinforce intimacy,
- 12:50right, I mean it's not my side. It signifies a level of trust
- 12:54and comfort between the two of you. Just knowing that doesn't matter what side
- 12:58of the bed you're on, that you can trust your partner. It means
- 13:01the world. Well, no, my husband clearly must really trust me because
- 13:05I'm closest to the door in case a bad guy comes in. He just
- 13:09put me out, just hanging me out to dry. Really, yeah,
- 13:13because that's why, uh, and I've said this. In fact, I
- 13:15think you stole that from me because I'm closest to the door in the event
- 13:18of an emotion. So well, this for you, this is what that's
- 13:20what I'm going to do. For years and years have talked about the fact
- 13:22that the person closest to the door is the one who's supposed to be protecting
- 13:26the family. And I told you that I've always not because I have to
- 13:31be closest to the bathroom because I wake up early, much like you,
- 13:35because we do the same program. Maybe you should just sleep on the floor,
- 13:41it says, and this is not just a random article, this is
- 13:45an actual expert saying that switching sides of the bed can spice things up.
- 13:48It says, if you're stuck in a rut, you can reignite this part
- 13:52with your romance by breaking your usual sleep routine and trying a new position in
- 13:56bed. Literally has in like you're position in the bed right, because I'd
- 14:01be on the right side instead of the left. That said probably something there
- 14:05to it as well. I'm going to record it tonight. Oh yeah,
- 14:09just throw a goldpro at the end of on your headboard and just send me
- 14:13the raw file on Monday. Record you know, my husband, I just
- 14:18want to see what would happen if I I curled up on it side of
- 14:24the bed. I am not kidding you. I think you would just walk
- 14:26in and be like, what are you doing? Are you insane? You
- 14:31ever? Like if you go if you're in a hotel though or something,
- 14:35do you still sleep on the same side or do you? I mean,
- 14:37that's a free for all things. You're not in your bed. But my
- 14:39bed is my bed. I have my own night stand, I have my
- 14:43own things, my charger. But you know, listen, I've been complaining
- 14:46about a sore neck. I've had a stiff neck for months. But it's
- 14:50because I sleep on the same side and then I sleep on this my same
- 14:54side, and because I like to face out on the bed, you know,
- 14:56so I don't breathe my morning breath on my wife. So if we
- 15:00switch sides, it could even out my neck pain. Good luck. I
- 15:03don't know. I'm just not ready for it. I'm gonna spice things up
- 15:07another way. Yeah, like what name another way? I'll have to hit
- 15:11Google and see what they have got all sorts of options for you, Amanda
- 15:16in the morning on Big Ready, we'll see it piping hot today now Amanda
- 15:26Stills the Sea. Yeah, it's gonna be a while. Guys, we're
- 15:31still talking about Britney Spears book and it's not even out yet. At this
- 15:33point, do I not do I even need to get the audio version.
- 15:37I feel like we're getting all the deats in advance. Oh, I'm sure
- 15:39it's a ton of nuggets. How big is the book? I have no
- 15:43idea. Okay, I didn't would do the page count. I apologize it's
- 15:48going to be your average book, Pike. So information being released about it's
- 15:52the biggest book you ever read? I don't know. PI want to talk
- 15:56about this. I would like to talk about Britney Spears. You're so here's
- 16:00something today. You're just so something today. I'm just having fun. Tryby
- 16:04Luce. You want to know what the biggest book I ever read? Yeah,
- 16:07sure, Pike, Harry Potter four that thing was big? Did in
- 16:12like a week too? Anyway, go ahead, good job, way to
- 16:15go. I got the audio version of Britney's Fears book, and we are
- 16:19finding out. So she admitted that she cheated on Justin Timberlake. Well,
- 16:22now we have more details. So she kissed choreographer Wade Robson. Well,
- 16:27dating Justin Timberlake, but only because Justin had already cheated on her what I
- 16:33know. So he later broke up with Brittany via text message. She said
- 16:37she was devastated because everybody in America, the tabloids, everybody made it out
- 16:41to be that she broke the heart of America's golden boy when she was comatose
- 16:45and Louisiana just devastated by the situation and never really said anything about it until
- 16:51now. Well, see, now this changes everything. I'm just so back
- 16:53and forth on who the bad guy is in this situation. You know.
- 16:56It's like my head is like one of those Olympic ping pong players, you
- 16:59see, you know, the just going back and forth, back and forth,
- 17:00because first I thought, Okay, well she cheated on him, and
- 17:03I assumed, you know, when you hear cheating, it's like they probably.
- 17:07But now they just kissed. Yeah. And by the way, she
- 17:11went on to say that he was just happily running around Hollywood while she was
- 17:15in Louisiana just heartbroken. She also admits that she has never done hard drugs.
- 17:18She did say she took adderall, which made her feel very high,
- 17:22but it just gave her a few hours of feeling less depressed. She talked
- 17:26about the Free Britney movement and how she was locked up in a rehab facility
- 17:30in twenty eighteen when she found out about it, and she said it was
- 17:33the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. All of my fans and all of
- 17:37these people just trying to support me. She's not going to be going out
- 17:40on a media to her for this. She really doesn't have to. I
- 17:41mean, people just want to hear her eye. I know. I feel
- 17:44like that wouldn't do her any favors. No, no, kind of leave
- 17:47her vulnerable. I mean, weren't there recently accusations like even that her kids
- 17:51were worried about her using meth, like that was the thing, right,
- 17:53Well, I think Kevin Fetterline had made an outlandish comment, but then he
- 17:57started backpedaling, saying, Oh, no, that's not what I meant.
- 18:02But I don't know. Oh, because meth certainly a hard drug, some
- 18:07may say one of the hardest. Yeah, about as hard as it gets.
- 18:10And she Hada Pigott Smith. She's on a press tour promoting her book,
- 18:14and she probably needs it because at this point I think everybody is so
- 18:17over it. We found out a couple of days ago. Even her kids,
- 18:21We're going, what are you doing? Mom? Like, why are
- 18:23you audishing about all of this? Oh? Yeah, well, yesterday we
- 18:26were talking about embarrassing you know, parents stories and your stepdad bringing your thongs
- 18:30out in front of the boys in high school prom thinking that it was flip
- 18:33flops. Yeah, that's one thing. But imagine you know, your mom
- 18:36going around on the media tour talking about how you know, she's basically how
- 18:40she wasn't I mean, yes, she loved Will Smith, but she has
- 18:42gone on record saying Tupac was her soulmate. That just feels icky, Like
- 18:48you got two kids with Will Smith? Isn't that your soulmate? Isn't that
- 18:52who you love? I don't know. I just who are you to say?
- 18:53Who's somebody else's soulmate? Is? You know Tupac arguably the greatest rapper
- 18:57of all time? Do you blame her? Well, you know who's standing
- 19:00by her side. Yesterday she was doing this media tour and all of a
- 19:04sudden, Will Smith, her husband, pops up with this nugget. Jade
- 19:11is the best friend I have ever had on this planet, and I am
- 19:17going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life.
- 19:25Now you can only heard the audio, but the video you can clearly
- 19:26see her behind him with a gun in his back. Who's gonna say he's
- 19:30either as like a shot callar and it's like okay, here you go,
- 19:33heel boy, or he just loved her. Maybe we're misunderstanding this whole thing.
- 19:37Maybe that's just it. Maybe we were wrong after all. Probably card
- 19:44is Traylor all just a big old PR stunt. You're wrong, that's not
- 19:48the case. Friend's close to Taylor Swift says she's falling in love with Travis
- 19:51Kelsey. More than a month after they went public with their romance. She's
- 19:55blown away. Her family is all about Travis. She's trying to keep it
- 19:59together, but obviously he's falling for him. He's falling for her. He
- 20:02courted her in a different way. Those close to her say. Most people
- 20:04are like, I, you're hot, let's hang out whatever, And usually
- 20:10that's how people always used to try to date me too, you're hot,
- 20:14let's go. He actually courted her. She says she feels like she is
- 20:17the luckiest girl in the whole world right now, and her parents fully support
- 20:22their relationship because it's somebody who wants to keep her safe and truly loves her
- 20:25for who she is and wants to be out with her. So many times
- 20:27people are either out with her for the wrong reasons and it just feels like
- 20:30this isn't the case. Yeah, listen, I'm like everybody else. I'm
- 20:33bit I got the bug. I'm like excited about these two. I'm dying
- 20:37to see how it ends. I think it's going to end with them holding
- 20:41hands in a nursing home. Yes, this is going to be your pro
- 20:48like in a minute in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven. Well
- 20:52man, do the honors of saying it with me. Wab bam, thank
- 20:56you Sam. The voice of your endsu bye and Sam Niederman hanging out with
- 21:00us every Friday next to our friends over at Gateway Chevrolet. How you doing,
- 21:03Sam, I'm good, Amanda Pike, good to see you. Guys.
- 21:07Always appreciate you having me good to see If you like when we say
- 21:10wham bam, thank you Sam, it's my favorite part. I mean every
- 21:12time. It gets me every time. The way the creativity, enthusiastic creativity
- 21:18of the way at all rhymes. So guy, just greased up, saying
- 21:21it, well, how you doing, because I know it's a tough week
- 21:23to be talking to you after last week's debacle and Grand Forks one at the
- 21:27debacle bacle and Grand Forks. Yeah it happened. It was tough. It
- 21:32was a debacle, Yeah, tough one for the Bison. Forty nine twenty
- 21:36four just didn't play well. I mean they just got beat. If it's
- 21:38a big time loss, yes, but they did a kind of regroup.
- 21:41It sounds like the senior is the upper class. They all got together with
- 21:45the youngsters and even just them, and they just got together and decided,
- 21:48you know what, we need to have a meeting. We need to talk
- 21:52about this and move forward. Because sometimes when you have a really big loss
- 21:55like that, it makes the team a little bit closer, and then it
- 21:57makes you realize, you know what, we got up our game a little
- 22:00bit. Yeah that's so deep aman that she can tell she's been in a
- 22:03lot of football games. Yeah. Well usually I was a captain of the
- 22:07cheerleading game at morgana Deer Creek High School. She host a couple of players
- 22:12only meetings of her own, really rally the truth, and sometimes the boys
- 22:18would be down on their luck and we would just the posters the inspiration they
- 22:22you know, we'd be like, gosh, you know, we just need
- 22:23a good vibe. So these social media people all up in arms about the
- 22:27Bison. We need to get some nice posters out there and just really get
- 22:32a good vibe going for the boys. Yeah, no, I think I
- 22:37think that's it. That's it right there, the magic formula. Yeah,
- 22:41maggots would be the turning point. All right. In all seriousness, we've
- 22:44got a big game. It is home. Our next two games are home.
- 22:47We need the wins. Where are we at with Western Illinois? Western
- 22:49Illinois is on hard times. Yeah, they've lost nineteen in a row.
- 22:53Okay, good nineteen loss in a row. Yeah, Loserville, Yeah,
- 22:57the longest loser streak and Division I football right now. If we lose them,
- 23:03we're gonna need billboards instead of just poster yesh. If we lose Amanda
- 23:08that it's not gonna be good for any of us involved. But yeah,
- 23:12no, it's a good opportunity for the Bison to focus on themselves, get
- 23:17right and hopefully get a crowd out in the Faroodome. Stick with the team,
- 23:21support them, because we've got a lot of ball left to play.
- 23:22A nice incentive, by the way, I don't know, Pike, if
- 23:26you have been following along with the teammakers fifty to fifty jackpot, oh yeah,
- 23:29oh yeah. An incentive to go to the game tomorrow is one,
- 23:36come on, Amanda, twenty seven dollars. Holy cow, that'll buy you.
- 23:45We'll name a thing I don't know boats. Yeah, well that thing
- 23:49is going to keep growing too, because apparently the rumor is is going to
- 23:52get over two hundred grand because people are pulling together money and getting into tomorrow's
- 23:57game. Yeah, for tomorrow's games. So he's going to be counting the
- 24:00new games. Yeah I suppose yeah, Okay, you gotta be at the
- 24:03game to win. Yeah. Crazy. So the biggest game we have so
- 24:07Western Illinois, we're hopefully just shocking that up as a win. Then we
- 24:11have Murray State, where that is that kind of a talking another win.
- 24:15Okay, No, I'm just preparing, like if we can just mentally get
- 24:18it together because the jack Rabbits that is happening. We're going to three weeks.
- 24:21Talk about looking ahead. This is a team that just got blown out
- 24:23in Grand Forest and we're looking three weeks ahead of them. Yeah. I
- 24:26know the players are looking at it, but we can look ahead. That's
- 24:30what that's the game at a time. I apologize. I'll make a new
- 24:33poster one game at a time ahead. But what twenty twenty five, where
- 24:37do you see this team? Yeah? Twenty twenty five? Yeah? All
- 24:41right, Well, Sam, thank you so much for stopping by. Good
- 24:45luck this weekend, and we appreciate you as always. Absolutely, guys,
- 24:48I appreciate you in having me go buys them. You want to say it
- 24:51with us once, Let's do it. Wam bam, Thank you, Sam,
- 24:56go buys it. Bike it a minute in the morning. Come on,
- 24:59get up on Big ninety eighty seven. Now here's what you need to
- 25:03know. Well, it was really scary in downtown Fargo yesterday. A pressure
- 25:07cooker was left on the corner of Main Avenue and Broadway, and they had
- 25:11to issue a shelter in place for a lot of downtown Fargo businesses to make
- 25:15sure that it wasn't a bomb. Thankfully, about an hour into it,
- 25:18the Fargo Police and the Red River Valley Bomb Team determined that it was not
- 25:21an explosive device. They're still trying to investigate how it got there. But
- 25:23what you holding about it is concerning you. I hope it's a misunderstanding and
- 25:26nobody was trying to, you know, cause fear. But you got to
- 25:30thank the officers who just took every precaution to keep everyone safe and thankfully worked
- 25:34out absolutely, because it's not very often people are just cruising through downtown with
- 25:38a pressure cooker. Well, it looks like an instapot. Yeah, I
- 25:41know, pressure cooker sounds exciting, but it looked like to me an instapot.
- 25:45I mean, Instapot's the cool way to say it. Now, pressure
- 25:48cookers have been around for a long time. Pike, Well, we like
- 25:51to make rice and eggs in there. Yeah, we need fun fact,
- 25:56everybody. Can we go back and edit the last part of fun fact.
- 26:00If you guys were wondering what Pike's using with his pressure cooker, eggs and
- 26:03rice, do you have the same rice? Oh? Okay, that's different.
- 26:07Interesting, Yeah, got it. Now you've got me interested in making
- 26:11them at the same time, because that would be a nice fried rice.
- 26:14Oh it's so good. If you do that and then add some mixed veggie
- 26:17putting salons soy sauce in there, you're onto something. Call me old Hibachi.
- 26:22The hashtag dimple maker had about sixty one million views on TikTok, and
- 26:26people are buying out this product on sites like ex Etsy. So the dimple
- 26:33makers can press the skin to create a dimple. Doctors are going, guys,
- 26:37stop doing that because these devices can cause some severe scarring chronic pain.
- 26:42Just not an ideal situation. If God didn't give you dimples, you probably
- 26:47don't need to create them, let alone buy him off of Etsy. Yeah,
- 26:51the very least. Don't buy your medical stuff off of Etsy. Great
- 26:53for like picture frames and other very signs, but yeah, to lead the
- 26:59medical stuff too. Right. Gosh, And if you're a fan of the
- 27:03Office and you've been thinking, ooh, is there really something coming? Are
- 27:07they going to do a revival of it? Well, Greg Daniels, he's
- 27:10the showrunner. He was asked about it yesterday and he says, well,
- 27:11I think that it's very speculative. He wasn't denying the possibility. He basically
- 27:15said, you know, everybody put this information out there. It was great
- 27:18to see that all the fans still care about it. The thing is,
- 27:22and that I would say is when there's something to announce, we'll definitely announce
- 27:26it. Well, he said, I'll announce it. Yeah, kind of
- 27:29like oh like he's a showrunner a little bit. Yeah, if you're gonna
- 27:33hear an announcement, it's good compan me. Well, we're all waiting to
- 27:37hear what Greg Daniels has to say. Maybe nothing at all. All eyes
- 27:41on Greg weatherise today it is going to be beautiful sunshine. I have about
- 27:45seventy perfect weather. Join us out at bra Code, so you know Barcode.
- 27:49We're calling it Barro Code for one day only, four until six o'clock.
- 27:53It's going to be a blast. Duller ninety eight cent Mick Ultras.
- 27:56They've got great food over there, other great drink specials, and we have
- 28:00a slew of prizes including Jonahs Brothers tickets Forrest Buyson tickets to give away every
- 28:04fifteen minutes. And of course it's all for a great cause. So much
- 28:07like Greg, if you're gonna hear an announcement in regards to the Big Birthday
- 28:11Board, it's gonna come from me. Okay for us. Sorry, but
- 28:15we just announced at seven am that we have a new Big Birthday Board.
- 28:18Sorry, that was a stretch. I was gonna do it right away and
- 28:18then you kind of went off and did that whole thing. Well, I
- 28:21wanted everybody to know about Brian too. I want them to know that too.
- 28:23But we also have a big birthday board coming up Monday at seven eleven.
- 28:26All right, as that's enough. Anything else you want to promote,
- 28:30Gracie, you got anything, come over, it ain't coming out. Bike
- 28:33an in the morning, big naety eight point seven. Gosh, look who's
- 28:36here? Further Ado our eight twenty one guest every Friday. Here, I'm
- 28:41piking a man in the morning entrance please, gentlemen, I'm happy. Harry's
- 28:45Dustin. Hi Dustin. Hey, guys, you didn't hear it, but
- 28:48we had a big timpany roll going. Yes, thrilling? Is that?
- 28:52Is that the first iteration of the nude? We were just trying some stuff
- 28:55out, you know, throwing it against the wall. Let's do a sticks.
- 28:56Well, Pike is going to Vegas this weekend with his bag, so
- 29:00maybe on the way there, you guys could write up a little diddy,
- 29:03a little yeah you see it like a diddy for Dustin d dog A little
- 29:07diddy that'd be kind of cute. Starts with the same letter, but no
- 29:11doubt it'd be like a one it'd be like a one thirty am jingle or
- 29:14something like. You guys are like, I Dustin, I don't know,
- 29:17man, like with this schedule now this like I get tired real early.
- 29:19I don't know if I can do anything. Maybe it's like a five am
- 29:22early kind of thing. Maybe just up and at You're like you have this
- 29:26little beat in your head and you're like, I got it. Start shaking
- 29:30everybody away. Definite me, I'll appreciate this. So he's going for a
- 29:33festival. His band uh loves Blank one eighty two, so they're going for
- 29:36that, not playing the festival. To be clear, some people can get
- 29:40the inspiration, of course, yeah, always. But he says he's not
- 29:42gambling at all, while he's in vague not gun a man that doesn't believe
- 29:47me. I want to bet herd that I'm not going to gamble, But
- 29:48then that would be in a way gambling. He said that. He said,
- 29:52and I quote, I mean, what if I just put like five
- 29:55bucks on him? Like I keep trying to reason. I'm like, well
- 29:56I could do, you know a little bit, but I think I'm just
- 30:00better off. Not the last semos in Vegas. I give myself a fifty
- 30:03dollars limit. Yeah, and I did it on the five dollars Wheel of
- 30:06Fortune. The people love that game. Yeah, I've actually won on that
- 30:10one. Yeah, I've. When I was younger, I did very poorly
- 30:14gambling because I have the attention to spend with a four year old. So
- 30:15like to mee like they want to play poker for like seven hours. I
- 30:19want to play poker for like seven minutes, like I want to crush it
- 30:22and be done. Yeah, and that's not good. If you want a
- 30:23game to lose your money really fast, let me tell you about blackjack.
- 30:27That's the way. That's the way to do it. You can win money
- 30:30really fast, but you can lose it really fast again. So then then
- 30:33yet then I always feel a pressure, like if if I split something and
- 30:36the other end to me, like, what are you doing with that front?
- 30:38Have you ever played pig poker? No, I've seen it though,
- 30:41But so my I'll digress for a second digress. When I first trip to
- 30:45Vegas, my brother in law was working on in Vegas. He was in
- 30:48I can't uh, I can't remember though the casino. I know he's a
- 30:52dealer there. Oh, so he took us to the Orleans, which was
- 30:56kind of downtown. Yeah, kind of like that. The people, the
- 30:59people that theirs place to go right at it. And so he's like,
- 31:02we're gonna play pieg Goull poker. What is it. He's like, it's
- 31:04great. We can instruct each other, you can ask the dealer for help.
- 31:07You really can't lose. So we go and play pig sounds like a
- 31:10win, Yeah, I was like perfect. So we played for a few
- 31:12hours and we win a few hundred bucks. I'm like, this is great.
- 31:15Two nights later, we're all assembling together. We're at mandally Bab where
- 31:19we're staying, and uh, we're playing Piegall poker and we're up, you
- 31:25know, five six hundred bucks each. We my other brother in law's there
- 31:27as well, and they close the table at eleven. We're like, come
- 31:30on and they're like, well, well, well, grandfather, you're minimum
- 31:33bed into the high stakes room. Nice. We're like so rolling in the
- 31:37high stakes room and it's just us three and we're crushing us. We're up.
- 31:41I mean, I'm like twenty four years old, Like we're up big
- 31:45time, and I'm like this is awesome. I'm going to be rich.
- 31:48Yell guy, and this guy pulls in with a pile of chips legitimate high
- 31:52roll or not like us, and he starts because you can bet on other
- 31:56people's hands, so he starts betting on ours. Well, we're having cocktails.
- 32:00It's like twelve thirty, you know, stuff goes south. He's winning
- 32:02us three not so much. So we go from having that good fortune.
- 32:07Yeah, well you're describing that's like the highest of highs in Vegas with your
- 32:10buds. That's so fun. But then now you're about to Then we start
- 32:15losing and losing. Then we're hitting the atm, coming back in with cash.
- 32:17We go to the atm again, come back in with cash. Sound
- 32:20like it ends, Well it doesn't. I mean we're like, hey,
- 32:22can you put the sign and no min will bet. Then the guy leaves,
- 32:25right, well, we can't recover. So at the very end,
- 32:28my brother in law goes, you know, can we get something and the
- 32:32guy's like, oh, buy your breakfast. It's like five o'clock in the
- 32:35morning. Well that was nice of him to get you a free before Well
- 32:38anyhow, that was the last time I ever gambled in any level of series.
- 32:44Really, I was like, this is not right, because then you're
- 32:46having so much fun. But then now you're done, you've lost all the
- 32:49money, you're mad, and then now you gotta go. Oh your wife
- 32:51had tickets to a show. It's like now I'm like the whole time,
- 32:53we gotta get we gotta check out of the hotel and stay at Motel six
- 32:57now. But hoping your card works. I know so anyway that I've had
- 33:00too many. I've had a lot of fun gambling there, but too many.
- 33:02It just like takes over the weekend the money you would spend on gambling.
- 33:06Go enjoy food. They have some of the great restaurants, and a
- 33:09couple of drinks probably within reason, within reason, Sure, there you go
- 33:14anyway, drinks. I know what I'm going to be diving into. The
- 33:16weather's going to be good like tonight, just going home and being able to
- 33:20have like an outdoor little fire, comfortable all of it. What do we
- 33:22got? We got some fun beers here to start with. First one is
- 33:25Jackpine. This is their bonfire more stout, so it's gonna have a little
- 33:30hands and gram crackers. I love Jackpine Brewery. I just think everything that
- 33:32they have that you've brought in that I've tried. It's really good. It's
- 33:37good. It's not over the top, it's just balanced and tasty. I
- 33:39did just get introduced to them. You brought in their Octoberfest. Yeah,
- 33:43and there, and that was very good. So where is Jackpine? I
- 33:45don't even know? Isn't it? Is it Midget? It's in Baxter Baxter
- 33:50brainerd Baster you know nice? Okay, that's great. Next one is Toppling
- 33:54Goliath. No, this might be the dumbest name I've ever heard for a
- 33:58beer, and this is no offensive topic of life. They make great beers,
- 34:00but the name of this beer is This meeting could have been an email.
- 34:05I love it. I'm just like you, Amanda. I know this
- 34:09is a sensitive subject. Well, I mean, first of all, Amanda
- 34:14sends more emails, and you know, I have to keep these boys in
- 34:16line, so I have no one who sends the meeting request the details.
- 34:22Otherwise they wouldn't know. He'd be like, oh, Dustin here to yeah
- 34:25right again, what's going on? But then also when you get a meeting
- 34:29Dustin, you know, it's like she'll just get going and the meeting's almost
- 34:31over and everyone's kind of like close their notebooks and ready to roll there.
- 34:36Suddenly there's another question or another you know, tirade of just information. So
- 34:40anyway, it's we give her a hard time, but no one was like
- 34:44they made a beer for me down in de Cora, Iowa. This is
- 34:46a this is a double I pa. So this is a big big boy
- 34:50here. Yeah, this is a lot of hops. Yeah, this is
- 34:52not a toe in the water when this is all in nice so fun beer
- 34:55here. And then out of four call ins we have the Odell who And
- 34:59this is our big sipping Imperior Imperial sour ale, which is a really weird
- 35:04combo and they call it fruity tart and big, which I love big sipping
- 35:09Baker. Imperial ales are massive and sours are obviously cart and so this is
- 35:17for sure one. Yeah, this is actually I was actually pretty excited this.
- 35:24You actually walked in giddy like a little a little giddy up in your
- 35:28step and you're like, hey, guys, it's whiskey day. These are
- 35:30flavored whiskeys have just been kind of on fire, and there's been some really
- 35:35crazy combinations. This is two of the three of these are probably the craziest
- 35:38combinations I've seen. The first one's called dirty monkey. This is their banana
- 35:45peanut butter whiskey. All right, guys, he gave us a little sample.
- 35:47I'm excited because I love banana and banana and peanut butter, like that's
- 35:52what we make for the kids all the time. Like that is just a
- 35:53good go to and I love dirty monkeys. So this so smell it and
- 35:58then taste it. Smell and this one here is you guys are experiencing it.
- 36:02The flavors kind of flipped, but they did such a great job with
- 36:06it because you think it's gonna be wondering, but I feel like it's just
- 36:07sweet banana and then it's not. Then you get the chocolate. Yep,
- 36:10you're right. It does take you on a little bit of a journey what
- 36:14you used to tell us, like when we do samples, like the way
- 36:16it goes like it's your tongue and the taste. But this one's giving all
- 36:20the feel and I haven't eaten today. I know a man already housed Chick
- 36:22fil A, but personally my palate is collapsed. So it was really fun
- 36:28than Spike for throwing me under the bottle. Well maybe she sent you an
- 36:30email if you wanted someone and you didn't kill me out box. Okay,
- 36:35So this is the brand is Dirty Monkey yep in the and it's banana peanut
- 36:38butter whiskey. This is and I'm not a whiskey. This is amazing.
- 36:43Yeah. The bonfire oh so good. All right, So that's that one.
- 36:46The next one is Elvis Midnight Snack and it's peanut butter. It's peanut
- 36:52butter, banana and bacon flavored whiskey. Why is that Elvis? Did he
- 36:57eat a lot of bacons? He used to have the he used to have
- 36:59the grill peanut butter banana sandwiches. Oh no way, yeah, that was
- 37:02They just added the bacon. Yeah, I mean maybe he had a bacon.
- 37:06At one point. I thought it was just peanut butter and banana because
- 37:07I used to do those when I was a kid. Oh those are good.
- 37:10This is this is the nana is prominent. There's bacon. Okay,
- 37:15that's kind of fun. I was expecting it to be, I don't know,
- 37:17greasy, like bacon greasy. This is pretty pretty good. I like
- 37:22it. Yeah, banana hits you right away, and then the bacon.
- 37:23The kind of the grizzle from the bacon kind of creeps in I like it.
- 37:29I could do this like that brunch tomorrow. Sure. Do you like
- 37:31your bacon crispy or kind of fatty? Depends on what I'm using it for,
- 37:36Okay, I do like yeah, Like I've been on a BLT kick
- 37:39for quite a while. Now. I just just great bread, grape lettuce,
- 37:43great tomatoes, and great great bacon. You I get crispy or for
- 37:46that I do? But yeah, I'm so hungry. All right, we've
- 37:53got one more whiskey. So we just had you know, the main chorus.
- 37:58So this would be dessert. This is the Allatin that wasn't dessert?
- 38:01Well no, I mean this is kind of the This would be the most
- 38:05elegant of the three. This is the caramel Turtle from Balatin. This is
- 38:08their out of the chocolate whiskey line. Oh I love the smell. That
- 38:13could be a candle. Okay, that is going to be way more whiskey.
- 38:19But that's good, I do. That might be my favorite one.
- 38:22That is delicious. What's that one called again? That's from Balatin. This
- 38:25is their caramel turtle. Caramel Turtle still my favorite? Dirty Monkey? Yeah,
- 38:30yeah, the monkey was the Dirty Monkeys. That's kind of one I
- 38:31think you're gonna go to Bison tailgate tomorrow. Kindness, sure, sip and
- 38:36pass a little bit. The dessert one would be great for the holidays.
- 38:38Don't want to get ahead of all. And when Wendy made some treats for
- 38:42Cooper and myself, she took some bananas and she put a little peanut butter
- 38:45and old chocolate, put them in the freezer, and then went for Cooper
- 38:46the dog, and then for Dustin the husband, and so over and she
- 38:51gets something to Cooper and he's just all excited and she goes there, she
- 38:53puts one in my mouth. I'm like what and she's like, yeah,
- 38:55I made you and Cooper treats well, thanks. When that's that's a boy.
- 39:00She didn't run my belly though, so there hate to uh throw We'll
- 39:08get to the wine here in a second. But that's my kid's new favorite.
- 39:12You just slice the banana and half like a banana split ye, put
- 39:14the peanut butter, little chocolate coconut, and then they put the little ants
- 39:16on the log with whatever kind of raisins. No, oh, thank god,
- 39:22don't ruin it. Now have a sweet treat one or a little honey
- 39:23on it. It's so good. I'm anti raisin. Sorry if you like
- 39:27raisins, I know, I like literally anything ever exceptis well. I could
- 39:31be talked into crasies. I don't know if I've had them, but goshbery
- 39:36version right right, right, probably better. Penny Wine Sail is going to
- 39:38be starting on November second, and you're already bringing in some wines. I
- 39:42am bringing this some wines. These actually just landed here in the last week.
- 39:45This is a Borgliss Champs chardonnay and from France. Really pretty. When
- 39:52you have French Charenai's, they're not these big oak bombs you get sometimes from
- 39:54California. You get nice to citity, very balanced, great food wines.
- 39:59The peanut was very delicate, very soft, great with lamb or ham or
- 40:01just sipping on. Just not big styles, just you know, very balanced.
- 40:06That's what you get from a lot of the European wines and the European
- 40:08beers for that matter. Is there just not over the top styles or just
- 40:13layers of flavor, but nothing's over the top, all right, yep.
- 40:16And then the last I don't our last wine is the Harry and Claire,
- 40:20the Russian ever Pin and AA. This one's just a nice juicy Russian ever
- 40:23Pinot rush another one I liked to always have, Like a bonfire. I
- 40:27don't know, It's just an easy drink gable and sometimes with peanu as you
- 40:30can get like a little hint of cedar whatever else, and the smells of
- 40:35the bonfire and the taste of the wine. Almost he could just make everything
- 40:38experience. It's just all working together, right, that's right. Maybe you
- 40:43could. You could be eating bacon, sipping on some peana and noa and
- 40:46then passing around the team doctor, the Dirty Monkey and everything. The next
- 40:51morning, you're just like that was just magical. You felt it? Oh
- 40:52yeah, all the senses covered. Except he's gonna be in Vegas. I'm
- 40:57going to experience whatever concoction you just brought into There you go, I would
- 41:00like, I mean, yeah, a nice cocktail somewhere would be. You
- 41:01have any recommendations in Vegas for for a long time, really, I don't
- 41:07have a recommendation. You can go to you can go to Mandeley Bay,
- 41:09you can go to Ariels. They have the three story wine thing with the
- 41:13pixie. Let's be honest. He's asking you, but this man is going
- 41:16to be at every buffet in town for three. That's my favorite thing.
- 41:20But no, we do have Resi's at Mandalay Bay's Foundation Room tonight. Oh
- 41:23yeah, yeah, that's nice. I mean, I think cool, it'd
- 41:27be fair. Yeah, So I got to fill my time with something.
- 41:29I mean, the last time I was I mean, honestly, I haven't
- 41:31been in Vegas for over a decade and the last recognition I had for you
- 41:36was when you guys at the Ghost Bar. Yes, and remember how that
- 41:38went down. He got kicked out. Yeah, I'm not proud he was.
- 41:45He was a younger Pike back then. As I told the bouncer that
- 41:47night, it's not that I'm not drunk, it's just my stomachs a little.
- 41:51It was it was probably it was. It was probably somebody else's fault
- 41:53anyway, So of course hanging around here it was a really bad influence on
- 41:59him. We appreciated it either way. It was happening. Thank you.
- 42:04Have a good weekend. What you got planned? Big plants, still a
- 42:07little chilling, chilling, little guard work, I don't know, maybe a
- 42:08little dirty monkey. I never know.
