- 0:00Speaker 1: Happy Holidays and Happy twenty twenty four from iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I'm Ashley Ike and Eddie of the Almost Famous podcast,
- 0:09Speaker 2: and my resolution, I feel like might be weird, but
- 0:12Speaker 2: it also could be relatable.
- 0:14Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I want to feel less guilty about moments of rest.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Sometimes I feel like whenever I get to just take
- 0:20Speaker 2: a breather, I shouldn't be that. I should just be
- 0:25Speaker 2: constantly productive, And I always feel guilty if I have
- 0:29Speaker 2: my son watch a little TV so I can just
- 0:32Speaker 2: snuggle with him. And then it's just like, those moments
- 0:36Speaker 2: are fine, they're great, they're needed, and you shouldn't feel
- 0:41Speaker 2: guilty about them. You don't always have to be go.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Go go.
- 0:45Speaker 5: I'm Ben Higgins from The Almost Famous podcast. In my
- 0:48Speaker 5: New Year's resolution is to be in better shape both mentally, physically,
- 0:54Speaker 5: emotionally and spiritually in when I'm you know, thirty five
- 0:59Speaker 5: and twenty twenty than I've ever been in my life.
- 1:02Speaker 5: And I'm taking action on doing this. There are some
- 1:05Speaker 5: boundaries and some things in my life that I'm working towards.
- 1:09Speaker 5: I think it's going to help me be a better husband,
- 1:12Speaker 5: maybe potentially one day a better father, but also just
- 1:16Speaker 5: a better human for the people around me.
- 1:20Speaker 6: Hi friends, Happy New Year. My name is Sophia Bush.
- 1:23Speaker 6: And my New Year's resolution this year, oh boy, it
- 1:28Speaker 6: might be more of an intention. This year, I really
- 1:34Speaker 6: had to learn to take care of my health. I
- 1:36Speaker 6: think a lot of us have gone through that over
- 1:38Speaker 6: the last couple of years dealing with this global pandemic,
- 1:42Speaker 6: and I had to learn to rest and recuperate in
- 1:47Speaker 6: a way that I never have before. And interestingly, as
- 1:51Speaker 6: that lesson has come full circle for me, what I
- 1:54Speaker 6: really want to commit to in twenty twenty four is
- 1:58Speaker 6: taking care of myself better so that I can continue
- 2:01Speaker 6: to show up as an advocate for my community, because
- 2:05Speaker 6: I know that so many of us deserve better than
- 2:08Speaker 6: what we're getting in the world right now. We're fighting
- 2:11Speaker 6: back on a lot of policy that is doing community harm.
- 2:16Speaker 6: We're trying to live up to the democratic ideals of
- 2:21Speaker 6: this country, which is supposed to be equal for you
- 2:24Speaker 6: and me and everyone else. And I think for me,
- 2:29Speaker 6: the real intention of this year is to be both
- 2:33Speaker 6: gentle and ferocious with myself with my activism and in
- 2:39Speaker 6: the way that we can all stand shoulder to shoulder
- 2:41Speaker 6: to stand up for each other. I hope you are
- 2:45Speaker 6: finding your way to your intentions or resolutions, however you
- 2:50Speaker 6: like to classify them, and I wish you all a happy,
- 2:55Speaker 6: healthy and safe New Year, sending you love.
- 2:57Speaker 7: Hey everybody, I'm t J Holmes, I'm Amy Robots, and
- 3:01Speaker 7: we of course are from the Amy and TJ podcast,
- 3:05Speaker 7: and we are here now to talk about New Year's resolutions.
- 3:08Speaker 8: What do you got?
- 3:09Speaker 9: Mine are very simple after the year I've had, I
- 3:12Speaker 9: would like to stay in a beautiful relationship with you,
- 3:14Speaker 9: TJ and keep this amazing job.
- 3:18Speaker 5: And I.
- 3:21Speaker 3: We're down to the basics here.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 8: I don't really make New Year's resolutions, but I was
- 3:25Speaker 8: told by the iHeart team that I still needed to
- 3:26Speaker 8: record this with you, So here I am, and I
- 3:29Speaker 8: resolve in the new year to be nicer to the
- 3:33Speaker 8: iHeart team when they tell me I have to do stuff.
- 3:36Speaker 9: Hi, iHeart. It's Teddy Mellencamp and my news resolution is
- 3:40Speaker 9: I don't believe in resolutions. If you want to make
- 3:42Speaker 9: a lifestyle change, you have to do it for live.
- 3:45Speaker 9: It can't be something you're going to plan for the
- 3:47Speaker 9: first week of the year and then give up on.
- 3:49Speaker 9: So I think you want to make a resolution, you
- 3:52Speaker 9: got to make the resolution to change your life, and
- 3:54Speaker 9: it's one day at a time.
- 3:55Speaker 10: Hi, iHeart, I am tamer Judge. And my new Year's
- 3:58Speaker 10: resolution is I'm spend last time on my phone and
- 4:01Speaker 10: be more present.
- 4:02Speaker 11: She is also a liar.
- 4:04Speaker 6: No, I'm not.
- 4:05Speaker 10: I'm not a big resolution person because I feel like
- 4:08Speaker 10: you set yourself up for disappointment. Just live a good lifestyle.
- 4:11Speaker 10: But yeah, so that's you know, that's my I would
- 4:14Speaker 10: say it's my goal to spend less time on my
- 4:17Speaker 10: phone and be more present.
- 4:19Speaker 12: That's a good goal.
- 4:20Speaker 13: Hey, everybody, this is Brian Austin Green, Dona Badges and
- 4:23Speaker 13: Randy Spelling, and we are the hosts of the Oldest
- 4:26Speaker 13: Podcast and our new year's resolution. Mine is, Honestly, I
- 4:30Speaker 13: think mine is to just be as present as possible,
- 4:35Speaker 13: to really listen, to really appreciate life, and to be
- 4:38Speaker 13: present in every moment.
- 4:40Speaker 6: I love that.
- 4:40Speaker 4: That's a great one.
- 4:42Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 15: I'm usually not good with resolutions because I feel if
- 4:45Speaker 15: I've set myself a hordline or a bob and I
- 4:48Speaker 15: have to hit it and I end up rebelling against it.
- 4:50Speaker 13: How about an intention?
- 4:52Speaker 15: An intention is the way I love to look at
- 4:54Speaker 15: this and my intentions heading into twenty twenty four is
- 4:58Speaker 15: to live so with more of a feeling of abundance
- 5:02Speaker 15: and worthiness in everything that I do, and take more
- 5:05Speaker 15: risks and trust that I can do more.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Than I think.
- 5:08Speaker 13: That's great, Yes, absolutely right, right. So mine is to
- 5:14Speaker 13: infuse creativity and play into everything that I do, because
- 5:21Speaker 13: there are parts of twenty twenty three that just felt
- 5:25Speaker 13: heavier and serious, and while you know every moment can't
- 5:29Speaker 13: be play and laughter, I just noticed for myself that
- 5:33Speaker 13: the more creative I am, the more that I approach
- 5:36Speaker 13: a conversation or a task that I have to do
- 5:41Speaker 13: with creativity, I show up differently, I show up curious,
- 5:45Speaker 13: I show up open, and I see things that I
- 5:48Speaker 13: don't normally see. So I know that that will be
- 5:51Speaker 13: a win for me if I could do more of
- 5:52Speaker 13: that in twenty twenty four. That's so good.
- 5:54Speaker 12: Great intentions, that's so good.
- 5:57Speaker 13: So happy new Year to everyone. Yes, Happy new year everyone.
- 6:02Speaker 15: Yes, happy new year you guys. We hope you had
- 6:04Speaker 15: an amazing one and an amazing twenty twenty four.
- 6:07Speaker 12: Okay, Hi, my name is Eric Winter, and my new
- 6:09Speaker 12: Year's resolution I have a couple.
- 6:11Speaker 16: One is to I want to.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Improve my overall health.
- 6:14Speaker 6: I'm really like dedicated to try and figuring that out
- 6:19Speaker 6: and also spend more family time.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Hi.
- 6:22Speaker 17: I'm Prosetting Sanchez, and my new year's resolution, similar to
- 6:26Speaker 17: my husband, is, I want to try to cut sugar
- 6:30Speaker 17: as much as I can. I want to be very healthy.
- 6:34Speaker 9: Hi.
- 6:34Speaker 11: I'm Shannon Doherty host that Let's Be Clear podcast.
- 6:37Speaker 18: My new Year's resolution is to absolutely live my best
- 6:43Speaker 18: life possible, to be healthy, to love, to embrace my friendships,
- 6:50Speaker 18: to save as many animals as I possibly can, and
- 6:54Speaker 18: to help further spreading the word about cancer, helping raise
- 6:59Speaker 18: money for research and just awareness in general. That's my
- 7:04Speaker 18: new year's resolution.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Hi.
- 7:06Speaker 19: I'm Scott Patterson from the I Am All In podcast
- 7:09Speaker 19: and my new year's resolution is to donate more time
- 7:13Speaker 19: and more money to my favorite causes. Happy New Year everyone,
- 7:18Speaker 19: and made the road rise up to meet you all
- 7:20Speaker 19: in twenty twenty four.
- 7:22Speaker 20: Hey guys, I'm Jackie, I'm Jen and we are two
- 7:25Speaker 20: Jersey Chase.
- 7:26Speaker 11: What's your new Year's resolution?
- 7:27Speaker 14: Jack?
- 7:28Speaker 20: Okay, my new year's resolution is to continue surrounding myself
- 7:33Speaker 20: with people who make me feel good and not surrounding
- 7:37Speaker 20: myself with people who don't make me feel good, and
- 7:40Speaker 20: you can read into that if you want. But just
- 7:44Speaker 20: want to be around people who bring me peace.
- 7:46Speaker 11: My new Year's resolution, when it's the same as it
- 7:48Speaker 11: was really last year, side of the shallow ones I have, well,
- 7:52Speaker 11: not really shallow, but exercise more and eat more healthy,
- 7:55Speaker 11: but is to not be such a people pleaser. And
- 7:59Speaker 11: you know, in terms of what we do, you're not
- 8:03Speaker 11: supposed to be right. You want to give your opinions,
- 8:05Speaker 11: and you want to give them in a way that
- 8:07Speaker 11: is strong, make no mistake about it. But not just
- 8:11Speaker 11: on the housewives. I mean, I just I feel like
- 8:14Speaker 11: I do sometimes tell people what they want to hear,
- 8:20Speaker 11: and it certainly doesn't make for a great housewife. I
- 8:22Speaker 11: don't want to be mean. I don't want to say
- 8:24Speaker 11: things in a way that is that is nasty and upsetting.
- 8:27Speaker 11: But I do feel like at times I just try
- 8:30Speaker 11: to keep the peace. And let's forget about do the
- 8:33Speaker 11: housewives for a moment, but in general, all right.
- 8:35Speaker 20: So jen's going to be a starter in twenty twenty four,
- 8:39Speaker 20: I can't wait for it all right? Then, then my
- 8:43Speaker 20: resolution is not going to vibe with yours, because I'm
- 8:46Speaker 20: gonna have to stay away from.
- 8:47Speaker 11: You I don't want to start. I do that like
- 8:49Speaker 11: be able to speak my mind in a way that
- 8:51Speaker 11: is respectful and authentic.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Okay, I like it, Yeah, I like it all right.
- 8:57Speaker 20: Thanks guys, Happy New Year, Thank you so much.
- 8:59Speaker 11: Happy New Year.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Hey everybody.
- 9:00Speaker 19: Chris Harrison here, hosts of the most dramatic podcast ever,
- 9:04Speaker 19: wishing you a very happy new year. The turning of
- 9:07Speaker 19: a page a new chapter. My new year's resolution in
- 9:12Speaker 19: twenty twenty four to drink even better wine, eat better food,
- 9:17Speaker 19: spend more time with the family. That is my resolution.
- 9:21Speaker 19: Sounds like a good year.
- 9:22Speaker 11: Hey.
- 9:23Speaker 21: This is Jenna Ashkwitz from and That's what You Really
- 9:25Speaker 21: Miss podcast, and my goals for twenty twenty four are
- 9:29Speaker 21: to read more, to have a little bit more patience
- 9:33Speaker 21: with myself, and to be really mindful with my time.
- 9:37Speaker 21: I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a
- 9:40Speaker 21: happy new year.
- 9:41Speaker 3: This is marisoul Patent from I Port Forward podcast, and
- 9:46Speaker 3: my new year's resolution this year is to be an
- 9:51Speaker 3: even more amazing wife than I already am.
- 9:57Speaker 6: Man God that so.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I love my husband so much, and he's so good
- 10:00Speaker 3: to me, and he's so kind, and I always feel
- 10:02Speaker 3: like I'm just not as good as he is. I
- 10:04Speaker 3: want to be as good as his. I want to
- 10:06Speaker 3: be better because he deserves better. So I got to
- 10:09Speaker 3: work on that. You know, he likes to go out
- 10:12Speaker 3: and I never want to go out. I can help
- 10:14Speaker 3: you with that going on. I know you go out
- 10:16Speaker 3: every night. Yeah, you can help me with that.
- 10:18Speaker 22: I make my husband very happy you do.
- 10:21Speaker 3: It's okay. What's your neighbor's resolution.
- 10:23Speaker 22: I'm Alexi Dapola with I Put Forward podcast, and my
- 10:28Speaker 22: New Year's resolution is, you know, to dedicate time to
- 10:32Speaker 22: my family and friends, because I feel like a lot
- 10:34Speaker 22: of times we get lost, you know, and you know
- 10:37Speaker 22: time goes so quickly and then you just wake up
- 10:40Speaker 22: and you're like, oh my god, I haven't seen her
- 10:41Speaker 22: talk to his friend in such a long time or
- 10:43Speaker 22: to a family member. So my personal things are really
- 10:46Speaker 22: about family and friends.
- 10:47Speaker 11: They're really never like about me, like oh, get on.
- 10:49Speaker 6: A diet or like weight.
- 10:51Speaker 3: You can do that anytime.
- 10:52Speaker 22: Run ten miles.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna jump you and tell you you're an amazing mother.
- 10:56Speaker 3: You spend all your time with your sons, you really do.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I don't know how you do everything and run the
- 11:02Speaker 3: salon and you make time for your friends too. You
- 11:05Speaker 3: call me all the time and talk and make sure
- 11:07Speaker 3: that we're connected. You're great at all of that. You
- 11:09Speaker 3: don't need to be any better than you are.
- 11:11Speaker 14: Thank you me.
- 11:12Speaker 3: You're a beautiful wife too.
- 11:14Speaker 22: You're so good to see me bring him so much
- 11:16Speaker 22: joy and happiness.
- 11:18Speaker 14: This is Rachel Levis from Rachel gos Rogue. My New
- 11:22Speaker 14: Year's resolution is to take everything I've learned this year
- 11:25Speaker 14: and apply it to become the best version of myself.
- 11:29Speaker 14: I will continue to focus on my mental well being
- 11:31Speaker 14: and work to destigmatize asking for help. I intend to
- 11:35Speaker 14: create an environment that allows me to live with integrity,
- 11:39Speaker 14: that inspires creativity, and provides a sense of serenity. I
- 11:44Speaker 14: will no longer enable others by harboring the secrets I've
- 11:47Speaker 14: been expected to keep.
- 11:49Speaker 12: I'm Daniel Fischel, I'm right or strong, and I'm Wilfredell
- 11:52Speaker 12: from Podmet's World.
- 11:53Speaker 23: Do you guys have any New Year's resolutions?
- 11:56Speaker 12: Such boring ones? They're just the most basic, like exercise more,
- 12:01Speaker 12: uh huh, drink less, don't overeat you know, like I'll
- 12:05Speaker 12: just like the regular ones. Yeah, I don't think I
- 12:08Speaker 12: ever have like a that interesting or unique of it.
- 12:11Speaker 12: And it's the same every year, right, It's always like basically, just.
- 12:13Speaker 19: Take better care, take better care of yourself.
- 12:15Speaker 12: Always it comes down to like, yeah, did I trash
- 12:18Speaker 12: my body in some capacity or didn't exercise enough.
- 12:21Speaker 16: That's essentially mine too, But I'm getting more specific with
- 12:25Speaker 16: it this year, like et no. For instance, in the
- 12:28Speaker 16: first six months of the year, I'm going to get
- 12:31Speaker 16: myself in the best shape I've ever been in my life.
- 12:33Speaker 5: That's that's a goal.
- 12:34Speaker 16: It's and it's going to be whether that means hiring
- 12:37Speaker 16: people to help me, getting a meal plan, whatever I
- 12:39Speaker 16: have to do to invest in myself the first six
- 12:42Speaker 16: months of the year, I'm going to So I've already
- 12:45Speaker 16: made that plan. I've already started to put that plan
- 12:47Speaker 16: into action. So hopefully that is and and all the
- 12:51Speaker 16: things you said go along with that. You know, I'm
- 12:53Speaker 16: gonna do dry January at least, and I'm hope I'm
- 12:56Speaker 16: gonna hope that actually extends to farther farther than that,
- 12:59Speaker 16: and yeah, so kind of the same stuff like that. Yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 16: and I want to get my superpower. But that's always
- 13:05Speaker 16: that's sure year, that's my every year thing. So this
- 13:08Speaker 16: could be the one.
- 13:10Speaker 5: I like it, Danielle.
- 13:12Speaker 23: I usually I don't really call them like resolutions. Of
- 13:15Speaker 23: course they are like going back, I had I found
- 13:18Speaker 23: my notes from like my twenty twenty goals. Okay, uh
- 13:23Speaker 23: my one of my twenty twenty goals was that our
- 13:25Speaker 23: podcast would be successful.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Ooh hey, and I like had things yeah, that.
- 13:33Speaker 12: Was when we were first talking about it.
- 13:34Speaker 23: First talking about it, I wrote, I just said podcast successful.
- 13:37Speaker 23: And then I had things like I wanted to release
- 13:40Speaker 23: five new be Free products. So those were some of
- 13:43Speaker 23: like my professional goals going into this next year. Last
- 13:49Speaker 23: year I was able to direct my first primetime TV show,
- 13:53Speaker 23: and last year one of my goals was to direct
- 13:56Speaker 23: for a channel other than Disney Channel, not because I
- 13:58Speaker 23: don't love Disney Channel, but because as I just wanted
- 14:01Speaker 23: to expand my direction. I was able to do that,
- 14:04Speaker 23: so that this year I want to do even more
- 14:07Speaker 23: of those. There's some be Free stuff that I want
- 14:10Speaker 23: to do. I would love to try and get be
- 14:12Speaker 23: Free into a store, so not you know, like a
- 14:16Speaker 23: brick and mortar store, so it's not just direct to
- 14:18Speaker 23: consumer and QVC. And then personally, my real number one
- 14:24Speaker 23: personal goal for twenty twenty four is for my marriage.
- 14:28Speaker 23: I finally feel like with Keaton being you know, two
- 14:32Speaker 23: and a half now he'll be three next year, I
- 14:35Speaker 23: feel very much like I've come out of the sort
- 14:38Speaker 23: of fog that the first two years of having two
- 14:41Speaker 23: kids had me in, which was very much like everything
- 14:45Speaker 23: revolved around all hands on children, all hands on, hands
- 14:49Speaker 23: on deck and Jensen and I just kind of looked
- 14:51Speaker 23: at each other and we were like, love you, We're
- 14:53Speaker 23: in this, but exactly our relationship is going to have
- 14:58Speaker 23: to go to the wayside for a little bit. And
- 15:00Speaker 23: now I feel like they're in. The kids are in
- 15:02Speaker 23: a really good place. They're really solid, We've got good
- 15:04Speaker 23: routines down, they're a little easier, and so this year
- 15:07Speaker 23: I want to make a priority to have just as
- 15:10Speaker 23: much of a focus on the health and wellness of
- 15:13Speaker 23: our marriage, and that involves having a date night, whether
- 15:15Speaker 23: that's night or day afternoon. Sure, I just want to
- 15:18Speaker 23: find more time for us to do things together. So
- 15:23Speaker 23: a focus on my marriage and professionally I've got I've
- 15:27Speaker 23: got all kinds of things that looking forward to. What
- 15:29Speaker 23: do we let's discuss a podcast full for this next year.
- 15:34Speaker 23: What do we think is that we've already talked about
- 15:36Speaker 23: that for twenty twenty four, we're toning down some of
- 15:38Speaker 23: the live shows.
- 15:40Speaker 16: Yep, there are just too many.
- 15:42Speaker 12: There were wonderful, we're them down. Toning them down sounds
- 15:46Speaker 12: like we're changing the tone of the show.
- 15:48Speaker 23: Where wing down the number we're doing less of them. Yeah,
- 15:52Speaker 23: and so what do we what are your what are
- 15:54Speaker 23: your podcast goals? What are your pod meets world goals
- 15:56Speaker 23: for twenty twenty four?
- 16:01Speaker 12: I mean, I always love the parts of the podcast
- 16:03Speaker 12: that I don't expect, you know, So I would say,
- 16:05Speaker 12: like I want I want to I would like to
- 16:09Speaker 12: move beyond just recapping or just interviewing and finding, you know,
- 16:13Speaker 12: like when we did the drafts, I thought that was
- 16:15Speaker 12: super fun and like reinvigorated. So I'd like to discover
- 16:18Speaker 12: something something new about this show or each other that
- 16:21Speaker 12: you know, we might not necessarily have in our minds
- 16:24Speaker 12: right now, that we haven't planned. I love the like,
- 16:27Speaker 12: the surprises are always the best part of doing this podcast.
- 16:29Speaker 12: So yeah, I love forger surprises. So being open to them,
- 16:33Speaker 12: I guess is a resolution, right right, opening new idea
- 16:36Speaker 12: and trying different things and like stretching a little bit.
- 16:39Speaker 23: Yeah, and instead of figuring out whether or not we
- 16:41Speaker 23: want to do it, because do we think it's going
- 16:42Speaker 23: to go over well, just being like, let's do it
- 16:44Speaker 23: and see what happens. Being accepting a failure in the
- 16:48Speaker 23: hopes of possibly finding gold.
- 16:49Speaker 11: I love that I'm going to take yours cool.
- 16:53Speaker 23: Happy New Year to both.
- 16:54Speaker 11: Happy be New Year.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Hey, it's Bethany Frankel from Just b and rewives New
- 16:59Speaker 4: Year Resolutions.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Now.
- 17:02Speaker 4: I never make New Year's resolutions. Last year I made
- 17:07Speaker 4: a resolution for the first time in a long time
- 17:09Speaker 4: that I would learn how to do my makeup. I
- 17:12Speaker 4: can't say it was necessarily just a New Year's resolution,
- 17:15Speaker 4: but it was something overall that I really wanted to achieve.
- 17:19Speaker 4: And as a result of me trying to do my
- 17:22Speaker 4: own makeup because I was watching makeup videos, I was
- 17:25Speaker 4: also like contemplating moving towards retiring in some fashion, like
- 17:30Speaker 4: really slowing down. And that's when I started doing just
- 17:34Speaker 4: wacky videos using stuff that was in my drawer that
- 17:37Speaker 4: I didn't understand or know what it was, or some
- 17:40Speaker 4: makeup artists left it and ended up comparing it to
- 17:44Speaker 4: drugstore stuff, and just was playing around. I barely knew
- 17:47Speaker 4: how to do I didn't know how to actually post
- 17:49Speaker 4: a post. I just looked on the phone and figured
- 17:52Speaker 4: out that you could just post a post it. I
- 17:55Speaker 4: still don't know how to edit one, or make something shorter,
- 17:58Speaker 4: or put the end of something in the I just
- 18:01Speaker 4: post it, And I don't know how to do any
- 18:04Speaker 4: other tricks or filters or gimmicks or stuff. I just
- 18:08Speaker 4: know how to post, which is probably why people complain
- 18:11Speaker 4: about my lighting and my posts or a train wreck.
- 18:15Speaker 4: So I guess having some version of a resolution did
- 18:19Speaker 4: lead to an entirely new chapter as an accidental influencer.
- 18:25Speaker 4: So when asked what my New Year's resolution is this year,
- 18:29Speaker 4: I struggle. In many ways. I've already started my New
- 18:33Speaker 4: Year's resolution because I've been stressed a bit lately and
- 18:39Speaker 4: noticed that the way I've been handling myself has been
- 18:42Speaker 4: a lot better, just being calm like, not getting activated
- 18:44Speaker 4: about it, and I observe my own behavior and commend
- 18:49Speaker 4: my behavior. I would also say to continue a journey
- 18:53Speaker 4: that I started somewhere maybe halfway through twenty twenty three,
- 18:57Speaker 4: with no resolution in mind, that not everything needed to
- 19:02Speaker 4: be said, and that it was easier and less stressful
- 19:05Speaker 4: and less activating to just not only find the positive,
- 19:10Speaker 4: but just ask questions about thought provoking topics in a
- 19:18Speaker 4: more positive way. That you get more bees with honey
- 19:21Speaker 4: than you do with vinegar, and that I have a
- 19:24Speaker 4: daughter who I'm a role model for, so I don't
- 19:27Speaker 4: want to get myself into drama unnecessarily if it's really
- 19:33Speaker 4: not that important to me. I think coming off of
- 19:37Speaker 4: the Housewives, I was so used to arguing for so
- 19:39Speaker 4: long that I got used to just being known and
- 19:43Speaker 4: celebrated for that, for the conflict, for the snarky lines,
- 19:48Speaker 4: for the one liners, and spending a quarter of my
- 19:51Speaker 4: life on reality television, I became trained to kind of
- 19:57Speaker 4: be in conflict in some way, subconsciously or consciously. And
- 20:02Speaker 4: then one day I just decided I didn't want to
- 20:05Speaker 4: be in conflict anymore. It just wasn't fun, it wasn't positive,
- 20:08Speaker 4: it wasn't enjoyable. And it might be a quick hit
- 20:12Speaker 4: for something that you say that you may even really mean,
- 20:15Speaker 4: but it's not necessary. Some things are necessary to say
- 20:19Speaker 4: and some things are not, and you have to pick
- 20:21Speaker 4: your battles. And my New Year's resolution every year will
- 20:27Speaker 4: be to try less to sweat the small stuff, and
- 20:31Speaker 4: to try to stay out of the weeds and to
- 20:35Speaker 4: empower and educate others to be able to get into
- 20:39Speaker 4: those weeds for me and hope that they can handle it.
- 20:42Speaker 4: It is not easy to deal with all my weeds,
- 20:46Speaker 4: so hopefully somebody can do.
- 20:49Speaker 6: It this year.
- 20:50Speaker 24: Hey guys, it's Jana Kramer from the wind Down podcast
- 20:53Speaker 24: on iHeartRadio. Well, first and foremost, I just want to
- 20:56Speaker 24: say happy New Year's Happy twenty twenty four. We're in
- 21:00Speaker 24: a new year and it's a new start. It's a
- 21:03Speaker 24: fresh start for all of us, and that's what I
- 21:04Speaker 24: think is so exciting about the new year. I know
- 21:07Speaker 24: it can seem overwhelming, especially with making those New Year's resolutions.
- 21:11Speaker 24: So here's something that I do that I think could
- 21:13Speaker 24: also be helpful for those that feel that overwhelmed feeling
- 21:16Speaker 24: of having a New Year's resolution and then going, oh wait,
- 21:19Speaker 24: what was it again, and not sticking to it. So
- 21:22Speaker 24: I read this book called The Happiness Project, and basically
- 21:25Speaker 24: that book was every month, you make a resolution or
- 21:28Speaker 24: what you want to do different that month. So maybe
- 21:31Speaker 24: one month is I'm going to stop swearing as much.
- 21:34Speaker 24: Maybe the next month is I'm going to be more
- 21:36Speaker 24: positive and not be so pessimistic. I'm definitely going to
- 21:39Speaker 24: add that one back in. Another one is I'm just
- 21:42Speaker 24: going to be happier and not stressed. So my wish
- 21:45Speaker 24: for all of you this year is to not only
- 21:48Speaker 24: believe that it's going to be an amazing new year
- 21:51Speaker 24: for all of us, but to go into the new
- 21:53Speaker 24: year positive and having that train of thought, because that's
- 21:57Speaker 24: going to be My biggest resolution for this year is
- 21:59Speaker 24: to be more positive, less pessimistic, more half full than
- 22:03Speaker 24: half empty. And every month I'm going to set out
- 22:06Speaker 24: an intention for that month and really try to stick
- 22:08Speaker 24: to it, and I hope you guys do the same.
- 22:10Speaker 24: So happy New Year. Let this be the best new
- 22:12Speaker 24: year for all of us.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Hey everyone, I'm Dean.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Bell, I'm Caitlin Bell, and I'm Jared Habn and we
- 22:19Speaker 1: are the hosts of Help we Suck at being newlyweds.
- 22:22Speaker 1: My new Year's resolution Jared this year is to just
- 22:24Speaker 1: get super buff.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I want to get as buff as I possibly can't.
- 22:28Speaker 20: My new year's resolution is to meet new people, my
- 22:34Speaker 20: new friends.
- 22:34Speaker 3: We're moving to a new city, so that.
- 22:36Speaker 6: Is my goal.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And my new year's resolution is to make sure that
- 22:39Speaker 1: this podcast goes on into twenty twenty five.
- 22:42Speaker 6: That's probably the best one out there.
