Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's almost famous podcast. We're here still. It's a very
- 0:09Speaker 2: exciting time. We got to sit in on the reunion.
- 0:13Speaker 2: It was hosted by Wells Adams had some of our
- 0:17Speaker 2: favorites from Bachelor in Paradise. One of our favorites are
- 0:21Speaker 2: with us right now, Jeremy and Bailey, are we your favorites? Now,
- 0:30Speaker 2: we're gonna get to that because I think you got
- 0:33Speaker 2: very upset about something.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Well, let's just start there.
- 0:36Speaker 2: On our podcast, we did we made fun of you
- 0:39Speaker 2: two for swapping gum.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Oh I don't I don't even get pissed about that.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Was that I've been. I've been. I don't listen to
- 0:45Speaker 3: a lot of podcasts, but I got signed clips and
- 0:47Speaker 3: you guys, so you're just talking no way, Yeah I would,
- 0:53Speaker 3: I would love the clips. We never met in person.
- 0:56Speaker 4: So it's fair now that you've met us, now you
- 0:59Speaker 4: can love me.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Well, yeah, Bailey, you Jeremy, we're just gonna keep no
- 1:05Speaker 1: gum swapping.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Let me say, I feel like it wasn't that I
- 1:08Speaker 4: did get that clip. I I didn't think that the
- 1:10Speaker 4: gum swap people, I didn't think it was that gross. Also,
- 1:14Speaker 4: we're not allowed to married.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I'm married. Yes, I wouldn't do it with her.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Okay, listen, we're not allowed to have gum, like you're
- 1:21Speaker 4: not supposed to have gum when you're filming. And so
- 1:24Speaker 4: the reason we would just swap it is because we're
- 1:26Speaker 4: just like, you know, it's a ration, like you're ras
- 1:31Speaker 4: like we're rationing gum. People don't understand. We're in a war.
- 1:36Speaker 3: War.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Here's how one of you the gum swapping. This was
- 1:42Speaker 2: never meant to be a hit or an attack on YouTube.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I think it's in one of those gray areas that
- 1:48Speaker 2: some might say that's not gross. And you could look
- 1:50Speaker 2: at me and say that's crazy that you would not
- 1:52Speaker 2: swap gum with your wife, which you would be entitled
- 1:56Speaker 2: to say that, And I could think about that and
- 1:57Speaker 2: be like, yeah, that is actually kind of weird that
- 1:58Speaker 2: I wouldn't swap gum with my wife. However, I think
- 2:02Speaker 2: there's another side that would say that is very weird,
- 2:05Speaker 2: like that is that is as freaky as you can
- 2:07Speaker 2: get it.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yeah, food from the deal. Okay, to be fair, we
- 2:12Speaker 1: would never like eat let's talk about it, never like
- 2:18Speaker 1: eat food and then choose the gum.
- 2:20Speaker 4: It's kind of just like you have a moment where
- 2:22Speaker 4: you're like, I would love a piece of gum right now.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Maybe I want free choose.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Maybe I Well, when you are in paradise, you do
- 2:28Speaker 2: resort to crazy, you're in.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Tough times, you're rationing, you're.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I think it is a polarizing moment because the show
- 2:37Speaker 2: showed it, so I think they wanted a reaction like
- 2:40Speaker 2: they would have showed that.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I don't think we were expecting that.
- 2:43Speaker 3: We were fine with it, but we're like out of everything.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Sure, this sounds like can we get a conversation abouts
- 2:48Speaker 4: talking about our future?
- 2:49Speaker 1: They were like, no, no, the gum. I love it, Jermy.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I do want you to just send the clips because
- 2:56Speaker 2: I did not come into this. It's expecting you have
- 2:59Speaker 2: a job. I do have a job. We've had this
- 3:02Speaker 2: job for many years. Uh, and I came into this
- 3:05Speaker 2: interview excited to talk to you, but.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I do want to hear for a reason.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Jeremy, you didn't necessarily from the viewers and the
- 3:12Speaker 2: listeners that were to send you didn't necessarily know if
- 3:14Speaker 2: you wanted to come to this reunion. I think you
- 3:17Speaker 2: put a poll online at shows here asking if you
- 3:20Speaker 2: should come or not. It felt like you were kind
- 3:21Speaker 2: of leaning on I don't want to be here? Do
- 3:24Speaker 2: you actually want to be here? Did you want to
- 3:26Speaker 2: come today?
- 3:27Speaker 3: I didn't necessarily want to come for other reasons that
- 3:31Speaker 3: I probably am not allowed to say, but I'm obviously here,
- 3:34Speaker 3: and I wanted it whether I wanted to come or not.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I know Bailey wanted to come, so I was going
- 3:38Speaker 3: to come and support her and support us, yeah, and
- 3:40Speaker 3: talk about our journey a bit. But I'm obviously happy
- 3:43Speaker 3: to see my We're also.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Like under contract, so we have to come.
- 3:47Speaker 1: But I don't think you really choice.
- 3:50Speaker 4: But yeah, no, I think we did want to come
- 3:54Speaker 4: to be able to like share moments of like our relationship,
- 3:57Speaker 4: and you know, also, I think a lot of peop
- 4:00Speaker 4: people have had a lot of questions for us, and
- 4:01Speaker 4: there's obviously not a time where we can be like,
- 4:03Speaker 4: let us answer all these questions on our story about
- 4:06Speaker 4: why this happened and what you know, being able to
- 4:09Speaker 4: you know, just like a test for things, and also
- 4:12Speaker 4: share other conversations that happened. So I feel like that's
- 4:14Speaker 4: why we wanted to come. I think you always get nervous,
- 4:17Speaker 4: just like on the drama level of just being like, Okay,
- 4:19Speaker 4: are we going to be included or what if someone
- 4:21Speaker 4: has a vendetta? But I feel like overall the reunion
- 4:24Speaker 4: went really well for us, and I think we really
- 4:26Speaker 4: patched up things with other people that we may have
- 4:28Speaker 4: had lingering.
- 4:29Speaker 3: So yeah, I think my part of it is we're
- 4:32Speaker 3: just tired, like it's been ten long weeks in them,
- 4:35Speaker 3: like we knew this would be, like there would be
- 4:38Speaker 3: something out of it, sometimes.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Two episodes a week, and that.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Was five hours and three hours. I think like both
- 4:45Speaker 3: of us were just exhausted, which I was like, I go,
- 4:48Speaker 3: we're here, We're happy to be here.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Well, I'm glad you're happy to be here, because when
- 4:52Speaker 2: we plan this whole thing out and I was told
- 4:54Speaker 2: that I was being asked to speak with each couple,
- 4:56Speaker 2: I did want to speak with the two of you
- 4:58Speaker 2: because this season, for me, I was trying to figure
- 5:01Speaker 2: out a way to word it, and I'm gonna try
- 5:05Speaker 2: to do in the way I thought about in the
- 5:06Speaker 2: plane today coming here. Your relationship is a really beautiful relationship.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It is, and when we saw so much of that
- 5:14Speaker 2: and we saw the depths of it, and I felt
- 5:16Speaker 2: like from a viewers standpoint, all of a sudden, at
- 5:19Speaker 2: the very end of your journey, that relationship was put
- 5:23Speaker 2: into question from the viewer's eyeballs, right, like everything was
- 5:26Speaker 2: great and beautiful when you guys were solid and strong,
- 5:28Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, this controversy comes out
- 5:31Speaker 2: and then you guys go home. Yeah, and there was
- 5:34Speaker 2: and I think unfortunately with Paradise, there isn't that kind
- 5:38Speaker 2: of limbo stage where you get to see you to heal.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Viewers had the question of are they still together? Are
- 5:44Speaker 2: they actually mad at each other? And then we see
- 5:47Speaker 2: this like Brian thing come into play, and that felt
- 5:50Speaker 2: like it overshadowed everything that was built to that point.
- 5:54Speaker 2: That was my perspective as a viewer watching this. I
- 5:59Speaker 2: want to hear your respond to that and maybe if
- 6:01Speaker 2: you can walk us through your experience in Paradise.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, uh similar you know to you is that
- 6:10Speaker 3: it like it was upsetting to because I felt like
- 6:13Speaker 3: that power to anything, and we talked about it many times.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Obviously I was stupe passion fun or said some of
- 6:19Speaker 3: the stuff I did. But at the end of the day,
- 6:21Speaker 3: it was like a couple of days, like days out
- 6:24Speaker 3: of you know, four weeks of us filming. So we
- 6:26Speaker 3: were just upset that like our actual love story shown
- 6:29Speaker 3: and people are gonna question, like, oh dude, they even
- 6:31Speaker 3: like each other all this. Yeah, so that's what sucked.
- 6:34Speaker 3: But in reality, what it was is like there were
- 6:37Speaker 3: two people who literally, like I knew a lot of
- 6:39Speaker 3: people going who are going to be at the beach,
- 6:41Speaker 3: she was not one of them. And by chance, we
- 6:44Speaker 3: just like sat next to each other and started talking
- 6:46Speaker 3: and it was really like this like aw thing that
- 6:49Speaker 3: like developed over time. And then you know, people rip
- 6:52Speaker 3: on the challenge part for you know, there are some
- 6:54Speaker 3: reasons to rip on it, but it was actually like
- 6:56Speaker 3: great to just like really get to each other better
- 6:59Speaker 3: and like communication and how to work together. And I
- 7:03Speaker 3: think unfortunately a lot of that was left out. But
- 7:06Speaker 3: like we left Paradise so strong, yeah, and like it's
- 7:10Speaker 3: been you know, one hundred times better then yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 4: And I think that's why we were also, I think
- 7:14Speaker 4: very caught off guard when we got sent home because
- 7:17Speaker 4: like I even with with the whole thing with Brian
- 7:22Speaker 4: and with the phone call and with the comments, like
- 7:24Speaker 4: I feel like we had so many long conversations that
- 7:29Speaker 4: weren't necessarily there's not enough time. Then out the amount
- 7:33Speaker 4: of time we spent on the conversations the same amount
- 7:35Speaker 4: of time as the show as an episode. So I
- 7:38Speaker 4: feel like, yeah, a lot of those moments get cut
- 7:41Speaker 4: and then obviously I think this a lot of that
- 7:44Speaker 4: the drama did overshadow still us being a strong couple
- 7:48Speaker 4: because we moved on from it. I feel like in
- 7:49Speaker 4: the real world, like you have challenges, you have things
- 7:52Speaker 4: that arise, you have conversations about it. You don't have
- 7:54Speaker 4: to rewatch them back with each other, but you know
- 7:56Speaker 4: what I mean, you move on from them. And so
- 7:59Speaker 4: I do wish that people really got to hear our
- 8:02Speaker 4: conversations in our really good moments together, but you know,
- 8:06Speaker 4: it's all part of a plan and we can't really
- 8:08Speaker 4: control anything.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Before I get two carried away, I do want to
- 8:21Speaker 2: give a shout out to the hotel. We're staying at,
- 8:24Speaker 2: the Porto Fino Hotel Marina. Escape the coast at the
- 8:28Speaker 2: Porto Fino Hotel Marina in Redondo Beach, Wake up to
- 8:32Speaker 2: the sweeping ocean views, then dye Marina front at the
- 8:35Speaker 2: Berlin Kitchen, where fresh flavors meet stunning King Harbor views
- 8:39Speaker 2: at Dockside Adventure center, rent kayaks, paddleboards, or take our
- 8:43Speaker 2: complimentary bikes out for a spin along the coast and
- 8:47Speaker 2: back to the hotel. Unwine in the living room the
- 8:49Speaker 2: Porto Fino pours self served tap wall and soak in
- 8:53Speaker 2: a breath taking coastal sunset. The Porto Fino Hotel and
- 8:57Speaker 2: marina where Coastal Charm meets in the Discovery. Now let's
- 9:01Speaker 2: get back to our interview. Well, that's one of the
- 9:06Speaker 2: frustrations I think that viewers would have is I think
- 9:09Speaker 2: we assumed you guys left the beach strong. We didn't
- 9:12Speaker 2: really know. We didn't know kind of what the behind
- 9:14Speaker 2: the scenes conversation is going to look like. You now
- 9:17Speaker 2: have been able to watch the whole season back, you've
- 9:18Speaker 2: been able to sit in the reunion, and kind of
- 9:21Speaker 2: for a very short period of time, you were not
- 9:22Speaker 2: the focus of the drama by any means.
- 9:24Speaker 1: There was a lot of Era's shop. We were nervous,
- 9:27Speaker 1: we were going to.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Be We were like, came and we're like, oh, yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 4: I want to thank everyone, thank our friends in there,
- 9:33Speaker 4: because we were all pretty leveled.
- 9:34Speaker 2: It wasn't it wasn't as aggressive as some conversations got
- 9:38Speaker 2: by any means, but you watched it back and you
- 9:41Speaker 2: obviously saw now the controversy, the phone call. You got
- 9:45Speaker 2: to see Brian's kind of you know, thought process to
- 9:49Speaker 2: the conversation he had with you, and all this kind
- 9:51Speaker 2: of fire.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Walk us through what it was like to watch it back.
- 9:55Speaker 2: But then also I think the interesting thing is how
- 9:57Speaker 2: did you to stay connected as a couple through watching
- 10:01Speaker 2: it back? Because it couldn't have been easy no matter what.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, you could talk more on it because obviously
- 10:08Speaker 3: had watch bag. It was hard for me to seeing her,
- 10:11Speaker 3: but we we had talked through everything there. We talked
- 10:17Speaker 3: the season started, and we obviously talked through while was airing.
- 10:21Speaker 3: But like we have grown so much and we're spending
- 10:25Speaker 3: like probably time than any couple together we've been.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I think we've been together for like this summer, so
- 10:35Speaker 4: that's been really nice.
- 10:36Speaker 3: So like, like what whatever happened, we had already worked
- 10:39Speaker 3: through and our relationship had gotten a million times stronger.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Like we're meeting each other's family, I went out to
- 10:45Speaker 3: our place, and so it was so far past that
- 10:48Speaker 3: that so it didn't make it like less hard to
- 10:53Speaker 3: watch back, but we just like remember that it was
- 10:56Speaker 3: in the past and there's times it was obviously.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it was. I knew conversations and moments
- 11:05Speaker 4: and comments were coming. It was never like I was
- 11:08Speaker 4: caught off guard by anything and I was just like,
- 11:09Speaker 4: oh my god, I'm shocked. I feel like, obviously it's
- 11:12Speaker 4: still hard because, like I know, we're together, and majority
- 11:15Speaker 4: of the episodes we did end up watching them together.
- 11:18Speaker 4: I think there was like maybe one or two where
- 11:20Speaker 4: I was like on the way to New York or
- 11:21Speaker 4: something where I watched it on the plane. So I think,
- 11:24Speaker 4: obviously those comments are going to be hard no matter
- 11:27Speaker 4: how you spin it, no matter what happened, it's still
- 11:29Speaker 4: hard to listen to. But I feel like we've done
- 11:32Speaker 4: a really good job of like communicating, and I feel
- 11:34Speaker 4: like he's also done a really good job of just
- 11:36Speaker 4: like listening to how I'm feeling or how overwhelmed I
- 11:39Speaker 4: am about the comments or the questions and the things
- 11:41Speaker 4: from so many people. And so I feel like I
- 11:44Speaker 4: have to give him props just like how he's handled that,
- 11:46Speaker 4: because he's really like with whatever questions or moments or
- 11:49Speaker 4: any time, like even if I brought it up today
- 11:51Speaker 4: and I needed questions about it, he would sit and
- 11:53Speaker 4: have answers for them, So I feel like that's been
- 11:56Speaker 4: really helpful in us being able to like grow from
- 11:58Speaker 4: those little moments. I also realized that like all of
- 12:01Speaker 4: that happened like over a span of a few days.
- 12:04Speaker 4: And then obviously it's hard because like I wasn't initially
- 12:06Speaker 4: told about the phone call, which I feel like is
- 12:08Speaker 4: so hard, But I also understand where everyone's coming from,
- 12:12Speaker 4: because like at that moment, we're like really focus on
- 12:15Speaker 4: the competition, like we were only focusing on like our
- 12:19Speaker 4: relationship and preparing for the challenges ahead and just being
- 12:23Speaker 4: like locked in on that, And so I feel like
- 12:25Speaker 4: a lot of that has to play with like timing
- 12:27Speaker 4: and things as well. So yeah, it's obviously it's like
- 12:31Speaker 4: who wants to hear those comments? Who wants to see
- 12:33Speaker 4: those things? Nobody does? But I also feel like I
- 12:36Speaker 4: knew they were coming, so I think it lessened the
- 12:38Speaker 4: blow a lot of me being like so distraught about them,
- 12:42Speaker 4: because I really had time. We had so many conversations
- 12:44Speaker 4: in Paradise after Paradise, like even just when we were
- 12:47Speaker 4: in the hotel coming back to be like in the
- 12:50Speaker 4: Jury of Peers for Paradise or the Parliament of paradise, Like,
- 12:53Speaker 4: you know, we had a lot of deep off camera
- 12:55Speaker 4: conversations that were really nice for us to just be
- 12:57Speaker 4: like okay, like we can really just lay everything out
- 13:01Speaker 4: and I think also work through logistics of just like
- 13:04Speaker 4: how we were going to work outside and you know.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'll be the first one to say I
- 13:09Speaker 3: should have sooner, Like my intent was ever by bioment
- 13:13Speaker 3: anything by not telling her that quickly, Like I knew
- 13:17Speaker 3: that if we were going to be together, I would
- 13:19Speaker 3: be telling her on the show too, So it's I
- 13:24Speaker 3: shouldn't have got Matt at Brian, Like me and Brian
- 13:26Speaker 3: have talked to times about this, and I should have
- 13:28Speaker 3: told her sooner. But like at the end of the day,
- 13:32Speaker 3: like it's in the past and it's something that work
- 13:35Speaker 3: together on and it has brought us closer.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think it says a lot about
- 13:40Speaker 2: the two of you. I also think it says a
- 13:42Speaker 2: lot about you, Bailey and kind of your understanding of
- 13:46Speaker 2: what show you were on and how messy can get.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And but Jeremy, for you, you're obviously deeply invested in
- 13:56Speaker 2: this relationship at this point, you're watching this season back,
- 14:00Speaker 2: you see this stuff starts to spiral out of control.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you, I mean, I've been through the show.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I know what it's like when things start spiring out
- 14:09Speaker 2: of control when you're watching it back, and how helpless
- 14:11Speaker 2: that sometimes feels. Jeremy, I want to get your perspective
- 14:15Speaker 2: on what kind of it meant to you for Bailey
- 14:18Speaker 2: to stay strong and stay engaged and stay in it.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Like everything in the world. Like I already knew she
- 14:23Speaker 3: was a great teammate from like not team, like a
- 14:26Speaker 3: challenge like partner from suffer going through, but then that
- 14:31Speaker 3: she's like she is my woman, and just like her
- 14:35Speaker 3: understanding of me as a person, and like where my
- 14:40Speaker 3: head is a right she means to me, and like
- 14:43Speaker 3: how I want things.
- 14:47Speaker 2: It's very lucky you are. Yeah, I mean, it's not
- 14:51Speaker 2: everybody does it. That's why the success rate is like
- 14:54Speaker 2: less than ten percent from the show, because these moments
- 14:56Speaker 2: break couples, but they also can bring them together and
- 14:59Speaker 2: make them stronger. Jeremy, you took some heat up on
- 15:02Speaker 2: stage here at the reunion. I didn't really understand what
- 15:05Speaker 2: was going on. I had to google a little bit.
- 15:08Speaker 2: It was about your dislike for the Goldens, and I
- 15:10Speaker 2: do feel like one of my jobs. I do still
- 15:14Speaker 2: want you to send me the clips, but one of
- 15:15Speaker 2: my jobs here almost famous, is to bring to light
- 15:18Speaker 2: anything that I think could potentially look really bad. And
- 15:21Speaker 2: I think that's a moment for you during the reunion
- 15:23Speaker 2: that will look not great, and so I want you
- 15:26Speaker 2: to have an opportunity to speak some more clarity into
- 15:29Speaker 2: what that whole thing was. The claim was made that
- 15:33Speaker 2: you didn't like the Goldens, and then a lot of
- 15:37Speaker 2: people started talking and you didn't really get to like clarify,
- 15:42Speaker 2: and then it moved on, and so I want this
- 15:44Speaker 2: to be a moment you can clarify.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Yeah. It was based off of a comment that I said,
- 15:48Speaker 3: like in our one on one day having dinner. I
- 15:50Speaker 3: was like, they just keep.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Going on a lot.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I don't hate them. I'll be the first one to
- 15:55Speaker 3: say I was not happy when it was announced that
- 15:59Speaker 3: they were coming.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Why is that?
- 16:01Speaker 3: Because I'm like, I don't think it should be mixed.
- 16:03Speaker 3: I think spots could be going to other people, Like,
- 16:05Speaker 3: I don't know how this will work. It felt weird.
- 16:09Speaker 2: So when they had you already agreed to be on
- 16:11Speaker 2: the show when that was announced, yeah, okay, so you
- 16:13Speaker 2: were like, oh no.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I did I called one of the show runners when
- 16:16Speaker 3: I was announced, I'm like, what it like, what is like?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yes?
- 16:20Speaker 3: But either way, So like when when at first when
- 16:22Speaker 3: they were there, I was like, and I'm nothing wrong
- 16:24Speaker 3: with golden parents.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I have parents, So that's what I want to make
- 16:30Speaker 2: sure that you're like if you were like, no, I
- 16:32Speaker 2: just don't like to go.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I will be that age in thirty years, so.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Hopefull I'm not going.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, like what I was like, I had that.
- 16:43Speaker 3: View at first, but like it did change. And like
- 16:46Speaker 3: Keith and Kathy especially, I love those guys. So I
- 16:50Speaker 3: like half the things that come out of my mouth
- 16:52Speaker 3: and it's not a good excuse are like rye. But
- 16:55Speaker 3: I said, like I hate them. I hate that they're
- 16:57Speaker 3: going on, which the monologues could be a bit boring.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Yeah, It's like when you have dinner with your parents
- 17:03Speaker 4: and you're like, Okay, I want to like get your
- 17:05Speaker 4: advice on this, and then you know you're they're also
- 17:07Speaker 4: like they kind of like they're like, have you given
- 17:09Speaker 4: to your four ok Like they're like have you like,
- 17:13Speaker 4: are you like investing your money?
- 17:14Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 17:15Speaker 4: So I feel like I get where he's coming from.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Like with that, but.
- 17:18Speaker 3: But thank you for giving me the chance. I don't
- 17:20Speaker 3: hate them a lot.
- 17:22Speaker 4: He loves Keith and Kathy especially even though he will
- 17:25Speaker 4: give Kathy a lot of But that's just because they have.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Kathy is like an like where you just give each
- 17:30Speaker 3: other every time, you get each other every time.

- 19:06Speaker 2: that will listen to the runion and also listen to
- 19:08Speaker 2: this is that because I think when you just listen
- 19:11Speaker 2: to it's gonna sound like you and Kathy are going
- 19:13Speaker 2: at it.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Oh no, it's like there's love there.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Like I saw her last night.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, she sat. She came in our hotel
- 19:18Speaker 4: where we looked at.
- 19:19Speaker 3: The like I saw. That was the first time I
- 19:21Speaker 3: saw Kathy since since Paradise, and the first thing I
- 19:24Speaker 3: said to her it's a trader because the whole time
- 19:27Speaker 3: I'm saying how much she loved those together home.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Well that's that's the segue here. As we close up
- 19:33Speaker 2: with the two of you, it was a very emotional
- 19:35Speaker 2: excp for you too. There was a lot of frustration
- 19:36Speaker 2: I think in both of your faces and confusion. I
- 19:39Speaker 2: would say, tell me if I'm wrong. As you were
- 19:42Speaker 2: told that you're leaving Costa Rica and leaving Paradise. Kathy
- 19:47Speaker 2: and Keith played a big role obviously in that exit.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Why were you so frustrated what was going through your minds?
- 19:54Speaker 2: Did you feel like it was unjust.
- 19:55Speaker 1: No, I don't.
- 19:56Speaker 3: I don't know if it was frustration, but like I
- 19:59Speaker 3: would say, you asked us two hours before the cocktail
- 20:02Speaker 3: party started if we were going to go home outside dance,
- 20:06Speaker 3: and it all happened quickly with like then we realized
- 20:09Speaker 3: that like Dale, who you know, we thought had our backs,
- 20:13Speaker 3: was kind of like going against us because he needs
- 20:15Speaker 3: to save himself. And Spencer, who had like pulled me
- 20:18Speaker 3: before saying like oh it never voted for us to
- 20:21Speaker 3: go home, and like we're all like we're kind of
- 20:24Speaker 3: learning that while the cocktail hour is going on. So
- 20:27Speaker 3: it was just a sense of like yeah, and we
- 20:30Speaker 3: were just like like we were fine.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Obviously, yeah we were fine.
- 20:35Speaker 4: It's kind of like, yeah, I think it was like
- 20:38Speaker 4: confusion mixed with I don't want to say like betrayal,
- 20:42Speaker 4: but I think you're just caught off guard because it's
- 20:44Speaker 4: like you know that you're gonna have to send friends home.
- 20:47Speaker 4: That's clear. I think that we just like weren't really
- 20:50Speaker 4: thinking it was gonna be us at this time. Like
- 20:52Speaker 4: I feel like we had done a really good job
- 20:54Speaker 4: of like standing up for all of our friends at
- 20:56Speaker 4: that moment, and obviously it was between us, and we
- 21:00Speaker 4: knew that we weren't going to vote justin Spencer. I
- 21:02Speaker 4: think everyone was very clear on that, like, you know,
- 21:04Speaker 4: I wanted them to get engaged. So I think that's
- 21:07Speaker 4: where it really went into. And then I think when
- 21:09Speaker 4: we came to terms with it, we really just spent
- 21:11Speaker 4: that time with each other and just realizing like, Okay,
- 21:14Speaker 4: it's not the end of the road. Yeah, it's the
- 21:15Speaker 4: end of five hundred thousand dollars, but I don't know,
- 21:18Speaker 4: we you know, we came to Paradise. We didn't think
- 21:21Speaker 4: we were going to find this, and so we left
- 21:22Speaker 4: with each other, and I feel like that's what's most important,
- 21:24Speaker 4: and I think we kept that like the goal with
- 21:27Speaker 4: all of it. Obviously, it's still it was hard in
- 21:30Speaker 4: that moment to be like okay, like and also I
- 21:33Speaker 4: just feel like I personally faced like a lot during
- 21:35Speaker 4: my Paradise journey, so I think I was just really
- 21:38Speaker 4: thrown off about that. So yeah, I think that was
- 21:41Speaker 4: that was really hard. And I think our conversation with
- 21:43Speaker 4: Keith and Cathy was also very difficult, And like I
- 21:45Speaker 4: talked about this with Kathy the reunion today, Like I
- 21:48Speaker 4: think she decided that she was voting based on who
- 21:51Speaker 4: she thought needed the money the most, or because we
- 21:53Speaker 4: didn't say that we wanted to start a family. And
- 21:54Speaker 4: so it gets hard because there's moments where you're like
- 21:57Speaker 4: you don't want to have to like plead for your
- 21:59Speaker 4: life if I feel like that's not really the kind
- 22:01Speaker 4: of people that we are. So we're kind of just
- 22:02Speaker 4: like you know, if you guys don't see it, then
- 22:05Speaker 4: like we just we have to you know, like we
- 22:07Speaker 4: have to just step.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Off the break to like our last conversation was with
- 22:12Speaker 3: Keith Cathy as like cocktail party wrapping up and like
- 22:15Speaker 3: we we're not going to be salesmen, Like yeah, knew
- 22:20Speaker 3: and they knew us as like as a couple, they
- 22:23Speaker 3: wanted us to move forward and have a chance.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Was up to the Yeah, and I will say like
- 22:29Speaker 4: we didn't feel like totally like Alex Andrew, you know,
- 22:32Speaker 4: they were there for us, like we we all had
- 22:34Speaker 4: a good conversation. So I think I also felt really
- 22:37Speaker 4: confident with that too, just being happy that like, you know,
- 22:40Speaker 4: it's hard, you don't want everyone turning on you. I
- 22:41Speaker 4: think that would have been really rough. So I'm glad
- 22:43Speaker 4: that those people had our back in that, and I
- 22:45Speaker 4: also like, you forget, you forgive, you forget, like it's whatever,
- 22:49Speaker 4: Like we're not mad at them, we get that it
- 22:52Speaker 4: was a typical difficult decision and when you kind of
- 22:55Speaker 4: like add up adversity, sometimes you're nervous. You don't want
- 22:57Speaker 4: to like it's like you're betting in like a weird way,
- 23:01Speaker 4: but yeah, you're having to bet on who you think
- 23:03Speaker 4: is going to like last the most, and everyone's just
- 23:06Speaker 4: like throwing it on a different scale. I guess. So, yeah,
- 23:09Speaker 4: it was hard, but I feel like we left happy
- 23:12Speaker 4: and that's all that matters.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Well, that's the final question for the two of you.
- 23:15Speaker 2: You've hinted at your relationship today, you did leave the beach,
- 23:21Speaker 2: You've talked about your time together, talked about your support
- 23:24Speaker 2: with each other. For listeners out there, for as much
- 23:28Speaker 2: as you want to share as a couple, what can
- 23:30Speaker 2: they look forward to?
- 23:31Speaker 1: Where do you see this going?
- 23:32Speaker 2: Maybe answering the question that everybody's asking, like is this
- 23:35Speaker 2: the real deal?
- 23:36Speaker 1: I think is what people are asking, and you answer
- 23:38Speaker 1: it in any way you feel comfortable.
- 23:41Speaker 3: I will say I've said this to her, like privately
- 23:43Speaker 3: that I've had a few girlfriends in situations, so this.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Is like never a girlfriend. Yeah, I've I've.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Like truly, like not just saying this, like I've never
- 23:56Speaker 3: felt something like this before. And I feel so blessed
- 24:01Speaker 3: and like I'm I don't get sick of her. I'm
- 24:04Speaker 3: excited to spend every day with her. I don't know,
- 24:07Speaker 3: I'm just so happy o game.
- 24:09Speaker 4: I feel like we're both kind of people where we
- 24:12Speaker 4: just don't like to do anything that we don't like
- 24:14Speaker 4: to do, and we love spending time together. We love
- 24:17Speaker 4: each other. We're really excited for what's to come at
- 24:20Speaker 4: the end of this year, you know, hopefully a lot
- 24:23Speaker 4: of time in New York and yeah, you know, bringing
- 24:26Speaker 4: my dog up if she likes it, and yeah, and
- 24:29Speaker 4: we've really done a good job, like we met each
- 24:32Speaker 4: other's families, and I feel like we've had so much
- 24:34Speaker 4: fun this summer, going to Portugal, going to Chicago, going
- 24:37Speaker 4: I've been to New York a ton of times, We've
- 24:38Speaker 4: been to LA So I think hopefully some more aligned
- 24:42Speaker 4: travels at the Ritz Carlton, maybe not camping, but I
- 24:46Speaker 4: do think that I do think that our future is
- 24:49Speaker 4: bright and I feel like We're just really happy to
- 24:51Speaker 4: spend it together.
- 24:52Speaker 1: And yeah, are you moving in? Did I hear that's
- 24:56Speaker 1: the plan?
- 24:56Speaker 4: Yeah, to go to China and then come back and
- 24:59Speaker 4: then see if works and then if you guys, I
- 25:01Speaker 4: think the problem is really just me moving all of
- 25:04Speaker 4: my clothes up to New York. I have an enormous
- 25:07Speaker 4: amount of clothing.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I'm very lucky that I have an apartment in New
- 25:11Speaker 3: York that has high ceiling loft so she can actually fit.
- 25:15Speaker 4: I have a closet upstairs, so I have a place
- 25:18Speaker 4: to hold everything. I think it's like the actual yea,
- 25:22Speaker 4: get going through it and then getting it up there.
- 25:25Speaker 4: I think that would be difficult, but I mean, yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 4: we pretty much live together now, so we spend every
- 25:30Speaker 4: moment together.
- 25:31Speaker 2: So that's amazing. Well, good congratulations to the two of you.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Thanks for coming on, Thank you, thanks for sitting through
