A drug kingpin known as “The King,” Guramrit Sidhu, just got a 20-year sentence for orchestrating a massive cross-border drug operation that moved half a ton of meth and nearly 400kg of cocaine worth up to $17 million in just five weeks. Using semi-trucks and a coded courier system, Sidhu ran a highly organized trafficking ring from the U.S. to Canada, was arrested in January, extradited, and pleaded guilty in March — becoming the seventh defendant in the case, with sentences ranging from 2 to 9 years.
